Great food. Good prices. Healthy alternative. Even the tofu was killer. This place is a keeper. Update Had the taquetos. They sucked

Everything they do shows extra care. For a health conscious Mexican food lover they have a lot to offer. Plus they're open later than the other similar restaurants in the area. We walked in 15 minutes before closing and stayed 30 minutes and they were really nice to us, above and beyond the call of duty. Great veggies, salsa, shrimps, everything!

The food here is excellent and the service is very friendly. I got my order to go here, and the staff was all smiles despite having just been through a lunch rush. When I freaked out a little after being offered some complimentary chips (OMG - calories!) he said he would be happy to give me just a few so I could sample them. I was given a larger container for salsa without being given a hard time-YES! The salsa bar is delicious. This place hit all the marks for a quicker service restaurant. They offer some nice touches like real china, and they deliver your food to you. What's great is that you can see about how many calories are in everything and make a decision with that in mind. Generous lo-cal portions? I'm so there. (Right now I have to be obsessive since I have a ton of injuries AND a slow thyroid. I can't win. Seriously, the next time you see a fat chick, take care not to judge.) It's more of a fresh-mex or nouveau-mex cuisine. If you want heavier food, you can get that too. I would totally go back-especially since I know clearly what is in everything and it's on the way between LA and Santa Barbara. The bathroom was spotless when I went! I am so glad this place is a chain! After hitting Sharky's in Pasadena, I had to go here, too. Parking sucks here. And some disrespectful dude snagged a handicapped spot. Thanks. I needed that spot. Grrr. Also, I ended up eating my salad next day and it was still fresh and delicious with tender chicken pieces. As long as you don't put dressing on it, it should be fine to save for later.

Food was cold the portion size was much to big the worst part was there were so many ingredients but the food was so bland. My girlfriend had the fiesta chicken burrito which tasted like seafood and I got the chicken nachos they were so gross cold and bland I will not be returning any time soon. On the other hand the customer service was very good!

I live in Orange County and while on my way to Santa Barbara for a wedding we stopped and decided to give this place a try. We were so glad we did. None of us had ever eating here before however it was a great experience. I would say its an upscale and healthy Mexican style of food. I had the Quinoa spinach salad. I added chicken and it was amazing! I'm 6'5 and it filled me up! (Not easily done) everyone else was impressed as well. The chips were over flowing and it didn't feel like a fast food restaurant at all. Even the playing looked great. Absolutely would go back, and can't wait for them to expand closer to home.

This place is good for a quickie, American style Mexican food meal. I had the shrimp burrito in whole wheat tortilla. I think it was $8 or $9. There were very few, very small shrimp in the burrito, but it did have a lot of rice and beans and overall, it was pretty tasty. My husband had the fried fish taco platter and thought it was "fine". Which is is usual "praise" for something that he would eat again if he had to, but wouldn't go out of his way to have on his own. The restaurant itself is clean and nicely laid out and the staff couldn't be more friendly or attentive.

I really enjoy this place and I almost always visit when I am in Ventura. They have a delicious assortment of vegetarian items, but I love the nachos. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. They have a salsa bar and refillable sodas.

$10 for a little steak burrito, the nerve! FYI: money is no object to me, I'm sitting in my yacht burning Franklin's for warmth. Just the principle.

Always good! Always fresh. Service is good. Salsa is good. Only bad thing was the fish that I ordered once it wasn't awful just over cooked. Everything looks amazing. When we go with friends no one ever complains. Definitely check it out!

We love Sharkey's! Super tasty food, that feels like you're eating relatively healthy. I love that they offer organic and gmo free foods. Salsa is good, and you can easily share a small nacho's with a loved on and walk away feeling full and satisfied. Prices are reasonable, and the staff is very friendly, and helpful. Also, if you're really trying to eat healthy, but want to eat out...their power plates are awesome. 1/2 size portions that My only gripe would be the parking. This shopping center can get a bit crazy, and parking can become impossible. There have been a couple of times we've gone over there to grab lunch, and then change our minds because no parking was available.

Sharkys has the best non taco truck tacos in SoCal. My former boss' mission in life was to find the best fish tacos, so we rotated through taco eateries and this was high on the list. I prefer the chicken tacos original style, and the salsa is amazing. Twice now my boyfriend and I have delayed our road trip back to SF to get lunch as soon as Sharky's opens. I hope they expand their franchises to the Bay Area!

