High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Cholesterol

If you have high cholesterol, then you must avoid eating sandwiches, wraps, and tacos at Applebee's. While the salads and soups sound healthy, you must skip the Fiesta Chopped Salad and Loaded Potato Soup at Applebee's. It is also advised to dodge the Three Cheese Chicken Penne and Chicken Fajita Rollup. Any main meal with over 100mg cholesterol is not idle for someone with high cholesterol. So, skip those items at Applebee's.

The customer service is great, and everything is reasonably priced. I LOVE the Spinach and Artichoke dip! My girlfriends and I usually do the 2 for $20, and I am always happy with the Three-Cheese Chicken Penne. The Berry Sangria is also great!

To be serious, I was completely disgusted... There was a roach on the table...we left before ordering... I would expect an apology from management, but they might be busy spraying Raid in the kitchen...

First impressions are lasting impressions and Stacie at the bar made our first experience at Applebee's fantastic that I would totally go back again! I honestly haven't seen a more friendly, on-top on her work area/station and customers like Stacie before. From the moment, we sat down we were greeted and offered drinks while we look at the menu. Our drinks were made extremely well and timely. It was so nice to actually sit at the bar and not have to flag down the bartender for refills or food. We ordered from the pub/bar snack section and got the pot stickers, pub pretzel w/ beer-cheese dip, boneless Asian style chicken wings and tortilla soup. The soup was to die for, it was so flavorful with nice big chucks of vegetables and the beer-cheese dip for the pretzels...I could of bathed myself in that sauce it was so good. I was just eating it by itself after the pretzels were finished. All awhile drinking and eating, Stacie was cleaning up the bar, helping out others while still maintaining great customer service. Regulars were coming in and she knew what they wanted and they all were happy to see her working. I was quite impressed with her happy attitude and service, that I actually had to write about her in my review. Most reviews, I don't mention names but Stacie definitely deserves the credit! This location was very clean with great sports décor on all the walls (a HUGE Dodger tribute) and TVs situated around the bar with all different sports shows on. I hope the Applebee's by our house has the great service that we received at this location because I will definitely have to try it out.

Meal portions are a lot smaller then other restaurants, and nothing really stood out for me. My wife ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and she said it was average. I ordered the sirloin steak with shrimp, and it decent but overpriced for the portion that you get. Real skimpy on the sides that comes with it. The triple chocolate meltdown was good, if I were to come back here in future it might be for desert.

I called in an order to Applebee's arrived at the time I was told and waited in my car. The young lady who brought my food out to me was wonderful and pleasant but our interaction is the only thing positive I can say.. I had ordered a mushroom Swiss Burger which was tiny and tasteless. I suppose I should've paid attention to the review on here that warned of that but I didn't. For $13 I would expect to be able to see some mushrooms and some Swiss on the burger perhaps even lettuce and tomato on the side and some seasoning on it. I will never ever go to Applebee's again and strongly advise against it.

Let's face it: the food isn't too great here. Long ago, Applebee's had a big cut of steak, something like 18 or 20 ounces for under $18. Nowadays, it's a joke to order a steak. Moving on, this review is for their Happy Hour and their bar area. All I can comment on are the drinks, which are the same everywhere. The "Brewtus" is relatively cheap, and house drinks are middle of the road as far as alcohol content. Long Beach iced tea is on the HH menu, nice! UNFORTUNATELY, wings were not on the 1/2 off LATE NIGHT HH menu when I went. I think I remember the bartender saying that they don't have appetizer deals on the late night menu. I was appalled!! Even though this is within a stone's-throw from me, I won't be back until they have my wings half off late at night!

