Diabetics must resist their temptations when dining at Applebee's. Most of the items on Applebee's menu is either stuffed with sodium or sugar. You must be extra careful and pick low-sugar and low-sodium diet at Applebee's if you are diabetic.

If you are starting your meal with appetizers then make sure you skip the Classic Buffalo sauce, Honey BBQ sauce, and sweet Asian Chile sauce on your wings order. It is highly recommended to skip the appetizers if you are dining alone and instead build your appetizer keeping nutrition in check. Among the steaks, you must stay away from the Applebee's Riblets platter as well as Bourbon Street Steak at all costs. Shrimp 'N Parmesan Sirloin is also not recommended. Skip the sandwiches, wraps, and tacos as well. Desserts may be tempting but it is recommended to avoid them at Applebee's for their high sugar content. High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol

If you have high cholesterol, then you must avoid eating sandwiches, wraps, and tacos at Applebee's. While the salads and soups sound healthy, you must skip the Fiesta Chopped Salad and Loaded Potato Soup at Applebee's. It is also advised to dodge the Three Cheese Chicken Penne and Chicken Fajita Rollup. Any main meal with over 100mg cholesterol is not idle for someone with high cholesterol. So, skip those items at Applebee's.

I'm writing an update to 3-1/2 stars as after my last review I did get phone calls from the local restaurant and higher ups. They listened to my complaint, offered to send out some free meal coupons which I took them up on. We went tonight, our meal was great and got to chat a bit with the manager Brandon. Because of my last review they are now authorized to have another person staffed for pick up orders rather than just the bartender taking it all on. Brandon was truly people oriented and enjoyed sharing my thoughts with him. The greeter, hostess, and other servers we interacted with were all very friendly and accommodating tonight. For that I've upped my review and will try them again in a few weeks when the new menu comes out. I still wish there were more vegetarian options. I did try a Fiesta salad tonight without the meat and was happy it had a lot more flavor than other salads I've tried there. My boys all love the desserts which makes up for lack of other selection I suppose. Faster bar service tonight might have been the only thing I could have wished for as I like my margarita before the meal, but my toddlers had me overly occupied anyhow so it all worked out. Based on the friendly service, I'd say give em a try, but for now I still say prompt service may be hit or miss... I'm willing to take my chances again based on tonight. If you encounter something, I'd say write a note on the "contact" section of the Applebees website and someone will take care of you . Thanks again Brandon for making sure we were happy campers tonight!

Wish it was possible to give 0 stars. One of the worst experiences ever. Bad service, 15 minutes to get a drink order placed. table next to us got up and left after they got tired of waiting. food took over 30 minutes to arrive (and the place wasn't that crowded). My food came out cold, not lukewarm, cold. I asked for a medium-rare steak. When I got the new food, it was the wrong entree and it was darn near hockey-puck well done. I like Applebee's but will NEVER return to this one.

This Applebee's is really old and the bar area has a musty smell. A really old smell to it which was a huge turn off. The burger I ordered was really good but i couldn't get over the smell of this joint. until they clean this place up and remodel i wont be back.

Applebee's is your average "American Grill" with a little bit of everything on the menu. I needed a quick bite after golf and Applebee's is where we ended up. I ordered the Club House Grill, it was good enough. Ham, turkey, bacon and two cheeses on grilled sourdough with BBQ sauce, lettuce and tomatoes. Fries were hard and salty. My friend got the chicken fajita wrap - and he seemed OK with it. Service pretty good. In my world, it goes - 1. Chili's, 2. Applebee's and a distant 3. TGI Friday's... 2.5 stars

(This is coming from a health-conscious standpoint, which is effecting the rating) My girlfriend and I go here every week. The waitstaff know our orders, what we do, etc. The staff is quite good, but the food is just alright. It's Applebees. Our weekly day out used to be to Chili's, but when we calculated the calories in our regular orders from there, both of us were appalled. In order to be confident that you get good food, it's almost a necessity that you've tried it before. It's also difficult to navigate their healthier options, as some taste super bland. The things we get on a regular basis are: one, the garlic sirloin with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies, with candied jalapenos on the side. The jalapenos we adopted from one of their fat-laden burgers, but taste much better in a mouthful of healthy potatoes and steak. I eat meat very rarely, so other things that I've enjoyed here are the Weight Watchers Lime and Jalapeno Shrimp, the Zesty Roma Chicken and Shrimp, and the Pick'N'Pair lunch special of a bowl of tomato soup and the Fiesta Chopped Chicken Salad. The Lime and Jalapeno Shrimp is good if you like spicy and you like shrimp, but the rice isn't up to snuff. The Zesty Roma is fantastic: almost like a much healthier Chicken Parmesean: only 410 calories, and no sacrifice for taste. This also comes with zucchini and shrimp, all very flavorful. The Fiesta Chopped Chicken salad is heavier: if you order it from the salad menu, the portion is huge: over a thousand calories, but if you split the amount, it's an incredibly delicious option: spicy, lightly dressed, but hearty if you eat enough of it. Our puppy gets leftovers every time.

I knew it when my GF wanted to go here...a little voice was saying "Don't do it", but the other little voice said "They have a NEW MENU...why not" and "it was her turn to choose, and she is such a sweetie". Well I had the worst salad that I have had anyplace, ever...by far! I got the $8 buck (small??) shrimp, avocado, and bacon. It had the limp bib lettuce, very brown avocado ( in random hunks) I counted 4 small shrimp...there were a few black olives, and bacon bits. This was compost ready food...YUCK!!! We had a great time together...it was so fun to catch up, but I will have to find something to eat soon, as I missed lunch!

