The Breakfast Club Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

We have eaten here everytime we visit. It's always the best breakfast ever. Fresh, delicious, varied menu. Crowded on weekends but easy midweek probably my favorite breakfast place in California. Great soy chai, a huge variety. Wish I lived closer.

First time we went it was so crowded we left after too long of a wait. Finally decided to give another try and glad we did. Food is good, service is fast, and prices are decent.

My mom and I went in here because it was packed and we wanted to check it out, but it wasn't as good as we thought it would be. Don't get me wrong it was ok! Just standard but nothing great

I've ate here for breakfast 5x now... The food is good and the service is friendly.... The sausage patty and the biscuits and gravy are good....

Love the breakfast! Enjoyed the burger. Really loved the live music by The Mystery Machine!

This place is really good. Busy? Yes! Worth the wait? Yes! The food comes out fast and hot. Lots of different things to choose from. The staff is very friendly and is on top of things. I would defiantly go back.

My friend and I stopped here for breakfast on the way to the 17-mile drive. It had a nice homey feel and it wasn't too crowded. We seated ourselves and the waitress came over very soon after and brought us waters. She was very friendly and checked up on us frequently to fill waters/coffee as did another bust boy. Service was very good. I ordered the Nova Scotia benedict - salmon and spinach with a side of fruit... AMAZING. The salmon had just the right amount of flavor and the spinach wasn't over cooked. The fruit was very fresh and sweet but since it was on the same plate as my benedict there was some pieces of fruit that had hollandaise sauce all over it and it was a little weird but I still ate it haha... My friend ordered the corn beef hash benedict and it was also tasty but mine was super! Not the best country potatoes I've had but everything else was very delicious!

I love coming here for breakfast! It's a very casual, laid back breakfast place. I always feel so comfortable when I come here. The waitresses are always super friendly. I also love how they carry the coffee mate creamers. It makes me excited coming here knowing that I can have french Vanilla creamer in my coffee!! The food is delicious as well and such great service. My coffee cup never goes empty because if its not my waitress filling it up, there is someone else doing it.

Heard so many grand things about this place and when I finally had an opportunity to try it, utter disappointment. The omelette was runny, the gravy was old tasting, and everything came out cold. Not a fan.

  • Brian Q.

Great breakfast, super fast service. A little pricey for breakfast. Only negative is the floor is very crowded

  • Cesar T.

I love the breakfast club! Service is fast and friendly! I recommend the fosters FRENCH toast...it's delicious!!!

  • Polly R.

I've decided to bump it to a 4 on account of my last visit. Although my opinion or newly found star generosity means absolutely nothing, I felt compelled because I actually enjoyed my dish. Maybe it was also the good company, but I thought the turkey/avocado eggs benedict hit the spot. The waitress was very attentive, my cup of coffee was never empty (even when I wanted it to be). The potatoes can still use a little work, but that could be personal preference and being a serious potato freak. I don't mess around when it comes to starches. I won't make the mistake of avoiding B-Club again.

The service here was top notch. I wish the food was as good. My friend and I were both disappointed with our greasy breakfast meals. This place had been recommended so it was a let down. Won't be back.

Stopped by here for breakfast on our way to Big Sur. Price was on the expensive side. Italian sausage and biscuit were both a bit dry. Service was efficient with good division of labor (coffee server, bus boy and waitress) and order taking by waitress using electronic keypad. However, the waitress confused our bill with another customer's.

My friend took me here for breakfast because of their name. (I'm a huge 80's fan, especially John Hughes movies.) The food is great! I ordered the Joe's Seaside Scramble. It came with home fries and biscuits and gravy. Our ordered was delivered fast too, which is impressive since they were super busy, packed house and line of people outside waiting to get in. Because of the large portions, I was unable to finish my breakfast. The busser asked if I was done and wanted a to go box and I said yes. He took my plate and disappeared. After 10 minutes, we asked our waitress where he was with out to go box and she said, "We don't box your food for you. We give you a box. He must of misunderstood you. I'm so sorry! Let me give you a half order of your breakfast to go." Cool huh?! But they didn't give me a half order, but a full order! I got to experience the deliciousness 2 days in a row. Very impressed with their customer service. I hope to visit them again someday. Wish they were closer to me!

This place is so good. We came here on the recommendation of a friend. We also checked out the yelp reviews and saw only good things. The workers were very kind and our waitress Rachel was very nice and has great customer service skills. She was very accommodating and helpful with the kids. I ordered the chile verde omelette after seeing a review on yelp. I was a little weary because it was supposed to have carnitas in it and carnitas are usually hit and miss and little places like this. However the omelette was amazing! The carnitas were very juicy and had a lot of flavor. The potatoes were good too with a lot of flavor. I also tried a sausage patty which as not at all dry and very delicious. I don't live in the area but I would definitely come back when I'm back over this way.

  • Craig P.

This place sure had promise but honestly the atmosphere and the food killed it for me. The place was hot and humid inside. I guess muggy would be the best way to describe it. The food is average at best. The place seems to be popular so maybe we are missing something. I would have probably rated this a two star but our waitress was top notch. She was slammed but had it all together.

  • C. R.

It used to be affordable but now it's THE most expensive restaurant in town. 2 sandwiches with 1 frie and 1 drink was $30 and the food was so so definitely not worth the $ --- I'm not kidding .. Not including tip..

  • Coleen S.

Good food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and fabulous service. One or our regular places and absolutely love the staff and home-town atmosphere!

  • A P.

Really enjoyed the food here. I had the corned beef hash eggs Benedict with the eggs poached. It was super delicious. Also tasted the chili verde omelette ... And that was fantastic!! Great flavors all around. So if you're in the area and have a hankering for a delicious breakfast, come here!!

This is a great place, really busy tho. But it is really good. A Monterey best. :) really really good burgers. I always forget about it tho. Since it is in a corner. But every time I go here it is always good

  • M P.

I was excited to come here from all the awesome reviews but this place blows. I got the veggie Benedict and the tomatoes / mushrooms were like taking a bite into soggy socks. The hash browns tasted like cardboard. I'm guessing the only thing that keeps this place afloat is the awesome waitresses and bus boys.

My experience was definitely a 5 star. We were seated right away. Coffee was strong and hot (just how we like it). I ordered the chicken and waffles and my girlfriend ordered the banana nut pancakes. The waffle was a definite 5/5, fluffy and flavorful. The chicken was a little over cooked but I know it's hard to be perfect with every batch, and they give you a drumstick, thigh, and breast which as you would imagine is a whole lot of food (perfect for a guy with a big appetite). My girlfriend banana nut pancakes were amazing, so much flavor and they're massive (she could only eat one). And we were in n out in under 45 minutes, with a line out the door. Will definitely be back my next time in Monterey.

  • Marlee J.

Reminds me of a good old fashion Coney Island from Michigan. I ordered the steak strips with blue cheese which also came with a ice berg wedge recommended by Kevin our waiter. He was super friendly. It cracked me up when I ordered coffee and he asked what kind of creamer I wanted then proceeded to bring out a family size French vanilla creamer. The margaritas were nice, the table got two pitchers. We had a big party and all was great. Looking forward to returning and trying something new.

Recommended to me by a local, Breakfast Club was exactly what we were looking for in a weekly place for my boys and I to grab a homestyle big breakfast! I don't like eggs, but there were many other choices for me (SOS!) One kid picked the cinnamon roll pancake and the other bananas foster French toast, decadent! Service was friendly and fast and the atmosphere was comfortable and fun. Kids liked the revolving screens with ads and funny memes. All around great place. I want to come back for lunch! (Just not today...too full)

    (5)
  • Melissa C.

Well disappointed with this place will not return! Rude waitress who came pushed our food onto our table and rushed away. Never to return! Eventually had to get up to go and pay so I could leave! She came by numerous times and ignored us and continued taking other orders even sitting down at another table. Don't really care how good food was if I can't get decent service I can careless about the food. All this on my fricking birthday nice guys! But no thanks!!!!!

  • Mike T.

Fantastic breakfast fast and tasty! Bring a friend as the omelets are so large you could easily share them!

    (5)
  • Raiza C.

Parking's limited but I got pretty lucky. They share a lot with other businesses so you may have to look around but there's also street parking. This place can get super busy. We went here and were seated after a 5 minute wait, if that--which isn't normal but we got so lucky. We got seated and maybe 2 minutes later, there were maybe 4-5 more parties that came right after us. This was our first time so we were a bit confused about how we put our name down. The hostess wasn't out there to greet us so we figured you just walk in, but no. They have seats outside and coffee for you while you wait for your seat (any place that offers this is a winner in my book, hence the 5 stars)! The staff was so friendly and very attentive. Coffee is ample and they constantly walk around to make sure your cup is always full. The food was great and the wait wasn't long either. I got the veggie omelet and french toast. They were both really good and portions are generous! You get home fries with your order ... very filling! Overall pleasant experience. Everyone here seemed to be enjoying themselves, we even had a large party to the left of us celebrating a birthday which was nice. This place is such a down to earth, family friendly environment and I highly recommend it if you're in the area!

  • Augie H.

The chicken and waffles here are the best. The chicken was beautifully fried and the inside was moist and tender. Although it was a simple meal, they did a great job. The atmosphere in the restaurant is lively and fun and our waiter was very helpful. Overall, great breakfast place.

  • robert d.

They serve SOS... of course I had to get it. We went early so service was very fast. The portions were very large, two people can eat one serving although I tried to finish it with no luck. The home fries were not that great but I am not really a home fry guy anyway so don't base your decision on that. It was affordable and tasted good. Win

Banana's Fosters French toast - THE best French toast I have ever had!! DELICIOUS! Great juice & yummy breakfast burrito

A great place for brunch if you are in the Monterey/Carmel/Seaside area or on your way further south to Big Sur. We were staying at a hotel nearby and grabbed brunch before we changed to go to a friend's wedding in Big Sur. Definitely go early to beat the rush since you can't make reservations and it gets packed quickly. I had the corned beef hash, which was really good and a huge portion. All of their plates are pretty big actually. Service was a nice and friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Quality of food was excellent , fast service, everything fresh and the server was awesome .!

  • Liam D.

From the chicken and waffles to the French toast, there is little to no room for improvement at this joint. Even brought a friend from Turkey here and he now goes back weekly for the chicken and waffles. We have weekly business breakfasts here on Fridays, and every newcomer to the event is blown away by the food and the staff.

Regular American breakfast, nothing special surprised!

  • Angela T.

I went here with my friend and I ordered the Ken omelette. He ordered Huevos Rancheros. It was served quickly but there was a hair on my friends plate...he didn't seem to care at first but as we began eating...we noticed that the quality of the food was pretty bad. After that, the breakfast experience started to really crumble. All the waitresses are nice, good-looking, and seem to enjoy wearing tank tops at 8am but when we got the bill, it turned out to be an easy $30.00. It was a pretty bad experience. They serve you coffee as soon as you sit down, which between two people is like $5.00. Sneaky. I didn't know what I was paying for, mediocre breakfast or the paychecks of mediocre waitresses to just stand around. I don't plan on going back at all.

I like this place, fast service friendly smiles and warm family restaurant. The pancakes are awesome.

  • Faridoon N.

If you are hungry, you will get enough food for good price. I tried Denver omelet, and it was very tasty. The only complaint I have is that their service was not as good as the qualify of food.

  • Danny C.

