Very good food! I love the fact that they offer the slider option so you can try a few of the burgers. Small quaint place. My favorite would have to be the dragon lady burger with the slaw...very delicious. Ev prefers the juju bleu Definitely will be back. Lets support our local businesses

We stopped by this place after our day of hiking at Sequoia National Park. It was a nice low key spot with some delicious food! We weren't quite sure what to expect since we're out of towners and were just relying on yelp. I ordered the Leticia salad with chicken and my boyfriend got the calamity Jane burger. Both were so good. I'm convinced that you can't really go wrong with any of the burgers or salads here. We got the cookie dough cheesecake for dessert and it was SPECTACULAR!! Apparently they don't have a set dessert menu because one of the server makes them, so the dessert for the day is basically what she decides to make at home and bring in that day. She needs to quit her job and open her own dessert business. We saw the other cakes that were also on the "menu" for the day. Had we had enough room in our bellies, the chocolate and peanut butter cake along with the strawberry and custard cake looked exquisite. We'd definitely love to come back here another time when we're in the area. If not for the burgers and salads, most likely to see what dessert is being served up that day!!

The burger was good. It had good flavor. The side of potatoes wasnt enough. Needed more potatoes for the price of the meal.

Burgers are great, excellent service and a fun atmosphere to have dinner with friends!

  • Aaron H.

I'm going to keep it short and simple. If you are a huge fan of diners, drive-ins, and dives (triple D), then this is a great place for you. Lots of local flavors and great local people. I just can't say enough about the people who work there. Very welcoming and the food was amazing at a price that was beyond reasonable. The wife and I loved it!

  • Matt M.

Phenomenal burgers. Even better atmosphere. Great place for a burger and a drink. Dinner for 2 with drinks will cost you about $40. Locally owned and had a chance to chat with owner.

This is one of the best places to eat in Old Town Clovis. Love the food, love the service, love the beer. Oh and LOVE the desserts (handmade by Kristi). I have never had a meal at this place that I didn't love. This is our go to place on Friday nights. Keep up the good work!!!!

Very good. The party I was with ordered 4 different burgers and they were all great. If you are looking for a drink that the pomegranate sangria. It is amazing.

EDIT! After dealing with a medical condition, I no longer have the problem I once had with wheat! I'm not going to edit the body of my review because it still stands, but I wanted to say that I no longer have problems with wheat! Went here not too long ago, and really enjoyed the food. The ambiance could use a little work though. I have a wheat allergy, so I brought my own bun, which they were happy to use. Overall the food was amazing. My father-in-law hated the juju potatoes, but the rest of us loved them! I got their cheeseburger (I don't remember their burger names), and it was perfectly cooked!

  • Andalee O.

Ordered sliders. Athena, Calamity Jane, dragon Lady. Yes. Yes. And yes! Didn't expect to stumble on this jewel but glad we did. The juju potatoes are sooo good. Had them with the Kalmata aioli. Will be coming back soon.

  • Landon B.

We love this place... Everyone we bring here loves it too. Nothing bad on the menu. The chili is spicy good, the potatoes with spicy garlic sauce is great. All burgers are fantastic, they even have a burger in a bowl that is filling if you can't have the bun. A must to check out.

We are visiting our family here in Clovis and doing what tourist do, we visited the downtown area. We stumbled across the House of Ju Ju. What a Gem!! The staff is awesome and quite welcoming. The food is excellent, I had the Leticia Burger and it was sooo good, and the red potatoes were cooked to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant highly. Next trip to Clovis, we will definitely visit the House of Ju Ju.

Came here last night with my family and had a mediocre experience. I had a bite of my husband's bison burger and it was surprisingly tasty. I had the Juju bleu, per the waitress' recommendation and it was good. We could have done without the loaded potatoes though, as they were just meh. The chili was just okay. What I found quite rude was when the older couple, the owners, I assume, came around to all the other tables asking how everyone was liking the food, except for us. The older lady was very attentive to the table in front of us, not once, making eye contact with us. The older man just avoided our table, as he made his way across the room. It just got uncomfortable so we left immediately after paying the tab. Overall, we had an okay food experience and the dining experience could have been better, had the owners checked in on us as well. It was just a bad first impression.

Had dinner here on Friday evening with my wife and kids. The owner greeted me like we were old friends. Before eating a single bite of food, I knew I would love this place. The food didn't disappoint. I had the Juju Blue, and my wife had the Dragon Lady. AMAZING!! They had 3 different local (559 Brewing) beers on tap along with a wide selection in bottles. Instead of French fries the have sliced roasted potatoes, Sooo good! It is a family owned and operated restaurant, tucked away in old town. Do yourself a favor and go meet Scott, JuJu, and the rest of the family. We will be back... Soon!

I absolutely love this place. It's pretty small inside, but I really like sitting on the patio. The food is always really yummy. I usually go for the leticia which has pepper jack cheese avocado a pepper and spicy mayo. Has a great spice to it but not overwhelming. The sliders are yummy too. I was initially put off that they didn't serve fries with their burgers but potatoes. They are pretty good with their dipping sauces. The only thing that could be improved is their wine and beer selection. I'm not a wine drinker but fiend is and doesn't love it. I love a good draft beer but they don't have great selection. They feature Riley's which I'm not fan of. They've had some great rotating taps but they don't stick around. That being said they have some great bottled selections but if I'm going out I like a good draft. Oh I almost forgot...one of the waitresses makes all the cakes for desert and they are amazing.

My mom and I decided to give this place a try the other day after hearing nothing but great reviews. I guess we happened to hit it when there was a rush (which the waitress did warn us about) We ended up waiting over an hour for our food. We decided on the Athena with a Portabello mushroom instead of meat with a side of the potatoes and garlic aoli. The burger was delicious and the potatoes where cooked perfectly but I found them to be very salty unfortunately. I would definatly give this place another shot though at a later time of day and ask for no salt on the potatoes but it was really good other then that!

