Ordered from this place through the Eat24 app and they totally screwed up our order. I ordered "The Works" pizza and asked for pepperoni, sausage, salami, prosciutto, artichoke, mushroom, tomato, basil, green olives and greek olives AND paid $1.75 extra for extra prosciutto. They did not put ANY artichoke at all and the prosciutto was a tiny little bit. We've ordered from here many many times before and they don't totally screw up your order or try to short you but this place has really changed from a few months ago. They have become cheap, really cheap! Never ordering from here again. There are tons of really good pizza places, why pay $30 for a pizza that they totally screw you on!

A good fix for pizza lovers. Great for parties as they probably serve the biggest pizza I've seen. Bigger than Pizza Loca's La Gigante. My fav is the Pesto pizza with added shrimp. The combination of the Mozzarella cheese, pesto, and jump shrimp is a winner. This location is very small so it is not ideal for a party of more than 4 to sit down and enjoy their pizza. Luckily for me, a friend lives near by and delivery is available. =)

This place is great! They actually make the giant slices by the order, so you can design whatever concoction of doughy, cheesy goodness your heart desires! The wait time for the pizza is about 5-minutes, but it's well worth it! I haven't tried any of their other dishes...just the HUGE slices. :-) I highly recommend this place!

Horrible customer service. After waiting for 25 min for a slice of pizza, they didn't even apologize. Got my $$ back and went to Giuseppe's down the street....LOVED IT much better choice!!!

I'd love to be able to judge the food, but I was never given the chance. Last night (9/8/12) we called placed an order, and waited. After way too long, we called back to find out that they determined at some point after they had us hold so that they could confirm that they did indeed deliver to us, and after they proceeded to take our order, that they did not actually deliver to us. We also learned that there was actually no food even made for us to pick up. When we were expressing how frustrating this situation was, considering we had 10 hungry people to feed, and had been thinking that our food would be here any minute, we were asked to wait... only to be hung up on. The young male gentleman on the phone (wish we could remember his name) that was answering the phone at approximately 6:45pm on this night was apparently the same one who answered the phone when we called back. I asked him if I could speak to a manager, and I was again placed on hold for more than 5 minutes before I gave up. This place have proved to be nothing but a big pain in the butt - taking orders but not letting you know that they had no intention of making the food or making any delivery to you.

Very disappointing. Moved to the area recently & really want to find a great local pizza joint. Well, Big Mam's & Papa's won't be it. Ordered the cheese lovers pizza, which looked delicious. It was anything but. Utterly bland! I don't know how they accomplished that with so much cheese. I only managed to eat one slice out of sheer hunger. My cat wouldn't even eat it. Tossed the rest in the garbage.

OK, new favorite pizza place! This is a new (to me, at least) chain of pizza restaurants. They also make a variety of sandwiches. This was my first time trying them and I was happily surprised with how good the pizza is! I ordered their Deluxe Pizza (homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, red onions, black olives, green peppers, and sausage.) Yummy! The toppings were generous. The crust was nicely cooked and gently burnt on the edges. The tomato sauce tasted good too; not too sweet. I ordered online and picked up the pizza. I got to the restaurant about 20 minutes after I ordered and my pizza was waiting for me. You can include your credit card with the online order but they don't charge the card until you pickup the pizza. Here's their menu: bit.ly/HoD2bm I liked the whole experience a lot and look forward to coming back for more!

Foods always good but the service is terrible. I always find it incredibly difficult to get them to understand what I'm saying. The delivery people are usually rude. It just seems like they're completely employed by foreigners completely new to the country that just learned English.

Tried it for the first time. I got the Aro Pizza, which is thin crust and it was great. The crust was not the cracker crust you get with a lot of thin crust pizzas. There was still substance to crust. Pep, Bacon, mush, onion, pepperoncine, dammit, I don't know how to spell that...spicy peppers. Tasty pie. Delivered in 35 min. Just a bit to greasy for my taste and I asked for light cheese and got a normal amount or else it gets a five.

Don't get the pizza unless ur dining in! Even if you are dining in, get the hot wings, they're AMAZING!!!!!! Who knew? Ill only go back for the hot wings which is never something you go to a pizza spot for. It's crispy and hot and flavorful, kinda expensive though, but who cares!!!!!! I would give it 5 stars if the pizza to go was also good, dining in pizza was hot and flavorful, but that's the secret, you have to eat it fresh.

