    This restaurant is adjacent to Sheraton's beautiful lobby. I ordered Mary's chicken last night and now I am trying their Shrimp Pancetta Bucatini, which was a bit spicy for me but still good. Both dishes were delicious, can't decide which I like better. Staff is nice, attentive, and accommodating. I was able to bring my dessert up to my room, cause I was too full to eat right after my main course. I love the free dessert when I check in here, I wonder if it'll work again tonight? Lol! I love the ambience... ...so the manager said, for me..she'll accept the free dessert offer again! Awww.. They've just earned a loyal customer :) ...well that is when I am around this area.

    The reviews were so spot on! I had a French Dip with fries and a beer. I must say the guy who said they were really salty was wrong....it was complete opposite it had zero flavor. Even the AuJus dip was thick and had no flavor! I am staying here a lot this year now and I regret to say it must travel out for food. :( I see some one from the restaurant responds to these reviews but I do not see any changes are actually happening. Makes me wonder why he would respond saying this is not normal but obviously it is. Maybe less time writing and more time taste testing the quality of the food. The service was good!!!

    This is the restaurant adjoining the Sheraton hotel. We came for dinner and ordered the grilled halibut with greens and the French dip. Overall, the food wasn't good; the halibut was dry, everything was overcooked and way too salty (and that's taking into account the fact that French dip and fries are supposed to be pretty salty...). The French roll was also burnt. We didn't want to send the whole meal back, that seems kind of rude, but we let the waitress know the French roll was burnt. She was very courteous and professional, and offered to take the French dip off the check. The manager came out to talk to us after. He apologized that the bread was burnt, and said "the chefs were in robot mode, and when they reheat the bread, they put it in the oven near the top, and they just got new bread, so they don't know how far away from the top of the oven the bread is... " For perspective, the restaurant had us seated and one other table that night, they were not busy. Anyway, the staff was courteous, but the food isn't good. I do not recommend this place.

    Went there after going to the fairgrounds to the RV show and the grill was closed so they told us to go to the bar and they will serve us. It was just regular bar food. Hamburgers, club sandwich and fries nothing extraordinary. Service was good.

    The restaurant is inside the Sheraton at Fairplex. Tried them both for breakfast and dinner. The morning crew was slow and the food was not great. In the evening we had a steak special and it was Ok. Fairly generic cafeteria style food it was bland and of mixed quality. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and there is no need to settle for poor service and bland food.

    Simply amazing!!!! I came here for the memorial day all you can eat bbq. The food was amazing we got pork ribs that were nice and tender that you can literally pull it off with your fingers. The burgers were amazing and the beef patty was made to order with a brioche bun. Mac and cheese tasted home made with bread crumbs on it and the pork beans were awesome. Service was superb the restaurant is very fancy. The manager was so cool that he tried encourage me to eat more but I was stuffed. They didn't hold on what they had to offer and I am definitely coming back to eat here for a quality meal.

    Horrible lunch here today. Over-spiced tuna, over-dresses salad and very few healthy items on the menu. I ordered a cappuccino to console myself only to be served a 20 oz. beverage nowhere near the definition of a cappuccino. It's time for hotels to start making better food!

    It's a quiet Sunday night. Got a very nice deal to stay at the Sheraton Fairplex, and I decided to enjoy a dinner outside on the patio of the hotel's restaurant- McKinley's. The waiter suggested sea bass, and I agreed. I added the fresh veggies to the greens that accompany the dish, and I am honestly very impressed. First, the fish if cooked beautifully, not overdone as so often is the case. Second, the flavors are interesting, bright, and not overbearing- one can taste the fish and the greens. My waiter is attentive without being in the way. With my chardonnay and this dish, I am enjoying a peaceful, delightful dinner. Kudos to the chef!

    What a hidden gem in Pomona. The food is fresh from a farm onsite with daily fish and soup specials. I have a group of 22 here today and the service was wonderful. Don't miss the sweet potato fries they are amazing

    Not the business! We had a party of 6 and we were 1of 3 tables in the whole restaurant (you could hear the crickets) and it took forever to get our food! Not a good experience.

    The Ambiance & Decor Grade: A This is a very big, clean, and beautiful restaurant located inside the Sheraton Hotel. It feels very classy and would be a nice location for a date. They have seating outside with heating lamps and I think there might even be place for a fire to keep people warm in the colder months. The demographic McKinley's Grille appeals to is a nice one. Service Grade: A They were attentive, accommodating, and friendly. My French Fries were a little cold when I received them, but I didn't say anything. To my surprise they came over and apologized that the fries weren't up to par and brought along another serving of French Fries. That was unexpected but pleasantly pleasing. Food Grade: B+ Asiago Cheese Bread - Good, fun to eat, nothing too fancy. Calamari Batons - They're delicious, I wish I had more, and they're good for sharing. Pork Belly Sandwich with Honey Dates, Foumet d'Ambert, Walnut, and Cranberry Batard - This was my main course and I enjoyed eating it. The pork was fried and slightly crispy so the creaminess of the cheese contrasted the meaty texture well. There was a subtle sweetness and presence of the Honey Dates and Cranberry Batard that I thought was unique. It was served as an open-faced sandwich and I ate it with a knife and fork. French Fries - Good Conclusion & Price Grade: B McKinley's Grille is a little on the classy high end. Consider this place for a nice brunch or a tasty lunch. I imagine dinner here is very good, but will set you back a few dead presidents. I had a nice experience and would love to return with either my beautiful girlfriend or some pleasant company.

    My husband and I ordered food from here To grab something Togo to eat at home. Unfortunately the food was just generic nothing flavorful or exciting. We ordered the lamb and chicken. I think we spent over 70 bucks, just wouldn't won't be doing that again.

