I don't like sweets too much but I truly enjoy these donuts!! Great for breakfast, dessert, or treat! These baked goods are so fancy and beautifully made & taste even better than they look! I love the maple bacon, caramel apple, peanut butter and jelly, Oreo, Nutella Cronus w strawberries.. If you love Samoa cookies, the donut is to die for! The owners/workers are super friendly and genuinely enjoy making their customers happy & satisfied!

I'm guilty for only writing reviews for places I absolutely find worth going back to. I basically write these things to remind myself of how much I enjoyed the food and DK was a diamond in the rough. I originally thought this was the one that I had been to but that location was in Santa Monica area. Needless to say, when I pulled up to this establishment I was first disappointed. I'm not much of a donut fan AT ALL, but my friend eats boxes of donuts to himself like a bag of chips (and still manages to have no fat on his body but I guess that's how bodybuilders are built but let's not even go there).... Back to this review: I LOVED the crumb old-fashioned donuts. They were freshly baked when we got there... around midnight (yes, I know but we just came from Disneyland so pls don't judge and again, it's the friend's favorite so we had to get them)... let me just say how MOIST they were and it was encrusted or drizzled with custard or maple on the outside which adhered the crumbs perfectly to the donut. To end this rant and side rants already, I ended up buying 6 to take home for myself and even after days later, it was still moist and fresh and YUMMY =D

The best donuts I've had in a long time. I don't write reviews that often and I feel compelled to tell the world how much I enjoy their donuts. Tonight I had a Samoa's girl scout cookie donut...... my god. 24 hours, go now!

Yum yum yum!!! We have seen various DK's Donuts coming home from work in numerous routes that we took. I had to meet up with some Yelp friends (cool people!) and one had mentioned meeting up here. I thought, "sure!" I started looking at the pictures on Yelp in advance and immediately found my donut. The oreo eclair! Wow! That looked different and delicious! (Lately I have been looking for both of those categories combined on new food places). When I got there I saw that they were out of these, so the snickers bar was my next go to. I thought I would ask them if they had anymore oreo eclairs despite them not being in the window. The girl said "No, but we can make you one!" Nice! I went with this and a chocolate bar to bring home. It seems that they cut into a chocolate bar, add some cream, and oreos on top. It was delicious! My husband and new Yelp pals were also looking at this masterpiece, and had wished that they got one. ;) Now they have a donut to try for the next time. My husband and one of our friends got the vanilla cresnut. Both agreed that it seemed a lot like a glazed donut, and will try it with the cream and strawberries inside next time. I will be back for a snickers bar donut. We later ate our chocolate bars, and geez, even that was one of the best chocolate bars around. I'm glad that this place was recommended to us and I will definitely be back to try more of their goodies.

I tried my first cronut here and it was so good!! ^_^ I got the vanilla cronut with custard and strawberries mmMmMm and it wasn't too sweet either--it was perfect! The workers were really nice as well :) my friend and I were pretty indecisive when we were picking donuts but the workers were patient and cheerful! Compared to other places, the prices are really good! However, this place is cash only ~ I would definitely come here again ^_^

Pretty good donut shop! Just hate that it's cash only, but even though we went around 10:30 pm, still had a decent amount of donuts! Even got to try a Cronut! (Croissant donut)

  • Phil A.

5 stars is for the cronut & maybe the friendly service. If you're in this area, MUST get cronut. For under $2, one will satisfy your donut/croissant cravings. Tried a cronut for the first time here and only intended to eat half at the most - didn't happen. First bite (OMG), 2nd bite (WTF), rest of the cronut (FTW). Stupid, ridiculous goodness. #$@&%! Also tried Blueberry Glaze (Donuttery was better), did't even bother with the Red Velvet Glaze after that cronut. If you're bringing breakfast or anything for the office to please the boss or co-workers, the cronuts will do the trick. Hoy! "CASH-ONLY"

My favorite donut / cronut place ever. A fair warning though: don't be fooled. This place is in no way is affiliated with Donkey Kong. There are no monkeys or apes serving donuts at this place, which is the only reason I went here the first time. But the greatness that is their donuts and cronuts made up for my utter disappointment due to the lack of primates at their establishment. The people that work here are awesome though, so I forgive them for faking me out and getting my hopes up that first drunken 3 am morning I hoped to surround myself with chimpanzees while eating a donut. I've been coming back ever since.

One day I was perusing through instagram, just arbitrarily looking at others' food posts, I stumbled accross a photo of these delightful little cronut looking pastries with strawberries atop them. a dozen of them. I immediately had to find out where and how these were acquired. Turns out, these were cresnuts made by DK donuts in orange. (just the orange location). Yelped for reviews (and photos) and decided I had to make my way to Orange and get my hands on a few. Now to find a reason to drive in that direction.... Cause surely only genuine fatties drive out of their way for donuts right?! A girl friend of mine was coming from a Beachbody (fitness) retreat that weekend and we were meeting up for breakfast. I figured she needed something fattening after a weekend of P90xing. As I was deciding on a place, I somehow arranged for a resto that would be near DK.. Unintentional. Really! There was I was driving to DK, I was already rehearsing my order in my head based off of the yelp reviews/ photos. Nutella cronut, original cronut, chocolate delight, strawberries and cream, red velvet donut, maple bacon... I had a plan. Plan thwarted when I arrived there and the irresistable options were more plentiful than I could have anticipated. Shit. Everything smelled so good--including the breakfast sandwiches. 20 minutes passed, after waiting for a fresh batch of donuts (I showed up as they opened) and $30+ later I had two boxes in my passenger seat. Im not going to lie, I ate two on the way to breakfast, evidenced by the nutella that got stuck on my lip. And boy were they good. I wasn't a big fan of their custard but the strawbelly nutella and maple bacon were definitely worth its four hour equivalent of working out. Nomnom indeed.

Huge variety here and they aren't afraid to play around. Not everything is a hit, to be sure, but there are some great ones. In its price range and style category, the fritters are notably tasty and the cronuts/dossants are the right combination of chewy, moist, and flaky that makes it obvious you're actually eating a different breed of pastry. Whether it's worth the extra price is left as an exercise for the individual; I'll happily indulge once every three or four trips. The individual touches with the cream and fresh strawberries are absolutely worth getting. It's not so much that the cronuts are overpriced (they're right in line with most other trendy foods, cheaper than your average premium cupcake), but that the rest of the donuts are quite tasty - maybe not world-beating, but a solidly above-average donut is notable enough - and extremely inexpensive. Best donuts in a pretty large area.

  • Yvonne L.

Honestly tho... At first I was like OMG it's $12?! For half a dozen like what... That's so expensive But honestly guys it's so good. I wish I could relive that first bite of that OG Cronut.

Imagine this, we first went to good ole' M & M donuts to get our blueberry fix, but then the line, it moves..but it takes over 1 hour plus just to get your order..so we yelped another place and the rest is history..hello DK's Donuts. We just attended a wedding reception...we weren't hungry, just wanted our sweet tooth fix. I originally yelped this place awhile back hearing about their cresnuts, but when we came close to midnight, it was sold out. The cashier helping us recommended the strawberry donut and that, my friends, did not disappoint. The pros about this place is that it's inexpensive. Our strawberry donut was about $1.50, it's open 24 hours, no line (so far, and I hope it stays that way), and the service is excellent. The cons is that it's cash only so keep your wallet stocked with some good old dollar bills. Other than that, can't really complain. We also tried their sugar and glazed donut, both were great. Imagine that with coffee. The glazed donut reminded me of Krispy Kreme, where it was melt in your mouth good. The sugar donut was fluffy, light, airy..everything you want in a sugar donut. It was not overwhelmed with sugar and it was not too sweet even though it was a sugar donut. The strawberry donut is basically a glazed donut cut in half, filled with cream and sliced strawberries (see my picture). It's so pretty, so make sure to take a picture before you eat it. We got it fresh, so I don't know anything about how it tastes like a few hours old. They also have a chocolate version of it. Furthermore, don't forget to check into yelp because there's a sweet offer as well. Next time, I will be sure to try their cresnut aka cronut. If you have instagram, be sure to follow their page because they update it regularly. Thanks DK Donuts for some good donuts!

A couple of coworkers usually bring donuts here so I decided to come here to see the place for myself. The shop is located in a small plaza next to a Del Taco, so if you can't find parking in the small plaza, just park at Del Taco. There's a small outdoor seating area for you to enjoy your donuts there. There is no indoor seating. There are plenty of signs telling you what cronuts they have on stock. I decided to get the original cresnut with strawberries, 2 strawberry shortcake donuts and a blueberry donut. I also checked in and got a free glazed donut. I tried a bite of all the donuts and they were simply fantastic. Although it was around 5 pm, the donuts still tasted very fresh. One thing that stood out to me was that the donuts were not too sweet, but just right. I love the service here. They are kind and very helpful with recommending donuts. They even gave me a extra free blueberry donut! If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying any of their donuts out!

Wow! They get crazy with passion here. The items are all dessert-like and can be filling...literally! Who knew there were many ways of creating a simple donut to art? My bf loves this spot. His sister introduced it to him and now, he only wants these donuts. My favorite, since I dont really have much of sweet tooth, were the Cres-Nut? Instead of donut holes, they have a unique taste. Mixture of a donut hole and a cresant! If you are in the area, definitely stop by for a small snack. BTW: Cash Only!

Never tried a 'cronut' before so DK's Donuts has the honor of popping my cherry--however their version is called the 'cresnut'. I love how they have different variations to choose from. When I visited this little bakery on a Sunday mid-afternoon it wasn't busy at all. The bf and I were the only customers and I was actually kind of worried that it would be packed or even sold out but luckily they weren't. My heart was set on the strawberry + Nutella cresnut and the bf picked the vanilla glazed cresnut. (FYI: cash only and there's only outside seating which is about 3 or 4 little tables). The vanilla glazed one was way too sweet. I didn't care too much for it. Should have opted for the original instead. But the strawberry + Nutella one stole the show. You can never go wrong with those 2 flavors. Strawberries and Nutella are the perfect marriage. Add in the 'cresnut' and you get a burst of flavors and textures--sweet, tart, creamy, crunchy and soft. The best part of the pastry was pulling apart the crisp, thin layers and enjoying each one individually. I bet if I popped this baby in the microwave for a few seconds it would've tasted 10 times better. Although I enjoyed my 'cresnut' I don't see myself going on a journey to find the best 'cronuts' California has to offer. I tried it and I'm content. If I'm craving it--sure I'll come back to DK's--but I'm not really a donut-eating-kinda-gal.

I have to say that the donuts were delicious! A must try if you haven't had it! My friend and I shared half of four donuts. I must say, my favorite and most memorable were the cresnut (cronut) donut with strawberries and the strawberry shortcake donut! The strawberry shortcake was heaven in your mouth! Just the perfect ratio of donut to strawberries to custard! Not too sweet with the strawberries and custard with the donut. I love the texture and mouthfeel of this donut! This would be my to go donut when I go back. The famous cresnut donut I had tasted really good! I love the light sugar coating along with the strawberries! Make sure you ask for strawberries since on default it doesn't come with it. We also had the nutella donut. It was okay. Way too sweet! The fourth donut we tried was not memorable. I forgot what it was! Overall, good experience with delicious treats. There's not much to say about the decor for this place since it's a tiny building, maybe 600 sq ft building.

The cronuts here are amazing. We had the strawberry and nutella. They were crispy on the outside and wonderfully creamy on the inside. Try the breakfast croissants. We had the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. Best I ever tasted! So much better than Jack in the box or burger king.

*CASH ONLY* Super yummy donuts! My first time visit, and I had the vanilla glazed crestnut with vanilla custard and strawberries!!! OMG! I'm glad I live far or I would be here on the regular, and that ain't good for my health! But I will be back and telling friends! Great prices too!!! Remember to check in with your free donut!

The lady that works here is super nice, friendly and accommodating! She truly deserves the five stars herself, regardless of what the donuts taste like. But luckily, they're as great as she is! These donuts were heaven. I absolutely loved them. None of the donut places in Seattle holds a candle to this one, and I understand that might be a ridiculous and crazy statement to make. However, I don't care, because really. They were THAT great. I originally came here wanting to try their cronuts. I've heard so much about them originating in New York that I just had to have one. I knew I wasn't going to make it to NYC anytime soon, and I was SOL up in Seattle, so this was the next best option. The verdict? I was not disappointed. AT ALL. And the nice lady I mentioned earlier? I told her I was specifically looking for cronuts, and there was exactly one left in the display case. That was it. She then offered to make an entire new batch just for me. Now, I don't know if she does that for every other customer who comes looking for a specific pastry. But it was definitely extremely considerate and nice of her, considering it had already reached evening. Maybe they're so in demand or something, that she knew it was all gonna sell anyway. Which ever way. Turns out, these cronuts and the regular donuts themselves, were the best I've had in my life. Anywhere! That could change in the future. But for now, DK sits at the top.

Found this place completely on Yelp when I searched for best donuts in Orange County. While they weren't gourmet donuts, a.k.a. over-priced and over-hyped, I'd say they were thoughtful and extremely well done. I liked that they had donuts that others don't and they were excellent. We had the blueberry crumble, red velvet, and banana cream filled and the were they bomb. The cherry crueler (sp?) Was only ok, but I don't know if I've ever had a crueler (sp?) before so maybe that's just a style I'm not a fan of. The price was average donut price ($.90 each) and I would have paid more for them. I EXPECTED to pay more for them. I'm liking forward to going back.

Great donuts and awesome variety. Nutella cronut is amazing! I just wish they made more glazed buttermilk bars! Those are my favorite and they always run out :(

After going back in the afternoon, I am very grateful for the customer service from the owner. He was very kind and helpful and the sandwiches are consistently delicious. I had a bad experience coming at night, but I highly recommend this as a breakfast place.

Selection is inconsistent and they sometimes lack the bare essentials, but most of the doughnuts are delicious. The chocolate bars weren't very good and they are usually my favorite. The glazed crestnuts are scrump.

The donuts are fresh and they are damn nice to look at. Just know that this place is definitely cash only and the closest ATM is inside the adjacent bar in the same shopping center. After drooling over their Instagram page for some time, we decided we needed to make a pit-stop at the place while in the area. They have Cronut like donuts and a variety of other delectable bites resembling Snickers bars, Oreos, peanut butter and jelly, red velvet, blueberry, and more. It seems everyone comes from their Cresnuts - their version of a Cronut. What sets them apart from some of the other stores serving these popular items is that they make them in small batches so they stay fresh, but they also take the time fill it with fresh berries inside and out so that the presentation is pretty to look at when you receive. Just be patient when ordering, because they decorate each one to order. They are a little on the pricey side, but once you see the labor of love, it's worth it. Out of the two versions we got, I think the Nutella was my favorite. It won by default because I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon, and that is what was on the outside of the vanilla cream offering. It's definitely a rich dessert. Jeni C and I split each of them because of the large sweetness factor, and I was definitely full after the fact. Everything is pretty much carry out unless you can claim one of the two tables outside. But if the weather isn't great, you're probably not going to want to do that. Located right off Chapman, the parking is pretty awful. There are limited spaces in the lot in front of the actual store and the passage is one directional. If you don't see anything, you are forced to go back out on to Chapman to make a left back into the parking lot. We came around 4PM and it was pretty crazy with traffic. They do have a few more spots behind the post office and lounge, but other than that, you're on your own. I liked it and I'll come back. They apparently have amazing breakfast sandwiches, too!

For years I've noticed this place consistently has a line of people. I finally decided to try it out and the donuts were pretty great. Definitely not your ordinary kind. I'm not much of a donut eater but I fell in love with the blueberry and red velvet donuts. To be honest, these taste almost identical to the ones I have bought from the Donuttery in HBC which is pretty great because DK'S is only like a mile away from me vs. the Donuttery being like 20 miles or so away. It is however a bit difficult to communicate with the person helping you because it's all outdoors and you have to ask for your donuts through the glass while there are various cars driving by at about 40 mph. Not a huge deal though. I will definitely come back next time I want some donuts.

  • Michelle D.

Food rating: 3.5/5 Overall rating: 4/5 Location/ Parking: First off, let me tell you parking here sucks. It's a real tiny lot shared with other stores & basically leads you back to the street. Dk's donuts has this old school vibe bc it's not a store you go into but you just order from outside. Donuts: I thought the donuts tasted ok. But, I like how they have a unique selection of flavors such as Oreo eclair, Samoa donut, and even a bacon one. Customer service: Very attentive and kind. Tip: + check in to get a free donut. Although it says glazed, they said you can get a blueberry donut for free instead. + cash only !!

I was craving gourmet donuts but Sidecar was too far. So I yelped for some donut shops and stumbled upon DK's Donuts of Orange. I got the nutella crestnut, banana cream pie one, red velvet (free bc of the yelp check-in!), green tea, original strawberry cream pie, and apple cinnamon along with a bottle of milk ($1.79). I can definitely vouch for the nutella crestnut. I mean, come on, you can't go wrong with anything and nutella. The banana cream pie tasted like that fake banana flavoring that I do not like. So if you like that fake banana taste, it's all you. Th green tea donut was quite disappointing bc I thought there would be a green tea custard fill. I poked my finger through it thinking there was, but alas, there was none to be found. I didn't get to try the apple cinnamon but I did try the red velvet and the strawberry one. All in all, I'd definitely come back again.

Cronuts seem to be hit or miss to be honest. I went once early in the day and had one so crispy and delicious I understood what all the fuss was about. I went another time and it was a little mushier and just seemed like a regular donut. Specialty donuts are creative and even when they don't fully hit the mark they give you an experience you wouldn't have had otherwise (BACON). Given the scarcity of places like this, I think I'd be remiss if I didn't give them a full house.

After seeing one good review after another good review, I finally decided to stop by and see what the hype was about. Unfortunately, I wasn't that impressed with what I sampled. So I bought the following: Sirarcha Dount= Disappointing. I could barely taste the sirarcha at all, this donut wasn't spicy at all. In retrospect I wish I grabbed a bottle of the sauce to add some kick to the donut!!! I wasn't sure what the point was with placing bacon on the donut, this just tasted like a flavored glazed donut with some bacon bits. 2 stars. Snicker Bar= Just ok. The "snickers" flavor on this bar was a bit overpowering. This was really just a chocolate bar with some caramel and nuts added to it, not sure why they would call it a snickers bar. 2 stars PB & J=Another disappointment. This was a jelly donut with some peanut butter flavored glaze on it, it would've been much better if they injected the donut with PB, similar to Station Dounts. The jelly was gross, it was that donut jelly, not jelly you get at a store. 1 starr Strawberry Cronut= Our favorite of the bunch, I actually think this is their strength, the cronut. Good execution, and plenty of strawberries! I wish I had just got a bunch of those! Lol. I liked their cronut better than Friendly Donuts. 4 stars Glaze Dount= Just another disappointing plain donut. Didn't taste very fresh, almost like they weren't made on site. 2 stars From looking at pics and other reviews, it appears that the Samoan donut might be the way to go, but I'm not a fan of the ingredients. To me the donuts here all seemed to be plain donuts that were modified to be something else. I might give this place another shot at some point, as I know I didnt try everything they had to offer.... Over at Friendly Donuts it felt like someone was actually making 'gourmet' donuts, so I'll stick with them whenever I want to wreck my diet for the day!

Pricing for cresnuts (cronuts) was definitely reasonable. I was hoping to try their banana cream pie cresnut, but apparently one has to order that online the day before. Pricing is more reasonable as compared to other cronut places. The glazed cresnut starts at $1.95 and pricing goes upto $3.45 with options to add strawberries or cream for a nominal fee. I think it was $.75 extra. I opted for the Nutella cresnut and churro cresnut with strawberries and cream. The nutella cresnut appeared as if it didn't have much nutella, boy was I mistaken. There is more than enough of the chocolatey goodness of nutella. The cresnut itself was light and crispy, and surprisingly it wasn't greasy like some of the other ones I have tried. The inside had some nice doughy goodness, but it was really the nutella that overpowered the treat. I would highly recommend it. The churro crestnut tasted basically like a churro with cream and strawberries inside. I probably should have gone with something more traditional so I could have tasted the flaky crispiness that I experienced in the nutella crestnut. The red velvet donut was good also. It was moist and had nice icing. It didn't have the red food coloring after taste that red velvet cupcakes often succumb to. I'll definitely be back to try their other cronuts/crestnuts. This is my go to spot for cronuts in the OC!

Just got back from San Francisco today and been having this sweet tooth all day.. Finally decided to try DK's donuts! I read other reviews and they said we could call in to reserve donuts? First of all.. WOW! Never heard if that before! Love that I could reserve so I don't have to come and wait in long lines just to find out.. Their out.. Anyway, the person who picked up was very sweet and friendly. They ran out of their famous Cresnuts so she recommended the strawberry shortcake. That was my second option so I reserved 3! I also reserved the chocolate delight.. Told her I'd be there in 20 minutes and she had no problem with it at all! When I arrived, the guy there was already expecting me! They were super friendly and very nice! I ended up getting the strawberry shortcake, chocolate delight, blueberry and something that just came out of the oven and just looked too good to pass up! The guy even added two extra donuts for free so I could try! Not to mention I even checked in for a free glazed donut! Everything just looks so delicious! I cannot wait to try them all!! I am huge on service! And because of their service I am giving them 5 stars. I've never had such service at a donut shop before! I am going to just bet their donuts are amazing as well based on the look and other reviews so no worries there. Overall.. I would definitely come back!! **Quick Tips** **CASH ONLY** **Call in & reserve!**

They have a great variety of donuts. I went specifically for the Nutella and Strawberry Cronut. It was great. One of the best Cronuts I've had so far. Everything tasted fresh. Open late and not too expensive.

Cressant is awesome (croissant/donut aka cronut) flakey crunchy on the outside, nice and soft in the middle. Reminds me of french pastries. Not crazy about the maple old fashion donut. Blueberry donut was ok... This place has a good variety of different flavors and open 24/7. Order outside. They also have the maple bacon donut. Checked in through yelp and received a free red velvet donut (yayy) it was also pretty good.

