When I first heard of this place, I thought "surely this is a joke ... or a really big typo. AdaNberto's?? C'mon people. Really?" Now, I find out there are entire families of chain greasy Mexican restaurants that have basically the same name, save one or two letters. The logic escapes me. Anyway, I had planned on making my quick and dirty stop at the Bell right next door, when I thought: yeah, I should at least try this place. (I have a Local Conscience now that, combined with Leftover Catholic Guilt from my mother has eaten a hole in my brain.) The place is a bit funky -- starting with the drive-thru window which had lots of exposed cords and wires. I was really expecting to see a tin can with a wire attached running from the menu board to the actual pick-up window. Then arriving at said pick-up window, a nice beat up Styrofoam cup dangled desperately by--again, more wire-- outside the window. The word "tips" was scratched on the side, like some last cry for help by someone shoved in the trunk of a car. It was really sad actually. Despite my whole resentment sometimes toward all the tipping in this world, I left two bucks. Hey, it's Black Friday. Go knock yourself out and by some gum. (Which maybe you can use for some other janky purpose like replacing a missing button on your uniform. And I say this with all of the love in the world.) I ordered the rolled chicken tacos. Great crispy texture, but drowning in a sour cream and shredded cheese bath. Other than the green sauce that came on the side, they were rather flavorless. It would be great hungover food but I don't think they are open late. Of course if you are one of the few and proud imbibing overachievers who starts your imbibing in the a.m., this place might be the ticket.

I like their food, it's good for the price. The steak salad is awesome, though I'm sure it's not healthy. I would have given them more stars, though I think their service is terrible. The women that work there always look really unhappy and barely say two words. I always smile and try to be polite, but it's always returned with a rude look. All in all this would be so much better if they worked on customer service.

Been coming to this Addy's since 2009. I love the chicken quesadilla, fat chunks of chicken and a whole bunch of cheese. It's open late, so it's the perfect spot to hit up after last call. I've been out of the area for quite a while, I can't get quality stuff like this on the east coast.

Carne asada fries were nearly $10. There was a lot of food, for sure, but it was completely flavorless. We split it among three friends and non of us thought it was very good. It was just so bland. There wasn't much meat or cheese. The guacamole had no flavor and I'm not sure if it had much avocado in it- the next day it was still super green- it hadn't oxidized at all. Service in the drive through was fine and the food came quickly. I actually really liked their mild red salsa- it gave the fries enough kick to be edible.

I never remember going there but I'm always reminded the next morning.

Heads, swear you'll never come back and you'll be in sick your bed for the days. Tails, food is pretty good but still really greasy and not that good of a price. It's always open though which is like pretty cool. They don't get your order right but that's a just part of the package. I recommend the number 24, but odds are not in your favor that you'll actually get it.

Let's not kid ourselves. This is the place you go when you're drunk and/or high. Don't expect gourmet food and don't expect your order right 100% of the time. There's people on here reviewing this place like it was supposed to be a gourmet 5 star restaurant. It's open 24/7 within walking distance from the bars...what did you really expect. I give it 5 stars after 5 drinks. Cheers.

Fact: If you promise to take a girl on a first date and then take her to Adanberto's, you just friend-zoned yourself. I'm just saying, I don't wanna see any weird Facebook memes about how nice guys finish last. Fact: If you try to drive a flatbed from Lowe's through the drive-through, they will open the window to openly mock you, but will not serve you. Not that I, um, have any information about who did that. Fact: There are some channels on the TV which maybe should not be available in a place where some random person can change the channel at 3am and then leave it that way for two hours before anyone notices Jenna Jameson on the screen. Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica. The food here is exactly the same as at every Addy's, except slightly worse. Like, the portions are a little smaller, and the avocados are a little less ripe. It's like the slightly neglected little brother of the other nearby locations. They're not really that clean. They're not really that friendly. But that's not going to stop you from wanting a #24 on a Sunday morning, is it?

I love this place, we come here quite often and the food never fails to please! My only complaint is, why is it that EVERY time we come here, they have to be mopping??? The floor gets so slippery, its a risk to walk anywhere and my poor hubby fell once and the stuff they use to mop with smells too strong and its not pleasant to smell while you're trying to enjoy your meal. I know when things are slow, you gotta keep busy, and I appreciate them keeping the place clean but I've never seen this place so busy that its messy. Why not just mop the place at closing time?