Stopped at applebees to have a couple of drinks and grab a quick bite to eat. The plan changed quickly after watching Bartender Jenny pick up a napkin that someone had blew their nose in and she immediately began cutting lemons and place them in drinks. To make matters worse jenny and the male bartender continually took money and continued to cut lemons and grab other fruits and place them indide drinks. Making matters worse the male bartender did not know if applebees sold veggie Burger had to ask manager if they sold veggie burgers once he received the answer I asked if I could substitute a veggie patty for a meat patty and I was told no I could not subsitute. I asked the bartender if he could ask the manager which he did and returned stating you can subsitute the veggie patty at the same time jenny was washing bar glasses and holding the glasses against her body and also carrying glasses in her arms. The food arrived and the fries were cold and tasted as if they were cooked in old oil after being told that fries were cold they were replaced with hot fries that were cooked in old oil the 3 way cheese pasta was horrid l say save your money and go to burger king. Thez manager on duty never spoke to customers or asked how was the food. Don't stop and eat here save your time and money.

Love the place since its been opened. THe bartenders are great and fast. Always tip. Love how the bar is in the middle. I don't know if that's how all of them are. Food is alright that's why only 3 stars.

Very nice service here. They really go out of their way to ensure your dinning experience is nice. I had a tasty turkey sandwich that has ample amount of fresh turkey on ciabatta bread. Our orders came out hot, timely and to our expectation. Waitress kept the tea coming to my table. Good job Applebee's in training your staff.

The staff is awesome like always but WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE? It used to be my favorite spot for the appetizers but now with their new menu everything has down sized and they changed their classic wings recipe for the worst!! We had a soup, an order of their "new and improved wings" an order of their new small portioned green bean crispers, and their new brisket (gelatinous textured meat) nachos all for a $30+++. I was so displeased. NEVER AGAIN!! I wanted an order of onion rings but they are no longer allowed to sell them by themselves??!! What happened Applebee's? Two loyal customers lost.

The service was good manage greeted us. But I got food posining. We got the 2 for 24 steaks. My husband I had to leave work early because the food posining was so bad I'm in unbearable pain because your chefs dont know how to properly prepare a dish. I will never return to an apple bees in my life. I'm beyond upset. Your dealing with people and there health.

Love having lunch here. I work nearby. Lunch Specials have very reasonable pricing. The 2 for $20 no longer includes dessert like before :( Staff is very attentive and it makes me tend to tip more because of all their effort. My lunch was ready in under 5 minutes!

I've been to this location a few times for happy hour and I really enjoy their drinks and appetizers! Lalo one of the bartenders is very friendly and attentive! I enjoy the bahama mama its very tasty and reasonably prized! Definitely recommend this location its not overly crowded like other Applebee's.

Really enjoy earring here with my kids. Sure, it's a chain restaurant but they do a great job making you feel at home. Robbie kept stooping by to check in and Kamden provided incredible service - great job, fellas. Btw, the food is consistently good here, too. Healthy opens for both the adults and kids. Highly recommend the Mandarin queso chicken - actually healthier than it sounds, especially when paired with a salad.

Well, you have to give one star at least for the food. Cooked well.. Really great apps! However, the service was absolutely horrible! First my fiancé's soda needed a refill and so as being a server myself I put his glass at the end of our table so it was visible. It was ignored not only by our server Jenny but also by the manager... Who brought us our food. We saw our server twice during the whole hr and half that we were there. The hostess was also quite rude in clarifying why we were not allowed to sit at a booth even though there were booths open and they were not busy at all. Also when we were ready to leave, we have to wait at least 10mins before getting our check and then almost 20mins with our server assisting other tables first and glancing in our direction too. She bluntly all our polite hints so my fiancé got up and gave her the check at the station. We have had great service at other Applebee's like the one on Valley and Grand but the service was terrible. Stay away if you want to be ignored.

Typically we avoid any Applebees location because my boyfriend grew up in the Midwest and "The only thing we had in my town was an Applebees and a bowling alley". But then I got a gift card for my birthday so we decided to go in for lunch. We have since been back three other times. We love this location! The staff is always efficient but friendly and you can't beat the lunch specials. We mostly go for lunch but have stopped in for happy hour before. The bar is in the center of the restaurant and is a round bar so the bar tender is always on top of the tables. The decor is different then most locations! No cluttered tacky unicorn statues in this establishment! Thank goodness. It's mostly pictures of local sports teams and buildings. It's actually really neat. Our favorite bar tender is Stacie! She gets everything done with a smile and we have even seen her help take food to other servers' tables so she's a team player and we like that too. Our favorite servers are Ashley and Tamara, not anything against the other staff or anything but those three are the only ones to serve us so far! If you don't like the San Dimas location I would definitely check this location out.