Look, I love Cronuts. And I mean love. Cronuts are proof of God's sense of humor. He figured the Red Sea thing and creation were all great, but they were really serious. So, to make sure we knew He had a funny bone, God gave us giraffes, anteaters, and Cronuts. he also created churros, but that's another story. Now, in the world of cronuts there is good, better and best. Let's get right down to it and tell you that DK's on chapman has the BEST Cronuts around. PERiod. I should know, I've ordered Cronuts from here to Hoboken and these win. A-MAZ-ing selection of Cronut varieties. I mean huuuuge. And they're fresh, soft, crispy, gooey, sugary, glazy, pillowy and delicate without being wussy. My favorite is the glazed, but then again, I'm a purist. Can't go wrong here, folks. Open 24 hours and they ALWAYS have them. Cash only. Crappy neighborhood at night. Perfect Cronuts, nice owners, clean shop, beautiful variety, perfect flavor. Fresh always. Bring your cardiologist.

Why OH WHY have I never been here before?! I could get super dramatic and explain in detail my deepest woes about this. However, this is a review, not an autobiography. Ahem!! SOOO, this place... This place has my heart. CAUTION: you WILL encounter drunk people after midnight. Just a heads up. So this heavenly place is a cash only establishment, but you don't have to come loaded as the pricing is pretty fair and reasonable (as in 4 donuts and two small milks for 8 bucks) for such fancy donuts. Fancy as in gourmet. So if you like peanut butter, bacon, and banana cream, GET THE ELVIS DONUT. It's a lovely combination of all of the above, and sounds funky (maybe) but looks and is delicious. You have a basic cream filled donut, right? Fill it with banana cream, and cover it with peanut butter. Still breathing? Good. Now top it all off with a generous portion of bacon bits. Don't die on me, guys. That's just the first donut. Next, if you love Nutella and strawberries, you will probably have a lapse of consciousness if you try the Nutella and Wild Strawberry donut. MY GOODNESS. So it looks pretty cute and basic... Not too fancy or loud, another filled donut BUT with strawberry inside, and then topped/covered with a tease-full amount of Nutella drizzled with what seems like a white frosting. ONCE you bite this delicious creation, you may have tears of joy, and you WILL have a watering mouth (if you don't already). Next, the Samoa donot. I repeat, DONOT. As in do not get this donut if you are pretty "meh" about samoas, because this fancy looking thing was a let down!! It looks so gorgeous with its classic donut shape with the bottom portion dipped in chocolate and topped with toasted coconut drizzled with chocolate. Once bitten, my expectations were shot.. It was so dry! It didn't taste very good at all.. I do not recommend it to anyone, really, (hence the "donot" and four stars) but if you're a crazed Samoa fan, just be aware that you may want to settle for the cookies rather than this. It could ruin it for you forever. Lastly, my normal go-to favorite!! The white cake, rainbow sprinkles donut!! So simple, yet so good. The cake was nice and fluffy, and the frosting and sprinkles were literally the icing on the cake. ;D (I do prefer this donut from Manna Donuts in Redlands, though. Check out my review of it if you'd like.) They have milk, which is common, but not guaranteed at all donut places. So it's great to wash down all that cake with! Definitely worth the 20 mile road trip. Yes, 20 miles. Happy donutting!! :D

We come here maybe once a month or so(for the past year ) & we are always satisfied. The Nutella is one of our favorites along w/the crunch berry and of course the blueberry. The staff is always friendly, bring cash. We haven't had a bad experience.

Finally got to try this place after seeing so many photos! They put together their Cresnuts (aka Cronuts) when you order so that it stays crispy. I ordered the Nutella & original Cresnut, their strawberry filled donuts and Oreo donut. I didn't get to try the Cresnut until late at night and it was still crispy even though I bought it in the afternoon!! Delish. I would have to say I liked the original better, strawberry filled donuts were also good. The Oreo donut was a bit disappointing but it was okay since I finally found a place with delicious cresnuts/cronuts!! Will definitely be coming back here again to get more cresnuts!!

When I went for the first time I had a couple to try since they all looked great...After math talk about food coma it was well worth it lol. My favorite would have to be the peanut butter and jelly. See my self getting this as a treat every now and then :)

Came here tonight since it was close by and we were craving donuts. The donuts themselves were decent, but the service was questionable. I asked the girl working (who didn't seem to understand much English) what type of filling was in two particular Halloween-themed donuts. She said they had no filling, but I could clearly see an opening hole in one of them with a red coloured jelly. When it came time to pay, I gave her $20.75 to pay for $6.75 since I didn't want loose coins, and even with her cash register she gave me incorrect change. I told her she had given me incorrect change and instead of apologizing and checking, she reluctantly rejected at first, then realized her mistake and tossed the correct change towards me. Rude. Knowing I can find the same generic donut taste elsewhere, I won't be coming back here.

YAASS. So good. The matcha donut, vanilla glaze cronut stuffed with strawberries, snickers, and PB+J are delicious. Not what you would expect from the outside. Also- really cute packaging.

My favorite donut shop!! I always stop by when I'm in the area for a Nutella cresnut, a chocolate delight and a Samoa (x4 because who doesn't need a dozen donuts). Expect a slight wait when ordering anything with sliced strawberries because the donuts are freshly prepared...so delicious! Not only are the donuts great, but the service is even better!!

THIS PLACE TAKES CASH ONLY Original Glaze: Better than Krispy Creme only because you can taste the oil in Krispy Creme donuts. The orignal glaze at DK's is everything you would want/desire. Glaze Cronut: Hands down the best thing they have. I take it to my family dinner parties and everyone goes nuts. There are never leftovers. $1.95 each. Blueberry Cake Donut: Geezus this is good. The owner wanted me to try something different, so I did...and now my boyfriend and I are hooked.

So I have been super craving a #cronut aka a #donut made out of a #croissant or a cresnut as they are called here for weeks now or really since I first tried one in Vegas at thanksgiving. So I searched #yelp for a place that makes them here and while according to the excellent reviews this place is good they use waaaaaaaay to much glaze especially on a donut with all those #flakylayers that are going to soak up the glaze bleh still on a search for a good cronut that won't give me excessive #cavities lol oh ya the #croissantsonutholes were aight a little extra chewy but not to bad. So while I don't hate the place I don't think I'll go out of my way to go here again. I've had way better elsewhere

Absolutely the best. Gourmet donuts are reasonably priced. The best selection anywhere, I travel alot and always make it a point to get here for donuts. Staff is the freindliest, and quick with your orders. I would like to rent a room in the back. These are made with care, passion and love. YUM YUMM

More so a 3.5. But the service was excellent! The lady was so nice! She gave my son a free sprinkle donut just because. That's really exceptional customer service. But as far as the donuts go, they tasted just like any other donut shop. The chocolate delight and strawberry shortcake donuts looked amazing on yelp, but it was just a donut cut in glad and filled with a custard and sliced strawberries. We also tried a glazed donut (free with yelp check in), a bacon chocolate donut, and a m&m donut. It had a great texture but had that oily donut flavor left in my mouth. They didn't have cronuts when we came and they said it would be another 30 minutes. We didn't have that time to spare as we were headed back home so I'm disappointed I didn't get to try that.

Soooo over the disappointments at this place. This use to be a good donut shop but I suppose their success has lead the owners down the path of self-ruin. What's my gripe? They charge you 60-75 cents extra for EVERY "premium" or "gourmet" donut you select. Their mixed plain dozen is already $9.50, hardly a great value. "Premium" and "gourmet" donuts refers to anything other than their glazed donuts. Krispy Kreme by comparison charges $9.49 for a mixed dozen of donuts, but Krispy Kreme does not charge anything extra for their "premium" donuts. Today was the last straw. They barely had any donuts on the shelves, pretty much half-full. I guess I was still an optimist. I walked away with nothing i wanted...and I don't know what's worst, walking away with donuts one does not care to eat, or being over-charged for those donuts?

DK I LOVE YOU! Seriously, where can you go at 5PM and get a doughnut that is FRESH as HELL?!! NOWHERE but DK'S! My mom & I were on an adventure to finally try DK's since the parking is BAD! And when I mean BAD, I mean BAD! Mentally prepare yourself to fight over parking since its about the size of your finger! Other retailers are also in the space (Nutrition Zone, the Post Office, a Cigar spot) Not to mention there is only 1 way in and 1 way out so be PATIENT! The parking is definitely worth the patience when you get to try a delicious doughnut! The staff is friendly their nice and let you take your time when deciding what to get! Good pricing and BOMB doughnuts is perfect for me! 3 doughnuts for $2.60! This was our 2nd trip here and this is what we had: -1 Bacon Crounut -1 pink French Cruller -6 doughnut holes -1 twisty So everyone knows the "Cronut" trend going on, and I've seen cronuts 4-6 dollars which is INSANE! DK'S was under $2.50! Just as good so don't be fooled about pricey cronuts! This place definitely lives up to the hype & I am in LOVE with you DK's! ^_^

went on a late night run for families sweet tooth...if you have ever been here you know the set up I told the guy that there was a fly inside he said "oh there is two panes of glass the fly can't get to the donuts"...ok so I ordered right before paying my granddaughter notice a bug on one of the donuts it was not a fly it looked like a chocolate sprinlke with wings we showed him, left and went to Krispy Kream

Awesome donut place, especially to try cronuts. The cronuts were reminiscent of malasadas in Hawaii (i.e. Leonard's)- fried and doughy, lightly sprinkled with sugar. The oreo eclair and strawberry shortcake were also great, though they're not as much of a novelty as the cronuts. The lady working the cash register made this place even more awesome as well- she was super nice and threw in some free donut holes with our order.

  • Moppi X.

A blueberry donut that is just too fresh and hot to eat it right away? Check. The friendliest staff ever to expect at a donut place? Check. Make sure to stop by this gem which is independently operated and owned (and therefore not to be associated with all the other OC DK's) and try one of their basics or fancies. The apple fritter and the above mentioned blueberry glaze were worth every calorie. Not saying they beat The Donuttery, but they're getting dangerously close...

WARNING: You will come back for more of these mouth-watering donuts! DK's Donuts is my go-to place for donuts! You can get their delicious classics like the traditional glazed, chocolate, and maple donuts. Or even better, you can try their gourmet donuts like the cresnut, oreo bar, chocolate delight, red velvet, creme brulee, and more! Even better, you can get these gourmet donuts without paying the ridiculous gourmet price! What's not to love?! Heads up, this place is CASH ONLY! Also, don't forget to check in on yelp for a free donut!

I love their doughnuts!!!! Very creative people and they look amazing. The only thing is customer service isnt the best sometimes. I've had one lady who sometimes is a lil rude and messes up my order but I've also had another lady whom gave me exceptional service. But i do keep going cuz the doughnuts are sooooo good. Itd total worth the drive for their Oreo doughnut & cronuts

I literally drive 15-20 just to have one of their heavenly custard-filled cronuts. Every cronut i've ordered thus far is made on the spot.....so everything is SUPER fresh! $3.50-4 for one which is a deal considering the size of the thing and other places that sell them. The workers here are the sweetest and you won't find this kind of window to customer service anywhere else. (I've compared other donutteries nearby and cronuts are SMALL and service is horrible) The location is really easy to find and parking is decent. MUST TRYYYY OKAY

There donuts are delicious! I've been coming here for years!!! Always good priced too! I recently had a donut that had bacon, peanut butter & had creme filling! It was probably one of the best donuts I've ever had there! But all their other donuts are very good as well. I like the place too also because it's family owned! I will always keep coming here as long as it's around

My new favorite do-nut shop. We got the famous chocolate stuffed with strawberry and filling do-nut, I forgot the name but it was amazing. We also got the Oreo stuffed do-nut that had whip cream inside. The blueberry and crumb donuts were also incredible and best of all this place is open 24hours.

The donuts are so fresh, so original, and so yummy. We got an assorted dozen and none have disappointed. I claimed the yelp offer too and got a free donut no questions asked. It was cash only and there was a really long line, but it was totally worth the wait. I'll definitely be coming back!

When I'm feeling like a true fatty this is the place I go to. Bomb maple bacon donut, snikers donut and the Nutella donut are too good to just eat one. The lady is super nice and polite she even gave me a free milk since I told her it was my breakfast. She's truly awesome and the donuts are too bomb to pass up on.

LOVED our experience here! My boyfriend and I came here yesterday because he saw some amazing pictures online and had to try some for himself. Not only did we plan to buy some for us, but for both of our families as well. We got mostly deluxe donuts! We enjoyed the artistic work on these donuts and how appealing they were to the eye! Jose and I cut up twelve donuts and we literally sat and sampled each of them. Our favs were the maple bacon donut and the strawberry cheesecake We were helped by Adam - who was theeee friendliest dude! He made our experience the best. He gave us a few samples of their cronuts as well! He was helpful, interactive, energetic, seemed to enjoy his workplace. I really appreciated that and we were completely more than satisfied. He also wrote all the flavors on the boxes! The only thing we were bummed about was that this branch (I guess they make different donuts from one another) didnt have the ube donuts we were craving! Wish there was one closer to where we lived in IE. Hope to visit again :)

We've finally made it! A little late to hop onto the CRONUT train, but it's totally worth it! We drove all two way from west Orange to this place because of the positive reviews on yelp, and let me tell you, this place lives up to the hype. It's a small cash only establishment where you order from the window, but that's no biggie cuz these things are to die for!!! I don't care if I had to order from across, lol. Anyway, we ordered an original glazed with custard filling, a chocolate Nutella filled with fresh strawberries, and another chocolate Nutella stuffed with whipped cream and strawberries! I'm telling you, you MUST COME HERE and experience them in person if you haven't yet! Yummm!!!

Wow!!! My fiance took me here and I was skeptical about this cronut thing lol But WTF was I thinking!!! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO delicious! Check in here and you get a free glazed donut...score...but he upgraded us to a red velvet donut for free...DOUBLE SCORE! The cronuts are amazing!!! We had both with strawberries inside but mine had whipcream too :D I had the vanilla glazed cronut...he had the more original one that was more flaky like a croissant. Deff going back...so yummy!

Crestnut... i asked for a plain crestnut, and they come back with strawberries in it... my friends ordered some fancier crestnuts, but all i wanted was a simple one and it was made incorrectly. I'm not sure if i waited to long to enjoy mine...(eaten a day later due to traveling back to San Diego)...but i definitely knew i didn't want the strawberries. It was my first cronut equivalent, & it was good, i just probably need to eat one fresh. CASH ONLY! ---huge note, and mistake on my end. I officially still owe my BFF $3.50...and i will pay her back! ..ALSO, my friends each got a free additional donut and i didn't get shit!

Quick Review: Woo, delicious sugar of blueberry and red velvet delight. Chill location, open all the time and will destroy your sweets craving with happiness. Pros: Blueberry donut. Red velvet donut. Cresnut Strawberr... sorry I'm eating now Cons: Hmm, none really Donuts are donuts and perhaps you have your own favorite donut place. This can be among them, because they make some solid donuts! If you like to venture outside of plain glazed, these offerings are great. I think the blueberry is maybe 5% too sweet for me, but at 5% that variance is preferential. Inside, the donut is solid, crumbly delight. The red velvet is the same way. I have mixed feelings on the Cresnut, because I think it's a good donut but I wouldn't want one all to myself. I also think it is a bit bit bit pricey, but not terribly so. Just kinda barely high for a donut but it's quite good. If I am near here, I probably would always stop by for a couple of treats. =)

Let me start by saying I looooove cronuts! And my absolute favorite here was the Nutella Strawberry Cronut, which would make sense since I have an obsessions for nutella. I tried the strawberry shortcake after, which is just a regular donut with strawberries and strawberry creme in the center, but it tasted like a downgrade after my cronut. Once you go CRONUT, you DO NUT go back. haha.

Sadly unimpressed. Maybe it's because we went late but it was really bad, a real shame as we'd been looking forward to this place for awhile. The website had no notice of cash only and when we asked the guy who worked there he said he didn't know where there was an ATM nearby. On top of that he had no idea what the donuts were or what was on top of them? He kept saying he didn't know the names but we were asking about ingredients of the toppings for allergies. Since he ignored us at first to make fresh donuts I assume he must have some idea what goes on the donuts. Whatever it was it hadn't been listed on the website. Most of the flavors we were hoping for weren't there which we expected for the hour but ultimately it wasn't worth the trip beyond our usual places or even your basic corner donut shop. We'll stick or Donut Man or Donut Friend from now on.

The cronuts and donuts here are delicious! But what really got me was how nice the guy behind the glass was! He offered me extra donut holes and a blueberry donut, which I will probably get next time. The cronuts are fresh, as he made sure to accommodate my large order and made my own batch. Customer service was excellent, and their treats are heaven. I hope they expand their business down to South OC Coast areas soon!

Tried the bacon dossant, apple pie dossant, Nutella dossant, and basic glazed donut. Wasn't a fan of the dossants here, they aren't as crunchy and flakey as I've had. The layers are sort of soft and chewy, for me a good dossant let's you peel away the crunchy layers because it's so deliciously buttery and fried to perfection. The classic glazed donut, Delicious. I would recommend the classic donuts here.

The most important thing to know is that it's CASH ONLY for us plastic freaks, so hit the ATM before you succumb to your donut craving. They're open 24/7 which already gives this joint a leg up on Krispy Kreme. Plus, when I gave the cashier my disappointed "face" when she told me they were out of bacon maple bars, she kindly said she would add bacon to one of the regular maple bars for me in a jiff! (Which she did...LOTS OF IT!) There are choices that include Nutella, bananas, strawberries, vanilla, chocolate, blueberries...you name it, they probably will make it for you! I showed my Yelp! app for my free Red Velvet treat, which they were out of to my dismay, and found 3 extra FREE donuts in my box when I got home "just because". Not the best donuts I've ever had, but certainly close to the top of the list and better than any chain will EVER do!

This place is amazing & the service is even better. It was 915 pm & they had fresh donuts. The employees were very friendly & real nice. I got a bacon maple bar, red velvet, peanut butter and jelly, a plain and a glazed donut. I'll be back very soon that's for sure.

The go-to donut shop in central OC. If you're looking for quality specialty come here. They have a variety of traditional donuts as well as different "cresnuts" Combine a croissant and a donut and you have something spectacular. Here, they are light, crispy, and have the perfect amount of sweetness. I will come here time and time and time again!

Been hearing all the craze on cronuts for a while but never had a chance to try them so did some calling around and found this place that had em! -called to see if they had cronuts -very nice lady at the end said yes and even offered to hold some for me - i ended up reserving 6 and said I would pick them up in an hour -got there in about 45 minutes so they said i had to wait a bit, no big deal waited less than 5 minutes. -there was always a short line when i was there, never long but people just kept coming! -very nice service -free donut for checking in -they gave us 2 extra free donuts in the box of cronuts we bought! A++++++ i will definitely be back for more, I tried both the original and nutella cronuts and i have to say the nutella one is 10x better, i highly recommend it.

Yummy donuts! Saw the awesome reviews on yelp and decided to try it out last night. This place is great and not too far away from my house. I actually wish I knew about it earlier because I did clinicals for nursing school right down the street from there lol. Anyways the original cresnut ($3.50) were really tasty. Still have a strawberry shortcake in the fridge for later. The 2 people working there last night were super friendly and helpful. Peaked in my box on the way home and discovered a free donut! Thanks! Will try their blueberry donuts another time. It's awesome that this place is open 24 hours a day. Don't think I'll be driving down to M&M donuts in Anahiem anymore.

I've had various donuts on their menu and I've never been disappointed. They have a nice assortment of various donuts ranging from your ever so popular croissant donuts to samoa donuts. Whatever entices your taste, I'm sure you won't be disappointed with DK's. Just remember to bring cash since they're cash only.

Called ahead yesterday for cresnuts (after seeing all the pictures on IG) and came by this morning to pick them up. It was my first time here and first time trying cronuts. I ordered both their Nutella and original cresnut and I have to say, the original was amazinggggg! I had to try their shortcake donut also (seeing from the pictures, how can you not?!) and that too was delicious (one if my favorites!). The Nutella was good also but I was a bigger fan of the originals! I love how fresh these donuts (and strawberries) are and they were still making them when I came to pick it up :) Definitely one of the best donut joints I've ever been too...i even overheard the boyfriend say it was better than Krispy Kreme! (uhh, yea! By a long shot!)

My boyfriend and I found out that they just made a new batch of strawberry crestnuts through their Instagram account. So we drove over to DK's Donuts on Saturday morning to cop two of their popular crestnuts! I showed the lady/owner my yelp in for a free glazed donut and she gave us two glazed donuts: red velvet and blueberry. Jeff ordered the ham and cheese croissant as I ordered one strawberry crestnut and the original crestnut. To my surprise, they gave us an extra strawberry crestnut for free. AWESOME! I must tell you how delicious these strawberry crestnuts are! It's flaky like a croissant but has the consistency just like a donut and has this amazing custard in the middle with sweet sliced strawberries! It's worth the drive, I had to travel 3 freeways, the 57, to the 22, to the 55 off Chapman! Bring CASH.

Are donuts just an excuse to eat cake for breakfast? Perhaps. Is it bad to eat five donuts in one night? I would not disagree. However....DK DONUTS DOE. I am not a huge donut person but these were so pretty and delicious. We got an assorted dozen for $18. Pretty pricey, but the pastries are worth it. The Nutella cronut is very good. I'm not a huge nutella person so it wasn't AMAZING for me, but I could see how a chocolate fan would be obsessed. We also got Bacon Sriracha as a joke but it turned out to be pretty good. I don't know where they got the idea for this or how they came up with a recipe that worked but I'd say it's worth it. Apple pie was delicious- they don't skimp on the delicious apple and cinnamon filling. Nutella-banana was also good, perfect if you like fluffy banana custard. Free glaze donut with check-in, definitely worth it because even their original glaze is mindblowingly superior to other donut places. We also got the Oreo cream, strawberry shortcake, red velvet, lemon blueberry, Samoa, and peanut butter-jelly because they're the most popular ones. Haven't gotten around to eating them yet but they look very promising :D

Great selection of donuts, with new "innovative" flavors like Samoa, bacon maple bars etc. Not as expensive as Sidecar, though probably not quite the quality. However, great service from the staff, usually the owners I think. Very friendly, yet they move the line along which can get long in the morning. All in all, solids donuts that are fresh, at a good price.