    We had brunch here a couple weeks back. The restaurant itself has nice decor and a lovely patio. However, the brunch environment seemed a little subdued -- could be the small crowd or the small spread. Not sure. While it was apparent that the offerings contained high quality ingredients, they were set up in small groupings and very spread out. It almost seemed like they were hiding the proteins (up high, on the chef's back counter, where a shorty like me can't see or reach them very well . . . thank goodness for a tall hubby!) Also, I noticed that some of the offerings listed on the website were missing in action, or they did a good job of hiding them -- crab claws and mussels. You'd think they'd be hanging out with the shrimp, but nope, shrimp was all alone. Also absent from roll call, was the carved roasted turkey. What was kind of nice was the made to order omlettes. The server comes to your table and takes your order, and a few minutes later, viola! Your omlette as you wished, but not quite. Some of the ingredients we asked for were missing (like tomatoes), and others we didn't ask for we're included (bell peppers). It was like the chef just threw together whatever he wanted. Also strange, chef used cold cheese slices in the middle of the omlette, and the cheese never melted. It was trick cheese, like those birthday candles that never blow out, this is cheese that never melts. Things that were good: tomato salad (definitely garden fresh), the yummy sauce for the shrimp (that should be bottled), olives!, the desserts (lemon bars and some delish cakes) While we don't mind paying $25.95 a person for brunch, it didn't seem like a good value at this place. You'd have to really kick back the champs and pack in the shrimp and missing crab claws and mussels to not feel swindled and pimped.

    Amazing tastes! I chose this place because I read the reviews and who doesn't love farm-fresh produce? The food here is good. The olive oil and herbs is a bit strong, but invigorating. I would recommend the crab cakes and the calamari. Very excellent. The lamb over the pasta was also very good. The dessert was sub-par. The lava cake was over-cooked and so it didn't flow. The ice cream was amazing and home-made. My sister had the cream puff and it was ordinary. Definitely eat here, but go somewhere else for dessert. The waitress was very helpful with the wine selection and attentive. The ambience is dark and serious. Not particularly romantic, but still very nice. A bit like a mid-casino Las Vegas buffet.

    Since I was staying at the Sheraton Pomona Fairplex, this is essentially the only dining choice at the hotel unless you opt for room service. I had dined here multiple times during my stay so my star rating is based on the average of the multiple dines. When I first came here, I had their soup of the day which was a hearty shrimp soup and 3 gourmet fish tacos. The tacos were very tiny (as clearly indicated on their menu) but were really good along with the soup. The tacos were about 3 inches in width by 1.5 inches in height. My first visit gave me a good impression of this place as their staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One morning, I decided to stop by the breakfast buffet. Although the breakfast buffet was limited in selection, the staff was quite friendly. For $15, you get your basic breakfast fare including scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. It also includes orange juice and coffee. Finally, I came here again for lunch were I ordered their fried calamari and another soup of the day (corn chowder). My final visit was quite disappointing as my waiter was aloof. I hope you don't get the same waiter as I did but he was one of those people that seemed like he didn't care about his job. It is unfortunate considering that other people that do work here seem to really care about their customers. Also, he was too busy chatting with his fellow coworker. The corn chowder was not really good as it contained mostly corn and not actually soup. The fried calamari was not very good either. I received soggy calamari that was poorly battered. If you are staying at the Sheraton, it was a convenient place to stop by. Avoid the calamari but try the shrimp soup if they do have it. I heard also that their burger was really good. I wish I had tried that. Overall, it was a good but pricey dining experience.

    I had the sea bass tonight. It was very tasty. All their vegetables are fresh from their garden. I was hesitant to come here, but since we were staying here at the hotel and I didn't feel like driving I decided to try it. I am very happy with my dinner. Definitely, come back here again.

    We sat in the bar area. The drinks were good. Giving this place 2 stars because of the food. not good at all and I was really hungry. We ordered appetizers quesadilla, nachos, the feta and olives were given with just feta cheese with Greek olives on top of the cheese just like that no crackers or pita bread. not good at all! and the desert was even worse the brownie w/ice cream on top tasted like a weight watchers desert no joke! The service was GREAT our waitress Oliva kept checking in awesome service! Atmosphere was clean and up to date.

    Very good overall, dining decor inside is pretty dull, but outside patio is very nice in the evening with uplit trees and outdoor heaters. Service was friendly, and food was delicious. Recommend the Atlantic salmon as well as the cute basket of yummy sweet potatoes fries. Also great caramel cheesecake!

    Starting with, the online menu listed grilled oysters which hit the spot for me. The server told us it's a very old menu so don't believe what's on it. There was a solid 10 minute wait for water and a good bit longer for my husbands beer (which came without a glass). The food finally arrived and it was ok, my clam patties were good, the lemon sauce VERY good. The steak was supposed to be med rare and came rare but the fried green tomatoes were very good. The waitress stopped once when she was at another table and that was pretty much it. Even paying the bill took forever and they weren't that busy. After reading other reviews, I was disappointed.

    Me and my partner in crime went for dinner to redeem a $50 Groupon and were pleasantly pleased. Because we ate outside on the patio, maintenance turned on the heat lamps and outdoor fireplace to keep us warm. The food was all fresh, farm-raised, and delicious! We had clam chowder, asiago cheese bread, seared Atlantic salmon, and bison short ribs. We also got to enjoy grilled tomatoes, compliments of the chef. Of course we had to wash it all down with a bottle of California Cab that paired perfectly with our meal. Alyssa Felix was an excellent server with an awesome personality! She really went out of her way to make sure our dining experience was exquisite! Even the assistant manager Andrew came by to check up on us and make sure everything was perfect. This lovely restaurant is located inside the Pomona Sheraton Fairplex so be sure to check it out next time you're in the area. You'll be glad that you did.

    Great ambiance inside a great hotel property. That's it. Hostess did not ask how my evening was going, server kept stopping by asking if we are going to order (somewhat demanding) and rushed the check (oh! i need to take off, can I get you a check if you are done... REALLY?) when I was not even done eating and did not offer a dessert menu. Food made my girlfriend and myself laugh really hard.. It was such entertainment. Petite farm greens was not worth spending time on, hamachi sashimi with soba roll tasted like nothing I have ever tasted before (considering that I am Korean...-.-), gnocchi was actually not bad but my niece can probably make it. And my girlfriend witnessed the chef picking his nose..(super ninja style). I really like the Sheraton property but the restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. When the room service tastes better, that kinda says it all.

    for the price, I expected some good tasting food in a good environment. but that is not the case. The menu was limited maybe because they are fresh from their farm. But they are not good. sure the service was good, and the plating was great, but the food is just not tasty. Fish was a bah bah....steak was a whatever...scallop tasted the same as i try to cook at home. I am just around the neighborhood but i dont think i will come back ever again.

