What a great spot. Reasonable prices for 2014 bistro food. Terrific pizza crust. Wonderful Caesar salad and desserts. Fresh ingredients from top suppliers. Lots of interesting wines by the glass. Wow!

I dined at Cosmo's last Friday evening with my fiancée and my mom. We wanted to try it out since it wasn't too far from home and there was no wait when we phoned in our reservation. First off, the parking lot is very small, it's located in the same shopping center as Subway and Time Warner Cable, you may end up parking on the street if it gets really busy. Anyway, the décor was very nice and simple and very welcoming in the outside. I didn't get to really peek in the inside, but the outside seating seemed much larger than the inside. They do provide bread and focaccia, but we were expecting it to be warm, but it wasn't so we were a little disappointed. Each of us ordered something different. I ordered the Seafood Linguini, my mom ordered Fettuccine Carbonara and my fiance ordered the Lasagna. The Lasagna was o.k....not as great as some say it is...it's just drenched in a really thick sauce so the taste of the lasagna was just lost. My fiancé said it was a little bland without the surrounding sauce. My mom's Carbonara was better, the Fettuccine noodles were good and the sauce was decent, had much better flavor than the Lasagna. Mines would've been great if there wasn't so much dirt from the shellfish. Maybe someone forgot to scrub them before cooking? Anyway, as I was eating it, there was some crunch to it. Lastly, I feel that our food must have been sitting out too long before they brought it out to us because it was just a tad colder than warm. It's a new restaurant so I'm sure they will take everyone's opinions into consideration and will improve. Not sure if I'd go back anytime soon. It's a tad bit pricey for what you get as others have noted.

Was overwhelmed with the excellent food! Have been back twice! Had a large party of 9 and the service was excellent and very attentive! The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food! Very impressed and will be back many more times! Thank you for this excellent restaurant!

After reading some of the reviews on this thread I'm kinda wondering if I ate at the same place. Simply put Cosmo's knocked it out of the dam park! I must be crazy lucky but I haven't had Italian food this good in years and I've been around. I won't spend a lot of time of the beer list or the vessels they are served in like some posters here, by the way the IPA's are well chosen and it was a pleasure to have my beer correctly served in an approipate glass. The atmosphere was quaint and service is impeccable. I even found a few hidden treasures. I'll give one hint, the impressionist art adorning the east wall. Can you see the faces? How many faces and can you name the artist? Ok it's getting late so let's get down to business. I've been to most notable Italian restaurants in Southern California and even more throughout Italy. Cosmo's rates in the top ten Italian restaurants in Southern California. My only regret is not finding out about this fantastic bistro sooner. Great job Cosmo! Kudos!

Glendora is a nice town to live in. Unfortunately it has not been a destination for a great dining experience. Fine restaurants are few and far between. Recently opened Cosmo's Bistro can join, and possibly, lead the small group of Glendora restaurants offering interesting menus, well prepared food, very good service, pleasant décor, and a totally attractive dining experience. Our son and his family invited us to celebrate my wife's birthday. We made reservations for seven pm. Promptly at seven we arrived and although the restaurant was quite crowded our table was ready and waiting for us. White linen table cloths and red napkins, nice touch! Our waiter was prompt, knowledgeable, informative, and had a good sense of humor. The menu was basically Italian/American and it all looked good to us. We ordered different items and were all sure that we had the "best dish". Luckily, there were two items on the menu that I use to evaluate the quality of new restaurants. French Onion Soup, and Short Ribs. The soup was rich tasting and full bodied without the often bugaboo of onion soup...too much salt. Almost half the cup was full of finely sliced onion. The melted cheese was good but not exceptional. The ribs were exquisite! Melt in your mouth, full of flavor. I could have them every day. The mashed potatoes were truly mashed and the spinach had a fine flavor with no trace of bitterness. My wife's Orecchiette (little ears pasta) was perfect. Just the right amount of spices to enhance all the taste buds. My daughter-in-law's Chicken Marsala was the big surprise. A perfect blend of tender, moist chicken, spices, and vegetables. I'm ordering that on our next visit. My grandson ordered lasagna. The portion was huge and the nine year old devoured every bit of it. We were told by him that it was the best lasagna he ever had. My son and our four-year- old granddaughter shared the penne pasta. Not a bit was left on the plate. Everyone was completely satiated and satisfied with their marvelous meals. The wine list has a full line of wines suited for everyone's price range and not overpriced. Cosmo's has some great quality wines on the list, including one of my favorite labels...Stags Leap at a very favorable price. In addition, to further help the customer besides being separated between red and white the wines are also defined as "sweeter" or "drier." A nice touch for the relatively uniniated! While having our coffee the hostess brought out a "birthday treat." Bread pudding actually made from challah, topped with ice cream, whipped cream, and a candle. We shared the bread pudding. It was one of the best bread puddings that I've eaten in California. Not quite up to the standards of New Orleans, but "damn good."