I was there last night, I only saw my waitress not even a handful of times it was to only bring me my order, she only came to drop things off. She came to Check on me once to drop off my check after she dropped off my food. She did not have very many tables. The waiters and waitresses seem to have a lot of time on their hands to stand around and talk. This is not the first time that I have witnessed this. I wish I would rate a -5 because the service is worse than most fast food places!

My hubby & I received a gift card for Applebee's and figured we'd use it for a free dinner. Applebee's is not at all my favorite place to eat, nor is it even on my list of places I LIKE to eat at. But, considering we hadn't been there in a while, we thought we'd give it a shot. Besides, it was free with the gift card, so it's not like we were paying anything. It sucked. The service was EXTREMELY slow. The restaurant was not on and poppin' at all, and there were plenty of servers working, so there should have been no excuse for the slow service. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, which came out right before our meals did. The food was fine. Not that I have high expectations from here anyway... But again, the service sucked. Also, my hubby prefers Coke over Pepsi. Usually at a restaurant when you order Coke, if they don't have it, they'll tell you. This waitress just filled his drink order and come to find out, they serve Pepsi. She didn't bother telling him that it wasn't actual Coke that they serve. I won't be back here for a long time, if at all.

Customer service is average tho my issue is not with the servers. As my profile header claims, "vegetarian ignorance means losing business" this restaurant is one of the clear examples of that. When I go here with meat-friendly friends (hehe) it's sad that I have to spend days pouring over the menu to find something that is even edible. Forget sharing an appetizer. For vegans, skip this place altogether! You'll be lucky if you could consume the packaged soup crackers. As a vegetarian, I do allow myself consumption of dairy but my issue here is that there is nearly meat in EVERYTHING. So unreasonable that I have to request that "bacon" be left out of my salad. An american style restaurant that doesn't even offer veg salads? Yup, ignorance. Kudos to Denny's for at least offering Boca burgers and meat-free salads. Sorry, Applebee's, you're not too neighborly.

On our way through my hometown and wanted something to eat. Admittedly, I seem to only eat at huge chain restaurants near my hometown. This time, Applebees! Honestly, I'm not a big fan of their food, but our waitress was super nice (maybe a bit slow on the service, but we were not in any rush) and the food was surprisingly decent. Now Applebees cracks me up because there is like a 99% chance that you will find at least one toddler here... AT 11PM. Do you really need to eat that late with your child? Really? I know it is late happy hour, but sheesh, let that child sleep and save some money by drinking at home. /end PSA Oh, wait., the food. Well, my dish was some basic grilled veggies, potatoes and chicken with cheesy sauce. It did not look great, but it was tasty. I also had some chocolate dessert. It was OK. I think a snack pack might have been better. Happy hour prices for beer is pretty sweet, though. I mean, if you want an amazing meal, you don't go here, but it's chill, there are drinks and hey, it won't break the bank.

I can't warrant only giving 1 star, since I do go there once every 4-5 months or so... The food is eaah. They have 2 good things in my opinion (house salad & loaded mashed potato), but that's about it. I'll try other things, but everything is pretty darn bland and blah. But all that doesn't even compare to the service. TERRIBLE. I don't know what it is about this location and their servers, but they really need to get their act together. Honestly, I would probably go there more if the service was better. But when neither is good, why bother?

There was a time in the distant past where I really liked this place and I certainly don't hate it now though I will say that one of my worst ever dining out experiences took place here. Several years ago my Brother and his family were visiting from out of town and we we went here to eat. The service was horrifically slow, the food came out cold and there was no apology or other sign that anyone who worked there had a clue that things were less than ideal or cared. Just to be clear, there was almost nobody else in the place at the time so it wasn't like they were busy. Many years back when it first opened the food and staff were much better and more recently on those rare occasions when I've eaten there the experience has been at least mediocre if never memorable. Oh yeah, my main semi current peeve is that they put bacon in their shrimp salad. Why? It does nothing to enhance the flavor and due to dietary considerations reduces the number of people who are able to order it. If corporate is listening, please send a good manager to the Livermore Applebees and leave them here for a couple of years. I'm not convinced that the situation can't be salvaged, but its going to take some time and hard work.

My husband and I do not generally go to chain diner restaurants, but my daughter got a coupon/award from her school. The service was good, they were really nice to my kids and accomodating. The food was kind of what we expect for a chain diner, so OK. There was a great happy hour that day that serves all day Sunday and Monday, which we did like a lot. It was warm and we watched the football game, so decent atmosphere. All in all, if you are looking for a chain diner, then this place is ok and definitely check out the happy hour.

Oh God. Why do they make the commercials look ten times better??! Came to this particular Applebee's on our way back to SoCal, and decided to eat here for the first time (we never had Applebee's before) since we were HUNGRY. The menu is extensive, so it took me a while to decide, but I finally settled on an Oriental Chicken Salad paired with a regular Hamburger. For starters we had the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. I just have to say.... Spinach and Artichoke Dip- BLEH. It definitely bears no resemblance to the picture on the menu. Barely any artichoke taste, dip was watery and gross, chips were stale. Moving on. Oriental Chicken Salad- My salad was 75% fried broken wontons, and 25% dry iceberg lettuce. Chunks of lettuce were stuck to each other, I even found the bottom stem of one in my dish. The cheese is that 99cent one you use for quesadillas at 12am when you're studying for a final the next day, know what I mean? On my salad it looked just plain cracked out. Hamburger- You would think a hamburger is the safest thing to eat, but no, it's not. The meat is drier than a desert and crumbles off when you bite into it, tasteless. If you mashed dog food together and added a little bit of water to mold into a patty, this is what it would taste like (and I know, I tried dog food as a kid). The melted cheese is cold by the time it gets out to you so it dries to the bread and you eat it in chunks. I REALLY wanted to like Applebee's- I saw Talladega Nights and the food looked delicious on the screen, guess it's that Hollywood photoshop :( Not going back to another Applebee's, ever.