This is one of thr best applebees. The sound system rocks and the service is fast and friendly. The food is always good. Order the 2 for 20 ribs w mashed potatoes or nspa portabelo chicken. Its all yummy. The upbeat vibe and happy atmosphere is contagious.

I never leave reviews, but after my experience tonight i had to! To start off the waitress was lousy! Didn't greet us well, and forgot to bring us plates and ranch for our appetizer. Then our drinks needed refill and she was no where to be seen. Just awful! Then we keep searching for someone to assist us, but no one was at reach! It was disappointing! To end it all we were practically neglected customers. Find somewhere else to eat because lets face it this customer service will upset your stomach!

This is a newer Applebee's, and it's conveniently located close to Citrus College and the Haugh Performing Arts Theatre. We came in for lunch before a concert at Haugh, and received very good service, and the food was decent too! I had the chicken portebello mushroom plate, some mozzarella sticks, and mango iced tea. Compared to the Appelebee's in my neck of the woods, this one is way better.

Free wi-fi. Full bar A bar to sit at, but not a bar atmosphere. Mediocre food. But a WIDE variety of it. Big menu. Happy hour every day to 6pm A late night happy hour that starts at 9pm I think. Sums up to A-Ok. Happy hour ends at 6. Too early. Can't make it in time. BUT happy hour is every day! so that can be handy on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Even though I can't say I really enjoy the environment. There's a bar, but it sits smack in the center of their upscale Denny's style family environment. So you can see all the kids and their parents and the soccer teams around the perimeter and hope they can't hear your crude jokes or stories of your last sexual escapade while you swill down your libations with your buddies. Wells are $3.50 and they give me my Fizzy Screw as a well drink which I appreciate, so it can work when I'm in the mood.

Came here with the Fam on a Sunday evening. Was initially impressed with the generous portions my kids received with their meals.... But then realized it was due to the fact that my Fiesta Chicken Salad ($10) looked more like a side salad, as I was done with it in about 8 bites. Weak.

If I could give no stars, I would. This Applebee's is by far the most inconsistent place I've ever been to. First I ask for an American Mule and my bartender (Erick) says, "How do you make that? Let me look it up." I kindly remind him that it's on their current menu. As he looks on his phone for the recipe, he keeps telling the girls next to me how hungover he is and how he doesn't even know how he's functioning. Professional, right? Then he asks me for my license, which I show him. A couple days ago my expired license was accepted here because I'm almost 25 years old, and today Erick decides to tell me it's not acceptable. Which is understandable, but one day I'm allowed to order a drink with an expired license, and the next day I am rejected? At least be consistent with your policies. The bartender doesn't even ask my friend for his ID and serves him two drinks with no problem. Maybe things are different when your a man? Who knows.

