Good pizza it's nice option when you don't feel like cooking after a long day at the beach. They do close early so be sure to check the hours.

My wife and I spent a few days in Gualala recently and went to this place hoping for a good pizza after reading some of the reviews. We got there at 7 pm but we're rudely told "if you didn't call ahead and order a pizza for pick up then, sorry we're done for the night. Keep in mind their posted open hours were from 4 - 8 pm. We just kind of looked at the guy and he just stared back. Wow! Really!?! We're just done for the night, an hour before they were supposed to close! Ok then. So I can't comment on the pizza because we didn't have any! If you're in Gualala try Bones Roadhouse. Very good food, friendly staff.

Fantastic pizza! Never had pizza without sauce, got a mendicino, no complaints. Really tasty crust too.

After seeing great reviews on Yelp, we decided to have lunch at Upper Crust. It was fabulous. The new owner was very friendly so we enjoyed our visit. We have been visiting Gualala for many years and this place has dramatically improved with new ownership.

My husband and I try to visit Gualala once a year and we look forward to eating at the Upper Crust Pizzeria. Unfortunately, we have to wait until 4 pm when they open, but it's worth the wait. The crust is excellent, sauce tasty. The staff are always local and very friendly. We are planning our annual trip to Breaker's Inn in a few weeks and are looking forward to a great Pizza! The only downside is they do not serve beer!

DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! BEST PIZZA FOR MILES! Staff was super nice- love the new owners!

A tiny little place right on the highway with really good pizza and funny, pleasant staff (at least when we went there this weekend). I wasn't expecting anything much -- I was hungry and just wanted pizza, any pizza -- but the complicated order we put in over the counter was done perfectly, and the results were well-cooked and delicious. The only reason they lose a star is that the pace is too small and uncomfortable for sitting around in -- it's definitely more of a take-away / to go type of place in my opinion.

Great pizzia with new ownership. Been coming to Gualala for over 10 years.... this is the best ever. Change is good!

  • Rustymetal B.

good pizza. i liked the veggie pesto. i was at sea ranch and it was very convienient and close by. i had been to the other pizza place in gualala i thought ehh. so it was nice having a change. the salad was what you would expect from a pizza place, but the owner was freindly and the decor was nice and clean. its no cheeseboard in berkeley but then again nobody is.

  • Laurie A.

this was good pizza. generally, i dislike pizza. It's a lot of dough, not much flavor, just mediocre. This place was the exception. hot, good and tasty. only thing that could make it better is if they delivered

  • Lucky S.

They came highly-recommended, and for good reason - the pizza is great, the family running it is warm and friendly, and there is good beer on tap! It's all going on right in front of you when you order - Dad's tossing dough, mom's topping, and daughter's taking orders and filling in where needed - it's more like having a friend make you pizza while you wait. And the results are not disappointing. Fresh ingredients, great dough, and perfect cooking make a great pizza, and knowing that a great family are putting their all into it gives it another note of pleasure. Thanks, we'll be back!

  • T. W.

We stopped by for a take out. Service was fast, friendly. We had a veggie style..no complaints. Tasted great, priced right. I would recommend.

  • Paul A.

We had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. After a long day of travelling and sightseeing, we were looking for an easy dinner. We ordered a medium pizza and a calzone for pick-up. The pizza was over-cooked, the dough was chewy and the calzone was skimpy and mostly chewy dough. All for $32. We were disappointed to say the least. Amazingly, you're better off going to the pizza-Mexican place next to Gualala Supermarket!

  • Lindsey E.

Great customer service and pizza. The woman working the orders was buzzing around taking care of everyone and doing a thorough job. We would definitely come back if we are in the area again.

    (5)
  • Nicole B.

I love pizza and didn't think this place would meet my standards. I was wrong! The dough was crispy on the bottom and fluffy in the middle. The sauce had a nice little zing to it and the toppings tasted fresh. I will definitely come back next time we are in town.

    (4)
  • Nicole S.

Excellent service, excellent pizza!!! We went in with a group of 10 people and the girl behind the counter was super nice and the service was quick and she made really good pizzas! If I'm even in Gualala again I will go to this place again.

    (5)
  • Elise B.