Donut attack, commence! My roommates and I all had cravings for donuts late one evening, and one roomie said "DK's!" New to the area, I immediately agreed to go on this donut aqcuisition mission with them. This tiny, cash-only donuttery had a full view of delicious donuts of allll types, and we promptly selected a few to try, including two of my favorite stand-bys: buttermilk with maple frosting and chocolate cake donut with choco frosting. Both were pretty good, but for me, it's pretty hard to mess up donuts in the first place. Still, they were open late, the donuts were good, and the service wasn't lacking per se, just a bit rigid - but that could've been the language barrier! I'd come back again for the next craving :)

Never tried a cronut other than the cronut/cresnuts from this DK Donuts...and I'm totally cool with that...because I am in love. Pastries are my weakness...fat kid problems... They call em cresnuts here...idgaf what they call it--its flaky sugary goodness! I've tried the strawberry with creme on a regular cronut, also on glazed, and the Nutella with strawberries--winner for me would have to be the strawberries and creme with the regular cronut, but the bf swears by the glaze...its a lil bit too sweet for me and I like how the regular cronut stays a little more flaky vs. the glaze ones (We always take em home...these are so yummy they must be eaten medicated if you know what I mean ;P) and how it kinda reminds me of a churro because of the cinnamon and sugar (I love churros). The nutella one is good, but IMO, there was too much of it, killed the texture of the cronut for me. Cronut with strawberries and creme or nutella are $3.50. They just started having cronut holes...for 25cents each you're a fool if you don't try one...warn you, they're addicting...the bf swears they're better than having a cronut, but that's his opinion--they are good, but I'd never say that! If you're lucky the very nice lady might give you one secretly and then you'll end up back in line for more like I did. Tried their blueberry cake donut and it was yummy...soft and moist. Makes me curious about the red velvet and pumpkin spice (hopefully it wasn't a seasonal thing). DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK IN to get a free glazed donut. I never cared for regular glazed donuts, but the damn glaze donuts here are so soft and the glaze isn't all dry like some other donut places its so hard to say no...my glaze donut never makes it out of the parking lot. Their donuts are always fresh. Call ahead if you're really determined to get a cronut--sometimes they run out, but don't fret if you don't see any if you get there, sometimes they have em in the back. Customer service at this place is awesome, the ladies are always so sweet! Definitely a place you must try!

Did a late night run to this place and it wasn't bad at all. I ordered the blueberry doughnut, red velvet, and cream strawberry chocolate doughnut. If you checked through yelp you get a free glazed doughnut. The doughnut: +beautiful colors +not that sweet +dense +delicious The red velvet doughnut was not good, and I came here hoping they would have cronuts. Unfortunately, they didn't.

Let me start by say how amazing their specialty donuts are!!! Oh course this place has your ordinary donuts that you can find at any other donut shop but besides that they have specialty donuts. And wen I say they are special, I mean it. I got a dozen specialty donuts. The cost was pretty pricy for being donuts but since they were special I guess it was alright; around $17. When I arrived, all their donuts were full on the racks and up for grabs, so I grabbed. I got flavors like maple bacon, peanut butter jelly, piña colada, snickers, somoa, strawberry cake, red velvet cake, apple pie and much more. Every donut I tried and others tried were immediately loved. I went a few days ago and I already want to go back. PS: check in on yelp and get a free glazed donut! (Delicious for being ordinary)

I love this place. The service is always I point. Everyone seems to be happy to help you. The donut selection is fresh and has wide variety esp for being open 24/7. From crossiants, cronuts to traditional donuts. Everything I have tasted has not disappointed me. My favorite is the traditional raised donut as well as the original cream and fresh strawberry cronut. The original cronut runs $2.95 and it crispy crust is coated in cinnamon/sugar filled with a custard and fresh strawberries. They also have a PB&J cronut, apple filling cronut, a Nutella cronut, and strawberry pie cronut.

Great donuts and great cresnuts. Came here around 10:30pm on a Monday night. Lady up front was VERY FRIENDLY! There were plenty of cresnuts still coming out. I got all 3 types of cresnuts. Nutella cresnut was definitely a top. All cresnuts are $3 each, +50cents to add strawberry's but it does take a while if there aren't any ready yet. Strawberry short cake donut was amazing! ($1.50ea) All and all, i enjoyed going here and i highly recommend this place if you are in search of good donuts and want to try decent "cronuts". Plus, they are open 24/7! I ordered so many that she gave me a couple free samples, including Red Velvet and Blueberry. Both donuts were great as well!

DK's blueberry donuts are better than M&Ms. Finally tried the cresnut, which is their version of the cronut (donut + croissant). It was flaky on the outside, and light inside (like a croissant) but more dense than a regular croissant, which I guess is the donut side (besides the shape). There was just enough filling and it wasn't overpowering or too sweet. I scarfed it down like there was no tomorrow. Friendly service too!

There are many donuts to choose from. To me all donuts taste the same. This place was open late and was nearest to me at the time and had a good check in incentive for first timers. Check it out for yourself. The owners and employees are cool and nice people, which was a change from other donut shops. Cronuts are great here.

My search for the best cronuts is finally over!!! I love DK donuts!! I will go to Disneyland so I can pass by here. I got my whole crew addicted to cronuts!!! Lol. Always friendly service but make sure you have cash! Each cronuts cost about 3-3.50 depending on the flavor and toppings. My favs is the Nutelle. To for for! Worth the calories!

This review is soooo long overdue.... I have been coming here for a while and the thing that I appreciate the most is the outstanding customer service. Adam seems to always be there and he always has a smile on his face, even at 5:30 in the morning (which is my usual time I swing by). They even take special orders if you call with enough time. I ordered a bunch of donuts for my sons birthday. I had a specific request which was that I wanted the donuts to have red and blue sprinkles and they cam out fabulous! there is a picture posted of the donut cake that I made. If you want amazing donuts and great service you will not be disappointed.

Cash only! Got a red velvet donut which tasted like a maraschino cherry. Good but not what I felt I ordered. I also got a blueberry which was also good. I was just sad I didn't get it heated to get the full experience. Place is all outside so not a hangout spot. I want to go back to try all their new flavors!

  • Anha N.

Omg!! They started making cresnuts! Their version of the oh so popular cronut. The Nutella one is to die for! Their chocolate custard and strawberry donut is a must here! Whenever I stop by my parents I bring a few over and it's gone before I can even out the box down! I have also done catering from them for two events! I requested them make mini cronuts/cresnuts and they did an amazing job! I was able to pick up an hour before my event so I had super fresh baked goods! My guests were so happy!

  • Alli Y.

Finally decided to stop by. They were out of cronuts though by 3:30 So I tried the blueberry & lemon blueberry donut which were both still warm. Soo good when they are warm! Will have to go back to try cronut.

The BEST donut I've ever had. I usually don't eat donuts and when I do it's Krispy Kreme. But my coworker brought some to work and oh my lawd it's good!!! She bought the chocolate donut with the creme and strawberries and some Oreo eclairs. Both were AMAZING. what's even more amazing is the strawberry crestnut. It was light and crispy and not too sweet. I would definitely wake up early to go get me some of these babies. And waking up early is something I don't do :)

O.M.G. Seriously. Why does this place exist? Answer: to make me deliciously fatter!!! Cheap donuts that are out of this world in quality. Their samoa donuts are the things dreams are made of. They make them all day, but I was there once and saw 7 in the window. By the time we got to the cashier, only 1 was left!!! I could eat those all day long. Equally amazing are their chocolate old fashioned donuts, their eclairs (the Snickers and coconut ones OM NOM NOM), and their strawberry frosted donuts. Totally worth a trip just for the samoas, but I guarantee you won't be able to walk away without buying a dozen. Like I've done twice now.

I actually feel annoyed with myself for not having as great an experience as all these other yelpers... My donuts were okaaaaayyy... Maybe I just wasn't in a donut mood? Weird. I was excited about the red velvet donut you get for free with a check in. Like too excited. I love free stuff and I love red velvet. However, they were out so the woman working offered me either a glaze or blueberry. Blueberry, obviously! Oh... you're out of that too? Even though you just said I could have one? Okay.... glaze works. :( I also got the nutella cronut. It was good. A lot of nutella (like, A LOT) and very flakey, in a good way. I think I was just annoyed about the red velvet thing and so I didn't enjoy this one as much... They were just alright. Didn't taste too fresh but not old. I may be back... still craving red velvet.

wanted to find a cronut/crestnut and I did. The Nutella one was delicious. Although the lady doesn't speak English very well they make quality donuts. I had a chance to try the glaze donut as well as the blueberry cake donut, which were both amazing. Even the bear claw was good if you really love sweet stuff. I will definitely be back to try more and will spread the word of cronuts!

Good place for donuts and cronuts. They are open 24 hours which is good if you have the late night munchies. I made a mistake the first time by not carrying cash but there is a bank at the next street. The vanilla cronut it good. The Nutella is something else.

This place isnt your ordinary donut shop. This is the donut shop of donut shops. They make their original concepts come to life and theres a mad dash for them so show up early. I know of people that make the long drive just to have their donuts from here, and I have friends that bought their family members donuts from here as their cake for their Bday. Trust me when i say this place has fresh donuts and the snickers bar and oreo bar are a huge winner. They also have delicious red velvet as well. This place is cash only. The staff is friendly and always willing to let you try something if its your first time.

    (5)
  • Angie Y.

You know what's so delicious? Their red velvet donuts! (: And this is why: - Beautiful color - Not overly sweet glaze - Slight crunch - Dense To top it all off, the lady helping us with the donuts wes very friendly. I've been here a few times. Usually they run out of red velvets by the late afternoon/ early evening. Their regular glazed donut is also great; very fluffy and airy, the opposite of the dense red velvet!

If I could marry a donut place it would be this place right here. I tried other places but my heart belongs to this one, no where else makes better donuts than DK's, hard cold fact there. the service is great and the good is even greater. The prices are EXCELLENT too which is always great. Im honestly going to go tomorrow and get some donuts. Their breakfast sandwiches are REALLY good too, I dont get them often but when I do I am spoiling myself with wonderful flavors. This place is amazing. If you are looking for a DELICIOUS donut place then stop looking because the best one in the whole world is right here!

  • Jennifer T.

Ive frequented this donut shop many times, whether early morning or late night, this donut shop always hits the spot. They have everything to suffice my cravings. Gooey ham & cheese croissants to fluffy cooked to perfection donuts! More recently they have started selling their specialty and seasonal donuts such as Fresh strawberry filled donuts, Red velvet, oreo donuts & snickers donuts. Theyre great about pre ordering and will set you up for events such as a birthday party or baby shower. The prices are very reasonable. The owners are very nice and hospitable. It definitely feels like they care about their customers and give great customer service. If youre looking for an awesome donut shop that is open 24 hours i might add. This is the way to go !

  • Sammy L.

Pretty decent selection, fresh ones are best...obviously, so it's worth it to call ahead and ask if they have hot donuts. Blueberry donuts are awesomeness :) believe me, I'm not a big fan of blueberry but this donut was delish! Red velvet donut is not bad, plus the cronuts or crestnuts are super yummy!

  • Abbey P.

Love their nutella cronut with strawberries. Absolutely delicious. I don't have to try anything else.

    (5)
  • Kristine O.

The faux-cronuts here are called cresnuts and they are delicious! It is best to call ahead to see if they have them available so they can prepare them for you. They are very friendly and even threw in a couple of extra donuts for us free of charge. Original cresnut: This comes with filling and strawberries. I like the texture and the flavor of this one the most. The sugar topping was a nice complement to the rest of the cresnut. Nutella cresnut: This has a nutella filling with strawberries, no sugar topping. While I liked the filling, I didn't think this one was as good as the original. Oreo donut: This is basically a chocolate bar split in half with an oreo filling in the middle-- so with the toppings and the split donut, it looks like a hotdog. The oreo cream filling wasn't too sweet, but I thought there was just too much of it. Snickers donut: This one tastes more like the chocolate shell of Drumstick ice cream! It was good and not overly sweet. I would buy this again. Red velvet donut: So there were two types: cake-like one and the one with chocolate on top (my donut vocabulary is limited). I preferred the cake-like one which was covered in glaze. The one with the chocolate topping just wasn't my cup of tea. Blueberry donut: This was just okay. I prefer the blueberry from M&M donuts. But if you don't want to wait in the crazy M&M donut line for fresh blueberry, this is a worthy substitute to get your fix. It all really comes down to what you prefer. They have a good selection of unique donuts and the cresnuts are great!

  • Kim L.

This is my go-to place for cronuts. Not only are they delicious but taste fresh which is key for me. I love their original glaze and nutella. There's also an option of adding strawberry filling for extra but I usually pass on it since I think it takes away the actual flavor of the cronut. The price of 3.50 each is decent compared to the DK in west la which charges 5 each, although I must say the one in la has more flavor selections i.e., green tea, taro, etc. The blueberry and red velvet donuts are also good. They remind me of cupcakes except in donut form. Worth trying!

  • Lara Y.

chocolate delight. that's all you need to know. bring cash, buy a dozen, and (maybe) share with your closest and dearest friends/ family members. tip: everything else is actually delicious so you may want to get an assorted dozen as well. :)

Yay I found an awesome donut shop that's open 24/7 and close to my house! I've lived in Orange quite a while and how come I'm just discovering this now??!!! This place must be popular because I went at around 9pm on a Tuesday night and there were still people there to get donuts as well. I really enjoyed the Strawberry and Nutella Crestnut (their version of a Cronut) and the Blueberry crumb cake donut. Free glazed donut when you check in on Yelp! Prices were reasonable and the ladies behind the counter were so nice. Just remember to have cash with you since it's CASH ONLY. Will definitely come back again!

  • Kevin H.

Forgot to pick up some cronuts at Frances in LA, so made a last-ditch effort for a place close by with some decent reviews for cronuts. The cronuts were pretty good, decent texture, crunchy exterior, and the optional strawberry filling is also great. It's just that after I finished this pastry, I felt like I ate a filling donut...kind of heavy~ Not bad by any means but not the best I've had.

  • Paulette S.

I HAD to see what the cronut was all about and so this place popped up... Since I was dying to try it I didn't mind driving from Carson.. I got the cresnut with Nutella and strawberries in it... It was so delicious... flaky and crunchy it wasn't like any donut or croissant I've ever tasted before. I also got 4 cronuts and 2 red velvet donut to share with other people and they also said it was super delicious

This place is absolutely boss. Amazing donuts and some of the most delicious donuts shop coffee. Their croissant breakfast sandwiches are always good on a weekend morning, and I love how they're pretty much always open. Best donuts in the OC.

5 stars because he always remember me when I come by to pick up Cronuts. But the real stuff, the donuts, are delicious. I mean if you've ever been to random donut places, you'll find that sometimes the donuts are stale. DKs is always fresh when I've ordered, and I've ordered at all hours. It's fun when theres a crowd there. I like to call ahead for the Cronuts so I fee special coming to pick them up, as if they're holding it especially for SPECIAL ME.

  • Becky H.

I didn't know what to expect out of my first experience with cronuts, but this place definitely impressed! The lady that helped me was so cute and informative with their choices. I finished ordering and within 3 or so minutes, I had my box of cronuts- one original and one Nutella flavored. PLUS I was surprised when I was handed a box bigger than enough for my two cronuts. Turns out that the guy inside added a complimentary donut and some donut holes for me! So sweet! Very impressed, DK's!!!

  • Omid K.

It is dangerous to have this place located so close to home. It's open 24 hours and it is the perfect place to satisfy a sweet tooth. The cronut is nuts. Get one and your life will forever change.....

  • Theresa L.

My stars are for overall service! I called one late night to ask if they had cronuts. The kind lady said "yes, but very few". She asked me how many I needed and that she will put them on hold for me. How exceptional is that! I was very appreciative for someone to go out of the way and do that for me. I was getting the cronuts as my cousins bday cake. I used them for the following day, and stored them in sealed containers to keep the freshness. It was still good the next day! Can't wait to go back and try the other donuts! Thank you!!

Great neighborhood donut shop. Reasonably priced and always have a fresh selection of donuts to choose from. Some of my favorites are the blueberry cake, red velvet (either with chocolate or vanilla frosting) and traditional cinnamon roll. Service is quick and super friendly. Parking is easy though can be challenging during "peak" hours.

  • Carmen L.

This place provides great service and heavenly donuts. We ordered their new creation, the cresnuts last week. Unfortunately, the batch they made for us turned out to be not the way they wanted. When I went to pick them up, Adam (the owner) explained to me of what is going on and offered us a free dozen of their famous strawberry donuts. And when the new batch of cresnuts were ready, they gave us a call immediately and we "ran" to pick them up. The strawberry donuts and the cresnuts were amazing! And the service was awesome! I am so glad they are so close to me because I don't need to pay 3-4 dollars to get a fancy donut from Side Car. Tips: Parking is a little tricky expecially during the daily business hours. Bring cash, if you forgot, there is an ATM machine at the bar at the corner.

Simply Awesome, not sure where to start. Always fresh, always friendly. Love the banana cream and the Nutella with fresh strawberries. Fair price with great quality. Makes a great late night stop. Hell, Makes a great stop anytyme of day or night!!!

Whenever I'm in the area and have some cash on hand DK's is a necessary stop. I went the other day with $3 but I had my eye on the premium selections. I asked the super friendly lady at the counter and she recommend that I try the Nutella cronut and insisted that I have it with strawberries. She said the extra few cents was no problem. It's really refreshing to see service where costumer experience is more important than the money. Ultimately she was right. The cronut was good but the strawberries made it fantastic. It's a good thing I rarely carry cash, I would have a belly full of donuts all the time. I can't wait to come back, they're always trying new , mouthwatering recipes. The Samoa is the next on my list!

  • Jackie C.

CRONUTS!!! They have an Amazing variety of Cronuts here! I have tasted there original and strawberry filled one! They are fresh and delicious. Also when you check it you get a free glaze donut! Which reminds me there regular donuts are pretty good too, so don't forget about those too!

I had just moved to Orange about 7-8 months ago! I had Dk's before at other locations but for some reason this location had better reviews... What do you know... I lived just 2-3 minutes from it... Made some midnight runs to DK's (good thing they are opened 24 hours) and tried thier Glazed Cronuts! 10 stars!!! Donut holes which I might add!!! the donut holes are on steroids!!! they are like triple the size of a normal donut hole... But it's soooo good and sooo inexpensive!!!! blueberry donut! you name it they have it... There are some interesting donuts they make too but I haven't had a chance to try them all... If I'm not craving a donut... I usaully order the egg sausage and cheese breakfast croissant. the portion is big! and super cheap & tasty! I love this place... 5 stars all the wayyyyyyyyyyy

  • Chon T.

dooooode...i almost pushed this to a 4.5 review, but one day i hope you will accept credit/debit! Ill pay the damn .50 extra! breakfast sandwiches and croissants are the real winners here. a turkey and swiss croissant with egg is the best way to start your day. the donuts here are actually pretty darn good here as well, with the bearclaw my fave. fresh donuts, awesome staff, stiff coffee, great sandwiches...dk is the way to start your day.

  • Vanny C.

The cronuts here taste so much more fresh than the ones in Santa Monica. Custard filled instead of creme. Both are delicious and this one is closer to home. Also husband called them ahead of time around 7:30pm to make sure they would have them and the person who answered the phone held it for him. Perfect!!!

My sister and I were craving donuts so we drove over one evening. We ordered a regular chocolate donut bar, nutella banana cream donut, cronut, and some cream donut. They were all so tasty!! I don't think cronuts are worth the $$ but they were all very tasty and tasted fresh. Will be back to get my donut fix!

Originally we came here for the Cronus but to our surprise we were greeted with one of the best services. She's a cute little Asian lady that greeted us with a smile that can brighten even a college student who totally bombed their finals. She patiently helped pick and customize a few donuts to our preferences. We're currently on our way back home, waiting to dig into these beauties, but are definitely coming back for that wonderful attitude of hers.

Whether it is 10am or 10pm, their donuts always taste amazing. They offer a great selection of breakfast sandwiches and drinks too. Their prices are very reasonable. I have lived in Orange all my life and this donut shop only gets better and better. DK's is far more delicious then those plastic Krispy Kremes things.

  • Julia M.

DK's donut shop is in a convenient spot with a small parking lot and some seating. We made the trip from Cypress and it wasn't a bad drive. The donuts speak for themselves and make any trip to get some well worth it! Snagged a dozen to go; an original and strawberry Nutella cronut, a few specialties, and the rest were classics you can never go wrong with. Every single one was great. The key to these donuts is they're not overly sweet. My husband is not the biggest fan of sweets but when he saw the PB&J in the window, he had to have it... It was a home run for him! The contrast between the classic jelly donut (sweet middle, glaze) and a lovely semi-sweet peanut butter frosting, ah, I could go on and on! My only wish was that if they had their famous Samoa donut, I would be completely happy with my visit! Will visit again.

Been going to this donut shop since I was a freshman at El Modena. It's family owned & the service is as great as their donuts. They recently started creating more gourmet donuts, like the Cresnut, & it's by far the best one I've had. Also try their chocolate donut with strawberry & custard filling. Make sure you call to make sure they have Cresnuts available because the go fast! Love Adam, Lynn & staff for amazing customer service all the time!

  • Vanessa L.

the best donut they have to offer is the blueberry donut. the crumb and regular glaze. nothing else is that special to me. I had high hopes for the red velvet. but it tastes like a regular donut and they just out red dye In it. I will be going back but only if I'm in the area for their blueberry donuts. nothing else. I still give the same rating.