Why break the trend? Applebees is the typical chain restaurant. Actually very good service. Prompt ordering. Attentive staff. Ran outta kids menus (HOW THE FOCK?). Fast Drink Refills. Unfortunately, the food was not good. The microwaved chicken & brocolli pasta bowl was decent for the kids. BUT my fiesta lime chicken thingy was bad. Dried chicken breast, with spicy chipotle mayo sauce, over a bed of tortilla chips, side of pico de gallo (sour), and 3 day old dried spanish rice. Of course i ate the whole thing, cuz when youre hungry, you just inhale and chew later. Great service though. Packed like hell....prob due to the ncaa championship game that night. Oh those applebee comercials are quite sneaky...especially using the voice of john corbett.

So many reviews, 1-1-1-1-1-1- and now for my review. 1.5. My impressions about Applebee's have always been the same: Impressive menu selections, whopping prices, surprisingly small portions. The food never tastes as good as the pictures imply it would be. The steaks have no flavor. Pros: The menu, literally the menu, the laminated paper you have in your hand! Great, polished pictures. Catchy names, with many varieties. How many different things can you do with chicken and ground beef? Cons: The final bill doubles your expectation. You can't believe it but its true. Small portions, but large plates! I hope one day an O'Charley's will come to Livermore. Extra 1/2 point because a clown gave our then 2 year-old daughter a little plastic yellow elephant and a balloon. She still remembers the clown, forgot the food.

The atmosphere always reminds me of a weird, boring, late-night stuck in some airport restaurant. The server was "ok" and she did not give us any attitude at all when my wife sent her under-cooked shrip skewers back TWICE... otherwise I would be asking why the lowest I can give is 1 star!!! My son liked his steak ok, but my chicken/ orange/ apple salad was the worst salad I've ever had. It had more cabbage than anything else and the balsamic vinegrette dressing was disgusting. Also I'd have to say the spicy seasoning all over my salad put the salad into "sub-cafeteria" quality. I have never liked Apple Bees, but my wife talked me into going there for the last time. If I EVER go to AppleBees again, it will be because I am desperate and someone else is buying.

We have always gone to the Livermore location for our Work Birthday lunches in the past couple of years, there would be the usual 5-6 gals, we'd have lunch and dessert within a one hour time frame, we like the lunch special menu... however the last two months when we have gone for birthday lunches, we barely got through lunch, didn't have time to even think about ordering dessert. Yesterday was the worst and we will discontinue this tradition... When we walked in the restaurant there was NOT ONE server on the floor. I grabbed the menus and seated our party, we finally had a server come and take our orders for drinks and then our lunches... when we complained about the time we've been waiting she explained that it was the luncheon specials and they take time... then why called them luncheon specials? We have never had a 41 minute wait for lunch prior to this? We explained we were in a hurry, for all the good that did. The Manager did come out and gave us a discount... she explained she was new... and she had a lot of work ahead of. The server brought a large ice cream sundae for all of us to share, but too little way too late.. the funny thing is I saw her bring it out.... set it on the bar... it sat there for 3 minutes because I timed it... the Kitchen staff and server staff need to be more aware of customers. We never even got asked if we wanted drink refills.. Definitely will not return... Good luck trying to get this mess straightened out.. you are losing customers on a regular basis.

This is the worst service I have ever experienced. First of all, when we went in, it looked like a mad house. After we were seated and ready to order, our server forgot to take some of our orders. She didn't refill our drinks once the whole night. I was still sucking on the same cherry limeade till we left. Well 45 minutes went by and still we didn't get our food. She comes back and tells us that our orders got lost in the computers because there was a computer problem. We then asked another server who told us that the computers were fine and nothing was wrong. When we got our food, they messed up our order and our food was cold. One person even asked "Who's tall ale is this?" and tried to offer it to us. The oldest any of us were was 18. So after a crappy dinner, we called the manager over to tell him about our bad service and mid-conversation, he turns his back and walks off. So we call him over again and again he turns his back! Never go here! It is not worth it!

The food at applebees is not bad. The tables are very sticky they don't clean them well. The men's bathroom smells bad the trash needs changing. The people that work there are good. The service is a little slow

I went to Applebees because it was close to work and thought i'd try out the curb side pick up. They said 10 minutes but I waited about 20 and when I pulled up no one showed up. Finally after about 10 minutes I called to let them know I was there...after 10 more minutes I went in to get my food (no very curb side if you ask me). When I went in I STILL waited even longer and did not receive anything close to any apology. I also noticed that there were more employees in the restaurant than customers. I will not be eating at this establishment EVER again.

Below average, if you've been in one Applebee's then you know how the food is, this is strictly review of the staff. Average, I think the staff could be better but in this location it's a job to them. No need to put extra effort, too bad the 20% tips are mandatory no matter how bad a service or average you've been provided with.

Usually good service and good food. We went after 9pm and seemed the cooks were not aware how to prepare the potatoes correctly. Even the manager on duty said they did it wrong. They did it wrong twice though. Little better training would go a long way. They gave us free dessert for the error. We will go back.

The Dublin location is MUCH better. I've been here about 3 or 4 times, and majority of the times i've been there, i've gotten MEH service. We went there on 11/11 during lunch and the server (Sarah) seemed like she disliked us. She never talked to us other than to take our order and give us the bill. I waited 5 minutes for a soda refill. If anyone works there or knows this Sarah, tell her to be friendly to her customers and maybe she would have gotten more than a 12% tip. Plenty of people will take your job Sarah!

