It is very unassuming and we came for breakfast. When I saw that it was a Mexican restaurant I sort of balked, since I was looking for breakfast. But the waiter was very nice and accommodating; they have items not necessarily Mexican. My breakfast was great. I had a mushroom, spinach and avocado omelette, but I bet everything is as good. Real home cooking and reasonably priced. In the center of town and pleasant place to walk around. I highly recommend the Cambria Cafe.

After an amazing morning at Hearst Castle, my girlfriend and I wanted to grab a bite to eat before heading back to the Bay Area. It had just started pouring rain so we ducked back into Cambria and wait it out. We remembered seeing a cafe from the night before that looked really interesting but only open during the day, and were excited to see that the lights were on. It felt great to get out of the rain. I'm a sucker for country fried steak so I need to try it wherever I go. Cambria Cafe's version is certainly unique in the sense that it isn't breaded before it's fried. Despite this, it was delicious and much thicker than usual which is a huge plus. The gravy is served on the side along with their yummy biscuits, and their hashbrowns are nice and crispy. Service was friendly and quick, and we were welcomed in despite arriving near closing time. I love the small town feel of this cafe, and it really made me feel at home. This is definitely one of the better places to eat in town and I'd highly recommend anybody stopping through to come by for a bite. Too bad they're not open for dinner, but otherwise it's awesome! Food: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Price: $$ Atmosphere: 7/10

Best steak omelette I've had. So happy we ate here instead of the more popular places on yelp. Great service also

Nice little stop along the Cambria Main Street. This place was a surprise. The outside looked questionable, the inside questionable at best. But the food did surprise. The hubs and I both ordered Mexican food. I, the taco salad. Hubs, 2 tacos. Chips on the side. Very good. Despite the lackluster decor this place serves a worthwhile meal. Process are appropriate, definitely won't break any bank. Water comes in hand grenade size water bottles. Damn drought. Good little stop in a great little town.

Very slow, not friendly and food was okay. Over charged and didn't rectify. Rude at the end.

We were visiting the area and stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is nice and the menu is good. I wasn't very impressed with the service. I had two tacos which were tasty. My husband had fish and chips. There weren't great but not the worst ever. Given the number of eateries in Cambria, I'm not sure I would return here. I think I would try a different place next time.

Wow. Best taco salad and one of top ten clam chowders we have had in our (just north of 65) lives. Out with 2 glasses of wine and (reasonably generous and well deserved) tip for just over $30. Wow.

Restaurant was clean, service was great and breakfast was delicious. Small family run restaurant with that extra caring in their service. Highly recommended!!

Great local restaurant with home cooking quality food and warm hospitable service. Kids friendly and very reasonable plates prices.

Stopped by for quick lunch. This place seems to have an identity crisis, the menu highlights Mexican food, but also has burgers and sandwiches. I went for what seemed to be their strength, ordering tortilla soup and a Chile reanollo. No chips and salsa to start. Soup was good not great and the reanollo was OK. Bet the locals don't eat there.

A quiet place for a hearty breakfast! Leisurely is the ticket here but super friendly. Place is homey. Food is delicious! The Oatmeal was served with chopped Apple and Raisins. One scrambled egg was more like two. The poached egg was perfect and served with a spoon. Potatoes were crispy served with a homemade salsa- need I say more?

Pretty solid food for our spontaneous food venture around town. Ordered the chorizo con huevos and it was pretty legit. Spanish rice was tasty and not generic and the beans were rich and not dry. I'd recommend the place if you're on Main St. and not sure what to eat.

Great service, yummy food, super clean. I know you expect a restaurant to be clean but seriously so many are not. This one was shiny clean! And the food was delicious. Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked. Over medium eggs--perfect. Crunchy hash browns--perfect. Crispy bacon--perfect. Even the English muffin was perfectly toasted! No burnt spots! Hubby had the spinach, mushroom, avocado omelet. Not only was it stuffed, there was a ton of avocado beautifully laid on top. He loved it so much he ordered it two days I a row. I had the oatmeal the second time. It was accompanied by raisins, brown sugar and chopped apples. Delish! Can't wait to go back to Cambria to eat here again! Btw, coffee and service are good too!

  • Rebekah R.

