After riding my bicycle over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, I was ready for a cocktail and a bite to eat. Most of the places there seemed pretty pricey, or were just offering. I noticed this place, and went in and took a seat at the bar. The bartender was very nice, and made a great martini with "Witch's olives" (bleu cheese stuffed). The burgers looked so good that I ordered one, and was not disappointed. Great quality ingredients, and the quintessential fluffy bun that seems to be a Bay area burger trademark. I was surprised not to find a review of them on Yelp, but the bartender they had only opened a few months ago. I think that this place is a great destination for anyone visiting Sausalito for the day and taking the ferry back like I did!

I loveddd Napa Valley Burger Co. It was very charming and the service was impecable. I liked that my burger was served with a salad rather than fries. Everything was fresh and the prices were on point. I can't wait to go back :-)

Stick to the burgers, which my husband said was good. I had fish and chips that were overcooked and dry. My kids had chicken tenders that were also really dry. Kind of pricey for what you get.

These shmucks lost my credit card and didn't fess up to it, but instead kept my friend waiting for 15 mins without an update while we missed the ferry. How do you lose a credit card in the 10 feet from the table to the register? While dining there they failed to bring us the things we asked for (repeatedly). They don't seem to be hospitality trained and they don't care about their customers. After complaining about the lost card and seeking some restitution, we were left waiting another 15-20 mins without an update while the floor manager was ignoring us and helping other customers. Tourist Trap!

After a vigorous bike ride through SF and over the Golden Gate Bridge, I was hungry for some meat by the time I got to Sausalito. Napa Valley Burger Co really delivered exactly what I wanted. They have lots of types of burgers with any topping you could want. The burgers are served with a nice, crisp side salad - perfect for me! You can choose between a brioche bun, a gluten free bun for an up charge, or a lettuce wrap, which makes this place very Celiac friendly. They have a good selection of wine and beer, and relatively quick service. The only downsides: crowded, touristy, and lots of little kids.

My girlfriend Carly and I had an excellent lunch at Napa Valley Burger Company. We sat at the bar and got great and friendly service from the bartender. The Yountville burger and blue cheese burgers were delicious, and chef Murphy made sure to stop by and made sure everything was exceeding our expectations. Props to Murphy and the rest of the team for a great lunch, we will definitely be back.

We spent the morning hiking through the Marin Headlands and then drove to Sausalito for lunch. We spotted Napa Valley Burger Co. on the main drag and decided to drop in and check things out. The restaurant was packed-- yet gave off a relaxed, mellow vibe at the same time. We were seated immediately at a table for 4 even though there were just two of us--it was the only table available. We looked at each other and both thought that we would wind up sharing this table with two other people. We quickly realized that this wasn't going to be the case as: 1. we were not in San Francisco! and 2. they took away the other two place settings. Service was excellent. There were so many people working there that not one table had to wait for anything. The burgers were large and extremely tasty. I ordered the blue cheese burger. It came with two strips of bacon, and an onion ring. A field greens salad was served on the side with a house vinaigrette dressing. I ordered my burger "medium" and it was cooked to perfection. It was very juicy too. My partner had the turkey burger served with cranberry on a toasted brioche bun. It was great. The interior is beautiful with exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. Very comfortable leather couches are arranged in clusters with square wood tables in the middle to accommodate families or larger groups. Good service, good food and good management. This one is a keeper.

Was visiting SF from Chicago and decided to book a 5-hour site-seeing tour. Saulalito was one of the stops. I wasn't in the mood to wander around and look at the shops, so I stopped here for some lunch & cockails. I probalby should have got a burger, but I didn't want to be stuffed. I opted for the fish tacos. They were ok, lacking a bit of spice. I doused with some hot sauce and they were better. Just average overall. The bartender was amazing! He whipped me up 2 different martinis, that were so good. The first was a pear-ginger and the second a pear-cosmo. I would go back here again and get a burger and more martinis. Wonderful place to stop and people watch from the window or grab a table outside.

Our burgers were cold when they came to the table only because they let it sit out for 10 minutes before serving it to us. Not a fan of cold burgers, of course they reheated it in a microwave, yummy, soggy bun, tough meat. No point of going back, especially when there are other better burgers joints near by.

Seriously?? NO TAKE OUT???? Wow - I guess they have no interest in having local customers, as we have no interest in crowding into a noisy space with throngs of tourists just to eat here. Not offering take out is not very smart. Easy $$, No butts taking up table space, just stuff it into a take-out box and voila! Done! Quick! Easy money and keeping the tired, hardworking, locals-who-just-want-to-take-home-a-good-bite-to-eat happy. Hmmm - Guess we'll be taking our burger $$$ elsewhere.....

I very rarely feel compelled to log into yelp and write a review, but this place definitely warrants one. After biking over from SF, this is exactly what I needed. I nabbed one of the seats out front and parked my bike across the street, but I was a bit paranoid of it being that far from be (it's a pricey bike), so they let me bring it next to the table (even offered to lock it inside!). The staff was very attentive, super nice, and all about cracking jokes with me. I love that. Kevin Murphy was especially rad (I believe he's the chef). He has a sriracha shirt on so I jokingly demanded that he bring me my own personal bottle...and he totally obliged and we had great banter though the whole thing. Needless to say, I put it all over my veggie burger. Now, let's be honest, some veggie burgers (correction, most veggie burgers), are nothing but deep fried boca/morning star patties that are strangely crunchy and bland. This was the opposite - hand made with kale, quinoa, black beans, and topped with delicious veggies. Tip: add an egg to the veggie burger. Great vibe, great staff, perfect location, fantastic food, local/delicious wine. Definitely make this your spot when visiting Sausalito.

Decided to make a day out of hanging out in Sausalito, and stumbled upon the best burger joint ever!!! Genuinely the best burger I have ever had, and I'm not a burger eater. I had the Sausalito burger and it blew my mind. The service was exceptional and the chef even came out to talk to us to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Quality food, not over priced and great environment!! Very chill space..

The first time i came to this place was a two years ago. The burguers are great, the meat is incredible, and the house beer was good, but it´s a little overpriced. If you are travelling on a budget go to another place. If you don´t it´s a very good choice.

Food was great but kids drinks charged full price!?! $5 lemonade with her $7 grilled cheese!

3.5 stars. The food in Sausalito is pretty underwhelming. After a 2 hour bike ride, I was starving, so I definitely enjoyed Napa Valley Burger Co - but still only a 3.5-star place. The guacamole was not very good at all - not spicy and too much onion and beans, not enough salt, cilantro, or spice. The burgers were very food - 4 stars for those - but unusually greasy and hard to eat (too tall). The fries were also very good.

Great menu choices and excellent food! Can get a little crowded during peak hours, and parking is horrible, but it is Sausalito. The tater tots and burgers are great. There is a fantastic quinoa salad. The kids meals are great (except for the mac and cheese - that one could use a little work). Most of all, the service was amazing. We came in with a toddler in near-meltdown mode and the waitress, a mom herself, realized the emergency and got us a basket of tater tots, stat. After that it was totally smooth sailing. Highly recommended!

Food was pretty spot on. Salad with burger instead of fries was nice. The server didn't seem like he knew where he was working though. Didn't know crap about wine either. Please clean the restrooms and chear up the bartendress.

