Sure, we live in a city where we're so over the "chain restaurants," but this is one chain I'm not over. I really only come here for the late night HAPPY HOUR and the four stars are strictly for the delicous mini pizzas. After 10pm. they are $5 instead of the regular $10

As chain restaurants go, this is a better than most. Beer is good and the menu's not bad :)

Came here for Valentine's Day at around 7 and the place was crazy busy. The wait was an hour and a half but better than the 2hrs at Olive Garden. A lot of people didnt show up so our wait was more like an hour. Our waitress's name was Lydia and she ruined my dinner date, along with the lack of quality in the food. Lydia was the type of waitress that made you feel bad for asking for anything extra and i dont really appreciate that when your expecting a tip. She gave me attitude when i didnt like the watered down iced tea and asked for less ice next time. When i asked for lemon she actually slammed them down on the table, b/c she had more stuff for the next table. i was truly appalled by this and couldnt believe this just happen. My boyfriend's medium well steak was OVER DONE and BURNT and his mash potatoes were thick and dry. He didnt even eat half of it. My pasta limone was just ok. BJ's is famous for its pizookis so we couldnt leave without having one. So over the awful customer service, we decided to order it to go and Lydia had the nerve to make us feel bad about our decision. She said " the one you ordered is already out of the oven, so you're going to have to wait another 10 minutes for another since you changed your mind. is that alright?" we got our red velvet pizooki, which was way TOO sweet, and left. She did not get a good tip and ruined my dining experience. It's not my fault you got stuck working Valentine's Day, so dont take it out on paying customers. I like BJ's but this location was definately lacking in customer service and food quality.

Here for happy hour .... Must try their beers and the sliders.... !

I do not suggest eating at the bar itself....it is a logistical nightmare. Other than that...the fish and chips and my salad were great.. They have a killer selection of beer on tap. Great bar atmosphere..... I'm not a big sports guy but all my co- workers were really into watching the games on their many t.v.s

I will never go to this restaurant again. I regrettably ate a bacon cheddar burger recently at this particular BJs. I woke up the next morning and started throwing up. But this wasn't any ordinary puking. The smell of my vomit was so disgusting that I had to flush my toilet many times. I was served one nasty burger. Before this happened to me, I had gone to this restaurant maybe twice and my experiences were bad as well. The "pazookie" they serve tastes fine when you're eating. Upon burping, you get this sick taste in your mouth that's perhaps comparable to the taste of eating $hit. Please don't go to this restaurant.

I want you guys to understand that this is a 5 star review specifically because the sliders are great and they're only $5.50 during happy hour and the mini-pizza's are $5 during happy hour. If you only order those two things during happy hour BJ's is AMAZING.

A little pricey, but great overall. The pizza is the best and maybe only Chicago-style in town. The other options are surprisingly good. If you have room, the Bazooka is the #1 desert option in town. The beer selection is top-notch. There is always a wonderful seasonal microbrew and they even carry some Belgians in bottles. The service is good and the atmosphere is casual. My only gripe is that there aren't enough high-quality TV's for the sports fan in me. It is a cool place to watch the UCLA game though.

Cold - COLD- C O L D beer. That seems all I can remember by now. Some how I think I can remember myself doing a dance on some type of dance video game. I also think I remember a warm and crusty bread stick. The beer is cold. My nephew seemed to have a good time though. I enjoyed the beer. Lots of beer.

Restaurant was very close to hotel we were staying at - within walking distance. We were seated very quickly, no wait. Our waiter was a bit over zealous while we were trying to decide on our dinner. Beer was OK. Food was alright, a little bland for my tasting.

Who's got two thumbs, spikey hair, and loves Bj's? THIS GUY DOES!!!! The best dish here is the blackened chicken potato. You could chuck it at someone's head and give them a concussion--They're that massive! The pazookies are great, if it's your birthday--they'll give you one for free. Let's just say it's my birthday every time I come here. ;-) Now, the beer! They brew their own. The Tatanka, hands down the best around, yes, even better than GB's. Try the sampler beer platter. They bring out several mini glasses of all their brands for you to taste. That's a prerequisite when coming here. The ciders are also pretty tasty. Now in the words of my boy Quentin Tarantino, "Is that a tasty beverage, or is that tasty beverage!"

I have been to Chicago and no part of this restaurant is close to being a Chicago pizzeria. Food is decent by chain restaurant standards, but you'll feel it in the morning. Beer gets a good nod though.

Literally located few steps away from my office. Great for lunch cos my friends and I always get the usual...1/2 sandwich and salad, which is only 6 bucks. They do have house beer specials, which is $3 and happy hour specials are good too. We did enjoy this place during the World Cup! Parking is a hit and miss cos of the other restaurants around and the Auto Club next door but just drive around and you'll find one...just don't take my parking space. Lol.

The food is really good here but the one time I came here I was not happy about the service. For one our waiter came up but seemed rushed. It was empty in the restaurant so I was baffled but got over it. A few minutes later he brings appetizer and then introduces us to our new waiter since I guess it's his break time. The new waiter was really freindly and only tasked with bringing our order out. So he brings our food but noticably missing is my entree. I waited and nibbled off the appetizers thinking it was just taking longer to cook the non pizza stuff. Finally when he came to check up I knew something was wrong. I asked about my entree and he said Oh let me go check if it's ready, he then comes back and says oh it was never put in,I'm sorry..would you still like it. I mean HELLO,I was so shocked but wasn't starving because there was a mini pizza&appetizers still to eat off of. So I just said yes because I was looking forward to it. It came out but I really feel like he should've asked when he brought the food the first time if everything was here. Idk,if I come to this one again I will be watch them very closely. The food was all hot&good but that snafu really annoyed me!

Food was ok. Server didn't get the order correct. Not sure why they don't write the order down! They always mess our order up here. I guess the customer should go directly in the back to speak to the chef personally. They weren't even that busy.

This place is usually packed with families and and kids/grown ups that are stopping in for a bite to eat after catching an outdoors, local sporting event. There's several flat screen TV monitors located in and near the bar to catch the latest sporting events. My family has dined at this location many, many times. My oldest always orders the small cheese pizza and BBQ chicken sandwich and savors every bite. My youngest usually has the small pepperoni pizza and usually takes home leftovers. My hubby usually orders the vegetarian type pizza and we share an order of the southwest avocado rolls. The rolls are served warm and are an excellent combination with the sweet tasting dipping sauce that it comes with. Recently I tried BJ's cobb salad where I should have ordered it WITHOUT turkey. The turkey didn't look like it was freshly prepared, it was in cube-sized portions. I had extra bacon added on my salad. My salad was so tasty that I didn't have any leftovers. My hubby had a similar salad which was prepared with Atlantic Salmon. BJ's will always be a place where our family can go for a good meal. One note of caution, since BJ's caters to large groups and has a bar in the center of the restaurant -- the noise level is very high during dinner time. BJ's isn't the eatery to go to for an intimate, quiet dinner.

Excellent customer service, atmosphere superb and food menu seemingly standard American restaurant fare. Food is delicious! We has the Derek'S meatloaf sandwich, giant baked potato with pale ale chili, and bleu cheese wedge. All excellent. Brewery menu was great. Enjoyed having porter for breakfast :).

My gf had a birthday dinner recently at BJ's with 8 guests. It was a Saturday night with no reservations so our wait time of 45 minutes was expected. This is where the night took a turn for the worst. Our waiter Marcos C #895 seemed to be too busy to attend to our table and we had to constantly remind him of things we asked for. The worst part is that at the end of the night he would not split the check for the individual people even though we have done it many times in the past at that particular restaurant and with even more people. Everyone paid with cash and I with card with specific instructions to charge $32 to the only card that was presented for our party. We paid and left. When I get home I get a notification from my bank that $132 was charged and on top of that am additional $32 was charged to my card that night. We called immediately and spoke to the manager. He said we would have to wait until the following Tuesday to receive a refund. It is almost a week after that and I still have yet to see any credit to my account. Bottom line is that their employees are careless and do not even mention that they over charged you and charged you twice on top of that. I was most upset that I had to be surprised by the bank and no word from the waiter that made the mistake. Diners beware with your cards at BJ's.

Mini pizzas are ok...not great just ok. Mine was actually cold. We only got a third of our order. Service was slow but they cleaned our table and brought the check real fast. Business was slow though so they have no excuse. Sad really.

I went here for my birthday which was on a Friday night so there was a bit of a line. I decided to get the California grilled chicken with steak fries since I was feeling like a sandwich and it looked good on the menu. I asked for no Chipotle mayonaise since I'm not a fan of mayo. We decided to get drinks so I got the porter which is a heavy dark beer. After a little while we received our food and the food looked great. The sandwich was good but I think there was some chipotle mayo in there and decided not to give a fuss. Overall the food is pretty good here and I usually get the nachos when I'm drinking. I wouldn't recommend watching a big sports game here because the TV's arent big enough. The reason I say that is because you may get seated a bit further from the tv and then its hard to see. They brew their own root beer which is pretty good too

If I were to rate their food only it'd be a 5 stars. But since these types of restaurants are a bit pricey I took off one star lol. First time I got a pizza with chicken and mushrooms as toppings. It was probably the best pizza I've ever had but very expensive. I tried the pizookie and thought it wasn't as great as everyone says. Second time I ordered their bbq pulled pork sandwich and it was really deliciouuus! The last time I got the best things appetizer platter and shared it with 2 others. It was good but I wish I was more hungry. I like the avocado rolls the best.

Waiter! There's a fly in my salad. No - seriously! The last two times I came to this BJs, I wound up getting sick. Which is sad, because at one time, this was one of my favorite restaurants. Let me just say that the quality of the beers they brew and serve here is great - though I'm not so sure they actually brew on the premises at this location. Still, the variety of BJ's beers and the quality has remained consistent for as long as I can remember. And that, first and foremost, is the reason why I started coming here in the first place. But the food...well. Now that's a whole 'nother story. At one time, the menu was good and solid. The food had variety and, more importantly, flavor. Flavor in food is a good thing. Really. But in the years that I've frequented this location, the menu has been changed at least three times, and with each change, the offerings have become bland and tasteless more and more. The last two times I ate here I got sick to my stomach. I'm not sure that it was food poisoning - and I'm pretty sure you KNOW when you have food poisoning - but let's just say that the food didn't sit well with me. The first time I had a bowl of tomato-basil pasta. The sauce was the most tasteless concoction I'd ever had. Even a generous layer of powdered and chalky Parmesan cheese didn't help. Thank goodness for the Piranha Pale Ale I washed it down with. I can't remember the last meal I had there because I was traumatized by the dead fly found in my friend's salad, made worse by the lackluster response from our waiter, and fact that it took 15 minutes for the manager on duty to come over and offer his apologies. He also offered us a round of drinks, which considering the circumstances, seemed like the right thing to do. We didn't learn until later that when he offered "to get us ladies a round of drinks," he meant it literally - that he would go and get them from the bar and bring them to the table. We still had to pay for them. Thankfully my friend whose food had the fly in it was not charged for her bad experience. Whatever I had that night made me all barfy the next day as well. If I go to this BJs again, it will be for the beer.

Food is always yummy-especially the avocado eggrolls! my only complaint was the rude waiter who serviced us at the bar area.He wasnt very attentive and acted like a total jerk. Other than that, the rest of the staff seems very friendly and the food/drinks are a-ok.

Their pizookies are off the chain!!!!!!! I think the chocolate chip one is waaay better than the macadamia nut one... it's dry and not as tasty! Their bloody marys are soooo good!!!!!!!!!! they have hoegaarden!!!! Their food is pretty good (nothing ultra amazing, except the pizookie) and they have pretty good service. There are a bunch of tv's around so you can watch the game, even if you aren't sitting at the bar.

BJ's is great for happy hour, but the only reason I used to frequent this place on a regular basis was because of it's chocolate pizza-cookie. Oh-my-goodness, this thing is GREAT. It's a huge, warm pizza shaped cookie with delicious vanilla bean ice cream on top. It's to die for, really. Oh yah, and I really like their beer and beer tastings. You can get something like 6 tastings (from dark to light beer) for a relatively cheap price and share it with your friends.

This is one my regular happy hour spots. I do enjoy the whole brewhouse/restaurant market when it's done right. BJ's beers are great, though not spectacular when compared to other craft beers. However, their seasonal beers are something to talk about. I've tried all of their SOCAL offerings and have enjoyed them every time the season comes around. I wish that I lived near one of their actual brewing locations as the beer is fresher. The BJ's in Arcadia is nice and quiet. Its got everything you need for a good happy hour: cheap prices for beer and food, large televisions, lots of parking, friendly bartenders, no large crowds, and quick service. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a decent place for happy hour with friends. Cheers.

I've lost count to how many times i've been to this BJ's. Main reason being i work at the Olive Garden next door. Hungry after work? walk next door to BJ's for there happy hour on weekdays. 2 bucks off apps and half off mini pizza's. I love there Avocado rolls, Thai Shrimp Lettuce Wraps, and Ahi Poke especially after a long day of work. I enjoy there Baked Beignet, more so then the pizookies, i find the texture of the pizookies to be too gooey but that could just be a personal preference.

  • Karolein W.

The food has been consistently good here. The pizza is really, really good. I'm giving it 4 stars because it tends to be noisy, not a place you can have a conversation unless you're in the very corner behind a wall. We'd go much more often if we could talk to each other over dinner, but I suspect the noise level fluctuates a great deal depending on the night of the week, the time of day, etc.

The food is fantastic, the servings are large, the menu is large, and the service is awesome. Someone tell me they have had the oreo cookie pazookie? Need I say more? Its a pizza restaurant, but everything they have is as equally good as the pizza, if not better. I suggest the baked potatoes (which are huge!!) The BBQ chicken pizza or the wedge salad. Yum Yum Yum. The only downfall, is the bar can get a little rowdy and loud.

    (4)
  • CF L.

They have the best pizza in my opinion along with pizooki for dessert. You also have to get the taster so you can try out their selection of beer. Decent price and good service from the few times I've been there so I would definitely recommend it.

Your basic American brewery restaurant. Food is reliably decent and the service at this particular location has always been good. It gets very crowded at the expected times, noonish and 7ish. Otherwise, seating isn't a problem. I always order potato skins. They're crispy without being dry. And, they're covered in about 2 lbs. of cheese. Also, they have great onion rings.

BJ's serves my favorite desert from a restaurant: Pizookie. Nothing like a moist chocolate chunk cookie right from the oven topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Delicious!

I hate the fact that I love a chain restaurant so much...and I constantly try new places but I end up coming back here at least once a week. Let me just add that I only eat/drink at the bar and only during happy hour. Service is always attentive and the drinks are always delicious!

I go there w/a big crowd of co-workers all the time...food & alcohol is always good-but yup, about 75% of the time we're not satisfied w/our waiter...i gues they have to much on their hands 2 handle cuz we wait 4evr 2 grab their attention & wen we finaly do..they rush off & come back & fulfil our request about a min 2 late..then rush off again! Lol..they need 2 hire more staff for those busy days.

it was around 1030 pm when we decided we should go get some grub. the tv was on the food network. there was something on about BBQ, which made us crave bbq. So, we drove over to woodranch in the santa anita mall but they close at 10pm. damn! so we drive over to tony roma's. they were closed too. we ended up at BJ's (yay for staying open until late on weeknights). thank goodness we did. their ribs are bomb! the sauce is not too sweet, not to sour. this is coming from someone who usually avoids bbq. wait, that makes me a bad judge? ok, well my papi chulo was licking his fingers, and he likes bbq. our server was great. gave us our extra cheese and green onion for our baked potato, kept our glasses full, gave us our extra plates so we could share the full rack of ribs, and was overall a cool guy. ...now you know about the bbq

OK I am so VERY disappointed with BJ's and I am specifically talking about the Arcadia, CA location. I called in an order at about 2:15PM for a pizza and some pasta. The girl on the phone said it would be ready in 15 min. We get to the curbside parking at about 2:40 and call the number on the sign. The guy that answered was named Ross and he asked for the color and make of my car and said someone would be right out. Kid you not we sat there for 15+ min and no one ever came out. So we left and no one from the restaurant even called us to see what happened! Horrible JOB BJ's!

  • Patricia J.

I love this place!!! I have eaten here for years and NEVER been disappointed with my meal. Some favorites: avocado egg rolls, sante fe salad, any pizza but spinach artichoke is especially good. I am also a big fan of their beers.. Jeremiah Red is my favorite.

  • Lindsay L.

In general, I think all BJ's are pretty good with consistency and taste. Although I must admit the pizza is very doughy and lacks sauce, it is neverthless very good and of course, filling. The Arcadia BJ's is pretty good, although sometimes there's a long line. But that's how ALL BJ's restaurants are if you go during prime hours.

Great service and food! I come here about once a month if not twice. Burgers here are great! The cajun pasta is my personal favorite here. Prices are reasonable and well worth the portion. Don't forget to order their famous pizookie! No dinner at BJ's is complete without a pizookie for desert haha.

We were seated rather quick! We thought it was going to be a long wait because there was a huge group waiting up front and more ppl waiting inside to be seated, but they took us in right away and led us to our table. That was a plus! =) The food is still good like always! The pizza's are so delicious! This time I got the cilantro pesto appetizer pizza! Thin crust European style 10 inch pizza, I ate the whole thing! It was filling, but not too much where I feel stuffed. Soup and salad combos are both good over here too, they have good caesar salads and the claw chawder bread bowl was yummy! The only thing I was not pleased with was the service. Our server was completely rude and was very pushy with us!! He seemed like he was in a hurry get us to order, eat, and out the door! We sat in a booth that is right by the ramp going up and instead of our waiter coming AROUND to serve our plates and silverware, he would reach down over the ramp and put it on our table! I didn't think much of it the first time he did that, but after about 5 or 6 times, I thought it was ridiculous. He almost hit me with the pizza holder when he grabbed...again over the ramp instead of coming around. Didnt even ask if i was done. Threw the bill on the table again OVER the ramp instead of coming around. What a dumb a**..... Tummy was satisfied, not satisfied with our service. We called the manager not to complain, but to let him know our feedback about the service. Manager was understanding and I do hope he speaks with his waters/waitresses about better customer service. So with that, it was a good night with my best girlfriends, good food, bad service, we didnt cause a scene, just a simple call to management and we ended our night on a good note =)

This location is very happening...they're open pretty late on weeknights, I think til 12...and it's a good place to hit up for a drink or if you want to watch a game. The food is good too, I'm just not crazy about deep dish pizza. I always have the pizookie when i come here with the chocolate chip cookie. It seemed smaller to me when I went the last time tho. Their drinks are good too, I had a strawberry daquiri. If your ever bored on a weeknight this is the place to go.

This is a great Happy Hour place! It has it's own brewery and like 7 different beers. I usually get the Blonde or Hef. Happy Hour has mini pizza's half price, and discounted drinks and appitizers. Lots of TV's to show all the sports you need. Big bar section to chill with friends also. The restaurant part is your typical American spot, mostly known for it's Chicago Style Pizza, but they have sandwiches, pasta, and meats. If you go for dinner, spend the extra and have dessert, at least share! They are known for their Pizookie desser, which is a big cookie that they cook and top with ice cream. It sounds real simple, and while it might be, it's soooo good. A great dessert to share. You will always have a good time here.

Bj's is pretty cool. I love their Giant baked potatoes.. hehe... It's soooo yummy!!! my favorite appetizer is actually the Onion strings, but their appetizer menu is pretty big. Let's see, yes, their sandwiches are awesome too... Service is great...but if might be a long wait on weekends.

I've been here to enough to try a bunch of stuff on their menu. The sandwiches and pastas to me are mediocre. What I come here for are the pizzas! I love the deep dish style and I'm usually full after two slices. I recommend the BBQ chicken pizza, potato skins, and sliders. Their pazookies are pretty good too (mainly the white chocolate macademian nut and chocolate chip ones), although a bit on the sweet side. One of the few chain restaurants I enjoy eating at.

the very first time and maybe even the second and third time i went here the place was pretty good but the last probably half a dozen times i've given this particular bj's a go it was absolutely awful. i kept giving them a chance assuming that there was no way that we could get horrible service and cold food that many times. little did i know. the waiters/waitresses were complete jerks, though i've never waited a very long time for my food there it always came out cold. i'm not big on sending my food back just because i've seen far too many movies. other bj's are decent but this one i will never visit again - not a chance in hell.

My daughter loves this place, so we try to go there a few times a month as a treat. The last time we went there, it took FOREVER to get seated. So, since they said that you could "call ahead for priority seating," I decided to do that last night. I called at 6:30 p.m. and tried to make reservations for the two of us for 7:30 p.m., and they told me that they didn't take reservations on a party of less than 9 people. WTF?! They didn't mention that ANYWHERE before, so I thought that was false advertising. Anywho, they told me that even if they put my name on the "list" it would probably take a half hour to get seated when we got there. Things are starting to sound worse, but I sigh *OK* and give him my name . . . like FOUR TIMES. I spelled it out, slowly, phonetically, and he still didn't seem to get it but said he put us on the list anyway. Can you guess what happened next?! We got there and when we told the hostess who we were and that we should be on the list for 7:30 p.m., she looked for our name everywhere and it wasn't there. She asked another guy who worked there if HE had taken our call, and he of course denied it. They asked me the name of the person to whom I'd spoken and of course I didn't remember, so then I looked like a liar. I do NOT think you should have this kind of "priority seating" program if you don't know how to do it right! We ended up leaving and going to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza instead, which was a whole other mess. Not the best night.

Home of the Pizookie! A wonderful cookie baked in a 6 inch pizza tin hot out of the oven with a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. The pizza here is okay. Not the greatest. Their barbecue chicken salad is pretty good. The rest of their food is a bit salty for my taste, but overall nothing stands out.

The food was hot and on point! Their dessert is the bomb! Hot baked cookie comes in a round mini dish pan that is soooo delicious and moist and they add on a couple scoops of ice cream on the slightly baked cookie. If you're craving for some ice cream and cookie, this is definitely what you should get. Customer service has always been great here. Never felt shafted (: This is a great place to grab a nice dinner with family and friends. Great atmosphere. Nice ambiance.

WHO DOESN'T LOVE PAZOOKIE?!? Ice cream on a hot cookie yes please! I am sucker for sweets and pazookie is the perfect combination! BJ's service is a hit or miss, so far i've had it pretty good so i can't complain. I don't like their entres so much cause majority of them are over priced and the meat selections are usually dry. But I do like their appetizers, small bites and burgers. My favorite is the gourmet bacon mac & cheese and fried artichoke! YUMMERS!

4 pm lunch. AHI POKE: small appetizer with 4 sections of 3 chips each and the poke in the middle (with some lettuce and avocado mixed in). The poke is heavy on the ponzu sauce. =/ 9.95 BARBECUE CHICKEN HAND TOSSED PIZZA (shareable): love the pizza, excellent BBQ sauce that didn't overpower the pizza, thin crust and chicken that is not dry. A bit steep with the $19.35 price tag. FISH AND CHIPS: it comes with 4 pieces of fish and thin crispy shoestring fries and some tartar sauce. Fries are good and the fish wasn't too deep fried. $12.95. JALLELUJAH FRIES: pretty much shoestring fries with some seasoning. yummy but gets pretty salty quickly. $2.95 CHOCOLATE CHIP PIZOOKIE (individual size): a more reasonable sized pizookie with vanilla bean ice cream. Eat it before the ice cream hardens the cookie but beware of the hot chocolate chips (it burned my lips). $3.25 The food was decent and yummy, though some seemed a bit overpriced. Great place to cool down and watch a game. Ample parking lot. Our server, Tawney, didn't check up on us too much (our water was down many times due to all the sodium we were consuming), but she took care of us. Great service. Make sure to sign up for the BJ's Premier Rewards program for some pretty sweet deals (our Jallelujah fries and fish and chips were free!).

three words: Salted Caramel Pizookie!! WOW, honestly just wow! If you're like me and LOVE sweet and salty desserts and love pizookies, then you must try the new salted caramel Pizookie!! It is heavenly. The cookie has white and dark chocolate chips, pretzel bites, caramel cookie dough bits, and a big Ghiradelli chocolate square. Then it is topped with 2 scoops of vanilla bean ice cream drizzled with caramel sauce. Also, the lunch specials are ridiculously good and so reasonably priced!