It has taken us a while to visit Cosmos. My wife's brother is a fan and our son is too. At Christmas our son and his family gave us a gift certificate for Cosmos and we finally decided to give it a try last evening. The restaurant is fairly small, about 10 to 12 tables inside, I did not actually take the time to count. There is a small outdoor patio that on Sunday evening had a guitaritst playing and singing. Since it was still pretty warm at 6:30 and we were celebrating an anniversary we choose to dine inside where it was both cooler and a quiet. The interior is nicely decorated in a simple manner. Our waitress was a lovely and attentive young lady by the name of Kaitlyn. She was attentive but not hovering. The bread served was fresh and nicely warmed and was delivered with a mixture of olive oil and basalmic. We took our time studying the menu and finally made our choices. My wife opted for the salmon in a lemon sauce, served on mushroom risotto with fresh asparagus. The salmon had a crisp exterior while the inside was still nice and moist. The sauce was fantastic. We always sample each other's dinner to have an idea of what is served. My dinner selection was the braised short ribs, served with garlic spinach (yum!) and mashed potatoes. Wine selection was for a bottle of pinot noir (best value is a bottle, drink a glass and a half and take the rest home). I was not familiar with any of the pinots on the wine list and Kaitlyn suggested the Paul Dolan 2012 which turned out to be a good call. Pinot is a wine that really has a wide variety and this was quite fruity, light, yet not sweet. It worked well for both the salmon and short ribs. We were comfortable with just the bread an main dish but order tiramisu for desert to go. Later in the evening my wife dived into the tiramisu and said it was fantastic. We will return.

Some of our friends wanted to go here on labor day weekend. Don't get confused with the Kosmo's in San Dimas on Route 66,( Note: Spelling) I ordered a Pizza w/ Italian Sausage on it. This Pizza tasted very good. the other folks ordered Spaggitti and meat balls. My wife wanted dessert (extra), a Chocolate cake. Desserts and Salads are Extra (not included with meal) They had gentleman on a guitar playing outside for the people eating outside. Some of his songs reminded me of John Cougar Melloncamp. There were no smokers in the patio--Great!! Only one problem: We wanted to split the check (each couple pay separately) they said ok. their Computer had problems and we waited about 20 min. to get the corrected billing. Located in front of the Time Warner office (Behind restaurant) on the North Side of Route 66, near a Subway.

After our 1st attempt 3 months ago to try this new restaurant in our neighborhood and being told they were closing early on a Saturday night (9 instead of 10) my husband and I decided to give it one more try. We also took my sister so 3 of us ordered enough dishes to get a good idea of the food. I'm puzzled by the great reviews. After mulling over our meal, this place is ok, my expectations were high. Loved the look of the aranchini, taste was ok more on the bland side. The charcuterie plate was a meh, prosciutto, regular salami, artichoke hearts, big block of cheese with marmalade style onion, roasted red pepper. Was hoping for more charcuterie. Still enjoyable, but would not order again. The Bruschetta, my sister liked the variety, the one with the pork was the weakest. My husband liked his spaghetti and meatballs, simple red sauce fresh tasting (same one used for the arrancini) I had the penne with pesto chicken etc. That was a disaster! The plate had a pool of oil at the bottom which was visible when the plate came to the table - an immediate turnoff. Throwing tons of food on a plate still does not fix inundating the food with pesto - did anyone in the kitchen just look at the plate? Finally there was a fly that would pester the table from time to time. Would I go back? Hmmm... yes to try the pizza, maybe sit outside and bring the puppies.

I really hope that I caught the staff on a bad day. Because there really wasn't much to complement on my visit other than the remodel job on the building and that the restrooms are accessed inside the restaurant now (the old Sergios had the door outside of the building). One thing I absolutely hate is for a restaurant to leave their doors open when they're open for business. It brings the flies inside and the day I was there they were everywhere. If I were eating on the patio I would expect them. But inside the restaurant and on my food? That's unacceptable. On top of this, a good portion of the staff seemed more interested chit chatting and talking about things on their phones than taking care of business. Our waiter, however, did his best and was prompt with water and our food. As far as the food goes it was just OK. Nothing exceptional. Just acceptable and overpriced for what it was. I was really disappointed and really wanted to like the place. I liked what they did with the old Sergios building and had been curious to try it for awhile. Now I know. :(

Love the ambiance: Fresh, bright, clean, contemporary decor, and a wonderfully inviting patio with ceiling fans and bright fuchsia bougainvillea. High quality, delicious food: the chicken club sandwich was super tasty with garlic aioli, avocado, grilled chicken, and thick slices of bacon. The bread was excellent. I'd love to know where the buy it. It was a ciabatta that was light and crispy yet substantial. And--oh my!--the garlic fries with truffle oil are hand cut and simply the best fries I've ever had. And I love garlic fries, so that's saying a lot. :-) The wait staff was very friendly and helpful also, which made for a five-star experience. My mom, sister, and cousin come here regularly and the server recognized my mom and even remembered what she ordered last time. That put a smile on mom's face. This was my first visit but I'll definitely be back.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. It has a perfect outdoor patio that makes you feel like you're not sitting right on foothill. But the food and service are OUTSTANDING and are what really set this place apart. Found this place on a whim and we keep coming back. Everything on the menu is amazing. Katelynn was our server and she was friendly, warm, accommodating!