Cute area in Sausalito and one of the best salads I've had in a long time. The Mediterranean quinoa salad was fresh, HUGE, with great lettuce, amazing feta, and tender chicken. I don't really eat fried food, but the sweet potato fries my dad got were amazing. Light, chewy and not oily or fried tasting. Overall, an incredible lunch. Note - I don't eat red meat, but these burgers looked like they were to die for. Huge, creative pairings (I was salivating over the cheese and ingredient combos, never mind the meat part). Clearly they're known for their burgers (from the name) and the rest of my party thoroughly enjoyed theirs.

Good Good food! I came here with my big boo boo and little boo boo after we spent the morning at The Bay Area Discovery Museum. We were all hungry and it was lunch rush time so there was a wait.. not too bad but 20-30 minutes. Anyhow, we finally got a table and ordered asap as we had 20+ minutes to look at the menu. We ordered the Yountville Burger (hickory smoked bacon, gruyere cheese, crumbled garlic croutons, arugula, garlic aioli, parmesan cheese crisp), Nacho Waffle Fries and the little boo boo ordered his own burger through the kids meal. My husband and I shared the burger and nacho waffle fries and we thought maybe it wouldn't be enough for us because he's a big eater and we were HUNGRY. Anyhow, to cut this story short, the burger was delicious, the meat was cooked medium just how we like it.. not at all dry, the hickory bacon was to die for.. my husband loved it and a voluntarily gave my portion to him. The waffle fries was great as well.. you would think after they put all of those toppings (guac, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, etcc) that the fries would be soggy.. well it wasn't, it was crispy! I don't know how they do it but it works! Great Place, nice location downtown!

Had the Vintage Burger and Truffle Fries. Both were yummy. About a 20 minute wait to get in. They took my cell and called when my table was ready. Allowed us to browse nearby shops while we waited. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. All around good experience.

Service is great!!! Which is a great starting point, from the moment we walked in till we left we were taken care of.. I've came here twice in the past week that's how good the food is. It's pricey but worth it!! The burgers are extremely juicy and very tasty!! The Sausalito burger is my fav this far!! Runny egg just the way I like it!! Ice tea was great also!!! Can't wait to return ;)

We yelped this place on a friday morning when my friends and I were looking for a good place to eat in the area. We decided on Napa Valley Burger company because of its location and delicious menu. I definitely recommend giving 30 minutes before you are actually sit down. I don't think they take reservations over the phone because they give you the buzz when your table is ready. When we were seated after our wait, we were seated towards the back of the restaurant. They also have outdoor seating which is fun if its not too cold. The staff was very friendly and off the bat give us his recommendations. I tried out the Spicy Chicken Burger which was bomb all the way. My company also liked their respective burgers and you can't really go wrong with anything off the menu. The recommendations that we were told that were great were: Stinson beach and Yountville. The drink choices were also great. The cocktails were a little fruity but I would definitely recommend the brews served up there. The one star is taken off because we were cut off early after 2 drinks because the restaurant was getting packed and they needed space to fill in the restaurant which was totally understandable.

Wonderful customer service. My friend wasn't fond of the sauce on her burger and Chef Murphy did everything to make sure she left happy and full. Sergio and Murphy had us in tears laughing and made the experience of sending food back much more enjoyable. The fried chicken club sandwich was delicious! We will definitely be back.

We were looking for a kid friendly place and found this place. We waited about 30 minutes for a seat, but worth it. Wife ordered the BBQ turkey burger, I had the Sausalito burger, and both kids had Mac and cheese. Burgers are all cooked medium and they don't take special requests (menu clearly states that substitutions are politely declined). And when you look at how small the kitchen is it makes sense that too many custom requests would slow them down. The food came out very quickly, the patties were cooked to perfection (perfectly juicy with some pink on the beef patty; turkey patty cooked thoroughly but still juicy ), and they were quite delightful, including the presentation (see the pictures I posted). -1 point because the top half of my bun was a bit dry (fell apart when I put it on top of the patty), otherwise the food very enjoyable and the service was very respectable.

Had lunch here last Friday. It was seriously the best burger I have ever eaten. I ordered The Mission. The burger was juicy and perfectly cooked. It was still steaming when I cut it in half. The guac on the burger with the crisp bacon really made the burger stand out. Our waitress was very sweet. Chef Murphy even came out and said hi to us. Can't wait to go back. I am already craving another burger.

Driving back into the city after wine tastings in Sonoma, we wanted to check out Sausalito and stopped off here for a burger. This restaurant has a great vibe and I loved my burger (the Sirloin burger with salad and a side of fries). A great place to grab a bite at affordable prices!

We went here because my kid has like 4 things she eats and I thought they would have kid fare..... which they do and she liked it. Bravo for that. I wish they had more options for vegetarians or vegans beside one black bean burger that was so-so. Maybe even Boca Burgers or something to substitute for cow would be great. The service was awesome.... the waiter was exceptionally good and very nice.

After a bike ride across the Golden Gate bridge, this was the perfect treat ! Their food is of exceptional quality and they use all natural "never ever" beef for their burgers that makes the meals taste that much more wholesome ! Their creative Nacho Waffle Fries are delicious and I think it's hard to go wrong with any of their burgers. The atmosphere is very nice and for wine lovers there is a pretty good selection. Highly recommend for all the tourists passing through Sausalito like I was !!!

Great burgers! A nice comfortable place that doesn't feel too touristy. Somewhat expensive considering you don't get fries with your burger. But that is a small complaint because everything in the SF area is a bit pricy. :). The only other thing is they have free WiFi, although it didn't work well for me. I would definitely eat here again. Clean, bright, tasty, and friendly - works for me!

Closer to 3.5 stars. While browsing around downtown Sausalito, we stopped by for a late lunch around 2PM. It was still pretty packed, which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Holiday burger (sauerkrat, pastrami) and the Pork Belly burger, with a side of onion rings. While $15 is slightly high for a burger, the creative options available actually makes it worth the cost in my opinion. The onion rings were great but the burgers were unfortunately difficult to eat (too many items stacked on top of each other), and had so much grease that the bottom bun was completely soaked. Each burger also comes with a side of salad rather than the usual fries, but the vinaigrette was heavier on the oil and combined with the already-greasy bun, it was unfortunately just too much.

Food was pretty decent. Setting was pretty decent. Service was pretty decent. My biggest complaint is that they ended up with my credit card, I called several times over a week trying to determine if in fact they had it or not. No one in the restaurant could tell me whether the card was there or not and kept telling me that someone would check the safe and call me back. One week and one day later I finally get a hold of the manager of the restaurant and he tells me yes in fact we have your credit card. Despite the fact that I left my name and phone number several times over the week and requested them to call me about my credit card to let me know if it was there or not. Fail....

I got the turkey burger and skinny girl margarita. My husband got the chicken tacos. Everything was excellent! Portions are huge. We could have easily split the burger. Some things that disappointed me: 1. No substitutions at this place. Want to sub chips for fries - sorry not here. 2. Margarita was great but very little liquid. Mostly ice for an expensive price. 3. It's in a beautiful location but offers indoor seating with no views. 4. Wow, pricey for what you are ordering. Our bill came out to just over $50.

I have to say, a great selection of Burgers well made and just delicious, nice ambience and friendly staff, they even have Gruyere for your burgers! Now who does that? Just yummy, I was their yesterday for a business lunch and I'm planing on going back tonight and that says a lot.