Anytime we're here our experience is nothing but great! Usually we get a table by the bar and avoid having to wait to be seated. My reason for returning here has to be that Jeremiah Red!! Yum! Can't ever go wrong with a Pazookie!!

Haven't had such bad service in a while. Working in the food industry myself takes a lot for me to rate this low because I can understand how tough it can be but not this time. Went in Thursday night with two of my friends. Don't remember our waiters name but she had red hair. Anyway they were clearly fully staffed because the number of waiters/servers was more then the amount of tables taken. She took our order and brought our drinks then food which was fine until we obviously needed refills and she would look at our table and keep walking. She did that about 6 times. My friend had to wave her down. She finally brought us refills and our bill at the same time. That was the only time she checked up on us. We then waited another 30 minutes for her to come back and get the bill. Rather drive the extra 10 minutes to the Monrovia location next time.

This is the worst BJ's Restaurant that I've ever been to.It wasn't busy and it was really late so there was almost no one in the restaurant but for some reason our waiter only came to our table maybe 3 times during the whole entire meal and he left to go get me a refill and didn't come back for another 15 minutes. I asked him for a side of dressing and he didn't return until we're already done with our meal. On top of all that they accidentally spilled something and it splashed on to us and we received almost no apology. The food was still good though.

I've never had bad service from this particular BJ's, but tonight (05/08/14) was different. My friends and I came here with a party of 7 on a Thursday night and it was fairly slow. We were having a simple going away dinner for our friend. Our first server was a very nice gentleman that was pretty good. He only forgot our utensils and only gave them to us after we asked and after all of our plates were in front of us. No biggie :) About midway through dinner, he tells us that his shift is ending and that another person would be helping us out from there. What he didn't tell us was our service was also going out the door with him! It all went downhill from that point... We were never offered one refill for any of our empty drinks. We didn't get checked up on. We asked for the dessert menu and the single menu she eventually brought us took long to come out. After 15-20 minutes, the server still didn't show. Eventually our friend that was going away went to the front desk to ask for the manager to come to our table. She came by and we told her what was going on. She didn't apologize, she didn't offer us anything, and she didn't seem like she wanted to make the situation any better. All she kept saying was "Ok. Ok. Ok." We asked for our checks and she only gave us one pen to use among the 7 of us here... Weirdly, the manager only took a couple of our checks at a time and didn't wait for all of us to put together the money for all of our bills. My friend eventually told the manager that he was upset we were forgotten and that no one apologized for what happened to us. She finally said sorry and she said she "thinks" we got bad service because she "thinks" the girl got too busy... I'm no expert but- oh wait I am- I work in customer service as a manager and that is no excuse. Recognize the spike in business and redirect your employees accordingly. Also, if you were as busy as you said you were, why did we see you casually talking to the host as we're walking out instead of helping your servers? You lying girl. Luckily the balsamic chicken was great as always.

The food is what you expect from a BJ's... OK. There's nothing wrong with "OK" food, but pair that with mediocre service and you end up with a heavy feeling inside made up primarily of regrets (why oh why didn't I just go to Olive Garden next door?). We sat at our table for over 10 minutes with no service at all. A lady and her son sat down at the next table and within 2 minutes the server was asking her about drinks. To which I said "Excuse me, we've been waiting for 10 minutes", the server replies "I'll be right with you". I guess it doesn't matter who is seated first. The rest of the staff brought all the food and checked in on us frequently after that but, once you get off on the wrong foot, it's done. Nothing kills an appetite for OK food faster than aggravation.

This review is for catering service only. Called 7/11/14 to place catering order for 7/20/14. Julian picked up and took my order and I was told all set. Spent half an hour on the phone ordering catering for 40+ people. On 7/20/14, I got a call from BJ saying that they lost my order. Came down to BJ, had lunch, spoke to manager for reordering everything and I wrote everything down and said pick up at 5pm. Here I am at 4:45pm, and the front desk lady can not find my order. Manager came out, I was assured she has my order and the food will be ready by 5pm. 5:15pm now. I am still waiting. Most importantly, 40+ people at my party still waiting. Thank you BJ for screwing everything up.

I feel like I've re-discovered BJ's. I remember them having an extensive pizza and beer menu...they still do. But I see on their menu now they have lunch specials, premium salads and calorie-conscious items such as grilled scallops with brown rice. Lots of big screen tv for all the sports fans. The couple of times I've been to this location, the AC is on full-blast. This last time I was there was around 9pm and the greeters sort of checked out already.

This is our goto restaurant for a fun and informal family night. The atmophere is lively, esp when there is an important game. We watched the Stanley cup final there and the whole restaurant was clapping and cheering together!! No wonder there is always a long wait in this restaurant. Food is alright. We love the deep dish pizza. Our favorite is chicken ranch deep dish. It is very satisfying. We like the ahi poke, and spinach dip to start out. They got a wide range of menu items to choose from. The price is all reasonable. And of course, you got to finish up the meal with a good dessert. Pzookie is always our fav. Just a perfect end to a great meal!!

Back again. Service is still decent. Good is still lacking. This time the chicken lettuce wraps. They weren't bad. They just weren't great. Very average. In fact, it seemed like more filler than chicken. It was also a Smallish happy hour portion, which is fine, but give me less lettuce so I don't notice that it was only enough for 2.5 wraps when you gave me enough lettuce for four. Also had the chocolate ice cream. Nice and cold, but there was also ice in it. Not good. I would order everything I had today again.

Horrible service. Hostess took wrong number in my party, quoted 20 minutes and took 53. Hostess was playing on her cell phone. Food took forever and our waitress seems comfortable enough to sit in everyone's booth and not refill chips. Worst experience at a BJs ever.

I've been here twice for lunch and enjoyed my meal each time. Maahi maahi tacos are very good as well as their ceaser salad and broccoli cheese soup. This is the kind of place you go to and know you will have a good satisfying meal no matter what. Service was very good each time and washrooms are quite clean.

My most recent visit to BJ's at Arcadia yielded a very disappointing experience. BJ's is supposed to be a relatively up scale sport bar/restaurant. The food and service quality should be above average, which make the experience worse. We ordered five dishes including pizzza, spaghetti, sampler and etc. Spaghetti is so soft that I cannot hesitate proclaim that I can even make it better at home. The other dishes are mediocre at the best. When the waiter bought us extra plates. They were still stained with leftover food. I mean, come on, he should have inspect them before handing over to the customer. Definitely not going back again. Not even if the food is free.

Wow!! Expensive !!!! $45 for one pizza and two pizookies !!!! Maybe if the food was really good but paying $45 not including tip was not worth it at all! I can stick to alternatives... Hello Pizza Hut !

I am a HUGE fan of BJ but not this one at ALL. The wait staff was completely OFF. He brought me a cup a coffee and half the cup was in the saucer. Coffee: Ok how can any place mess this up well it was cold, watered down and no one ever asked me if I wanted a refill. Minstone Soup: this was ok Wedge Salad: there was still water in the plate so when they put the dressing everything was watered down. I just felt like this place was dirty the table was dirty when we sat down as well. Over all I don't know if I was there on an off day but I won't be back to this location any time soon!

Food 3 stars Atmosphere 3 stars Service 1 star Some of the staff seem okay, but they need to smile more. I don't go out to put up with unhappy servers and debts that don't remember the orders. I especially don't appreciate excuses when they make mistakes. Just say sorry and do your best to make up for the mistakes. Stop making lame excuses and blame it on your coworkers!! I doubt I'll be coming back!!

Went on a date with my husband and ordered spaghetti with meatballs. When I got my meal there were no meatballs :( The staff was accommodating and ordered up a side of MB but when it came out it was mushy. Although the meatball situation was not so good, I give a 5 star because the manager & waiter were so nice and sincere about my concerns with the dish. They offered solutions & went out of their way to remedy the situation.

I witnessed something yesterday that made me so uncomfortable I felt compelled to share with others so I'm posting on both sites involved, even if nothing ever comes of it. I was dining at BJ's with my family for Easter Sunday (which is another reason I didn't say anything at the time) when all of a sudden the police showed up, I'm assuming to escort a group of young adults out as I had noticed a manager was speaking with them a few minutes before. It seemed like a "0 to 100" type deal as there wasn't anything inherently wrong with that party. I couldn't help but notice that the 2 guys were black and the ladies were Latina's, meanwhile everyone else was white. From what I could overhear the accusation was that they were loud and unruly. I was sitting within earshot and they were neither too loud nor unruly; They were, however, clearly having a good time and last I checked, that is not a crime at a sports bar. They were literally surrounded by middle aged white folk who chose to sit in the bar area next to them. Honestly, I was ashamed of my own people who judged and muscled them out. The situation became painfully uncomfortable when my children asked why this was happening. I couldn't eat another bite and watched the officers (2 head-shaved white men) and BJ's management basically B.S. and belittle the kids until they left. I hope someone out there reading this is in a position to rectify the situation although I highly doubt it. It was disgusting and disheartening in 2015 in California, I felt transported to the Cotton Belt circa 1960.

this is for the happy hour menu we got the flatbread pizza for 4 bucks, had chicken bacon and some white sauce it was really good 9/10 but it was really small but its just 4 bucks so its worth it buffalo wings was 5 bucks i think and it was pretty good, bonelss :( i want bone in! better experience, only had 4 peices!!! whaaat oh well 7/10 we got the calamari...dont ask why 2/10 it was really bad, looked NOTHIGN like the picture, it was dry and did not taste good, the manager happened to walk by our table and asked how it was and we said super bad haha and she took it off our bill quickly so that was nice but i would recomend this place, had a lot of beer on tap, lots of tvs so you can see from basically any seat

I don't come here that often, but I've come twice with my dad in the last month, and I realized how much I love this place. I mean granted it's pizza and beer, but everything I've had has been tasty. Last time we came, the waiter was super friendly and suggested that we do the 2 for 20 deal (which they don't have all the time). You get a soup or salad each, a medium pizza to share, and a pazzoki to share. I think thats a pretty good deal..you have to be part of the premiere club, but that's super easy to sign up. I know it's a little fatty, but the food is good, the service is nice, the wait isn't horrible, and it's good for groups of even just two. P.s. Tons of TVs and they will change the channel if you ask them too (to a sports related event obviously).

Went there for lunch yesterday we sat down 10 to 15 mins later we were asked what we would like to drink, we were ready to order by then. 35 minutes later the waitress comes over to tell us manager will be over shortly. Manger come's over and say's food was still not ready but she would bring it to use right away. Now it has been 45 mins our food comes, my personal pizza looks like a frozen pizza and was cold and the cheese wasn't fully melted. I do not recommend eating at BJ'S on Huntington Ave. Arcadia service and quality of food were horrible. I changed my Star rating after I was contacted by two different managers to make the problem better.

BJs is delicious. My group at work comes here all the time for birthdays or beer during lunch. My only complaint is that every time we come someone's order gets messed up, it's not usually a big deal because everything is good here. Thanks for the consistently good grub!

BJ's tried to cryogenically freeze me. I know this because I asked the waiter if he could turn down the AC not just once, but five times. Each time he said "sure" and each time after I asked, I swear to you, it actually got colder... I think the secret plan was to have a customer for life. They were going to stash me in the freezer and when business was slow, grab my credit card from my frozen body and just ring up a couple of beers. Maybe a pizookie or two... ...but I'm on to you BJs! Next time, I'm bringing a sweater. I don't care if its September and 100 degrees outside. I'll be prepared. On another note, good happy hour after 10 pm. Unfortunately, its in the bar area only, where the polar bears hang out...

I'm just surprised as you are that I'm giving BJ's four stars, but this location has come a long way. I remmeber back in the days, I came here with a group of friends before the Valentine's Formal because Olive Garden was too full. Oh, high school. Anyway, this BJ's has since gone through a nice renevation, complete with flat screen tv's everywhere. They also have delicious beer, delicious drinks, and even the food is not half bad. I like that when you order a salad here, they don't try to skimp on the leafs. I mean, c'mon. Great local place to relax and hangout! I would say it's on par with Yardhouse.

Located right next door to Olive Garden, plenty of parking! Service is always good the times I've been here. Food I tried: Spinach & artichoke dip - can't go wrong with this. Crispy calamari - yummy yelp.com/biz_photos/5YGV… . Chicken potstickers - okay. Buffalo chicken pizza - d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s, would definitely order this again! New orleans jambalaya - yummy yelp.com/biz_photos/5YGV… . Creole tilapia - boyfriend's favorite, pretty good yelp.com/biz_photos/5YGV… . Honey crisp chicken salad - found out I'm not a fan of chopped lettuce drenched with sauce. Santa fe salad - flavorful, prefer this than the honey crisp chicken salad. Red velvet pizookie - my FAVORITE pizookie! Chocolate chunk pizookie - my second favorite, yummy! Peanut butter pizookie - no thank you. I'd come back again for their red velvet pizookie!

Long wait time, expensive pricing, and not so great service. Our server rarely visited us or asked us if we need anything else. And worst of all, my food came out horrible. I ordered the rib eye medium. It came out extremely well done like burnt piece of charcoal and tasted like it as well. I flagged down our server after several attempts and finally got it redone. When it came out the steak was fine but my sides weren't there. Then I had to ask again but the food never came :/ Chinese cafes have better food and service than here.

Never going to this place again. I ordered a build your own pizza - with pineapple and olives. They came back with pepperoni and olives (I'm a vegetarian) so I let them know that I ordered pineapple, not pepperoni. The waiter said sorry and a few minutes later came back with the correct pizza - but it was obvious they had just removed some of the pepperoni and put pineapple on top, for I could see the pepperoni on the bottom. By this time everyone in my party was done eating -_- Needless to say, I was pretty upset. When the manager finally came out with the right pizza, he apologized and said it was free. However nice that is, it doesn't take away the fact that they had attempted to cover up their mistake instead of fix it.

We decided to eat dinner at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse Arcadia after Olive Garden informed us that our wait time would be approximately 40-50 minutes. Lame - that is, the wait time, but also our dining experience here which I'll get to in just a sec... I'll keep this short and sweet & sour: mediocre food (spaghetti with marinara sauce - slightly salty and oversauced), loud ambiance (widescreen TVs blasted sporting events from every angle you turned your head), pricey ($12.95 for a bowl of cooked noodles drenched with pureed tomato sauce), and lousy service.* *Additional Notes On The Lousy Service: Our server, Jerk (ahem, Jason), failed to check on us, failed to refill our drinks, and failed to check his attitude at the door. He appeared hot and bothered when I requested lemon for my water. Maybe he was overworked. Maybe he was tired. Maybe he needs to reconsider his employment options if he's going to make customers feel bad for making reasonable and ordinary requests. Major disappointment.

Greaaat Customer service from start to end ! Everyone was smiling and very polite ... I had a bad experience at the Olive Garden next door to them and thats how I ended up here, which was the best thing my boyfriend and I could've done. FOOD WAS GREAT ! I highly recommend the boneless buffalo wings with ranch , they have the perfect taste and go great with a Blonde Beer... Stuffed mushrooms were very good as well ... Great Customer Service , Great Food and two happy customers that will definitely be going back soon !

Not sure if people work here for the job, or they work here waiting for girls to walk in so they can check them out in a very awkward and obvious way... I mean I didn't even have make-up on... sure my heels were sexy as hell but what does that matter when they make the floors so slippery that you can't walk on them... Wait time 20 min... hostess told us we could wait by the bar grab a drink till they call us.. Why not! Got a seat at the bar... Waiter came by 3 min after we sat asking what we wanted... Told him to give us ONE min, he left and never came back! WELL OK THEN!! 15 min later we get called for our booth!!! Sit.. look at the menu... wait for the waitress who didn't seem to know much about the drink menu. Ordered the new watermelon mojito (she thought its non alcoholic) she came back to check my ID! lol The Bartender (who had spilled his drink earlier cuz he was too busy checking me out) obviously wanted to get us drunk... The drinks were TOOO strong and not very good either! [usually not a bad thing, but I was driving]. Ordered the mozzarella sticks for appetizer, Not so good! Got the avocado egg rolls for dinner and the Sate Fe Salad... Salad came out 10 min before the egg rolls! BOO... Salad wasn't the best, tasted bland... the avocado egg rolls were really good, but the sauce was too watery! Not gonna complain since I love the egg rolls too much... Got a mini Pizookie.. Didn't taste like the Pizookies I've had at other locations.. Not the best... Got the Check before we got our dessert! This is NOT McDonalds, I dont want to pay before I'm done eating... I put the check on the booth right under my purse and the waitress tried to get it out! ''We're not ready to pay yet" GEEZ let me eat the pizookie first! Parking is easy... Food wasn't the best I've had at a Bj's... Service not the best... All male workers are waiting for a girl to walk in so they can stare them down! Awkward!!

Bf and I decided to go try out the BJ's up in the hood of Arcadia since it's fairly new. Saw a good amount of people waiting outside and inside.. already didn't like the look of it..but on we went! Walked inside, and it was pretty tiny! I was expecting it to be big..but meh. We only had to wait about a good 10-15 minutes, not too bad. We got seated on the outer area near the windows, AC on blast! Our waiter James was a pretty cool guy. The first thing he asked me was..are you wearing Daisy Marc Jacobs? I was like ... O.O YES.. First time a dude knew what perfume I was wearing. PROPS JAMES, PROPS! Kind of made things a tad bit awkward, but all gravy. Bf got himself the Blonde Beer, and I tried out their strawberry mojito. Honestly, it was super duper sweet and extra fizzy. Didn't really like it. Bf was craving fried calamari for the longest..and me not liking seafood, I woman-ed up and tried it out. Tasted like chicken! So I can say I like it..because it doesn't really have a distinct seafood-y taste. I ordered the turkey cobb, my fav, and bf got the burger melt which might be my second fave. I actually give them more props for being so quick with the food and service! Our food was out within 10 minutes or so. BJ's up in Torrance has never been that quick. I was pretty surprised. I always ask for no lettuce on my sammiches and hamburgers, and my sammich came with the shredded lettuce. I gave the -__- face, but James noticed it right away. He was gna take it away and have them make a new one, but I didn't want them to go through the trouble. Good waiter. We inhaled our yummy food and we were ready to bizzounce. Our bill totaled up to 48 bucks and some change. 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, and 2 entrees.

Been coming here for years, came here today and got the bartender Charlie... Total jerk!!! We originally wanted to sit at the bar, sat at a high top meanwhile, we eventually got seats at the bar and I asked him if it was ok that we moved because we placed an order previously, he said "sure, what would u like me to do about it?!" After him neglecting us we asked for a menu with attitude hand used over not looking at us...!! Keep in mind we just got here?!! We are paying u an more then happy to tip what's up with the attitude and crappy service??!! Bjs needs to send their employees back to customer service 101

Now I'm not some hoity-toity gourmand. Honestly, I am not overly critical of food. I didn't go to BJs expecting any out of the ordinary cuisine for that type of chain. However, this was so far below standard that it was stupefying. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich (sans tomato), which bore the following description : "Lightly breaded tenderloins of chicken, fried to a crispy golden brown and served on a toasted garlic cheese French roll with honey mustard, green leaf lettuce and sliced tomatoes." Sounds delicious, but that isn't what they brought me. The Roll : NOT a garlic cheese French roll. Plain French roll; forgivable. Honey Mustard : A layer so thin and hard to see that the CSI folks would have a challenge detecting it. Green Leaf Lettuce : Wilted, brown corners. The Chicken : The greatest offense of all. Fried strips, that were so sparse on chicken I had to use my knife to scrap of slivers from inside the layers of their deep fried cage. I tried to choke it down, I really did, but only consumed a quarter of it. I blame the fact that I didn't send it back on my personal shock. I figured the consolation prize would be sharing Cate T.'s whipped potatoes. She and I were mortified when we recognized that they were made from an instant powder. Being the twit I am I allowed them to box my meal. It'll look prettier going into the nearest trash can ? The glorious Coup de grace ? The finishing fracken stoke of genius ?! An hour of vomiting. Oh that technicolor yawn of shame. I have heard that other BJ's are better. Good for them. This bitter old witch doesn't care to know.

I was always biased against BJ's coz the first time I tried it years ago, they screwed up my order and gave me some nasty tasting plain old cheese pizza. Half a decade later, my coworkers decided to go here for lunch I had no choice but to give it a second chance. Came in a party of 6 and was seated in a corner both with a TV on. If my boyfriend was here, he'd love it since he can watch a sports game... but for me and my coworkers... it didn't mean much. Food came out pretty fast... for my coworkers that is. I think they forgot about my order. I think BJ's just has it out against me. Waited a while and then the manager personally came out to give me my jambalaya after we had asked about my order. But.. I guess the jambalaya tasted pretty good, so it was (almost) worth the wait. Portion was huge, I took the leftovers home and it was enough for dinner. Waiter seemed okay to me... but my coworker said he was rude to her (I guess I wasn't paying attention when that happened). So I guess overall, it was a okay experience. Way better than my first at least. Good enough to say I would come back and try some other stuff and maybe their happy hour (I'll just stay away from cheese pizzas).

We have been to BJs about 4 times now. Today was our first lunch visit, a lazy Sunday afternoon. Not too crowded a bit past noon and plenty of parking. There is a large menu of appetizers, salads and main dishes. I am currently on a low carb diet and there were several available selections, I ended up with the chicken lettuce wraps, served with a hot mustard sauce and a light soy type of sauce. Very delicious, however if you do not like hot mustard, stay away from it, it will clear your sinuses! My wife got the breakfast scramble and it was large. Bacon, eggs, cheese, avocado tater tot type potatoes, and toast. She will take about 2/3rds of it for her luch tomorrow. The service was excellent, attentive but not hovering.

Loved my server Kai. He was super friendly, efficient (but didn't rush us) and got the orders perfect. Also loved the new lighter options for lunch specials. I had the 1/2 flatbread pizza with salad ($6.95), so did one of my friends, and my other friend had the tilapia lunch special. That plus a coffee (just as insanely delicious as at other BJ's with a hint of chicory), an iced tea, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream came out to $33. WAY cheaper than I usually drop on a meal. So of course I gave Kai a fatty tip.

Their lunch specials are fairly affordable if you need to go the mega-restaurant chain route. Parking can be a pain if it's a busy day, but lunch is usually tolerable. Service is nice and friendly -- been here a handful of times and haven't had issues yet. Although, I must say, pretty disappointed when I ordered chicken tenders at 12pm on a Thursday and was told they ran out. =( Fail!

Happy hour is at the bar ONLY which is kinda lame...so don't come here if you have a big group. Pizzas are not as good as they used to be. Tried the Pale Ale Nachos. Name sounds cool, but tastes like regular Nachos to me.

Love the convenience of having my calorie count on the menu. If you, like me, are desperately clinging to your youth and trying not to gain weight, the Enlightened menu is a godsend. If you are new to being a travelling consultant in Southern California and would rather put your hand in a blender and hit frappe than get back on the effing freeway after a long day, and you find yourself at a chain such as BJs in Arcadia, thank your lucky stars that BJs is within walking distance from the Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn. Further thank whatever gods of food and comfort as you can imagine that you are seated in Myra's section. Yes, a good Hawaiian mahi-mahi under 500 calories, a standard but well-chilled pinot grigio, and far above average service from Myra can make a far from home dinner at 8 pm a relaxing and reassuring experience. And I don't have to get up at 4 a.m. to do penance on the treadmill. Nice.

