My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here. We do so annually. We still do not understand why this place only has four stars!! From entering to exiting, our experience is always the best. They demonstrate consistent superior customer orientated service. The food is top quality. They made our anniversary special with a greeting card and some sweet double chocolate cake at the end of the night (our fave). Yes it is pricey, but I think it is worth every penny for a fine quality experience. I was only disappointed that they had standard lemonade (I can get this at Carl's Jr lol). I was expecting something different but I realize that's not their speciality. It's also not enough for me to deduct a star.

Avoid Ruth Chris, Mortons, or any other steakhouse ... larsens is the real deal. Start off with the most incredible fresh baked bread and indulge in prime cuts of meat with killer sides. Most times I've been they have had the bone in filet. Check out their happy hour in the bar with live piano music and a few great and notable options: (1) 6 oz of filet medallions for about $20, (2) the most incredible band breaded chicken tenders, (3) obvious drink specials. For an even better deal, pick up a few gift cards at costco (they sell $100 for $80).

This was our first time here AND we brought our very good friends here with us. 1. The music, although nice was very loud. 2. Our guest ordered a rib eye steak that we had to send back not once but twice. It was ordered medium rare and came out more medium and then came out medium well. Now the chef did come out both times and apologized but at $69 for the steak alone it was rather disappointing. Even more disappointing was when the new cook was blamed for the mistake - ultimately the blame should go to the person responsible for checking the order before it goes out. We go to a variety of high end restaurants and for the cost - I would much rather drive to Mortons instead. oh and even the day we had called to make the reservations, we couldn't hardly heat the person on the phone and she couldn't hear us because the music was too loud. If planning on spending this kind of money for a nice dinner, I would suggest elsewhere.

My first impression was The atmosphere of the place is quite nice, wasn't too loud, dimly lit with comfortable chairs, a cozy room filled with respectable patrons not infatuated with selfies and flash photography. Now seated, I had a bad feeling upon sitting noticing an obvious dirty knife face up, so fast forward and onto the food... My Chilean sea bass, too crisp outside and mush on the inside. The taste was fair, I've had catfish in south Pasadena that was better. The steak was far from perfect. Better steaks have came out of my mechanics kitchen. At a steakhouse steak they should be perfect, that's why a premium is paid. Another negative was drink order wait times were high 15+min for a single draft beer....and it came after I finished eating --. I believe that delay was a bar service issue and a manager not following through after he asked if I wanted another. The waiter did great, Brian was very likable, true service professional. We will not return, due to having diarrhea later in the evening to the next morning and the less than satisfactory steak.

Best happy hour around!! Staff is very friendly and the pianist is always on point. The chef Humberto always makes sure to come to our table to say hello and check if the food was as expected. My coworkers and I always get the Kobe sliders, fries, and banana cheesecake.

2014: Valencia needed this type of venue. The moment you walk in, you feel the fine dining experience. From the 'we may be able to find you a table' to the high prices, Larsen's serves its purpose. With that said, my wife has sent her steak back every time we have been there. Granted she is picky, these returns were fully justified. In December our server brought two steaks in a row that were rare. Even after cooking the steak a second time, it was still rare as defined by any chefs interpretation. The third attempt came back well done. The server was in full agreement, the head chef came to the table and agreed with us. We were fine and patient but when the Manager came to the table he told our party that we didn't know what 'medium' meant and suggested that next time we come we should ask for the meat to be cooked 'well done' to achieve the 'medium' that we desired. He was very condescending and rude.

Updating to four stars. Been here a few more times since the last review and it was clearly an anomaly for service. Service and food has been top notch since then. The Lobster Bisque still my favorite. Filet with peppercorn sauce is worth the price of admission. Bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer is amazing.

Food on point! The ribeye was to die for, drinks got creative with the bartender who was awesome..:) Atmosphere was nice, piano, sax, great company, who can complain? Highly recommend..:)

We celebrated a birthday in this sophisticated restaurant in the Town Center of Valencia. The service was superb, as well as the steaks,. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, at $42.00..and I could smell it coming from 3 feet away. So disappointing. Did not tell the waiter to take it back. Everyone was enjoying their meal, but I could not. Wrote Larsen's twice...never received a response. Therefore this note on Yelp. SEND IT BACK. Don't suffer in silence.

Wonderfull food, amazing steaks, salad to die for. Everything we ordered was yummie. Only complaint was that it was a bit dark inside and couldn't read the menu's. At least it was that way the night we were there. Pricey but well worth it. The chef does a meet and greet. Loved it.

Hubby and I went here on the spur the moment after some shopping on a Saturday evening. We were seated right away. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and cajun shrimp for appetizers. So delicious, the shrimp were huge and well seasoned. Our waiter suggested some of their best steaks; I chose the Tomahawk steak, hubby ordered the Wagyu both with lobster tails. For sides we ordered Jalapeño mac n cheese, grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes. The chef greeted us personally after we ordered and asked if he could send us bruschetta to try. It was DELICIOUS! Our steak and lobsters came out shortly after and everything was delicious. I was a little disappointed my steak was a little more rare than I had asked but it was tasty nonetheless. Lobster was absolutely amazing when dipped in the butter it was slightly sweet and melted in your mouth. Sides were Terrific. After we finished the Chef came out and asked how everything was and asked if wed be up to dessert. He told us theres about 60 desserts that are not on the menu and suggested the fried bread pudding...OMG. If you have ever watched the movie Ratatouille, when after tasting the dish the guy starts having flashbacks of his childhood and beautiful moments watching his mama cook in the kitchen. That happened to the both of us. A single tear ran down my cheek, Seriously. Best bread pudding Ive ever had. $600 well spent!

Great food, great wine, and great service! Larsen's hands down is better than any other steakhouse in LA area. Filet is tender, tasty, juicy, and just melts in your mouth. Grilled asparagus are fabulous and with a touch of balsamic reduction. I could eat the entire side myself ... oh wait I did! Creamy garlic mashed potatoes are divine. Malbec wine is fabulous and a very nice touch with dessert from staff on Anniversary celebration.

Definitely a good steakhouse for this area, if you're in the Town Center area of Santa Clarita! The vibe is like most steakhouses, dark with subtle mood lighting and the live piano player and singer was a nice touch for a steak dinner. We had the dry and also the wet aged filet mignons, I prefer the dry aged one as it had a lot more flavor than the wet aged. The cream corn and sautéed spinach (not on the menu, but they can make it for you) were good sides. The cream corn is pretty rich but with the filet it balances out. The sautéed spinach was pretty good. For dessert we finished it off with the chocolate peanut butter cake and it was decadent. Very good and plenty to take home to enjoy later as well. The service is pretty good, it took a little longer than they told us for the table but our waitress Christie was great. She was very friendly and provided excellent service!

Exquisite food and ambiance. Chef Humberto is spectacular! Every time we dine here, he comes to our table to greet us and to make sure everything tastes great. Thier food is amazing! Where can you get service like this? The maitre d's are very attentive and so is the manager. The food is so delicious and they give you plenty. Save room for dessert if you can, our favorite is chef's banana cheesecake rolls. To. Die. For. We love Larsens!

Update: It was dark...but the wine list lit up. They knew it was our anniversary so they all signed a card for us. Nice attention to detail. Service was great (the chef and 2 different managers came to ask us about our meal, not to mention a couple of servers). The food: we ordered oysters, ribeye, chilean sea bass, and some sides. Oysters were fresh and tasted great. Ribeye was prepared medium, but unfortunately I've had better. (Charthouse, Houstons, Ruths Cris, even Yard House). Maybe I expected more sear and a melt in your mouth steak due to the high fat content, but it was a bit chewy. Chilean Sea Bass was good...cant really mess that up. The fish is always a winner. Despite all this they get 5 stars for their service. Great service makes food taste better. I really appreciated how they treated us. Original preview review: The menu looks great and were already planning our meal. Picking the ribeye. Also working up a craving for some oysters.

Best Steakhouse in SCV. The wife and I were very excited when we heard that Larsen's was coming to town. By far the entire night of food, drinks, service, and ambiance is superior to Mortons, Ruth Criss, Maestro's..etc... I don't understand the low reviews regarding expensive? I think the prices are more than fair. See you again this Friday Night!

Cocktails excellent, service spectacular, starters good, mains disappointing. I really want this restaurant to be successful, we need a good overpriced steakhouse in Santa Clarita because It's too expensive to take cabs to the valley from here for a nice fancy dinner out. It was my wife's birthday, so 5 if us were out for dinner. We were in a good party mood before we arrived having been celebrating at home earlier. The point being that if the food was even moderately interesting we would have been impressed. The cocktail menu is extensive and the Manhattan was delicious. We all had starters, the only interesting one was the Filet Mignon carpaccio. My shrimp were huge which scares me as I believe they are those Vietnamese hormone fed giants. The other starters were crab cake, lobster bisque and artichoke dip. All just ok nothing to write home about. So not a single surprise so far. Two orders of halibut were boring, my wife even left a piece on her plate. The two dry aged NY steaks were definitely NOT USDA Prime. And they were not trimmed well. Lots of grizzle on mine to be cut away. Very disappointing. Only one main course was described as good, the crab stuffed sole. For sides we had fries- ok, onion rings - too big, asparagus - nice. We also had what the menu described as sautéed mushrooms. Now regarding the mushrooms, they were sautéed in red wine. The wine being added to quickly darken them I bet. Tasted unbelievably bad to me. So I mentioned this to waiter. This is where service SHONE - unasked waiter came back with more mushrooms cooked without wine. Unfortunately chef had smothered them in garlic salt so I couldn't eat those either. And I like garlic a lot. We didn't have desert. We had a bottle of wine, several cocktails and a few beers. The price was not cheap, in fact it was expensive but I didn't mind that. As I said we need an overpriced good food steak house in SCV. This one has the overpriced right but needs to radically re do the cooking and food quality. My wife thought the restaurant was too old fashioned. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I wish them luck at Larsens, this is a tough market here. Folks here have champagne taste on a beer budget.

Ok. We (sheryl W and I) have been hearing wonderful things about Larsens since they opened. We chose tonight to go with some very close friends from out of town. Overall the experience was very good. But here's the thing. This is a fancy and expensive restaurant so for me the expectations are set higher. Let's face it.... no steak costs $70. When anyone pays that amount you are paying for the TOTAL experience. Everything needs to be perfect... we are seated and immediately a server brought us spinach dip appetizer. Although odd, we just figured that's what they do here. Moments later our server comes and inquires if we got that at the bar.... no it was just brought here. Well.... wrong table.... strike 1. My best friend orders a $60 steak medium rare... it's medium. At Dennys who cares.... $60 slab of meat we care.... strike 2...we were helped immediately and within moments the chef himself brings out the new steak.... impressive.... take back one strike. He waits until my friend checks the steak.... overcooked... my friend said "is that medium rare? The chef said "no medium well". The chef did all the right things and a third steak was on its way. Oh now the rest of us are about done eating.... third steak comes and cooked right... then we are told there is a new cook under training... STOP..... it's a $60 steak.... who's checking.... It's not the new cooks fault. Frankly it should have never been brought to the table..... strike 2 again. The manager stopped by when the chef brought the steak back the 1st time but did nothing... and never returned.... strike 3. I never look for anything free. The manager should have offered though to take that steak off or do something..... I paid over $300 for dinner just to be imbarrassed that I bought my friends there. In my opinion this is a sign of management problems. It wasn't the waiters fault or the chef or this new chef in training. The minute that appetizer was sent to the wrong table the management should have been all over that. My recommendation is that the managers need to go up to Monterey to The Sardine Factory. This is one of the best restaurants in the world. They have "service" to an art... Think about this managers.... I can go to Mortons... in Burbank...in Beverly Hills..... and never have any of these issues.... oh and pay less for the experience...... how are you going to win me back? "SOCIAL"(great resturant) HERE I COME.

I took my wife there for the first time and we loved it!!! I had the Hawaiian marinade steak, per our server Gary. It was THEE BEST steak I had in my life. My wife ordered the aged filet mignon and she loved it. The lobster mash potatoes were everything!!! This is definitely our new steak spot.

Went on a date night with my wife. I really was craving a steak dinner. We decided on going here to eat. We both enjoy steak houses and we really enjoyed this one. We had no reservations and was seated promptly. We were immediately greeted by our waitress and had our drink orders in before we knew it. Great start. My wife ordered the 16oz New York and I got the 16oz Ribeye, both MR. We also ordered the sauté mushrooms and bacon, sundried tomato Mac and Cheese. As we were waiting, we had a boulle of warm bread and salted whipped butter at our table, nice. Our meal came to our table within 15mins. As we were eating, I noticed that my wife's steak tasted and smelled off. The GM Richard came to our table and immediately remedied the situation. He even introduced us to the Chef and came out to apologize. My wife steak came back better than ever. I was really impressed by the service, food and very professional demeanor. It really made me and my wife feel well taken cared of. I highly recommend this place. 5 stars for food and service.

Four stars because fancy steak houses tend to look washed out and boring!!! We went in with a party of four to enjoy a nice night out. Got seated right away and started roaming through the wine list. I didn't get much time to check out the restaurant in detail but the feel of it was blahhhhh! Maybe it was the plain decor... Or the weird grayish uniforms that the servers wear. Anywho got down to ordering the wine.. The group ordered the New York strip, filet mignon, heirloom tomato salad, creamy corn, mac and cheese, and the mashed potatoes. I don't eat steak so i enjoyed my heirloom tomato salad and some of the other sides.... For dessert we had some sort of banana caramel treat. ( note to add the dessert menu glows in the dark!! Cool right?) lol service was amazing!! The bread they bring out to eat was a little tough and messy to cut.. Flakes of dough would fly all over the table. I loved the food so I would definitely go back!!!! If you want to save some money or give a gift to someone special.. Costco ( via princessa exit) sells a packet of two $50 gift cards for only $79.99... Good deal save about $20 so check it out folks!!! Enjoy

We were celebrating Mother's Day as well as the engagement of my daughter. Dinner was superb as was the service. Ferris our server made the night even more special by providing excellent service, he was pleasant and very helpful offering great suggestions and off the menu dishes such as their delicious jalapeño mac & cheese. The ambiance is great. The lighting and the music make it a perfect place for a date or a pleasant dinner with the family. I loved the decoration and the comfortable seats. Undoubtedly one of the best fine dining restaurants in Santa Clarita.

Service was great, bread was great, sides were great, ambiance was great ... my filet mignon for $50 was bland. I was disappointed. My father felt the same about his. For half the price, I have eaten great filet mignon.

Go for happy hour if you prefer an older subdued bar with a pianist. The food is good and the drinks are well made. Dinner was just okay. For a pricey steakhouse, I expect perfection in service and food and it was just well....okay. The seafood platter was abundant...should be for $80 but the snow crab legs had the previously frozen texture, the oysters were rinsed off of flavor and the mussels were rubbery. I had to ask for lemons and cocktail forks...and the balsamic mignonette was just a ridiculous attempt at something different that just didn't work. I love steak tartare but this was a disaster...from the over capered tartare mix to the flacid toast points. My guest's aged NY strip was cooked perfectly with a nice charred crust on the outside and a lovely medium rare inside. The service staff were friendly and eager to please. The dining room was empty all night. I am guessing it is more of a special occasion restaurant.

Expensive. My 16 oz ribeye had good taste but excessive fat. Onion rings were also good but batter seemed undercooked. Everything was a la carte. No display of the different cuts of meat. I enjoyed dinner but have found other places with steaks as good or better for a third of the price.

It has almost been a year since we visited this place for the first time and since we have been here on 2 other occasions (one being last night) I decided to give a little update! There is one reason why I wanted to give an update and that is the fact that they really surprised us last night. We made reservations for 8:30 and as usual, the moment we walked through the door, we were seated right away. This was an even bigger deal for me right now, because I am in crutches due to a surgery. Once we sat down, we got our drinks and ordered our first round. My husband ordered the Flemming's salad and I had the Lobster Bisque. The salad is always a hit with me. It is so fresh and tasty and tangy with a bunch of blue cheese crumbles on top.... delicious. My Bisque was HEAVY! I was afraid I was not going to be able to eat my main dish! There were huge chunks of lobster and it was so creamy and tasty. For our main dishes hubby got the 10oz Grass Fed Filet Mignon Medium and I got the 12oz Filet Mignon Rare. They were both as outstanding as ever. My steak did not require a knife to cut it. It was pretty much completely raw inside, it wasn't even hot, it melted like butter. We shared the Sun dried tomato and bacon mac and cheese and again, it didn't disappoint. Our waitress was really sweet, I wish I remembered her name. She was very attentive and on point. My husband asked for the bill and the waitress informed us that there was a note on our reservation stating we were to get 2 desserts on them. She then walked away. She left us thinking! Did something happen at our last visit? How did we have a note from our last visit? Anyway she returned to the table and we asked her. She then told us that Larsen's likes to write notes on their regular's reservations. They write drinks of choice and sometimes give you a dessert on the house. This way the more you come in, the more they know about you and your personal preferences. I LOVED that. This is the small stuff that makes me want to come back over and over and over again. We did get dessert to go but to me, the fact that they put so much thought into their returning customers, it really impressed me. We will definitely continue coming back.

I tried Larson's for the first time this past weekend with my family and was a bit surprised to find such a nice steakhouse in Santa Clarita. I hadn't been to the area in a couple of years and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the location is. I remember Valencia in the 80's- lots of improvements all around. Well, initially the visit started off odd. We checked in for our reservation and the hostess said that our party checked in at the bar. We were meeting 4 additional people and none of them were in the bar, they were still on the freeway. So we went back to the hostess stand to let them know that they must have us confused with someone else and we just asked for the table (no seating options for 3 people available in the bar and I wasn't interested in standing room only at a nice restaurant). We were seated at the table but that seemed to throw off the wait staff that only 3 of us were seated at a table for 7. We eventually were brought the cocktail menu after asking our server. Which brings me to our server. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, a bit over the top for me, but sufficient. He had good menu recommendations for the most part and selected a nice bottle of wine for us. The food. Definitely order the bacon wrapped shrimp- well done Larson's, well done. The Oysters Rockefeller was okay, a solid B, but nothing compared to the same dish at Mastro's. Salads were solid- I enjoyed a garden salad with pecans, tasty. My dry aged, prime filet 8 oz. was okay. A little over cooked, not quite medium, otherwise I would have sent it back, but not really how I like it. You can't win them all. I was a bit disappointed with the sides. The asparagus was blah, the mushrooms are not worth it (just don't get them), and the broccolini was just okay. My family doesn't order starches for sides, so we didn't try any. For dessert, we tried the Banana Cheesecake (possibly one of the best desserts I've EVER had), the NY Cheesecake (good, but nothing to dream about later), and the Crème Brule (not worth it, should be taken off the menu, reworked, and added back when perfected- berries don't disguise lack of flavor). Overall, it was a pleasant meal, nice steakhouse ambiance, but two complaints. One- it's a big over-priced, not much, but maybe a couple of dollars per item. I love steakhouses and I seek them out. This one just pushes the envelope on price and I think they would be smart to align themselves with Ruth's Chris/Morton pricing rather than exceed Mastro's/Ocean Prime pricing. Two- what kind of steakhouse serves Choice and/or Select meat. Steakhouses serve PRIME- take that other crap off the menu or steak people like me will avoid your restaurant because you can't decide if you want to cater to the Mastro's crowd or the Outback crowd. That's all.