Popular stop with a waiting during the holidays. The fish and chips was my favorite. Burgers were good but needed alittle added seasoning. It comes with a salad but skip that and get some seasoned fries.

This place kind of reminds me of the coffee place on "Friends" with couches and a cozy atmosphere, except with a wine motif. Our waitress had energy and a friendly personality. It seemed like she liked her job and that is a plus. I had the Baja burger. I love hamburgers anyway but the baja burger was outstanding and came with a delicious salad. My guest had fish tacos and she loved those. The price is not cheap but he food was delicious, service was great, atmosphere was fun, and the wait was not long. I saw one reviewer said it is cramped...that is true...but for lunch in a tourist trap town it was good for us...everywhere in Sausolito is shoulder to shoulder...dont step into the bike lane or you will get hit by middle aged man in spandex thinking it is the tour de France. Do go to the Marin headlands and walk the Golden Gate while you are there...breath taking.

All the burgers served here are the 1/2 lb variety and comes with a side salad tossed in olive oil topped with housemade croutons, so bring an appetite. I ordered the Sausalito burger which featured a burger topped with sunny side up egg, melted swiss, and avocadoes. I expected a fried egg, but the runny egg was even better - I love dipping everything into the yolk! Also shared a round of truffle fries with the girls. Was it mindblowingly good? No. I feel like you get more of that truffle flavor with shoestring fries. But Napa Valley Burger Co does theirs as thick cut, well done, with slivers of hard parmesan on top....it was still pretty good though. The ambience was really nice though, all the glass bottle lights were definitely a nice touch!

Came here again with my boyfriend but this time during the lunch rush hour. I tried the truffle burger which was pretty good. We also ordered the waffle fry nachos which weren't as good this time as it was obvious it was sitting around for awhile (the cheese had clumped up!) Would come again but will aim to come as it is about to close so hopefully to have more attentive service when it's not as crowded!

What can I say, I'm a sucker for a good burger. I left with no regrets. Burgers come with a side of salad. If you want fries, that's $5 more. But stick with the salad and leave room for the monstrosity that is your main course.

We stopped in here on Saturday night and were seated right away at the bar. Murphy the manager/ chef, stopped by to include us in a wine cork guessing game and checked on us throughout the night. The bar tender was super helpful and nice as well. Baja fish tacos were awesome! My friend had a burger that was to die for. All in all a great experience... We felt welcome and food was great. A fun restaurant... We will definitely be back!

A great burger shop in Sausalito! After riding bikes from Fisherman's Wharf across the Golden Gate Bridge, we were ready for a break, good food and beer. Napa Valley Burger Co. delivered! A good selection of beers on tap, and unique burger combinations. I would have loved to try the truffle fries...but was also happy to see healthy selections like bison and turkey burgers, and salad on the side. We also tried the guacamole - it was delicious and fresh. A very busy place at lunch with the tourist crowd, but the wait time was pretty short, and the service was fast and friendly.

If I leave Yelp, I would be remembered as a pioneer for unusual eats; including my passion for unique burgers as one of my favorite morsel. (Don't worry, I'm not planning to leave Yelp and will make every effort in feeding you my reviews). When you think of Napa Valley, you think of fine wine and gourmet dining. You get those two and then some at this cool lounge/bar/restaurant in the touristy part of beautiful Sausalito. As you walk in to this cabin-like restaurant, you do get the feel of a vineyard cabin in Sausalito. There are also pictures and insignias to remind you of the wine country. I like the comfortable lounge chairs near the bar with a TV. That is where my date and I sat. We split another unusual burger: "The Mac & Cheese burger". For $13.95, the unusual sandwich had a 1/3 of a medium well patty, cheddar cheese, slice jalapeno peppers, bacon bits, a cooked egg and mac & cheese. As expected, the cheesy pasta is from a Kraft box. The burger was thick, but a bit too dry. Burger: yelp.com/biz_photos/0xK5… We also ordered an $8.00 basket of cheesy tater tots. The dish of tater tots is just like a bonehead frozen bag of Ore Ida. The side is nothing too exciting. Tater tots: yelp.com/biz_photos/0xK5… My date had a local Sangiovese for $8.00. She is more of a wine person than I am. And she likes the local red wine. I had a Maui Mai Tai cocktail. My $10.00 cocktail consists of light and dark rum, sour mix, pineapple juice and Orange Curacao. I don't know what kind of high-octane booze was put in that cocktail. But that is one freakin' potent drink. One small sip of the cocktail, I was instantly "buzzed". I haven't had that feeling since my frozen Fat Tuesday drink when I was in Las Vegas a few years back. My drink: yelp.com/biz_photos/0xK5… Service was good and the dude that took our order was alert to our needs. I was disappointed that I spent $50.00 for mediocre meal. Blame my date for coming here!

Good burgers in a busy touristy side of Sausalito. The burgers were tasty though the three of us all had drier more cooked that normal patties. Otherwise, the bun was perfect and did not fall apart which I loved. Pricey for what it is but considering the location, it's not too bad. Service was brisk but not enough to be called neglect. It's a busy place.

Love this place! Right on the main street, can sit outside and enjoy the sites. Had great service, and VERY great food. The Silverado Trail Veggie Burger (black bean & quinoa burger, roasted peppers, provolone cheese, arugula, chipotle mayo) is a two-timer! Plenty to eat...can take the other half home for later. Also, can substitute GF bun in place of regular bun...very appealing. Overall, a great time and will definitely try them again next time in Sausalito.

I've been here a couple of times and i would definitely go back. The burgers are very tasty and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Some of them are "one-offs": burgers you want to try once and enjoy but wouldn't want to order regularly. I'd put the Russian River burger in that category, and the Stinson Beach. Some of the others are just great, no-nonsense burgers, like their base offering. It's expensive but you get a large serving; no need for sides unless you want to split your burger with someone else. Where they fail is in the wine pairings. Really cheap, uninteresting wines, but charged full price. And their pairings are more or less random: notice that the pairing for their basic burger and for the junior burger (same burger, different size) are completely different wines. It's basically a marketing ploy, so order the wine you think you'd like and ignore the recommendations--or actually just ignore the wine b/c it's not worth the price. Also, note to management: turn down the AC! This has got to be the coldest restaurant I've ever eaten in. It's not pleasant to be bundled up when you're trying to eat dinner.

Though u don't get a great view of the bay from here, but their burgers are things to die for! We ordered their spicy chicken burger and the turkey burger, both were yummy! And the Heineken was chilled, so no complaints there! There was the memorial day rush, so we had to wait before getting a seat (shared the table with some other lady it was so crowded), but service was quick i'd say.

I love this place. I love the food, the Moscow mules and staff. The chef even brought out a sample of his signature Octoberfest burger. They could not be more fun and welcoming. I moved to nob hill 1 month ago and have already been here three times. Sorry to all the people who cant believe they have to "wait" to get a table on the main street in sunny Sausalito. It is well worth it.