Summary: 1. Food sucks. 2. Service sucks. 3. The wait for a table sucks. 4. Crowd during games are fun. 5. Drinks, well Jeremiah Red, win! Detailed: I'm going to try to be fair in this review but honestly, what is the hype with this place? The last three times I visited this with friends, I could only wonder why I was stupid enough to actually give this place the three visits. 1. 30 minutes to get a table. I'm not complaining but fine, at least let the experience be worth it. 2. 15 minutes without any sign that our server was alive. 3. 20 minutes for our food to finally arrive after our server was resurrected from AWOL. 10 minutes to get her attention that two out of our six orders was wrong. 4. 20 minutes to get the last two orders right. In the meantime, we were wondering what crap was actually served to us. Never tasted anything this terrible...overcook night? Fine, I'll bite my tongue. 5. Jeremiah Red preached serenity into our hearts. 6. Watching Lakers win the game, well, WIN? (The crowd was nuts.) Anyways, next time I ever come here with friends, we'll stay at the bar. Food and service here sucks so bad, I'm wondering why I even bother to wait 30 minutes on a game night. I guess my friends and I have the obsession with Jeremiah Red to keep our tails between our legs to come back again for another night of pathetic service. GO LAKERS!

Summary: 1. Food sucks. 2. Big TVs 3. Average drinks. Oh where do I even begin... Let's see, the Jambalaya was unbelievably salty but the saltiness was topped by its Bacon Pizza. I took one bite and then I spitted it out. Its saltiness was beyond bitter, beyond belief. At one point my friend handed me a slice with lots and lots of cheese on it and said "Try this piece, the cheese might covered the salt a bit"... Then came the Spaghetti... it wasn't fully cooked. The noodles were powdery and hard. We returned the dish to eventually experience the same thing with the newly cooked one. I think it at least deserves one star because the bar was okay. I enjoyed watching the Lakers game on its 60" plasma TV mounted above the bar while sipping on a glass of "Strawberry Splash". It is a great restaurant for friends' get-together. That was before we sat down and ordered the food though... .

The service fast and friendly, Enjoyed the potato skins, and steak dinner. Due to it being a Holiday weekend ,we did not have to wait to be seated. With Such a large menu ,took me more time to decide what to eat, then it took them to seat us. Great Service, Great Food, & Great Company, what more can you ask for

My experience with one of the closing managers on 5/5/14 was a disappointment. The manager had the worst attitude I've ever experienced at a restaurant. My sister and I ordered for curbside a little after 10pm. The manager took our order and told us to call the curbside number when we got to the restaurant. We arrived at Bjs in Arcadia and called the curbside number. She told us that she forgot to mention that curbside ends at 9pm and we need to come inside. My sister and I decided to drive to Arcadia solely for the fact that they offer curbside since her son had fallen asleep in the car. The Pasadena location is within closer proximity to our house, we would've went there to pick up food if she had remembered to mention the curbside hours when we called. Ultimately, driving to this location served no point as the manager who we spoke to "forgot" to mention curbside hours were until 9pm considering we spoke and placed the order after 10pm, which is over an hour later. She did not consider to call us back either to let us know. In regards to our food, our order of grilled chicken pasta, the manager refused to pack a container of shredded Parmesan cheese, instead she gave Parmesan packets for pizza and told us "we don't do that here." I have been to this location before and mentioned that I did not have problems with receiving shredded cheese with my order before. She responded, "I'm sorry but employees were not suppose to serve shredded cheese." Apparently a small ramekin of shredded cheese will not be given under any circumstance, she did not offer any option except telling us no. ALSO, two sodas were ordered with no ice but she failed to get that done correctly. "No ice" was printed on the sticker-label when we picked up our food, however she still put ice in both drinks and they tasted diluted. On the phone she sarcastically responded to me with "uh huh" and "right" after every sentence I spoke. Her communication skills are lacking and her attitude is most inadequate for a management position as she was a poor representation for Bjs in Arcadia. Her customer service was the worst we have ever experienced at a restaurant.

I was craving a Pazookie and lo, and behold, I got one at BJ's in Arcadia. The menu has changed sooo much since I was last there and they have a great lunch menu. For those with gluten allergies, GUESS WHAT! There is a gluten-free menu! The boyfriend and I came her for lunch and it was super busy! He ordered Calamari and a mini-pizza; I ordered the chicken fingers. The food was good and when I got my cookie dessert I was a happy camper. The prices are a little on the steep side, but you get what you pay for so that's always a plus. Parking is horrendous! If you don't want to circle the lot, time your visit right or find street parking (if possible).

I really enjoyed the adult atmosphere of this restaurant and brew house. We came here during lunch time so to our delight, they had some wonderful inexpensive lunch specials. We got the mini pizza and side salad lunch special. Both of these plates were portioned well. The salad was actually nice and cold (just the way I like it) along with a pizza that was sort of deep dish. Also, during lunch time, their beer on tap is $3.50 which was a great deal. We ordered the Hefeweizen on tap and really made the day much more enjoyable.

Being a chain-restaurant, I'll just make a comment on the only difference between this location and others; the service. I came here with the girlfriend and her sister during happy hour in the middle of the week. We sat in the bar area, because that's the seating eligible for HH-prices. If it was normal hours I would have sat else where. So we get our waitress who takes our order and tries to be upbeat about it. We get order 3 appetizers and drinks for each of us. We get our drinks probably 10 minutes after ordering. Normally this would not be that big of a deal except for the fact the place was near empty. What hold up is there between taking your only customers' order and bringing it to them. Our waitress was no where to be found. It was actually another server who brought us our drinks. 25 minutes later we finally get our food, again from another server. The girlfriend's sister got the endless root beer and either that was false advertisement or the waitress didn't care enough to give her a refill. It basically ended up being a 5 dollar root beer. When all is said and done, I get the bill. I'm scanning it and the numbers don't add up. After sitting in the bar just to get the HH-pricing, the waitress rang us up at NORMAL hours and NORMAL portion prices. We were basically served the HH portioned food but charged full price all around. I stop the waitress and I ask her what is going on. Her response basically clinched it for me, "Oh you weren't looking at that part of the menu so I assumed you wanted the regular one". Working retail myself, I know that if I ever make a mistake it is my responsibility to own up to it and make amends for my mistake. Instead, this girl tries to say it was my own fault. But how could I have known the pricing until after the food and drinks were consumed? I have never tipped less than 15% at any restaurant, no matter how poor the service is. It actually pains me when I give any less. But this was the ONE exception. I reluctantly tried to put down the normal 15% tip but my girlfriend angrily looked at me to "tell" me otherwise. I left like 5% and walked out the door shaking my head. No excuses for service so bad. You weren't rushed. If you thought I meant to order the larger portion, you could have ASKED... or actually given me the normal portion if that was the case, not charge me more for less. Never again.

This review rating is purely based on Nachos, Beer, and Pizza. Huge fan of Stone IPA and this is one of the few places in the area I've found that has it on tap - note, if it is removed, I shall revise my review. (I wish there were an "on tap beer" search engine.) I usually go after work, sit at the bar, and order some nachos or pizza... mmm. The place is wrought with out-of-towners - not too many regulars it seems, but I should swing in on the weekend to see for sure. The other thing I hold onto in my review is the bartenders, and Charlie will take care of you! I like the cozier feel of this BJs compared to some of the other ones. Parking hasn't been a problem during the week. The menu selection is great, anyone can find something they like. Oh, and with all the out-of-towner business men, it can sort of be a pickup joint -- watch out ladies, unless that's what your into (I don't wanna know).

american food with a hint of italian. their pizzas are great...and their artichoke dip and avocado eggrolls are yummy...but that's about it. quality of the food is so-so...mostly a big hit with the beer drinkers because they have a variety of house-brewed beer. this place is good for big parties, and make sure you reserve days ahead or else you'll be waiting an hour or so at dinnertime on the weekends...not really worth the wait, but if you have no choice then you're outta luck!

Came in for a quick bite on a Tuesday night. We usually order buffalo chicken wings and the shrimp scampi to share between the 2 of us- And it never disappoints! Tonight we decided to change it up so we ordered a house salad (sad they were out of the creamy garlic dressing), ahi poke, & broccoli cheddar soup in the bread bowl. Ahi poke lacked a bit in flavor, salad was okay but a little heavy on the croutons. But.... The bread bowl was TO DIE FOR! Seriously I don't know why I always ordered my soup in a cup. The bread bowl was nicely toasted- never had it like this before. Oh and the best part was the top of the bread bowl was smothered in what seemed like a buttery coating- drool. This is by far the best bread bowl I have ever had. :)) Of course we will be coming back!!! Until next time! Cheers :)

My 2nd visit and I had a great dinner here at BJ. We came on Friday evening and had to wait for at least 1/2 hr but the wait is worth it. Great ambience, service, food, wine and company! ~ Ordered Baby Back Ribs, ribs has a very nice smoked flavor and BBQ sauce for the meat complement the ribs really well. ~ California Club Flat Bread looks like pizza but it is pretty good too ~ Chicken Wings is normal, nothing to rave about ~ Parmesan Crusted Chicken is covered with a layer of crispy crust. Not too bad but not a fan of it. ~ Usually I came here for the draft beer but this time we tried white wine and it's really good.

My sister & I came here on a Sunday evening. This location is smaller than some of the other ones I've been to & although the place seemed pretty full, we were seated as soon as we stepped in. And this was pretty much the extent of timely service we received... We waited for at least 15-20min before the waiter even came over to ask if we wanted drinks or if we were ready to order. Upon ordering, we waited another 20min for our food which only consisted of their Thai Mango Salad & their Seared Ahi Tuna Salad. The waiter never came over to check on us & when he finally did, we asked for the bill & a couple boxes. This took another 15-20min. Although we enjoyed our food... the lack of "flow" & teamwork at this establishment was disappointing. There were at least 3 different waiters/waitresses working the area we were sitting in, yet there service was still slow. As much as I enjoy the food from BJ's (4 start-worthy!), I had to give this location only 2 stars :/

Disgusting. I am so grossed out by my chopped barbecue salad. Half of the ingredients are missing and the lettuce is so old it smells. Waiter was nice but come on what the hell is this. Will not be returning to this chain again

I went to try their Peach beer at dinner time on a Saturday night. The waiter took us to the bar area next to 2 crying babies. I told the waiter I rather sit somewhere else. So we sat in a better view of the bar. I hate it when all the tables are crunch up together that I have to hold my breath to sit in the small table. Good service on refill of water and beer. The food was good too. By the time we were leaving, long wait to eat there.

Stopped in for a late night bite on Friday night. Still a good crowd at midnight. The girl at the Take Out desk was friendly and knowledgeable. Very patient about going over suggesting quick bites. My order was fast. I took the Bone-In Wings and Stuffed Potato Skins to my hotel room. I had a few wings that were inedible. My potato skins were okay. I would have saved a bit if I'd stayed for Happy Hour and ordered the same thing. And then I could have returned the the wings that were dried out and mangled.

So we chat...she's going to have her dinner. And I start to wonder whether I will have mine. OK...8 minutes in. Valerie is warming up her dinner shoes...oh goody....score, at least the beer showed... OK Val...best move, transferring the table to Eric. Eric, you have your stuff together. Thanks. Rating goes from 1 to 3...

I remember years and years ago when this BJ's restaurant opened. It was really busy and quite popular. BJ's had amazing pizookies and incredibly large baked potatoes that could feed you for days. But gone are the days of those gigantic potatoes and quality of food (well at least for some of their food items)... and now fast forward to today... I have not been back to this location in over 10+ years until just last week. I came twice for two separate to go orders and ordered the following: Kale and Roasted Brussels Sprouts Salad, $9.75 prior to tax- I really enjoyed this salad, but wasn't a fan of the goat cheese and red onions (I only like cooked onions, never raw). But aside from that, the flavors and textures in this salad was excellent. The dried cranberries and grapes gave this salad a nice light sweetness and the candied pecans had a nice added crunch. I also liked the Brussels sprouts were cooked well and not charred like they are at other restaurants. Shrimp Scampi Pasta, $16.25 prior to tax- This was one heavy cheesy and creamy dish. Definitely not a heart healthy entree, but I did like it. The garlic bread served on top was nice but I could do without it. I was actually surprised with the amount of shrimp you get in this pasta dish and the size of the shrimp. More than expected (most seafood dishes are usually pretty skimpy on the seafood). New Orleans Jambalaya, $16.50 prior to tax- This dish was good, it was quite hearty and filling with the chunks of chicken and sausage. My husband and mother also enjoyed this dish as well since the portion size was plenty for more than one person. Honey Lime Seared Scallops, $14.50 prior to tax- I liked the scallops in this entree but it did not have a honey lime flavor to me. Scallop naturally taste wonderful so really there is no need to add anything else to it. I wished there were more asparagus in this dish but it was good and the brown rice was made perfectly. Balsamic Glazed Chicken, $14.50 prior to tax- The chicken was moist and pounded thin. This entree came with 2 thin pieces which is perfect for sharing. The mashed potatoes were buttery and creamy. The crispy fried onion strings were also a nice touch. Barbecue Bison Burger with Baked Potato as side, $10.25 prior to tax- I really liked this bison burger. It was cooked perfectly. I liked the pico de gallo on the burger and the chipotle barbecue sauce wasn't too spicy for me. I would have rated this BJ's higher if it wasn't for the customer service. Both of these to go orders were made on line. It is nice that you can pick what time you would like to pick up your order. On my first visit to pick up my order, I was quite disappointed to see my salad just sitting out on the counter instead of being placed in a refrigerator to ensure that my salad is nice and crisp. But aside from that, pick up was easy. But on my second visit, it was on a Wednesday evening and they were pretty busy. Instead of my food being ready at the time quoted on line, It ended up being ready 30 minutes later. Also since I was using a coupon on this order, I had to wait a long time for a manger to come and approve the coupon (only managers can do this and not employees). The manager even was making it a little difficult to use our coupon at first and asked where did I get it... as if he was questioning the validity of my coupon. And people in line before and after me had the same coupon (it was a buy one, get one free entree coupon which I got in my email box because I joined their rewards club sometime back). So thus, a 3 star rating is rather fair for my last 2 visits. By the way, this BJ's restaurant is located in the same plaza as The Olive Garden (also across the street from Souplantation). The parking lot does have a lot of parking, but you may not be so lucky to get a spot right in the front if you come on the weekends here. Try finding parking in the back.

Customer service has gone waaaaayyy down. So disappointed. I did get seated promptly however the order of the food came out wrong wrong wrong. First they brought my father the wrong soup. Ordered clam chowder and they brought him broccoli cheddar. Then they brought the wrong pizza to us. Then brought my soup but no crackers. I did ask for them and by the time I got the crackers I had to ask for my soup to be warmed up..it took THAT long to get some crackers that my soup went cold. Not to mention my mother's Margarita was watered down to the max. I waited and waited for my water to b refilled. Finally had enough and called for a manager. She subtracted two items off our check which is appreciated but to have such terrible service is so disappointing. Won't b coming back for a long time. Such a Shame cuz their dessert is delicious.. Just don't care for the terrible service.

The selection of BJ's Beer is good, and they have a broad selection of guest beers. The wines are pretty generic. Food was all American, emphasis on burgers and pizzas. I had the kale and brussel sprouts salad with chicken, which was not bad! And the other person in the party had cheeseburger which was very tasty! Overall a nice easy place for lunch or dinner, but a bit generic.

Disappointing... Food: *Buffalo Chicken Pizza- Lukewarm! *California Chicken Sandwich- Cold! *Grilled Chicken Club- bread was too buttery and oily... *Black & Bleu House Burger- asked for medium but it was well done and there were hardly any bleu cheese crumbles... *Fries: lukewarm and soggy... *Appetizer Combo (spinach & artichoke dip, mozzarella sticks, avocado egg rolls and santa fe spring rolls)- only dish that was decent. Service was BAD. Our server was nowhere to be found. Plates and utensils were DIRTY & CRUSTY...Disgusting! Will not return!

For many years, Arcadia has tried to build up a downtown area. This has proven somewhat problematic, in the sense that Arcadia is a fairly spread out town. The business centers of the town tend to string along the 210 freeway to the north and south, with residential areas tipping a few miles below and up towards the foothills. With such a diverse community, it never surprises me that in this so-called downtown area, one can find restaurants with foods from every corner of the planet. Korean barbecue, sushi restaurants, Chinese bistros, Italian delis, and good old-fashioned American bars... To name a few. Back in the early 90s, this particular restaurant was a Bennigan's. The menu and bar were roughly similar... and like BJ's, it was a popular lunch spot for Arcadia's professional community. One nice thing about BJ's current menu is that it does offer several options in the low calorie but not low on taste department. Of course, I mitigate this potential caloric savings by ordering something blonde cold and bubbly. That said, this is a casual and laid-back place to have a drink or two with friends, take a second or third date, or just sit at the bar and watch whatever's playing on the giant TV. Service here is always awesome. They take good care of you, and on your second or third trip, they will remember you. They used to have a lunch special called the Nooner. The marketing might have changed on it, but you can still get that deal... Plus there's something lowbrow humor enjoyable about asking your server for... Well you get the idea. Parking can be a little tough around the lunch hour, particularly with several restaurants right next door, and office buildings behind. Best bet is to go in one car with several buddies and enjoy your time there.

This is the best restaurant for service and food. I joined up with the BJ Club and found electronic coupons for appetizers and specials. I feel this chain of restaurants really focuses on customer service, as I can tell from the waiter (Alex) and all the others I've encountered. Although you would consider this a sports bar, it has qualities of high end restaurants and is great at training their employees about service and kindness. To speak of food, the quality is up there with other major chains and is served with quality and quantity at a reasonable price. I had the Lemon Thyme Chicken which was probably the most delicious healthy food I've ever had. My wife opted for an appetizer of Thai lettuce wraps which were also well seasoned and delicious.

AWESOME way 2 kick off the weekend!! Food & service were OFF THE HOOK...in a GREAT WAY!!! Special shout out to Antonio for EXCELLENT customer service. My Mom & I split the newest Deep Dish Veggie Pizza. Wonderful surprise to have Brussel sprouts & artichokes on our pizza. Mom loves mushrooms so Antonio made sure we had some on it. WELL DONE, Antonio!!! We finished our meal w/ a Beignet covered in ice cream & strawberry sauce. It was like a Strawberry Shortcake on steroids!!! Great suggestion from our server. We'll be back :)

My wife works at the Bjs in Glendale, so I know a thing or two about the BJs standards. The bartender tonight, Joshua, needs to get an attitude adjustment. We've been waiting for about 35 mins for what they said was going to be a 15 minute wait and had to ask him for a glass of water because he did not have the decency to offer any. In addition to Joshua, the manager came over just long enough to adjust the bill and take our payment. We didn't receive any "happy holidays" or even a simple "how are you doing today?" I'm sad to say that this location has very low standards and treats the customers like they're invisible. Unfortunately, not all BJ's locations can be held at the same standards, but we can try to raise awareness to corporate about this undertrained group of workers here. Hopefully they get their act together soon! Good luck Arcadia Bjs !

I've been to a few BJ's locations and the food is on point majority of the time. On my most recent visit, I ordered their BBQ chicken chopped salad and it was excellent. I love the fried onion strings on top. Now this salad isn't for someone who is looking for a healthy option because I looked at the calorie and the salad was about 1000+ calories. It's drenched in bbq ranch dressing but it was soo good. The portion is big. I was defeated before even finishing the salad. Lunch prices seem reasonable here. I will definitely come back to try their lunch deals!

Lunch time rush starts at 11:30. Come a few minutes earlier to beat the crowd! The BJ's Restaurant chain offered Veterans a free meal under $9.99 off of their lunch menu with proof of military service. My friend and I were lucky enough to snag a table before the lunch rush. Food was great. Service was OK. Parking is not hard to find. Place was clean.

Had dinner- ordered the Cali Club flatbread pizza, spinach mushrooms, and chicken wings. The wings were not really good but they do give you about 10. The waiter did not bring us utensils and we had to ask for them which is why my review is low.

Was meeting some old friends from my college days at University of Miami. One guy was here for work from Miami, why else would I be running out to Arcadia from West Hollywood on a Wednesday night. When he said, 'BJ's' I thought that he meant that low rate wholesale discount shopping place and I kept thinking "Why are we going shopping for mass quantities of toilet paper together?" Luckily, he meant this chain restaurant next to his Hampton Inn. It was the night the Dodgers won the West Coast title so it was packed and loud as hell with cheering sports fans (which I hate) but it's not like I frequent this place, so it's all good. As far as a chain restaurant the food was WAY better than a Ruby Tuesdays, Fridays, or one of those other garbage chain restaurants. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken and it was actually really good. We also shared the avocado eggs rolls and those were disgusting. I think the other guys liked them, but to me they the mush in the middle of 100% avocado was just not what I wanted after biting into a crispy egg roll skin. It was like pre-digested baby food in a crispy wonton shell- sounds good right? GROSS! I don't know why this item is popping up on menus these days- Avocado overload in California? I don't like it, not one bit, that's all I know. All in all it was a nice, chill, non-Hollywood night in the Pasadena area, away from all the hustle and bustle. It was amazing at what ease I had parking in a mega lot right out front, as opposed to having to pay for valet or literally avoid places in Hollywood all together because of the poor parking situation. What a treat! I felt like the old days of the suburbs growing up when my biggest night of the year was my birthday when my parents would treat me to my favorite restaurant of the 1980s- Chi Chi's.

My food took sooo long to come out. No one seems to want to work here. Food was very good though.

"Welcome" is not how we felt walking in tonight... the hostess made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. If it weren't for the other good experiences we've had with the bar staff, I would've given one star. The hostess tried twice to put us at a 2-top that was in a tight corner, and after asking for a different table, she rolled her eyes and put us at a 4-top in the middle of the dining room... and at a table that hadn't been bussed yet. It was a couple of hours before closing, so there were plenty of tables and booths available. I was so disappointed, we walked out. We normally visit during happy hour on the weekdays, and the bar staff provides great service. Whoever trains the bar servers should extend the same training and expectations to the host staff. Just sayin'!

By Far this is the worst experience I ever had at BJ . I order a large pizza before I finish eating it at the end of the crust I found a hair in my crust dough they send me another one they didn't say sorry or anything and what bad was when my other pizza came out it was uncook . I will never go back there again.

BJ's is always good! My favorite orders are calamari, Marghuerita Fresca flatbread, and their house Hef. Have also tried the burgers, sliders, and artichoke dip. And the Blonde beer. All good.

I have to admit that I've been here a lot, only because it's super close to my work. I try really hard to avoid this place and try suggesting other restaurants, but BJ's ends up being the "default" place to go to. Been here mostly with large groups anywhere between 6-15 people in our party. I've also been here with my husband since we had a gift card. A majority of the time, the food takes SO LONG. It doesn't matter if we get there early either. The service can vary. Most of the time, you feel neglected. The food doesn't come out all at once. Other times, the service is pretty good. I usually order from the lunch menu. I've tried their AYCE soup/salad , personal size pizza, sandwich, BBQ combo. Most of the time, I find their food salty and just "eh... it was okay." BJ's has their Premier Rewards card and the servers will try to make you sign up for it. You can earn points every time you go there. At the end, I'd really avoid coming here and wouldn't care if I never ate at a BJ's again, but I know I'll end up here again. Someone at my work will end up choosing to come here for lunch (taking consultant to lunch, someones birthday...etc.) The only thing I truly enjoy though are the Pizookies... 15/100 Reviews for 2014.