Sharky's Breakdown: THE FOOD: It was pretty good. They have a good variety of things to order. I like that they have a salsa bar. I ordered the fajita burrito with beef. It was really yummy. THE VALUE: About $23 (i think) for 2 burritos, chips & salsa, & 2 drinks. THE EXPERIENCE: I felt like the customer service could have been better. I waited forever just to get a to go bag because I could not finish my burrito. Also, I thought it would have been nice if the lady taking our order let us know chips came with each meal (since it's not indicated on the menu). We told her it was our first time there before we ordered. When we finished ordering she asked if we wanted chips. It was A LOT of food. Anyway, that's not a huge deal. Just a tip to all who are first timers. You probably will not want to order chips. They came with each of our burritos.

This review is a long time coming. I love Sharky's! I don't know why it's received anything less than 5-stars because aside from the food, every person that works their is kind and willing to please. I have yet to experience anything less than great service. Food is always prompt and as expected. Unlike other restaurants, they constantly are cleaning up tables and booths. Just great place to grab lunch or dinner.

I recently heard that Sharky's in Ventura had changed hands and the new owners had made some improvement, so I went by to check 'em out. What a difference. It is basically the same Sharky's as before just with an updated, improved menu and some great customer service. Both my wife and I ordered the same as we usually do... Stacked Chicken Enchiladas yelp.com/biz_photos/bXUB… and Chicken Quesidilla Grande yelp.com/biz_photos/bXUB… Wow. Seriously amazing. The wifey loves Sharky's Stacked Chicken Enchiladas...she says it tastes almost like the Shack Sauce from Snapper Jack's in a whole dish. She gets it every time we come here. I asked for my quesidilla with nothing on top (no sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo) and I asked the friendly guy who was taking my order if I might be able to pay extra to get some extra cheese in my order. He told me that because I was not getting anything on top that he would be happy to just have them put some extra cheese in my quesidilla no charge. How awesome is that? Once again my quesidilla was the size of a medium pizza. What really impressed me was the quality and taste of the chicken...it had real flavor to it and was not over cooked. For the two of us with drinks the whole meal cost right around 20 bucks. Not a bad price for a good lunch...and one that seems halfway healthy in comparison to some of the other things I could eat for lunch. I am really happy with what the new owners have done with Sharky's and I look forward to coming back here in the future. :0)

Just had a nice lunch, salad for me and burrito for the hubs. The staff was super attentive, despite the busy lunch crowd. Great job - thanks for a great lunch experience

Great Food, reasonably priced, casual atmosphere and always clean. My favorite is their Power Plate-grilled steak-Super tender & flavorful. They would have gotten a FIVE STAR but could improve by lowering the tunes-Way too loud to even hear your lunch or dinner date.

Really good stuff. My girlfriend got the naked tostada chicken salad. Chicken was marinated in a chile lime thing, tostada crust itself even tasted good. I got a shrimp taco, which was pretty large as far as tacos go. Shrimp were cooked perfectly (not overcooked). Most importantly - seating at places like Baja Fresh usually sucks. Sharky's has good indoor/outdoor seating, so you aren't right up on your neighbor's business. Salsa bar was also maintained, clean. Lastly, people who worked there took my order quickly (someone dropped what they were doing to take my order quickly, and was polite). Lady whose job it was to keep things clean was also polite and doing a good job. I'd definitely return here, this place was better than expected.

If I'm eating at a Mexican chain restaurant, then it has to be Sharky's.The food is just hands down yummy, and you feel good about eating organic, hormone and pesticide-free food. They also have ORGANIC TOFU! For a flexitarian like me who only indulges in meat on the weekends, this is my top choice for lunch at the office. What I really love about this particular Ventura location is the outstanding customer service. I mean, it doesn't get any better than here. I am that annoying customer that has a million substitutions and no cheese, but yes sour cream and guacamole BUT ON THE SIDE, and extra pico de gallo blah blah blah... But the guys at Sharky's are pleasant and accommodate all my requests with a smile. Try the naked chicken tostada. Also, the nachos are huge. HUGE I SAY. Yup!

  • Ernie G.