I've been here several times and have never been a disappointment. The first time I went was obviously for their Cresnut but I ended up purchasing a variety of donuts plus the cresnuts. The staff has always been friendly and would throw in a extra donut or two every now and then and I love that they make your Cresnut on the spot. I've tried a bunch of their donuts but I've got to say my favorite would be their strawberry shortcake; it's just simply amazing and satisfying. Definitely my go-to donut shop.

Holy shit!! Are you shitting me!! There are only five stars here..this place needs ten! if you have any addiction problems you need to stay away from this place. stopped here out of a fluke on the way to a photo shoot...and immediately noticed that they had gourmet donuts. ordered a whole bunch of donuts and tried a bite of each one...Holy shit!!! I wanted to lick my cars center console for crumbs that were left over.... wow!! unbelievably fresh donuts. The lady told me that they make them 4 times a day for or more..fresh....you could taste of a quality ingredients and these werent little kid donuts... these are adult flavored donuts. Nutella banana creme donut..amazing. original vanilla cronut..filthy amazingness....maple bacon (CRACK) bar....omg!!! Which makes makes it worse!!!!! SAVE ME!!!! these donuts melt in your mouth..the cronuts are soft and flaky...and scrumptious. if you are looking for a place that has adult flavors ..this is it!!! Was hoping that DK donuts would deliver the goods that the other Yelpers rated so high. Unfortunately, the products did not live up to the reviews. The donuts were run of the mill and nothing special. The batters tasted bland and frostings were typically overly sweet. I'll go with my stand by "Goodys" in Cerritos. Would not drive out of my way to go here.

  • Sabrina L.

Extremely good customer service! I was surprised that there was no one else at the donut place. I had the Oreo Eclair, the Chocolate French Donut and the Chocolate Sprinkled Donuts. Donuts were okay for my taste. The French Donut and the Choclate Sprinkle donut was nothing special. The Oreo Eclair was not chocolatey enough for my taste. Wish they had a chocolate filling one as well. They have a large variety of unique donuts. Overall, great experience and worth a stop.

Ordered online for an assortment of cresnuts and jelly donuts. The fillings were just the right amount of sweetness for my asian palate. They were a big hit at the office; enough that my boss will overlook the post-its I take home. Situated in a small strip mall so keep your eyes peeled to drive into the parking lot.

I have a new obsession.....their donut holes. Who could have guessed that something so little and unassuming could make me so happy! It was 2:45 in the morning and the donut holes were fresh. Still warm and recently glazed. I decided to grab a dozen for my drive to work. They were so light and airy and just melted in my mouth. By the time I got to work, I realized two things: 1) I had no more left; and 2) I should have gotten two dozen since donut holes are zero calories. Right?!?!?

I would give five stars but they only accept cash . Other than that speedy service , and awesome doughnuts! They have gourmet doughnuts which I am absolutely in love with . You have to try there Nutella with banana creme delish .

All the rave about cronuts, I finally got my fiance to pick me up some. Thanks to all the reviews and pictures on yelp, I was able to tell him exactly what I wanted to try without having to be there. I just ate half of the original and the Nutella, it's definitely as good as it gets! Crispy and flaky with the nice cream and strawberry to cut into the sweetness is just divine. I can't wait to try the bacon cronut tomorrow. I rushed through my dinner to eat my dessert and I'm so satisfied, happy like a fat kid loves cake.

The very best part of this place is the holes. This place has amazing holes. Always fresh and so moist. I can never wait to get home, I always get dirty in the car with them. Best donut holes ever!!! Dirty Minds! TSK TSK BTW they also have cresnuts which are pretty bomb too = )

Upon moving to SoCal noticed there's a donut shop at every corner. Tried these guys out because I read about the cronut hype in the east coast and wanted to see wassap. Cronuts are smackn good, I'm serious. They got donut flavors like baskin robbins. I got nothing bad to say about this joint, the owners provide good service and look like hard working folks, I respect that. Best donuts I've had so far in SoCal.

I've finally tried the cronuts and all the rave about it. I didn't like it the first time I ordered it, but love it now. The blueberry donuts here is super soft and just right. Not too sweet. I've been here at least 4 times the last month and never disappoint. They get pretty busy weekend mornings but I also love their croissant sandwiches. Its a huge portion and always hot and fresh.

Amazingly delicious donuts!! From just standard donuts, to "gourmet" donuts (like cheesecake or caramel apple pie!)........they really all are something special. Easy place to pass by and not look like anything special. Don't make that mistake! Treat yourself and give some of these amazing donuts a try!!

I don't even know how to begin reviewing this place, they. are. wonderful. So, I had seen this place on yelp and had really wanted to try a cronut (never had one before until I came to this place). I live in Fullerton, which is about a good 25 minutes from this place, therefore a lot of thinking was made before finally deciding to drive so far just for a couple of donuts. Being on yelp, I read the reviews trying to make sure these donuts were really as amazing as the amount of stars on their profile. Finally, I noticed that you could order online and pay with paypal. This service was going to make my life easier - I could order a ton of donuts without looking foolish. So I ordered my donuts and it said to pick it up in the afternoon. I got there in the afternoon and the guy working there told me that my online order was actually for the next day afternoon. I was a bit disappointed - having driven so far, having paid for my donuts already and now I wasn't going to get them? It's not like I could order more because I would have to come back the next day to receive my previously ordered donuts. (and yes it was more than one so I wasn't about to order double the amount of the donuts I had previously wanted) HOWEVER, I don't know if this guy was the owner/manager/whatever and not sure how this donut shop is run, but this guy was exemplary. He said the online service was actually fairly new so it may not have said afternoon the next day (which it really didn't when i ordered. I'm a very cautious person - I would avoid looking like an idiot at great costs so I had triple checked to make sure it didn't say 'come the next day' so I had assumed I could order donuts and pick them up within the same day). So, he looked at my order and prepared all the donuts I had ordered immediately. He said he could get it together for me right then and there. Afterwards, he even personally came outside to give me the donuts and to apologize for the confusion. He explained which donut/cronut was which, what ingredients were in the donuts, and then gave me three free extra donuts for the hassle. Honestly, if I wasn't concerned about gaining weight, I would seriously come here more often. This was my first experience really buying a donut, and it was wonderful here. I had shared the donuts that I ordered with my friends too and everyone loved them - from their original cronut (which was basically strawberry ones) to red velvet donuts, maple bacon donuts, blueberry donuts - they were all superb. The quality is extremely wonderful - donuts are made fresh, usually prepared right when you order and each donut is like less than a dollar. This is most likely known by everyone already, but I need to mention it - they're open 24/7. How much more convenient can they get??

The best donuts ever... they taste great, the price is right.. they display their prices which is a big plus. The customer service is amazing. Neg: cash only Overall I love this place

This place is AMAZING! My boyfriend and I went for our first time a couple months ago, it is safe so say we are officially HOOKED. Their Nutella Cronut is so delicious! All of the donuts we've bought (too many to count) were ALWAYS fresh, no matter if we got it in the morning or late at night. The people there are so kind and helpful. I am so glad we found this place! I am so excited to try all of their amazing mouth watering donuts!

This has become my favorite donut shop in my neighborhood. Not only do they have a fantastic selection of donuts (including blueberry cake), they have a great selection of breakfast sandwiches served on either a croissant or bagel. I usually get the #5 - ham or turkey with bacon, egg, and your choice of Swiss or American cheese, for $3.95. The staff is friendly, attentive, and this looks like a happening meet up spot for regulars who come and have a coffee to start off their day. Parking is limited and its cash only but it's a solid winner in a sea of Krispy Kremes!

The donuts were really tasty and fresh. The service was great at the counter. Remember it's cash only.

This business has been around for over 20 years. It is family owned and they are super friendly. They have affordable prices and the quality is not skimped on. It is open 24hr but there is no wrong time to come grab a donut. They make their blended coffee drink and also fruit blended smoothies. Their "cronut" or how they call it here "cresnut" is non less than amazing and fresh tasting. In the last years they have really evolved since they first started. However they still hold on to their great customer service and family oriented ownership.

This place is awesome, great service and awesome donuts . Must trys are any of the Cronuts with added strawberries, the chocolate delights, strawberry shortcake and of course the maple bacon bar and maple bacon cronut with strawberries. Yummm!

I grew up on Dunkin Donuts, and while living on Cali I've never been able to find donut holes that can come close...but I must admit DKs are REALLY good!

Staying with my in-laws for the holiday and my BIL did a donut run for breakfast. Really didn't know what to tell him to get me, but when my SIL opted for a cinnamon roll I decided to go with that as well. Well, they were out of cinnamon rolls, but he brought back a cruller. It was delicious and disappeared quickly. I licked my fingers in delight at my not usual choice.

My ultimate favorite donut place in the world! Cronut donut holes, blueberry donuts, red velvet donuts are my favorite! The most fluffiest and delicious donuts... Always freshly made! Love the staff there as well!

We were visiting from the Bay Area and my cousin recommended us to try this place for the "cresnuts" - UHHHH MAZE ZIIIING!!!! My husband is not into sweets at all but is a fan of fritters. He tried the Blueberry Fritter - he was floored! He loved it! Thank you DK's for the awesome sweets! You have definitely made it on our "GOTTA GO TO" list!!!

Tasty donuts and cronuts. I especially liked the Oreo's cookie and cream bar. That was really good. The Pineda Colada was also another standout. If you want to make sure you get the premium donuts order online plus first order is 10% off.

Saw the reviews and decided to try it, this place is a lot better than the "famous" location in San Clemente! Adam and Lynn helped us and they were so nice and helpful. They suggested a couple donuts and all of them were amazing. My favorite is the blueberry donut (better than m&ms) and my girlfriends favorite was a tie between the creme brûlée cronut and the Nutella cronut. We also had the caramel apple pie, maple bacon, and coconut creme. All of them were delicious, you can't go wrong here. Unfortunately it is cash only, but it is absolutely worth it! Thanks dks!

first off let me say I had to make my parents wait for me to get home so I can go with them. & I am so glad I had them wait! this was our first time here. we got there right after they made a fresh batch of the bacon maple bars. & we just ordered whatever caught our eyes. I got the pb&j, original cronut, and of course a bacon maple. oh we went around dinner time too so I was hungry. so I ordered a bacon, cheese, & egg croissant sandwich. they didn't have the croissants at the time so I got it on a bagel. & I must say it was the BEST breakfast sandwich I've had ever. the bagel was perfect it wasn't hard at all & the sandwich was really big. definitely was a good dinner. & of course I'm coming back I have to bring my boyfriend !

This place is a gem. It's a bit of a drive for donuts, but we were on a mission to try some tasty goodness after reading all the Yelp reviews. The main reason for our visit, Cronuts! The guy behind the counter let us sample a few Cronut holes, which were very good. He mentioned that the Cronut holes are actually better than the full thing. We still ended up getting a Cronut each and half a dozen Cronut holes (we saved those for the next day). To me there is nothing better than a plain glazed donut, so we just went with the glazed. They were very good. The entire donut selection looked amazing, so we also grabbed two Tiger Tails for later. If you are in the area, or are in the mood for some late night donuts (open 24 hours) stop by. Just remember to bring cash, they are a cash only establishment!

  • Minh T.

I came here to buy cronuts and the only ones left were the vanilla glazed or something like that. I didn't know that it wouldn't have the custard in the middle. When I brought them home and bit into one, I was sadly disappointed. I guess it's my fault for not asking if the cronut would have filling or not, but I thought all cronuts by definition should have the custard running through them. It would've been nice if the person in the shop told me that it was just the dough part and no cream. Anyways, the donuts are overall very tasty. I'll be back and get a real cronut and update my review then.

one of the best donut shops ive ever been. the strawberry custard donut is a bomb here.. the custard is very creamy and the texture is just right. i just cant get enough of this. definitely a must try when you come here. they make it fresh upon request, which is a big plus. most of the basic donuts cost about 90 cent each, $1.35 for the more complex looking donuts like bearclaw or Cinnamon donut, $1.50 for my favorite custard strawberry donuts, and $3.50 for the cresnuts. very cheap and affordable. good bye krispy kreme! good service. they are very patient and helpful. cash only!

Looking for cronuts in all of Southern California and these Cresnut/Cronuts are my top 3. These Nutella Cresnuts are flakey and crispy and has the right amount of sweetness, which makes them heavenly. Def coming back!

Lived in Orange for 22 years and I've never been here?! That has probably saved me 5000000000 calories over the years, but I just ate 4 blueberry donuts in a sitting. Good selection of donuts...all very fresh, and good prices. Cash only. The DK's in Costa Mesa is nowhere near as good. I like their large array of sprinkled donuts as well, they put goodness into every type of donut they make. Blueberry and cresnuts. That is all.

  • Amy L.

Came here on new year's eve to try out the cronuts my friends were telling me about. Unfortunately they were out, but they gave us cronut holes to try out for free! They were so delicious that we ended up buying the holes and a dozen of their other donuts. I drove from the IE and I will continue to do so because I love this place! I honestly like their blueberry donuts better than m&m donuts too. Call me crazy by I'm coming here for all my donut cravings when I can. On top of this overwhelming awesomeness, their customer service is off the charts! They're so friendly!!

    (5)
  • S H.

Some of the best donuts I have ever had. Well worth the trip down and the whole family loves to get donuts from them. Great service, always friendly.

    (5)
  • Angela H.

Yes, they're getting buzz for their cresnuts aka the cronut, but honestly, they make some darn good old fashioned donuts. If they have them available, get the cresnut holes! They have a dozen special on regular donuts, can't remember the price, but I remember thinking, oh, not bad at all. If they were on the way to work, I definitely would pick up donuts from here! I have yet to try their snicker bar or maple bacon bar, but good thing I don't live too far right?

This place is family owned and I love supporting businesses like this one. The family is very generous, nice, and helpful! Theres just something about this place that makes you feel really appreciated as a customer. They are also open 24/7. I ordered half a dozen and it was sooooo cheapie! I had the red velvet, cookies and cream bar, blueberry, sprinkles, and chocolate. For the cookies and cream bar, you need to ask for the availability since they make it fresh to order. All the donut were fresh and moist, which made it stand out from all the donut places I've tried. I even saved some for a day or two later and they were still good! My favorite has got to be the cookies and cream bar. It wasn't too sweet nor too plain. I am definitely going to come back and try their Crestnuts one of these days.

    (5)
  • Monita S.

The gentlemen who helped me was very friendly. He gave me many free donuts! Totally made my day. Such a nice gesture. Had the Crestnut for the first time and it was delicious! I liked the fact that it's not too sweet. I wouldn't mind going back at all.

  • Vincent N.

Great tasting donuts! I still haven't tried their cronuts or donuts stuffed with strawberries :(, they always run out before 9-10pm. Even though they are open 24 hour they will stop making cronuts and most donuts after 10pm. This place is great, donuts and croissant sandwiches tasted fresh. I got the breakfast croissant sandwich (3.50$) it's okay not as big and tasty as M&ms but better than waiting an hour. They gave me two free donuts last time too! Nice workers, definitely will be back to try their cronuts!

  • Phil T.

Finally tried the cresnuts aka cronuts here. My chances of getting to new york to try the original ones pretty slim so this will have to do. I do have to say I liked them. Much lighter then a traditional donut. I thought the ones with the custard were better then the plain. A little heavy on the sugar for my taste but they are good nonetheless. I dont think these things will be going away soon. They are tasty and a nice change from a regular donut and a boring old croissant.

Omg!!! Amazing can't wait to go back again. I try the Nutella cronut it's super moist and delicious a must try.

CRESNUT CRONUT. it tastes heavenly. it's like biting into an angel who was dipped in sugar and then the sugar angel melted into your stomach and gave your intestines a high five. The guy gave me a free glazed donut, yay.

Best breakfast sandwiches, and donuts around town. Not to mention they are open 24 hours, how awesome is that? I recommend the #3... Croissant with egg, cheese, and bacon ! I also recommend a chocolate bar with whipped cream... Seriously one of the best things you'll eat in your whole life !!

  • Phyu A.

Hidden gem! I'm so glad there's one down here in orange county so I don't have to drive ALL the way to Santa Monica to get cronuts. The owners are incredibly friendly. Coming back for more!

Pros/ open 24 hours, easy parking Cons/ a little shady at night, but didn't feel very unsafe. We came for the "cronuts" but left liking the donuts. We walked up and asked about cronuts. They keep them out of the window and will dress them with toppings to order. We got the custard and the strawberry Cronut. Perhaps these were not a good sample of cronuts, but I didn't fall in love with them. Yes, they were flaky and buttery, but I didn't find them dessert like I.e. Sweet enough. However, we ordered six other donuts and I loved the chocolate glazed old fashioned and the red velvet. Crunchy, sweet, glazed and definitely winners! I would return.

  • Cory A.

Lovely place, lovely service, and most of all lovely doughnuts. We got a bit of everything the red velvet cake doughnut, also the blueberry cake, snickers, the Oreo eclair thing (I forgot what the name was) was awesome! Cresnuts were tremendous! The original cresnuts is the one we had, great all around. It's flakey, light, not dense like other places, custard and strawberries are fresh. They did their thing on the cresnuts. Take the time to go here. Just do it!

Had the Nutella strawberry wild and split with boyfriend. Pretty good, will def come back to try out the snickers bar!

I came to DK's donuts after an Anaheim Angels game. The guy helping us explained the donuts & what's popular. I had my heart set on the CRESNUTS aka Cronuts. I see what the hype is around them! DK's Cresnuts were AMAZING! We bought a dozen for us and or friends and he gave us a discount. He even threw in 2 blueberry & red velvet donuts in the box too! I'm glad I finally got to try this place after bookmarking it on yelp a month ago. The blueberry donuts are in my opinion compete with M&M donuts. But I'm definitely coming back here for their Original Strawberry Cresnuts when I'm in the OC because they are delicious & the service was great! Oh it is CASH only too.

After seeing all the positive reviews on Yelp and them being listed on AmazonFresh for delivery I decided to take a drive out there and give them a try. I ended up going at 7am on a Saturday and there was no line. It is a small location that surprises you with its great donuts. The strawberry shortcake is a must try. It wasn't on display so I asked for it and they made it up fresh. Delicious!

Seriously the most amazing donuts ever!!!! I would drive from my old house in Fullerton and now I'm so happy I'm just a little closer. Definitely a 5 star donut spot

They have great, diverse favors. The seasonal pumpkin spice donut taste just like a cross between a pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin bread.

  • K. L.

We came here and got the original cronut with strawberry. Cost us $3.45, which I think is a bit expensive. The size is the same as a regular donut. It was fresh and crispy, which i like! The taste reminds me of a churro with strawberry.

I forgot the name of the guy who is always there working the front (Adam/Alex) I know it starts with a A, he is super sweet and nice and always happy from the 2x we've been there. Donuts were excellent but he made our visit even better. He explained and answered all our questions, gave us 2 free donuts and brewed me a fresh pot of coffee how awesome : ) I like him lol

Family-owned donut shop. They were really sweet people and greeted me right when I stepped in front of the window. Helpful and just really nice. It was a small plaza, but parking was a breeze when I came in around 1pm for my donut fix.

Been dying to try their cronuts and so glad I finally did! Came on a Sunday morning and was disheartened when I only saw glazed cronuts in the display case. But, when we asked the worker they had a few other flavors in the back. All in all we tried 5 of their specialty donuts: Original cronut (with custard and strawberries) Nutella cronut Glazed cronut Chocolate delight (chocolate donut with strawberries and custard) Strawberry shortcake They were all delicious but I was surprised that my favorite ended up being the glazed cronut. Love how it really displayed the croissant qualities of the cronut: super flakey, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The glaze complimented the croissant without overpowering it. Also loved the custard they use: very tasty and not overly sweet. Service was patient and friendly. Will definitely come back the next time my BF is willing to drive me! :)

You say cronuts; I say crestnuts. BEST CRESTNUTS EVER! Drooling just thinking about the always fresh, always delish, never fail to make your mouth happy Crestnuts that they serve. My fiancé never knew about these things before I brought him here and he only calls these things "crestnuts" b/c he doesn't know better. cute. They also cater for weddings and special events with mini ones too. So check them out!

Tried the stawberries filled donut for the first time yesterday and it was delish, if you're a fan of strawberries you will love it. My fav are the blueberries donuts, wayyyyy better than m&m donuts just the 411 for you locals. If you ever herd of it. Don't waste your time and the long line come to dks instead! Dks has the Freshest and best donuts we ever tried. Will def be back!

Located on the East side of Chapman off the 55 freeway. Past the Hospital, Longfin Fishing Tackle near Del Taco. Finally got to try out this spot. Chatter about the Cresnuts/ Cronuts/ Doissants/ Croissant Donuts has brought me to Orange at 9:00pm at night. Ended up near Yorba Linda and Santiago College. And I had nothing better to do while waiting for wifey so of course Cronuts popped into my mind cause sure Orange/ near my work was close by. Right? No. Not really...... I blame lack of sugar. But Adam was very helpful and explained all my options, so after being still confused, asked for one of each plus add 2 Velvet Chocolate Donuts. He is so helpful and always has a smile on his face. I was not disappointed. Wow the Nutella was not overwhelmingly sweet like I expected. Very good balance with the dough. Great texture. Donut flavor with the flakiness of Croissants. The custard filling was not overly sweet as well.

  • Jessie L.

My inner fat child squeals with joy when I think of this Donut Shop. Their banana cream nutella donut is so far the best banana flavored donut I have ever had. I would also rate their old fashion donuts as one of the best I have tried (besides the old fashions at HEB in Texas...) I have been to donut stores that have a wider variety of donuts, but none can compare to the quality of these donuts (i haven't been disappointed yet). This place is also open 24/7 and not to mention next door to a 24/7 breakfast serving del taco. Uh-Mazing. Only down fall is cash-only at the window. No worries, there are plenty of ATM's off of Chapman!