I hate giving a business such a terrible review but this was such a disappointment, especially for a chain that I frequent quite often. After our hike we had built up such a hunger and decided on BJ's to feed the beast! We had a party of 5 which isn't too large but they had a difficult time seating us. They tried to stuff us in a table for 4 by adding an extra chair which would have made for a tight squeeze. We told them we wouldn't mind waiting for a booth and proceeded to wait. This was just the beginning of our disastrous dining experience. We started off with the sampler appetizer platter and the plates that they brought us were dirty. So we asked to get a few clean ones, but upon return the newer "cleaner" plates were just as dirty as the ones we returned. We didn't even bother to ask for new ones and opted to just not use them. We each ordered our food, I chose the California Chicken Sandwich with wedge cut fries. We waited quite some time before our food came out. When our server came around to check on us after such a long wait I asked for a water with lemon and when she returned the lemon looked as if it had been chewed and then thrown in my cup. Yuck! The food that I ordered came out cold, the bread was mushy as if it were sitting for awhile. I didn't even want to try and send it back, first because our server was nowhere to be seen and second because of the length of time that it would take to get a new plate. I didn't finish it to say the least. This was terrible all around and I won't be back.

Ordered their alfredo pasta and it was bland. The only thing I like about this BJ's is their lunch special items (probably because the food doesn't cost much). Wait times are long on the weekend, especially during evening hours. What makes up for it is the look of the place and the good customer service.

The Wolf Pack and I just finished hiking up at Chantry Flats and we were starving. Normally I don't like to review chains, but this one needs to get their act in gear. Service: 2/5 Stars We practically had to pick out our own seating arrangements because they wanted to put our party of five at a table for four. The hostesses really didn't have a clue. Then we get a server who was never around when we needed something. All of out dishes came out and most were luke warm or soggy. Obviously our dishes had been sitting out quite some time before they got delivered. We would have sent things back, but we didn't feel like waiting another half hour. Food: 1/5 Stars I don't think any of us were happy with our entrees, but the mixed appetizer was fine. We enjoyed each others company so we tried to make the most of it. I had a chicken club that was awful. The toasted sourdough was really sour and my fries were soggy. Parking: 3/5 Stars In the middle of a big strip mall, so there's plenty of parking. Ambiance: 2/5 Stars It's a sports bar chain, so don't bring your date here. Trust me on this one. Recommendation: I think I'm done with BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse for good.

We were a large group of 15 and they sat us in the back with 3 tables pushed together to accommodate us for happy hour. Our server was really great, and understood our needs as a large party. We got beers and cocktails, pizzas and appetizers, and no complaints at all. I enjoyed the strawberry mojito, though weak, was still very refreshing. Best part was the giant pazookie my end of the table ordered, 3 flavors of cookie and a massive pile of vanilla bean and chocolate ice cream in the middle. Our meal lasted over 2 hrs, and even after we got the check and paid, there was no rush to move us out. The happy hour appetizers were very shareable: the personal pizzas were large enough to split between 2-3 people, and the avocado egg rolls were pretty heavy so good for 2-3 people as well.

2014 YELP 365 CHALLENGE - 127/365 I really enjoy coming to this location. I love that you can come in for a late dinner, and there are always people at the bar watching games. Customer service has always been great here. Never felt shafted or like I received crappy service. This is a great place to come grab a medium pizza and a couple appetizers with your friends. Great atmosphere. Friday, Sat, Sun there are waits but that is expected. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. And their pazookie's are AMAZING!

Cool spot for some bar/restaurant food ! The Calamari is good not great , have some delicious pizzas to order from and their beer selection is good. Happy hour starts at 10pm. The Atlantic salmon is really good, must try!

This is the second visit to this restaurant and tonight was quite a disappointment. First, we came here to celebrate my boy's 15th birthday. As we were seated, I told the hostess and she assured me that she would mention to our server. But to be safe, I told the server myself and he said he would do something special for him. There were five of us, we ordered five entrees and an appetizer. We wanted to make sure the appetizer has enough for all five of us. We asked how many servings for the Thai Shrimp Lettuce wrap, our server told us 6, but there were only 4, so my husband and I shared one. Minus a star... Out of the five entrees, two were terrible. My husband ordered the Shrimp Scampi Pasta, it was so bland, it was like as if the chef forgot to season it with any salt or flavor. Mine was the Balsamic Glazed Chicken, the chicken was so dry! By far, it was the worse I have ever eaten. The flavor was good but how could you overcooked chicken breast? I thought I could handle it (it is not like I haven't had dried chicken breast before), but in the end, I have to ask to return it and reorder another dish. So, minus two stars for the quality of food but add back one for the friendliness of the management to make the change without a fuss. The other entrees were pasta and a burger and they were ok but definitely not as good as we remembered from previous visit. Well, in the end, the server forgot to give my boy the special dessert for his birthday. But he did something else, when we asked if my kids could bring the remaining strawberry lemonade home (they had a refill and could not finish the rest, both had 3/4 glass left), he brought back not two to-go cups but two cups filled with strawberry lemonade. So, I give him back 1/2 a star. Overall, friendly server and management deserved 2.5 stars but I have to round down here for the so-so food quality.

I typically don't like giving lame reviews of restaurants because something made me walk into a place to try it out. The worst feeling is getting uninviting customer service. We decided to venture to BJ's after a hike, we were patient, the table was ready within 10 minutes so no complaints at all there. Where the problem lies is when you sit down, the table has left over cheese from a previous patron. No worries, wipe it off, plates were not clean, waitress was very robotic, almost like she was programmed to state 10 words or less, leave, and come back with an apology. In short, was NOT impressed with the pizza, it came luke warm, and I was told by the waitress "it's our signature dish," well, if your signature dish comes cold, and under cooked (oven rather) then I'm afraid to try this place again. It could be a one-off but overall I was not a fan, and seeing my friends food too that came cold, I definitely won't hold it to ALL the BJ's but this particular location might need a meeting with staff to get on the same page.

Great location, ample parking and the staff are all super nice!! Our server checked up on us multiple times. I came here with my dad and I got the mahi mahi tacos and he got a chicken club lunch combo. The mahi mahi tacos are nothing special... I actually think the ones at Elephant Bar tasted better. My dad seemed to enjoy his sandwich and didn't even let me have a bite. haha. Inside is very clean and has many TVs for your sports-viewing pleasure :D

So I had a chance to call this restaurant and spoke to the manager about my double transaction. Their excuse? They said the table next to us happened to have the same total amount so my card was also used to charge their transaction. WTF? First of all that's PURE BULL SHIT. So the people next to us had orders with the same price as ours and left the same tip? Did they order a kids meal too? Really now??? And that lame excuse to use my card? Hahaha!!! I sure don't remember saying "Merry Christmas everyone, your food's on me!". These lowlifes need to be investigated for fraud. Business must be really bad and they are probably having a hard time meeting their quotas so they have to do these illegal stuff. So again, if you happen to visit this place check your transactions. These crooks are out to steal your money if you aren't looking.

We came here yesterday to have lunch while on break from our conference. Ordered from the lunch special ($7.99) and it was really worth it and delicious. Most of my friends ordered the unlimited soup and salad. I ordered half flat bread and salad. The flatbread pizza is soooo tasty esp the California one i ordered. Makes me want to return just to have it again!! Service was really good. Overall a great experience!!

We visited the BJ's of the evening of the 1st round of the NFL draft. It was early evening on the west coast and we were just finishing a job in the area. We walked in the front door and not one of the many TVs in the restaurant were playing the draft. I'm walking to our table with my radio to my ear waiting to hear where the marquee players were picked and who my Ravens were going to select. When we were finally seated, it was in a booth right under a tv. We immediately asked our server if he could switch our tv to the draft. After taking our drink order, he left to get his manager to switch the station. After a few minutes the station changed and the manager peeked her head around the corner and said, "you all look like you want to see the NFL draft." We laughed and talked to her a few minutes about football and our favorite teams. Before long our drinks arrived and we ordered our dinner. I got a small, hand tossed pizza with mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni. The food was hot and the flavor was on point. But my main objective that evening besides seeing the draft was to order a pizookie. BJ's has an awesome dessert called the pizookie. It comes in a round mini deep dish pan that I assume is used for personal pan deep dish pizza. The pan has a hot baked cookie in it that I believe they slightly under bake because it is so moist, delicious and not totally firmed up like cookies that have been sitting for a while. On the top of the cookie they throw on a couple scoops of ice cream with a chocolate/caramel drizzle. If you don't do anything but order a pizookie, do it. Hands down one of the best items on the menu. We loved the hospitality from the staff and the manager coming over to make sure that we were squared away with the draft. The food was excellent and the night was capped off with a pizookie. Great outing for our entire crew.

This BJ's did a complete turnaround from my first visit many many years ago. The wife was pregnant so anything with a smell made her nauseous. What I remember from that visit was that it was really dark, and that I can't remember what I ate. Fast forward to this past Monday, and I am impressed! So impressed that I think BJ's is my new favorite casual restaurant! My "first" memorable BJ's experience was back in November at the Downey location where I tried the Pork Chile Verde fries and instantly became a BJ's fan. That location is about 3-4 times the size of this Monrovia location, but Monrovia's customer service can't be beat. We came for my sister in law and her fiancé's birthday so we had a party of about 25 with about half in our party being kids 13 and under. What I liked the most about this BJ's experience is that the whole staff worked in a team and took care of all of our needs. One server in particular, I wish I could remember her name really stood out because every time you asked her for something she'd say "my pleasure". Well it was my pleasure because we really didn't have to ask for too much. I had the California Burger (half-pound patty served on sourdough bread, topped with avocado, roasted green chilies, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayonnaise and ranch dressing) which was awesome, my wife had the shrimp scampi pasta (Flavorful shrimp tossed with delicate angel hair pasta in a light blend of olive oil, butter, garlic, lemon juice and Roma tomatoes. Topped with Parmesan cheese, seasoned bread crumbs and parsley) and my daughter had the Cajun chicken pasta (A creamy tomato sauce with blackened chicken breast, fire-roasted red peppers and red onions tossed with fettuccini noodles and topped with fresh Parmesan cheese and green onions.) and they were ALL DELICIOUS. One thing I wanted to mention was that we finally got to try a pizookie, which one of my buddy's from work never stops talking about. We tried a salted caramel one (A little sweet and a little salty. Made with caramel cookie dough, pretzel bites and white and dark chocolate chips. Topped with vanilla bean ice cream, caramel sauce and a Ghirardelli SQUARES® dark chocolate.) and it was off the chain! But what's really awesome is that for every pizookie they sell, they donate money for cystic fibrosis research. What an outstanding way to contribute to the community! Don't forget the dessert guys! Overall, I think I will come back to this location because of the wonderful dining experience. Next time we come back, I think I'm going to try a steak. The bar has been set now BJ's so please don't disappoint!

Great beers for happy hour! $4 pints for their in house beers! Their stout and IPA are pretty good and you can't beat that price! Went here with a friend for her birthday and received a free Pizookie! There have many other craft beers on tap if you don't want to try their micro beer selections. I didn't have to wait for at able and just decided to set at the bar tables, faster service! Staff was nice and friendly! I would definitely go back here!

I've never had such bad service in my life. Like, we are beyond confused. I work in a restaurant and I can understand why a server might be slow, but it's a Sunday morning and this girl literally had only 1 other table in the beginning. We got our drinks and appetizer in a timely manner, but she never came back to take our order. Sure she refilled my water, but she got 2 more tables and never came back. In fact the table after us got their food! Did we offend her? We were having a conversation but we were there for food, so please feel free to interrupt us to ask us what we'd like to eat. Had to finally ask for the check and leave because she still never came back! Really just to get out of there, won't be going back to this location.

Waiter was extremely helpful not his fault...ordered chicken wings and was served chicken ice cubes!! The bones where literally ice cold the waiter quickly replaced them that was a plus but......we mentioned the situation to the manager just an FYI.. she replied very rudely and sarcastically ... (thank you for letting me know we fix the problem) and just walked away completely unsympathetic. I didnt expect anything "free" just maybe an understanding and some sort of apologie. Maybe the waiter should get a management promotion??

First timer, didn't know what to expect. 5 stars only because our server Valerie was amazing. She was fast and paid attention to our needs. The food was alright they messed up my pizza but made up for it by giving us an extra. Weak ass cocktails (writing this review after 3 long islands!!!!) Excellent brew and I love their fried artichokes (heaven in each bite). Anyways if you go to this location, ask for Valerie. You won't regret it.

By FAR one of the WORST experiences I've ever had going into a restaurant. Some highly intoxicated person claiming to be the owners son approached my boyfriend got all up in his face with a rude attitude as we were walking in the door. They started exchanging words and you would expect the personnel to step in and handle the situation yet they were just standing there doing absolutely nothing. They ignored the fact of what was going on and ended up giving us a table. The guy went out came back in started pointing fingers at my boyfriend kept looking at him as if he was going to do something to him. Went into the bar area drank some of his beer and kept looking back at him. A waiter just passed by us shouting don't listen to him he's drunk. Does this place not have regulations??? We ended up leaving. Didn't feel comfortable at all. & most definitely will never return again.

Why the lady put us at the bar??!!! Clearly, we came in as a family ... I don't drink and either does the rest of the family!!! Another server did the same to another family!! What's going on here!!! I realized that part of BJ is a bar, but it's quite obvious that it's not what we are looking for!!! The other family, also, gave the server the "eye" & asked to be seated elsewhere, away from the bar ... Thank goodness that we were elsewhere later on!

For those who are vegetarian like me, BJ's does have plenty of meat free meals to choose from. Avocado egg rolls are on point! The angel hair Classico is a must have as well. Other vegetarian dishes include pizza, salads, and veggie burgers :)

First thought, CAN I LEAVE ZERO STARS? The service was BEYOND atrocious and this is coming from an EX-regular customer. I have never experienced anything this ridiculous at ANY restaurant. I don't even know where to begin. We walk in at 10:30 AM...30 minutes after they open on a Saturday morning. There are 2 other tables with people at them, they didn't have any food, but oh they probably just ordered. The A/C is blasting and we get seated far away from any of the other tables. Despite freezing, we wait for the waiter and then my mom orders a coffee and we quickly place our orders (now it's around 10:40) for food. Like I said, WE WERE REGULARS so we know the menu pretty well and have never had problems. 10 minutes pass, the coffee finally comes with 3 tiny creamers. My mom asks for more cream, 5-10 minutes pass, then he hands us a small bowl of creamers. Ok cool, no where's our food? It's been 20 minutes since we ordered. The manager comes around and asks if we had ordered...what??! YES. My mom POLITELY tells her "we've been waiting 20 minutes" The manager RUDELY says "What? What have you been waiting for?" WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OUR FOOD. YOU'RE WELCOME FOR CLARIFYING. She had the WORST attitude, which carried on throughout our experience. Anyways, my mom finishes her first cup of coffee, so naturally she asks for a refill, 5-10 more minutes pass, no coffee. We ask the waiter what is going on with the coffee!? OH, THEY RAN OUT. How do you run out of something so easily made?? Also how do you run out so quickly when we are literally the 3rd table there. Are the other tables filled with big parties? NO. OK, so NO COFFEE. Let's wait until they BREW MORE. When they finally brew more, they bring the coffee over and the waiter doesn't take ANY of the other empty creamers or the previous empty coffee cup away....OK COOL. At this point, I'm already pissed from waiting for more than 20 minutes for food and even more irritated by the awful attitude we kept getting from the manager, but again, this had never really happened before, so I'll try to be patient and lenient. However, every time we asked about the status of our food, we were met with DISHONEST answers about it just taking "a few minutes"...oh really? Because "a few minutes" ago, we were told our food was "almost ready." Total wait time before we got COMPLETELY FED UP = 50 minutes. I go up to the hostess and tell her, hey I know it's not your fault, but we have been waiting more than 40 minutes at this point for our food and we have somewhere to be at NOON. She was the only helpful person all day. She grabbed the manager and I explain how PISSED OFF we were because we go to this particular BJ's a lot and the service today was ridiculous and I explained literally everything I had just written above and ALL I was met with was her dumb robotic answers, "Oh. I know. I understand. I'm sorry." THEN, she had the nerve to ask if we wanted our food to-go, IT WILL JUST TAKE A FEW MINUTES. Are you kidding me?? WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MORE THAN "A FEW MINUTES" THIS WHOLE TIME...NO. And then she said there was a problem with our order, which would explain "why other tables got their food before us"...EXCUSE ME? I could've gone to Ralph's, made the exact same thing, in less time than we had been waiting. Our order was NO where near complicated. The most complicated thing I had requested was to include EGG WHITES instead of normal eggs. We had ordered straight from the menu. Because of all of our WASTED time, I'm now sitting and eating my delicious chipotle while writing this review because we were starving and we needed something way faster to make our next appointment. THIS BJ'S MANAGEMENT IS INCONSIDERATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I have NEVER walked out of a restaurant after waiting so long, but there's a first time for everything. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Not just worst BJ's experience, but WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID. GO TO A DIFFERENT BJ'S IF YOU HAVE TO. After years of eating here, I would say today is my last..but oh wait, I DIDN'T GET ANY FOOD.

Warm, familiar feel. I used to come see a friend here often. Came back after a long while and people still remember us. Feels good. I'm sure it can get hectic but we weren't rushed and all our food tasted great. Awaiting that pizzookie! Yum.

Came here for my friend's party of twenty-something people. Despite the large group and all the continuous, scattered requests of "More ranch!", "Buffalo sauce, please!", "Can I get utensils?", and "I need a refill!" they did an excellent job! Of course, service was a little slow for everything but eventually they did bring what you asked for. I applaud all their team members!! Food was mediocre. I got the gluten-free pizza with fire roasted bell pepper and artichoke hearts. Veggies were good. The pizza crust was leather, but tasted pretty good least (no weird aftertaste like other gluten-free pizzas). You really get a jaw work out trying to chew it, and yes, you can use knife and fork if you'd rather get an arm workout instead. You'll build biceps by the time you finish cutting up the whole pizza. Strawberry lemonade was too sweet for me, but fine when the ice melted. Meh food (3 stars). Geat service (earns a fourth star).

We somehow always end up here whenever we're back in Arcadia to see the family. Decent pizzas and pastas but not something I would intuitively suggest to anyone. Beer is good though! And don't forget the pizookie, which is this ooey gooey warm giant cookie topped with ice cream.

Words of advice - don't go!! If you happen to like BJ's and I understand that just go somewhere else. I consider myself a foodie I enjoy going to many different kinds of restaurants. So it was no deal yesterday when I decide to meet up with a friend have a couple drinks and dinner. I really wish I would have read these reviews first before coming to this location. I was going to tell you straight up they don't care about your well-being. Never in my life have I have been so sick in the past 24 hours, and I knew something was wrong with my stomach while I was there and I had ordered and Gingerale. The minute I got home I was profusely sick. While on my way to the emergency room I called the manager let him know what was going on for concern for other patrons. At first he seemed to care and he told me he would refund my money and asked me for a receipt. I told him I did not have that and then I was headed to the emergency room, after I got back from the hospital I called him again. That's when everything changed including his story. Basically made me out to be a liar and said that it was not his restaurant at all that made me sick and that he was not going to refund my money nor that he told me he when in fact he did. he also lied about me needing a receipt and said that all he needed was a card number. I hate nothing more than liars- and I don't know what his agenda was but don't lie to me !! like what do you think I'm stupid? like I'm not gonna recollect what you told me? And to add insult to injury he told me that the company will get back to me when they can about the situation. And he refused to answer me when I asked when can I expect to hear back form them. I'm sorry I don't deserve this - I serve my community and I deserve much better customer service and then get food poisoning and then be treated like this told that it's not their problem night wasn't them and then lied to twice. That's just disgusting ! Just take your money elsewhere and save your health, they don't care.

Usually don't write bad reviews because as a server myself I understand there are a lot of things that can happen when working. Two stars instead of one because the server and food initially came out pretty fast. Although the food came out before the drinks, water and tea, in the beginning, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When it came to dessert we were stuck waiting an hour. My boyfriend wasn't feeling well and we were just about ready to leave, but we already paid for the dessert and didn't want our money to go to waste. What had bothered me was that the staff seemed nonchalant about making the mistake and a manager never came out to apologize. Although the server apologized, after going on break and coming back to us still waiting for our dessert, it didn't seem sincere. And even when the server was on break he didn't notify the server covering for him that we were waiting for anything, so it was a big miscommunication. The food was average, the wait for the pazooki was super unreasonable.

I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone. They don't prepare your order not the way you wanted. Consider other places and don't waste your time and your money. If I could take a star away from them I would. Unfortunately I had to give a star for this place. Yelp should find a way to fix this. This place doesn't deserve anything.

Had a late dinner at this location last night. Great service, our server was helpful and attentive. Kept our drinks full (didn't even have to ask), and was constantly moving from table to table taking great care of all his customers. I was very impressed with his service. Thank you!!

Came here on a quick break from Christmas shopping. Usually like the other locations I've been. This is probably the slowest and worst of them all. We were really hungry and ended up waiting for quite some time for a table. Even getting on orders in took a good while. After our waiter final came to take our order we were hoping to get served at least our drinks, but even that took a good 15 minutes. It probably took longer to get served food than to actually eat our meal. Although our food turned out okay I was already pretty peeved to enjoy it.

Good place to bring your family for dinner, clean and great food is served. Not so good costumer service but I'm satisfied with their food. Definitely recommend this location.

I don't know who these other people have encountered. Every time we come here, we get seated right away & the waiter/waitress comes right after. It is a little bit of a wait for the food, but I expect that everywhere I go. Their potato skins are freakin' delicious and every other thing I've tried is just as good.

We walked in here during X-Games LA and we couldn't get a table or service while standing at the bar. Yes, there was 6 of us, but there were open 4 tops all over the restaurant and no one wanted to slide anything together for us. We waited 25 minutes before a patron in the bar made room for us by sliding over to a different table so we could make our own group table... then it was a fight between going trying to get a waitresses attention for a drink refill and walking up to the bar to try and just get our own. I should also mention that the other patrons around recognized one of us (he had a Gold medal around his neck he won at X-Games about 4 hours earlier) and he posed for plenty of pictures and signed autographs with the patrons at the bar. We had an average size food order, but there were multiple mistakes on it, not to mention we didn't all get silverware and had to twice ask for plates so we could share the appetizers. The food isn't bad, some dishes are actually good enough to order a second time (tuna with pita chips and wasabi sauce), but the service is so horrible I wouldn't return if the meal was comped and the GM was waiting at the front door to seat us personally.

Extremely disappointed in the services. We order appetizers only and it took 45 minutes. I will never come to this place ever again.

BJs what happens to you? disgusting...listen to this we come to BJs a lot but not this one in Arcadia. First off we ordered our pizzas with no olives or tomatoe because my daughter is SEVERELY allergic to them. so after 40 minutes the pizzas come out full of olives we send them back and they come 40 min later with double tomatoes and my slice had a huge hair on it as if almost to say here u go buddy. the Female manager on duty was very nice and helpful and the waiter was ok but man they really need to teach the kitchen staff that some toppings can hurt people and they have to be very careful. I won't be back to this location...

Ive never had a bad experience at any BJ's restaurant but one thing I noticed is that they seemed to always rush the customer. My friend and I decided to meet up at this BJ's location so we can chat and have some lunch. The service wasn't bad, the food was great. The waiter constantly checked up on us and was quick on the refills. But like I mentioned before, I always feel very rushed. He brought to-go boxes without us asking him to, & he brought the bill without us asking for it. I've never worked in a restaurant, so i don't know if that is normal because at any other restaurant, they usually wait until we ask. So how did he know that we weren't gonna order some more food? Or how did he know if I was even done eating? My friend and I ignored the fact that it looked like we were being rushed out, and we stayed another hour just to finish catching up. Other than that, his service was pretty good. I'm sorry for all of the people that had negative experiences because I've been to this specific location several times and I've never encountered such things.