After our bike ride from Fisherman's Wharf to Sausalito (crossing over the Golden Gate Bridge), my friend and I were famished. The smell of food was in the air, and our grumbling tummies were probably the reason why we chose a place to eat so quickly. Burgers. Yes, burgers sounded delicious after a long bike ride. Of course we referred to our handy dandy good food locater (YELP) to make sure the meal we chose would not only silence our tummies, but also delight our tastebuds. Which brings us to Napa Valley Burger Co. It was pretty crowded, and we had a choice of waiting for a table, or taking a seat on the bar stools by the window. I chose the bar stools. Now thinking, tummy would be satisfied, tastebuds would be happy, and I get to people watch too! Yeah, creeper. I don't care, you know you all do it! I ordered the Sonoma burger. I'm a sucker for a fried egg in a burger. I read that, and the choice was made. Match that with some GOOUDa and BACON, and you've got yourself a winner. Delicious. I had to cut it in half because it was enormous to bite into. My diet told me to just eat half, but I was hungry, had just been on a bike for three hours, and the egg, gouda, and bacon were calling out to me to enjoy its deliciousness. They knew packing it up and eating the leftovers later would never suffice. So I succumbed to the smell, the taste, the yummy-ness factor, and ate the whole entire burger. Yes. Worth it. The service was awesome. Our server was very attentive. He came to our table several times to refill our water (I was thirsty), ask us how our food was, and whatever else he could. Great service. I really can't complain.. Now, I feel I must put a slight disclaimer in this review. I was really hungry. So could the hunger have something to do with this four star review? Possible. But take what you can get. I enjoyed every last bit of my meal.

Surprised to find such great burgers right in the middle of tourist-central. The owners obviously take care to provide a quality product. Good meat, good bun, good fries. Everything great. Lots of burger specials. Not sure if they rotate, but the Russian River burger was a winner. Our waitress was great. There was a waiter (or perhaps manager) who was kind of snotty (in a burger place? really?) but he did smile and thank us when we left. If you're in the middle of Sausalito and want a burger near the water, this is the place to go.

Why people wait 45 minutes for a table here is mind boggling. Instead of waiting, our party of 2 slipped into a sleezy corner of the bar and waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the bartender before ordering a mediocre $15 burger and a dry, oily salad each. Bottom line is, don't come here! Better, just stay in SF and skip Sausalito all together. Unless, your scene is 50 year old, upper class, privileged white folk and international tourists.

The atmosphere is better than the service and food. Our waiter couldn't quite handle the lunch rush and forgot to be friendly, I guess. The onion rings were really tough (weird, right?), and the BLT salad was just so-so. Napa Valley Burger Co. was pretty unmemorable, and I'm sort of disappointed I wasted a meal in San Francisco here.

It was a hot day and my boyfriend and I were starving. We saw how nice it looked from across the street and stopped by for some gourmet burgers! The decor is amazing and I love how you can watch the chefs make your food; however, I think more people were occupied with watching the FIFA World Cup. We were seated immediately and ordered the Sausalito burger and the Vintage burger. It's weird, but burgers don't come with fries - they come with salad! No substitutions allowed, so you have to order fries separately. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food to come out and the wait was totally worth it! I got a gigantic burger the size of my face!! Okay, that's an exaggeration, but it was so big I couldn't hold it in my hands. I ended up using a knife and fork to eat it little by little. The salad is an excellent compliment to the burger! At first I questioned the legitimacy of serving it with a burger, but the tangy vinagrette with the crunchy arugula added a nice touch to the flavor of the burger. The egg on my Sasalito was a perfect sunny side-up complete with the gooey yolk. The avocado was buttery and a lovely shade of green. I wish I could have the burger recipe because the patty was thick and juicy with all the right spices. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but I felt I was getting my money's worth for such an amazing meal. I shared the fries with my boyfriend because the portions are huge, and they're also really awesome. Nicely fried to golden, crisp perfection. My only complaint is the service, which is a bit unorganized despite the restaurant being partially empty. Our server was sometimes missing, so I'd have to call another server to get us water who would then pass us to another server. Later our original server brought us our food, but when we asked for a to-go box, we had to get another server again who went back to grab our server. However, everyone is super friendly and accomodating! Also the bathrooms are subpar compared to the rest of the restaurant. They weren't too clean and the smell of flowers fought to hide something bad. However, this is probably a one time occurence and I can't blame Napa Valley for a customer's personal troubles. If I was in the area again, I'd definitely visit! I'd like to try the crab meat burger.

I'm really glad I ended up at this joint. They have a variety of gluten free burgers along with free range eggs; which was a plus for you organic lovers out there. There really aren't too many spots to eat in Sausalito, and by far, this has been one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I ordered the Oakville mushroom burger and added an extra egg, along with a house salad- $15 bucks, a bit steep but I was only able to finish half the burger. Also opted for the truffle fries for $9, it was fairly descent, not the best truffle fries that I have tasted. Portions of the fries were tiny, but my enormous burger made up for it- refer to my photo please (the height of it was 3/4ths the height of my fork). Burger patty was juicy with flavor, too bad it was so huge, I wasn't able to hold it and fully enjoy the whole process. If you're ever in the area, check this place out. Don't think you'll be disappointed. Really great views of the bay outside of the place on a nice sunny day.

I was greeted pleasantly at the door and made my way to the bar. Bartender, Tom was great, funny jokes. I order the napa jr. burger. Perfect to say the least. I liked how chef Victor followed-up to make sure my burger was perfect. I am new to town and I think I have found my new spot. There are 15 burgers total and I have 14 more to go!

really solid burger here at Napa Valley Burger Company! first the location is perfect in quaint little Sausalito. Right in the middle of all the shops and other restaurants plus its right near the water. added plus was that our wait time for a table was about 20 minutes but their buzzer worked within a block radius so we just sat near the water and people watched until our table was ready haha so i love me a burger and fries and it was so hard for me to make a decision since everything sounded so good haha. ultimately i went with the baja burger that comes with guacamole and bacon. so at about $15 its a pricey burger but you can taste the quality! the meat had a good light pink center and was so juicy and delicious. the toppings all tasted fresh as well and each burger is served with a side salad so that you can get your veggies haha. oh yeah and even though the menu says no substitutions they were able to make some slight accommodations for our group. for instance, i just asked for the sliced jalapaneos on the side instead of on my burger :) for side orders, our table of 5 shared the truffle fries and their regular house fries. both were good but i think i def preferred the truffle fries especially with the sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top. the fries do come out first before the burger so ration it out accordingly if you like to have it with your burger haha. service throughout our whole meal was pretty good too and all in all this was a fantastic lunch.

I had high hopes for this place, particularly because I liked its idea of pairing two tasty things that aren't traditionally put together: burgers and wine. It was an especially hot day, so although I would have preferred to sit outside, we opted for air-conditioned seating inside. Unfortunately the owner doesn't know how to use AC or doesn't allow it, because it was uncomfortably hot and muggy inside. A thermostat on the wall read 81 degrees. The calamari was rubbery and tasteless and came out early even though my sister ordered it as her meal. My mom and I both ordered the California burger (avocado, sliced jalapeños, cheddar, bacon and chipotle mayo), hers medium and mine medium-well, yet they both came out well done. The burger was good, we just would have enjoyed them more if they weren't so dry. The burgers came with a simple mixed-greens salad, and we all shared a side of sweet potato fries. The fries were very good, it just annoys me when restaurants only offer fries a la carte. I doubt i'll ever eat here again if I'm back in Sausalito. The two stars instead of one is for the neat concept, atmosphere, decor and decent service.