Was pleasantly surprised! It is very difficult to find someone who can cook eggs perfectly. I got the mushroom, avocado Omelet. The egg was perfectly cooked...no brown on the egg. Plus the cheese was perfectly melted on the inside. Potatoes were perfectly crispy. Excellent service and right down town . Very comfortable atmosphere . We will be going again. Next time well try the Mexican food for lunch.

Great food, small cafe and diner fare, the chorizo omelet and huevos chorizo rancheros is incredibly good! Biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak also great. Service is always great and food is yummy!

  • Stephanie J.

Ambience and service were fine, nothing to write home about so I didn't expect much from the food. Boy was I wrong. Best chorizo I've ever had and I'm from Orange County where chorizo is on every breakfast menu. Hash browns were amazing and salsa was out of this world. Even the side of fruit was outstanding - fresh pears, apples, oranges, grapes, melon and blueberries! So much better from the typical honeydew and cantaloupe in most restaurants. The ham was disappointing but everything else more than made up for it.

Stopped by Cambria cafe on my way to camp in Big Sur for a couple of nights. I started with the tortilla soup and had the patty melt for my main. My friend ordered onion rings and a cheeseburger. I dug in immediately and finished my linner in 8 minutes, enjoying every bite more than the last. Then, I continued to scarf down the second half of my friend's cheeseburger. My ravenous & irrate eating behavior resembled that of a hyena. Each bite left me wanting to eat more of the delicious food as if my appetite could not be satiated. Perhaps, my review is biased because my next 5 meals were cooked on a propane burner, but I think not.

We stopped here on our way home from Monterey. Cute place. Friendly staff. Turkey club w/ fries = can't go wrong w/ that. I'm super picky about fries, and they were amazing. Hubby ordered chicken enchilada, and he loved them. =]

Great stop along our way north. The chilaquiles were very good and everything tasted fresh. Eggs and French toast special was prepared with care.

  • Jyoti P.

Had my last and BEST meal in Cambria here this am...those Chilaquiles are too die for! Top notch (plus they had chalula sauce so we could amp up the heat) and yum beans. The service is friendly and the price is reasonable (better portions, price, taste, and nice staff then the more expensive places in the area. If I ever come back, def coming back here, thanks for giving us a good impression on our last day!

A good option for breakfast in Cambria. Good food, quick service, decent prices, and large portions. For breakfast there is a mix of traditional American and Mexican options. I opted for chilaquiles with beans and home fries on the side. The chilaquiles consist of corn chips simmered with green salsa, mixed with scrambled eggs, and topped with cheese and cilantro. Not the best chilaquiles I've ever had but good nonetheless. I'd go back if I was in Cambria again.

  • Christine K.

I came here for breakfast during a weekend getaway to Cambria and words can't describe how phenomenal the food was. But I will still try. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros which included diced potatoes and salsa. My boyfriend ordered Chilequiles with asada. One bite into my dish and I was in heaven! The combination of eggs, beans, salsa and tortillas is everything that I love. My boyfriend's dish was amazing too. I liked that the Chilequiles had a crunchy texture. Even my mango iced tea was incredible. This is a family owned place and we felt immediately at home. The service is quick and we only had to wait 10 minutes for our food to be ready. The prices are very reasonable and the portions were a lot, so much so that I didn't feel a need to have lunch. You know a meal is unforgettable when you are still thinking about it a week later! I can't wait to return here!

Wow....super good breakfast here. Service is excellent in this mom and pop joint. They have traditional breakfast options along with some nice Mexican options. I had the breakfast burrito, which was delicious and quite large. My wife enjoyed the chilaquiles very much. The green sauce was fresh and delightful.

  • Janet S.

Great service and delicious food. The hubbies had traditional American breakfasts and us ladies opted for south-of-the border, Chilaquilles w/ carne asada and chorizo and eggs. The Mexican dishes were great; my chorizo was meaty w/ out the greasy residue that often accompanies it. The chilaquilles were crispy w/ plenty of salsa verde and cheese. The refried beans were also delish, w/ some tender whole beans a part of the mix. I'm jonesing for more right now!

Our fist time at the Cambria Cafe was much better than expected. Eggs Benedict were done perfectly with generous portion size, home fries made with crispy, fresh potatoes, side order of linguica grilled to crispy perfection was on point. And then there were the carnitas. Holy Moley! Best we've ever had....perfectly cooked and served in a generous quesadilla. Friendly service, food served fast and hot....and no tourists!!! We will be back much sooner than we originally thought.

