Damn good! Flavors galore. Specials everyday of the week. Plenty of room. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. I go here. Fini.

To be honest, I wasn't a huge fan, but it could've been an off day. When I came here, it was a busy and hot night. As soon as I walked in, there was no line - just a free for all at the multiple counters. The disorder was a little confusing. You had to flag down a worker, and anyone who flagged someone down sooner than you, even if they came after you, could be served first. I'm not really pushy in that regard, so I didn't really like this. Then, the person who took my order, as sweet as she was, got side tracked a lot. I usually don't mind too much, but when cold ice cream is on the line - as in ice cream that's susceptible to melting and losing its quality with every passing minute - then I mind. So I ordered a banana split, and she would pause and chat with workers in the middle of scooping. And then when she finished getting all the scoops, she was talking to another worker when putting on the whipped cream. I probably got my ice cream almost 5 minutes after I had ordered it. And by the time I served it to my family, it was pretty much already half melted. I think the disorganization made me really dislike my first experience here. I'll try to come back again on a less busy day and only order scoops of ice cream, without all the extra toppings.

Day and Time: Came on a Tuesday afternoon and they weren't giving free samples. But it was only 2.50 for two scoops. They have a large selection of ice cream and gelato and they said everything is homemade. Ice cream selected: Mango gelato and banana graham cracker. The mango tasted so fresh because they get their mangos next door. And luckily we got there when they just finished making the mango gelato. The banana graham cracker tastes amazing. Its their most purchased one and they never take it out. Can't go wrong with the banana graham cracker. Overall: If you really like creamy ice cream try it out. Great service for the one time I went. I will come back

This review is about 6 months old. Sorry for the late review. We happened to be in the area and it was very hot day. My son wanted to eat ice cream so we ended up coming here based on the Yelp reviews. 1) Customer service was good. Friendly staff. 2) We ended up eating outside because inside of the store had the look of surgery room. Didn't feel inviting to sit inside and eat the ice cream. 3) They claim "homemade" but it doesn't mean natural. They probably use artificial flavors and coloring so the ice cream doesn't have the high quality taste. I've had better ice creams elsewhere but

Grandma Pucci's Homemade Ice Cream Shop is an ice cream place located in Chino. From far away, all you see in large capital letters is HOMEMADE ICE CREAM. It's not until you want up close to the front that you see on the left of the HOMEMADE, is this little cartoon grandma holding up a small banner with "Grandma Pucci" in super small letters. We've been here two times. The first time we were greeted as soon as we got in the door. But then I noticed that another family came in and they were asked if it was their first time and went recommendation crazy. It was our first time too but they didn't ask us that. They didn't walk us through the flavors or anything and just stood there. Anyway, we walked around, looked at the flavors, and picked what we thought would be good. At that time I ordered Cookies N Cream Ice Cream. It was good but felt that it had an aftertaste from a different ice cream flavor. So it was like Cookies N Cream with something else. A bit strange. My bf had the Pistachio Ice Cream. He said it was good but he preferred the one at Handel's. It's been a while and wanted to give them another try so we decided to come back recently a few days ago. This time around one of the ice cream servers gave us a super blank stare and didn't say anything until we stood at the counter for like a minute. In the most lifeless voice possible she was like "...Hey guys.." She didn't really say anything afterwards so I had to approach her to ask about certain menu items. She never smiled, widened her eyes a lot, and overall just came off as snippy. These people were nowhere near as cheerful and upbeat like the servers at Frostbites or Handel's. Or super warm and amiable like the grandma at Andrew's Ice Cream. But anyway, this time we ordered a banana split regular size. We got a choice of three different scoops so we chose strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream. For choice of toppings, we just chose hot fudge. They seriously went crazy with the whip cream. Lots of banana slices and generous scoops of the ice cream. The strawberry ice cream almost tasted like Starburst candy strawberry which isn't the flavor I was aiming for. The vanilla ice cream was good. The chocolate ice cream was super rich in chocolate flavor, my favorite of the bunch. The banana slices were fresh and had nice firm texture. We had to rush eating the cream though as it seriously started melting as soon as it got to the table. Overall, the banana split was good, I would just skip the strawberry. By the way, while we were trying to finish the ice cream, I heard another ice cream server greet and ask another customer if this was their first time. Haha. The inconsistencies in service once more are rather interesting. Overall, the ice cream is okay, nothing mind-blowing with the service being a bit lacking. They should hire people that are more friendly. For such a highly rated place, I did have high expectations. I've had better homemade ice cream at other places. I don't think I'll be back here.

Wow, Grandma Pucci's homemade ice cream shop just recently became one of my favorites! It exceeded my expectations - from the delicious waffle cones to the variety of different tasty flavors of ice cream. Each sample was different than the last one, so much so - it was difficult to narrow down my choice(s). Simple decor inside & plenty of tables/chairs for seating. Restroom also available for customers.

Do not buy the Groupon if you do not live close. They do not let you use more then 1 at a time. Loophole, I just had my friends log into my account on their phone and was able to use it. Stupid rule. Also, $5 does not cover much, you will have to pay on top of your order with the Groupon. Service was good, they let us try a lot of samples. Ice Cream is OVERPRICED! Pistachio & Goosebump Waffle Bowl - $5.75 - Pistachio was ok, similar to Thrifty but not as good. Goosebump was decent but the peanut butter gets lost in the dark chocolate after awhile. Waffle bowl was good, strong, sturdy, and delicious. Vanilla Bean FRAPP - $5.50 - Calling it a Frapp is deceiving, no coffee in it at all. It was basically a vanilla smoothie. Would not come back.

2 stars- Meh. Ice cream is very soft, I would of liked it more frozen. 1 scoop is crazy expensive ~$5. I ordered a kids scoop for my kids and they charged me for a regular. Make sure you look at your receipt, I had to point it our to them to void the sale. The manager doesnt make any eye contact or even say hello. The store was pretty empty when we got there, I can see why now. I definitely had better. I would not come back

It was warmer than usual making it a great day for a nice cold afternoon dessert. Who doesn't appreciate good ice cream? I even have lactose intolerant friends that would "sacrifice" themselves for good ice cream. It's funny because as many times I have been in this plaza shopping at Target, I can't believe how I never came across this little jewel. Fellow Yelper "KK" rants about this place, and it was right here all along. I think it's because their sign "Grandma Pucci's" is so small compared to the big sign that reads basically "Ice Cream." Regardless, this place is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. No need to rattle off their menu. I took the easy route and went with the special: Sunday Cookie Craze, which was 3-scoops of ice cream and a cookie. It was better than good. Here are some of the key points: It gets crowded fast. They have daily specials They have lots of flavors They will let you sample A "standard" cone consists of 2-scoops. They have kids size scoops. They accept cash or card. Homemade ice cream. Enjoy!

First time trying this place out. NO REGRETS. Ice cream was yummy. So hard to pick a flavor since they have so many to choose from. Drove 30mins to get here but i will be coming back soon.

One of the best homemade ice cream places period. Love this place so much. My favorite flavors are coffee Oreo fudge, graham cracker crunch and banana graham. You can't go wrong though... Their sundaes r really good too. Really yummy snicker doodle cookies. They also have really good deals during the week especially on Tuesdays. If you're extra hungry or just an ice cream lover like me, get the five scoop sampler. Really good bang for your buck.

I purchased some $5 groupons for this place a couple months ago and have been meaning to try this place for awhile now, but have either been too busy to drive out there or could not find someone who was already with me who would go with--eating ice cream alone is no fun unless one is waddling in front of a TV. When I finally found someone to go with me, we were both so excited that we opted for a lighter dinner so we would have room for dessert. Loved that the parking was not compact and crowded like the place we had gone to for dinner earlier in the evening. The line was a bit long, so I had a hard time studying the menu from afar, in addition to my poor eyesight. I wish they would fit in a description underneath the different sundaes, although our lovely server had no qualms over answering any questions. Had the line not been long behind us, I would have asked to sample some of the weird-sounding flavors, maybe next time. I am quite curious about what exactly is in the Salty Dog. My friend and I decided to share a sampler, that way we could cleanly sample the 5 flavors rather than have toppings and whipped cream (which I LOVE) distract us from the flavors of the ice cream. We chose the yelper #1 recommended flavor-banana graham. Pretty clean and simple-tasted like banana cream and graham crackers! The coffee was exquisite, just the way we love our coffee ice cream-creamy and strong real coffee flavor. Caramel Macchiato was a bit overly sweet for us, but still good flavor. My son loved the blueberry pie as it was packed with blueberry swirl and we all preferred it over the strawberry cheesecake. I was not expecting the storebought chunks of cheesecake that one would find at a frozen yogurt topping bar or dairyqueen blizzard. One thing that was noticeably consistent throughout our dessert was the texture of the ice cream-and the fact that they churned the confection just right and kept it at the perfect temperature to where it stayed at the perfect consistency until we were done with our dessert. This is something I have not come across in a long time. We did enjoy the experience overall. Probably will opt for cones next time since I love waffle cones to off set the sugar. I am still recovering from last night's sugar rush haha. More recently my source of sweets had been mainly fresh fruits, so my palate has changed quite a bit. I do indulge once in awhile. The servers are very friendly and deserve tips, especially if a groupon is taking care of most of the tab. This is a nice and clean ice cream parlor with flavors that change frequently. There are daily specials including $2.50 scoops on Tuesdays and $1 off sundaes on Fridays. Late hours, which I like about some of the more popular businesses in the area. Lines could be long, but they move along quickly. One area that I would critique is their use of plastic containers. With the popularity of this place and the number of desserts being served, unless customers are taking their desserts somewhere else and require lids, they should use more eco-friendly containers (just my opinion).

Why must this little ray of sunshine be a Debbie downer? When I think of Grandma, I right away think of elderly. When I think of elderly, I immediately think be nice! So why the three star rating for Grandma Pucci ? Let me explain ^_^ Once I discovered Andrews Ice Cream in Orange, it set the ice cream bar really high. After hearing my babes Kenzie K. aka The dessert queen aka my one of my favorite Yelpers rave about this place, I had to go try it out for myself. Menu: Lots and lots of different flavors! Flavors change based on popularity. A list of the most recent ice cream flavors: - Banana Pie - Mocha Oreo - Cookie Dough - Cookies and Cream - Black raspberry - Vanilla - Chocolate - Strawberry - Coffee chip - Chocolate brownie - Pina Colada - Peanut Butter - Yellow Cake Batter - Glazed and Confused - Salted Caramel - Orange Sherbert - Raspberry Sherbert - Margarita Ice - Graham Cracker Crunch Order: I'm one of those overly bubbly happy go lucky people so when I tried spreading my sunshine to the employee all I got in return was dark clouds and a half smile. Bahumbug! Not trying to kill anyone with kindness on this day, I went ahead and placed my order for a Chocolate chip cookie sandwich with a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough, coffee and smore. Was it the best? No. What about great? No, again. How about good? Yes, it was good. Grandma Pucci's ice cream is good BUT overated in my opinion. The ice cream is milky and flavorful but I wasn't impressed. To say the least, it was just medicore for me. Tip: Specials on days that end with a Y Monday- All Milkshakes $4.00 Tuesdays- All cones $4.00 Wednesdays- B1G1 cones, milkshakes and sundays from 3pm to 6pm Thursday- All quarts $7.00 Fridays- Smoothie of the day $3.00 Saturday- All day banana split $5.00 Sunday- Hot cookie craze Overall experience: Thanks but no Thanks. A thirty minute drive from the O.C is definitely not worth the drive. Needless to say, no Grandma Pucci's ice cream for me ever again.

My kids love coming here for ice cream. I especially live the banana graham. I just tried the Graham tonight. The ice cream here is not too sweet and not too heavy. I would hope that they also have an option for one scoop for adults (rather than two) for those of us that like small portions. Excellent service and samples are always given.

Highly upset today! Always been happy with ice cream quality and usually service. So my husband ordered three ice cream scoops with caramel in a cup.The guy proceeds to put all three scoops in what normally is a two scoop cup...ice cream won't fit and caramel and ice cream are oozing down the cup! So we asked the server if he could put it in a bigger cup. Which, btw, is how we have always had it. We were told NO, because the bigger cups are for sundaes only! WHAT?? Then.....I asked for a single scoop cone....NO! Can't do that either because that's only for kids under 8. Well, I can't eat two scoops of ice cream!!!! Omg!! REALLY?? What is it with all the rules???!!! So, if I asked for a single a scoop to go for my son then I would not get one because it's not allowed??!!! Seriously, this is ridiculous. I get that sales are important so I guess forcing people to either get two scoops or nothing at all is the answer? Needless to say, I did not get my cone. sale LOST! AND will think twice about coming back! And btw, there were no paper towels in men's restroom so my husband could not wipe off the sticky mess! EPIC FAIL! Got one star for taste ONLY!

The handmade ice cream is amazing and needs to be tried in any person's life time. What's best about Grandma Pucci's are the deals they have every day of the week. Mon- Sun they have a special for a particular flavor/ice cream type. Now you can try all the ice cream in different ways. They've got great flavors with terrific taste. They have fruit flavors, chocolate/vanilla flavors, and even combinations that are delicious. Some flavors are also dairy-free for those who might lactose intolerant. They do allow you to try the flavors before choosing, so take your time to find your favorite (except on Tuesdays, where scoops are discounted for all ice cream flavors). My favorite is banana graham cracker and cappuccino! I've tried the sweat tea ice and triple chocolate flavor which both all terrific. Inside the store, you are also able to see a room with a glass wall for you to look into where the ice cream-making process happens. It's not ice cream strangely treated with chemicals or ice cream pulled off from a carton or tub in the freezer; ITS FRESH. Hand-made ice cream for ice cream lovers!

We are back for the two scoops Tuesday special! The raised the price to $2.50 instead of $2 and the scoops are 2oz smaller BUT we are not complaining! I got black cherry (OMG so good!) with Graham Cracker crunch. The husband got chocolate and graham cracker. We will be back to try other flavors!!! This is our fav go to homemade ice cream place.

Salty Dog Ice Cream...the best ice cream in Chino Hills. Got to keep this one. Smooth taste, right amount of salt with yummy caramel ice cream.