It's pretty good. We sat on the patio. They they credit and there is plenty of parking spaces. Limited indoor seating. We had a large party and they didn't offer bread. We came for lunch. They are inflexible about the menu ( I asked if we could order off the dinner menu on the back). Soda drinks are by the can. Lemonade and iced tea were great and had refills. The family all basically got either lasagna or the Alfredo ( healthy portions). Pesto penne was good, the Cobb salad was good, steak salad was great, pulled pork sandwich was great. My favorite was the baked Brie appetizer.

While the dinner here is amazing, their breakfast is also outstanding! I guess most people don't think of it as a breakfast place because when I went I was the only one there but the food was delicious! Nothing beats a good breakfast and this place has got it.

Heard great things and experienced terrible service. Had a reservation and got there 1 minute early and they had to clean tables and get chairs. After giving us menus it took 10 minutes to get someone to explain that the sampler meals that they advertise was all gone. That was the reason we went to try this restaurant because it had been recommended to us and they advertise on line. 10 minutes later someone took our drink orders. After another 10 minutes after not being attended to we got up and left. We were a party of 5 and will not ever return. 30 minutes with terrible service!!!

The atmosphere was amazing. The service was great. We had a wait for our food but it finally came. We had the lasagna and Parm eggplant. The food was fresh but it was a little one note. We would still recommend this for date night.

Customer service is amazing! I been here two days in a row. I have late lunches and work at Sampa, so besides the convenience and the food it works out for me. Indoors is nice as well as the outdoor patio. They do very well in setting, relaxing, music and ambiance sets the mood! Day 1 I had the baby spinach salad. Walnuts and a homemade glaze with feta cheese embedded in a big serving of baby spinach's = good dish! I also had the Stuffed Pablano in a mild tomato sauce = delicious. I forget her name and its on the tip of my tongue, she was a tall blonde sweet female who served me - she did great and making sure I was comfortable and accommodated. Day 2 Im addicted to the baby spinach salad, so I had it again. This time i went with the Quatro Brushetta, 4 brushettas with different toppings. Hugo was an amazing and splendid person to talk to, i forgot he was a server just because his personality stood it. Upon paying and leaving 2nd day, met some of the staff. The chef welcomed himself and another staff member as well. Very soft spoken and amazing people. I am definitley looking forward to coming back! TO be honest the prices are cheap for being an italian bistro. I expected to pay more than 20 for what it was. Overall, great food, great people, and great bistro! Pictures I put in the gallery.

Hats off to the crew at Como's, we held my mothers 70th Birthday there last night, we had 50 people and they handled the crowd flawlessly. Mom had always wanted to have a paella party, which Como's specializes in for large parties, the paella was spot on (tons of shrimp, scallops, clams, sausage, chicken, micelles, and more) and a huge hit with all our guest. My wife and I like to have dinner/lunch at Como's at least once or twice a month, always a good meal with excellent service, so we had no fear they could handle our large party, they proved us right!!! Great food, service, and location... I recommend you head on down for an evening of good eats.

Great service by Amy, doesn't smell as previously reported by yelpers, wonderful atmosphere, remodeled & revived, music was nice and the right volume & not over powering, restrooms are inside now & very clean. We had the side house salad ($4.95) & Ceasar salad, both could easily be shared by 2 or 4 people! Cup of Leek & Potato soup - wonderful on the cool night, fig & prosciutto pizza ($16.95) was a combination of tart, savory and sweet. I ordered it without arugula, personally salad doesn't belong on a pizza. I do wish the prosciutto was cut into smaller pieces. All & all my first time dining there tonight and I give it a 5 star. I couldn't find a reason to be less than 5. I will be back again!

Fresh ingredients, solid menu, perfectly prepared food, friendly service, large portions... absolutely great experience. The best restaurant that I have eaten at in Glendora in more than 40 years. The meal started with a mix of warm fresh baked french and focaccia breads along with olive oil and vinegar. I had the pasta with pesto and loved it. The chicken was moist. The pesto sauce was flavorful. The portion size was huge. I look forward to eating leftovers tomorrow. My wife had the pepperoni pizza, which is tough to screw up, but equally tough to make stand out. Well, this one stood out. High quality ingredients, perfectly proportioned on a crust that was at the sweet spot between thick and thin. We shared a dessert called a Fat's Domino Crepe. This is now on my list of favorite desserts. It is was the perfect sweet finish to a savory meal The crepe is stuffed with blueberries and bananas and topped with pastry cream and french vanilla ice cream. I cannot wait to comeback and try the pasta carbonara.

