Go for the carne asada tacos. Best I've tried. Meat is thinly sliced, good quality, not fatty at all.

The lady (I think she's the owner) is so sweet. She's really friendly and the food is always ready pretty quickly. Although they've messed up on our order a couuple of times, it really wasn't a big deal. It happens. Sometimes they give us free chips too :)

  • Jesus C.

This place was a waste of my money. The Tacos were dried out and the place was dirty. Taqueria De Anda is much better and more consistent. The only bright spot was the tongue very moist and tasty the rest wer e sub par

Only had the chicken tacos, al pastor tacos and asada torta so far off the menu. The asada torta is by far the BEST one I've ever had! You won't put it down! The service is great and the food comes very quick. Highly recommend the asada torta.

I would give it a 4 Star based on the first time I went to Taco's Jr's (Not Jr... Jr.'s), but I had the worst experience the second time around. 1st event: I saw this place many times driving down St. College because I live down the street, but never ever thought I would try it out due to their misspelling and the grammar errors on their signs and their name. My boyfriend and i were in need of somewhere new to get some dinner. The yelp reviews were good for this place so we thought we'd give it a try. I got chicken tacos, which weren't bad. My boyfriend got beef tacos, which he thought were pretty good. After leaving, we both agreed we'd come back someday. 2nd event (approx. 3 days later): When we walked into the door 3 GROSS middle aged Mexican (I'm guessing) guys looked me up and down for a good couple of minutes. I had to move out of their view because I felt so uncomfortable! (Not the restaurants fault, but still!) The girl at the register was completely rude. The first thing she said to us was, "yeah..." insinuating that she was ready to take our order. I told her that I would like to have 2 chicken tacos. Her reply, "we're out of chicken." REALLY? A Taco restaurant OUT OF CHICKEN? I would be more understanding if I came late night, but I was there at 6:30. There were maybe 2 other people there besides the 3 gross guys, so they weren't busy. It was a Tuesday. Taco's are especially popular on Tuesdays. My boyfriend and I ended up leaving since I only eat white meat. So much for Taco's JR'S

holy crap the asada tacos are amazing. it is some of the best asada I've ever had. it was juicy, flavorful, and fresh. i also had beans and rice, since it came with the tacos plate. the beans were pretty good and the rice was fantastic. the tacos are $1.30 individually, which is a bit more than other places but totally worth it. the plate of tacos was $5.00 and came with 2 tacos with a side of beans and rice. .although it was only 2 tacos, it was enough to send me into a food coma because of how much awesome meat they packed into it. everything is made FRESH to order and tastes amazing. the cashier was very nice too

I was across the street at ABI (closed Mon. dang it) so I thought I'd give this place another try. Came here a couple of years ago and had some chorizo, asada and carnitas tacos I was not impressed at all. The chorizo was the greasiest I'd ever eaten. The carnitas was bland and the asada was kinda dry. Figured that I must have come on a really bad day. Fast forward a couple of years. The place looks a little more worn and not as clean as I remembered. But I never judge a book by it's cover. My favorite couple of local taco joints Taco Boy & El Sancho are both places I'd never take my grandmother. Food: 2 tacos al pastor came out looking good with cilantro, chopped and grilled onions (nice touch) and a toasted jalapeno half. The tacos died from there. The al pastor was kinda dry and lacked flavor. It was 11:20am so maybe they just reheated some of yesterdays fixins? ** 2 Star 1 asada huarache. Again looking very promising. Nice sized masa sole with a lite smear of refried beans, a generous layer of asada, lettuce tomatoes a little chopped onions smothered with crema fresca and sprinkled with coijta cheese. I dumped a good heaping of pico de gallo and a couple of lime squeezes. First bite not bad as I got a taste of everything coming together at once. Second bite and many thereafter were ruined by the gristle in the asada. Stringy crap meat. Suitable for dog food. I was really disappointed 'cuz it looked so good. * 1 Star Mexican coke ****4 star Salsa bar: 3 kinds salsa 2 red (neither were hot) 1 green (didn't try), pico de gallo (nicely made but no heat), radishes (nice bite) pickled carrots, onions. Decent salsa bar just no heat. *** 3 star The lady at the counter must be hard of hearing too because I responded 2 times to her question " here or to go" HERE, HERE can't you hear? Still got it plated to go. You think the Mexican coke would be a tip off?? Ate it there anyway and almost returned the huarache. **2 stars is being generous. Too many good tacos to be had around this part of Anaheim to waste my time here again. I won't be back

BEST BEST BEST carne asada breakfast burrito you will ever have! Get the green salsa too, amazing!! Owner is super sweet. LOVE this local spot.