We only go to Applebee's 2-3 times a year, mainly because the service is always terrible. For a lack of anywhere else to go, we went back. MISTAKE!! This is not the place to go if you want to get in and out in under an hour or if you have hungry kids. I will say that we did have a much better server on this visit, however, the kitchen is what is slow. I do not understand this because the place is always empty. I wonder how they even survive.

i have been to applebee's a few times over the years and i have never had a satisfying experience! for starters the menu is just so boring and needs more of a selection. every item you see everywhere else you go and is so much better. the quality of the food always seems boring and bland. recently applebee's added celebrity chef tyler florence to add a new line of dishes to the menu which really look great but is tyler florence back there in the kitchen making me these dishes?! that's a big NO! just like everything at applebee's the food is prepared with little care and enthusiasm so you would be much better off at a chilli's or even a denny's.

I could hardly rate this establishment a 1 star, but I had no choice. HORRIBLE! My BFF and I took my 4 & 6 yr old out to dinner after their Halloween party. Biggest mistake. After waiting about 5 minutes in an empty lobby to be seated, finally the slow a@@ host seated us with no apology or kindness. We ordered shortly after being seated and waited about 50 minutes before we saw a meal. Nevermind that we were the ONLY people in the restaraunt area. The rest were at the bar. It took my server about 15 minutes to bring me my glass of wine, because " the liquor room was locked and they didnt have a manager to unlock it". Not sure how that happens on a Friday night?! I got so frustrated with my wait time I told the bus boy to ask them to cancel my order, but apparently it was too late. My 6 yr old fell asleep waiting for his dinner. I finally had to carry him out, sleeping, where I watched the bus boy and host stare at me as I helped myself out the doors with a sleeping child in hands. WOW! Now thats what I call Service! JERKS!! NEVER WILL I GO BACK!!

apple bee's was awful, then it got it little better and now it's awful. my son used to love the mac n cheese. every time i asked him what he wanted for dinner, he would ask for apple bee's. a few weeks ago when we went backache food was so awful he wouldn't even eat his favorite mac. the server was nice but unattentive. she never came by the table to ask how we were, refill our drinks or even check to see if we were done eating. i waited for what seemed like forever (with our plates stacked at the end of the table) to let her know we were done and wanted our bill. we will not be going back. i can still taste the awful.

My family went to dinner at Applebees on Sunday night and it was not crowded and we were seated quickly. 15 minutes pass and we still have not waitress, my husband gets someone to take our order. The menu no longer has a chicken sandwich, a real chicken breast not sliced crap!! ok back to the story. So the drinks come...and then another set comes?? ok whatever, now our order 3 kids and only 2 meals?? not right, she never even notices that our son had no food?? ok the long wait well it was awesome because we enjoyed the smell of mouse pee!! gross so gross. We told a staff person and was told the manager would be over, tick tock, tick tock...so my husband found her and explained what was going on, she said the mouse situation is under control so not sure why is smells? well cause you dont!! My steak was good but cold, the fries and food cold. The fruit was not good, sour and my kids wouldnt eat it. We will never eat there again, well unless they clean the rat pee up!!

I used to consider Applebee's food "good," if not "decent." However, that was before I ordered take-out from them a few nights ago. I ordered the House Sirloin, medium-rare w/veggies & mashed potatoes, & a side garden salad w/ranch. Also, I ordered a plain, bacon cheeseburger for my brother. Needless to say, when I got the food home, we were very disappointed. The steak was soggy (and I only live about 6, 7 minutes from this place,) there were barely any vegetables and the mashed potatoes were sweet-tasting & unappealing. My brother's cheeseburger had produce on it; what does "plain" mean to you? I even told the guy on the phone, "NO produce: onions, lettuce, anything like that." As far as the mashed potatoes go, that's not the worst thing that could happen, I know. But I don't remember them tasting that way. The salad wasn't anything special either. The whole ordeal was just very unsatisfactory. Probably going to try & steer clear of this restaurant from now on.

I have to agree with everyone on this one. I have never... NEVER had a good experience at this Applebees. Every time I eat here I leave in the most fowl mood. Their wait staff is horrendous the food is sub par, and the environment is depressing.

Just walked in to the coldest restaurant I've ever been to, no hostess. Stood there for a couple minutes until one of the waiters stopped and told us we would be helped. We got sat by a very kind server who was very attentive and sweet. My mother and I ordered the 3 appetizer combo (she got the shrimp, pretzels, and wanton tacos, I got the buffalo wings, meatballs, and spinach artichoke dip). All of my food was fine, I really enjoyed the wings and the rest was acceptable. My mother however was only satisfactory with her pretzels. Her shrimp came out to us raw. Her tacos were bland. The waiter took forever to bring back out card when we paid. (Didn't pay at the nearest register in addition.) Needless to say we were a little uneasy. As we were shivering with our food we overheard the manager come up to someone, get told by a customer that they were all cold, and then continue to say that the air conditioner was broken in her car so she cranked it in here. Probably wouldn't go back unless it was my only option.

I just came here last night with my dad since Hickory Pit was closed. Surprisingly the food was pretty good. They really do have some really cheap deals for dinner. We went with the two entrees and one appetizer for $25. I know this isn't an upscale restaurant, but it was great for what it is. Also the waitress was friendly and took care of us. Apple Bees also has new tablets at each table, which make it super easy to order your food from, and pay your bill. The best part is you don't have to wait on the check and you can split up the bill however you like in a matter of seconds. There is the option for each person to pay for their meal with a credit card on the tablet. Got to love this technology. Smart move to get ahead Apple Bees. Makes sense that our waitress has more time to tend to us.

We have gone to this applebees for few times now and overall it'd not that bad. The food is good. They have good burgers and good steaks. Their happy hour prices and selections isn't bad. The only thing they need to improve is faster service. It seems like they are short staffed. Most of the times we couldn't even find our waiter and sometimes we had to wait almost 10 minutes to order. Other than that food is good and personnel are very friendly.