I reserved a table for 15 here for my wife's birthday, the staff was friendly and very helpful with any questions the party had about the food, it's a bit on the pricey side but not too bad for a steak house. The food is good overall but the portions were kind of small.

Dined on 1/24/2105 I must say that this was a great dining experience. The service was spot on. We had 2 Rib Eyes and a filet and all were cooked to perfection. I like mine Pittsburgh style and the chef nailed. The GM came over several times to check in and chat. Very friendly and had a great knowledge of wine. We went Nickel & Nickel Sullenger. Delicious. The GM brought the Chef out later to say hi. Very nice touch I could go on and on, but this was an A+ experience and would not hesitate to recommend or dine here again. Well Done Larsen's

One of the more upscale restaurants in Valencia and always had a wonderful menu selection. It's no maestro's but for the area it's great. Corkage fee was $15; always a good go to spot to entertain.

My boyfriend and I made reservations for our anniversary and they gave us a card right away, wishing us a happy anniversary! Very thoughtful. The restaurant is super dark but very romantic and sultry. The bread is super crispy/flaky on the outside, so yummy. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartar for starters and it was okay. I prefer Sisley Italian Kitchens tuna tartar. My boyfriend and I split the 16 oz New York strip. It was amazing! Crispy outside and was done to perfection. Too full for dessert but the blueberry lemon drop was a great treat. Good service too!

We had Christmas diinner at this incredible restaurant. The food was divine as was the service and ambiance. Thank you for being opened Christmas Day as I just had knee replacement and could not cook. My family and I voted this to be our best "Christmas Dinner EVER!! Thank you, Ian for accomodating my knee and all those that worked to serve us and make our Christmas very special! This is definitley the BEST Steakhouse in SCV. The salmon was tender and moist and the steaks are out-of-this-world!

For a nice romantic night out- take your significant other to Larson's. We ordered the the dry aged ribeye $65 but well worth it. So delicious. They served it with a side of sauced- I forget the name of it, but just added to the flavor. It's a big meaty steak. The sides are served family style. We ordered creamy spinach which was devine and asparagus. Took my parents here last week and they loved it. Make reservation and be prepared to spend a pretty penny.

Our family and friends love this place. We've had dinner in the past but what we frequently come here for is The Piano Hour. Amazing!!! Molly is our favorite bartender. She is knowledgeable, prompt, and makes you feel at home. Not just with us but all the other patrons. The happy hour menu is short but sweet. From the delicious martinis to the Cajun shrimp (my fave) you can't help but love it. Oh and the bread! Seriously you gotta try it. As long as Larsens stays open I will keep coming back! Ps: On Sundays Ann-Louise delight us with her piano skills and beautiful voice.

I went to Larsen's Steakhouse for my birthday. We sat at the bar and looked over the menu while we had some dirty martinis. The drinks tasted great and I enjoyed sitting at the bar sipping and talking. It was very crowded that night which was surprising since it was mid-week. It had a very upbeat and upscale feel to it. The bar area is small so you want to come early if you want to hang out in there. We were seated about 15 minutes after our early reservation time of 6pm. We sat in the dining room and looked over our backlit menu's that made it easy to read in the dimly lit restaurant. I liked that feature and hope to see more menu's like that in other restaurants in the future. I asked for au gratin potato's to go with my rib eye steak that I ordered and the waitress told me that they were already out of potato's because it was a busy night, which I found suspicious since they barely had just opened and we were one of the first patrons seated. Then I asked for the parmesan fries which she told me was only served at the bar and she couldn't take my order for that, which was also weird since we were seated about 15 feet from the bar. After finally making an order that was suitable for the waitress, we waited for what seemed like a long time but maybe it was my initial frustration with the ordering process. The food arrived hot and it tasted delicious and I may attempt another trip to Larsen's in hopes that was a fluke experience with the waitress because the food was pretty good.

Waited over an hour even though we had reservations. The medium rare steak had to be sent back two times for being very rare. Not the experience we were hoping for, and for the price it was really unacceptable.

Ok so I dont eat steak so I cant comment on that...but the rest of the food was so flavorful. The lobster bisque had big chunks of lobster, the bread was hot and fresh, the sea bass was very good. Paired that with the bacon and jalapeño mac n cheese and the pecan sweet potatoes. The ambience was nice too. Friendly staff.

During our staycation in Valencia (had to leave the house under repair) we always choose the Hyatt. It's great because we rediscover our own city. Larsen's is only open for dinner and perfect walk across our hotel. We decided to come for happy hour and they even have a piano at the bar. Oh and they make a perfectly potent Old Fashioned. Happy hour is from 5-7 with a great selection of food. We had the all-crab no-filler crab cake, home made lightly battered seasoned chicken tenders, authentic Cesar salad with anchovies and so much more. And they have Kurobota (black pig) 15 oz pork chop (from the main menu) perfectly cook and salted. Tender and so juicy with a side of baked garlic. Oh did I mentioned that the service is impeccable

Holy Sh*t! This steakhouse is heaven. The steak is amazing, you can't go wrong with any cut. The prime rib is so good, but now it's like only seasonal and not available all the time. It is so simple, but so delicious. The grass fed filet mignon melts in your mouth, you don't need to chew, it cuts like butter. The sides are perfection as well. This place is very expensive, but it is so worth what you pay. I can't wait for my next visit!

Boyfriend took me here, think he spent like $300 on two drinks and two entrees. SO worth it. I loved my salmon, although he wasn't a fan of his steak, I was pleased.

After so many months of hearing from friends to try this place...... We finally made it! We came in to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday, My daughter and I had an amazing Rib-Eye steak, although I should have had what my wife had. Their Prime Dry Aged Filet Mignon MAN o MAN was that so DELICIOUS! If you ever visit this place that is the way to go.... Prime Dry Aged Cuts! Do not choose otherwise or you will kick yourself. We made it a point to visit this place as much as we can & from now on we are in for their Prime Dry Aged meats! Enjoy the place service is excelent and you will nit be disappointed in any aspect of your visit GUARANTEED!

You must go to this restaurant! The food and service are outstanding. My wife and I happen to walk by and decided to go in for dinner on a Tuesday night. We were seated promptly even without having a reservation. We both had steaks for our main meal, which were very flavorful...superb! We also had the arugala salad, prawns, macaroni & cheese and sweet potatoes. All of it was excellent! The service was exceptional. We also shared a bottle of wine from Paso Robles (The Possessor). We ended the meal with coffee and a huge slice of new York style cheese cake. Which was excellent as well Did I mention that the chief stopped by our table to check on our meals. I think his name was Umberto. He too was charming. I was very surprised that this caliber of restaurant was right under my nose in Valencia. As I actually live in the Santa Clarita Valley. Larsens, you just bumped "The Alley" in Beverly Hills as my favorite restaurant. Tastefully Yours, Henry

Happy hour is the only thing I really ever come here for.. They make great martinis and the menu is pretty good.. Would I come here to eat a steak for the crazy amount they charge well no I don't think so that's what's mastros is for.. Parking is below below the plaza and I am not sure if they validate it.. However u get a nice outside sitting area for Ur drinks and view the Ventura traffic :)

I made reservations on Yelp for 6 people, wanted our guests to enjoy a great meal. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The service was good, the wine and cocktails were excellent, the steaks, which is why we went weren't special, were cold and didn't have much taste. I felt that for the amount paid the value wasn't there.

This was the last meal that my boyfriend and I shared before checking in to a hospital for him to give me one of his kidneys:) Needless to say, it was memorable. Delicious! We happened to be here on thanksgiving day but neither of us had the turkey special. We went wild... shrimp cocktail and grilled artichoke to start, then rack of lamb, filet minion, butternut squash, broccoli rab in a sun dried tomato wine sauce, broccoli au gratin. This restaurant earns four dollar signs but the food is amazing! Perfect for a special occasion.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. The food was alright. Nothing spectacular. The wait was a little long. Long enough for everyone to finish their drinks before the food even arrived. But that built up my anticipation and hunger. We finally got our food. My rib eye was not bad. It came with a side of asparagus and tomatoes. I also got to try a bite of everyone else's food. Everything was standard. Not something I'm dying to come back for, but a standard steak house in this part of town. The waitress came to ask how our food tasted and my friend mentioned that his filet mignon was a little tough but he said he'll get by with A1 sauce. The waitress offered to give him another one because "it's not supposed to need A1 sauce" LOL. My friend said it's fine and he'll just eat it. She later came by and said she spoke with the manager and took the filet mignon off the bill. Now THAT is a reason enough to come back. Superb service. check out my picture : )

Great service.. Great atmosphere. Piano in bar makes for a fun cocktail hour.. Had my grandmothers 87 th birthday.. The chef came out twice to our table. Waiter gave us excellent service..

Went here to celebrate my birthday with my husband. The atmosphere was perfect, and exactly what I would expect in a nice steakhouse. Subdued lighting, candles, soft music. And the service was impeccable. Waitstaff were very friendly, and everyone went out of their way to wish me happy birthday. I even got a little card signed by the staff, which was a nice and unexpected touch. The reason I didn't give this place 5 stars was, well, the food. It was good, but not fantastic. I will say my husband really enjoyed his steak, and he has high standards when it comes to good steak. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and the crabcakes. The crabcakes were packed full of real, flaky crab (and not a ton of breading filler) so they were definitely quality. And the sauce they were served with was nice. The bacon wrapped shrimp were large and crispy, if a little dry. They did come with two dipping sauces, a lobster cream and sweet chili. Both of our appetizers were good, they just seemed to be lacking the wow-factor. The flavors were just a touch on the bland side. For entrees, as I said already, my husband got the steak and he loved it. I got the salmon, and was probably the most disappointed with this dish. The outside was grilled to a nice crisp, and the inside was soft and flaky (not overcooked or dry) although it wasn't fall-apart-in-your-mouth fatty deliciousness. The flavor of the fish tasted more like farmed Atlantic salmon rather than any sort of fresh fish. I couldn't eat the fish by itself, it needed either the mashed potatoes or the garlic cream sauce to help with the flavor. (We also ordered the lobster mashed potatoes as a side. It was big enough for my husband and I to share and still have plenty left over, and tasted great, with lots of chunks of lobster on top). I feel like the fish itself was cooked properly, it just wasn't a high-quality piece of fish to begin with so they could only do so much with it. Not what I would expect from a high-end place. I would definitely go back here again (for a special occasion) but I'd probably skip the salmon. If you're a steak eater I think you will really enjoy this place. And as I said in the beginning, the staff and service were all amazing! Overall, I'd rate it: Staff A+, Service A+, Atmosphere A+, Food B.

Had dinner last night at Larsen's! As always very delicious. I want to thank Chason ( hope I spelled his name properly) and Nikki at the bar. Gina and Danny, my friends both had a cold. So the bartenders, though very busy, took the time to create them a hot toddy. They tried two different ways for Gina who did not care for the whiskey version. While super busy with other customers they tried again with ingredients they had to get from the kitchen. Thank you both for taking the time. We appreciated your over the top service!

The steak was great but the appetizers were the reason I'll be returning to Larsons. The asparagus was outstanding and the crab cakes were delicious. Great waiter who was attentive and friendly.

This review is for HAPPY HOUR only. We came on a Monday night around 5:30pm. I asked if Happy Hour was going on and was told NO. I glance over at the bar and I overheard the bartender telling another couple that they could order off the Happy Hour menu. Not sure why we were told that it wasn't going on. Anyway, we sat down and just ordered water to drink( we don't drink). My wife wasn't that hungry, so she got the HH cesar salad( 5.95), it was a decent size. I ordered a French onion soup off the regular menu( 9.00). It was really delicious, not salty at all. Probably the best French onion soup I've ever had. I also had a crab cake( 6.95) that was fantastic. Full of lump crab and not much filler. It was served on a sauce with a lemon wedge. It was cooked perfectly, not greasy at all. The warm bread was delicious as well. It tasted like brioche, it was so light and fluffy. Do yourself a favor and buy 2 50.00 gift cards for 79.00 at Costco. That's a 20% savings.

Really great food and service, it's pricey so it's not something we'll do regularly, but worth it occasionally. Not being a meat eater, they made me some pasta dish that was pretty good. Wife, son and dad ate steak, jalapeño mac and cheese, bacon wrapped shrimp and asparagus. All of it was amazing, but even with one vegan and two people sharing a dish the bill was close to $300.00

Way overpriced for the food. I mean WAY overpriced. The ribeye was very fatty to the point that I could say 4-5 oz of fat was cut off and thrown away. It was also difficult to chew and medium rare came so raw I had to send it back to heat it up. The prices are outrageous here! The ribeye (not bone in) was 65$ if I recall correctly and the filet mignon was 55$. I was just at SW Steakhouse in Las Vegas which for the ambiance and prime steaks clearly deserves these prices were actually priced 7-10 dollars less per cut. The bacon wrapped shrimp was over cooked and the bacon was so crispy/crunchy that it was very difficult to chew. The bread is a highlight. The filet was large and tasty, but again too expensive compared to top steakhouses in the city's prices. Even BOA or STK or MASTRO'S or Ruth's Chris is not as expensive at Larsen's. I think the best thing on the menu is an 8oz dry aged filet mignon. The bill for me and my two kids (ages 5 and 7) ordering a 10oz filet, the ribeye, the bacon shrimp and a 13$ glass of wine with tip and gratuity (we had dessert at yogurtland) was 230$! The quality of meat just does not deserve these very high prices.

Same price as Mastros and doesn't come close! Its just OK at best. Valencia needs some better restaurants. Happy hour is actually super cheap and pretty good food but if I'm going to spend $150 plus, I'm going to Mastros!

First time at a Larsen's and to be honest wasn't sure what to expect. I heard that it was quite pricey and yep - it was but I must say the service was spectacular. The food was very good although the creamed corn was not great. The chopped salad was great. The rib-eye was great and the pork chop was perfect. It is truly the most "upscale" restaurant in Valencia and it was a really nice dinner. The price for the entrees seems ok but the price for the sides is where I think they go wrong. I mean even Ruth Chris charges almost half for their sides than Larsen's. If you have the money you will have a really good dinner at Larsen's. Just be prepared.

I'm a big steakhouse guy. To date, Mastros Beverly Hills was #1. But no more. Larsen's now wear's the crown. From the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp, to the oysters and mussels to start. All very healthy servings. I had the bone in rib eye medium rare, which came out medium. However, they took it back immediately and brought it back, and it was the best ribeye I have ever had. To make up for that mistake, they comp'd the sides (sautéed mushrooms, jalapeño and bacon Mac n Cheese, creamed corn and mashed sweet potato), which were the best sides ever (sorry Mastros). And the customer service???? OMG. Kevin was Amazing and took excellent care of us. This is so far away but we will definitely be back.

It's a very nice restaurant. I love the wood and the dim lights. Piano was playing in the background that night. The service is exquisite. Everyone is very attentive. I was celebrating my boyfriend's bday. From the moment we sat down the waitress and busboy wished him a happy birthday. After our dinner they gave us a free chocolate cake dessert which was amazing! Along with a card signed by everyone who was on staff that night. The food was delicious. However, I felt like the steak was a bit too dry. Boyfriend had an aged steak and I had a wet steak and both were dry. It didn't have like a signature taste. The sides were great just unfortunately the steak didn't really impress us. Obviously Larsens being a steak house we were expecting a tad more. I was hoping this would beat Fleming's steak but it didnt'. Fleming's is still my top choice. Does this mean I wouldn't go back? No, I probably will but order something different or have as a second option if nothing else is available. I will try to give it another chance just not yet. *Info tip: When you order a salad make sure to order only one and you can share it with someone. They split my salad for both us. It is a very very large salad. Ordered: Filet Mignon Aged Steak with Lobster tail side of mac and cheese with Cesar salad with 2 glasses of wine = $189

We have been to Larsens a few times. This time was with friends. I ordered the chopped salad and miso black cod over spinach which was the special. It was delish. This is one of the nicer restaurants in Scv more suitable for adults with a bar and live piano music.

We had an excellent meal here very recently and enjoyed the ambiance, service and food. The restaurant is dimly lit but appears stylish; almost like they were going between a blend of 'old school' steakhouse with modern. The colors and lighting are old school but the furniture is more modern. We started with an Ahi Tuna appetizer that was fresh and large, perfect for sharing between three people. My lady and I also shared an excellent rendition of a Wedge Salad and I'm very glad we shared it--half a portion was still big. Best wedge salad I've had and they don't drown the lettuce in blue cheese dressing. We also split a 24oz Porterhouse steak and this was also a good choice. It was cooked spot on--medium rare with a nice outer sear but with a cool red center just as we wanted. Sides were mushrooms and asparagus--all large enough to be well shared by three people. Our server Farris was very friendly and helpful at recommending various items. Water glasses never got below half empty. The sommelier also checked on us numerous times and impacted our meal in a great way. I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area as it is certainly one of the top options in all of the SCV.

Took some friends here on 2 occasions and had great experiences both times. Some of the things we got were: bacon wrapped prawns - delicious spinach, crab & artichoke dip - yes, awesome lobster bisque - friends loved it... a lot caviar platter - friends enjoyed this quite a bit, especially the shots of vodka chopped salad - very good, fresh 8 oz. dry aged filet mignon - tender and juicy, perfect ribeye - hubby enjoyed it mac & cheese (plain) - wanted more of that! green beans - just ok, nothing great mushrooms - way too much rosemary for my taste, not good complimentary bread is amazing, I couldn't stop eating it! cheescake - delicious, nice end to the meal The servers and bussers are all VERY attentive and get you everything refilled without you even knowing sometimes. Pleasant experience with delicious food, albeit a little pricey, but worth it in my opinion. Will be back!

Excellent food! Excellent service(thank you Kevin)! Excellent experience! My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary. The staff presented us with a card with all of their signatures. Super sweet! We shared the bacon wrapped shrimp and steamed mussels and claims for our appetizers. So delish! I had the arugula salad(have them go light on the balsamic dressing) and my husband had the lobster bisque(best he has ever had). For our entrees we had the Chilean Sea Bass and Dry Age Bone In Ribeye. My husband added the lobster tail and we both loved our choices. We have fallen in love with Larsen's!

This place is phenomenal for being in Santa Clarita. I usually have to go out of the area for some spectacular food. Im not gunna lie, this place is pretty expensive but you get what you pay for. The service is awesome. The drinks were good. The steak was excellent. The ambiance is dark, romantic and an upscale setting. If you go to Larsens, you must have the Jalapeño Mac & Cheese.

