Took a family of 8 there and had one decent meal "soup and salad" ant the rest was not good. My daughter in law and I both had the blackened mahi tacos they were tasteless and overlooked. 1 out of 8 were happy. I suppose thief location keeps them I business - it can't be the food.

Only been here once, but your run in the middle average brewery experience. Nothing stood out, but nothing went horribly wrong. Probably a good way of pre-gaming a game/event at Honda Center if you're not within taxi/walking distance of Honda Center. Also if something is at Honda Center, valet only costs money if you do not eat at the restaurant, otherwise it's included in your meal (gotta tip though).

My family, friends, and I were in the area for an event and my wife had found JT Schmid's on Yelp for a place to eat at after the conclusion of our event. It is located right across the street from the Honda center, in the heart of Anaheim, and is very easy to locate. The first thing I thought to myself after entering JT Schmid's is that it reminded me a lot of a BJ's. It is a big sports bar and restaurant rolled into one. However, just like some BJs I have been to, there are not that many TVs to watch sporting events on. Many of the newer sports bars I have been to have TVs in every direction that you turn. JT Schmid's does not, and the only place to get a really good view of a game on their big screen TV is if you sit at the main bar. If you are seated anywhere else, you will be lucky to have a view of one of the smaller TVs. For a sports bar, the service was excellent. We initially got seated in a location that did not have a great view of any TV to watch the Laker's game. We asked if we could move to a better table, and they moved us quickly, without issue, to an area that had a much better view. The waitress that we had was also super attentive and friendly. The service was great across the board, and made the experience very enjoyable. The food was decent, but by far not the best I have had. The menu is very limited, so I assumed that of what you could order that they probably did it well. It all tasted good, but it was because the food was saturated in oil, butter, salt, or some other type of unhealthy ingredient to make it taste good. I ordered the "twenty dollar burger", which was amazing at first, but after about the forth or fifth bite the grease was starting to kick in and make me sick. I got sweet potato fries as my side to go along with my burger. They were also good at first, but had so much sugar on them that I could only eat so many before feeling a little queasy. The highlight of the meal for me had to be the cornbread that they brought out initially when we got there. It was fluffy and delicious, and came with some awesome honey butter. Overall, JT Schmid's is a good place to go to after a game or an event at the Honda center or Angel's stadium, but I wouldn't want to go here to actually watch a game. There are very few TVs, and of those TVs, most are located in obscure, hard to see areas. The food was ok, and the service was excellent. I would probably check out JT Schmid's again if I am in the area, but I would ask them to take it easy with oil so that I don't feel as sick afterward.

Came here for a late night dinner on a Saturday back in July. Service was good. Waitstaff was helpful with selections. They had live music playing which made for great ambiance. I'm basically writing this review because I felt that they did have really decent Fish & Chips. I think it's a challenge to find good fish & chips in Southern California so I reluctantly tried them and I was kind of impressed to be honest. The breading was just right and the fish was hot and juicy. I would definitely order them again. I tried some of my dates burger and that was pretty good also. Their beer was okay. Nothing to ride home about. Prices were fair as well. No event at the Honda Center so it wasn't too crowded.

The spicy hot wings were a joke, but the Angus burger is the shiznit! So was the seared ahi salad!

Absolutely the worst service I have had in a long time. Never again, waited for 15 min. No acknowledgement. after we asked someone else for help our server brought are drinks and never came back. So after that we had to ask someone else again for our check. If they would have at least honored the happy hour pricing I would have gladly spent a few more bucks for another pitcher. Our server had no personality and should probably find a new line of work, or at least go back to McDonald drive thru.

This place is terrible. If you' re the honda center go elsewhere. I felt like they may have used 3 lbs of salt in our dinner. My prime rib was overcooked.

Awesome Buffalo wings and good beer! Good service too!! Side of veggies ($4) were very good as well. $20 burger was good, but not great. I would definitely go back when I'm in the area. (Right across the street from the Honda Center in Anaheim) 2 beers ($13), $20 burger, order of wings ($10), side of veggies ($4) and a soda + tax= $52.

This place was right behind our hotel during our Disneyland trip. I believe it is a chain of restaurants. We ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes as we were in need of some comfort food after all the running around looking for Mickey! It was VERY good ! The meatloaf was tasty , flavorful and mashed had gravy. We really enjoyed every bite. This place has many different menu items from pizza to sirloin. I also had a fruity mojito and then a long island ice tea. ;) This place is a great starting point for beers before the Angels game. It had a fun sports feel. We liked it so much we went back the next day for a delicious root beer float!

After my original review, I was asked to come back again to try the menu with a different server. I'm happy to say that it made all the difference! My friends ordered the Filet and the Ceviche and I ordered the Cod with black sauce. Everything was wonderfully prepared, the flavor was scrumptious, and the presentation was suitable...Chris was our server, and he definitely was much better than the last time I was there for dinner. I highly recommend the banana bread pudding they make here--it's absolutely divine!

I would just like to take a moment to thank, and complement you and your staff at J T Schmid's in Anaheim for a fantastic experience at your restaurant last Friday night. I must 1st say that I have attended and been responsible for arranging many events and functions, (some smaller, some larger) over several years in my sales and marketing career. I can't remember any previous event where "everything" was so well prepared and as professionally attended to as was by you and your staff. Your staff's attention to detail and very well organized presentation was, to say the least, AMAZING! From the moment my wife and I arrived that afternoon to do the set-up for the big "surprise" engagement party for our son, you and your staff greeted us with a very obvious, "we're glad you're here" attitude, and all seemed very eager to assist in any way... Without exception, every request was immediately attended to and handled in the most gracious manner... The young man, (and one of the front desk girls) came to our rescue when we needed a ladder to hang up some decorations and In fact was very instrumental in hanging and arranging the decor for us... Great Job! And finally, (without getting too windy...) the two "lady's" assigned as our servers, were unbelievable in their ability to address the needs of ALL of our guests and the most "professional" way in which they conducted themselves throughout the entire night... They were very attentive to the every need of all of our guests, and never allowed a glass to go empty, even the ones that were only drinking water... I can't tell you how many times that one of our guests came up to me, my wife, or Mike to tell us how well the the party was going and to complement your staff and the outstanding way they presented themselves... FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY!!!

Was here before the NKOTBSB concert, and if it would not be for the urgency to use the restrooms, I don't even think to eat here. It's a sport's lounge/restaurant. Off course its noisy, loud and crowded. Not to mention is around Happy Hour. The food that we order is good, but not extraordinary that make me want to go back. I admitted I love the sweet potatoes fries but not enough to make me go back just for that. The service not too great, they do not come back and ask if we need any water, or anything. I did ask for second ranch and they give me that. I think the Restaurant is just conveniently located across from Honda Center, and while you wait in line to get in maybe need a place to hang out or in my case I gotta use the restroom badly.

Horrible service, food is also just okay for the price and I wish my drink was refilled in a timely manner and didn't have to ask for refills. Recommend elsewhere. Food does not equal the cost with the service.

this place is really really relally great the $20 burger is most great. It is a massive burger that has to be seen to understand . Great place that serves super food I give this place a 10+ great staff and you can go in a suit or shorts very mixed crowd.

I always tip my waiters well. I know that it is a hard job, and usually when there is a problem it is with the kitchen or management. But when the waiter is downright rude, like the guy at this JT Schmid's the other day, no way is he getting a tip. First of all, this JT Schmid's has a special "event menu" which is very limited. Vegetarians must choose between an entree salad, a small salad or a pizza. So I asked the waiter what the difference in size was between the small and large salads, trying to figure out is a small salad and a pizza would be too much food (we were going to a Ducks game after,so I couldn't really take leftovers). He looked at me like I was the dumbest person on the planet and replied "the entree salad is entree sized and the small salad is smaller." Uh...okay... I figured that... So I used my hands to demonstrate and I said "is it like this big?" and he said "sure." While waiting for our food, we were approached with just about everyone elses' food in the room and asked "is this what you ordered?" Apparently the guy had not written the table numbers on the tickets, so the servers were clueless about what went where. When our food finally came, we still had 30 mins or so before we needed to leave, so I ordered another bottled beer. I said I would keep the same cup, all the waiter had to do was bring me the bottle. 25 minutes later, the drink arrived. The waiter said "Are you going to the game tonight?" We said "yes" and he said "Well I guess you have to chug that then, huh?" and started cracking up laughing. I said "well, I guess I do, because you took so long to bring it." This made him laugh harder. He didn't apologize or even acknowledge that there was a mistake on his part. When the bill came, I was not surprised to see that I had been charged for the drink. Most waiters would have spoken to a manager and gotten it removed. So no tip. Next time we will come earlier and go somewhere in the garden walk or something. I strongly advise you to do the same.

Awful customer service and got ripped off by their "happy hour". Would not recommend going here. Apparently an Angels Dodgers game is considered an "Event" even though it was not at the Honda Center, which their menu clearly states alters happy hour times. No one offered to explain this to me or help fix the problem. Will no longer be giving this place my business.

I really liked this place! Definitely a great place for happy hour or dinner. I had plans on going to BJ's in SoCal but a friend in the OC recommended this place to me and I was glad we came here instead. I started off with a Cantaloupe Martini and it was one of the best martinis I have ever had! For apps, we had sweet potato fries and the brewhouse nachos. These nachos were smothered with both jack and cheddar cheese, homemade chili (which was amazing), sour cream, guac and salsa. Yummy! Next time I'm in Anaheim, I'm definitely coming back here! They have plenty of TVs to watch sports on and a nice outdoor patio area. A great place to come to before or after an Angels game. Heck, why not before AND after lol. It's that good.

I went to JT Schmid's recently with a friend to grab a light dinner, so that's a couple of appetizers for us, and we had a reasonably good time there because our company was good, not because the food was particularly great. The place is huge inside, with plenty of outdoor seating. The style is old school bar and grill and is within walking distance of both the Angels Stadium and the Honda Center. We ordered the artichoke cheese dip and the truffle fries. Firstly, portions are huge, we probably had 1.5 cups of cheese dip and it also came with salsa. The dip was a little bland but pretty cheesy. The salsa wasn't spicy and was a little overpowered by the amount of oregano flavor. The truffle fries were disappointing. When they came, they looked great - looked crispy, covered in shredded Parmesan cheese and fairly reeked of garlic and truffle oil. First fry, a little soft and it didn't taste of truffle at all. That was pretty much the case for the whole basket but every once in a while I would fork a couple of fries that had some of the cheese on them and just be overpowered by garlic, not in a good way either. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, but we went randomly on a Thursday and the place was dead. If I go back I would definitely like to try their onion ring appetizer, I do love a good beer-battered onion ring, but the food this first trip was disappointing. Final verdict: Good place to go for some appetizers and beers before or after the game. Come hungry, but don't expect to be dazzled by the food and I wouldn't recommend the truffle fries.

It's empty during lunch time. Didn't see too many folks around. Probably because it's a WEdnesday. Anyway, they have good lunch specials. Buddy and I had lunch, came out to $24 with tip and tax and everything. that's not too bad. i had the half sandwich/half soup combo which was pretty good. Need to park on the backside/side of the restaurant because most of the spots in the front parking lot are reserved.

I'd love to review the food but unfortunately our party decided to leave after not being acknowledged by one employee after being seated at our table for 15 minutes. The food smelled good at least. I recommend they fire the short bitchy waitress that didn't want to work. She was just wandering around saying "that's not my section" and arguing who was going to get the party of 15 that wasn't even there yet.

Great place! I always sit at the bar to have a great view of the big screens. All the bartenders (love Brandon!) give great service, yummy beer, wine or cocktails & fresh, house-made food. They stay open late on game nights. They also have a huge patio with a gas log fire pit. If you like a french dip, you gotta try their version made with Prime RIB!!

Really more like 3.5 stars vs. 3 or 4. In any event this place could not be more conveniently located for a concert or sporting event at the Honda Center or the Big A for that matter. So with that in mind be prepared that you and 16 to 50 thousand other thirsty and hungry people are in the area searching for a spot to get their food and drink on. Hence don't expect to get seated immediately or feel snubbed if it takes a while to get your food or drink. For the most part they do a decent job even when they are slammed, which is often. The grub is just what you would expect from a bar|pub|gastro pub, comfort food and they do a pretty good job of it. We shared the following on a recent visit and they got us in and out pretty quickly and the chow hit the spot before the show. Spicy Chicken Wings - pretty good take on a classic A pound of wings tossed in wing sauce with bleu cheese and vegetable sticks. Chicken & Avocado Egg Rolls- good but I like the ones at Cheesecake factory better. Grilled chicken breast, fresh avocado and sundried tomato wrapped in a crispy fried wonton. Served with salsa and southwestern ranch. The Buffalo Burger- My buddy loves this burger 100% ground Buffalo, jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced red onion and roasted red pepper mayonnaise served on a whole wheat bun. Halibut Fish & Chips -This one is a winner, I have had it a few times. Halibut battered in Beer. Garnished with coleslaw, lemon wedges and sweet corn mayonnaise. Served with shoe string fries. JT's is fine by me and like I mentioned a solid 3.5 stars, just keep in mind they may be stretched for resources at times. Just chill they will get to you.

There are two ways to look at this place. 1. "Hey, let's meet up here before the (insert Honda Center event here) and grab a beer" and/or meal. 2. Come here any time something is NOT going on across the street. If you choose #1, be prepared for a huge mob wanting to pound a cheap beer. You will be elboed at the bar, rushed by the bartenders, forgotten by the waitresses and made to wait forever for your food. My worst experience was before The Cheetah Girls concert. Yes, that's right, I said it. The freakin' Cheetah Girls. I took my then 7 year old daughter for her Christmas present. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. Besides the very hot young milf's dressed in all things animal printed, it was way too crowded. We waited 45 minutes for our drinks and left before our pizza arrived. Then again, was it even made?? If you choose #2, you will have a fantastic meal at this upscale bar n grill. The home made brews are terrific. The menu is simple, from pizza and burgers to fillet mignon. I must have tried everything through the years and it has always wonderful. Last night was a steak and beer thank you dinner for my staff after a long trade show. Everything, as usual on a slow night, went great. Attentive service, short wait for the food and a great steak at less than Morton's price. A lot less milf's to stare out, but we survived.

Superb customer service, loved the atmosphere, food was good! Price is similar to BJ's or CPK but the menu selection in 1/4 of the size, which is fine. Their raspberry walnut pear salad was to die for. So good!

This restaurant is by far the worst service I have ever received. I work at a nearby hotel and used to recommend people here all the time. They come asking to give them a review of this place, and I usually just go by what yelp says. However, now that I have personally tried this restaurant, I will never refer anyone here again. We wanted to sit in the patio and the hostess told us there was no service out there even though we saw people out there. But hey, that's what she said so we didn't argue and waited for a seat inside. Then the hostess called us in and said there's more waiters outside in the patio now, and we could sit there if we wanted. We decided to, and she just told us to sit ourselves. So we went outside, found a slightly dirty table because there was no other place to sit. Ten minutes went by and nobody even approached us, so I had to walk inside myself and grab two menus. I sat down, decided what we wanted to order, and STILL nobody approached us. Finally we had to flag down somebody to help us out because we had a concert to go to across the street. We put in our order and the wings came out two minutes before our food...I mean, really? What's the point of an appetizer if its gonna come out at the same time of the food? So we got our food, and we had no place settings at our table. We also asked for ketchup and honey mustard. We waited the entire meal and didn't receive it until the end of our meal. When we got the bill, they charged us for the regular price of the wings even though we came during happy hour. When we asked about this, she said she should have explained it to us when we sat down that they don't have happy hour when there is an event....even though it says they do on their table menu. She agreed to take it off and charge us the happy hour menu price. Overall, very very dissatisfied with the service. It's not the waitresses fault. It's managements penny pinching.

Before a Muse concert at Honda, this was a good place to get some food and drinks. It was really crowded so there is a small chance you will get a table. But you can grab some food and drinks by the bar. It was a fun crowd and we met a pretty colorful character from NJ. The food was ok. I had the buffalo wings. The service at the bar was good. Friendly bartenders.

One of those places where decor made it for me. Food is meh. Think BJ's. Me and a couple of friends met up her just to chill and get dessert. I've been to the one in Irvine a couple years back and this was my first time at this location. We got the chocolate pizza and sweet potato fries. The chocolate pizza Apparently they took this off the menu, but were able to make it for me anyways (bonus points for service). I had it a couple years back, but I feel like they changed the ingredients. It wasn't as good as I remember. It's a cheese pizza with chocolate and ice cream on top. The cheese might throw people out of whack with the chocolate sweetness, but it goes great with the vanilla ice cream it comes with. Overall, all the different funky flavors somehow come together to be awesome. Sweet Potato Fries Heavily disappointed in these. I got a soft spot for sweet poatato fries but these were just wtf. Way too much cinnamon man! =P. It just threw the whole flavor out of whack. I felt like I was eating a potatoey churro or something. It's edible, but they really need to lay off of that. Decor The outdoor seating is awesome. They got two fireplaces and it creates a nice glow. Makes it feel classy yet casual. A good place to just kick it with some friends at night. Grab a drink, tell stories, reminisce about old times, or just pre-game a party. We got a lot of Angels fans rolling through though just because it's right next to the stadium and the game just got out. One of the Angels fans was a 50 year old lady and she was hitting on a 25 year old guy. It provided awesome entertainment for the night. Overall great place to chill. Food - 2.5 stars Service - 4 stars Decor - 5 stars

It's all about the mac n' cheese here. It's a pretty decent representation of how mac n' cheese is supposed to be--with a delightful upper crust that can only come from being browned in the oven, chicken, and a hint of beer in the cheese. I would come back here just for that. As for the rest of the menu, it isn't anything you can find at any other brewery. Truth be told, I thought their menu was rather limited. I know a lot of restaurants like to streamline their offerings to simplify their kitchens. I also applaud when restaurants know their forte and put forth only their best offerings, giving a much-needed identity to their establishment. However, I also think that if you don't have a signature style you need to do your best to give your guests a variety from which to choose from. I mean--I like their mac n' cheese--but unless they want to experiment with other similar items it makes their menu seem like a one-trick pony. Either that or they need another dish to distinguish themselves in some way. Their beers are nothing special. Their atmosphere is nothing special. Because of that I find it hard to recommend them above all the other simply awesome restaurants in the area.