First time here at breakfast club Fremont first off they a very huge variety of choices of food from breakfast lunch and dinner they we all order one of each breakfast lunch dinner entree. They were absolutely amazing! for me I had the pull pork lunch sandwich and for my gf she had the tuna melt it was mind blowing and the service was to perfecto I would definitely come back again food and service was both on point!

  • Ivy D.

My brother introduced me to the breakfast club a few years ago and I've been coming here ever since! This has been one of his favorite breakfast spots for a while now. I get the corned beef hash Benedict almost every single time I've been here. They have a lot of different options for vegetarians as well, And let me just say... their pancakes are amazinggggg.

  • Eric G.

The last time I ate here was in 2005 and I had the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Fast forward to 2015 when I just moved back to the area. I had the Eggs Benedict again and it was just as good as it was 10 years ago. It was awesome!

  • Joseph P.

I found it really nice that if you're waiting they offer you coffee as you wait outside. The food was delicious and plentiful. A little too much, if you ask me, but that's a typical thing done at diners. The coffee itself was actually part food as well, and I love the pepper sauce they serve in restaurants out here; can't find that in the Midwest! Get an omelette, and try not to load up on everything that comes with. We had the nicest server in Jennifer!

  • Cathi M.

Found this gem via yelp while traveling. The food was great and gluten free item's clearly stated with gf symbols. Arrived about 9 am on sunday had a 10 min wait, when we left there were about 10 parties waiting. I suggest arriving by 9 am to beat the crowd.

  • Langiie D.

it was nice eating breakfast here. It was a bit pricey for breakfast tho. We had two entrées a side of bacon, which cost 4.25 for 4 pieces, Apple juice and coffee for $41. I bit much for what we ate. But overall the food was pretty yummy and service was excellent. Someone was always around to help us.

    (4)
  • Kathleen H.

It's not bad exactly, Not great exactly. Pancakes were very dense. Coffee was fine. One of my poached eggs was hard all the way through, one was perfect. The food was most decidedly edible. If I needed breakfast on the way by here, it's a not brainer to stop in again. No need for a special trip however, methinks.

  • Cobus J.

I brought my wife for brunch, the place was busy but the atmosphere was really nice and the food is just amazing, definitely one of the better breakfast places in the area.. You can not go wrong with the Benedict or omelets...

Good, quick breakfast spot. Not too big, but fast service helps the waiting process. Cinnamon roll French toast was great.

OMG such good breakfast. Order the mexican scramble and my partner had the breakfast burrito. Also had a baby cake. Super good.

This place is fantastic! My husband and I went there this morning for breakfast. When we wentnin, we sat ourselves and a waiter came to.us immediately for a drink order. I had the special: pumpkin french toast. It was very sweet but really good. Three big pieces and I was pretty full after two. My husband got the Italian omelet and he said it was really amazing. He thought the marinara on eggs was strange sounding but he really enjoyed it. The potatoes were a little undercooked but after the omelet, he was so full it wasn't a big deal. Will definitely be back!!

Be prepared for plenty of food. Generous portions, friendly service, and more than just breakfast. And the biscuits are to die for.

Some really good food! Portions are large even for kids meals. Staff was nice and food came out fairly quickly, which surprised me because it was on a Sunday morning.

Yelp has a 4-star rating for this restaurant, which I think is highly over-rated. My husband and I decided this restaurant must be the local hang out, but really, I'm not sure why. Because on this morning, we had to check out of our hotel, we got to the restaurant a little later than we wanted to (10 am). It was packed and people were standing in the street waiting to be seated. There is no seating available outside (or in - as far as I could see) and you sign your name on the waiting list - not the hostess. Apparently, it was supposed to be a 15-minute wait, but we waited 20-25 minutes. Our waitress was friendly and bubbly. My husband and I ordered the same thing, their French toast special: which was 2 slices of French toast, 2 eggs and 2 slices of bacon. We ordered a side of hash browns. I asked for crispy bacon and hash browns. When I got my food, I had one crispy piece of bacon and one not so crispy (it folded over when I held it up). The hash browns were crispy only on the very top. The coffee was really strong even with 2 sugars (which I never use) and 3 creamers, so I didn't really enjoy it. I didn't like the syrup, it tasted funny. Although the food was okay, it wasn't my favorite and it was really expensive. For the two breakfast meals, a side of hash browns, a coffee and orange juice, it was $37! Yikes. You get that much food and more at IHOP for $26!

  • Miranda H.

Always enjoy a good meal here. I love their large menu. There are things to suit everyone's taste in our family. I usually get one of their eggs benedict. The club benedict is delicious. The option to sub fruit instead of potatoes is also a wonderful bonus.

  • Danielle C.

My 1st time here, was surprised to see how busy it was for a Monday. Service was ok considering how busy it was. I was also surprised to find out that they have a gluten free menu. I ordered the waffle special which was pretty tasty. The atmosphere is very casual. I do wish they provided WiFi tho.

  • Alexandros A.

The food and atmosphere is very pleasant. I had a huge breakfast burrito that was delicious and humongous. The food came relatively quick and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely stop by next time we are in the area.

  • Luke W.

Great service, extensive menu. Only downside is it's a bit pricey. Wait wasn't too bad on a holiday weekend and they had coffee outside for those waiting to be seated. Will be back for sure!

    (4)
  • Serena U.

Not much on the menu with seafood - one dish with salmon and a side of calamari. At least for breakfast. I had one big pancake with mixed fruit - good amount of fruit. Lots of strawberries, quite a few blueberries, and a good number of raspberries. I also used some of the jam on the table - Bonne Maman - delicious. Pancake itself was good - boring white flour - but that is my prejudice. Coffee was fine/unremarkable. Egg was good/unremarkable. Service was quick, attentive and friendly. Looks like a place for locals. I'd come back.

  • Dan W.

I'm going to give this place 2 stars, but only because the food wasn't bad. I'm not really sure why it gets such high ratings. It is overpriced and over-hyped. When we arrived on a Sunday the place wasn't overly busy so we immediately got a seat. The wait staff was friendly but incredibly slow. I can't imagine what it would have been like if it was busy. While we were waiting to order I saw the only two waitresses that were working sitting up at the counter eating their breakfast. Now, I understand, people get hungry, even employees, but do I need to see you sit there stuffing your face while I'm still waiting to order? The food was only average and way over priced. I ordered a Denver omelette (sort of...I wanted no onions and tomatoes instead...so that constituted a "build it yourself" omelette and increased the price by $2). My wife ordered the corned beef hash Benedict....I also ordered a grapefruit juice. No coffee, no special extras, just those three items. The total was almost $40. That's ridiculous for breakfast...especially if it wasn't "curl your toes, come to Jesus and make you weak in the knees" breakfast. There are so many places to go in Monterey for breakfast, don't waste your time with this place. Until they start charging based on what they are serving you are wasting your time. Go to Black Bear Diner. You'll be fuller, happier, on your way sooner, and have more money left in your pocket once you are done stuffing your face.

Was back in the area after a few years gone and still give it a 5 star. Ordered the Roger Omelet which was full of great tasting bacon, tomatoes and avocados. My wife had the pancakes and others had similar....all are huge portions and tasted great. Service at the place is always really quick and really friendly. Stay away from tourist places and drive over here it is worth it.

OMG This is the place for mini Ox's and Littler heifers to eat at. The portions are LARGE. Burgers are really good. Breakfast is even better. Its kind busy so I always order to go. Service is fast and friendly even on take out orders. The place is clean and nicely staffed. They do get busy, but mainly during lunch and mid breakfast time.

  • Jennifer S.

I HAD THE BEST BENEDICT HERE, AND I NEED TO TELL THE WORLD ABOUT IT. I had the crab cake and avocado Benedict, and it was the best Benedict I have ever had. I enjoy Benedicts, and order them often. The eggs were perfectly poached, the crab cake was delicious and crispy, and the Hollandaise was very tasty. I would definitely go back and enjoy this Benedict again and again. Also, the home fries are fantastic, but really, you have to try this Benedict.

  • Chris K.

Just had an amazing breakfast at the breakfast club! Awesome lightning fast service! (Although she forgot to bring me my chocolate milk I didn't notice bc the food was so good) had French toast, eggs, and bacon. I will definitely go back if I'm in Monterey again

It's a real popular place with some tasty breakfast options. We went on a very busy day. The waitress was nice and the food was ok I would recommend this place if you are in the area. I had the eggs Benedict.

Good food, fresh and well prepared. Friendly staff. Chicken and waffles so good they will haunt your dreams. Yes, that good. Slap your mama good. Last meal before execution good. Just try it.

  • Adam C.

Went in at 9:15 and there was one table open, this is a good thing because if it's filled, it must be good. We got Corned Beef Hash and a Breakfast burrito. Corn Beef Hash, it's homemade not from a can! It was tender and so moist, they are little chucks of beef. I finished in no time flat :) Breakfast burrito, flavorful and they toasted it to add texture. We added sausage and that was the kicker. Fruit... OMG ripe, sweet and they add bananas to their mixed fruit, many places don't have that so that was another kicker. A little more than expected to pay but you get what you pay for here, quality food.

  • Adeelah B.

The French toast special is hella good. The French toast was perfectly seasoned so were the eggs and the bacon was perfectly made. Good place to visit. Just a little pricey. French toast special, coffee and fruit on the side came out to $20. Could be a bit less.

Very friendly service! I had steak, my friend tried the chicken and waffles. Both dishes were served promptly and were delicious of course! Will try breakfast next time (Definitely coming again).

Super Fresh & Hot Food with Great Service! Little neighborhood BOOM STOP for BREAKFAST/LUNCH specialties! This place needs a revolving door to be sure. Super-friendly, super-busy yummy breakfast treats like bananas foster french-toast and the best eggs benedict around. They also have daily specials that sound amazing like cheese-cake french toast. The servers are sweet and always greet us with a genuine smile. The 'sit-anywhere you like' atmosphere is cozy and understated, perfect for a lazy, low-key Sunday breakfast or late lunch. My solitary issue with The Breakfast Club is when I order the chai latte. I order it every time I visit (because it's so, so good) and most of the time, it shows up 20 minutes into our experience. The last time I ordered it, they forgot to bring it all together. They make it to-order and it does take about 8-10 minutes under normal circumstances. To be fair, this place is always hopping with a wait-list out the door so it's understandable in a way. But still, I enjoy the chai latte and have learned to order an additional tea with it just in case I never see the latte during the meal.

  • Camille G.

First off I would like to say that we have been coming to the Breakfast Club for YEARS! We love the breakfast (its the best) and we love the waitresses who have been there for years. HOWEVER recently we witnessed a older employee berating and yelling at a younger waitress behind the counter and it was very off-putting. I was astounded that this woman who was clearly in management would treat her staff that way infront of the customers. I'm pretty sure it wasnt the owner because I see her there often. Also we have our fingers crossed that the evening cooks get it together. The food seems different at night, obviously its different cooks. Go for breakfast!!!! Steer clear of the older lady with black hair and too much eyeliner. Try the eggs benedict!

  • Richard B.

If pancakes and waffles are your game, you probably just hit pay dirt in Monterey. This place is awesome in the options, and look for the innovative daily specials. My off the menu waffles came with Deep Cherry Sauce, a first. It is the work of the devil.

A great place to stop by to eat. It's a clean and friendly environment. Breakfast here is crazy!!! If you're not a big eater one breakfast can feed two people.

  • Cameron Z.