My friends and I went because it was Tuesday and 2 scoops were $2.50. It was pretty empty. Because it was Tuesday we weren't allowed to try flavors but because nobody was there the worker let us. I ended up getting the banana graham and graham cracker crunch. I feel like the graham cracker crunch is now one of my favorite ice creams. It had like chunks in it which I enjoyed because it added more texture to my ice cream. The banana graham was good too but not as chunky but still has graham cracker incorporated into it. What made me give this place a 3 is that I found an eyelash in my ice cream. It wasn't a big deal but it did make me kind of upset. I would still go back I would say just for the graham cracker crunch. There is a lot of seating inside and outside. Also there is a different deal everyday.

I am not a ice cream person but I LOVE Grandma Puccis homemade ice cream !!! I have only been here on $2 two scoops Tuesdays and my favorite combination is orange sherbet and vanilla ice cream which is orange creamsicle :P You can spilt the two scoops into two separate cups for a a quarter but my kids can eat two scoops or more. My older son liked vanilla and strawberry until he tried my orange sherbet and he now wants the same combination as me. I get my younger son banana and vanilla since he loves banana flavored baby yogurt . Banana is a very mild flavor and has chunks of something I cannot make out with an amazing texture !!!

I live in Southern California so, like most SoCal residents, I don't need a reason to get ice cream. Heck, it can be cold as sleet or raining cats and dogs and we'll still drag our happy little buts in for some frozen treats. And that's how my visit at Grandma Pucci's started. I was in the Chino area and after having lunch decided it was time to reward myself. For what? *shrugs* I dunno...for me being awesome..who really cares?! I had this place bookmarked and wasn't too far away so I decided "why not?" And, yes, it was pouring down rain but I agree with The Criminologist from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"- I was not going to let a little rain spoil the events of the evening. I had a little trouble finding exactly where this place was actually situated at in the Spectrum Center (quite possibly due to the downpour), but I finally made it and I entered inside. This place is big and has tiled floor, a few tables, large counters and cold display cases, and some fairly bright colors. There are plenty of flavors to choose from and after a couple samples and some deliberation I went w/ a pint of GooseBumps (dark chocolate ice cream w/ peanut butter) and Grandma Rosie's Favorite (#2?) which was dark chocolate ice cream w/ raspberry swirls and white chocolate chips. While these flavors were great as samples, a whole pint of them was slightly lackluster. For starters, with both of them being made with dark chocolate ice cream, the whole thing just looked like a big squishy turd. There was hardly any raspberry swirls to speak of and the white chocolate chips seemed few and far between. The peanut butter ratio was a little better. However, the texture and taste of the ice cream was very good and did please my sweet tooth. I can't help but feel Grandma Pucci's tries to emulate another ice cream establishment that I love (see my reviews), but they tend to have more of a modern take on it. The service here during my visit was excellent and I would easily return when in the area to try some of their other expansive flavors. They run specials every day of the week so make sure to be on the lookout. ...and in case you were curious, there was more than a fair share of Southern California residents escaping the cold rainy weather for some cold tasty treats ;)

Grandma Pucci's advertises that it only has specials on the days of the week that end with a "Y". Fortunately for us, that means every day is a lucky day! Monday - $4 milkshakes. Tuesday - $2 for 2 scoops (cup/cone). Wednesday (3PM-6PM) - BOGO 50% off. Thursday - $7 quarts. Friday - $3 smoothie of the day. Saturday - $5 banana split. Sunday - Hot cookie sundae craze! I grew up with Thrifty ice cream, but even Thrifty ice cream doesn't compare to the homemade stuff. Whether it's ice cream or gelato that you decide to pick here since I can say that both are phenomenal in taste and consistency in their own respects, make sure that you take advantage of the specials! If you're in between flavors since they offer 50+ flavors daily, don't hesitate to ask for a taste before making a decision; the employees here gladly gave us as many as we wanted. The only downside is that their store is in a big and open space, but they only have a few tables on one end of the store and a few at the other which doesn't accommodate their crowds. As far as their cleanliness goes, their tables are always speckled with drips and smears.

Customer Service: Outstanding. Ice Cream: Decent Tables are sticky. The ambiance needs help, as does the decor.

An appropriate way to start this review would be to say "uh...wow.". Decided to try a new place today--what's not to love about handmade ice cream and shakes?! Not only do they have a ton of flavor options, but they can make those flavors into SHAKES. That's right. You read correctly. But see, the taste of the shakes is what really makes this place stand out. It is so creamy and delicious. Homemade, comfort style, hot summer day, churned at grandma's house good. Not to mention you get a lot for your money--the portions are huge. The regular size was a whopping 24 ounces. The large is 32 ounces! Needless to say, it's perfect for sharing. Aside from all that, the place is spotless. Very clean, neat, and organized. Slightly warm inside, but nothing unbearable. They had the cutest a photograph of Grandma Pucci on the wall with the first dollar the business ever made. My recommendation is to take a shot on this place; you won't be disappointed!

I love ice cream, especially homemade unique flavors that I can't just buy at rite aid. The flavors here are mind blowing! Banana pie, graham cracker, banana bread, pistachio, coconut gelato, mango gelato...I could go on. The best part is that the prices are relatively cheap for gourmet ice cream. You need to get a bite of this....get ready to sink your teeth into a cloud full of bursting flavors. You will be so glad you stepped into this ice cream store. I scream for ice cream....you ready?

Wasn't amazed. Maybe I should've tried something else, but I'd rather have Rite Aid.

The line is guaranteed to be out the door if you're visiting on a Tuesday, but don't worry, it moves really quickly! Their workers must have forearms of steel because I've never had to wait more than ten minutes, and I'm not the most patient person :p Their blueberry pie and graham cracker crunch really is something else. I'd highly recommend 'em if it's your first time.

OMG BEST ICE CREAM AND GELATO PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN TO!!! I'm literally shoveling ice cream and gelato into my mouth as I write this!! Hanna working here was a sweetheart. I told her it was my first time there and she explained everything to me. The ice creams are made fresh with new ingredients and fruit daily. They have: Ice cream Gelato Sorbet Non-diary I loved all the flavors I tried. Hanna said the most popular was banana, graham crackers, and blueberry pie. I also tried the mango gelato and I felt as though I heard angels in heaven sing as I savored my first bite. PLEASE treat yourself to this if you've been deprived!!

    - Locale Destination - It's on Grand Ave and Roswell Ave in Chino. I think it's in "Chino Spectrum" (big shopping center), across from Target. The shop is roomy, simple, in white with blue and orange, with 80s music, plenty of seating both inside and outs

Okay, so I have an ice cream maker that I don't think I'll be using anymore if I keep coming back here. There's just so much to choose from that it can get overwhelming if it's your first time but they're all really nice and friendly so it's easy just asking questions. My friend and I shared a sundae which just so happened to be their Friday Special which I believe was about $5 or so. The portions/scoops were HUGE and so it would take a really hungry person to finish it all by their lonesome. They had a long list of flavors available that day that but we chose their hot fudge brownie 3-scoop sundae with the following flavors: Coffee Almond Fudge: With my friend being a coffee addict and me...not so much, it was actually surprisingly pleasant. There was enough of the coffee flavor for her to appreciate and it wasn't so strong for me to dislike it. I thought it was really good and well-done. Gorillas in the Mist: When the lady helping us said it was a chocolate ice cream with mint marshmallows, I was sold! I guess the marshmallows were melted into the ice cream when they made this but it was one of the better chocolate/mint concoctions I've ever had. Bubble Gum: My favorite one out of the different ice cream flavors we had chosen. It didn't have that weird, syrup taste that came out of a bottle but it was just right. They did a very good job on this flavor and I would get this again. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back to try their other flavors...and I guess I'll be putting my ice cream maker back in its box. *hangs head in shame* Lol

My husband and I were in the mood for ice cream and found this place by accident. I couldn't decide on a flavor but they told me that a small = 2 scoops and you can mix & match! I had the German Chocolate Cake & Chocolate Graham and loved both! My husband had Banana Oreo & Black cherry--also very good. Friendly service, lots of seating and LOTS of interesting flavors to choose from! We'll definitely be back :)

Grandma Pucci's on Tuesday has become a ritual for us. I enjoy trying all the flavors but some of our favorites include Goosebumps ( dark chocolate w/peanut butter), butter pecan ( so creamy), caramel pretzel (salty and sweet), Girl Scout mint, and all of the ice's.

It was over 100 degrees so we decided to go to Grandma Pucchis to help cool us down. Everyone else had the same idea as the line was long. There were two separate lines but neither one was moving. It took a while to get to the front and by the time we made it, the worker looked exhausted and wasnt to friendly. It was our first time and suggestions would have been helpful but we felt rushed. We went ahead and ordered coffee, dulce de leche and chocolate chip cookie dough Both of us didnt pay attention until we got in the car but they gave us the wrong flavor. Instead of dulce de leche we were given smores. Not just decided to keep the ice cream. Grandma Puccis ice cream is sweet and creamy. It wasn't the best ice cream I've had and I don't believe it lives up to the hype. Three stars.

Oh my gut. Any place that has a minimum of 2 scoop ice cream is my kind of place!! Heard about this place through a friend so I decided to stop by after having brunch closeby. Might have to drive around a little to find this spot. It's in a large plaza, close to Target! Plenty of parking. Grandma Pucci's is larger than most ice cream shops. There is plenty of room and seating for all =) The guy helping us (they didn't have name tags) was really friendly. Sampled 3 flavors from one area and he told us all the other ones had all different flavors and we could try some of those too! Nice guy. Ended up with the 2 scoop ($4.27 after tax) of banana graham and salted butter caramel. THE BANANA GRAHAM !! As you can guess.. banana and graham crackers. I'm thinking about putting bananas every time I make smores now.. What a GREAT GREAT GREAT combo. Grandma is doing it right! During the LA Food Festival, ice cream lab had samples of some ice cream with pretzel pieces in it which reminded me of the salted butter caramel from Grandma Pucci's. It gets too sweet for me after a while but still delicious. Tried a sample of the blueberry pie and that was also REAL tasty. Will have to be on of my scoops the next time I'm here. Decently priced! They have deals EVERYDAY of the week. Stop by for a treat.

I've heard and seen the mostly rave reviews from friends and fellow yelpers and finally decided to take our 2 boys here tonight. We were not impressed with this place at all. First of all, when we walked in the place felt hot and muggy. I know today's weather was in the upper 90's, maybe a little A/C would help from the ice cream melting faster than it should. Or they just didn't want the customers to eat inside their store so many others were seated outside on the benches eating ice cream instead. Second, there was no order in line for service and people just walked up to the counter even if you're already waiting in line. Third, when we got to the cashier the girl helping us didn't look too pleased to be working there and when we ordered 1 scoop of cookies and cream and 1 scoop of strawberry the scoops were not even a full scoop, more like 1/2 scoops! Lastly, I was thinking that this better be good tasting ice cream but to us it tasted average. I think Deyers ice cream from the supermarket might even taste better. Both my boys didn't even finish their scoop or should I say 1/2 a scoop of ice cream. Sadly, I had higher hopes of this ice cream store but I guess we won't be coming back anytime soon.

Tried the banana split for the cheap price of $5.50. The ice cream was ok. Tried rocky road...but I didn't see any marshmallows in it and the ice cream was ehhh ok. Strawberry ice cream tastes like yogurt flavored strawberry. I think I will stick to Cold Stone's ice cream for now.

Grandma is on deck with the work! Work! Work! Work! Work! Now if you know what the "work" is then you must be at least 50% hood or have a drug problem. Chino Hills is not usually where you would stop by for ice cream, but after seeing Grandma's get so much heart from my Yelp colleagues I knew I had too. 1. Location is terrible 2. Service is A 1 3. Variety is abundant 4. Quality speaks for itself You could probably spend a good portion of your adult life trying to decide what you want. Combinations are endless. Flavors for days. I tried a whole lotta thangs, but it came down to the chocolate orange cream. Wow. Amazing. First time I've come across a place that has effectively captured the taste. If you know about chocolate oranges then you must have had a Terrys chocolate orange. They're bomb. Texture of the ice cream = crushed velvet. Rich. Perfectly balanced orange finish. So damn good. Note: they will create any flavor you can think of. As long you bring the ingredients. This is awesome. Be on the lookout for my creation!

Yelp Challenge 2014 #58 Somewhere hidden on someone's profile page had this as his/her most recent discovery. And knowing that it's the elite of a yelper elite, this was a must try! They have deals, but only on days that end with a "y", the most important coming on a Tuesday, where 2 scoops are $2! They open at noon, and apparently the line is really long on those days. Today, however, it was in the middle. The workers worked quickly and rigorously to make sure we got what we wanted. I had a chocolate brownie and coffee almond fudge (but chocolate brownie won because it was richer and deeper), while the CAF was less tasteful but still good in its own case. And samples. you can get as many samples as you can (but not on Tuesday). Come on in, Grandma Pucci has got you covered, especially in the summer! :) EDIT: Cones are 50 cents extra on Tuesdays now [I unfortunately found out last week sigh]. But they still have amazing flavors that y'all need to try out and eat everyday :D

I LOVE ice cream and could not wait to finally make it out to Chino to give them a try. Monday afternoon I was in the area, it was hot and refreshment needed. Plenty of parking out front, the shop much bigger than i thought. Greeat timing, we were the only ones in the store, though some trickled in after us. They have different specials every day which are really worth watching out for. My husband went with Monday's special, 4 scoop milkshake $4 He had smores, chocolate brownie, chocolate peanut butter and something with cinnamon and white chocolate. I had a scoop of blueberry pie, AMAZING! The ribbons of real blueberry, the huge pie chunks, its everything! I had a few samples and loved them all, you taste, see and feel the love here, one of my new favorite spots to get ice cream, I cannot wait to be back!