Not a fan. Went here after reading mixed reviews on yelp. I had the Mac Copy sandwich and it was good. The home fries tasted sweet, like they'd been sprinkled with cinnamon. I didn't like them at all and the portion for that side order was very small. My husband got an omelette and had to run to the bathroom the rest of the day. Plus, it was rather pricey....but thats cambria. Friendly service and definitely a local hang out. We listened to a lady behind us complain to the waitress about her dental problems for 30 minutes. Next time we go to Cambria, we will likely stop for a breakfast burrito at the food truck on main. The line there was steady with customers that probably don't share their complaints at the order counter.

They have pretty good food here and I have been here more than once as a result of the food here. The breakfast are something I wish I could eat every morning. Very good really good gravy and biscuits, and the omelets are good also. Everything is fresh and tasty.

I came here while on recent trip to the coast and loved it so much I went back the next day!!! Get the Chile Verde Omelet. All you need to know! Loved loved loved it! Leftovers were lunch both days. My friend got the pancakes one day and the french toast the next. Great portions and would have been enough for two meals as well. Yumm Yumm Yummy!!

Very good breakfast. Spinach and mushroom is very tasty and just the right amount of food. Good hash browns and toast, very filling meal and very tasty. Comes with salsa on the side. Also, service was very good....always had fresh coffee in my cup. I will definitely be going back.

Loved the breakfast menu. We brought our dog and were greeted warmly. We sat outside and received great service. We had a chile & cheese omelet and the avocado, spinach cheese omelet , both were good. Not super cheap but lg portions and worth it. Excellent service. Love it and will return for sure .

I felt a little reluctant giving this a 3-star review, but I wasn't stoked on their two-egg breakfast. The scrambled egg portion seemed more like a single egg. The bacon was really dry. On the flip-side, the french toast was great, and the potatoes were awesome. I would definitely eat here again in my future visits to Cambria only because the service was great, the staff was friendly, and I want to give other items on the menu a try.

My husband and I stopped here for breakfast before heading back home to the valley. The restaurant is very small, and there were several other people eating there, but it was not full. We ordered our food, then waited, and waited, and waited. My husband ordered the English Muffin breakfast sandwich and biscuits with gravy, and I ordered the breakfast burrito. Finally, after a half an hour or so of waiting, the waitress brought over our food. My husband looked down at his plate -- two biscuits with gravy on one plate, and scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon on another plate, which wasn't even close to what he ordered. He told the waitress that it wasn't what he ordered, and she said, "Oh, okay," and took his plate back. He ate the biscuits, and waited another fifteen minutes, and the waitress brought over what was an obviously thrown together English muffin sandwich. He said the scrambled eggs were cold, and the slice of cheese on it was not even melted, but just cold on the sandwich. I felt bad for him, because my breakfast burrito was delicious. The waitress never came by to refill our drinks, and never once asked us if our food was good or if we needed anything else. Also, the orange juice was not cold. It was a pretty disappointing experience. My breakfast was good, but I gave this place two stars because of the service and because my husband had a terrible breakfast.

If you are staying nearby, Cambria Cafe is a good, affordable, simple, laid back family owned option. I stopped in hoping to grab some clam chowder but it was pricey for a small bowl (but it is a spanish restaurant, so i guess it's not really a soup place) I opted to get a breakfast burrito to go. And it was great!

    (3)
  • Stephen D.

Great little place! Family owned, which is nice, prompt and quick service, portions were decent sized and prices were fair. I recommend trying this place if you happen to be in the area!

Good Mexican food, well... I'd say it's more a Mexican/American blend. You can order a burger with fries, American sandwiches, soups and salads too. I had a veggie burger with fries and my wife had chilaquiles. My burger was good, fries were good too but they looked like the bulk Costco brand fries that come frozen and precut. They were fried perfectly but were over salted. The chilaquiles came in a hefty portion and tasted good but not any better. My wife was disappointed they weren't spicy, she's use to my mom's which are pretty spicy without losing flavor. I reminded her it's not fair to compare any restaurant to my moms cooking and she came to realize that the chilaquiles weren't bad they just weren't what she expected. That said the price was great on all the food and the staff was very friendly. It really has that home feel to it. When were back in Cambria I'm sure we'd give them another chance.