  • Andrew H.

My parents love this place. They have everything all day. My favorite is the breakfast burrito. They have bomb tacos on Tuesday. The owner is very friendly and they cater. Price is reasonable. Does get busy durning lunch time. Try it out

  • Eddie S.

We had the bean burrito and Carne Asada burrito. We were regulars with the old owners, but it is way different. It is now an above average taco shop. If you didn't try the original, you will feel the same. Miss the original.

  • Stebn R.

Big tacos good price flavor is okay friendly personal I would recommend this place salsa and chips

    (4)
  • Christina M.

I'm giving it only three stars because the only thing I like are the tacos and green salsa. A friend of mine said the menudo was pretty good but I didn't try it. The burritos are disappointing. Stick with their tacos and you'll enjoy this place, and the green salsa is a MUST.

  • Jessee A.

Went to check this place out with a co-worker who recommended it. He was right - their tacos were delicious! Full of flavor, meat was juicy (not dry), and their salsa and hot sauce has that tasty kick. Their chips were fresh and they give you a good enough portion to share but not so much that you can't eat your meal. Had one carne asada taco and one carnitas taco, and every bit of grease I bit into was worth it. It's a small quaint place located in a tiny strip mall of two other businesses. Staff is friendly and it's a clean establishment. I'll be back...

Friendly little place with killin' food. I came with a group of five and we ate for about $5-6 a person on average, which included entrees, free chips, and drinks for some of us. This food is legit, especially for the price. The salsas at the salsa bar are also exceptional and can turn the occasional regular taco into something approaching perfection.

i absolutely love this place! LOL to those ppl that leave bad reviews...either , you just don't know exactly what to ask for...Afffterrrr they having pic and #'s of the plate or food you would like, or like down here Lauren...maybe your prononciation was just BAD! lol anywho ive had their wet burritos, tacos, burgers, tortas, omg!!! im sure the rest is great as well. There prices are just awesome! Everyone in there is very nice too!!! yay for Tacos JR!

Terrible! We had a wet burrito, torta and cheeseburger and they all sucked. The radishes were good though, whatever that's worth.

Tacos are really good especially the trips ones. They also make homemade orange juices and milk shakes!

  • T W.

Sadly, other people are right. Ownership changed and the taste is noticeable. This place went from an awesome secret taco hole in the wall to just a mediocre place. I hope the new ownership can make their tacos more tasty, but for now, everything has suffered. Carne asada fries, carne asada tacos, al pastor tacos have all gotten drier and blander. Sadness. It's not terrible, it's just not near what it used to be.

    (3)
  • Jesus M.

These are the best tacos around. I try to eat them as much as I can but they close so early. The pastor tacos are the best and everything is prepared fresh, it takes a bit of time but is worth it.

  • Mia L.

3.3.10 Went to Tacos Jr cause my friend have heard they were good. During lunch time its really hard to find any good food around Buena Park so I'm always willing to travel. The place was small and clean. I have ordered three tacos, al pastor, carne asada and chicken. It was decent, it wasn't the greatest in the world but I really did like the al pastor. Juicy! So if you're around the area its worth it but it's a place I can live without. The lady at the counter was nice too, so that's a plus. So overall, friendly service, decent food, clean environment equals 4 stars. Its not hard to please me.

  • Tommy M.

Great taco place hidden in the suburbs of Anaheim. I always go for the asada or fish tacos. One of the best places I've been and the owner is really nice and remembers us every time we go. My wife and I drive 15 miles to have her tacos.

  • Tae K.

Their Muritas is legendary!!! tastes better than El Torito with cheaper price :)

  • K O.

Yummy!!! We have eaten here a few times and love the food. We were having a large family gathering for approx 100 people and asked Taco's Jr. if they cater and they said YES!! They provided a buffet spread of a traditional meal with rice, beans, and an assortment of tacos. Everyone was asking for their business cards and wanting to know where they were located. Thank you Taco's Jr. for providing a delicious meal for our family.

  • taryn t.