Gotta love the California burrito. This place seemed to have somehow made the burrito even bigger than I'm used to (in orangevale) and it was amazing! They have TVs inside and had GSN on. It's a nice escape from work on your lunch break. If you haven't tried Addie's (also known as Berto's) before, it's a must have.

Carne asada fries or California burrito are where it's at! Don't let the looks of this place keep you away, the food is pretty darn good for cheap!

I've had better Mexican food. This place is just regular. My friend and I have come here a couple of times. Today I tried their beef taco and enchilada plate which actually wasn't too bad. You get a lot of food for the price. My beef taco was good, not too soggy or greasy and the shell made it easy to keep all of the ingredients inside. The enchilada was covered with lettuce and I had to dig down to find it, but eh, it was so-so. The cheese wasn't melted enough for me and I was only able to eat half of it. The rice and beans were standard. Pretty much the same taste as any other taqueria or Mexican place. One thing I will say - this restaurant has about 5 or 6 ceiling fans and it was HOT out today and none of them were on. It made the restaurant so hot that I couldn't really enjoy my food. I can only imagine how it is in the kitchen. The service was okay, nothing great. Actually, I paid for my food with my debit card and the woman taking my order handed me my drink cup and then walked off, so I assumed I wasn't getting a receipt. As I was filling my cup at the soda fountain, she calls out to me that I need to sign the receipt. Well gee, why didn't you tell me that instead of walking off and not saying a word? I probably won't be back again, unless my friend wants another order of their Super Nachos which he happens to love. Hopefully we'll be back when it's cooler out so we won't sweat our asses off inside.

Wednesday, around 11 am. Looks to be 3 or 4 cars in the parking lot, no cars in the drive-thru. We haven't ever tried this place so we opt to check it out via Drive-Thru. Pulled up to the Speaker/Menu Sign. As we are looking at all the options and discussing amongst ourselves what we want, we soon realize we've been parked there for a good minute without being greeted. But, luckily, just as we realized there was something amiss, a voice comes out over the speaker. "Can I help you?" [no 'Welcome to Adanberto's! How may I help you? Would you like to try xxx?!'] We place an order for the daily special and a burrito. "Ok" says the voice. [no repeating of our order, no 'is that all for you today?', no 'your total is xxx please pull around'] So after an awkward silence we just pull around and park outside the window. Another few minutes pass without the window even opening. We realize we just don't have time for this kind of Bull Sh** and we drive off, and do JImboy's instead. Important to note is that as we drive away, I look back into the Drive-Thru window and I see a person leaning against something inside, looking down at his/her phone. Awesome.

Its super cheap, fast Mexican food. Don't expect it to taste like a traditional sit down restaurant but it is good. Sometimes the wait can get a little long. Rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole is my go to. The tortas are good though too.

First visit. Just walked in 5 mins ago, heard female employees laughing and socializing the the back somewhere, restaurant not super busy, nobody came to take my order for 6 minutes, I left. Get an effing clue if you're going to open your doors you should prob actually staff the front counter. Last visit. Buhbye. Er...adios.

  • Daniel H.

The place was clean. However, I don't recall ever interacting with a more unpleasant staff. The woman who took my order never smiled once, even when she got it wrong and I said "no worries", and ate the burrito they made me instead of the taco I ordered. She actually seemed disappointed that I wanted to dine there. The cook came out and offered to remake the burrito for me but he wasn't pleasant either. I know its a small restaurant but at least learn how to greet your customers and not make them feel unwelcome. Its a restaurant. I can see why there were so few people eating there. The food was okay. Overall, I will never eat here again. Two stars for cleanliness and edible food ... No stars for anything else.

This was a last minute-middle of the night search for some yummy burritos, and Adanbertos is the place! After reviewing the other reviews, i went with hopes that it will be good seeing as nothing else is open. And it was a pleasant surprise! Pros: Cheap Prices! for two people to eat here with leftovers to bring home, it only cost 13$. Good food! I had a breakfast burritos and we also ordered a Pastor Burrito. Good salsa! The habanero salsa is hot!! and the pico de gallo was really fresh. Good location! it is centrally located in folsom and is easy to find Cons: Yes it is not a classy establishment, but thats what makes it a taqueria, not a fine dining place. Once you get that out of your head, you're fine. The burritos do NOT have lettuce or anything like that in it. Its just good old meat, beans, rice, and cheese. Another reviewer said that it wasn't clean, tables were cleaned after every party left the table and the salsa bar was very well maintained and clean A reviewer said it was too noisy, if anything it was too quiet for us. We could barely hear the TV and there was minimal music playing. A reviewer said the food was bland. This is not the case. I grew up in the bay area, and if anything I am really picky when it comes to mexican and their food was really flavorful. We actually went back the next day during the day too for some super nachos and those were good too! So it seems that every time is a good time to get some cheap and yummy food!