    I'm staying at the Sheraton (where the Grille is), and since I had a lot of work to do, I decided to try McKinley's mostly out of convenience. I sat by myself, which always feels awkward, but it actually wasn't bad here. Probably because it's expected at hotels, and it just wasn't that crowded at 8:30 on a Wednesday. I was able to work at my table and feel relaxed since the ambience is quite calm and classy. My waitress was very nice and helpful, too. I had the calamari, which comes with three dipping sauces (an aioli, a marinara, and some sort of oil-based jalapeño/dill something or other (I don't actually know, I'm just guessing)), and it was so good. The calamari was lightly battered so it didn't feel like I was eating a basket of onion rings with each piece. Then I had the roasted salmon, which was also quite delicious. Very well-cooked. Finally, I had the molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, raspberry drizzle, and berries on the side. I'm not usually a fan of chocolate, but this was quite satisfying, probably in large part because I was so stressed. Anyway, it was a scrumptious meal, although VERY expensive ($26 + tax for a normal portion of salmon with not much on the side (just a bed of broccolini and bok choy)). I probably would have given it five stars if not for the prices. I very rarely spend 50 dollars (before tip) on myself, but I have to say it was money well-spent.

    Not all is well at McKinley's of late. I am still thrilled that this place is in Pomona, and that it uses fresh produce from their farm. I have not been thrilled on my two most recent visits with tough steak, non-molten chocolate cake, calimari sans marinara, stale un-bruleed creme, and espresso served in a coffee mug. Small details matter so much, and it is far from too late for the Grille. I hope to see it rise up again to its full potential

    The Salmon was delicious! Had fresh vegetables and was served in a yogurt sauce... The farm-raised vegetables are grown on-site, and are amazing.. As far as drinks are concerned, they have several beers on tap, but if Nick is working, I would go with one of his delicious Cadillac margaritas. I seriously think this is the tastiest margaritas I have ever had. The service here is great as well.. Sun-Thurs they have a late-night happy hour. if you drink PBR, it's $3 a pint, and well drinks are $3 as well.. They have premium beers for $6 here... it's a little steep, but it's a cool bat, and you pay for atmosphere... Note: They once had a problem with those pesky fruit flies, but seem to have a good handle on them now.. If you are in the area of the Fairplex, I'd recommend this restaurant located inside the Sheraton...

    Boyfriend ordered the farm raised Wagyu Burger for lunch today with a side of sweet potato fries. I had the Cesar salad with a side of onion rings. The Wagyu burger was tantalizing.. juicy, flavorful, exquisite and simply put.. the best burger I have ever tasted. It was topped with thick smokey bacon and cream pungent crumbles of blue cheese. The bread was soft, slightly sweet almost like a Hawaiian roll. Every bite I took (and it wasn't even what I ordered) was better than the first. My eyes kept rolling back to the back of my head lol. Sweet potato fries were good. flavorful, crispy and not salty. My Cesar salad was good..nothing special. Fresh ingredients, good sized anchovies on top of the salad and tasty croutons. Beer battered onion rings were light and very good. The portions of both meals and sides were not small. Big portions with big prices but well worth the money you spend for a good meal. The only reason why McKInley's Grille did not get 5 stars is because I had to ask for my water to be refilled. Not once did someone come by to fill up our water glasses.

    Came here for dinner after a long tiring day at the LA Fair. Had a restaurant.com certificate which I bought a very long time ago. Came in hand as location was right next the fair. McKinley's located inside Sheraton Hotel provided a great romantic, dimmed restaurant. Very quiet and did not have much people on a Saturday night. Loved this place for it's location and feel. Our server provided great service as she was very friendly and even went back to the kitchen to ask the chef for a recipe of their complimentary dish which below I will explain. Manager was also nice and friendly as he greeted us when we came in and also came to our table for a small talk. We ordered Calamari Batons with romesco sauce as our appetizer. Calamari was okay. Bottom of the dish was filled with a little bit of oil which made the bottom part of the calamari soggy (filled with oil). The sauce was amazing though! Complimentary dish which was Chips with Cheddar & Sriracha Dip. Loved, loved this dish! Chips tasted exactly like the baked lay's chips. However the Cheddar & Sriracha dip was out of this world. Finished this dip to the last drop. Don't know how to really explain this dip, basically a sour cream cheddar dip with a lingering taste of srircha at the end. Dip had small chunks of granted cheese which I loved. Told the server how amazing the dip was and she went back to the kitchen to ask the chef how it's made. Supposedly made from sour cream, mayo, garlic powder, sriracha, grated cheese, and lemon juice. (I might be forgetting an item or two). Braised Kurobuta Pork Cheeks - These pork cheeks were tender and juicy! Melts in your mouth kind of tender! Sauce had a bit of wine flavor taste to it. This was also accompanied with mash potatoes which were pretty darn good! 8 Ounce Wagyu Beef Burger - Was okay. Lacks flavor. Wish they had more porcini mushrooms with this burger. Asked for medium rare, came out well done. Overall I liked this place. Would definitely come back if I was in the area. Seems like they have seasonal menus which is great. I'll come back to give other dishes a shot! Awesome staff, keep up the good work!

    I've been here several times now and have found them to be consistent in what they serve. The three times I've had lunch here have all been stellar especially in the service. Their menu changes regularly depending on season as they specialize in sustainable produce. I've had the various appetizer plates from scallops to sashimi and the salads are amazing and generously portioned. Fish and chips are good too but remember to ask for tartare sauce as it is not served alongside. Instead, a curry mayo is served. The hot sandwiches are good too and change regularly to keep things fresh. Regardless of what I've eaten here, I've always been happy. Best part is, it is not super expensive -- as one would expect in a hotel -- and there is ample parking all around.