My boyfriend and I both ordered the Belgium waffle with eggs, bacon, and sausage. We also ordered a side of curly fries. The eggs and curly fries were excellent, but the waffle was as bland as could be. The food did not stick out enough to make us want to go back again. Aside from the food, the staff is what made my experience bad. There were at least five different employees who were eating right in front of the guests. Not only is it unprofessional, it is disgusting. One woman was eating a watermelon, which is impossible to eat without dripping. Then a server was holding the rim of the coffee holder (the part that the coffee pours through to get into our cups). So gross! I did not see any of them wash their hands between eating (WITH THEIR HANDS, no utensils) and serving. I lost my appetite before I even got through half of my meal. I am a BIG fan of eating, so that says a lot.

A good diner with some great service. Came here with a large group, and they really made sure to accommodate all our needs. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because of the service. Food: 3/5. I got corned beef hash with biscuits and gravy. The corned beef hash tasted mediocre, and did not have much meat, mostly vegetables and mushroom. I was a bit disappointed with how dry the biscuits were; the gravy was ok. I can say that the rest of my group enjoyed their meals so maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Service: 4/5. Our waitress was very attentive, and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. She even volunteered to give us all separate checks, which I definitely appreciate. This is where the restaurant shines. Atmosphere: 3/5. A very eclectic interior here. Kinda tacky, but you don't come to a place like this expecting amazing interior design. Lots of families around, and the place was pretty packed.

We came to Monterey for a weekend getaway. Upon our arrival into the city, this was our first stop for brunch...an early Friday afternoon. Mushroom, Swiss, and Spinach Omelet, 4 stars I ordered this meal with egg whites, whole wheat toast, and fruit. Everything was yummy. The omelet was rather large as well. Fruit was of great quality, fresh and sweet. Chicken Fried Steak with Biscuits & Gravy, 4 stars Husband had this meal with two sunnyside up eggs and home fries. Water, 1 star Tasted like faucet water Service was unbelievably quick. Our food came out so fast that it was literally as if they already knew what we were going to order the second we walked in. Whenever we come back to the area, we'll definitely be stopping by!

Great affordable breakfast! Cozy atmosphere and good service! There are plenty of vegetarian options and you can sub fresh fruit for potatoes! Good kids meal selection. Nice hot tea selection as well.

We had lunch monday, it was very good, so was service. Wednesday we had breakfast, it was a disaster, eggs over cooked had to be replaced, has browns were a bust, toast burned. Way over priced for what we got. Going, back not if I have a choice

I've been hearing/seeing lately a lot of people talking this place up, and I have to wonder what people are giving the high marks for. This place is mediocre at best in every single area (except for the waitresses, who were pretty fit). Service here was just okay, but maybe that's because they were very busy for the daily brunch rush. Who knows. But what I did notice is me sitting at the bar waiting to give my order (hands clasped on the counter and looking at my server), and the obvious regular coming in after me and still getting tended to first. (They knew him by first name as soon as he sat... Definitely a regular.) Honestly, my food was not great. Hash browns were dry with little flavor, and my Benedict had a bland taste - which is disappointing because hollandaise is easy to do and difficult to mess up having that rich, creamy delicious flavor. But they did it. (smh.) That said, the price for such a simple dish was not right. With tip, I paid roughly $20 for the Benedict and coffee. I would've rather dropped that money elsewhere, and that's what I plan to do.

Totally solid breakfasts, especially the cinnamon roll pancakes, but I can't handle eating there because of the ads EVERYWHERE. Even the table isn't a safe place to look. If I want to be bombarded by advertising while I eat, I'll eat in front of the tv. Update: thanks to a change in tabletops, I can eat there again :) this is highly reliable diner food. A great place to eat!

Good breakfast food. Had the eggs, potatoes,, Italian sausage and toast. Huge portions. The kid's plate for my son had two fried eggs. Place was full and service was pretty attentive.

While it is a bit pricey for breakfast, the homestyle food was good and the service was friendly and quick. I ordered the Annie's breakfast and thought it was very good. Very busy on the weekends. Also, they have combined with Phat Burger, since Phat Burger was unable to renew its lease, and now offer dinner!

Stopped in by accident. Wow. Were we pleasantly surprised. There menu had a wide variety of items and from looking at the breakfasts being served in front of us, I could tell we were in for a treat. I had the Eggs Benedict with ham ( they had 5 different types) and it was fantastic. The poached eggs were prepared perfectly with just the right amount of hollandaise sauce. We came back the next morning and I ordered the traditional eggs and bacon. Although a standard breakfast, I like my eggs sunny side up ( which most place always overcook or give you over easy) and bacon soft. they again cooked it perfectly with an excellent brand of smoked bacon. I don't give many 5 stars, especially to a breakfast place, but this establishment without a doubt earned it.

I don't know why I haven't written a review on this place...as I've been going here for over 6 years. Simply put when I want a good breakfast or lunch without worry about the quality...this is the place hands down. Consistently good quality food, every single time. Service is always fast and friendly, and watch your coffee cup...because it seemly magically refills after even a single sip. I've yet to eat anything from their menu that at it's worst is still simply good! Always make sure to check out their specials when you go in...because you'll find some interesting and unique items that will certainly be very tasty. On weekends, prepare for a bit of a wait...as the place is usually packed. Though, with their fast service...the table turn-over is fairly quick...I think the longest wait I've had was 25 mins on an especially busy day. This is the best breakfast in the Monterey Bay area...and one of the better lunch places too.

Really good breakfast place that we stumbled upon in Seaside! Went there on New Year's Day because we were meeting a friend from that area and places in Hollister were closed. Soooo glad we did! My mother-in-law ordered the Banana Foster French toast and it was sooooo flipping good. I don't like eating sweet stuff for breakfast, but I will make an exception for that. I ordered the Ron's Omelet which had all my fave things: sour cream, avocado and bacon. That poor omelet didn't know what was coming. Not sure what the other peeps were talking about the potatoes being under seasoned. Mine were perfect that went well with the rest of the items on my plate. What a good and delicious way to start the year. : )

Great food and super friendly staff! My fiance and I have been coming here often for breakfast and have always had a good experience. The one time they accidentally put bacon in my breakfast burrito (I'm a vegetarian but wasn't a bag deal at all ) they were so apologetic and got me a new one right away. Will definitely keep coming back.

My family and I came here since it was down the street from our hotel. We got there around 10am on Sunday and it was packed. I considered going somewhere else when I saw that they had put out a big coffee dispenser set up with all the fixing and REAL mugs by the door next to the waiting list. I poured a cup, took a sip, and it convinced me to stay. The coffee was extremely good. Hell, it was excellent. Not the roach bath water at the chain fast food places. We were fourth on the listed and waited a total of 10 minutes. The place isn't big but their solution is that they're extremely efficient. They don't rush customers out, they just make sure you sit fast and get served fast. The wait staff is fairly young so I was impressed by their service. They're very courteous and work as a team. I asked 4 different servers at one time or another for things and they never gave me the "I'll get your sever for you" line that you get everywhere else. The place is not cheap but it's not expensive either. I think it's very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Their food looks and tastes homemade and I guess it's because it is. Their biscuits and gravy were really excellent and the steak and eggs I ordered were cooked exactly as I ordered them. My wife ordered a waffle and it was huge and delicious. I forgot what we got for the baby but she was given crayons and some coloring paper by the wait staff as soon as we sat down. Champs. I tend to be wary of some local places as they are not always the most friendly and I tend to avoid possible interaction with redneckyness when traveling but my suspicion was unfounded. The Breakfast Club was very diverse with locals, tourists, bikers (with and without club jackets), surfers, hippies, college students, Latinos, young and old, etc. It's a friendly place with a nice vibe that you could make a commercial about using Garrison Keeler's voice. Incidentally, a biker at the next table asked us very politely if he could borrow the hot sauce. I don't know if his name was "Slayer" and he rode with the "Executioners" or if his name was "Executioner" and he rode with "Slayers" but he had manners that would have impressed the Queen of England. Probably not the best thing to call him out on but given his exceptional etiquette, I'm only expecting a mild note of rebuke possibly written in elegant calligraphy delivered by his butler.

We went to this restaurant based on Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed. When we showed up, we were worried, the line was out the door. However when we were told there was a 30 minute wait, we were then asked if we wanted to sit at the counter and we're seated immediately. The service was outstanding. Every server acted like they were there to help us, not just our own. I ordered the Dungeness crab cakes Eggs Benedict. It was delicious, however, it was very heavy food. So come hungry! We will be returning here soon.

I really wanted to like this better due to the friendly staff, quaintness and business model which centered around advertising local goods and services by having a large screen monitor cycle through the various ads (which were on each table as well). I ordered the chorizo and egg plate with homefries and a turkey and avocado eggs Benedict dish to go for the missus. The chorizo eggs were OK (albeit hard to screw up here) but the homefries were horrible and looked as if they were scrapped from the bottom of a tired skillet (fused together with a scab like covering). Both were under seasoned for my tastes. The eggs Benedict dish (again with the home fries) were enjoyed more by my wife and 7 year old son but I had to ask for utensils and napkins (maybe they thought I bought it for my dog). I had to ask the busboy for coffee.

Great place to have breakfast. Eat here 2 or 3 times a month. Friendly staff and their menu can satisfy any appetite. My coffee mug is never empty when i visit. Try the crab cake and avacado eggs benedict (my favorite), or the corn beef hash.

Delicious! I'm so happy I found this place through yelp. I came on a weekday so thankfully there was no wait. The place still had a lot of people considering it was a weekday. We started with some coffee which was not the best coffee, but it was decent. The servers were very good about keeping my mug filled with my caffeine goodness. I had the banana fosters french toast and I absolutely loved it. It was really sweet, but that's the way I like it. The warm fresh bananas were also a really nice touch. I added some scrambled eggs on the side, but I didn't like them so much since it had a very creamy taste to it. They probably add half and half or cream to their scrambled eggs and I think it was too much. I didn't mind though because I was enjoying my french toast so much. My friend had the denver omelette which was also really good . I liked the homestyle potatoes too. If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely come back just for the banana foster french toast!

IT'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONA DIE!!!! yeah, that's the description i have for their pancake. This place seriously has the best pancake i've ever had, it's huge, fluffy and pillowy when you bite into it, it's like a mouthful of heaven exploding with softness, soo yummmmmy!!! i actually got a veggie omelette with spicy gravy and biscuit, despite what others said about their biscuit, i don't find it very good, the gravy isn't really spicy and it's not as flavorful as i thought it would be. and i got a side order of their original cake, and that's seriously the highlight of my breakfast, it's THE. BEST. PERIOD.! my friend got a corn beef hash scramble with hash brown. but he's not a big fan of their hash brown because it doesn't have much flavor. but he says the scramble is pretty good PS. come here early, we came here on a sunday around 8:40 in the morning and there's no line we got to sit down right away, but by the time we leave (around 9:30), there's already a LOT of people waiting outside to get in!

Super friendly staff. Fresh, made-to-order food. They will accommodate any dietary requests. What can I say? This place is great! The Banana's Fosters French Toast is sinfully amazing. The omelets are huge and are served with great potatoes. They always have a fresh selection of berries to add to your pancakes or waffles. My Mom and I try to go here once a week for breakfast and I am always left craving their food when we skip a week!