I like going to Larsens for their happy hour.....I really enjoy the steak sliders. Beyond that, to me Larsens is nothing special, it is just one of a few restaurants here in town that we choose to visit on occasion.

if you need a super nice place to take your lover for a romantic evening, this is it. if you want the best of the best food this is it. its pricey but well worth the cost. service is top notch, and the asst. manager is super nice and accommodating to his customers. my girl friend and i were under dressed and unprepared for this type of dining experience, but the staff/manager made us feel like we were part of their family. the price would normally lose them a star but their attitude, service, and divine food and drink get these masters of culinary service the full 5.

This is a classy place, always an enjoyable time and really good service. I had the 12oz filet mignon with béarnaise sauce and we all shared several sides, Broccoli au gratin, asparagus, creamed corn and potatoes au gratin... We also shared the Crème Brule and chocolate bread pudding for dessert!!! If you are looking for some fine dining and don't mind spending a few bucks for it, this is the place. I would recommend making a reservation otherwise you might wait for a while. Enjoy!

I expected Morton's or Ruth Chris quality steaks and I was very disappointed. I ordered a bone-in filet (medium) and the steak came out detached from the bone, looking like it was beat with a meat cleaver, and was burnt on the outside. It was seasoned unevenly with 1/4 - 1/2 pieces of peppercorn and delivered with béarnaise sauce that I did not even request. There was a certain quality of service lacking here that you get at other steakhouses such as Morton's, Ruth Chris, Mastro's, or others. My wife ordered a NY Steak with a Lobster Tail. The lobster tail was overcooked, and the NY steak was tough. I expected the steak to be a little on a tough side given she ordered it well done, that said it really lacked flavor. She did not order a side of peppercorn sauce, but one came with her plate. It turned out it was needed else the steak was tough and tasteless. There was two of use sitting at a table for 4 people. No effort was made to remove the unused place setting until well after soups were served. I would rate it higher for food if I were comparing it to Applebee's, TGI Fridays, Chili's, etc ... but for the price , I expected much better quality and consistency. I see potential in this place, they have been in Santa Clarita for a while and I would have expected that they have worked out any kinks.

I think this may be my first 5-star review. So don't take this lightly! :-) Beautiful and classy all the way around. Entire staff in white shirts and tie. Everyone very polite and very nice. Staff was attentive in every way. We had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. It was pouring rain so at 1:30 it was probably not as busy as it usually is. Started off with a Chopped Salad side salad ($5) - candied pecans, tomatoes, etc.. It was big so was easy to share. Also ordered a small cup of chili. Basically huge chunks of tender filet Mignon with some beans and meat ($5). For the entree we had the Herb Crusted Chicken ($22). It was filled with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, broccoli and cheese. Very tender and moist and just delicious. For the side item we ordered grilled asparagus - grilled to perfection. Everything about the food is top notch. They are all about quality ingredients and it shows. So it is a bit pricey. But if you rationalize, and it makes sense, that if you skip two mediocre meals, it would pay for a really good meal here. Way worth it in my opinion. Yes, this place is fancy. Grand piano in the corner, etc. But if you stop in after doing a bit of shopping or after taking in a movie, I am sure you wouldn't feel out of place in your regular wear. But yes, if you'd like to make it a night, dress it up a bit and enjoy. PS: My sis and I are light eaters so even after splitting our lunch, we had leftovers!

We went to the Sunday Happy Hour. It was wonderful. Really good service too. The four of us split up these menu items. Wedge Salad (one of the best I've ever had), Filet Mignon sliders. Not so good. We wouldn't order them again. Kobe Beef sliders. These were truly delicious. Happy Hour wines were tasty. Especially the Malbec. My only complaint. The musicians were so loud. It was grating. They started quietly and by hour 2, I think they thought this was their live show at the Apollo. Please ladies. Back ground music. Hint. Hint.

We were here for our wedding anniversary on 5/15/15. They had honored our reservation for a booth. Service was very good although I felt rushed through the meal. We ordered a nice bottle of wine from a decent wine menu and asked for it to be decanted. I saw other diners complained about their wine prices, however, I did not feel they were out of line based on a high end restaurant. Steaks were good...bone in filets and the wedge salad and creamed spinich also yummy. Cheesecake and coffee was delicious. I took off a star for a really lousy key lime pie. Restaurant is noisy and dark. Bar is busy. Our server was Colin and pleasant to deal with. The sommelier came by twice to check on our wine. We've been to many fine dining steakhouses from Craftsteak to Ruth's Chris and it's nice to know that right here in our little corner of the world we can enjoy a luxurious meal without having to drive more than 10 minutes. We look forward to trying it again.....minus the key lime pie. Nice loaf of warm bread was served with dinner as well. Share your sides and salads unless you're starving. Would recommend! Also restaurant was very warm inside. Asked for a/c a few times.

Pretty excellent, very good happy hour weekdays at 5pm. Steaks are good, get the grass feed filet, blue cheese wedge, and the bread pudding is to die for. Bring your wallet and valet park or get stuck in the mall parking lot.

Read this review and save $25.00. My wife and I came to dinner for only the second time. No special occasion, just wanted a good meal. Larsen's has a $25.00 corking fee if you bring your own wine. The first time we went we brought our own wine (2 bottles) but we were not charged the corking fee. I didn't say anything because i am cheap and was afraid to be charged the corking fee. But I did leave a huge tip. I figured more for the waiter would be best since the service was great. Back to present time, I again brought my own wine, only this time I brought 3. Right after the waitress came to our table I said,"last time we were here we were not charged a corking fee and I am wondering how we can avoid it again." Of course I was expecting to be laughed at, but she said there was a way! She said if you shared your wine with your server, they would waive the corking fee!!!! I immediately started laughing. I realized that I had accidentally done everything right on our first visit by accident On the first visit, Not only did we share our wine with the bartender (we started off in the bar) but we shared wine with our server. We also shared the birthday cake we had brought. Pay it forward I think is the name of the game.

My previous experiences here were great, even if they messed up they fixed it. This time wasn't nearly as good. I ordered the rib eye. The meat inside was fine, but one side of the rib-eye was charred. Every bite had a burnt taste. The waiter told me this is normal for rib-eye hahaha. I ordered rib-eye here before and it was great. When you pay 48 bucks for a steak, it is supposed to be perfect. If it is not perfect, you take it back and make it right. That was very upsetting. A free dessert does not make up for a burnt steak. Even Black Angus would have cooked the steak better / handled this better. They just lost a customer. Too bad, my other reviews were positive.

I've been debating whether to write a review for this place, but after mulling it over for a week, I just have to get it out there. Yes, Larsens is a steak house and they pride themselves on their steak. However, they also have an extensive "FRESH FISH" menu. They told me the fish was locally caught and fresh. Not being a big steak-eater, I ordered the forty-five dollar tuna steak thinking that it had to be good. It's supposed to be basically raw and just seared lightly on the outside. I came here with a 7-person party for my mother-in-law's birthday and I'm the only person who didn't order steak. All 6 steaks were brought out and I sat and waited. 15 minutes later my tuna came out.... Unfortunately, it was FROZEN. Yes, frozen. I was completely repulsed - what kind of a restaurant charges $45 for a piece of raw tuna that they claim is "FRESH" and then serve it frozen. The manager came over and apologized, but it was too little too late. They did re-cook my tuna but by the time they brought it out (another 15 minutes later), everyone else was already done with their meal and I was pretty much "over" the whole idea of eating my raw fish. It really gets under my skin when supposedly high-end expensive restaurants try to sell you a product that is completely false. Fish is NOT that hard to cook - try to get it right next time Larsens. You really disappointed me.

Outstanding steak restaurant! This was our first time visit but not our last. The lobster mashed potatoes are to die for along with the lobster bisque. Shrimp cocktail a bit pricey but very good. Steaks could have been cooked better but that won't stop me from paying another visit to Larsen's!

Finally a real fancy restaurant in Santa Clarita. I have been there twice. The first time, it was ok. However, it had just opened. We went again to try and it was great. The food was amazing, the service was spectacular and the ambience was great. The meat was melt in your mouth good and the fish was delicately prepared. I would easily compare this to morton's or ruth's chris. The piano bar is also excellent and can be a great place to enjoy drinks before your meal.

OK. I'm the biggest skeptic when it comes to finding above average quality food and service here in the SCV. Another Steakhouse in Santa Clarita, really!!!! Will they get it!! They got it! I'm not going to write a long dissertation so here we go: Do not compare this place to anywhere but here. I frequent the Mastro's, Ruth Chris's, Morton's, Independent Steakhouses, etc,,, because I can (may not live long though). At Larsen's, I had the bone in filet "medium rare" (huge and wonderful) and the lobster bisque (one of my best with chunks of lobster protruding out of the soup). When I return, I'd get it all again and then some. Note, when I read Yelp reviews, I don't look for all the good reviews, I look for the consistent bad reviews to see if it's the same complaint. So, in my opinion, the common complaint at Larsen's is that their steaks don't come out sizzling hot nor on an extremely hot plate to keep the steaks warm while eating, hence cooler steaks. I agree with those complaints, However the meat is top notch and it was no doubt cooler than the other aforementioned steakhouses but If you're fine with a warm steak, you'll love it here. The flavor was outstanding till the last cool piece. Not to scare anyone off but it's roughly $100 a head....... Now you're prepared to make the choice of coming here....... It's worth it as opposed to driving over an hour to a chain steakhouse. I recommend Larsen's Steakhouse.....

My little brother turned 21. I can't believe it. I guess that's not so little anymore. For his special day we all went to dinner at Larsen's. There were six of us in total. CP and I were late and the staff was helpful in getting us seated. My biggest annoyance the whole evening was that the place was so stuffed with chairs, tables and people that there was barely any room to move. The room was like a maze when you wanted to go to the bathroom. Most pathways were blocked. If there was a fire we would have been in some serious trouble. Now, it was also Mothers' Day. So I sincerely hope they put an extra set of tables in to accommodate the influx of patrons. But either way it sucked and I wish they hadn't done that. The staff was good. I can tell they were swamped and were probably even better most other nights. There was definitely a handful of times where we would ask for something and the waiter would disappear. But, all in all, we were taken good care of and, most importantly, everyone was friendly. Each couple at the table shared a steak. CP and I had the bone-out ribeye. We also started with the house salad. My mom had the soup special, cream of mushroom. The appetizers around the table included asparagus, creamed corn and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was delightful. I especially enjoyed swooping up some of the creamed corn bits with my steak. Of course, my parents covered the tab that night so I have no idea what sort of damage was done to the wallet. But, needless to say I'm sure it was extensive. Santa Clarita comes up pretty short on the fancy night out scale. The addition of Larsen's means you can still class it up and stay in SCV. It's a nice place to have that special evening.

We went on opening night and the 10 oz filet and prime rib were utterly fantastic. Our waiter (Ryan in the bar) was extremely knowledgable and guided us towards a perfect night out. We also got the filet appetizer with wasabi mashed potatoes and lets just say that in future all non-wasabi mashed potatoes will be considered inferior!

I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. The noise level is horrible, you can't even hear your waiter or yourself. Everyone was using their cell phones to read the menu because it is so dark in there. We were serve bread and the rest of our time thru dinner we were fighting them from taking it away. Why? We ordered steak and had to ask for steak knifes. The broccoli au gratin was awful. I like raw broccoli when you are dipping it in a dip. It was raw and barely warm with a watery little bit of sauce at the bottom of the bowl. It took me a third of the steak before I could get past the fat, I ended up taking it home. When I got home and could actually see it, the fat was running all thru the meat. So much so that their was more fat than meat. Desert, a block of bread pudding so dense it could of sank the Titanic. I have traveled all over the world, eaten in some fabulous high end restaurants. This place it trying to be high end but is lacking in to many things to have that label. Oh, the mushroom were good. If you are looking for a nice quiet evening at an elegant restaurant with good food, this is not the place.

The good is beyond. Decadence at it's finest. If you're going to a nice dinner be sure to make a reservation. Or you can go to the bar like I do after work and relax. Such a beautiful restaurant.

Had bacon wrapped shrimp, mussels, oysters...the onion soup was ok I had high was expectations and it came no where the onion soup at mon ami gabi. LOVED the lobster mashed potatoes, the jalapeño macaroni. I had the grass fed Filet Mignon it was good but no where near mom ami gabi (I haven't tasted one better than that place) For dessert I had creme brûlée. This place is good for adults. The portions are good for sharing. Friendly staff.

I have been to virtually every "fancy" steak place out there. Mortons, Ruth's Chris, several in Vegas and I think I've been to every steakhouse here in SCV. Nothing... absolutely NOTHING compares to the service and quality at Larsens. Period. Specifics: A prime new york that is as tender as a filet anywhere else, prepared PERFECTLY. Great wine list with attentive and high quality sommelier who knows his stuff. Went for my wife's birthday on New Year's Eve - place was jammed. Nonetheless, the waiter, hearing that my wife actually wanted a pizuki for dessert, went next door and got her one and served it. If there were 10 stars here I'd give them 11. This is without question, the finest restaurant I've ever been to for this type of a meal.

Very expensive for everything! The complimentary bread is great as an appetizer! I had the filet mignon as it was the cheapest on the menu out of all the meats and seafood. The sides are big orders, so I recommend getting one or two sides and splitting it with other people. Our server was amazing! Fun and very attentive. I am giving 3 stars because I made a reservation, arrived on time and had to wait another 20 minutes. Also, the prices are high! Other than that, I would recommend it! Update: love this place. It is worth it for that occasional night on the town of SCV :)

The owners of Santa Clarita Valley's latest and most high-end restaurant, Larsen's Steakhouse, have been diligently waiting for my review. Right. The truth of the matter is I had been to the bar, like most curious folks, for Happy Hour. But I didn't really dig it. What's not to dig? Were the prices fair? Yes. Was the selection wide enough? Yes. Was the Happy Hour menu nice? Yes. Was the service great? NO. I had ordered a red wine by the glass. I sat still as my server poured from the bottle into my wine glass, watching the sediment slip off the inside of the bottle and...into my glass. I waited a second, and she said nothing, and if you can believe this, she darted off before I could. So I waited for her to return to ask for a fresh pour. She never did, not until my husband spotted her a good 15 minutes later, and at that point all I wanted was the check. I was left to wonder, for too long, if she knew the wine shouldn't have been served like that or just didn't care. Either way, she needed some training in bar service. I returned again, this time sticking to a can't-be-botched-unless-the-shaker-was-used-for-a-sweet-drink-and-not-washed-properly-afterwards vodka Martini. I had the Kobe beef sliders as well. Both were fine. The service was nothing to write about, and neither was the experience. Now, full disclosure: I'm a cheapskate and rarely seek out dining options where I have to order everything separately, like sides. I was raised by a single mom, and have never learned to spend money unless I feel that it is really worth it. So, when I was invited to dine at Larsen's it gave me an opportunity to try it - and judge its worth again. Meaning: Would I go back and pay for this? I'm happy to report that the answer was YES! I finally got the service and the food I expected. Our group of 10 was seated in a semi-private room with maybe two other smaller groups. Somewhat in this order: drink orders were taken, the hefty wine list was promptly handed to our host, and menus were placed in front of us. Within moments cocktails and wines were served, appetizers were presented, and our dinner order was taken. I've got issues with dairy and my waitress was very knowledgeable about what sauce I might like on my steak and which sides I may enjoy. This time the service reminded me of a grand meal I had with a bunch of Fire Chiefs in New Orleans at Emeril's, where we each had our own waiter that attended to our needs. We didn't have that exact personal service at Larsen's but we did have at least 10 servers when the entrées were served - all at once. Each of the plates, that could have just held a nice cut of steak, also had a large serving or roasted garlic - which was an extra thrill for me and the garlic-loving woman that sat next to me! The sides (a large selection was ordered) were all family-sized so next time I could easily have one for my small family of three, if we only wanted one. So the idea of ordering sides separately, at a great cost, was reduced as there was so much. (I even have a couple of containers in my fridge right now as leftover proof!) Eve Sampled/Ate Jumbo Gulf Shrimp Wrapped in Bacon Spinach, Shrimp and Artichoke Dip Petite Filet Mignon with a Berry and Wine Reduction Sauce Roasted Garlic Grilled Asparagus Creamed Spinach Creamed Corn Steak Cut Fries Key Lime Pie* New York Cheesecake and Fruit Apple Cobbler Chocolate Caramel Turtle Cake (*I couldn't find the desserts on any of the online menus, so these are from memory.)

Favorite steakhouse! Amazing steak. The shrimp cocktail is to die for. Desserts are to die for. Major foodgasm. One of my favorite places. Great for a celebration dinner. I love it.

Arrived around 5:30 pm for an early dinner. We had an elderly lady with a walker in out party. The Hostess was super nice and made an extra effort to make sure all members of our party were comfortable. After being seated, drink orders were taken. The Jermane's Strawberry martini was delicious! Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the reputation. We had the Thai Noodle salad -seriously? $19 for a salad that would have been way better at Panera. Disappointed. The other members had Prime rib which was flavorful but overcooked. Bread? Never got it. Asked for avocado on the side? Nope...dumped on top of salad. Loaded baked potato? Not very appealing...looked like cheese was microwaved to melt. Overall, it was lack of attention to detail. Way overpriced for quality and level of service. Stick to Ruth Chris, Flemings or Houstons. Won't be back :(

If I could do half a star I would, but for now well just take what we can get. We have been to larsens before in Simi Valley and it was an amazing experience along with great food so we figured that it would be the same here. We called ahead of time to get a reservation and the man on the phone, Michael said it would be busy until 830 and we were celebrating an anniversary but alas, we crave early bedtimes so we decided to leave early and see if they had room. I called ahead of time to let them know we were coming and he said that if he had room he would seat us. When we got to the restaurant it was literally empty. There were only two tables seated. They seated us right away and we waited for our waiter who neglected to show up until we asked for someone. We asked for drinks that wouldn't be too strong and he said he would personally make them for us, after waiting about 15 minutes he walked by and we asked him where our drinks were and he said he would finally make them. 25 minutes after ordering we got our drinks and ordered our food, all of us the same thing. Four t bone steaks and three sides, asparagus, fries and mushrooms. 45 minutes later, our food arrived and every single dish was extremely salty. It as absolutely terrible and when we complained to the waiter he offered to have it redone but we weren't about to sit there for another 45 minutes to wait. The manager, Michael- the one we had spoken to on the phone earlier and had lied to us about how busy the restaurant was never came once to apologize for our experience. Overall it was horrible and we will not be returning at all.

My boyfriend took me here for my birthday in july and we had an excellent experience. By far the best birthday dinner ive ever had. Our waiter, which I wish I could remember his name, was great he knew everything about the menu and was so prompt to our drink and food order. By the time I took my first bite of my steak the chef came out and asked if everything was to my liking which it was beyond so. Then at the end I received a card signed by the staff saying happy birthday and a bundt cake. Then the next day my boyfriend got a call from them asking if we had a great experience. Seriously amazing food, nice romantic ambiance, and great service!! Cant wait to go back.

We decided to dine here for my daughter's birthday, she was back from college. Logistically, SCV was the best choice for a steak house in the area, so we booked at Larsen's. Service was great, very friendly staff, but the food was lackluster and expensive. Steaks were ok, but not the melt in your mouth experience you would expect from a high end steak house. All in all, I would not repeat, for the same or less you can get a much better steak in any of the better Pasadena or Los Angeles establishments.