For quick commercialized Mexican food, Sharky's does better then other in the same category (Baja Fresh or Chipotle). They have great flavor to most of the food I have tried. I really enjoy the stacked chicken enchiladas. This is a hearty meal so be ready. Or split it in 2 for 2 smaller meals. Their guacamole is tasty. Their stone fired pizzas are also faves. If you are not a fan of bbq sauce/onions...order the 4 cheese pizza (with steak ) ..yum!

  • Angie C.

Delicious! Power plate is my thing :-) the salsa is super good!! My hungry man gets the grande nachos.. HUGE!! Reasonably priced. & they have a point rewards program..

Not too bad at all, the flavor was good, but the steak in my burrito was a bit on the dry side.

    (4)
  • Justin R.

If you like Chipotle, you'll like Sharky's. A bigger menu same great quality ingredients! I ordered the fiesta burrito with steak! For about 7.99 and they throw in all of the fixings! Great food, tastes even better when you're hungry. A perfect pit stop on the way up north!

I love this place. Everything I have tried so far, which is literally half their menu, is awesome. I live their first burrito with grilled mahi mahi and also Love their large nachos with carne asada. It can feed three adults and it only cost 12 dollars or something. Military friendly with their 18% military discount. It's an automatic go to for my little family.

Love this place. My wife and I eat there a few times a month. My wife is a vegitarian so it helps that she can get tofu on any meal instead of meat. Always great service and delicious food. My favorite is the power plate with chicken broccoli and yams.

Truly unique food delivered to your table in eco-friendly real plates and bowls, Sharkey's Ventura is a seaside treat with outdoor seating as well as an indoor dining area that is well appointed. Endless healthy ice teas and other non-carbonated drinks are necessary if you enjoy the homemade fire salsa with your meal. I tried a new item on the menu, a naked wild salmon burrito that had the sushi seaweed paper layered under a whole wheat tortilla that was more of a Mu-Shu wrap. Smoky salmon with cabbage, cukes, rice, avocado and some sort of Asian sesame oil. It is a fusion experience that is hard to find. The menu said it was 550 calories but it was hard to believe. Our group had fajitas, pizza, steak and chicken power plates as well and we ate for an hour with multiple trips to the salsa bar to cover the dishes of chips that are addictive. The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon so there must be something going on here. I think I need to go back 4 or 5 times to figure it out.

Really Great Mexican food in the Ventura County area! their ingredients are the best and it shows in their food! Their salsa's are some of the most flavorful I have ever had!

Good American-Mex food. They're consistent with their service and taste. I don't know if this is true, but I feel like I'm eating healthy mexican food when I'm there.

The Food is great and great service. However yesterday around 3 as I was walking to bathroom, I fell so hard on the ground from the ground being sooo slippery . People saw workers came up to me. However no one took a report of my incident. And now I am supper sore. Coupe of employees there mentioned how other customers have fallen before but nothing was done. Now I will have to start going to dr. Ill make sure something gets done about this.

Blugh. That about sums it up. The food is fairly tasteless and has the nutritional feel of cardboard. Not my cup of tea. Two stars because the staff is very friendly and the place is clean and well managed.

Service was very poor. Girl at cash register ignored me. Waited and waited for my food. Had to ask where it was. Tables were dirty. Food was OK. Qdobas is better.

Yeah.... the new owners have worked out the kinks! Great food with some organic choices. I always get the Fiesta burrito on a wheat tortilla. YUMMY! Proud supporter of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Greater LA chapter (Ventura) Team in Training - GO TEAM!

Food was fantastic, the crew was happy and smiling, the salsa was good. We went with a Groupon to try it out again after having ok food and service in the past. It has to be a new crew that is running the show!

Sharky's is terrific. I always get their fajita bowl. They use fresh veggies (even squash!) and have huge portions for a bargain price. They have spoiled me so that when I go to other Mexican joints for a burrito, I always think, "I should've gone to Sharky's."

I ate at Sharky's a couple of years ago, when they first opened, and I wasn't that impressed. Recently a friend encouraged me to give it a try because of their healthy choices. I had the four cheese, chicken pizza and tortilla soup and they were excellent. The tortilla soup was very flavorful and wasn't heavy at. In all, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I talked to the manager and she said they make everything fresh, every day (except for a couple of the sauces). There are also a lot of whole-grain and low carb choices, which are rare for fast food.