Their $2.50 Tuesdays are what make Tuesdays bearable (but beware, they don't let you sample anything on Tuesdays). They also have specials for every other day of the week. I've been here a few times now, and each time, I've been really pleased with what I've gotten. The ice cream is unbeatable - it's rich and creamy and better than Coldstone, dare I say. There are a bunch of flavors to choose from, and the workers are friendly and patient if you take some time to decide what you want, like I do. My only complaint is that sometimes they advertise flavors that are not on the menu. The times that I've been, I've really wanted cake batter but they haven't had it. Also, it would easily be a five star place if they had toppings or mix-ins.

I come from a family of long time ice cream eaters. But more importantly, we were homemade ice cream makers. You know, the hand cranked bucket surrounded by chipped ice and rock salt. Many a 4th of July celebration included my Grandma's famous custardy vanilla and pineapple sherbet recipes. Some things should be revered. Amen. Seeing the name, Grandma Pucci's, not to mention the rave reviews, found me getting intensely nostalgic. I am happy to say, this place is the real deal and has a great family draw. First of all, this is a great location with a spacious interior to accommodate the large lines which it surely has on hot days, both indoor and outdoor patio seating, and surrounded on two sides with a large parking lot that is not shared with any other high volume businesses. That alone is a huge bonus. And, this place has clean public restrooms, another super bonus. One great feature is the giant indoor picture window for watching them make their ice cream. Yeah, it's not exactly hand cranked, but still has to be fascinating for the kids and adults alike. Almost like going to a candy factory. There are interesting flavors galore, and the tastings we had were all wonderful. I am not a fan of banana flavored anything , because most taste so artificial. But this time, I was particularly impressed with the banana graham. It tasted genuine. It was too bad I ultimately got lured in another direction. I will have to devote another visit to that flavor. Gladly! Our choices ended up to be the Butter Pecan, a wonderfully creamy, rich base that was obscenely littered with tons of roasted whole pecans. I loved that it was not sicky sweet. The Coffee Almond Fudge was the other choice. This is one of the best coffee ice creams I have ever tasted, with a dark, strong coffee flavor. But the other primary ingredient, almonds, were mostly AWOL. I think they may have been finely chopped and coated with chocolate, but there were not a lot of them. I think I may have gotten the bottom of the barrel, so I hope the next time will be a better mix. Loved this no gimmick ice cream parlor. It is an easy access off the Hwy 71, and well worth a stop. Maybe even a destination? I dare to say, it can easily give Handel's Ice Cream in Upland a run for their money.

A offshoot of 'Handles', Grandma Puccis keeps the Ohio Ice Cream tradition alive and well. Unlike Handles in Upland, Grandma Pucci's is larger and has plenty of room to sit inside and out. Many good variety's to choose from with very friendly service and great bang for buck. Forget Coldstone, 31 Flavors, go here instead and you will not be disappointed. Get the 5 scoop sampler. Heaven :)

Contrary to my diet's explicit instructions to stay away from sweets, dairy and all things delicious, I still ventured into Grandma Pucci's for a treat with my daughter. We had the opportunity to speak to the owner who filled me on on his vision and upcoming plans for this booming little ice creamery. They truly are passionate about what they do here. There are some excting things looming around the corner for Grandpa Pucci's! I was supposed to get a different flavor this visit, but I somehow ended up with blueberry pie again. It's that good. I also tried a bit of their coffee almond something and it's definitely a must for coffee lovers -- perfect blend of bitter and sweet. Either way, I think Grandma Pucci's has learned the best way to tug at my heart strings and make me a fan for the long haul. Keep it up!!

I've been here many times. Every other time would have been 5+ stars. Today, however was sub par. First off, it's a holiday (Memorial Day) so of course it will be busier than usual for a normal Monday. However, there are only 2 people working!? When we walked in both gals were helping other customers so we took our time to pick our flavors. Another group of customers walked in, yet even though there was now a line, one of the employees decided it was time to clean the back. So the other girl was now left to handle a growing number of waiting customers. Since there is no defined line here, she took people that walked in after us first. When it was our turn we felt like we were bothering her, but whatever, I can play that game too. Thank God the ice cream is good...if it were like this every time we would go down the block to Baskin Robbins.

Dude!!!! This is the best ice cream ever....I mean seriously...this stuff must have crack in it. This is my 1st visit here and it surely won't be my last. They have great flavors and the quality is top notch. They aren't skimping on the ingredients here. They allow you to sample their product as well. The only con is that sometimes the ice cream isn't always mixed through so you don't get all the flavors...like I ordered the PB chocolate brownie and although it was delicious I didn't get my taste of peanut butter...I was bummed...nevertheless it won't stop me from coming back. This place is worth it! 'Y daughter was drinking the melted ice cream. She even said this place was better then her beloved yogurtland and she LOVES that place. Thanks for a great experience

We always get the banana split and we love it! The serving is generous, unlike Handel's. Very flavorful and not too sweet. Plenty of parking. Also has outside seating.

Fresh, homemade ice cream. Yum!! I'm such a sucker for ice cream, and this place hits the spot! The regular size is a pretty good portion. I've tried the Graham Cracker Crunch and Banana Graham per recommendation, and it was AMAZING! I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors.

  • Kenzie K.

$2 Tuesdays!! Chino. *SHORT AND SWEET* Kenzie Happy!!! 5 stars!!! Tons of flavors to choose and free samples of ice cream, generous, but NO samples on Tuesdays. They let me sample only because I came when it opened so no one was there yet and it was grand opening. MUST MUST GO HERE!! DQ WAS HAPPY!!! The banana flavored ice cream was YUMMY! But they all were yummy. Difficult to choose which one to get. ~ Black Cherry and the Banana Graham was GOOD. See photo, and vote (helpful)! Note: These are flavors of the day but not limited to.. ~ Homemade Banana Pie ~ Banana Graham ~ Black Cherry ~ Black Raspberry ~ Butter Pecan ~ Chocolate ~ Chocolate Chip ~ Cookie Dough ~ Cookies n Cream ~ Blueberry Pie ~ Mint Chip ~ Goosebumps ~ Grandma Rosie's Favorite ~ Mocha Oreo Fudge ~ Vanilla Yogurt ~ Chocolate Yogurt ~ Strawberry Yogurt ~ Orange Sherbet ~ Cotton Candy ~ Butterfinger ~ Glazed and Confused ~ Strawberry ~ Vanilla ~ Chocolate Brownie ~ Raspberry Sherbet ~ Pralines and Cream ~ Pina Colada Sherbet ~ Coffee Chip ~ Peanut Butter Fudge Rippie ~ Margarita Ice (no dairy) ~ Mango Gelato ~ Vanilla Gelato ~ Banana Gelato ~ Salted Butter Caramel (so good)!! 2 scoops is $3.95 NO TAX. You can choose it in a cup or waffle cone which is NOT an extra fee. They also make banana splits and sundaes. Birthday cakes are done here as well for $40. I might wanna try that! ;D Note: They switch out a few flavors every day. Salted Butter Caramel has chocolate covered pretzels!! TDF!!! TIP: Five Sampler for $6.50 is the best deal! You get five scoops if you don't mind sharing. (Sorry, I don't share desserts). Opens at 11am, closes at 10pm. Weekends close at 11pm. Sundays at 9pm. I'm definitely coming back here on a Tuesday for $2/2scoops! Check out their daily specials!! Mondays, all milkshakes for $4!! Thanks for reading! ~*kenzie*~

Ok, so I only come here on tues, which is their 2 scoops for $2 since I'm a cheap-ass. They do not give samples on tues but on other days, it's fine. This time, I got Goosebumps (which is a chocolate with walnuts) and strawberry yogurt. The yogurt was ok, nothing memorable about it but I liked the goosebumps way more, it was richer on my tongue and had a nice texture to it. The only thing is that their lack of a line control issue. Sometimes, it's who talks louder than the other customer moment. They take card here, plenty of parking too. But not a lot of seating inside.

I'm all about these home made ice cream places! Went in on a Saturday night and there was no line, lots of space, and delicious home made ice cream waiting for me! I ordered the waffle bowl sundae with a scoop of banana graham cracker, blueberry pie and pecans and praline. I didn't know there were more flavors (like the dark chocolate mint ) on the other side of the register. Either way I was happy with my three flavors and for me blueberry pie was a wild card flavor but it was soooo good! I agree everyone should try the banana graham. Funny enough, they ran out of bananas and had to go buy some at Target, but the wait wasn't too long for that either. Way to think on your toes young ladies that worked last Saturday night. It's hard to find smart, polite, teenagers so kudos to Grandma Puccis. We also found this place by accident after missing the freeway that would've taken us to Handel's Home made ice cream, but that's ok cause this was just as good!

My mom loves this place! For starters they have HUGEEEEEE variety of ice creams to chose from. Like too much to handle HUGE. They also have deals like every day of the week which is super awesome. And plenty of parking and space to eat in and out of the shop. The portions are huge and one single = two scoops which also means two flavors!! I LOVE ALL ICE CREAM PLACES THAT DO THIS. I got the banana and blueberry flavored ice cream and it was so good! Perfect amount of creaminess and you can really tell that they know how to make their ice cream! Can't wait to go here again! Also this place is also better than after's ice cream in the spectrum which is close by because the ice cream here is not overly sweet. And if you also wanna skip the big line that they always have there definitely come here! You won't regret it!

  • Anthony C.

I'm not sure how to pronounce the name of this place... Is it Puc ci ? like Gucci? Or Pu cci ? Like Pussy Cat? The ice cream here is made in store, but it nothing terribly special in my opinion. You get large chunks of whatever type of flavor it is. I did like their chocolate/peanut butter though, but it's not artisan ice cream like a Mother Moo's/Salt and Straw/ BiRite/ etc.

So glad they opened up a good ice cream joint nearby. I don't have to drive all the way to Handel's to get quality ice cream (unless of course I'm out in that area). Food: I am LOVING the Banana Graham! It's their best selling flavor and there's a reason why for it. I've tried other flavors along with it and to be honest nothing else meets the standards that their Banana Graham sets. I love that they have an impressive variety of items, not just ice cream. They also offer gelato but I haven't had a chance to try it. Ambiance: It's a pretty big shop, but it's a bit confusing especially since the counter is so large there's no designated area to start so usually the lines tend to be spread out all over (not a good thing on a Tuesday when there's so many people and customers get feisty over line cuts). The decor itself is quirky and colorful, a little too colorful sometimes. Service: Great service! The staff is quirky and helpful. I was reminded by one of them that a regular size was two scoops so if I wanted to try other flavors I could mix and match. Thanks for the tip! Tips: $2 Tuesdays are a good deal, but it may not be worth the headache. It can get pretty busy, so go early to avoid the long and confusing lines. Also, I noticed that because they constantly open the freezers it affects the ice cream and it seems more melted than a regular day. I absolutely enjoyed the ice cream. I would definitely come back again...and again.

Ice cream is among the basic necessities of life, I think. If not, it should be especially if it is home made. Enter grandma Puccis Homemade ice cream. We had the banana graham, black cherry, salted caramel, and strawberry. All we're amazing! But, by far my favorite was the banana graham. Of course, we couldn't leave good enough alone. So, we came back the next day. Naturally. This time we tried the chocolate brownies and crazy chocolate chunk, vanilla, and graham cracker crunch. Yum! This time I thought the crazy chocolate chunk was the best. If you like chocolate and need a fix, go for that one! Overall, great ice cream, friendly staff, wide and spacious location and a great addition to the city!

$2 for 2 scoops on Tuesdays! Came here for my first time and tried the banana graham and it was delicious! Never thought I'd like a banana flavored ice cream.. It gets pretty busy on Tuesdays so be patient with the long line and kids running around :p

  • Victoria P.

Their banana graham is one of their most popular items, and I can see why. It actually tasted like bananas and went really well with the crunchy Graham cracker pieces. Reminds me of a banana cream pie in ice cream form. The other flavor I got was the black cherry, and that was good also. Large pieces of cherry. There were so many flavors to choose from, and it took me a while. But after sampling a couple flavors and getting recommendations from the worker, I was satisfied with my choices. Their smallest size was two scoops! So watch out for the portions. It was a little more ice cream than I was ready for, so share if you're gonna get sick from eating too much. They also have specials for the days of the week, and being a Saturday that I went, they offered $5 banana splits.

If you like coffee, you're going to like coffee almond fudge. Little bits of chocolate covered almonds and strong coffee flavor make this heavenly. Pistachio ice cream is delicious.

This has got to be the best Ice Cream around Chino Hills (After's is hip, but the ice cream itself is far too inconsistent--ice chunks?!) so I definitely prefer this place. Flavors are nice, but some of them might need an explanation. (Goosebumps is chocolate peanut butter, if you're wonder where that is on the menu.) Flavors are true to life, and the ice cream is well blended. Staff is friendly. Also, recently prices have increased. $2 Two-Scoop Tuesdays are now $2.50

Service is good...selection is plentiful...ambience is okay...i was told that all ice cream are made in house every morning...flavors tastes good, every item i tried was delicious and we came here after dinner so we are quite full, even then we find the ice cream we had really delicious...

Oh man!! Our usual ice cream spot in Rancho has some competition! I've had this place bookmarked for some time and tonight was my lucky night. Hubs asked if I was in the mood for dessert after having pho for dinner. I didn't do my Yelp research enough (like I usually do) and was overwhelmed with all the flavors I wanted to try but I knew I had to limit myself. The girl at the counter wasn't rude but wasn't that friendly either. I think she was a little annoyed on my indecisiveness. I ended up ordering a double scoop of banana graham on a waffle cone and a 5 scoop sampler : blueberry , strawberry, vanilla, rocky road, and s'mores. We thought the almonds in the rocky road were a tad salty. Other than that, all flavors were delicious! With the weather heating up lately I'm sure we will be back soon. I'll be sure to be more prepared on what other flavors I'm going to try next.

  • Priscilla L.

OMG this place is good. Just beware that it gets packed especially on their sale days. And I'm sure when summer is just around the corner it will even be more packed. This place has a lot of flavors for being homemade. The portion sizes are good too. The place is nice and clean very simple décor, not fancy. Its a wonderful place to just have ice cream. The place isn't expensive at all for an ice cream shop compare to the fancy places like Sprinkles out in LA. If you are in the area you should come give this place a try.