One of the best Pizza's I've ever had. Location is small and you might have to wait. That's because the ingredients are so fresh and made to order. Lots of topping options. Good beer on tap while you wait. We ordered or pizza and salads to go. The salads were crisp and full of nice mix of vegies. Meat Lover was just the right ratio of meat and mushrooms. Margarita with basil was excellent! I would go back tomorrow if it wasn't 4 hours from my house. Hit this spot on vacation and will make it a point to go back. We were on vacation when we discovered this little gem. So good, my kids at it cold for breakfast the next morning. Always a good measure of a great pizza.

  • Marisa O.

Great pizza in a beautiful, relaxing area. Great service, very friendly. Owner was very accommodating after my husband left his sunglasses there, a rarity these days!! Will be back next time we are in town!

    (5)
  • Tim B.

Low-key vibe, tasty pizzas and salads, good beer on tap, generous pours on the wine, friendly service, and decent prices considering how remote Gualala is.

    (4)
  • Kelly M.

Wonderful pizza! Yum! We got the Mediterranean & it was very flavorful! Staying in Gualala for the weekend we might just go back again tomorrow. Fast service was a plus!

    (5)
  • Kurt W.

Very impressed with the pizza here....crust was good and tasted better than I had thought. This is a little hole in the wall that looks very popular for takeout as quite a few people came in to pick up orders.

    (5)
  • Amanda E.

This place is a small hole in the wall pizza place, but it was great! The pizza was fresh and not greasy. The crust was crispy and nice. The workers were great too. The inside is a little bit dated, but there are about 6 tables for you to eat at. Who cares what it looks like though, if your product is great!

    (5)
  • iris w.

Surprisingly good! Crust was decently good. The Pesto chicken that we ordered was better then expected. (definitely better then the Round Table, Domino of the world...)

    (3)
  • Larry W.

THINK some of these 5-star reviews are overblown. It is highly mediocre pizza, in our estimation. Good, not great! Essentials, crust & sauce are fine, and they have excellent fine-tuning - like a checklist for Extra sauce, Light on the cheese. EVERY pizza place should adopt that feature. We got EXACTLY what we ordered, which sets it a cut above many... Unlikely that we'll go back AND if we have to have a pizza in Gualala, it may be the way to go.

  • Jill Z.

Had pizza twice at Upper Crust while visiting sea ranch. First day we asked for two smalls so we could try two. He made us a large and split it in half bc he said it would be cheaper. So nice of him. We got the Mediterranean and the House. Both very good, but our last night we ordered a large Mediterranean bc it was our favorite. It was so fresh and tasty and reminded us of a pizza we loved in Chattanooga TN Be sure to get some of their ranch for the Mediterranean. It is the perfect compliment.

  • Trini H.

Came to Gualala for a weekend getaway and since there are not a lot of restaurant options we decided to try Upper Crust. It did not disappoint. We ordered a house salad and a small combo pizza. Both were very good. The salad was fresh and had a lot of yummy toppings. The pizza crust and sauce were delicious. We had a few pieces left over that were just as good the next morning :)

    (5)
  • Stan B.

Pizza was great, with a view. Came in 20 minutes before they were closing.. Let's face it, everything in this town closes at 8 it seems like... The girls had absolutely no problem serving us and insisted we should eat in instead of take out. Overall great in all aspects and tasted delish. Go

    (5)
  • Chris G.

Absolutely excellent Pizza. Some of best I have had anywhere. I either call my order in before I drive to town, or I order and then go shopping a Surf Market while the make it. Not cheap the the quality is outstanding.

    (5)
  • Nik L.

Great Pizza, good atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. I'll be going back before the week is over, and on my list for future visits for the area.

    (5)
  • Andrew H.

The other reviews were right. The pizza is pretty fantastic and there's not much else on offer food wise in Gualala. The only drawback is the size of the place. It's more like a take away joint with a few tables squeezed in!

    (4)
  • Amy J.

I've even convinced my husband that this is a great place to eat at Gualala and he's not a pizza fan (health nut!). While good dining options are limited in Gualala and therefore, we cook-in a lot, I can honestly say this is one place we eat at when we're up there. The pizza is thin-crust (the way they should be, in my opinion!) and just chewy enough. The owner is so friendly! I can't recommend this place enough!

    (5)
  • Sadie G.

Dude, this place is great. Surprisingly delicious pizza. I wasn't expecting much considering it is one of the few restaurants in Gualala, but it is bomb! Their salads aren't that great, but their pizza more than makes up for that. Do it!

  • Amber C.