I loooooooove OC Restaurant Week! And if it wasn't for that, I probably would have never tried this place. Now I can say that I'm a fan! We went on Sunday during lunch, and the place was pretty much empty. Although that's surprising since there are lots of TVs with plenty of games being shown. We got a GREAT day for just $15 bucks per person! A three course meal! And it was A LOT OF FOOD!! I could NOT finish it all. I ordered a cup of ale cheese soup as a starter. The soup was served in a small cup, but it was delicious! Cheesy, and just a slight taste of ale...YUM! My Taste Bud had the chicken avocado egg rolls. They give you two rolls with some sort of salad, and two dipping sauces. The egg rolls themselves were delicious!! The salad had some sesame/ginger type dressing (I think) and it was freakin good! I loved it! The dipping sauces were also divine, especially the sweeter of the two. For an entree, I had The Mexico City Burger which has avocado, pepper jack cheese, cilantro, lettuce, and salsa. I ordered it medium rare. They also let you choose a style of fries. I ordered sweet potato fries. Their fries are thin, crispy, and good! They smell soooo good! They add cinnamon to them, but it doesn't overpower the flavor, they taste great plain, and dipped in ranch dressing. The burger was HUGE, and I'm sad to say that I couldn't finish even half of it because it was so big, but it was good, not the best burger I've ever had, but very good. For dessert I ordered the banana bread pudding, which was very good. It was nice and moist and tasted very good! I finished all of my dessert of course...I always do. :) This is a great place to hang out and watch some games, even if you're just pretending to watch them, like I do. :)

Decided to give this chain a second chance. Still not better than 3 stars. Had my family of 4 so we had a range of products from the burgers to kids meal. Food was average at best, beer was good and service was better than average. I would pass on this one.

We went to JT's before the Shikra concert at the Honda Center. The place was much bigger than I expect. Felt like the whole dining experience took forever. Although the waitress was super sweet. I think she was trying to give us time because she saw how into the conversations we all were. Taste does not match presentation. Everything was pretty run on of the mill to me. There was a big crowd. They had live music outside. Looked like lots of people were there getting hammered a doing something they were probably going to end up regretting the next day. By far, the best part was the banana bread pudding. I am a sucker for all sweets, especially bread pudding. But, this one really impressed me. BOTTOM LINE: Good if you are in the area, might be fun "nightlife" place if you're in the mood.

We ate here before the Ducks Canucks game last week. Everything we had was great including the service. My wife and I had the artichoke dip and I had the Macadamia crusted Hamibut and it was GREAT! My wife had the Ahi salad and said it was great. We eat here all the time and honestly can never think of a time that we had a bad meal. The service before ducks game can be lacking but if you get there early you can get done before the rush! Now go eat!

though I went prior to a concert, they are still great in a central location, friendly staff and good food. Lived the 5oz beer choices, just enough without going crazy. I recommend reservations before the concert and walk over to the Honda Center, EASY!!

Just ate dinner here before the Angel game. The reuben was good except I think it sat out too long before getting to our table because the bottom piece of bread was as soggy as mush. My husband ordered the steak sandwich which was good also except for the fatty grizzly piece of steak they gave him. The beer cheese soup was absolutely to die for! I'd recommend this place for a pregame meal & beer

We needed a place to eat right before a Stones concert and they were right across the street. The place was packed. We were seated within a couple of minutes.Waiters had drinks to us right away. took our order and had food to us in no time at all. The waiter was very attentive. food was good as well. Can't say a bad thing about the place. If you want a place to eat before an event at the Honda Center, this is a great choice!

Pros: The service is excellent. Everything came quickly, correct and the waitress was very helpful. There was valet-only parking, which was free. The beer was excellent, but unfortunately, they don't offer any take-home purchases. The place looks fancy. They have tv screens with games playing. It's more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant. Cons: With that being said, the portion sizes were average, not at all large as some people have mentioned. The food menu is very small and seemed limited in selection. I would say the 4 main dishes and 1 starter was average, nothing great about the food really. The dessert was tiny and didn't match the description and was also highly priced. Overall, the prices are really high for what they were. I've been here twice. The first time was a couple years ago and the food had larger portions, the menu was better and at reasonable prices from what I could recall. Now I know why they call this place a "tourist trap". I can honestly say I won't return. It's a nice place for happy hour and to watch the game, but I don't recommend coming here for the food. Of course, this is my personal opinion and it's often times best to just try it out for yourself, especially since a lot of people seem to like this place.

I came here for lunch today and it was alright.. I got the french dip and my boyfriend got the pastrami. It wasn't bad but I hated that the sweet potatoes fries I got was all small bits.. -___- Service... I seriously have had way better service at a fast food joint. Most of the time I had no idea where our waitress was. I didn't like having to wait so long for her to come by. They weren't busy and there was probably only 3 other tables with other waitresses.... That's a complete FAIL! Would I come back? Maybe.. only because I still have a gift card for the place.. Also it was annoying that when we came in the door they didn't acknowledge us til we were up in their face.

Macadamia crusted halibut was a nice, big piece o' fish. But, it oughta be, for close to 30 bucks. Wasn't crazy about the salsa that came with it - at least it was on the side. Menu said mango pineapple salsa, but the mango was hard and bitter in places, or maybe it was the pineapple. All around unremarkable salsa. Mashed potatoes were meh, kinda cold and pretty bland. Mashed potatoes are pretty easy - when in doubt, just mix in more butter. Maybe the cook didn't taste them - or the salsa, which was just kinda sittin' beside them. I'd asked the waitress if the halibut came with veggies - they weren't listed with it on the menu like they were with other entrees. She said it did come with veggies... maybe fruity salsa is considered a vegetable in Anaheim. Tasted the mac n cheese. Didn't knock me out. I was fooled by the first bite - it was mostly bacon and it was good bacon mmm. But the next bite made me realize it wasn't very cheesy - whatever cheese there was seemed like mostly mozzarella. Not ideal for mac n cheese, doesn't blend. There were other cheeses in there, but I couldn't distinguish a specific flavor. The 'mac' itself was overcooked, happens a lot with mac n cheese. Endamame says 'warm' on the menu - it wasn't. Not that that matters to me, just sayin'. I liked the black and gold decor inside - y'know, the throng of Bruins fans dressed for the game. I was one of those fans. I still am!

Went here yesterday with a friend who had to get her steno machine looked at and were hungry. The place is nice. Reminds me of most breweries that I've eaten at. The staff was very courteous and nice. The only thing that was weird is that the crowd totally looked all white collar'd out. I usually like my breweries to look down to earth and chill. Ordered the Cheddar Ale soup and a French Dip. My friend had the Chicken Parmesan. The soup came first for me. Oh man, it was hot, thick, cheesy and at the very end you could taste the sweetness of the ale. SOOOO good! My only reserve that the crutons that were on top were totally out of the bag. I wish they made their own for that rustic feel. My french dip was tasty. The meat was clearly cut and not lunch meat tasting. I liked how warm and melty it came out. My friend was shocked at the size of her meal. I was too. It was A LOT OF FOOD and we took more than half of it home. I doubt I'd be back unless I was ever in the area again, but an okay place to go.

Yesterday the hubs and I were walking around at DTD and he was feeling like a beer and thinking, "where is a there a brewery around here?" I remembered this place, and friends recommending it, so we tried it. The parking lot was so empty, we questioned if it was even open, but we ventured in and it was very quiet inside, with 1 fairly large group and a couple of small groups. We took a seat and hubs ordered a beer. Looked at the menu for a long time, and nothing really seemed that great to me. I ordered a BBQ chicken salad and hubs ordered Mac N beer cheese (or something like that), saying it was the only thing on the menu that sounded unique. The chicken in my salad was totally bland, and the tortilla chips and onion rings on the top were stale. There was hardly any, (if any at all) ranch dressing on my salad and it was innundated with BBQ sauce, which was supposed to be a drizzle according to the menu discription. Hubs' plate was just as bland, really had no flavor. He tried to rescue it with salt and pepper, but it just wasn't helping. Service was ok, we didn't complain, just took it as a loss. I ate less than half of my salad, and hubs ate about half of his, only because he was hungry. Beer was good, thank goodness, it's a brewery! We won't go back.

Walked over after ducks game for the first time. Wasn't too busy. Rain cleared out so we decided to sit outside. Good sized outdoor area with fire pits and propane heaters. Don't remember if they had any TVs though. Had a pint of the seasonal black ipa. Yes it was dark. Not too bitter. Good drinking beer. The non traditional Jambalaya was ok. It was tomato based and poured over white (steamed?) rice rather than cooked all together. The rice had some crunchy bits (like dried out/bottom of pot). Whether intentional (paella like) or not it was not appetizing. The bits would get stuck in my back teeth. Had to pick them out. The dish had three huge beautiful shrimp on it but lacked flavor. Chicken and sausage was also ok but not amazing. Dish was in the middle range at around $16 so I expected a little more. Overall OK experience. Service was good. Will try some other items next time.

Conveniently across the street from the Ducks Arena. The food was great. The Truffle Fries are a must. Be aware that the pitchers are on the small side. Good service. Next time I'll try the outside bar.

JT Schmid's take two! The first time we came here I was not thrilled but the second time is a charm! The night we came there was a huge monster truck rally going on at the Big A and the place was hopping. Just to get into the parking lot was a bit and we pulled around the back as instructed and was pleasantly surprised by complimentary valet parking (we tipped them anyway). Nice touch! Thankfully we had reservations so we walked in and were seated immediately. The place was PACKED! The first thing I noticed was that it was a different menu than the one from August (2011) so we asked our waitress. She explained that, because of the event going on and the amount of people in the place, they have a streamlined menu with a more limited selection to speed up the kitchen. We understood immediately given the humanity sitting around us. So no hibachi steak this time. But I will have to say that the hibachi steak is a MUST HAVE if it's available. So delicious. So here's what was had by all: * Appetizers were the Artichoke Cheese Dip (delicious and plentiful) and the Boneless Buffalo Chicken Wings (which I were told were excellent!) * Husband, son-in-law and myself had the hamburger. Burger, onion, tomato, pickles, lettuce and mayo. Cheese can be added for $1.00. I had no cheese and the guys opted for the cheese. We all agree to leave the cheese off because the burger is so big and the slice of cheese so small you cannot taste the cheese at all. So leave it off. Other than that, cooked a beautiful medium, the burger was fantastic. Juicy and tasty and BIG. 12 oz of goodness. You cannot go wrong with this. * Shoestring fries - me - and they were good. Sweet potato fries - they guys - they proclaimed them to be just okay. * My pregnant, picky, easily annoyed younger daughter had the Mac & Beer Cheese dinner entrée and she was in heaven! She loved it. They give you quite a bit and she took about half of it home. A warm-up in the oven and it should be a lovely leftover for her. * My older daughter had the barbecue chicken which was barbecue chicken and that's about it. If you like barbecue chicken you'll like it. * My granddaughter (2 yrs old) had the chicken tenders and fries and proclaimed them "yummy!" I have to say that I thought them quite tasty also and I'm not usually a fan of chunks of deep fried chicken breasts. These, however, were surprisingly juicy. She loved the fries and was especially fond of the ketchup. * The guys thoroughly enjoyed their beer and loved the selection. I tried the Brewhouse Cosmopolitan martini and loved it. I'm not much of a drinker but could have downed a few of these if not for the $11.00 ea price tag * Desserts were very good. Chocolate Chip Sundae, cheese cake and my personal favorite the Banana Bread Pudding which I ordered on the recommendation of our waitress! WONDERFUL! The food is good! The service was great! I have to give a special thank you to our server Tara P. In all the chaos of the evening she was efficient, pleasant and attentive. We never felt forgotten. AND she put up with all of my questions and answered them all with a smile. If you do go to JT Schmid's try to get seated in her area because that is what I am going to do. Good food alone will not do it. Great service will keep me coming back!

Oh wait, this isn't the Yard House? Then what is it? If it wasn't for Britney Spears performing at the Honda Center, JT Schmidt's wouldn't have happened - believe me. But it was convenient and within walking distance to the Honda Center, especially if the nights goal was to get wasted and dance our butts off to some Britney Spears! It was a busy evening for the restaurant. There were fans everywhere, young and old, hanging out at the patio. We were sat down immediately, despite the crowd. Our waitress was very sweet and prompt about getting our order started. We ordered the artichoke and spinach dip, caeser salad, edamame, and sweet potato fries with strawberry margaritas and cadillac margaritas for starter drinks. The drinks arrived quickly. I excitedly took a sip of my cadillac and to my dismay, it wasn't strong at all. However, all the strawberry margaritas my friends ordered were perfect! My friend Julie and I ended up swapping because she couldn't handle the intensity of her drink. Fine by me. The food was really good. The artichoke and spinach dip plate however lacked a good amount of chips. Boo! The sweet potato fries were yummy though. We finished our drinks halfway through our meal and ordered a second round. I figured I'd get a strawberry margarita this time since the first round was strong. We were wrong. The second round of drinks were so damn weak, if not weaker than the first cadillac I ordered. Now I was really ticked off. What's with the inconsistency Ms. Bartender? Aren't y'all use to these busy hours? No need to jip us on our Jose Cuervo! I asked the waitress if there was anything she could do to "fix" these drinks, but she told us we'd have to pay for a shot on the side and mix it in ourselves. Eww, whatever. Now I'm forced to buy a 12 dollar beer at the Honda Center. Good food but weak and expensive drinks (one of my biggest peeves). Annoyed and disappointed, my friends and I left sober. Super boring.

Steer clear on game days but holy hell if you are down with veggie burgers like I am, then this is one great spot to be. I have never had a veggie burger made at a chain restaurant that actually made me say "DAMN!" and I mean "DAMMMMNNN!" in a good way. This bad boy is entirely too big for me finish because it is loaded with a heap of fresh hummus dolloped on top of the arugula and feta sandwiched between 2 whole wheat buns. The mound of hummus is as big as the veggie patty itself, so I had to remove half of it but man-o-man, this veggie burger is great. Make sure to pack a mint because the garlic breath you have after you eat this veggie goodness could kill a vampire.

I don't even remember what I had here, but I do remember it was amazing. Even had a pretty cool server talking hockey with us, and how he wishes more Ducks fans were as passionate as some of the Sharks fans. Overall, this would be my choice of where to eat before every game, if I lived down there. Then Apollo Burger in GG afterwards. Also, Hooters waitresses ain't got shit on the ones here.

Charging $5 more to park than the Honda center? Parking attendant shorted us $20 in change. Knowing this I can only wonder what kind of rip offs are being conducted inside the restaurant.

I came here last night for my birthday dinner with the family. The restaurant was great with reservations (there were 14 of us). As there was a UFC event going on across the street parking took a while (they have free valet for dinner guests). The place was close to empty due to the event, which changed the menu to the "event menu" (aka small). As everything I wanted to order was only on the "normal menu", our waitress was nice enough ask the kitchen to prepare the items and they did and cheered me right up (even though it was just truffle fries and the buffalo burger, it was still cool they did it). Our waitress was amazing, very kind and helpful, and always making sure that our glasses were full of water and asking for refills on sodas and drinks. She's a five star in my book (and the reason this place didn't get two stars)! The food on the other hand... That is where the stars go down down... down! My mother's rice and veggies were cold, my friend's sweet potato fries were bland (she didn't eat them), my sister's pizza was nothing special (she didn't eat most of it), my cousin's flat bread was "ok" but he too didn't finish it... The only thing that were really good was the steak (wish I got that it was soo good!) and my buffalo burger was good (not as good as Whole Food's, but still better than what most people got). I was really shocked to see all the good reviews for the food, it may have been an off night, but it was a disappointment. (the yelp reviews were the reason I book this place, oops!). I also found it odd that they don't sing happy birthday here...? They brought some ice cream around, and it kinda felt flat as they brought everyone an ice cream and that was it (though our waitress wished me a happy birthday!), it just brought me back to not seeing why we should go back for a birthday/family event. I don't think this place is where you take someone for a "special evening" or to impress anyone, but it is great to watch a game (there are TVs EVERYWHERE).

Had dinner here before an event we where going to an event across the street. We sat at the bar and service was sloooowwwww........ The house brews they have are good. I had the house light beer and was nice and crisp, they're hef is also good. I had the chicken wraps for an entree and they where ok. But like I mentioned before, they service is slow, it took too long to get your next beer. To sum it up it was ok, but most likely would not go back.

Ive been here many times before ducks games... Can get very crowded. (when the ducks are winning). I usually do the happy hour and a few beers, and i have no complaints. The burgers are good. When i venture out off the happy hour meal ill get the district burger and add a egg over medium added to it....

This is not a review of the restaurant. It's a review of Jason, the owner. After my last review, Jason sent me a message that, 6 months later, I saw and read. He apologized for a poor experience and wanted permission to contact me so that I could more fully describe my dissatisfaction and so that he could sent me a gift card so that I'd give them another shot. That kind of concern and engagement from the ownership wins me over every time. Just wanted to let you know....

I fuckin LOOOOOOOOVE JT schmids , both the Anaheim and Tustin Location. I'd say Anaheim's location is better, just because its much bigger and my bartender/ waiter for my recent lunch with my family was so personable :) The food here is always fresh. The lettuce wraps OMG so fuckin good, lots of wonton chips, this aint your PF changs lettuce wraps, its actually sliced chicken breast not that chopped up drenched in sauce shit. HUGE lettuce cups too, this plate is a meal itself so I didn't want to ruin my main course. My fish tacos were good, only thing I didn't care for about this dish was the tortilla chips, not enough salt on them. My sister had the juicest burger , made me think they used the prime rib meat by accident LOL. My mom had their new dish Jamacian Shrimp SOOOOOO GOOD, WOW. I can't explain that dish , you must try it mmmm. I've had this place about 5 times and I never been let down. Their Tuna tartare is tasty and super fresh sushi grade. Their Ribeye's are actually better than my all time favorite restaurant Mastro's , I can't deny a ribeye with rice , that is heaven for me. My mom had their pizza once, best crust ever WOW.Overall I love this place ALOT and could eat there every week and try each and every item....

Came in for dinner before Ducks game. The short story is... The bar was hopping, the beers are good, and the food was on spot. (The spicy wings are a must) This place was busy and the atmosphere was fun for a pre-game spot. They are remodeling the patio, so I will be back to check it out for an Angels game this year. Jasmine at the bar is the best! And hot, too! Thanks for the great service!

Before most Ducks games, you can find us here. Food has always been 'Ok', never great. Beer has always been 'OK, never great. Service during the mad rush has been very good. I usually only go here when there is a game or concert across the street. Hate to say it, but it doesn't stick out enough in my mind to become a regular stop. It probably has more to do with the prices than location.