(Dined 06/11/11 SA) Ordered "The Works" XL pizza and onion rings by phone for take-out. I like to fancy myself an onion ring connoisseur, and unfortunately, theirs was memorable but for the wrong reasons. There was no crunch to them and they were more oily than I would have liked. On a brighter note, the pizza was tasty and you can order up to 10 toppings for $23.99. The toppings tasted fresh, the crust was decent, but I would have liked the pizza to be a bit thicker. This proved to be the best value of all XL specialty pizzas on their menu, where the average price was around $21.99 for about five toppings. However, the value for me just wasn't there. Although the pizza was good, I would have been just as satisfied with a Costco supreme XL pizza for $9.95...the best bargain in town, in my honest opinion. I would recommend this establishment at least to try it, but if their pizza prices came down several dollars, I would highly recommend them. All of us have made our own pizza at home before, and we know how much it costs (which is rather cheap).

Biggest slice of pizza I've ever had/seen. I'm more of a thin slice pizza kinda girl, so if you're like me, this place is perfect for that. =] Portion to Price: good. Service: fast. The reason for knocking two stars is because although their thin slices are great and huge, they lack that "FUCK YEAH!" factor in taste.

    (3)
  • Donna R.

ewww. I have had their pizza previously and it was pretty good. Tonight we ordered two pizzas. One vegetarian and one custom. Skimpy skimpy toppings and one was burnt. Won't do that again!

  • Pixie G.

Really not good pizza. The dough is too chewy and insipid and the flavors just boring. Yeah, the slices are big, but not big enough for the $6 or so. Perhaps I'm just too much of a pizza snob considering I've had really great pizza in L.A. Guidos down the street is much better, although their pizza is still not the best in L.A.

  • Alice Y.

Why does this place have such bad reviews? I came to rave about their super thin pizzas. $3.99 gets you a HUGEMONGOUS slice of pizza that's thin, freshly oven baked (I think), and oh-so-delicious. $4.99 gets you that same pizza with a soda. Prices for pizzas by the pan are steeper than other places, but it's well worth it. I've had the BBQ Chicken pizza (~$18 for a small/medium size) from their Specialty menu and it was perfecto! I also got mozzarella cheese sticks, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's super expensive and doesn't taste much better than cheese sticks at Jack in the Box. It's a good place to grab a casual bite to eat and then you can go next door and get some froyo for dessert! :)

I am a very picky eater and usually make substitutions and special requests. Big Mama's and Papa's pizza has always been super accommodating and totally willing to cater to my wants. Today I asked if they had pickled or fresh jalapenos because I wanted fresh ones. They have pickled, but they assured me if there is every a topping that I like on pizza and I bring it in, they'll put it on for me! Awesome. Also I wanted deep friend onions rings on my pizza (the one with jalapenos) and while I could tell they thought it was a funny request, they did it for me, and even stopped to check after to make sure it was what I wanted and if I liked it. The pizza isn't the best pizza I have ever eaten, but it is pretty good, and the customer service is top notch!

FAB!! Ordering online was easy and quick. Couldn't believe that my pizza was delivered within 35-40 minutes. I ordered a 16" Deluxe pizza and requested no green peppers,...what did I get?...NO GREEN PEPPERS! YEAH!! The pie was delish and the "small" green salad I ordered was the size of Texas! My cottage is a little hard to find, so the driver called me and the moment I opened my front door, he saw me. He was extremely nice and professional. (What we all want when a stranger is coming to the door!) I visit the pizzeria once every few weeks, (gotta watch the waist line) to have a "slice". I thoroughly enjoy it and love that they have Tapatia hot sauce on the table for a little extra kick. I was so impressed I actually called Big Mommas to give kudos! Just so you know, a 16" pizza and the salad will be feeding me for several days...oh darn! (insert smiley face here!)

Im pretty happy about this place. My husband and I are mega pizza fans and really order it at least once a week. This place has always been great. They have salads and other things too that are pretty yummy so you don't just over gorge on pizza. And when my husband was told he had to go gluten free they even had a really decent gluten free pizza! I end up getting that now and he gets a regular one.