I wish I could give this bigger ratings but my bf and I were a bit disappointed by the service or lack of. They apologized to several tables around us for the slow service due to being so busy and a birthday party outdoors. But it took us about 15 minutes to just get our beverage orders and another 20 minutes til we actually finally got to order. In which that time I heard a table behind mention they hadn't gotten their drinks or bread yet. A couple next to us also had some issues with placing an order and not getting their wine or dinner salads in a timely manner. We received our bread basket and the delicious oil/vinegar plate. Bread was fresh and delicious. Food was delicious and the presentation was nice. We were asked if we wanted fresh grated parm on our dishes and the waiter grated a mess of cheese on my dish, including some flying on to the table and on my lap. I laughed it off, because hunger kept us from biting his arm off. We were not once checked on or asked if we needed refills. and our sodas came IN A CAN. Seems a bit pricey.... and I think I would much rather prefer to give my loyalty and patronage to Spaghetti Eddies. At least I can say "I went"

This place is awesome! I came in for a quick lunch and they accommodated me with the white wine sauce I requested for my linguine instead of the red. Hugo was super friendly and welcoming and for that...I promised him that I would come back for Saturday brunch

First time here. It's dinner time. Looks very nice...its new. Outside is pleasant as well. Some of the pictures on Yelp is what brought me here. The free bread looks great. The herb bread looked so good but lacked on the flavor big time. The regular bread is good. The water is cucumber water. It's an acquired taste. We weren't really given a choice as to if we wanted it or not. The waiter was nice, seemed informed but didn't feel like he was enjoying his job. Not getting a cheery friendly outgoing vibe from any of the wait staff that's been to our take do far. Took a bit of time to refill our bread. They said their ovens were filled with pizzas so it would be a bit longer. We order the baked brie. Presents well. It's pretty tasty. The apple chutney was ok. I was very disappointed at the size. For almost $15 it's VERY not worth it. We also ordered the Caprese Pizza & 4 Cheese. The crust is light, and it cooked well but doesn't hold flat...limped over. Both pizzas tasted good. Same pizza down the street less than 1/2 price Tuesday Happy Hour. They sell soda by the can @ $2.50. Yikes. Overall it is a bit pricy and I was getting mixed signals on whether it's fine dining or more casual.

Meh. First off I think our general SGV area has a SERIOUS lack of great food. I was very happy to hear good things of Cosmos. I am just not impressed. Granted, I've only been once to the Restaurant and once tried the catering meals. Service is good. Sweet girl. Wine selection is pretty good. Menu is okay. The many dishes I sampled were nothing special. I soooooo wanted to love it here so I'll probably even come dine here again just to confirm my mediocre conclusion or to be won over. So many decent reviews but I then wonder if people truly know good food. I've worked in some kick ass Italian restaurants and those had really good food. Glendora needs more! Chicken Marsala was almost dry, bland and a few bites were salt flavored only. Boring potatoes. My friends dishes were just ok too. Nothing different and exciting. The lasagna had some great flavors in it but the plate was sloppy and still nothing you couldn't make at home. I appreciate perfect execution by Chefs who care about every dang dish leaving their kitchen and creativeness and didn't quite feel that here. Yet :)

My daughter and I ate there shortly after they opened and it was really bad. Although the service was quite good, there were flies and gnats everywhere (inside seating), the place literally smelled of sewage, and the food was just bleh. Never again, we said. Well, jump ahead to yesterday, and we decided to give it another chance. We each had the pesto chicken penne pasta. The portions were great and tasted delicious. Bread was good, cucumber/lemon water was a refreshing change, and the service was spot on. I'm not the biggest fan of fruity iced tea (especially when the menu states iced black tea), but the place has improved so much since our first visit long ago that the iced tea issue is really small potatoes.

This is a very quaint bistro, perfect for a lunch date on such a beautiful day. The environment is the highlight... The food was "ok". Don't get me wrong, it was good ... just not great. The pulled pork was on point! That dish is a "must try" if you do visit. The small plate of shrimp stuffed mushrooms are also delicious! The miss on this trip for me were the lettuce cups. They just had no real flavor...bummer. The service was good and although I didn't try any, they did seem to have a good wine selection. I would DEFINATELY visit again

Great food. Horrible experience. Eaten here a few times. Made reservations for Mother's Day. Came in and wait 45 minutes. Told the hostess when we arrived. Sat 7 parties (5+ groups) before us. We were a group of 6. Asked a few times time wait. Response was I don't know. Called and spoke to management. Their response was thank you. Not sorry. Not we apologizes. Just thank you. I understand your busy, but come on. We made reservations. We showed up early even. Again. Great food. Poor service.

We were greeted immediately by a member of the wait staff so that served as a good first impression for us. We asked to review the menu before accepting a seat and a number of items caught our eye so we took a table in the patio on an early Sat evening. Kate was our server and she was friendly and sincere. We split the short-rib philly sandwich, green salad and side of truffle garlic fries. Fresh baked bread with oil/balsamic is complimentary starter. All was delicious. House dressing is very good and the salad portion was generous. Short-rib was as tender as it gets with great flavor and au jus on the side. Pretty good wine and beer selection but we especially enjoyed the cucumber infused complimentary water. Very refreshing and just really satisfying. Prices are fair for the quality and quantity. No complaints...We will try breakfast next.