Let me begin by saying that I LOVE pizza. I could eat it all day, everyday, for the rest of my life. That being said, my boyfriend and I have visited many different pizzerias, with him being very hard-pressed to truly appreciate anything not homemade. We ordered pizza from Upper Crust on our first night's stay at the Sea Ranch, and we both had the same exact reaction. This was seriously the BEST pizza we had ever had. So good that we broke our rule of only eating out one time during our stay at Sea Ranch, we ordered another pizza the night before we left. The staff was really kind and the prices were certainly reasonable for such quality. They don't deliver, but who can complain about the beautiful drive? I definitely recommend this pizzeria for your next visit!

  • Leslie E.

To preface, I am not a pizza lover. Like it, but doesn't come in the top 20 for last prison meal selections. Rock the house. I can't find pizza this good in most cities for those around me who have the pizza love going on. Seriously impressed. Place was packed. Wish had taken pics but we'll be back. Had ordered before and was just as good so should have reviewed then. Ordered three zas. One was pepperoni, jalapeños, pineapple, onions, and peppers. Others were veggie which had artichoke and other veg, and small cheese and bacon for the kid who is quite picky but ate it for the next few meals until gone. Crust was not overpowering or thick and doughy and all the ingredients were a perfect combination of oohhh and ahhh. Had me reconsidering my lack of love for pizza. If you aren't up for cooking and want some of the best pizza ever, do it. We are still talking about how spectacular this place is. If you're renting a house in the area, are a permanent fixture, or just passing through, stop off and get your pizza groove on. We ordered takeaway so cannot review service, but some family members have enjoyed nice cold bevies while waiting for the order.

  • Henry M.

OMG what a surprise! Pizza that has high quality ingredients, dough that is beyond expected, friendly people, fair prices. We eat pizza about once a year -- mainly because it is usually crap. This is the exception. I like watching dough being spun in the air. I like marinara sauce with outstanding Flavors. I like fresh ingredients evenly spread around the pie. I like the crust cooked nicely and all the ingredients done right. Whodathunk we would find this in Gualala!

  • Omar F.

Unexpected gem on the Sonoma Coast. The gluten-free pizza was crisp and brown and indistinguishable from a gluten bomb, and the calzone (alas, not gluten-free) with tomato, mushroom, and sausage was superbly crisp.

    (4)
  • Elsa M.

Wow! Great crust and pesto sauce is legit! For our last night in Sea Ranch, we wanted an easy dinner. We ordered the Margareta but substituted pesto for red sauce, so good! Pepperoni and mushroom was also good. And, friendly staff!!

    (5)
  • Myron H.

Upper Crust serves a mean pizza! By mean, I mean good. Excellent in fact. The crust is proper, toppings are fresh and the tomato sauce is slightly spicy. We had a large House Combo and were very satisfied. The pies are fresh, non-greasy and hand-made before your very eyes. This pizza is way, way above your average take-out. A selection of good draft beers was a surprise. Limited seating. We'll be back!

  • Amanda C.

Walking up this place smelt amazing! I always judge a pizza joint by the smell outside. I ordered the meat lovers, added pineapple of course, and an order of wings. The pizza was great, they do a really good job on their crust. It's very old school pizza parlor not chain pizza crust. The wings were good to, often when you get wings from a pizza place they are suuuuper fatty, not here. The customer service was great too, I think there was a big party in front of us and they were able to squeeze us in between their order and we only waited 20 min. Over all, great place, I will definitely be back next time we are in town.

  • Crystal C.

One of my favorite places to eat when we're in the area! They answer their phone consistently and the staff are super friendly in person or on the phone. Their crust is really crispy and tasty, ingredients are fresh and not too skimpy, and they have great gourmet selections (we love the Pesto Chicken). Recently discovered they they have a gluten free crust that is just $2 more than a regular pizza. That's WAY cheaper than most places charge. The prices are fair considering the quality, quantity, and price range for the area. There are a few small, bar-style tables so you can eat inside if you want to, but it is best to take it to go and enjoy back at your cabin or hotel (or on the beach!). Only drawback is the hours, they're pretty much only open for dinner. If you're hungry at lunch time, you're out of luck.

Ate here while camping hands down best pizza fresh quality ingredients .Good old fashioned look and feel of a real pizza parlor

First time to Gualala. We here about this pizza place from guy running the hotel we stayed at 'Surf Motel'. Great place to stay btw. We ate inside; theres also pick nick tables outside. The pizza to me was amazing. The sauce had the best flavor and just the right amount. I like it when a pizza place isn't afraid to use a good amount of sauce. This place adds to the coolness of Gualala.