We've tried to eat here twice while walking down Honolulu and both times the four or five tables were packed. Which always made me think this place must be delicious! After having had it delivered twice now I realize it can't possibly be packed because people enjoy it. This pizza is awful! Pros: - You can order online. - Really fast delivery. Cons: - Bland pizza. Tasted like a frozen pizza! - Skimpy with the toppings! We ordered sausage and I think there was about 8 pieces of sausage. And if I tasted sausage I can't remember it. - I got sick. I had two slices of pizza and some of their antipasto salad. Not even two hours later I was living in our bathroom. Never again.

  • Katherine H.

We ordered plain cheese because we were in too much of a hurry to choose toppings. Thin, soggy, tasteless crust that fell apart as you tried to lift a slice of pizza, bland tomato sauce that tasted like oregano and not much else, a layer of cheese, and pools and pools of grease. It was pretty much inedible- I ate about 1.5 slices. Your average chain pizza place (there's a Dominos a couple blocks away) would give you a pizza with much better bread and much less grease. Their specialty pizzas looked interesting but after seeing how much they messed up the easiest pizza at all, very little chance I'll give it another try. Two stars rather than one because their fries were ok. (Not great.)

  • Jon M.

Good food and GREAT customer service goes a long way. I've been eating at Big Mama's for 3 years now, ever since they were up on Foothill. They moved to Montrose a few months ago and are better than ever. Don't get me wrong, the pizza isn't the best in the world, but it's solid. The wings are AMAZING. I am someone who orders from here about 3-4 times a month, so trust me when I say the customer service is always on-point. My order is never messed up, the manager Raymond and his drivers are always super friendly. Bottom Line: Consistency of food quality and customer service over the years earn this location a 5 star rating. They've got great coupons, so go online to find the deals. If you're in the area, I GUARANTEE there isn't a better pizza place within delivery radius.

  • Vania S.

Honestly I think they should change their marketing from quantity to quality. They rave about having the biggest pizza but how about having the best quality pizza.

  • Stephanie L.

The pizza is greasy and huge..more like glutenous. But really it was the guy at the register. Either he hates his job or something about me pissed him off from hello. He was so rude. I'm pretty forgiving of a lot of factors, but rudeness = no more business from me. I won't be returning.

My family ordered takeout from this newish location in Montrose recently. I'm not a fan of Domino's, and the nearby Pizza Hut recently closed so I was looking for a new pizza place that is not as far away as my old standby in La Canada, Georgee's. I've never actually eaten AT the Big Mama's and Papa's, so I can't say what the dining experience is like. We checked out their menu online before calling, and they have a lot of specialty pizza choices. They can also make any pizza into a calzone, which I just might have to try next time. We ordered the vegetarian, the meat lover, and the BBQ chicken. I didn't try the meat lover, but the others were tasty. Crusts and sauce are my two criteria for pizza judging, and Big Mama's scored well on both. Minus one star because I thought the prices were a little high for the specialty pizzas. It looks like their prices are better for the regular pizzas where you pick individual toppings to add. P.S. if eggs on pizza sound good to you, check out their "gondola pizzas" with eggs on top. Eeek!

This is our second time getting delivery, and we LOVED our food! We got the 2 egg gondola, omg who thinks of these things? Delicious. We also got a side of meatballs, also very tasty. And super fast delivery. Excited to eat here again.

  • Greg H.

I'm a bit torn here...the fresh made Pizza is good, but the pizza by the slice is horrible! Hated to write a bad review, but the pizza here is ok and bad! If you don't want to wait for Dominoes then try this place, but if you want great Pizza...look elsewhere!

  • kyle d.

I was attending classes at the school Across the street and would go there occasionally on my break. The wait was always long, but the last two times it seems they took my order and then forgot to make my slice of pizza. Not only did it take them around 30 min to give me the slice I ordered but several other people who had placed their orders after me became irate due to the extreme wait times. One man demanded his money back as he no longer had time to eat his food. One woman was complaining because the man who took her order said it would only take five minutes to make her slice and it ended up being closer to 20. The guy who works the counter most of the time has no business being up there as he has great difficulties communicating with customers. All in all, this place is a joke. Not the worst pizza in the world but it is being run by people who are totally incompetent.

  • Kris A.