I went here one day with my friends cause one of them found out about this place through Instagram. And damn those pictures look pretty damn good Food: coming here I expected a regular donut shop and to my surprise it was. But that's not that I base this pace on. It is the food that makes it count. So I came here and ordered one of their well known donuts which is a chocolate or maple bar that is cut in half and filled with your choice of either whipped cream or custard and then it is topped off with a bountiful amount of Oreo bits. I myself got the chocolate bar with custard filling. And it surpassed my expectation a lot. It was delicious. Not one thing on the donut or the donut itself overpowered the other. Everything was just right. I also got their own cronut creation. They have two difference choices. One is a custard filling and the other is a Nutella filling. And both of those did not disappoint. Each are decorated very well. It's a simple cronut that is cut in half then filled with your choice of filling. And every cronut is filled with slices of strawberry and topped with one very adorable slice of strawberry. So far nothing has disappointed me Location: I would like to say that the location is not that bad. It's an outdoor establishment meaning that you walk up to the window and order then you have. A choice of either sitting at the tables or eating in your car. Parking here is a tad bit small. everytime that i went i have yet to see it be filled. but like i said its a tad bit small so once its filled you gotta park on the other side :D Service: the service here is exceptional. Super friendly. Answers all questions asked. They leave you on a really good note. *like every donut shop they have food there too ranging from croissants to smoothies/coffee. I didn't get to try it but it looked pretty good

product of cresnuts hype. Pretty damn good and open 24/7 but they get sold out ASAP after they're available. Cheaper than the donuttery and friendlier.

  • Kay D.

This donut shop is a little different than the norm, existing as a weird street-side hut. You order from a window, with no inside seating. There are benches and tables around if you want to stay, but most of the patrons were getting donuts to go. The donuts are good. Standard donuts, good when fresh, light and fluffy. The glazed donut was delish. The breakfast sandwiches...not so good. I had a sausage and egg croissant sandwich, and everything inside was rubbery...egg and sausage alike. It was sad, bland, and tasted like someone had microwave-cooked the egg and the sausage. I would not recommend this, at all. However, for donuts, this place gets the job done!

  • Eric S.

This review is for DK Donuts as a buisness and not for the taste or quality of their donuts as I didn't even get a chance to taste as they CASH ONLY ! What a disappointment ! But really why would a buisness not accept cards ? Avoid taxes maybe idk but not cool !

    (1)
  • Anna N.

Why DKs WHY do you continue to disappoint me? First you tell me at 7:05pm that the creme brûlée cresnut you advertised as being on sale at 7:00pm is sold out unless you had reserved them. That doesn't seem fair bus I accepted it so when you advertised the sriracha donut I called to reserve and was promised they'd be there between 8-10pm for pickup. I arrived at 9:30pm to be told because I didn't show up at 3pm that they were given away. But I called at 4pm, how does that happen? I'm in an abusive relationship. And all she could say was that she was sorry.

Came here on a Tuesday night around 8. There were no customers except us. The racks were kind of empty probably cuz it was so late at night. The cashier looked kind of mean, but after talking to her she was really nice! She even honored our check in coupon for one free donut even though it was after the coupon was valid. Although the cronuts didn't look very fresh they still tasted delicious. We ordered one Nutella, strawberry, original and glazed cronuts. I also ordered a ham, egg, and cheese croissant and it was delicious as well. I like that this place is 24 hours so I can come here when my sweet tooth is aching late at night.

why you so good to me dk's?! my lovely counterpart indulged in my midnight craving (literally! i'm not proud of it) and we ventured to this 24 hour donut shop. we bough half a dozen for 4.75 and went to town! cronut - yummo red velvet - not a huge normally but it was great blueberry - best i've had so far raspberry jelly filled glazed - basic, cant go wrong basic glazed chocolate bar i think we got a good selection and all were delicious! the price was super reasonable. they charge an extra fifty cents for premium donuts but they didnt charge us that night! as our dear former governor once said "i'll be back!"

These are the friendliest people who truly care about their customer's donut cravings. They create new and awesome donut flavors based on what we the people want. I love it here. This is the spot to hang out at 2 in the morning when the fresh batches of donuts start to go on display. My friends and I hang out at DK's playing UNO in the wee hours of the night waiting for new donuts, and when we aren't hanging out at DK's we will go their as our final stop before going to our respective homes. Just the other day I showed up after being gone for a few months, and they recognized me by name... it really shows how much they care about their customers. Love, love, love....love. DK's is as good as it gets!

Owners are very friendly. They only take cash but they are very polite about that letting you know where the nearest ATM is. The doughnuts are the best part the rest of the menu but make sure you get something to wash down those doughnuts. get TIGERTAILS delish

Great service. Truly family owned. Been a patron of this DK's since high school (1998) and the quality has only improved. The classic donuts are always on point, but I recommend trying some of the specialty donuts, like the Red Velvet or the Seasonal Pumpkin. The owner is young and is always experimenting with delicious results. Also, if you are not in the mood for a donut, try the stuffed croissant or any of the breakfast sandwiches. My signature move is the #5 with Ham and Swiss. If you eat this and don't like it, something is wrong with the way you're built.

Wow! What can I say that hasn't been said already about this place. My first time to this location but I can see myself coming here from now on for donuts and cresnuts. My girlfriend and I often pick donuts up late night when we have the munchies so this place fits perfect for our needs. Beautiful and delicious donuts! I highly recommend this place.

  • Bree B.

After seeing tons of delicious looking donuts on Instagram from this DKs I just had to try it for myself. They did not disappoint! I ordered a variety of different flavor a and types of donuts/cronuts to take to work, we all loved every one we tried. The donuts were all extremely fresh, the wait was not long at all, the only hang up is it is cash only, so be prepared.

    (5)
  • Raymond L.

Well I can only give it 4 stars because I didn't have the Cronut/Creanuts? I forgot the other word D: Got myself Nutella with banana donut and PB. I loved the frosting type inside the banana donut. Banana frosting? Making sure the donut won't be dry, even if it is, you still have the wet liquid to supplement that in there. Peanut butter- the whipped cream in the middle killed it for me. Red velvet (FREE with check in) was dry and way too sweet. Not a fan. I will need to come back for their cronuts. They ran out of Smores. Nooooo. I hear you can call in and place orders though, so maybe one day I'll do that. if I want to eat 2 baker's dozens of donuts, of course :3 Cash only. Close to Spatel, if you want to hit two birds with one stone like I did.

After reading so many positive reviews I thought I'd try this place since its on my way to work. I have to say their donuts and cronuts are the best I've had so far since moving to SoCal. I've heard of this infamous 2hr wait for blueberry donuts at a nearby donut shop but haven't tried that yet. So for now DK's is my choice

My friend really wanted to try out DK's since we were in the area. I'm a big fan of donuts, so you don't have to twist my arm. The presentation of the donuts on each donut is excellent. Each one is as beautiful as the other. My wife really enjoyed the crestnut (AKA cronut). The custard center is really great. As for the taste, they are all above average. If I was in the mood and in the area, I would hit up DK's again.

After reading so many good reviews, I was actually quite disappointed by their specialty donuts. The more common ones I tried were the blueberry and red velvet, which were both good, and of the more interesting flavored donuts, I tried the Samoa, apple pie, matcha green tea, and snickers. Apple pie was okay, but extremely messy and sticky! I had a hard time eating that one. I liked the Samoa and snickers, but the Samoa didn't quite taste like a Samoa. Yummy, but it didn't live up to its name. The biggest disappointment for me was the matcha green tea donut :( I didn't taste an ounce of the matcha green tea. Pretty much tasted like a regular donut. Such a shame. California Donuts' green tea donut is so much better! Perhaps I will go back again one day to try other donuts, like the cronut. But for now.. Not a go-to place for donuts. Oh, don't forget: cash only and check into yelp for a free red velvet!

I came across DK's Donuts of Orange because I needed to order some donuts for my sister's baby shower. I was in contact with Adam and he was so helpful! It's hard to get in touch with a business owner let alone an owner who will take time out of their busy schedule to answer questions. He emailed me a list of the donuts they offer and the pricing. I called him to talk about some other donuts that were not on the list and he gave an explanation of what the donuts I were interested in were and how much they would cost. I sent him an email of all the donuts I wanted and he sent me an invoice via paypal. I came by on Saturday to pick up my 3 dozen donuts and the parking lot was packed and there were so many people waiting to order donuts or pick up their donuts. I waited in line and I told the lady who was at the window my name and Adam came to the window with my 3 dozen donuts. He explained to me that the ones with custard should be in a cool area and gave me my red velvet check in donut as well as some donut holes :D Once I arrived to my sister's house she devoured a couple donuts before her baby shower and raved how good it was. Throughout the baby shower I had a piece of most of the donuts and they were ALL AMAZING! I'm not huge on sweets, but these donuts were F&#*@^G AMAZING!!! I would highly recommend anyone who loves donuts to check out DK's. Also they are reasonably priced...I looked around and DK's looked the best and the price was the best.

Free red velvet donut with Yelp checkin! It's actually pretty good, normally trying to stretch red velvet to other areas outside of cupcakes can be a miss, but this didn't disappoint. I tried a cronut for the first time. Got it with the strawberries and cream topping. I like it, it's different, flaky, crunchy, moist. It's worth a try. There is a variety of other donuts to try here and the staff is really friendly in helping you choose. I also went HAM and got a breakfast sandwich. This was pretty awesome. They give you 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, so this breakfast sandwich is loaded. I was really surprised and happy with that. I definitely went overboard with what I ordered but I'm glad I tried. It's just a little shack with limited outdoor seating. Simple enough stand, pick and choose and enjoy your breakfast.

Had high hopes for this place .... :( You're talking about disappointing a girl who is addicted to sweets and WILL instagram everything she eats!! Found this place on IG and Yelp and of course all the beautiful pictures of donuts made me want to come here! Came here around 8PM trying to pick up some donuts, however when I made the drive out there, only plain donuts were left. I was hoping maybe at least their glazed donuts would be good, but nope, they were stale. I know I probably will have to come during the day for better/fresher donuts ... but please, if you are going to advertise yourself as 24/7 as well as flash a big Instagram sign on your storefront, please stock up on donuts and make sure they are fresh!!

This particular DK's doesn't have the same variety of donuts as the Santa Monica does but it still has A LOT more than Friendly donuts down the street! I've never seen such a variety of CRESNUTS AKA CRONUTS! That must be their specialty at this DK's. I enjoyed the berry crumble and Oreo cresnut. I always get the OG blueberry and red velvet cake donuts....it did not disappoint! I also LOVE their peanut butter and jelly and Tiger's tail! It had that slight crispyness on the outside and wasn't too soft and doughy! Keep it up DK's! This place is also cash only and you have to sit outside. I didn't like sitting outside in the cold late at night but the DONUTS are what matters though. I think I'd choose this over Friendly donuts if I'm in the area

I came here for the cronuts... and it was a success! What a great and fast little donut shop in Orange. You basically come in... look at the window and order your favorite. Don't forget to check in on Yelp, to get a free red velvet donut!! I got the regular cronut with strawberries, filled with custard.. and it was delicious. My fiancé got the churro cronut and the whipped cream was cinnamon-y and light. Both were not too sweet... but they were MESSY! Bring tons of napkins. The other donuts we were go were the apple pie filled donut and the red velvet. Both were a-okay, but I highly suggest the cronut... they do it right :).

I had to bring in four dozen donuts to work for an event. I visited DK Donuts website to get an idea of what they had since I had never been there. I called and placed an order that night at 10 pm to pick up the next morning at 6:15 am. The girl on the phone was very pleasant. When I went the next morning there were not many people in line, only three ahead of me. There's two Windows to serve people. My order was waiting for me already in boxes. It was exactly what I ordered. I also picked something up for me for breakfast. I got the number 2, which is a croissant sandwich with ham and cheese. It was a very decent size (much larger than the ones you get at Jack in the box). It was nice and warm. The croissant was lightly salted. The sandwich had mayo and cracked pepper. Very tasty. Fast forward to work, everyone loved the donuts! I ended up getting the bakers dozen, classic dozen, and the office hero dozen. Based off my experience, I'll be going back.

Donuts!!! Hyped to try this spot after watching JK films paid them a visit. It was less amazing than I thought but then again it's just donuts! Only thing that matters is: 1. Must be fresh - check 2. Must be pretty for the IG - check 3. Accept Card because pockets empty - NOPE! *** Bring CASH people! I liked how they stayed fresh even two days after I bought them home and if i lived in LA area would come back. Tourist must try!

There are so many DK donuts all over LA and OC and each one is different and most of them are crazy good and worth trying. This location is open 24/7, cash only, walk up window, no seating. It can get crazy full, so prepare to wait or come at off times. Selection is endless and I LOVE how they fill the donuts to order if they are not already filled, you can chose what kind of filling you want and in a flash you have a box of customized donuts in your hand, ready to start the day. Original glazed cronut, excellent, perfect, peanut butter and jelly donut, oh yeah, if you love pb&j this is a must, nutella banana and oreo vanilla creme filled, again just as good as they sound and look. Prices are fair, service is great, one of my favorite places to grab donuts!

This place makes incredibly tasty donuts and coffee. The have all the usual offerings as well as some local favorites like bear claws, glazed old fashioned, and glazed buttermilk cake donuts. My only criticism is they did not have maple bars. Not sure if they were just out or they dont make them at all. Every donut shop in SOCA has maple bars people. Get with it. Love your donuts!

**CASH ONLY** One thing that the West Coast has over the East Coast is the abundance of donut shops that sell cronuts. Waiting in line at 6AM to get one of the first 300 cronuts? No thanks! Open 24 hours, we stopped by in the morning before we flew back home. I purchased 2 of each cronut available (nutella, apple pie, and strawberry) that day. You can even get them filled! The total was $12, which was reasonable for gourmet donuts. Their regular donuts are also only 90 cents! The donuts still tasted fresh the next day after my 5 hour plane ride back home!

I'm updating this review because since my last visit I've tried a few outstanding doughnuts. I have 3 new favorites which are packed with flavor! Blueberry crumb, berry crumb (I think that's what it's called? Red Doughnut with red and purple crumbs) and the blueberry cake doughnut. I already loved the blueberry crumb because it appeared to be packed with a good amount of flavor and moisture. I tried the berry crumb doughnut next which is my new favorite and tastes like captain crunch berries! Last but not least I tried the blueberry cake flavor which was awesome! Not too sweet, not dry at all and the glaze is pretty mellow. It seems their fruit flavored doughnuts appear to have the most flavor thus far. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I think the other doughnuts still leave a little to be desired. They're still great doughnuts, just nothing amazing like the fruit flavored ones which also seem to be a bit less dry than the others. I'll definitely keep coming back for more :)

The Nutella cronuts are unreal. Simply perfect. The other donuts are good too. You can get original flavored or more creative options - they have it all. Bonus: they're open 24/7. Cons: slow employees that are easily confused by your simple order & cash only.

I was so excited to find this place near my brother's place, my hubs and I decided to get a dozen donut/cresnut (cronut) mix. This is more of a donut stand, rather than shop and on the main street (Chapman) about a mile and a half from the freeway. I had never had a cronut before and was soon excited to try it out but only was able to barely eat one. I probably should've gone for the strawberry cresnut but opted to eat the nutella cresnut. The cronut itself tasted more like a croissant, shaped as a donut but regardless tasted pretty good. My only complaint was how sweet it was. If they used half of the amount, it probably would've been better, but my tooth was hurting and tummy upset. I love sweets and eat it from time to time, but it may not have been the best at 9 am. My hubs got the apple pie donut, which was fantastic. The filling and dough ration was equal and the filling wasn't overly sweet. He also ate the bacon eclair donut, which was way too sweet for me but he said the bacon's saltiness balanced out the sweet maple icing. We also got a large coffee to-go for $1.95, which tasted horrible, but eh I guess they aren't known for the coffee. The donuts are priced depending on what type you get. We got a mix of regular donuts and cresnuts, which came out to a little over $21 (which included the coffee). If we come back here, I'm definitely going for a less sweet donut and possibly have it as a dessert and not first thing in the morning.

The only doughnuts I will drive out of my way for! No need for a lengthy review. Here's what you need to know: Delicious "craft" donuts. Do craft doughnuts exist? They do now. I'm talking about Oreo Cookie or Bacon Sriracha. DK's also serves standard doughnuts like maple bars, bear claws, etc. You can't go wrong. Excellent prices. Most doughnuts range from $0.75-$2.00 depending on the type, size, etc. Why overpay for something that should be cheap (I'm looking at you, Sidecar Donuts)? Open 24/7. Perfect for those 2:00 AM trips with friends. Cash only. You've been warned. Friendly service. Just don't be a prick. YELP Check-In Special: Free Red Velvet doughnut with the purchase of any other doughnut.

An friend told me about "cronuts", which is a mix between a donuts and a croissant, and I really wanted to try !! I tried the original cronuts (which is just glazed) and I really LOVED it !! Really. It was so good. I think that every French tourist should try a cronuts for his/her journey in California ! Really I recommend it. There are Many flavours available (nutella, strawberry, glazed). We dont have them in France , and we miss something! I want to eat one again!

Ehhhh...they were mediocre tbh I think aesthetically they're cool and would be cool to take a dozen or so to ppl just to get an "ahhh those look awesome" flavor wise, they're mediocre. Maybe they're better fresh But I wouldn't go out of my way to get them. On the upside. Free red velvet up in check in is a plus lol

**CASH only** Be prepared because there's no ATM nearby. 5 stars for awesome donuts and cronuts. DK's is one place for which I'd wake up extra early! Come get your cronut here (they call it cresnut). They have original, vanilla, strawberry, and nutella - all less than $5 each. Depending on the day and time, they will have other special ones like green tea. I've been on several different days to try their cronuts, and I have not been disappointed yet! The cronut is crispy yet fluffy. You also have the option of adding fresh strawberry slices inside for additional (50 cents, I think). They offer other good donuts, including oreo, red velvet, eclairs, etc. Checking in on Yelp scores you a free red velvet donut. Another reason why this place is great for breakfast on the go - they have breakfast sandwiches (choose what you want inside bagel, croissant, or English muffin) that range $3.75 - $5 AND brewed coffee for really reasonable prices. They make the sandwiches fresh, so they give you a buzzer. Wait time is not bad. The only catch with this location is that it's off of the really busy E Chapman Ave, and the parking lot gets tight. It's like a one way U-ey, and if you can't find parking, it's tough to get out, on the street, and back inside. You can locate it by the red circular Orange Blossom sign in the plaza. Huge plus: all the servers are so friendly! They are definitely morning people!!

THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT'S SO AWESOME!! First off, it's open 24/7, but when i came around 11pm last night, I noticed that they had a lot of empty trays, probably because they have a larger selection in the earlier part of the day. It's not a store that you walk in to, it's more of like a stand, and you order when you get up to the window. One thing I liked is that they had the prices right there for you so you didn't have to waste time asking for prices and whatnot. Their traditional donuts are 90cents, ONLY 90 CENTS! and a half dozen with their traditional donuts is around $4.95 i think. What donuts count as traditional? It says it right on the tab of the donut. CLEVER!!! If you want to add a cronut or specialty donut to that half dozen or dozen, they charge a little extra for each one (less than $1). AND it's half a dozen gourmet donuts for $12, and you'd usually be paying near $20, if not over, at other places. We got half a dozen (two cronuts included) for $9 something. We also got a free Red Velvet with a yelp check-in. Had to try the original cresnut because it was popular on yelp, and it definitely didn't disappoint!! I loved the texture of the flaky outside and the doughy middle. It was delicious. We also got a green tea, Samoa, Nutella Cronut, Blueberry cake (better than M&M's!!), and almond crunch. My favorite was the original cresnut, a cronut topped with sugar, but it was delicious. I also liked the blueberry cake donut, which is way better than M&M's because it was actually moist without having to be super fresh. You can definitely taste the green tea in the Matcha Green Tea donut, but it was super doughy on the inside. It's sort of in a complex so there's lots of parking, and there was a small line when we went, so you know that this place is gaining momentum. Definitely coming back!

This place was bookmarked for a while, but I finally made the effort to visit after my friend highly recommended this place for the cronuts (or, cresnuts as they call it). I've had (way too) many donuts from this place: red velvet, oreo cresnut, churro cresnut, original cresnut, glazed cresnut, samoa, oreo eclair, nutella banana filled donut, blueberry donut, old fashioned glazed, and apple pie filled donut. This was over a span of 2 visits + 2 people (don't ask about my questionable life decisions). ANYWAY, DK's has a selection of exceptional donuts, and some very underwhelming ones (and of course, some in between). GOOD: - Red velvet: I usually shy away from red velvet donuts because they're too dense and heavy (i.e. slathered with cream cheese on top). However, DK's is fantastic. The breading is pretty light and moist, with a delectably sweet, white glaze on top. Was pleasantly surprised. Plus, you get one free with a check-in, so why not! - Churro cresnut: I'm typically not very fond of sugared donuts, but this was really great. The donut itself was light and flakey, and the combination of the whipped cream and the sugar really gave it a good flavor. - Glazed cresnut: Entire thing is glazed. A lot less oily and lighter than other cronuts I've had (and I've tried them at 4 other locations). I think next time, I'll pay extra to do the strawberry filling. - Blueberry donut: Delightfully light and flavorful. - Old fashioned glaze: This is my go-to donut, and they didn't mess it up. Very moist, with good glaze:breading ratio. OK: - Oreo cresnut: Wasn't as good as the name makes it out to be, but it was still solid. The majority of the cresnut is not glazed, which is rather boring. However, the top half has a generous amount of glaze and is sprinkled with oreo crumbs. I ended up just eating the top half, and enjoyed that. - Nutella banana filled donut: Pretty good! I wish they spread out the filling a little more evenly as it took a couple bites to reach it. I liked how it wasn't overly sweet and the custard was nice and fluffy. - Apple pie filled donut: This one is filled with little apple bits in the center and is topped with some streudel-esque (?) bits. Worth a try! MEH: - Samoa: Take my favorite girl scout cookie, combine it with one of my favorite desserts of all time (DONUTS!) and you get..... not a very good donut. Got this because ... well, how could you not try it. AND the employees were really recommending it. But it was so disappointing. The bottom half of the donut is dipped in chocolate, and the top half is glazed with chocolate flakes and some chocolate drizzle. Looks nice, but tastes nothing like a samoa. Lame. - Oreo eclair: Avoid. This is basically a chocolate bar cut in half vertically, filled with whipped cream, and sprinkled with Oreo bits. Doesn't taste much like an Oreo, even though it looked delicious. That was probably way too thorough for a review for a donut store. Overall, worth a visit. Recommend coming with more people so you can try out a bunch of them.