While I was a college student back at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, one of the classes that I took was Hospitality Management. It gave us a general look at the business side of hotels and restaurants amongst other things (I was a sports management major). Our professor invited representatives of various businesses to speak to our class and the one that really stuck in my mind was a regional director for the Tex-Mex chain Chi-Chi's. Chi-Chi's had outlets spread across the nation including Midwest states like Ohio and Southwest states Arizona and Texas before closing in 2004. One of the things that he talked about was how Chi-Chi's had to change their recipes in different areas of the country because while people in the Southwest were used to and could handle spicy foods, typically people in the Midwest didn't like it that spicy, in fact virtually any level of spicy beyond ultra-mild could easily make the average Midwestern customer very unhappy with their meal. And a trip to Chi-Chi's confirmed what he said, it was super bland even for this big gringo. So what does that have to do with Sharky's Woodfire Mexican Grill? Let me put it this way, Sharky's tastes like it's the Ohio version of a Mexican restaurant, except the recipes got mixed up and are being used in Southern California instead Bland isn't even the right word to describe my chicken burrito with ranchero sauce. The only thing that had any flavor was the ranchero sauce, which just tasted like runny tomato paste. Not even dumping a whole cup of their spiciest salsa (a mild anywhere else) could save it. It was like a big black hole that sucked all the flavor out of the room. And while they do have very good chips, there is nothing to dip them in. The salsas are bad...and I can tolerate quite a bit when it comes to chips and salsa. I like chips and dips so much that I can usually stomach even mediocre salsa. But after a few dips, I just ate the chips. When I won't eat your salsa, there is definitely something wrong. I understand the concept of Sharky's - healthy, vegetarian friendly, Mexican food (you can get tofu as a "meat" choice and make everything without the tortilla for you carb conscious folks), but healthy doesn't mean that it has to be that dull. A little bit of spice won't ruin a diet. This ain't Ohio.

I went here for lunch recently with my wife and my year-old daughter. The food was average - I enjoyed my steak burito, but my wife's chicken taco bowl was bland and unappetizing. Here's the bigger issue I have: Since our toddler daughter was with us, I picked up one of the three high chairs that were available (a fourth one was already in use by another family). After carrying it all the way to our table I discovered the strap was broken, so I took it back and looked at the other two chairs. One was missing a strap completely, and the other was missing one of the fasteners. Out of the four high chairs only one was functional, and that was already in use by someone else. Eating my food with one hand while I used the other to keep my daughter safe wasn't very relaxing. I would recommend against eating here if you have children with you. Hopefully they at least have good liability insurance.

One of the most surprising fast food restaurants. Their food is smart and flavorful. The salsa bar is quite amazing and has a great range of flavors. I really enjoy how they have healthy menu. The lettuce chicken wraps are way too deliscious that you wouldn't have known that that it was very low in calories!

  • Liz M.

my friend go a salad and paid 2 dollars extra for chicken and there was barely any chicken on the salad. i got the fajita bowl and there was also barely any chicken. this place is expensive and they are cheating people on meat. never going back. i dont want to pay 8 dollars for a giant bowel of brown rice.

  • Kristie S.

Anywhere that serves tofu tacos is at the top of my list! There are lots of yummy choices here (many of them healthy) and the portions are good. Don't order the nachos by yourself -- it's huge!

  • eS P.

Really good Mexican food. I ate their initially when they first opened and the portions were amazingly well and prices were reasonable. The great thing is the food doesn't make you feel overly full because it's freshly grilled. I went back again and the portions were halved and the price went up about 50 cents... a total bummer.

  • Sean C.

This place has some great burritos! I always get the fiesta burrito and it has a nice fresh taste, spices and fulfilling taste. The salsa bar is also fantastic. My favorite salsa is the green salsa, I think it has avocado in it. The prices here are pretty high but it does seem to be worth it. The staff is also kind and will stay open later to allow guests to enjoy there meal. I also have a Sharky's card but I have yet to earn anything with it. It isn't the best loyalty program I have ever used and if there were coupons available I would certainly visit more often.

  • Sabine N.

This was my first visit at this particular location. I have been once to the Camarillo location before and loved it. Not very impressed. I guess it is where all the former Baja Fresh customers now go? Just OK for me.

    (3)
  • Davish B.