I enjoy watching games here and I like that they have 2 happy hour times during the week. Their beer is really good and I LOVE going on tuesdays, when their wine, even bottles, are half off all day. They even have gluten free Pazookis. It doesn't get any better

We came here for my sister's post wedding rehearsal dinner and the service sucks!!! First of all we have a reservation at 7pm and we didn't get to sit until 8pm!! The food didn't get to us until after 30 mins, the visitors were all hungry, the service is too slow.

Personally I love BJ's . Their food and dessert "pizookie" are the best ! This restaurant tends to always be pretty busy, although they're busy they always get to you fast. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel welcomed. A few times they have messed up on out order but they fix it right away. Great restaurant , come here very often. Best is when they have their 2 for 20 special ! It's such a bargain ! You get a lot for your money.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night around 8pm. This place definitely gets packed. I was here with just another person, so I was thinking that the wait would be short. We decided to eat here because we use to enjoy this place when we were both in college. Also, I was craving some good pizza. I haven't been here in a while, but I remember really enjoying the food. HOWEVER, I was very disappointed. To start, I ordered a bowl of tomato bisque, side of wedge potato fries, and small pizza. It was a rainy day, so I ordered the soup. It still tastes great, one of my favorite places to order a tomato bisque. The side of wedge potato fries were very disappointing. This dish use to be served with sour cream, chives, and shredded cheese. Unfortunately, they just serve the fries alone unless you request for certain things on the side. Lastly, the pizza was horrible. I've been to other BJ's and I've enjoyed their pizza....even this location, before. I wasn't sure if they were just busy and overlooked my pizza, but after reading other reviews...their flaw appeared to be consistent. I ordered a small pizza and split it with a great white and sweet pig. The pizza came out lukewarm...not even hot at all. That was real disappointing. I felt like the dough itself was still raw. I probably won't come here again for their pizza, but maybe other items here are still good. The service...I have mixed reviews. My first waiter was great, he stopped by and refilled out waters and checked in to make sure everything was fine. However, he took a break and switched out with a waitress. Once that happened, we were ignored the rest of the night except when she rushed us to pay the bill. Her name was Erika. I probably won't return to this place, maybe if I am looking for some tomato bisque. If people ask me for some recommendations or decide to choose this place for a night out, I wouldn't suggest this place.

BJ's is one of my favorite stand-bys. They always have a great beer selection - of both craft beers and in-house brews and their food is delicious. This location is no exception. I was in here around 1pm on Sunday afternoon, since I couldn't check in to my hotel. This restaurant is within walking distance to quite a few hotels in the area, so I assume that they stay pretty busy. I sat at the bar and was immediately approached by the bartender. Although I am familiar with the menu, I still took a peek. It was cool to see that they offered Sunday Brunch, I don't think my location does that. I ordered a BJ's Irish root beer and the fried artichokes and got excited when the Gold Cup Championship was starting. Great timing! Everything was as it should be: the drink was frosty and delicious, with just the right amount of kick and the artichokes helped soak up some of the beer I drank the night before! ;) The service was fast and friendly. I rarely find myself disappointed in BJ's. Keep up the good work, guys!

Pizookie!!! So good if you have a sweet tooth! Tried the red velvet and the white chocolate macadamia nut. Celebrating dad's birthday so he got his own mini chocolate chip pizookie. For lunch we had the pork chop, rib eye steak, jambalaya, and salmon. All food was pretty good and entrees came with either soup or salad. Joey, our server, was very good in making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely come back again with family.

Our group of 6 was looking for a light dinner after the Rose Bowl game and agreed on BJs Brewery because they were located between our two hotels -- also because I've been to their Temecula location on several occasions and was never disappointed. I wanted to show our MI guests a nice restaurant with good food, atmosphere, and service. Everything started out great with no waiting for a table in the bar, waters delivered, and our drink orders taken. After a few minutes, and as expected, our server delivered our drinks, with the exception of mine (everyone was drinking beer or wine and I ordered a diet Pepsi). No big deal, except it took her about 10 minutes to finally bring it out. I survived and would not downgrade an establishment for that. After placing our orders, our server promptly brought out our salads, which mine was very tasty. After bringing out 4 of the six people's main entree, our server told us they ran out of the size pizza my wife and I ordered so they were making us a larger one, but it wasn't done yet - they need another 5 minutes to finish it. We said no problem, we can wait while the others start their meals while they are still hot. After about 10 minutes the server and manager came over to apologize and said it was taking a little longer to cook the medium pizza and offered us some bread or salad while we waited for our food. We declined and said we can wait a few more minutes. As you can probably guess where this is heading, the pizza finally was placed in our table 30 minutes after they said it would only be 5 minutes. The rest of our party had already completed their meals, and of course everyone was exhausted after spending the entire day at the parade and football game. My wife and I offered some of the pizza to our guests because it was too much for us, and we ate as fast as we could so everyone could get back to their hotels. The worst thing about my experience is that this specific pizza wasn't very good. It seemed dry and not warm enough for my taste. I've had this same pizza at the Temecula location and it was always excellent. When the bill came I really expected the pizza, that was 30 minutes behind the rest of our parties food, to be taken off the bill. I guess that was my fault for expecting them to do the right thing. Based on my total experience, I probably won't return.

Came here late one night because it was across the street from my hotel and I didn't want IHOP or In n Out. No host when I walked up so I sat at the bar, had 2 drinks & the shrimp pasta, it was bland but I was starving. The bartender was nice, maybe I'm not that talkative but he only spoke to me when no one else was at the bar. Whatev, just a standard BJ's, not much going on here. Smelled a bit too much like a bar though, spilt liquor? Meh.

Fair pricing, and the amount of TV's and available soccer channels make this a hot spot for lunch. Barcelona games, etc. The service is always choppy here- It can be close to dead on, and it can be 35 minutes before your food is out and you've got to chow down quick before headed back to work. Prices are fair, and the salmon lunch special is my favorite.

I am a little more than pissed off at this BJs right now. After a rough day of drinking a little too much the night before, sleeping only 4 hours to go on a hike that I couldn't even finish (my own fault for not resting the night before) and having a bad reaction to my new allergy eye drop, I ended up in bed all day without eating anything. I finally felt good enough to eat and leave the house at almost 9pm so I decided to call in an order for a BBQ chicken chopped salad and buffalo wings from BJs. What a mistake... They placed me on hold for 5 minutes. A girl, whom I later learned is the shift manager, then picked up and asked to take my order. I had 2 simple items that I've ordered regularly and the phone conversation took forever. She wasn't paying attention! I was telling her what I wanted and was interrupted when she said goodbye to an employee leaving saying "bye, see you tomorrow!" while I was talking! This happened a few times and she kept repeating my order and asking me questions that I already told her the answer to. The whole thing including hold time took almost 10 minutes. I have never spent that much time ordering 2 simple dishes to go in my life. I got there 15 minutes later and my order was ready. The girl asked me to go ahead and add tip and sign my credit card receipt. First of all, why are you asking me for a tip when it's a to go order? It's not even curbside. Plus my phone experience was so horrible that I wouldn't leave a tip anyway. I got home and my order is wrong! I have always been a fan of their BBQ chicken salad. I have been ordering it for years. It comes with BBQ ranch dressing with BBQ sauce drizzle on top. My salad had regular ranch tossed in and no BBQ sauce. How can it be a BBQ chicken salad without BBQ sauce???? Now I'm so peeved. I called and asked for the manager. She still didn't pay attention to me. After I told her my issue, she asked to place me on hold. She then came back and said "would you like us to reimburse you since we didn't put enough BBQ sauce like you wanted?" Is she f-ing serious? I just finished telling her that my salad had regular ranch instead of BBQ ranch and no BBQ sauce at all. So I guess she's right since no BBQ sauce is definitely not enough BBQ sauce? She wasn't even apologetic until I asked for her corporate office's phone number. She ended up calling me back a few minutes later saying that she has adjusted my credit card to give me credit for the salad. She then mentioned that she is very sorry and even though I said I would never visit their location again, she hopes I would consider giving them another try. Funny thing is I never said that. She didn't even pay attention to what I said. I can't believe this girl is a manager. I'm thoroughly disappointed.

Horrible service from our waitress (Crystal) if you get her give her a verbal tip! On taking etiquette and customer service classes. She asked if I wanted lemon in my water I stated "yes that's fine" her reply was abrasive of "WHAT"

The five of us arrived at 6:30pm to be waited for 30 minutes with a pager. It was busy with March Madness games on TVs. I ordered brewhouse burger which is my usual cause it comes on a bun that reminds me of cheesebread I miss at Sizzler! I picked thick fries; which is good! We've been using the Rewards and a $5.00 off coupon. Looking forward to coming again there!

I've dined at the Monrovia BJ's location twice this year, but both times the service and consistency were not up to par. First Visit Our server must have been new because: 1) Lunch took two hours to get through 2) Our soup took so long to get to us that by the time we got them, it was lukewarm and our accompanying entrees came shortly after (not enough time to enjoy our soup before entrée). We even had an inconsistency with soup spoons, some were soup and some were serving spoons that were too large for the bowls. 3) Long time to refill drinks; instead of bringing us a brand new glass, he'd just grab our old glass to refill after forgetting the first time. 4) Mix up with our rewards program card. It was switched with another party's rewards card. Second Visit 1) Our server would check in on us, but never stayed long enough to hear our responses. We lacked napkins, accompaniments for our dishes as well as answers to questions about the food we ordered. 2) The cloth napkins were wet because the utensils inside was wet when they wrapped them... we waited a long while to get paper napkins... after consuming chicken wings.... 3) The Piranha Nachos sucked, all of the ingredients were on the bottom, except for the cheese (which was already lacking) yelp.com/user_local_phot… 4) The pazookie was supposed to have two scoops of ice cream, which is actually one yelp.com/user_local_phot… vs. their stock photo posted on Yelp yelp.com/biz_photos/bjs-… 5) Ice chunks throughout our scoop of ice cream yelp.com/user_local_phot… The Arcadia location really, I mean REALLY is not up to par with other locations I've dined at. I might have to stick with other locations like Temecula, Oxnard, Long Beach or even West LA. I would probably choose another restaurant down on Huntington Ave. before considering dining at this location. Yelp 100 Challenge 2013 - 11 of 100

Disappointment with the service is the reason for the 3 stars! Came for a late lunch and stood at the front for a good several minutes before being somewhat greeted! They were definitely not on point in this area! Finally, after being seated we were not given menu's. When the waitress came, she had to get them for us. She was very friendly and accommodating. When the food was served we realized they did not give us place settings and had to get up and get them ourselves. :( Our food was delicious as always... I got the Pasta & Soup lunch special (Cajun pasta & tortilla soup... Favorites of mine!). Service was mediocre, which was surprising because they were not that busy. Overall, I was not impressed by this location, but love BJ's!!

This was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever encountered. We were there for a birthday lunch and had a large party. Before we even ordered, we requested separate checks. The server said he would divvy up the checks at the end. Then he half-assedly took our order, looking bored and not writing down key details. When asked if the gluten free menu was available, he said he didn't know and then stared at us. No offer to check. The food came out 45 minutes later, and they had put cheese on my dad's burger (he's lactose Intolerant). They also took 30 minutes to bring him a new one (the rest of us were halfway done eating). He checked on us maybe once or twice in 2 hours. We ordered dessert and it took an additional 45 minutes. THEN, the waiter brought the bill--the whole very expensive bill--to one person instead of splitting it like he promised. At this point, we were fed up and just wanted to leave, so we just paid it the way it was. The grand finale? We didn't know that gratuity wasn't included (it usually is on large bills) or we would have included it (even though the whole experience sucked). The hostess brought the bill back and rudely informed us, "Just so you know, trip is not included in this bill". Wow. A three hour lunch horrendous, rude service and they practically demanded that we tip. Again, we intended to tip because we aren't terrible people, but seriously? We will never go back.

Went into the restaurant and waited with no host to seat us. Finally ended up just walking up to the bartender to ask where to sit. Once we self-seated, no waiters came to give us a menu. Even after calling out, making eye contact with the servers, and politely trying to call their attention, they completely ignored us. Worst service ever. In fact, there was no service whatsoever.

For pizza, the restaurant isn't bad at all. It's not gourmet pizza and I would say a very different level from let's say, Tribunali, but for something casual and of course, American, it's good enough. It does it's job, which is to fill the stomach, and feed a table of customers. My main reason to come is for the pizookie. The concept is very easy and widely known, but for a pizza joint, it's much more interesting. A pizza sized cookie amounting to at most four cookie flavors is cooked in a deep-dish pizza pan and then topped off with two to three scoops of ice cream. Sugar rush, anyone? Good for large groups for any type of event. Beers on tap are a variety since they are also a brewery and cocktails are actually quite good too.

Ugh, I have to say that my dinner at BJ's was the worst dinner I have ever had in my entire life. I have never been unable to finish a meal simply because the food was unappetizing. Since BJ's is pretty much the only restaurant open around the area after 10:30, the bf and I decided to stop by for a Friday night dinner. I was surprised at how many occupied tables there were. Apparently high schoolers like to come here after their Friday night football game, dressed in their cheerleading and football attire. They are half the reason why the atmosphere at BJ's is so loud. So we were seated and given a very large menu with an incredible amount of choices. Ordered the avocado egg rolls, small barbecue chicken pizza and the california burger. The bf ordered a hot tea which was basically hot water, a packet of honey, a tea packet and some sugar (and that cost almost $3 when you can get much better tea at any Asian tea shop!) The avocado egg rolls came out and while they looked good, they didn't have what the description stated they would have "Crispy golden wontons wrap a tantalizing blend of avocados, cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, pine nuts, chipotle peppers and spices. Served with a sweet tamarind sauce." There were no sun dried tomatoes or cilantro or pine nuts! All I could taste was the avocado and the heaviness of the egg rolls. I ate two and that was two too many. The egg rolls must not have been cooked all the way, but I got an incredible stomachache and was unable to eat anything else after that. When the pizza came, I took a few bites but not only was the bread incredibly dough-y and tasteless, it was really disgusting! CPK's pizza beats BJ's by a hundred percent and even Little Caesar's $5 special is better than this garbage. And when the bf's California burger came out ... it was on sandwich bread and looked really unappetizing. It was incredibly heavy, which ... I guess I can't say anything because what do you expect from an American restaurant? But it just tasted bad! I have never had that much inedible food left on a plate from a dinner/lunch ever! I felt really bad when the waitress asked if she could take anything away or if we were still working on it. I mean, it's not her fault the food sucked. I asked for a box for the pizza, but I honestly will probably not eat it. It's currently sitting in the fridge awaiting its fate in the dumpster. My stomach was so uneasy I couldn't eat the pizookie that my bf and his sister had ordered. I just sat there drinking ice water, waiting for them to finish so I could go home and use the bathroom. One of the reviewers mentioned that there is happy hour from 10 to close and there is $2 off appetizers? I didn't get $2 off the Avocado Egg Roll! Looking back, I do wish I had said something about the taste of everything, but I was in such a hurry to get home I couldn't even think about that. The waitress was nice though, and when I had asked about the $2 off any small pizza Yelp deal, she said I had to sign up for their Rewards program. She ended up giving us a free pizookie instead of givign me $2 off the pizza, but oh well. I just thought the entire meal was too heavy and just not great. I was pretty disgusted by the inedibility of the meal and the fact that I couldn't even get through half of it. And when I got home, my boyfriend's brother mentioned that he never comes to BJ's because this was where he got his first and worst dose of food poisoning - yikes! I am going to stay away ... A super expensive meal that was not at all worth it.

Great service and food were excellent. Had Bison Burger (bufflo burger) and was delicious; dosen't taste gamy, excellent flavor and not dry. They have a lunch special that is not too bad for the price. I usually go only when friends pick this place. The bazooka dessert is best but then everything else is just okay. I get the sliders, pizza, and salad. This was my earlier review. I never finished. Today 1/30/13 The salads here are good but it is expensive. We order out 4 salads one sandwich for only 68.00 really?? I like the Santa Fe salad with salmon. But I don't know I will only go here on someone else dime. To top it off they said 15 20 minutes we get there in 20 and they forgot to make the sandwich, we had to wait another 25 minutes, REALLY? Won't be back for a while. There are too many other places we could have gone to. Oh the salad was just salad, they didn't even give us any bread.

Only two stars because of the pazookie. The pizza was absolutely terrible. I had the deep dish and was sorely disappointed. I left feeling uncomfortably full, but not satisfied. The food was over processed and un-inventive. I would recommend trying your luck elsewhere. The venue is ok and the service was prompt and friendly.

Eric. He is THE best. Super friendly. Very knowledgeable about the menu. After last weeks horrible experience at the bjs in montebello, I decided to come back to this location to see if it was as good as I remembered it to be and it was. The food was on point. It was all cooked perfectly. I feel bad cause my review is mainly about the service which again was perfect by eric. Our drink were refilled when needed. The food was placed very nicely onto our table and he brought boxes for our leftovers. Continuously checking up on us until the end. The drive is a bit further but we'll definitely come back here instead of the montebello location.

The ONLY reason I gave it a two is because by dessert time, we talked to the manager and switched waitress, well we had a waitress and ended up with a good waiter. Anyways our waitress sucked. Attitude problems, we waited 20 min, no refills. The worst. She would look our way and then leave. I was there tonight 06/22/14 around 7-9p bad. I'll try to go again, I'm sure it was just her that sucked. Btw, it wasn't even busy lol

Disappointing! Went at 5:30 sat in the bar. Caution: don't order a mojito lite. Awful. Server was bad, ordered 2 appetizers he only brought one. No napkin or silverware, never asked us how it was. The 2 managers we spoke with were great. Advice to servers everywhere: don't have a personal convo when you are ignoring me and I can hear you. Probably time to cross this one off my list.

Got here at dinner time. For several days, I had been craving the seared Ahi salad. The hostesses were friendly and indicated that it would be a very short wait. They were correct, 5 mins later my assigned reservations "vibrator" was activated. Ordered the Ahi salad and a lightswitch ale. Large crowd, a bit noisy and a few screaming kids, no big, its expected. Then I left to use the restroom...interestingly, the urinals and toilets were all filled with urine...WTF? this is odd, then I realized why, certain ethnicities don't flush toilets after just urinating....bizzare. same thing on my return trip 20 mins later. These individuals , wash their hands properly but refuse to flush toilets with only urine is involved...Geez, never again will I return to this part of town. I wont mention which ethnic group, but its obvious and amazingly, very consistent. I was tempted to yell at all these idiots, however, being a pacifist and a follower of Ghandi's teachings, I did not wish to fight that night so the restaurant's male patrons were all safe and very lucky... FLUSH THE TOILETS YOU DISGUSTING IDIOTS! The one star is for the patrons, the food was great, service was exceptional...customers sucked....

PAZOOKIE. I could say it a thousand times but it weighs little on the overall experience of pizza, warm brownies and the amazing pomegranate lemonade. Used a groupon on date night and the service was great. The booths are comfy(always a plus) and the server was considerate. The ambiance was nice, and the game was playing on every television...that makes it a 3.5 star review.

3.5 stars for BJ's!!!! I've been going here for years and it's a great place to watch sports games. There are televisions all around and an enormous one at the bar! The food is pretty good but it depends what you get as some dishes are better than others. I personally love their wheat pizza, meatloaf sandwich and chicken marsala. The service is always good and the place is very new after they remodeled a while back.

One of the few chain restaurants that I love! Deep dish pizza and pizookie FTW! Happy Hour 3-7pm and 10pm to close: $5 mini pizza and $2 off appetizers. That's a deal to me! Pizookie: One of my all-time favorite desserts. I didn't know there's a red velvet option, but I think I'll stick with my half white chocolate with macadamia nut and half chocolate chip cookie. ------------ Service is generally good, but the last time our server was being a doofus. We asked her what the happy hour specials were and she said it's not written anywhere and then proceeded to recite specials in blazing light year speed and then walks off, giving us more time to decipher what she blurted out. "...Huh? Sorry ma'am, I don't think we caught any of that. Can you repeat that again... slowly?" I don't think she understood the idea that she is supposed to sell us what was on the menu, not deter us from ordering. Finally, I asked about Monday happy hour, which she then realized she missed a couple happy hour specials and finally found the happy hour menu on another table. (I thought you said it wasn't written, you liar, pants on fire). Anyways, aside from that mishap, everything else was swell.

This restaurant use to be a lot better but now I feel that it has lower it's standards. The customer service was the best and so was the food now I'm sorry I can't say that anymore. I loved bringing friends here especially since they're open late, but why not save the money and cook something at home when I have to ask for the same thing more than once to the same person. Not to mention I asked someone else who I think was the manager and even the manager forgot to bring me what I asked for. And to top it off all I wanted was lemon slices for my water..

Since Cheesecake Factory was too occupied we decided to go here as a last minute plan. Olive Garden is next to it, I've never been to Bj's. My friend who I went with said it's like Cheesecake Factory. It was not like Cheesecake Factory, not even close. First of all I felt way too dress to have dinner here. Everyone's so casual. The floor was so slippery, ladies I don't recommend you to wear heels in this restaurant. It's like walking on ice or something. Why do they take forever on their service? Or at least to us they did. Waiter took forever, and when he got our orders.. The cook brought out the wrong plate for my friend. My friend even pointed to the picture of what she wanted, how do you get it wrong. If you're unsure, just double check. It's better to be wrong and correct it than wasting a plate of food already cooked. (I used to work at a restaurant so I'm aware of double checking in case). Anywho, we now had to wait for the right plate to come out. Another waiter came by to let us know that they've already ordered the right plate. Then the floor manager came by and asked if everything was okay, apologized and made sure we were taken care of. At least that was the right thing to do so I will give them credit for that. We ordered the traditional wings for appetizer, I got the angel hair toscana and my friend ordered the parmesan chicken. My pasta was good, but my bread just seemed a bit hard like it was sitting there for a while waiting for the pasta to be done. The 2nd waiter was better, he got us refills and made sure we were alright. And towards the end, we did wait a while again to get our check. Overall, food is decent. As for customer service, I'll let you decide by reading my review if it was great or not.

I've been to this BJ'S a number of times before, but never had I experienced a lunch like the one I did on Tuesday the 23rd of July. The waitress was horrible!! From the moment she came to our table, by the way which was 10 minutes after we had set down she seemed like she didn't want to be there. Then she continued to miss items form our order. When we finally received our meal we had to take it to go because we spent an hour waiting for it. I am not sure of the waitress name, but if you go to this BJ's and see a waitress coming to your table who looks like she is having a bad day ask to be seated somewhere else, because you will be enjoying your lunch at home for dinner! Runny wet and wilted lettuce filled shrimp tacos. Left overs? UGH!!! Won't return here again. The waiter...never asked how the salty food was or why I was wiping off my taco shells with a napkin and squeezing lettuce lol.

Gross. The food is just not good! I've been here several times for banquets, birthday celebrations, and just dinners in general. It's just not good. All the pizzas suck. Seriously, I have tried almost all of them. There was a waiter who recommended the mediterranean one before and it was the worst. The pizza was dry with almost no flavor. However, BJ's earns1 star for pizookies :) Oh, and they usually have sports playing which is nice if I'm missing the game to have dinner or something.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch, I ordered Avocado Egg Rolls, They tasted bad, when I opened one up the Avocados were rotten trying to be disguised with a few fresh ones, I sent it back and got another order which were a little less rotten, sent it back and got a too salty pizza which I just ate, by that time my friend was done with her lunch and waiting for me . The manager offered us nothing for our trouble!