  • Fabian M.

I love coming here! The ice cream made here is homemade and tastes amazing, every time I have ever gone here I am always getting the best service, my personal favorite ice cream is the blueberry pie, my only gripe is a about this place is the associate Nick, when he "helped" me, he was pretty short with me and just seemed like he didn't want to help anyone, even the people that he took care of before me noticed his behavior. Everyone else besides him is great. This place has the best ice cream in chino hills!

  • Lizzie D.

So, I've wanted to try this place for so long and I had finally got the opprotunity and I was greatly disappointed, the service was horrible and the ice cream wasn't that great. I think the worst of it all was the prices, absolutely ridiculous.

I wanted to grab some dessert after Pieology, and it just so happened that goggle map told me that I was in the same area as it. Took me awhile to find it. It's pretty much in between Pieology and Target. The ice cream place is big! The ambiance kinda reminded me of Frostbite. I went on a Tuesday because Grandma Puccis has a bunch of specials each day that ends with a Y. (which is everyday) On tuesday, they're normal two scoop ice cream is $2. Unfortunately, when I went they had already changed their prices to $2.50 instead of $2. Which was also confusing because they still had old menus up that still say $2. I didn't want to fight over .50 but they should be aware that they still have the old prices up. Came in to try their most popular flavor, the banana grahams. Before wanting to commit to a whole scoop of it, I asked to try some. I guess this ice cream place does not offer testers. Which is very unfortunate, therefore, I bumped them down a star. The service was friendly but the two employees that were working had a lot of side conversations going on while I was trying to ask questions. I felt a bit uncomfortable with them talking to each other about something, I'm not even sure if it was related to me or not. I was hoping more attention since I was the only customer there and it was my first time. When I asked for a sample, they even sounded iffy about it. So I wasn't sure if it was okay or not. For the uncomfortable vibe I was getting and the unprofessional service, I bumped them down another star. I did love the flavors of the ice cream that they had. I didn't want to risk getting the banana grahams so I got my usual favorite flavors, pistachio and black cherry. The ice cream was very smooth and delicious. I enjoyed the ice cream. I would recommend going, I hope for the rest of you, you'd have a better experience than I did.

  • Robert M.

Ice cream was nice and creamy. The scoops are kind of small and a little pricey at $4.50 for two scoops. I still think Handel's is better, but when I can't go to Upland I'll go to Grandma Pucci's.

    (4)
  • Purvi S.

The ice cream tastes amazing! Very creamy and every flavor is delicious! My favorite is the graham cracker crunch. Birthday cake and pralines and cream are also great. This place is overpriced everyday but tuesday. I only go for $2.50 Tuesday's because that seems like a fair price for two scoops.

Best ice cream.. So delicious! I had strawberry. It was so creamy and just the right amount of sweet. I got it in a waffle cone. The waffle cone was so crisp and fresh. The service was great. Not a long wait at all even though the place was crowded. I will return.

I wish my grandmother made delicious homemade ice cream. With over 50 flavors available daily, Grandma Pucci has some sick tastes. I like Grandma's Homemade Banana Cream Pie and Coffee Almond Fudge. Don't let the regular small size fool you. That's 2 regular scoops. I prefer getting the ice cream in a cup and then topping that with a waffle cone. The best of both worlds, you dig? SPECIALS ON DAYS THAT END IN Y - Monday (all milkshakes are $4) - Tuesday (all day $2 cones & specials) - Wednesday (BOGO 1/2 off on cones, sundaes, milkshakes from 3pm to 6pm) - Thursday (all quarts are $7) - Friday (smoothie of the day is $3) - Saturday (all day $5 banana split) - Sunday (hot cookie sundae craze) Their venue is clean and the workers are friendly. Not to mention the fact that they'll provide you with FREE samples (except Tuesdays) before you execute Order 66 and make that decision to turn to the dark side. My bad, wrong story. But, you know what I mean. Check out the website and study their inventory. ( grandmapuccis.com ) THE DESSERT QUEEN Some of you know her as Kenzie K. and she loves desserts. I think she pumps ice cream everyday into her body thru an IV in her arm. Kenzie is an expert on this kind of stuff and this ice cream parlor is her current YELP crush. Doesn't that say enough?

Grandma Pucci has the best ice cream ever! Better than Handels and definitely 31 times better than Baskin Robbins. Homemade creamy ice cream and you can taste the quality in the Ingredients. The cake batter ice cream literally tastes like buttery vanilla batter. I also tried the banana graham ice cream and it tastes just like banana pudding my granny would make with vanilla wafers. The blueberry cheesecake is amazing! Each flavor I have tried never disappoints. Great place to take your family for a special treat.

I saw this place while shopping at Target with the outside reading "homemade ice cream" Wow! Some of the best ice cream & service I've ever had. Their regular is 2 scoops which is plenty because this ice cream is RICH! On Tuesdays they have a special ice cream for $2. Can't beat that! When you go in the floors blue and orange and it'a a nice open space. The decor is quirky and you can see them making the ice cream (i assume, since nothing was happening when i went at night). The whole place is quirky down to the orange kitchen aid mixer. The menu is displayed on 3 flat screens above the ice cream & gelato cases. I highly recommend this place for the amazing ice cream & excellent service

  • Jenny Y.

Quality of the ice cream was really good... texture and creaminess were on point. However, i thought they were tad bit too sweet for me. I had the banana graham as well as the dark chocolate with raspberry (forgot what the actual names were). They were both really good for the first few bites but your mouth starts needing water after that. I'm obsess with ice cream and I want (and can) ice cream that I can finish a whole gallon of in one sitting. If they were a tad bit less sweet I'll definitely rate this place a 4 or even a 5. People working there were also friendly and great!

Be still, my beating heart, lest I pass out from excitement prior to passing thorough the threshold of Grandma Puccis! As I have often been known to do, I came to eat my own words when initially passing judgement on something I knew nothing about. The first time I laid eyes on this glorious wonder, I scoffed at the long lines. Sure, it was Mother's Day and taking mom out for some ice cream seemed like a sweet thing to do, but how could the ice cream here justify the line wrapping through the store and out the door? It's just ice cream, I told myself. I love ice cream, but not THAT much. Or so I naively declared, not realizing I was already on a path to total waistline destruction. 12 hours it has been since my last taste of cold creamy bliss, and I'm already feening for more. It was truly love at first bite. My initial encounter was on an unremarkable summer day. I walked in with my friend, we scoured the menu as we patiently awaited our turn to order. I wish I could tell you the name of the helpful girl working the counter, or how the establishment looked. But once the first sample hit my tongue, everything else melted away. There was nothing else in the world but me and my ice cream. It was truly that good. My first purchase was butter pecan and black cherry. The butter pecan was so incredibly indulgent, rich and creamy and nutty and divinely buttery. Truly, the best I have ever had. The black cherry, though, was a life changer. It is my addiction, the flavor I cannot go to Granda's and walk out without. Plentiful chunks of plump cherries floating in the most perfect cherry ice cream known to man. That ice cream makes me feel NC17, if you know what I mean. Since my first taste of this creamy crack, I have become a repeat offender. I rush through dinners, skip out on shopping, go out of my way to go to the gas station nearby, just to have an excuse to frequent Granda's far more than is socially acceptable. I've even justified coming here for the coffee almond ice cream as "going for coffee". Gorillaz in the mist can make any bad day better. Don't even get me started on how the cotton candy ice cream makes me feel like a kid, or the pistachio can make all your worries melt away. It is not just ice cream, it is bliss in a sugar cone. Even if this place wasn't pristinely clean every time I visit, and worked by staff that is cheery even as you run through the doors 5 minutes till closing, I'd love it. But fortunately this place is spotless and friendly and everything you'd want from your go-to happy place. Thank you, Grandma Puccis, for providing me with cold creamy happiness the way only a Grandma could.

DELICIOUS, CREAMY ICE CREAM!! However, I knocked off a star because the girl that was "assisting" me looked as if she wanted to die. She had a poker face on the entire time, not friendly. Made my first experience there very uncomfortable. But the ice cream was yummy!!! I had the pretzel ice cream and the pralines n'cream. But the pretzel ice cream needed MORE pretzel pieces, I had maybe like 3 little pieces. - _- I will be back!

Came with my family on memorial day to enjoy some shakes since they have milk shake Mondays special for $4. There was a long line when we arrived which was a good sign. We waited quite a while to be helped. We ordered 6 milkshakes and realized it was a big mistake because not only did it take forever for them to make 1 shake but we were holding up the line as they had to make 6. Almost 20 minutes later and 4 shakes in we were over the whole Grandma Pucci experience and just cancelled the rest of the order. I understand the employees are busy and overwhelmed but the really need to get some additional staff to avoid this. Two of my sisters didn't get their shakes so it kind of ruined it for everyone. The shakes themselves were huge and very good. I got a strawberry cheesecake shake and it was great. They have a great product just very lengthy process of serving anything. Would maybe come again in the future if in the mood for ice cream and plenty of time on my hands.

Awesome ice cream shop in Chino right off Grand Ave and the 71 Fwy. This place has TONS of fresh homemade ice cream flavors that change every time I visit. Each time I have come here there is a small line waiting to get some of the goodness, however the wait time is short and is definitely worth it. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. You can sample any of the interesting flavors they are offering that day. STOP thinking about checking out this place and get over here ASAP. They are open till 11:00pm on Fri and Sat nights. I finally have a place to get my Chocolate Shake fix !!!! WooHoo ;-) My only recommendation is to add a few more tables on the inside for the busy times.

I'm not sure how crowded it gets on the weekends but I came here on a Tuesday night and there was a very short line. Service: The staff is really friendly. They let you try out samples as well. Price: Pretty cheap, around $4 for a good size. Taste: Delicious. I prefer Ice cream over Frozen Yogurt any day.

Ice cream that is pure, sweet, and cold yumminess!! You feel me? These are all the flavors you're expecting but you're getting them better than expected. You can actually taste the creamy marshmallows in the amazing s'mores flavor and a slight crunch in the banana graham ice cream. I seriously crave it. It's very rich flavors, but I prefer the sweet and dense desserts. I sampled other flavors like coffee and pistachio and everything I tried I liked. The gelato didn't impress me as much. You're getting a handcrafted treat that keeps you coming back for more. Don't let the portions fool you. The regular small size is two scoops!! I like to switch it up between cone and bowl. The cones actually tasted fresh. They have daily deals depending on what day of the week it is. Apparently on Tuesdays its a madhouse since its only 2 bucks. The employees behind the counter are extremely friendly and accommodating. They didn't seem to mind all the different flavors we sampled and made great suggestions. The space is huge, inviting, bright and airy. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well. Kudos to this delicious delicious ice cream.

Wow what more can I add. I finally got to try this ice cream while visiting my mom in Chino Hills. Thankfully it was not really busy I brought my baby niece and nephew as a treat. First off the 2 scoops for $2.50 is a great deal! My nephew got a cookies and cream milkshake he was in love. The only thing I didn't like it was my first time here and I wanted to sample just 1 of the banana ice cream to make up my mind they said no samples Tuesday. That was more the girl helping because after I gave them a tip she was so nice. So yeah amazing ice cream with different flavors and decent deals, but customer service can be improved in. We tried graham banana cookies and cream watermelon pistachio strawberry cheesecake and pj yes this one was really good!

Grandma Pucci's is the best! It puts all other ice cream to shame. This is one Yelp recomendation I'm glad I checked out. The service is always great. Banana Graham and Back Cherry are personal favorites.

I come here with my kids all the time. The assortment of flavors is large and the quality is excellent. They have a different special everyday. The milk shakes are large and has 4 scoops of ice cream. The banana split has 3 scoops. Personal favorite is banana gram and blueberry pie. My kids love cotton candy. My goal is to eventually try everything!

Been here once, on a random day, (saturday? It was half a year ago XD ) I don't remember. Would come back, been trying to for tuesday LOL. Uhh got a cookie sandwich - snicker-doodle for one side and pumpkin for the other and I don't remember the ice cream flavor. Ice cream was great, cookies were passable.

I absolutely loves this place! Came shopping near by and noticed this gem. It is really a hidden gem in chino hills. All of the ice cream is homemade and so yummy! I tried the pumpkin cheesecake and caramel pretzel (to die for). I also had the pralines and cream as well as the banana graham. Two scoops is a regular serving so you can get different flavors if you wish. The staff was so friendly! We told the girl it was our first time there and she explained all the deals and sizes etc. Super sweet! We got to try some samples before ordering. If you love ice cream you will love this place!!!! If you want the most bank for you buck, then go on a Tuesday. They have $2 cones which comes with two scoops!!!!!! I will now have a new Tuesday routine hehe.

Love ice cream? This is place is for you! I have eaten only 3 flavors and I can tell that each is truly handmade and was taken time on. They even have sugar free ice cream for my grandparents that can't really have too much sugar! They have specific flavors to meet your standards. If you go make sure to try the Graham Cracker flavor! It's the best combination on crunch and the sweetness of the ice cream! Any flavor will be perfect on a hot day. They have friendly workers that meet to your desires! Around the store, there are stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, or Target so you can have delicious ice cream well walking around. They have a clean environment with the feel of grandmas house! They also have milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches, and lots more awaiting for you!

Hello, Grandma Pucci! In a corner of the plaza, you'll only really see the words "HOMEMADE ICE CREAM" because the Grandma Pucci logo is so tiny. Um. I'm glad I came to try this place out. Amazing! Two scoops of ice cream on a waffle cone and you're good. They have a lot of selection and I love how they show you their machines and when they're working with a huge glass case wall. This place can get pretty busy so you know it's good. Plus the employees were friendly, patient, and handled the line really well. I only wish I could come on a Tuesday! That's the day to come :) I tried strawberry cheesecake and chocolate brownie. Let me start with the strawberry cheesecake. It was creamy and I could really taste the cheesecake flavor. Awesome. The chocolate brownie. Ahhhh. It had brownie chunks inside which were sooo good and chewy. Yum. I'll be back! ^_^

LOVE THIS PLACE! Grandma Pucci's is my ice cream heaven. I've been eyeing it for weeks and finally got the chance to pop in and get some tasting on. I came on a Saturday night and their special that day is a $5 sundae. So, my husband and I decided to jump on that with banana graham, smores, and butter pecan. The sundae came with sliced bananas and our choice of 3 toppings. Every flavor was delicious. My husband loved banana graham so much that we came back the following day to buy a gallon of it. Pricey! But little did we know, that we actually meant to buy a half gallon. Now I feel like we have a year supply of it... What else is great about Grandma Pucci's? Their ice creams are freshly made and they also have gelato. They have sufficient tables for customers to enjoy their ice cream indoors, and a few benches and tables outside, too! They can also try to make a customo flavor for you (minimum one gallon) within 48 hours of your order. The best part? This is the most affordable ice cream shop I know of. Their "regular" size cup/cone comes with TWO scoops for $3.75. On Tuesdays, it's only $2.