A bit hard to comment on all the food because we came here for a private event with a buffet line of tons of food, none of which was very good. Our buffet line included: sliders, wings, spicy wings, sandwiches, pizza, meatballs, chicken satay, beef satay. For the most part, most of the food was pretty dry and not very tasty. The meatballs I actually enjoyed but everything else was barely edible. We were given a big room in the back but there was really no place to sit so we ended up having to sit on the floor. Maybe the restaurant underestimated how many folks were showing up? Doesn't make sense since there was tons and tons of food. Servers came by to take our drink orders and given how many drink orders they had to handle, would have to say they rocked. A better logistical plan would have been to serve us drinks at the bar and given us all a maybe wristbands? Saw a lot of people just waiting for drinks.

Think BJ's and a Yard House in one...except the service at JT Schmid's is not as good as either. After surveying all the menus for OC Restaurant Week, this place looked like it had a great 3 course menu for $20 (lunch or dinner). We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was practically dead - but I suppose that's because there was no Angel's game or Duck's game. There's a large bar area in the middle of the restaurant but it also had ample indoor & outdoor seating. For our menu, my friend & I decided to try different things. She ordered the Ahi poke, Caribbean glazed pork chop & banana bread pudding. I ordered the chicken avocado eggroll, flat iron steak and sorbet. Appetizers: Chicken avocado eggroll was ok but nothing amazing. It came with two dipping sauces that were both good. The ahi poke was good except there were moderately large pieces of ginger in it and I did not like biting into raw ginger. Main entrees: The pork chop was very good! It was nicely seared and the glaze was yummy. It was not dry at all - actually very moist, which was surprising. The flat iron was just ok. I opted to not get the bleu cheese butter (because I don't like the flavor of bleu cheese) and as a result, my steak was dry. I ordered it medium well but it was well done. Dessert: The sorbet was very good! Two giant scoops of raspberry & mango came with some fresh fruit garnish - it was too much for one person to finish so it would be a good dessert to share. The banana bread pudding was yummy!! There were slices of banana in the bread and it was topped with whipped cream & strawberries with a caramel sauce underneath. Overall the food was just ok. However, the service was not very good. Like I said before, it was pretty empty - about 3 tables total were occupied - yet it took so long to get our food to us. We were easily there for 2 hours which is a bit long especially since the restaurant was practically empty. I am guessing that they are used to people just hanging around to watch games but it was just weird to have that much time between each course. I might go again but the regular menu prices were a little high...but they did have a nice selection of food though. If someone else wanted to go here, I wouldn't oppose it but I probably wouldn't put this place out as a suggestion.

Came here before a Ducks game hoping to have a quick bite before having to pay ridiculous overpriced food at the Honda Center. Unfortunately...I ended up paying unwarranted ridiculous prices for crappy food and ok beer. All we ordered was a large pitcher of hef (18.50 for 64oz.) and their boneless spicy wings. Sure, there were a good amount of wings...but the taste was pretty blah. I'm a wing lover, and tasting nothing but spice and no real flavor just doesn't cut it for me. The hef was ok, but I'd rather get a hef from Bj's instead. Honestly, the only reason our visit to Schmid's was tolerable was because our server was great. She apologized for the change of menu and for not getting what we wanted. I'm just excited for my hot dog at the game now...our weak app and beer here left me even hungrier than when I got here.

PROS: The waitress was VERY sweet, Lakers lost against the Bucks (On jumbo big screen) and the kids pizza. A few miles from our hotel, so after a long day at Disneyland this place was open late enough to have a sit down meal. The Adios drinks were preeeeetty potent. CONS: The portions are a bit small. The price is good, but you get what you pay for. The angel hair pasta with shrimp didn't have my flavor. The poke nachos were pretty good, but the steak lacked flavor and size.

A-OK is an excellent rating for this place. To sum it up quickly (and please see the rest of the review for specifics) I would go here again if I was attending an event at The Honda Center as it does beat a15$ stale burger inside the venue, but would NEVER make it a "destination" to go out to eat just on its own. First of all, it is a REAL STRETCH to call this place a "brewery" seeing as though they had about 4 different kinds of beers other than the typical "Bud/Miller Light/Corona" stuff. I consider myself somewhat of a brewery aficionado and this place certainly DID NOT CUT IT! They had like NOTHING. We ordered their "seasonal beer" which was some kind of honey wheat...it was okay, but just okay. Food: The 2 appetizers we got far outweighed our main course. We got the artichoke dip (very tasty actually, and the salsa was good too) the avocado egg rolls (EXTREMELY GOOD!) However, we decided then to split the Macaroni and Beer Cheese and it was just okay. Kind of bland and tasted nothing like beer. We ordered a round of martinis (mine watermelon, fiance's raspberry lemon drop) which were very good and STRONG!! The martini selection was way better than the beer selection and this place claims to be a brewery, haha. I read a lot of reviews on here that said the service was bad. Our's was actually really good. The waitress wasn't overly friendly, but she did a fast, quick job which I prefer to a "nice" but crappy waitress. She even brought out the mac already split into 2 plates without us asking her. Again, we will return if we go to a Honda Center event in order to avoid Honda Center food, but would never go out of our way to get there...all in all it really was A-Ok.

After coming here earlier this year, I knew that this restaurant would be a fantastic place to have a Christmas dinner for my friends and I (at which point and time I made a reservation for immediately). We got together this past Saturday and it wasn't too busy where we suffered longer wait times on food and such, so that was a plus. The ambiance was nice inside, with the view of the marvelous kitchen, the large tanks of which their house brew contains, and their outside patio. Although, where we sat it lacked some lighting but didn't bother me much. Speaking of their house brew, I ordered a glass of their Emil's Amber which was phenomenal. We all ordered several appetizers (sweet potato fries, spinach cheese dip, and hummus sampler) all of which were delicious! As for the main entree, I ordered the Wild Mushroom and Chicken Pasta, and oh man, it was very very good! All the other plates on the table also looked very tasty! I truly enjoyed both my experiences here and would definitely recommend it to everyone for any type of occasion.

I would like to give this 3.5 since the food wasn't the best, and the reason why was cause the bf was bitching about everything, but i enjoyed my meal. but I'm gunna round up just because of OC restaurant week! a ENORMOUS 3 COURSE MEAL FOR 30 DOLLARS seriously for 30 dollars you get 4 samples of beer (which I just got all heff), good appetizers, and huge meal portions. I feel lazy about giving this a lengthy review and i have nothing clever to say so ill sum it up. THE DESSERT BREAD PUDDING WAS AMAZING AND THE ICE CREAM SANDWICH WAS BIGGER THAN MY FACE HOLY FK! Overall we had 4 boxes for a doggie bag for all 4 people, we seriously had more leftover than we ate cause it was that much food! THANK YOU OC RESTAURANT DEALS!

Here is my summary if you do not want to read the whole rant: For the amount we paid we could have gone to the steakhouse at The Disneyland Hotel had a much better meal, better drinks, and a lot friendlier and attentive service from our waiter. I have always wondered about this place every time I pass it as I drive by. One of my friends decided to celebrate her birthday here and it would be the perfect opportunity to try this place. There were 12 of us, all couples. When we arrived our waitress, Brittany, really set the tone of how the night would be. It was a night there was a game at Angels Stadium but noticed it wasn't that busy so I asked her if it would pick up later. She said they really don't get that busy and they were just finishing up with a couple of groups and were hoping to get out of there early. Well sorry for inconveniencing you. She had no problem getting us started on drinks. However food service was a different story and requires a bit of a time line. 7:30 everyone arrives and our waitress comes by to take our drink orders 7:45 all the drink orders come in but our waitress didn't start taking our orders 8:00 our waitress came back to take more drink orders but not food orders until a couple in our party mentioned that they were hungry and would like to order something so we started with appetizers. Our waitress went around the table and got our appetizer orders. 8:25 appetizers come out and waitress nowhere to be seen. 8:45 I spot our waitress hanging out by the entrance to the kitchen just talking to other co-workers and she spots me looking at her and comes over and asks if I would like another drink. I order another drink and she starts to walk off and another person in my party stops her and asks if we can order food. So our orders are taken and put in. 9:35 our food finally comes out and is served. However mine is cold. 10:00 we had the birthday cake and asked to get the check. 10:25 we finally get the check At this point it is important to point out at the begging we asked Brittany if we could have split checks to make paying easier. She informed us that since we are a group it will have to be a single check. I will get more into this later. 11:15 others were still trying to figure out how much to pay so I got my change from the cash already in there and took off A lot of things didn't have to happen if we had a better waitress. She was already disappointed that she wouldn't get to leave early since we showed up. She should have been more attentive to us instead of more attentive to her co-workers talking about weekend plans and what not. She should have gave us separate checks. You want your 18% gratuity, fine go ahead and add it on there. I guess she knew that with her attitude problem I wouldn't have tipped her at all. She didn't serve the food, she forgot my drink, she wanted to talk to her co-workers instead of doing her job, she didn't want to be there and we were inconveniencing her. So if you are thinking of going here for dinner, don't. Save yourself the time and aggravation and go somewhere else.

This place can get crowded pretty quick, especially if there's something going on at the Arrowhea...er, Honda Center. Not surprisingly, the only time I go there is before I go watch the Ducks at the Pond, therefore it can get pretty packed most of the time. The food is pretty good, not amazing, but good. (Unless you have the wings, the wings are great!) If you know what to order, you can get a lot of food for not a lot of money. It looks like it will be pricey once you go inside, but it's much cheaper than it looks! Normally I'd give this a 3.5 rating, the extra .5 is for location, it's ideal if you're doing anything at the Honda Center. Parking can be an issue, though, there's not a lot of it.

bad, Bad, BAD! Bad parking. Bad service. BAD FOOD. OMG the boneless buffalo wings were DRENCHED in vinegar -- it was so bitter! I couldn't even take a full bite, just licking it made me gag! And the classic pepperoni pizza went LIMP in my hand. It tasted like nasty cafeteria pizza from grade school. Yeah... it was THAT bad! (AUGH... That soggy, mushy cheese is still lingering in my mouth... GROSS!) The only positive thing I have to say about this place is the atmosphere is pretty cool. It's super big, large bar in the middle of room, and very nice bathrooms. lol But I don't typically go to restaurants to look at the layout of the building and occupy their toilets -- I come for the food! And as bad as the food was + the expensive prices ($12 for a crappy-ass pizza?!?!), this place is TOTALLY NOT WORTH COMING TO!

I've passed by this location many times, but never actually been here before. I was here over the weekend and it also happened to be when some high school competition was being held at the Honda Center. We pull in to the drive way and signs are everywhere saying parking is $10. I'm thinking," Great, now i need to pay to park when eating at this place?" Well turns out not the case, still kinda weird. There's a huge parking lot off to the side/behind the restaurant. Impression: I walk in and first impression is the place looks great. Large open area, tons of activity, a lot of TV's, but I keep thinking in the back of my head it's like a Yardhouse but with tons of TV's. One thing that did set it apart was the HUGE glass wall between the dining area and the kitchen, so you see absolutely everything. Experience/Food: We met up with a few of out of town friends, but based on my check here it goes. Being a brewery I asked for a sampler of the bubbly goodness. There were I think around 5-6, all of the usual and the one seasonal treasure. I just wished I took better notes, but for around $8 it's a great way to see which one is your best choice. She had some sort of walnut salad that she liked, and I think some other main course. I ordered the Honey Salmon topped with some sort of fruit sauce that I know slices of mangos were in there, and this was paired with tempura Asparagus on top of a black bean puree. I finished my dish and was still hungry. For $20 I thought the portions could be a bit larger, but it was very delicious. The food overall was out in moderate amount of time and was warm no complaints there. Service: The hostess was quick to seat us. Our server was great to talk with, easy going, and did a fantastic job. Price: After all the damage was done, I think the bill came to around $54. The beer sampler, salad, 2 entrees, and waters. Opinion: Usually I wouldn't mind the price, but both of us were still hungry after this meal. I feel that if the portions were just slightly larger, it would help improve things. The beers were great, and I encourage other to try the sampler, but I wasn't impressed with the food.

Just once, I'd love to come in here when my team wins a game. First time I was in here was for the Frozen Four (yes, a college hockey tournament in SoCal). My team loses in OT, and I've got to listen to 3 types of accents doing bouts of gloating/consoling. This time, we walked from Edison Field to this place and we entered into lots of scathing looks and Boston Sucks. This comes with the territory, so no worries there, but I'm guessing the beer and food would have tasted a bit less *bitter* with a W. The waitstaff was very nice and checks in on you the right amount of times. Food was good, but maybe a bit pricey for the quantity.

Not happy with the service. Large group policy sucks, they won't split the bill for you... they make you do it. Took 2 hours for us to get our food. Very unfortunate since our friend really liked the place and wanted to celebrate her birthday there. She felt so bad that we all had a bad experience.

The food was good and the beer was good, but it just seemed a little to expensive for what we got, maybe I was already jaded based upon other reviews but I had an open mind prior to walking in. The service was good even though it was a Friday night, there wasn't a crowd but I guess it would be crowded if the Angels or Ducks were playing, since the stadium are nearby.

Went for drinks and apps with some friends. Ordered the ahi tuna app, and I must say it was delish. Service was pretty good considering it was a Friday night. Love the outdoor patio. Plenty of fire pits and heaters for those unusually cool nights in SoCal. I would definitely come back to this place. Maybe even try an entree.

Insanely large portions and good beer. Perfect for watching sports too. The only bad side is that it is across from the pond (Go Kings Go!).

In a nutshell, good beer and mediocre food. I've been to JT's a few times prior to seeing the Sharks play the Ducks. The place gets packed before games and the Sharks to Duck fan ratio is pretty even. I enjoyed veggin' out with my IPA in hand on the outdoor patio soaking in the nice Anaheim weather. I would be receptive to trying out other places, but the fact that the restaurant is literally right across the street from the Pond makes JT's very convenient. Atmosphere compounded with the tasty beer before a hockey game is what makes me come back each trip.

Actually was there last night for the red wings and ducks game and would recommend going there if you are not very familiar with the area. The food was over priced for what you get but like Alison W, I would try the Mac & Cheese if you go. The beer was surprisingly good and if you're a fan of stout or amber beer you have chose the right place! All in all you can park there for the same price as the honda center and you can have a few drinks before and after the game to let the crowd funnel out.

The hotel recommended this place and after being on a flight from Boston all day, we were starving. Walked in and we were one of maybe three parties, but I'm chalking that up to the fact that we were on east coast time and it was only 3pm local. The food was great. I had the fish tacos with grilled tuna. To die for, not at all heavy and the fish was well cooked. I liked the side of tomato salsa and guacamole. Yum! My friend had the cheese and tomato pizza which was also great, the crust was cooked perfectly and the ingredients seemed very fresh. We had the chocolate pizza for dessert (erm... breakfast the next day as we took it to-go) and it was absolutely incredible. It sounded weird, but the waitress promised it was good and she was right. I cannot even explain it, just try it! The drinks here are very strong. Maybe it's just that Boston drinks are weak, but I appreciated it! I would definitely go back if I visited again.

Thanks to OC restaurant week, I branched out and took advantage of the great meal deal at this place. I had the 3-course dinner: 1) Chicken Avocado Eggrolls - ok, not the best. My favorite avocado egg rolls are still from BJ's. 2) Prime Flat Iron Steak, topped with Bleu cheese butter, fried onion strings and seasonal vegetables - this was yummy!! 3) Banana bread pudding - to die for!! The place was sadly pretty dead on an early Friday evening, perhaps because there wasn't an event across the street at the Honda center. There were more servers than there were diners and they were pretty much standing around socializing. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here but would probably stop by for the banana bread pudding to-go. The 4 stars is strictly for the food; service deserves 3 stars.

Came here after practice.. it was a good night for patio dining....especially as we got to sit right next to the fire pit =) Our waitress was friendly & efficient. I tried the chicken tortilla soup....hearty & yummy! I also tried the filet mignon tacos... they looked tiny! BUT very filling too! looking forward to trying more from their menu.

Fred: "what do you feel like eatin?" Me: "i don't care, just drive" Fred: "i just drove an hour and a half to get here." Me: "I had lunch at Rainforest Cafe in the happiest place on earth, there were gorillas" Fred: "oh, i'll take you whereever you want to go" Brewery food can be hit or miss ... but you keep going cause after a few beers, your date is hotter and the food tastes better. Luckily, food here turned out pretty good. We shared the ahi poke appetizer (very tasty), Van had a burger, Fred had fish tacos and I got the black and bleu ahi tuna. The fish itself was very good, but there wasn't enough sauce for my liking. It also came with battered asparagus which was also a booboo in my book. I like asparagus, but didn't need it covered in an inch of batter. I don't dock points for any of this because the menu descriptions were accurate - next time I can just tweak my order. The sweet potato fries are a MUST have though. Probably the best I've ever had. Good selection of beers - yummy hefeweiven and probably something for everyone.

Decided to grab some grub & beers before the Ducks game. Got here 3 hrs before the game to give ample time to eat. Then: 1. Hostess wasnt seating inside, telling customers its open seating in the patio. 2. Waited a few min for menus. Understandable with only 2 waitress in the patio. 3. Ready to order and the waitress didnt come to our table until 30 min after we got the menu. 4. Sweet potato fries were not very good, served with just ranch dressing. 5. Would've ordered more food but it took too long to get any service. 5. Took another while to get our check & pay I know its going to be a busy pregame rush but there were tables that sat after us - waitress gave them menus, got drink orders, and took their order within 10min. Was going to order more drinks but the service took way too long. This is the 2nd time I've been here & the service never improved.

Lunch the last couple of days here......service is friendly, the food is good. I have tried the Mahi Tacos (very good) and the Angel Hair Pasta with Chicken which was decent, not great but OK. I also enjoyed the chili which has a nice little (not big) kick to it. The inside is very nice, large amount of seating. I haven't tried the beers yet (lunch after all!), but will likely be back in the near future to try one of the Craft brews, as I'm always interested in the Craft scene and a good Craft beer. I always like being able to see the Brew equipment, and this location doesn't disappoint on that front. All in all a very solid 3 stars, worth visiting if in the area.

JT Schmid's offers good pub grub near the Anaheim Stadium. I am not a sports fan or a beer drinker, but I do love a good brew pub. JT Schmid's really delivers on a comfortable casual atmosphere with stick-to-your ribs food. My husband and I like to go here and order appetizers to share. Our favorites are the boneless buffalo wings - a huge delicious spicy portion and the beer cheese soup. They used to have a grilled salad that was great. That's right - grilled lettuce, it sounds weird but it was good! It gets busy during games - don't forget they also have parking in the back.