In an ideal world, I would move back to Monterey solely for the purpose of spending my mornings at The Breakfast Club. Free coffee while you wait outside for your table, the service is quick, prices are not too high, the food is phenomenal every time (I'm talking over a period of years here) - and consistency is big in my book. My faves on the menu are the Juevos Rancheros, Annie's breakfast and the Bran Cakes. This spot is always on my to-do list when I'm in town!

By far the best breakfast place you can come to in seaside. They are fast. (Even if there is a wait, it's not long) Friendly. Very nice waitresses and bussers. And the food is great! My favorite thing to get is the cinnamon roll french toast. What is that you ask??? Cinnamon rolls dipped in egg and fried like french toast. OMG! Do good. Very decent portions for the prices. And you don't have to wait around for your check. The waitresses usually brings it to you before you are done eating, adding to how fast the service is. And you are checked on frequently. However, if you are looking for a slow and quiet breakfast you may not like this place.

Nice joint tucked in the back of a strip mall. If my wife didn't have hawk eyes we would have drove right by. Inside is typical diner ambience. We ordered the huevos rancheros, corned beef has, kids ham and egg omelette, kids pancake and bacon and a fruit bowl. Two coffee and two orange juice. Total was $54. Value was okay as portions were generous and everything was tasty. We were surprised that there was no meat in the huevos rancheros. Home fries tasted like they weren't cooked enough. Service was quick and friendly. Two misses were they forgot to bring us water when requested half way through the meal and they brought the wrong check at first. No biggie... Would recommend this when in Monterey or Seaside.

Nice place for breakfast and lunch. - Excellent service (our waitress checked on us frequently but not in an annoying manner and was totally on top of her shit!) - Plenty of parking and tables/seats - Extensive menu for breakfast (The waffles looked amazing.. and the pancakes were thick and fluffy.. didn't get to try cause I wasn't that hungry) - AWESOME french fries. Well-seasoned and irresistable. - Prices seem a bit steep for some eggs... $8-$12 per entree (considering Alley Cafe in Pinole has amazing prices and ginormous portions) but they give you alot of food. I'll be back if I'm in the area.

I grew up in Monterey and came here regularly back in the day. Can't believe it's still here and booming! The interior has a light and open feel and even though the place was packed, it had great energy. Our waitress gave great service for our needs. They have an extensive breakfast menu of pancakes, eggs benedict, waffles, french toast, and on and on. I decided on their "Ron" omellete which consisted of bacon, tomato, chedder cheese, topped with avocado and sourcream. I substituted sausage instead of bacon. It came with home fries and I got their biscuit and spicy gravy instead of toast. The omellete was excellent. It was flavorful and filling. The potatoes were pretty good, but don't get their biscuit and gravy. It was bland tasting. I took one bite and didn't touch it again. Their coffee was good. I would recommend this place if you are passing through this great city.

Excellent quality service and food and good value (for Monterey Peninsula). Breakfasts are their mainstay with plenty of food for the price. Many locals and military eat here. Lunch is also great. Great burgers you dress yourself at a "salad bar" - from their experience at Phat Burger. Also creative sandwiches and salads. Happy to see they're offering dinner. Looked at the dinner menu and next time I intend to try the tails of filet of beef. At less than $15 it is the best buy on the Peninsula. Many employees are family so they care. Don't overlook this gem located in the back of a strip mall.

I really enjoy the breakfast here a lot, but the phrase "Patience is a virtue" will definitely be something that'll be on your mind here. It's nearly impossible to get seats on the weekend. Unless you are willing to wait for a while. There's usually 10 people waiting outside to be seated. The nice part is that you can enjoy a hot cup of coffee while you wait, but for people who don't drink coffee, like myself, the waiting can get pretty unbearable. Once you're seated, be prepared for a crowded area, with at least 5 or 6 waiters walking around. There's very little space so it can get pretty loud. The food is pretty great though. I usually get the eggs Benedict on crab cakes, which is really rich, so be prepared to share!! Especially because the portions are HUGE! The waffles are pretty great too, be sure to get them with raspberries! I would definitely recommend this place!!

This is the place to go if you are really into quality food and excellent service at fair prices, but don't need to have an over the top ambience kind of place. We usually get the omelettes, which have a wide selection on ingrediants, and with amazingly fresh veggies. You will never have to chase the server here either. Prompt and friendly.

Being a new resident of Seaside I have been continuously disappointed by the Restaurants offered here. The Breakfast Club changed everything!! It is THE best breakfast of Seaside. I come here about once a week and always forget to check in on Yelp because the service is so fast! Well, partially because I am not an avid Yelper with check-in habits, but you really would not believe the service times! You are instantly greeted and your drink order is taken within a minute of sitting down. Very nice waitresses who give great service and never keep you waiting. The cooks don't keep you waiting either, literally it is normal for our food to come out about 5 mins (or even less) after ordering! Occasionally a minuet longer, but typically NEVER more than 10 minuets here. The food was tasty enough for me, and a few friends, to give up the old favorite, First Awakenings! It was easy to say goodbye to their hour long weekend waits, and 20+ minuets for your breakfast. AMAZING French Toast! I can never get away from ordering it! If i do, I like the lunch specials and burgers.. if im doing breakfast it is always, always, always the FRENCH TOAST! So good and about 10+ choices of fruits to make your toast for you, also including a whole Cinnamon Roll French Toast! I usually get a Banana Nut French Toast Special with scrambled eggs and bacon. Better for breakfast, but still a good lunch. Do not come here if you are looking for a quite place because it is a busy restaurant. Come here early on the weekends because there is often a wait. If you haven't tried it yet, do your self a favor and try it. If you have, do yourself a favor, and come back. :) All in all, great spot for really quick, great and reliable breakfast.

Normally I would give this place 5 stars but due to the way I was treated today I can't give 0...... I walked in with a friend waited for 5 min and no one assisted us, two people walked in ahead of us and they seated them right away..... I come here quite a bit because the food is great but after today, I can find a new breakfast spot where customers that go in regularly will be treated better....

I'm disappointed with my first trip to The Breakfast Club. I ordered chorizo and eggs which came with potatoes and a biscuit n gravy. The chorizo and eggs had an adequate flavor when combined with some salsa or pepperplant, but they weren't served very warm. The potatoes were bland, the biscuit was good, and the gravy wasn't warm enough. The service was fine though. Maybe I caught The Breakfast Club off guard, but I can't recommend this place especially when you pay over $10.50 for any dish with eggs. Locals can find other places with better quality for a dollar or two cheaper.

We met our friend here for breakfast. None of us has ever been before so we didn't know what to expect. When we got there it was already pretty packed. The servers will yell out for you to sit anywhere so that's just what we did. I wasn't feeling all that great but I was hankering for eggs benedict. I asked hubby if he wanted to share. The young man got his own breakfast of eggs, bacon and French toast and our friend got the ham, scrambled eggs and home fries. Portions are HUGE.... and I mean HUGE. I'm glad I shared the eggs benedict because there was no way I could've eaten that entire thing even if I was feeling 100%. Our friend struggled with his breakfast and even shared his ham with the young man. Only the young man managed to put his kid's breakfast away. The eggs benedict was superbly awesome!! Eggs were poached to perfection! We also got a fruit bowl which consisted of a colorful array of strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, melon, raspberries and bananas. Service was friendly and swift. We stayed longer than usual to chat with our friend and they didn't rush us at all. The table next to us ordered a 1/2 order of SOS and when it arrived I couldn't believe how huge it was. I shudder to think what a full sized portion would be. I asked if I could take a photo of his SOS. The poor guy ate 1/4 of his SOS and had to take the rest to go. Share your meals if you come here because you won't be able to finish it. Hubby had coffee and said that their coffee was super strong and very flavorful. I'll take his word on it.

The service was fantastic. The food was really good, however the price, for breakfast.. was expensive. I suggest serve less food, since it was a lot, and charge less. Seems a waste to either toss away the food or take home a box (which has to be tossed out too). Just sayin..

I have been coming here since I was a kid, and I have always loved the place. The one con is that the prices are a bit steep for breakfast food and lunch food, but the food is tasty! I have had just about everything on their menu, from their corned beef hash (benedict, scramble and two egg b-fasts) to their omelettes (the Denver, Ron's and Italian are AMAZING and huge), the breakfast burrito (huge and delicious), all of their benedicts (Turkey and avocado is amazing), french toast (all of them are HUGE and heavenly) and pancakes (fluffy and decadent!). Like I said, prices are a bit high and can add up quickly if you sub things out, but it's worth it every once in a while! I heard they are now doing dinner, can't wait to come try it!!

This place was amazing. The staff is very nice and extremely attentive, which is greatly appreciated. It's so hard to find an attentive wait staff these days, but this place is a wonderful exception. The food was well prepared and out quickly. Considering how busy they were we were pleasantly surprised. The menu has a great variety of choices, even healthier options for those watching their calorie count. If you're in the Monterey area I highly recommend the breakfast club.

Can't figure out how this is rated 4-stars. This was my first visit and there is plenty to choose from on the menu. I figured I couldn't go wrong with the Breakfast Burrito but boy was I wrong!! It was awful! The way it is served you can't eat it with your hands, the tortilla shell is tough to cut and the burrito falls apart when you cut into it, and overall it lacks flavor. I was highly disappointed to say the least. I'm giving it 2 stars because the service was quick, my server was friendly, and they offered international delight creamers with the coffee.

My sister and I happened to be in town for a concert and decided to stop by The Breakfast Club to fill up before driving 4 hours home. Situated in a small shopping center, The Breakfast Club doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food inside is a whole different story of AWESOME. The menu is large and has plenty of options for those who are peckish, to hungry, to starving & beyond, as well as vegetarian items, lighter items, and even lunch and dinner. My sister and I both ordered the two-eggs any way (we got scrambled) with bacon, homefries, and a biscuit with spicy gravy on the side (this is the meal -- we didn't add anything to it!). The food came VERY quickly and was prepared to perfection. The bacon was crispy, chewy, and utterly delightful. The eggs were scrambled perfectly: fluffy, buttery and soft without those gross overcooked bits that sometimes show up. The homefries were crispy but still had some softness inside of the potato, and were seasoned SO nicely -- I normally drown mine in ketchup, but I ate these plain since they were so phenomenally spiced. And the biscuit and gravy was to die for! You can tell the biscuits are house-made since they're fluffy and flaky, and the spicy gravy has a nice kick that separates it from your average sausage gravy. Had I had a bigger appetite, I would have also ordered the French Toast or Waffle which both looked DIVINE (I saw it on other diner's tables). The Huevos Rancheros also looked phenomenal; cheesy and topped with fresh avocado -- can't get better than that. Best of all, this hearty meal filled us up for our entire 4-hour drive and when we got home, we were already craving the biscuit and gravy again! The only issue with this place is that it isn't closer to Sacramento -- so looks like I'll need to check out homes in Seaside! Thanks, The Breakfast Club! You guys ROCK!!

this review is strictly for the chicken and waffles, which were not good. I prefer my fried chicken crispy on the outside and juicy inside. This was crispy and tough. Waffles with chicken should be crispy as well, but light, maybe with a cornmeal batter. this was dense.