The pizza is good made to order the house salad is pretty much lettuce with a couple thin slices of onions , tomato, and a few garbanzo beans

  • Will T.

Not ordering from this place again. I decided to order pizza online since there's nothing to eat at home and I was also on a tight schedule. I waited thirty minutes for the food to come until I call them to only see that they didn't even get the order. So, I order the food online. By this point, I was extremely hungry and extremely irritated. Do you want to know how long the food takes to come? It took them an hour an a half. Not only did they screw up with my order, they also screwed up with the billing. I was charged twice on my credit card. This wasn't the first time, or the second time they screwed up. One time, the said they ran out ingredients for pizza, so they gave me completely different and still charged me for full price. What the hell? I really hope the owner of this pizzeria sees this and tries to make up for this, because I already wrote to you guys and still got nothing. Horrible. Just horrible.

This place is awesome! I don't understand why everyone else doesn't give this place a 5star. Huge slices, crunchy crust, delicious toppings. The deluxe slice pizza is fantastic. I love this place!

Oh My GOSH! BEWARE!!!! I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza to go. While I was waiting for my slice (already 5 minutes have passed), I watched the cashier walk to the pizza oven and take out four garlic bread slices. One fell on the floor...and I watched him like a hawk to see what he would do. My worst nightmare happened...he kicked the slice to the side of the mini fridge door, opened the door, picked up the slice with his hand (remember, he's the cashier who handles cash), and shoved it back into the oven! WHAT THE F!!!!! I had a sudden urge to up heave. I guess he thought he was being clever and discreet. When I demanded my money back and refused my slice of pizza, he denied denied denied what he did. I couldn't believe it. He ended up giving my money back because I started lecturing him about sanitary practices in a restaurant should practice and I started speaking louder because I wanted everyone to hear what he did. If you don't mind a little bit of nasty kitchen floor baked into your food, eat here. I'm sure baking the food that fell on the floor is sanitized by re baking it. NOT! They should be shut down.

Customer Service! I have been there three times recently and I have been impressed each time with how service-oriented they are. They are friendly and go out of their way to get you what you ask for. Example: I ordered a small pizza and a coke for delivery. That's a measly $10?! A while later, about 20 minutes, I called to ask if they would mind throwing in some ranch. The gentleman on the phone said the delivery guy had left but he'd just left so he would call him back to pick it up for me. I was VERY impressed by this. They also have gluten-free pizza that my husband loves. Great place!! I tell everyone about it.

  • Melani A.

I have to agree with one of the reviews below. The pizza was bland. The sauce, the crust - all of it - completely flavorless :( There was one guy working there, who might actually own or manage the place, I don't know for sure - he was really very nice and friendly. But as much as I want to support this place since it is in my neighborhood and I really want good pizza in my neighborhood - I don't think I can go back until I hear good things about how the pizza tastes. One positive note - it's ALOT of food, so if you're hungry, you can't go wrong here.

    (2)
  • Marz G.

I don't like posting this negative a review but my experience at this restaurant calls for it. Do not go to this location! They don't understand even the simplest instructions when you order a pizza. Once I finally got my pizza, it had the bare minimum on it to qualify as a topping. Too much trouble for a mediocre pizza when there are so many other choices in the area.

    (1)
  • Bob L.

I've been here twice since it opened. Pizza was the same both times. Very thin crispy crust but aside from the crust there's not much that is noteworthy. It's flavorless boring pizza. I've had a lot better. The service wasn't exactly warm and fuzzy. Borderline rude, but frankly if the pizza tasted better I wouldn't care. This chain's claim to fame is making enormous pizzas. Now that should raise your radar if what you want is quality food. Any place that advertises quantity so boldly is probably skipping everything necessary to do quality. There's a picture of actor Greg Grunberg (Alias) on the wall...what's up with that? The bathroom is very clean. For pizza in this area: 1. Georgee's is solid. 2. LCI if you want a slice of cheap, oily pizza. 3. Round Table is fine (IMO) All three are better than this place. UPDATE: I recently tried 7 Stop Pizza which is further down the street (near Wells Fargo) on Honolulu next to Scott's and it is really, really good.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I ordered for my sons baseball game and they were late. I called and they said we need 10 more minutes. I said to forget it because the game was over!!! Poor little kids were hungry!!!