The FOOD gets 5 stars. The Good. When you exit your car, there is a strong smell of sewage: The Bad. There are abundant flies inside the dining area: The Ugly! Seriously, I have now dined here twice (hoping that my initial visit was a one-off). Disappointingly, no. 1-The parking lot has a sewage leak somewhere. Both times, my friends and I have noticed the strong smell while we walked through the (very small) parking lot. 2-The table in the left front corner (farthest from the wait station) is uncomfortably small. I'm an average size person (5'8") and found sitting at the table really awful (fighting footsies with my friends). Bad. They've put three tables along that wall with a small wine rack... it would be more comfortable to remove one booth, or slide the whole thing north along that wall. 3-Flies. Both times (we dined indoors) there were multiple flies. In the windows buzzing around. On the table. Landing on us. We're shoo'ing them away. They return. Very distracting. One can't help but wonder if the smell of sewage nearby is attracting more than one restaurant's share of pests (it also makes you wonder what they're dealing with in the kitchen). Again, I had hoped my initial visit was their 'bad day' so-to-speak. But the flies were even more abundant today (including the dead one pressed between my table, and the wall). This time at the booth nearest the wait station. 4-The food is DELICIOUS and well portioned. Both times i have been EXTREMELY satisfied with my meal (lunch). The food was hot, flavorful and promptly arrived. I had a delicious turkey sandwich for my first visit (my friends had two different pasta dishes). I had the chicken caesar today (my friends had the Bistro Philly). Both times we had the Crème brûlée cheescake for dessert. The food is 5-Star for quality, quantity and speed. 5-The wait staff is polite and professional. There was a modest lunch crowd and I would give the wait staff a 5-Star as well. The low rating is really about the 'vibe'. It doesn't feel clean because of the smell and flies. Today my friends coffee arrived in a CONSPICUOUSLY dirty cup (with some black - looked-like-grease - smeared down the side of the cup - a smudge roughly the size of a thumb print). So while the food would normally have me coming back for more, I don't see myself returning.

It was our first time coming here and my parents second. We were super excited to try this place as we have been Glendora residents since I was little so a new restaurant opening was a huge deal. Everyone loved the food and the cannolis were amazing. Unfortunately I can't tell you personally how anything tasted because I had an allergic reaction to the water I was given. Apparently they soak cucumbers in their water which caused my reaction. I really wish they would tell people ahead of time so they don't have to sit through the rest of the night miserable and itchy. My parents informed he waitress who changed my drink out but I really hope she informed the correct person to have this problem fixed.

This review is based on first appearance, service, food presentation and flavor~ We were delighted to sit outside, but at first glance at our table were our wine glasses, water spotted and dusty!..not very pleasing to the eye, especially since we were excited to have wine! They were quickly replaced and out comes our wine. We ordered the Charcuterie, bruschetta and artichoke fondue. Unfortunately we were not happy with anything we ordered. The Charcuterie (meat/cheese platter) was very messy and thrown on the board without much thought. The cheese was cut in cubes and it seemed like a cleaver was taken to them, very bizarre! The white cheese also tasted like monterey jack =/ The proscuitto was cut super thick (no no!) and everything was cut uneven..This plate had no finesse whatsoever..and too much honey was poured all over the board. The bruschetta was simply 'ok'. The (guacamole, or so I thought) was actually a pea spread with an unpalatable slice of unidentified meat.. inedible. Finally, the artichoke fondue was 'ok'..the artichoke was extremely undercooked and really really tough..the fondue was good, but the artichoke really needed more time. I was really excited for this place to open, but really disappointed! I Think they rushed into the opening unprepared. Hopefully they get better with time! If I ever make it back, I will update this review. Overall the idea was there but the execution was not. Sorry Cosmo's for now, I will not return.

BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN GLENDORA. The new kid is a contender.. My wife and I wanted to try something different. We had heard good things about Cosmo Bistro, We arrived around 5 on Sunday. Plenty of tables available, THey did a nice job remodeling after Sergio's. DINNER FOR TWO- $75.00. BUT- what a meal it was. We started with some stuffed mushrooms in a seafood sauce OUTSTANDING Followed by French Onion soup. This was accompanied by bread service with oil and balsamic vinaigrette. We shared an amazing lasagna plate and a lamb chop/ leg of lamb combination which was exquisitely seasoned and delicately prepared. Garli mashed potatoes rounded out the affair.c Thee desserts are home made daily but we had no room to try one. THe portions were ggiantic so we are covered for dinner tomorrow. Definitely coming again.

The wife & I went to Cosmo's for lunch today. This was our first visit. They were pretty busy, but there were always a couple of tables available for new groups that arrived. We were sat right away. Cosmo created a great Italian atmosphere in the old Sergio's restaurant. Both the inside & outside decor was inviting. It was a little too warm today to sit outside, but it looked inviting for a cooler day. My wife had the Fuji Apple Salad. It was huge! I had to help her eat it, which I didn't mind because it was really good. I had the linguini. It was packed with mahi mahi, clams, shrimp, calamari & muscles. It was really good too. It was a fantastic lunch experience...we will be back.

Well as I said before the food here is excellent. That being said now they invested in the servers they brought in Hugo one of the best servers I know. I used to frequent another restaurant that he worked at, always a gentleman and very attentive. Cosmo's has now completely won me over....great food great service 10 stars!