Always solid since they came to CA. It's far from authentic. But it's modern in all the right ways. That being said I hate their menu. They way it is presented. The way their burritos are. The fact that they don't have hard tacos. If they had hard shell tacos and al pastor, I'd never eat other Mexican food ever.

    (3)
  • Michael R.

Tried this place for the first time last week because my Ventura Axxess card had a buy one get one free deal. My wife ordered the shrimp tostada salad and a water and I had the chicken burrito and a caffeine free diet Coke. Even with the BOGO and my wife's free cup of water the bill was still $16 so be prepared but the food is good. Sharky's is another restaurant catering to the growing consumer base willing to pay a premium for organic ingredients and humane certified meat. My chicken burrito was no giant but I have to say it tasted fresh and flavorful. Ditto for the shrimp tostada. They also have a salsa bar with several fresh selections to choose from although none that were really outstanding. The service on the other hand definitely stood out. The staff is well trained and friendly enough to ignore the fact it was a bit mechanical. Try it or Diet Final Word If you don't mind paying a premium for fresh and organic... definitely try it.

I was originally a 3 star reviewer for Sharky's after having their chicken tacos, beans, and rice. This time I had the half salmon with quinoa, and creamy yams and totally blown away. The chef/cook grilled the salmon to perfection, it was very well season and went perfectly on a bed of quinoa and a side of creamy yams. It was all very good. It's nice to get some chips and salsa as well.

    (4)
  • Jessica S.

Delicious delicious delicious! First time I had the quinoa protein salad or something like that, it was absolutely frezzing inside the place so that is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. They did mess up my husbands order 2x but gladly fixed it so no big deal.

  • Dan P.

Great food with quick service. Their shrimp always tastes fresh as does everything else. The naked fajita bowl is quite good and low on the cals. Way to go Sharky's!!!

  • Emily G.

Sharkey's is a family favorite. Great food, great service. The new upgrades inside look amazing too. I love the fish tacos with salmon, any of their salads- but even the house salad is awesome, the kids' meals are huge and great value, and my husband loves the nachos and says the fajita bowl is great paired with their albondigas soup. Sharkey's cares about what goes into the food as well- this is important to our family. We will always frequent Sharkey's because of this.

    (5)
  • Steven E.

Great service, great food. They updated the dinning room recently, looks really nice. My daughter has some allergy issues, and they go out of their way to accommodate her.

    (5)
  • Rod F.

The food is always great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I always get the grilled chicken power plate and the rest of my family loves the nachos. We were helped by an especially sweet, friendly young woman named Julie I think, and she made sure our order was correct. This is one of our favorite places to go on Sunday after church for lunch but they are great for dinner as well!

    (5)
  • Matty C.

The Nachos are awesome here! The place is always packed and offers a solid selection. From low calorie to a fattening as can be. You won't be disappointed.

  • Audrey A.

Just grabbed some dinner from this place. It was just okay. I really wanted to like this place since they seem like they care about what goes into their food, but it wasn't anything that great. I had the "big shrimp wet burrito", which had some good flavor (the reason for the three stars and not one star) and the burrito was packed too. Though, there wasn't as much shrimp in it as I would have liked for the price. The boyfriend had the "bbq chicken chipotle pizza" and he said it was just okay as well. He said he was expecting a little more for $10 (even though this isn't necessarily a pizza joint), and was a little disappointed in the crust (he kept comparing it to cardboard). My main con with our food is the fact that it was all cold. Nothing really looked fresh or like the food was just made (and we only live 10 minutes away). I want to try it again but this time go in, sit down, and eat there instead of picking it up to see if maybe the food is fresher!

I think this place gets a bad rap for being a chain. The tofu burritos are what I come here for and they consistently surprise me by how much I enjoy it. a great option to nail that burrito craving without the stomach bomb. Overall an underrated restaurant, the customer service is always perfect

  • Sydney H.

I go to this place ALL THE TIME. Everyone loves it. The employees are extremely nice and they have awesome customer service. The nachos are my all time favorite. I also love the fiesta burrito, and if you're conscious of what you're eating they have power plates which are also quite yummy. It definitely isn't authentic Mexican food, so if that's what you're looking for I'm not quite sure that this is your place. The salsa bar is great and they just renovated so the place looks even better! They're super clean, delicious, and friendly.. Not much more I can ask for.

  • Angela R.