My friend and I came here because we love the food. We stood up front for 5 minutes with no greeting, so we thought we would try the bar out, yet we sat there for another 15 minutes without even being acknowledged. Meanwhile every employee was gathered around one table on their cell phones. We normally love it here but were disappointed with the customer service tonight. We left, still without ever being greeted and went to chills instead where we had excellent service and great food! We won't be returning to this Applebee's location anymore.

Judging from the most recent reviews, me and the group I was with must have caught this location on good night. The service was amazing from the start. When asked where we wanted to sit, we let them know we prefered the section off to the left because it was completely void of any other customers. The host hesitated for a moment but eventually led us over. He joked around with us for another minute or so before returning to the host stand. Our server came over shortly after and full of energy. He asked us if we were famliar with the tablet at the table, which you could use to browse the menu, order and eventually pay. Though I wasn't, the people in my party were and let him know that we would much prefer a live server. Even though the rest of his tables were all the way on the other side of the restaurant, he had no problem making a special trip to serve us. I ordered the Clubhouse Grille with fries. The sandwich sounded like a monster. Turkey, ham, bacon, both cheddar and Jack cheese, hony BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomato, mayo and all on toasted potato bread. Sounds like a lot right? That's because it was. I couldn't taste the turkey much, but that's because it was overpowered by delicious ham and bacon. At a ratio of 2:1, the pig won this battle. The mayo and BBQ sauce in a combined effort, made for messy attempts to lift this baby up. If you're looking for a cheesy, meaty monster of a sandwich, the Clubhouse Grilled would be the way to go. No complaints about the fries. Cooked perfectly and salted beaufiully. A+ While not my ideal restaurant, I certainly had a good time here. The service was amazing, and the food was good. Sounds like they are picking up their game and I will definitly be returning.

Been there in the past with satisfaction But there new business model is a stinker. They try to force you to order by iPad, by deemphasizing service. Hard to get a waiter to come around 1. They refuse to give you utensils other than fork, saying "if you food needs to be cut, we"ll bring a knife". So THEY decide. My wife ordered burger. They did not bring knife. How to spread the condiments? How to cut it? Took several minutes to flag down server, and ask for knife. 2. They do not clear the table. We ordered appetizers, finished. Throughout the entire experience, they never took away any plates, etc., unless I asked.as a result, the table was very CROWDED with empty plates. Weird Go back to a traditional business model, based on customer service I won't go back.

Food was pretty good which is why this gets more than one star. Appetizer took forever to come out and then the actual entrees themselves also took forever. Ordered onion rings as appetizer and sirloin as entree. Sirloin was pretty tasteless, chili's and outback definitely have superior steaks. The potatoes were delicious though. Instead of garlic mashed potatoes we wanted loaded mashed potatoes and they charged $1.99 extra for that. It didn't say that on the menu and the waitress didn't inform us of it. We just noticed it on the check at the end. Most restaurants will just do it with no charge. Almost 2 bucks to just add a little bit of cheese, bacon bits and sour cream? Really? Just an easy way for them to get money. Both me and my mom ordered the same thing so that was $4 they got. Waited forever for the waitress to come back and let us pay. Chili's was unfortunately closed so that's why we picked this location. Wouldn't come back.

Against my better judgement, I stopped by for a late lunch with my kids. I generally stay away from chain restaurants like Chili's and Applebee's. There was very few customers in the place, and the food took forever to get. My son ordered a cheese burger, that he was satisfied with...keep in mind he's a 17 year old, I could feed him cardboard with ketchup and he'd be happy. His meal came with cold sweet potato fries. My daughter ordered a mix and match lunch combo. She got the tostada soup which she did not like and a chicken pasta combo. She ate the pre-sliced chicken breast and would not touch the pasta, which is very unlike her. My kids were served and about 8 minutes later my food was served. I had the french onion soup and thai shrimp salad. The lettuce did not seem fresh, and the shrimp was less than desirable. Applebee's appeals to processed chicken tender lovers, I know better. Nobody to blame but myself.

Excellent food! The Oriental Chicken Salad is the best salad I've ever tasted. The dessert menu is also delicious. However, the service is HORRIBLE. I waited 40 minutes for my food to come, and I ordered a simple pasta dish. The waitress also gave my appetizer to the wrong table, so I had to reorder it. Overall, excellent food, but not worth the hassle.

First time at this location. I ordered the French onion soup and there were maybe 5 pieces of onion. The house salad I ordered was overpriced for being so bland. You can get a large "1/2" salad for 5 bucks at Salad Makers that actually tastes good instead. Also the staff doesn't seem trained enough in customer service. Host was fine, he was trying to make sure everyone was ok but lack of servers attention doesn't get anyone a nice tip. Disappointing. I just wanted a filling bowl of soup on this cold day.

I've been to this location before and have never really had a problem. Today was absolutely ridiculous. I should have know from the get go to run. We sat down and the springs were broken in the booths. If a restaurant doesn't care about the comfort of their patrons, why would they care about the quality of their food? Next reason we should have left was it took the server 20 minutes to come introduce himself and take our drink order. It is a Wednesday afternoon, there was no one in there. He came to deliver our drinks and informed us that we should get our entree orders in soon because there were problems in the kitchen. Huge flag, should have left. But we stayed, hungry and with two year old in tow, we didn't want to find somewhere else to eat. Our food was delivered and it did not look appetizing at all. Everything looked like it was reheated in a microwave. My nephew's Mac and cheese looked like the blue box Kraft and they want to charge you $5 for it. I can buy a Costco size package for that much. My partner had ordered their triple bacon burger medium well. He went to go bite into the burger and I immediately had him stop eating it. That burger was so raw it was still mooing. The manager came and when I showed it to her she decided she needed to educate me on how a burger is cooked and that it only needs to be 150 degrees. After my lesson, she did decide to take the burger off our bill. Overall, we overly paid for crappy food when we could have gone to Burger King across the parking lot to have better quality crappy food.