We were in town because my husband was a teacher at the Army Language School (now the Defense Language Institute) in Monterey sixty years ago and we had a celebration of his service there. We spent the night in Monterey and then, in the morning, he wanted to have breakfast in Seaside because he lived there when he was teaching at the base. So, I went on to Yelp and the YP and found this place. There were only two of us and the "hostess" took us to a table right inside and next to the front door. The table wasn't in the best location but the weather was nice so, I thought, why not? It wouldn't hurt under those circumstances to sit right next to the open door... The only thing is is that the two-top table had obviously been used by only one person before us because all of the condiments were piled up on the opposite side of the table where the other person's place setting would be. In other words, there was NO ROOM for place settings for TWO people because of the way the table and the chairs were positioned. That didn't seem to matter to the hostess, however. She just set the menus down and walked off. I was stunned. It was like welcoming someone into your home and then walking them into a closet. One should NEVER have to make room for oneself when being seated in a restaurant. It is the job of the servers to make the customers (guests) feel welcome. My husband had gone to the restroom and wasn't ready to sit down yet so, when she came back by our table AGAIN on her way to check the waiting people/list outside, I asked her, rather indignantly, "WHO is going to make room for my husband so he can sit down and have his breakfast when he gets back?" She said, without looking at me or slowing down and totally insincerely, "I will come back and make room for him." There was something so "empty" about this girl's attitude and from someone was supposed to be serving people. I felt immediately she was NEVER coming back...and I was right; she never did. She took the next set of people to their table and just kept right on going to the back of the restaurant. I sat there and watched her while she walked by us several times without acknowledging me. In fact, she was ignoring making eye contact with me because she was clearly NOT interested. Since SHE sat us down, SHE should have cleared a place for us RIGHT THEN and made us BOTH feel welcome. Instead, I felt completely disrespected and unwelcome. What would have happened if my husband HAD sat down right away? Would he have had to sit behind a LARGE assortment of condiments and packages?? So, I moved all of them out of the way: Pepper sauce, ketchup, tabasco sauce, jellies in a jar, sugars in another container, a gift card advertisement, a container with creamers in it and the salt and pepper...I SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO DO THAT MYSELF. After she had come by AGAIN without acknowledging me, I said to her, "Thank you so much for coming back as you said you would and making room for my husband, as you said you would do..." She said, again without even looking over and with body language that signaled that she didn't give a damn, "I'm sorry I didn't get to do that for you..." Huh? She didn't "get to"? She didn't even TRY. She obviously had NO intention of ever coming back and could have cared less. That was obvious when she said it the first time. Her name is Sondra. She just started working there two weeks ago, according to the employee I asked for her name. I had to ask because "Sondra" was the ONLY employee in the entire restaurant who wasn't wearing a name tag. Maybe that was intentional so then people like me wouldn't know what name to give management to complain about on the survey that is set on every table. Melina was our server. She was fantastic. She was very attentive, caring, sweet, made eye contact, gave us fast service, and was a pleasure to deal with. Clemente was "all over us" in a good way with a big smile, great personality, coffee pot to refill our coffees constantly and Logan was also very polite and attentive. And then there was Sondra. Or Cassandra. Or whatever her name is. She was a turd in the punchbowl of this otherwise very packed and happening restaurant. If management doesn't keep an eye on her, she's going to sink their strong online ratings like a lead balloon. I just couldn't give this place four or five stars because of her. When we were leaving, she said, "Have a nice day," with a tone like, "Don't let the door hit you on your way out." After the way our experience began, it felt completely insincere for her to even speak to us again as if everything was ok. She knew it wasn't. It's just a job to her: Check people off the list, take them to an empty table, go back to the front, see who else is waiting, check them off the list...She is NOT a "hostess." She's a liability to this restaurant and it takes a lot of gall for someone in her position to behave this way AT ALL, let alone after only two weeks on the job.

Really loved the atmosphere here. The staff gives you that warm, old fashioned vive. The food was great and the French Toast is so good, you don't even need syrup or butter. Got there on a busy Thursday morning, sat immediately, and the food came out in like 7 mins.

I've had this location bookmarked for a while. Let's say about 4 months. I've been hesitant to try it because it's located in a strip mall. Boy was I disappointed not trying it sooner! The breakfast club is amazing! Went in on a Sunday around noon and there was a few people waiting outside for a table. We wrote down our name and waited. Probably 5-10 until we were offered a table at the counter. SCORE! Why wait even more when you can order food NOW. Tisha was our super friendly server. Right away asked if we wanted anything to drink. Wow I already love this place. Don't have to catch a server to get our attention. Ordered eggs Benedict original style and my hubby ordered crab cake Benedict's with avocado. Also a couple of sides, fruit cup, bacon and a few pancakes. I got my fruit cup within minutes and by the time I was done eating it our amazingly and large portion breakfast came out. This is our spot!! We couldn't eat everything we had to take leftovers. Local hidden spot! Try it out! You won't disappointed! Go now go!!!

This place is A-OK in my book. There are other breakfast places on the peninsula that are better. They serve standard breakfast fare here and nothing stands out as being horrible or amazing. I do like that they have hot coffee waiting outside for you as you wait for breakfast. This place is always packed on the weekends so be prepared to wait.

I came here one time with a friend. Staff was friendly and the portions were large. I just didn't like we were seated at a table with syrup on it and walking in it immediately felt dirty. My shoes were sticking to the carpet. Might as well have went to Denny's.

The service was really fast, so this is a good place to go if you're in a rush. The staff was also pretty nice. The portions were a decent size as well. The food itself, however, was just average. I'd come here again if I needed to have an early breakfast, but I'm not side if I would if there were other options open.

BEST SERVICE. BEST APPLE CIDER. AWESOME PORTIONS. My boyfriend and I spent our anniversary at Monterey Bay and I swear we talked about this place more than we did the Aquarium and Cannery Row! THAT'S SAYING SOMETHING!

Our friend just moved to Seaside - when we came to visit he took us to this wonderful Breakfast Club for DINNER last night. It was one of the most pleasant experiences i have had in a restaurant in a long long time. First, it was very clean!!! and the service was impeccable, the wine selection is great (and very affordable), and the Food was delicious and abundant. It is a family business, run by a very happy family, and after a few minutes there we felt like family too. We are going back for dinner this evening to enjoy another wonderful meal with them. Their menu is extensive, seafood to die for, and tonight we are going to try the steak, i hear it is really good too.

This restaurant is so consistently great! Every time...they have GREAT service, GREAT food, and you can tell they really care about your experience because they offer a survey for you to fill out at the end rating your experience. 5 stars all the way. Best ma and pop shop for breakfast in Monterey county!

It's a perfect sized meal and isn't too expensive. The potatoes that come with the meal are good and so are their omelets. You seat yourself which was different from what I'm used to but it does not mean they don't have acknowledgement of you there. They have tons of different combinations which is good for those thinking there isn't much variety.

Stopped by for some breakfast, kind of strange to find this place in a strip mall but don't let that detour you from having a great meal with quick and friendly service. Had the French toast, with eggs and bacon. All were spot on and very good. I had the home fries as a extra item and they were rather plain. I would have given this place 5 stars but the home fries do need some work.

When it comes to breakfast, it is really hard for me to get excited and that much harder to be impressed. I tend to order savory vs sweet things for breakfast just because the sweetness can become overwhelming. This time around I decided to try the Italian Omelet (mild Italian sausage and jack cheese topped with marinara and Parmesan cheese). IMO, simply putting Italian sausage into an omelet and topping it with marinara sauce w/ parmesan cheese does not make it "Italian". The flavors were muted and lacked depth. While the dish was executed well enough, that's where the positive notes end. I felt that little effort was made in conceiving that dish. The sauce tasted from a can, the sausage was average at best and everything was severely under seasoned. A splash of Italian herbs, maybe saute some red bell peppers or make the sausage and sauce from scratch are just some ways to make the dish better. The side of biscuits and gravy was also truly disappointing. Last I checked, it advertised as "spicy" gravy. There was nothing spicy about it and was served lukewarm. The texture of the gravy was off putting and unpleasant to my palate. Last but not least, the home fries, like everything else, desperately needed seasoning. Overall Thoughts I don't care for breakfast; The Breakfast Club only further reinforced my dislike

I LOVE breakfast and this place has a huge selection. The Eggs Benedict are delicious- and you can get a half order if you aren't so hungry. The service is friendly and fast. My coffee cup is never left empty. I eat here often.

Favorite place for breakfast in Monterey since 2011. Seriously... Great prices, good portions, and healthy but yummy options. The omelets are to die for too. Oh, and the free coffee while you wait for a seat is the best.

Our favorite breakfast place. Service can be slow sometimes because they chat with the locals very often. The staff is very nice though and again great food. But 4 stars for service.

Me and my family have been coming here for years already since it is down the street. No place can beat this, the pancakes are the best here, very fluffy, and not bland. We tried other breakfast places but no one can compete with this. The customer service is great, everyone's friendly, the place is clean. You can also tell it's a very positive environment. I would rather come here than any other breakfast place.

Been here twice and I gotta say the food is really good. The place can get really busy early during the breakfast hours so prepare to wait in line. Once you do enter you will feel right at home. The decor is old but cute. The service is great as well. Our busboy Colby was super friendly. We got Joes Benedict, Rons omlete and spinach and mushroom omlete. I had a little of everything and it was delicious. All in all, most definitely worth a try. Great food, customer service, and atmosphere.

I'll preface by saying that I haven't really found a breakfast place that I like on the Monterey Peninsula, so maybe I'm just hard on breakfast places. I've been to The Breakfast Club about 4 or 5 times over the past 5 years. Overall it is fun, friendly and always busy on the weekend. These are typically good signs. But ultimately its all about the food, and for me the Breakfast Club delivers 2 star food at a 5 star price. First, I'll focus on the positives: 1. The service really is good. It looks like this is a place that pools their tips, so everyone helps at every table. There never seems to be a shortage of servers and the all seem to be on top of their game. The kitchen puts the food out quickly and a pot of coffee is constantly making its rounds. 2. The portions are very generous. I've never been able to finish my plate here. I feel like if you could, you deserve a Breakfast Club t-shirt. 3. Some of the basics were done well: the french toast was nicely cooked, and their poached eggs were done right. Now, the deal breakers: 1. It is expensive for what you get. For two people the breakfast cost $40 after tax and tip. A french toast plate special (granted it came with a scrambled egg and sausage) was 11 dollars, and a plate with 2 eggs, english muffin, avocado, bacon and potatoes was also 11 dollars. I believe the coffee was $2.75 a cup. A glass of OJ was about 4 bucks. 2. With the food, you're paying for quantity and not quality. I mentioned earlier that the portions were big, I just wish they were portions of good stuff. Overall we were both disappointed. For example, the home fries (boiled and then pan fried) were over-salted and soft. The english muffin in "Annie's Breakfast" was thick, spongey and rubbery. An order of "Pumpkin French Toast" had absolutely no pumpkin flavor to it (perhaps they brought out the wrong plate?). 3. The coffee was miserable. This might be the most important thing that you need to do well at a breakfast place. This stuff tasted like coffee flavored tea. Neither of us asked for a refill when it came around. In fact, we decided to stop at a coffee shop on the ride home to get our fix. I think that I may have gone to The Breakfast Club for the last time. I know that this is a successful business with a loyal following, I just don't really understand why.

