I go to this Rubios the most. Every time we go, we always have excellent service and a warm smile :) Oh, the food is tasty too!!!

Taco Tuesdays $1.25/taco! Two tacos and a shared nacho plate plus the yummy salsas = satisfied tummy. I think I've gone every Tuesday this past month. I go here more regularly than I do my house of worship, people! Clean facility. Eating cheap goodies outside is the best!

This location is superb for many reasons. First off -- the fish tacos here are as good as it gets, with fire-roasted corn, chipotle sauce, cabbage and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. You can choose salmon or mahi mahi, and get either grilled or blackened. These tacos are phenomenal. The customer service here is also top-notch -- very friendly, and your order is ready before you know it. As a bonus, they have an awesome salsa bar.

I think the guy working here had a crush on us, he bussed our table twice (isn't this a fast food-type joint?) and gave me a cheesy smile when I was waiting for my friend in the restroom. Whatevs, the food was pretty decent (though I prefer Baja Fresh for fast Mexican)-- I had the chicken tacos combo, my friend the chicken street tacos (which I should try next time, they are pretty small). However, I nearly gagged because some lady behind us had a meal that smelled like throw up! LOL not joking!

I'm always confused when I leave this place. The food is incredibly fresh and tasty but the portions are made for kids. There are a million taco joints in L.A. where I can get 3x the meat for the same price as here.....but still not as tasty. I come back because I guess I like the corporate chef and the coupons in email help!

Can only eat the mesquite shrimp burrito. Did enjoy it. Cheap fish tacos satisfy greatly. They would get a half star more if they stocked more hot carrots at their salsa bar and then I'd be in heaven.

  • Rhoanda M.

I love the fish burrito and the shrimp burrito. The street tacos are also very yummy!

Seafood Tacos y Burritos! This Rubio's is big, clean, super friendly, and well run. I tried both their new Chili Lime Salmon and Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos and really enjoyed their juicy/spicy goodness. I left with sauce on my shirt and a smile on my face. Then I went to the cleaners to remove them both. I'll be back!

  • Christine S.

I'm usually only here when the lobster burrito is on the menu. I can't get enough of that burrito! But, I don't like that everything on the menu with sauce comes DRENCHED in sauce. Usually, I'm afraid to try seafood in "fast food" restaurants unless it's fried, but it's not so bad here. Definitely doesn't have a fishy smell or taste to it which is a definite plus!

forget the food, (which is so bland and tasteless) but any salsa bar like this---a complete joke doesnt deserve accolades. Rubios, put an employee in deep cover and go stake out baja fresh see what a salsa bar should look like. I actually like my salsas not to taste like medicines in my bathroom cabinet thank you

Came here today with my friend Ruben, he had the Gourmet Taco's, I had the Big Burrito Especial, carnitas style and was it delicious! I love this place for lunch, good looking people everywhere, I will be back.

I love Rubio's. This is my location of choice since it's so close to my house. All the times I've been here, it's never been crowded. The employees are friendly. The food, of course, is fantastic and my son loves that Dori from "Finding Nemo" swims there in the fish tank.

I was initially lured in by the $1.50 tacos every Tuesday after 3:30. I stayed for the food and service. These tacos are the best bang for your buck. They are so delicious. If you come while it's busy, you might have to wait a while, but they come out pretty quickly. You know that these little guys are made fresh. The fish is so crispy on the outside and doesn't get soggy too easily. I can easily scarf down 6 of them if I'm super hungry, but usually 3 or 4 fill me up fine. I've also tried the burrito version of a fish taco and it was sooooo good too! However, I can't resist getting the little tacos. It's such a steal! There's also a salsa bar, and the spicy dark red salsa is my favorite! The green tomatillo salsa pairs just as well with the tacos. The salsa bar also comes with pickled jalapenos (which aren't really spicy) and a cilantro onion mix. A tiny slice of lime comes out with eat taco. The service is great. The first time I came, the owner (or manager) was really friendly and patient with us. I think his name was Al, but I could be mistaken (it was a while ago.) He guided us through the menu and was really helpful. The people who work here are patient and friendly as well.