Poor. Service less than mediocre. Waiter did not check in with us and wait for food was very long. When we inquired about food, he blamed the wait on someone else. When food came, both our steaks were NOT cooked up order, arrived rare when ordered med and well done. We didn't want to send back since original wait so long. Plus, taste and quality was poor especially with the high price. We left knowing that we would not be back. Very disappointing. (March, 2014)

Hmm.. Just OK. Wines menu is awesome. Food...meh. We ordered mushrooms as a side order and they had too much vinegar and didn't taste as mushrooms at all. We also got lobster mashed potatoes and the lobster wasn't even fresh. Shame.... Such a dissappontement. The decor is cool and the drinks at the bar are good. I would recomend this place only for a get together with friends at the bar. Food is not their best card.

I love this place. The grass fed fillet is amazing & the lobster mashed potatoes are out of this world. My husband had the ribeye & said it was great. We split the blue cheese wedge salad & it was very good. We topped off our meal with a slice of chocolate peanut butter cake & even though it was fabulous we couldn't finish it. The service was perfect. This is my favorite place to eat in Santa Clarita.

Love this restaurant with one exception. There are TOO MANY tables in the dining room. All night, servers were squeezing between my chair and the booth behind me. I actually took a hard blow to the head with a plate! I understand wanting to maximize potential sales, but not by compromising customer comfort. Our server could only access part of our party of 7, and then had to walk around ANOTHER party's table to reach the rest of our group. For $750 I would expect better. (Copy of the review I posted on Open Table)

The food is overall pretty good. Oysters are fresh and good, lobster bisque is decadent and delicious, and the steak is pretty much just a good overpriced steak. The portion sizes are ridiculously out of control. If you order a soup or salad just order one and tell them you'll be sharing. They will at least then plate it for two with no additional charge, and you'll end up with a human sized portion. The sides, on the other hand, are too large to even be split by two people. Basically if they could cut every portion in half, and then cut the price down to even 2/3, it would be a better experience and make more sense while they'd still profit. The service is overly casual, to the point where I really don't think the servers are properly trained. I don't blame the servers, all we encountered were perfectly friendly and pleasant. They just didn't know how to run table service. For instance the only time they swept away crumbs was when the bill came, not in-between courses or even just after the bread course. They also didn't really seem knowledgeable about the product, if I'm supposed to order a $130 wagyu steak, you need to be telling me exactly where that beef was raised, not simply "Japan." I ended up with the bone-in rib eye, which was large enough to feed me for three days. I am not a small person, nor do I have a small appetite. My wife had the sea bass, which was a good 2.5-3 inches thick. Ludicrously thick, really. It was cooked well, but you had a nice, flavorful, crispy exterior and then miles of bland flesh inside. Very imbalanced. The mains were just not as good as the appetizers or sides. They also lacked phone etiquette both before and after dining. As you would expect, on the day of the reservation they called in the late morning, presumable to confirm the reservation. However I was in am meeting and unable to answer, and they left no message. I had to google the phone number to find out who had even called. Then, I think it was two days after the meal, they called again and I did answer. They wanted to know how was our experience. I answered that "it was okay" and they said thanks and hung up. If you're actually concerned about the customer experience, wouldn't you ask for some details about why it was only okay and not better? Prices do not reflect the location or service. If you're in a shopping mall in Valencia, you shouldn't be charging Beverly Hills prices, no matter how well you black out the windows to try and make us forget where we are.

Amazing went on a dinner date and our waiter Andrew served us he was so polite. I ordered the Ribeye with a side or mash and jalepeño Mac and cheese sooooooo delishhhh and my date ordered the king crab legs which he couldn't praise enough for how fresh and yummy it was. Love the place and the staff and food was amazing would highly recommend this place.

Went their for my partners 40th Birthday. Service was pretty too notch. Salads were bigger than expected and the Filet was absolutely fantastic. Very tender and cooked perfect at medium plus. They even brought a birthday card signed by the staff. It's a great thing to have a nice steak house with quality food in SCV. Good job!

We just moved up here a few years ago and never tried Larsen's. We have been to other steak houses like The Arroyo Chop House, Morton's, Flemings, Ruth Chris, etc... We have seen Larson's and read its reviews. So My wife and I decided to try Larsen's for Valentine's Day. I ordered the special steak béarnaise with lobster. When I received my order the lobster was burnt and rubbery. I let my waiter know and they brought another lobster tail that was not much better. I then tried the steak béarnaise. Man I was disappointed. The sauce had little flavor and the steak was dry even though I ordered it medium rare. I travel to Paris for business and know what steak béarnaise should taste and look like. This place came up real short in my opinion especially for the price they charged. I was completely dissatisfied. After paying the bill I let the manager know as we were leaving and he didn't seem real concerned. $300 between two people you tend to expect quality. Not here!

The steak was excellent, lobster tail was perfectly cooked, the baked potato was huge and the customer service was great. I love the decor and the atmosphere. It has that old Hollywood feel. Obviously the cost is more than a sizzler. But it's a great place to go for that special occasion. Well worth it.

Went to Larsen's with my SO to complete our Sweetest Day celebration (a holiday that Southern Californians do not celebrate . . . not even at Hallmark). This is the Santa Clarita Valley's first "real" steakhouse and it is clear a few did not know what to expect. I appreciated the steakhouse garb on the waitstaff. Uniforms, even ill-fitting jackets, add to the professionalism of the staff. I also appreciated the need for reservations on a Saturday night. To get people to pay $50 for a slab of meat, a steakhouse needs great service and a somewhat exclusive feeling. Our bill was $150 without drinks, wine or appetizers. We had eaten at Canele for brunch, so no appetizers were needed. My wife-to-be ordered the grass-fed Filet and I the "regular" rib eye. I decided to make this a true steakhouse experience, so I ordered a wedge salad and our sides were creamed corn and grilled asparagus. To my fellow yelper who complained about the char and seasoning, you can't cook a thick steak to medium rare (at the temperatures of these grills) without a healthy char. And, with no salt on the tables, the kitchen wants you to know that the steaks come seasoned. If you want your steak under-seasoned, just ask. The steaks were prime cuts, cooked to almost perfection and excellent. The creamed corn had lots of cream and both sides were very tasty. Portions were big. The creme brulee was outstanding. Service was fantastic. Ian was attentive, helpful and had a great personality. His service alone guaranties that we will be back. He checked back often, made sure we had ample water and ice tea and was never obtrusive. My only complaint was that the room we were seated in (the small dining room at the front of the house) became very noisy when it was full. My concern is that the residents of the Valley will not support a high end steakhouse (I still lament the closing of Bristol Farms). Overall it was very good and a wonderful Saturday night out -- not the best steakhouse ever -- but geographically close and good.

After a movie, we walked in on a whim, not knowing anything about the restaurant. My husband wanted to watch the Oregon/Ohio State game so we sat in the bar. The ambiance is old school New York, complete with dim lighting, white table cloths, candle lamps on the tables and jazz on the sound system. There was a piano at the entrance to the bar which made me wonder if they might have live music on weekends. The service was professional and attentive without being obtrusive. The food was simply excellent. My husband had the dry-aged filet, I had the seared Chilean Sea bass. The fish was superb: fresh and perfectly prepared. His filet was exactly as ordered, tender and flavorful. The sides are a la carte but large enough to be shared by two or three. We started with the Flemming's House salad: mixed greens, tomatoes, onions, candied pecans, blue cheese crumbles, raspberry vinaigrette. It featured wonderfully fresh lettuce, and was lightly dressed--excellent. We also had the creamy garlic mashed potatoes which I thought tasted fine, but he thought had too much garlic. Next time, maybe we'll go for the fries or the hash browns. My husband doesn't drink and I can't finish a bottle of wine on my own. However, they have a nice selection of beer on tap so I had a Stella. If they offer wine by the glass, I didn't notice. This place is a splurge for us retired folks, but I would gladly forego eating out for a month to eat that sea bass again. Highly recommended.

Dining alone in a fancy restaurant is always an interesting experience. But Larsen's rose to the occasion and sat me at a nice two-top that wasn't stuck in the corner by the kitchen. Service was attentive and the food was great. My steak was cooked exactly the way I ordered it. I'll return in my next business trip to the area.

Went there Friday night for dinner. Usually a great experience. After we were Seated no one came to serve us, finally after 30 minutes I flagged a waiter Who said it was not his table but would help us. The rest of the evening Went ok, I expect superior service but received average at best.

We had a terrible experience at this location due to one manager. The staff is good, the food is good, but the manager George should be fired. Terrible customer service and very rude & unprofessional. DO NOT dine at this location if George is working. Call ahead to be sure. Yeah, it's that bad.

WOOHOO, we have a swanky steakhouse in AWESOMETOWN - now we're even more AWESOME. Why everyone should try this place: 1. The menus light up when you open them 2. It's the real deal - a true steakhouse, you can feel the vibe 3. The service reflects that this is a true steakhouse, spot on, no pretense 4. They have a great happy hour in the bar (Sunday - Friday) 5. I agree with Cheryl C - I don't want to have to drive to the valley for a Fleming's, Ruth's Chris, Morton's..... I love happy hours at steakhouses - some of the best deals in town are to be had and this is no exception. The piano player was a lovely touch, the vibe was classy, old school and warm. I am married to a Vegetarian and he loved the food at this steakhouse! The Wedge with blue cheese / Pecans - hold the bacon was a meal in itself. They also have a great Mac and Cheese and Tuna Tartar which were both fantastic! I noticed they have Chilean Sea Bass on the menu - that's RARE and it's on my list to try. I suggest sharing the appetizers or having them as a meal at the bar. This place makes me want to start drinking martinis. Gotta run, it's almost Happy Hour!

Fantastic ambiance, service & food!! We ordered too much food as it was our first time. My wife ordered the coffee ground steak with lobster & I ordered the bone-in fillet. Excellent!! We shared the grilled portabello mushrooms (must-order with every visit), garlic potatoes (meh, generic), grilled asparagus (thumbs up), the eat-with-a-fork lobster bisque (not to be missed) and the grilled artichoke (not as good as the Hitching Post II in Buellton, but nothing is). We brought two bottles of wine for a corkage fee of $20, definitely the way to go unless you like spending $45 and up on wine you probably have never heard of or tasted. I'm no wine snob I just like-what-I-like. Will definitely go back, if not just for the baked croissant/bread-roll "hybrid" they serve. Let's just say it is flaky-buttery-goodness!! 5-stars easy!!! $260 out the door for 2 with way too much food.

The food here is AWESOME!!! My boyfriend says Larsens is his favorite place. Nice atmosphere and very good service. I like that they have a grass fed filet but do wish they served meat that is antibiotic/ hormone free across the board. It seems for the prices they charge they could be more conscious of not poisoning the patrons with hormones. It would also be nice if they had a gluten free menu. That said, everything here tastes amazing, you really can't go wrong!

If it hadn't been for the chopped salad, I would give this place one star at best. Went last night, party of four, sat in the bar. Lucky night for us our guests treated us to two amazing bottles... a bottle of Opus and a bottle of Phelps Insignia... what a great surprise! Problem was, the poor server had no idea what she was opening. She twisted that cork screw as if she was opening a bottle of Castle Rock! Go figure, she wound up breaking the cork and our wine host had to fix the problem and finish opening the bottles himself. Question... where was the sommelier? How dare Larsen's have an uneducated server open that kind of wine without being properly trained! I really felt bad for her, she was very sweet and tried her best. Ok.. the food... Husband and I ordered all to share. 1 Chopped salad, 1 20 oz New York sliced, cooked MEDIUM RARE. Medium rare people... the most popular way to cook a steak. Then some simple sides to share at the table, creamed spinach and sauted mushrooms. Salad, meh... was ok. Their house dressing is pretty good I have to admit. Wish I had just ordered that as my meal! Steaks came out RARE.... almost RAW! Men sucked it up and ate it but us ladies couldn't. We just couldn't. So we requested to have it go back for steak cooked the right way. What did they do, they scraped my cream spinach off my plate and put the steak, already sliced, in the oven to bring back up! How do I know? My plate came back with crusty green creamed spinach smeared on it! HOW EFFING TACKY! I wasn't going to ruin the night by complaining so I sucked it up and I ate it. My steak was dry, and simply ruined. $60 literally down the toilet! Look, places like Larsen's, when it comes to steak, have no excuse to do anything but nail it PERFECTLY the first time. That cook (not chef obviously) knew that steak was not cooked right yet he allowed it to be served anyway. The food runner (not our server) should have known the minute he saw the plates that the steaks were not cooked right. He even said when he presented the plates "medium rare" to each of us, and you could tell just by looking at them, they were under cooked! We like the happy hour at Larsen's so we will probably go back for a glass of wine or nice conversation with some friends, but we will NEVER go back for dinner. EVER. Welp, another one bites the dust. Everyone knows that in Santa Clarita, if you want really good food, like in FINE dining, you leave town or you make it yourself. What a bummer.

OK, my bad... said I would never go again but as much as I still feel the same as I did about the food, I have to say the service last night was pretty darn good. Had to go because we were "invited". Otherwise we wouldn't have gone. My chopped salad had brown avocado in it. There is absolutely NO excuse for that! Nothing more unappealing than BROWN avocado! My steak was cooked medium rare, but only because I asked for it medium. They tend to under cook their steaks. Thankful for our hosts because if we had to pay, I'd be really pissed.

Unfortunately I never actually got to try the food... It was my birthday and the wife and I decided to try Larsens. We had a babysitter and limited time to enjoy the evening. The plan was to arrive at 6pm and catch a 7:30 movie across the street. We needed to leave at around 7:20 to make the movie and figured an hour twenty was enough time to enjoy a steak. Boy were we wrong... We sat down and managed to place our order at around 6:15. I thought to myself great, will take at most 30 minutes to get our food, we can grab the check early and enjoy for 30 minutes. Cut to 50 minutes later we still had not received our food. I asked the waiter what the hold up was and he said he would expedite it (the waiter was a nice guy and understanding of the situation, totally not his fault). We waited a few minutes and at 7:10 we said enough is enough, we're not going to pay for an expensive meal only to inhale it over the 10 minutes we had left. As we were getting up 7:12ish the food finally came. We explained we had to be somewhere and frankly we didn't expect the food to take almost and hour to get to the table. We spoke with the manager as well who seemed to be understanding of the situation and took down my address to supposedly send me a gift card to give them another try. It's been over a week and I haven't received anything. I'll keep you guys posted. Larsens was a nice place and the bread i did manage to have was amazing. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to try the steak and this may not be typical service at Larsens but just in case you may want to leave yourself quite a bit of time for the food to arrive. I've been to many great steak houses (Lugers, Flemings, Del Friscos, Mortons etc....). I have never had to wait an hour to receive my order. I always received my meal within 30 minutes or less. Needless to say I was pretty dissapointed. Thanks for listening... Daniel ______________________ UPDATE: Ok, so i received a nice letter from the manager and a gift card. I'll be making my way back to Larsens for another try. I'll post my experience here once I go. Thanks, Daniel

I was looking for an upscale restaurant to take my wife for our anniversary when I booked a reservation at Larsen's. I asked them to use their own creative inspiration to make our dinner memorable and also asked them to play our favorite song (they have a pianist). The service was royal. The food was top of the line (we had the salmon). And the ambience was perfect. When we ordered our creme brûlée, it came with the words "Happy Anniversary" written on the dessert plate! Also, the entire staff signed and gave us a card. You can even have flowers delivered right to the restaurant! They went out of their way to make our night truly memorable. If you live in the Valencia area, you MUST eat here at least once. To the staff at Larsen's: Thank You!

Went there for valentines, Larsens in Simi Valley. We had prior reservations and got a table within 5 minutes. Portions are big but the prices are $$$. Case to point, their filet mignon with bacon at $68 or 86 dollars. We roughly spent almost $200 dollars there, including tips. It didn't include dessert. Mind you and no appetizers. This is the most expensive steakhouse we ate. It is worth the hype. This place will work for you if you want to spend serious cash in what you eat and you like large portions or to splurge once in a while. To impress the hot date, it can work too. Frankly. We prefer Lucille's, we get double the portions the price is more reasonable and you can bring the family and it wouldn't break the bank if you go to Larsens for the same number of people. Famous Dave's is another one to try out in Simi Valley. Will we come back to Larsens? No, because we are for more affordable pricing, ambiance is great and portions are the same or even better. At $200 dollars in your credit card bill for one dinner, that is one price that is hard to swallow.

My wife and I have eaten here about 4 times since the restaurant opened, so this is an overall experience review that encompasses all the visits. First, and foremost, it is the best steakhouse this side of LA in my opinion, including the valley favs, Ruth Chris, Flemings, and Morton's. A special night out for us meant a drive to Woodland Hills to Flemings and this has been replaced by Larsen's. The service was weak when it first opened, but has improved greatly every visit since. However, I do feel like there is still some improvement in that area to be had. Especially in regards to when you are first seated. It seems forever until you get your first cocktail/bread/appetizer. It is a minor complaint. That being said, the decor is very nice and you feel like you are not dining in the SCV. Which is important, especially if you have lived in the confines of the uber-family friendly restaurants of the SCV. Food is excellent and the steak quality is very, very good. The bone in fillet is extraordinary. Crab Cakes are a great starter and they have some excellent salads. The side dishes are nondescript and we have as of yet to find a side dish that stands out (a la Flemings potatoes or hash browns at The Palms). The have a fantastic wine list and they have some great drink offerings from the bar. If you need a place for a date, anniversary, special occasion you can not miss with this place. I would stay away from groups, as each time I have been there I have seen people get up and leave when they see the menu prices (the menus are awesome, the light up from behind). I do feel like the prices are too high. I am sure that is what they are going for, especially from the wine lockers you see when you come in. They are like a monument to the narcissistic faux-wealthy usual suspects in the SCV. However, I hope to see some sort of price adjustment to make the restaurant more accessible to an weekend date night.

Been here twice since they opened. Last time was christmas day 2013. Yes the place is classy inside and pricey for sure. But that's pretty expected. This isn't a restaurant i can afford to frequent because it is pricey, and they are only open for dinner. But both times i went the steaks were mouth-watering and tasty. You know it's high end steak you're chewing in your mouth! Service is good too (it should be!!). My son and i are big steak lovers so we can appreciate a nice hunk of beef. Larsens and Lawry's are THE steakhouses to go for me.

This review is strictly based on the service I experienced . I have now reached out the the manager a total of FIVE times and have not received one phone call back. We went there for happy hour drinks followed by dinner. I ordered one of their speciality drinks that the wrong drink, the waitress said she made a mistake, she sent it back and brought me back the same exact drink and proceeded to think it was my imagination and TRIED the DRINK yes she tried it... Finally the third time she brought me the drink and it was correct. Imagine our confusion when after this the servers and bus boys were walking around the bar area eating birthday cake! I couldn't even get someone to bring me more water . Now I understand celebrating a coworkers birthday i am all for birthdays BUT the complete disrespect to the other guests is down right rude. Best $300 I've ever spent. Thanks for the call back its been appreciated.