So my husband and i went there this past Saturday. Waited about 30 mins to be seated. Had excellent service which was much better than the food. Burger size was great but the taste was not there. No flavor. I ordered the vintage burger (I think it was called) with cheese, my husband ordered the turkey burger with cranberry chutney. His was OK. Taste and quality wise was about a 5. My burger flavor has yet to be found. I added salt and pepper. Still no flavor. We also ordered the seasoned fries, it did have seasoning on them but they tasted like they were left in the fryer too long and absorbed all the grease. Yuck! The best thing there is the beer, and you can get that almost anywhere. No need to revisit this place.

Beautiful day in Sausalito, great food and service at this restaurant. The onion rings were breaded nicely and not greasy. The burger was very tasty. I would definitely go back.

We are burger aficionados. I don't want to sound like a snob, but we've had our fair share of burgers. We go to a burger competition back home in Denver every year and judge the best burgers from the area. Every time we go on vacation, we find a decent looking burger place to give it a try. So when I tell you that the burgers we had here were uniformly excellent, I just want you to know that this is not my first hamburger. We were, in fact, very surprised by the quality of the burgers here, considering it appeared to be almost exclusively filled with tourists, us included, the majority of which had probably ridden bicycles across a bridge recently and would eat a slab of raw meat if you plopped it down in front of them. The restaurant is big and open and loud and full of strange foreign accents, customers and waiters both. But our waiter was surprisingly funny and on top of things for what appeared to be a 60 year old Eastern European man. I had the special, which was a Tequila Burger, something like a bacon guacamole burger with pork belly and a tequila lime sauce. Tanya had the veggie burger, which was homemade and one of the best veggie burgers and patties that she's ever had. Ingredients were fresh, portions were more than fair (which they should be, because these are not cheap burgers), and the cheese fries were adequate. The fries themselves were hot and crispy and fresh from the frier, but the cheese could have been more abundant and more liquid. My only real complaint is that there are only two one-person bathrooms in the building, which might be enough if it weren't full of the aforementioned recently-biked tourists, all of whom desperately need to pee and wash their hands. But man, I would eat here again with no reservations. This was one of the more pleasant surprises of our whole vacation.

Walking through Sausalito we saw the biggest line outside this place and knew we had to check it out. This place does not disappoint! THE best burger I've had in a long time (avocado, smoked gouda cheese, hickory bacon AND an onion ring??) and a great beer to pair with it. Only regret was not getting the sweet potato tater tots that we saw at our neighboring tables. Food. Envy. Great food, fun people and local beer on tap. Perfect place to stop during a weekend in Sausalito!

One of my favorite parts of our day in Sausalito. The town itself was just average to me, considering everything I had heard about it, so a nice dinner before our ferry ride back to San Francisco was just what we needed. Our burgers were so yum! The only negative is they don't let you sub ANYTHING so you better like what the menu has listed and the different pairings. I imagine it is to not confuse the kitchen, which was in view and seemed to follow Six Sigma (kidding). But, I guess if it keeps the orders coming out fast, then I can't really fault them for this rule.

We have been to Sausalito several times and we always see a line of people waiting to get seated at this restaurant. We have been wanting to eat here but it always looks very busy and have not wanted to wait. In any case, we finally decided to wait for seating and give this place a try. I was very pleasantly surprised at how fast they sat us down considering there was a lot of people. At first glance of the menu I felt the burgers were a little expensive ($16) but I had no idea how they looked, made or tasted. Let me just say Wow!!! These burgers are a great size and taste fantastic. I have eaten some really good burgers but this is just wonderful in every way. We also tried some of there side items and they were very good as well. To be honest though, as large as the burgers are you don't really need to order any sides to get full unless you just want to try something additional. If you go to Sausalito I really recommend you eat here and don't worry about the amount of people you see outside waiting. They will seat you down fairly quickly and the wait is well worth it.

Biked to Sausalito the other day with my traveling companions. In the rain. And after the ride and being soaked through we needed to warm up with some good grub and good beer. This place supplied both. We were greeted and told our wait would be about five minutes so we grabbed a seat at the bar. I ordered a beer, as did K, and the girls had some juice. After being seated we met our friendly waiter (all staff were friendly and seemed to be really enjoying themselves) and started perusing the menu. Which had some mighty delicious sounding burgers. We decided on the turkey (thanksgiving burger, anyone?), Bleu cheese/bacon, four cheese, and baja. No one spoke as we inhaled the deliciousness. Since the burgers don't come with fries we ordered tots for the table. Kinda wish they'd come with the burger. Still ate them. The burgers are served with a wilty mix of greens that wasn't too good. The awesomeness of the burgers made up for it, though. Excellent lunch spot for your next trip to cute Sausalito.

Delicious burgers. With all the "gourmet" burger places popping up lately this is the first in a while with creative choices that actually looked good. We had the Lamb burger and the bison burger. Both were delicious juicy and flavorful. The waffle nachos were awesome and the jalapeños were the perfect touch. The salad looked good but had no dressing, so just went to waste, what a shame. Will be back to try others. Very heavy though, still in food coma, will do the lettuce wrapped burger next time. Loved the idea of wine pairing, will do that next time.

My friend and I came here for lunch one weekend, and neither of us ordered a burger I know I know, we weren't that hungry...BUT we did order some food! We had the Baja Fish Tacos, which I highly recommend if you don't feel like burger either. We also got a salami and cheese plate, which was really nice with our glasses of wine. It comes with olives and house crostini. The waiter was super friendly and kept checking on us even though we sat outside. The chef also paid a visit to make sure our food was good.

This review is late in coming but no less important or encouraging. My wife and I were in the area as part of our anniversary celebration and while walking around Sausalito, we came across this restaurant. There was everything to like about it, from the location and the ambiance to the excellent service and the fantastic food! The chef came out and spoke with us, and if he hadn't, we would have sought him out to give our praise and thanks because those were some of the BEST...most succulent, most filling, tastiest, high quality burgers that we had ever had. This restaurant is on my "would DEFINITELY visit again" list.

My friends and I stopped here after a bike ride across the the Golden Gate Bridge, the staff was super friendly and had us seated in no time. The chili and nachos was good and the bar man even added a side of guacamole at my request, even though it wasn't on the menu. They even made sure the screen in front of me got switched to the game I wanted to watch! A definite plus. (Just get a burger; don't order a salad)

Never been here before! The service was quick and very polite! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that the cook station was in the dining area. I had the guacamole and chips and the fish tacos, both were fantastic! It is a bit pricy though so be prepared for that but if you want a burger this is a great place. The ones that I saw coming out were huge.... It seemed like some were 8 inches tall!

Overpriced and under seasoned. The vaunted truffle fries are not so great. Lots of extra charges for things gratis elsewhere.

Stopped in a couple weeks ago while enjoying a beautiful day in Sausalito. We were trying not to spend too much money and get something good to eat. NVBC did not disappoint. Great burger with quality ingredients. Cooked perfectly as were the sweet potato fries. I look forward to going back. Nice job!

Came here after a long hike near Baker Beach. Got there around 4:30 PM on a Saturday and was seated right away. The restaurant is classier looking than your regular burger joint but keeps a laid back vibe with friendly waiters. I ordered the cranberry turkey burger on gluten free buns with a side of sweet potato fries. Note to self: don't try to eat healthy when going to a burger restaurant, what were you thinking?! I've had many turkey burgers before and liked them. Napa Valley Burger Co. uses an "all natural turkey patty" but I found it lacking flavor. The sweet potato fries were great though! My companion wisely ordered the baja burger with seasoned fries. Both really good!