  • Aram T.

Love this place! They use fresh ingredients that taste much better than other "fast food" Mexican chains. Also serve a couple of different type of Mexican beers. Very underrated... give it a shot! Can't wait to go back..

I like this place been coming here for a while, love their seasonal fish tacos. You have to try them. The staff is friendly the manager Juan, is very patient, and will explain anything if you have any questions. The only down to this place is they do not have a combination where there's a drink included, it kinda sad for the price they should.

  • A S.

Good food. The chicken is extremely tasty. They have $2.50 taco Tuesdays. They just introduced mahi tacos for $2. The food is good but not filling. Small portions. I wanted to substitute my rice in the mahi bowl for extra veggies and they charged me $1.50 but the salsa sized portion of veggies. It was ridiculously small. But nevertheless delicious. So basically really good food but more expensive then sharkys or similar stores

I think this has to be at the minimum my 10th review of a Rubios. Whenever I'm on the road this is my go to spot, I always get the balsamic and veggie salad bowl with mahi mahi and it tastes fabulous, it's healthy, low in calorie and high in protein, perfect for someone on the go and out of town! The staff here were more than friendly. I actually had a nice conversation with who I believe was the Mgr as he noticed I was using my "Genius" app to take a picture of my receipt for my expense reports for work. Funny how a silly thing like that can start up a great conversation with someone. But this location is clean, in a nice shopping center, the food is fresh, the staff is nice and the salsa bar is organized and clean!

  • Spartak K.

If you have the craving for fish, then you have to try this place. The fish tacos are the best and fresh. Usually when you go to a fish serving restaurant you the place smells like fish and some times that smell is just enough for you to lose your appetite. But this place was not packed on a Tuesday lunch time and service was fast. Will most defiantly eat here again. Try the shrimp with bacon burrito. The herbs on the shrimp were just amazing. They also have beer if your in the mood for it.

  • Anthony S.

Good tasting fish tacos. The only problem I had is the tortilla's where at room temperature. I like the tortilla's hot Next time i'll have them put them on the grill. The location was clean and the salsa bar was also clean. However check the mens restroom, needed some attention.

I really like Rubios. The food is delicious and the the customer experience there is always great. Employees are very nice and welcoming. Especially at this Northridge location. I've been coming here for a few years now. I highly recommend the Chicken Gourmet Taco plate. Those tacos are very good!

  • Kevin K.

For a "chain," this place is amazing. I've had the fish tacos and the fish burritos before and they both tasted great. The food here is consistently excellent. Service here has been friendly and attentive each time I've been here. The food always came out quickly after I ordered and the staff is really friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

  • Vanessa K.

This is my absolute favorite place to eat!! Everything is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of seating for a group. The grilled gourmet shrimp tacos are to die for. I also love the blackened mahi burrito. The quality of this food is more like an expensive sit down full service restaurant but at half the price. Everyone that I take here becomes a fan.

Had a great experience at Rubios. Great service. The lady working there (JESSICA) was so enthusiastic about being there. She offered to clean our tables and did it with a smile. She was so hard working, rushing from table to table. She is a great role model for any team. Food was amazing too!

Came in on a Tuesday after 2pm. $1.50 fish tacos! Have a few, take some salsa and a container of onions/coriander to go. Make yourself some scrambled eggs with their salsa in the morning. 2 for 1 meals. Can't beat that!

    (5)
  • Manjot S.

Taco Tuesday is my favorite day of the week because of rubios. The tacos are only $1.50! The lady at the register was so sweet! The burritos are even better. I can't wait till next week

    (5)
  • Mark R.

We always go here for fish tacos tuesdays! 1.50 can't beat that with a bat! We order a side of chips and guacamole Fast service and friendly staff. Place is clean and it's situated in a good area along with a supermarket.