Last Wednesday we had a bad experience when we found a 'live' crab in our oyster platter. As described earlier. Tonight I spoke with the manager, Erik, reported the incident. He was most apologetic. He corrected the issue. Our complaint at the restaurant to the waiter never went up the chain of command. We should have insisted then on speaking with the manager however we felt that it was our waiter's job. All is now resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Although it was a bad event it has not been taken care of in a most professional way. And I will again be able to enjoy their most delicious steaks.

Expensive But Excellent Food, Wine and Service My wife and I splurged here recently as an early Valentine's Day treat. Larsen's, like Morton's, is largely an a la carte menu. Unless you are a huge eater, you typically can split a larger entree. After enjoying the fresh bread and a cocktail, we split a 10oz filet, perfectly cooked with a nice little crust, with by-the-glass wines expertly suggested by our server Inda. Nice, calm atmosphere; although there was live music, it was well chosen and not too loud. The only downside? It's not cheap. It's very expensive. Even though we split a steak and two sides, and only had two drinks each (one cocktail and one glass of wine), our tab came to $193 after tax and an 18% tip. Dress nicely, by the way, or you'll feel awkward.

Good steak but not outstanding. Porterhouse will cost you 68 dollars. About the same for a bone in rib eye. You can get a better steak at any of the big chains (Flemings, Ruth's etc) for cheaper but in the Santa Clarita valley it's the best you will find by far.

Good, some high points and some low points. The place is sure to be a destination for the wealthy and faux wealthy in our valley if only for the reason of the high price tag. The interior is excellent and elegant. The bar is loud, very loud. They offer two dining rooms and thankfully I made a request to eat in their more private dining area. I felt like I was dining at a classy place in LA or Beverly Hills. Wine list is excellent and extensive. They had some great by the glass selections and their stemware is gorgeous. I requested a sommelier and was told they have 3 on staff. We had filets, asparagus, lobster mashed potatoes and added a lobster tail. The filets were prime and were good but not great. Not as good as I would have expected. They were cooked as requested to medium rare but came just a touch too done for what I would expect from a steakhouse. Wife added mushrooms to her steak and they were too salty. Lobster mashed potatoes were not that special. They were good but did nothing to really excite me. The asparagus was excellent and the lobster tail absolutely superb. Finished off the meal with a creme brulee, pretty standard but good. Service was good and attentive but I would expect just a little more for such a place. Not much, but just a little bit more. My wife and I agreed on one thing, I personally can make a better steak myself at home that will blow your mind. With this in mind, it's hard to justify spending this much on a meal. Total for a meal for two was just under $300 pre-tip, we had plenty to take home. Price also included 4 glasses of higher end wine. They do not validate valet parking. Cost is $5. Shared my thoughts with the manager that they really should be validating. It's not the $5, it's just the point.

I literally got a yelp account to write this review. I went here for my husbands birthday and my steak was cold and the fires were awful, even the sight of them were not appealing. We sent everything back and it was returned to us the same way. I asked the server why my steak was cold in the middle and she said thats the way the steaks are cooked when you ask for medium, which is ridiculous, i have never even had a rare steak be cold in the middle. It was clear we were not happy with the service yet nothing was done to accommodate for their lack of hospitality. I have gone to the one on ventura blvd and it was fine so i know what to expect from larrsens. The one in valencia I will never be back to.

The side portions are huge! The sea bass and grass fed steak were just ok- not wow amazing- I had an issue with the sautéed brocollini- it came with watery sauce, not what you would expect from a sautéed veggie. The Mac and cheese with sun dried tomatoes had a lot of sauce, but not a lot of real taste- couldn't really taste the bacon. There are a lot of choices when you think about all the other places that you could go when your check is over $250 for a party of 2. Appetizers, wine, scotch, seafood, steak and dessert.... It was okay, not that awesome of a place for us to want to go back... Specially for being that expensive, we can go somewhere else with better food, but I guess if this is the only option of a nicer steak house in Valencia- it is okay but pricey. Service was good...

Hubby and I have been meaning to try Larsen's for awhile, but not having occasion to drop the kiddies off for a simple dinner very often, have had to wait. But date night finally arrived, and we made our reservation via Yelp. From the moment we entered, we were treated to great service, good drinks, and great food. Our waiter was extremely attentive (without being in-your-face) and gave great suggestions. For drinks, I had a Moscow Mule and a Vodka Gimlet, up. For dinner, we started by sharing a tasty Arugula Salad, along with some of the most amazing bread I've had in awhile. Honestly, the bread was perfectly crusty on the outside and feather-soft on the inside, almost like a croissant. Having just had the best slab of steak one could experience at my favorite Hollywood steak spot a week prior, I opted for the stuffed chicken breast. It was delicious and perfectly flavored, with broccoli, cheese, and other yumminess. Hubby liked his petit filet. We shared the garlic mashed potatoes and mac & cheese with jalapeno and bacon for our sides: I preffered the garlic mashed, but hubby dug the mac. All-in-all, this was an excellent restaurant with amazing service from hostess to waiter to bus staff. Recommended for a special occasion meal.

Are you serious? I could deal with the overpricing if the quality was great, but it's not even close. $65 for a ribeye with lots of fat? And all other items a la carte for that price? $18 for a soggy arugula salad that's clearly nothing special, just a bunch of arugula heaped on a plate with a dollop of goat cheese? Horribly overpriced wines; fresh bread that's clearly the frozen Bridgeport dough you get at the grocery store; and service that's not typical of a high-end restaurant. They brought the coffee 15 minutes before dessert came out. Just a litany of issues but mainly DO NOT GO HERE. You can spend less than half as much and get better quality and service.

Excellent food. Got the Filet Mignon, mashed potatoes with chunks of lobster, and creamed spinach. Great appetizers, too. We got the crab cakes and bacon wrapped shrimp. Jeff was our server and did an excellent job. Be sure to also try Larsen's Grill in Simi Valley. Excellent, too!

We tried this place for my husband's birthday and were not disappointed! The atmosphere was very nice (dim lighting, nice space) and the staff was welcoming. Our server was Colin and he was terrific! We had the grass-fed filet and they prepared each of ours perfectly...just the way each of us likes it. I loved the baked garlic cloves and spread a clove on each bite of my steak...delicious! We had wine (a suggestion by Colin turned out to be a perfect pairing with our meal), the Flemmings Salad, which was great, and the baked potato. For dessert we had the chocolate peanut butter cake with ice cream (huge serving and delicious). The service was excellent and Colin was wonderful...warm and friendly, and very helpful and kind. My only suggestion was that the music was only clearly audible in the restroom...in the dining room all you could hear was the bass line and some muffled static...I would have liked to hear Sinatra in the background while eating in the dining room and not just while in the restroom! A lovely evening and we will go back again!

Wow! It just doesn't get much better than this. There were 15 of us dining, so we had a bunch of appetizers including the tuna tartare, and bacon wrapped shrimp, both of which were fantastic. The steaks are oh so tender and melt in your mouth. I had the bone in Filet, which I never even knew existed. It was served with a Bernaise sauce, which it didn't even need. We had many sides to accompany the meal. The creamed spinach rocked! It is by far the best I have ever eaten. Everything was good from the asparagus, broccoli, creamed corn, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese to the potatoes au gratin. I would head there again in a heartbeat next time I have a hankering for steak. It's well worth the drive from Pasadena.

This is flawless steakhouse that you'd be confident bringing in your most important clients. Our international client was overwhelmingly impressed and we had good time. Price is also very modest for what you'd get. Impressive service. Table could be tad bigger for number of chairs, we had starter fish tower (it's just a big bucket full of ice and seafood sitting on top, "tower" is wrong word", it took almost all space and we had to push off romantic candle, which we had no usage amongst bunch of middle age dudes. I'd come back here again.

I was completely thrown off by this place, it used to be some Latin restaurant with horrible decor. They remodeled the hell out of this place, nicely lit and yet still comfortably dark. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered a Manhattan with Makers 46 which was perfect. Bread was very warm and delightful with our drinks. Pricey, but worth it! I ordered the black cod with garlic spinach which was amazing. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with a good sized portion not to leave you hungering for more food. I'm glad Valencia has this steakhouse for well prepared drinks and dining.

I went here this past weekend and was not disappointed. Yes, this is an expensive restaurant but that is the norm for prime grade steak houses. In my experience Larsen's is better than Fleming's and Ruth's Chris. The quality of the steaks were the same as these to me but what really set this place apart was the service. Top notch all the way around! Our meal was so well spaced and timed and our server was friendly. There is a wonderful wine steward who checked on us multiple times to be sure we were enjoying ourselves and we found him charming and he really seemed to enjoy his work. We will be returning and recommending this spot to other weary Santa Clarita diners!

We recently were at he bar for some drinks and appetizers. My lemon-drop martini was excellent and the bartended lady did a great job. For an appetizer, we got the shrimp cocktail. Though it looked massive and very tempting, the shrimp lacked flavor. We will have to try another appetizer next time. I still think it is way too dark in there. How about putting some nice decorative ceiling track lighting above the bar table?

I would have given it no stars but it won't let me. My wife and I went for our Anniversary , thinking that Santa Clarita finally got an upscale steak house. We were wrong. We started with drinks at the bar. The tonic was flat and too quite a while to remedy that. They were so strong they were undrinkable.. We ended up ordering just glasses of Tonic to help cut them some. Our waiter was nice but way too busy. For the prices this place charges I would expect less tables and more personal attention. The entire staff was hectic, took a while to gets refills on drinks .. not horrible but at best average. Once again because of the price of the meal I did not want average. Finally the meal. The mashed-potatoes were gummy, the asparagus was fantastic... a high point of the meal. and then the steaks. I had the prime rib. Seriously I have had better cuts at Outback. It was chewy , Luke-warm and while I like a nice amount of marbling it was just fat. My wife order a filet well done. They had cooked it until it was more of a hockey puck then a prime cut of meat. The seasoning they used for the rub was a mixture of salt and salt. From the beginning I was expecting to pay, with drinks and tip, over two hundred dollars. I was also expecting a dining experience to rival almost anything I have had in the past. It was, as I have said average at best. The Food, the service, the noise nothing what I expected or hoped for. Sorry to hark on the price but I didn't pay for average.

Disappointing. If you want an incredible steak dinner, walk down the street to Maru. They have amazing menu with the best seafood and steaks in all of this valley. Their Filet and New York are some of the best plates you'll have - it is in the same league as the best steakhouses in all of LA (Cut, Mastro's, Jar). You'll thank me for this tip.

Great food, great wine & ambiance. The crowd tends to be a little more mature, but the happy hour selection & prices are worth it. One of the classier restaurant bars in SCV.

This place is very classy, especially considering the surrounding area. The glowing menus, custom blazers, and ambiance add to the "sheek premium style" feel. The complimentary bread is very delicious! It's freshly baked and comes right from the oven. I didn't even need freshly chilled premium butter!!! The salads were also good and fresh. We did not indulge in any appetizers as we were anticipating the large, juicy, freshly grilled USDA prime steaks. I ordered the grass fed Filet Mignon. The beef was pretty good, served with a crusty, texture-rich "spicy style" top that took my taste buds on a flavor adventure reminding me of how scrumptious meat can be. While some fellow Yelpers mentioned the Creamed Corn side, we instead went with the "shoestring style" French fries, steamed broccoli, and the garlic mashed potatoes. While some of our selections were "boring" items to order at such a classy, fine dinning establishment like Larsen's, I had high expectations for the price. Unfortunately, none of these items stood out. They were all average tasting. It may be worth indulging in some of the other "seasoned style" fries. For dessert, we indulged in the apple pie and some mixed berries. The pie slice was extremely rich and heavy, but was delicious. The berries were also great. I especially appreciated the fresh, sweet, and juicy raspberries. These wonderful balls of flavor always elevate and add pizazz to my meals. I finished with a "gourmet style" mint herbal tea. The sharp mint elements helped calm my growling stomach after the heavy and rich meal. Wow, thinking about that steaming hot water and gourmet tea make me want to brew some up right now! Definitely worth the downsides if you live in Santa Clarita or the Palmdale/Lancaster area. As far as I know, this is the closest classy dinning establishment around. Those visiting from out of town will also enjoy this establishment. Happy dinning!

My husband and I are big fans of Mastro's and Flemings (having just moved to Valencia from Orange County). We were excited to try a proper steakhouse in Valencia. We sat in the bar area at one of the high tops. Our server was great and very knowledgeable. Our Rioja was superb and reasonably priced. The sommelier was also attentive and wonderful as well. We shared the following: beef carpaccio, chopped salad, bone-in ribeye, and jalapeño bacon mac & cheese. 1.) Carpaccio was too warm and under seasoned. I found myself craving some sort of sauce: Dijon, olive oil, etc. 2.) Chopped salad was delicious. Great dressing. 3.) Ribeye was a perfect medium rare, and the peppercorn sauce that accompanied it was delicious. 4.) The Mac and cheese was not good at all. Greasy, and SO dense. The only thing I could compare that sauce to is Velveeta. When you splurge on Mac & Cheese, it's got to be good. Needless to say, we ate very little of it. All in all, this place is extremely overpriced in comparison to top notch steakhouses, but, they are the only ones in the immediate area, and the service was great, so we'll probably be back for a special occasion.

This is a heart breaking review to have to write. I must say that I was quite excited about the idea of a "real" high end steakhouse in my own backyard. Imagine the thought of not having to drive all the way to Mastros (or even Ruth's Chris for that matter) to get a decent steak. Apparently, I'm still going to have to commute... Reservation for 8:30 - Seated at 10 after 9. Drinks @ the bar - $22 for lightly poured Crown & Cokes to enjoy whilst standing waiting to be seated. Fancy illuminated wine list - Had a fair wine list and apparently a 'private' list as well so if you don't see your favorite, ask, they may have it. We got a reasonably priced bottle of Opus One which was priced in line with its age. (Premature) Bacon wrapped shrimp - Started to make me happy. Nice tasty jumbo shrimp with lobster sauce. Room temp, but tasty. Lobster bisque - Less like a bisque, more of a lobster chowder. Again, not hot. Salty, but decent flavor. Had to use Tabasco. Side of packaged saltines...seriously? Grass fed filet - Asked for medium which I was assured would have a slightly red center. Came out with the edges so well done I didn't eat them and the very center light pink at best. Over cooked and over seasoned. Kosher salt like a Margarita. Tasted like an Outback special sirloin on its best bite. Waitress was sweet, offered to make me another. I tried to power through it as to not be "that guy" but couldn't finish. Cream corn - 2 more minutes and it would've been Orville. Over cooked, too little cream, very dry. "Creamy" garlic mashed potatoes - Bad description. More home style. Lots of skins, lots of cloves, far from creamy. Staff - Good waitress, terrible hosts/ hostesses, fair bartender. A group of waiters and bus boys were walking through the middle of the restaurant discussing the tips they received from other table number with one another. That wasn't too smooth. Captain offered to remove my steak from the bill. I refused since I ate some and the money wasn't the point. He brought us a nice 85 port wine for the inconvenience which was the evenings highlight. (Unfortunately) End result, BUMMED. Location shouldn't matter when it comes to good food but unfortunately, it seems to. Here in the land of the chain restaurants, you're hard pressed to get a meal worth writing home about. I thought this could be a game changer. Fact is, a valet, bow tie clad staff, low lighting, and crumb brooms don't make the food taste better. Great attempt at recreating the ambiance and experience, but an epic fail on the most important factor, the food! Bottom line, you want the real deal, you STILL have to travel. Want an edible steak in town? Go to Outback and save a few hundred dollars. I expected more, but now I'm "that guy" writing a negative review.

Took my family for dinner, we arrived at 5:45. The bar was busy for the happy hour but the dining room wide open. Started with the bacon wrapped shrimp which were good, but dry. Next had the caprese salad, outstanding balsamic reduction. The main course was Rib-eyes and New York's. The steaks were good but could have been warmer, the sides were mashed garlic potatoes and au-gratin broccoli, they also could have been hotter. Nothing special about the wait staff service was just OK. The noise level increased as the restaurant filled. For a fine dining establishment this to me is not acceptable. We have eaten all over the U.S. in the best steakhouses, sorry but Larsens only rates 3 stars. Will we come back, I think not. I will go to Burbank or Woodland Hills for local steakhouses.

We moved from San Francisco and found Larsen's in Valencia among a sea of chain restaurants. We loved the service and the ambiance. It was Valentines day, 2013, and the tables had little red heart glitter sprinkled on them. We loved everything about it, and the chocolate peanut butter desert was something that I craved long after I had been there. It has become our favorite restaurant, and although we have a favorite waiter, we have never been disappointed with any of the servers. Last weekend, the new chef came out to meet us and brought us a complimentary appetizer. We were delighted. It's a special place and there is nothing better, even in San Francisco.

Went here for a nice dinner with my friend. It was clean, with a modern ambience, low-lighting and smooth music. I found the plates to be a bit sparse- my steak came with very little else in terms of side dishes or embellishments. Still, the wine was excellent and the waiter quite friendly. My friend's a vegetarian and the chef made an impressive pasta for her that was delicious. The price was a little steep for me to eat here often but I'll be back for the occasional special outing.

Finally, Santa Clarita lands a quality steakhouse. My wife, son and I went for my son's 21st birthday. First, i noted this when making the on-line reservation. When we were seated, our server brought my son a birthday card signed by the staff and thanking him for visiting, nice touch. Menu is typical steakhouse, a la cart appetizers, entrees, sides, etc. My wife had the Larsen's chopped salad with house dressing, very good. I had the lobster bisque, excellent. Had 4-5 oz of fresh lobster. Salad was $10, bisque 12.99, both reasonably priced. Son and I had the 16oz ribeye, wife had the salmon w lobster sauce. Ordered 2 sides, grilled asparagus and potatoes au gratin. First, the steaks were cooked perfectly as ordered, med rare. From the first bite you could tell this was quality aged beef. Nice char on the outiside with a flavor that was unmistakably beef, in a good way, soft, buttery, delicious. Wife's salmon was at least 3/4 of a pound, perfectly medium, soft, moist. Grilled asparagus and potatoes were again well cooked and good. Prices are more than any steakhouse in the SCV (think outback or backwoods inn) but under what you would pay at Morton's and definitely less than Mastros. Ribeye's were $46, salmon $30, and around $9.00 per side. Oh,and they brought my son a free molton chocolate cake. We also tried the creme brulee, one of the best i've tried. One more thing, drinks are very, very strong. If you're like me that's fine but for my wife, my gin/tonic would have been undrinkable without more tonic. One disappointment was the way some patrons were dressed. I know its the SCV and i'm the first to enjoy going out in a pair of shorts and polo shirt. But this is not that type of place for 40 somethings to come in wearing a baseball cap. A simple outfit of black or tan chinos, button up shirt, and closed toe shoes are not too much to expect. By the way, we went on a Thursday and it was busy, so reservations are recommended. Overall, please, as someone else posted, support this restaurant. The SCV is no longer that small country town and hasn't been for 10 years. It's grown up so lets support a grown up eatery.