I arrived early to have breakfast with a friend and so that I could grab a table for us, since I knew it got really busy there. I got seated right away with no wait and sat down. I ordered a water and waited for my friend to arrive. A few minutes later, a waiter comes by and asks me if my friend was there yet, because they now had a lot of people waiting outside. I replied saying that she would be there in a few minutes. A few minutes later a waitress came by and asked me if my friend was coming, because they now had a bigger line outside. I replied with, "Are you kicking me out of my spot, because there are people waiting outside?" Just ridiculous, because it's obvious they do NOT care about customer satisfaction, they ONLY care about how many customers they can get in and out of there and how much money they make! The reason I arrive early was so I could get a spot, since they get busy! I got a table, because I arrived early, so why should I have to get up so someone else can come sit down and then go wait in a HUGE line outside, which is what I was trying to avoid and did avoid in the first place! I ended up leaving, because I was not about to give my business to a scummy business like this one. Not to mention the entire time you eat there, you stare at a numerous amount of advertisements. Definitely aren't concerned about their customers, but merely are more concerned with how much $$ they can make. Absolutely DISGUSTING! Would DEFINITELY NOT recommend this place to anyone! I won't be going back and as I was a regular customer previously, I will NOT be returning and tell everyone the greed of this so called 'business.'

As a Sacramento native, I relied on the yelp reviews to to find a good breakfast, and this place did not disappoint!! Excellent food, fast, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere made this place worthy of a 5 star review. We had a party of 4, and each ordered something different: huevos rancheros, banana pancakes, omelette with spicy biscuits, and a veggie omelette. We all tried each other's food and it was amazing. Highly recommend this place!!

Looking for a good breakfast in Monterey, fellow Yelpers rated this place fairly high. The first experience was bad. Greasy food, loud and obnoxious patrons, and a big wait. Vowed we'd never come back. This past weekend, were in Monterey again. Obviously forgot about this place because once again stopped by on high recommendations by Yelpers. Same crowd of obnoxious people. Left and went across the parking lot to House of Gyros. Not much better.

I searched Yelp for a great local breakfast near our hotel an found this place. The service was wonderful and our coffee and water cups were always asked to be refilled. The food arrived very quick, which was good. However, a portion of our meal was cold. That was the only negative thing about this place. I had to hold myself back from over stuffing myself with the Biscuits and Gravy & potatoes which looked soooo good. So, I went with a modest French Toast special with eggs, 2 sausage links and 2 slices of French toast. The waitpersons were very friendly and the whole place was very inviting for families and large groups. I would recommend this place. Be careful. If you're coming from the wharf area and you blink you might miss it. If you pass he Carl's Jr, you've gone too far.

I've been hearing such good things about this place I finally dragged my husband out for breakfast one morning. It was crowded which I thought would be a good sign. The waitress was nice, the menu was a bit on the limited side since I don't eat meat but I finally settled with the breakfast burrito. Hubby got something, don't remember what, I had a bite but it was obviously not that great. My breakfast burrito was ... Meh. It didn't wow me. The flavors just all kind of blended together to a mushy mess. No amount of salsa added could save it. Then the check came out. Total of $30. For breakfast. That I didn't even like. Overall it was just disappointing. I don't know if it was just because I got my hopes up too high about the place but I probably won't be going back.

Hmmm...type of food versus the cost. Not so good. I'd recommend going somewhere else if you're looking for good scrambled eggs. Mine reminded me of powdered eggs. Blah.

Have to lower my review on this restaurant. Although we would come back, this is what we found during this visit: 1. The Fish Tacos were not that great. The cream sauce that was on them just did not taste very good. 2. The Minestrone soup has a good flavor, but was not hot in temperature. 3. The Corned Beef Hash as not your traditional Hash. It was chunky, cubed Corned Beef mixed with Potatoes and Mushrooms. I have experienced this style of Corned Beef Hash before, but would have preferred the traditional style.

I was drawn to this place because of the great Yelp reviews, however I left a little disappointed. The service was very quick and our waitress was friendly and sweet, but the food just wasn't that great. I had a mushroom, spinach and jack omelet which was a huge portion but very watery and rubbery. It was also very pricey for a breakfast place...around $60 for 2 adults and 3 children (6,3 &2) I really wanted to like this place but I don't think we will be back!

This was my 1st visit to "The Breakfast Club" and I will be returning very soon. It's not very often that you visit a restaurant the 1st time and it feels like you're eating with family, but this place does! Atmosphere - it's the "Seat Yourself" kinda place. Very fun and relaxing. Waitstaff are very friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make your visit GREAT! Plus...when you see employees eating breakfast at the counter, you know the place is good! Food - Great portions and great flavor. The corned beef hash was perfect! Included 2 over easy eggs, biscuits with spicy gravy AND fresh fruit ( bananas, strawberries, cantaloupe and honeydew ). Pancakes - WOW!!!! Only get 1! The "short stack ( 2 pancakes )" will feed a family of 4! The pancakes are delicious! Light, fluffy, slight crisp on the edges, it's almost a perfect pancake. Overall - Give it a try! Great food and a great atmosphere...You can't go wrong. You will leave happy and FULL!

Overpriced and less than stellar. Don't be fooled by the crowds...we were! Basic breakfast for 2 was just under $25 dollars, before tip. I ordered ham and eggs. The eggs were cooked in high heat so had crispy edges. The ham was full of gristle. I also ordered orange juice and was expecting fresh squeezed. Nope! My husband ordered oatmeal and said it was good. Neither of us ordered anything else...no coffee. The orange juice was $3.50, btw.

My favorite breakfast spot. I've never had a bad meal here and sometimes share a plate because the portions are so big. My only bone to pick with you, Breakfast Club, is why don't you serve breakfast all day? 3pm is not all day. Until closing is all day. Sometimes, Breakfast Club, sometimes a person wants breakfast for dinner. That person is me. And that want is every day. And that person feels that a place called The Breakfast Club, should offer their tasty and delicious breakfasts all. damn. day. Otherwise, top notch.

It is ironic that I find myself here several times even though breakfast is never my favorite meal. But here I am enjoying a cup of coffee outside while waiting for my name to be called so that my party can be seated. It is neat that there is free coffee outside with clean cups for anyone waiting to be seated. It is even neater that EVEN if you're not going to eat there and would like to leech a coffee that no one will stop you or figure that you are actually doing so. Oh well, besides that, I would admit that the food is nothing spectacular and the service is straightforward and friendly (without the usual smiles that you'd think would match the seeming excitement in their voice). I found that the tendency that happens here is the food either is under- or over-salted. Corn beef hash is one of my favorite breakfasts (and I've seen this dish made in so many different fashions). The way it is prepared here is also a little different in taste than what I commonly have but it sure is SALTY! It doesn't stop me from having half of it though and then bring the rest home to dilute with more eggs like a good egg loving fan would do. I've tried their omelets as well and these on the other hand are the under-salted dishes. I can't complain though. I rather have these come out under-salted so that I myself can salt and ketchup it to taste (this isn't France so I would lose my hand to an angry chef screaming obscenities that his dish didn't come perfect already). Anyways, I'll be back to eat here again. The atmosphere is still great for fellowship with friends and family alike while they get in their favorite meal as I pretend that it is also my favorite. NOTE: If you have a large party, make sure they are all there or they won't seat you until they all arrive.

We came here Saturday night and had a great experience. Rob was our server and was wonderful. We dine out frequently at all kinds of places and I can honestly say it was the best service we've ever had. I had the brie mushrooom soup and chicken piccata while my boyfriend had the meatball soup and the ribeye. We were very satisfied with our choices. Rob went the extra mile by offering to have the kitchen prepare a slice of bananas foster French toast for dessert. It was incredible. We'll definitely be back.

The food is good, but what really makes this place stand out is the service! Top notch, folks who really care and make it fun. They were great with the kids and every single employee seemed to do every single job. Will definitely visit again just based on this good experience

I heard wonderful things about this breakfast spot but I was unfortunately disappointed! I went there on a weekday afternoon and had their Eggs Benedict, not a fan. Their hollandaise sauce was buttery without any flavor. The hash browns were flat and burnt without any flavor as well. Service was good, also our meal was out fast.

Today was the second time I have tried out this breakfast place because of the great reviews on Yelp. I have been very disappointed both times. Both times I have ordered The Traditional Eggs Benedict to-go. I had the same problem both times. The first time I went to The Breakfast Club was because of all the 4 to 5 star ratings on Yelp. When I got there every table had someone sitting in it and people waiting outside. So I walked up to the bar located in the back of the restaurant and sat down. The place seemed clean and the wait staff is super nice. I place my order and payed $13.00. I watched the wait staff getting the food from the kitchen then to the tables. I noticed the microwave and wondered what it was for, so I watched to see what they put in it. To my surprise it was every type of Eggs Benedict. Once they get it from the kitchen (no Hollandaise Sauce on it yet) they microwave them for 30 sec then top it with room temperature hollandaise sauce and a sprinkle of Paprika. I did not ask why they did this and just excepted my breakfast. When I got home this is what I experienced as my Traditional Eggs Benedict both times I went and same mistakes. Eggs - They are supposed to be poached. Instead I got boiled eggs, no creamy yoke for me. Ham - Not hard to mess up, its already cooked. English Muffin - Hard as a rock, I could not even use my steak knife to cut through them. Hollandaise Sauce - not a bad sauce, I have had better but if every thing else was OK I would not turn this place down because of their hollandaise sauce. I will not be back to The Breakfast Club for this reason. I am giving them 1 star for the food only and not the wait staff or cleanliness of the restaurant.

I'm amazed at all the 4 and 5 stars. The Club did have great service plus the bussers roaming the room making sure everyone is happy and topped off. Great breakfast atmosphere but the food was not great. I gave it a 2 because they had the pepper plant hot sauce which made it taste good. The huevos rancheros was sub par. eggs were over easy and still under cooked. potatoes were undercooked and bland except for the pepper plant hot sauce. Way to much cheese for me. My wife had an over cooked denver omelet with a bisquick pancake. couldn't finish my favorite meal of the day.

New lookin' place in a new lookin' plaza, aint no mom n pop place, but it's got the mom n shop service.. Seriously, when you first sit down, "Coffee?"..."No thanks..." Five minutes later, "Coffee?"...."No." Ten minutes later, "Coffee?"...."It's cool, you got something similar to coffee instead?" He goes, "What?" Pause...two minutes later, "What you looking for?" I say.. "What you got?" and the waiter disappears for the rest of the morning. French toast, eggs benedicts, bacon, sausage, biscuits n gravy, so good, so good. Word to the wise, get someone else to drive you there, do not drive here coz you gonna want to sleep for a couple of hours or the rest of the day... Perfect day: "A BUNCHA STUFF FROM THE BREAFAST CLUB...AND A BED."

Ah, how I love chorizo and eggs wrapped in a hot flour tortilla. Bring on the breakfast tacos! This place gets crowded so expect to wait for a few minutes. Also, when you get there, be sure to sign your name and party size on the notepad by the front door. They also serve coffee in the front of the place while you wait so grab a (clean) cup and dig in. I say clean because there is no place to put the dirty ones, so they often get placed next to the clean ones. The clean ones are upside down and the dirty ones are right side up. The servers are busy, but the service is good and super friendly! The food is fantastic! If you are looking for a big heaping plate of greasy, filling and delicious food, this is your place. This is a quality gut-buster with hot coffee, fabulous waffles and you can even order a side of Hollandaise sauce...oh - can you bring a straw with that too, please?!? We will definitely be back!