  • Meg A.

Best fish tacos! Love coming here on Tuesday's when they have specials! $1.50 for a fish taco! No one can beat that. I like their burritos too, on a different day of course.

The best: fish tacos, burritos, deal, cleanliness in the valley. I probably always give it 5 stars so why do I keep updating it?

    (5)
  • Stacey K.

First off I want to say that the nicest people work here. Everyone from the front counter people, the manager and the folks in the back smile and that is nice. We have been coming to this location at least once a week for the past eight months. We take a class close by. I like the variety of options including healthy salads and grilled fish. The tacos can't be beat either. I do wish they had crispy shrimp tacos however the original fish taco is very tasty. The beans and chips are fresh and hit the spot. The salsa bar is always clean and full. I anticipate many more visits before our school program is over.

I was going to Rubios for years, often for lunch on my way to work. It is normally great. That being said, my big criticism is their customer service. Whenever you eat tilapia it is at your own risk, which I understand. One day, I had the combo with one taco, and it tasted fine. I went to work, and had the worst stomach pains of my entire life. I work on my feet as a cashier in a grocery store, and about 45 after going on register, I literally passed out and collapsed while in the middle of a transaction with a pair of customers. I saw 3 MDs after this (one for workers comp, another PMD, and a specialist). They said it could have been the tilapia. I told my story to one of the managers here, and she basically just said it was impossible to get sick from their food. I honestly doubt this is the case, but rather than start an argument, I'll just write this Yelp review. They'd have 3 or 4 stars if their customer service was better.

    (2)
  • Artemis D.

AVOID this location if you can. The manager is rude, they act like they are doing you a favor by having you as a customer. I WAS a regular customer, so he (the manager) said he remembers me, but I guess if they remember you that is code for bad service. I will never go back. They can keep their $1.50 tacos. This particular location is cheap on ingredients and hiring. My great day turned into a bad one, thanks to them. Oh, and if you receive any promos in your email, don't even bother trying to use them here. They make you feel bad for trying to save a buck. Why even email me if your company policy is disrespect? Wahoo's, here I come!

    O. M. G. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe what I have been missing out on for years. Just moved to Northridge a month ago and finally gave Rubio's a shot- best freakin burritos/tacos I've ever had- EVERRRRR- I'm definitely a regular now and I LOVE takin my doggy with me to chill on the patio (as long as no one brings an A-hole dog to sit there and growl and be aggressive towards my sweet, gentle dog. If your dog doesn't know how to behave around other dogs in public... Be respectful to others and LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME! Or take it to Caesar Milan first please). BUT, if you run into a problem pooch you can always request the restaurant ask that customer to leave if they can't control their dog and they will! *oh, unfortunately for them they have the worst freakin parking lot EVER so park on the roof deck, for real

    (5)
  • Marcos F.

Ok but not the best the shrimp look way bigger in their adds lol but the tacos were pretty good wife got a burrito wasn't to exited for it salsa bar is good not bad tho for a fast food place

  • Al T.

Always great. Staff very friendly - I'm not knocking them down for this but this is the 3rd or 4th time I've been in there and no one has been on the front cashier, and I had to wait for someone to emerge. I ordered the Burrito Especial with chicken, but they ended up giving me the Health Mex one. I can't complain though, as it has fewer calories. I didn't realize the error until I was already gone. The birthday club rocks - nice to get $7 worth of free food on your birthday. All similar restaurants should offer the same thing. After a rotten dining experience in Poquito Mas (actually, one of many bad ones) a few days earlier, I was glad to go to Rubios and get Poquito Mas out of my mind. Or try to.

    (5)
  • Chris S.