I came in at 9pm TODAY and was second in line when only 1 register was open. Not a problem I get on a Friday night there could be a line. Then the African American girl (not playing the race card I'm just pointing out who said it because I do not know her name, no name tags) told us to just go to any of the 3 register. I did. But there was only TWO people working the registers and the third was a runner. Fine. But don't tell us to go to a different line if it isn't open. We stood there for about 5 mins and NO ONE helped us or even told us they would be right with us. Now we lost our spot in line and waiting at the only closed register. I spoke up about how unacceptable this is and no one even addressed my issues and kept serving other people. I'm not trying to be difficult but none of these people should be working in customer service. Also one girl was in sweatpants, how is that okay for food services? WILL NOT be returning.

  • Gello A.

I don't know how new this place is but the kids working behind the counter didn't know much about what they were selling. I came to this place for gelato but they only had a small selection and the worker didn't even know the names of the flavors. I strongly recommend putting lables to each flavor to save time. Other than that, the price is reasonable.

I'm sorry, the speed of service, process, and bathrooms are so bad, good ice cream can't make up for it! Small scoops, terrible Groupon offer, will not go back. I own a franchise restaurant and grandma Pucci'S is NOT ready to franchise. They have a ton of work on presentation, process and people to tackle before anyone should consider going into this business.

I love this place. The strawberry flavor is so good I can't even. The blueberry pie flavor is also really good-there's even pie crust and everything inside. Mint chocolate chip is perfect. You just can't go wrong with anything. The employee working the 3pm shift was extremely helpful and patient. Even when I couldn't decide on which 2 scoops I wanted and pretty much sampled every flavor, he was happy to help and enthusiastic too! Lol and now I know what flavors to pick when I come on a Tuesday!

  • Lauren L.

No complaints. 5 stars. Ok maybe a suggestion is a stamp card cuz we will have it filled real soon. Happy hour, deals, I m screaming literally for ice cream!!! And now I know what that means. U will love the flavors and creaminess and friendliness if this place. Line starts at each register so it is shorter and faster to get your cup or cone of happiness. Two huge scoops for two dollars. Can I hear a what what?!? On weds happy hour continues but Kids scoop ($2) doesn't count in happy hour price so just go big. Kick your diet out the door. Flavors change often base on selling popularity. No more lemon for now and green tea mochi was gone in three hours. Sob sob. After school crowd packing up here. Now that is the bad part since there's not enough seats and too much "oh my gawsh!!!! Or noooooo-aaa" Let me take a selfie. I just wanna enjoy my ice cream. Quiet please. Next scoop.

I can't say enough about Grandma Pucci's Ice Cream. It's honestly THE BEST ice cream my husband and I have ever had. We love coming here on Tuesdays for the $2.50 special- 2 big scoops of whatever kind of ice cream (or gelato) you want. But also, be warned that because of the lines, you can't try samples on Tuesdays. In life I have 2 vices- a killer purse and ice cream and believe me- I KNOW ice cream. It's always smooth and creamy and you won't find many of their specially made flavors anywhere else. The owner, Jon is such a nice guy and the workers always greet us as if we were long time friends. I love this place and can't say enough good things about it. You gotta give it a try!

Went here last week with a group of friends. And I love their daily specials. Sunday's special was a cookie with three scoops of any ice cream. And it was only five bucks! I love their blueberry pie and graham cracker crunch.

I've been looking all over for a homemade ice cream place as my family are HUGE ice cream lovers... Come across Grandma Pucci's and decided to bring the entry family (all 10 of us) to give it a try! First off the decor is very bright which I believe is great for a ice cream shop. I love the blue & orange together it's very inviting! The shop was very clean and very well organized and they were staffed enough to handle my group along with all the other groups that showed up behind us. Now off to the ICE CREAM! WOW!! The ice cream was so delicious and fresh it's NOTHING like Cold Stone or Baskin Robbins! I had the Banana Graham which was so rich with flavors and had chunks of graham crackers inside. I also had Yellow Cake Bater! It completely reminded me of my childhood where my mother would give me the spoon that had the remaining Bater all over it! Simply delicious! We got to speak with the owner who was all around very friendly and took the time to speak with his customers! He even let us try Pineapple Coconut right out of the machine! I'm not a huge coconut fan but the ice cream was delicious! Other flavors my family had included: Strawberry Cheesecake Goosebumps Cookies & Cream Yellow Cake Bater Banana Graham Chocolate Malt Shake Overall Experience was GREAT! I can't wait to come back and try all the other flavors! If I could give them any pointers! MORE SEATING inside! Especially where we can watch you guys make the ice cream! Good luck & I know you guys are making Grandma Pucci very proud!

Best Ice cream ever. WAAAY better than Afters ice cream located at the Shoppes. Their Tuesday special is the best. Two scoops for 2.50, (Used to be $2... economy...) BUT GO! Love the coffee and the cheesecake ice cream. Yum.

  • Olivia T.

I've had several types of ice cream here. While the ice cream was indeed delicious with plenty of flavors to choose from, it was too milky for my taste. I've had the 5 flavor sampler and the gummy bear sundae. The 5 flavor sampler should be shared amongst 3 or more instead of just one individual him or herself. I thought I was going to get diabetes straight after. The gummy bear sundae was actually pretty disappointing. The gummy bears were hard as rocks, and the ice cream chosen, to my recollection, was not meshing well with the sundae. Overall, I give this ice cream parlor a 3. Too milky, and the shelf life of the topping (gummy bears) I tried was questionable.

Came here today, upon finding this place on yelp searching for ice cream. It also happens to be a Tuesday, so I got the 2 scoops for $2 deal. There were a good amount of people there, but fortunately not a really long line. I tried the banana cream pie and black cherry in a sugar cone, and they were both delicious. The girl who took my order was really nice as well. Apparently they can send receipts to your mobile phone if you want. Also they accept credit, free of charge. I'll definitely be back to try other flavors!

Kinda thought I was alone on this so it took me a while to review this place. I have to agree with Jayne L on this, though... Came here with co-workers after eating lunch and we wanted dessert. We searched for a dessert place and came across Grandma Pucci's Homemade Ice Cream with 4.5 stars on Yelp. We were all eager to try this and couldn't find it for a while, so I called and I was told it was near Target. We finally found it and saw a massive people in there.. hmm LITERALLY. Not sure if any of these people are ice cream experts, but to REALLY know what a good ice cream comes from, you start from the source: VANILLA. I tried their vanilla and it was awful, awful, awful. It didn't taste homemade. In fact, it tasted store bought. You know those cheap ice creams people buy at Smart & Final? The ones with a clear bucket? That one. I secretly wished it was ice cream from Thrifty's or Baskin Robbins. Clearly, it wasn't. If you mess up on vanilla, you mess up on everything else. I didn't end up getting anything because it also had a chemical taste. Coworkers ended up getting pretzel ice cream and pralines n cream. They loved it.. of course, since they're massive.....

I have been to Grandma Pucci's a number of times since it has opened and have had mixed feelings about the service and the knowledge of the employees in regards to the menu. One evening I came in and I asked for two scoops of cookie dough ice cream. The gentleman gave me my ice cream and when I got to my next destination I noticed there was probably 3 -4 morsels of cookie dough in the top scoop. So I tried scooping the majority of the top scoop and into the trash (because I thought maybe there would be more cookie dough in the next scoop even though the first should have probably had more than 3-4). After searching through the bottom scoop I found there was less cookie dough in the than what was in the first!!! So even though I was extremely annoyed, I drove back. The same gentleman that gave me the ice cream said that he would get me two new scoops. He goes over to the cookie dough ice cream bin and then comes back to the counter and said "Yea, actually there's not even that much cookie dough in that batch." -_- My response was "Then why would you sell that to me in the first place??" So he lets me know that he's going to go to the back and make a fresh batch. He returns about five minutes later and said, "I'm sorry, but we have very little cookie dough to even make another batch, do you want to BUY another flavor?" Now why would I want to BUY anything else?? Why wouldn't he just give me two new scoops of something else? You just admitted an error on Grandma Pucci's stock of cookie dough and you're seriously asking me if I want to BUY another two scoops? I just asked for a refund and I won't be going back, that's absolutely ridiculous. Go to Cold Stone, at least you'll get the flavor and service you are paying for.

On our way to get lunch, we stumbled upon this place. THANK GOD WE DID. 5 stars for parking 5 stars for cleanliness 5 stars for customer service 5 stars for the free samples 5 stars for THE TASTE (I tried the dark chocolate with PB, I tried the Butter Pecan, I tried the PB Cookie Dough, and tried the Graham cracker ) They were all delicious! 3 stars for the price. It's expensive. A *treat* destination for sure! It was 4.59 for 3 scoops of ice cream.

This small biz has some DELICIOUS ice cream. Not only that, they have many different unique and creative flavors. This place is new but is already very popular and word on the street is they're planning to make it a chain. So get there now, so you can say you've had the original! This is a great place for families, mini-dates, etc. Or just go alone if you've got a big sweet tooth! The service is quick and friendly. I highly recommend this place; try not to get too addicted ;) P.S. They have $2 Tuesday! Take advantage!

First time here last night... I love ice cream no matter what, but this ice cream was amazing!!! I loved it... I will definitely come back for more... customers service was great... I was already been helped waiting for my banana split and root beer float when two of the associate asked if I was already being helped... to me that's amazing cause in other places I have gone they just pretend to do work and avoid customers. People saying this place is "gross" well they can go ahead and get their ice cream from the grocery store, because this place is the shit!

  • Jen C.

They have a lot of different ice cream and gelato. I ended up having Espresso Bean Gelato. I like the the flavor but it's not that strong of a coffee flavor compared to McConnell's ice cream. Service is good. There's always a lot of workers and the lines aren't that long. Definitely will come back here again.

Updating my review. I have to say that I love ice cream and this is my new favorite place to get great homemade style ice cream and gelato. They have a great and always changing selection of flavors. So far I have had the banana graham, chocolate brownie, coffee almond, and of course vanilla. They run daily specials. $2 Tuesday is always packed. My personal favorite is the $5 banana split on Saturday. Their banana splits are three scoops of ice cream, strawberries, cherries. Pineapple, bananas, hot fudge, whip cream, and peanuts. Truly worth the regular price of $6.50 and a great deal for $5 on Saturdays! I will be checking in often!

  • Ashley Q.

OVERALL RATING: Solid 5 So many flavors. And so good too. I loved the banana graham (so much I bought a quart!), and the expresso chip gelato was good too. I got raspberry sherbet and vanilla for myself to-go, but the sherbet was average and vanilla was yogurt-y. Maybe the server gave me the wrong flavor, because there's two types of vanilla. I don't mind too much, though. Service is super friendly. The manager and noticeably new servers were all chirpy and encouraged me to try new flavors. Plenty of service and registers open. ***If you're coming here, try something new! I'm usually a sucker for traditional flavors, such as vanilla, but here, they specialize at the more unique flavors, such as s'mores and banana graham. If they don't seem to have it out, ask! They have a lot of other flavors in the back and they're more than happy to get it for you. Overall, great service, uniquely delicious flavors, great daily deals!

I came in on Monday to try some ice cream after lunch. The mood inside was pretty slow there was one person working the counter. I proceeded to wait while one girl tried every flavor in the whole store. I proceeded to order the pistachio ice cream with a butter pecan scoop. Quite honestly I don't believe this ice cream taste any better than the stuff you get at the supermarkets. I wasn't blown away or anything it was just meh! I also find it quite expensive for two scoops of ice cream for that supermarket taste; I could have gone to the supermarket and have gotten a whole tub. That's just my 2 cents.

Came here expecting some small hole-in-the-wall ice cream store with an elderly grandmother greeting us... was met with a rather modern and spacious store filled with young and exuberant employees. They offer many different flavors, from your everyday cookies and cream to more unique flavors like Graham Cracker Crunch and Blueberry Pie. The employee recommended Graham Cracker Crunch and after trying it, I decided to get a scoop of that, as well as a scoop of my favorite Pistachio. The Graham Cracker Crunch was great, but started to taste bitter after the first couple bites. The Pistachio wasn't the best I had tasted, and I was not a fan of the overwhelming number of pistachios in a single scoop. Still, the ice cream in general genuinely tasted homemade, and I'd rather return here than another chain store. Will be returning to try some other flavors!

  • Lizy H.

The decor gets me every time. Ye old ice cream parlor with warm and inviting atmosphere this place is not. It's clear they started with some sort of vision, what with the blue and orange color scheme and the glass window that was apparently supposed to showcase what I imagine to be the churning of homemade ice cream. But what really happened was a sterile hospital-like environment with bad color coordination and two ice cream machines behind a very large glass enclosure. Someone gave up on the signs and now they have taped the latest specials printed from someone's home Epson printer on 8x11 paper. It all just gives me a good laugh in a satirical way. Their ice cream is both cheap and rich, no pun intended.

  • Priscilla L.

I went there for $2 Tuesday and it was busy!!! There was two lines going almost out the door and the store was filled mostly with large families and groups of people. Since you get two scoops of ice cream for dirt cheap, you will not able to sample flavors. So, I got their banana pie again. The banana pie also had pieces of pie that I didn't get the first time. My second scoop was mint chip (my typical favorite ice cream), which did not disappoint. The chocolate chips were very small and spaced evenly. The ice cream flavor was minty, which was very soothing. Ice cream cravings satisfied. :)

  • Sharon N.