(review based on 3.5 stars) Came here last night to grab a bite to eat for dinner with my husband. We were immediately acknowledged when we came in and were seated at a booth (nice to be asked if we wanted to sit at a table or booth). This place was not busy or crowded so I am not exactly sure why my husband and I ended up waiting 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us. Anyways, Applebee's currently has this new "Take Two" seasonal menu where you can pick any 2 items (only can pick out of 4 items though) for $11.99 per person. My husband and I both decided to do that. My husband's 2 item meal came out before mine. Then a minute later, a 2 item meal came to our table but it wasn't the 2 choices I ordered. Our server, Eddie, apologized and said he put in the order wrong and so he had to reorder my item. I waited another 10 or 13 minutes. Then my 2 item meal came. But after that arrived, another minute later, another 2 item meal (the same 2 items I picked) came to our table... so there seemed to have been a few hiccups with the ordering. But anyways, this is what we had: Blacken Sirloin with the Lemon Shrimp Fettuccine- My husband though the sirloin was good and liked the potatoes that came with this item. But did not like the ragu sauce and thought it did not taste well together with the potatoes and sirloin. He liked the lemon shrimp fettuccine but thought it was too oily and salty. This dish also came with a small garlic bread piece and he thought that tasted okay. Seasonal Berry & Spinach Salad with the Garlic Rosemary Chicken Pasta- I requested for my salad dressing to be on the side, which I am glad I did because I didn't think the vinaigrette dressing was very flavorful. It was too light to really taste any flavor to be honest. Anyways, I liked the strawberry slices and blueberries in the salad, but just wished there would a be a little more. The chicken pasta was a little disappointing to me. I liked how my husband's fettuccine was made with whatever ingredients they added to it, but I did think his fettuccine was a bit on the oily and salty side. The chicken pasta had nice bits of asparagus pieces, which was nice and I like the pieces of grilled chicken. But this pasta was also a bit too oily and salty for me. I liked the little garlic bread that came with my dish. Overall, thought our meals were okay. My husband thought the portions were a bit on the small side, but I thought they were just right for one person. Remember, it takes about 30 minutes for your mind to register that you are full, so eat s-l-o-w-l-y.... In a word, I thought our dinning experience was just average (thus 3 stars) at best. The service left much to be desired and the food was not spectacular but it wasn't bad either. By the way, this place is located in the same plaza as Fresh & Easy, CVS, 99 Cent Store & Ross. There is plenty of parking, but you might not get a parking spot right next to the restaurant.

3 stars for two reasons: During the hours of about 9:30p and before then waitresses are doing their job and bringing out your food at a decent hour. Beware going after 9:30 or slightly before closing for food. I don't care what time you close, wait and attend to tables like you just clocked in. Its good customer service. If you read this and don't care waiting on your waitresses rather then them waiting on you then take this review as you wish. If your looking to get drinks, ive never gone here for them but they look like they attend to the bar fairly.

Only got one star cuz zero was not an option. Got a beer on a dirty glass with a nasty hoochie a food and lipstick all over it, orders a snake bite and got a almost full mess of canned Guinness and what tasted like apple cider vinegar. If that's not fucked enough, I had to buy two cuz they popes two cans, so the second one was made from the remnants of the two cans and it didn't even fill the pint glass they brought it in. WE WONT BE BACK! Fuck this place! SPEND YOUR MONEY WHERE THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND WASH THE DISHES. GO TO ANY OTHER APPLEBEES IN THE S.G.V. Nasty ass bullshit! .....DIS I MENTION IT COST 17 bucks do drink from a dirty glass?!?!???

This applebees is always clean and friendly. I went here on a date, and we ordered the two for twenty. I had the asian salad and he had steak. Our waitress was really fast and made sure we were satisfied with our meal. Our food came relatively quickly and everything tasted delicious. I was very satisfied with my meal. I will continue to keep coming back to this applebees again and again.

Went here for my mom's birthday the other day. Nothing bad about it at all, but it's extremely rare I rate a low-end chain restaurant higher than a 3. Had the BLT + chicken caesar for lunch, decent portions. Free dessert for my mom's birthday was super small and obviously costed them nothing. Typical American chain restaurant.

I am a fan of this applebee's and prefer to go and support my local applebee's then go to another one. the food is great. steaks are cooked as ordered and servers ask you to cut into the steak to make sure it's cooked to your liking. one night my mom ordered a steak and the server pulled out a diagram with steak coloration according to how it's cooked and i was definitely a fan of this efficiency. the servers are always really nice, polite and efficient. whenever possible, i always ask to sit in suzana's section because she's such a great server. i also appreciate the management here because they always ask how you're doing and are always helping their crew out. my favorite thing about this location is that they accept applebee's coupons, even if they're only valid toward another franchise''s applebee's. so if you live close to this location and receive coupons for other locations, go ahead and bring to be honored here. my only complaint is that they need to broadcast the ufc fights like the walnut location... if they start doing this then this will be changed to a 5-star rating =).