Went here for a friend's bday. The restaurant itself was pretty decent..typical American restaurant, plenty of parking. Food: I ordered the steak salad and specifically ask for the dressing on the side b/c I like to add only a little bit of dressing w/ my salads. And when I got my steak salad, OF COURSE they would get it wrong. Fully dressed salad, and not on the side like I asked. B/c i hate wasting food and didn't want to make a big fuss, I didn't say anything. Taste wise, it wasn't bad, but it there was a bit too much dressing for my taste. They surprisingly give a give amount of steak strips. The steak itself was cooked pretty well. Everything else was fine, my friends pretty much enjoyed the food. So we get to paying and the bill was split among us, $30 even each person. Everyone pretty much paid cash and we had one credit card. The waitress came back after collecting the tab and tells us gratuity wasn't included and she added like $40 bucks to the card. We were like wth? So we asked her to recount the cash again b/c the amount she was telling us was off by like $40 from the total of what we gave her. She comes back and tells us the same amount plus some odd dollars. And we're thinking, how can there be some odd dollars? We each paid an even amount. There shouldn't be any loose singles. And we counted the cash twice so we were positive we weren't off. Does that sound shady, or what? Either that, or she needs to go back to elementary school and learn how to count. We ended paying that extra amt she charged on the card b/c we had no way of proving that we gave more than what she was telling us we paid. But anyways, other than that whole ordeal, we all had a good time. UPDATE 5/18/11: Up 1 star for owner contacting me and offering a refund for the addtl charge. Very considerate of you Jason S.!

Enjoyed the atmosphere particularly right before and after an Angels game with lots of other fans hanging out. Cool patio area. Beers were good and service was attentive and friendly. As for the food, our group enjoyed their burgers, including the enormous $20 burger, with tasty fries and onion rings. Two disappointments for our group were the Mac 'n Beer Cheese (greasy, unseasoned, not cheesy) and the Chocolate Martini (Kahlua in a martini glass). We will definitely go back.

I live about half a mile from JT Schmid's and don't know why I don't go there more. I'm always satisfied with the service, drinks, and food. We generally sit in the bar area and the bartenders are great. Last we went was on St. Patrick's Day and I had a fantastic (apparently the last one) corned beef sandwich. Otherwise, I like the side-sized version of the BBQ chicken mac and cheese -- perfect portion. They also have some good in-house beers, and lots of TVs.

I came here for my friends birthday one time and I am not coming back here for the food again. I ordered a pasta dish and the cheese was like rubber. The portions were huge but it was poorly made. I can make better pasta at home. I know this place is convenient because it's across from The Honda Center, but I would not recommend you to come here for the food. I am sure the brews aren't bad and the atmosphere is fun on game nights though.

Went to this brewery right before the Angels v. Red Sox game on Tuesday night. The restaurant was very busy, but luckily one of us got there early to reserve a table. If you're not this lucky, don't count on sitting at a table on game night - and getting to the game on time! They have indoor, outdoor and bar area seating/standing. The actual restaurant is a neat brewery atmosphere. I thought the glass window looking into the kitchen was pretty cool. We ordered the spicy chicken wings, quesadillas and the buffalo chicken pizza. All were delicious! Especially the quesadillas. The spicy wings were quite spicy. The menu is very large, definitely something for everyone. I also ordered a large IPA, it definitely hit the spot! After sitting in rush hour traffic for 2 hours, then heading into a crowded restaurant - I NEEDED that IPA. In fact, I deserved it, we all did. The service was OK. Since the restaurant was so busy before the game, our server forgot small items (lemons in my sister's beer, extra silverware) and at one point she printed off the bill - before we ordered food. But overall, she was attentive enough and we had a great before-Red Sox-game (or Angels) dining experience here.

I bet this place could not stay in business but for the Honda Center (formerly the Pond) across the street. I stopped in with a buddy before the Kings-Ducks game. Here goes: The service was "good." We were seated promptly in one of the back rooms because the main dinning room and bar were full. Our waitress generally did a good job keeping up with a busy station and was working hard the whole time, but things took a bit longer than the should have. I attribute this to the long distances she had to walk between her station in the back room to the bar to fill drink orders and farther still to pick up food orders. That's not her fault, but it did affect the service. The bear was meh. I ordered a light ale, and it tasted flat. When I drink beer, I generally drink ales. I didn't like this one much. We started with a side of sweet potato fries. I don't know what they do to them, but I gave up on them pretty quickly. They were droopy and tasted undercooked, and I still can't figure out what the coated the damn things with. The burger was big but unremarkable. It was overdone. I ordered medium, and could tell by looking at it even before cutting into it to confirm my suspicion that it was medium well at a minimum. I had neither the time nor the inclination to send it back. The food seemed overpriced for what they served. I compare the food to the meh food I had at ESPN Zone. What ESPN has going for it, though, is in my opinion a much better selection of beers.

This used to be a favorite. My husband would bike here via Santa Ana River Trail from Huntington Beach and I would drive here to pick him up. We always enjoyed a good lunch and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the last few times the service has been horrible and the food mediocre. They have taken many items off the menu. It is now an "Events" only type restaurant. Today, The hostess was rude when I asked for a booth for two. There were 8 open booths at the time. She set us by the service area which was loud and ugly. I asked to be moved to another booth and she stated they were either reserved or the two lower booths had no server. Within two minutes after I asked for another booth, the other hostess sat two woman at the booth without "a server". Go figure! We will not come back. Evidently the don't care about regular diners anymore, just there events patrons. That's where they make their money.

Service is fine. The waitresses are nice but the food is really marginal. Our whole table got dishes with french fries that were cold and absolutely inedible. The rest of the meal was equally marginal with the exception of the Ahi Poke appetizer, which was pretty good.

Service was fast and friendly. Food was perfect. Chicken Sandwich was HUGE and the crispy fried onions were the BOMB! . The WEDGE salad was crispy, full of flavor, the ranch dressing was real, not bottled, and the Tortilla soup was amazing!!! 5 Stars. Perfect for a quick lunch. We were in and out in 50 minutes, and we were not rushing. Got there just before noon, and we were out by 12:45. Perfect Lunch choice!!! Thank you!

On business in Anaheim, I decided to give this place a shot at lunch. It was very busy for the lunch hour, but the service didn't lack! We were promptly greeted and drinks ordered! The menu is pretty expansive and people with all kinds of tastes would enjoy this place. I had the mexican burger which had a lot of guac, salsa and pepperjack cheese. It was soooooo good! The one regret I have is not trying the beer, but I was out with work associates, so maybe next time!! Maybe I'll go back later this week for dinner ;-)

I'm a big believer in customer service. This place takes advantage of customers. It knows it's the closest location for Ducks/Angels/Concerts, so if you walkout, someone else will gladly grab your table. They don't have happy hour on event nights. Lame. I guess this is why, when I drive by some nights when there's nothing going on, it's empty. The drinks are nicely poured. Cocktails are strong, beer is cold. But if you're not going to a concert or a game, go anywhere else.

Suffers from Overpriced Shitty Beer Syndrome we got the sampler of 6 of their micro brews the first one tasted like an MGD label that had been soaking in hobo pee The second one was equally shit, it was a Hef with no body. The amber ale and their IPA were the only decent ones of the bunch The stout just tasted like someone left a pot of coffee on for a couple days too long. good wings (the sauce has a hint of mustard, really works well, tasty taste) hot women prowling around on the clock and off. I will recommend they change the name to JT Shits.

"Not good at all. Food was bland. Spinach and artichoke dip was one of the worst I have ever had. It was a really weird texture/consistency. The only thing this place had going for it was the convenience (we were at a Ducks game) and maybe the microbrew. It's a shame too because the space is nice and their location was great too. Save your money and eat somewhere else!"

pro: Great Food, reminds me of Apple bees or chili's just with a better presentation. I expected the price range to be higher considering the location across the Honda center but they price pretty good. con: Table Silverware was dirty, plates weren't cleared soon enough, in fact they weren't picked up until after half way through the main course. Mashed potatoes on one dish was rather peppery, and the red velvet cake tasted stale and frozen as opposed to fresh, soft and moist. 1.Military Discount: not rated since i didn't ask 2.Presentation: 5/5 stars 3.Location: 5/5 stars, across the street from the HONDA center 4.Taste: 4.5/5 stars 5.Portions: 4.5/5 stars 6.Customer Service: 4/5 stars 7.Return Value: 4/5 stars Overall: 3.83 stars The grilled Salmon was great, the honey glazed salmon had great flavors and well presented. I would recommend everyone making a stop at least once, but if I'm in the area I'll be stopping by again. Parking: I would park here across the street instead of parking at the HONDA center, due to the heavy traffic and pedestrians that accumulate after an event, we parked here and had no problems leaving.

3.5 stars Came here last night before the Ducks game. This place is huge and everyone was on their way to the game. You can park at Honda Center and walk across the street. They do an excellent job of getting you seated, served and on your way without feeling rushed out. It was perfect. But watching this choreographed routine made me realize the food is prepared at warped speed and it turned me off. Most of the food is overly salty, huge and not so tasty. But if you know what to expect and you want a big plate of hot wings before the game (that is what most tables had) then you will love it. Oh yeah....in the Ladies there is a "towel girl" with perfume and hairspray , matches...and she wants tips.

It took us forever to get our waitresses attention, it took even longer for her to return with our drinks (which were wrong) and if her attitude wasn't enough her unnecessary slamming of our food and drinks on the table made it perfectly clear that she didn't want to be there. Neither did we. The food and drinks were subpar, not even good enough to withstand the bitchy staff. Never again.

We decided to returned back to this restaurant and give it another try. We ordered the buffalo burger and rack of ribs. Let just say this......the buffalo burger was the best!!! It was 100% better than the buffalo burger I usually order at the Islamorada Fish Company (Bass Pro Shop). The ribs were hot and juicy along with those delicious beer battered onion rings. The manager Johnny did a great job on making sure we highly satisfied with our meal. Thank you for the excellent service!!

went before a hockey game. super crowded. split a bunch of apps. nachos - good sweet potato fries - good brewhouse egg rolls - not bad they have a "special event" menu where they limit the amount of things served. our waitress even told us you wouldnt order a burger medium rare at a time like this because the cooks are just trying to do everything as fast as possible and itd probably come out well done. other items on the menu kidn of expensive too.

Came here for drinks on a Saturday night. The restaurant was really empty. I had the beer sampler of their house beers. They were alright. The service was okay. My biggest complaint was the dirty bathrooms! There was trash and paper towels all over. On top of that, there were no toilet seat covers. I would be more understanding if the restaurant was busy, but it was super empty and the staff was just standing around talking and laughing the entire time we were there.

Went there Wednesday night before the Pepper Concert at the Grove. Maybe because it was because the concert wasn't huge, or it was at the Grove and not the Honda Center that this place wasn't packed. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by the bartender who was not stingy with our drinks at all. In fact, I recoiled just a bit after the first sip of my cocktail. We ordered an appetizer right away, but it took a bit longer for us to get his attention to order our entrees. Once we did though, everything was smooth after that. He got all of our requested condiments out so we can enjoy our meals right away -- there's nothing worse than asking for a dipping sauce and waiting for it while your fries get cold. This place is great, and we were fortunate enough to get in while it wasn't so busy, but I've been before Angel games and Ducks games to walk into a full house and not find a seat. The energy is always great since most everyone is there rooting for the same thing (unless the Yankees or Red Sox are in town)... a nice feeling of camaraderie amongst the masses.

Been here lots of times, finally writing a review for it,. I like the beer here. As good as a bewery should be. The pale ale is nice. The food is probably above average of the standard pub type grub. Burgers are above average in my opinion. I lke the mac and cheese with bacon and tomatoes they do. The tuna ahi poke appetizer is very good. I have never had a bad meal nor bad service here, I go most times I am working in Anaheim. I would consider this place as a standard go to joint when working in Anaheim.

I have never written a review on yelp before; however, after the service I received here today at lunch, I thought maybe the owner would like to know. First we were seated and the bus boy got us water. We waited & waited & waited for our server to appear. Then the table in front of us had a server stop & ask for their drinks. He was then going to pass right by us & I had to interrupt & ask if he was our server. Ordered drinks & meal at the same time. We sat by the kitchen where there was glass, so you could see the cooks. The cooks were great & was getting the food out quickly. I saw plates of food sitting on trays for at least 10 minutes. Then the cook would take the food off the tray & put them under the warmers. When I saw my salad come out, it was put on the tray. Saw my husbands plate come out & put on the same tray. It sat for at least 5 minutes. Then the cook put husbands plate under the warmer. I literally walked into the kitchen to ask the cook if I could please have my food. So I pretty much served us ourselves. Food was very good. I then saw the manager (in the red shirt) just really doing nothing to help. Our waiter never came by until we were finished with our meal. I paid & as I was leaving I noticed the table in front of us, who got there before us, was just getting their meal. Very very poor service & poor management. Food should not sit for 10 minutes. I always liked this restaurant, but will never go back because of the service.

I REALLLLLLY love this place! Came to Disney and wanted to find a place that wasn't touristy, so drove around and found this GEM! NOT crazy crowded when we went, it is across the DUCKS hockey HONDA stadium, but must not of been game night so it was good. I ordered a "pear drop" drink, my new favorite drink! Onion rings are huge, beer battered and good! Ale and cheese soup is to die for! A thick cheddar/beer soup, nothing like I have ever had! Filet mignon was THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! Medium well cooked perfect carmelized on the outside and tender! Kids pizza is big and delish! ( I had to sample my son's cheese pizza) My hubby ordered the blue cheese crumbled steak, says it was the best ever as wel! ( and we love steak!) We went back and her ordered the french dip, it was really good too, a hint of rosemary...great flavor! I will definitely be back when visiting! I wish there was a place like this in my area! ps it is kid friendly too!

GREAT FOOD and ESPECIALLY GREAT SERVICE!!! Most of the reviews you read here on Yelp complain about the service much more than the food. Well, our experience was EXTRAORDINARY. Hosts Shaun and Michael and our Server Jill handled a very busy evening with professionalism and charm. Very unusual nowadays - so you should go out of your way to patronize places like this that actually act like they want your business. Food was great also. Good Work!!!

We got gift cards to JT Schmid's and thought we'd try it out for our anniversary. The food was good, pretty casual. There are a lot of burgers and pizzas. My husband had the fillet and I had salmon. It was typical pub type food. For a Saturday night at 6 PM it was empty.

Nachos were cold and soggy, edamame was good but ice cold? Steak fries and sweet potato fries were soggy, almost like they warmed up leftovers from someone else, ordered $12 glass of wine which they refuse to serve in glass (only plastic allowed on patio) but then the bottled water I ordered came in a titanic sized glass bottle? Bread pudding was unrecognizable and the egg roll was cold as well. I would say our group ordered a lot of choices and not one was a success. The waitress was friendly but obsessed with the drink "blowjob" suggesting it for birthday shots and kept repeating it over and over. All in all, a negative experience.

My friend and I came here to eat before the Ducks vs Canucks game. We got there around 5:30pm thinking there's plenty of time to get a table, eat, celebrate my friend's birthday, and then go to the game. Long story short, the place was super crowded, by the time we got a table it was like 6:45pm. Nevertheless, we knew what we wanted to order (we looked at the menu while we were waiting) and ordered right away. The appetizer (the chicken avocado egg rolls which was amazing) and our meal (steaks with veggies) all came in a fast speed. The food were absolutely amazing and the service was top rated. The waitress (name Jennifer) was super awesome and quick and friendly. We were able to have our dinner and have a little bit of time to digest before the game.

We went out for a girls night on Friday for the PBR event that was going on at the Honda Center. We decided that we would go ahead and eat here before the event. When we walked in it took a while for us to get checked in and seated. There were four hostess at the front but none of them appeared to be able to get things organized. After we were seated we were greeted by a really nice and cheerful waitress, she made this dining experience really nice. We order some drinks and some appetizers first. They were all spectacular. The egg roll dish was to die for, and this was recommended to us by the waitress. WOW, does she know the menu and what is good! Some us shared a pizza and the two others got a salad. Everything was spectacular. My mom loved her mixed berry salad and I love my seared Ahi Tuna salad!!! The pizzas were also amazing. The reviews of the Three Cheese pizza are spot on, it was wonderful!!! This was fun environment and I will go back to this location, for sure. It must be noted that the menus are not the same at all JT Schmid's!!!!

This restaurant/brewery is located right across the street from the Honda Center, which is where the Anaheim Ducks NHL team plays. Not coincidently, every time I have gone here (which I think now is up to 5 or 6) has been to grab food and beer before going to a game. For me, the experience has been great every time. My friends and I usually order BBQ chicken pizza, wings, and lots of beer. If you ask they will bring you beer by the pitcher, which will save you a little bit of money. I've tried all of their beers, and haven't been disappointed. They aren't anything special, but they have all been satisfying. My favorite is probably the stout, but that may just be because I love stouts. I knocked this place down to 4 stars, because I feel like everything costs a little bit more than it should. Also, I am always wearing my San Jose Sharks jersey when I eat here, and no one seems to give me any flack about it. Ducks fans are a little to casual.

We went here after an Angel's game. We sat down on the back patio at a table ordered drinks, then realized the table was broken. We asked to be moved, waitress said no problem. 35 minutes later we still hadn't been approached. Other than the long break a nice place. Beer was good food was good servers were nice. And then the waitress spilled ranch on my friend. It was funny more than anything, and I certainly don't hold it against her. Easy place to hang out before/after Angel and Ducks games.

i was so exicited to explore this place! from the website it seems like a fun BJ's kinda restaurant... i guess it still is, minus the food.... none of the stuff we ordered is good... meatloaf, fish and chips, pasta, sandwich.... the bufflao wings are good but there isn't really any place can go wrong on that... would be a fun place to hang watching the sports though.... but you got better choices like BJ's or yardhouse.... don't think i'll ever go back again..