    (4)
  • Steve G.

This place is amazing, the Athena is my favorite but nothing has let me down at all. Flatbreads are great but the burgers with roasted potatoes are amazing.

    (5)
  • Tara S.

Hands down the best burger in the central valley! I moved out of state and can no longer enjoy these burgers at my leisure, however, you can bet that I'll be at house of juju every visit home! leticia w/ bison!!!! enough said!

  • Todd M.

Tried this place out based on the other reviews and a recommendation from a coworker. Being fairly new to the area I had been looking for a gourmet burger place that was not affiliated with a chain; house of JuJu fit the bill and then some. I had the calamity Jain which was outstanding and got the roasted potatoes with the garlic dipping sauce which were equally as good. I will most certainly be coming back!

Traveling through town from San Diego. We yelp'd restaurants in the area and decided this fit our palette perfectly. We were greeted by the owner immediately who mentioned the wait would be 15 minutes on a Friday night at 6:15pm. We decided to sit outside in 100 degree weather. It worked out fine as the dining room was quite loud. They need to install some type of acoustical tiles to quiet the room. I decided on the Athena portobello mushroom on a salad with a side of potatoes and chipotle dipping sauce. The salad dressing on the salad was quite strong and thick but tasted so yummy that I forfeited complaining. The mushroom was prepared perfectly. I would have liked a little more baby greens on the bottom. The side of potatoes were incredible. So good, we asked for an additional side. The chipotle sauce was perfect. We also dipped in my husband's balsamic sauce. It too was incredible. Hubby shares the 3 sampler slider. One Athena, one Calamity Jane and one Betsy Ross. Son says the Betsy Ross was "the best". Husband loved the 2 other slider with the Athena pulling ahead of the Calamity. They too loved the potatoes. Daughter ordered the Dragon Lady Style Salad. Yummy. The dressing is a bit Spicy but the heat doesn't last long. It was so fresh and crispy. The dressing was a bit heavy. I would suggest asking to go light on the dressing. She too loved the potatoes. The table next to us ordered a layered salted caramel chocolate cake that is handmade here. They had one piece left. We just couldn't find any room left in the gut to put the final course. If we ever return to Clovis, we will return to this sweet find. I recommend you do the same. You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I went today and loved it! We had a great burger and beer. We will be back to try the desserts. Love this place.

  • Julie W.

This is my absolute favorite burger place! I took my husband here and he loved it. They have wonderful salads too. I order the dragon lady salad when I don't order a burger.

    (5)
  • Melanie D.

Another phenomenal meal! Some of the by far best hamburgers I have had in my life. If you are going on a date and want to try all the burgers, go for one of each and try them out to find your favorite. The sauces that come on the burger, and the quality of the food is hands down better than the other burger restaurants in town. Portions are huge, and the flavors are a for sure party in your mouth.

  • Tony D.

This was our first time here. Great service, great food and beer. We all had burgers and all sides (tried them all) were great. Would definitely be back!

  • Luke D.

Dragon Lady, add side of potatoes w/spicy garlic sauce, nuff said. Absolutely incredible burger!

    (5)
  • Justin T.

Great burger place! The service is alittle slow but the place is always packed. House of JuJu has friendly staff and owners come out to greet people. Would recommend to everyone!

    (5)
  • Kevin S.

Was a little nervous because the reviews were all over the place, but I have to say... Probably one of the best burgers in Clovis or Fresno.

    (5)
  • Lisa M.

Love this place, would give it a 5 star but location is lacking. I wishing it was where Forestier's is...it would do better than them. The food is so much better!

    (4)
  • Billy K.

Tried this place after randomly finding it through Yelp and it is yet another Old Town Clovis hidden gem (literally)! I had the slider combo with the calamity jane, dragon lady and Athena and they were all delicious! Definitely going back!

    (5)
  • Denise H.

Best burger around and the cole slaw was amazing. So many sauces to try and add to the entree. Service very good and owner is hands on - very friendly. I love supporting local!

    (5)
  • Julie W.

My co-worker raved about this place which is probably what set me up for a bit of a letdown. The burgers were unique and tasty (buns were fantastic) but the potatoes were gummy and lukewarm. Maybe we got a bad batch?! We were also charged for a refill on my 8yr olds drink. Not cool. Overall we felt it was overpriced and we probably won't be back.

  • Gina G.

Being from the Bay Area I am always challenged to find a meal in Fresno that qualifies to my standards. Well this little, charming place is DELICIOUS!! Service is excellent, nuance of Flavors impressive!!

  • Alicia H.

Awesome place! I appreciate the salad option for burgers. Great beer selection...hoping for more drafts soon.

  • Claudia B.

OMG!!! One word!! Delicious! I have almost eaten my way through the menu hee hee......So many wonderful flavors and styles to eat them. This place is by far my favorite place to dine in down town Clovis. Always friendly staff with great service. I have worked in down town Clovis for over 15 years, and this restaurant is just what Clovis needed Thumbs Up!! emoji! When are you coming to Fresno??????

  • Joseph C.

Great lunch place. I Have came here twice now and love it, they have really good burgers and the salads look good too

  • Paolo A.

I was looking to grab a burger with my wife and 2 young children (19 months and 2 1/2 years) when we came across this place. Very kid friendly. A nice variety of hamburgers. Surprisingly no fries, but there were a good set of options for sides. The burgers were prepared well and tasty. We will be coming back soon.

    (5)
  • Daniel K.