How difficult is it to not put onions on my order when I ask for No Onions?!? And you have to love the old 'why don't you come back and will replace it' when you've already gotten home. Maybe it's a language barrier, not sure the young lady understood my order, as I did it in English.

    (1)
  • Elizabeth M.

We have visited multiple times. For some reason when you go through the drive through they never ever get the order right. If you want an egg and ham burrito with light ham you will still get ham overkill. If you order one egg and cheese and a different burrito you will get two of the same burrito. But if you go in for some reason they actually get the order right. So disappointing.

The food here is bomb!!! I definitely recommend coming here. My favorite is the nachos. The enchiladas are really good too. The service was good and I hardly waited at all for my food!

Anyone who has glanced at my reviews knows how much I love the Adalberto's in North Highlands. I came here with my husband in hopes I could enjoy such terribly unhealthy food without having to make the trek to the ol' NH. Wrong. So very wrong. First, the sign says they're open 24 hours, but the drive thru has a sign stating they are open 7AM-10PM. That's misleading, but whatever. I wait almost three minutes at the speaker before I finally hear the familiar, rushed "Can I help you?" Order is taken, pull up to window. Again, another three minutes before the window is opened and my payment is taken. I ordered TWO sodas and two burritos. The girl at the window hands me the food. And one soda. I ask for the second, the girl argues with me, saying I ordered one. I recount the order, including prices back to her, including the price I paid. She insists I'm wrong. There's a few cars behind me because of how long they took to prepare my order, I just leave. No point in making other people wait because of other people's bad math.

Prices have gone up and portions have gotten smaller... I've also noticed less consistency in their food, depending on who is "assembling" the food and any given day. Gonna have to pass for a while and check back. One thing good though, their tortillas always taste fresh and delish and the service is friendly.

I can't believe this was my first visit here. Old habits are just hard to break I guess, but I'm very pleased I made the decision this morning to pick up some breakfast burrito's from Adanberto's. My breakfast burrito was filled with bacon, cheese, eggs & potatoes. Served fresh and friendly with a number of delicious salsa options. I had heard that their breakfast burrito's were good, now I've tasted them and can agree that they are delicious !

Went back to this place for a carne asada burrito. I was sick for 5 days. Filthy dump. Rude attitude. Place has really gone downhill.Never going back. Going back to Aldabertos instead.

Best drive through Mexican food in the sacramento area. The chicken tacos are the best I've ever had hands down...filled with juicy chicken and lettuce in a crispy shell is pure bliss. The California burrito is filled with potatoes, pico de gallo, cheese and carne asada. It ends up tasting quite fresh and has great texture when the potatoes are crispy. The nachos are the best bang for the buck. You get a container stuffed with chips, meat, guac, pico de gallo, beans and cheese. If you go inside you will be treated to chips and their salsa bar at no extra charge. Don't leave without getting a horchata. Believe it it not, this place has some of the best tasting horchata around. It's creamy but not overly sweet. Damn, now I'm craving Mexican food again...good thing they're open uber-late!

they use cheap meat or really nasty meat. beans taste good been here a couple times they are not clean there's sometimes kids playing in the kitchen people in the kitchen need to have a hair net on. It is run down. If you like junkie food this place is for you. They are $$$ pricey for not great food. Also be ready for a long wait or to be noticed.

Awesome breakfast burritos and burritos just in general! More bang for your buck. GO HERE!

  • Ryan H.

Interesting. They have signs outside posted "open 24 hours" but when I showed up at 6:15 am to get a breakfast burrito the lights were on but the door was locked. There were no hours posted on the door, but then again why would there be? Went down the road to the ATM and when I came back by noticed there was a neon "open" sign lit in the window that I didn't notice before. Stopped again and door was now open. I went in, but couldn't find anyone inside. But judging from the cleanliness of the place, I'm glad I didn't order any food.