If you want some tacos... And it's after 9pm on a Tuesday night- This is the place. Even if you do not want tacos, they have burritos, quesadillas, tortas, mulitas (unsure what that is) with all kinds of meats. I prefer the carne asada over the carnitas. Carnitas needs more flavor- salt maybe. But overall- good and fast and cheap.

  • Penson L.

Sorry Taqueria Mexico. Sorry Taqueria de Anda. I've found a new taqueria for my taco fix. If you thought those two or any other taquerias in Orange County or even LA county had good tacos, I challenge you to try some at Tacos Jr. I've had many a taco all across LA and OC, but the tacos here are on another level. The meats are just so flavorful, from the asada to the carnitas to the al pastor - you can tell they've all been marinated properly. No gristle or chunks of fat either. Cooked perfectly on the griddle after you order for those crispy almost burnt edges, but still tender as hell. Not just that, but these tacos can stand alone without any salsa, the meats are that good. But if you're like me and know that good stuff + good stuff = better stuff, squeeze on some lime, slather a bit of salsa (I prefer the salsa verde), and you will be in pure taco bliss. As for size, they're a little bigger than the ones you'll find at TDA or TM. $1.30 each, 3 of them leaves me extremely satisfied and only costs $4.24. I can't wait until I'm hungry again to eat more.

Take to the sky on a natural high, loving tacos till the day I die, take to the sky on a natural high then off to the majestical place with the 2ply. No fancy seats & tables, no mariachis, no big screens and no waiters wearing sombreros. Just good food such as the taco. Chances are you will like the taco's unless you do not like onions or unless you do not like tacos. I have had better tacos but no complaints here. The food tasted fresh and not too greasy. The tortilla did not get hard after a while like some places. I preffered thier steak quesadilla. Cheese, steak, onion, thin sliced lettuce, a little tomato (no salsa but you can add it) on a toasty flour tortilla. I enjoyed the way each item complimented the other in my mouth. Fries? yes, and what fries they were. I think what I liked most about this place was the fries. They were made fresh to order. They were cooked until a little more than golden brown. They were thicker and longer than typical fries. They were a bit moist, I did not mind it at all. They had so many different drinks in their fridge from American to Mexican sodas and a nice fountain area. They also had fresh drinks such as hibiscus, which has been said to promote health in body, cholesterol levels and digestion. Finally, while the parking lot was not huge and it was in back of the mall/plaza area instead of in it; the place was not inconvenient to get to just make sure you turn correctly. The woman serving was very freindly and you can see the cooks preparing your food. atmosphere was ok, there was enough space to eat there if i wanted to. This may not be the place for your anniversary or your boss's birthday bash but If you are in Anaheim and want some good fast mexican food, try this place. I predict there will be at least one thing to catch your attention and leave you on a natural high.

The tacos were absolutely delicious and the amount they give you is a plus. I've been so accustomed to paying for a palm size taco so this was definitely a surprise. I also enjoyed having the grilled onions and jalapeños on the side. The sauces are delicious and tasty even on their own. I'm definitely coming back for some more.

If you like tacos then you got to try Tacos Jrs. I am reminded of a great taco shop in TJ that my father-in-law took me to when I went to Mexico with them. In Mexico when we order they put the meat choice on the grill. They were so fresh and flavorful that we couldn't stop eating them. With that being said I love Mexican food and spicy salsa. This place is amazing. It was my second visit, first about a month ago. The Christian music playing is a plus but when we walked in the lady says welcome back! Where's your wife? Very good atmosphere not much to the restaurant but it has a good vibe. I ordered the same as last time wondering if its consistent, and it was! Carne asada was juicy, flavorful and hot. The Carnitas was very moist and delicious just as last time. Cooked to order in less than 3 minutes. What the salsa bar lacks in color and presentation it made up for in wonderful homemade salsa! The medium has a great flavor and good kick. The carrot and jalapeno mix is good too! Only disappointment this time was no chips when I asked for them. This place will continue to be a must eat in my book.

Had a chicken burrito with guacamole and a carnitas taco. The burrito was huge and the taco was free (for first time visitors.) The tortilla was warmly 'toasted' as I like and carnitas were very tender. I'll be back!

I decided to give this place a chance after my friend's rave over their "BOMB A**" tacos. After trying their tacos, I have to agree with my friend on this one because their tacos are really good. I had the carne asada tacos and pollo asado tacos and a medium size horchata (rice drink) to down the tacos with. Besides their "BOMB A**" tacos you should try their carne asada burrito. Its not your average burrito with dice carne asada meat. Their burrito actually have strips of carne asada meat in it. Their burritos are huge and good. I recommend you coming to this place to have the "BOMB A**" tacos and huge burrito.