Loved the burger, I ordered med rare, it came out pretty much raw, I told the waiter and it came back perfectly cooked. To me when something is not cooked right it makes all the difference on how they treat you and your item when it is delivered back. The waiter was professional and courteous, the cook came out and apologized, and the second time around it was perfect. Only thing I would say was after living in Clovis for twenty years I hadn't heard of this gem of a restaurant until about a month ago. Now I don't have to drive to the end of Nees ave to get a good burger. btw they comp'd my craft beer for my trouble, 100% class, thanks guys!

  • Chelsea M.

Best burger I've ever had. The Athena burger. Service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was a bit old fashioned which I like.

    (5)
  • Laura F.

Superb food and service! Nothing "cookie cutter" about the menu. Something for everyone at a great price. Try the "559" IPAs!

  • Bekki O.

Tried it for the first time this week and it was delicious. Love the slider combo. Gives a person an opportunity to taste test. Service was quick and good. Will definitely return.

Nice burgers and good atmosphere! I've been here a few times and everything tastes great and service is always spot on!

  • Ashely S.

I absolutely LOVE this place. It was once a kept secret of old town... Now it's the place to be, rightfully so! My husband and I go there regularly and have our favorite servers, but all are very helpful! Justin (the manager), Christie, and Dale have most frequently been our servers and they are all exceptional, plus they all like to joke around and keep up with my husbands sarcasm! The food is out of this world, I have dreams about the calamity Jane at night. Christies homemade desserts are phenomenal too!! We highly suggest this place, best burgers we've ever had and the best waiters we've ever had!

    (5)
  • J C.

up front, i can see how their small staff could be overwhelmed if they were extra busy. will leave that as the food for thought, because based on the food, they should stay busy. that said, they had things well in hand tonight; we stopped in while we were waiting for the farmers' market to start (and were hungry). The food was delicious! I had the Juju Bleu, with the Dragon Lady slaw..tried without the little cup of garlic aioli, then a bit with...and tossed the rest in. it's good without, and even better with. bonus points for actually being able to cook the burgers all the way through without turning them to charcoal at the edges like some places. We also traded tastes across the table; also got a taste of the Calamity Jane, and a chicken/tomato/olive/kalamata sauce flatbread...everything was great. DIdn't notice when we were in, but the hours (according to yelp, anyway) are even generous for Clovis...11pm friday and saturday night? All kinds of win. unless they disappear out of the blue, i WILL be back.

  • Jay P.

The most delicious hamburgers in Fresno/Clovis. Compares favorably to Umami Burger in terms of sheer taste. Service friendly, but needs to get some kinks worked out re: the organization of the floor (seating is self serve). Would never have thought to look here for a restaurant, but when I found it, I was impressed with the quiet vibe. Owners have a legitimate problem on their hands: their concept is so incredibly good (healthy hamburger place) and their execution is so flawless that they are bound to grow into something special. Real potential here!

My family went to House of JuJu to celebrate our two daughter's getting excellent grades at school. This was the only restaurant they could both agree on. My husband and I both ordered our burgers in a bowl since we've chosen a low carb lifestyle. I was a little skeptical about getting my Calamity Jane on a bed of mixed greens, but I should have known better. My burger in a bowl was delicious, as was my husband's. We were both very satisfied, the only thing that we wish they would do is cut up the meat for us beforehand because it's a little hard to do it ourselves in the bowl. We opted for the chili instead of the outstanding JuJu potatoes, but the chili was so tasty and delicious I didn't even miss the potatoes. Loved the kick that the chili had. Spicy good! My brother and daughter both had burgers, the JuJu Blue, and a Calamity Jane and they were both more than satisfied. My youngest daughter always orders the kids cheese and garlic flatbread and she devoured it as well. House of JuJu continues to serve us exceptional food, at fair prices, and with great customer service. There is no doubt we will be back again soon

This was our first time here. Food was fantastic. Had the JuJu Bleu and would highly recommend it. And the desert was awesome. It changes each night so we will be back!!

Great food. Great people. A nice casual place with a unique flare, which is a welcome change to the corporate chain restaurants. Apparently they also use local resources as much as possible. Excellent!

  • George F.

I was here the week it opened...and said I'd be back someday...well it took awhile so I went on and read the reviews...lots of 5 stars....first of all I liked the servers and the people...very nice....I had the Juju Bleu and my friend had the Calamity Jane....I also had the chili side and he had the slaw....then I split some cheesy potatoes with him. I was swayed by the picture on yelp....well ours did not look like that...ours was black not cheesy. (cheese, bacon, and potatoes have sodium/salt)...and I tasted added salt in the potatoes???...no need to add salt...it was TOO SALTY. The burgers were ok...but pricey. Mine again was salty and had a reduction or the onions in something and it was overpowering. My chili tasted like an average CAN of chili. (see I make chili for people for parties and football games and THEY RAVE about mine)...Plus the best chili out is nothing like mine and its better...WESTWOOD BBQ White bean chicken chili...oh my thats good).......the tea was weak but ok......we were in there by 11:30am and when we left the place was full (except outside...too cold)....so they have a following. Just my opinion but I was disappointed.

  • Isaac S.

We came to this place because my gf wanted a juicy burger and would not settle for anything. We live in southeast Fresno and yelped for burgers around our area and this place popped up so we gave it a go. All I have to say is this place is amazing. the burgers are great sizes, not too overpriced, and their kid portions for our daughters were just right. try the chipotle sauce on your burgers and fries.

    (4)
  • J A.

Very good burgers and sauces and toppings. Had the sliders -- they were thin but tasty. Very nice staff and cute place. Pretty busy at lunch.

My husband and I have been twice and enjoyed a very different style hamburgers! Love the little baked purple potatoes with dipping sauce! Yummy! My favorite is Dragon Lady!

  • Tammy M.