We used to love this place and frequented it often for lunch during the week. However, over the last few years the quality has decreased and they've begun to charge for more and more. For example, we purchase the large $5 guacamole and they want to charge us extra for chips to dip in it. The customer service here is always good and the salsa bar is good too, as is the guacamole. Meanwhile, the quality of the burritos has gone down. The last three times we ordered the blackened fish (in a burrito) the fish was way overcooked, dry and nearly beef jerky like. Prior, it was awesome. Still Rubio's isn't bad by any means. However, the quality has gone down and the food is a step down from nearby Poquito Mas.

  • Epic View T.

Had a delicious blackened tilapia fish taco today! A nice spicy bite. That was incredible....I had to take a 2nd look at where I was eating because this wasn't fast food quality! Way to go! The service was great too. The crew followed up asking if all was ok or if I needed anything else. Impressed.

  • Wayne G.

I am sad to say that I have upgraded to bigger and better fish tacos but Rubio's Northridge was the main place for fish tacos for me. The original fish tacos are decently portioned and the combination of cabbage and white sauce is always satisfying. When the season comes, their lobster burrito is the business. Last but not least, fish taco tuesday come in real handy.

  • Sonia D.

Best fish taco in the area! Always fresh and consistent! Chips are especially good when they toast them a little more. Only draw back is parking!

I like sharkys better because they have more wild fish options. But sometimes when I am far away from them this place will do. I think they taste better then Baja Fresh.

  • Karina R.

First time here with my boyfriend today. We both loved it. They have a variety of salsas & their enchiladas were amazing. We were very impressed with their quality in food and taste of it. Also, their customer service was awesome. We were greeted with smiles and Derrick(employee) was very nice with helping us in making the right choice as first timers. We also got a complimentary fish taco and it was so delicious! We will definitely be coming here again! Thank you Derrick for making our first time a great experience.

  • John C.

I love the food just wish service was better. Guest relations is key why lack it!? The gourmet tacos are the best and that's one of the reasons why I stop in. They also serve alcohol and have sangria! Price is not bad for food would recommend stopping here just don't expect that good feel ambiance from employees. Out side seating is a plus.

Rubios. is rubios..nothing fancy nothing over the top except for good fish tacos... What comes to mind when I think of Rubio's is a clean joint to eat some fish tacos and an occasional burrito. Well this place was clean but had that odd scent in the air of rotten cheese and the salsa bar was not the typical clean and well stocked that i have come to expect. It was later in the day on a weekend about 6pm, but I have been to several locations close to closing time and standards were very up to par. Salsa bar was lacking salsa and it didnt look like they were going to replace it anytime soon. Service was okay.. i have been to several were it was top notch and delivered a truly genuine effort.. One last thing was a customer was eating her salad and noticed she only got no avocado as it was pictured in the banner (of course they only pictured 4 slivers, I thinkg she wanted like half an avocado). She went up to the counter and asked them and they told the cook he forgot and then this is were service took a dive for this customer. She waited at the counter for 3 minute... not 3 minutes is not a ling time but when you are waiting with your salad in had while your table is chowing away this seems like a life time... And it only takes 30 seconds to slice a couple of slivers... finally cook cut them and put them on the counter that separates the kitchen from customer counter. It sat there for a few seconds until customer walked to the back and got it herself....kind of funny though... of course she muttered to her husband she waited all this time for 4 slivers....yea they could of given her a little more for forgetting about it ...but the picture clearly only shows 4 small slivers.. Oh well I have been here before many times so maybe this is just a one off. plus 1.50 fish tacos on tuesday after 230pm is hard to pass up

TACO TUESDAY If you are looking to score the $1.50 fish tacos on Taco Tuesday, note it begins at 2:30 p.m. I like the Baja pictures inside.

    (4)
  • Cheryl N.

FISH TACOS, need I say more? $1.50 Fish Taco Tuesdays. It's busy but worth the wait. Prices are reasonable, establishment is clean, service is good. No complaints here. I only wish there were locations near me.

  • Kev K.