    This was my first visit and it was lunch time, the restaurant had only a couple other patrons but its late lunch time so I didn't think much about that. We were immediately greeted and seated, the menu was simple and everything sounded tasty. We started with the calamari batons, they were good but I like mine to have just a little bit more of a crispy breading, the sauce its paired with was delish. We ordered the lamb burger and the mckinley burger I selected bleu cheese on mine. The bun and flavor of the bleu cheese just bumped up the points for me on the burger. Service was very good and we both enjoyed our meal there and will be back to try their dinner menu. Price is reasonable and the location is nice, quiet, and serene.

    This was my second time coming here and the 2nd impression mirrors the first; it leaves me wanting more. I want more flavor, more execution, more for my money; it comes so close - it just needs to go that extra mile. With that said, I'm still a fan of this place. I still love the ambiance of this place (I should have taken a pic). I really do appreciate their farm to table concept (they actually have a garden on-site). The menu is inventive (I still want to try more things on the menu) and the food is pretty good. Both times I went they had some high points and low points. This time: High Points: Asiago Cheese Bread - was amazing Greek Salad w/ salmon - they were generous w/ the veggies, the feta and the olives. they served it with a champagne vinaigrette that was really good. the salmon was cooked well Low Points: Lobster Bisque - I thought it was OK but it was under-seasoned and left me feeling underwhelmed Crab Cakes - these were a complete miss for me. the crab didn't come through and the cake was too mushy. The siracha sauce they served with it was good though. I do like McKinley's and I'm sure I will be back again. They offer a $25.00 gift certificate on restaurant.com and this time I used a groupon for lunch. So, you should be able to find a good deal for this place.

    I never even stood a chance! I have a gift card I received while volunteering at the Fairplex. It had expired the day before. YES, I said just one day before! I had called to see if they would still honor it, (assuming they would since California does not allow gift certificates to expire) I was told by the girl on the phone that she thought so, but she would have to ask the manager. She comes back to the phone and tells me she can't find a manager, says she will call me right back. 2 hours later still nothing! So I grab my friend to take her there for lunch. I ask again when I get there, only to be dismissed by the manager, while she was taking to one of the waitresses,(I am assuming to be the one I talked to on the phone) Looks up and says "It's no longer valid" then continues to talk to the waitress. No common courtesy, no I'm sorry, no kiss my A**. NOTHING!! I attempted to rectify this through emails with the restaurant. They never even acknowledged me.

    I was sick and tired of the limited places we had on the office rotation for take-out... so when I came across McKinley Grill on Yelp, and saw that it was inside the Sheraton hotel down the street, I decided to give it a try... I ordered a chicken Caesar salad as my basic test for an American restaurant/grille. I've had some amazing Caesar salads in my life and I've also had some dull Caesar salads. Restaurants usually make decent Caesar salads so... This one was very middle-of-the-road. Very safe. But definitely forgettable. Bottled dressing, I'm sure. Someone else in the office ordered their swordfish tacos. This was $12 and they were super tiny. 3 tiny tacos w/a side of rice and beans for $12?? You're better off going to Rubio's on Foothill and paying half that. The ambiance inside seemed very nice. Maybe it's a different experience dining in. Maybe we should've ordered something else... maybe I won't go back again. Yeah, I probably won't go back anytime soon.

    After doing some research about McKinley's Grille on yelp.com and noting some positive reviews, I decided I would treat my wife and kids to a nice Sunday Brunch for Mother's Day. Although I was very impressed with the ambiance when we first arrived, the overall experience was an extreme disappointment. The Sheraton at the Fairplex is a nice hotel with a fairly elegant entry. For Mother's Day, the entry was complimented with a very soulful, great sounding jazz band. We arrived earlier than our reservation time but were seated right away. Since this was our first time eating there the very amicable hostess offered to give us a tour of the buffet lines to which we accepted. When we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our waitress, Sarah. She quickly provided us with our drinks and we were off to enjoy our Mother's Day brunch. I promptly went to the carving station where I asked the carver what cut of beef she was serving and she said it was Bottom Round. I was a bit surprised at the inferior cut of beef given that it was a Mother's Day brunch and at $35.99 per person I expected a better cut of beef. Nonetheless, I asked for a serving. Much to my surprise, the carver was handling the roast with her hands, albeit in food service gloves, and a carving knife. It appeared she was having a tough time cutting a slice but at the time I attributed it to her possibly having a dull knife. (I would soon find out the real reason for the difficulty in cutting the beef). After she carved a slice from the roast, she picked up the piece of meat with her hand, and placed it on my plate. I was a bit surprised by this because typically, a carver at these stations at any reputable dining establishment would NEVER use their hands to handle the food and would always use utensils (tongs or a fork) to do so. I then went to the omelet bar and had an omelet made to my order. After my omelet was finished I went to our table and joined my family so we could start enjoying our brunch. I first tried the meat but it was too tough even to cut with the knife. I took a bite and it was too tough so I did not eat the whole thing. I started to eat my omelet and about a quarter of the way through, my son and I noticed a long piece of hair in my fork, coming from the omelet. I quickly took the hair off my fork and got up. I went to the host podium and told the gentleman there about it and he said he was going to take care of it. I went back to the omelet station and ordered another omelet. On my way back to our table, I passed the carving station where I noticed the carver cutting several slices of beef, although there was no one in line. I found this odd because the purpose of having a carving STATION is to get a freshly cut slice of meat so that the serving will be at its freshest and juiciest state. After finishing off the second omelet, I went to try the crepes at the crepe station. The standard offering of fruits and whipped cream were available but surprisingly, no chocolate syrup. This was quite surprising given the fact that it's a Mother's Day Brunch. At the crepe station, they have a plate that has the premade crepes as well as all the crepe fillings on the edge of the table, closest to the customers. When preparing a crepe to order, the cook typically reached over and picked up a crepe by hand (again, wearing a food service glove) and proceeded to make a crepe to your order. Unfortunately, since the crepes are at the edge of the table closest to the customers, some customers can grab the crepes by hand and give them to the cook. This is what I observed when I ordered my crepe but luckily, the person was AFTER me in line. When I went back to our table and shared what I had observed with my family, my 14 year old son told me he experienced the same thing!! At this point I was feeling very uncomfortable there and wanted to leave but I didn't want to make an issue out of this because it was after all, it was Mother's Day. I got the check and when I looked it over, I saw that there was a 'Service Charge' equal to 18% of the check as well as line of a 'Tip.' I have seen this unscrupulous attempt at getting more tip money on dining checks but never before on a check for a party of four. At this point I'm extremely agitated and disappointed with the overall experience. But at my wife's urging, I did not make an issue out of this and I paid the 'Service Charge' because, to her point to which I agree, Sarah did an exceptional job of serving us and none of the shortfalls of our experience at McKinley Grille were attributed to her. Needless to say, I cannot positively recommend my dining experience at McKinley Grille to anyone and quite frankly it put a damper on a day that should have been very special. My experience at McKinley Grille would have been more in line with what one would expect from a place like Hometown Buffet, but for a fraction of the cost.