This place is amazing! We changed our order and made it to go because they were so busy on the Friday night we were there. The food was just delicious even though we had to take it home. The sauces on the burgers made them unique and the three I had were so good. Gourmet burgers at their best.

    (5)
  • Brian C.

Absolutely amazing! Best burger I have ever had. We will now be regulars that is a promise. Hats off to an amazing family that runs this joint.

So my coworker told me about this place n Clovis with BOMB gourmet burgers. I told her "it's not considered gourmet unless they use 80/20 chuck beef AND a Brioche bun. And wudnt u know it....I go n there n the menu says "all our burgers r chuck beef with brioche bun!!" Im a traditionalist when it comes to burgers so i got the Betsy Ross but added a 2nd patty bcuz I love to eat. Burger very tasty, meat cooked medium perfectly pink n juice n the middle. And i liked the way the bun soaked up the meat juice very tasty. Justin is the owner/manager answered all my questions. They have NO FRYERS n the back so ur not gona get fries. They tryna promote a "healthy" burger spot. The food kinda reminds me of Dusty Buns style. So if ur into that type of food then this is ur place:-). Definitely will b back!!

BOMB. You have to go and try this at least once!

Burger was pretty good, just cooked right and flavorful. The place is nice, hidden away but still quite a few people there for lunch. The salad was fresh. The food was super super fast to be ready! Server was very nice. I recommend the place. Only lost one star because a little bit pricey. (12 dollars for a burger)

Following shopping for fruit at the Old Town Clovis Farmers Market tonight, we enjoyed our first visit to the House of JuJu. We loved the food: the blue burger was excellent; the JuJu potatoes were something else though - savory, cooked perfectly, not burned or greasy; the Athena salad was very tasty, but maybe a little heavy (might be better on a flat plate than in a bowl). The local brews were very good, especially the Tioga/Sequoia General Sherman IPA. I would like to see some more craft beers added: more (local) W Brewing Co. beers (not a fan of the fruity one tonight), plus House of Pendragon (Sanger) and Dust Bowl Brewing Co. (Turlock). The ambience was great and the service was very good too. Really loved it. We'll be back.

    (5)
  • Margaret S.

The food was very good but I thought the teriyaki was a bit heavy on the Dragon Lady slaw. I had the Chicken sandwich with the slaw and it was otherwise wonderful. My companion had the lettuce wedge salad and was very pleased. There was one big problem. It took us over 45 minutes to get our food and that is really not acceptable. We would like to try this place one more time and if it is just as slow or almost as slow we will not go back.

  • Mario L.

Great Burgers! I had the Calamity Jane, a western style burger with BBQ sauce. The chili was also very tasty. Plenty of beers on tap and in bottles. Atmosphere is relaxed a great place to just chill and eat a burger and a beer. Also, be sure to try the dipping sauces! Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are just right. While it may seem small compared to other restaurants, I walked out of there satisfied, not stuffed. This place is a hidden gem in Clovis.

Went in with wife today because we found this place on yelp and we were quiet surprised. The place is a homey with a small outside patio. We both had burgers and every part of the burger seemed to have been individually grilled/cooked to perfection. The buns were perfectly toasted with a brush of butter/oil. No one item in the burger stood out it was just a awesome blend of flavor. Hands down best burgers I've had in the area in a long time. Service was great and friendly.

Excellent! Creative and delicious salads, burgers, and sandwiches. Cute little patio and great selection of beer. Reasonably priced too! Leticia salad was $8, burger & side salad were about $10.

Great place. Had the Leticia burger, with avocado, chipotle ketchup. Good bun, too. Plenty of choices for a "burger joint" - different burgers, dogs, salads, flatbread pizzas. Potatoes were a nice variant re fries, and kalamata aioli was perfect!

  • Megan W.

Best Burger in Town! (Fresno or Clovis) We came to House of JuJu because I won a gift certificate at a charity event. I'd never heard of it, but my husband had heard good things, so we were excited to try it. It did not disappoint! I ordered the JuJu Bleu style ground chuck burger and my husband had the Calamity Jane bison burger. Both were cooked exactly to our liking at medium rare (as requested). Hubby had the Chef Will's chili and I had the JuJu potatoes for our respective sides. The chili was great, just enough heat, meaty and delicious. The potatoes were also delicious, perfect for dipping in the juicy Bleu cheese drippings coming off my burger. The brioche bun was tasty and the burger fit on it perfectly. Our server was very attentive and helpful, as was the gentleman behind the counter when we walked in. They explained the menu thoroughly after we told them it was our first time there. We both enjoyed Tioga-Sequoia beers. I cannot say enough positive things about House of JuJu. Support our local, family-owned businesses, especially ones this good! Drink (and eat!) local.

Best Burger I've tasted in a while. Patricia Burger with the Bison Patty is very good. Local Beer on Tap is a plus!

Wife and I tried this last friday night.. place was busy and they were short a person.. Service was still great.. we opted to sit at the bar.. we got drinks quickly and we didn't have to wait long to order.. We ordered the bacon/cheese potato appetizer and we got a sample of all the sauces they use on the burgers.. was great.. we ordered the sliders to try the various burgers.. they were good and we'll be back.. it was friendly and had a great vibe. the only negative thing i could say is that the potatoes portion that comes with the entree's is a bit sparse.. had we not ordered the appetizer i still would have been hungry.

House of JuJu rocks! Excellent, fresh, quality food at reasonable prices. Great vibe. If you're a foodie, you will totally dig this place. Oh, and if you appreciate great beer on tap, you will be a happy camper. Now... A confession! This is the first review I've written. Yep, I'm a slacker. I have totally benefited from many reviews here on Yelp and now it is my turn to finally give back! (By the way - this is only their 3rd month in business so if you happen to be here when they're a little understaffed for the flow, they will promptly say so. You will appreciate the head's up and have the choice to stay and perhaps wait a few minutes for your food or a drink refill, or move along if your schedule is inflexible. Warning: Dine here once and you're likely to become a regular.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. The semi I had in my pants the whole time I ate there was enough for this to be my new favorite place. Good God best burger I have had in forever. Two words, Bison Burger.......... That's it. Your welcome.