We have been here a few times and have never been truly satisfied. Tonight we ordered carside to go and our food sucked. My boyfriend got the riblets and said it tasted like beef jerky with BBQ sauce on it. When we called to order we were on hold over 5 minutes before someone answered a second time and had to transfer us to the car side to go person again. Overall this place isn't worth the money. San dimas applebees is almost always perfect. I don't know why this place misses the mark 9/10 times but next time I'll be sure to take the extra 10 minutes and go to san dimas.

Food was good. Ordered an oriental chicken salad. Salad was yummy. Was disappointed that Applebee's does not have a Cobb salad, nor are they able to create one for you. Main reason for 4 stars is their really good happy hour prices for drinks as well as 1/2 price appetizers. This place is decent, but not anything spectacular.

We've been here a couple times and I while I realize what to expect by selecting Applebees for dinner, we still expect a pleasant experience. We selected the bar for dinner and a drink or two. The food is mediocre and that is to be expected. After ordering dinner for two each dish arrived 5 minutes apart. The interesting and annoying method of delivering the food consists of walking around the bar announcing the dish and waiting for a customer to claim it...FAIL Our bartender for the evening was Drew. Drew is attentive and friendly. Halfway through dinner Erick took over behind the bar. Here's a tip for future visitors...pay attention ladies - Erick will comp all your drinks! Some of them he wont even punch into the system so keep that in mind...a low cut top with a push up bra and drinks are free! I contemplated complaining to the manager, but he was busy staring at the breasts at the bar and I didn't want to interrupt him. We paid our check, left a 20% tip (hopefully Drew gets it) and we wont be back. I shouldn't hate though, after all it's not my loss...It's Applebees. They can continue to give away free drinks and I'll take my cash elsewhere.

Never had a problem here. The service is fast and friendly. This is the only Applebees I will go to, their food tastes like actual food rather than other Applebees I've been too. It can get packed but they are very accommodating. Best happy hour around! Usually meet up here once a week for drinks and bar food. 3-5 and 9-closing EVERYDAY! There's a different drink special everyday (Friday is $5 Martinis, my favorite special). Always a good time here!

This location is very convenient for lunch while I'm at work. The service is usually very good. The waiters and managers are very attentive and check on how things are going throughout the meal. They're very helpful and the food pretty good with generous portions.

Great service from Stephanie our waitress! She was awesome. Our 2 for $25 half rack ribs and chicken Portebello mushroom and salads were so good. I washed it down with a very yummy Long Beach iced tea and finished our meal with Cinnamon Pretzels and Chocolate sundae shooter! Loved the ambiance and music and service! We'll be back again!

Oh well, i have to admit that Ive been looking forward to trying this restaurant out in a while. So here is how I feel about our lunch today First, the service was not as good as those waitresses pretended to be. There were like only few tables seated, yet, in my opinion, most customers didn't get service (e.g. my friends and I). I think those waitress probaly jus want to talk to each other instead of serve customers, because I have seen at least 4 waitress happily talked to each other, and put all the hungry customers on hold... Second, I ordered margarita queso chicken n shrimp rice which turned out not so bad comparing with my friends' food. However, the rice was still little undercooked even after 30 mins waiting and so was the shrimp. So my friends ordered lunch combo which included MOZZARELLA STICKS, BOURBON STREET STEAK, and DOUBLE CRUNCH SHRIMP. I tried some when they were complaining about the salty steak and the shrimp which tasted like deep fried flour. I so agreed with them. the medium cooked steak was obviously over cooked and too salty, and their MOZZARELLA STICKS jus tasted like fried cheese without any flavor at all. so the shrimp, i was like omg what I am eating????? Third, like I said, even though there were at most 6 tables seated, our drinks did not get refilled not even once, I had waited at least 20 mins for my goddamn lemon for water, and the first dish came out 30 mins later after we ordered our food... Last, our check came so fast. It's like when we jus got our entrees, the bill was already on our table. Bye applebee's, I probably will never come back unless I get treated. lol

Just opened Pleasant atmosphere... with more happy enthused employees then patrons.. Sat us by the window.. Next to the street... Actually at street level... I felt a little uncomfortable there... Because a car could drive through the window easily And wipe out my little skull... Next time... I'll sit on other side.. Love the freshness of a new place... Today was their Grand Opening... Sooooo... I feel like I was very special... To be a part of this festive activity.. I got the New York Steak,,, and it came out just perfect.. with a good half a bottle of A-1 Sauce... All over my potatoes too and of course A-1 on my brocoli... The manager came by and spoke with us.. and asked what brought us here... I told him my truck...and he laughed.. But we all had a great time... On the first day of opening.. Happy employees with happy new jobs... Right across from Azusa Pacific and Citrus colleges..