This is gotta be one of the best tacos places I've ever been to! the food is soo deliciously good! especially the Carne Asada tacos, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone willing to eat real authentic mexican food!

  • Lauren M.

Definitely had better than this with the abundance of Mexican places in Anaheim. The waitress seemed to "correct" me by pretending not to hear what I was saying although she knew exactly what I was talking about. Just because I'm not Mexican and don't have an accent, I suppose. "Hi, can I have the al pastor platillo?" "The what? Ohhh the al pastor platillo." "Yahh. Do you have tamarindo?" "What? Oh you mean tamarindo?" I dunno what that playing dumb act was about. She didn't know how to ring things up on the register either, which is kinda scary. She asked her mom how to do things. The receipts they print don't enumerate each order so it was hard to tell if she correctly charged us. The food here looks better than it tastes. The Al Pastor was greasy on the outside, yet dry on the inside. A total oxymoron. Rice and beans were just okay. Not terrible, but nothing to stand out. They forgot to give me the tortillas that came with my plate, but when we asked for them they came out piping hot. The salsa verde was probably my favorite part of the meal.

We're lucky to live right down the street from this joint. Sadly, it's the only decent place within walking distance. the food: carne/chicken asada burritos, tacos, tortas, even the pasole is excellent for the price. The horchata in large size is HUGE. Salsa/veggies are always fresh. This place is great for an after-yardwork / hot day meal.

This place is right by my house, I never actually visited it until yesterday and what a pleasant surprise. The food was really good. I got a fish taco and a torta cubana with French fries to go. It was took notch I would definitely eat there and recommend it to others

this place is a hit or miss, i've been there on several occasions and cannot say that i've been satisfied 100 % more than once .... after that 1 time, which was the first time, i raved on and on to my boyfriend and made him drive me all the way from downtown la to tacos jrs. Once we got here we placed our order n paid, (he ordered a Carne Asada torta and a carnitas taco.... and I ordered the Asada nachos) so the super rude girl takes our money while "flirting" with the cook and we take our seats....1 min. Later she tells me "we are out of nachos, do u want to order something else?" I said no because I was silently throwing a disappointment fit, and she looked appalled that I said no n gave me back my 5 dollars. As we wait for my bfs food, I'm wondering what are they missing that makes them "out of nachos?"..... chips? They can make some out of tortillAS that I know they have (proof in bfs taco) carne Asada? (Proof in bfs torta) cheese? (proof in bfs torta) lettuce, tomato, guacamole, sour cream and onions (ALL IN BFS TORTA) WTF!! I'm too "not the type to confront" so I sat quietly while my bc ate in guilt, (though he later told me he thought I was right about the flavor, and it was pretty delicious) Visit #4: out of guacamole, its 11 a.m., weekday, I know they get a lunch rush because I share a parking lot with them, wth! Aren't they going to make some more? Aren't they worried about potential guacamole involving orders about to come? Visit#7: meat is bland, usually amazing! Regret making this my lunch option :(

best tacos i've ever had and could easily be the best in orange county. i only say that because there could be a taco truck out there i have yet to discover. i've been to countless taquerias around OC and neighboring cities but none compare to this one. their pastor and asada really stand out because those two are the hardest to get right. asada is always dry because everyone thinks you need to eat it well done and good pastor is even more rare. i'm a sucker for carnitas so even the worst is good but this is the second best i've had other than a taco truck in santa ana. their mulitas are also insanely good. a little expensive at $1.30 a taco but its worth it since trash de anda is $1.25 which is ridiculous. hands way down this place beats de anda, taqueria mexico, escalante, molcajete, taco boy, tacos jalisco, carnitas los reyes, el taco, and taqueria tapatia just to name a few off the top of my head.