After hearing good things about this place, and reading the positive yelp reviews, we decided to have a girls lunch date. From some of the photos posted, you'd think it was a pub. It is not. While there is a bar, it does not overpower this cozy restaurant. I was glad about that. I feel comfortable bringing non drinkers here. The restaurant features gourmet beef, turkey, bison, and portobello burgers, an array of salads, and scratch made dipping sauces and dressings. With all those choices, we all ordered the Juju burger. I ordered mine with a turkey patty. My turkey burger was very tasty! The turkey was moist. I thought the roasted onions added a nice touch, and complimented the saltiness of the bacon and blue cheese. What I liked the most about my turkey burger was the bun! A soft pillowy bun, buttery and toasty on the inside. Toasted bun perfection! No complaints on the food. I will warn you though. When we arrived, at 11:30 am the AC was reading 79. When we left, a couple of hours later it was 83! I was staying hydrated with the pitcher of water, the waiter was nice enough to bring, so the heat built up gradually. I may consider visiting, again, when the weather cools a bit. I did notice the other shops in this building were warm, too!

An employee suggested this place to my husband. We decided to try it today. Our waitress said she was new and was still awesome!!! We had the calamity jane burger and salad. It was very tasty! Love the ambiance as well. We will be back. :)

Great burgers and roasted potatoes. Make sure to get the dipping sauces for the 'taters. All the patties are good,so try all 3. Beer selection is getting better, and will be 100% better as soon as the 559 "beer" is gone.

This hidden gem was so yummy! I highly recommend their sliders, you have the choice of 3 of the mini gourmet burgers. I had their juju blue, dragon lady and their calamity burger all the were excellent and their roasted potatoes were to die for :)

This was our first visit, and it won't be our last. House of JuJu was recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, and the service was fast and friendly. The only complaint was that the fans were on too high which cause a bit of a cold draft. However, once we mentioned this to the waitress it was rectified.

After my 3rd visit, it's definitely time to write a review. Absolutely love this place! The food is fantastic - especially the dragon lady. Love their beer selection too. The family atmosphere is great - love the entire staff, they make you feel a part of the family when you are there. Great food, fantastic atmosphere. So happy to have found this place!

Got the Leticia burger the bun was grilled and had an awesome crunch at the end of the bite, burger was juicy and cooked perfectly, and the toppings were full of flavor. Service was prompt but the potatoes were just roasted potatoes without a ton of flavor.

My husband and I have been here twice and enjoyed it both times. Very good hamburgers and I love the potato side. My husband said the chili was excellent. They have some great options on the hamburgers, beef, buffalo or portobello mushrooms. Everything was very fresh. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was the limited menu. Flat-breads, hamburgers are about it. It is more of a bar setting with tvs playing sports games but weather permitting they have a nice patio.

This is our go-to restaurant when we want to go out! Can't get enough of the food (Dragon Lady salad is awesome) & the service is always so friendly. They also have great beer selections on tap. Hope to see this place in Clovis for many years!

My favorite place in Clovis. The Athena burger is so good (both with a bun or in a salad) that I can't seem to order anything else. The olive sauce is to die for.

Great place! Delicious food. Friendly service.

    (5)
  • Leanne F.

SO good. Had the Leticia burger & it was one of the best burgers I've had. They only use the top 2% grade beef, so you get great quality for the price-I think my burger was only $11 with side. The patio is great if the weather's nice. Family-owned, just genuine, great service.

  • Tasha E.

Some really bomb burgers.. Must try the Athena, calamity jane, and Juju bleu. Also the roasted potatoes are delicious. Definitely great service very attentive and friendly. Recommend this place to everyone in the area. If I could I would give 10 stars!

  • Craig Y.

This was one of the best burgers I have ever had! I had the Leticia Burger which is pepper jack cheese with an Ortega chile and I switched out the avocado for the caramelized onions. I had the bison burger and not only was it the best bison burger but one of the best burgers anywhere. They also use Mary's air-chilled chicken on the menu as well as regular beef. The dragon lady slaw was tasty. Loved it. Only drawback would be no fries. They had healthier for you roasted potatoes which were good but needed maybe a sauce or sour cream. I would give it a four and a half if they had half stars because of the potatoes (no fries) and lack of kids menu (although my daughter loved the jumbo hit dog)! You must come here!

Anazing burgers! I recommend the Calamity Jane. The best part is the customer service. Everyone is extremely friendly. I highly suggest trying this place out!

had the basic 9.95 burger to play it safe. honestly, you would swear you were in Monterey or someplace other than Clovis. probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. had the slaw with it. different but top shelf. the server suggested I use the garlic aoli on it if it was too sweet. I'm telling you, I would bathe in that stuff if I could! next time I will order the burger without the dressing and with the garlic aoli. service was perfect. we were there for lunch on a wed. the young man was busy but kept my tea glass full, checked on us, great service. tough location. many businesses have not made it back in that corner, but if they continue with the quality food, pay their employees well to stay, they will make it. the only suggestion is larger tea glasses. tea is cheap to make and you don't have to take time from other customers by having to refill so often. anyway, this is a great place that I will return to soon!

  • Krys H.

Excellent food! Great menu with many different burger options. Great service too. Everything tasted really fresh. You can even order their sliders (3) in any combnation of burgers you want. My husband and I both really enjoyed it. We spoke to the owner who said we are welcome to bring our dogs and sit on the patio, which is a huge plus for us.