Fantastic burgers. I had the veggie burger it was great. Sweet potato fries really good. Their unique cocktails are a must try. It's always been busy when we've come but the wait is worth it. The wait staff is on top of it once you get seated.

Great burgers, tends to be pricey for a burger place $14-$18 for a burger, plus fries are extra and don't come to the table with your burger but are served more like an appetizer. A burger, fries and a beer for two plus tip will run ya about $65.

I had the black bean quinoa veggie burger. Its filling and tastes really good. I'm giving 3 stars because it's expensive at $15... but its a tourist place, so thats ok, I guess...

I want to eat all the fries here forever. And the veggie burger was quite a treat as well. If you're strolling through quaint Sausalito, this is a great stop for a bite to eat. And a pretty heavy-handed pour of wine on tap - can't argue with that.

I'm so glad we decided to stop here for lunch!! Our tour bus driver recommended it and said we wouldn't be disappointed eating here. He was right! You would think by the name, I would have ordered a burger, but I couldn't pass up the baja fish tacos. Best decision ever! They were definitely the best fish tacos I've ever eaten!! They were fresh and had so much flavor. They also came with two different salsas that were equally as good. I wish I didn't live 8 hours from here our it would definitely be my new favorite spot! :)

Were walking around Sausalito and we found this place. Looked like a cool little restaurant. Got the fish and chips which was very good. They gave a ton of fish, which was nice. Brother in law got some nacho cheese fries which were very good. Prices were fair and the service was friendly. Would definitely come back here again.

Really big burgers, I'd recommend sharing! I had the VINTAGE BURGER and it was really fresh. Didn't like the salad it came with though. Little on the expensive side for burgers, but I guess that's because of its location. Not too shabby.

Very crowded on the weekend we went, but got a table right away for 2. Got the veggie burger and calamari. Both were delicious. Friendly wait staff, but the entire place seemed a little cramped with the tables too close together. The biggest thing I was impressed with was getting seated right away, after seeing how crowded the place was.

Woah, woah, woah. Other burger joints, Imma let you finish...but just so you know, Napa Valley Burger Co has the best burgers in the Bay Area! Seriously though, my friend and I set out on a mission with a single goal: Find the "Father's Office Burger" of Northern California. We've tried a number of places. I must say, for "Most Similar" to the 'Office Burger,' Umami puts up a good fight. Still, for the prize of "Best Burger," there is zero competition. Napa. Napa Valley Burger Co, all the way. We started with their Waffle Nachos (waffle fries with cheese and bacon on top, with sour cream and guacamole on the side...). We knew it was a ridiculous call, since it was going to be so much food...but they were so, so, so ridiculously good. Next, 2 burgers. My friend got The Vintage Burger while I got the bleu cheese one (Calistoga, I think?). Both were good, but I think he won the competition of 'which is better?' The meat is cooked to a perfect medium rare. The toppings are fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The bun seems like it would be tough, but it's soft and a perfect sweetness. Well done, Napa Burger Co...well done. The only complaint here is that they close at 6pm. 6pm?!?! I guess it IS in a tourist area... Oh well. We arrived at 5:40 and they sat us no problem. The service was super friendly, very attentive, and all around excellent. I will be back to Napa Valley Burger Co. Oh how I'll be back...

This is a great little lunch spot. Very cozy and casual atmosphere. I had the sangria, which was delicious. The burgers are juicy and big and the fries always hot and fresh. The fish tacos are also pretty good and come with chips and salsa (great salsa!). Will have to get chips and salsa to start next time. The staff was friendly and quick without making you feel rushed and prices are very reasonable. It's definitely worth stopping here if you're in the neighborhood.

Great meal and drink to break up our bike ride from across the Golden Gate Bridge to Tiburon. The hamburger my hubby ordered had standard toppings with a unique twist (bacon, BBQ, cheese)--and my Baja fish tacos were delicious--great salsas on side too--big portions, neither if us could finish. Had a great cocktail and beer too:-). I think I would have given this only four stars if we hadn't scored the great sidewalk seat outside (inside looked crowded and noisy)--pleasantly surprised by the great outdoor service as well.

This was a yummy burger and the tater tots were really good. I'm knocking off one star for service because we seemed to be forgotten when we took a table outside. There then seemed to be some dispute between servers and we received some of the attitude for their problems. Not cool. For an expensive (but good) burger, let's keep it light in front of the customers.

Went here with a group of friends for a Saturday in Sausalito. We usually eat on the water, but the standard place was closed for renovations - and after discussion, we (the guys) decided you just can NOT go wrong with a place with this name. So off we went! Ok, at first, I had a bit of trepidation. The friggin' menu has...I kid you not....wine pairings for their burger options. Say wha'? I chose to overlook that, though, and when it came time to order, went completely off the menu...ordering (yes) a bacon swissburger (WHY this wasn't standard on the menu boggles the mind. Oh. Wait. Wine pairings. 'nuff said). My wife ordered her burger, as did our friends, along with fries, bottomless drinks, etc. Oh...and a good bud ordered (cough) cheesy tater tots (like what is he...five?). So the mountains...er...burgers showed up a bit later. We all actually took some time out to figure out just how one shoves a mountain...er...burger...into ones mouth, when the mountain..er...burger...is roughly 453 times larger. Geometric discussions aside, we dug in, and THOROUGHLY enjoyed. and my bud? Thought those cheesy tater tots were da bom. A bit on the pricey side.....two mountains...er...burgers, a side of fries, and two drinks ran close to $50. BUT....that side, great ambiance, great friends, and a VERY short walk to the water makes this hard to beat. in fact, the only real negative I had was that they put sauteed onions on ALL their burgers....I kinda sorta hate that....and ordered mine without...and of course, it showed up with. Now, yes, I scraped it aside, but that taste lingered. Just a slight ding on an otherwise great meal. Definitely recommended.

One of the best burgers we've had. We had Spicy Chicken Burger - Good Stinson Burger - Very Very Good Sausalito Burger - Very Good The meat was rightly cooked, was fresh and very flavorful. I especially loved the fact that fries don't come default, instead a yummy salad does. The salad has mixed greens, watermelon radish, tomato, house made yummy soft croutons and a yummy dressing. Forces you to eat healthy. Staff was great especially our waiter (John Stamos look-alike). One star less for the rude hostess at the front. After a really long wait, my kids were really hungry and went up once to ask her how much more the wait would be and she was really rude to them.

We popped in here at about 1pm on a Sunday for lunch. About a 10min wait in late march. Not a lot of flexibility on the menu -- no substitutions and they cook all the burgers medium. However the food arrives quite quickly. I had the Stilman (?) BBQ burger with applewood bacon Gouda and onion ring. My BF had the Sausalito burger with avocado and egg. My Gouda was not melted. His egg was VERY runny. Both burger were difficult to keep together to eat, but god flavors. We had wine on tap; both were good. Waiter was quirky but nice.