Granted they have great tasting ice cream, however here is why they are getting 1 star. First off they don't offer enough size choices. You are forced to get 2 scoops when I only wanted one. Secondly the only non dairy items offered are 4 choices if tasteless sherbet. On a third note they false advertise on their daily specials. On Wednesday when we were there it states that you buy 1 shake, sundae or cone and you get 1 for half price. I asked if a cup was included and was told yes. I got a cup my daughter a cone. My husband paid and didn't get the discount I asked why and was told it has to be same item. It says that no where on the advertising in the window. And to top it off the employee said a cup was a better choice for the sherbet. Needless to say we will not be back.

100 percent homemade. I became a regular patron ever since we moved to chino area. Tuesday $2 a cup with 2 scoops. Also like their specialty sundae. With a brownie based plus 3 different ice cream flavor of my own. Topped with whipped cream and hot fudge. Yummy!

Loved their ice cream! Amazing flavors! Gave 4 stars bc their service was subpar. The place was busy but it wasn't packed. They clearly didn't have enough people to handle the crowd. Had to wait almost 10 mins just to get noticed. Not happy about that. Will likely go back for the ice cream tho...

  • Maria B.

I tried this awhile ago since everyone was saying great things about it. The ice cream was okay, but I haven't been back since that first, crowded visit (which tells me I wasn't super wowed by it). The selections were good, as was the flavor, but I am just as happy at Baskin Robbins or Cold Stone.

Their ice cream's pretty great. Home made so its rich and creamy, lots of options, and deals of the day. So four stars four that. But i'm inclined to give this place only three stars because of their customer service. While they seem to be attentive, the workers have some major attitude problems. It was my first time there and so I took some time scanning the menu. The lady became frustrated because I did not pick immediately. When I had questions she'd would stare at me in disbelief and answer with an attitude. I understand this place has been here for a while so people are probably familiar with what flavors to get, but as a newcomer it's quite unwelcoming. Great ice cream but please improve your customer service as it can turn away potential customers!

  • MegHan M.

I went here on a Friday night with friends. The line was almost out the door - three girls were working. I ordered coffee flavored ice cream, one friend ordered a banana split, the other a sundae. We all agreed ice cream was one of the best we'd had. I give only four stars because the line moved extremely slow, tables were dirty (we ate outside), and for a cup of water its $0.25 - the ice cream is pricey enough to give free water. If there were more staff I think the line would've moved much more smoothly.

I don't have a Handel's in my area so this will have to do. On Tuesdays it's super cheap per scoop but that also means no sampling. Try the butter pecan. It's fantastic!

SO BOMB!!! This place is the best ice cream place in the area, hands down. Definitely beats out your chains like Baskin Robbins, Coldstones, etc... The ice cream is really rich and creamy, which is my fav!! You just cant be ice cream like this. The flavors are very rich and the serving size is really reasonable. You get two large scoops of ice cream for $4, and if you happen to end up there on a Tuesday, it's two scoops for $2. LIKE SERIOUSLY!! My favorite flavors are goosebumps (Dark chocolate and peanut butter, ALL TIME FAV), Graham Cracker Crunch, and some Mocha oreo one that I don't know the name of. Also, the young servers that work there are always really chipper and nice. They don't mind when you ask to try things like a lot of other desert places where you feel bad taking too many samples to know what you like. Remember to tip them!! :)

I am impressed about the ice cream. Much better than the regular ice cream chains (coldstone, baskinrobbins). Service gets an A++ Taste gets an A Choices are plenty. You should try it.

I cannot understand why this place would have 4.5/5 stars. I went for the first time on February 14th hoping this place would be good but deeply disappointed. The ice cream wasn't even as cold as ice cream should be. The service was sub par. It's the same service I would expect from Baskin robbins or mcdonalds, it was nothing out of the ordinary. The ice cream had an appearance of unnatural colors. The flavor were mediocre at best. All I can give them is that they give large scoops for the price they are selling it at but I will not be returning. This place was greatly disappointing and I question the high ranked reviews.

This is possibly some of the best ice cream I've ever had. It is made with fresh ingredients, including fresh fruit. My favorite is the fresh banana graham. ALL the flavors are amazing, though. They have daily specials, including milk shake Mondays, $2 (for 2 scoops) Tuesdays, and $7 quart Thursdays. If you haven't tried it, come ASAP!

The ice cream reminds me of what traditional ice cream should taste like. The place is hidden and from a distance the ice cream shop looks just like a place you would skip because of no drive-thru Lol. I got a double scoop ice cream. Blueberry pie and cookie dough. Really taste,I recommended you stop by. I will have to come back to review some more. 4 for now.

Blistering hot chino summer day called for some ice cream. Hommade ice cream that is. My lady got the blueberry pie and banana graham cracker ice cream and she was quite satisfied. The richness of the flavor with the thick texture was the perfect combo. I needed something more thirst quenching so I went for the strawberry banana smoothie. The light pink colored concoction was the perfect blend of bananas, strawberries, and some grandma pucci love. Holding back a star because the ambiance could use some coziness. But, not a bad place at all!

This ice-cream place is okay. Clean fast service hard to decide what you really want as in flavors. I did count 31 flavors to choose from i wonder where grandma got that idea? The have about 8 different sundaes although too pricey. Does have a taste of home made. I rather go to rite-aide ice cream .

Service was alright. Walked in and two girls and a guy was working. Guy was new and still learning so he didn't know much, and the girls with him either didn't care or didn't know or just completely unenthusiastic about their job. We got to try some flavors with not very many suggestions on their side. However, you have about a handful of choices, all your typical basics. The waffle cone is very yummy (not stale like others). Cookies and cream had real cookies in it and quote good. Strawberry cheesecake was fresh and had a really good texture. Overall good icecream. On the downside, it was awfully heavy and a bit too sweet. I would go here for a snack, not so much after a heavy dinner.

In my opinion, this ice cream is on par with Fosselman's Ice Cream down in Alhambra. Fosselman's is 25 miles away from my house where Grandma Pucci's is like 12 miles so I'm definitely more inclined to come here if I was craving some bomb ice cream. My girlfriend got the 2 scoop (apparently they don't do single scoops here? call me out if I'm wrong). Banana Graham and the other was some other flavor that had pretzels in it (can't remember the flavor...whoops). Banana Graham tho...BOMB!!! I sampled the Blueberry Pie too which was also pretty good and I'll come back to get a scoop next time. 2 scoops is $4.27. Heard the $2 for 2 scoops on Tuesday's gets super packed but I'm sure it'd be worth it haha. Huge place for an ice cream shop although there's only 7-8 tables. I feel like they could better utilize the room and add more tables for when it's super crowded but whatevs. I'll be back for sure! And they sell the ice cream in pint/gallons too!

What a great place. I love their ice cream. I came on 2 dollar Tuesday and I got two scoops of ice cream on a huge cone. The ice cream is so good here, nothing beats fresh. I am definitely a fan of this place and I'll be back to try other flavors.

So glad we found this place awhile ago when they first opened and since then, we have been regulars. I always always get the banana graham and blueberry pie which are my absolute faves! I want to try other flavors but can't stray away from these since they are so freakin good! I did however get to try the Nutella gelato which was absolutely amazing, but they don't have it all of the time since they only have a select few gelato flavors that they rotate daily. $2 Tuesdays are awesome being that you actually get 2 scoops for $2! So be ready with your flavor choices. What a steal! They actually have some kind of deal every single day so make sure you check it out. $5 banana split Saturdays are always cool too. They make them sooo huge! Needless to say, I will continue making my regular stops here since they are so conveniently close to me and the employees are always so helpful and nice!

Scoops of yummy goodness!! I was in town and had a mind blowing idea followed by a gigantic craving for icecream. Let's start off with it is ridiculous, all the flavors are off the hook. Start with Bananagram moving right into blueberry pie and you will see why. The blueberry pie is like having a fruit explosion in your mouth. All the girls behind the counter are super friendly and polite with a warm smile. Do not hesitate to ask to try any flavors of ice cream for you will miss out. The prices are fantastic very reasonable for homemade ice cream. Can't wait for them to open a store near me. 5 star's!!!!

  • Dana P.

I'm Dana and i haven't tried this place but I'm pretty sure that it is really good. I want to eat the banana split on the Saturday special! 1.50 OFF! WHO WOULDN'T WANT THAT?!?!?! Thanks

Get your brain freeze on with homemade flavors. Mix and match and blend interesting concoctions into a shake. New flavors surprise the customers. Look out for their specials also. Great customer service. This place can get kind of busy at times, but it's definitely worth the wait. Your brain freeze deserves a quality catalyst.

Ice cream is great! I'd come back because it tastes great!!! Be warned its VERY expensive. $4.50 for a little scoop on a sugar cone!! Maybe it was the girl scooping it but my recommendation is to bump up serving sizes.....

Not an ice cream fan but omg I'm obsessed with this place!! Way better than Cold Stones, Baskin Robbins, Ben & Jerry, Yogurtland(yuck), Joghurt(yes I know those 2 are yogurt places but still) and Dripp. Even though I don't come here as much as I wish I could...whenever I get an ice cream craving....this place is always my first choice and it definitely does the job. Most of the flavors I've tried are all so creamy and delicious! The texture and flavor is on point! Seriously don't know what you put in the ice cream but don't ever change it! It's amazinggggg!!!! The inside is clean and spacious and the staff are all friendly and accommodating as well. Another plus is you get 2 scoops of ice for a really good price! Can barely finish it, it's super filling!

Okay- this is our new favorite ice cream shop!! Banana graham, Oreo cheesecake, mint chocolate chip. So yummy. While we were there the owner, John came out and gave us samples of all the different ice creams- Dana is super sweet and very helpful. I love it!

  • G M.

Excellent service and really great homemade ice cream. Make sure you keep up to date on the specials like the two dollar for two scoop Tuesdays and sign up for their rewards program to get money back. I have taken friends and family there and I definitely. Recommend it.

  • Jenny R.

Ice cream wise, delicious and flavorful. I had the banana graham and strawberry cheesecake... Yumm!!! It was awkward walking into a quiet, spacious - ice cream shop. Play some music or something?! Hire outgoing people to great customers, offer samples, let then know where the line starts and ends! When I think of ice cream... I think of happy thoughts! I'm treating myself out, my guilty pleasure!! It's like the sucked the fun out of it? Haha, that sounds silly to say. Put up some visual stimulation! Signs with paragraphs on them are NOT going to be read. You have ice cream in different sections, separated by registers. When more people started walking in, I felt a need to let others know I was next, because no one had a clue what was going on.

5 stars for the s'mores. Best. Ever. Hands down. I can't wait to try other flavors...will definitely come back on $2 Tuesday!

Good ice cream but poor customer service. Customer service really effects my experience even if the ice cream was good....not great. When we arrived there were 3 parties ahead of us and only one guy helping people and another guy was walking around doing who knows what but wouldn't helping customers be number 1 priority? The guy helping us finally asked the lady in the ice cream making room to help. She seemed annoyed! She helped one party and she was to help us next and said, "I will be right back!" She just left and NEVER came back!

Oh my goodness it's like the Handels of Chino Hills I really like this place! I usually go to Frostbites down the street (sorbet so it's much lighter than handmade ice cream). But my boyfriend and I had pieology for dinner, so we stopped by since it was in the same plaza. best decision ever. It was a Thursday night, so it wasn't as crowded as it would be on Tuesdays. The girl that helped us was very friendly and patient (it was our first time, so we had 5-8 sample spoons in our hands before we ordered LOL) I sampled a good amount of flavors, don't remmber them all, BUT they were all very good! It had a quality to it that you cant find at most corporate ice cream stores like Baskin Robbins etc., In terms of quality, it is quite similar to Handels in Upland or Rancho. However Handels is more of a to-go place, where as Grandma Pucci's has ample seating inside and outside (but i'm sure its packed on Tuesdays!) It's located in a huge plaze, if you're ever in the area definitely swing by after running errands or eating at the various restaurants nearby!

  • Janelle D.

I am constantly coming here with my boyfriend. We are addicted to say the least. I normally come here on Tuesdays for their two dollar scoops special (Two dollars for two scoops of ice cream? Sounds good to me). They have a deal for everyday but Tuesday is my favorite day to come haha. I love getting shakes there too they are super creamy and amazing. I love how they are consistently making new ice creams to try and all of their ice cream is made there. Their 'mocha oreo fudge', 'banana cream pie' and 'gorilla in the mist' flavors are hands down my favorites. They have gelato too and they taste divine as well.

    (5)
  • Neville T.

The prices are so amazing and the ice cream is some of the best! Come on Tuesdays for 2 dollars for 2 scoops. I got cookies and cream and then I had the pumpkin cheesecake, and by God the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream was the greatest thing I've had in my entire life. I don't know if they still make it, but if they do, get it. The reason I can't give 5 stars is one the staff members was being kinda rude to my friend. They don't offer samples on 2 dollar Tuesday, so my friend was looking around to pick, and the lady had a pretty mean look on her face when talking to him and was getting annoyed when my friend didn't know what he wanted. And then she tried to be nice to me when I was ordering and was telling a story about how she was working all day and her hands were sweaty. I don't want to know about the perspiration of your hands. But then again that was just one time, the quality was amazing so I will be back for sure.

It really does taste like homemade ice cream! It's a little expensive but the portions and taste make up for it. Well worth the visit!

My mom says she can tell good quality ice cream from bad quality ice cream, but I'm not sure if I inherited that ability or not... All I know is I sure enjoyed my sugar cone of coffee almond fudge ice cream on this nice summer's day. My boyfriend and I split a regular- which is two scoops, but they can put them in separate cups so essentially you get a scoop each for the same price, and each person can get the flavor they want. He went with the Fire Cracker- a raspberry, blueberry, bubblegum swirl thingy, probably in honor of Independence Day! Only things that were a bit off are 1) there's not really a line, and there are two different displays where you can look and sample the ice cream- I'm assuming one was basic flavors and the other was newer flavors, since they both seemed to be different. But I imagine it could get messy without more clear signage or line forms or something 2) Couldn't seem to find napkins out anywhere, and it's a pretty big store. Good thing I'm grown now and not as prone to get ice cream all over myself. But still...