Brought my wife here for date night. I like the atmosphere. Tastefully decorated and a piano player in the bar. Ordered a nice stags leap cab. Good price on a great wine. Split the burrata and tomato salad. Burrata was authentic and creamy. Plates were too cold and froze the balsamic glaze. Oh well. Had the wet aged New York, charred, medium rare. It was perfect. Wife had the dry aged fillet. She didn't care for it because she it was broken down and not moist...which is what you get with dry aged. I told her she should get the wet aged, but you know how that goes. Got the mac and cheese which was great. Broccoli graten was too all dente but okay. Service was good. Everyone was nice but professional. Would definitely come back.

Just came back from Larsens. We had 5:00 reservations. They seated us promptly in a private room off to the left. We were excited at first that we had the room to ourselves but as the place got busier, we did notice that people were being seated in the larger dining area. We thought " wow, were we soo lucky ! " Or was there a reason we were seated by ourselves away from the rest of the diners? Anyways, let me first start by saying that we are a Ruth Cris family. We love, love, love Ruth Cris! We have tried other places like Fleming's Roys...So we decided to try Larsen's given the fact that it was less than 5 minutes away from our house. Plus, it was Valentine's weekend! So going back to the dining experience. It had a nice ambiance. Nice piano playing in the background. Our waiter and servers were nice. The bread was warm and fresh. We were starving so we skipped the appetizers and went straight to the entree. My son, my father and I ordered the rib eye. I got the age cut and my father and my son got the wet? I"m not familiar with the terms but I figured whatever it was called, it should be good considering that the steaks are about 50 dollars. My husband ordered the seafood tower and my mother ordered a stuffed sole fish. We also ordered mashed potatoes, cream corn and asparagus. The wait time wasn't long. The presentation of the food was nice especially my husband's seafood tower. It was amazing! Now for the FOOD! Ok I knew it wasn't going to sizzle like Ruth Cris, but it looked funny! And it wasn't even warm. I bit into my rib eye and it was mushy! I couldn't explain the flavor or the smell. It was definitely different from the other steaks I've had. I thought maybe it was because it was age cut, but I've had age cut before. It was the most awful steak I have ever had. I looked over to my son and he also felt the same. My dad didn't like his either. I continued to eat it thinking it might get better. Unfortunately, it got worse. I tried to mask it by dipping it in the cream corn and mash potato. It didn't help. The mash potato and the cream corn were good but I've had better at Ruth Cris. I will admit they do give you a large portion. My husband's seafood tower was good and so was my mom's stuffed sole fish. But wait a minute, it is a steakhouse but their seafood was better! Again, having been a Ruth Cris fan, I gues there is nothing better than a well seasoned steak sizzling as it is being served you! Larsen's should be ashamed of themselves. I could have gotten a better steak, for a lot less at Denny's!

Love the ambiance of this restaurant, it has that old school steakhouse vibe. Food is always great, servers are just ok, bartenders are fantastic. They have a great happy hour here with yummy snacks and great martinis. I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a special occasion place.

This place is fantastic! Fantastically expensive also, so be prepared. It's nice that Santa Clarita finally has a serious steak house. We made reservation for 7:30 and for various reason got there about 25 minutes early. Bar was packed so we asked if they could seat us. No problems. The bread is unbelievably good! My wife and I both had Filets. Her's was a petite cut and I had a larger grassfed portion ($55). Her steak was very good. Mine was the best piece of meat I think I've ever had. Cooked perfectly (medium rare). Did I mention the bread? Bar looks really nice and I'd like to go back some evening and just hang at the bar and try some drinks. Only downsides was I found the lighted menu to be hard to read... and the acoustics. Strangely noisy in the dining room. Side note: 2 days after our visit the restaurant called to see if we enjoyed our meal and if we had any suggestions. Well run place! We'll be back after I save up some more money.

Happy Hour is from 5-7. We arrived at 4:54 and there were already other people waiting outside! We secured a table in the bar area, but by 5:15, the entire bar section was packed with people. Every table and every seat at the bar was filled. We had the Kobe beef sliders, the heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad, and chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was a little too dark on one side, but still tasted pretty food. The other appetizers definitely made up for the slightly over-cooked quesadilla. We will definitely be back, but arrive early for happy hour!

Wonderful atmosphere and impeccable service. I had the filet mignon, which was great but not tender enough to cut with a butter knife or fork.

Pretty decent place to go for dinner. Ridiculous with their pricing but is to be expected from a high end steak house. Food was good but not excellent by any means, however, best steak in town which isn't saying all that much but it was ok. Seafood was good and the French Onion soup was tasty. Wine list is extensive and NOT expensive. Pretty happy with the pricing on wine but the food was just ok.

The personal service was outstanding ! We went to celebrate my step son's birthday. When I made the reservation they asked the occasion and the name of the bday person. Once we arrived, they sat us down almost immediately, congratulating my bday boy by his name and gave him a bday card signed by the staff. Very classy detail. However, the big disappointment was the food. Except from me, everyone had the small ribeye steak. My husband ordered it medium rare but came out charred and over seasoned. The waitress overheard us discussing the salty steaks and sent the Mgr. He apologized for the steaks and took off the price if 1 steak from the bill. The side dishes were ok, nothing out of the ordinary, good sized, family style portions. 3 stars for the personalized service but may be 2 for the food. We were looking forward to find the "Ruth Chris" of Santa Clarita but Larsen's came out short.

Not good!! Wife and I went for our Anniversary. Started off by ordering a bottle of red wine. It arrived warm, very warm. They brought us a bucket of ice to cool it off and waitperson goes on to tell us that they store the wine "upstairs" and it was hot up there. Also goes on to tell us that we were not the only ones to say the wine was warm. Appetizer, Tomato and Mozzarella, was too cold. Tomato was almost frozen. Ordered two steaks, Ribeye adn Fillet. Both had to be sent back as they were undecooked. Fillet had to be sent back a second time. To top it all off, it was my wife's/ I understand that at the time, 7/30/2012, they had only been open about a week, but come on... $$$ price rating should have had these worked out before hand.

We tried to go on a Saturday night without reservations - we called around 5pm to see if they would take walk ins and how long the wait would be they said it was bar seating only for walk ins, so we made reservations for Sunday night. We expected this, being one of the first weekends it had opened. The husband had been to Larsen's on Ventura and highly recommended we go there when he saw it was opening here in Valencia. We were seated immediately and they introduced us to the restaurant and their glowing menus. Great touch since it was so dark in the restaurant - excellent ambiance, can't believe it's the old South Point Restaurant. The cheese bread they started us off with was awesome and the waiters did an excellent job keeping my glass full, I must have drank 5 glasses of water throughout dinner. I ordered the Chliean Sea Bass and broccolini and my husband ordered the bone-in filet and garlic mashed potatoes. All the food was delicious. By far the best sea bass I've ever eaten (comes with a yummy soy/miso sauce). Cooked perfectly! Husband loved the filet and ate the whole thing despite how full he was. Our waiter was just what you expect at a fine dining restaurant. We ordered the chocolate molten cake for dessert and it was awesome like the rest of our dinner. Prices are steep, but you definitely get what you pay for here... A classic fine dining steak house! Can't wait to go back!

This is an upscale place. Don't expect to get out for less than $100 a person before drinks. The entrees are a la carte like a lot of high end steak restaurants. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was good. 4 large shrimp with some dipping sauce. Although tasty , I would try something else next time. Perhaps the artichoke or crab cakes. My salad was fresh and flavorful. Note that salads are potato dishes are large portions. Consider sharing. The Filet Mignon was delicious and cooked exactly as I ordered it. The restaurant has a nice, dimly lit interior. It's not too noisy and you can enjoy our conversation without shouting over music. The Restaurant is separated from the bar, which can be loud.

as erveryone said here before it is pricy but SOOO worth every penny. We walked out spending $75 per person but we had no appetizer or alcohol. Here is what you can do however. Split a salad. These are huge. What they server us was big enough that I can see no way that it was a split plate. Raspberry AND champagne vinagrettes are both amazing. We each had a protein. I had the pork chop and she had the filet mignon petite cut. Mid #30s and both so worth the price. She had the baked potato. Big enough to share. I ordered the sugar snap peas. FOLKS ... buy this. Now it was her b-day so they provided the choclate lava cake. THIS IS PURE SIN and evil incarnate. Ever eat something and you just stop and you mouth and face does the happy dance. That was the experience. We both stopped and said OMG. Also let me tell you about serivce. IMPECCABLE and outstanding and completely professional. There whenever we needed him but not annoying. Offerred suggestions, she doesn't like garlic so offerred ways to make things without and made the evening perfect. Only sad thing is we can't afford to make this out regular weekly go out spot (at least not with 2 kids and their SO in tow LOL) Not a formal spot but I think you should visit at least business casual and looking good.

Ok, this is an official plea to my fellow Santaclaritians: Please, please, please don't let virtually the only fine dining restaurant in our quaint little town leave! Consider making this your spot for all special occasions; birthdays, anniversaries, prom, graduation, date night, impress important clients, or celebrating life in general... I really don't want to drive to the valley or the westside anymore, do you?! Did I mention it's delicious?! On par with Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Mastro's...

We celebrated our anniversary here and could not have felt more welcome and valued as guests. The service was excellent, the food, for the most part, outstanding, and the dining room and bar were comfortable, cozy, and inviting. The bartender Zach, was charming, our main server Tay, seemed delighted to be assisting us and the piano player was outstanding. The macaroni and cheese, sea bass and crab legs were all tasty, delicious, and seasoned perfectly. While the lighting is dim, there is a wonderful ambiance and vibe that goes along with this. The staff were attentive and the only delay was when we first arrived and ordered water, which seemed to take longer then necessary. After this, the food and beverage presentations were paced perfectly and our server surprised us with a wonderful chocolate dessert. This is a terrific restaurant, the menu choices are plentiful and appealing. I would highly recommend this location and restaurant to others and cannot wait until we have a reason to go back.

Not a fan. They couldn't cook a steak to medium???? Sent the shoe leather back for another steak and the second one was worse that the first. Very pricey for what you get......spend a little gas and go to Morton's in Burbank - they never mess up a steak

I took Mr R to dinner at Larsen's. We left feeling kind of indifferent about the place. We're very happy to have nicer restaurants coming to Santa Clarita, but we're also not sure we'd be in any rush to go back. We each started with a salad and we should have instead split just one. I had some kind of arugula goat cheese salad and he had the mixed salad. We enjoyed both of them, but they were entirely too large. The bread placed on the table was good - not warm, but still a very sweet loaf of bread. The service was okay, somewhat awkward. Not friendly but always at the table, if that makes sense. A few people constantly tried to remove the bread plates. Mr R had bread on the plate, waiting for his entree and two people came by to take it. I've always thought bread plates stayed throughout the meal, but maybe not? The restaurant itself is beautiful but dark - there are occasional glows from the tables from the light up menus. Careful, the dessert menu can blind you! The bar is noisy, and there's not a lot of privacy in the restaurant unless you get one of the handful of 4-person booths. For our entrees I had the Sea Bass and loved it, it was a very good piece of fish. I would order that again. Mr R had the grass-fed Filet which he enjoyed. For our sides we had the Green Beans and the Mac and Cheese. I shudder when I think about that Mac and Cheese, it was so disgusting. It looked like a fluorescent orange/yellow processed cheese sauce that was soupy in all of the noodles. Add some toasted bread crumbs and you have my nightmare. For dessert we shared a chocolate cake which was good. Overall, it was fine as you can see we have nothing big to complain about - but it just missed the mark somehow and didn't leave us loving the place - or maybe even liking it? I was however really impressed when they called us a week later to thank us for our business and see how we enjoyed our dinner. I really liked that and might go back for lunch some day and see how that goes.

We have been meaning to try Larsen's since it opened and finally decided to take the plunge for my birthday dinner. Very nice ambiance in the restaurant and the service was top notch! Everything everyone ordered was delicious and cooked to our liking. Portions are large and everything is al a carte like most fancy steak houses. It is expensive but no more than other steak restaurants like Morton's and Ruth's Chris. The peanut butter chocolate cake is to die for - my favorite dessert in town! If you don't want to spend the money try their happy hour in the bar - great prices on their drinks and food. I will definitely be back to have their peanut butter cake and try their happy hour!

I am a long time resident and business owner in the Santa Clarita Valley. We are always excited for new great restaurants to open here. My husband and I went when Larson's first opened. To our disappointment, my steak ordered as medium-rare came medium, so I sent it back while my husband finished his Filet. Now it came back raw! They wanted to re-cook again and I said--NO, its too late, my husband is already finished with dinner. They gave us a complementary Voucher for next time and said because they just opened they still had to get the bugs out!!!. (can u imagine saying this to a client at these prices). We said we'd never go back. Two years later, 2014, my client said it was better now, so for my birthday we went. Well, again our steaks ordered medium-rare came medium, sent them back, then they were delivered raw!! As you can imagine we were really appalled. Also, the fat on my steak tasted rotten. I got food poisoning that evening and was also sick into the next day. I can't believe an expensive steakhouse can't cook one perfectly! We will continue to eat at SALT CREEK, as I have never had to send a steak back there ever--they know how to properly cook meat and for much less $$$. Not that price matters to us, as we frequent Ruth Chris, Mastros and STK. But it would be nice to not have to go into the city for a good steak experience. They comped the meal--but we will never, ever go back again. A restaurant can't keeping make these mistakes at their customers expense. Another bites the dusk!

A real steakhouse in Santa Clarita. The grassfed filet is really good. Had their cedar plank salmon special. The salmon was not fresh that I can taste the fishy-ness. Sad that their special fish was fishy. The service was good. Also had the grilled oysters. It was okay. When you are here, just stick to their steak. Afterall, you are going to a steakhouse

Not overly impressed with the restaurant given the price. The staff was good, kudos there! Started my meal with a Caesar salad and was surprised to find the core and other tough pieces. Our server was apologetic and showed empathy. My husband saw her show the manager, but we were never checked on by him although he passed our table several times. We both got the grass fed filet and it was good, but I have had better e.g. Ruth's Chris...even the Drover in Omaha Nebraska (recommend trying it if ever there for the college World Series). Creamed spinach tasted salty. Hope this was a one off situation as Valencia needs good restaurants!

Finally a steakhouse in Valencia. To bad that the food was not great and the prices are high. My steak was cold in the center as was my friends. As a regular at Mastro's, I think the bar has been set very high. Hopefully they grow and make it work. Expect about $400.00 for 4 people and we brought our own wine for the entire dinner.

Lovely room, atmosphere, but the music is just too darn loud! We asked the waitress if she could turn the music down a little and she said she'd ask, but before that could happen, a piano player started playing. I liked his selections, but again, so loud it wore us out and it was hard to carry on a conversation. Why so loud?

The best steak in town! The sides and bead are also delicious. We intentionally went late since we had a baby with us. The waitress was great. My husband left his wedding ring in the bathroom and the bus boy came outside looking for us to return it. Good employees!

Went to Larsens Steakhouse in Santa Clarita last night and it was GREAT! its nice to finally have a "real" Steakhouse in Valencia. The New restaurant looks amazing! Its unrecognizable from the Latin restaurant is once was. I highly recommend for an appetizer the Tuna Tartar... AMAZING! The Mac and Cheese was great and the Portabello mushrooms were FANTASTIC! I ordered a Petite filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked! Bight pink and scrumptious! its a little pricey, yes. But its worth every penny! Its Great place to go for a date night, birthday or anniversary. The Lit menus are Genius!!

Decor is lovely and classy. The bar is impressive, the wine list quite acceptable albeit it bit pricey. Don't let the prices on the menu scare you. Everything other then the petite filet is enough for at least two people to share. Our waiter fantastic.

You have to be a meat lover to go here. If you have been to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, this place is exactly the same, but without the sizzling plate. If you want the Ruth's Chris experience, don't expect this place to duplicate the experience. Just stay in your car and head out to Woodland Hills to Ruth's Chris.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. Omg! The food was AMAZING! The service was superb and the atmosphere romantic. It's a little pricey but its worth every penny. I'll keep this short and simple. We ordered two medium steaks and received two almost well done steaks. This was our second and, perhaps, last vist as our first visit resulted in the same thing. I want to like this restaurant, but can't.

Larsens Rocks! Took the wife and daughter for wife's birthday, great service, Jeff was awesome. The food is amazing, bone in ribeye was sooo tender, wife had Sea bass, she loved it, daughter had stuffed chicken, all were wonderful, with big portions. Pricy. but worth every penny. Only part that was not great and cost the fifth star, was the conflict of the live piano player in the bar, which was beautiful, but it overpowered the background music in the dining room. Very distracting for an upscale restaurant.

I came here for my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. I made a reservation easily online through Open Table. We ordered the Porterhouse cut with garlic mashed potatoes and portobello mushrooms. I also got the lemondrop and we had key lime pie for dessert. I called ahead and let them know it was our anniversary and the dessert was complimentary and they gave us a signed card from the staff which I thought was very nice. Our waiter Collin was very knowledgeable and attentive. I thought the drink was okay but the blueberries were a nice touch. The meat was definitely medium rare like we requested and was very delicious. I'm personally not the keenest meat connoisseur so I can't really get too detailed on meat comparisons but I thought it was great. They also gave us two kinds of sauce. My boyfriend thought the plate could have come out hot (like at Mastro's) but we both though it tasted good. I thought the mashed potatoes were just okay - they were a bit too sweet and I wanted to them to be saltier. Also the pie was okay - but I haven't had authentic key lime pie before so perhaps I just don't like key lime pie. I thought the restaurant was decorated very nicely for the holidays and the ambiance was classy. It was a great experience and will definitely be back. Also it's great that nice classy place like this exists in Santa Clarita - I hope more places like this will come to exist here.

This steak house was very good. Pricey as others stated but not out of line for what you get. I had the salmon which was very nice. I still think that arroyo chophouse in Pasadena is the best but considering the drive we will most likely be back for a nice dinner. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was incredible, and yes, it was nice to receive a personalized card signed by the staff (it's the little things). Our steaks were perfectly seasoned and cooked (medium rare). Also, it was great to find grass-fed beef on the menu. I only wish they could offer more (or all) grass-fed cuts not just for the flavor but for overall health benefits.

My husband and I decided to check out Larsen's last Friday night. We got seated right away. Hence 1 star. He asked for a beer they were out of that one then out of all three that he requested finally the one he got was warm. I ordered tuna tartar as an appetizer that was truly tasteless. He ordered ribeye for his dinner and I ordered the salmon special. My husband did Not like the rub used to flavor the steak and felt the amount of butter drizzled over the top was way to much. I Hated the flavor of my salmon. The waiter had told me it takes 20 min to get the meal so I just didn't feel like complaint and waiting forever for another meal. Then we got the check and one of the beers we were told they didn't have was charged on the check. They did remove it when brought to their attention. I called Monday to shared with manager my experience and left a message no one called me back. Wednesday I called again and spoke to assistant manager and he said manager would call me back next day. It's sunday not a word from the restaurant. Very poor experience Did not like flavor of food at all and I felt that the least manager could have done was called me back.