The food is really good they have deliciousness plates and the workers are really nice and friendly BUT what makes me give them 3 stars is because they allow to superking workers to camp in there they just yell it's gets really annoying

  • Kelliann G.

Hubby and I were both off on Tuesday night, so we decided on getting some tacos for taco Tuesday! We were going to Super King anyway, so we figured why not? I was worried after reading about the horrendous wait, but honestly I thought it was about right. After washing my hands and getting salsa, it was just a couple of minutes until the food came, so it worked out pretty well I think. The fish tacos are a surprisingly good size! Hubby and I ordered 4 and very left full. They're fantastic with onions and lots of lime! I did find the guacamole and chips disappointing, though. The chips were chips... Maybe could have used some salt, but that's no biggie. The guacamole had no flavor really... It tasted like they had just mashed up an avocado without mixing anything else in with it... For some good, cheap tacos on a Tuesday, I say go for it! :)

5 if they would have had chips. I expect chips when I eat Mexican food. Great Mahi Mahi tacos.

I am now obsessed with their Gourmet Chicken Taco... The staff was friendly and the order was taken and delivered quickly. I actually crave their chicken and chipotle ranch sauce!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Shirley D.

This place was solid. I ordered a shrimp burrito and it definitely tasted pretty good. I wish they would have mixed the ingredients together before they wrapped it. I had rice on one side of my burrito and shrimp/salsa on the other, so it kinda sucked that all the flavors weren't mixed together. The staff there were really friendly. I called in my order 5 minutes before I got there and I still managed to wait 10 minutes for my food once I got there...not sure why. Apart from that, everything was yummy.

    (3)
  • Tanya C.

I came here for $1.50 fish tacos with my parents. The tacos were pretty good through it could use more white sauce. Also it takes a very long time to get your food since it is so busy.... Salsa is just okay, though it doesn't appear to be very fresh.

    (3)
  • V S.

One of my favorite! My husband and I come here weekly. I always get grilled salmon tacos on flour tortillas. So yum. Always happy to come. Service is great also!

  • Chloé M.

RUBIOOOO'S!!!!!!! This just might be my favorite fast food Mexican restaurant because we all know that Taco Bell doesn't even classify or count really. Anyways, I love their tacos especially their fish tacos particularly their Mango Habanero Mahi Mahi Tacos can you say YUM!!! Those tacos are just on point must be the island girl in me and we love our mangos because that mango salsa is delish!!!! Ummm yeah, that is all :D !!! Now I need to go stuff my mouth with some tacos!

  • Martin C.

Loved going to this place for taco tuesday. If you haven't been here for taco tuesday you are missing out! Hint: It does get crowded at night with a younger environment. Tacos are only 1.25 each and I usually eat 4 and I am a small kid, so they aren't as filling individually, but you will enjoy it so much you will just want MORE AND MORE! The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because I had to wait 15 minutes exactly just for my order, and I didn't appreciate that. It really shouldn't have taken so long for the amount of people that were there at the time. Other then that, TACO TUESDAY! Yes!

Long story short, I ended up here on accident. I'm glad I did because I had some of the best customer service that I've experienced in far too long. I asked Ayala Martinez, the woman behind the counter, what my options were as a vegetarian. With no hesitation, she educated me. I'll be honest, I wasn't trying to spend almost $10 on lunch, but at this point, I didn't have time or an option. I ordered the Portobello & Pablano (peppers) tacos. Ayala was quick to point out that it comes with cheese and Rubio's sauce (dairy based). Impressive and appreciated. She also explained that neither the black nor the pinto beans have any animal products: The rice is not made with any kind of stock, only tomato sauce. She gave me all of this information without my having to ask. MORE than appreciated initiative! She sold me on an $8.69 meal and made me feel comfortable whilst doing so. The entree was pretty good, I can't complain. Maybe not worth almost $9 considering the portions, but the service and lack of worry I had eating it was well worth it. * I have to point out that the salsa bar was exceptionally maintained. Not one sprig of cilantro was out of place, not a drop of salsa spilled!