    I often enjoy breakfast and lunch here... service is always friendly and fabulous. Have enjoyed everything from the club sandwich to the Greek salad, but the small tasting plates and farm sodas are amazing! Like the connection to the fresh garden produce.

    Simply amazing! Tonight we celebrated our 2nd anniversary with my parents and were in the mood for something new, and if ever did we make the right choice! We used a restaurants.com certificate and seriously splurged!! Also our server Naomi was the best! She offered was great with helping us decide what to order. We each started with our own starters. I had the chop salad with bacon and blue cheese, best blue cheese dressing I've ever had! Dad got the calamari, mom had a side of sweet potato fries and I hubby had the spring rolls. All the appetizers were great, but hubby was a bit disappointed that his spring rolls were fried. Hubby and mom had the bouillabaisse, not my favorite because it was spiced with anise, but for those who like anise, like mom and hubby it's a great choice. I had the rockfish which came with delicious mashed potatoes and squash. My dad ordered the mushroom raviolis which were AMAZING. They had goat cheese and were topped with a poached egg. For dessert we split two chocolate lava cakes which were served with our choice of Dr. Bob's ice cream, again, simply amazing and Naomi brought us three fantastic little meringue tartlets topped with berries.

    Our group was here February 2012 to look for a place to hold our conference. We had a late lunch at the bar that's a part of the McKinley Grill. Superb, fabulous, delicious, brilliant, can barely describe the McKinley Grill. Our group had a variety of lunch items, but three particular items stand out. The first one is the lamb burger. The Lamb burger had texture, flavor, and was simply fabulous. It was mouth watering, full of depth and flavor. If you never had a lamb burger, it was juicy, and so succulent, that I can still taste the freshness of it a month later. It was the feeling of home made comfort food with a gourmet twist. The next one were the beer battered onion rings were simply delightful. I've never had a more beautiful set of onion rings. Crispy, and yet light. They were simply some of the best onion rings I've ever. I honestly could never order onion rings from anywhere else again. Last but not least, the ice cream. The ice cream is simply the best. Forget the breyers. Forget the dreyers ice cream. They can not hold a candle to this place. We're talking about good old fashion home made ice cream. The hospitality is first class and nothing short of award winning. Nick took care of our group of eight like caring for us. His expertise of the menu was astounding. As our group returned a month later, he continued to provide award winning service for a conference of 100+, with courtesy, grace, professionalism, of any five star restaurant like the day we met him in February. I'm looking forward to returning here, if not for a conference, then definitely for a late lunch because I know it is people like Nick and the entire Sheraton family who are taking care of me from the second I turn off the car, to the moment I set foot into my car.

    I dined here with a friend on a Tuesday night. There weren't too many people in the dining room and it took about 10 minutes before the waitress stopped by our table to take our drink order. It was about another 30 minutes before our entrees finally arrived. During this time, there was no bread and the waitress never stopped to tell us how long it would take for our meal to arrive. When our meal arrived, my friend's chicken was still pink inside. The waitress said she would fire up the chicken, as if there was going to be something else she could do. I had the strip steak, which wasn't bad. However, it wasn't worth the time waiting for it. The entrees came with steamed vegetables, which weren't bad. Considering the restaurant was at a Sheraton, I expected the dining experience to be much better.

    Wow, the food at this restaurant was amazing. I dined there with my wife for our wedding anniversary. Everything looked brand new, it must have been recently remodeled. We seemed to be the only customers there, and the workers seemed a bit bored. I ordered the scallops and my wife salmon. The tastes were incredible. The fresh veggies and tangy flavors were perfect. I felt like I was eating food that I had previously only seen on TV or saw pictures of in magazines. To top it off, we ordered dessert. The hazelnut mousse was also simply amazing. I would not hesitate to return on any occasion. It was some of the best food that I have ever experienced.

    Mckinley's Grill is a very nice restaurant, however it is a bit pricy. Regardless of this, it has a very accomodateable breakfast buffet. For only 14.95$, and including unlimited whatever beverages(alchohol excluded of course) it's a great deal. You spend 8$ at an IHOP for trash anyways right? Might as well enjoy yourselves here. I haven't tried much here. But they're Bison sliders, Grilled Herb Chicken, and Burgers are exquisite. If you plan on staying here at the Sheraton fairplex Hotel. Definetly Stop On By.