Super duper good. Went on the recommendation of a coworker. It was pretty busy, but we were able to get two seats at the bar. Small (4) selection of beers on tap, many options for bottle though. Very small restaurant, so seating will always be limited I think. Nice patio for outdoor seating though. Husband got the Calamity Jane with taters. He said it was really good, but he was still hungry afterwards. He eats a lot though. I got the sliders, and chose the Athena, Dragon Lady, and Betsy Ross with a side of chilli. Athena was nice, a sweet sauce on it. Dragon lady was spicy! Sweet and spicy, loved the slaw on top. The Betsy Ross, honestly by the third one and my chilli I was full so my husband ate it, he said it was good though. Their buns are divine. So, why not 4 stars? Just a few things that were off. First, when you walk in, there is no one to greet you and no sign saying please wait, or anything. So we walked around for a bit until a waitress told us there was a waiting list. To be fair, they do not have the space nor the staff for a hostess station, but still, a sign would be nice. Second, when you first walk it in smells. Like... musty. It could just be my pregnancy nose being crazy, but it had a distinct smell. Third, I had iced tea and it was REALLY watered down. Like it tasted like water. So that was sad. All in all though, a solid first impression. Great imagination when it comes to these burgers. Someone needs to call Diners, Drive Ins and Dives.

Great burger, potatoes and beer selection. They were so accommodating with my dairy and soy allergies! We will def be back!

  • Ron W.

The food was good. I had the Athena Bowl with Bison. The kalamata dressing was great. Liked my meal. My 7 year old liked his burger. My only issue is we waited soooooo long to get waited on and when the waitress finally came around she waited on others who came in after us. I gathered from the conversation she knew them as they took a long time to order an chat. Luckily one of the guys was on the ball saw this and came out and took good care of us. If I was them I would just pay more attention to customer care. The food is good and I recommend it.

Good hamburger but fries....... Who has burgers but no grouse this is a huge blow to this spot. The service is ok and and I think they are over priced. But honestly having no fries just kills everything

Made our first visit on Jan. 4. Met one of the owners and her daughter, and they were great, friendly. We were interested in their burgers, and we both had the dragon lady burger. Really good flavors, both the toppings and the meat. They cook all their burgers well done, which isn't my favorite. I will ask for medium next time, and we will certainly go back. And the prices are fair for a really good burger.

  • Jay D.

I've been here twice (well three times but the first time we didn't eat because it was too crowded, stupid parade). I've had the Calamity Jane and Leticia burgers which were really good. I even asked them to cook them medium and what do you know the cook knows what they are doing! Of course you have to have the "famous" fingerling potatoes. Relax they are not that famous (not even a reality show on E!). They are just normal roasted potatoes (some are purple, don't panic they taste the same as the others) pretty good with the dipping sauces they were a bit on the salty side. The menu is limited to burgers, flat bread, and bowls (think burger in a bowl sans bun, for all you Atkins carb Nazis). If I could have given half stars I'd give it 4 1/2 stars, but I'm going to round down for the salty potatoes, limited menu, and absolutely no place to stand/sit when waiting for a table. If I had to wait 10 minutes for a table and you were seated next to the door I would totally breath down your neck and steal your kids chocolate pudding (fact, they have chocolate and vanilla pudding for the kiddos).

  • Valerie S.

Loved it! Hubby and I both had assorted sliders and the food and service was outstanding! Can't wait to go back and try out the other other menu items!

I was really looking forward to giving the House of JuJu a great review....but 'm sad to say, I just can't. The atmosphere upon arrival was nice - there are about 12 tables inside and a patio outside with several more. The obnoxiously loud door chime alerted the waitress that we had arrived - she came from the back quickly and greeted us warmly, inviting us to sit wherever we liked. Less than half of the tables were full, so to have some space and privacy the two of us sat at a table for 6. We missed happy hour by 20 minutes, so the guests that were there left and soon many other guests began to arrive. Everyone was told to find their own seat and several minutes later the one of two waitress would bring you some dirty paper menus to look over - and offer you a drink. The alcohol came very fast, but it was almost impossible to get your water refilled. As the place got busier, I felt bad the two of us had taken a table for six, but my husband reminded me, "They tell everyone to sit wherever they want - so apparently they aren't concerned about it." I was excited to try the sliders, so I could taste the different burgers. At the time, I thought the sliders were exactly like the original size burger, since the menu does say to choose any 3 of the gourmet burgers (not minus the avocado, the bacon, etc). My husband got the Calamity Jane. For as busy as they were, the food came out pretty quick. (no sauces or ketchup was given for the juju potatoes, it took about 5 minutes to flag down 1 of the 2 waitress' to bring us something to dip our taters in). My potatoes were exactly as my husbands. Soft on the inside and at some point, I'm sure crispy on the outside - but they were no more than lukewarm at this point. My sliders were cold. cold. cold. cold. It's as if they started our burgers at the same time and my little burgers sat while my husbands meal was finished. I took a bit of his full size burger - and it was pretty good....and HOT! I got cold meat, cold caramelized onions, the only thing that was good was the slaw, and that's because slaw is supposed to be cold. The burger was dried up by then (because they do cook all meat well done unless you ask otherwise - which if cooked to well, then allowed to sit for 10 minutes - yep way over cooked). The waitresses were very kind and attentive, but way too busy to be helpful. If they had one more person in there, it would have made a huge difference. When my husband and I go out for a quick bite - I prefer to be in and out in about 45 minutes. We were there over an hour - trying to get our ticket took awhile - waiting for our credit card back took awhile - etc. etc. And did I say the door chime was absolutely annoying? The girls at the table behind us were murmuring about it too. With all the great reviews, I will probably go back for a try at their flatbreads - but I know of other places in Fresno I can get way better sliders.