Best late night and fast snack! They make everything fresh so it's delicious and you don't feel gross after eating it. I always get the rolled taquitos, yummy!!

Apparently there is adalbertos and this is adanbertos. This place hands down wins the adalbertos/adanbertos war. Had the New Mexico burrito and it was amazing. Highly Recommend it!!!

  • Ellie B.

Oh man, I really wanted to LOVE this place... The service was fine, I mean, it's hard to mess up service at a walk-up counter. They took my order and the food came right out. I ordered a chorizo, egg and potato breakfast burrito. It was flavorless and the tortilla was warmed up to the point of breaking when bent or rolled - not good. Also, I realized the "potato" portion was really just french fries thrown into the burrito - it's usually homefries or something, right?? That's just lazy, in my opinion. The pros about this place are the quick service and the salsas at the salsa bar were all amazing (must've tried at least half of them). The cons are that the food is really bland - I see other Yelpers feel the same way. Also, the place is kind of grimy and not so clean... I honestly wouldn't come here again.

    (2)
  • Lakisha C.

Nasty. A coworker brought me here today for some rolled tacos, rice and beans. The guacamole was disgusting, the beans were old and the rice was crunchy. There was a spider on my food box and the tables were not cleaned. The ceiling fans were piled with dust and the salsa bad was messy. I wouldn't come back here if I was hammered drunk. Gross gross gross.

  • Jennifer P.

Too salty! Generous meat portions in their tacos and burritos.

  • Savveie A.

The employees here provide HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They also barely know enough English to get by. They get orders wrong all the time. They often will repeat what you have asked for and then NOT DO IT AT ALL. I have ate here several times only with a group of people after everywhere else has closed and because of the large portion sizes for the prices. However, it is NOT WORTH IT when, every time I ask that cheese be left out, an ingredient which makes me feel even more sick than I feel without cheese in the food from this place, it is always thrown in there no matter how much I express how much it pains me. They will repeat my order and then completely disregard it, which is HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am not sure if this place deserves even 1 star from me. Spend your money somewhere else.

    (1)
  • Jason C.

Good food. Only gave 4 stars because the drive thru employee has to walk away to the front to swipe debit/credit cards. Items have been left out on accident because the employee has to leave their station. The owner should fix that problem.

  • V D.

Stopped in for a quick bite at lunch, thinking it was the same restaurant as Adalbertos on Sunrise. Ordered the taquitos, and then heard the microwave ringing as they prepped my order. Was given taquitos just like those you buy in the grocery frozen food section. Clearly not fresh and not good.

  • vic s.

This place has such good food. They are best when they are cooking meat so if you are vegetarian im not sure you should come hear because their beans suck. It's chalky with not much flavoring. But their meats are SO good. I get their Adobada tacos with seasoned pork, guacamole(they don't skimp) and pico de gallo. The chicken tacos with lettuce and cheese is slightly gooey and excellent. My friend loves their steak fries. And their tacos are PACKED with ingredients. You could have one taco and be satisfied. Have two and you will be stuffed for the night. Get it to go though cause the chemicals they use to clean are pretty strong and can make sensitive people sick.

  • Curtis W.

This place has great customer service, the restaurant is always clean, and the employees are very friendly. It is open 24 hours. I recommend you go to this place if you're looking for a good authentic Mexican burrito. I always get the Carne Asada burrito with sour cream :-)

    (5)
  • Forrest S.

Apparently they have lost my wifes to go order as I write this. Long waits are not acceptable when you have hungry parents and even hungier kids at home. Fix your order taking system.

  • Morgan N.

This Adanberto's I feel is the best of the chain, their salsa bar definitely is the best. Self serve soda fountain is nice too! Food is better than pricey upscale restuarants, quick cheaper and easy! Love it. Our regular place......

  • Michele C.

Ug--h...Ok, to start with, I should have a disclaimer that I lived near Woodland, CA for along time. The taquerias in Woodland are really awesome, especially Taqueria Guadalajara. So I went to this place thinking I might be getting similar food. I ordered the carnitas burrito. The only thing inside it was carnitas and pico de gallo--no rice, no beans. Everytime I took a bite, grease dripped out from the bottom of the burrito. I took a few bites and decided I didn't want digestive problems that night. I guess I will keep searching for a decent taqueria. I won't be back. Also, I feel like these guys are trading on the reputation of Adalberto's. I have been there and it is pretty good. It was only after I passed an Adalberto's on Greenback or Madison that I realized that this one in Folsom is Adanberto's. So don't be fooled....this is not the same outfit.