    The mood: quiet. Even though eruptions of laughter pepper the silence, the overtone is still serene. Three or four tables (out of over 40) are actually seated. How could you not unwind? The food...the food...the food!!! RAVE! I *do* speak lamb sliders and lobster fritters. The grammar rules for said-language: "Yum, yum, yum". No other rules necessary. All of McKinley's food comes from the namesake's farm, even the ice cream. Fresh kettle chips are brought out w/ in-house-made dipping sauce. The grilled chicken was an A+ dish. The accompanying bed of mashed red potatoes--skin on--was a pure dream. Atop them was a quilt of sautéed yellow squash and green zucchini. A sauce in verde added another hue to the white plate and gave the chicken a confetti of flavor. The menu is simple, but everything--including the ratatouille--is prepared to perfection. More restaurants should take notes, for it is better to serve several dishes that "wow" than to serve many that each elicit a "meh". Service is so friendly that I had no problem bearing my life story to the server three days into my stay at the Sheraton Fairplex. Sometimes, it does get a bit more crowded than staff can handle well, but professionalism and can-do attitudes more than make up for the wait. The chef who grilled THE BEST New York Strip steak I've ever had? He's my new boyfriend. He just doesn't know it yet. ;-) On our next date, I'm having one of the three-course menu dinners. At only $20 per person, party of ME, I'm sure to be pleased.

    Thank you restaurant.com ! We got a really sweet deal of pay $10 for $25 worth of food. Well worth it. This place is located in the Sheraton next to the Pomona Fairplex. Food ~ Duck - yum. It was like reverse sushi. Duck on the outside with rice on the inside. Pretty good. Greens salad - I love a mixture of greens and vegetables. What's really nice too is that their vegetables are fresh from the farm. My favorite in the salad was the pickled radish. YUM. Fresh fruit side - again, fresh and delicious. Happy it wasn't just watermelon and cantaloupe. Included both of the prior, watermelon, blueberries, pineapple, and honeydew. Drinks - strawberry lemonade and lemonade. Don't know if they used fresh lemons... wasn't too happy with it. Too sweet and tasted artificial. I should have asked. Happy with the food, price, and service. Waitress was very prompt with everything and super friendly.

    I first came here with my husband two months ago because we got a restaurant.com certificate from a friend. We didn't expect much and thought we would just try it once, but it turned out to be a very good dinning experience. We went back for the 3rd time last night ever since. The service was great and the food was extremely delicious. I have to say that The Chef is genius! We've tried mahi mahi, ox tail, duck breast, pork tenderloin & NY strip so far. They were all pretty good. The Three Courses menu is definitely worth the money. They have seasonal menu which changes every 3 months depending what they have from their own farm. This gives us a lot of verity to choose. We would keep going back and try as many dishes as possible. I hope the Chef is not going anywhere else EVER!

    My boyfriend had some gift cards for this place, so we decided to give it a try. It's located inside a nice hotel, which means you have to walk through the token outside smokers to get inside, which is a huge turn off for any establishment, but a necessary vice I suppose. Upon entering we made our way to the hostess, who was polite and inviting, but I can't say she was anything special. She walked us to our table, and during the brief trip across the room, I found myself slipping numerous times on the wooden floors. I was wearing patent pumps, and I don't know if there was something on the floor or if it was just slick, but just be careful. We were seated in a corner booth, and the ambiance was very nice. The lighting was soft and the music was romantic, and there were even some of the automatically lit candles on the tables, which were a romantic touch. Our seating was nice, but located by a door leading outside. So whenever one of the servers walked outside, I was greeted with a very unwelcome brush of cold air. I was thrown off by the menus, as they were just large pieces of paper. There wasn't anything finished and fine about them, almost like a last minute decision. They said they had just changed the menu a few days before, since everything is based on seasonal offerings, so I believe this explains the printed menus, but I am not certain. this is definitely an upscale place, which you can tell just by the prices. Side orders are $4 each, and the cheapest entree is $17, to upwards of $30 per plate. The menus do not include actual dollar signs, though, so you'll see just a number next to the food indicating the price. Ex: "Chicken 18" My boyfriend order a 10oz medium stake, and I order a jidori chicken (not sure if I spelt that right.) The portions were filling, though a bit small considering the price. My boyfriend's steak was not cooked medium, but more medium-rare, emphasis on the rare. He didn't fuss over it, though was not satisfied. I tried a piece and said it tasted extremely vinegar-y, which he agreed. My chicken was so-so; the skin was very flavorful and delicious, and not too greasy. The leg piece was juicy, however, the rest of the cut was dry, which left it bland and tasteless. They served red mashed potatoes with our meals, which were okay. They were a bit cool when served, and lacked much flavor themselves, but added a nice texture to the meal. I did, however, love their vegetables. They were very fresh, tasty, and cooked very nicely. I'd return simply for their vegetables. Our serve was polite and humorous, and answered every question we had thoroughly. All in all, it was an okay experience, but definitely not worth the price of the food.

    Came here with a friend because of a Living Social voucher. Because of the LS coupon, the value was very good. However if I was paying normal menu prices I rate the value as "just OK" The normal prices are not outrageous, but they are high end prices for OK food. What I DO like about this restaurant is that most offerings are organic, many of them grown locally practically on-site. I had a prix fix all organic local grown peking duck dinner, It came with an appetizer soup or salad, peking duck with potatoes and vegetables, and desert [I chose homemade blue berry ice cream which was the best part of the meal. I'm not a big duck fan to begin with but it was the best value and it was 100% organic and local, so I figured "When in Rome..." Overall the meal was fresh, tasty, cooked properly. I doubt I will be eating duck again anytime soon. The salad was OK, however for being fresh grown local, it looked and tasted exactly liked bag spring mix salad from Costco or Dole. My friend had New York Steak, the flavor was good, however the texture was stringy and tough. The ambiance was nice, there is outdoor seating available also. The motif is contemporary, sorta modern. The service is OK, our server had trouble processing the Living Social voucher, it took a while, then it was incorrect amount, sent it back for review, and they then shorted themselves, we pointed it out, corrected the amount and paid them more [which was fair as that's what they had coming] They thanked us for the honesty and patience. If I were a guest at this Sheraton visiting out of town on business, I would eat here and/or entertain clients here, but It is not my 1st choice to dine at as a local.