I was really impressed by this place! I ordered a burrito supreme with the green sauce and was blown away by how much food it was! The sauce had a great flavor and the rest of the ingredients were fresh and delicious! I was surprised to see my lettuce, tomato, sr cream, etc...all outside the tortilla but once I started eating it didn't matter! My husband got the regular burrito and was very pleased with his meal! Very inexpensive meal, around $20 bucks for the both of us (chips and salsa are extra) and we were full long after we left!

I had a pretty amazing experience at this place. The food was SOOOO GOOD. Maybe I loved it so much because every other restaurant I've been to in Cambria over the years has been SO BAD!!!!! I was pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I ordered tons of food and the portions were huge. I think the trick is to order Mexican food and Mexican breakfasts (oh but the French Toast was pretty awesome and the home fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy!). The owner was incredibly kind and helpful and the place had a great local and family vibe to it. Had it not been freezing I would have eaten on the super cute little patio looking out on the super quaint downtown street. I ordered a bowl of fresh fruit, and it really was fresh seasonal fruit! (I have an issue with breakfast restaurants serving canned gross fruit or just honeydew melon or under-ripe fruit) I also had a mimosa and it was super yummy (Odwalla OJ maybe?) and my bottomless coffee hit the spot. Go here! Eat something Mexican and you will be happy like me : ) I'm happy I finally know where I can get good food next time I'm in town. FINALLY! P.S. I worked at breakfast restaurants for years and I feel I can be judgmental on breakfast. I also am not easily impressed by the big breakfast meal in general so when I'm impressed it really means something. So there!

While living in Cambria, this was probably one of the places we ate at the most. They are reasonably priced, and consistently good. It is definitely a cafe, so don't expect fancy ambiance. or gourmet. It's a good family restaurant. Better than most in Cambria. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and close at 3pm. The menu is a good mix of Mexican and American food.

    (4)
  • Jordan M.

I don't understand why people like this place. Food is mediocre at best, coffee is week, and the service is just okay. Scrambled eggs were fake yellow, chilaquiles were bland and boring, and I've had better pancakes at Denny's. The reviewers who wrote that they liked the chilaquiles here obviously don't have good Mexican food in their towns.

    (1)
  • Lance C.

Just happened to be there. They were open. What the heck, give it a try. When the food arrived in those little plastic baskets I thought "Uh oh" and I was wrong. I had a something Cubano and I tell you, that thing was great. Ham, turkey, peppers, avocados, who knows what but the dang thing was tasty and huge. The group of eight that I was with all had something different but all gave hearty thumbs up. Even the two vegans liked it. This, a burger and meat sandwich place, and they liked it! That's because the service was great. They went out of their way to make us welcome and they got everything right. Yes, I know it's not Haute Cuisine or fine dining. So what? It was great. That's what matters.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!!!!! I checked in here really excited to try the food since the reviews are pretty good. Well needless to say this place wasn't good at all. The Mexican food they serve was seriously lacking any sort of flavor. I ordered two tacos one of ground beef and other of carne asada. I wasn't even sure if the ground beef was ground beef. The meat seemed to have been cooked with no seasoning. My tacos barely had any cilantro or onion on them. The food was bland and gross. NOTHING like the pictures I seen on here. Their "salsa" wasn't authentic. Now what made me upset the most was when we were going to pay our tab. Now mind you that it was five adults and one 3 year old child. I didn't order a plate nor a drink for my son because he never finishes his own meals so we always share with him. Anyways, the lady decided to charge us a 15% tip because we had a "large group"! We asked her why and she said it was policy yet nothing was mentioned and I didn't see anything on the menu. Honestly these people are thieves.

Visiting Cambria and needed to find a place to eat lunch. This wasn't a bad place to eat. I got the 2 crispy chicken tacos plate. The shell was unlike any crispy taco I've had before. It was made out of flour instead of corn and reminded me of like a baked chip. Not a bad shell, but found it a little weird because of personal preference. I like the greasiest and deep fried shells. The actual chicken was pretty flavorful and well seasoned. The lettuce didn't really stay in the shell that well. It also came with rice and beans which were good. Ordered water. It came in a small disposable Dixie cup. Had to go out of my way to ask for a refill. Otherwise the staff is friendly and small staffed.