Really confused about the bad reviews. I've tried a lot of pizzas, and it certainly beats major chains. Pizza is fresh tasting and well balanced. Never had customer service issues.

This little pizza place opened up 2 days ago! Montrose was missing a pizza place that can serve by the slice and these guys come through big time! I haven't been to a Big Mamma's & Pappa's EVER and I was very surprised. Firstly the price was good value and they have every pizza available BY THE SLICE! I am normally used to only 3 choices so I was amazed of their offerings. Furthermore, their "slice" is actually 5 slices (for mortals). One of their slices should kill most people appetites! I was happy that they didn't attempt to say that they are NY Pizza or Chicago Pizza. I hate it when small joints claim that they brought NY to Los Angeles or some gimmick and typically fall short. This is just good pizza. I was also amazed the different variety of pizzas and sides. I went with the Meat Lovers pizza and it was tasty and flavorful and NOT greasy! Typically pizza places have a meaty pizza and usually that comes GREASY! They will be offering whole wheat pizza and gluten free. I am curious what they will taste like. If an when I do try it, I will let you know.

5 stars for their pizza. and 1 star for their service and business model. For my son's birthday party I ordered 36" thin crust 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 pineapple & ham (It was cheaper to order with 2 topppings than to order a hawaiian) for $58 and 24" regular crust 1/2 deluxe and 1/2 ARO for $38. My mom wanted me to get bunch of Costco pizza but it just doesn't have same presence like giant 36 inch and then there's taste too. Let's start with the good. Website kept saying the store is closed but I was able to navigate. I called the shop at 11am and the guy over the phone told me that I can do 1/2 and 1/2 for specialty pizza. Unfortunately there is not 1/2 and 1/2 option and needed to literally select the topping which will make it cost more. Fortunately I wrote under the comment to request 1/2 ARO and 1/2 deluxe which they honored. (Only internet orders you get free pizza after 7th and I want my free pizza) Pizza was huge with supposed 60 big rectangular pieces (I didn't count it but there was a lot and with kids I existing slices in 1/2 and there were plenty). Thin crust was very good. Deluxe was good and ARO pizza was awesome. Now the bad. First of all website just kept popping up "that location is currently closed" but I was able to work around it to set up my pre-order for following day. I was preoccupied with the party and realize it's been 20 minutes past delivery time and pizza was no where in sight. I called the shop and they promised me it'll be there in 3 minutes (it took them over 10 minutes). Delivery guy came and when I opened the pizza Hawaiian 1/2 was just a pineapple pizza with ham missing. Who the hell just eat pineapple pizza? By the time I notice delivery guy left. Called the shop but no apology just thank you and I'll be credited. And the website said free 2 liter for 1st internet order but that was not provided either. Once again I'll be credited for next time but no apology. No credit so far. If it wasn't for starving kid I would have returned the pizza and had them make me a new one. I requested that they refund the credit card for the topping but that has not happened yet. Luckily kids being kids, they were preoccupied with water slide jumper and swimming pool to notice delay in their lunch and did not notice ham missing in Hawaiian pizza. Conclusion: Don't let the delivery guy leave until you check your order. That'll at least give you some leverage. And call 15-20 minutes prior to make sure the pizza is on time. Heck I should've done with my gut feeling and just picked up the damn thing. So not I'm bit conflicted. Pizzas were very good. With other food in the party, everything single pieces were gobbled up. For 60 bucks for 36" with 60 big sliced that fed 30 kids, it's pretty good deal. and 24" specialty for $38 is still a great price for pizza that good (I know you can get cheaper pizza at Dominos but that's a really bad pizza). But almost 1/2 hour late in delivery with pre-order, messing up an internet order where everything is CLEARLY written, and no apologies just had bad business model written all over. I do still crave ARO pizza so I'll probably order that but will definitely pick it up and check the order.

In the charming district of Montrose, there's a little pizza shop called Big Mama's and the slices are HUGE. Caution beware: It all takes one to get full. The slice was cut into 5 pieces for convenient eating and boy was it satisfying. The sauce was spicy and piled with a healthy proportion of cheese. The crust was a bit doughy but overall the slice was delicious. Big Mamas offers gluten free pizza and a variety of toppings. If you're looking for something fun to do on the weekend, come to Montrose and grab a slice of Big Mama's.