I went with a friend for my cheat meal; as a bodybuilder, I look forward to my one meal a week in which I consume anything and everything. I didn't even eat "that" much but the judgmental looks I received from my waitress were discomforting; considering I ate all of what I ordered with the exception of a serving of a kid's mac n cheese (Bc I only inquired if having a side of Mac n cheese was even possible and really I meant real Mac n cheese that they serve with tenders and not from a box) and considering I paid my bill...a friendly and inviting environment would have been much appreciated since, again, I can only enjoy such a meal once a week. I had to ask for a refill and sat most of the hour and a half with empty glasses. The cowboy burger was anything but medium-well. I ordered my usual favorite for dessert (a blondie) but was delivered a burnt and hardened blondie that was inedible. The bill was over $50 and I left feeling unsatisfied and disappointed having spent so much money only to want to eat something else.

We were very pleased with our fundraiser for the Livermore High Boys Lacrosse team. The manager, Sherry and her staff were amazing. The event ran very smooth and the boys and customers all had a great time. We will be back for sure! Thank you Applebee's for supporting our team.

We came here last night because it was our twin girls birthday and they choose this place. We were a bit reluctant because we have not had good experiences before here. Last night proved it fully that we will never ever come back here again. The food was horrible. Had to send back my chicken because it was swimming in an pool of grease. Kids meal was terrible. Cut down on food sizes. The waitress was terrible. Had to ask her several times for things. Never brought them. But the topper was we asked them to do a birthday surprise with a dessert for the girls. They never did it. They just brought the check and left. Also the thing was the place was not even crowded. It was empty and they had many waitresses. Our waitress never brought us our appetizer or meals. Some other ones did. So lessoned learned and never again will we eat here. Also I don't want to give them any star ratings but I have too to make this post.

Came into Applebee's with a few of my friends. The place was dead. The poor girl at the bar, was helping our table. We sat for 45 mins before our food came to our table. Our waitress was super slow and seemed like she was stoned. Seriously the restaurant was empty. We asked once, why it took so long, since the place wasn't that busy. All our table got was sorry. While we were eating, the waitress checked on us once. It felt like we were getting the 5 hour grand tour!!! We sat waiting for our check for 10 minutes. Then we simply asked if we can split our check. The girl at the bar who was waiting on us couldn't figure it out. So some guy came and asked if we could number our orders. So we all passed the bill around the table, and numbered our items. The waitress was having a bad time, and sent the manager over. The manager was rude and trying to get rid of us. She came back and had all our our cards charged incorrectly. We asked her to fix it and then provide us with an itemized receipt for us. She got an attitude with us, and took forever to even bring them. We ended up leaving. She then chased us to the parking lot to give them to us. Horrible customer service!!!! I will never return to this Applebee's.

Good average restaurant. Good fair prices. Nice place to drop in esp after a hard day at work. Had nice waiter and in between hellos from others. We'll be back...expecting nothing more or less...nice place to relax and grab a bite. Meshan and Devin were great!

HORRIBLE service!!! 3+ servers & 5 tables, took me going up to ask for our server after 10 minutes of waiting for our check and she never came back so we could pay. Food was bad, even for Applebee's. Not going back to this location.

Came here because Chili's was too packed. Now I know why. Terrible service and food. Our waitress had a blank stare and kept getting our drinks wrong. The place looks like its closed down outside - the lights are off and it's dark. I have been to better locations.

Monday night we went in for a farewell meal before my cousin headed back to southern California. Our server was delightful from the start, making jokes and having a fun time. I first ordered the cedar grilled chicken which I didn't like due to the mint on top. I sent it back and ordered a burger with no problems. Since it was Monday my burger came with no fries as part of their Monday promotion which was a bummer. My cousin ordered a dessert using the tablet and it took 20 minutes before the server came over and asked if we needed anything. As soon as she realized we had been waiting she made the dessert and sent the manager over to talk about the situation. The manager offered us a dessert on the house and comped my cousins dessert as well as gave us $5 off of our meal. This was quite generous of the manager to do and the dessert was phenomenal to boot! Excellent recovery by Applebee's, we will definitely go back.

For an Applebee's that never seems to have many customers, the service is terrible. The servers always seem to be "backed up" (actual quote). On more than one occasion, it took an unacceptably long time to even be acknowledged. The food takes a long time, and it's mediocre at best. New management is needed. The last time I went I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but ended up leaving. Chili's is right next door and is way better service and food.

This place has the worst service! Husband and I sat in the bar area for almost 10 minutes with zero acknowledgment from staff. At least 6 servers walked by us....zero eye contact. I finally got fed up and walked out. This is not the first time I have had bad service at this location. The food is decent for a typical chain restaurant. This, combined with the easy location, is why I keep coming back. Management needs to talk to their staff and get this under control. I would hate to see them go out of business....mostly because that means their staff would get jobs somewhere else in town!

This place can be a hit or miss, service can occasionally be quick or most times it's slow, most recently my family and I waited over 45minutes just for the waitress to bring us water/take a drink order, the place itself was nearly empty so I don't know what was up. The waitress was very apologetic and seemed exhausted, I don't blame her in the least but maybe upper management needs to add more staff.

Applebee's is a place to go when you have no where else to go, and I mean no where else to go! I regret it everytime I get okie doked into coming here by my friends. OMG, I just waste money when I come here!

I went to Applebee's in Livermore the other day. I had not been there for two years. I ordered the the Chinese chicken salad. The salad was was pretty good sized for a lunch portion. The server martin was awesome even though he was just training. He made the whole visit enjoyable.