I had the Carne Asada Taco and it was pretty good. I also tried the Milanesa Torta and to be honest, I have had much better. Overall, the food is okay except for the Carne Asada Tacos which are good. However, the service was horrible. I entered and was not acknowledged. I stood by the register waiting for a few minutes before a guy told the girl to help me out. The girl was very unprofessional because she gave me attitude and gave attitude to the guy who told her to help me while I was watching. A few minutes after ordering, my kids wanted candy from the candy machine so I pulled out the many nickels she handed me and asked a guy to give me a quarter. He told the girl again and she completely ignored me and helped a customer who just walked in after my request. At first I thought she probably needs to help the customer so the register opens. After helping the customer and closing the register, she turned to me and asked what I wanted. I asked her for a quarter and she said they didn't have any. I thought to myself...really, no quarter and you can't ask your manager to give you change or dip into your tip jar to pull out 1 quarter. It is just too bad because the service turned me off.

As soon as I walked in, I felt it... something was different. New signs, new salsas, new music, and new staff. I asked the young girl behind the counter if they changed owners. I couldn't tell if she didn't understand the question or was playing dumb, but she denied any changes. And after reading AR's update, it confirmed my suspicions. Tacos Jr is under new ownership. In any case, I decided to order a few items to give them a try. It's not bad, but it's not Tacos Jr. The carne asada is the typical, thick cut that you find at most places. I miss the thin sliced, juicy strips. The al pastor was just ok. The torta bread is no longer toasted, and now they put a lot of raw onions in the quesadilla. I don't know if they changed the ingredients on their own or if the original owners took the recipes with them, but sadly it's an entirely different experience. It appears to be run by a small family now. The gentleman doing the cooking was pleasant and seemed to know his way around the grill. While his wife and two daughters manage the front.

My step daughter recently got married and chose Tacos Jr to cater her reception. They had catered her sister in laws reception and every one was happy with them. Her father and I drove down to pay for the catering and decided to try out some food while we were there. We tried both the taco's and the hamburger. Both were delicious. The hamburger came with grilled onion which I thought were a little spicy, but they come on the side so that was good. Everyone at the reception loved the food as well. They went back for seconds and probably more. The crew was extremely nice. They made the trip to Riverside in 90 degree weather. Will definitely recommend them for parties as well as eating at their location.

If you like Mexican food you like this place. You know why? Because they serve Mexican food. Well how about that. Tacos Jr. is different from all the other taqueria's mainly because they cook every thing to order. OK not the beans or rice, but all the meat is made fresh. Another good thing about this place are the prices. The prices are great for the portion and the quality of the product they serve. They also serve fresh fruit smoothies but I'm there for the burritos and tortas. Oh, and be sure to try the carne asada quesadilla. Lots of meat lots of cheese and some grilled onions. It's almost like a Mexican version of the Philly Cheesesteak. Not really but kind of, tell you what.......just Eat it.

Tacos were really good. I like their big salsa bar with radish... mmm. They give more meat than the other small taco places. I also like their grilled onions and jalapeno... just a nice touch on my tacos. This was my first time coming here, and I'll come back again. And the salsa bar is clean. :)

Stopped here because it was rated 4 stars and I was in the area. Nothing but a triple F: Far From Four!!!! The dining room was dirty and a bug crawled on the table as we were eating...yuck. The kitchen door was propped open and you can see the kitchen was a mess too! Food particles on the floor...I'm afraid the crunch in my burrito was a combination of dried out / microwaved meat and a bug. Now that I think about it, the bug was probably more moist than the meat! Never again. For as many Mexican spots in this area....save yourself from overpaying for over cooked meat. Go elsewhere!!! Save yourself!!!!!

I have been to many Mexican restaurants and this place has a special place in my heart. The host is exceptionally nice and she always encourages me to improve my Spanish. Anyway's on with the food review: carne asada tacos = good Al pastor tacos = good carnitas tacos =good tripas tacos =......EXPLOSIONS OF FLAVOR!!! IN ALL MY YEARS OF EATING CARNE ASADA AND OTHER DAMN TACOS, NEVER HAVE I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING VISITED BY THE ANGLE OF FLAVOR. from this day forward I will always order a tripas taco where ever I go. But to give credit where credit is due, Tacos Jr's was the first to exposed me to the form of beauty. The next time I return to Tacos Jr's I will order 5 tripas tacos. Expect me Tacos Jr!

It is a gem. Went on Sat morning around 9am that they just opened. We ordered breakfast burritos and a large orange juice. Breakfast burritos are big to me and only cost $5.50 each. They were fresh made. Ordered a Large fresh Orange juice which costs $5.50. It seemed very expensive but this Large orange juice totally overwhelmed me becuz its at least 30oz juice not 20 oz or smaller like other places or cafes.