I ate dinner at the B.J's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Arcadia, CA on 10/21/2013. I've been there a couple of times before. This time I ate with the Jacks and Queens group. I had their Moroccan salmon ($12.95) and coffee ($1.99). The Moroccan salmon was very good. Joey, our server, was attentive as well. The only problem with B.J's is it is very, very loud place to have dinner.

Remodeled and looking FLY. This BJ's recently remodeled their store, so the upholstery is fresh, the bar is looking modern, the ceiling looks intricate, the floor is shiny, and the enterance area looks sleeker. Overall, this was a good change for BJ's. They have come out with a new dessert that is out of this world! Watch out PAZOOKIE.. you are yesterday's news... HELLO STRAWBERRY BEIGNET.. with your friends Vanilla Ice Cream and Sweet Strawberries. This trio is here to stay and everyone is ordering it! Well I know I am! Beignet - donut like amazingness Strawberries - sugared and sweet Vanilla Ice Cream - light and creamy Eat this with a glass of Berry Burst Cider and you are good to go! Been here 3 times the last two weeks.. why not make it 3 more!

Love coming here to unwind. Great food and drinks. Staff is attentive and helpful. Last visit the sun was in my eyes half way through my meal and I asked for blinds to be pulled closed. however, The blinds being closed wouldn't have helped because the sun was above the blinds. So the manager came out and apologized and offered us a new table. very satisfied with this location.

I'm definitely a fan now that they remodeled the entire restaurant! It was always an easy default place for me and the bestie when we wanted a quick drink and bite, but I'm thinking we'll be here more often because... 1. they remodeled everything and they now have pretty wood ceilings and nice booths and the bar is GORGEOUS!!! 2. their new dessert...the beignet. BOMB.COM and a half. Strawberries, cinammon, and ice cream = fantastical 3. Berry Burst Cider - where have you been all of my life?!?!?! This stuff tastes like cherry 7up on steroids and I'm so glad I asked the server about it and he was overly enthusiastic about me trying it. So glad I did. AMAZING experience...and great times with the bestie as always. "Ummm...is that who I think it is?!"

Came in tonight for a Bailey's and coffee, & a Pazooki for my B.fs birthday! Recieved amazing service from our server Alexander J. Very attentive with refills, considering we got water; & one drink. Most servers ignore you if you aren't spending crazy money on dinner, but sometimes at 10 at night all you want I'd dessert! We're frequent diners here, & have never received such great service! Two thumbs up for Alexander!

Pretty standard fare, but decent quality. Most people in my group ordered some kind of fish (salmon, mahi-mahi) and no one seemed disappointed. I got fried fish tacos which were pretty tasty and I would definitely order again. The plus is definitely the beer. Everyone was really happy with their beer selection, I would go back just for the harvest hefeweizen or the red ale!

I generally like the BJ's chain of restaurants. They've got a large selection of food, dessert, and drinks. It's a great spot to choose if people in your party don't know what kind of food they want. And it's an easy place to accommodate parties of higher numbers. I went to this one recently to meet a friend for dinner and dessert. I wasn't particularly hungry so I ordered the mozzarella tomato salad, and had a glass of the moscato. I really enjoyed the salad: it was light, and crisp and cool on a hot night. The moscato was a bit too sweet for my taste. My friend ended up ordering the white chocolate pazookie; she let me have a bite and it was really good. The reason I'm giving this three stars is because the bartender kept rushing us to make a decision on drinks, dinner/dessert, and to pay the check. There wasn't a huge wait by any means. It just felt like she wanted us to get out of there.

This is another chain restaurant I don't mind going to. They've got a great variety of food and they've got good beers. They even serve a FRAMBOISE. Not many places do around here so that's a plus! A repeat plate for me is the california burger but I get it with a turkey patty + a side of ranch and I like the shoestring fries because they're always delicious and nice & crisp on the outside! Their pizzas are pretty good but if you are an advocate fan of thin crust pizza I would recommend not to get it...their pizzas are a deep dish pizza with lots and lots of bread. They also have some good "small bites" that are inexpensive and you could get two or three and it'd be a nice portioned meal. Their stuffed mushrooms are decent...a little on the bland side because the mushrooms aren't seasoned all that much, their friend wontons are good (especially their buffalo and asian ones), their mac and cheese has got some bacon in it...also decent...a little on the bland side, and their fried artichoke which I think is the best out of all of them. The artichokes are perfectly fried and the sauce does it a good solid. & I would DEFINITELY recommend getting a pizookie...no other restaurant has it and they have a few different flavors. You can even get a half and half of two flavors you like!! It always comes out hot and the cookie is cooked to perfection and its warm ooey gooeyness marries well with their ice cream!

This BJs was okay. Nothing really special. We went here because most place were close around 10:30pm on a Sunday. I really like the stuffed mushrooms mini meal..but kinda disappointed with the clam chowder. Service was decent. Place was very attractive and clean. I like the HD Screen where they just show the menu and pictures of food. yum!

This is the best BJ's! We had a group of 40 cheerleaders who were tired and hungry. We were coming from Hollywood, and I called ahead to see if they could accommodate our big party with such short notice. We had the pleasure of speaking with the manager Latricia who was pleasant and welcoming. She explained that she would do her best to seat our party as quickly as possible and to come on in. When we got there, our party had shrunk down to only 20, but they had enough seating ready for the 40 and assigned several experienced servers to take our orders. From the moment we walked in, our service was superb. From the manager, to the hostesses, and waiters/waitresses...they were friendly, patient, and fast on their feet. They stayed one step ahead the entire time. Our drink glasses stayed full, our orders were taken in a timely manner, and our food came out quickly and all at once. This is one of the best experiences we have experienced at a BJ's. We will definitely be back!!!' Thank you! A+++++

We came for dinner. My son ordered the shrimp scampi. Shrimp were good but the pasta was overcooked n kinda not good. Our server was so awesome my son did not want to complain. (I think he thought it would reflect on the server). I told the server and the manager was so nice and totally professional. Amazing customer service!! My clam chowder was really good and so was the pear salad. I gave a 5 because when the staff try to do whatever they can to make things right it makes you want to return.

Not a big fan of their deep dish pizza (been to chicago and love their real thing), know that everytime I go to any BJ's. However without pizza, I still love this particular BJ's since its been remodeled. They have a good selection of beers on tap and I enjoy their ones they brew themselves. If beer is not your thing, you can always order some hard liquor, and they know how to mix. This is also now a great place to see sports, since they have a vast amount of flat screens, so many I consider them the whores of flat screens. But the winner of the bunch is the 103 inch screen (crazy huge) overlooking the bar. As for food, its ok, I do love their Chili and BBQ chicken sandwich for lunch, but no so much into their pizza and italian dishes. So yes I will still attend BJ's to get my beer and watch my Lakers/Clippers on the big screen.

This place is the definition of average. Wings, beer, service, laminated (sticky) menu, welcome as you walk in ... all average. It's the kind of place where no one is actually rude but the smiles seem forced. Parking is easy enough but I would try another of the many other eateries in the area first.

We were a party of four, greeted by extremely rude hosts. No eye contact, no smile. I've been working in restaurants for about 8 years so it's safe to say I have high expectations, but even so this was so bad. We were quoted 20 minutes and were seated after 35. We got to our table and waited for 10 minutes to be greeted. The first thing that happened was that my glass was dirty. Like, disgusting brown goop along the INSIDE of the glass. I was drinking a Coke (which is dark) so I didn't even noticed until I had taken a few sips. I tried getting our servers attention for 10 more minutes to get it replaced. I was very polite about it and even apologized for requesting a new glass. Our server was rude and snatched the glass off the table. When it came time to pay, the four of us needed four separate checks. Now, I'm a sever and i know how to split checks efficiently, it isn't complicated if you enter the orders under the correct seat number in the first place. And even if you don't it's an easy fix with the managers help. He asks us to split it, use a calculator, write down the last four digits of our card numbers, all this unnecessary crap. When we give him the calculations, he returns and tells us we didn't add in the tax. Are you kidding me? That's not either of our jobs - that's what the computer does. Ugh, anyway. I felt bad tipping low but this was honestly the worst restaurant experience I've had. Try the Chili's down the street.

I've come here so many times with my boyfriend and each time we've had a horrible experience. Tonight we came as a last minute meal choice and I'm so glad we did. However I do feel bad for our server because the restaurant just double seats him and no one helped him at all. But with that being said, Jerry (tall gentleman, glasses, short dark hair) did an absolute amazing job. He was friendly, acknowledged that we did have to wait a little long, and truly showed that he cared. Jerry alone has made me want to come back to Bj's Arcadia, but we will only sit with him! He has completely changed my attitude towards this restaurant and I wish there were more servers like him. Thank you Jerry for amazing service. You were great!

The ambiance is pretty neat, with televisions all over, like a sports bar. The food is good, the service is so-so. When we came in, the greeter simply told us to "wait there" and we waited for a long time while a waitress standing near the greeter punched in numbers on the computer for a long time, without saying anything to us. I was satisfied with how quickly the food came but they mixed up one of our pizza orders. It happens, right? It can get really busy here and it's sometimes difficult to flag down the waiters! Great White, Southwestern and Buffalo Chicken pizzas are good and filling. As for appetizers, calamari was soggy but I highly recommend mozzarella sticks.

came here one night with my boyfriend because the olive garden next door was way too packed. the food was okay. the service wasn't great either. the waitress wasn't that familiar with the menu and she wasn't really present unless we called another waiter for service. the only thing i like coming here for is their pazookie! yummmm. so delicious. a plate of cookie with a scoop of ice cream on top. other than that, i'd rather eat at home.

Don't get me wrong...I do like this place, it's just that there are so many better places out there. It is however a pretty good place for a "deep dish pizza". I like their slightly greasy thick crust...... and their Pizookie is to die for. I usually order the BJ's Special Pizza, but thought I'd be daring and try something new.....Getting out of my shell and comfort zone!! haha We ordered the cheeseburger pizza. I was a little scared. I didn't feel too safe having American cheese on my pizza..but it was gosh darn good. It's great for groups and they have nice selections of HH appetizers.

The service!!! My cousin visited from Korea and my family wanted to go to an American restaurant close by. My parents got to the restaurant first and put our name down for reservations. They hostess told us about 30 mins. We waited for a good 40-50 minutes before we were called... a group that came before us, also with a party of 5, got seated way before we did. So we were finally seated at this awkward shaped corner booth. We got our menus and was trying to order, but it was SO DAMN LOUD in the restaurant. There was a birthday party for a baby right next to us and the baby was screeching and yelling because she wanted to take off her shirt. I understand she's just a baby, but as parents, shouldn't they have done something about it? All they did was laugh and point for a good 10 minutes of the screeching until they finally let the baby do what she wanted to do. So we order amidst all the noise and chaos and receive our food. The food was good and portions were enough. What we hoped would be a good family dinner, turned out to be a chaotic, noisy, out-of-control dinner. We ate and left as quickly as we could.

Tuscan Chicken Limone was not up to par when I ordered it this time :( there was too less sauce and still too much oil! Asked for more spinach/veggies and got the same portions! Aye aye aye!

The competence of one of our servers here was awful. It was happy hour, and we sat at the bar for the happy hour specials, and we ordered from the happy hour menu, while asking about what they may offer for happy hour drinks. See where I am going here? Then when we get our check we notice, she didn't give us the happy hour price for one of our orders. When. We ask her about it, she says "oh you guys were looking off the regular menu so I assumed you wanted the regular order. Because this spinach artichoke is actually bigger than the happy hour one. So I billed the regular not the happy hour one." What ever happened to asking instead of assuming? Needless to say we did dock her tip since, this "mistake" shouldn't have happened in the first place. Why would we order a regular-order when we ordered everything else on the happy hour menu while asking about the prices about items on the happy hour menu. All I wanted to do was get a snack, not pay 30+ for a mistaken meal. Another thing is, different servers passed by at least 15 times before my little sister had a refill on her empty soda. This was a good 15+ min, we were near the kitchen so they were passing us a lot. Oh best part was, there were about 5 groups of 2-4 people in the restaurant total. So we didn't come in at a super busy time. I did notice the waitress chatting it up with the bartender most of the time though. For the service and the handling of the situation, I don't think I'll go to this branch of BJs again. And who serves warm beer?! It was sitting on the bar top for a while before it was given to our table. Never coming here again. I have had better service elsewhere. This particular location left me disappointed with the BJ's chain restaurants. I'm sure the waitress knew she was wrong because she kept coming back while my boyfriend and I discussed the amount of tip we were going to give her. She checked up on us more often when we were discussing her tip versus the whole afternoon we were there for drinks and food.

I have always loved BJ's. They have decent customer service at this location, but the food is spectacular (as per always). The best part of this restraunt is how empty it was! My friends and I came in on a Friday night and it was so calm it was amazing.

  • Melissa Y.

If I could give 1 star, I would. I remember why I don't come here anymore, the workers were extremely rude to me and my friends. We arrived at the bar and could not find an open place, usually servers come and ask how many and try to help us find a table but not in this case. We managed to find a table and added a chair to a 2 person table. However, once seated a server came by and rudely told us he needed to get by without saying excuse me or being polite. That just ruined my thought about this place. If they had nicer staff, then I would be back but I won't.

Well, we all know this place is average. Just stating a fact. Good for big groups & parties. Not good if you're looking for the most delicious food. Yesterday, I came to this location with my sister for lunch, and it just affirmed my belief that it's simply a mediocre restaurant at best. Yeah, it's fun for large groups on Friday or Saturday nights because of the loud, buzzing ambiance. But negative points for the food. My Caesar salad was drenched in dressing. And that's an understatement -- I could barely see the green lettuce. Yes, it had that much dressing. Ewes. Anyways, i've been to quite a few BJ's restaurants all throughout California, and I must say they need some sort of quality control. The BJ's in Huntington Beach is much better than the one in Arcadia in terms of salads, sandwiches, and main entrees. Trust me, it is. They need to prepare the food with more care at the Arcadia location, that's all i'm saying. Well, if you have a large group and you have nowhere to go, i'd come here. If all fails, the Pizookies are good.

Bj's is the best place to celebrate-anytime! Their food is delicious-especially the potato skins and stuffed mushrooms, and their new Fried Chicken Breasts are so good! The service at BJ's (especially from Valerie and Katie) is top notch and they go over and above to make everyone feel special! We come to BJ's for every special occasion and are never disappointed! If you want to treat anyone, from child to senior, you can't miss with BJ's!

Usually if the food is even remotely worth eating, we give it a score of at least 2. That is why this BJ's gets a 1. Environment is extremely LOUD, so you can not hear anyone at your table. The food is terrible! We ordered the gluten free pizza due to having severe gluten intolerance. We stressed to the waiter how important it is to get the gluten free right so I don't get ridiculously sick, and after about an hour wait, the server brings out a big, fat, greasy, gluten full regular pizza. Thank goodness we asked if it was gluten free and didn't trust that they would bring out the right food. We had to send it back for the gluten free pizza and wait another 20 minutes. After about an hour 20 mins, we realized it was NOT WORTH THE WAIT- greasy (literally the pizza was drenched in grease), nasty texture, no flavor, HUGE globs of cheese. Baked potato was dry and came with basically nothing. The only decent thing was the bottomless lemonade, which tasted like the frozen stuff you can buy at the supermarket. Even my husband who eats food off the floor said this place was terrible. Yucky.

This place is no bueno. The food is very heavy and I'm not a fan of food that makes me feel bloated and fat. Service is fine and if you're just going for drinks you'll do great. If you share some appetizers with friends and you share, you might also leave feeling ok. If you're looking for a nice place for a date, don't bother, you'll leave feeling like a cow. How about some lighter options BJ's?

This BJ's is pretty awesome. I have lost count on how many times I have frequented this establishment this past summer. Oh well! The most recent time was when we were next door at Olive Garden and couldn't stand the wait. Thus we walked right into BJ's and was seated IMMEDIATELY. The waitress wasn't super attentive but she was very friendly. She also honored a special offer that we had (since we were BJ's club members). I usually like ordering the Grilled chicken/broccoli/cheese baked potato, but this time I had their thai mango salad. It was delicious with the right amount of avocado. I also tried my BF's burger and skinny fries and it was just as good. I also recommend their pizzas, although I haven't had any as of late. As for the drinks: BJ's also has great berry cider, and they serve Wyder's ciders too! These are my Go-to. As for appetizers, I recommend: the avocado eggrolls, the spinach stuffed mushrooms (although it won't be too filling), and the nachos. (but be forewarned, that is over 1000+ calories). All in all, this place is my Go to! Whether it's with the BF, or graduate school classmates, it got me through this last semester of my master's degree program with its yummilicious food and drinks. Great Service, Dry Pizza. Went here today to celebrate my godson's football win. Originally was going to Olive Garden next door, but the wait was 45 minutes. BJ's seated the 6 of us right away. We all ordered different things. I ordered the small Gourmet deep dish 5 meat pizza. Unfortunately, it was the driest pizza I had ever tasted, and was only able to eat one slice. We looked in vain for some evidence of sauce, but found none. When we mentioned it to the server, I got the distinct impression that her attitude was "too bad, so sad". However she must have told the manager because shortly he was at our table apologizing. He said that they keep the sauce light unless the customer requests extra. Believe me, there was NO sauce on the pizza. To his credit, the manager took the pizza off the bill, without a request from us. I still give 5 stars for the great service, and my companions all liked the food they had.

BJs is a classic for me. I've been frequenting this place since high school, but the one thing that the economy, specifically the recession, has affected is the size of their free birthday pizOooOOkies. Before, way back when, it came as a full entree size, but now they shrunk it down to a mini. I'm still not gonna complain too hard on free. Those things are delicious btw. Get one with half chocolate chip and half white macadamia nut. That'll satisfy your sweet tooth ferociously. The pizzas are really where it's at. You absolutely can't go wrong with the BJ's favorite. It's deep dish and served in just that a deep dish. Others that I've tried that are also worth mentioning are the classic combo, and BBQ chicken altho the bbq chicken was a bit too tangy for me. Their salads and other appetizers are just okay. The italian sausage and basil flatbread is surprisingly good. They have a generous selection of beers to choose from and service has always been great. If you want to catch a sports game of some sort they got tv's plasters all around the restaurant. Great spot to come with friends as the environment is generally really lively. Just be weary that the noise level can get kind of loud.

The nighttime chill place for local students. I used to roll in with my friends for some good ROOT beer fun (pre-21) and some delicious Great White Pizza. FREE pizookie(cookie pizza covered in ice cream) on your "birthday." HINT HINT. Waiting staff revolves as local students quit and get hired, but lots of beer selections and $5 personal pizzas during happy hour make me a happy boy.

I travel all over the US and this is the second and last time I come to this place. No WiFi means I can't connect while on the road. While there the other people at the bar also chimed in there frustration along with the work staff. I was a little vocal and the management at this facility should be banned from the Internet for there ignorance. I'll never go here again. Staff was courteous.

Absolutely love this place, Was my first time coming here. (been to the one in modesto but one time). Anywho came with a friend. Great service. Great drinks. The food was amazing. I will most definitely come here again. That is for sure.

This was definitely a below par dining experience. There were 9 of us altogether. Our server went on break shortly after taking our order; the person who took over never refilled our drinks until after we waved down another person because they had been empty for so long. My brother in law had to cancel his wine order because she never came back with it and he was already finished with his steak. We repeatedly had to ask for refills and rarely saw any servers in our section. Terrible customer service.

This place is great, for small groups and large. They have long banquet tables that you can reserve, and I've come here with parties of 20+ a few times already. For appetizers, the avocado egg rolls are amazing, and I don't even like avocado that much. Their pastas are pretty decent for a restaurant of their kind; my dad thought the shrimp scampi was quite good. The deep dish pizzas aren't as good as Chicago's of course, but they're decent enough for a restaurant in California. The Great White pizza is probably my favorite. For dessert, if you manage to make it that far, the pizookie will definitely satisfy you. Service is not bad, although the waitress mixed up some of my party's drinks once. No biggie. Oh, and they also have a bunch of wide screen TVs, so I could watch the Lakers destroy the Celtics last season.

A chain that holds a special place in my heart for my younger brother and me. It was the first place we visited in California after driving across the country for his big move. We ate there the first night and the night before I flew back to DC. *tear* Great food and drinks. The chocolate chip pizzookie was a nice finish to our meal as well.

We were there on Friday July 11 and frankly was disappointed with the service. It was early around 4P, not crowded. My sister had ordered a Dirty Martini with Gray Goose, extra olives. Upon sipping it she knew it was wrong (plus there were no olives in it). We called over the server who brought another server who was taking over our table. The new server said he can tell by smelling it if it was correct. Well of course his nose said it was but my sis who drinks these things when she can said no it isn't. He did return it and a new one was brought out to us. They did not bring out the appetizer ordered before our meal but with the meal. When I said it to the girl she said oh. Put it on the table and walked away. They never brought my sisters salad so at the end of the meal we had them deduct it. I had a pizza but found no sauce on it and it was undercooked. Overall I am a fan of BJ's at the Paso Mall in Pasadena, and by my home in Vegas. This one I would avoid. Just something wrong with the whole experience.

Always a fan of BJ's! It was a little loud (probably because the Oscars were on) but all in all, I had a good experience. We actually ordered our food to go because I was so sick. Our server was nice and boxed it up right away for us.

Trade memories from moments Treat love to be lonely Guess that's just the man in me Blame it on..BJ's RESTAURANT AND BREWHOUSE! - usher (fooling around) Random observation - I realized at this restaurant that i will never ever ever beat anyone in finishing a meal, especially if i had to eat the same amount of food as them - it would be impossible. Another random observation: I've never reviewed this chain before, even though I've been here a handful of times. We ordered some kind of long thin crust pizza thing and it would've been more than enough for me as a meal lol. It had basil on it and looked light and tasted fantastic. I wanted to order the fish tacos but was made aware that if they were fried - its not healthy for you...so i asked and lone and behold they were...lol damn so i ordered the grilled shrimp tacos. It was a little messy and i could only finish one and a half of em (so at least i didnt look too bad that i was gettin outeaten by a mile) I heard their dessert cookie was a huge selling point for them but needless to say we had no room for dessert so with enough willpower, we decided to pass. p.s. - i know what an arnold palmer is now! Food: 3.5 stars --- Service: 5 stars --- Atmosphere: 3.5 stars --- Price(value): 4 stars

The food was delicious.. I mean you can NEVER go wrong with a pazookie, but at this particular BJ's I felt our waitress constantly went to other tables and served them before us even after we had already ordered before them. Maybe it was just the waitress or maybe she was just having an off night, but this particular waitress was slow and not very efficient! I might go to a different BJ's next time I crave a pazookie!

The Pizzookie deserves a 5. warm right out of the oven cookie with ice cream on top?! Their menu has changed over the years, but what can you expect with a chain restaurant. That's inevitable. My favorite sandwich used to be their bbq chicken sandwich, but they changed the bread and it just hasn't been the same since. Their pizzas are pretty decent. deep dish style. overall, it's a place I frequent since it's rather convenient, and the food is pretty good.

+Good food +Good service +Nice Ambiance I come to this BJ's about once a week. It's one of the best places around to just enjoy a beer, talk and have some decent food. I've never had to send anything back due to poor quality, under cooked or over cooked f

Came here during happy hour the other day. Even though it wasn't busy, the service was pretty slow. It seemed like it took a long time to get our drinks, when all we ordered we some shots (room-temperature albeit). The food is decent and you generally can't go wrong with anything fried.

We went to the restaurant on July 4. The place was not very crowned, but the waitress looked a little bit overwhelming and slow. She took the wrong beverage. More importantly, We saw the weird sticker or paper in the cup. If the date were not holiday, my aunty would tip her under the standard.