Be careful with your order...good food but could not get an order correct to save thier life...and worst then that, non apologetic. Fuc%%^^ in the drivethru!!!!

What was once a favorite is a favorite no more. The food is still good, but the service is lousy. Not only did it take well over 20 minutes to get us our order (eh hem, what part of "fast" food don't you get?), but then the order was wrong. I stood at the counter while the young lady helped everyone before she finally got to me. When I explained that I didn't order a chicken taco but a chicken burrito, she said it would be a couple of minutes before they could fix my order. Really. If hadn't already paid for the food, I would've left long ago. Being the cheapskate I am, I waited...and waited...and waited some more. By the disgusted look of most of the patrons in the shop, they were feeling it, too. It's too bad. Had this been our first experience I might've given them another shot. But this was the "another shot." It looks like we'll be driving to Citrus Heights for a Adanberto's fix.

This place is basically like Adalberto's and Carolina's. The food is very good, and very authentic. It's open 24 hours, so it really helped me out on my overtime nights when I was just too lazy to cook, everything was closed, and i was starving. We have tried their carne asada fries, which I would recommend sharing with a couple of people. So much food, but it doesn't refrigerate and reheat well. Recently, I've been getting their carne asada or carnitas plates. I'm on the "slow carb diet" right now and I love how they specialize your order without charging you extra. I order it with no rice, tortillas, cheese, or sour cream, please replace with extra of everything else... and they do it! They don't skimp on the meat either. Everything is perfectly spiced, but if you need more, their salsas get the job done. Prices are fairly decent, I think a bit pricier than Adalberto's or Carolina's.

  • Anthony W.

Same menu and maybe a bit substandard taste as all the other XXbeto/XXberto's out there. Acceptable but did not blow me away. The ambiance is nil, they have a TV on with Futbol going, but it felt like I was eating in a library. They kept old furniture and steam table (non-op) from Sakura, so it's a nice homage to them. (RIP)

The breakfast burritos are really good but the other burritos are pretty gross. Glad though that they are open 24/7 in case a late night meal is needed.

I just had a carnitas super burrito, a large diet soda and a side of beans with cheese, that I ate with their complimentary green vhili salsa and chips. I shared it with my husband. I am stuffed and so is my hubby. It was scrumptious! Fresh! And all for umder $12.00! Cheap, authentic, filling and delicious!

  • Enrique C.

I was drunk and it was open late. Sometimes that's all it takes to get two stars.

    (2)
  • Issac M.

It only gets 4 stars since they are pretty much Adalberto's. This place is strange. Open at random late night hours but the drive thru closes at 10pm...? A bit inconsistent with the portions too. One thing that I need to say is that if you're part of that late night drunk crowd, show some respect and don't thrash the place (i.e. the salsa bar). The peeps working there do work hard and shouldn't have to clean up after you like your Folsom mommy does. And nobody tips! It's crazy I watched a line of 20 drunk people in front of me not tip a dime. Good food tho fo sho!

  • Carl E.

I am really torn with this place. I enjoy the greasy spoon mexican food, but the cashier either doesn't write the order correct or the cook doesn't make it as written. I suppose if you don't have any special orders, this place is fine. However, I order the same #24 burrito with no cheese every time and more than half the time it has cheese on it. Today they were exceptionally slow and had to re-make it - which resulted in a 40 minute fast food trip. Sorry but terribly inconsistent service is not acceptable and it was my last trip there.

  • Drew Y.

I have made frequent trips to this place especially after a night of drinking. The breakfast burritos are filling and delicious and are reasonable priced. The chips and salsa bar is awesome. My only complaints are the rude service and it is very dirty and the booths are all ripped up.

    (3)
  • prisha a.

WOW. for the price, its AMAZING. Went her with the hubby and got chile rellenos, and huevos rancheros...and we couldn't even eat half our food...and it was only $14...most diners will charge more than that for ONE plate, with half the amount of food....and the quality seems good!! today went back for a veggie burrito, $4...and loaded with food...ate half for lunch, and saved the other half for later...quite big but also wasn't SUPER hungry. Definitely one would fill up someone though. I had some chips and salsa on the side, and used the green salsa for burrito, and it tasted delicious. I don't knw how they can afford to give that much food for their prices! Open 24 hours, i think. Very good food!