    Who knew that there was a hidden gem in Pomona????? I surely did not. Much less in a Sheridan. So, i was with a colleague on her birthday and she wanted steak. Like good little yelpers, we consulted the app. This place is amazing. It was one of the best meals I have ever had. Here are the noteworthy points: 1. Everything is organic and grown onsite from a garden located in the Fairplex 2. The menu is seasonal based on the garden 3. Meat is also local I had the NY strip with potatoes and grilled veggies. I also had a Caesar salad. The strip was well seasoned and grilled perfectly( m-rare). The potatoes and veggies burst with flavor. I was absolutely shocked. The funny thing is, my colleague calls me the next day and asked me if I wanted to go back again. And I did.

    The food is mediocre for the breakfast buffet which consists of eggs, potatoes, sausages, bacons, cereal, assortments of pastries and definitely not worth the $15. You can probably get better food and better price at IHOP or DENNY'S. The service is terrible and almost none existent. For a buffet, the server just need to fill the drinks and take away the plates but our server filled our oj twice and was not seen until we asked for the check. I had 3 plates stacked on top of each other, my brother had a plate in front of him and another one to the side of him. Our server walked around helping the table next to us but failed to check on us.

    Solid service, we wanted to sit outside but it got way too hot so we scooted back inside and they were fine with it. Food came out fast, we got 2 cobb salads, a burger, BLT and a chicken sandwich. Everyone was satisfied, our drinks were always full and it was really clean inside. I would definitely go back but I was just there for an event, so I won't be going there anytime in the near future. If you're in the area, definitely check it out if you're in the mood for just good American food.

    This place is...interesting. The food is generally pretty good. We love that the restaurant incorporates fresh vegetables from its own farm - you really can taste the freshness. Service, however, is...spotty. The people are always friendly, but not particularly attentive. It takes a while to get served, even when the restaurant isn't very busy. Last time we were there, our waiter went on break without telling us, and his relief person forgot to bring us the steak sauce - even though we were the only people in the restaurant! Seriously? Yes, seriously. I also ordered my steak medium rare, and basically got a completely cooked through steak (it was just short of crunchy). They ended up comping the steak, which was a nice gesture, but I would have much preferred to pay for the steak and get it cooked right. To be fair, I'm not sure whether the kitchen overcooked the steak or whether our waiter wrote down the wrong order - we would have asked him but, like I said, he went on break without telling us and never came back. Despite the spotty service, we'll continue to go here periodically because we like the food pretty well and the prices are great if you have a coupon (and we always do). So if you have two hours and a coupon (get one at restaurant.com ), give this place a chance. On a good service day, you may be pleasantly surprised.

    Dinner at the Farm - What a fantastic time! Ok, I absolutely hate to run late for anything, so of course I was freaking out when I was running over an hour late to this dinner. After a hair-raising, keep-the-gas-pedal down, race to this place, I scrambled into the lobby. From there, everything was fabulous. Mark, the manager was very understanding and was waiting in the lobby. He drove the shuttle which whisks you out to the "Farm". The Farm is outside near their garden where they grow organic vegetables used in their dishes. They have long tables set up and you can watch some of the food getting cooked. It was a beautiful evening which made for a perfect al fresco dining experience. The other diners at the table (who were on their third course...remember I was running late) were super friendly and enjoying a night of super yummy food, delicious drinks, and great conversation with new and old friends. Rather than start with the third course, the staff made a point to bring out the earlier courses. That was super nice and they didn't have to do that, since I was the one who was late. Menu: First course - Wild albacore sashimi, green farm tomato wasabi, and Marquis De La Tour, Brut N.V.; Second course - Maryland soft shell crab spring roll, cucumber mint yogurt, Rose, Attitude, Loire Valley, France 2009; Third course - Local white sea bass, roasted beets, sorrel, Chardonay, Laetitia Vineyard & Winery Estate, Oaked Arroyo Grande Valley, 2008; Fourth course - Organic rabbit confit, heirloom carrots, unripe muscat grape chutney, Pinot Noir, Sonoma-Cutrer, Russian River, 2007; Fifth course - Prime beef hanging tender, oxtail fig stew, Cabernet Savignon, Trefethen, Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley, 2006; Sixth course - Mini local cherry tarte tatin, vanilla bean ice cream, cherry bourbon syrup, ice wine, Riesling, Inniskillin, Niagara Peninsula, Canada 2007 I need to start out saying that I'm the first to admit that I am not an adventurous eater, nor am I big on seafood. Soooo, you can imagine my initial reaction out after perusing the menu. To encourage having an open mind, I made a point to try one bite of everything. Everything tasted great, but here are the standouts...I loved the Oxtail Fig Stew! The meat was so juicy and tender, and the figs just enhanced the flavor of the meat perfectly. The prime beef was also too die for. Both paired with the Cab, the fifth course was definitely my favorite! I never thought that I would ever be uttering this words in my life, but the rabbit confit was actually good, When I saw the menu, I thought that my open-mindedness could only go so far and that there was no way I was going to eat Thumper, oops I mean rabbit. Well, I took one bite and was glad I did. It actually reminded me of slow roasted pork, which I love. Yep, in this case I can actually say that I did like it. Wow- did those words just come out of my mouth? It also helped with the Pinot Noir pairing. I really enjoyed this Pinot. Last standout for me was the Ice Wine. Mmmm, a perfect way to end the dinner. Overall, this was a fun night! It is super casual and you get to talk and meet the other people. Would definitely go again!

With the food being organic, i will give it another one star... I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions.

    Went tonight for our 25th anniversary. . . .BEWARE! Our waitress overcharged us by $13.00 and tried to explain it away by telling us that she wanted to remove two glasses of wine, and added them by mistake. She then threw away half of a New York Steak we asked her to box up and replaced it with a piece of shriveled up skirt steak! So sorry I gave her a $20.00 tip! Glad I did not see what she gave us to take home in the restaurant!

    We were staying at the Sheraton and decided to eat here based on the great reviews. I guess we ordered the wrong dishes, because our meal was just average, although the veggies and potatoes were outstanding. Service was efficient . We could have had a free desert from Yelp, but passed as we were going to a birthday party afterwards so can't speak for it.

    Had the rack of lamb. It was done quite well and was very tasty. The house salad wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. The wine selection was decent; we had a real good Cab from Washington State. Friends had the NY strip and were not pleased at all. So this place is kind of hit or miss.