Omg!! You have to try the new sweet Asian pineapple burger... Applebee's hasn't had new burgers in a long while... But this was a successful addition to the menu it was great... My husband had the all you can eat crosscut ribs and BBQ hot seasoned fries... Who would have thought... Food great!! Service was much better than what I've had in the more recent past a little slow, but our server was attentive... Good evening

Seriously, 10 minutes to get so much as a drink order in, and I'd finished my shake and waited another 10 minutes after that to put my food order in. And it really doesn't take an hour to cook a rare sirloin. Everything was tasty and cooked to order, but seriously, I wanted to be in and out in maybe 30-45 tops, not 2 hours. I missed the first half of U.S. vs Portugal for this.

Road trip to San Fran!!!! Yahoo! Stopped here- Price was right. Meh Food was fair. ***Sans teenage waitress with attitude, poor eye contact, and in a rush. Do you want to feel shamefully guilty for asking to hold the dressing on the side? Do you need cutlery to eat? Our party of three was told to wait for cutlery bc they were "still rolling it up". They would put cutlery on our table 1 setting every 10 minute. Maybe our waitress was EMO. No she couldn't have been, bc she was chatting with the table next to us showing off her engagement ring. Applebee's please live up to your name!!!

Not the best Applebee's IMO. Went with the family during the dinner hour. The waitress was good, but the food was terrible. I don't remember exactly what we ordered, but we were highly disappointed because the food was unappealing compared to the menu pictures and tasted terrible. The biggest shocker was getting the bill and having to pay $70.00 for four crappy meals. I travel a lot for work and regularly eat at other Applebee's and have to say this one needs serious attention.

My husband and I go out once a month to a nice lunch together. Today we went to Livermore location of Applebee's. As we were sitting there I had told him I think I like Applebee's the best of all the resturaunts for seletion on menu. Well that has all changed as far as the Livermore location managed by TROY. We had the one appetizer, two entrees of the menu not the $20 but the $24 upgraded one. So looking around found a sign on the table which was a February 2013 special for the "Month of Love" HA! As I asked our waiter for this special as we had the one ap, and 2 entrees we thought we will splurge and get the dessert for a $1 more. He went to ask his manager TROY and he said no it would be $5 more. So I asked to speak to him. He came out in a huff grabbed one of the menus on the way to our table and you could see he wanted a fight. I said the advertisment was wrong if I couldn't add $1 to our purchase and get dessert. ( All I was going to get was one of the $1.49 sundaes). He said because we got the 2 for $24 meals that was an upgrade and we needed to add $5 more to that in order to get the special 2 for $25. Well I told him that was false advertising and he could get sued for that (meaning the company) not him personnally. WELL he leans down in my face and starts YELLING at me and said he had a death in his family yesterday and he didn't need to deal with this crap and walked off in a temper tantrum. Gee sorry about your loss but unfortunely I don't you from adam and how would I know that. Maybe you should take the day off and be with your family instead of YELLING at your customers. Your waiter tried to apoligize for your ignorance in which he was embarresed by. I wanted to complain about the meal but the 2 ladies in the booth next to us complained about their food so I didn't want to add to the problem there. Guess if you ran the place better there wouldn't be so many problems for you to handle. To the owner of the Applebee's in Livermore you should really read all the complaints you have about this store. We'll just stick with our Tracy store good food, nice people! Will post picture of ad on tables.

We came here for lunch today craving the napa chicken portobello. David, who was very pleasant and friendly, sat us down. We had an unfriendly welcome from our server Jan or Jen. She brought us our water and never came back. We left 15 minutes later. Maybe they need to be better staffed during the day. At night the service is usually fine. This was absolutely ridiculous!

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We got there around 11:30, so right before the lunch "rush". We sat in a booth by the window and it was a sunny day...so it wasn't dark where we were sitting. But when I went to the bathroom with my daughter, it seems as if it wasn't very bright in the rest of the restaurant. I don't know...maybe that's how some people like it. We were seated right away and were looking at the menu for and trying to decide what we wanted. I consider us patient customers...but our waitress didn't come by our table until five minutes after we had been seated. And at that, it wasn't even with water, it was to say "I'll be with you guys in a moment". Well, about another five minutes went by and she finally came over. We were ready at that time to order everything. We started with the spinach/artichoke dip. I ordered the steak and penne pasta dish, my friend ordered...I actually don't remember. We had run out of chips and water. Our entrees came and it was brought by the manager. We had to ask her for a refill of water and more chips. After that, the only time we saw our waitress was to drop off the check. I don't know what it is about Applebee's restaurants. This isn't the only one that has lacked service. And that's what their job is solely...CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's like they don't have a manual or training on how to excel in their job. I haven't been to Applebee's in a long time...but I've been three times already this year and I think I'm done with them again for awhile. I wish I could be a fan, but the customer service at three different restaurants just doesn't cut it.

Food was pretty decent. Tried their new tortilla soup it was pretty good loved the salsa it was topped with. the crunchy shrimp plate was to my surprise.... A ginormous plate of shrimp and fries. Couldn't finish even half of it after my soup. My husband ordered the quesadilla burger - he enjoyed it but said the tortillas were a bit too greasy. The waitress was attentive and polite even though she was having a rough afternoon and the table next to us had left a chilis gift card as payment. She still kept a smile on her face. Great service.

So I have two reviews...waitress was great, she has only been there a week and handled our large group well. She was professional and apologized. Now MANAGEMENT needs some work. We were a group of approx 40, which they agreed to ahead of time and we even confirmed 3 times with them how many people. So when it took us over 2 1/2 to get our food, that is unacceptable. When the bartender was approached by an adult in our group the staff became angry that the manager was being asked for, that she was working in the kitchen to get our food made and then when the manager came in to talk with the parent it was all excuses and how they don't take parties this large and they had other tables which large numbers of people. All around she was unprofessional. Not an I am sorry , not let me make this right...just excuse after excuse. And then gave us all coupons for free appetizers for Applebee's in the bay area....we all live in Sacramento. So they are useless.