My boyfriend and I came in here on opening day and had a great experience! Everything was wonderful! Service was great as was the food! It has a cozy little environment! We split the Philly sandwich and a pizza. Man have I been craving that sandwich ever since! We didn't personally get any salads but the table next to us did and it looked amazing! I can't wait to go back and try all the stuff on the lunch and dinner menu. You should definitely give this place a try! We will be back!

We sat outdoors on a nice day, and the restaurant has created a nice little ambience (and kept certain nice elements from when it used to be Sergio's). The food ranges from decent to good. My pulled pork sandwich was average, but I thought my friend's veggie sandwich was great. The fries come in a cute little basket, which was a nice touch, and I was pleasantly surprised by the apple coleslaw (I am not generally a coleslaw fan). The bruschetta was supposed to have prosciutto, but we are both pretty sure it was actually just bacon. The service was warm and friendly, but not necessarily efficient since both servers on duty were helping us. It might be easier for them if servers get their own tables; if not, it requires constant communication between the two. I would come back here.

This is a new restaurant in the city of Glendora, a city that needs new restaurants! Located in the old Sergio's restaurant space, it has been remodeled completely to a more upscale, linen napkin / table cloth establishment with a quality waitstaff and menu selection. The dress is "nice casual" and the price-point is in the $15 to $30 range, which includes specialty pizzas, pastas and steaks, among other things. We went for my birthday with a party of five. We were sat in a booth for four, with a chair at the end - so we were pretty tight. We also sat on the far west side next to a window that had what looked like temporary window coverings - paper, I believe. It was for dinner and the sun was on that side, and it was very hot. The doors were open to the outside patio, so we had to deal with a few pesky flys too. So - cramped, warm, and flys. That said, it's a new place and these are things that get smoothed out along the way, I'm sure. The positives outweigh any negatives. We ordered two appetizers to have with our wine and they were very tasty and prepared well - and enough to share with five people. We also ordered two salads which were large enough to split up as well. For dinner, four of us ordered different pasta dishes, and one ordered a caprese pizza. All dishes were delicious and large and hot, right from the kitchen. Very high quality and fresh, flavorful entrees - four stars! My only comment about all the food, as good as it was, is that it may have been just a tad under seasoned. The service was really good too - friendly and helpful. We will be back to try other dishes with our friends soon - you should check it out as well!

Great food here and some decent bottled beers. The caramel cheesecake is out of this world, but they don't always have it

Not bad, not great. Service kinda slow, waiter needed to find his notes to read us daily special. Atmosphere etc. was reasonably good. Food was decent, but not great - I had a pasta dish (not bad, but would appreciate fresher pasta if they have to use dry), my son had chicken Parmesan (chicken dry and overlooked, marinara was spiciest he has ever had). Nothing I'd make a point of coming back for (and I doubt we will any time soon). NO beer on draught, but some decent ones by bottle. I had 'Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale' by Boulevard Brewery KC, MO. very nice (but not very accurately described on their beer list - I was rewarded here with a lucky guess). No real "beer" glass to serve in, and waiter had no idea how to pour a bottled beer - so I got a lovely 4" head on my glass. Some of the more interesting bottle beer choices on the list were $18-20 though - maybe I'm cheap, but that's crazy $$$ for a bottle of beer. No comment on wines - not a wine drinker here. Summary: for a few bucks more, Luca Bella is just a couple blocks away and incomparably better than Cosmos.

Finally tried this place Thursday night. I loved the outdoor seating and our waiter was very good (even while managing several tables, including a larger group.) The food, ok. My husband ordered a penne with chicken and he was not impressed. He felt the taste was overbearing. Because I am vegetarian, I didn't sample his, so I can't give any feedback. I ordered angel hair with tomatoes, garlic, basil & olive oil. The portion was huge! I was very surprised how large the tomato chunks were, but as I love tomato, i liked this. Very few pieces of basil and I couldn't taste it at all. Pasta was cooked a perfect al dente. Overall, I would order again, but nothing to brag about. We both ordered the spinach salad and we both thought it was just fair. The spinach was not baby spinach, so it was thicker, larger pieces, not as good in a salad. The dressing was way too sweet for me so I was glad it was only drizzled on instead of being tossed. The focaccia that was served with olive oil for dipping was fine. It was fresh and had a decent flavor. Wine list was very nice for a restaurant this size and the pricing fair. I was pleased with the choices they had by the glass. Overall, not a bad experience and we will be back, but not what we were expecting.

I wish I could give this a good rating. The good: The facility itself was very nice (much better than what it was when it was Sergio's) and the service was great. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The Bad: The food. I wish I could say that I liked the food. But, besides the Caesar Salad my mom had gotten, most of the food was eh at best. We started off with the Charcuterie. Like another Yelp user noted it was poorly presented and the cheese choice was odd. Next came our meals. I got the Linguine with seafood and a red sauce. The tomato red sauce had no flavor and some of the seafood did not taste that good. I did not eat the muscles because they tasted funny. I have gotten this dish many times at other restaurants and it is always flavorful and robust, this was neither. It just fell flat. Besides the Caesar Salad, my mom got the Frito Misto plate. It seemed under cooked and lacked flavor as well. Lastly, my father got the BBQ chicken pizza which was not bad, but nothing special. I really wanted to like this restaurant. Glendora is lacking in nicer dining options and I like to support new restaurants when the open. But, being that the food is not well prepared and the prices are high, I don't know if I will return.