The wife and I were staying at the Seacliff on the bluff, The front desk recommend it we had ordered over the phone for take out but we arrived and asked if we could eat in they all obliged. Everyone at pizzeria was very nice and friendly the pizza was average. I would eat here again

So nice to know there's a good pizza place around when we travel to Sea Ranch. My family likes the pizza and we enjoy supporting the local businesses.

  • Lacey C.

Husband and I were craving good pizza for days after reading all of the awesome reviews for this place...showed up at 7pm on a Thursday night, waited 10 min to get to the counter to order, and the gal said "we ran out of dough." How do you run out of dough, on a Thursday, during peak traveling season?! Crazy. So we never tried it. Be sure and get there early or call ahead, there's not many options to eat around here.

  • Funky B.

This is a great little place. Enjoyed a high quality pizza (chicken pesto) and a salad made with very fresh vegetables. Friendly service from three young ladies who seemed happy to be there. Try it, you can't miss with this one.

    (4)
  • John P.

Pizza was OK and certainly quick, but nothing to write home about. Restaurant is very small with only 4 or 5 tables, so it fills up quickly - I think most of their business must be take-out.

  • Jessica T.

What a gem! I have been coming to Gualala for years & this place has made a complete turn around I gave up on this pizza a long time go. I heard they had new owners so decided to give them another chance. I am so glad I did. It is seriously the best pizza I have had! I even waited to give them a review until I had been more than once. I have stopped here 3 times since the new owners took over and each time I am more and more impressed. They continue to update the inside of the restaurant making it such a pleasant place to sit, stare at the ocean & eat delicious food. The owner (mark) is so welcoming. He is right back there with his staff making the pizzas. The ingrediants are super fresh & the crust (sourdough I believe) is to die for. I highly recommend making this a stopping point when in Gualala or even if you are just driving through.

Since new people took over its horrible my son ordered 2 large pizza took over an hour to get then when he got them home it was the wrong order worst pizza ive ever had won't go there again

  • Gumbo J.

Excellent pizza! This is a small mom and pop pizzeria and it doesn't disappoint. They have California brews on tap including the local north coast brews and plenty of other drink selection. They only have a small dining area, so take out may be the better option. The staff seems really nice as well. The small is just the right amount of food for two people. If you like thick crust pizza you are out of luck, they have an excellent crispy thinner crust. Not a cracker crust but thin. We are glad we stopped.

  • Edi B.

Super delicious and it's so very right when it's cheesy and hot and you've just spent the day hiking around the beaches in chilly weather. It's like a hug on the inside ;)

  • Spencer R.

Simply put, this place is for you if you're looking for delicious food, a clean restaurant, and a friendly staff. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. We chatted up the owner as he made our pizza and were pleasantly surprised by the quality. We ordered a custom pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts. Perfect thickness with a good soft to crunchy ratio and not too much grease. The only thing that could be improved upon were the salads - caesar in our case. They were pre-packaged and something you'd expect to get from the quick grab section of the grocery store. Since people come here to get pizza, it's not a deal breaker. I'd just suggest getting a bigger pizza and skipping the salad. Would return for another delicious pie if in the neighborhood.

    (4)
  • Hanson J.

Excellent pizza and friendly staff! We were told to expect our pizza to take 25 minutes, but it was done in less time even with a last-minute order change before they started making it. We noticed the staff was great with kids and neighborhood regulars too. One gotcha: there was no "Upper Crust Pizza" sign on the building when we visited, but our phones got us to the right place with GPS.

  • Terri W.

Um... Who would have thought that this quality of pizza would be found in northern California? Yummmers? First of all, they don't open until 4pm. We arrived at 3pm and were extremely saddened. We ended up at trinks which not only paled in comparison but found us at 6pm with waaaay overstuffed bellies bleh. We ordered the Gio pizza with ground beef, peperoni, sausage, onion, garlic and sriracha. Wooo nelly. That pizza was good. After eating 1/2 a blackened chicken sandwich and half a cheeseburger at Trinks (not a great experience) we decided to swing by upper crust to get a small pizza to go for a snack later. That poor pizza never stood a chance and neither did we. It was halfway devoured in the car on route home and was quickly polished off thereafter. Bold flavors that complemented each other well. May be visiting again tomorrow.

  • Josh T.