One star for HORRIBLE customer service. Was there today. We were a total group of 6. But since the very beginning when only 3 of us were there the service was awful. We had to ask multiple times for utensils, for our drinks to be refilled and plates for our appetizers. It wasn't busy at all especially for lunch time (12:30-2:00) but it was a mission to flag down an employee. Once we FINALLY ordered, the waitress got it mostly all wrong, deserts too. Then the bill omg. We had told our waitress from the beginning that we wanted separate checks but that was a mess once they came..The food and drinks themselves were tasty, no complaints there. Just the service. Awful awful. Will not be back until they shape up!

Went to the movies and here afterwards. The menu is large. Ordered a house salad which was a way better than average house salad, a Cesar salad, chicken mex, chicken with mushrooms and drinks. Food was ok and drinks were average. Good that it is open til late as there aren't many places open after 9.

My husband and I stopped by on Grand Opening day (Monday, August 8). We have been waiting for this Applebee's to open for a while. We had the option to wait to be seated, which would have been about a 20 min. wait, but we decided to sit at the bar. We ordered a Newcastle and Blue Moon and decided to order a few appetizers (Nachos & Boneless Buffalo Wings). The nachos were a generous size and the wings were AWESOME! The bartender asked if we wanted another round of beer before Happy Hour was over. We had no idea it was happy hour! Nachos $4.00; Wings: $4.00 and Newcastle & Blue Moon $4.00 each! AWESOME HAPPY HOUR! Everyday 5pm-7pm and 10pm- Close! Can't beat that deal. We will be back!

Wow if i could give 0 stars i would. First of all got seated no one showed up for at all to greet us or to grab our drink order. They werent even busy either. Waited 10 minutes we just left passed by 2 employes just standing around by the podium chit chatting (getting paid..maybe i need to change my career). If we stayed i could just imagine what kind of service we wouldve got. This was the 3rd time i was there thinking i would be better and its never been smooth. Will never go back to this location.

I've seen a lot of really negative reviews, and that's ok, but our experiences have been great. It may be that our waiter was really excellent (Tyler), but the food was very tasty for the price. I know this is a chain, but I think they are doing a good job, at least I have been back twice in two weeks. After having been gone for two weeks, the waiter remembered us and remembered what we had ordered to drink last time. I cannot remember that happening before after only one prior visit. Try the appetizer trio ... we had steak quesadillas (2 pieces), wonton tacos (3), and cheeseburger sliders (2) for $12.99. For the entrees we had blackened sirloin and garlicky green beans and the parmesan steak and shrimp. The steaks were cooked exactly right and tasted good. We also enjoyed a pitcher of shock top with orange slices. On a previous visit we tried the chocolate lava cake and apple chimi desserts and liked them a lot. This is good food in a relaxed, welcoming environment that isn't a dive. This is the Applebee's in Azusa which is, surprisingly, rocking it out in my opinion.

So me and my boyfriend went to celebrate his birthday. His choice try some place new. So we went here. We get there, seated quick, we had a waiter not waitress. I went to the restroom but I asked my boyfriend to get me a lemonade. Came out it was there.. Cool. So we weren't ready to order, he comes back a couple mins later.. And took our order. And that was the last time he checked up on us. Some girl walked in that everyone seem to know, probably a worker going on her day off or something. Well got mozzarella sticks but a waitress brought them.. Our food was ready but a waitress brought out food too. Bf got a burger, I got some club turkey thing. I'm the type of person that at least gets 1 refill. So half way to my meal I have no lemonade. I'm looking and he's talking to the girl that everyone knew in there. Talked to her thru out our entire meal! I was pissed, he would walk by and nothin! He was cocky apparently showing off that he's gotten around 2000 in gift card sales that they are suppose to ask if not we get a free dessert next time. What also annoyed me was that he would check on the table right next to us then he would go whisper something to that girl like of he was talking crap. But he was sooooo nice when he saw the tip the ladies left him. I got good eyes for shit people especially cuz I work at a restaurant myself. Anyway I was annoyed and just wanted to leave. Left 2.34 as a tip. Sorry dude but next time inform us if your gonna take a freaken break. I'm a good tipper cuz I know how much a tip can mean. Oh and u owe us a dessert. You didn't ask us about the gift card. Too bad we won't be goin back. Beware!!