First time here and I ordered the nachos with grilled chicken. They were bomb I must say! The salsa bar has a great variety to choose from. I will definitely come back here!

  • Michael R.

This is a great place to grab lunch or a quick dinner. They always offer you free tortilla chips and salsa bar with anything you order. The staff is always very nice and the place always looks very clean. For a fast food "Mexican" place its very good. Their Wahoo tacos are very delicious with a generous portion of fish and a great achiote sauce. Another good thing to try if you are vegan/vegetarian is their Fajita Burrito with Tofu, it satisfies all of your cravings for burritos without compromise :) And if you want a drink I highly recommend their tropical Iced Tea!

    (4)
  • Vicky Z.

The Nachos are to-die-for! The serving size is enough to feed 3 people easily, and the half-order is plenty for two. I love the original salsa here too. This location is clean and the staff is super-friendly.

    (5)
  • Craig C.

Excellent food, healthy choices and prepared fresh to order each and every time. Dan tab manager is always present to help make the dining experience the best.

I love love love Sharkey's This location has friendly staff and the food comes out quickly. The parking is a bit annoying, but if you don't mind walking, just park in the adjacent lot to make your life easier. I love the power plates and the burritos. Keep doing what you're doing!

So unexpectedly good! A great feed after a long day's drive.

  • Sarah B.

This Sharkys used to be really good. It's gone way down hill lately. Today I asked for a side of avocado and it was rotten. The food isn't as fresh as it used to be. Wilted lettuce on the salad.... It's like they've gotten really careless and don't take pride in the food they're making anymore.

I used to visit the Sharkys in Camarillo a lot because I used to work nearby. Now this is my spot because my college is nearby and I enjoy eating healthy. Great service & atmosphere. You have a choice of dining inside or outside. Also try their excellent salsa bar

We arrived for an early dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the aesthetics of this restaurant as well as the courteous staff. We ordered their Asada tacos on corn tortillas with black beans and brown rice, their chicken tostada, and chicken tacos with the same black beans/brown rice. Each meal consisted of fresh ingredients and they each tasted wonderful. I highly recommend their stacked chicken tostada and their medium (or even their smoked) salsa with their tacos/chips. Well worth the visit.

This place is great!! The staff is on par, it's a clean restaurant and food is tasty and comes out fast. This place is always packed which is a good sign!! I love that they have a lighter menu for those trying to watch their calories. I recommend the naked chicle fajita bowl. I'm not sure how they marinate it, but their chicken is amazing!! I have yet to replicate it at home :) good eats, I highly recommend!

Surprisingly good After running miles upon miles in the Santa Monica mountains then trekking all over the Camarillo outlets, one can get hungry. The beer selection is okay The food is not bad The price point is good Will I be back? If I am around the Camarillo outlet

Where do I start? I'll just stick to the pros and cons. PROS--the food is ok, and the place is clean. The workers are nice too. CONS--Overpriced. Not really Mexican food, more like American style Mexican food. You can't say you are a Mexican restaurant and not have carnitas, shredded beef, al pasor, or carne asada. The hottest salsa says it's "killer hot", but it really isn't...I guess that's a matter of perspective. This place attempts to appeal to those who want to save the world, which is fine, but also why it's prices are a bit higher than others. This is the type of place to go with a non-Mexican if you want Mexican food. For the local crowd, I would say this is the equivalent to Snapper Jacks by the college. I'd recommend going to Snapper Jacks than this place. Food tastes better, better selection, better salsa too. Of course, if you want more authentic Mexican food you can go to Corrales, Johnnies on the Ave., La Parrilla by Ventura College, or Maggie's too....not to mention numerous places in Oxnard. If you want to stick to the corporate-style chains, Rubio's, La Salsa, and Baja Fresh are the equivalent to Sharky's. I'd recommend all 3 over Sharky's due to price, taste, and salsa...as I've been to all. The best way to determine whether I like a place is whether I will go back and spend my money there again: I will not be back.

I usually visit Sharky's on my lunch break and sometimes for dinner. They have amazing mild salsa! I mean, it's really good. I usually order the veggie quesadilla, which is huge, definitely can split it with two maybe three people. Very good little takeout "American" Mexican grill!

The salsa bar is so fresh and always full!! This is my first time here so I have only tried one thing. Steak was so tender on my burrito and with flavor. I will definitely come back to try more!!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