So i came in here today to buy some ceviche because I saw that they sell mariscos and I was hoping to eat some today but that didn't go to plan. Because when I got there I asked if they can make ceviche they said yeah but that it would take awhile and I said it was alright I'll pay and come back for it, then they said they don't make it but they can make it. So I was really confused if they can or not? So the lady that was cashier today 07/18/20015 rung me up for 12$ a 1lb of shrimp ceviche. Then she tried on calling her boss what the real price was and she didn't answer so she asked the cook on how much it was and she was trying to charge me $18 dollars for a 1lb of shrimp what an outrage. And for management reading this probably not but if you are? If you guys are gonna sell mariscos you need to have the primary dish CEVICHE. And I'm only giving this place 1 star because of the customer service and leading people on if you guys don't have a dish simply say no don't just assume and piss people off when the customer is just straight up being polite and understanding about it I hope management or owner fixes this situation in the future.

I love tacos. I love nachos. I love quesadillas. Am I strict when it comes to the taco shops I enter? Not so much. This place has been on my radar since I moved to the area. I also have three $5.00 gift certificates from restaurants.com that I selected to use for this establishment. A mostly quiet place, aside from televised soccer and the cook clanging on pots and pans in the kitchen. They have a mini salsa bar, featuring an impressive Holy Toledo red salsa!!!! It isn't called that, but that's what I coin it. The cashier was polite and helpful, she even struck up a brief conversation with us, before, during and after our meal. No deluxe furnishings and you can see right into the kitchen, behind the front counter. No razzle-dazzle. But the food is appetizing. Hello HELLA BOMB tortilla chips!!!! Nachos are the perfect size. No gargantuan nachos con carne platters here. If you want that, hit up another Mexican food restaurant or diner that offers super nachos. They also have jugos naturales = natural juices and fruit cocktails. The carne asada is fine and the carnitas is flavorful. The quesadilla average and not oily. Overall, very good. Pleased? We were:)

This is pretty much a hole in a wall restaurant that most of my co-workers would go for a quick and cheap lunch. In fact, the owner recognizes some of my friends since they are regular customers. Their taco lunch plate is definitely a good price for lunch. Most of us enjoy their al pastor. I had the taco lunch plate with 2 al pastor, 1 carne asada and 1 carnitas. They are delicious! 4 tacos for lunch and a soda, it's quite good deal and filling. The place isn't exactly well air-conditioning so it was pretty warm when we went there during the heat wave.

  • M J.

Overpriced for the portions they give you, a lot of the food is reheated and dried out. Ordered an Al pastor wet burrito and it was dried completely out. The sauce was bland and the guy heated the burrito in the microwave I guess to melt the cheese and the tortilla became hard and rubbery. I never send food back and deal with it but it was so gross I had to.. Btw the jarritos sodas there for $2 bucks when there .69 cents at Ralph's next door... This place is god awful and extremely overpriced.

I came with not thinking it would be that great of a deal. I walk up to the place and I notice they make fresh juice and licuados, so I'm thinking that's awesome. I was in the mood for a quesadilla and again, I wasn't expecting much. When my quesadilla came out OMG! So big and crispy. It took a bit long but, you can see there was only one lady making food. The people are so nice too I absolutely can't wait to try more of their stuff

Went on Sunday 8-24-14 armed with my Restaurant.com certificate. Never would have known of its existence otherwise as I have never been along this stretch of road. It's located on S. State College Blvd., just south of Lincoln, on the right (East) side of the street as you drive north. It's on a corner with a big sign so you should see it. The Hispanic lady behind the counter greeted me as I entered, and I noticed I was the only non-Hispanic there. Authentico! A loud T.V. mounted on the wall. Authentico again! A sparse selection of tables and chairs. Authentico! A Mexican eating menudo. Double authentico!! But was the food authentico? I was to find out YES. Muy bueno. I had the Carnitas plate (I think for $7.99) and also ordered a steak breakfast burrito for Monday desayunos ($4.99). The Carnitas came out on a huge plate with lots of meat and 4 or 5 corn tortillas. So much I couldn't eat it all. Of course with a traditional Mexican salad of shredded lettuce with guacamole. You get warm tortilla chips while you wait, with hot carrots, sliced radishes and red and/or green hot sauce. The breakfast burrito was HUGE and packed with goodness. About 50 percent larger than an Alberto's burrito. I didn't have it for breakfast today (Monday) as I finished my Carnitas and added some stir-fry peppers and onions. The certificate was happily accepted. The food came out quickly. The lady behind the counter was friendly throughout and gave me a large container to-go and some coupons for a future visit. This place is worth driving a few extra miles for I think. You can call for pickup (714) 780-0380.