Never go here when Daniel Tosh will be performing at the Honda Center. Place is packed with wanna-be fans that pretend they are edgy but turn out to be shitheads

I went here for a birthday party and my friend told me that it's similar to BJ's. Oh she was right. To me, this place is a more expensive version of BJ's. I tried only two appetizers as I wasn't too hungry. I ordered the spicy chicken wings and the sweet potato fries (as a few people mentioned on here.) I liked the sauce that they used on the spicy chicken wings and the sweet potato fries tasted similar to other sweet potato fries I've tried just a bit different. The food tasted average overall. However, the service kinda sucked to be honest. Our table was kinda ignored a lot whenever we tried getting a waiter's attention. Will I come back? Probably not, unless they have a really good happy hour then I am down! =)

I just came back from the Honda Center , formerly the Arrowhead Pond. The John Wooden Classic Basketball game was there and after an 11:30 AM tipoff my buddy Dante and I were hungry. I spotted JT Schmid's Restaurant & Brewery as we pulled up to the stadium. The place is huge and so is the food. Dante and I are coming back here for a Duck's hockey game soon. There are more than enough seats here for the entire Yelp Crew to enjoy a Hockey game, p.s. the Anaheim Ducks are 23-3 this season so far. I recommend partnering up for the Burgers and the sandwiches, there big and the Ice Tea tastes great, almost as good as a lite beer.

So Ed calls me up. Needs some photography work done. I finish the job. He wants to take me to one of his favorite spots. We arrive here. I order the Monte Cristo Sandwich. Super greasy. Very bad. I do not want to insult as I am the guest...so I take my portion home. Afraid to ever open that styrofoam box again...and see that thing. Buy an annual pass to Disneyland. Go to THE ORLEANS. Order their Monte Cristo with a delicious rasberry sauce. Enjoy. Tell em' a ghost in the haunted mansion tipped you off.

Currently my go-to Anaheim brewpub. Their beer is pretty good (I'm not going to rate them over three stars), and the food is decent. They carry a large menu of pub grub with more of a healthy slant than you're likely accustomed to seeing. Yes, all the usual brewpub favorites are here: fried everything, burgers, nachos. However, those with lighter preferences can give the Lite Grilled Chicken with side of vegetables a rest here, and choose from an assortment of salads, seafood, and sides. Depending on the nearby sporting events and locals' happy hour, this location and its parking can fill up quickly and stay that way.

This location is super busy during games and concerts, but it's a well designed location, and can hold a lot of people. The service is usually very fast here, and the food is great, like most brewery food is. When it's packed, you may find you can't hear anything around you, as the ambient noise levels are up there somewhere close to an airport runway.

We walked here from our hotel after a looooong day at Disneyland. It was New Year's Eve and not crowded at all! It was great that both the hubby and I could drink and we didn't have to worry about driving back. We just had to worry about making it across the street back to the hotel. This place is huge! With 2 private rooms and and outside patio. And the portions were huge! I had the nachos and the lettuce wraps. The hubby had a pizza. Yums. And a great kids menu...pizzza and spaghetti it is! And lots of crayons to keep the kids busy. :) After a couple of beers, we made it safely back across the street. Don't worry..we didn't drink that much. We just wanted to forget the craziness that is Disneyland on New Years Eve.

The Beer is great. The appetizers were wonderful. I have yet to have an entree that was good though. Its a fun place to sit out on the patio and have a brew. They have 3 fantastic lite colored beers. The energy is good here too. The Portions are quite large. But, they need to work on the quality of the entrees in comparison to the appetizers and the beer.

I don't know where everyone else is eating..... but it was clearly not at the same place! We were told we could seat ourselves outside, which we did near one of the outdoor fire pits. It was by no means busy outside but it still took about 15 mins until any of the three girls working out there glanced at us long enough for me to flag her down and ask for some menus. When our food finally arrived the waiter tried to give it to the couple who had just been seated near us as he looked confusedly around i flagged him down as well to let him know i thought it was our food. So, now we have our food and are ready to enjoy... only the food was awful! The cheese soup tasted like a bowl of melted fake cheese with a pinch of salt, and my chicken and avocado egg roll was devoid of flavor and of chicken. So we were obviously unimpressed with the appetizers but we were hopeful for the entrees... however we were to be sadly disappointed. My friend got a headache from trying to chew the incredibly tough medium rare steak, and my salmon had no flavor what so ever. Dessert was not so bad, but only because it was the least sucky thing we had that night. We ate at this restaurant as part of the OC Restaurant Week, where they had a special smaller menu of a normal menu items that you could choose from for a three course meal for $20, and thank god for that!! with our food, coke, iced tea and tip it came to about $30 a person. According to the receipt normally this whole meal would have been about $95!!! We will never be eating there again. In fact, upon returning home we wanted to vomit up the food, just to get it out of our systems.

Great food for excellent prices! Everyone was pleased with their dishes, and while I've had better versions of each, it always for much higher prices, so JT Schmid's value was impressive. While the "sushi-grade" tuna I had wasn't really sushi-grade, IMHO, it *was* nevertheless quite quite good. The fish and chips earned positive if neutral reviews; the beer-and-cheese macaroni won mad props; and everyone raved loudly about the delicious chocolate pizza (with four kinds of cheese!) that we all shared for dessert. The location -- literally across the street from The Pond -- can't be beat on game day or for a pre-concert meal!!

This was the start of our Sunday Yankee vs. Angels Day game. Since my father said he wanted to eat prior to the game and not the hot dogs or peanuts that the rest of us hard ass baseball fans like to do. I Called over to JT Schmid's since they are across the street from the Honda Center and see if they opened early before game time. They opened at 10:45 and game time was 12:30. PERFECT! I have been to this restaurant a few times before although I had not been in over 4 years. JT Schmid's is a restaurant/Microbrewery. I am always looking out for Micro-Brew Beers and JT Schmid's is not bad at producing better than average beers. Today since I was hanging with my son and father, I was on my best behavior. Which means no yelling at Angel fans or drinking to much cheap beer at the stadium later. But! I could not resist in trying there I.P.A. What is one beer?? I can't get in trouble! Yeah! I was right. I can't get in any trouble because the I.P.A. was a bit weak. It did carry a good amount of hop flavors but the alcohol levels were probably to low for a true I.P.A. As for the food. The menu seemed small! I thought they had a larger menu, but either way looking around I decided on Meatloaf with homemade Mashed potato's and Gravy. The meatloaf was OK. A little dry. They also grill the meatloaf after it has been sliced off. It has a smoked flavor that I didn't find interesting for meatloaf. The Mash and Gravy was good. I should of asked for a bit more of the gravy to smother the meatloaf in. Overall I don't come out to the OC much, but since JT Schmid's is one of only a few Microbreweries that is under 25 miles away from my house, I will continue to give them a try when I am in the area. Cheers!

We ate here the night before Thanksgiving as we were staying in the Ayres Hotel and hungry after the drive down from LA. The place was almost completely empty - of course, on a holiday week with nothing going on in the various venues surrounding it - but you couldn't tell by the attentiveness of the servers and manager. Someone was always present and walking around making sure everything was okay. The drinks were EXCELLENT - you could tell the bartender wasn't just slapping some pre-mixed sugary stuff together with the alcohol. She took her time and made us drinks that we really enjoyed - and that means a lot when they're $10/pop! Our server was Jill. She had the exact right blend of friendliness and attention to detail. We felt like our food took a little longer than it should have due to how empty the restaurant was, but she came right out and let us know what was going on. We both really enjoyed our burgers - my husband loved the fries that came with his, and I had a nice little salad on the side of mine. Overall a good experience and when we're back staying at the Ayres, we'll return.

My husband and I went here last week and were surprised to see how crowded it was for a Tuesday night. The place was packed and there was nothing going on at the Honda Center or Angel Stadium so we thought this place MUST be good! I actually tried this restaurant about 10 years ago when they first opened and I always wondered why I never went back, especially since we live two miles away and I LOVE BEER. After Tuesday's dinner I remembered why. We waited 45 minutes to be seated and it was curious how I went up to complain to the host because he initially said 15 minutes wait. He was able to sit us right then which meant THEY FORGOT ABOUT US. I figured the a good glass of beer would make my annoyance go away but their beer SUCKS! I tried the Amber Ale and the IPA and my husband tried the two lighter beers. All were crap - mine tasted like my neighbors second batch of homebrew. The food was overpriced and faux-fancy for a brewhouse. We found out that they were so crowded because there were 3 conventions in Anaheim that week - read: captive audience of out-of-towners. Though the drunk conventioneers were somewhat comedic, the food was mediocre and not worth talking about. I would have given one star but the service was very good from a young guy named Joshua - he was great. Ah, if I could only have my $60 back.....

Came here after the 3rd period of a Ducks game. We didn't want to drive all the way out to Heroes to catch the rest of the Angels game. Since it was playoffs, most of the people were either at the game, or watching it. The game was on, but the place was pretty empty and quiet. Our waitress was kind of cute in a way. She did a good job, but was a bit slow, even though it was quite empty. I'm guessing she was watching the game =P Food here is pretty good. Nachos are good. I had the seared ahi salad, it was a bit bland, but when you add more of the dressing, it's overdressed. The ahi wasn't the freshest, and it was missing a sear taste to the tuna. Maybe I should've stuck with the burger.

After not being able to get into the angels/rangers game last night because it was sold out, we decided to get dinner and hopefully watch the game on TV. It was a toss up between this and King's Fish House, so we went for JT Schmid's (Home of the Angels). They have a large patio area in which you can eat outside. The place looks nice and clean inside. We decided to eat outside. We got there home craft brew which tasted excellent. There food on the other hand, was just ok. It didnt jump out at you. We had the spicy chicken wings, bbq pizza, and guacomole egg rolls. We didn't order from the main menu because nothing seemed appealing plus the prices were way up there. $20 and up for the main dishes. And to my dismay, no angels game on tv outside. It was the hockey game. Service was good. Waitress was attentive. The food was just lack luster and expensive. The free valet was nice. Still tipped the guy.

I arrived at JT Schmid's and found parking immediately in an adjacent lot that is normally used for event parking when there is an event a the Honda Center or Angels Stadium. This is free on non-event days. tThere is a very nice entrance to the brewery-restaurant with outdoor seating before you even hit the door. I ordered the Stout which had great flavor...unlike the stout I had at Manhattan Beach Brewery just an hour prior. The restaurant has a very open floor plan and a cool view of the tanks through glass. Each tank had a huge poster on it with it's respective brew. The kitchen is also visible through a glass structure which was awesome. The TVs here are no joke. I was able to watch the Angels game with the locals as I ate and enjoyed my stout. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza for 12 bucks.the pizza was good for a place like this. I devoured the entire thing. On my way out, there was a live one-man band in the outdoor seating area. This is an awesome place to have a brew.

I ate there Saturday with a big group seated at 4 10-top tables. We were assigned four waitstaff who seemed annoyed to be waiting on us and were served food that was not at all note-worthy. We ordered drinks within 4 minutes of being seated but had to go to the bar to ask after them when they didn't show up 20 minutes later. My margarita was NASTY and the strawberry daiquiri a girlfriend ordered first appeared as a strawberry margarita with salt. When asked, our waitress said the bartender misread the order. I do not think it was the bartender who screwed this up and here's why: every time we needed something I had to scope the kitchen door, stand up, and waive both arms to get ANYONE'S attention to get them to send our waitress. When I had finished half my dinner (a sirloin on a plate with an uncut, unadorned plate with no veggies or anything else) I asked for a box. Our waitress said "okay, I'll get one" and then proceeded to set another diner's dirty dinner plate on top of the food thus ruining my takeout plans. I demanded the food be replaced but still got stuck with an automatic 18% gratuity where I wouldn't have on my own tipped anything at all. Tips reward good service and nothing about this experience was good.

Went in on a Tuesday afternoon. There was a concert at the Honda center later that night. Half the restaurant was empty, but they didn't have enough staff to seat us right away. After being ignored at the hostess stand for five minutes, we were told we could seat ourselves on the patio (which was full) or we could wait for 45 minutes. We walked back out of the restaurant, passing about 12 empty tables as we went. If the manager is so incompetent that he can't staff a pre-concert "rush" how good can the rest of the experience be? Avoid.

Went here after the Coldplay Concert...which is where everyone else from the concert went as well. They had a live band who was singing songs that we just heard from the concert...so it was great! We were reliving the concert again. We ordered pizza which came quickly and was good. The staff was very friendly and quick. Even though the place was busy they didn't forget about us. After we were done eating we went over to the bar area where the live band was and you could request songs and there was a little area where you could dance as well. Everyone here was very friendly. There is also seating outside as well...didn't get to experience that though since it was raining this evening. I did notice the staff calling a taxi for some of the customers there who had been drinking and they also waited outside until the taxi's pulled up for several of the customers.

DUCKS DO SUCK! Went to JT's before the Kings & Duck game for some drinks and food. Kings won, Ducks Suck. No wait time even though the place was full. Pretty big place plus a nice patio area. That was full though. I had two Pale Ales and the jambalaya plate. It was recommended by the waiter over rice. It was pretty good. Large shrimp. Although I liked it, I would try something different next time. Because we were pressed on time to go see the Ducks get there as*es handed to them, we had to pass up on the boneless chicken wings. They looked so good. My girlfriend had the BBQ chicken sandwich. Good stuff. Better than my plate. That is worth a try. All in all, good place. Service was a little slow once we got to the table so leave yourself enough time if you have other plans for the night. Worth a try. If I do find myself having to be in Anaheim for some reason again, I may stop by.

I've been here several times and usually the food has been outstanding. However, tonight, while the food was good, the whole experience felt rushed. There were two events going on in area, one across the street at the Honda Center and a Motocross event at Angel's Stadium. The place filled up as quickly as the night went along and that may have contributed to getting our main course 5 minutes after getting salads. Ughhh, hate that. Macadamia crusted halibut was excellent, salads to start were good, and the highlight for me was the banana bread pudding for desert. This meal was probably a 3 based on service, but I've had much better experiences there in the past so I'm going with a 4 for now.

Great beer, good food, good service ...... Right across from the Honda Center! A great starting point for a nice dinner and drinks before going to a game or concert. Happy hour here is crazy - and crazy is good. Lots of screens for watching games. They seem to get people in and out reasonable quickly. Lots of top shelf booze for some specialty drinks. Not the cheapest place - but worth going to.

Hmm, we came here quite some time ago, but I apparently never wrote about it. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch with his boss. His boss picked the place. We started out with the nachos. Now if I wasn't watching my weight and trying to prevent heart disease, I could've enjoyed this a lot more. It was loaded with everything nacho-y under the sun. The platter was quite huge. Chips were a little salty, but I really like salty chips. I never said I wanted to prevent high blood pressure and kidney stones. I had a dainty lunch with a cup of soup and a side salad. The vinegarette was quite tasty actually and I really enjoyed the salad. Maybe the dressing was a tad heavy-handed but it wasn't overwhelmingly so. The soup was okay and mostly uninspiring. For $10.95, that's a bit much since I didn' t really eat anything different from Corner Bakery or the like. He had the turkey sandwich. I'm not sure why it's not on the Web menu, but it was there in person. He liked it but wasn't in love. The fries are okay but they're not fried "fresh." We could see into the kitchen and it's all pre-fried and tossed into a giant mixing bowl (both types of fries). The server then piles them on each plate before serving. His boss had the seared ahi burger. It was quite hefty. The chunk of ahi was a good 2" thick. The sweet potato fries were not that great. I like Irvine's Veggie Grill's much more. Service was slow and for whatever reason, they served my boyfriend and his boss and left me hanging. We had to hunt the waitress down, who was surprised I didn't get my food. Considering it was the most pre-prepared of them all, I was even more suprised. I blame management more than anything else since our server was probably covering half the restaurant and during lunch hour, it was quite busy. I never got a refill on water until we got the check. I was rather parched by then. I don't know if I would necessarily come back again, unless I was at the Honda Center, which I'm never at.

Get the Mac & Cheese! That is all I have to say - ok - not really but seriously - get it! Was up visiting clients in Anaheim and we went for lunch. Normally I will get the Ahi or something somewhat "healthy" but for some reason the Mac & Cheese with Chicken, Diced Tomatoes was calling my name. WOW! Dee-Lish!!!! If you are going to blow your diet and order something that has more calories you can count - it better be good and this is by far the best Mac & Cheese I have had - worth every single calorie! Great service, easy parking and the best Mac & Cheese - 5 stars!

don't go to this JT Schmid's, take the drive and go to the one in Tustin at the Distrcit. Service will be better with a larger variety and the atmosphere is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY better. Tonight was an anniversary dinner date and just being told by 2 different people where to to park and if we were interested in buying any tickets was a turn off. there were no drink specials and the lack of a variety on the menu was disheartening. Last week spent 40 dollars that included a pitcher 2 sides and 2 entrees.. today 50 with an appetizer and 2 entrees and not including drinks.. definetly LOUSY... so once again don't come here and go to the one in anaheim!

Surprised I wasn't able to find this place on Yelp. (Maybe it exists but I'm just not doing it right or something). Anyway, went her on a whim for my friend's birthday. After the disappointment we experienced at Park Ave. in Stanton (yes, I will be giving them a HORRIBLE review, they're just not worth it right now), a friend of the birthday girl's suggested JT Schmidts. I was skeptical at first but after finding out the title "Brewhouse" followed "JT Schmidts", I was definitely down. First thing I ordered was a 22 oz. of their Heff. and was NOT disappointed, even ordered another. :) The food wasn't bad either, I ordered the Mac N Bacon. Yes, it was as heavenly as it sounds. The birthday girl ordered the Jambalaya and I was picking at her plate all night too. Surprisingly for a Friday night, it wasn't busy. Funny thing though, the hockey game was on T.V. and we caught it just as it was ending. We joked that all those people leaving the stadium was probably heading over to JT Schmidt's since Honda Center is just right across the street and the next thing you know, the place started getting packed! We thought it was pretty funny. Waitress was nice. Friendly staff in general. I realllllly wanna go back to this place, my stomach is growling just thinking about it m'mm

DUCKS SUCK!!! but the food here is good. Thank goodness the crap they're shelling out at the Honda Center doesn't spill over across the street. I went on a particularly busy night but even so, my wait time for a table was minimal if not at all at this close cousin of BJ's. The service is quick and friendly and the BBQ chicken sandwich was delicious!! The string cut fries were fantastic as well. My boyfriend had the jambalaya (as recommended by the waiter) and he was also very pleased. If we would have had the time, we definitely would have tried the boneless chicken wings as well. The table next to us had them and they were very tempting. Word to the wise: another person near us had what I can only guess was the ahi steak. It was pretty small and if I'm wrong, the steak is TINY! Would return but won't. GO KINGS!!! Approx. $50 for two entrees and drinks

dude this place was a blast... my friend and I went here after a concert and it rocked. food, service, price, and just overall energy... even tho it was raining crazy... all in all it was great. If I am ever in the area... I am def. gonna visit again. the waiter was attentive and quick with our order... AND these guys were busy... it was after a coldplay concert. must see... We go here every time before we attend Ducks games, and I know it is also tradition for many other fans to do the same. I love the atmosphere, especially in the playoffs, when the place is filled with other sports fans. We've seen quite a few players eat here as well (including Teemu Selanne in a private room). Even when it's crowded, they seem to get us in reasonably quick, and the staff has always been pretty helpful & friendly. The multiple big screens allow people to watch score updates for various sports & bring the diners together. I recommend the barbeque chopped salad, the sweet potato fries, and five-cheese pizza.