Update! Been there and love it! I did suggest a website, hope they follow through. Get with the times... A website with a menu would be nice.

This place was awesome and the food was delicious. The seafood linguine was tasty and the serving was perfect for the amount of money I paid. Service was awesome and the waiters and waitresses was personable. If you are in Glendora, CA I highly recommend this place.

Came here a few weeks ago with the husband and it was just ok. The negatives - We sat inside and it was hot and stuffy, I don't know about you but I cannot eat in a restaurant with poor ventilation and feeling like it is 85 degrees in there. Because of this just a few minutes after we got the food I asked for to go boxes and just took the food home, couldn't really enjoy myself. Then there was flies. You can see everyone trying to shoo them away. I feel they are overpriced for what they provided. Food, just ok. Service, not for what they are charging. Atmosphere - I will remind you of the flies and hot, stuffy room The positive - Food was good, wasn't great. Hoping there is some improvement as time goes on. I saw other peoples meals and would like to come back and give it another chance. Bread was good too. Well here is to hoping they read some of their reviews and make some changes. They are new and I see the potential. Though with the prices not sure how much I will visit. Spaghetti Eddies still takes the cake in Glendora.

Great place if u want pizza and appetizers along with a glass of wine. I wasn't crazy about the dinners, but I loved the pizza and the baked bri appetizer. I will come back :)

Kind of a miss, maybe I will try again later, limited menu for lunch, just OK. Not much of an Italian menu. Nice selection of pizzas. Slightly over priced. Service was decent. Where was the bread?

Awesome menu & great food. I came here about a week ago to celebrate my birthday with my grandma before she left town for vacation. It was the perfect lunch place! They had a wide variety and the price was just right. I got the chicken club sandwich; the sandwich was so good, nice piece of chicken, good thick bacon and great bread. The fires came in a little fry basket that was so cute. My grandma got the chicken club salad, the salad was huge and looked really good. The place is decorated very elegant and modern; I love it. This is just the type of place Glendora needed.

Cosmo's Bistro is located directly across the street from my office. The food is delicious. The service is great. Easy to run over and pick up a great lunch. They were even nice enough to run a menu over to our office so our agents and staff can have it handy and easier to know what we want for lunch. Love having them so close by.

Went for lunch on my birthday. Food was great. Servers were nice but we waited a long time for food and again for check, they seem to be understaffed? It took 70 minutes for lunch. ..

Finally stopped by Cosmo's Bistro and was amazed at the renovation of the former Sergio's Mexican Restaurant. Wow! Simply beautiful indoor and covered patio dining! Let me start off by saying I, by choice, do not eat beef. Okay, maybe once every two years or so. But on the evening I stopped by for dinner, something in the air told me to order lasagna and it was the best decision of the day. The server brought the plate to the table with the best looking pasta surrounded with meat sauce. I carefully used the dinner knife and fork to cut a bite-size serving, looked at the layers of noodles, admired the meat sauce then slowly brought the fork to my mouth. Absolutely the BEST lasagna I've ever had in my life -- what a treat to my tastebuds. Tried my best to finish the entire serving but just couldn't do it. I will go back and try most of the menu items and hope my tastebuds are just as happy as with the lasagna.

Visited Cosmos's by chance when I attended an event for Life Pacific College that was hosted there. I enjoyed the lunch very much, so I went there for dinner. Every plate we ordered was fantastic. My children gave it thumbs up! The service was also great. Love this place!

What can I say no posted pictures- the food was too good and I was too hungry. Nice selection of beer and wine - tried the seafood and it didn't disappoint - even liked the clams in the dish and I don't eat clams at all. Worth a stop in - can't wait to come back and try some other dishes.

Newer restaurant in Glendora with an Italian bent. I have visited several times. It has a great atmosphere, though they need to watch what is playing on outside TV's (boxing not good). We had the salmon and the filet the first visit and both were cooked to perfection. Since our first visit, the food has been uneven. I would not recommend the pesto pasta, but the pizza and salads are good. There was a sewer smell at opening time during December and on the same visit, my entree was overly salted.... I had very high hopes for this restaurant and will continue to support it, but I'm hoping they can be more consistent. Service was generally fine.

My husband and I went here for dinner last night. It was very delicious and the service was excellent. It's a little expensive but we wanted something close and a night out. We would go back. My husband got the chicken parmesan and I got a pizza. We share our food to try different dishes but he barely gave me a couple of bites. So that shows you that he really liked his dish.