After the embarrassing ordeal we had to go through today, I will never attend this Applebee's again. Not only is their service just terrible, but the food is just as terrible. The few times I've been there, I've gotten cold, tasteless food that I had to wait an hour for. And to top it off, my younger sister was having lunch with her father and accidentally spilled some of her drink on her leg. Her dad wiped it off and according to the manager she "looked" uncomfortable. Instead of asking her if everything was ok, she immediately called the police. When they arrived they pulled her father aside and questioned her AT THE TABLE. After everything was cleared up, and that NOTHING was wrong, management didn't even bother to apologize for the mistake they made. Therefore, I will never recommend this location to anyone unless you want cold food and terrible service.

You really can't go wrong going to Applebee's. It's reasonably priced, and the food is good. Today I got the usual White Peach Sangria which is exquisite. Mozzarella sticks as an appetizer which were good, and as an entree I ordered the Blackened Penne Pasta. Which was a little too seasoned for my palette, but tasty nonetheless. My brother ordered a 9oz sirloin steak with double fries, which he was raving about. My Grandpa ordered a burger which he said was delicious. What really made my experience today unforgettable was the waitress. She was amazing! Best waitress I've had in a very long time.

Ok, so I am usually a very positive rater but this experience was pretty bad. I know they just opened BUT some of the issues we had tonight were not because they were new. My bf and I went for happy hour and were first seated in the regular section, then told we needed to go sit in the bar if we wanted happy hour prices.. ok cool. Then I asked if they had a specific salad I usually get at applebees but didnt see it on this menu, and our waitress said "if its not on the menu we dont have it". She kept asking us about drinks so my bf asked her about beer prices and she tells us she will get back to us (seems like something you should know if you work in the bar). Then he asked her what premium beers they had, and she literally says "the ones that aren't domestic". WOW! We were both trying not to laugh! Service was terrible, food was not great. Bf got nachos and they had the weirdest taste, we finally realized it was because the chips were burnt. I settled for the Shrimp and Spinach salad and was kind of grossed out by how my shrimp was lukewarm(hot or cold please!). We were able to laugh about our experience, but we decided we will most definitely be headed to San Dimas if we want Applebees anytime soon. I realize its a new place, but you have to compensate for bad service... if things are going to be slow, throw in a free drink or discount and definitely don't hire ditsy waiters/waitressses with additude. At least try to keep customers happy... because we definitely weren't. :(

Everytime I've gone to this Applebee's, whether it is a weekday afternoon or a weekend night, the service is slow and the food is subpar. The wait staff are friendly and nice, but they are either understaffed or super slow. I have had to send food back twice, once because my salad was moldy. Every other Applebee's I've been to has been worth the drive to avoid this one.

So, I didn't actually eat here. I had eaten a hour before so I wasn't hungry but I was meeting up with some friends here, but I'm glad I ate before because this would've been one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. First, when we got there it was maybe half way full of people. It's lunchtime on a Thursday so it's about what i'd expect. We get seated, we order, and wait 45 MINUTES for any food to come out! As we're waiting, we're looking around and we can tell that everyone's been waiting for their food too. We were about to leave when we finally see our waitress. I was there with three other people, and this is what they got: One Tilapia dish with a 7 inch long hair right on top of it, a burger with an eyelash on the bottom of it, and stone cold pasta with bloody steaks pieces. I was so glad I didn't get anything but water because I wouldn't thrown up if I found a hair on my fish. Once we told the manager what happened, she gave us a new fish and comped that dish. They recooked the steak strips and our third friend didn't report the burger because it was half eaten by the time she found it and didn't want to get her food spit on. Wow, just wow. I will never come here again.