We visited as tourists after reading the Yelp reviews. Very different for us is the fact that we went two days in a row. The first was for a try and the second was to take a friend who insisted we take him there after we made it sound so good (he is a local). The Pros: 1. Great location and atmosphere 2. The service was terrific (ask for Francisco who is amazing) 3. The entire selection of gourmet burgers, the fries, the tacos are all delicious (or appear so) and made with very fresh ingredients 4. They offer a "Junior" burger that is smaller and includes a salad for $10 5. Unique draught wines from nearly all the Napa Valley grape types 6. Gluten free buns for those so inclined (Veggie Burger available too) The Cons: 1. Yep, they are pricey (hey, it is Sausalito & the tourist section folks!) 2. Only 3 craft beers on draught (in fairness, it is more of a draught wine bar) 3. A bit on the noisy inside with only 3 tables on the sidewalk outside 4. Not the restaurant's fault, but many of the tourist patrons we encountered over both days were simply rude (we've seen this type all over the world) The burgers and the fries are large enough portion sizes for a couple to share (which we did on day 2) and it all goes nicely with a half or full carafe of your favorite wine. They will let you sample any (and all if you prefer) of the draught beers and wines before you make a choice. Though I rate it a 4, as a "burger joint" it is tops.

After several disappointing meals in SF, we walked past here after a road trip - amazing burger, really high quality! Kids loved the chicken tenders too.

The ambiance and service is perfect for a romantic date or family outing. If you like burgers, you can't go wrong with the baja.

The food was terrible and the service was worse. And while the experience in the restaurant was bad enough, my sister-in-law was actually ill after eating here. The food in question tasted odd and when my sister-in-law asked the staff about it, the staff was hideously unprofessional. She had only tasted her food at that point. The dish ended up making her sick by the time we got home. Lucky for her she stopped at a few bites otherwise her return flight to London the next day would've have been terrible. Staff exhibited poor training and bad manners.

I love giant, juicy burgers! Who doesn't? Even vegetarians wish they could do a better job imitating a giant, juicy burger. I tried the Sausalito Burger (with sunny-side egg, Swiss, and avocado) and Pork Belly Burger (with pork belly on top of a beef patty); both are excellent. The side salad with a tarragon-red wine dressing was refreshing too -- it actually made me feel healthy after eating the burgers. The truffle fries was delicious -- it probably counter-acted all the health benefits of the previously mentioned salad though.

I'm giving this one a five star review for sure!! It was mine and my fiancés first time in Sausalito and we were really in the mood for a good burger. Not having checked any reviews on yelp we decided to go with our gut! When we saw the menu posted so conveniently on the front door we knew within 2 seconds we found our spot! We didn't even have to wait long for outdoor seating! I ordered the Baja burger and can officially say I have a new favorite!! It was perfect! From the juicy pattie to the slight spice from the jalapeños it was amazing!!! Messy I'll admit but so worth it!! Friendly and helpful staff only made things even better! We will definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to go back!!!

Excellent service, food and environment!! We have no expectation; we just entered to this restaurant for its "catchy" name. It results in the best service I had in California (I stayed on Fisherman Warf, Napa, and Union Square). I asked for the Sausalito Burger and it was the best! The meet was cooked to perfection. Again, great service!

This place delivers on a solid burger. I had the popular Sonoma burger(see pics) and my kid's mom had the veggie burger. This place was perfect for lunch after a long day at the Discovery Museum, located nearby. I definitely would recommend this spot. Parking terrible(-) Great selection of beers on tap (+) Variety of burgers (+)

My son said he's had great burgers here before, so chose this today. Unfortunately, my burger was somewhat dry. My husband ordered calamari as an appetizer, but it came after our entrees. His fish (and chips) was a bit dry as well. I thought the man next to me was about to become apoplectic when his side order of fries was delayed. A bit disappointing for an $84 tab that didn't even include any alcohol.

Totally underwhelmed. We split a truffle burger and caesar salad, as well as fries, when we came here the first time a few months ago and the food was just meh. I couldn't believe the burger was $17. They also charged for soda refills, which is fair, I guess, but I haven't seen a restaurant do that in forever. The service was really bad. The bartender is incredibly rude. The burgers are mostly in the teens when it comes to price and are served without fries. It doesn't strike me as very "napa valley" like...more like a tourist institution. The room is really, really loud. Just seems like another place that doesn't care about costumers because it has troves of tourists flocking in its doors. I won't be back.

Nice spot after Biking over the golden gate into Sausalito. No bay view but the staff was friendly and our good came out fast enough to catch the ferry. I had the fish tacos which were a good size (3) and my husband had the bison burger- which he described as disappointing ( in interest of full disclosure- he's had a LOT of burgers). Overall nice and not super crowded on Memorial Day!

We first walked in and it had a nice atmosphere but was pretty crowded. It took a while for the waiter to come to our table but eventually took our drink and food orders. Our food came fast and was delicious but we needed refills on our drinks. We had asked three different waiters to get us a refill and no one brought anything so we had to get up with our glasses and go to the bar to get refills ourselves. That made us angry because we had to sit there for a long time and couldn't eat without a drink. Later, the manager came and asked if we were doing okay and we told him our situation with the drinks he apologized and comped the refill. He said that our waiter was having some personal issues. We watched the manager walk away and he was just standing in front of the restaurant the whole time while we were eating. There were so many things customers needed and he was standing around. We were waiting for our check because we had to catch the ferry before it left. We asked different waiters for the check and nobody brought it!! We had to get up again and ask someone to get it for us. Finally they brought it along with a survey. We planned to inform them on all their issues with service but the entire survey was all about the food which we had no issue with. Instead, we wrote out our comments on the back and gave it to the hostess at the door. We told her that this restaurant should be on the show restaurant impossible because it needs a lot of work... We ended up missing the ferry and had to wait an hour for the next one all because of this bad service.

After biking our way from San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and into Sausalito, we arrived hungry and with about an hour to kill before the ferry ride back. We parked the bikes near the ferry terminal and walked along Bridgeway looking for something to eat. Before we could get too far along, we stumbled upon the Napa Valley Burger Company. A quick glance at the menu hanging outside and we were sold. As we were somewhat short on time, we quickly glanced through the menu again and were ready with our order when the server arrived. I decided on the Silverado Trail veggie burger ($13.95). This combined a freshly made black bean patty with roasted peppers, arugula, and chipotle mayo. This sandwich was very good, easily one of the better veggie burgers I've had. All burgers are served with a fresh Napa Field greens salad, which was just okay. Fortunately we decided to also order a share-able side of sweet potato fries ($5.50). The perfectly cooked fries were served in a paper funnel inside of a metal pail. Though a bit on the pricey side, the serving size was plenty for myself, my wife, and our toddler aged son to all share. My wife ordered the Baja fish tacos ($15.95). This massive plate of food consisted of three tortillas with a seared fresh catch of the day and an ancho chile crema served over cabbage, pickled red onions and tomato salsa, finished with a three cheese blend and avocado slice. Also on the plate were plenty of chips and a couple of dipping sauces. I didn't have any of the tacos, but my wife was in love with them. And the chips and dips were all quite tasty too. The prices might be a little high at the Napa Valley Burger Company, but the food is excellent. And the more I think about it, I bet the prices are all pretty high in the touristy town of Sausalito, even more than they already are in northern California. This was among one of the best meals we had on our vacation.

Yum Yum! The burgers here are DELICIOUS! I also found the menu exotic for a burger place! They have about dozen different types of burgers from Magic Mushroom with sauteed mushrooms, chardonnay butter, baby swiss cheese to Baja which is served with smashed avocado, sliced jalapenos, aged cheddar cheese, applewod bacon, chipotle mayo. The meats were tender and tasty. The burgers are huge and typically are served with a spring salad on the side. You have to order the fries separately. If you are there, don't be boring! Order some "exotic burgers" and make sure to not get a simple fries, but instead try the Waffle Fries! You wont regret it! :) Our server was hilarious! Every time he brought us a dish, he said this is your special food with "zero calories"! He maid us all crack up every time...