We ALWAYS come here for the breakfast sandwiches. Every variety is good. They are a bit heavy on the pepper so you can ask for no pepper. They add mayo so if you don't like mayo you can request without. They toast the bagels perfectly and their croissants are ugh and buttery. Our other favorite thing is the blueberry donut. We prefer it plain over glazed but you have to special order it plain. They're coffee is standard. Nothing great. Just good enough to help wash down your food.

Soft and chewy donuts, sweet and friendly staff, and reasonable prices? Check and check and check. Had the Somoa donut and it tasted just like the Girl Scout Cookie! Amazing. Bit far from me and the hubster to frequent on a regular basis, but we'll go for a dessert-date night. :)

I purchased six cresnuts a couple nights ago for dessert for a family dinner and they were a hit! Everyone loved them and thought they were delicious. I made sure to try both flavors (nutella and cinnamon sugar) with fresh cut strawberries! They were both incredibly delicious. Oh and the best part is...the cresnuts are baked in small batches in order to insure freshness!! Yum, my mouth is actually watering just thinking about them!

We went here specifically for cronuts! I ordered a glaze plain cronuts and my friends ordered the maple bacon cronuts. We all really loved them. They only allow cash at this shop and it only has outdoor seating from what I saw. I would definitely recommend it to you!

Definitely should try the cronuts! Original with strawberries. I give them 3 stars because for being so hyped up they should have fresh product! You can tell it was sitting there for a while. Still the best ones I've tried so far but they can do better.

Had a craving for donuts for days. So I dragged my husband and daughter to this DK. Got a free glazed donut for checking in on Yelp. Yay for free! Husband wanted to try the snicker donut and the nutella banana creme. He said the snicker and nutella banana creme were both ok, but it satisfied for the time being. My daughter picked the pink strawberry sprinkles only because she likes pink. Really like those and want to go back to get more. Lol... We ordered the blueberry glazed donut that was good. Wished it was a little more crispier, but good none the less. I had to try the sriracha bacon donut from all the reviews.. It was very interesting thing, but good. Husband wasn't a fan of it thou. The chocolate delight with the custard and strawberries is probably the best out of the bunch. The lady who was helping us was very nice and friendly while we scanned the display of choices. Will have to come back another time to try some of the other different donuts they have on display. Until we meet again DK's Donuts which is probably soon.

I came here to try the cronut and was disappointed. It's exactly as described--a cross between a donut and a croissant. It was OK. It had good texture, but the taste of the oil was not very appetizing. I also tried the strawberry shortcake donut. It was basically a donut split in half with whip cream and a couple of strawberries. This strawberry donut does not compare at all to the one from the Donut Man in Glendora. I like my donuts light and fluffy, here it seems that a majority of their donuts are quite dense. I think I'll be trying other donut places in the area.

Oh god, these donuts are delicious. This is my FAVORITE donut shop ever, and I absolutely love it. When the donuts are fresh, every bite has a fluffy texture that melts into my mouth, with a burst of flavor from the glaze or chocolate or WHATEVER IT IS. Their wide selection of donuts always keeps me on my toes, wanting to try more and more. Yes, its slightly more expensive that other donut shops but I would say its well worth it. The donuts are absolutely. positively. amazing. I came here once with my boyfriend, only planning to get 2 donuts, but they gave us one extra and a few donut holes for free! Its great. I would definitely recommend coming here.

  • Hey J.

A quaint family owned (for over 25 years according to the label on the box) this donut place is a landmark in Orange County. I tried the cronuts (original and Nutella) and having had the ones from the famous Dominique Ansel bakery I'd say these are a comparable west coast version and without the lines! The outside was nice and flakey, and the inside not to sweet. I also appreciated the presentation. I'll def. be coming back!

AMAZING DONUTS! I discovered this place through seeing pictures posted on Instagram so I started following them. I'm so glad I did, because over the next several weeks of seeing them post amazing pictures of their cronut (cresnut) and chocolate and strawberry delights, I knew I had to come try it. So my boyfriend and I made it a point to come and made the six hour trip from Arizona to try this place out. We definitely weren't disappointed and so glad we decided to stop by! We're definitely planning on stopping by again next time we're out in California. Trust me, this place is definitely worth a try! :)

DK's Donuts have been and will always be one of my favorite donut shops. I don't even live in Orange anymore but I still go out of my way to come get some of their delicious treats. The strawberry filled custard donuts have become my favorite. They're perfect. So tasty and fresh and not unbelievably sweet. Pairs great with a small container of milk. The glazed donuts and their hot chocolate always have a special place in my heart though. I always used to come late at night after a night out with friends. It became our ritual. The staff at DK's are always so friendly - something you can really count on. Trust me, give 'em a try! You won't regret it :)

Super tastey donuts and these aren't your average creations. Used the check-in offer with ease. Great customer service. Breakfast, snack, or dessert; any occassion. Brought some of the specialty donuts home and savored them. Delicious and thanks.

We went here for the first time, we've passed by it many times and I'd been meaning to go for a while now! We ordered the english muffin w/sausage and one w/bacon, it was yummy they offer swiss/american cheese. We also got a free donut which was the red velvet and blueberry. The donuts were good and the muffin was nice not ttoo greasy and warm. The guy who worked this morning was friendly nice and helpful. He seems to keep the customers happy and he is very friendly. I would recommend this place for someone looking to fulfill their donut craving and it is open 24hrs, just fyi remember to bring your cash since no cards are accepted!

It takes 54.8 miles for me to drive to and from this place but it's worth it! My 4 year old son has this obsession with donuts and he literally wanted to stop by every donut shop to see who had the best donut holes. So that's exactly what we did this summer. I came across DK's one day on yelp and once I saw that strawberry donut I made plans to drive out here with my son. We went for the first time this past Monday and it was about 7pm and I didn't see any strawberry donuts but I had a feeling I wasn't going to get any unless I was there during the morning hours. So we got our dozen donut holes, 2 chocolate bars, 1 red velvet, and 1 oreo bar. Every single one tasted like heaven. Our donut loving hearts had found the perfect donut shop! We went in again today with my brother at about 9:30pm and decided to get a mixed dozen, dozen donut holes, and a hot chocolate. It's .75 cents more for each premium donut like the oreo and the snicker (which I haven't tried yet). Again, I didn't see strawberry donuts so I didn't bother thinking twice about it. UNTIL!! After sitting down and finishing my chocolate bar a young lady goes up and asks if they have any strawberry donuts and the lady told her YES! I waited to see if she was going to bring out the same donut I was thinking of.............waiting....... THEN there it was! The chocolate strawberry donut! The girl bought two and by the time I told my brother to get in line again another girl was waiting. So the second girl sees the donuts the first girl got and asked for 4 of them. She got them and left. When it was our turn the lady told us they were out of chocolate ones and only had glaze!!!! I was so bummed!!! Considering it was my second time driving out here in the past 3 days (almost 110 miles) I wasn't going to leave without any strawberry donut so I got two glaze strawberry:( POINT IS! If you want to try the strawberry donut ask them if they have any even if you don't see them out because they could be in the process of making them. Trust me you'll feel as silly and depressed as I currently do if you make the same mistake.

My first cronut experience and I was impressed even before I got a taste! Let me start by saying that the customer service here is the bomb. Employees know how to tug at their customers heart strings. We were on a slight budget because we weren't prepared for a cash only spot but they hooked it up anyway with strawberries and threw in an extra red velvet donut for us. Oh, and the cronuts are definitely not too shabby. Highly recommended. Just remember to bring your cash!

The cresnuts (Cronuts) definitely lived up to all the hype here. I tried all flavors and the Nutella cresnuts are my favorite. You will be amazed !! The employees are super friendly too.

I don't eat donuts a lot, but when I do, I love DK donuts! Strawberry shortcake was delish. The strawberries were a nice touch because it balanced out the sweetness of the glaze. I also tried the blueberry donut which had a nice fruity flavor and very cakey texture. My first trip here was a tad disappointing because they had already run out of the cronuts so early in the day. The girl who worked there was nice enough to inform me to call in advance next time and they would be willing to set some aside for me. So there you have it folks...if you're seeking cronuts just make sure to call ahead! When I finally got to try the cronuts, it definitely lived up to the hype. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They do a strawberry and cream filling, as well as a nutella and strawberry filling. Both were good but my personal favorite was the cream. Next time I think I'll try the cronut plain with cinnamon sugar.

New favorite donut shop in OC. Service here is top notch!!! The donuts...even BETTER! My first trip here I came to try the fresh strawberry filled donuts. They offered two: chocolate covered with custard filling and a regular glazed with whipped cream filling. They were both delicious but I particularly enjoyed the regular glazed with the whipped cream as it was light fluffy and not too sweet. I also ordered a blueberry donut which was just perfect and moist. They even offered me a free donut to try their famous red velvet donut! They also offer sandwiches and variety of smoothies. When in the area, this place is a must try!

This place is beyond amazing and the service is great:) my favorite ones are sunny delights blueberry cream cheese and red velvet. And their crosant sandwiches are delicious.

Tried my first cronut here and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! :) Bought the Nutella strawberry for my and my girlfriend. We both loved it. Also got a free complimentary glazed donut for checking in ... which tasted great! And I thought all glazed donuts were practically the same.

OMG SO GOOD! The cronuts really live up to the hype! They do run out, so I usually call ahead to check and see if they have them.

I use to visit DK's a lot when I was a kid. I had family near the shop and would go there for donuts. Now years later I stopped by and tried their Cresnuts. Got to say it's very well prepared and good! It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Adam does a wonderful job. He adds strawberries and a touch of cinnamon sugar and cream filling. Definately my Cronut (aka Cresnut) stop when I'm in the area.

  • Diana K.

This is my go to place when I'm craving some cresnuts! Especially since they're closer to where I live. They're absolutely delicious! I wish they were a bit more crispier on the outside but that's okay :) They recently came out with the nutella one which I'm looking forward to trying :)

Simply put, great donuts, good breakfast sandwiches made fresh (not flash fired like coffee places...) Good coffee and smoothies too. BTW its a cash only place !

  • Allen Y.

My new favorite donut, hybrid donut, 'Cresnut with fresh strawberries'. Initial impression: looks like a sugar donut topped with a line of custard (I think?) and halved fresh strawberry. As you bite through the sweetened crunchy outer layer then the soft-flaky inside layer gives you the melts in your mouth sensation then the sweet custard-like filling combined with the tartness of the fresh strawberries which gives you the good balanced flavor. The combination of ingredients just complements each other, will keep you craving for more.

We've been twice to pick up breakfast for a bunch of family and everyone loves this place. They're really nice and the donuts are fantastic. They're perfectly fried and not overly sweet. The cronuts were the thing we were lured in by. They did not disappoint. Again, perfectly fried and in this case flakey as a cronut should be. The creme filling and strawberries in the one I tried were great. Definitely worth a try.

I came across this place after seeing pictures of their strawberry and custard filled donuts on "Papers & Peonies" instagram, and it looked so good, I had to try. When I showed the lady the picture, she said that she ran out, but that she could make it for us (great customer service by the way), and so we ordered 5 of the regularly glazed donuts. However, after biting into the donut, I realized that the custard and strawberries were good...but the donut itself wasn't. It was very dry and just felt powdery. I also ordered their ham and cheese croissant, to which I found the croissant buttery and tasty, but the ham and cheese was disappointing. After seeing so many good reviews, I was kind of disappointed after trying this place, and sad to give it only 3 stars, mainly on the service.

Went here for their cresnut and was not disappointed. First of all, excellent customer service. We went 3 times within a week just because we loved the cresnuts and other donuts, but we just love supporting a hard working place with such service. They really value their customers and that makes us come back. Definitely check them out and follow them on Instagram for updates!

If you are ever hungry for a GREAT Blueberry Donuts and it's 1:00AM in the morning stop buy and try these precious little monsters. I love them things, they are so good it's over whelming. Just make sure if you stop by here in the AM leave me one. I stop by here every other week and I just have to have my blueberry donuts. I also recommend the white and chocolate cake donuts they are also very inviting. It's puts other donut shops to shame. Make sure you stop by if your up at the we hours of the morning! Thank You

Best donuts ever. Pretty simple, but true. Almost singlehandedly responsible for an extra 20lbs I'm carrying. This place is that good. I'm gonna miss this place if I ever move back to England.

My favorite donut shop!! The donuts are fresh, delicious and unique. A must if you are in Orange County!! Adam is the super cool owner, be sure to say hi to him lol.

  • Dean P.

I was came here due to the pretty good Yelp ratings and tantalizing donut with custard and strawberries. I would be lying if I agreed 100% with the majority of the reviews. The custard and strawberries were pretty good, but the donut itself was a bit dry for my taste. I would've given this a lower rating if it wasn't for the service. The lady there was very nice and went the extra mile to make us our donuts on the fly.

Been going to these guys for years. Donuts anytime of the day. Ordered a donut cake tower for my last birthday and they went above and beyond to make several custom donuts for me. Also love how they're getting inventive with limited special donuts. Keep up the great work guys!

I have been doing business with Adam and his crew at DKs Donuts for some time now and I am always welcomed, treated cordially, and given more value for my money when I shop here. In all of this time I have NEVER had a stale or old donut or pastry, I recommend anyone looking for fresh quality pastries to this shop on Chapman avenue in Orange. it is the best! Factually, I recommended that my church purchase its donuts here on a weekly basis.; They have and I contantly get rave reviews for my recommendation. Great job Adam!

Hands down the best donut shop in Southern California! Just saying! I have been going to get donuts here for more than 20 years. :) Their donuts are amazing! My favorite are the chocolate bars but all the other donuts are delicious also. They have these breakfast sandwiches that are so goooood. They are open 24/7 so you can always get your donut fix to satisfy your sweet tooth. Definitely a must try. :)

It was brought to my attention that I have the wrong DK's Donuts store and that is correct - I am talking about the DK's Donuts in Garden Grove. There is no yelp page for that one so I will leave this review up. Just know that my previous review for this place was NOT for this location - it was for the Garden Grove location. I have yet to try the Orange location on Chapman Avenue, so disregard my review for this location and instead know that it is for the Chapman location in Garden Grove, CA. Thanks!

picked up some donuts from this place based on previous yelp reviews for my first and second period classes. everyone loved the donuts and the service is stellar. really reasonable prices too -- i got about 3 dozen assorted for about $25. will be back!

Their donut holes hits the spot for me every time! I recently stopped by to get my regular donut holes just to find out they have new flavors, so tried those instead and didn't disappoint. I got a blueberry donut which was full of blueberries on the inside and perfectly glazed on the outside....yum!!! I also tried their chocolate glazed donut with custard and fresh strawberries and it was the bomb! I was in donut heaven!!! I like how they come up with new flavors because now I'm excited to go back and try whatever's new. But of course, the donut holes will always be my original favorite :) The service is great as well so that's always a plus for me!

I have been going to this donut shop since I was 4, and no other shops compare. I now live in Long Beach and still crave DK's. I love their cappuccinos, their cinnamon buns, the custard-filled donuts, their breakfast sandwiches (SO GOOD!) and really, everything they make! I don't know what their secret is, but their donuts are so fluffy! My parents, who live in the Philippines now, always ask me to bring them 2 dozens of donuts from DK's whenever I go to visit them. They miss having DK's donuts, too! I absolutely love the people who run this shop and they are always smiling when they greet me. I have so many awesome memories of this shop. From the bringing home the box of donuts early on Saturday mornings so the family could wake up with a box awaiting them, to the late night talks with friends while having coffee on the benches in front, to walking to DK's as a kid to get a cinnamon bun... This place holds a very special spot in my heart. They make everything with love. People say that Krispy Kreme has the best donuts... Honestly, I'd rather have DK's. It's easily my favorite part of my hometown.

I was first introduced to this neighborhood donut shop about 2 and half years ago and it was love at first sip. Their cappuccino is just perfect and that's when the addiction kicked in. First it was the cappuccino, then the breakfast sandwiches, and lastly the donuts. Yes, I know, the donuts were the last thing I tried, but save the best for last, right? Through the 2 and a half years I've been going here, they have evolved their donuts from the norm. They are very consistent with their products. Every breakfast sandwich, beverage, and donut always tastes the same. My favorite is a very delectable, fluffy, velvety, hint of chocolate, crispy on the outside red velvet donut. They also have a fruit filled donut. My favorite is the strawberries and cream. It reminds me of a strawberry short cake. The staff is just fantastic! They are patient as you try and decide which donuts you want to choose from. Also, very helpful in recommendations if you have a particular taste you are looking for. If you haven't already tried this place out, you have been missing out.

The donuts are delish but I drove here to get the "cronuts" and unfortunately they only sold them filled. I prefer my "cronuts" just glazed. So three stars because of that but I agree with other reviews, the donuts are delish.

Best doughnut holes in the OC!!! Not only are all the doughnuts excellent but the staff is awesome. This has become our family's regular Saturday morning breakfast stop. Well worth the drive.

I had a late night donut craving last night and this was the only place open around my house. It was around 11pm and I didn't think the donuts were going to be fresh but they were. Really good donuts. The only draw back was that there were some sketchy people gaming around the place, other than that it was pretty good.

Like a fool, I've been driving home, right past this little gem, for over 10 years (its located in a little shopping center with a tiny post office). Not planning to drive past it any more! If you're in the mood for fresh, home-made, non-commercial manufactured donuts... here's is the place! This morning, I tried the egg and cheese croissant - fresh, warm and tasted fantastic! - , and also took home a half a dozen donuts for the family. We liked everything that we tried: the apple fritters, cinnamon roll, old fashioned donuts (one with maple and the other with chocolate topping) and regular raised donuts. Everything was so good, we can't wait to try more varieties... especially the fruit filled croissants! Friendly and quick service. Prices were very reasonable, and especially worth the great high-quality product. I'm afraid this little place will be quite habit forming!

I had to be somewhere at midnight and showed up a bit early so i drive down chapman and found D K's donuts. thought they weren't gonna be that good since the selection looked like half of what they would usually carry, but iwas wrong! they were all fresh. the people sitting in front hanging out seemed like locals and they I picked a maple old style donut which was DELICIOUS. im def going to drop by next time i have some time and i'm in the area.

  • Jen L.

This is the best donut shop around, hands down. The staff is always so friendly, and the donuts are fresh and delicious no matter what time of the day or night. I personally adore the crumb old fashioned - I have never seen them anywhere else, and these are magical. I think it is possible my husband is addicted. Whenever I ask what he wants for breakfast or a treat, he immediately says DK's!

Decided to stop by for a late night snack and I have to say I left as a very satisfied customer. Their donuts are fresh and at a reasonable price. I just tried new donut with the strawberries, whip cream and chocolate! All I have to say to that is "Yum!"

  • Karen M.

I love this place and I find it amazing. The only reason why I took a star off is because the crotons are around $3 and I feel like that's a little steep.I will come when I want a treat. The crotons are amazing but my favorite are actually the red velvet donuts! They are so savory. The butter is a nice note and oh my lord when I eat the donut.I can't help but wait till I get home and I prepare me some milk on the side and I devour the donut. The service is amazing and they are so kind. They even offer to put some strawberries and some custard. This was my second time coming and I will continue to come.(I just don't want to know how many calories a donut has.)

  • Mai T.

The best time to go here would be 12 p.m. or earlier so the donuts are still fresh. I went in the evening and some of the donuts were a bit dry, but they were still soft and spongey. My favorites were the oreo cookie donut, which is a chocolate bar cut in half and filled with whipped cream and oreo crumbs (holla diabeetus), and the caramel apple, which was a caramel donut cut in half and filled with apples in the middle. The donuts aren't too special taste wise but they do have unique flavors.

I used to come here all the time and used to enjoy their soft full of flavor donuts. they do have amazing donuts here. But after they sold or change management about a year ago they never keep a full shelf they are always running out of the regular donuts (chocolate bars maple bars sugar twists old fashion) and push the specialty ones. and after ten they hardly ever have any. Please can we go back to the way it used to be before when i was always able to just walk up and pick up any flavor donuts and not be let down. I hate going to friendly donuts about two blocks up chapman. i am giving DK Donuts 2 stars for their management not their product they are the best donuts here in Orange County

    (2)
  • Marie AK C.

I really wish I could give this place 5 stars but they only accept cash. Thus the 4-stars. Besides that, the donuts are amazing!!!! Right now they have a special yelp offer - if you check in, you get a FREE red velvet donut! Score!!! Their cronuts, eclairs and donuts are to die for! So fresh! Lots of flavors to choose from! They're open 24/7 so you can get em any time of the day! Some of my faves are the cookies n cream eclairs, banana nutella cronuts and boston creme donuts. Be prepared to be in donut heaven at DK's :) Fast, friendly and delicious!

Been coming here for the past 3 years and today I was having a craving for my favorite the berry crunch donut and my luck they had it so I bought all 6 left yum! I love there donuts they are out of this world but today the guy working the counter was rude and had me wait 20 minutes while he went to the back and on top of that was on his cell phone just chatting it up he didn't even get my order right and didn't even know the names of the donuts that I was choosing even though they were clearly marked and than when I showed him my cell phone to claim my free red velvet donut he said he wasn't good on this visit and argued with me how sad seriously now I picked a gourmet donut and he also said it would cost an extra $1.75 I'm like what the hell? I asked if there was anyone else here he said no I asked if he knew the product he was selling he looked at me confused like if i was from another planet I told him I've never had trouble before been coming here for over 3 years I said he should consult with the owner regarding there policy and regarding YELP he said he would and that next time he wouldn't sell me any donuts WOW what harsh words to say to a long time faithful customer. Honestly YELPERS Today's customer service was HORRIBLE I am disappointed at the customer service & the lack of social skills this guy had every time I come here it puts me in a happy mood but not today I leave here feel sad :( SMH FYI these donuts are still the best unfortunately the customer service was Not!