One of the best bacon breakfast burritos!!! Filled with egg, bacon, cheese, hash browns and beans, evenly mixed up so every bite is equally amazing! I also love the salsa bar when it has fresh pico de gallo (depending on the day of the week I've had to ask them to make it), and the warm salted homemade chips they give you. I may not get a smile or a hello, depending on who takes my order but I can look past that for the perfection of this burrito:)

Got the wet burrito, it was dry, nothing special at all. Especially for the price. Don't think I will be coming back

Cheap, friendly service. They'll also give you free chips while you wait, which is perfect for perpetual snackers like myself. They have some great salsas too- I usually load up on the salsa verde at the salsa bar, which has just the right amount of heat. Fav tacos are their pastor ones.

it's been a while since I reviewed this place again but last night I had some awesome carne asada fries so I wanted to give this place another one. Friendly staff, Great Horchata, Tacos were great and those carne asada fries were awesome. They cleaned up the salsa bar no mess anywhere so there is really nothing to complain about EAT UP!

It's okay. Not expensive and my favorite taco here is Alpastor. There Asada is okay nothing mega good but good enough and not dripping with grease. It's walking distance to me and open till 10 just in case I get the munchies. Would I rush back prob not at least not in the next few months, I'm still looking for a legit taco spot in gringo landia OC. Will I find a place like my hometown East LA favorite King Taco prob not but megh' will see.

I have read many reviews and live right down the street. I walked in when we wanted something different. I ordered a bit of everything because I wanted to know how it all was. Over all, the torta was ok. Nothing special. Probably could have used more meat and it didn't have much flavor. I have had much better and won't order this here again. The horchata was great! The taco's, well the taco's were great! I don't understand how the meat from the taco's were so good but the tortas so bland. I will definitely go back for the taco's. The people working (owners I am guessing) were as nice and friendly as can be. They were busy but seemed happy to know it was my first time there. I would have given four stars but the tortas just weren't that great.

I came here and tried the posole. It is very very good and the tortillas are served hot and fresh!. I deffinately recommend this place if your looking to eat some tastey posole especially on a cold day/night.

Don't be fooled by the location of their restaurant. I can say with confidence that their food ranks (at the very least) among the best of the Orange County Mexican food scene. And their portions are massive! For $5 you can get a huuuuge burrito. Better priced and larger portions than Alberto's, or Super Mex, etc. Give them a chance! You'll be quite pleased!

I found this place on YELP, I had never tried it but was so glad I went with my first intuition about it! I ordered it for our house warming/ Mayweather fight night. They have catering and when I Say catering I mean they bring EVERYTHING. The set up was so nice, the brought the food, made the tortillas hot to order and had all the amazing salsas and dressings to go with it! The plastic plates were steardy and sleek and Maria who I believe is the owner was so polite! She brought a young man to assist her and he was the sweetest! Both so polite and patient I was so please witht their customer service and the food was DELICIOUS. Everyone raved about how tastey the tacos, rice , and beans were all night. I have had texts asking for their contact info so that my friends can order them AND my birthday is in two weeks and I will be ordering them AGAIN! Amazing customer service, fair prices, and delicious food! Great job guys!

Seriously, i love this place. "BOMB DOT COM" Something I wouldnt say, but I am saying it!! My first experience here was great. I ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage, asada, bacon cheese, AND IT WAS BIG LOADED ANDPERFECT! IT came with pico de gallo and crunchy has browns! Also got sunny side eggs with pancakes + sausage. theses pancakes were buttery and fluffy and huge! CHEAP TOO FOR BREAKFAST MEALS! My second try was their wet burrito I got the carne asada wet burrito. comes with onions cheese rice beans (i asked for no beans) inside with sides of onion cilantro GRILLED onions, guac, sour creme, a choice of red or green sauce. with fresh crunchy tortilla chips. They are NOT CHEAP with the meat, they STUFFED THAT UP! This is my NEW FAV TACO SPOT!