This used to be like my second home. My friends and I would come here twice a week just to hang out and drink beer. The service back then was pretty good then one night... a bad experience happened... please note that this was a long time ago, but I'd thought I'd share it with you guys. (It does not effect my current rating) My friends and I like to consume beer... like a lot of beer, but we're not light weights. So one night we exceeded the, what they call the maximum beer limit, so the manager stopped us from ordering more pitchers. None of us were even drunk, or even close to it! That manager was the main reason why we stopped going. Not sure how that effected their business because we used to go in with at least 15 people. So we went from going 2-4 times a week to not going at all. When we found out that manager left, we started going back again... Never forget! haha Today, it still stands as one of my preferred hang out spots even though we don't hang out as much anymore (*sigh... the good ol days...). Still I'm a fan of this BJ's

walked in. stood around for a good 5 min into any empty bj's i had to be the one to approach an employee to be ASKED to be sitted. bjs employee then tried to sit me at the bar (i had walked in with a baby, mom, and younger sister) so no i wouldn't know why they would suggest that.. i asked for a booth (girl rolled her eyes) as soon as we were sitted no waiter waited on us for about 20 mins. finally after someone approaching us the girl seemed wack with no energy and just very unpleasing at which point who the fudge would hire that type of person for this type of setting (it definitely does not make me want to come back at this location for sure) she didn't really give us or asked us for we were ready to order she just walked away without say. 10 mins later we apparently have a different waiter who was just as bad. i hope they didn't spit in my food. this location was the worse experience ever! i should have went to mcdonalds instead they have better people skills. i want my time and money back.

I highly recommend making reservations if you have a party of 4 or more. Luckily, I came with just one other person and we were seated right away. This place gets BUSY FAST. There's a cocktail bar located in the center of the restaurant, which is great for watching any type of sports game. I ordered the fish tacos, but they weren't that great. Avacado egg rolls are delicious. I think the pizzas taste better here and definitely order the pizooki with white chocolate macadamia nuts and vanilla ice cream. I don't really eat chocolate, so I eat around it and it goes great with vanilla ice cream! MMmmm. Servers are quick, which is good. The menu is huge, so you'll have to go back multiple times to see what items are best. This place is good for young crowds or group settings.

BJ's is probably my favorite big chain restaurant. But not even because of the food really. I love their pizookies. And that's bad really, because it's totally something you can make on your own. It's just a giant cookie with ice cream on top. Somehow BJ's has perfected it and made it taste like bliss. Warm and soft with the right amount of gooeyness paired with the coldness of a scoop of ice cream. Ahhhh. I always step into that place with the same plan. Eat an appetizer or half my entrée and save as much room for the pizookie as possible. Since I'm usually the only one who likes to order dessert, I end up having to share with the other people in the party. Let me tell you, it hurts. But I don't want to be known as the selfish person who didn't offer to share her dessert. After everyone's had some, I happily dig in. It's one of my few indulgences. Food-wise, I rarely go for dinner. At lunch they have specials so I stick to those. The mini one topping deep dish pizza is good and comes with soup or salad. The sliders are filling. They come with wedge cut or crispy fries. This last time I had half of a chicken sandwich with soup (clam chowder). All quite wonderful. And under $10. Strawberry lemonade is also my drink of choice. We've never had any problems with service either. A definite thumbs up all around.

The BJ in Arcadia sometimes has its perks but it sometimes also lacks service. The other day i had a waiter that felt like he didn't want to be there at all. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT???? and to make the matters worse when I ordered a pasta it didn't come with the meat and they charged us same price. The one in Arcadia is not the one to go to but I do suggest the one in Pasadena.

My 5 star rating is for our server, Eric DeMond! I tried to write a review on the restaurant website, but the website was not easy to work with. So I am writing on Yelp. My husband and I eat at BJ's Arcadia every week. Tonight was the first time we had Eric DeMond served us. He is by far the BEST server! We spent 7 times more money at the Parkway Grill Restaurant in Pasadena 2 weeks ago, but the service was not as good as the service we received tonight from Eric at BJ's Arcadia. I hope someone from the restaurant will see this post and let the BJ's restaurant management know about this valuable employee!

It's BJ's: Great beer to go with their food. I usually sit at the bar (it's full service) and get a few beers and an appetizer. I like coming here instead of going to some of the dive bars in the area.

Typical BJ's fare and pricing. This place gest packed...it is a great business. Avoid their mozzarella cheese sticks -- they are pretty bad. The pizza is really tasty, and their craft beer is very good. Enjoy!

Thankfully this location recently remodeled, and restyled their beer selection! (I love beer, but I just cannot seem to like any of the BJ's brews...) I'm very happy to say that they have added more good draft selections to their beer offerings!! AND BJ's may have the best happy hour food of all time. That is the sole reason it is a staple happy hour place for me and my sports-loving boyfriend. We love to stake out spots during NBA Finals or MNF or just a regular old Wednesday after work. We think BJ's has the best chicken wings around. To accompany those amazing wings, we vary between a mini favorite pizza, nachos, or my new fav on HH - pork sliders. (You GOTTA try those - with the pulled pork and onion ring strings... OOH WEE!) I also love that their HH goes until 7:00 p.m. weekdays. It can get pretty crowded sometimes, but just try to get there ASAP before 7, and you should have a wonderful experience!

Always a great pick for lunch! Today I had the pleasure of being served by Keith A. I ordered a Ceasar salad, requested no croutons. The salad arrived with the unordered croutons and Keith stepped up for the mistake and offered a free bowl of soup after apologizing for the misstep. He had a great attitude and is big on customer service.

Great service, food, and environment to hang out with friends! There is a high variety of food selection and they are also good. You have televisions everywhere making it a great sports watching environment. The waiters were also very polite and always asked if everything was alright. Overall, it's a perfect place to watch that Sunday night game with your friends!

I've been to several BJs establishments. This was the very first one I had ever gone to. It's been years since I've been back. And I have to say my experience here was just mediocre, probably won't come back to this one in particular. It was super bright in there. We came here randomly because Souplantations line was out the door and starting to wrap around the building and the wait at Olive Garden was almost an hour. The beers are always good here and the food was tasty. We had the Shrimp Lettuce Wraps and a BJs favorite pizza. We mentioned and pointed several times to our server that we wanted a small pizza. But our server ended up putting in our order as a medium instead and we just paid for it and took the leftovers home. It really shouldn't be called a deep dish. It's just a regular pan pizza. We got my early birthday mini p'zookie which was yummy!

3.5 Stars (Rounded Up) This BJ's is across the street from the Embassy Suites where I was staying. After I checked into the hotel and called Gayle, I wandered over and sat in the bar to watch the Red Sox pull out an 8-7 victory over the Rays. Great game, but ultimately not enough to get Boston into the World Series again. Both the beer and the pesto appetizer pizza were yummy, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. This place was a good solid choice and would gladly come here again.

Hungry for BJs No, not that kind, you sicko. Oh.em.gee, need food. Order big sandwich. Shove into mouth like caveman. Oh.em.gee, so full. Yum yum pizookie. Willing to eat without spoon. Cookie and ice cream. Haikus are easy. But sometimes they don't make sense. Refrigerator.

[Hold on, I have to wait 'till my cousins stop laughing at the name of this place... Okay, ready now.] Came here on a Friday evening, with the skies pouring down outside. Parking is always awful here around this time, and the rain didn't help the situation. There was a line of people waiting to be seated. Our party of 3 were told that the wait would be 30 minutes, but then we ended up only having to wait perhaps 10. The ambiance of this place is loud. Can hardly hear yourself think. They have a lot of big screen TVs... too bad you can't hear any of it. There have been times when I've come here and just got an okay experience, but this time around... I ordered the California Burger. The traditional buns are replaced with garlic toast. Inside is a half-pound Angus patty with avocado, green chilies, pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayonnaise and ranch dressing. And while there felt like there was something missing that could have made it over-the-top epicness (perhaps something as simple as lettuce?), it was still rather awesome. I love this burger. I had their strawberry lemonade. I tend to order this drink a lot at different places. It was okay, but still doesn't beat Red Robin's version with their awesome twirly cup and bits of strawberries inside. Their famous Pizookie, a giant cookie topped with vanilla ice cream, is too much for one person. I've only had it once, and dare not to try it again. Perhaps if you're with a large party... The next time I crave their California Burger, I may consider doing their Curbside Take Out. Enjoy the burger without the hassles of waiting and the loudness.

Just bad. Dishes that they brought were dirty as well as utensils. There were cheese particles stuck on the plate. We ordered chicken fetticini Alfredo. Chicken was not even cooked on a few pieces. Told the waitress which got the manager. Manager Asked if we want a new one cooked or something else. We kept the same dish since we were craving for it. When they brought back the plate they removed the chicken that was not cooked and gave us the plate back. Waitress never came back to our table after that. Our cups had no water and had to flag down another waitress.

This is a decent B.J's with much better service than the other ones I have been to. I was sat almost immediately for lunch with some clients and had no problems. Our server was pretty hot so I was happy :) All I got was a salad which was good but not great. I usually don't have salad but wanted to try it out here, I really wouldn't recommend it. Everything else I probably have had at other locations. Parking sucks at lunch, badly. good luck finding a spot.

Foods great, if it wasnt for bad service it would be a 4 or a 5 (lets call it 4 1/2) But our waiter completely forgot about us, i read his lips as someone reminded him he was our waiter he said (oh shit i forgot about them) (his names devon) Im not sure but our guess was that they put all the shity waiters for lunch hours. The food on the otherhand was pretty legit. Do yourself a favor and try either the soup, brocolii and cheese is as good as it gets, or tomato soup. Chicken fingers and fries were amazing....GET THE BUFFALO SAUCE it was a 10/10. Summary for lazy people : Food = Good. Service = Bad. Devon sucks

I like BJ's.... If your feeling pizza you can never go wrong with the Great White. They have this new dinner entre, oven roasted talapia topped with tomato olive and served with rice pilaf and baby greens. I would ask the fish to be prepared medium rare so the fish will not come out dry. This plate has less than 500 calories btw. Jeremiah RED!! Enjoy.

  • Josh P.

I got the porkchops and they were absolutely delectable. They were moist, flavorful, and the baked apples that came with it were the note that put it over the top. The mashed potatoes on the other hand were dry, practically flavorless, and nothing (not even a pat of butter) came with them. They were literally hard to swallow. The beer here has won many awards, and I can see why. My wife had the hef, and I had the red. Both were so amazing that if we weren't driving we would have ordered a pitcher of each. It's a cozy atmosphere and the food is better than almost every chain restaurant I've been to so I would definitely recommend it.

When my husband and I went here for dinner I ordered their Angus Pot Roast Sandwich which is one of the items featured on their 'Knife & Fork Sandwiches' menu; amazing. The pot roast was cooked to perfection then covered in a hearty mushroom gravy along with their white cheddar mashed potatoes all on a fresh French roll. Whats not to love? To drink, I had their Harvest Hefeweizen. I will be going back for this beer alone. The service was fantastic, the food was awesome and the beer, heavenly.

We haven't been here for quite a while, so we decided to come back. We were very disappointed. The wait was long about a half an hour, and when the time came they didn't have the right table. We didn't want to wait another half hour so we settled for that table. My mom was with us and was in a wheelchair, it didn't fit at our table, so she had to get up and sit in the booth, it was difficult. The service was very long, the tea wasn't good, and the food was average. I don't what they fry their food with, but it leaves a bad aftertaste. Mental note: don't eat anything fried there. We should get the baked potato next time.

This is my first time ever trying BJ's!. I know, i'm late...i've been living under a rock, okay? :)...anyways, I came here for a birthday dinner. The inside was very neatly decorated. The staff was very friendly. And the waiter was for sure a A rating. Everytime, we needed a refill, he will help us. I tried the New Orleans Jambayala, (first time trying jambayala as well). and wow so much flavor. I would go back just to have that dish again. My girlfriend had the grilled porkchop, and i never tasted so much flavor inside before. I tried before on pork lion and failed! so i know how hard it is to get flavor inside. but anyways, i had a great experience, despite that i went during the raining week of southern california. I would come back here again. Price wise...the entrees are like any other places....$10-15 for dinners.. Drinks $2-4 Btw, I tried the pazookie....yummy! hot cookie + ice cream.... enough...u go try it!

I used to absolutely love this place. In high school, whenever my friends and I would meet for dinner, we would come here. It's conveniently located, lots of parking, lots of food. Good times. On the downside, however, I think we OD'd on this place and cannot come back for a few more years :P But it's a good place to go to with friends. They have quite a lot of seating, and there is a large bar in the middle surrounded by TVs which is nice if there's a game on that you want to catch. On the weekends the place can get pretty crowded so you will want to make a reservation if you have a decent sized party. My favourite part about BJs is their pizookie. I *love* their pizookies. It is just so nice and warm and delicious!!! Which is why I used to always go there on my birthday, because they give you the pizookie for free then :D Their other menu items are good too. They have pretty much faded from my memory, but I think they give a lot of food. Their pizzas are good, of course. And their drinks aren't bad either. The pizookie is still the best though ;) Hmmmm.. now I want a pizookie..

My first time at a BJ's and it was very yummy. The food is tasty and the portions are big. The Pizookie desert is good but very sweet. You constantly have to be drinking liquid so it could go down. They gave pizza slice appetizers while we waited to be seated. They were so good, it's almost like pizza from Pizza Hut. Service could've been better. We ordered the desert and the waitress took about 10-15 minutes, and still got the order wrong. So we had to wait another 10 minutes. It's a little noisy in there, or maybe it depends on the time you go. If you go on a date, and the guy is into sports, BJ's is not the place to go lol. There's TV's everywhere.

We been here 8-9 times with relatives and friends to watch the games. Their burgers are really delicious and juicy!! but since this is a chain restaurant and brewery, I wouldn't order anything too difficult from this restaurant, like filet mignon or even pastas. I like the environment and good service is always in. Foods I tried: pizzas- 3/5 ahi salad- 4/5 but tiny proportions. (they want to starve me?) burgers- 5/5 to die for! Very juicy meat! kids menu- all ok. Clam chowder- salty We almost always had pleasant service.

  • Ben K.

Considering what is available in the immediate area, this almost deserves 3 stars - though in a more populated area we'd be down around 2. Classic American sports bar style food, executed fine, and priced commensurate with similar places in LA. The house beers are reasonably good, though nothing to drive out of the way for. The day I was there, our server was so scattered I'm shocked we got anything. Nearly every order was slightly wrong, delayed or handed to the wrong person. That said, the place was nearly 1/4 full, so I'm sure they were super busy.

good, way better than Olive Garden's wait time and service. The host at BJ even offered to bring back the O.G. pager I had in hand.., lol This food is consistent in taste, service good, parking sucks... everything else here is fine.

We had an amazing experience last night, our waiter Jerron was the bomb! They seated his section all at once and he handled it with ease. We shared appetizers and my husband has a burger that was cooked perfectly. We eat here about twice a month and will be back!

I'm strictly writing this review on their new menu item. Like many other yelpers Bj's pizza is amazing and what I normally get. Well I wanted to try to get something new I had a gift card and figured why not...... Well I was very disappointed I tried the new Tuscan Chicken Limon Pasta. It sounded really good sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, lemon butter and garlic. Well I did not taste any lemon at all, the pasta noodles were really dry and the chicken was a bit mushy since it's breaded. I actually added lemon and some other ingredients just to make it more saucy. I really did have high hopes for this dish. Maybe it was my fault for ordering it to go but normally pasta is not a dad thing for takeout. This is one dish I will not be trying again... Stick with their pizza and beer you can't go wrong!

Service is always great here. Their food portions are worth the price. I always like their desserts. I use to only order the pizookie, but now I like their mini dessert to try different items. The service here is a lot better than Montebellow. To not have to wait for seating just go into your app for BJ'S and put down your name and time you are showing up. Calling is OK too, but if they day they're not busy and you can just walk in, I would make a time online because when we walked in the lace bad a lot of people waiting. I'm glad I went into my app.

Good place for large groups, lots of shareable items. Prices are debatable---some stuff isn't worth the cost. I usually head over here for some appetizers and drinks---their lettuce wraps are pretty good. I don't do many entrees here---I used to, but they just weren't leaving the greatest taste in my mouth and hated paying for something that was just mediocre at best. Their pizzas are okay, their salads are meh--not a huge fan of their sandwiches. Their big ass baked potatoes aren't TOO disappointing but I do love their pizookies! Damn those cookies. Not my first choice when it comes to lunch/dinner but if I'm around the area and can't make up my mind, I end up here. Their drinks aren't too bad either, FYI. Oh and the staff is 50/50...some of them are pretty awesome and some of them are just big strugglers.

Went here the other night with my husband. It was just okay. Ordered the Calamari and it's not as good as bucca di beppo. I ordered pizza it was good.. but when I had the leftovers today, it taste like pizza hut, yuck! My husband ordered the jalepeno burger and that was really good! So, overall these three stars are for the burger, YAY!

One word: pizookie! Either a pizookie trio or a good ol' regular sized pizookie, deliciousness is located at BJ's. Good: Great service, cleanliness, and great food. Bad: Parking and lines can get bad here. Final: Pizookie...yum!

we frequent bj's because they make some pretty decent gluten free food for my son. the place tends to be a bit too noisy. the wait staff can be a little rushed as it does get busy. they tend to have a few goofs once in a while, but overall, the food is pretty good. i like the chicken bbq salad. one time, all of our glasses were split / broken and we ended up getting some excuse that the dishwasher gets them too hot, then the cold tea cracks the glass. ugh...not my problem. another time, all of the cloth napkins were damp and smelled a bit, so when i asked about it, the manager informed me that they had been out in the shed and got rained on. ??? i guess that was okay with them. another time they forgot to bring out some of our food....then when we asked about it, they attempted to bring it after the rest of our party was done eating....no thanks, we're leaving now. so there are some weird problems that pop up, but the food is good....and gluten free.

Came here for our weekend family dinner on Saturday night. The place was crowded but the wait wasn't bad. Our server was nice and friendly. The appetizers that we got, avocado egg rolls, crispy calamari, Santa Fe spring rolls and the flat bread pizza were all delicious and I highly recommend them. The Salmon and the Caesar salad were also great, but their Sirloin and the lobster tails were a bit dry. Overall, I do recommend the place and will be coming back soon.

My colleagues and I wanted to enjoy a pleasant lunch together on a Friday afternoon after a long week, so I decided we should go to BJs restaurant in Arcadia. We ordered our drink and a few entrees; however one of my colleagues didn't like one of the pizzas we ordered. Our group wanted her to enjoy it as well so I raised my hand for assistance to place another order. While my hand was raised I made direct eye contact with Tom Cooper the general manager for the Arcadia BJs, dead straight in the eyes. He looked at me for a moment and then looked away pretending he didn't see me, but I was still looking at him straight in his face while he was trying to peek with the corner of his eye to see if I was still looking his way. I was disgusted on how a general manager can be so lazy. He wasn't even doing anything while I was observing him 10 feet away. When my coworker asked if she can order something while I was still staring at him, he finally came around and then we repeated ourselves if we can place an order. I was baffled when he answered "uhmm... uhmm.." and was looking around not even making direct eye contact as in he doesn't know what to do. Tom didn't even ask us what would we like to order and was just trying to look around for a server or someone. The server finally came around and asked what would we like and we informed him a combo pizza. Suddenly Tom responds oh.. he will take over and wanders off. While Tom was wandering off I was observing what was he doing, not to my surprise he was walking 15 feet away and was just socializing with the host for a bit and walked around a little and didn't ever lift a finger to help any of his colleagues out. I felt he was truly racist, shy, and lazy beyond belief. Our server did fine, but the experience with that manager was horrific and how he pretended he didn't notice me with the corner of his eye by looking away really quick, just very disappointing. I'm sorry, I majored in management and if this is the expectations to be a General Manager at BJs, I truly believe based on Tom Cooper's demeanor and how he handled himself, a high school student can do it. I truly thought BJs had higher standards. I work for a corporation who deals with a great deal of clients everyday as well as my colleagues. I would never eat at Arcadia's BJs again unless management changes and if my clients and coworkers ask why I would not dine at BJs in Arcadia anymore I would inform them about the racist experience I had there and will encourage others to avoid that eatery while there are many other delightful selections around town. I will inform friends of friends about the experience and will encourage them not to go to BJs. Hopefully by then the company's profits will dwindle until they replace that manager who was so disrespectful and awfully racist in his approach to minorities, trying to avoid eye contact at all cost. This story of my visit may just go in the deleted files, at least whom ever is reading this is aware of such a poor leader. I didn't know titles were given away so easily at such an established restaurant. Thank you for your time and hope others will not experience such racist behavior. I did not know we were still living in the stone ages.

Always have great food here. Service was great as well. We had the Caprese salad starter, chicken tortilla soup, potroast, and pizooUkie with ice cream for dessert. Berry cider is my favorite. Can come with friends or my kid and we always have great choices.

Wow, they've really revamped their menu. Every entree shows the calorie count next to it. Extremely helpful, though I'm sure most people try not to look at it. I tried the Chicken a la fresca from their "Enlightened Entrees" menu. Marinated chicken breast w/ rice pilaf and a ratatouille with Dijon taragon au jus on top. That sauce was flavorful and light. I felt good about resisting their pizzas for once. But at the end of the night, I did share the red velvet pizookie. I wasn't a big fan of it-- I think the white chocolate chips have got to go. Red velvet w/ cream cheese mixed in the batter and vanilla ice cream on top should be sufficient enough. If they wanted something diff, they could've added cheesecake flavor ice cream on top or something. But the white choco chips just straight up made it too darn sweet. Bleh! Definitely needed a glass of milk.

The food here is always good- I've never had anything that I didn't like. My two favorites here are the BBQ chicken pizza and just a plain cheese pizza with tomatoes. The appetizer sampler is also fantastic. I'm not going to lie, I think the BBQ chicken pizza here is better than the BBQ chicken pizza at CPK. Ok...hold the eggs...BEFORE you throw them at me, let me just say that I think what sets the BBQ pizza apart from CPK's here is the fact that they have stewed tomatoes on theirs. I think what attracts me is the sweetness of the tomatoes because I feel that it complements the rest of the flavors very well. I'm totally fine with CPK's version, this just seems like a different but more delicious twist. (Well, I guess it's not really much of a twist since the only thing different about it is the tomatoes.) The pizookies are good- I like the Ghirardelli Chocolate one, even though sometimes it can be a little bit too rich. Sometimes, service can be a little bit slow when the restaurant is jam packed and the quality goes down a tad. I once came at 11 pm on a Saturday night and got the pizookie trio. Because I was so impressed by the Ghirardelli pizookie, I came back on a Saturday evening and ordered a regular sized pizookie. It wasn't very warm; I guess it wasn't in the oven for long enough. Oh well, the food here is frign sexy anyway.