Food was mediocre, nothing special. A mandatory "tip" was added to our bill and was never informed upon us. So, an extra $13 was taken from my account, keeping in mind it was only five of us eating. Unsatisfactory...

We stopped by Cambria on our way to the Hearst Castle. We yelped this restaurant and decided to give this place a try. I ordered a chicken tamale and my husband ordered a soft and hard shell chicken taco. We liked our food and thought it was of good quality. Our waitress was good and friendly. The restaurant was pretty empty when we first arrived.

Love this place for a great mexican breakfast. The green chili omelette is absolutely fantastic. The pork is seasoned to perfection and melts in your mouth. The sauce is deliciously prepared. You will want to shovel this in but hold back and enjoy! Awesome fresh squeezed orange juice. The service is very attentive and the restaurant is older but extremely clean. Kitchen is really clean too. You can stand outside and look through the window and watch them preparing the food. If you're visiting Cambria and need a recommendation for a place to eat breakfast this is the place.

The Cabria Cafe was excellent. The service was impeccable and friendly. It was by far the best food we had between Monterey and Los Angeles. The food was all homemade. The coffee was great. The orange juice was fresh squeezed on site. The biscuits were freshly made. The green chili omelet was the best I've ever had, by far. The price was extremely reasonable. A full breakfast was about $10-12 per adult. There is also a full kids menu at discounted prices.

Absolutely the BEST omelette's on the central coast!!! The service is fantastic and they really want to get your meal right. I like my omelette's super thin, like a crape; I asked for it this way once and they have never forgot! Not only is it crape-like it's perfect - they cook all the inside ingredients so good before they put them inside the omelette it makes my mouth water just thinking about it!! Best tip I can give anyone is to try this place - especially if you like good food!!

The nice folks at Cambria Cafe offered to host an after-hours private party for our large group in late November. The sweet lady who runs the place purchased flowers and balloons for us and set up the restaurant to handle our crazy clan of kids, young adults, mid-life adults and aging adults. The young kids had a table of their own (which they loved) and the rest of us shared a long table which was festive and fun. It made a huge difference to have the run of the restaurant as we ranged in ages 5 to 85 - we didn't disturb anyone and we weren't stuck in some side-room of a restaurant. The three people (I'm sorry I don't have their names, but I shared a photo) who took care of us were kind and super-attentive! The food? YUM! Great Mexican food, good sandwiches, excellent kid stuff...basically, a wide range of really good food served up with a special kindness. Honestly, we ate out quite a few times in Cambria and I'm happy to say that the folks at CC serve great food, earnestly prepared and in a manner that aims to please. Move over Black Cat...my friends at Cambria Cafe deliver a different style of food/experience, but are serious about their customer's dining experience. F-I-V-E ridiculous stars for the wonderful people at Cambria Cafe! Seriously, their food could be shitty (it's not) and I'd still love them for their warmth and generosity. Shout out: Chili Verde plate was AMAZING!!! Tacos - quite nice. Nachos - oh yeah! Club sandwich - a Cambria Cafe specialty! My only regret? Not ordering "Breakfast for dinner!"

The best home cooking away from home..we will eat here everytime we visit. We had the pork chop homestyle special with a short stack of pancakes and a machaca breakfast with country style potatoes to substitute the rice. All of it was so delicious!

We were in Cambria over the Memorial Weekend and stopped in to have lunch. OMG! I cannot say enough great things about the Mexican food in this place! It is undoubtedly the best I have ever had - very authentic, tasty, great salsa, great portions! We had the carnitas enchiladas and shredded beef taco plates - delicious - I would drive from Anaheim just to eat here again!

Good place for breakfast!! Small, cozy, with quick service. Delicious fresh orange juice, highly recommend. Solid breakfast options, my eggs were cooked perfectly, great thick cut bacon, tasty home potatoes, fluffy pancakes, can't ask for anything more!Restrooms are nice and clean, friendly staff, clean tables and seating outside if you prefer. I would definitely go back next time I'm in the area!