We ended up in downtown Montrose by accident and picked Big Mama's & Papa's pizzeria because they had outside seating, and we had our dog with us. Firstly, their selection of pizzas was pretty wide, I would even say a little overwhelming. Secondly, the slice of pizza they serve IS equivalent to 4-5 slices of regular pizza, and they slice it up in a way that you can see it. My friend had a piece, and it was huge! But most importantly, their "gondola pizza" is actually Adjarian Khachapuri! It is a very popular dish in the country of Georgia I visited many times, and I never thought I would find anything even remotely close to this amazing food in Southern California! I was absolutely stoked! People who work there have Syrian Armenian roots, and they did confirm I had all the reasons to be joyful, because this indeed was the food I was so familiar with. They cooked it perfectly, too! The classic way is to have it with just the cheese and the eggs, but they have other toppings to go with it if you like. Give it a try - it is seriously good!

First of all, I walk in for the first time with my 8 year old son, and we have no idea how large are the slices. We order two slices each. The person taking the order did not bother to explain that the slice is as large as it is and that my young child most likely would not even finish 1. We ended up having to take the 2nd slices home. Second, they burn the tip of the slice. The best part cannot be eaten! Third, the cheese is bland. Not even pepper would help it. Forth, the crust is too thick and it was not cooked all the way. Very disappointing experience.

I recommend the chicken wings and pizza. The wings come out hot and savory. The bread of the pizza is a bit sweet and it taste good. The staff is friendly and gracious. I bring my boys and they ask for the cheese pizza!

I was at a bridal shower across the street and they catered with Big Mama's & Papa's. We had the Big Papa's pizza on regular crust. Half the pizza was plain cheese and the other half had pepperoni. The 36" pizza is $47.99 with just cheese and sauce and an additional $7.00 for each topping. I was actually quite thrilled because I've been meaning to try the one in Pasadena for a while now. (Plus all the publicity they've been getting on TV due to Ellen & the Oscar's.) When the pizza guy arrived, we were all impressed with the size! Dang... one of the biggest pizzas I have ever seen. Anyway, I was starving and had 3 slices of pizza. To be honest, I was a little disappointed. The crust itself was not memorable, hardly any sauce, and I found the pizza to be too salty. I had to get more salad and wash everything down with some water. I actually would have enjoyed Costco pizza a lot better. Eh... if opportunity arises again... I might give them another shot, but wouldn't go out of my way. 74/100 Reviews for 2014

Oh get over yourselves. This is a great little place in a great location with great pizza!! My only complaint would be NO BEER! But hey.....they told me there is bar 3 doors down....lol...love it! Big slices at a reasonable price that taste really good....enough said you haters!!

eek! methinks no more! I just waited 30 minutes for a slice of an undercooked pepperoni pizza... How long more do I have to wait to get a fully cooked pizza?? It wasn't edible and I'm still hungry :( The last time I got a slice of ham pizza I believe it was overcooked... pretty black, bitter and rock hard.

I like the food but the service is horrible. I waited almost half an hour in store when they never even told me my pizza was ready! Overall the price is ok and the food is great. They just need to work on improving their service

Two stars only because the managers did apologize and try to make right by give me a free soda. But otherwise this place is horrible $30 bucks for a deep dish "Chicago style" pizza! It was more like a huge bagel bite with some toppings. I ordered the mafia cake aka Chicago deep dish and the thing was all bread and the crust uneditably hard & flavorless. The website is horribly slow and failed to add my free 2 liter.

I think their pizza is absolutely to die for. they have variety of toppings and different sauces not just plain regular pizzas. i luv their Alfredo sauce pizza with pretty much any topping you want. The sizes are great for parties, as well as if you want just one slice for your own. but its not just the pizza they have other food as well. you should try the egg gondola pizza... can't go wrong. Staff is very friendly as well. def recommend this place!

I absolutely loved the pizza we were served. It was fresh and it tasted so yummy! I love that there is a decent sized dining room and the service was good. Despite the cackling teenagers behind us, my boyfriend and I devoured our pizza and left very pleased. I can't wait to come back to this location!