I went to this restaurant about 3 weeks ago and I actually liked what I got (a chicken sandwich & sweet potato tater tots). The service was really really slow and we were about to miss our ferry so we got our food to go. I went back there today and it was extremely crowded so I asked a guy at the front where I could place a take out order and was told (in a real snooty manner) we don't do take out.... (blank stare) When I was there 3 weeks ago and we were in a hurry to get on the ferry about 8 of us got take out! But today you don't do take out???? Shocked at his answer I immediately left but while walking to my car I decided to call and find out if the person I spoke to was correct. The female that answered told me that they do not do take out because they don't have time. HHHHMMMMM..... I drove 43 miles telling my friend that he had to taste one of their burgers because they looked good and they're saying they don't do take out!!!! I've never ever been to a restaurant that doesn't do take out... When I got in my car I decided to call back and complain to the manager and the female that answer informed me that she was the manager... I informed her of my prior visit and that we got take out then and I let her know that I drove 43 miles to Sausalito, the place was too crowded and I think its ridiculous that you're telling me you don't do take out. I asked to speak to the owner and she said he wasn't there.... She then said that if I would have told her that I drove that far she would have honored my request for take out and said she would take the order.... I was already in my car on my way out of there (there's no parking and a million people on the streets... REALLY) The sandwich I had was good after I fixed it up when I got home but I really wanted my friend who's a burger lover to have one of their burgers because they're really big (don't know if they taste good or not) but he loves burgers.... I'LL NEVER EVER go back to the napa valley burger company because THE SERVICE SUCKS!!!! AND IF YOUR SERVICE SUCKS YOU SHOULD AT LEAST DO TAKE OUT SO PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO SIT THERE AND DEAL WITH YOU..... Oh and they're ridiculously over priced... I paid $18 for a chicken sandwich (ONLY) that I had to hook up when I got home.... What was I thinking by going back there????????????? SMH

Giant burgers. Great beer on tap and available in bottles. Service was fast and the service was friendly. I went on a weekday before a meeting and it was a normal crowded during the lunch hour feel. However it was a fun atmosphere. I had the Sausalito (I think). It had and egg and avocado on it. It was to die for. Perfectly cooked. Juicy. Giant. It came with a side salad, which was good too but it was a salad. There were about 15 burgers on the menu which makes it difficult to decide on one. However all the burgers I saw come out of the kitchen looked equally as good and giant. Yes it's pricey. Yes it's a "tourist" place. Yes you should go there.

Gluten-free brothers and sisters, pick up your fork and rejoice! I think I have found our salvation - at Napa Valley Burger Company. I have been gluten-free for 20 years and feel so much better for it. As many of you gluten-free folks know, making gluten-free choices just gets to be a way of life, it's no big deal. But, occasionally you really, really want some of those old comfort foods. And for me, burgers and beer are my mainstay comfort foods. So I was really stoked when I heard about Napa Valley Burger Company. Here's my experience: I checked out the menu and the Baja Burger catches my eye. Avocados, jalapenos, cheese, bacon! And a 1/2 pound burger patty. How can that be bad??? Their burgers are free range, no antibiotics or hormones. I saw the table next door get a basket of cheesy tater tots, they looked great, I ordered those too. No burger and beer is complete without the beer! I had never tried Estrella Damm Daura before, but our server said it was very good, big taste and full mouth. So we gave it a try. And we were not disappointed! When the burger arrives, it is huge. And hot and dripping with goodness. The avocado was plentiful, the jalapenos have just the right amount of hot, and the bacon was extra crispy. The gluten free bun was superb. It had great texture, was not too heavy and bready like many gluten free buns are. It soaked-up all the drippings from the burger - perfect! And I think Jesus Christ may have cooked the tater tots, they could not have been any better! Fortunately I was not driving, I had two of the Estrella Damm Daura beers, they are great, absolutely no sacrifice here. After all this food I was pretty stuffed. Normally I do not eat dessert, but everything had been so perfect, I decided to go for the root beer float, it's a childhood favorite. The root beer is even organic! Our server was very friendly and very attentive, she suggested I try a shot of Jack Daniels in the root beer float. I had never heard of this. But since everything had been so good, I thought, why not. The root beer float was over the top! We passed it around, I almost did not get it back! I would change absolutely nothing about my choices. Food was great, service was great, we all had a really good time. So gluten-free folks, when the urge for burgers and beer strikes, Napa Valley Burger Company is the place to go. Amen!

This place bummed me out. My young nephew liked it because his burger was about a foot tall and the waiter steadily refilled the cokes, but it seemed almost like a Hard Rock Cafe to me. A bus full of tourists unloaded at the restaurant right before we got there, so that probably informed my opinion, but I thought this place was overpriced and cheesy.

Who says a trip through Napa is all about the wine? Napa Valley Burger is one of those must-stops while in Sausalito. Huge, grass-fed burgers, grilled to perfection per your request with a generous side of fries and friendly service. Dining area is large and welcoming but grab a seat outside if you can get one for some great people watching and the cool bay air. The fish and chips were some of the best I've ever had. Fresh, flakey, tender mahi mahi, breaded just right, not too much batter, with a side of their house-made tartar sauce and seasoned fries. That, a huge iced tea, beautiful day, friendly staff and great people watching... this is the stuff good days and sweet dreams are made of and I look forward to finding my way back again some day.

Positives first: - Gluten free buns for the burgers! Yay! - Friendly staff - Nice location - Nice selection Negtives: - Unfortunately the burgers were very dry. Soooo so dry. I'm sorry, but you'd expect a BURGER resteraunt to be able to make somewhat juicy burgers, right? - Fries must be ordered seperately - The waiter forgot our drinks - A little expensive All in all it was an ok restaurant, but I wasn't too impressed. I still can't believe how dry the burgers were, meh.

Terrible experience. With my friend we decided to sit outside and I put my jacket on the chair to check the menu on the door just next to the table. When we came back the waiter even though he saw very well that we were about to sit down, already sit other customers. When I told him that we were already there he said with a Mexican accent "I am sorry". I am sorry too that you lost customers and now have a bad review.

The burgers were amazing! Some of the finest cooked food I've had. The meal also came with a salad, which was also pretty good. You can't ask for a specific type of cooked burger, but it doesn't really matter because they do a good job making it medium well. Our burgers were pretty juicy and came with a lot of topping. The only bad thing was the price which was kinda high.

I would give this place ten stars if I could. Everything exceeded my expectations, and my expectations are always high. I had the beach BBQ burger and truffle fries. The burger is the best I have ever had hands down. It makes Bartley's in Harvard square seem like Five Guys in comparison. The truffle fries are a must for anyone that wants to experience french fry perfection. Everyone we spoke to was amazing...our server, the chef, the otger servers, and even the bus boys were so gregarious you felt like you were eating with friends. Keep in mind that this was on Sunday at 1pm in the middle of the lunch rush. I could not have had a better combination of food and service. I will be coming back every time I am in the area. Murphy is an absolute magician in that kitchen, go say hello and have your taste buds blown away!