What kind of ice cream store doesn't give you any samples !? Ice cream is good but I won't come back .

Move over Baskin Robins and Cold Stones, you have some serious competition. Banana Graham ice cream. soooooo delish. I'm not a huge fan of banana but when I sampled it during my first visit, I fell in love with an ice cream flavor and now I can't get enough of it!!! The staff here is so friendly and provided as many samples that I wanted to try. Their Pistachio and Blueberry Pie flavors are great as well! I'm happy they opened in time for summer, because now I know where I'm gonna get my ice cream fix from now on :3

Went to get ice cream with family. My daughter was very happy because they had chocolate. I wanted pistachio, didn't have that available, ok my second favorite rocky road, nope sorry. Also we were waiting forever while this couple was tasting every flavor they had. The girl at counter did not help us, clearly the couple couldn't decide what they wanted. My husband wanted one scoop, but unfortunately adults can only get 2 scoops?? What is that?? Really? I Only want 1 scoop! I ended up just getting my daughters ice cream and just left. Next time I will be going to yogurt land.

I've been to grandma pucci's 4 times. I've tried the lime sherbet (ok, needs more lime tang) blueberry cheesecake (very good) , banana graham (good but makes my mouth dry) orange sherbet (good) strawberry cheesecake (very good, not very sweet but makes mouth dry) , gorillas in the mist (ok, I don't like mint that much), mocha (good) and lemon (ok). Best time to come is Tuesdays for their specials but I usually come on Saturday nights between 9-11pm closing time. I've had pretty good service everytime I go. The workers are young and pretty friendly. It's fun to come here with a group and chill and eat your ice cream inside the place. I've brought a lot of people here and they all have seemed to enjoy it. It's all fresh, tastes homemade and they have a big variety for people to choose from. It's not my favorite ice cream place but it holds a place in my heart since it's where I come with my friends.

  • Sarah K.

Woww.. I have never had such creamy and rich ice cream like this ice cream store. I got the banana graham and smores ice cream. oh my gosh the banana graham is heavenly....That would probably be my staple flavor. I also got the s'mores ice cream that just came out a few minutes before so it was freshly made. It was a bit too sweet for me but it was still good! The mocha almond ice cream (I think... I don't remember what it's called) was also tasty! And of course five stars for customer service! The guy who helped us out was extremely nice as well:) Everyone needs to check this place out! It's perfect for those hot summer days~

Saw one of my friends check in here on Yelp.....I'm a Chino Hills native, so I always like to try new places when they open up....especially when they are dessert/coffee places. Man oh man......I've had some good ice cream before, but Grandma Puccis is on a whole 'nother level. The staff is super friendly.....they asked how I heard about them, told me a little bit of history about Grandma Puccis, and let me try as many flavors as I wanted (which was like 6 lol). They have 40 (yes, four-zero) flavors of ice cream and gelato per day. And they rotate through 100+ flavors overall. So there will always be something new to try. This being my first visit, I decided to venture out from the normal flavors I get. I chose S'mores, and Gorillaz in the Mist. The S'mores tasted like I was sitting at a campire in the mountains, eating a s'more. They nailed the flavors SPOT on....graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow....it was all there. And the Gorillaz in the Mist.....is forget exactly what is in it....but its dark chocolate. And I love it. Super chocolately, with just the right amount of sweet......might just be my favorite flavor ever. I'll definitely be coming back......my curiosity won't let me just sit while all these new flavors come out. A+ from me.

Last night was my second trip to Grandma Pucci's and it was as yummy as the first. The lines were crazy so everyone in town is trying it out. I got the black cherry which was chock full of giant cherries and the banana graham which was super yummy. . Both were delicious. The only thing missing was a true, gooey dark chocolate. I tried the chocolate brownie but it was just ok and I'm not a fan of chocolate peanut butter or chocolate raspberry. Please Grandma, make me some chocolate!

  • Denise R.

Excellent ice cream. The shop is spacious with lots of table to enjoy your treats. I had the peanut butter fudge and it was probably the best I have ever had. They have kids scoops, which makes it more affordable. For an adult two scoop, it is around $4. We will be back.

Just as the store reads homemade, done ! Creamy and milky ice cream, $2 Tuesdays are a steal not sure id come back for a regular $ 4.00 a scoop fee.... Owners should consider reducing the costs.....

Yeepee, another great place opened in the area. Had the s'mores and banana graham and it's to die for. So much better than typical cold stone or baskin robbins type of ice cream joint. Very homemade taste and great choices, smooth and not too sweet. All in perfection.

everything is gross. do not get their shakes. it's nasty and watered down. their strawberry shake tasted like nesquick with water. their mint chip shake tasted like andes mint candy with water. tried a few ice cream flavors - vanilla, strawberry, coffee chocolate chip, and blueberry pie. we settled for the blueberry pie since FF and I love blueberry! if you absolutely need to get ice cream, get the blueberry pie or their coffee chocolate chip. that's all you need to get here. on the bright side, service is wonderful. the employees are sweet, just like ice cream.

Let's just say this placed opened last Saturday and I've already been here twice. I don't even work here. Service is phenomenal! Tammy is a pleasure to talk to. Especially since we've gotten the low down on upcoming flavors and which ice creams are worth a try. Don't forget to sample the banana graham. It'll have you coming back the next day.

  • Mel B.

Yeah I'm not so sure what the hype is all about. Maybe because it's a new ice cream Place in town, who knows. But I felt it was only ok. I think I'm more of a froyo kind of gal and so ice cream just taste so rich to me. Also the prices are ridicules. I get it's homemade but man I would not pay $2-3 for one scoop of ice cream. Also I tried the gelato and that does not taste like gelato to me and I've had my share of awesomeness of gelato in Europe. So overall it's ok.

    (3)
  • Savannah G.

Best ice cream ever! :) great staff. Inexpensive. It's just great overall. I saw all the great reviews on yelp, & decided to give it a try. Best decision ever!!

    (5)
  • R L.

Ran out of basic flavors like vanilla. That's just bad for the business. Also, be prepared for an unorganized messy line. It is not first come first serve. It is who ever the workers feel like servicing next. I came in ahead of a few people and got served last. NOTE TO THE MANAGER OR OWNER OF THIS PLACE: get a numbering system. Each customer who comes in takes a number. When their number is called, it is their turn. This way you don't have this disorganized line and people don't cut in front of the person who came in first.

I scream; you scream; we all scream for ice cream! I have never tried homemade ice cream so I have to baseline to compare with; however, I can confirm that thw flavors I tried at Grabdma Pucci's were absolutely delicious! They even custom create flavors for you (min. 1 gallon order). Will return on Tuesday when they have the $2 cone deal!

I fell in love tonight with the shaved ice Cherry flavor. If you don't like this flavor, you are not human. Great service allows you to sample flavors that include another favorite of mine, PB&J ice cream.

I'm giving 4 stars because it was overall more good than bad. Let me just start off by saying the Ice Cream is amazing. Zero complaints there, perfect texture, flavor is to the T, they have so many different flavors you can pick from and it's always hard picking which one you want. The place is super clean and has good seating areas outside and inside to. Some ridiculousness that they got going on over here though is their employees kindve suck. (Sorry girls) but when you work somewhere you should know at least the prices and specials you have going on when a customers asks. My roommate and boyfriend all went one night and they couldn't give us a specific answer on how much the shakes were. They just said "somewhere In that range", I forgot the exact numbers but I thought it was slightly ridiculous. She kept pointing to the menu whenever one of us asked about a price or special because it seemed like she had no idea what to say. It was alittle rude. Also they will refuse to give you a cone on top of your ice cream when you get it in a bowl without paying extra.... How unamerican is that? Growing up and getting a cone on top is tradition. The girl at the counter made it such a big deal. I just expected a cone without hassle so I guess it just caught me off guard. another thing is their line system S U C K S. There's no legit line, people just stand everywhere and its kindve a clusterfuck. I try not to go on the busy nights bc Id go crazy... They need some serious lining tape or top of something. All and all you're not wasting any time or money. I'd definitely recommend paying a visit here to anyone but just know some of the girls that work there are alittle retarded lol

My daughter tripped and started crying so to appease her, her father asked her if she wanted ice cream, I gasped because I wanted ice cream too! I think I was more excited than my daughter. He suggested we tried Grandma Pucci's, we usually go to Handel's, but I've been eyeballing Grandma Pucci's for awhile so I agreed. It was also $2 Tuesday and upon arrival, the place was packed! Oddly enough, the line might look long, but it blew by pretty fast, by the time it was our turn, we ordered a strawberry ice cream for the little girl, and I got myself a rocky road and strawberry cheesecake. Apparently all cones are $2, I had assumed it was either the sugar cone or cake cone, so I grabbed myself a waffle cone. The total came out to be $4 exactly and they took my credit card, which was lovely. At Handel's, I believe you need an order of $5 before they will take your card, otherwise it's cash. I took a bite and it was scrumptious. The rocky road was fantastic, but it wasn't mind blowing. The strawberry cheesecake, on the other hand, I fell absolutely in love with. The cheesecake chunks were a delight. Both ice cream were rich, creamy, and flavorful. It's sweetened perfectly and I will most definitely come back so I can try their huge collection of flavors.

Just tried this place for the first time and I have to say the ice cream was pretty good and they have a wide variety of choices. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because of the atmosphere and service or lack thereof. Our scooper tonight had no energy or personality. He asked if we had been there before and when we mentioned it was my first time he didn't reply. No recommendations, no little story of what the place was all about, nothing. After we sat down we noticed the big open space that is Grandma Pucci's. It is very roomy with nothing on the walls and no music. You can hear each individual order and conversation which made our visit a little awkward. Oh and the spoon cut my lip open. All in all great homemade ice cream but I would recommend taking it to go.

Came here on a Saturday evening. They have my baby a baby cone on the house! How nice was that? Natalie was very friendly and gave us such great service! Since it was our first time here she asked if my husband wanted to try a flavor before ordering, she was very patient and always had a smile on her face! I enjoyed theint n chip n tried the banana graham. The banana graham was more on the sweet side but it was still yummy. Will definitely be back because of the exceptional service we received from Natalie.

New place that just opened in chino hills. Love the "homey" feeling and the selections of ice cream is pretty versatile. The ice cream is all homemade and tastes delicious. The pistachio had so many chunks of pistachio, it was the perfect sweet and salty combination. Definitely will come again to try more flavors and will recommend to anyone!

Tons of flavors and you can sample. Every day they have a special - Tuesday's is $2 scoops but you won't be allowed to do free samples because the line is too long. I had the black cherry which was filled with delicious huge cherries and the graham cracker crunch (graham cracker ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels). Their "regular" scoop" actually comes with two scoops so you can try two flavors. Handels (located in Rancho and Upland) has always been my favorite ice cream stop but this may tie it up or get the lead... the ice cream was great and the service was fantastic. When we're craving ice cream this will be the new stop... worth our 10 minute drive!

This ice cream "fixes" me and really cheers me up. Its so fresh and creamy. Lots of inventive flavors. Decent, humble decor. Prices are comparable to other ice cream places, if not slightly cheaper. Totally worth it.

$2 Tuesdays. This is an awesome place to be during the summer nights. It brings the community and families together.

Came here with my husband and children because of the Yelp reviews. I got Mint n Chip and I actually preferred it to Thrifty brand Mint n Chip. The mints in the Ice Cream were very fine and not too chunky which I hate. I'm looking forward to trying more flavors!

So glad this place exists! Fresh, homemade ice cream, friendly employees, clean shop with ample seating. What more could you ask for? My favorites were White Gold (chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream with white chocolate chips and caramel swirl) and Banana Graham (it's like a banana cream pie!). Regular is 2 scoops for $3.95 and large is 3 scoops for $4.25. On Fridays they have $5 banana splits. They also have gelato if you're looking for lighter options.

With this heat, which isn't that quite bad but I'm on a ice craze and I have to say there is really nothing special about their ice cream. I felt the you tasted the flavor initially but after was all cream. Can't quite pin point the exact wording, but I rather have ice cream down the street at dripp

Great spot for ice cream but no air conditioning inside. That sounds weird because it is weird and it feels oddly warm and humid inside sometimes.

  • Julie C.

Disappointing first visit! After standing in a disorganized line for 20 to 25 minutes, we finally fought our way up to the counter. Every flavor of ice cream we wanted to try was out. After 5 minutes of naming flavors, we finally asked what they did have and were told they only had a couple of undesirable flavors left. I mean, who runs out of basic vanilla? They should have a list of sold out flavors or cover the flavor on the sign if it is out so you know what is actually available and you don't stand in line for so long to find out the flavors aren't available. Not worth all the effort for having to leave empty handed. As a side note, the ice cream shop was a total mess....old spoons and other trash on the floor, tables dirty with melted sticky ice cream, etc. The only plus was the gal behind the counter who tried to help us, she was very nice.

Tuesday special is 2 (huge) scoops for $2!! The ice cream here is phenomenal, all fresh ingredients and full of flavor!! If you come to Chino HIlls and you love ice cream, you have to try Grandma Puccis homemade ice cream.

    (4)
  • Summer W.

The ice cream is super fresh. I love homemade ice cream. You have to try the graham cracker crunch. I've never tasted anything like it. Amazing!!

    (5)
  • Aaron H.

I really enjoyed the variety and in a sense "homemade" flavors they had, but the store didn't give off a good vibe. The ice cream texture itself was no different than store bought ice cream. It however, was pretty expensive for the small amount they give. I probably wouldn't go back for a while, but its a cool place to check out around in chino.