We've been to the Encino location several times and have always a great experience so we were so excited to try the Valencia location right down the street from us. When we got there we were impressed with the restaurant although they didn't have a piano player like the other location. We sat down and knew what we wanted because the menu was the same. I ordered my steak medium rare and received it almost completely charred. It was so burnt that i could only eat the center and even then I could taste the burnt flavoring. I would have complained only are waiter showed up after we were done only to clear off the table. Even then he never asked how our meal was. Unlike the Encino location there wasn't even a manager to flag down. He did't ask if we wanted a box to take home are nearly uneaten $12.00 portion of mashed potatoes or if we wanted desert just brought the check. I thought I would have one last chance to speak my mind with the host but he didn't even acknowledge us on the way out. I've worked as a server for years and have respect for wait staff and it takes a lot for me to leave a bad tip. It was the first time I have left ten percent and even then I felt it was generous. The entire experience was terrible. I would prefer to drive the extra thirty minutes each way to eat at a place where the chef knows the proper way to cook a steak.

Great happy hour and food. i'd recommend the Mac & cheese with bacon and jalapeno for those who like mac & cheese. Their steak are good but not 60$ good but their sides are worth their prices. Service is excellent!

I am finally getting around to write my review from our visit Early Sept 2013. I took my husband for his birthday and I ordered rib eye and he ordered some $60 steak, I can't recall, maybe porterhouse (it was nothing good to remember). My rib eye was charred, so was my husbands steak. I could not taste anything other than the burnt taste in my mouth. I didn't want to complain because my mother in law was there (I don't recall inviting her, but that's another story). So as u can see in the pictures, everything is a la carte, fine. We ordered Mac n cheese and asparagus. The Mac and cheese was good, but not very much. They seemed to be in a hurry to get us out and started collecting plates. I specifically told the waitress collecting our plates that "I want everything packed to go, including the rosemary sprigs and roasted garlic" I also pointed at the bread. On my plate was half the Mac n cheese and some asparagus. Our tab was approx $230 plus tip approx $300. After we left, I asked my husband what he thought and he said he was not happy with his steak and we would not be going back. I didn't check my to go boxes until I felt like a midnight snack, lol. When I did, I was furious!!! No bread! No rosemary or roasted garlic! No Mac n cheese or asparagus that was on my plate! I had a dry, charred piece of nasty rib eye all by itself in a to go box. I wanted to call them, however, they were closed, I went upstairs and asked my husband what he recalls me requesting to pack to go, he stated exactly what I quoted above! The next day, I called and spoke to the manager, he apologized and said he would make up for it. 2 days later in our mailbox was a gift card. I thought I would check the balance on it before we went back. What an INSULT, $50???? Really??? That does not even cover the rib eye! What about my husbands nasty steak? My Mac n cheese they tossed??? My bread? The waste of time and bad birthday experience? It's not about the money. I would have paid $500 if it was good! So let me understand, they want me to spend another $250 (after they apply the insult of a gift card) out of my pocket and take the chance that I am going to be happy with the food or service? To be honest, I tried to offer that nasty steak to everyone that came to my house, they looked at it and said no way. I literally cut it up and gave it to my chihuahua. I got a follow up call from another manger asking about our experience and possible reservation. I decided, why bother? We will never go back. They can keep their $50 insult.

Went to have a martini after a girls night of shopping. Was so excited to try the macaroni and cheese and was kind of disappointed. My friend and I split the wedge salad and Mac and cheese with bacon and sun dried tomatoes. The bacon in both dishes was old and chewy the pasta was like soup and over seasoned. The bread was excellent. Looking at the near empty restaurant I could only think of how much food is wasted and with the prices it worried me. I have no problem paying good money for food or drinks but I think this place is over priced and definitely over rated.

I've dined at many fine steakhouses across the country. The atmosphere here gets a 5! Unfortunately the food failed to live up to the esthetics. The filet carpaccio was average at best. After an over the top hard sell on their "exclusive" Japanese Kobe steak I decided to give it a shot. Very underwhelming. It was a bit tough and lacked flavor or marbling. I almost wondered if they brought me the wrong steak. Very overpriced. Good attentive service though. Mediocre food. :(

Had a 7:30 reservation. We checked in at 7:25, was told by hostess that we would be seated in roughly 15 minutes. 30 minutes later, I checked with hostess...she told us we were "4th up and would be seated in about 10 minutes". 20 minutes more...we asked hostess and were told we were "next up, should be seated in a few minutes". 20 MORE MINUTES LATER, we wend to hostess again and she was surprised we were back and within a few minutes we were seated. We were standing right in front of hostess for more than an hour after our reservation time, took over an hour to be seated! After apologizing for the long wait, the hostess told us the "manager will come see us and he is going to take great care of you". After being seated, the manager came over, apologized, then told us everything would go "perfect from here". We then ordered drinks. Manager came back minutes later and said they were out of the beer we ordered, and asked for our second choice. He then came back with half a glass of that beer and said they were changing the keg! Total time spent at restaurant was 3 hours. Food was ok, but overpriced compared to other premium steakhouses-especially given the poor service. Server was professional and on his game. After all the problems, no help from manager on the bill. We were not sure how the manager helped the situation at all. He took a bad situation and made it worse. And the hostess giving us an expectation that "he's going to take care of you" led us to believe he would comp dessert or something small at least. NOPE! Full Price after horrible service and manager involvement. I will go elsewhere when its time for prime steak and top-notch service.

Soooo good. I had the Chilean sea bass, boyfriend had the steak. Our waiter was attentive but not super chummy, a plus when you're going to enjoy a meal like that. Wish we would've dressed up a little nicer, not a spontaneous meal spot. Prepare to spend $150+ for 2.

Went back to Larsens tonight, not a good idea. My wife ordered a salad that was mediocre. For entree's I ordered lobster tails & wife had cold seafood tower with only crab & shrimp. I sent the lobster back. Not cooked properly. When it came out again I realized it was not good lobster period. For $59 for 2 8 oz tails it should have been. GM came to the table & was very accommodating , asked what else. I would like but I passed. The seafood tower was disappointing. Probably because Mastros sets the bar for one. However, if you are going to charge like Mastros & Mortons then you should be, at least close, to that good. The crab was skinny & obviously frozen too long. It had no taste. 4 of the shrimp were large, meaty prawns, the others much smaller. Waitress was very good & tried hard. Took 10 minutes to get mustard mayonnaise sauce. Overall not worth it at all. Maybe should have given 2 stars, but for the cost only 1.

Never have we been greeted or served better. All food was perfect. The steaks were so very moist and amazingly flavorful . The terrific sides were large enough for four, and the specialty cocktails were great! This is the best high end restaurant in Santa Clarita. Live piano accompanyment is awesome. A touch of class!

One of my favorite places in SCV. Great food and atmosphere. The bar has a great happy hour but they are always packed so get there early to get a seat!

We've been anxious to try this restaurant since it opened. We tried to go one night spontaneously, but understandably for the SCV, they didn't have a table available for a couple of hours. We decided to come back at a later date. I went online to see if I could make a reservation and was pleasantly surprised to see that I could! I made a reservation for four on a Saturday night for 8PM. We arrived at about 10 minutes to 8 and gave the folks at the front desk our name and confirmation number. The seating staff was slightly rude and immediately indicated that we would not necessarily be seated on time and that the reservation was just a general guide. We took a seat in some chairs directly across from the personal wine lockers I assume you can lease. The atmosphere of the restaurant seemed very elegant. The waitstaff were smartly dressed in dinner jackets. We were ultimately seated within 15 minutes much to my pleasant surprise. We were each handed the menus, which were pleasantly backlit, like an iPad, and the illumination was just enough to see the menu without being too bright. A really nice touch. The service was top notch. Very attentive, but not intrusive. Our waiter was fantastic and she had a great personality, while remaining very professional. My wife and I split a wedge salad, which was plenty for both of us. I had the Halibut and my wife had the chicken, both delicious. My son ordered a petite filet which he asked to be cooked medium. (pink in center), and it came out well done, which resulted in the steak being a bit tough. All in all a decent experience. Now I must mention... As someone mentioned in an earlier review, I think the restaurant should have a bit of a dress code. Button down shirts and no shorts at the very least. The clientele is mostly the classic Santa Clarita douchey pseudo-sophisticated Beverly Hills wanna-be but can't quite afford it crowd. The wine lockers were a dead give-away. Instead of them being tastefully placed at subtle location, they are smack out where everyone walks by to their table, with big giant placards bearing the names of the owners. Tres tacky. More for status than convenience. I think the most noticeably annoying trait, is that the restaurant is incredibly noisy. Almost cafeteria sound levels. Possibly due to clientele mentioned the previous paragraph. A bit of a "scene". The restaurant is quite pricey, understandably so due to the excellent service and food. But the noisy atmosphere is a bit of a deal killer for me. I think I would rather hit a Morton's or a Ruth's Chris for the same money and have a quiet dinner with my family.

Came here for dinner last night for my boyfriend's birthday. I was a little worried because I've been to expensive steakhouses before like Fleming's and Morton's and have been disappointed in the past. The first thing I noticed was the Piano bar, they have a nice bar area with a Piano player playing right as you walk in at least when we walked in at 7:10pm. We had reservations at 7:30 and were immediately seated even though we were early on Tuesday evening. The Piano bar was kind of loud and I was worried the dinner area would be loud as well, but as our hostess walked us around the back to our seats suddenly the room became quiet, and instantly realized they must have sound-proofing walls or windows to keep out the sound from the bar which was really nice. We got a nice corner booth and as soon as the hostess handed us our menus and we opened them the menus light up inside so their guests can read them in the low light setting; so that was nice touch. The hostess pointed out to us that the card sitting on our table was for my boyfriend, and as he opened it it was a birthday card with his name signed by most of the staff wishing him a Happy Birthday; this was the first time we've ever seen a restaurant do something that like and it was really a great surprise. We ordered our food and the complimentary cheese bread with butter on the side came; have to say this is by far the best bread at any restaurant I have tasted. At the end of our meal the waitress even asked if we wanted a loaf to go and said she didn't mind giving one to us which was really sweet of her; don't think they usually do this for their guests unless you ask. My boyfriend ordered the 12oz Filet and I got the 8oz Filet with Mushrooms for an extra $4 charge and ordered the Garlic mashed potatoes and creamed corn. When our food came, I have to say it was great. I was happy that they didn't mess up our order at all because I've had this happen to me several times with family dinners at Fleming's in Canoga Park. The mushrooms I ordered with my 8oz Filet were well worth the price to add to it because they give you a lot and they were chopped, sautéed and had some chopped garlic with them. My boyfriend and I agreed the Filet's melt in your mouth, that is how good it was and the seasoning on them was superb. We also noticed our Filet's were not charred or burnt at all which is always a plus, and the way we both wanted them cooked was excellent. I got mine medium and my boyfriend's was medium rare. He kept on raving about how good the medium rare was cooked and it was just how he liked his steak cooked. The plate with the filets on them also had a cooked onion on it that was delicious and Bernaise sauce to dip your steak in as you please and that was also some excellent sauce. The garlic mashed potatoes I have to say were good, but not amazing as I am a potato enthusiast and like to judge any restaurant on potatoes, I think next time I'm going to have to try the Au Gratin Potatoes that were also listed as one of the sides. The cream corn was okay, not too much flavor, but the corn was good and crisp, but I don't think I would get it again, I compare this dish to the recipe I make at home, which is Gulliver's Cream Corn and mine has much more flavor to it. After we were done with our food it was sad to take our lasts bites of our Filet's because they were so amazing, but our plates got taken away and the waitress packed up our sides and My boyfriend jokingly said that the bread was so good earlier, and that I even wanted one to take home if I could, and the waitress told us that she didn't mind and packed that up for us as well. As we were waiting the waitress brought out a molten chocolate cake with a candle and whipped cream and said Happy Birthday to my boyfriend. We were so full we couldn't finish it, but the dessert was delicious. The waitress also asked if we wanted any coffee or expresso but we kindly said no thank you. I asked to see to dessert menu just to have a look for next time, they had a variety of desserts like the Molten Chocolate Cake, Banana Cheesecake, Bread pudding, NY cheesecake, Key Lime Pie, Creme Brûlée, and a few other choices. The waitress brought us our check and we were off. All in all the service and food were amazing. The prices though are steep, as we spent about $175 with tip for just two of us. **Update: I'm still a fan of this place because of the steak, but I have to say after going to Ruth Chris today, I have to say this place is like #3 on my steakhouse list. The reasons I have are: 1. Prices are too steep. $47.99 for a Petite Filet?!?!? Really? This is versus going to Ruth Chris where the petite is $37 and it's even a little bigger than 8oz. and just as good if not better. 2. Sides at Larsen's are not tasty. The cream corn we had was bland, and garlic mashed potatoes had too much garlic in it. I'd rather go to the other steakhouses I mentioned above for sides.

My husband made reservations as it was our anniversary. The hostess greeted us and congratulated us on our celebration. (Nice touch) Our server was amazing (Thank you Andrew) he as well acknowledged why we were there and thanked us for choosing to celebrate with them. Made some great suggestions, explained the specials and made our dining experience wonderful. We ordered the colosal shrimp wrapped with maple wood bacon...the best. My husband ordered the RibEye and I the Petite Filet Mignon ala Oscar....FANTASTIC. The food was cooked perfectly and delivered hot. Never out of water and table always picked up. They brought us out a complimentary dessert which we didn't have enough room to eat, but appreciated it. I highly recommend that you give it a shot! We really enjoyed it!

Best Steakhouse around for miles. The staff is courteous and anticipates your needs. This is just what Valencia need. Top notch food and service. 5 stars. The GM Richard even took time to see how we were doing. Who else does this. Wow is all I can say.

Amateur hour experience and not worth the money,. Had poor experience with service and seating that included being offered a lousy table in a the stuffy side room filled with families with children and with a table and seat in a doorway, chairs in the main dining room with seats that sagged, not being offered service for 20 minutes while the server stood with his back to us schmoozing some regular and to top it off, being bumped into by the port cart because the table was in an aisle....like the old saying: "Besides that, how'd ya like the play, Mrs. Lincoln?". The food and wine were good but for the money I'll gladly go to one of the others next time.

Went back to Larsen's after a not so good first experience. We had a 7:30 reservation and were seated immediately. The service was exceptional. The food was outstanding, filets cooked perfectly, amazing lobster mashed potatoes, and great lobster bisque. Watch out, the bread is really good! More than most are used to spending in Santa Clarita but definitely worth it. We will be back!

I've been to the bar three times and in the restaurant once since they opened. The Positives: 1) The bartenders really know what they're doing, and even though drinks are expensive, they're STRONG, so one feels like two (* one of the best "Old Fashioned"s I've ever had). 2) The hostess (Kelly, blonde and bubbly with a light-up smile) should train hosts for a living. Even when I showed to the packed restaurant without a reservation she made me feel instantly welcome (there was some space at the bar where we waited until we had a table), and having her greet/seat/meet you is a superb experience walking in. (It got me ready to spend some money!) 3) Their "champagne dressing" makes salads taste like HEAVEN, the bread at the start of the meal is yummy (I wonder if you can request it presliced and with warmed butter), and their Banana Cheesecake is DIVINE, and their other desserts are all quite tasty. 4) The steak (I had grass fed) was tasty, if a litle too unevenly cooked The Negatives (being PICKY): The only negatives I can find are menu-based (the menu itself)... 1) KOBE beef is an option on the dinner menu, but KOBE beef does not exist outside of Japan. (They don't export it.). The term isn't legally regulated in America (like the "champagne" term), but for such a high-end steakhouse, they should really be accurate and at least say "KOBE style" so they're not being false. 2) We ordered mashed sweet potatoes and were shocked to have them come with marshmallows on top (since it wasn't described in the menu). Put in something ("Traditional," or even "with marshmallow") to show that this is a "normal" dish and not an exciting new take on sweet potatoes. (They were still quite tasty!) 3) The menus are backlit at the bar. The tan paper is lovely, but the smaller menus with white paper are too bright. Also, the two small menus (one listing desserts and the other wines by-the-glass) look the same, so we were handed many of the same menu before finally seeing the wines. All in all I WILL be back (especially for the bar, desserts, and salad), and I hope this restaurant sticks around SCV for a long time.

Great Ambiance, smiling friendly staff,. The bread they bring to the table taste fresh right out of the oven. Amazing taste Appetizers:ordered crab cakes, and ahi tartar both were very good and full of flavor. Main Course: Ribeye bone-in it was a great steak, cooked to perfection, full of flavor, a little bit of fat but just right. Sides: we ordered the jalapeno bacon mac n cheese, asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, and squash, everything was good but the mac n cheese and asparagus were my favorite. The sides are huge and enough for 2-3 people. Too full had no room for dessert. This place was overall amazing. The food tasted great full of flavor and great service with smile. We had a party of 5 people and spent $370 but it was worth it. average about $75 per person but only 2 people had drinks expect to spend $100 per person but great taste Would eat here more often if i could afford it.

I was EXTREMELY impressed with the service and the food at Larsen's. Every now and then I crave a good steak, but not motivated to make the trip to Mastro's or Morton's. I was a skeptic when friends told us to give Larsen's a try. Let me tell you....they did NOT disappoint. We had reservations for 8pm on a busy Saturday and we were seated at a booth right away. Our waitress was very attentive, our glasses were never empty and the bartender has a heavy hand. The food was amazing; I highly recommend the lobster mashed potatoes and the bone in rib eye. SO WORTH the money and the calories....and we didn't have to leave the 91354. The following Monday, I received a call from the hostess asking about our Larsen's experience, I said "FABULOUS, Larsen's is my new GO TO PLACE".

I'm a big fan of steakhouses, and tried this one for the first time - excellent food and service. The sommelier was very helpful in recommending a great wine, and I had a New York Strip with Peppercorn that was prepared perfectly (medium rare, as ordered). Very lean and tender. The absolute stand-out on the menu was the jalepeno macaroni and cheese - wow. I'll go back just for an order of that! The grilled asparagus was pretty amazing as well. Had a drink at the bar before meeting my dinner companion - great selection of beers and wines by the glass. Very friendly staff all around.

4 star food, 3 star atmosphere, with a 5 star price. We paid $180 for my wife and I. We both feel the same, this price is fine with 5 star everything, but the restaurant was noisy, too many tables packed into the size of the restaurant and the food was good, but not excellent. I had the ribeye and the flavor was very good but the meat was not that tender for $80.(that was Oscar style which had asparagus and a crab cake one top that was just ok). Our waiter(Cochise) was very good, but seemed to be overworked, even doing some of the busboy work. Also my wife looked at the online menu and wanted to order the prime rib which was on the online menu, however the restaurant didn't offer prime rib when we got there.