The last time I came here, it was horrendous. There was little to no meat on my tacos, the sauces were disgusting, and the carrots were extremely soggy. However, I came here today again because it's very close by and I got the exact opposite of everything I listed! So much juicy meat on the taco I was overflowing with each bite, the sauces were delicious, and the carrots.. Nice and crunchy and spicy. I will definitely be visiting this place again and hopefully I will receive the same results!

My review will strictly be on what I ordered: yelp.com/biz_photos/PlBf… Carne Asada Taco - A little on the bland side. I mean, I wasn't looking for any asada that is heavily seasoned, but this simply just tasted like defrosted meat. Also it was considerably dry. Al Pastor Taco - Flavors on this were AMAZING, however this too was on the dry side. OVERALL: I don't think I would go out of my way to come here just to get some tacos. Maybe I came at a bad time since the meat was dry. Like I always say, YOU WON'T KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!

I went in a few days ago for a breakfast burrito. I had to repeat myself 3 times for the lady to place my order and she STILL got it wrong. I also asked for chips which she also forgot. It wasn't that busy and she just seemed careless. Service is much better at night. The food isn't bad and the horchatas are tasty. I just don't recommend coming during breakfast hours unless you're craving a lousy experience.

So every now and then you go out to a restaurant and the restaurant has an attitude / ego... well this is one of those places. All of their stuff says that they are the "Home of the best Tacos". Well guess what, these crazy cocky folks backed it up! As a whole their tacos were dayem good. Individually, I think they are not quite as good as some of the specialty places but as a group, I think these guys are top 2 in the area that I have been grubben tacos from for a year straight. So I got a Chorizo, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada Taco for $4.36 out the door. They are a $1.35 ea and they have a full complement of meats here. But all three of my tacos were well above average with the Al Pastor and Chorizo clearly being very tasty. The Carne Asada had flavor but it wasnt even half what the other two were. PRO TIP: Take the free chips!!! OMG YOU ARE AN IDIOT IF YOU DONT! The star of the show for me was the free chips that they casually asked me if I wanted as they were prepping my grub. I said sure, never being one to turn down homemade fresh tortilla chips. Well that was an impeccable and perhaps the best decision I made that day. The chips were very thin, light, airy, cooked properly, and with just the right amount of salt. It was tasty enough that I had to put out an extra quick tip just to talk about the chips. They are by far the best that I have from a taco stand ever. PRO TIP #2: They take all credit cards without a minimum, so you dont have to hit the bank first! Their location sucks as you have to swing a weird U turn if you are southbound on State College and its just before a major strip mall if you are headed northbound on State College. Parking is a breeze as they have about 20 slots to share with 1-2 other small businesses. They take all credit cards without a minimum order I think. I was able to my $4.36 on a credit card =) One last note, their spicy sauce isnt that spicy, the medium is flavorful, I didnt try the green, but their salsa is fresh and was very tasty with the chips, when I wasnt inhaling them plain.

I had the tacos de asada. This is my first time here and I would estimate to be a slightly above average spot. The tacos tasted cleaner than most other joints, you know, not greasy n' stuff. The prices are okay, average I guess for this location. The only thing I didn't try is the rice and beans which I will next time I go.

I think this place is great I was here on fri for chicken tacos cuz I only love it here but I've also tried their chilaquiles which is not on the menu but Sra. Maria will take special requests and hook it up red or green with eggs frijoles crema and queso yuuumy! I like their pozole too it doesn't have bones that take up the whole bowl. The carne asada fries are great and the carne asada quesadilla is delish and even their hamburgers are tasty! I had a baby shower today for a coworker and On Monday my hubby placed an order on my behalf for 3pounds of chicken with tortillas and all the topping packaged Separately for me to pick up on Tuesday. Everything was nice and hot and it was such a big hit at my office everyone loved the food they saved me ! and at such a great price I had 7 people and had tons of food left over for people to take home. They even packaged grilled onions and jalapeños and chips in my order and it was all under $35. Annnnd I love how everything is prepared at the time of your order so their isn't meat sitting there already cooked fir hours they are grilling up those orders and you can even see the cook getting down! The service is great friendly and hospitable. I recommend this spot.

Ordered a California burrito today, it was big and less than $6.. However, it only had about 5 French fries in it. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because there was a lot of meat but that's basically it. This was around 1pm and I've felt sick all day.. I don't think I'll be coming back to try anything else..

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