Stopped by Grandma Puccis Homemade Ice Cream after watching Guardians of the Galaxy with my boyfriend. Grandma Puccis is located in a plaza that houses target, ross, and JJ's bakery. I went inside and the girl at the counter was very friendly. She was very helpful and gave me tons of free samples! I tried the vanilla gelato, the mint chocolate chip gelato, the raspberry cheesecake, and one that tasted like a thin mint. My boyfriend and I decided to get one scoop of the cheesecake and one scoop of the thin mint. We would have preferred to have the option of getting one scoop in total, but the smallest option they had was two scoops of ice cream. Both ice creams were delicious, but hard to finish because we were both so full from lunch. Overall, I would visit this place again if I was craving ice cream and wasnt too full from other food!

It'd give it 4 stars but deducted 1 because it's pricey...butter pecan n pistachio are both good but not spectacular lol

To put in plainly, THE BEST. Huge variety of unique and everyday favorites, friendly staff, great service. I ordered a shake and it was perfect. Not too thick but not to liquidy either. Put this place on your list 'cause it's definitely worth it.

    (5)
  • Krys M.

Seriously delicious ice cream! The fella who helped us was so courteous. They allow you to try as many flavors as you want and their prices are reasonable. I had a very old coupon and they still honored it. I will definitely be back!

$2 double scoop ice cream on Tuesdays? Instant winner. Their banana graham ice cream really does live up to the hype. And you can never go wrong with a classic like cookies and cream! Bomb. Dot. Com.

    (5)
  • Charina G.

Milkshake Mondays! Their shakes are the bomb! you get to choose any 4 scoops of ice cream, gelato, or sorbet if you want. And on Mondays are only $4! With four scoops you can go crazy. The ice cream is also rich and very flavorful. Hubby got two scoops of Blueberry Cobbler and 2 scoops of Black cherry. Me being a chocoholic, I got Goosebumps, S'mores, Chocolate brownie, and Graham crunch milkshake with whip cream. Only thing that bums me out is that their website had cannoli cream as a flavor, which got me to come visit here, but of the few times I've gone and asked if they had cannoli cream, they didn't have that flavor. :(

Loveeee this place! Best fresh ice cream n great customer service even on their busiest days they keep their cool :D grandma would be proud! • Marissa P.

This ice cream place is AWESOME! I've only tried a few flavors but they are all delicious. So far my favorite is the chocolate (but I'm a simple girl). The other flavors that are really good is the almond fudge coffee, banana graham (most popular) and cookie dough. Each day there is a special that goes on. Their most popular day is Tuesday which is $2 scoop ice cream. My favorite day is the $1.50 off a quart (I like to go hard). Staff is really friendly and its open late (till 10pm).

    (5)
  • Yelp C.

So I was 16 when I entered and I left a 32 year old. The line was ridiculous! It was so unorganized. All the tables were filthy, no soap in the restrooms. If a place is this unorganized on the public side, I wonder the quality behind the doors :(. Will not be coming back, sad since the ice cream was good.

Could possibly be the best tasting ice cream I've ever had! And the employee that helped us, he is extremely friendly, helpful, and patient.

    (5)
  • Sally V.

Ice cream here is good... but most of the female employees are not very friendly or helpful. They are short with you when you ask them any questions about the flavors. I've visited this location 4times, and none of those visits had memorable experiences with the female employees. (there are male employees too, but none of them have helped me yet so I cannot speak for them). Tuesdays they have 2 scoops for $2. They do not allow sampling on that day due to the long lines.

    (3)

Absolutely the best ice cream around !! One word BOMB !! Very large selection. Hard to make a decision with all the flavors. Banana Gram is my favorite !!

Nice place to eat ice cream.. Staff are nice & ice cream is soo good.. They have each day special and for today Saturday banana split $5.. We ordered mint chip, Ricky Road & vanilla... With strawberry topping.. OMG it's so good.. I wanna come back next week everyday to try their specials!!!!

  • Serena Y.

Tried this place out today for the first time since it was their special $2 2 scoops Tuesday. I had the blueberry pie & raspberry cheesecake. it was delicious and mouthwatering. You can choose a sugar or cake cone and or a cup. Totally worth it, and this might be a weekly Tuesday pit stop for me before i head home. Also everyone is very friendly there. Just note that only on Tuesday you can't do any sampling just because they get crazy busy. Also they are still generous with their servings so even though its just $2 you still get the full price serving, which is what I appreciate.

So glad this place opened last week. Now we don't have to drive all the way to Handel's in Upland for our homemade ice cream fix. Banana Graham and S'mores are the truth!

Being a local I'm always welcoming new small business' and would prefer to try them over chains any day. Grandma Pucci's takes ice cream to another level. I tried the Banana Graham, Caramel Pretzel and Brownie Batter! Yum, Yummy, and Yummers! Definitely will be back again especially because it's very clean, organized, and staff is super friendly! Met the owner who brought me a spoon full of fresh pineapple coconut fresh out of the machine. Genuinely a very nice gentleman. Flavors were amazing, texture was smooth and creamy, not even frozen solid! Over all, all I can say is AMAZING!

  • Chelsey L.

Very delicious! We were helped right away and were explained the process since it was our first time. We were allowed to try as many samples as we liked. Started with pumpkin cheesecake and Graham cracker crumble or something like that. Very good almost got the latter, but then we were recommended the banana graham, could not stop eating it! My bf Got 2 scoops of the banana Graham, while I got one scoop of banana Graham and 1 scoop cookie dough just cause it's my usual fav and wanted to try it there. Very yummy, with lots of dough. However I still wanted more banana Graham!! Guess I'm going back!

I had an amazing first experience at Grandma Puccis ice cream. My father and i went there after shopping and we didnt know what was good, what the prices were, and we were just lost. The lady at the counter noticed and helped us out, she told us two great ice creams with fruits (this was for my aunt and uncle) helped me pick out a delicious caramel-y ice cream and for a total of 8 scoops it was only $15. I cant wait to go there again.

Wife and I went here after dinner. Wife ordered the Krazy Kahlua Coffee ice cream. She loved it. She said it was so creamy and so good. I met the owner John Pucci and he told me he is making a non fat version and a non sugar added version. Cannot wait until the end of the week so I can try this.

I can't say enough about this place. I grew up on homeade ice cream and have never had anything close to it until I walked into this place. The cheesecake ice cream is my favorite and every flavor is better than expected.

Great addition to the neighborhood. Went tonight! Long line but only took about 5 minutes to get to the front because they have a lot of employees working. Ice cream was soooo delish!!! $2 Tuesdays! We'll be back!

  • Rachel M.

This place is amazing! The ice cream definitely had that creamy homemade taste. My husband and I both agreed that we liked this place better than Baskin Robbins. There were several ice cream flavors to choose from as well as gelato. It is a large space with brightly colored floors. It was very clean and inviting. As if the ice cream wasn't fun enough, this parlor sports digital menus and a cash register where you can sign for purchases with your finger and even have your receipt texted to you! We will be back here often!

    (5)
  • Korey M.

I love the ice cream here. We came because the store was so close to home. The ice cream is at the same level as handles. The reason being the owners of both stores are brothers. We sampled over a half dozen flavors and were forced to pick only four. This was difficult because all the flavors are delicious. We went with banana graham and s'mores for one cup. The two flavors were each delicious and paired so well. The other cup was coffee almond fudge and Krazy kahlua. I will definitely be coming back for more as often as I can.

I'm a little embarrassed to say but today is my 3rd time here in 1 week! My first impression was ok. When my daughter and I came through the door, we weren't really greeted and it seemed tense. Anyway, I just wanted some ice cream and so far here are the ones I've tried: - Mocha Oreo: very good. Great mix of chocolate and coffee with crushed Oreos - Coffee almond: similar to Baskin's Jamoca Almond Fudge, but better! It doesn't have the swirls of chocolate but I didn't miss it - S'mores: so good! But after a while it got very sweet. I just start to look for that toasted marshmallow taste and more graham crackers. - Cotton Candy: my daughter's absolute fave! It had little chocolate chip bits. I'm not a fan of the flavor but the kids love it - Rocky Road: I made fun of my husband for choosing this flavor. And then he made fun of me for finishing his scoop. This is no run-of-the-mill RR. It's rich creamy chocolate with chocolate covered almonds and a marshmallow cream swirl! Wow. - Goosebumps: if you like dark rich chocolate and peanut butter, this is money! - Strawberry Cheesecake: yummy. Chunks of cheesecake mixed in. Overall their ice cream is creamy and flavors are fun and they have a great variety. A few suggestions though: - Please have a changing table in your restroom. There are mostly families who come here and it would help to have one. I had to walk back to my car to change baby and it's no bueno when you have ice cream waiting for you - it would also be nice to have some background music. The ambience seemed drab and didn't match the look of the place. - have mini trash receptacles for your sample spoons so customers don't have to walk back and forth to the trash bins near the entrance doors That's all. I'll let you know what I try tomorrow. Gelatos, I'm coming for you!

I'm not much of an ice cream kind of gal (I know...blasphemy!) and prefer froyo; however, I saw this place and the hubs and I decided to stop by to try it out as we were on our way to get froyo. OMG! Soooo good. We had the s'mores and graham cracker crunch. Delish! It so creamy and it tastes homemade (duh hence the name!). Other ice cream places taste very artificial to me but that's definitely not the case with this place. This is the real deal. Great customer service, lots of tempting flavors to choose, and it's super clean.

Wow, finally a GREAT ice cream parlour without being over priced. We got a banana split ($5) & it was enough for 2 . We got to choose our own flavors...

  • Jannie T.

Ice cream here is handmade and delicious. It is a little bit pricey but they have their $2 specials on Tuesdays. Still, I wish the prices were a little bit cheaper. Maybe run a frequent flier card for the loyal customers? Something. Staff here is friendly and informative. I will definitely be coming here more frequently during the summer! :)

Daily Italian gelato flavored. My favorite is banana or mango. Regular ice cream as well. $2 Tuesdays makes it worth the trip. On Thursdays, it's $7/pint ! Woohoo.

Better than Baskin Robbins. Good value for Tuesday. Texture and creaminess of the ice cream is pretty good. Doesn't feel too heavy after eating it. I plan to come back for the ice cream sandwich.

Delicious creamy smooth ice cream! My hubby brought me three containers of ice cream for my birthday and they are all delicious! Cookies and cream, pistachio and mint chocolate chip. I can't wait to try all the other amazing flavors.

$2 Ice cream Tuesdays! One word... packed!! I wish there was better organization. We came in earlier than a LOT of people and got served last. We spent almost 20 minutes waiting in line. Three lines, choose your fate. Plus my cone came apart half way through :( Was it worth it? The ice cream was delicious and creamy but I think you are better off coming another day and just paying $2 more.

A friend liked this place on FB, so I looked it up and had to try it because they make their own ice cream. I hate when mom and pop shops serve Dreyers. Came in and tried it with the family and everyone loved their selection. Banana Graham is delicious, Graham Cracker Crunch is delicious, my daughter loves the raspberry (she usually likes rainbow sherbet), and my son loves the ice cream cookie sandwich. Great place for delicious, home made ice cream at a very reasonable price as well!

Delicious ice cream. Way better than any chain hands down. Even better than Handles in my opinion.

This is a nice place to grab some dessert after dinner or lunch. Their tuesday special keeps everyone coming back! but seriously, the line is usually out the door on tuesdays so you can be anticipating that if you plan to go on that day. It's decently priced, unlike pretty much every other ice cream place besides thriftys and mcdonalds. Their blueberry pie flavor is really good, they have actual pieces of pie crust in it and it's just delicious! I haven't really tried many other flavors but they have a wide selection which I like. The inside is pretty spacious and there's some seating area outside as well but the inside kind of reminds me of a doctor's office for some reason.. especially the first time I came, when it just opened, it smelled like doctor's office in there but it's better now. The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is because I think the ordering process is a little confusing because apparently there's like four to five lines but you don't really know where those lines start and it's just kinda all over the place in my opinion.

Grandma Pucci's is ruining my summer body orrrrrr my lack of will power is ruining it. :) Everything I have tried there is delicious. The price is right, ice cream is fantastic and the staff is awesome.

I just moved into the area and was looking for a my new go to ice cream place. I think I've found it at Grandma Pucci's. The ice cream is made in shop and they have sooo many flavors. They also give large portions, so one portion is perfect for two people.

The freshest ice cream around. It is always creamy and soft, never frost bitten. Amazing flavor choices and generous servings. You get two scoops in the smallest size!

  • Christina L.

came here on a hot summer day for the $2 for 2 scoops tuesdays! :) they don't let you sample flavors since it's only $1 and they allow you to just get 1 scoop for $1. banana graham - i already came in knowing that i wanted to try this since it's been talked about all over it's yelps page. i am usually not a fan of any banana flavored foods just because the flavor can be overbearing. this flavor has got me wanting to come back for more! the banana is definitely subtle and not overwhelming at all and the little crunchy pieces of graham crackers leads this ice cream to its perfection :). i', not a fan of marshmallows but i didn't even taste the marshmallows inside the ice cream. after about half way through.. the ice cream did get a little too sweet for me. definitely give this a try! it's only $1 on tuesdays :) forgot the name! sorry :( - vanilla ice cream, oreos, chocolate chips and caramel. my friend got this and i wasn't a fan of it. it was way too sweet! i did love the little oreo crumbs that were in it but they could definitely add a little more! (no such thing as too much oreos). they need to ease down on the caramel just a tad bit. after one bite i was done with it because it was too sweet for my taste buds. definitely want to come back to try the other flavors!

We have been waiting for this place to open since we saw them building it. Tonight we brought in the family and gave it a go. I must say this ice cream is THE BEST. Way better than Coldstone or Baskin Robbins!! You can taste the love and quality in each bite. Had a chance to speak with the owner who was a very nice gentleman. I was complementing the picture of Grandma Pucci on the wall...such a great photo. He told us that his grandma always made nothing but quality products and that was his goal as well. I can definitely say that they are living up to Grandma Pucci's work! I cannot wait to tell my friends and family about this place, and to try all the other flavors. The flavors I had tonight were Gorillaz in the Mist, Carmel Malt and Smore's. All of them were so tasty! I also tasted all of my husbands flavors, Raspberry, Black Cherry, and Blueberry...each bite has so much flavor!! I seriously can say nothing but good things about our experience. I left a tip because I think the service was great and the product was worth it. Well done guys. And good luck in your business future!!