  • Josh N.

Adanberto's has the same menu and look of Adalberto's. I asked the front counter person if this coincidence and she said the owner of Adalbertos is a friend of Adanbertos. Local chain Carolina's and Rodrigo's in Orangevale share the same menu as well. Whatever. The food is of the same quality as Adalberto's and has the same cheap prices. Everything that I have tried is great value. The Rolled Tacos never dissapoint.

  • Brandon H.

I came to this place ever since it opened. At first, I thought it would be Folsom's watered down white knock-off of the Adalberto's restaurant in North Highlands.....WRONG! Sure changed my mind quickly. they are not shy on any ingredients, don't serve their burritos in a stale tortilla, and they have a decent salsa bar. They make a consistant solid BURITTO, unlike most other places that half ass it. Kicks Adalberto's and Carolinas asses. They are open 24 hours I think, and I wanna marry 80% of the girls that work there. Service is very friendly too. Recommendation: California Burrito w/ Carnitas instead of beef. You'll thank me later!

    (5)
  • Jennifer S.

Although, this restaurant has gotten my order wrong at least 3 times now, I'm still giving them 4 stars. The carne asada tacos are pretty good (but I don't like their guacamole, so I ask for them without it). Their breakfast burritos are pretty good too. Always quick in the drive thru and the food always is hot and fresh.

    (4)
  • Rachael W.

The chile relleno was to die for (got it w/out ranchero sauce)! I enjoyed the beans as well. The salsa bar was cool. My beef taco was OK.... Sadly both my daughter & I felt sick to our stomach later that night & felt ill the entire following day. Can't say it was the food, but it was all we'd had to eat that day, so I am a bit leery about trying it again. But I will eventually. The prices rocked.

The only cool thing about this restaurant is that it's open 24 hours. HOWEVER, I would never willingly choose to eat there (again) - no matter how much alcohol was consumed that night. The food is inexpensive but will leave you with a stomach ache! DON'T DO IT!

OK for Mexican food... the breakfast burritos are great! stuffed with potatoes, cheese, bacon, or chorizo. If you happen to pass by try it out.....you never know it could be your new favorite.

Hmmmm, Chorizo burrito. The chips are really good AND hot. They don't taste like they're straight out of a plastic bag (I don't know if they are). I eat my chips plain, so I can't help you with the salsa. I've had the rolled tacos, chorizo burrito, plain beef burrito, carne asada burrito. By far my favorite are the rolled tacos. Cheese, guac, tortilla, meat. Dios mio, these things are LA BOMBA! Tasty. Cheap. I wish it was closer to my job, cuz if it was I'd give them more of my money.

This is one of my favorite mexican food places when I am in a hurry and I am craving mexican food. The California Burritto rocks!

The food is delicious! If you dine in, they have a salsa bar that has 4 different kinds of salsa, cucumbers, pickled carrots, & jalapenos. My absolute favorite is the California Burrito which is loaded with carne asada steak, french fried potatos, pico de gallo, and cheese. I'm telling you, it's a winning combination! The rolled tacos are good too. They come with guacamole and shredded cheese. The carne asada fries and nachos are delicious too. There's something for everyone, and it won't break the bank. They even have a drive thru. Definitely my favorite mexican food in Folsom. Love this place!

Great place for cheap eats, good food. Love the bacon/potato breakfast burritos, especially with the yummy pico de gallo sauce. A close second favorite are the carne asada fries. Both of the aforementioned items are quite large, oftentimes they make for good meals to share (or leftovers for another meal).

Okay this is our favorite fast food type restaurant. It is nothing fancy but it is yummy. I love the Super Chicken Burritos. For the price you can't bet it. I can eat this burrito for three meals.

If you are wanting Adalberto's, this is not the place for you. They make the outside look just like the fabulous Adalberto's. Even the signage tricks you. We ordered at the drive-through and it took like 10 minutes to get our food. The price was reasonable, and they certainly don't skimp on meat in their food, but there was NO flavor. I ordered the shrimp burrito. The shrimp wasn't seasoned at all and the whole thing was bland. Hubby ordered the carne asada burrito, and while it was full of nothing but meat and guacamole, it was just OK. My son's chicken taco was decent, though. Definitely won't be going back to that place, and next time, we'll be sure to scrutinize the signage a bit better so that we don't get tricked into thinking we're eating at the other place we love.