    Decided to try this place based on the Yelp reviews...plus I liked the concept of farm to table. Well let me say I was very disappointed in their food. I tried the chicken with the grilled vegetables (from their farm) the chicken was flavor-less and dry...I couldn't even cut it with the butter knife I was given. I had to borrow my husband's steak knife. I even borrowed some of his steak sauce to add some flavor and moisture. My mother-in-law got the same thing I did and I could tell her chicken was exactly the same as mine. My husband ordered the lamb chops and my father-in-law ordered the steak. Their food did not impress. The only thing they had from the farm was the two little vegtables strips of squash...it was hardly anything. I gave them 2 stars, but would have given only one star because the manager came over to ask how we liked the food...I was honest and told him about the chicken. He looked a little shocked, probably wasn't expecting it, but hey we spent close to $200 dollars on our food and drinks and it wasn't even worth it. He was generous and offered to comp desserts for the entire table...which was really nice considering it was my husband's birthday.

    We just finished our 6 course meal from the "table to farm" dale bros beer event season cuisine series hosted by mckinley's grill. Devouring a spoonful of diced crisp bacon, mixed with cabbage, hash and the great company of foodies could only be topped by the warm sky as the sun began to cast it's long shadows and gracefully remind us that summer is arriving soon... Our appetizers included lettuce wrapped duck, clam ceviche with pesto sauce, meat wrap asparagus, bacon mix. The servers are very memorable: one of which stands out is Marcia, she has served at several of these events and is always very polite and friendly. Everything but the bread was made just footsteps away on a wood burning grill and all produce was either grown on the farm or found locally. So after all this boosting why did they fall short of five stars... The dessert did not stand up to the same grand standards of the meal. The sorbet had the full on flavor of the beer, one guest described it as a beer slushy. The chocolate kumquat cake was more like a burnt molten chocolate wannabe soufflé with a side of candied kumquats. I am always impressed by spun sugar (even more so than others since I lost my digital prints while learning to handle boiling sugar in culinary school... Don't worry they have returned) In my honest opinion the cake was actually worth half a star. my last meal of the evening will be taking two tums accompanied by a glass of milk... Good night

    My husband and I ordered the three course meal , "From the Farm" for $20 per person It was supposed to start with Japanese eggplant as an appetizer and cilantro radish salad, but what came was fried zucchini with a side of chinese salad dressing. The fish and vegetables were good but unmemorable. The final course, "Farm peach ice cream with a gaufrette wafer" came without the wafer and had freezer burn. Perhaps they were having an off night , but I do not recommend this restaurant.

    We have eaten here mostly for Mother's Day. Last Friday we went for their prime rib special. My husband and I both had the prime rib which was really delicious. It came with a large potato and the chef's choice of vegetable (that night it was sugar peas). The service was especially good and welcoming. I would recommend Mc Kinley's and their other specials too. They have a seafood boil with $1.00 beers on Tuesdays and a sliders special on Thursday. They seem to be making a real effort to get people in for dinner with a new chef and some great specials. We were not disappointed.

    I have to admit that my boss, colleagues, and I were skeptical of the quality that we would find from a steakhouse, in a Sheraton, in Pomona, but we were pleasantly proved wrong! The food was great, specifically chopped salad. I also had a lamb slider that was divine. My colleagues were impressed with the quality, taste, and temperature of their NY Strips Steaks.

    We made the trek out there for the second time after a great first experience. I don't know if we will make it back out there again after our last experience. I ordered the farm table three course meal. Appetizer options were salad or poached shrimp soup. After about waiting for over 20 minutes, waitress came and dropped off the soup and left. NO SHRIMP IN THE SOUP. It looked like the bottom of the pot when my mom makes a meatball stew. We waited about another 15 minutes for her to pass by again and I asked her if she could clarify what the soup was supposed to have and she responded with "oh yea, we are out of shrimp, I asked the chefs to make more but they're busy". WHAT!!!! Why would you bring me dressing with no salad? Why would I order broth??? Waitress definitely could have gave me another choice in appetizer but no. She simply walked away. We waited about another 30 minutes to get our dinner. Overall, we were there for almost 2 hours in just the wait for our food. The entree was alright, but I paid for a 3-course meal, not 1 1/2

    Food was tasty, too bad it took so long to be served it was cold. Although our waitress was nice, she was very busy and unprofessional. "Can you take your drink from my tray?" Our first clue should have been when the maintenance man asked us if we had been helped. Although the website says business casual, I am not sure what business the patrons are in, as they all were in shorts and flipflops...Finally our bill was wrong, we were over charged by $30+. Although the concept is excellent- organic, locally grown food and I would love to see Pomona have a come back, we won't be going back.

    The good was great and there was zero attitude about receiving our restaurant.com coupon. The veggie and shrimp soup of the day was sooooooo goooood. There was so much flavor! I'm so tired of bland soup, but this was wonderful, I'm sure because everything is so fresh, hand picked by the chef right off their farm. My hubby had the $12.00 prime rib special (they have it every Friday night) and he liked it very much. It was cooked perfectly to his liking - medium rare. I wanted to order a couple small plates to get a real taste of the place - the gorgozola dates are definitely worth trying! YUMMY. The crisped leeks were great as well. I loved that they serve great food in a semi-casual atmosphere, not at all stuffy. I had the farm to table menu and selected the sweet corn ravioli. That was very good and very unique - never had anything like it. For dessert, homemade ice cream. The waitress gave me a taste of them all - the strawberry was the best. She also says that the blueberry is popular - it was good but very rich. We came on a busy Friday night but service was attentive and friendly. Next time we're bringing a bottle of wine!

    The restaurant is located inside Sheraton Hotel. The service was good, but the portion of the meal was SMALL. My wife and I ordered 2 salad and 2 main course: pork and fish. No jokes, the dinner portion was like typical appetizer at other places. I will hate to see what their appetizer look like. After spending $50 plus, we had to go to Baja Fresh to fill us up, To summarize our experience at McKinley Grill in one word, that is "outrageous."