Delicious and generous sized burgers (a carnivore's delight!), and great service!!! Was a busy Friday, but husband and I got seated almost right away. It is a family affair and it seems to work wonderfully. Owners are friendly and welcoming! As we were leaving, I noticed we were not the only ones commenting that we have found our new best burger joint!! Highly recommended!!!

Not a family place. There is no kids menu. Service is ok could be better. Burgers are good but the have no fries. What's a burger with no fries!? Place looks fancy but food isn't fancy. The only good thing about this place was there burgers! Very fresh and tasty! Price is very high. For my husband, my son (4 yrs) and myself was $31. My husband and I got a burger and my son just got a hot dog.

  • Gretchen H.

Very tasty! We had the dragon lady steak salad, Athena steak salad, and dragon lady burger. Then we ordered a flatbread with dragon lady sauce and slaw. The waitress looked at us like we were crazy but it was daaaaang good! My only complaint would be I would have liked a little bit more steak on my salad. It was very well cooked and excellent quality though. My sister thought the Athena salad was a little plain and should have ordered the dragon lady. My brother said it was the best burger he had ever had!

Very delicious! First time here and loved it! The service is excellent and people are very friendly. I will definitely come back to enjoy some of the local brews they have. I love the sauces that they make. I couldn't decide on what sauce to get with my potatoes so I ended up with the chipotle. I could put that stuff on anything mmmm soooo good. I like to try local eats instead of going to the usual chain restaurants so I would highly recommend this place to everyone

Outstanding in every way. This place rivals any eatery that you would find in SF or LA. Unfortunately this is the only restaurant of its kind within 100 miles, so it will always be packed.

Excellent burgers and sides. I wish they were a little more consistent with their food. But when they're off, the food is still decent. House of JuJu will become a regular for us.

Tried this place for the first time and it was so good! I'm super picky but I was so happy with my food. I had the sliders it was awesome to get to try a couple different burgers. My husband is a big eater and he left completely full. Well go back soon! So cool to have such a yummy place so close to home.

Best burgers in central Cali, period. Blu Bison burger is to die for! Local beers & wines. Small joint, great atmosphere, in a beautiful little part of of Clovis.

That was some good juju!!! I discovered this hidden gem by recommendation of a friend and it does not disappoint! We loved the quirky menu, juicy burgers, rockin' potatoes and cozy hometown vibe. There was ample parking at 7pm on a week night and we were quickly seated at the bar. It's small place, so I could see how tables might fill up quickly at a busier time. The menu is fun and variable enough to please a variety of palates. We'll definitely be back for this little piece of foodie heaven tucked away in downtown Clovis!!!

FOOD: I ordered a burger starting with an "L" which was very good. My wife ordered 3 different types of sliders. She liked them all too. The potatoes were excellent. The chili was okay. SERVICE: Servers were very friendly and helpful. ATMOSPHERE: Could be quiet or loud depending on your fellow patrons. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. Sadly located in the far back of a strip mall like location. It could be hard to find, but it should be found.

This is one of my favorite burger joints hands down! (My other fav is The Mad Duck which is also stellar). They have unique burgers and great dipping sauces! Dragon slaw is on point! And the build your own pizza is a must. This joint is on the bike trail and that's a plus is my book! Good family feel to it because it's family owned!

  • Mandy U.

The service was great and the food was extremely delicious! We live near Old Town Clovis and have been wanting to try this place and we are so glad that we did. I had the Leticia burger - it was just the right amount of spicy and had wonderful flavor overall. The restaurant/bar has a welcoming vibe and we will definitely be back!

  • leonard v.

I had the slider combo and got mini versions of Athena, Leticia and dragon lady. While the sliders do not have all the fixings of the full size burgers they were still very delicious. My mouth waters at the thought of full size burgers and the amaziness they must be here. The potatoes that came with the sliders were some of the best damn potatoes I ever had. And any place that has narwhal on tap deserves 5 stars

  • Cassie G.

What a great find! We will definitely be back. The food is absolutely delicious!!! We stopped here last night after an event at the rodeo grounds. After looking on Yelp for a place to grab a bite, we found that almost everything was closed or closing. It was a Wednesday evening about 7:50. I took one more look and saw that JuJu's was open for another hour. I'm so glad we decided to check it out. Each of us ordered the slider combo plate which included our choice of 3 sliders and a side. Between the two of us, we ordered all 6 choices. The burgers were juicy, the bun was perfect and the toppings that made each one unique was a perfect combination of deliciousness. They also have a great beer and wine selection too! This is small, quaint place with a great atmosphere. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I cannot say enough great things about this place!

  • J V.

Visiting relatives in Fresno, relied on Yelp to guide us to a new place to try and they did not steer us wrong! This place rocks...tucked away in the quaint downtown Clovis area - the food was great, the service is great and the staff are all super nice. It's a bit of a small place so you may have to wait to get seated but the wait is worth it! Highly suggest 2 things - call ahead to give them a heads up if you have a large group (anything over 4!) and going before 6pm for the discounted Happy Hour menu - we tried almost everything and they were all delicious!!

  • Sheila B.

This place has a wonderful charm and amazing taste! It's worth the upgrade to a bison patty on any burger you choose. I was originally saddened by the lack of fries, but the roasted potatoes cured the disappointment. We just found out they're opening a Morro Bay location, WooHoo!

    (5)
  • Ana E.

Best place in town if you want amazing food...amazing service at a reasonable price! Recommend the Leticia Burger with roasted potatoes and Chipotle sauce...I ordered the low carb version "Burger in a bowl"...owners Julie and Scott friendly and passionate about what they do!

  • Cy H.