    (4)
  • Christian D.

Good food. That's about all. I had a burrito and they forgot to give me guac with my chips even though I paid for it. It's fine if you're pretty hungry, but I definitely know better Mexican food places.

  • Dave L.

Horrible I mean horrible food. Chicken had the worst smell and tasted like it came out of can, tortilla was like eating a rubber tire. Soggy, bland burritos. Never again my amigos, never again. Seriously. I can't believe they serve this crap on a plate, and ask how is everything?

    (1)
  • Zan O.

A really good idea with their $1.50 fish tacos. Its only on Tuesday nights but so worth it. A big enough crowd of people. Not too expensive. Omg did I mention they serve beer too.

  • Jim G.

I haven't been to Rubio's since they had their $1 fish tacos special. I ate 6 that day, not a good idea. Not that they were bad, i just went over what a normal human should consume in a yearly period. 7 years later I thought it would be time to give them a shot again. I went with the two taco combo. The fish tacos were as good as I remember, although I do enjoy the version at Sharky's that isn't fried a bit more. The service was surprising great and really friendly. It was really clean and management seemed really on top of everything.

    (4)
  • Joel L.

Terrible service!!! Took about 17 minutes to get my food and it was cold. The person I was with ordered before me and had her food in 5 minutes. People were ordering after me were delivered and done when I got my cold food. Britt the manager didnt seem to care except when she saw me writing this review, then I got a meal coupon. I won't be back and needless to say I left without dinner and still hungry.

I'd spent the bulk of my adult life in San Diego (home of Rubio's and the fish taco) and had been to Rubio's dozens and dozens of times when I lived down there. After moving to LA four years ago I completely forgot about Rubio's until a friend of mine took me here last week, and damn, I forgot what I was missing! I had two Taco Especials and one of the new mango salsa-topped fish tacos. All were prepared fresh and tasted excellent. The salsas were very good, but the sides of rice and beans were lacking, particularly the rice. At the end of the day their fish tacos rock, and that's what you should come here for, IMHO. I'll be back soon!

Friendly staff, very clean, u get ur food quick even if there is a line n the best part is its made fresh w/o mistakes. There r 2 men who seem to b the managers at this spot n they r on point. They walk over ur meal n r happy to serve u. Definitely a spot I will return to!

I first tried them when I was on a road trip and had no other options. I fell in love with their fish tacos. I then searched for locations near my house and found this one in Northridge. It looks cleaner and nicer than the one I went to the first time. The fish tacos and spicy shrimp tacos are to die for. I love their food and they have beer which is a BIG PLUS! I go have my beer and tacos, then watch a movie next door. Life is good :)

2.5 to be exact, but rounding up for their SUPER FRIENDLY employees that work there! High 5 to Mr. Sanchez for being so courteous and HAPPY! ('',) On my way home from work.....yet another detour, thanks to Rubio's radio ad---marketing their new Chile Lime Salmon Burritos. I used to frequent here during my CSUN days--especially when they had their $1 fish taco specials (yes, waaaaaaay back in the days! haha). Since then, they now offer 2 choices for the tortillas: corn or flour. I chose flour for both of my tacos because I didn't like the smell of the corn tortillas back then ---take a good sniff and tell me it doesn't smell like comet or some strong cleaning detergent. Not sure about now though! I should've tried one to confirm. oops! Oh yeah, and the flour tortillas did NOT go well with the fried fish or salmon tacos. boo! =( -- Salmon Burrito ($7.59 + 75 cents for extra cheese): daaaaaaamn, $8 dollas for 2 pcs of wrapped salmon? uhhh..i think NOT! It was good, BUT definitely not for that price! The burrito was really small. Brother bear had to find something else to fill him up after killing his burrito in less than a few bites. At least make it $5.99 as a promo price---that way curious ppl like me who want to try the new item(s) won't feel ripped off afterwards. yikes. -- Salmon Tacos($3.79): good, but not great. I like how they throw in a lot of corn in there. -- World Famous Fish Tacos($2.29): 2 thumbs DOWN. It was mushy, small, and not as tasty as they were when I used to be a Rubio's addict! p.s. Ricky's Fish Tacos----you have SPOILED ME w/ your super crispy, super huge, and super delicious hand battered fish tacos!!!!! I'm drooooling---just thinking about them! =P EDIT: darn---look what i found online! A coupon! I won't be using this anytime soon, but maybe YOU will! Print this out: assets.fbmta.com/clt/rub…