THIS is why America is one of the unhealthiest countries around and you know what? I'm perfectly fine with that. Let me tell you about some of my favorite selections here The Churro Cro-nut, the result of a churro, donut and croissant kinky threesome...I mean who thinks of this ish?! The taste of a churro with a croissant outer texture and donut shape and doughniness. In case this didn't already give you diabetes they added cream in the center to get you there, they're not totally inconsiderate. The Bacon Elvis... Remember how Elvis got "chunkier" towards the end of his career? Yeah, it's probably because he discovered food like this. This banana creme filled peanut butter doughnut and topped with bits of crispy, salty bacon is exactly what you will need to relive Elvis' later days. Perfect balance of all three flavored is exactly why this is a favorite amongst customers here. The Oreo Eclair....oh just shut up...you had me at Oreo. This little (actually it's pretty big) bundle of joy is just like your normal eclair but with a whip cream river flowing down the middle of the bar and littered with Oreo cookie crumbs now just shush your mouth and swim over (or drive) to DKs and get your hands on this. I also tried the caramel apple pie donut, which I didn't care too much for. The free red velvet with check-in was pretty average and lacked more cream cheese but free is free. The Snickers Bar was alright, the taste didn't remind me that much of snickers. These were among the ones that caught my eyes in their diabetes rack and they lacked the other donuts I've seen on the pictures, but I'm sure availability changes from time to time. If you're considering going to this place, a wise man once told me "Just Do It," wait actually I think that was just a Nike commercial but who cares ,just get some the place is open 24/7....mmm..donuts.

Blueberry donuts are on the rage and sold at most donut shops, but Dk's is unique cause they sell BLUEBERRY FRITTERS!! That's what I said, BLUEBERRY FRITTERS!! They also have blueberry old fashions but not the day I went. I would say overall 3.5 stars for this place. I feel it's a bit over rated, but I like that DK's has a large variety of donuts and they make most of them fresh around midnight. After following their IG page for so long, I couldn't take it anymore and had to drive all the way to orange to try it! This is a family owned branch and not related at all to the tustin or santa monica locations. I arrived in the morning around 8 and there was a long line but it moved by fast I was able to place an order of a half dozen mixed box on their website. I got a response within an hour. I was able to use the 10% off discount on their website and even got a free red velvet donut with yelp-check in! :) 1 Matcha Green Tea Donut - The donut had a nice matcha green tea icing on it, but was a bit too sweet. I couldn't finish it 1 Blueberry Fritter - tasted like a blueberry donut made into a fritter! The thing was huge and I couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, I prefer the apple fritter still, but it was nice trying this item at least once! 1 PB oreo donut - For some reason mine didn't have that much PB. Maybe I should've gotten the PB & Strawberry jelly filled donut. The whipped cream in the middle made it a bit too much to eat. 1 Nutella banana creme donut - FINALLY A WINNING DONUT!! I loved the banana creme filling and nutella spread on top. I should've gotten more of this as I finished it with no problem! 1 caramel Apple pie cresnut - Their version of the cronut! I actually like the cresnut here because it has that crunchy texture to it that you would get from a nice crunch flaky croissant. Although I still think Seaside has the better cronut! 1 maple old fashioned - This is my regular staple donut to judge most donut shops on. I didn't like DK's version 'cause it wasn't crispy enough and the maple flavor wasn't as strong. The good thing though is that the donut wasn't too oily. 1 Red velvet donut - Free with check in! It was ok, I prefer the red velvet donut at The Donuttery. This one was kind of on the dry side Overall it's a unique donut shop, but I wished the donuts tasted as good as they looked :(

I love donuts like a fat kid loves cake. I love sweets. I'm a sweets monster. Sometimes I get my sweet tooth craving on the weekend and there is no telling what time I am going to crave a donut. Never fear, DK's is open 24 hours! I have been going to DK's for over 10 years... Went to Orange High so this was one of our spots after a football game at Fred Kelly stadium. I love them! They have all the original donuts and all the crazy "trendy" ones. We love the following: (no judging please) lol - Original sugar - Bear claw - Snicker bar donut - Strawberry Cresnut (aka cronuts) - Blueberry - Maple Bacon cresnut Those are just a few off the top of my head but we like to try different ones all the time. The only thing I don't like about this place is that it is C A S H O N L Y! We usually never carry cash... But we make sure to hit an ATM before going here.

    (4)
  • Thomas T.

Dang amazing donuts. So much good taste in my mouth with every bite. Definitely a thing to do if you want the fat kid inside you to come out again. I definitely saw several people in line that should not be in the donut line if you know what I mean haha. This place can put the pounds on you! But excellent desert treat. My favorite is the Samoa and Strawberry cream.

Hands down best cronuts at DKs! Fresh daily. Make sure you hit it up early because they run out fast. Enjoy!!!

I have been wanting to try this place since I started seeing pictures of the donuts. They have the usual donuts but the gourmet ones caught my eye. I had no idea about this place and it's a 5 minute drive from home. They are open 24hrs and it's cash only, but I came prepared since I rarely carry cash. When we stopped by it was about 9pm, so there were trays that were empty but they still had plenty of options to choose from. We decided to pick a variety of different donuts so we can sample each one, ended up with about 9. PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY This is a strawberry jelly filled donut with peanut butter over the top of it. The jelly is yummy with actual pieces of strawberry. CARAMEL APPLE PIE This was my favorite!! It's a donut filled with apple pie filling which had just the right amount of soft apple pieces inside. The top has a layer of delicious caramel crumb!! STRAWBERRY & BLUEBERRY These two were like biting into a muffin or cake. They were soft and banging in flavor!! They have crunch pieces over the top and in the donut. RED VELVET With your Yelp check in this one is free. It was good. Donut was soft but I felt it needed more of a cream cheese flavor. NUTELLA AND JELLY I was disappointed in this one. The donut is filled with strawberry jelly and layered with chocolate over the top. I was thinking it would be Nutella over the top but it was just chocolate. The donut wasn't bad just not what I thought. Their are so many other donuts that I will be returning to try. Just need to fill it in my diet without tipping the scale.

A Studio of Doughy Goodness! Tingle Every Sense In Your Body! Beautifully crafted donuts. Donuts are created in such a way that each and every one is its own piece of art. Visually stimulating, the sweet aroma and distinct taste of each donut make this a very unique shop. Combine this with free tastings, lower prices and a free donut with Yelp Checkin, your wallet is pleasantly surprised. This is not your ordinary donut shop. The people working here put a lot of love behind the donuts. This is a studio of sugary artists full of doughy goodness! While most like the "Gourmet" side of this studio, I prefer their high end classics: Unique Donut Holes are definitely worth a free taste; Bear Claw; Blueberry Bear Claw and; The Glazed! The Studio crafts fresh batches throughout the day and the night! I am a fan if this location. Definitely a Fan!!!! DK Donuts, Orange..another reason the OC is the best place to live!

This donut shop is very close to my house, I don't know why I don't come here more often. I just had their maple bar with bacon and it was so freakin delicious. I've had their cronuts which are super light and fluffy, so so yummy. Brought my sister who's visiting from SF and she fell in love with the place. Will most likely come here more often they have so many different donuts I want to try! Nom Nom Nom! Oh and tame your paper monies, it's Cash Only! :)

Best Nutella cronuts and simoan donuts ever! No joke they were so bomb I couldn't believe I would drive by they this place and miss it! I would give this place 5 star if there location wasn't so small and ugly and so easy to miss but other than that it's great

***DONUT FORGET TO BRING CASH*** I'm not really a huge fan of donuts or sweets, but DK's donuts are good. I tried the churro flavored cronut and just eating one makes you feel so full. The cronut was good it was a little too sweet for my liking. I ordered a churro cronut with creme filling and strawberries, an oreo éclair, and a matcha green tea donut. The oreo éclair was too sweet for sure (I shared it with my three apartmentmates and we were all getting headaches from how sweet it was), but the MATCHA GREEN TEA DONUT IS SO GOOD. If you like green tea flavored things I would HIGHLY recommend it - I could probably eat five in one sitting... Like it says at the top, it's cash only so don't forget to stop by at an ATM beforehand if you don't carry cash around with you! The workers were extremely patient and nice! My friend and I kept asking questions because there were no flavor labels but they were really nice about explaining everything and gave us their recommendations on their favorite donuts. I will definitely be back for matcha green tea donuts ^_^

I have to admit.. This wasn't the particular DK's donuts in California I was looking for. I am thankful that I went to this place instead though. It's a very small building in a strip shopping mall so it might be easy to miss. I purchased the Oreo, Samoa and peanut butter/jelly donuts. The Oreo donuts were amazing. You could either have whip cream or without it, but i suggest getting it. I'm a plain old raspberry jelly person so trying these was a whole new experience to me. Dk's donuts did not disappoint me at all. If you live in the Orange County area and craving a donut late at night.. Dk's is the way to go.

Majority of DK's donut is plain, very common like anywhere else. However, their strawberry crestnut, which is like a cronut with creamy filling is amazing. Smooth cream with fresh strawberry, sandwich in between the crispy crusts of a donut & croissant hybrid. Yum! Yum! I recommend skipping the other kinds, and go straight to their crestnuts. They cost more, but so what. I rather pay more, but put good food in my mouth. Either way, I am going to ingest the calories, might as well make it worth while.

Great selection, staff is friendly, donuts are pretty good however, they only accept cash. I used their "one free red velvet" with any purchase when I checked into the place.. but their blueberry donuts is by far my favorite.

Really good uniquely flavored donuts. Also a reasonable priced for fancier donuts. Nothing was overly sweet, strong, balanced flavors. We got a blueberry, green tea, creme brulee, vanilla strawberry cronut, churro and the Elvis donut, which has peanut butter, bacon and banana cream. The standout was definitely the Elvis, it was really unique, and not overly sweet.

Awesome donuts. Open all day so if you have a craving for a delicious Red Velvet donut at 1 am then you're set! I have not tried the Maple Bacon bar donut but I've heard from fellow DK Donuts consumers that its different and really worth the try! Overall great place, friendly enviroment. Good donuts.

Love me DKs donuts! Make sure to check in and get that free donut This place sells out quick of the specialty donuts my personal favorite is the the green tea! Amazing! Great cronuts ! Friendly service with quality donuts and cronuts! Make sure to give them a try!

Absolutely love this place. They have the best donuts (peanut butter and jelly + blueberry creamcheese specifically) out of any donut spot in the area. I think it is family owned still. Or at least it was when I was younger. Must have dessert for me on a regular basis. Cool new logo too.

    I. Love. This. Place. Okay, maybe that was a little much. But this place is ah-mazing. I always order the cronut (they call it something else - cresnut I think) but it's basically a croissant style donut sprinkled with sugar. If you are feeling extra gluttonous, add some custard and fresh strawberries and it's a bit of heaven in your mouth. I rated this place with only 4 stars because I haven't tried a cronut anywhere else and there's nothing to compare it to. Tip: cash only

This place, along with Donuttery in HB, are my top go-to donut places. I live closer to DK's, so I come here more often, every once in a while, even just for a glazed donut. You can tell they make good donuts just by tasting their glazed donut. I judge a donut shop by their glazed donut. I've had their glazed, chocolate glazed, original glazed crestnut, oreo bar, nutella strawberry, and others, and have no complaints. Remember CASH ONLY.

  • Michéle N.

They had a lot of interesting choices of doughnuts and beautifully crafted as well. I ordered the office dozen and it was an absolute hit. I wish the cream in the Oreo doughnuts were not so whipped cream like and more like Oreo frosting. But other than that, the doughnuts were fresh and if supreme flavor! I will need to explore LA DK donut after this.

Cronut was pretty bomb (5 stars!) Red Velvet donut was also very tasty, but could've been a bit more moist. The bacon peanut butter donut was pretty good as well but not mind blowing.

  • Elaine T.

Apple Pie Raise was delicious and the bread was so soft which means it was FRESH! It's hard to find fresh donuts at a 24hour place. Also got the blueberry donut, and red velvet which were both delicious. Definitely worth a try, will probably go back and try others. :)

After a long day of shopping at the outlets, my friend and I went here to get some donuts. We got the following donuts: peanut butter bacon, nutella banana cream, strawberry shortcake, strawberry delight, blueberry, and strawberry cronut. I love the different unique flavors of the donuts! We thoroughly enjoyed all of the donuts, but loved the ones with strawberries the most. There were also the more typical donuts too (glazed, chocolate, maple, etc.). The unique donuts ranged from $1.75 - $3 and the typical donuts were around 80 cents. Although I enjoyed all of the flavors of the donuts, they would have definitely tasted better if they were fresher. I felt like some of them may have been left out on the display shelf a little too long. The cronut would have been perfection if it was fresh out of the fryer. It wasn't as crunchy as I hoped it would be. As a result, I need to take a star off. The prices were fair and the cashier was friendly. The next time that I go, I will be sure to go in the morning so that I could get fresher donuts. I can't wait to come back to try more of the flavors. The parking lot is kind of small, so be careful going in and out of it!

Great great service, especially when I got some free donuts. We only ordered a strawberry nutella cronut and a blueberry donut, and the guy gave us a two free donuts, a red velvet and blueberry. He also gave my nephew some donut holes. Cronut was alright, a bit too flakey and crispy. I liked the blueberry over the red velvet, so I would go back for that since it's not oily like M&M's. Parking lot is small. Cash only. Open 24 hours.

Nutella Cronut. The end. But seriously, this shop is awesome! I found out about this particular DK's from instagram! After seeing the different donuts and cronuts available here, I knew I had to add it to our list of places to check out dk during our most recent SoCal trip. No long line, but then again it was about 11ish on a Wednesday. The staff greeted us with smiles and we received our order promptly, including the breakfast sandwich our eldest ordered. And her sandwich was huge! Was not expecting it to be any bigger than a fist maybe! The Nutella Cronut... Seriously. Kinda glad I don't live closer because I'd balloon up because of that bad boy.

  • Kandice S.

Great selection of donuts (try the blueberry, it's a must-have. Also the Samoa was very good). The donut textures were really good and were still good the next day too. The Nutella cresnut filling was so sweet I could feel the enamel being stripped off my teeth. I will be back for the blueberry donuts for sure and will try the original cresnuts. Cash only!!

  • Sheri L.

This was my first taste of anything cronut like and honestly I haven't even had a donut in a long time but these sure did hit the spot! I got the Nutella cronut with strawberries and there's nothin yummier than a donut dripping Nutella! Also got the original cronut with custard and strawberries but I would prefer without the custard. The strawberry shortcake donut was good (glazed donut w strawberries and whipped crew) and the red velvet that was free with check in was yummy and moist. Also got the snickers bar which was my least fave but still good, just not really snickers-ish to me. Will come back next time I want a donut ... Which I've been craving another cronut since I scarfed it down! Staff is really friendly and good at up selling. Only thing that stops me from giving 5 stars was because the coffee was barely Luke warm and the creamer didn't seem chilled very well.

  • Nina L.

the Nutella Cronut is my favorite! I added strawberries for 50cents and it was sooo good. Their blueberry donuts are really good too! Love that this place is 24 hours considering I'm a vampire and always have the late night munchies. Only negative thing about this place, is there are so many gnats around the cashier window, and up against the donut display window and flying around landing on you. Employees are friendly and donuts were all yummy so I'll be back !

  • Kathy C.

Hello!! Cronuts are amazing! Did not get what all the hype was about until I tried them. Sister and brother in law brought us here, thank you!!! Not a lot of donut shops in sf...more cupcakes. And I appreciate the casual environment, not a hipster vibe...like many sf joints. Free red velvet donut with check-in. It was very good. Chocolate oreo creme filled, is amazing. Awesome place for a donut fix, and customer service was awesome. Try the cookies and cream blended drink!

  • Kathy N.

So delicious! They have so many tasty choices and they all look amazing. One of my personal faves was the apple fritter. I also ordered an iced coffee. It tasted fine, but I should have topped off my snack with a box of milk instead :)

  • Tiffany K.

oh baby. Coming to this joint was like rediscovering an old pair of jeans that I used to love, but had gotten pushed to the back of my closet by my newer pairs. Once you slide your legs into each leg hole and pull up the fabric to zip and button, you wonder to yourself why you never wore these babies earlier. This place did just that and sparked my love for donuts again. Forget cupcakes, macaroons and frozen yogurt. I think I just found my next favorite dessertfast. Fresh, fun and fast. I love how fast their service is and the endless variety of traditional AND different play on flavors. I don't know which one is my favorite. The Nutella Cronut, glazed Cronut, Oreo's 'n' Cream, Samoa and peanut butter were oh so freakin' good. I swear I'll have to come back and try all of the other flavors one by one. Each bite was so fresh and clean and just pure bliss. You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors. Just remember to bring them dolla billsss $$$$$$$ cha ching!

My friends know that if I don't swim in the morning, or if I have a bad swim workout in the morning, I get a couple of donuts. Donuts used to be something rare for me. But, lately, I have visited many donut shops. DK's Donuts is one of the many donut shops that I have been to recently. DK's Donut is located in Orange, a couple of miles away from my office. They are open 24 hours. It is located in a busy and small shopping center in the middle of the block. They are kind of like a donut shack. There is no seating inside or out. You order your donuts at one of two windows. They have all kinds of donuts. The ones that I have tried include a strawberry cronut, an Oreo Bar, and a blueberry donut. Unfortunately, when I wanted a maple bacon donut, the other day, they did not have it. Their cronuts are good. Their cronut is different from the place a few blocks away. DK makes their cronut when you order it. They have their cronut shell waiting on racks. They will fill the cronut with your desired filling after you order it. Their strawberry and cream cronut that I ordered recently was good. It was perfect for a bad swim workout day. The Oreo Bar was my second choice the other day behind their Maple Bacon Bar. It was my first time seeing an Oreo Bar. But, it won't be my last time seeing one. That Oreo Bar was great! It was perfect for a non swimming day. Service has been good everytime I go there. The girls working as cashiers and servers do a good job. No complaints about the service. Overall, this is a pretty good donut shop. Donuts are good. The cronuts at Donuttery are better than the DK's cronuts. Dk's is centrally located between the swimming pool I swim in the morning, and the office. I gotta stop having bad swim workouts because I am eating way too many donuts.

Honesty some of the best donuts I've ever tasted. This place is the only place I'll be willing to drive out for. The cronuts are so bomb and the cream and strawberries are super fresh!! The place doesn't accept credit card so you'll have to have some cash handy. But seriously. They're so good. I wish I could go back in time and take that first bite of cronut again. THE DONUTS ARE SO GOOD. The price isn't too bad either. $12 for half a dozen gourmet donuts. COME HERE NOW. YOU WONT REGRET IT.

So many varieties of donuts and cronuts! I would visit this location with my friends at the oddest hours at night and this place would never disappoint when our cravings... Tried their specialty cronuts to their specialty donuts and they're all so perfectly made! I had the pleasure of ordering customized donuts from them this weekend for my sister's birthday and they did such an amazing job! They even included her age when we didn't expect for anything more than what they had already helped us with (Above and Beyond)! Plus, they're organized and so easy to work with! Thanks Adam for yours and your team's work :)

We got a dozen donuts and my favorite was the bacon donut. It tasted just like breakfast ! They only take cash which kinda sucks. Also most of their donuts don't have fillings which is disappointing.

Finally -- my first Cronut. And I'm in love. Whenever I go to a donut shop, I use the "donut hole" as the standard of measurement to determine their level of artistry. Why the donut hole? Well, it's the "leftover" part of the donut. I figure that if they can make even the "leftover" parts taste great, then their other stuff should be legit. Also, the donut hole has the essentials of donuttery: baked dough and glaze. So how did they measure up in the donut hole challenge??? Outstanding. I'm guessing it might be the type of dough they use or the magic they sprinkle on top, but their donut holes are absolutely delicious. Now that they've past the basic donut hole challenge -- how about their other "specialty" donuts? Cronuts/Cresnuts: What initially brought me here was their reputation for their Fresh Strawberry cronuts. And although I have no other cronut to compare theirs to, I would be satisfied if all the cronuts in the world tasted like the ones they bake here at DK's. The delicious cream and strawberry slices sandwiched in between the flaky texture of fried and sugared dough is a perfect formula to satisfy any sweet-tooth. Blueberry donuts: Better than the ones at M&M donuts, which is located nearby in Anaheim. However, unlike M&M, I didn't have to wait two hours at 1:00 AM in the morning to get fresh donuts. Bacon maple bar: Someone once told me, that bacon makes everything taste better. However, I prefer sausage over bacon -- and so I don't share the same level of appreciation of this popular, savory & sweet combo. I must say though, their maple bar is as good as it could be. The common mistake of bacon on top of sweets is that after time, the bacon gets soggy because it absorbs the sugar and moisture. I am happy to report that the bacon on their donut is not soggy -- as a matter of fact, it was still crispy. Just a heads up: - They are CASH only (as you probably read on the other Yelp reviews) - Also, you get a free glazed donut with check-in (so check in as you wait in line and not while you drive away with your donuts) - Lastly, the employee that was helping me was super nice. She threw in a free red velvet donut b/c it was my first time. I can't wait to go back and try EVERY, single one of their delicious creations. I'm not sure what DK stands for.. but I wouldn't be surprised if it meant "Donut King" because they rule! (excuse the cheesy writing) (:

I don't eat doughnuts very often but I must say DK's make some exceptional pastry. The strawberry delight is amazing as is the blueberry cheesecake.

I LOVE this donut shop! THE best DK's ever! Try their Cronuts, any flavor, you won't go wrong. Yummy donuts...maple, maple bacon, sriracha bacon, Red velvet, green tea, Nutella with banana cream, original. I still have a lot more to taste, but you've gotta give then a try. Oh!! CASH ONLY!