Summary: JT Schmidts is a great place to grab a gourmet meal before the game. It's probably great the rest of the time as well, but I wouldn't really know. The Food: The Mexico City Burger is one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had. The concept of a gourmet cheeseburger does seem a little oxymoronic, but trust me, this one is worth the price, and you will savor each succulent bite. The ingredients are fresh. The beef is seasoned perfectly, and portioned just enough to make you feel just under too bloated to walk the rest of the way to Angel's Stadium. Each of the on-site brewed beers are unique and delicious, with particularly high marks for the Hefeweizen and IPA. The Atmosphere: Again, I only stop in before games when I feel like something a little more luscious than my usual stop at my favorite Anaheim Sports bar, but whenever I'm here there is an air of Angels comradery. It can get a little busy about an hour before the game, but if I've never had any problems, especially if you are getting a table and eating, as opposed to just buzzing around the bar. Think Yard House or B.J.'s, but actually cool. Upscale restaurant/brew house. Staff: Friendly and accommodating. Tip: Sit outside. The service is just as good, and you get your own bathroom on the patio, as opposed to fighting to get in the indoor one.

A whole rack of ribs! Went there for oc restaurant week and my gosh I couldn't believe that when I ordered the ribs I'd be getting the whole rack! Tons of food for $30 plus 4 samples of beer! Don't drink so the hubby drank it for me... Only 4 stars because of the extremely slow service...It took more than 1 hour for us to eat there.. and I usually eat pretty fast... each course took it's sweet little time coming out and the waitress didn't even know that the meal came with the beer.. I had to point it out to her!

Went to their Anaheim (right by the Honda Center) location just recently. It was a not-so-busy night. The service was attentive and friendly. The Food orders took a while - apparently a banquet running in one of the other areas of the restaurant was consuming the kitchen's bandwidth. The food was good. Note: When going to JT Schmidt's, I expect decent quality pub food (that expectation was met), not a culinary masterpiece. The beer - well, that's a very subjective judgment. I found it OK, others may rave about it. I have had better microbrews. Had the IPA that night. Had their Hefeweizen at a different location, and won't order it again (did just not have the flavor I like in an actual Hefeweizen.....). Ambiance wise, again, what do you expect from a Brew House next to a Sports Arena? For that, it actually worked out well. Big Screens to watch Sports TV. The large dining room is layed out so that it does not feel like a large room. One can definitely feel comfy there while eating dinner. (Don't know how that would work out on a busy day when there's a game at the Honda-Center). Hence, overall, I give it three stars for "A-OK".

Went for an evening to hang out with friends. Nice atmosphere complete with battery operated candles. I like battery operated..... candles, because I have this tendency to play with flames or just completely blow them out. Nice view of the Honda Center, but i can only imagine how hectic it can be if you're trying to leave during the same time an event at the Honda Center ends. I actually ate before I came here, but I still found it enjoyable. I'm a french fry lover, and when I found out that they made sweet potato fries, I was literally in heaven! My friends got the artichoke dip, and that was divine as well! I had the beer sampler and liked their Hef a lot, and I'm not a big beer drinker. Our server was awesome. She really knew the beers and explained each one to us with awesome detail, not at all in a boring way! Here Here to Tj's. I left one star blank for me to come back and actually try a full meal... hopefully I can make it five.

3.5 stars Was glad my sister could join us for dinner. She recommended the place and a good recommendation it was. Appetizers - Ordered calamari as a starter, which was pretty good (definitely had worse at other restaurants). It came pretty damn fast too, which was a surprise (around five minutes) Drinks - Strawberry lemonade was OK. Definitely had better. I had the Jambalaya. Wife and I shared since we could not bring back to the hotel. I'm weak on spicy but I thought it was delicious. She said it was good and not that spicy (like I said, I'm weak). Sis had their version of mac and cheese, which was quite excellent in my opinion. Wife ordered the Caesar salad, which we split as well. Daughter and son split a pepperoni pizza. Server was pleasant. Would have given a full star, but she took a little longer to get our main order after we got the appetizer. The whole menu reminded me of B.J's. I would come here again, just to try their "mac and cheese". Anything with bacon is usually good in my opinion.

Got to try out the Restaurant part, but not the brewery. Had the Thai salad with seared ahi. I'd definitely get that again. Not too much dressing, good balance, fresh fish, and a nice portion. Good service, although I went in there at 1:30pm for lunch, but my waitress was very nice. I can't wait to P-funk there before a Ducks game!

My friend and I came here before an Angels game. We sat at the bar and at first our service was horrible. Another bartender noticed we weren't being helped and he came over and gave us the best service we've ever received at a bar. His name was Brandon and if you ever go there you should sit at the bar and ask for him. The food was the best meal I had had in a long time. Definitely recommend the sweet potato fries. I visit every time I'm in the area.

MANAGEMENT- Pay attention to YOUR restaurant. Went to a HS reunion that was out on the patio. Had a few drinks out there with my date. The barmaid out there shorted me $1.00 on my change (principal, not the $), so I told the bartender and said that was going to be part of her tip, so he took $1 out of the till and put it in the tip jar. I added to it. After thinks died down, my date and I went into the inside bar for a drink. Totally dead inside on a Sat night at 9:30 p.m or so. The barmaid came right over to take our drink order and gave us a menu. We just ordered water to start off with because we had been drinking outside. She brought our water and left. We sat there for about 10 minutes at the bar waiting to order, as she did everything else but wait on us, like fill the tray with lemon slices, etc. Finally the bartender? walked by (there were only 2 of them working behind the center bar) and I asked him if I could order appetizers. He took the order and it was served promply from the kitchen.Never got checked on again. Had to drink my date's water since NEVER had anyone come by to refill my water to take a drink order from us. I was going to order more appetizers, but after that we decided to leave. With all the food service places going under, you would think Management would make sure their restaurant takes care of their customers. NOT! That was my first visit there- AND MY LAST? I would bet they won't be there much longer! Even if they are, I will take my business elsewhere.

This is a fancy place. We went there after work on a Thursday, it was not too full. They have outside seating with fire pits and those lamp style heaters. The staff was friendly and helpful. We try various appetizers and they were up to par with the place. This is the kind of place to take your date for a fancy romantic place.

My family has been going to JT Schmids since it opened. In the beginning, it was so fantastic, we went at least once a week. Over the years, it has steadily become worse. A few times if the food wasn't great, you just write it off as a bad day for them. Now it is so bad, that tonight is the last time we will go there. The Ale/Cheese soup is often cold to luke warm. We send it back. By the time they heat it, and bring it to back you, your entree is coming in a couple of minutes. Tonight in addition to being cold, it had a bad flavor. Sour and too much cream. The Cobb salad is the worst ever. It is bitter tasting. The red leaf lettuce is a bad choice for Cobb salad. Normally Cobb salad is a safe bet in most restaurants. Not at Schmids. The red velvet cake doesn't even taste like red velvet. If Schmids doesn't get their act together, they will have to close down when the new restaurants open at the Honda Center. Now it is a dead zone if there are no events at Angel Stadium and the Honda Center. They need the events to have any big business anymore.

My husband and I went there yesterday and we loved it ! The food was so delicious! I would have given this place a 5 star but we were not really happy with the service. We were there in the afternoon and there was only 3 couples in the restaurant at the time with one waitress. We felt a little neglected by her. It would also have been nice if we had received a service with a smile. We would definitely come back for the food though and I would probably avoid the weekends as I can only imagine how packed this place would be.

Just went there tonight and the experience was only so-so. Ambience: it was very empty as no game was going on. Overall, the restaurant was clean and spacious. Service: waiter seems friendly but to me not too enthusiastic. Attentive enough though. Drink: husband ordered a beer and he thought it was not bad. Appetizer: we ordered the sweet potato fries as appetizer. It was just ok. First few bites were tasty but after that they were kind of too greasy. Food: we ordered steak and fish. Again, they were tasty from the first few bites, but became very salty afterwards. Bill came out to be $60ish. I think it was overpriced.

I like this place a lot, but it has really strange patronage/customer traffic patterns. It is packed prior to Ducks or Angels games, and I do mean, PACKED. It's a large place, probably on par of the size of something like Taps in Brea, but it also has a large outside patio area with fire pits. They have complimentary valet prior to the games if you are only going to the restaurant, but remember that you have to go around back for this valet. Come early or try to angle in for bar space. Now, if you are here at other times not related to games or events? Pretty dead. We have come here on at least 2-3 occasions just for their tasty beer, when it was really dead - I think maybe 2 or 3 other patrons at the bar and that was it. I think the games/events schedule in Anaheim and especially the Honda Center, keep this place in business. We were here one of the days when the recent OC/Anaheim Hills fires broke out, it was not crowded, and it was pretty eery in here watching the fires on the big screens. The bartenders have always been really nice here. I felt bad for our bartender that day because she was not going to be able to get home due to the fires and the road blockages. I love the Emil's Amber Ale here, it's really wonderful. The IPA here is too thick/too hoppy for me, I like a good IPA but this one has really has too strong of a taste for me. Love the amber here, though! They make a nice ahi poke, and I love the boneless Szechuan wings here- yummy fried breast pieces served with spicy/sweet Szechuan glaze atop a mound of white rice. Great appetizer but it's more than enough for me to get as an entree, and the chicken is really tender and all white meat, very clean tasting.

I have been setting up our San Jose Sharks pre-game get togethers at JTs for quite a while now and I am glad we chose this destination. The waiters and bartenders here deliver great service and definitely know how to cater to the sports watching community. Even though most of us root for the opposite team, the bartender manages to give us a hard time in a good kind of way and yet give us plenty of strong drinks. Drink prices are very reasonable for a restaurant in this area. I highly recommend coming to JTs for all your pregame needs at the Honda Center, even if you are a poor misguided soul wearing a Ducks jersey.

You come here for the beer! I had the Hefeweisen and thought it was pretty good. I ordered the Mexican burger with jalapenos which had good flavor. I regret not getting a pizza. My boyfriend had a salad which was good, nothing spectacular. I'd come back, just to hang out, have some beers and appetizers.

I love this place, can't understand why this place is never busy (unless of course there is an Angels or Ducks game). I've always had great food. The sweet potato fries are what keep me coming back. I am a vegetarian, but am very picky about veggie burgers, theirs is excellent. I've also substituted it for other burger choices and they have a great burger selection (who doesn't love egg on a burger). My meat eating friends have ventured outside of the burger choices and were not as satisfied, so I would say stick with the burger selection and it should be great. French Dip was decent & Monte Cristo was awesome (for those meateaters). Although, I expected a brewery to have better tasting beers.

Went there for lunch, while it was a little dark, the food was good! I like the honey ale, and the hef is nice too. The fries are good, thinner than usual and the sweet corn mayo that goes with them is great. All the waitresses are hot, and friendly, tip them well and they'll return the service!

GO DUCKS!!!! its always great when you have a place to go to before the games to get some drinks and good food. Ive pretty much had everything there and all their beers. if you like BJs youll love this place. Just get there early if you are going to watch a game or an event at the honda center. Try the Shrimp appetizer. and GO DUCKS GO ANGELS!!!!!!1

Kind of tame and sterile for a sports bar-ish place. Or is that just because I was in Orange County? How can there not be any energy at a place like this? Aside from that, the food was... good. I was there with a big group and every time I asked someone how their food was, I always got the same sort of response: "It's.... good." We got our money's worth on the drinks. The bartender poured some good drinks! And our servers were good too. Would I go back? Probably not.

My boyfriend and I came here for restaurant week and got the 15$ lunch offer. We had wanted to try the place forever. It started with a bread basket filled with all different types- the bread was incredible! Then we each got an appetizer, he got the house salad with ranch which was terrible! There was no flavor to it and extremely boring, only lettuce and one chunk of tomato on the plate. I ordered the chicken avocado eggs rolls. Those were the best thing we got! I definitely recommend them. Then we both ordered the french dip sandwich actually we ordered bread with 75% fat and 25% meat. I couldn't believe it all the excitement out the door! Regularly the sandwich is $12 alone. Not worth it at all! Then to the service, every time our waitress came by she apologized because she had been gone so long. It was noon on a Saturday the place had 4 other tables and 1 other waitress, what was she doing the whole time? All in all I would not come back here, we only experienced 1 good thing and 4 negatives.

i have to give this place three stars only because of the waitress we had, also because of the people that went. anyways i thought it was actually too dark in there, and the "works" pizza was not all that great. would i go there again???.....probably not.

Went here before the Ducks game and I was impressed. If you want to park in back and see the game, the charge is $20 which was a bit much but whatever. The restaurant is big, but we didn't need any reservations - the place was busy and the atmosphere was good. There weren't any booths left, and our table location wasn't awesome but thats what you get for not making reservations. I started with their house Hefeweizen and it was very good, but I would have preferred it without the lemon, which was overpowering so I took it out. My friend and I started with the wings and they were really good and came with plenty of celery and carrots. After that we ordered the thai chicken pizza and split it, I ordered the house IPA and I enjoyed it. The beer is priced well and after the wings and pizza and beer I was stuffed. I was surprised at how fast the service was, considering the game was starting about 45 minutes later. Go here for sure, but try to combine it with an angels or ducks game and you'll have a great time.

Thursday night. The angels played the red sox. Visiting the city of anaheim i wanted a good meal and a nice cold beer before the game. Enter jt schmids. With the advice of yelp j and i opted for this restaurant and brewery. What a great choice! Our server lisa was great. Even though it was a game night she was attentive and professional we never had to look for her. She was always right there to offer another drink, check to make sure we had condiments, napkins etc. By the way the stout here is, wait for it..... Over the top amazing and as for the genius who said the stout tastes like three day old coffee. I wish my coffee tasted like jt schmids stout after three days. If so, i'd bottle it and sip on it for sure. For dinner i had a buffalo burger it was so good. It was lean but juicy i loved the roasted red pepper mayo on the burger. I chose coleslaw for my side and it was super fresh with mango and red and green peppers. The slaw here is light and vinegary, is that a word??!, anyhow im glad it wasn't oily or heavy on mayo. But on the contrary it was light and very refreshing. The best part of the night was when the red sox beat the angels. But jt schmids was a great pre game destination and whenever i visit the area again i will not hesitate to visit here again. Lets go red sox! Fyi valet is free if you're eating at the restaurant before the game. Just remember to tip friends.

Service was garbage and food was meh. We sat outside and waited 15 minutes for a server who never came. Finally, I flagged down a server and told her we'd been waiting, and asked if could we get some help. With reluctance and an annoyed attitude she said it wasn't her section, but she'd take our table. Ummm, thanks? It seems the customer is a burden at this place. Alcatraz at the Block is the place to be before Ducks/Angels games. This place doesn't deserve your money.

Waited an hour because of duck's game which I was totally fine with. But ordered appetizer and it came with food. Ummm it was a cold appetizer so don't know why I didn't get it before. Literary I canceled an order 2 mins after I placed it when I realized that what me and my friend ordered would be enough and the waitress would not cancel it. The food tasted good but the service sucked. Would not go back. I don't mind paying for a good dinner but I won't tolerate bad service

I will take a the Large IPA thanks verry much. I find that being here i am never hungry just in the munchy mood. the artichoke dip and the nachos and the pizzas umm all veryry tasty Its got to be the beer. its a lively place to be when there is an event at the Pond or Angels stadium get there early or ur outta luck to sit down i find the patio the place to be with large groups . the mix drinks are a little watered down and overpriced so id stick with the excellent selection of beer they have. check it out and dont for get to try the pizza

We've got tickets to go see Andrea Bocelli and we get to Anaheim way, way early. We'd planned it... We figured we'd drive down from Woodland Hills and find a sports bar so we could watch our favorite football team, the Forty Whiners, battle the Packers of Green Bay. That was not to be... We got to JT Schmid's and thought it would be a convenient place to hang, seeing as it's literally across the street from the Honda Center. The place was so dark in there, even at 3 PM, we could hardly see a thing. Fifteen minutes later, after our eyes had finally adjusted to the vampiric atmosphere, we both ordered a Honey Ale and we shared a five cheese pizza. The beer's very good... 5 stars. The pizza only gets 4 stars, though, because even though it was very good, the crust should have been firmer and they should have put in blue cheese instead of smoked Gouda in order to balance things out... They're showing the Chargers beat the shit out of Denver, which is fine by us, but we'd love to get one screen to show the niners game. Apparently they were all too clueless in there to figure out how to do that, so they lose another star there. We finished our beers and left for about an hour and a half to kill some time. We were meeting some people back here at 5:30 PM for dinner before the show. The food was pretty tragic. Huge portions, but not much as far as substance is concerned. The garlic mashed potatoes must have had literally 2000 garlic cloves in there (can you say overkill?) and the barbecue chopped salad, albeit humongous, wasn't all that special and certainly not all that chopped. The Ale and cheese soup, though, was rather yummy. I heard complaints about the halibut, the salmon, and the steak. In other words, don't come here expecting a good meal. Edible and filling, yes. Good and tasty, doubtful. Just make it a liquid lunch or dinner and you'll be fine. All in all though, not enough to bring us back here... Unless, that is, we every find ourselves back at the Honda Center for some event. JT Schmid is around almost exclusively because the Honda Center is right across the street. Take away the Honda Center, and JT Schmid will quickly sink into oblivion...

Well, we were there early for lunch on a Saturday...this makes me happy because being that It is across from the Honda Center and I hate to wait too long (yes I'm a pre Madonna!). We were headed for Kings but another "fish" spot is next door, and I really wanted to go to Melton's Tackle shop,so we went. This place reminded me of BJ's, same basic colors etc. Our Server Dana L was very nice she suggested I have "Emil's Amber". I got the large one of coarse and I must say it allot better than Bj's amber. I asked Dana how the Grilled Mahi Fish Tacos were and she said they were the best, so I bit. Again...better than BJ's. Nice big chunks of fish and extremely tasty! I loved them. My wife had a French Dip...better than BJ's too. The horse radish sauce was awesome and there was a ton of meat in it. Ill get that next time. My children liked the straws that came with the milk and that was about it. The spaghetti and the Pizza off of the kids menu were good. I will go back I'm sure. By the way, I never made it to Melton's.