We were very disappointed in the service. Very Slow. Waited for menus, drinks and a server. Then when the martinis we ordered came to us half full watered down we made the decision never to return. At $10 a pop times 4 you would think that there would be some kind of alcohol. The food was hot, I give the cook credit for that. But the amount for the money not so good. Sorry Applebees you have failed.

Love this new location. We were seated immediately even driving the lunch hour rush. Waitress came by quick to ask for our drink order and to see what brought us in today...lol. Our appetizer came out quick and piping hot! The decor inside is nice...pics of the old drive in..some local school team pics...very cool!

The 9oz steak is a delectable treat. I got it with onion rings, mashed potatoes and spinach dip for the appetizer. All for only $10! (we did the 2 for $20) I love the food but the prices are what makes it worthy of the fifth star. I'll definitely be coming back.

I wanted to wait before i wrote a review: I go with my husband and kids once a week and my girlfriend and i go every Thursday night. The management team is great..gm's Andrew, Steve and Felix make sure we are completely taken care of....The bar area where we sit for the happy hour prices is well staffed and cater to our every need. Peyton, Dani, Andrew and Anthony in the bar area are always pleasant, stop to say hello and make sure we get in all our specials before 7pm. Becuase there are things I can't eat, the staff works with me to make my dining out experience as close to normal as possible....That in itself tells you how much they care about it's customers satisfaction...Well done Azusa in working to bring a this type of restraunt to the area...!!!!

  • Rick B.

Sorry but never even got served. The 3 appetizer special is so firm on its items (can't have onion rings) the manager would rather let you walk out than have 2 of the items and substitut onion rings for the third. Heck I know I only would have gotten 3 or 4 at the most anyway. Seems to me a little to much corporate rigidity with the menu that the mgr can't even substitute, so she said.

First time here. I have to admit, I was surprised that their sirloin steak was actually pretty good! It was soft and flavorful. The service was fast too. The managers were active on the floor. Keep this up and you might make it here. Azusa needed a place like this!

i'm always here for work lunches and they're great. the food is alright, like any other chain restaurant. they did get my order completely wrong once and it was compensated for. it wasn't a terrible experience and i still go there so it's not too bad.

Applebees... it is definitely a great addition to the city of Azusa! I love how each and every Applebees has a unique decor according to its located city... which gives it a homey feel to it. The food and service is good, I love to get the 2 for 20 deal, which offers one appetizer and two entrees.

Ate here last weekend. Food was excellent. I had the steak and garlic and herb shrimp from their low-cal menu. Service was a bit off, though. The waitress kept coming back every couple of minutes, which got to be a bit disrupting. But it's better than being ignored. When they brought my steak, they wanted me to cut into it to make sure it was cooked properly. They asked this from others as well. Being a new location, I guess they still had some bugs to work out.

I'm not a fan of "crap on the wall" chain restaurants. To me Chilli's and Applebee's are the same damn restaurant. With that being said It was probably 3 years since I step foot in an Applebee's. Being that it was Sunday the wife and I decided to go out to eat. We jumped in the car with no destination really just looking for a place to eat. We ended up here and I am glad we did. This place is about a year old, and I was surprised at the level of service this place has. The server was very attentive and polite. If I put a plate to be taken away it was taken from the first server or manager that walked by. That to me means a lot. As far as food goes it was another surprise. The Shrimp and Parmesan Sirloin Steak was EXCELLENT. Perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious. I was beyond shocked at the quality of this cut. Usually these types of places cook your steak wrong and the quality is never there, but they surprised the hell out of us. Eating good the neighborhood. They got that right! I will be coming back more often. I don't hand out 5 stars often, but here it goes...

Shrimp and parmesagn steak was wonderfully tender and juicy. Baked potato wasn't quite done so she brought me a new one. The salad was a nice mixture of fresh produce. Service was promt and polite.