THE place for fine steaks in Santa Clarita. I enjoyed the special cut NY Strip w/Peppercorn and was delighted! Wife chose the Filet Mignon with Bernaise and we both have the leftovers for a second meal. Try the carmelized Portobello. It was spectacular. Ambience and decor match the expectation of a finer restaurant, coupled with soft Jazz and attentive wait staff, we'll be repeaters to this nice entry close to the cinemas with easy parking. A private room for parties up to 30 and an ample Bar complete the area's newest steakhouse.

When this place opened, it was outstanding. Unfortunately, we raved about it and took friends last night. It was an utter disappointment. I called in for a reservation for 7- she said only a 745 was available so I took it. We arrived at 745 but were told it would be 10 minutes. We heard her tell walk-ins the same wait time. We waited 20 minutes for a table for 4. So, don't take reservations if you don't hold tables! Then we got sat in a small room with 6 full tables- the sound was so amplified and so loud that we had to shout to hear each other. The service was beyond slow- we waited 10 minutes to place our drink orders and another 10 to get them. The food tasted fine- all had steaks. The dessert was also disappointing- peanut butter and chocolate cake- have had better cake from Costco. I received a call from an employee of Larsen's to ask about my experience. I told her exactly what I wrote here and yet, no attempt to make me happy. Just another reason to go to LA for a nice night out....

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary!! We had an awesome experience. I had the petite filet cooked medium and it was perfect, my husband had the grass fed filet and lobster tail and it was also awesome!! The bread is also to die for!! Since i know the exec chef we had a complimentary appetizer which we chose the bacon wrapped shrimp, i am not a fish eater, however, i did have one of these dipped in the lobster cream sauce and it was awesome!! We will definitely go back for a special occasion dinner!! we also got a complimentary dessert and he brought us lime, black cherry and mango dessert which was also awesome!!

Went here for our anniversary as there are very few upscale places in the Santa Clarita Valley. We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely atmosphere and we were able to have a conversation and actually hear each other. We would compare it to Ruth Chris or Flemings on the pricey side, but very good. We had a steak that had to be sent back, it was very rare for a medium rare steak but had lots of flavor. The salmon special with yummy! It was a lovely evening, we will try it again rather than driving to the valley.

We agree with previous reviewer, we left indifferent. The dining room is very loud, we were seated at a small table for 2 that didn't even properly fit our bottle of wine, dinners and sides. Make sure you request a booth if you are going to go so you are not stuck at these small tables. (we did have reservations) The wine selection is ok, nothing to brag about and quite small. They were very busy so it took forever for our wine to be brought to our table. The bread and butter is great. Grass feed steak was really good, but don't waste your money on the petite filet, it was not even average. We've had way better steak at Vons and actually at Maru which is right down the street. The iceberg salad has an odd dressing on it, it said blue cleese but there was something else in it. The tuna tartar was fine. The mash potatoes have way too much garlic in them and the green beans were overcooked. We were so excited to finally have a steakhouse in Valencia but this one has a long way to go for the prices you are charging. Make the drive to Ruth Chris or Morton's for now, maybe they will get better after they have been open awhile. Service - 2-3 (when a couple is spending $350 on dinner, this should be top notch, your servers need more training) Bread & Butter - 5 Petite Filet - 2 (flavorless, meaning the flavor of the beef, it has plenty of salt on the top of it) Grassfeed - 5 (this was excellent) Potatoes - 2 Greenbeans - 2 We didn't even look at the dessert menu since we were kinda over it at this point.

My family recently moved back to Valencia and were pleasantly surprised to learn there is now a good steakhouse in town! My husband and I went to Larsen's for our 26th wedding anniversary and had a great time. We arrived a half hour before our reservation to check out the bar and it was getting crowded but we found 2 seats and ordered vodka tonics that were a bit strong but good. You always expect higher prices for everything at a steakhouse but 2 vodka tonics were $28, before gratuity! When we sat down for dinner we were greeted by a super friendly waiter who told us about some his favorites on the menu, cuts of meat, etc. I started with an arugula salad and my husband the French onion soup, for dinner ribeye steaks and sides of grilled asparagus that were just a tad undercooked but yummy with a balsamic dressing drizzled over them and garlic mash potatoes. Portion sizes were very generous, the food on par with other well-known steakhouses, and the waitstaff very friendly and attentive. The one thing that drove me crazy was how sloppy other guests were dressed! Shorts, Birkenstocks, flip-flops, and dresses better suited for pool-side. This is not the fault of Larsen's but people, make an effort! All that said, we will definitely go back.

My husband and I went to Larsen's for the first time last nite. Our server was Kevin F, and he was amazing..Yes, I read all the reviews regarding the noise ,small tables, and the price.. Yes, it was noisy, Yes, the tables are small, and Yes the food is extremely pricey!!!. With that being said, Everything except the steak can be shared, With drinks, appetizer ,steaks and sides, over $300 plus tip..The ambience, even noisy was very comfortable. The food was incredible. But let me begin with Kevin. He was caring, considerate and surprising..I craved the creamed corn, but ordered the asparagus anyway, he knew that, and brought out the corn as a surprise, no charge! Who does that!! Everything comes separate. The steak, crabcakes were incredible! Everything was delicious, Most important, the staff was accommodating, quick, and Kevin made everything special. Noticed people with shorts and flip-flops. Don't do it!Extremely inappropriate for this place. Sorry that I can't go back in the near future, because spent my food money for the week. Would be nice if they had "Specials", Overall, great experience, great food, and great server.. Nice treat!!!

My wife and I went to celebrate our 27th anniversary. No reservations on Thursday night. It was crowded, but they sat us immediately in a nice location. Light up menus we're helpful. I didn't have to turn on the iPhone to see! Meat is king, here. The prices match. I think the cheapest cut was $25. The waiter was great, drinks arrived quickly and were worth any cost. Our bread was forgotten for a long time, but when it finally arrived (after the steak arrived) it was heavenly. Salads were delicious, dessert was, too. We also added side dishes of broccoli and steak fries. In the end, we were stuffed. Pain in the gut stuffed. In fact, that pain lasted two days. Really. My ribeye steak was good, but not so great the next day. My wife's filet was best, and equally delicious out of the doggy bag. The leftover broccoli may have been the cause of the tummy pain. When we prepared the leftovers the next day, we discovered the broccoli dish had solidified like a stick of Crisco. Don't know if it was butter or oil but it was less broccoli and more other. I'm not used to greasy foods, and I wouldn't have guessed broccoli could be unhealthy. It's what you get when eating in a really dark restaurant. We spent $200 for two. It was slightly more than we spend at Salt Creek, but the service was far superior (we always feel the staff at Salt Creek is curt and snobby). Next time I got, I'm saving money and getting the petite filet like my wife had. It was a great steak and a great deal.

I really went here wanting to like this place. There are just too many downsides to our experience that should not happen in a restaurant in this price range. Went here with my wife and her brothers and a sister in law at the invitation of my mother-in-law (7 total). My grass fed filet Mignon was very good. The sides that we all shared, not so much. The Caesar salad was weak on the dressing and didn't seem to be better than a store bought salad kit. The garlic mashed potatoes were so pureed I felt like I was eating baby food. The service was good at the start but as the evening progressed seemed to take longer and longer. When I ordered a second beer i was told 1/2 hour later they were out of that brand. To Larsen's credit, the manager comped me a "barley wine" as they were aware of the delay even without my complaining. My hearing is not what it used to be and I have particular difficulty when there is a lot of background noise. Larsen's noise level is not what I would expect in this price range. All said, this was not a terrible experience but Larsen's will need to step it up a few notches if they expect to survive as a high end experience at the rates they charge. Today, 4/30/12, changed this to three stars only due to the fact that the manager tried to help resolve the issue. Perhaps we'll give Larsen's a try again in the future as at least they are trying.

We went here for our 31st anniversary on Wednesday, everyone who greeted us wished a happy anniversary. They even had a card on our table signed by all the servers. Our waiter was Ian, who was just wonderful. We had the wedge, big enough to share, I had the grass fed filet and my husband the halibut, both were wonderful! The place is pricey, but the atmosphere, the food and service are well worth it.

Excellent! This place makes it tough to want to drive down to Ruth's Chris. Nice atmosphere, and enjoyed some terrific food! Sure isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. Staff members are friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about their food. The bar is well done also (just wish they'd ditch the television) and the people behind know what they are doing. Someone (I think the manager) came by to inquire of our experience and all staff seemed genuinely concerned that our expectations were met and we enjoyed our time there. Finally nice to have a proper steak house right here in town. I've been there several times and will continue to do so.

Having lived in Las Vegas the mecca of steakhouses and top end restuarants, we were beyond pleased to find this amazing place in little Santa Clarita. From the decor to the knowledagble waitstaff, everything from the time we arrived to the time we left was perfect. As for the food, incredible! I joked that if I ever had to have a last meal, the one I enjoyed that evenig was it. We started with the spicy shrimp which weren't too hot but full of flavor. We shared the ribeye which was more then enough for two and also got the grilled asparagas and garlic mashed potatoes which were both exceptional. To top it of, my creme brulee was the best i've ever had. Yes, it's pricy but if you want cheap steak go elsewhere. This is a dining experience and for us, it was worth every cent we spent. They even called me a week later to see how our dining experience was. All of this from a little steakhouse tucked away near a mall. Stay classy Santa Clarita!

The atmosphere is pretty awesome, very upscale. The drinks are strong and the food was great, however, very pricey. Do not use the valet! (reason for the 3 stars) Valet attendant drained our car battery and claimed to not be responsible. Letter was sent to management and they didn't seem to care because nobody ever responded. It's too bad that our evening had to be ruined by valet and left that bad impression on us. It's nice to have this great restaurant in the SCV however, they should care about their customers more, word gets around quickly.

Very impressed that Santa Clarita finally has an upscale restaurant. Went with the intention of having a drink before dinner and to listen to the piano player in the bar. Got there about 6:45 on a Friday and the bar was packed so we were seated early for dinner. I would advise reservations, at least on Friday as the dining room was packed all night. Service is attentive without being obtrusive. I had the 10 0z Grass Fed Filet and my partner the 16 0z Rib Eye. Both cuts were excellent and the Filet was probably the most tender I have ever had. Hard to judge the sides as we ordered unhealthy and had the fries and onion rings to share. Both were very good, but nothing to brag about. Even though I was prepared for this to be a pricey meal it was a little more expensive than I had anticipated. I will definitely return but dining here will have to be limited. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion.

Saw this new place tonight while on our way somewhere else. Thought we'd give it a try. The bar seemed a little noisy but not bad really and it was Monday night and football was on the flat screens. Hostess and wait staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Our party enjoyed good wine, beer, & cocktails. Bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp, suggested by our waiter, was fantastic. My wife and I split a really good heirloom tomato salad which was enough for two. NOW the main courses: my wife's Dover Sole although very tasty was on the dry side. The saving grace for her was the sauce, very good and not over powering. My $45, 16oz Ribeye was a huge disappointment. It looked and smelled great! Unfortunately I had to saw through it like cutting wood. I tried eating my way around it looking for a tender bite. Another thing, it was just warm, not even hot like you would expect, and not tasteful! I told the waiter how disappointed I was when he finally came back to ask. The manager came over and apologized and offered to cook another one, but at this point I'd lost my appetite. The couple with us ordered the lobster / filet special and remarked it was very good. They ended up comping my dinner and salad which was nice and what they should have done. Would I go back? I'm on the fence on that Q. Ruth's Chris they are NOT! Not even close!

We put the service team to the test with a group of 10+baby in to celebrate a family birthday. Andrew was our waiter and was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! He was very attentive.... drinks and bread baskets were always full. We had many wine selections to choose from and Andrew's wine suggestion was spot on!! We had the grilled artichoke and bacon wrapped shrip for appetizers.....YUMMMMMM! With such a big party, we ordered a large variety of entrees (tuna steak, swordfish, chicken, steaks) from the menu and were not disappointed. Side dishes were the perfect compliment to every entree.....especially the creamiest garlic mashed potatoes we've ever had! However inappropriate it may have been, they were so good that we made it family style eating! The finale was the birthday cake that we brought with us.....the staff delivered a cake full of flaming candles and singing happy birthday with enthusiasm! The food is worth the experience, but the service we received really made the evening! From the initial greeting to the final farewell, our time at Larsen's was fantastic!

My husband and I went to Larsen's Steakhouse last night. We were looking for something romantic and new and different then our same old places. We made a reservation. Upon arrival we were escorted to our table by a lovely young lady. We were greeted with a nice friendly smile in a prompt manner by our server, Lindsie. She offered suggestions. We did start with the Ahi Tuna Tartar and as another reviewer stated, it was AMAZING!!!! We had a filet that was cooked to perfection and we split it, and they split it for us which was nice. We finished off our meal with some creme brulee and it was wonderful!!! To top it all off, they called us the next day and asked us how everything was, oh and did I mention the manager even came by our table to ask us how everything was while we were dining. Highly reccommend this place!!! If you went and had a bad experience go again and let them know that, they really are concerned about their customers happiness.

We ate at Larsens on saturday May 10, 2014 to celebrate Mothers day early. We had been wanting to try this steak house for quite sometime. We were very excited to try out this premier steak house so close to our home. In the past we've had to travel to Las Vegas or Beverly Hills just to eat at Cut. Let me start by saying the restraint is small, dark and extremely loud. They sat us in a tiny table pushed all the way against the wall with other tables arm length away. I immediately asked to be seated in a booth however their reply was "no, those are only for tables of four." As we were about to leave they said we could be seated in their private dining room. This area was much nicer. Quit and I thought okay, this is going to be nice. As we sat waiting for our order I was taking with my Husband telling him we would bring our boys. My views immediately changed when the food was brought out. I must say the food was terrible. Nothing extraordinary about it. We had a wedge salad with ranch - good but nothing special We also ordered two steaks and three sides. I opted for the more expensive rib eye as the waitress said it would be the better choice. The rib eye was cold, riddled with fat and grit. It tasted like the steak at sizzler. My husband ordered the aged New York strip steak. It was extremely dry and he wished he had catsup. For our side we had steamed broccoli, Cream of corn, and garlic mashed potatoes. The broccoli was as hard as a rock and was completely under steamed. The garlic mashed potatoes were awful. They had way too much garlic in them it made me want to spit it out. The cream of corn was cold and the corn was hard and under cooked. To sum it up the food and atmosphere was definitely not worth the $230 spent. It was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend Larsens to my family and friends.

This is the best steak in the SCV and quite possibly Southern California. We had our Valentine's Day dinner here a few months back, and were blown away. The steak was perfectly cooked, one blue (which most places don't actually do) and one medium rare. There was a blueberry glaze that I still dream about. The fresh steamed broccoli and truffle macaroni & cheese were incredible, and the creme brulee was the best I've had in a long time. The restaurant was spotless, the place had rose petals and candles strewn about for the holiday, and the waitstaff was kind and helpful. Yes, it is pricey. We spent about $130 plus tip. Still, it was a special occasion and we enjoy treating ourselves every once in a while.

Outstanding. Dry aged ribeye was awesome ranks in top 5. Which says a lot. I've been to 300+ prime steakhouses In The last 20 years. Zak and Ivonne at the bar were awesome. Sides are plenty to share for up to 3-4. Steak once again was absolutely prepared med rare plus. Wines by the glass are served at the perfect temp because they are "on tap".

Had dinner here on May 23 to celebrate my daughters 20th bday. It was an enjoyable night and dinner was good. Our waiter Kevin was attentive and knowledgable and the rest of the staff were attentive - refilled water glasses and made sure dirty plates were cleared and replaced with clean ones. We started off with our drinks and soon came our bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers. Although I didn't eat the bacon, the rest of my party did and conveyed that the bacon was slightly on the salty end. Next came our salads which we asked to be split in two and thank goodness we did as their salad, to my opinion, was huge. Our meal came next and everyone enjoyed their steaks from filet mignon to bone-in rib eye. I on the other hand ordered the Chilean sea bass which was pan seared perfectly. I didn't like the soy glaze reduction which was on the side - too salty. Our table ordered family style side dishes. Warning to those ordering their side dishes - Larsen's provides a lot!!! My daughter liked the macaroni with jalapeño & bacon whereas my sister enjoyed the broccoli au gratin more. In between our meals, cocktail drinks were flowing and our pinot noir bottle emptied. Stuffed as we were, Larsen's complimented one desert for my daughters birthday. She ordered the cheesecake and we added another desert, creme brûlée - YUM!!!! Overall, our visit to Larsen's that night was good. Everyone enjoyed the dinner, ambiance and the overall attentiveness of Larsen's employee. Thank you!

If you want to go to an amazing steak house skip this place - with the prices it is worth the drive to a a steakhouse with steaks that melt in your mouth rather than all chewy like these guys. It's an alright steal but your basically paying for the upper middle class over priced experience.

We were seated quickly with reservation. The ambiance is very romantic. The background music has classics from Sinatra playing. The steak was tender and very flavorful. The staff is very attentive with the Manager and Head Chef checking on you. A wonderful dining experience each time we come. Keep up the great work!!!

This place is totally upscale. I dropped a cool buck and a half with dessert. Atmosphere was great, service was good as well. The food was just ok, I thought I would get the "Gotcha" steak I've had at Morton's and Ruth's Chris but I didn't, it was just ok, and if I'm dropping coin like that! You better WOW me!! I will say this, we went about a month or so after their grand opening so maybe they needed more time to iron out the kink's?? I am going to try them again just not sure when.

Larsons was exquisite. The food was just amazing. My steak was a fillet mignon wrapped in bacon that was to die for. We ordered four sides - Portabella mushrooms mac & cheese mashed potatoes and asparagus. He had a party of four which all sides were enough to feed another two people. I highly recommend this establishment to go out to eat. Staff was on top of us like lightning speed. The food was prepared within 10 to 15 minutes. The only negative it was that the food was prepared too fast we didn't have enough time actually speak and enjoy everything. We brought two bottles of wine which they charge and uncorking fee. We had two bottles of Merlot that work amazing. If you're willing to spend around $100 - $150 per person then this restaurant is perfect. Won't be disappointed once you leave Larson's. Well worth the money I'll do it over and over again.

First time going to Larsen's after moving to Santa Clarita. Arrived about 915 and the bar was still full so we decided to sit there. We ordered two glasses of wine that in most restaurants would equate to two, which in a steakhouse is hard to find. We ordered the lobster bisque which is probably one of the best I've had. It is rich creamy and has huge chunks of lobster in it. Then my hubby and I ordered the 10 oz grass fed fillet and wedge salad. We split everything that night just because it was so late but all the servings are fit for two! The wedge salad is an actual half head of lettuce instead of the 1/4 u usually get. The piano started around 930 and people were still coming in till about 1030. It was great service, atmosphere and food!

This is our second time here and both experiences have been amazing. We got the spinach, crab dip and the sautéed shrimp as appetizers, both were amazing and could have probably filled us up, but of course we had to have steak! We both ordered filets with the lobster mashed potatoes and the asparagus. All was absolutely delicious! The lobster mashed potatoes are a must!!! There was enough for at least 4 people, so we had lots of extra! Definitely a must try when in Valencia!