I don't usually eat here due to them being over priced. However I was hungry after a long shift and I had no where else to eat at that time of night. I made the mistake of ordering the fajitas not knowing what I was getting into. First I got the standard 4 tortillas but they had forgotten the cheese that it comes with. They said cheese was extra, and when I asked why I have to pay a dollar for it they said they charge for extra cheese. I told them I never got cheese in the first place and it didn't seem to matter. Strike 2 was when I asked for more tortillas. I have NEVER had to pay for extra tortillas before even at the sleaziest hole in the wall taqueria. You promise tortillas and then charge for them. I'd hate to see what I would be charged if I asked for extra lettuce. Needless to say I won't be eating here again and judging by these reviews management is crap and greedier than a politician.

Haven't been to this Appleebee's in years because it was bad. My inlaws took us to the one is San Ramon and it was pretty good so I decided to try Livermore again with the kids eat free coupon. Well I forgot the coupon. I ordered two for $25 and my daughter got mac and cheese. Well I get my food but the server ran away before I could ask about my daughter's missing meal. Didn't she noticed my daughter sitting there with no food? The waitress came back and I told her about the missing meal. The manager also checked on me and I told her as well. I was told the kitchen didn't notice the order on the screen so it wasn't made. I was finished eating before my kid got her food. I was thinking since they had a kid free promotion going on they would comp that meal but no!! Then none of the dirty dishes were removed and piling up on the table. My napa chicken was cool and bland. I won't be going back.

The service was slow, the food was mediocre at best, and it was expensive. You can do better. The only redeeming quality is that they are open late. But even then, there are better options. Like Taco Bell. Or Jack in the Box. Seriously. Oh, and I'm vegan. It was practically impossible to find anything to eat here. I ended up getting a salad without the meat or cheese.

QT: I can't eat here! The calories are on the menu before the price. Ahh! I'll have water and lettuce please. We got a Gift Card to eat here. Service was excellent! Food not so great. We ordered some sampler appetizer thing: Chicken Nuggets: AKA Buffalo Wings (salty not spicy) Mozzeralla Sticks, Quesedilla (a lot of grease, and Spinach Dip with the most oil filled chips. Not the best. I ordered the Shrimp Wrap. It was alright too much terriyaki sauce. DH ordered the Philly Burger. He said it was alright. Either the breas was stale or overly toasted he wasn't sure.

This place is not worth going. The food, well is it just microwaved? The spinach dip appetizer I ordered for my daughter (dad/daughter night out) was a blob of food and the chips, yuck. Salty, just I couldn't eat more than two. My daughter (7 yrs old)loves our monthly eat outs and she loves spinach dip, so I was annoyed. Then our waiter while nice was not very friendly. I figured he was new, but no there were customers leaving saying goodbye to him by name. Hmmm. Maybe he doesn't like kids. I hate having to give 20% tips to meh service. The meal I ordered was actually tasty. But it too looked like it had old rice and not very good texture. Although it wasn't an expensive dish so I'm ok with "not terrific". I think it was called chicken salsa something. Now my daughters food was a steak with mashed potato and steamed vegetables. I cut up her meat and it was subpar. The veges looked overcooked but the potato was pretty good. I can tell right away when I cut up her meat in restaurants whether its gonna be subpar, and it was. All in all this place is subpar and I won't return, cause there just has to be better places for my money and for my little baby girl!

Came here after I was already hacked off because we drove from San Jose to eat at Cattlemen's and they were closed. Ok, well Applebee's is a safe bet, at least you know what to expect.... or not. This location blows. Should have listened to the reviews on Foursquare and kept on driving. At every other Applebee's I've been to there has always been something opening the door and greeting me immediately. Came in, restaurant pretty empty, no one at hostess stand so we wait and wait.... Oh thanks Jeebsus finally a host comes up. We ask for a table for four in the bar because we want to watch football and then ask for a kid's menu. Oh, you have a child? No genius I'm on a diet, for crying out loud, just bring me the menu and some dang crayons. He "suggested" three times that we sit at a different table because my friend wants to watch football. I wish I had a menu to hit him with. Finally he gave up when I threatened physical violence. Took a very long time for our waitress to arrive. Nice enough girl but took forever to get 3 ice teas and 2 beers. Almost passed out from dehydration waiting for a refill. Two of us ordered the special 10 sliders. Don't judge, we were freaking hungry. We were each brought out 8. When I brought this to the attention of our server, the manager Sherry rolls up and asks what the "problem" is. She says no you have 10 and then proceeds to count them. Ooops, Sherry's bad. Also, didn't get one of the items we ordered but where charged for it. Had to bring to our server's attention and her reply "oh, you didn't get this?" Really. Should have gone across the street to Chili's. Did I mention this place blows? It does.

Yes now I see why this place rated so low. I really could have gone without going to this place but my parents really wanted to go on a Tuesday night. We ordered the two for twenty four and my mom ordered her own dish. Service was OK to start but it took nearly 5 to 7 minutes for someone to come around and pick up our drink orders. Once or drinks were ordered to ice teas and water it took several more minutes for them to come to our table. A few minutes later we placed our appetizer order followed by our main dish orders. It seems like forever for our spinach dip to arrive when it did it tasted pretty good though. Our entrees were decent nothing to brag about. But to get a refill on drinks seems like we nearly had to put up a flag to get our work waiters attention. All in all food was mediocre, service was very lackluster. Service could have been better if it was sped up. Will not return do not recommend as a place to visit unless you are desperate for below subpar service and food.