We usually eat there on weekends and always order for parties . Great management, friendly staff and the service is great. Their menu has dozens to chose from. From garlic bread and mozzarella cheese to buffalo wings and Greek salad. The garlic mozzarella cheese is cheesy and very tasty. The wings are not boiled like other places which makes them good. And the salads are very fresh. And when we order for parties, the order is fulfilling and on time! Check it out!!

Love the location love the pizza and the service. My family and I stop at this location once in a while to get pizza on the weekends. The pizza is super crunchy and delicious. Would recommend this place. Another thing is that the owner is always present at the business so you get the best service.

It's just bad! I mean, if you are hungry, it's food. Eat it! If you want good food to enjoy, go somewhere else. #Yuck

some things in this world are hard to understand. for instance, that a chain dedicating itself to offensively soulless food can open so many locations, and of all of them, one can stand out so exceptionally pathetic in service and food. as well, how does wacky wok die yet this place lives on? montrose deserves better and so do you.

I LOVE the BMMP franchise but not this location. The guy who took our order was a bit rude. No let me take that back, a Douchbag! They are very stingy on the toppings. I asked for double sausage and 1 topping of sausage came out. When I complained about it the guy said "it is double meat. I would know cause I made it". I wanted to flick a sausage in his eye for that sassy comment! It was my first and last time at this location.

Pizza's decent here. It's not all that but comparable to a Costco pizza. The service was pretty good and the prices are affordable here. A good stop after a softball win. They open till 1000pm and there are other things on the menu besides pizza. They have sandwiches, appetizers and salads. Sit inside or out on curbside.

Home of the largest pizza in the world! Too bad it's very average pizza. You can probably do a whole lot better at home. I still don't know what Ellen was thinking ordering from one of these places for the Oscars. Thin, greasy and bland, the pizzas here are very generic tasting. The sides are nothing special. Got the curly fries and Italian sausages. Curly fries were good, but you can't mess those up. Do not get the Italian sausages, they smelled funky and tasted "off". If you're looking for good pizza, this is not the place. Ok for a quick filling, but not much else.

Not sure why a lot of negative feedback on here. This place is great for pizza in Montrose. The price is ok? Not too low or high but is very affordable for everyone. They only cook the pizza when you order, so everything stay fresh. Of course the wait is long due to the pizza is fresh cook. If you can't stand the wait, then go to Pizza Hut or other places where they can cook the pizza without 4 minutes

Delivery guy was incredibly rude. Maybe he was having a bad day. He rang the doorbell and I asked who it was, just making sure it's not some sketch guy. He yells at my mom to open the door. Safety first. Why are you yelling at us? Sorry we don't open the door without knowing who it is.

This Big Mamas has been here for a few years and has been decreasing in both quality and service the entire way. There food is decent, but don't expect any of your food to be out of the ordinary. I have received burnt pizzas and told they made them that way, that's just some cheese. ;| I recently went in there and the man would not even talk to me after I gave him the money. Oh, and they only gave me 1 packet of parmesan for two pizzas. (2 smalls for almost 18$) to go. Step It Up Big Mama's and Papa's!

This place is awful ! I've had frozen pizza that tasted better than this !! How are they able to stay in business serving this kind of pizza ? And the staff were rude on top of it ! Stay away !!

Good food and great customer service. We moved to the neighborhood about a year ago and since then we've been one of the usual customers. I love their HUGE slices, wings are one of my daughter's favorite, and the deluxe pizza is fantastic, oh and don't forget to try their 2 egg gondola, it's simply yummmmmmmmy! I don't understand why everyone else doesn't give this place a 5star. Huge slices, crunchy crust, delicious toppings and the customer service are always on-point plus they are very clean. My order is never messed up, the manager Raymond and his drivers are always super friendly. We order couple of times in a month. If you're in the area be sure there isn't a better pizza place within delivery radius.

Tried to order a pizza online (you get a free one after 6), but was told that I could not place an order, on a Friday night. I called to place the order and asked if there's a reason I couldn't order online. I was told no. I went ahead and gott a pepperoni pizza, half mushroom for pickup. It was ready on time and the pizza was decent.