A new restaurant in Glendora, where Sergio's used to be located, this was my first time trying the new place and it looked quite classy and upscale in a location that used to be a bit of an eye sore. I took my mother out for dinner, and we both got the Penne, which was fantastic! They also serve cucumber flavored water, which is quite refreshing! My only complaint was we were not served bread until half way through the meal(were never asked or directed to ask if we want it). The service was good, and the waitress attentive, however the reason for my 2 star rating came when the bill arrived. I chose to play credit card, and the waitress quickly returned saying the credit card reader was not working, but would be fixed in a few minutes. Then she came back 10 minutes later to say it was still not working, but someone was working on getting it fixed ASAP. Then she returned again another 20 minutes later and said it was still non functional, could we pay in cash instead? I had anticipated paying by card, and did not have the requisite amount of cash, so I couldn't do this( it had now been roughly half and hour). So after waiting another 15 minutes or so, the waitress finally came back with my card and said they were just going to call it because it wasn't working. Now i understand that technology sometimes fails, but after at least a 45 minute wait just to pay the bill, we should have at least got an apology from the manager, but none arrived, and so we left a tip(in cash) and left. The food was 4 stars, but the way this hiccup was handled left a bad taste in my mouth, my advice to anyone thinking of going here, ask if the credit card reader is working before you sit down.

My girlfriend and I just tried this place for lunch and we both enjoyed it! I order the chicken club sandwich and she ordered a chicken Cesar salad. Both were delicious! The staff was nice as well as the decor. My gf isn't a fan of the cucumber water but I love it!! We will come for sure to try their pastas for dinner! We recommend this place!

Amazing food, wine and ambience! You even forget your in Glendora! Super friendly staff, delicious food and awesome wine! The staff is very hip and friendly, and the menu is perfect! The outdoor seating is soooo nice! And indoors, it's beautiful, quick, friendly service, and when your meal arrives it is plated al la Gordon Ramsay!!! My new favorite place! Perfect for special get togethers or simply to celebrate life!

Grew up back east and it's very hard to find authentic local Italian food. Contrary to popular belief The Olive Garden is NOT Italian food. This place was excellent and reminded me of home. We had the pizza and Linguine with fish, shrimp, calimari and clams. Will be back!!

All in all, this place is pretty good. Good enough for us to go back and try a few different things. I think they have a great menu and look forward to trying some other items. I had lasagna and my husband had the chicken pesto pasta. My lasagna was fabulous. Def their own gourmet version, not mom's, but it was delicious.my husband's dish was good, but not necessarily something he will have to order every visit.

Glendora is a great place to live and work, except when friends and family are visiting, I would take them to Claremont or Pasadena for a great meal. But now that Cosmo's Bistro has opened it's a different story. What's not to love about Cosmo's? Great atmosphere, especially the patio dining. Jen is such a lovely manager, always makes you feel welcome. Marciello is an outstanding waiter, always so pleasant and accommodating. Then there is the food. Starting with the cucumber water, the basket of fresh bread the way I love it, (crusty shell, soft interior) The baked brie with chutney is a wonderful appetizer. Their salads are fresh, topped with their delicious homemade dressing. Pasta dishes are generous, and the homemade sauces are outstanding. I was there last night with three friends and everyone was raving about their order. I was not in the mood for pasta or pizza and asked Marciello if I can just have a grilled chicken breast (not on the menu) He was very accommodating and checked with Cosmo, the owner and head chef, and he whipped up a grilled chicken breast with grilled kale mixed with other veggies and a white sauce. So delicious! I say it's about time Glendora had a restaurant I would recommend to just about anyone!

Extremely upset when I got my bill from ordering gluten free pasta with Alfredo sauce only and it was $15!!! It tasted ok and was plain like I wanted but it had no meat or anything special but the chef refused to charge me less even though everyone else at my table got beautiful dishes but paid less or the same. Even the waiter felt it was unfair. Not going back there where a chef can't even come do his own dirty work and makes the waiter convey the message twice.

Went for breakfast on Sunday morning. This was my first time. The food was outstanding. Very fresh. I had a ham and swiss scramble. So delicious. My boyfriend had the Monte Cristo. Also delicious. Love the decor and the vibe. Very clean and friendly service. I will definitely be going back for lunch or dinner. Everything on the menu looks fantastic.

I went with my best friend to a causal dinner in the evening. The vegetarian pizza was fantastic and so were the spinach salad and Cesear salad. the waiters were attentive and knowledgeable about the selections of our choices and had our water glasses always filled. The pizza is way superb to Domenico's Jr or Petrillo's Plan to bring the spouse tonight and have him try the gluten free pasta.

Did you know that these guys are now open for breakfast???Yep, and IMO worth the drive! Word will get out soon, and I venture to say that the weekends will show lines waiting for an open booth or table. I stopped in this morning and had their version of the Monte Cristo, and was pleased with the size and taste. Black forest ham, fresh roasted turkey, and their twist, orange marmalade! Also tried the "Fats's Domino", a crepe stuffed with fresh banana's, I think ground up graham crackers, and topped with stewed blueberries. AWESOME! Glad to see another option in Glendora!

We had lunch. The service was very attentive and friendly. We started with the churcuteri plate. Very good especially with their home focaccia bread. I had the roasted red pepper soup A+. Another person had the Ruben that was to die for. The people we had lunch with had been there before and said the stuffed mushrooms are amazing but I was just to full. My husband and I can not wait to go back to try more.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