Rounding up from 3.5 stars. We were in the Monterey area and saw that The Breakfast Club had great reviews, so decided to pick up breakfast to go. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito (Scrambled Eggs, Sauteed Onions, Tomato, Ortega Chilies, Jack Cheese in a Flour Tortilla Topped w/Sour Cream and Avocado, Served w/Home Fries, $10.95, yelp.com/biz_photos/-TZy… ). We decided to add sausage for an extra $1.95, which was well worth it, as they didn't skimp! I also requested that they add the sour cream and avocado to the inside of the burrito, so that it would be less messy. You can't really tell from the picture, but this breakfast burrito was enormous!! It easily fed two people, and we couldn't even finish all of the hash browns. I'm glad we go this to-go, as it was packed inside at 10:00am on a Sunday, and there were already a few people on the wait list. It took them 10-15 minutes to prepare the dish, so definitely call ahead! There is a huge parking lot here, so at least there is no need to worry about parking.

You can always expect a consistently good meal. I prefer their breakfast over lunch and have not experienced the new dinner menu. What I enjoy best of all, you can build your own egg white omelet. The food comes hot and fast so gulp down that first cup of coffee right away. Your order will likely arrive before the efficient staff finishes pouring your second cup of hot coffee. Come with a group so you can order a delicious belgian waffle or specialty pancake for the table to share!

Good casual breakfast place with great service. We had the pecan banana waffle and poached eggs and our daughter got the kids special Mickey Mouse pancake . Everything was great!!

HUGE portions and GREAT service means we'll be coming back for more! I absolutely love places like this. lots of stuff on the menu from your normal eggs and bacon to corned beef hash, to all types of waffles, to italian sausage! i could literally go back there every day for weeks and still have new things to try. service was great, got my coffee topped off without asking which a lot of places have mysteriously forgot how to do. plenty of parking as it's in a middle of a small plaza.

I went on a saturday around 1130 and tables were open but still took about 10 minutes for someone to greet us and sit us down. I order eggs benedict (traditional) and did not like it. I love eggs benedict and when they served it to me, it did not look appetizing. First off, I was served deli meat ham, which every time I have eaten eggs benedict it comes with canadian bacon and not slices of ham, the hollandaise sauce was super salty and not creamy enough. I only gave it one star but my husband loved the egg breakfast sandwich. It was also very expensive for food that was mediocre. I only ate it because I didn't feel like waiting for the server to come back to ask how it was. The poached egg was good though.

Had a Quintal's Omelette, very bland, very average. Food was lukewarm when I got it. Service is great, though, no complaints there. They ask if you are interested in french vanilla coffee, if you say yes, they put a bottle of french vanilla coffee-mate creamer on the table. Hilarious. This place is kind of the waffle house, huge portions, bland food, let's all get diabeetus type place, which a lot of people like to be sure.

I needed a change of pace breakfast today so I came back to the Breakfast Club. I ordered The Traveler again with link sausage and OM eggs. I keep, hoping the pancakes will be as good as the Wagon Wheel's but they just fall short. Next time I'll stick with potatoes or hash browns. Sat at the counter and was waited on promptly. The place was packed but my food came out in minutes. Excellent service and quality food. New change. Now it shares the space with Phat Burger. It's the breakfast club from 7AM till 2PM but you can order off the Phat Burger menu starting at 11AM. It will be interesting to see how this concept works out.

Even on a Monday this restaurant is busy. When we arrived, there were a few open tables (you seat your self), but none of them were bused/clean. Eventually we chose the table by the window and waited for them to clear it. However, beside that first impression, this place is fantastic. The service was friendly, considering how busy they were. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are big! The banana foster french toast is amazing! The coffee was mediocre, but overall, I enjoyed this breakfast! I love that they have combos available with both savory and sweet items! I'm not sure how long I would wait for a table at this restaurant, as I can only imagine how crowded it must get on a weekend, but I would revisit this restaurant!

When I saw the staff pouring hollandaise over poached eggs then microwaving the plate I new to keep it simple. I had bacon and eggs with home fries, biscuits and gravy. The eggs and bacon were fine. The home fries were not remotely crisp. Pre boiled and stir fried no caramelization. The biscuits had no flavor and was not hot. Gravy was bland. I won't be back. If you are a breakfast person it's worth driving a bit further for something more satisfying.

The pancakes are awesome and the S.O.S was amazing! I could not stop eating! The bacon was cooked perfectly and the home fries were the best I've ever had!

Loved it. Huge portions, good food, and a great place to meet up with friends and family. Got here at ~1pm, there was a line out the door so I assumed food would be great. It was. Service was excellent as well. Coffee and water was filled without waiting and food was all brought out for our table of 6 at the same time. I got biscuits and gravy with home fries and had a bite of the huevos rancheros and mushroom burger (medium rare) with cajun seasoned fries. Everything was delicious. Be aware that the biscuits and gravy really is just biscuits and gravy. You can order it topped with ground beef for a little extra.

This was my first time eating at the Breakfast Club. It was very busy when we arrived for breakfast but they were able up sit us down quickly. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Not to mention our food was prepared quickly and oh boy was it delicious. I had the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon! This is definitely one of those restaurants I would recommend!

The Breakfast Club...you mean the classic 80s movie? I imagine people meeting together, pouring out their feelings, and eating brunch (and their feelings). I digress. This is one of my favorite brunch spots to go to with my family. Their breakfast menu has a variety of food choices - omelettes, eggs benedict, french toast, waffles, pancakes, etc. Each of these choices have even more choices to order from. ORDERCEPTION. For example, you can choose regular French Toast, Banana Nut French Toast, Banana Foster French Toast, French Toast Special with fruit, Cinnamon Roll French Toast, etc. SO MANY CHOICES WITHIN CHOICES! I usually order the French Toast Special (two eggs and your choice of bacon or sausage). I one up that order by asking for Banana Nut French Toast instead of regular French Toast. Cost is extra, but worth it. Banana, nuts, brown sugar? TREAT YOSELF. The service is fast, portion size is huge, and the servers are quite attentive to your needs - asking if you need more coffee/water/napkins/if everything is okay. Friendly staff and a nice local feel. If you're in the area, join the club and check this place out!

What do I think of when you say Breakfast Club? One hand raised walking out in triumph! (my silly 80's reference) I will say it is triumphant! During my trip to Monterey, this by far was my favorite breakfast stop. I had this bookmarked before heading this way and was excited to try it out. I even asked the concierge at my hotel. He confirmed it was a great place. We walked in shortly after they opened. Yeah it was early but we were getting an head start back home. The waitress ruled the roost! I don't think she stood still for one second. She was in constant contact with every table still keeping my coffee cup filled. I ordered their banana nut pancakes. Oh the calories!! But I was on vacation so I gave myself a pass. Two larger than life pancakes were placed in front of me. I loved the diced nuts sprinkled generously over the pancakes. They were delightful and so flavorful. I tried my hardest to finish them but had to throw in the towel. This out-of-towner loved The Breakfast Club - the movie and now the restaurant!

My husband and I are here on the last day of our honeymoon. The place was packed on a Wednesday, but quickly served food, cleaned tables, and sat more people. The food was great and the service was amazing considering how busy they were. The menu had some really interesting items that I would love to go back and try!

We were in town over the weekend for four nights/mornings. Morning one, we just hit Starbucks, but morning two, we discovered Breakfast Club, and subsequently returned for the next two mornings as well. Service here is super fast and friendly, food is delicious and prices are reasonable. We tried the standard egg/toast/hashbrowns, and that was good, but then branched out to blueberry pancakes, cinnamon roll French Toast, pecan waffles, etc and all were terrific as well. If you're staying anywhere in the area, definitely give this quirky little place a try!

First off...I asked for hazelnut cream for my coffee and got my own full size container!!! The wait staff is very attentive. Food was really good. Couldn't finish my waffle combo!! Just stay on Fremont Street and once you pass the lights in Seaside, it's in the shopping Laguna Plaza where Outdoor World is located. PS...they have several gluten free breakfast items

This is great little breakfast spot that can get pretty packed on the weekends. It's tucked in the corner of a small strip mall so you don't have to worry about parking. We visited the first morning of our trip up to Monterey and upon arrival we saw the line outside the restaurant. We walked up and signed in on the clipboard and were offered complimentary coffee. The wait wasn't too long (about 10 minutes) and brought our drinks soon after ordering them. After perusing the menu and asking our server her recommendations we went with veggie omelette, home fries, with biscuits and gravy while my son ordered the french toast special (comes with 2eggs, 2 slices of french toast, and sausage). Portions are really large and I wasn't able to finish it. Everything was so great we came back again the following day. This time I went with the eggs benedict and home fries while my son opted for the same thing as the day before. Prices are comparable to other breakfast chains but with better quality food! The food was super delicious and service was even better. Both visits we were greeted with lovely smiles and were continuously having our drinks refilled and brought extra napkins. I definitely recommend this great lil breakfast spot.

Awesome little place. Been here a few times. Food is always very good, with a lot of choices on the menu. The customer service is great, and the staff is friendly. You may occasionally have to wait, but that's because this place is not only good, but popular.

Minus one star because they didn't have any crabcakes to make the crabcake benedict I wanted. Minus another star because their fried chicken was really dry. All in all this place was ok. I had the Ron's omlette with country potatoes and an orange juice. I forgot what my fiance ordered but either pancakes/waffles/or french toast were involved. The restaurant is located in a tiny strip mall with plenty of parking.

My boyfriend and I stopped by here before heading to the 17 mile drive in Carmel. We saw the huge portions and decided to share the Corn Beef Hash Scramble and Baby Pancakes (2 normal sized pancakes). The scramble came with home fries, and the overall dish was pretty decent. I thought it lacked flavor and could probably have used a bit more seasoning. Tip: If you ask to sit at the bar, you don't have to wait on the main list.

Breakfast club decided to make a recent foray into dinner. Breakfast stalwarts are made available alongside great dinner specials like Chicken & Waffles, the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich and Filet Mignon Bites. I've been a long time fan of the Breakfast Club when it comes to breakfast eats, but really wanted to try out the dinner fare. The dinner menu combines homestyle favorites like fried chicken, pork cutlets, lasagna, burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, milkshakes and malts with gourmet salads, caprese insalata, grilled artichokes, crab cakes, Monterey Bay seafood, pastas and fruit smoothies. Came in twice last week for dinner and again last night for dinner. We ordered the wild salmon plate, the chicken picatta, rib eye steak sandwich, the fried chicken basket, fish tacos, grilled tilapia, garlic fries, clam chowder and the berry cobbler a la mode. Most of the dinner entrees come with your choice of two sides...I'm a sides glutton. The salmon is sourced locally from the Monterey Fish Company so you're in for a fresh seasonal treat. I chose the salmon prepared with their delicate herbed caper sauce. I like to order the green salad as one of my sides. I love that you can dress up your greens at their sides bar with all your favorite fixing's (craisins, croutons, walnuts, tomatoes, cucumbers, salsa fresca, chipotle dressing, etc). The garlic fries are another excellent side choice. They are accented with fresh grated garlic and parsley. The berry cobbler is a blissful union of sweet and tart flavors with bubbling berry juices and a buttery flakey crust. The fried chicken is crispy, tender and moist --a very solid comfort dish. We all signed up for the loyalty program. Every time you come in, just punch in your phone number at their kiosk machine or give your number to your server. You will start to earn free items and discounts like free sodas, free desserts, free entrees, 20% off vouchers, etc. This place is the best deal in town for well-priced small plates and dinners. Where else on the peninsula can one get a fresh wild salmon dinner with two sides of their choice for under $15? The staff is so warm and are a strong reminder why I like supporting local businesses. I'm feeling an urge to play some bingo...I'll be back in on a Thursday evening to catch bingo night.