I went there with my daughters and brother-in-law after a Ducks game that turned terribly sour. The place was almost empty , and were prompltly seated only to be ignored for 20 minutes without a single person acknowledging us. We had no water , no settings and not a darn soul would come up to help us even after we tried flagging someone to help us. So finally we got up to leave , and I took it upon myself to talk to a goofy manager who showed no interest to accomodate us but to say "please come back again." All the while we're being ignored I noticed the manager horsing around and mingiling with other staff members , especially with a very rude bartender , and the other waitresses were just going by as we didn't exist. Shame on such atrocious dump and the hell with such BS and racist staff. I will never set foot in this dump again !!!!

place was pretty cool. we ate outside which had a nice set up....bar and fire pits and heaters....you must try the sweet potato fries!!!! they are hella good. calamari was blah nothing really special. the ahi dish was so yummy and my BF had the fish and chips which he enjoyed ;-) be warned: it is across the street from the ducks stadium and it was hard not to talk crap to them. we were like "GO SHARKS"!!!!!! overall this place was A-OK

Wanted to avoid the parking lot mess for a concert, so called JT's for parking information. The hostess said if you eat there, no charge for valet even if you leave it for the event. When we arrived, the valet said the hostess was wrong and it would be $25 to park if you left your car longer than your meal. Too late to change plans at that point, food was mediocre, but waitress was very good. Sent a complaint message through opentable.com , never heard from the management. AVOID!! We will pay for preferred parking from now on.

So I have the inside on this place, can shed a little light on what is happening here. I have worked across the street for a while and have tried various dishes but have recently met the owners and have the low down. I had stopped coming a while back and it turns out the management had focussed on building and opening their other place and not on this one. The owner came in and fired four senior staff in one week, started to manage this restaurant himself and things seem alot better. I have been a few times recently and have not been disppointed. Service has been solid, maybe I am easy to please but, frankly I am your typical reserved Englishman and I don't want to bond with wait staff, just get pleasant service in a reasonable time without a three hour presentation of the specials intermingled with cheesy try hard jokes that I have heard in some other places. So, what is good, I can only speak to the lunch menu but if you are ordering soup you are sure to walk away happy. My colleague from Virginia beach said the Clam Chowder was the best she had had. The burgers and salds are excellent but definitely your typical American monstrosities, with enough food for a small village. If you have come before and not had a good meal, you might give it another try, it is a whole different deal and well worth a visit. Update- just tried the twenty dollar burger which is a 1 pounder. Wonderful! Waitress Lisa was delightful.

Hadn't been here in a while. Decided to test my luck before Stanley Cup playoffs. Service - Horrible. I can't slam the bartenders because the place was packed. However, we hardly got a smile and they forgot to place part of our order. Price - Average but definitely not cheap. If there were Happy Hour prices, we sure didn't get it. Clientele- Got there at 5:30 for a 7:30 Ducks vs. Sharks game. Packed but still managed to find a seat at the bar. Clientele ages are all across the board. Upper 20's and above. Fun fun place to go before the games though. People are friendly and pumped up about the game. Met nice groups of people. Food - 1. Roasted Garlic & Potato - Ask them to crisp the crust or it comes out a bit soft. However, the ingredients blend well and is quite tasty. Wish I would have ordered Italian sausage with it. 2. Traditional Pepperoni - Classic. Decent amount of pepperoni's. Tomato sauce was well flavored. 3. Side of Sweet Potato Fries - Meaty and a good alternative to regular fries. Comes with ranch. 4. Hefweizen's and Irish Car Bombs - Check and check!

We were vacationing in the area and are always on the lookout to find a good brewery. Usually brewery's have either good beer or good food...rare to find one that scores in both categories. Giving it a five star was a bold move because I've only been there once but we had an excellent experience. First of all, I had the best blackened chicken sandwich I have ever sunk my teeth into...yum! Here's the cool thing...I loved the blackening season so much I asked if they sold it. They don't sell it so the chef gave me a nice size container of it free. They also said they would give me the recipe if I emailed them. Very cool. Our service was terrific...now granite, it was the middle of the day on a Wednesday and it wasn't so busy but the wait staff was extremely friendly. Fries are great too. We had a sampler of the beer and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful (except for the annoying televisions posted around the restaurant). This would be our 'go to' place if we lived nearby. Can't wait till we can visit again!

Went here after The Ducks game. It's right across the street from Honda Center so it's perfect for walking. My friend and I went to the bar which was empty so I will review again when I actually eat here. The customer service was good, and so were the Tots we had, but the beer was pricey. I can't give this place higher stars because I actually didn't eat here and our pitcher of beer was 12 bucks but was only 3 beers worth. A little small for my taste, and for the price. I'll be going again though next game.

Food and service are really good! I recommend a burger or the Barbecue Chicken Pizza! BIG THING TO NOTE: IF THERE IS AN ANGELS GAME, DUCKS GAME, OR CONCERT they switch to a limited "event menu". Overall Message: Get a reservation, check out the schedule!

Back in April, we were staying at the Ayres Hotel which is across the street from JT Schmid's Resturant. We asked the employee that checked us in where the nearest sit-down eatery was, and she recommended JT Schmid's. I had the spicy ahi tuna salad, which I requested be made with no onion and have the dressing on the side. My salad first came out with onions, but at least the dressing was on the side. Our waiter noticed the onions right after he placed it on the table (why he didn't look before he brought it over is unknown) and took it back. It was fixed so there were no onions but tossed in the dressing, which I didn't particularly care for. Also the "sushi grade" tuna was cut into itty bitty pieces, and did not taste like it was of high quality. As for my husband's meal, three words can sum it up: Holy Flipping Garlic! He ordered a pasta dish that had chicken and an absoutely ridiculious amount of garlic. He picked out over 20 full cloves before pushing his plate away. We would not return based on the quality fo the food we got for the prices paid.

We stopped in this restaurant after the Angel's game on Sunday. There were six of us in all. We all ordered different items from the menu. I got the blackened chicken sandwich and immediately saw that the chicken was cold, but thought that was the way it came. We all ate and left and I payed our check being over $100. Today when I woke up, my stomach seemed to be bloated and "on fire". I also had alternating hot and cold flashes and the dry heaves. When I was able to, I called my adult son and adult daughter and was advised that my daughter in law and daughter were suffering from the same symptons as I was. It should be noted that both ladies ordered the same dinner from the menu. I researched these symptons online and numerous medical websites came to the same conclusion......FOOD POISIONING. I am retired lawyer and can only say....CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!!! (Let the buyer beware) about this restaurant. I can say that none of us will ever be back there! I would have given this restaurant zero stars, but Daniel, our waiter was friendly and accomodating. Therefore one star. If you care to check, our receipt number is: 0144 and we were at table 303

The food looks better than it is. Even my 9 year commented on the lack of seasoning. Our waitress was new so I will cut her some slack. I did have to ask for water, salt, napkins, ketchup and the check to be fixed (was double charged on one entree) If you are going to the Honda center and want a dry boring 20$ burger, fish sandwich, frozen fries and a 12$ beer look no further. Also no one seemed to care that the men's room toilet was broken. Good times?

That Anaheim "IPA" on the menu is garbage. I don't even know what it is, maybe an amber ale? It's dark, syrupy, caramelly, and way too heavy tasting. Seems like hops were added as an afterthought, and they lack the citrus zest typically found in cascade hops. It's just a low quality beer trying to sell itself as a trendy IPA. Couldn't finish it. Felt sad. Went somewhere else.

Ok, let's try this again... I was compelled to return here recently, after my last unimpressive visit, and I'm glad I did. My chick and I came here for some pre-show booze and food before Van Halen played across the street. The place was packed - seriously, it was shoulder-to-shoulder in some spots. Lucky for us, we were able to snag a table for two immediately despite the crowds. Our server quickly got us started on a couple tall, fresh Hefeweizens, although they were served in plastic cups rather than pint glasses (which I'm sure had everything to do with the massive crowd). We split a couple apps - chicken & avocado egg rolls and the seared ahi. The seared ahi was excellent. It had a perfect sear to it, and the raw interior was soft and perfectly colored. There was also a little Asian salad buried beneath the ahi that was a nice complement to the dish, very refreshing. I wasn't nuts about the egg rolls; too much fried breading and the avocado inside was a bit too soft. Of course, I've also never been a big fan of this dish anywhere else I've had it, so I wouldn't say it's that they do it bad here; it's just not for me. We sucked down 2 more brews and then headed out the door. Big thanks to Johnny for helping out with the tab!

I was here a few weeks ago when I went to a concert at the Honda Center. I give it bonus points because it is right across the street and even though it was packed, I didn't have to wait for a table. I was there on a Friday night so it was pretty busy but the service was prompt and I didn't have to wait a long time for refills, food or the bill. The food: I ordered two items there because I figured that I might have a larger dinner later. The first item was tater tots from the appetizer menu. This came with two sauces which I believe was a chipotle aioli and spicy tapatio ketchup. This was about $6.50 The other was the Ale and Cheese Soup which is $4.25 for a cup or $5.50 for a bowl. I got the bowl and it was pretty good but the JT Light ale that is made with gives it a bit of a different taste than other ale soups that I have had. It was good but you really kind of relied on the cheese flavor to help it not be too bitter. Since I'm not really down in the area very often I can't say that I'll be coming back to check out the rest of the menu really soon. However, if I am at the Honda Center then I will head over and try some of the other things they have to offer. Since this was just a quick snack stop for me I'll rate it a three and then come back again sometime and update my review.

Pretty good. I started with the artichoke dip. Chips were good, but the artichoke dip was missing something. It wasn't as savory as it should be. I got the bbq chicken pizza, the crust was too thick and all the ingredients were all in the middle of the pizza and every time i picked up a piece, the cheese and chicken, everything falls off the pizza. =[ But since it was pretty good besides it falling all over the place, I scooped it up to stick it back on the slice. 20 Dollar Burger was pretty freakin monstrous and good! It was so big seriously, almost the size of my face. its a slice of prime rib topped off of your burger. =D Fish & Chips pretty good, but I think maybe it needed more salt and it may have been a little overcooked as the batter ripped the roof of my mouth. Overall, it was good. i liked the atmosphere and the food was good too.

Came to this place for a wedding rehearsal dinner. I was actually pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be more like a casual, unorganized mess with tables of people everywhere. It was actually in a room with waiters/waitresses catering food in. There was so many delicious appetizers that I was too full for the actual entree! It was inside the Barley Room and there were 2 televisions were we enjoyed watching a video speech and slideshow of the bride and groom to-be. I loved how we could close the doors so that we felt like the only ones in the restaurant. The room was huge and people were able to mingle standing up instead of being confined to their seats. I split the entree with my mom so we got to try each others. The entrees we picked were BBQ Chicken Salad and Fish Tacos (came with 3). The BBQ Chicken Salad had way too much BBQ sauce on and I should have asked for it on the side. The fish tacos were delicious and were double wrapped with corn tortilla (made it feel more authentic). For dessert I had sorbet. It was one scoop of mango sorbet and one scoop of raspberry sorbet. The mango was delicious but the raspberry tasted a bit sour for my liking.

Similar to Bj's but not as good! Service was horrible, there was no drink menu and the waitress did not once tell us what they served until we started asking for drinks they did not serve. She got our pizza order wrong , we ordered "the works" and brought us pepperoni . She didn't refil our drinks until we had to call her over to request a refill. When we finally got the correct pizza, it was soggy and cold. The fries from the kids menus were cold. The only good thing was she didn't charge us for new pizza since she made the mistake. This is the only restaurant across from the Honda center so I came here without choice. I will not be coming back by choice ...

I'm impressed with JT Schmid's service... in the restaurant and out. I visited a couple of months ago and unfortunately was there on a day when the beer brewer left some doors open while brewing and well... you can read about it in my previous review. I was pleasantly surprised when, a few days later their corporate office thanked me after they heard about the situation and expressed how they were mad that it happened. I was surprised that they were proactive and on it so fast... I didn't even contact them or make a fuss with my server at the time. Today a friend and I came back for lunch and it was how a good sports bar and brewery should be... lots of beer on tap, different sports channels playing on various screens, not to mention great food, and friendly service. I had the lunch pizza and salad combo. The personal size pizza is actually quite large at about 9-10 inches. You can pick from any of their pizza offerings... no extra charge. For the salad you can choose garden or caesar. My friend had the Thai Salad, her "go to" dish. That's a generous sized salad with greens, tri-color peppers, peanuts, carrots, and bean sprouts in a wasabi vinaigrette. A great place to hit up for lunch, or before or after game or a concert.

Went here before the Fall Out Boy concert on Friday night with a group of 5. Here goes... Beer sampler: 8 five oz pours for $9. Worth the price. French Dip: Not great, not horrible. Au jus was too cold. Sweet Potato Fries: Soggy and cold, very disappointed. New York Steak Salad: Way overcooked, don't recommend. BBQ Chicken Pizza: Horrible. Soggy and way too sweet. Service was friendly and prompt.

Super impressed with the way they handle a crowd before a hockey game. I expected with it being the only restaurant in walking distance to be a huge wait for food and drinks, but they really impressed. Great beer and reasonable prices considering the location. Go Red Wings!

I went there again, after my wife reminded me that the last time we ate there I said I would not go back. I had a business lunch there, and my iced tea came with a moldy lemon. I wonder how long it had been since the lemons had been cleaned out? Then I ordered the Ahi salad, and it was very fishy. I burped up fish for the rest of the day. I will only go back to drink their beer.

I went to a group event in a room of JT Schmid's and ordered 2 top shelf margaritas which I drank over 3 hours with food. I was not done with the 2nd one and after we finished dancing and came back to the table, my drink was cleared off the table. I told the waitress. I told her I did not need a whole one but she had the bartender make me another whole one. I drank only 2 sips of it. I felt completely fine before. Within 10 minutes my head was funny and I went outside. I progressively got worse and threw up 4 times. I was so high and nauseous. I do not ever do drugs. I drink socially but never have more than 3 ever. I checked my heartrate because I have a heart condition and my heartrate flunctuated from 105 to 80 and back and forth within the same measurement. It has never done that. I almost called 911 and retrospectively I should have. The ER could have tested me. I was even nauseous all of the next day. I do not believe I had a reaction to the alcohol in the 2 drinks because I was more intoxicated than 2 shots and I did not get a headache. I was amongst friends and there were very few people left at the party. I am posting this review in case someone else has the experience and management investigates and finds out they have a problem.

Just tried this today for lunch. The place was pretty empty so there was no wait. The set up of the restaurant is perfect for pre game or post game, tv screens almost everywhere. The service is pretty good, our drink were always filled and the food came quickly. I had the Chilean sea bass, with pineapple mango sauce and sweet. It was pretty bland and was not as flavor as you would think. We went with a fairly large group and everyone tried something different and all around everyone said the food was ok, but not really great. Its seems like a pretty good place but so so food for high prices just sounds like a bad deal.

My mother and I were at the Honda Center for a concert. We decided to eat here because it was the closest place to the venue. The wait was long and the place was crowded. I had the Walnut and Pear Salad to start. It was decent. The Angel Hair pasta was mediocre and extremely salty. Once I got to the bottom of the sauce all I could taste was salt. The garlic bread was salty as well. The food is not worth the price or the wait. I guess you have to order a sandwich or burger with some beer to like this place. It's not the worst food I've ever had, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at this place.

Hadn't been to this restaurant for a good number of years and last night was a reminder as to why. I will most likely never go back. While I get that the location gives rise to large crowds on game days, the restaurant was completely understaffed to the point that you felt sorry for the entire staff. From the hostesses, bartenders and servers not one stood a chance of making customers happy. The outside bar was utter chaos, 3 times the bartenders served their "friends" behind us without ever acknowledging us being at least 5 persons in front of them at the bar. After 30 minutes we finally got a drink. Our "40" minute wait for our table was actually an hour and 15 minutes at which time we sat for another 10 minutes without being acknowledged. We immediately put our food order in only to wait one hour for it to be delivered. While the food was ok, the obvious lack of management will keep us from ever going back.

After a ducks hockey game, my family and I decided to come here for a post game meal. I would love to give this place an actual review but I can't because the service was absolutely awful. We sat down and got some waters to start. We looked at the menu to decide what we all wanted and waited for our waitress to come take our order. We waited. Waited some more. And waited some more. Our server was awful. She would walk by and didn't even ask us for our drink order or anything. I've never walked out of a restaurant before in my life, but I guess there is a first time for everything. We decided to walk out and leave because our time was better spent sitting in a car driving home than to wait for a server to actually take our order. I've worked in the service industry before and decided to let the hostesses know that we were very unhappy. As soon as I mentioned that we were from San Diego, the hostess said to not come back. I don't know what kind of training and customer service skills they teach at JT Schmid's but they need some refining. This place gets two stars just because the atmosphere was cool.

I can not say enough about the owner, Jason Schmid. He takes a vested interest in his restaurants and the clients they serve. He was attentive to the issues I had experienced previously and made every attempt to correct them. I applaud him for his efforts and wish every restaurateur was this contentious! I went back during another busy night, the Van Halen concert. I wanted to simulate the exact type of situation I had encountered before. As I expected on such a busy night, I waited an hour for a table for two. But was pleasantly surprised by how quick the service was. Our server was attentive and food came from the kitchen quickly. I was once again disappointed by the first presentation of my filet mignon, but it was quickly corrected and came out the second time perfectly. Their mashed potatoes are a bit to "peppered" for my taste, but their mac n' beer cheese with chicken in it, is to die for. Speaking of culinary "petite mort", their chocolate cake was simply amazing and enough to share!

Hostesses werent very welcoming... I had to greet them, but our server was great! She was very friendly and took care of us. The food was tastey and fresh, took awhile but when it finally came out it was great. With all the construction there now its not worth trying to get in, but I would defiantly go back once that's all over. The place is very pretty inside.

We came here before an Angels game, since we thought that any restaurants really close to the stadium would be packed. Here there weren't too many people, we had a table of 6. They have an "Event Menu" when there is a game or something, only, the main items. I had the 12 ounces burger, which is good and huge. They have an even "huger" burger that's 20 bucks, didn't try that one. Other had the Jalapeno Mac n Cheese, which was good, got to taste some. They only have complementary parking (I believe this is only on game days) but you still have to tip them. If you want to leave the car there for the event and carpool to the stadium or go across the street to Honda Center it's $20.