I Love the Northridge Rubios restaurant. The staff is always pleasant and eager to help. Whenever I come in for a takeout and or dine in experience, I place my order, take a seat and wait for my number to be called, but, to my surprise, the staff goes over and beyond the call of duty and bring my food to me, with a smile. The food is always temperature perfect and very pleasing to the palette.

Ehh it's ok not a fan of places like this. I prefer eating from an actual Mexican restaurant. I work around here eaten there a few times and nothing special

I normally get the steak burritos or tacos, and i must say, Rubios has got some of the best stuff around, they dont over fill you with rice, you get a great amount of meat, and the taste is to die for, almost feel bad for eating something soo good.

I used to work in Northridge and would eat here all the time! Food is amazing! The Grilled Veggie burritos are the best I've ever had and the fish tacos can't be topped. And what a friendly staff! Great service!

Love the fish tacos! I used to come here to get the $1 fish tacos, not sure if they still have that going but it was worth the drive. So fresh and delicious! I really dig the white sauce they use and the fish is always flavorful and crispy. I've had other fish tacos at other places but these always beat the rest. Not sure what they use but they are addicting. I have only had the fish tacos but I've heard the burritos are also good. I love their different sauces at the salsa bar. I do hope they open one closer to Woodland Hills. Customer service is friendly and fast. Parking is can get a little hectic but usually find something fast.

After taking a hiatus from Rubio's Mex Grill I forgot how the food can be good or so so. I like the healthier menu items which are tasty but low in calories. I would recommend the HealthMex Grilled Ono Burrito which comes wrapped in a whole grain tortilla. The staff was helpful and professional. They are stingy with their chips so ask for a double helping. The other cool thing about this chain restaurant is they serve ice cold beer!

I've always loved Rubio's! Their pesky combo is my favorite; two fish taco's with a little guacamole. The rest of the menu is great as well and it is a welcome change of pace from a sandwich for lunch. David

I was never a fan of fish, nor tacos, until I moved to California. Now, I don't know what I'd do without the two put together. Put simply, I think Rubios succeeds for same reason as In-N-Out; keep it simple, find one thing that you do well, and focus on that. I've only gone to this particular location, but the staff are always friendly or at least competent, and the fish tacos are great. I particularly like the portion control that comes with their taco plates.

I absolutely love when Rubio's presents featured menu items, such as the Langostino Burrito. The blend of ingredients make it a delicious meal!! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Always a good dining experience!!

I go here every so often to get a nice change from burger and cheap taco places. Decent quality food. I like that they let you substitute items in burritos, and they seem very customer-friendly.

I heart their damn Shirmp Mesquite Taco's.... zomgness. Usually every Friday or every other Friday my co-workers and my boss hit up this place mob status. I usually take everyones orders and go with my boss and order ahead of time. This place gets hecka packed exactly at 12:05PM on Fridays people! So if you want to come here for lunch; sneak off 10 minutes before 12PM and get your ass in here. I can never complain about their food cause everything is just so damn good; especially their ever so lasting ever so addicting chips.. *droOooOllzzz Oh and they actually sell the chips in a HUGE DOGGY BAG!! Just make sure you explain carefully that you want the BIG DOGGY BAG OF CHIPS cause the people in the register can be a little.. just a little slow.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