What an awesome find! It's not often where you can find a restaurant that prides itself on developing friendships with its customers, simple and decadent flavors, and 'good juju.' The House of JuJu offers a flexible menu for the guy looking for a savory burger or those looking to watch their figure without compensating for meal size or taste. Their JuJu Blue Burger in a bowl (substitute mixed greens) with their mango sangria made for a perfect lunch.

    (5)
  • Jamie S.

I love this place! I always only get the slider option. It's great because you can pick 3 different burgers and try them all to see what you like. My absolute favorite is the Dragon Lady. It's really good if you like sweet and savory. My second favorite is the Athena burger. The spicy garlic sauce is very good and the Kalamata sauce is also a great choice. Can't go wrong with any of their burgers. Oh and the BUNS are amazing! I never leave disappointed. Highly recommend this place to the burger lovers out there!

Loved burger here! I think it's best burger in town. Tasty patty, fluffy bread, flavored roasted potatoes, everything was exellent. Great service as well! I will definitely go back with my folks.

  • Emily H.

I've eaten here a handful of times now and each has been consistently excellent. I'm always met by friendly staff, somehow connected to the couple who own the restaurant. The menu isn't overwhelming, but has a lot of variety - love the sliders option and ability to change my hamburger to a turkey patty, mushroom, salad or even bison! You can't go wrong with any of the burgers! My favorite is the Dragon Lady Slaw! It's not a thick mayonnaise-based side. I highly recommend the Dragon Lady turkey burger with a side of the potatoes. The brioche bun and aioli with the patty is a perfect combination. Also has a great selection of local beers! The place is intimate and can take awhile to be seated, and they're usually busy, so don't be in a rush when you come. One of the best places to eat in Fresno County.

  • Anthony C.

Love this place. And they do have the best burgers and the best customer service . I will tell all my family and friends.

The food was great. It was a little busy so it took a little time to get service, but once seated we were treated with friendly service. Drinks were never empty and three different staff members checked on our table. The dragon lady slaw was amazing and the staff was great with special requests. My sister loved her dragon lady chicken salad and my burger bowl was fantastic. I would highly recommend the food!

I have remained silent long enough. As you can tell from my profile, I am not one to write many reviews. However, my Leticia burger was THAT GOOD, I felt compelled to write a review. This was my 4th time there, and every time I have LOVED it. I love a good gourmet burger, and this place did not disappoint. In fact, in my opinion, places like this are hard to come by nowadays. They make a burger as good as (dare I say better than?) if I were BBQing in my own back yard. Some reviews I read backed off of a 5-star rating and gave it a 4-star because of its location. That's a business decision. Sure they could probably sell more burgers and make more money if it were in a better location with more exposure. But that is irrelevant when it comes to the food. It does not affect the quality of food or service. If you're like me and appreciate a good gourmet burger, this place is outstanding. And for the money, it's worthy of a 5-star rating for sure! I have two small complaints, and really they're minor. #1 - there are something like 8 gourmet burgers to choose from, and I would love to see a bigger variety. I love trying new things. In particular, I would LOVE to see a tropical / Hawaiian type burger like the Bonzai Burger offered at Red Robin. #2 - not really a complaint, per se, but a fact of life. Because these are gourmet burgers, the price is around $12 or so. That's not very much, especially considering (a) competition, and (b) what you get for the price. That being said, I work just around the corner from JuJu and if these were more in the $8 price range I would be coming here EVERY SINGLE DAY for lunch!!!! Since they're $12 burgers, it's something of a personal reward to get to go there.

Seriously the BEST burgers EVER!!!! My roommate and I just ate there tonight. The server was so nice, not to mention very attractive! But that didn't make him a great server, he was awesome! By far the best hamburger place I've ever eaten. The quality of food is outstanding! I will definitely be going there often!

Accepts american express Dined here on Tuesday, 4/16/14, around 5pm. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and was asked to take a seat wherever we wanted. We sat outdoors in the patio area because clovis was having some beautiful weather. We ordered the Calamity Jane and the Leticia burgers with potatoes. Both had awesome flavor. The portion of potatoes per plate is a little small, but good enough. The potatoes came with dipping sauces to try. The water was filtered and had no disgusting after taste. There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant, but she came by enough times to check on us. I can see how this could be a problem when the restaurant gets more people in.

Bf and I came here to celebrate a belated bday/early valentine's dinner. We've decided that we are going to start coming here regularly because it's amazing!!! A small mom&pop family restaurant and they serve you as if you're a member if their family. Not just that, but the food is exceptional! This was my second time and I got the sliders both times because I like that you can order three different kinds of sliders. The flavors of the different burgers are different from anything I've ever tasted! I've never had burgers this good and I don't usually care for beef. I got the dragon lady, juju bleu, and calamity jane for the sliders and Bf got the dragon lady burger. For our sides we got loaded juju potatoes and dragon lady slaw. We love everything we've tried here so far and we can wait to try them all! I think this is the longest review I've ever written...THAT good! Justin, Scott, Julie (Juju), and Jenay(?) can't wait to see y'all again!

Not a manley man burger joint.. This is more of golf dad/foodie dad type of place. They have a wide selection of bottled beers and a few on tap. The service is friendly and they were fast with drink refills. I had the slider trio. I liked how the meat had a crust on the outside but the burgers were still moist without them being drowned in sauce! I was really looking forward to the juju potatoes but they weren't anything like i thought they would be. Mine came cold and they tasted a little old. Overall i would probably come back with a few friends and order the juju burger but not a place i will probably crave or think of when i want a good burger.

We had a juju burger, and Athena salad, and tried the local brew. Everything was excellent. Most tasty burger either of us has had in a long time. Very friendly and attentive service from the owners. Will definitely be back.