Cinnamon Roll Pancakes...gigantic, cinnamony, tasty. One was definitely enough! No syrup needed. Chicken Fried Steak...good size portion. Gravy was tasty and thick. Hash browns were crispy. Service...friendly, cheerful and quick. (Friday morning.) Kid friendly.

Been here twice (and will certainly be back for more). Don't let a lil line scare you away. This place is always packed for a good reason, the food is incredibly scrumptious. Very accommodating for families, especially young childern like my toddler (17 months). The staff = excellent customer service! Both time I have been here I got the fried chicken and waffles. The fried chicken is cooked perfectly. Falling apart on the inside, juicy, tender, and flavorful. Crispy, crunchy and seasoned nicely in the outside. You get a breast, a thigh and a drumstick. The waffle is huge, fluffy, tasty and comes with hot maple syrup! I always want to try something new but I am always drawn back to the chicken and waffles. Make the trip, wait in line and feast on the awesomeness!

Not sure why people line up to eat here, maybe there aren't that many other options in the area. My omelet was good, but not great. Service was iffy. My husband ordered a single pancake along with his eggs and the waitress clearly forgot to put in that part of the order (we weren't charged for it at least). Perhaps we ordered the wrong things.

Coffee is at best a one star. My GF's breakfast was a two star. My breakfast was a 4.2. I'm feeling generous so I'll give a three. Don't let the crowd fool you, it's not that great. The service is OK and the restaurant is clean but the food is boring. We won't be back. Next!

I had the chicken and waffles. The wife had the cinnamon pancakes. Both were excellent. The portions were a bit enormous. The staff was really nice. They checked on us regularly, but not too often. We forgot our baby's sippy cup, and one of the waiters ran out to us with it. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Pretty good if looking for breakfast or something else. Some in our party wanted breakfast for dinner so we headed over to the Breakfast club to check it out. Breakfast selection was on point. We also ordered the house special lasagna and Italian bread (apparently a family recipe). Both were good! Salad bar seemed to be pretty well stocked. Good food, decent price, decent service. I would recommend.

My wife and I have been here about a dozen times and have never had a bad experience. The food is very fair priced and is decent. We have dined for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Service has always been pleasant. Food arrives very quickly. I highly recommend the burgers. Very thick and well seasoned. They are not afraid to cook a bugger medium, either. I love a pink burger. Only reason for not getting a 5 star is simply because they are not a fresh kitchen. I'd like to see fresh cut fries and fresh battered onion rings; not frozen. Otherwise, a great place to eat. The bar addition to the restaurant is nice and not very loud. For my fellow beer geeks- their beer selection is decent! Last night I saw they have Big Daddy IPA, Talulah, 805, and PINNER!!! PINNER is goodness in a can!

When we arrived (Saturday morning with a party of five) I initially was prepared to leave after seeing the crowds of people out front, but having worked as a host in restaurants before I was surprisingly pleased with a relatively short wait time (only about 25 minutes). I was surprised by other (older) waiting customers who were outwardly complaining about the wait time--don't go to a popular diner at 10am on a Saturday and expect to get in right away. I expected a good wait time for the food but it actually came out very quickly (ten minutes or so) for such a popular diner and was all fresh and delicious. The staff's attentiveness was mixed--we had someone bringing us drinks who was distracted and seemed a little short tempered, but our server was very kind despite how busy it was. A drink-maker brought us some strange milkshakes, (half vanilla and half orange juice??) which were not what we ordered but the manager who came by explained what had happened and got correct milkshakes to us very quickly. It seems there was a language barrier there, which may bother other customers but I've never had issues with it. The food was delicious, and after that one incident the staff were very attentive. This is good for people who are looking for a mid-price range diner experience with some good home-cooked food. They have a lunch menu with good options for that one friend who isn't in the mood for breakfast anymore.

I just relocated to the area and this will most likely be a place I go back to again and again. The food was good and the service was excellent. I am a foodie by self identification, but a person who values ride in work and pleasant surroundings almost more than the meal. This place had both, and it was refreshing to be greeted with a smile. I had the French toast breakfast. The toast was cooked which is a plus since most places go soggy. The eggs I ordered over easy and they were a little runnier than expected but still good. This is really the only reason for four vs five stars. LOVED the crispy bacon and my nieces all enjoyed their food. If you like burgers they have a burger bar set up so that you can fix it up just the way you like. Breakfast and lunch served at 1000 when we walked in so this was good for the two picky eaters I had with me. I will be back!

I'm a huge fan of breakfast and The Breakfast Club always satisfies. I usually get an omelette with a side of tortillas (my Spanish side) and water. Sometimes the silverware is dirty but you can just get a new set. Also, if they served Sriracha, they would truly be winning. Besides First Awakenings, this is the only other breakfast spot I go to.

I've been coming here for 7 years now. My favorite breakfast place in the Monterey area, hands down. The huevos rancheros is my go-to dish. Banana fosters french toast is also amazing if your craving something sweet. They wait/bus staff is amazingly efficient for how busy it is (theres almost constantly a line to get in, especially on weekends).

Had breakfast here while passing through Monterey. It's nothing fancy but the food is good the coffee is hot and the portions are large. My husband and I skipped lunch because we were still full from breakfast! I would not go out of my way to get to this place but if your in the area and your hungry they have got you covered

This place is nestled in a corner of the strip mall making it extremely entertaining. Food was excellent (I would suggest the Huevos Rancheros !!) and more than enough! Service was fantastic and never rushed. Very comfortable and at home feel. We would go back.

This place has a wait over the weekend! Despite the wait (Saturday- about an hour in the morning), I was happy with my meal. I ordered an egg white omelette with mushrooms and spinach (yummy with my protein). I exchanged a side of potatoes for fruit instead and it was refreshing. My meal also came with a side of biscuits and gravy. I LOVE biscuits and gravy and was super happy when I found out that that's an option for a side. It has sausage in the gravy, which I like. Is it the best biscuits and gravy? No, but I'll settle (3.5-4/5 stars). My friends ended up getting the same thing (chicken and waffles). I didn't taste the chicken, but the waffles did not disappoint. The waitress was really nice and kids have the option to color on a coloring sheet here. The restaurant even has a few hung up. Also, you can have some coffee while you wait. You probably should, because the weather out there is generally cold.

Food wise, there is no place better for breakfast within 100 miles. Seriously! We love breakfast, so we usually go out to eat at a different place Saturday and Sunday's. I had the breakfast burrito and it was incredible. I couldn't finish it. The location leaves a lot to be desired as its tucked into the back of a strip mall. That said, you know it's going to be great food when there's a 10 minute wait in the parking lot, as people know its worth it. The wait was quick. They had coffee and mugs for anyone waiting, which was awesome. I highly recommend this place for breakfast!

Reasonable prices, but much more than a diner breakfast. Very bland, unmemorable decor, but that's not so important. I got a "Skinny Bene", hoping for something somewhat on the healthier side. Eggs whites, fruit, tomatoes, avocado, onions, wheat toast...but everything was clearly cooked on a greasy grill. It was all brown and covered in a film. However: that's only a letdown because I was hoping to avoid grease. If I were in the mood for a substantial, tasty diner breakfast I'd happily come again and be very satisfied. My only real complaint: they charge $2.75 for coffee, but that is WAY too much; we're not talking about fresh roasted and hand pressed. Hearty and yummy. Recommended, as long as you don't worry about your calorie count, and want a good greasy diner-style breakfast. p.s. Don't bother getting anything with Hollandaise sauce.

Absolutely worth the drive from anywhere. The omelets were enormous and stuffed, the french toast was thick and full of flavor and they have this hot sauce there, that's out of control. Definitely a good choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Wonderful place for breakfast. The ambiance is "middle american"... nothing fancy. A TV on the wall plays a series of public service announcements and funny slides. The tood was amazing, especially the Cinnamon Roll Pancake... super sweet but in a good way. If you love cinnamon rolls you will love this as well. Service was attentive, the coffee was good, and the price was reasonable. What more could you ask?

I am a huge fan of chicken fried steak and always order it if it is available. Seriously, it is a weakness of mine. Theirs was quite good. What's even better, is that one of the choices for a bread item was biscuits and gravy, and theirs was tasty. Not exceptional, but good. I would have given them 4 starts because their food was quite good, but I really wasn't a fan of the potatoes. I am generally more of a hash brown guy anyways, but I wouldn't mark them down if they had really good home-fries. The problem was that they were under cooked. The potatoes were still a bit hard and not soft on the inside/ crispy on the outside. I think that if they would have cooked them a little bit longer, they would have been just fine. The staff was very friendly and attentive and I would gladly come back again. You should definitely give it a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Bananas Foster French Toast. Get it. Even if you don't like bananas, get it. My sister doesn't like bananas and after tasting it, she wished she got it. My daughter doesn't like mushy bananas but after tasting it, she wished she got it. How can you not like thick eggy bread fried in glorious french toast batter covered with bananas that have been cooked with butter and brown sugar, poured on top of your toast then topped with cinnamon?? They syrup they gave me was never touched as it wasn't needed. The bacon was almost never touched because I was so in love with the french toast but it would be blasphemous to say bacon isn't needed and it would be a sin to leave it uneaten. I'm a good bacon worshipper so I don't sin against it, ever. Whoa...you almost lost me in a bacon trance! Back to this breakfast...Sister got the Huevos Rancheros and they were really delish as well but not as good as my BFFT, IJS. :-) Mom got blah blah veggie omelette, other sis got chicken fried steak and my kid got regular french toast. Like I said...I'm sure their stuff was fine but not better than mine!! See what I did there? Service was on point, the place was hoppin' for a Friday morning and I'm told it's always busy. We only waited about 10 minutes for a table for 5 to open up so everything was all good that morning. Especially what? Yes, you're correct...the BFFT. Get it.

Ok I've eaten here for breakfast when I came to visit my kids in the military. Tonight we came for dinner and it was just as good! We decided on breakfast for dinner... My grandkids had the kids waffle and kids pancakes with bacon or sausage and scrambled eggs and a drink! There was enough food for an adult! $4.95 My husband decided on the eggs Benedict and hashbrowns and he ate every last bite... I was going life with the soup and salad all but let my plate. I haven't had the cheese dressing that good in a long time. Their service is outstanding! The bus boy and waitress kept coming back to our table to make sure our drinks were filled and we were happy with our meal! We WILL be back!!!

Last night we were there with family for the pumpkin carving dinner fun and the Certified Angus Filet Mignon Bites char broiled on skewers and the 2 sides I chose were fresh green beans & broccolini sautéed (or choose steamed) were all absolutely delicious!! It's priced at $13.95! The Breakfast Club (PHAT Burger) dinners are all delicious & very well priced! The BINGO night on Thursdays is so fun! When you buy an entree you get FREE BINGO so go have fun & have a great dinner at this friendly, casual, family restaurant:))

We had my 3 yr old and 3 month old sons with us it was a great experience for us all!

I am not a breakfast person, but this place converted me. The wait staff work hard to make sure you have all your needs met. The variety is amazing. The ollalaberry pancakes are to die for! My favorite thing is the coffee creamer at each table to meet all your coffee needs! I've been coming here for 11 years and plan on continuing my once a month after church breakfasts! ***update on 3-8-15 Although this place is great...you can tell its a different cook m-f then on the weekends....the quality on the weekends went down significantly than on my weekday morning visits.----it went from 5 to 3 stars.