Good, but not great; way too expensive. Picture Round Table pizza and 10% more costly. For $40+, we got one large pizza, two small (and stale) side salads..... We may get the pizza again, but only for lack of other options.

    (3)
  • Jackie B.

Great pizza, friendly staff. Went here twice on a recent short stay in Gualala. Got the Western pizza each time, how can you pass up cashews on a bbq pizza? Recommend giving it a try at least once. I recommend getting your food to go as there isn't much room inside. Helpful tip: talked to the owner, and he said if the flag is outside in the front he's open for business regardless of what the hours may say here or on their website.

    (5)
  • Jessie F.

Besides the amazing pizza, I have to tell you that the owner Mark was the most warm and hospitable person in the whole town of Gualala, hands down. He and his staff (girl who drinks rockstars (sorry I didn't catch her name!)) went over and beyond to help us with directions to find oysters. Really down to earth people serving great food is what will make me come back here. Thanks Mark and Rockstar!

Delicious pizza! Will eat here again any time in Gualala. If you like blue cheese, try the blue cheese chicken pizza - YUM!

    (4)
  • Donna M.

Excellent pizza, friendly service. A favorite pitstop for us. Spot is small. They may want to make sure individual locals do not take up the large table in front of the TV for a seating of one when families of 4 -6 enter and have no place to sit themselves.

    (5)
  • Bonnie M.

Great spot! The pizza was wonderful and the staff were very nice. We just returned from a vacation in Italy so our pizza expectations are quite high - this place more than surpassed them. Next time we are in the area, we'll be back. Do keep in mind that this is a relatively small place - just a few tables - and it is quite popular. You will likely have a wait, but the pizza is more than worth it...

    (5)
  • Greg F.

Excellent crust and the pizza was made with care. We had combo of sun dried tomato, black olive, mushroom. No left overs!

  • David S.

I love great service almost as much as great food. This place offered both to my family. We were greeted promptly by the owner and the front desk staff, both were friendly without being patronizing. They led us through what they offered and then waited as we decided what to order. This is no small wait as there are 7 of us. Once we ordered we sat down in their cozy sitting area. I got to hear them deal with one of 'those' customers. The ones that never explain exactly what they want, they expect people to be mind readers. The customer didn't explain it right until the owner guessed what he wanted. I wasn't too upset as the first mistake ended up being a nice pizza appetizer to a nice pizza dinner. We had the buffalo wings. I tend to not like wings done in an oven and I did not try these but the kids thought they were pretty good and they are bigger wing snobs than I. The pizza was very good. The sourdough crust is very good, The sauce is flavored right, not a canned sauce. There was the perfect amount of sauce. This was true as well with the BBQ pizza sauce and the pesto sauce. The ingredients were fresh and well sourced, especially on the chicken pesto pizza. We will hit the Upper Crust every year on our way through town. The food won us over, The service did as well. It is nice that we get both on a visit.

What a pleasant surprise to find such great pizza on the North Coast. Very friendly staff. We stayed at the Breakers Inn across the street and had dinner twice from here. One night pizza and the other night a calazone. I spend a lot of time on the road so it's always great to have good takeout that you can take back to the room. So next time you are in the area, get a pizza, head back to the motel, open and drink wine, enjoy the view and chill.

We had a horrific experience at Shoreline restaurant and didnt finish any of our dinner there. Walked over to the pizza shop and life became good again. Friendly people working there willing to chat it up with us, Giants game on TV. Pizza was really good.

Great pizza! Found this place via Yelp and another winner.

    (5)
  • Mike T.

Well under new ownership it started out great. However with the shortage of GOOD competent workers the service levels and quality soon went down. Does greed show sooner or later in tourist season? Raising prices and lowering of service levels and quality of pizza dooms local businesses. It could improve as tourist season ends?

    (1)
  • C H.

Great pizza! Lots of local charm, friendly service, and the house combo was so tasty! Definitely coming back here again when in town :)

    (4)
  • Mike W.

Hard to say what was better; the pizza or the witty banter of owners and locals - both made for a very nice dinner. I was staying at the Breakers Inn right across the way and it's nice to stroll over for a bite. Four stare may be generous based on the pizza alone, but the whole experience is fun.

  • Izzy Z.