What can be said about Big Mama's & Papa's Pizzeria? If you want pizza and don't necessarily need it to be especially tasty, unique or memorable then this is a perfectly decent place to go to. This place seems to hype up the size of their slices and pies - both covering a pretty large surface area and are perforated so they can be easily broken up into smaller pieces. The thing is that while the slices are wide, they're not especially deep. Don't get me wrong, they're pretty filling, but for $3.99 for a 1 topping slice I'd hope they would be. Especially when getting two slices puts you in the ball park of medium pizza pan size of other more delicious pizza spots *cough* PasadenaPizzaCo. *cough* . I ordered 2 pepperoni and one sausage slice and while everything tasted fine, the sausage had an anemic splattering of sausage. Go here if you really want pizza and all the other places are closed. Don't go here if you have options. The people behind the counter, who aren't especially friendly or grateful for your patronage, won't thank you for it anyway.

Keep on walking, there's nothing to see or worth eating here. Alright, well maybe the largest pizza. The scoop - Godfather Pizza: The chicken & dried tomatoes looked like they'd been sitting in the Mojave Desert for weeks and were equally dry. The rest of the pizza wasn't over cooked (which made the dryness a bit bizarre), but just lacked any "likeable" flavors. The Meatlover's pizza was the polar opposite - extremely greasy. This pizza was in the 2-3 star range from a flavor standpoint - if you don't mind clogging your arteries. The Godfather pizza should never have been sold, -1 star.

Never coming back here again! Horrible customer service and the pizza isn't even that great! The owner should hire more employees so he could deliver better food and service. The store is located on a busy street!!! I tried this place out twice and was disappointed both times. Also, don't try dining inn. It takes over 30min for them to prepare a single slice of pizza. Too annoying especially when they told me it shouldn't take longer than 10 min!

This place has a huge 36" pizza. I've had it on a number of occasions for parties and such. It's ok. It's not horrible. It's not fantastic.

This place has the friendliest customer service I've ever had, they serve you your food if you order anything dine-in. They don't call you to pick it up from the counter, they always bring it to you. We went there with our family and ordered a Jumbo size Deluxe pizza...oh my God that was just amazing, a pizza that big was perfectly cooked. Moreover, the crust and the sauce was delicious. After that I started going there after work and I always order a 6" Italian Hoagie with 8 pieces of wings and I'm lovin it! Thank you guys!

Not a fan. 1.) they're pizza tastes and looks like day old pizza from Costco. Don't get me wrong.. I love Costco pizza but they're combo large pizza costs $10 for a reason. 2.) I ordered the Large Deluxe pizza for $20.99. And I regret coming to this place. If you want a good pizza place, do not come here. That's just my two cents

Ordering the Big Papa seemed like a good idea at the time, especially since it was to feed a large staff. My co-worker and I didn't think about how we were going to fit this ginormous pizza into her car! Needless to say we had an adventurous time trying to figure it out... The pizza is average, nothing special.

Six days after our mom had died, we had a houseful of people. Per my brother's suggestion, we ordered two of their giant pizzas (28" or 36"). The pizzas (nothing elaborate ... one cheese, one pepperoni) were all right. But we had two HUGE problems. If only we had read the reviews ... 1) We were told it would take 45 minutes to deliver. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes. No call to let us know. No heads-up. Not cool. 2) My sister-in-law gave her credit card number when she ordered the pizzas. A few people heard this phone call. When the pizzas were delivered (a half-hour late), we were asked if we were paying cash. We explained that we had paid over the phone. About 10-15 minutes later, we get a phone call ACCUSING US of trying to skip out on paying for the pizzas. My brother who answered the phone said the caller was aggressive and caustic. My brother handed the phone to his wife. She said it was the same guy who had taken the order. Same accusation, same unbelievably rude tone. My sister-in-law finally said, "Look, I'll just pay for it and give you my credit card again." Instead of simply taking the number, the employee kept protesting her use of the word "again." My brother finally took the phone and spelled out how we had many people over because our mom had just died. Only then did the guy from Big Mama's and Papa's change his attitude. It seemed awfully clear to us that 1) the fault wasn't on our end; and 2) we have never encountered someone in the restaurant business, regardless of our tragic situation, who has ever treated a customer so horribly. We're just relieved it wasn't our grieving father who ordered the pizzas and got berated because of THEIR incompetence. Safe to say, we -- and all our company that night -- will no longer be dealing with the Big Jerk at Big Mama's and Papa's.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