I have been coming here regularly since the place opened and it is excellent. Of you like adalberto's you'll love this place as well. Same basic menu, but the portions are slightly bigger. I also have to disagree with the prior post stating that the taste is substandard. I have compared many of the burritos to adalberto's and found no difference (rumor has it that adanberto and adalberto's are related). Great Mexican food for cheap, open 24 hours a day!

The chicken tacos were the epitome of greasy amazingness. Definetely a repeater. The typical chips & salsa bar are always fresh and delicious. My girlfriend gets the bean and cheese burrito - never lets her down. Not crazy about the carne asada burrito. Was way too meaty.

First of all, this place deserves 5 million starts. It is so great!!!! Have you ever tried the California Burrito? It is stuffed full of meat, cheese and potatoes. A truly delectable combination. Adanberto's never skimps on meat. Or, the rolled tacos?! Sour cream and cheese or guacamole and cheese. So delicious, you will crave it all the time. Huge chicken tostadas for $3! Huge chimichangas! You can't beat the price for the amount of food. My extended family came to visit and we fed all 12 people (food and sodas) for only $80 total. Excellent salsa and chip bar. It is also open 24 hours to squash late night hunger. And, I have eaten at Adal/Adanbertos for over 7 years (usually food with sour cream) and I have never had food poisoning.

Wow! I ordered two $3 asada taco's here, enough to feed a family of four! They were loaded too, guacamole and what seemed like a pound of meat in each. Ok so they where loaded, but how did they taste? Let's just say, I'll drive the 30 minutes out of my way to experience this wholesome goodness again.

Hands down best carnitas tacos for the taste and money. They overflow from the tortillas. Nachos are giant. Not a fan of the fish taco. They also serve everything to go regardless if you plan to eat in or dine out. Great cause you never have to ask for a take out box but styrofoam isn't the best for the environment.

This place is an unbelievable find if you like authentic Mexican food. Great prices, huge quantities of food.....Wow!!! I had the Carne Asada burrito. It was massive....filled with flavorful carne asada, cilantro, onions and guacamole. All for $4.50. We also ordered beef and chicken tacos that were to die for...The only knock on Adanberto's is the atmosphere. It is very sparsely decorated and in need of repair of a couple of window coverings. However, they have a drive thru!!!!! I knew there was somone watching out for us...So, you do not need to even get out of your car. This place is a must visit for any fans of great Mexican food.

Not quite as good as Adalberto's, but a decent effort. Plus, the guy who usually works the late night shifts is really chill. This place definitely fills a need that Folsom had: a late night place to go in and sit down to eat some decent, and extremely cheap, Mexican food. Also, there's a free salsa bar with unlimited chips! So, if you're with your friends and you don't want a $3 quesadilla, you can just have some chips and salsa for free, which is always a good option (their quesadillas are my favorite thing, particularly for the price, by the way). While, I would definitely not go here during daytime hours, this place is decent enough to be a legitimate late-night pit stop.

Cool they have another local ___berto's Mexican spot. Nice to know where I can go to get carne asada fries without having to go to Sac, Vacaville or Fairfield. Need to try more food here to see how it compares to the rest, but so far it's pretty good.

This place has a great variety of Mexican food for great prices. My favorite burrito at this point is the shrimp burrito. The great thing is that they are not shy on the meat portions so you get a lot of food for cheap. I recommend this place to anyone on a budget or who enjoys good mexican food with that homemade touch.

This place is one of the BEST!!! Always consistently delicious and affordably priced. Adanbertos satisfies breakfast, lunch, dinner, drunk-dinner - everything! I especially love the staff there because they're always friendly and always make you feel welcome.

fast and good food. i've had the carne asada fries a few times and they are consistent with not giving stale fries like some of the adalberto's do (like the one on bradshaw, sometimes it's fresh, sometimes it's mushy). looking for something quick and pretty cheap to eat with a salsa bar, this is your place.

I was really excited about Adanberto's because I had heard good things about it and since we had moved to Folsom I was looking for a new Mexican place. Then they put American cheese in my Carnitas burrito! People kept raving that this place was so authentic but obviously this is not the case. I was very hungry but the American cheese made the who thing inedible. Perhaps other things they make (which don't have cheese) are okay, but for me that is a total deal breaker. Worst of all, knowing that people in this area seem to think this is great Mexican food makes it impossible to trust reviews of other Mexican places in the area.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