We were lucky to get in. We were staying at the Breakers Inn across the street (Also an amazing place with a great view of the sea). We came in to Upper Crust at around 8 PM. The owner was just about to close as we came in. He was nice enough to make one last pie togo for two hungry travelers. We chatted and got to know a little about Al. Soon after the pizza was ready and Al made sure we had all we needed as far as napkins and plastic utensils. I'm a San Franciscan and know good cuisine when I taste it. This pie is the real thing. Sourdough crust is the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. The sauce is rich and tangy. We had the sausage and onion. Good crumbled styled sausage. This guy does the onions just right. In my opinion onions should be a sweet alternative to the cloying flavor of pineapple. At upper crust the onions are thin sliced and cooked to the apex of sweetness. Stop by and pick up a pie. The location is not the star show, it's the excellent pizza you will find here.

Best pizza place nearby! Ever since it went under new ownership, the place has really improved. It's been fixed up with new flooring, TVs, and tables. More beverage choices than there was with the previous owner. The people here are friendly.

This place has great pizza and an array of toppings from which to choose. I would recommend calling ahead to order, as the wait times can be long. The crust and sauce were delicious!

Pizza was ok but not awesome they hand toss it which is cool but overall the woman begin the counter was kind the man wasn't to friendly and just a par or a little mediocre meal

  • S M.

The pizza was excellent. The salads were very good, even though they gave us the wrong dressing. The decor/ambience? Um....glad that we got everything to go. There was parking in front of the restaurant and in the big parking lot out back.

Great pizza. Nice to find something so good so far from everything.

  • Anne E.

Sorry, but I don't get why all the good reviews. Maybe it was just an off night but our pizza (sausage, shrooms and onions) was very bland and the crust was like cardboard. I was expecting too much maybe?

Absolutely delicious!!! Pizza comes across as Round Table style, not soggy, lots of flavor, hand tossed dough--just an excellent pizza for an excellent price! Great service, very friendly staff--A definite must when traveling thru Gualala!

best pizza and service! my husband and i went up to gualala for a weekend trip. we stayed at the breakers and noticed the pizza place across the street. since it was a rainy day, a hot pizza sounded glorious. we chatted with the staff and drank a few beers while waiting. everyone was super friendly and gave us tips stuff to do on our weekend trip. when the pizza came it was absolutely delicious! the best part was the sour dough crust, omg yum! we liked it so much that we decided to go back our second night in town! but we were out having cocktails for so long we lost track of time and by the time we walked to upper crust the lights were out and the doors were locked. we were so bummed out! but the owner came walking across the street, remembered us from the night before and offered to re-open just for us! i mean that just doesn't happen in the city! we felt like regulars after just one night! and the second night's pizza was just as delicious as the first! while waiting for the pizza the second night we were chatting with the owner about his amazing sour dough crusts. he offered for us to come back the next morning before we left town and he would give us some dough to take home! we left that night with our pizza raving about how nice people are in the town, and especially at upper crust! the next morning we wondered if the owner would remember that he offered us the dough, so we did a slow drive by and there he was waving us in! he spent over a half hour constructing a make-shift cooler out of a box and bags of ice for us to transport the dough back to the city with us. i mean, he took so much freaking time and effort to do this for us! we were totally blown away! we made pizza (yes for the third night in a row) the night we got home and it was totally delicious using his sour dough. but, man, not as delicious as it was up there. we decided that we are going to make gualala a yearly trip. stay at the breakers inn and then pizza every night! all in all, this is our favorite pizza place ever. even more than all the choices we have in san francisco. hands down. best place ever.

LOVED this pizza. The place was very clean and the gentleman at the front counter was great. I love that you can watch the staff make the pizza in front of you. There was no cutting corners with frozen dough at this place. Everything was fresh. We just ordered the plain pepperoni and olive pizza. When we got the food it was perfect. We took the food to go back to our motel and found it to be absolutely perfect. The crust was baked to perfect and the sauce wasn't overpowering like other pizzerias. The pepperoni had a great flavor too! We wanted to order one to go to bring back home to our kids but a 5 hours drive wouldn't do the pizza justice once they could eat it. But we will be back! ; )

If you like thin crust - Round Table style pizza, this is the place for you in Gualala. Not as fancy, not as pretty. It is a small town restaurant in a small town, don't expect too much. Pizza was good, price was fair. So amongst it's peers, its a 4-star.

Simply the best pizza. Our habit is to walk in and order, then go next door to the Gualala Hotel bar for a glass of wine while our pie cooks. Then take it home and enjoy. I usually order more than enough so I can have it cold for lunch the next day.