This place is a complete disappointment. I've been here at least 4 times within the past 3 months, with co-workers (their choice). Why I thought this place might get better, I have no idea, delusion perhaps. The first time (around January) we came here for Monday Mojito specials. The bartender seems to pour the mojito from a pre-made mojito jug. Tastes like lemonade with mint. I suppose this is what you would expect with a 5 dollar mojito. Do not come here if you follow a Vegan diet. All times I've been here I've scoured the menu for anything vegan... Thus far a salad is the best option. Now let's get to the salads... I ordered an Italian market salad (Minus all meat and diary, seemed like the best choice for toppings) When I received the salad it was 99% ice berg lettuce. The said toppings were meek, and sad looking at best. Kalamata olives looked as thought they had been sitting outside of the jar for weeks (A gross light brown color). Minimal tomatos, red bell peppers, and pepperoncinis. On top of this all I found pieces of bread in my salad, very small pieces... (why?) Bread was no where near the description of the salad, very weird and disgusting. Other than expecting all disappointment from a chain like this, I will say, If you are into and expect a mediocre time, with mediocre (at best) food, mediocre service, mediocre drinks, and mediocre music, by all means go to BJ's

Every time we dine here, we are greeted promptly and cheerfully. Last night was no different. The hosts took our names, quoted a 15 minute wait and off we went to the bar where we were promptly served two fantastic brews. A few sips into our beers, our pager went off and we were whisked away to our table. Again, prompt greetings, beverage and food inquiries and before we knew it, we had a delicious pizza in front of us. We almost always order a large Spinach and Artichoke pizza with grilled chicken and garlic added. We eat a piece or two, share a mouth-watering Pizookie and take the rest of the pizza home. We are not recognized regulars--so the staff is not giving us special treatment. The excellent service and outstanding food can only be a testament to the Management's emphasis on training and quality.

**This is review on the take-out service provided by this location** I wish I could give them a better rating but in this case the lack of good customer service overrides the quality of the food. For the 2nd time in a month my husband and I have ordered food for pick-up and not only did my husband wait for someone to come to the pick-up counter while our food sat under the warmer, when he got home our order was wrong. So we called to let them know we were on our way to return it for a hot and correct order. After trying to explain this several times the kid at the counter offered to just fix it & give us a pazookie. It took a bit of convincing for us to get a conversation with the manager and for him to understand that we weren't going eat cold food. Do you want us to come back and order there again? We have come to the conclusion that the kids at the counter are not required to be educated on the menu or when they check the orders they would know what was missing and what isn't. I am very disappointed because I love their food. But when we are looking for a place to eat destinations who fail to provide us good service both in store and for take out are last on our list.

I went here with my girlfriend not too long ago, and the service was nothing but outstanding! I wasn't expecting our waiter to go above and beyond, and when there was a complication with the registers, he gave us our desert for free! Absolutely recommended.

amazing food, amazing beer, lots of tvs, fantastic service. I come here whenever I'm in the area, i always get the same few things, but sometimes I switch it up. I like to ask the servers what they recommend, and so far, i have not been let down. My server was CAMERON, and to be honest, I don't think they get any better, I asked him what he recommended, and he told me Jambalaya, but I'm not a big fan of jambalaya, he told me to try it with pasta instead of rice. amazing! whenever i go here, i ask personally for Cameron to be my server, I'll even wait a little bit longer if I have too. he's that good. very good personality, and good honest... pretty good looking too.

In my opinion, restaurant chains are usually crap. Don't even get me started about Olive Garden. Oh, a chill just ran down my spine when I thought about...Red Lobster...ay, there it went again...and something else ran down my leg. BJ's, however, is not your typical, craptacular restaurant chain. This BJ's is within walking distance of my house, which is convenient if I'm planning on drinking mass quantities of beer. The beer they brew at BJ's is pretty decent. Certainly not high-quality microbrewed stuff, but it tastes fresh and flavorful. I like the Tatonka Stout and the PM Porter the best. BJ's also has a full bar--we often eat in the bar area to avoid a wait--and they make a damn good margarita, I must say. The food is consistently good and I've always been impressed with the level of service at this very, very busy location. There's always a big crowd on weekend evenings and I've never had bad service. The avocado egg rolls are my favorite appetizer. For dinner, I often get the Cajun chicken stuffed baked potato. I also like the pizza--better than CPK, in my opinion. For dessert, yeah, it's the Pizookie. What kind of diet-smashing monster thought that concoction up? Freaking giant-ass cookie slathered with melting ice cream. Demon! Anyway, I'm glad this place is in the neighborhood. Makes up for all the other lousy joints on Arcadia's restaurant row.

Came here for a friend's bday dinner. Since I had eaten already, I only had an avocado eggroll and white chocolate/chocolate chunks pizookie! The avocado eggroll was bland and disappointing. It was also a bit pricey for what we got $9.95. The white chocolate part of the pizookie was sooooo goooood. Both my friends and I noticed how shallow the cookie pan was. They reduced the amount of cookie so you get less for your money. Service was decent considering we had 13 people in our group.

I normally am a fan of BJ restaurants...love the food and the atmosphere there...but this particular one has got to be the WORST in terms of service. There was a Laker game on at the time and the wait was at least an hour. We decided to wait and noticed groups on the list behind us were being seated. We asked what was going on, they took our pager and asked us to wait to the side to be seated. We waited another 25 mins...they apparently forgot to seat us. While my wife was complaining, I was waiting by the register and overheard that some of the employees have been trying to seat their friends in before the rest of us who have been waiting for over an hour. Once I heard that, I just took my wife and we left for Cheesecake Factory. Will never go to this place again. Mind you, even the manager was there overseeing this disaster and nothing was done.

I love BJ's for lunch. The lunch pizza is a good deal. They also have lunch specials. You can sit at the bar if you do not want to wait for a table, but usually during lunch the wait is reasonable. They have a nice selection of items on the menu.

I've been going here for years so I have a pretty good perspective. Unfortunately it has been going down hill for a while. I can't put my finger on it, it's really a combination of everything...the service and quality of food. Last time here we had a large party. Over half the group either sent their food back or didn't finish what they had because it wasn't as good as it used to be. We even called their corporate office to share our experience. The were very good and responsive. That is why we came back today. The menu has really grown. It seems like they have lost sight of what made them great. The beer selection is still great and good quality. The food is inconsistent. Some says it good others not so much. I have a child that likes Mac-n-cheese. They serve what I am sure is craft mac-n-cheese out of the box. Come on, I can do that at home. I'm sure I will be back because I am hopeful it will get back to the good old days... Just won't be there on a monthly basis like I used to.

This is a great place for deep dish pizza! I particularly liked the BJ's favorite and the Great White Way. Of course you can't go wrong either with the Barbeque Chicken Pizza. Nice ambience for hanging out with beers. The Calzone is a BIG mistake! Guys stick to your pizzas...awful attempt at the calzones...

Every time I go to BJ's its because I forgot that I said I would not go there again. Ordered take away got the "Angus Beef Sliders" to share the "Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo" as an entree and a pizookie for dessert. The sliders were very greasy, the chicken dry the fettuccine looked like it had sat around for an hour and was drying out. (I live 2 minutes away and got there 10 minutes after I ordered) The pizooke was on the verge of being burnt. My fault I couldn't send it back 'cause I took it to go. Waste of $. Much better restaurants close bye.

We were passing through this area while visiting family and had one of the WORST experiences ever with one of the hostesses. (age: late teens/early twenty something, dark mid-length hair, dark features, short stature) When we walked into the restaurant it was fairly busy, but by no means "crazy". The hostess was rude upon entry and had the other host show us to a small bar table in a corner of the bar. Being 6 months pregnant (and showing) I found this to be odd, but then realized that there were a lot of open tables in this establishment and decided to ask for another table. We went back to the hostess and asked for another table. This young obstinate girl was ONE OF THE RUDEST AND MOST UNFRIENDLY people I have ever encountered in the service industry. Being that I have both bar/restaurant management experience, as well as have worked as a bartender, server, and hostess throughout my late teens and twenty something years, I can guarantee that I would have fired, on the spot, any employee who acted like she did to a paying customer. First off, when I asked for another table, she looked at me like I was her worst enemy and then told me that I should have "said something from the beginning because they seat people wherever they want on rotation". Honestly, I'm well versed with rotations you snide little brat and am shocked you even know what the word means. Although our server was very nice, the management seemed overwhelmed and could have cared less about this hostile, (could be racist and sexist), hostess. It's a shame that in today's society we still allow the race card to affect how we serve people in the service industry. If I were someone looking to eat at a restaurant in this area I'd strongly consider choosing Cheesecake, Chili's, Olive Garden, Acapulco, CPK, or another chain restaurant within the 5 mile radius of this establishment. Obviously their customer service at the door is less than to be desired...and watch out for the blatant hostility of the hostess who apparently thinks herself God's gift to the world in her ridiculous bottom of the restaurant chain hostess position.

Not happy with our experience there! Normally BJ's is a standard restaurant - not to good, not to bad...but our last experience was terrible. 40+ Minutes waiting when told 20 minutes. Sat us in a freezing section. When we asked to be moved, the waiter told us to go back up front, without escorting us, then disappeared, leaving us to find out what's going on by ourselves. They, gave away our 2nd table to another lady who was complaining louder than us. Finally, when we sat down, it took forever for the waitress to come and take our order. She thought we were waiting for more in our party?!?! Then, when asked if we can add a few onions onto the salad, she said we'd be charged for that...but didn't want to discount when we didn't want bacon on the potato skins...what's up with that? In fact, she would of thrown on a few onions - it's really no big deal - we were 5 people and probably would of ended up spending $100 for dinner/sodas that night, plus her tip. Needless to say, that was the last straw and we left after wasting all that time. It seemed like that waitress didn't really care - like she's been there for 100 years and was burned out - whatever!

My parents and I were trying to go to Olive Garden but the wait was too long. That's the only reason why we ended up here. The food is decent, as far as chain restaurants go. But the service is horrendous. Actually, I'm only talking about 1 specific waitress there. The others seem to be pretty friendly. She was an older lady (maybe 40-50 years old?). I only say "older" because most of the other servers there are young; teenagers or in their 20's. So if you ever go here and see a waitress that is older, overweight, brown hair, looks like she hates her life, then steer clear. When she took our drink orders I already noticed something off about her. I asked her for an iced tea and she just stared at me before moving on to the next person, no response whatsoever, not even a nod, nothing. But magically an iced tea showed up at our table, so she must've understood what I was saying. Then when she took our orders, my parents ordered the $35 meal for two, which comes with a salad, a soup, 2 entrees, and a dessert. My dad said "We'll have the $35 meal for two", and then he paused and waited for the waitress to acknowledge this. She responded in an annoyed tone "okay... and what?" So my dad proceeded to tell her they wanted the caesar salad and minestrone soup, and she interrupted him and said "no, what entree do you want?" At this point, I was LIVID and about to cuss her out, but I didn't want to embarrass my parents. He let her know what entrees they wanted, and she made them go BACK to the soup and salad. Really, you crazy beyotch? Sorry my dad didn't order his meal in order that you wanted, but you can't remember a soup and salad that was told to you literally 2 minutes ago? No wonder your life career is server at BJ's. She must've realized later what a bitch she was being because she did become nicer towards the end of the meal. 2 stars only for the semi-decent food and awesome pizookie.

I don't usually like to review chain restaurants, but I feel like I can make an exception for BJ's. It has become my favorite American-style chain restaurant... better than Cheesecake Factory, Applebees (Unless I go for half off appetizers in NJ, which is freaking awesome), Chili's, TGIF, and the like, I'd definitely chooese BJ's over all of those. I've been to this location several times and to one in Norcal, and every time, the service has been exceptional. Someone comes by the table frequentyly refilling waters and checking up on us, and the food comes out in a good time. My favorite dish has been the avocado eggrolls. They're pretty oily, but are delicious! The spinach and artichoke pizza is awesome, and if you get a burger, always get the seasoned wedge fries. I've also had one of their cocktails, the Pomegranate Sunrise, and it tasted delicious, not much alcohol feel to it, just sweet and savory. Of course, you gotta have the pizookie (if you have any space left... their dishes are HUGE). I LOVE it... best dessert idea ever. I'm craving some right now... sadly, it's 3:40 in the morning and they're not open. If you're thinking of going to one of those other American bar/grill type restaurants, skip it and check out BJ's. It'll be totally worth it.

One of my favorite chain restaurants. Good deep dish pizza, but the best thing about BJ's is the beer. They brew their own beer and it's very good. The beer makes everything taste better. The portions are huge. Some of their pastas are reasonably good. It gets too crowded on weekends, and they don't accept reservations.

if you like alcohol...this is your spot. if you like fatty food and don't give a crap about your health then again...this is your spot. im not hating on the food or anything but this isn't where you'd go if you want a healthy or even remotely healthy meal. pazookies are friggin amazingly good and so are most other desserts/appetizers. i came here for their buffalo chicken pizza, but it was pretty disappointing...didn't have enough of the buffalo sauce taste and the small but hard celery pieces were very annoying to eat on a pizza. alondra's does it better :\ plus this is on the pricy side for this kind of food.

Great spot for a business lunch (as long as you'll can stand the noise). The food is predictable. Which is a good thing if you travel as much as I do. I like eating here from time to time. I give them a solid three stars for atmosphere and food. 4 stars for their bubbly and attentive staff.

Any business open near Pasadena after the Rose Bowl parade should be staffed for crowds and BJs was NOT. We called ahead which only "cut wait time in half". After half an hour we placed a to go order and waited an hour and a half to receive tasteless cold pizzas, salads, sides, and chicken in the $99 package to serve 8-10.

8/1/09; Saturday; 5pm 3-star food (minus) 1-star service = 2 stars. Dinner with a friend; we got in just before the dinner rush, so there was no wait. Strawberry limonade (don't do it - it's just liquid concentrate with one ounce of water added) and 2 mini-pizzas (delicious, but TINY, really tiny). Both pizzas were yummy, but overpriced @ $10 for each appetizer-sized portion. Good food was overshadowed by bad service. Really bad. "No tip for you/where's the manager" bad. Wow. From the intro, our waiter was angry, sour, and slow. So slow with our drinks, that I finally got up and went to the bar myself. That seemed to alert Mr. Angry that he had a situation on his hands and he went into full fake-nice cover-up mode (layered right on top of the angry). Sorry......too little, way too late. We were asked about dessert right after the food was delivered; the bill came while we were eating. Clearly a table-turning hustle to appease the masses in line outside. I'm rarely in Arcadia for dinner, but the next time, I'll skip this clip joint. p.s. to Mr. Angry Waiter: Honey, I really am sorry that s/he cut up your clothes and left you right before your shift, but please call in sick next time.

I'm pretty new to the area and found BJ's by searching google for breweries near Pasadena. We went on a Saturday night, it was real crowded but we saw two people leaving the bar and swooped in. I started off with the piranha pale ale, it was bitter but not overly hoppy. I was pretty impressed and decided to order a flight and try all of the beers. I don't remember all of them but I do know my least favorite was the blonde. We had the thai shrimp lettuce wraps to start off, don't ask me why but we ordered them bc they were the most healthy appetizer on the menu which doesn't make any sense when you are sitting there crushing beers anyways. They were good but not something I would crave and probably will try something else next time. We also tried a margherita flatbread pizza which was pretty money.

I hate to do this because I love bjs. We eat at bjs about 4 to 5 times a week and primarily at this location. I don't know what has happened here lately as it seems nearly every time we come lately there is some sort of problem with our food, staffing levels, refills, etc.. It used to be that we knew everyone here. Now there is only about 3 people i know and even with as much as we are here I rarely recognize anyone. I hope it changes soon because I'm starting to wonder why I come back.

4/28/08 Update: Wow. The ribs are good here. Tender. They come with a house salad and a baked potato. I thought I would trade out the baked potato for veggies. Meh, they tasted like over-nuked frozen veggies. I got the house salad with it. Remmber to ask for REAL lettuce if you chose this. It comes with iceberg. Also if getting the rib/chicken combo, it came with white meat. I am so done with chicken breast. Gimme some damn juicey dark meat.

This used to be my favorite BJ's. I learned everything there is know about Bj's here....BUT ever since the remodel, something is askew. One night I went there with a friend and they were really packed. I don't mind waiting for a seat cause I can just sit at the bar till it's ready. This time we got stuck in the corner on a table barley big enough for both your plates. The waiter had to keep taking the plates away to make room for new ones. We had to scoot the table yourselves to make room because we were so close to the other table, the waiter had a hard time gettiing by with his plates of food. I was very dispaointed the last coupe times I went. After the remodel, the service should not have to suffer. I will be going to the other locations in my area. I have already checked out the La puente location...I like it!!!

The inside atmosphere and the service were good. The pizza we ordered was delicious, though I expected more on the ale.

came back during Christmas time with the boyfriend for his company Christmas dinner. It was a buffet-styled dinner with a variety of pizza and some pasta. Holy crap. The pizza's fcking awesome. Sure, the calories may be in the thousands, but it's still some of the best pizza I've ever had! I wouldn't mind going back.... but just not until after I work off all those extra pounds I gained eating that delicious stuff haha.

So my first review & yes a chain restaurant. Saturday night the place was crowded, but seating took a quick 15mins. It was actually a USC football night...big screen tv's were everywhere which is nice to enjoy all around. Service was a bit slow, but considering it was a busy night. Menu items that we ordered are Great Beginings- Crispy Calamari Entrees- Balsamic Glazed Chicken -Scampi pasta with a good amount of shrimp both were enjoyable and took doggie bags home. Recommended to go with dates or family

I like this BJ's better than the West Covina location. It's smaller and a lot more intimate, instead of being inside some giant room where everyone is yelling. The front desk isn't too friendly, a couple times I've come, we just ended up looking around for someone to set us. The service is usuaaally okay. I think it's a toss up if you'll get a good server or a bad one, so if you find a good server, I recommend just asking for them all the time! The food is always GREAT, but if it's busy, be sure to order as fast as possible so you don't wait too long

Wish I could give 0 stars. NEVER GO HERE!! This was literally the WORST dining experience I've ever had. We went as a group of 5. 3 of us got there at about 1pm. By the time the other 2 of us arrive 30min later, they still have nothing at the table. I ask "you haven't ordered yet??". They say they ordered drinks 20min ago. It takes 15 more min for our drinks to arrive. We sit at 2 tables, so we ask if each table can use a coupon, since we're separate bills. She says sure. One table orders soda, lemonade, mini pizza, & large pizza on one check. The other table gets soda, burger, & large pizza. About 10min in, someone brings the salad that comes with my burger & puts the pizza-holders on our table. 1hr later we still don't have entrees. The table next to us has sat, eaten, & left. We've now been @ BJ's for over 1.5hrs. It's not even busy. When we finally get our food around 2:45, one of us asks to pay her part of the bill b/c we've been there so long that she needs to leave. We want to try the new raspberry pazookie so we order the trio-raspberry, Ghiradelli, & oreo. After another 30min, it arrives & we realize we've been given the macadamia nut instead of the raspberry. We eventually flag down the waitress-who has basically ignored us since we walked in. We tell her we think we might've been accidentally given the macadamia. She rolls her eyes & rudely says 'it IS the raspberry'. We reply that we can't taste or see any berry. She says 'they're just raspberry SHAVINGS'. We dig thru the cookie to show an obvious lack of anything berry, & she tells us they're in there but YOU CAN'T SEE THEM. We then tell her it has macadamia & she says 'no, they're almonds'. We hold up a piece of macadamia & tell her that it has macadamia in it, so isn't it the macadamia one? She insists that the raspberry one HAS macadamia, so it IS the right one. We ask "are you sure, b/c we thought it said it only had almonds" & she replies "NO, it has MACADAMIA NUTS" "and almonds?" "AND almonds". We tell her that we can't find any almonds in it either, so it must be the macadamia one, & she finally huffs & barks "so what, do you want ANOTHER one or something?" ...yes, we would actually like the dessert we ordered (especially since that one was the only reason we ordered dessert at all!). SHOCKING. We get a menu from the front, & we're right - the raspberry only has almonds. Not only did she make an error, she ARGUED with us about it & BLATANTLY LIED to try to push the blame on us. What if we'd been allergic to macadamias? Would she have just kept insisting they were almonds?? She didn't apologize for the wait, the error, OR for blaming us for her error. She brings the bill 15ish min later-we still don't have our last pazooki. She's put everything on ONE bill. Not only that, she's TOO LAZY to type a new bill once one of us had left, so THAT PERSONS'S mini pizza & lemonade are STILL ON THE BILL. She hands it to us & tells us to take off $12.95 (the cost of the mini pizza) & walked off. Totally unprofessional! The whole point of the bill is that it's a record of what you pay, not a random amount. AND even if we took off the cost of the mini pizza (& the lemonade!), the TAX for those items was STILL on our bill! To top it all off, instead of $4 off on each of our pizzas, she had only taken $2 OFF. We decide to speak to the manager. We explain everything. Instead of apologizing, he says OUR COUPON IS WRONG, & that it's actually SUPPOSED TO BE $2 off a MEDIUM. Shouldn't his first reaction be 'I'm sorry your service today was AWFUL & your waitress LIED TO YOU & you've been sitting here for HOURS'?? We say no, it's $4 off & we didn't order mediums! He says again that we're wrong. We pull up the coupon on our phones-which clearly says $4 off a large or share-size pizza. At this point the CORRECT raspberry pazooki arrives - it looks, smells, & tastes totally different & has obvious red splotches of raspberry, NO MACADAMIAS, etc. He comes back 15min later with 3 checks. He says the trio will be free (we assume as an apology for the CRAP service we've had). There is a bill for our friend who left & already paid, & bills for each of our 2 tables. He says the coupon isn't working, but he'll just take $2 off each bill (he crosses out the amount & writes an amount $2 less beneath it). ....except that when he split them up, he put the original -$2 & -$2 on the receipt of our friend who left! So he took $4 off HER bill, but she had already PAID IN FULL, so she didn't get that discount! I ask about it. He says "well I GAVE you free desert for $9.45, so it comes out the SAME". So the pazooki WASN'T free, b/c with the extra he charged us & the tax on that, we ended up paying $6-$8ish of that anyway. As we're walking out the door-more than THREE HOURS after the first of us arrived - a guy working at the front says "So sorry about that, guys." This is THE FIRST TIME someone has apologized to us THE ENTIRE TIME. RIDICULOUS.

on my quest to learning about beer...here in America they are very proud of their local brew per say I decide to go to BJ's .... I heard fro many people to go to a place where they offer their own beer, so I did order a beer/malt with a chocolate flavor with a steak, once I was finished with it I requested a lager that would enhabnce the flavor of the red meat... I applied the White and Red wine rule, with beer but it works differently. I enjoyed my steak with a lager beer, after 1 dark and 3 lagers I was pretty satisfied with the flavor... I;m not a beer drinker. but I Appreciate a good brew and for sure this place has a carte with their flavors... After a great meal plus the extended calories of 3 beers we decided to order dessert, a BJ's famous Pizookie...!!!!!!DELicious~ great place...~ I will def. come back.... if anyone wanna teach me about beer some more I would love to hit another place... thanks.

When I get off work, and just need to relax and have a couple drinks and dinner, I always end up coming here. The food is pretty good, and they have happy hour. But the main attraction here has to be the pizookies! I always need to have one whenever I come. I usually sit in the bar area, so I never have to wait. However, it can be hard to get a hold of your server most of the time, because they are never around. That's the reason I only give this 3 stars. Also, I don't want to sound like someone who likes to complain at a restaurant in order to receive a comp, but every single time I come here, something bad has happened, where the manager gave us a free dessert. I swear I don't do it on purpose, but something wrong always happens to our food, whether it was cold when we got it or we found a hair in it. Otherwise, this place is pretty chill.

I have been coming to this BJs ever since highschool. I love the lunch specials - sandwhich and salad/soup. I love love their chicago style thick pizza - esp BJs favorite or barbeque. I eat it with a fork and a knife. I love love love their Bazooka! Ridculously sweet but good. Drinks have always been my favorite there - shirley temples for sweet fun or pear ciders for sweet alcohol. Prices are good. Sometimes there is a wait, but it's worth it! This is my fav restaurant and sports bar.

This place serves the best Chicago deep dish pizza. My daughter got a kids meal of macaroni and cheese and I have never seen such a big portion for a kid. She did not eat it all and definitely could have shared it. We topped off our meal with a pizzooki. It was gone in a flash.