We stopped here for a late brekkie. We randomly picked this place, because it had a sign saying it served breakfast/mexican food. At the end of the meal the waiter brought us the check for $22 and some change. Nice! I gave him my credit card, he brings back the receipt for me to sign and he added 2 dollars to it! My husband was not happy and we took some of our tip away! That's pretty shady. Probably thought we wouldn't notice. The food is average to poor. My dish was average, the hubby's dish was poor. He ordered fish and chips. It looked and tasted like frozen food you buy at the supermarket. I ordered the chilaquiles. They used canned refried beans. Now I'll eat those at home, but not at a restaurant that says it has Mexican food. It made me realize how spoiled I am from L.A. Mexican food. I may look like a gringa, but I don't eat like one! The lack of Latinos walking around in Cambria may be an indication as to why the food tasted like...... That having been said, the service was fast, and the staff was friendly except for that overcharge...

Very small-town, very cute. The food was not spectacular, but it got the job done. I loved the old photos on the walls!

We stopped on a rainy morning on our way back to LA from a weekend with seals and publishers. We were greeted warmly and quickly had coffee and iced tea in front of us. We ordered chilaquiles and a chicken tamale. They were delicious. the tamale was good with just the right amount of massa. Some places have what seems to be the merest afterthough of meat in the middle. This was a balance of coating and chicken. The sauce was spicy, but not burning. Flavorful. On the the chilaquiles. Who can argue with nachos for breakfast? The green sauce had a tasty piquant and the beans complimented them well. Our host was friendly and very helpful. Go, eat, enjoy.

We had a late breakfast here and the food was great! I had the breakfast with the pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon. All were yummy. I got a clue how good the cafe was when I noticed that all of the local retired military guys were in the back shooting stories around. I asked them what the best lower priced place was to eat in town, and they unhesitatingly agreed it was... The Cambria Cafe. Eat there, get full.

We loved the place. My husband ordered a carnitas omelet. I had a chicken tamale and a chili reano (sp?). My husband not only finished his, but most of mine as well! Some of the best, most authentic Mexican food I have had. Don't come for the ambiance. Very coffee-shopish. But clean. Staff is very nice. Coffee was just fine, but I can see if you are used to over priced fue-fue coffee, you might not like it.

For being in a tourist environment, this has a surprisingly down home feel. The service and food were very good and the prices not bad. The wife and my meals were great. The only caveat for mine, is that I like the pancakes fluffier... there was just some density factor that would have been better for me. I'd for sure come back to try more of their menu.

Stopped here for lunch during a short getaway to the central coast. Great food, we ordered the chile colorado and carne asada tacos. Both were excellent, as was the salsa. The restaurant was clean, we were seated right away, and the drink refills plentiful.

Hard to find a nicer breakfast around this area. Consistent food quality, pleasant wait staff, large cups of coffee. The breakfast potatoes are just right, not over-cooked, not greasy, not over-seasoned. Crispy on the surface, tender in the middle. Ambience gets maybe 3 stars, but since the staff is helpful and attentive, and the food is top-notch, it gets a full 5.

Agree with Tom W's comments I gave it 4 stars because of the family owned/operated vibe, supported by locals and the breakfast of Huevos Rancheros and Eggs Benedict was well prepared. However if you're look for ambiance, a view or trendiness, look elsewhere. I will definitely go back.

Great place to stop for breakfast or lunch in Cambria. It worked perfectly since two of us wanted breakfast and one was ready for lunch. Service was attentive and friendly and the food was well-prepared and reasonably priced. Of the breakfast entrees, the omelette was full of linquica, sausage and ham and the potatoes were browned just right. The lunch entree was an ample portion of chicken fajitas with beans, rice and tortillas. Everything tasted very fresh. All orders came with a delicious fresh salsa with just the right amount of heat. This is a great, unpretentious, reasonably priced local spot that we'll definitely hit up again when visiting the area.

Our first stop in Cambria. A nice home grown place - a real MOM and pop shop. I believe Nanyeli's kids are the wait staff and cashier. And they seemed like great kids too. My sister and I opted for the "fine mexican cuisine" - carne asada nachos and chicken tacos - and it was ok, very cheesy. It was a "good enough" stop after driving 4 hours from SF and heading to the wonder that is Heasrt Castle.

This is my favorite breakfast stop in Cambria anytime I've driving through. It may not look like much but the food is very home cooked and the staff is very friendly. Family owned this place is definately a locals fav! Spanish omelette is excellent!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