Found our new donut place. Delicious. There is a large variety of speciality and regular donuts. We tried: the donut holes, croissant holes, glazed cronut, red velvet (yelp checkin), and a Nutella wild strawberry filled donut. For $5 it was worth the trip :) the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Can't wait to share this place with our friends and family.

I was REALLY, REALLY excited to finally get my hands on some of these donuts! Unfortunately, these donuts were not all as great as I thought. We arrived around 10pm on a Wednesday and they had all the flavors I was there for: blueberry, green tea, samoa, and the infamous cro-nut. So I snagged a random mix to try at home! :) I think what made the experience underwhelming was the fact that the donuts tasted old. They weren't fresh, so I wasn't expecting warm and soft consistency...but it was nothing close to the deliciousness I was expecting. I ordered both the glazed blueberry and blueberry crumble and both were dry and hard. The Samoa was just sweet and chocolately... I have the say though...the cronut was pretty legit. They fill it with cream and strawberries to order, and that was the great part about this donut. It was light, airy, flaky, and just the right amount of sweetness with the cream and cinnamon sugar. Overall, i think donuts can't really be put to a high standard if they aren't close to being fresh. I want to come back to try to snag some warm ones, but I honestly wouldn't make a special trip to give DK's a visit. The man at the counter was super, super sweet and patient though!

Blueberry donuts with crumbs are my fave! Get that crispy bite from the glazed sugar, but the inside is so nommmiesssss and soft.

  • Hashanah K.

The selection is hit or miss. Call in to confirm they have your faves. Plain French cruller, cronuts, red velvet, Cronut holes and bacon maple are the best. Cash only is a drag. At times parking can be tight. But these are the best damned donuts in so cal!

**Cronuts!!** **Donut snob** Cutesy donut shop where you walk up to the window and let them know what you want. If you want custard/whip cream and strawberries, let them know. I feel I expected way too much, and eating the donuts did not at all impress me, but the presentation was really well-done. They will put together your donuts, made-to-order, so it's not like the cream or strawberries were sitting in the donuts all day. You pick your donut/cronut, and let them know how you want it. The glazed donut was a bit too sweet for me. I'll pass on that one. Now I'm not normally a donut snob, this was my first mission. I wanted to rate 3 stars but I'm rating on the over-all experience. Customer service was great. I'm just a custard fanatic so it was not nearly enough custard for me. And I did specifically say I'm not eating the donuts right away, would they still be just as yummy later tonight? He said yes. But when I got home and opened the box and peaked at my strawberries, it was not appetizing. And the strawberries are sliced so thinly. I expected too much I know. I'm going to go back and get another cronut. I prefer the original over the glazed. The original is just sugar. I'm going to see if eating it right away will make a difference. The custard seeped into the donut so it kind of made it a little soggy. I noticed "Donut Man" puts whole strawberries in their donuts! I think that's my next mission. I'm so over the cupcake craze, and now going cray cray over donuts! No bueno! So I know it feels I have a lot of complaints but the donuts/cronuts here are very reasonably priced. The regular donuts are around a $1-1.50. I go to "Jax Donuts" in Brea and for just sugar/glaze donuts it's at least a buck or more. And for cronuts at places like 85C is $3 and it's just plain. A little over priced. It didn't taste any different than the one here and it's only $2. I left with half a dozen donuts for only $9.25 which seemed a bit reasonable compared to places like 85C. I ended up buying two cronuts with strawberries and custard, a glazed donut and chocolate donut filled with custard and strawberries. Than I got just a regular and glazed donut, which didn't taste any different than other donut shops. But I like that the donuts aren't oily. I have no clue if it's normal but when I buy donuts at Jax, the paper bag is seeped with oil. I wanna ask him to double the bag. I had no clue about the free glazed check-in offer so I'm going back to get one cronut to give them a second chance and see how it turns out, and my free glazed donut. :) Thanks for reading!! :) ~*kenzie*~ **Someone just told me this is not the same as DK's in Santa Monica. I'm gonna have to make a drive down there and try out their donuts!!

Small shared parking for a small shop filled with big magical deliciousness. I can't say enough about the wonderful creations coming from this shop. I never thought I would drive miles out of my way for a donut when there are a handful around my house I could walk to yet every donut I purchase is from DK. Their sandwiches are very good as well making this a stop for anyone hungry whether having a sweet tooth or not. The staff is very friendly and kind but have had difficulty getting an order that isn't a donut correct. Even long lines move quickly despite being cash only, but that's not unusual for a donut shop. Beware, eating a donut from here ruins all other locations for you.

I decided to check this place out b/c I was in the mood for donuts. I got there at around 9:40 a.m. with no line, but I noticed there were customers constantly coming and going. I decided to get 8 donuts and 1 of them was free (free red velvet when you check-in). The other flavors I got were Snickers bar, Oreo Eclair Bar, PB&J, Oreo Peanut Butter, Glazed, Coconut Creme Bar, & Caramel Apple Pie. I wanted to try the matcha green tea donut and one or more of their cresnuts, but I don't think I paid enough attention to find those. I didn't see them, at least.. I like how some of their flavors are unique/ flavors you don't see often. It makes this place different! The snickers was alright, but the oreo eclair was pretty good (smothered with whipped cream). Personally, I didn't like the cinnamon on the caramel apple pie. I have yet to try the other flavors. Customer service was pretty good, too.

With DK Donuts, it's worth celebrating Donut Day -- everyday! Definitely worth every calorie! (My faves so far: Strawberries & Cream Cronut, Matcha Green Tea, Red Velvet Oreo, Caramel Apple Pie, Nutella, + other creative variety of gourmet donuts! And soon to try Churros & Cream!).

The donuts here weren't as great as all the reviews made them out to be. Got a red velvet and double chocolate. The red velvet was dry and didn't have the crunchy exterior of a good donut, and the double chocolate didn't have any chocolate flavor to it. I stopped by about midnight, and they didn't have much of a selection and just had basic donuts (no blueberry, no apple fritter, and none of the fancy donuts you see in any of the pictures everyone posted), so maybe I just stopped by on the wrong night and the red velvet was dry because it was a day old, and the double chocolate didn't taste like chocolate because it was fresh and still warm. (Didn't take a picture of the double chocolate because I ate it first).

I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. My friends been telling me about it for so long but until yesterday, Ryan C. Posted a picture of their Cronuts on Instagram and I couldn't resist any longer. We went here after dinner around 10pm and there was plenty of parking and barely anyone in line. We had Kbbq before so I was already really full but there's always from for dessert! When we got there, there was so many different options to order. I saw Oreo donut, bacon bits on top of a donut, red velvet, chocolate old fashion, maple bars, and many more. What ended up getting was the famous nutella cresnut a.k.a cronut, blueberry crumb donut and a strawberry shortcake. The nutella cresnut was amazing. They just came out of the oven so get were nice and warm. Crunchy with fresh strawberries inside and on top. The texture is almost like a churro. I love churros so this was a plus! The nutella was generously added on top and inside. It was a perfect combo! The Burberry donut was o.k. it wasn't that fresh so it seem a bit dry inside. The strawberry shortcake was SUPER sweet. It was a soft donut outside with whipped cream inside with some strawberries. I love the fresh strawberries they used in their donuts! Note: CASH ONLY and no indoor seating Can't wait to come back again for the nutella cresnut!! That is something I'll definitely come back for!

Get the chocolate delight with the strawberries in them! Small place but filled with delicious things. Good thing it's so far away or I probably won't be able to fit in my pants in 2 weeks. If you're in the area, definitely swing by and get a dozen (or 2... No judgements).

The donuts here are the best I have had in Orange thus far. Their glazed is light, fluffy and tastes like air in your mouth. They also serve many exotic things such as the cronut which is a must get. From the samosas to the tiger tails, this is the best donut place around.

  • John D.

i primarly came here after seeing all the great reviews about the cronut. I never was fortunate enough to have the one from dominique ansil, but I have had some from Crumbs and Paris Baguette. I never understood the hype. I came here after my horrible experience at Orange Hill, knowing a cronut might help. It sure did. Be sure to bring cash people! and check in for a free donut. I got the glazed cronut and my wife got the nutella donut. Both were delicious! I wouldn't go out of my way, but its worth a trip if you're near.

I would tell you what their best donut is... but then I would have to knock you off !! (pc enough?) My personal fav @ DK's is the chocolate frosted Old Fashioned donut. It's edges r crispy & the cake stays moist. When u take a bite, u get that just right crunch. They r made to perfection. The next time you're hankering for a late night snack, (open 24/7) or its your turn @ the office, forget about the filled, fruit, specialty, fru-fru donuts. Go back to the root of the donut. Get some of these to try. You'll 'm They r really good.

Visited DK for the first time this morning. The ladies here were excellent at helping me. I gave them my budget, told them how many doughnuts I thought I needed and they worked it all out and left room in my budget to grab a coffee too. Since the doughnuts are for my team at work, I won't get to taste them all, but they sure do look amazing! I tried the nutella banana and it was wonderful. I also tried the oreo eclair chocolate bar and was not disappointed. If you are looking for a special doughnut experience that won't break the bank, I definitely recommend DK.

I went out of my way last night... to get to this place. Because it was at night.. options were limited. I picked the Nutella Cressnut, Nutella donut and red velvet donut. I only picked 3 cause i didn't want to buy a dozen to contrubute to my cravings... and there werent anythign exciting as far as options at night.. in terms of what was left. I took them home. try the Nutella cressnut first. OMG!!!! it was so crispy and yummy.. it was like nutella lathered crispy croissant. Considering it was not freshly prepared.. and it has been sitting on the window.. it was awfully crispy!! i was genuinely surprised!! and 2 hours later.. i was dtying to take a bite of the red velvet... and that too was surprisingly fluffy and light... usually it is dense and creamy.. but they make it very light.. i felt like i didn't even any donuts! ROFL!! don't my tummy wish that. Anyways! definitely coming back perhaps weekend or morning... so more options to choose from.

The best ever donuts. Worth the drive from Utah to get these. Such a selection. Fancy style to basic. Something for everyone.

Super disappointed. I came here about 9pm, they had almost nothing. For sure they didn't have any of the great donuts DK's is famous for. Waste of a trip, left without buying anything.

i love the selection of donuts they carry here, especially the ones with fresh strawberries in or on them. best thing is ... they are open 24 hours.

Maybe I didnt buy the right donuts that day, but mine were a bit dry. I'll definitely have to come back again for round 2 because all of the donuts look so good.

The cresnuts aka cronuts here are delicious! Especially with the fresh strawberries in it ($2.95 just for the cresnut, $.50 extra for the strawberries) They still taste fresh after midnight! & there was a good selection. Had the Nutella cresnut - one with and on without strawberries... Mmm. Also had the Samoa donut ($1.50) This was so good and almost exactly like Samoa Girl Scout cookies. Buy milk for this savory donut! The guy behind the counter was super nice too! Check in for a free glazed donut & it's cash only. Hopefully they'll have other selections next time I come!

Very good donuts, good variety, but the special donuts are some how expensive. The guy who served me was very nice, he explained the flavors, prices, and also told me about the free donut if I check in on Yelp. I checked in on Yelp at the moment and got my free donut!!! The only bad thing about this place is the parking, the place is located in a small commercial business so everyone has to compete with the other businesses to get parking. Other thing that I didn't like was that there is no indoor tables to sit down and eat your donut and drink a good coffee.

Dk donuts is exceptionally good and the only complaint I have is its location. When we got there at 5 we couldn't find any parking so I had to run in there and grab it. The donuts weren't fresh which was expected but I had high hopes for it. If you were to go I would recommend going early in the morning. It probably would taste a lot better but it might not be worth the drive if you live more than 20 minutes away. I might come back again in the morning to give it a second chance.

Great find. As you approach DK's - it looks like a run-of-the-mill older Donut shop. But don't let looks fool you - there are some REALLY good donuts to have here. Went for the Oreo Cronut...err...Cresnut. It was really good, and the outside was perfect. Great flavor and it was nice and fresh. A little pricey at $3 - but not too bad. Cash only. Love that the gourmet donuts sit side-by-side with classic donuts, so you can indulge in classic or new flavors. They are also open 24/7! We were going to check out another Gourmet Doughnut place, but they de-SIDE to close too early, so we hoped in the CAR over here and still found them open. I'll be back!

Decided I wouldn't mind having my semi-yearly donut fix and since DK is about 10 minutes away from my house and open 24 hours I gave them a try. Their shop is unique, a cash only walk-up window with limited outdoor seating - not a problem because we were grabbing and going. Personally, I liked this set-up. I love that they have a mix of traditional and up-scale donuts, here's what we tried; Peanut butter and jelly - tasty Nutella Strawberry - also tasty Original Cronut (they call it something else, but same concept - this was not for me - a little too greasy and I really love croissants. French curler - not for me, but the person who got it loved it. Overall it was good and the price point is right. It is cash only so come prepared.

My first time trying cronuts. I will definitely be back. Here they call it "Cresnut", trademark thing? Not too sure. This place is CASH ONLY!! I got the original cresnut with strawberry n cream filling, it was so huge that I had trouble fitting it into my mouth, to the amusement of ze bf. Tasty n flaky but slightly overcooked and had a burnt taste. I know it will be better if it was cooked properly, I'm impressed enough to want to try it again. The saving grace was the vanilla glazed cresnut, omgahhhhhhhh!!! It was pure sweet bliss in every bite! Unfortunately they don't do the strawberries n cream inside this yummy treat, but no worries...I just took it from my other cresnut, very good combo. Perfectly cooked n flaky, with a sinfully sweet glaze. I'm already craving it.

Fantastic variety of donuts, I haven't had a bad donut yet. Donuts are sold at reasonable prices too. My only wish is that they accepted credits cards... but having cash only keeps the prices down.

Amazing donuts!!! Friendly staff!!! I pick up 3 dozen mixed once a month for Church. They are always fresh and delicious!!!

I don't understand what all the hype is about. I mean, yeah, the donuts are good but they're not like AMAZING, ya feel me? I would come back if I'm already in the area but not a place I'd drive out of my way for. Also, there were a lot of bugs crawling around on the counter where they serve you because they keep the open bottle of simple syrup right there.

Omg my friends and I came here after we were turned down by M&M donuts in anaheim, but I'm glad we did. Best cronuts everrrrr. The lady selling also hooked it up with free donuts, so yes, I'll come back for more late night guilty pleasures.

Uhm, yeah, bacon + siracha on a donut. Sounds gross, tastes like heaven. Lol. I love their donuts!!!! Especially, the bacon one. Their cronut is super delicious! I would come here everyday if I live close by. Try the cronut! I would recommend you to try the bacon and siracha donut but I don't know if you're gonna like it or not since a lot of friends refused to try it because it has siracha and bacon on it. But trust me, give it a try. You'll like it. :)

Another donuts shop to go to for breakfast. Found this place on yelp and again reviews are great. Bought half a dozen donuts, plus she throw red velvet for free. Nutella crestnut is to die for: it's a croissant filled with Nutella and strawberries, blend out the sweetness. Original cresnut is good too. When buy need to eat right away for the crunchiness, don't wait till later or the next day will get soggy. Coconut éclair: don't know how it taste...gave it too my coworker. PB&J donut is one of my fav: another version of eating PB&J sandwich. Can really tastes peanut butter and jelly filling. Oreo cookie éclair: is ok, nothing special. This place is cash only and definitely coming back for more of other cresnut. Banana cream, apple and cherries were out this morning.

I am absolutely OBSESSED with you, DK! If I didn't live so far, I'd definitely look like the Michelin Man but instead of tires, I'd have Cronut rolls! This place is absolutely delicious, especially their strawberry nutella creation! All I want for Christmas is to have you everyday for 12 days straight with a cup of awesome coffee for breakfast! I typically go to LA 2x a month to visit friends, I will definitely make a detour to Orange to get my cronut fix!!! **drooooooooool** PS: Please beware: Not all DK's are the same.. this is THE LEGIT location!

I drive out of my way to get donuts here. They sell out of some quickly, so come early if you have your heart set on a certain flavor. They have a huge selection of unique flavored, but are not overpriced like so many donut places are now.

Pre-order your donuts online the day before! Slim pickings if you don't. We stopped around 10 am on a Friday and they didn't have many of the specialty donuts we wanted to try. I was pretty disappointed. The case looked like a regular donut shop. We were struggling to pick out a dozen so I asked if they had more in the back and mentioned some of the ones we were hoping for, they said they would have more later. When I explained we were from out of town and couldn't come back the girl working the counter said she would see what she could do. She came back with 2 Cresnuts, a strawberry split and chocolate delight. Score! Everything we got was great and made the trip back home. I will def be back and pre-ordering next time. Samoa donut you will be mine.

My very first time trying cronuts and they are AMAZING!!! I tried the chocolate one (for chocolate lovers more so) and the regular one (ask for them to heat it in the microwave). Definitely better than a certain drive thru's mini versions. They have quite a variety and are fresh. They also have fancy donuts (PB&J is out of this world!). Easily accessible but don't forget your cash!

Found this little gem on National Donut Day. Boy what a DISASTER of a find that was. My husband wants to come here about 3 times a week now, and I don't have the will power to stop him! Even our 3 year old has started to ask about going to get donuts. What have I done?? Anyway, they're the best donuts ever obviously. The red velvet donut is always a winner. The girl scout cookie inspired Samoa donut is a plague upon this earth because I just can't stop wanting it. I love donuts. Go Here. The End.

We have driven past this time a lot over the past few years as we often take this road on our way home from work. We had never stopped or visited the location as we typically do not want donuts in the middle of the afternoon, however when the opportunity arose to meet a fellow Yelp friend here on a Saturday morning we jumped at the chance. This DK's Donuts location is head and shoulders at a higher level than that of the Anaheim location. Despite the small size of this location (2 small ordering windows & no interior) this place certainly leaves its mark. After quickly browsing the large and delicious assortment of billowy goods we placed our order. My wife ordered a oreo eclair (they were out but the girl quickly whipped up a new one on the spot which was incredibly cool) and a chocolate bar. I ordered a chocolate bar and a Vanilla Cresnut (Cronut). The chocolate bars were your average fare but tasted great and were far from lacking in chocolate which was nice to see. My wife's Oreo Elcair looked absolutely delectable and she quickly ate it up, the Cresnut however was a bit of a let down as it simply tasted like a thicker glazed donut. I was told they will make the Cresnut with custard inside so I will have to attempt this on my next visit and see what difference this makes to the overall appeal. The service was great and they were willing to prepare anything that they were out of. The prices are good and the pastries are made nicely. The parking here is a bit of a pain as there are not many spaces and several other businesses in the same small center. This location also has only 3-4 small tables outside to sit and eat which is a bit too small as they seemed to get quite busy at times. Out of the 2 locations we have tried this one is far and wide the better choice. The specialty donuts, cresnuts, eclairs and other assorted pastries along with the sandwiches and smoothies offered here blow all others out of the water. I am certain that this will become a semi-regular spot for us going forward.

This place is truly amazing and will be a hit with friends, family and co-workers! Give one to a stranger and you may have a friend for life, that is how delicious they are. Remember it is a CASH ONLY establishment but that is ok as I would not want to go with a credit card as it could get dangerous!

I just moved here from Texas and I stumbled upon this donut. The people who works there are very friendly and there donuts are way better than the donuts I had in Texas. My favorite donut is there blueberry fritter which is amazing! Definitely gonna go back.

Ahh, a donut shop in Orange. There seems to be one on every block, but what makes this place unique is their fresh, flaky, gooey ham and cheese croissant. Oh the bliss it brings to my taste buds. It is perfectly prepared and baked and doesn't get all over the place like other places. The only setback is that you have to wait until 2:30 am to get one of these, but for $2 per croissant, I'll wait (I'll give DK 4.5 Stars for that). Well, I've never gone to this place during the day so I'm not sure if it's as good. Another item to get is their White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies, which is very soft and also freshly baked, omg love it! Moving on to their donuts, eh, it's just like any other donut shop. Usually at night, the owner's son and daughter or another young dude is there working, who are all friendly. It's not the healthiest of choices at this hour, but always satisfying, especially after the bar. Speaking of bars, there's a place called Signal Lounge in the same parking lot...beware kids, steer clear of this place as there are some weird people here. One last thing, if you're driving down Chapman to get here, maintain the speed limit because the cops are everywhere on this street.

If you want a late night fresh donut, definitely hit this place up. It's right next to a Del taco so if you need a sugar rush and something to fill your stomach up this is the place. I drive by this donut shop all the time, and what I like about it is that it faces a big street and well lit. I never really notice the place during the day, I guess because it's a busy street, but at night, it's stands out because when you got the late night munches it's Del taco with donuts.

I just wanted to leave my two cents on something I wasn't sure I'd find spectacular or a little less than ok. I'm not a food connoisseur, but my taste buds know what excellent is. I had the chocolate custard filled donuts with slices of fresh strawberries the other day and was taken by the blend of flavor packed in this delectable treat. The bavarian cream, the chocolate, the soft dough and the strawberries were ten bites too fast. I can't wait until I sink my teeth in another one.

Donuts any day, any time. Donuts 24/7. Donuts for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night snack. I love it! DK's Donuts on Chapman in the city of Orange is the solution to my post-midnight sweet tooth cravings. Did I mention I love this place? I make sure to stop by this place on the way home from an evening of partying or a long road trip. Donuts always make me feel better...they make headaches go away, and eradicate warts and psoriasis. Not really, but wouldn't that be cool?! Anyway, DK's makes fresh donuts throughout the day and usually has at least one window full of donuts to tempt your tastebuds. Longjohns, Twists and Bearclaws...oh my! There's even a small gutter just below the windows to collect the steady stream of drool of patrons...j/k. No fancy conveyor belts and sugary frosting waterfalls (a la Krispy Kreme's), but you'll still have a good time looking. What more is there to say about a good donut shop? Consistent quality and taste, reasonable prices ($5/dozen), and who could forget the classic pink box? Make DK's a stop if you're in the area or need some coffee to perk yourself up before a long drive home. Note: if you're into breakfast pastries, they have a great ham and cheese croissant that really hits the spot early in the morning!