First time customers we sat in the bar area and ordered lunch, our server who also was the bartender was rude, not friendly & not attentive. When I asked her for something she yelled across to me to wait! I was shocked!! I had to get her attention to get a glass of water as she barely came around to see if we needed anything, and the bar area wasn't even busy then. This is the first time that I never left a tip but she didn't deserve it! The burger was big but tasteless.

Very few vegetarian options. Overpriced. My stomach felt a little funky after eating the nachos. Something made my mouth feel like I just chewed on a rubber balloon. Although the strips were bomb--homemade. Check came way after we were done, and the waitress dropped it off saying, "Take your time." --whatever that means. Anyone know what that means?

  • Meagan G.

I'm not sure if it was the food or the beer, but my stomach was not a huge fan of this place. Pricey in an attempt to be a steakhouse, but combined with a brewery/bar food. If you're stuck after visiting the Honda Center, I guess go there for a drink, just be prepared to pay through the nose and deal with the crowd.

I don't know how I could have forgotten to review JT Schmidt's..... momentary lapse! I like JT's as an everyday kind of place. Prices are better than expected for the OC and service is usually very good. Food is great.... try the Shrimp Louie Salad or the tacos! The husband loves the burgers. I won't recommend the calamari here though. I had it once a while back and it was like eating rubber bands. I am going to guess that this isn't always the case, though, since many people have raved about it. Microbrews are very good and prices are not bad at all! Luv it. Beer, Food, Service, TVs everywhere....... this place has the makings of a great afternoon. Loses one star for lack of parking. If there is an event at the Honda Center (aka The Pond) don't even try to get in. No parking, no seating available, loud, obnoxious out-of-towners.... just basically a nightmare. JT's is currently going through a remodel of their patio. By the looks of it, their patio is going to be larger and more inviting than it already is. Looking forward to it

I always feel at home at JT's in the Tustin District. We eat and drink there weekly for business or personally when we're in the area. The ability to grab a table in the bar as a walk-in is awesome, and they always give the best service. It's an easy night out having the car valet'd that's steps away from the entrance, a great happy hour that's actually fun, and a movie. JT Schmid's is one of our top ten happy hours and lunch places!

  • Natalie A.

I love JT Schmid's. It is the perfect local bar/restaurant to visit for a tasty, well-prepared meal or drink. My fiance and I always sit at the bar, we find we get the best service there. My martinis are always FULL (Isn't it annoying when you order a vodka martini and the glass comes half full? Come on! I know you are charging me a 300% mark up on the liquor cost, how about you fill up my $12 martini?), cold and delicious. My better half orders the beer and he likes it. They don't seem to carry many of the popular Belgians or Imperial Stouts that I like, so I stick to martinis. I always order the Jerk Shrimp dinner, it is a little pricey for their menu, but worth every penny. You get about 20-25 medium sized shrimp, rice, a tasty salsa and veggies. I always end up mixing the whole plate together and eating WAY TOO MUCH! The jerk sauce is delicious, sweet and spicy. If you are worried at all about the cost, split it; it is more than enough food for two! We avoid this place during concerts or games, because it's just too crowded and crazy.

The food is okay and fairly-priced. The beer is good too. I appreciated the fact that they took food orders until 11:00pm on a Fri. I was having trouble in finding a decent place that served a decent beer selection. Nothing memorable but good enough for date night.

Fish and chips are not very inspiring or tasty. Service was okay for a light Friday night but a lot more could be expected. This is probably my sixth time here I've been here and if not for the convenience to the hotel I stay at, I wouldn't visit again. So much promise, so little received. As a follow-up, I appreciate the feedback and input from the owner of JT Schmid's regarding my review. While I didn't have a pleasant experience, he has stepped up and offered the insight of a new menu and better customer service. Best wishes on the follow-through and I'll give it another shot.

Came here for the Namm Bass Jam in the private room and stayed afterwards to eat. We had appetizers and drinks. Atmosphere very loud, and had to yell our conversation, but it was Friday night at ten oclock so that should be expected. I got the nachos with chicken. Huge portion and good for the price paid... You dont really need to add meat to it as it comes with a meat chili on it with all the fixins. Food came pretty fast, service was good, would return when in town.

Our go to place for some beers before hitting the Ducks game. Haven't eaten at this place yet, but have hit the bar before a few games. Convenient and decent beer selection. Good atmosphere for a good start before some hockey. Yesterday had the Extra Stout - well made brew, and for me better than most I've had of this style. We will return.

I would have gave this place 3-4 stars but the service and the food was terrible. My family and I were going to the circus at the honda center so we wanted to eat somewhere close. We went this place. very nice looking place. the place is huge. the waiter we had was nice but when i came down to ordering omg not good. :( They messed up our order 3 times! My mom had a hamburger with no onions and mayo and had jack cheese. She had to send it back twice because it had no jack cheese but had everything else she didnt like. I had a hamburger sliders with onion rings but i had to send it back cause they put fries instead of onion rings. My dad had the fish and chips. He said it was average tasting didnt really have any flavor. So even though we sent our food back 3 times they didnt take off anything on our final bill well sorry guys not coming back here again. :(

First time was way better than the second time I've came here. Service isn't all that great and the food isn't the same. Ordered a Tuna melt the first time and it was "Amazing", the second time was bad enough to not make me not want to come back. Plus the service could be better. Won't be coming back here anytime soon.

Quick & Dirty: Food is tops, Service is Good, Location is easy. Long & Tasty: I had my first JT Schmid's experience a few weeks ago after walking out of "The Catch" over by Angel Stadium because of their inability to greet/serve us for over 20 minutes. Their loss is my gain because we went down the street and saw that place called JT Schmid's across from the Honda Center. You know, it's that restaurant that you always see but have never been in. Well, I finally went in. First off, I love the atmosphere of this place. Tons of TV's (and big screens), HUGE patio, elegant yet relaxed dining room and bar, great food, and nice service. In my mind, all those things add up to a 5 star experience. Have that same experience on two different occasions and there you have a 5 star review! The Food here is basic American food with a lot of it being bar-esque, but don't let that fool you because this bar food is done well, and is fantastic. I don't need "fusion" foods and plates that have things "infused" in them. JT's takes a lot of your staple items in a sports bar and perfects them. I have yet (be it I've only been here twice so far) to taste anything from this place that I didn't like. The burgers are awesome, the Nachos were made with freshly made tortilla chips (nice!), the Mahi Tacos were some of the best Tacos I've had in a long time (seriously), and their beer is pretty tasty too! The service I've had here has been good so far. I haven't had any major concerns so far, so lets keep our fingers crossed! I'm not sure why this place hasn't received better reviews because I love it. Then again, for those who don't like it, I guess that's good for me! Again, your loss is my gain! Cheers! Sam

Serendipity: an unexpected but fortunate/beneficial discovery So dear Yelpers, what's the opposite of serendipity? Getting a gift card to a place that was, how do I put it, below par. I was given a gift card by a friend/coworker who thinks highly of this place. Went here with a friend to treat him. Boy, were we in for a treat. You know how good things start out good and can then go downhill? Well, ours started out on low ground and went downhill further. Is that even possible? Let's start, shall we? 1) The hostess was obviously not having a good day. Her greeting and demeanor was as if we came to her place of work to hassle her. There was no smile on her face, the tone of her voice was more dull than a gay bar on Tuesday afternoon. To top it all off, we weren't the last of her victims. Her demeanor marred the dining experience of the next 3 parties that she had the misfortune of seating. 2) While this hostess was seating us, we heard the waiter grumble at her, "I'm not seating anyone in my station right now." Now, I have no problems with that, but this conversation they were having was no less that 5 feet from us, and WITHIN earshot. We were RIGHT THERE. My friend and I felt really unwanted now, if that hostess didn't do a good job of that already when we came in. Merits: a) the food was decent. Not the best, but it's good. b) the service was good, even if it was that same waiter that grumbled of not wanting us on his table. c) the manager, who I said my woeful tale to, was sympathetic, respectful and understanding of the whole sad episode that was our sad dining experience here. He told me to let him know when I come back and he'll "take care of us." All's well that ends well, right? Uhm, no. The woe continued past that. I ordered something for takeaways in the form of a French dip for my mother. She's never had one before, so I told her that the highlight of the French dip was the au jus, or the beef juice that you dip the sandwich it came with. The thing is, the au jus was the very thing that was MISSING from the food. I called the place back to express my utter distate for the whole misadventure that was my dining and takeaways experience. The manager was very apologetic and didn't know where to begin to make it up to me (and my friend). I was just ... I just wanted the night to be over. I told him I'd let him know I'm at his restaurant so he can do something for me to make it up to me. Why I didn't give a one star review: See merits, esp the manager's handling of the matter. Why I DID give 2 stars despite the merits: Like I said before, service over food any day of the week. I would rather go back to a place with okay food and great service, than a place with good food and lacking service. So Yelpers, would you give this place a second chance? I would, but only if I got another gift card.

I always see this place when I drive down Katella so I thought I would check it out. The place was not crowded at all which was nice since we had great seats to watch the Laker's game. I ordered the jalapeño mac and cheese, and was not impressed with it. There wasn't much flavor to it. Not sure how you could get mac and cheese wrong since all it includes is just mac and cheese. I also thought the prices were too expensive. The only thing that was good was the beer, but other than that I probably wouldn't come back.

Angels, Ducks, BEER! This local brew house is very conveniently located in the heart of Anaheim, near Disneyland, the Honda Center, and of course, Angels Stadium. JT Schmid's offers an excellent sports environment featuring an array of flat screen t.v.'s, a full bar, patio seating, and on site brewing. THE BEER Freshly brewed in house this sports bar offers five house drafts (Blonde, Hefeweizen, India pale ale, Amber, and Stout) and one rotating seasonal. Their beers are served in either 16oz or 22oz pours as well as flights.Needless to say the best way to select which sudsy beverage you would like to sip on would be to select the six flight sampler for about $8. Out of the five house drafts it seemed that the Hefeweizen stood out mildly above the other mediocre brews. The House Hef immediately hits you forward with a sweet taste of banana resonating with an aft taste of hops and malts, placing this beer on the better side of Belgium. The jewel of this sampler however was their rotating seasonal which was described as a Trappist, but as any beer guru would know it is actually considered an abbey. Never the less this beer was excellent. It hit you forward with the sweet taste of bananas leaving an aft taste of velvety yet crisp toffee and hazel nut. Now with every great beer must come a great plate of food. THE FOOD looking at the menu you may thing, "This is just like any other brew house." and for the most part you would be correct. However In this vast menu there are a few hidden jems and they all rhyme with urger! All the way from their vegetarian patty to their sirloin patty's, the burgers are the way to go. The meat is fresh, thick and cooked to your liking; the lettuce crisp and mouth watering; the bun is plump and soft; and the sauces to die for. Now with your burger selection you get a choice of regular fries, or sweet potato. This is crucial, you MUST order the sweet potato fries. These fries are unlike any other sweet potato fries you have ever had this i can guarantee. Now what would a brew house be with out a happy hour. HAPPY HOUR the happy hour at this location isn't at all what you would expect. It begins Monday though Friday from 3-6pm offering items from the menu starting at $3 and escalating to $8, with house beers for $4.25, wells, $4.25, wine for $5 and so on. The one neat thing about this locations is that during and after all angels home games the happy hour menu is alive and kicking. GO ANGELS! All and all JT Schmid's is a great place to watch the game, grab a bite to eat with friends, or even just to stop in for a tall glass of beer. This critic will be returning thirsty, and hungry!

We decided to come here before the game. Parked our car in the stadium and walked back here. It's located near an empty building so walking around the corner, we weren't expecting a restaurant to be there. Our waiter, Adam, was very fast and got our beers right away. he was a great waiter and was very attentive. We took our time ordering our food, but once we ordered our food, it was good. We had the buffalo wings for an appetizer and the Five cheese pizza was ok. The Cabo Wabo girls were there and gave us free shots (didn't taste so great). Decent place. Love their concept and think their service is great, but the food isn't so great.

Nice waiters. Boyfriend asked for a medium cooked steak and came back overlooked. Got a new steak for to-go and while he was chewing pulled out the longest piece of hair. The French dip was mediocre. The nachos were good but really salty. All in all, it's two stars.

Went here several times for lunch, happy hour and dinner. Food is average they are trying to have healthier things on the menu once in a while, like the tuna tartar appetizer, however the quality is average. Service is pretty good, drinks are fine as well. Good for hanging out after hours.

We came here on a quiet weekday night - no sporting events were going on nearby at Angel Stadium or Honda Center. But here at the bar a crowd was watching the Angels play an away game. We decided on a quiet atmosphere for dinner so we sat out on the patio on this warm evening. I sipped a lemonade with a perfect blend of sweet and sour as we ordered; I got the fish and chips and my wife got the Mexico City Burger. I also ordered a house salad with bleu cheese. The salad was excellent with plenty of crumbled cheese on top of the fresh greens. The fish and chips were okay. The beer batter coating was delicious but tended to fall off the fish. The cod, while good, didn't have that tender "fresh off the boat" taste that you hope for. A side of sweet corn mayo was great to dip my fries into. I ended up eating half my wife's burger. These guys know how to make a burger. Incredible! This one had jack cheese, guacamole, cilantro, roasted salsa, lettuce and tomato. It had a nice spicy kick to it. The Angus burger patty was juicy and full of flavor. I can't emphasize enough that you won't go wrong if you order a burger here. Our server was nice and did a good job. The fish and chips I'd give 3 stars and the burger a full 5.

I do not even know where to begin with this review. I guess the first red flag for us should have been the man waiting before us complaining because he was not acknowledged for a good ten minutes. Well, the same went for our group. My family and another came into JT Schmid's after the circus at the Honda Center. We told the 2 hostesses and what appeared to be a manager our party size and they proceeded to quietly talk amongst each other and stand there without even letting us know what was going on for at least 5 minutes. We had to then go up to them again to ask if they were even working on a table for us. Once we were finally seated a waitress eventually took our drink order. The restaurant was pretty slow with only a few tables of patrons and several staff waiting around. Drinks took a ridiculous amount of time. Once we received our buffalo wings as an appetizer not only were they cold but they also were just dropped on our table with no individual plates for anyone eating them. It took asking two times to even receive small plates and once they came we were 90% done with the wings. Entrees came and were mediocre. The waitress never came to check on how things were, to refill any drinks or to even offer boxes for the kids meals. I have not been to a restaurant in a long time that offered such poor service. There was absolutely no excuse for it. As both mine and my friend's husbands signed our bill (we split it onto two cards) they both tipped 10% (something we NEVER do) and wrote on the receipt "poor service :( " so that the waitress could at least see her service is what caused us to tip so low. The very next day my husband's credit card company called to alert him that his card number was attempted to be used out of state for all different charges. Coincidentally, my friend's husband's card also was charged hundreds in fraudulent charges. WHAT ARE THE ODDS?! Not only does this restaurant employ awful staff members but criminals as well. We will NEVER recommend to anyone to go here. Convenient to the Honda Center, yes....but do yourself and your $$ a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Stopped here on my way home from the track and it might have been a better idea had we stopped at In & Out instead. While it looked good, my burger was undercooked and cold. And the fries tasted old/stale, and they were cold also. Service was a bit lacking especially considering how slow it was. Um, my iced tea was good, haha and the place had a nice atmosphere but I'd pass if in the area again.

The Chilean sea bass with saute spinach was really excellent, but the rice and watery sauce were really not good. So, I knocked down 1 star. The fish was so light and ummm...like butter! I would suggest to just serve the fish on a bed of spinach and chuck the rice :) The chicken and avocado egg rolls were really yummy as well. Not oily at all. Very fresh! The bbq chicken was ok. Not a traditional bbq sauce, more like tomato sauce. This dish was not as good as the other two above.

Their truffle fries are sent from heaven. I ordered a cup of Ale & Cheese soup, and with the fries, it was a gal's best friend. Fun spot on event evenings... The fung shui here is way better than the Tustin location.

I'm giving this 2 stars because the food wasn't bad. However, the service was AWFUL! There were 4 adults, 2 kids and a baby in our party. We waited a long, long time to order drinks. When someone finally came, another person was right on her tail to ask what we would like to drink. "Thanks for finally noticing us." When the server came, she said she would take our order, went to another table before actually taking the order, and then came back to take it. We ordered an appetizer of boneless buffalo chicken. We got it. It was warm like it was sitting. But we never received plates. She said she would be back with them. Half way through the chicken, we asked two other people for plates. With only a few pieces of chicken left, we got our plates! Applause! Applause! All around. With one water empty, the server came and filled up two other people's water in our party, but not the one that was empty...really? We asked her for water yet again and she said she would bring some...never did. When our food came out, she named the dish, and held it up in the air and we had to reach for it to take it. No effort to set it down. No effort to give it to the person who ordered it. And she never came to ask us how everything was or if we needed anything. When she brought the bill, she asked if we wanted a box. That was the best she did while we were there! Had It been busy, I would give her the benefit of the doubt. The restaurant was dead! Maybe a handful of tables with plenty of servers and bussers. I think they were expecting a crowd because there were even three hostesses. We left her a 10% tip. She's lucky she even got that. As we left, not one of the three hostesses said bye or stopped their personal conversation. I did my due diligence by telling the three of them bye and letting them know that the service was awful. Will they care? Doubtful. Oh well. I'll go somewhere else next time.

Being we live nearby we thought we'd give this place a try. We were not really impressed. Food was very so so. Nothing to brag about. About as good as Denny's. Not that that's all bad. I love Denny's but for the prices here I expected a bit more. After our food arrived I had to go track down our waitress and ask if we could also have some silverware with our meal. I'd eat here again if someone else was paying. But if I was going to recommend a place or spend my money there are lot's of other nice restaurants in the area with better food for the price.

Great French Dip sandwich and a really fine Imperial Ale. The Ahi Poke appetizer was delicious along with really crispy sweet potato fries.

The only thing this place has going for it is its location. If this place had any decent competition in the vicinity I think they would struggle. My experience started when I ordered a vodka cranberry that was delivered to my table in the form of a glass of cranberry juice. When brought to the attention of our waitress she totally questioned me, I told her to taste it. She did say she wood replace it, left to go get it, returned to our table and asked for the glass of cranberry juice because the bartender did not believe her. She then brought the correct drink order. What a struggle, but not done yet. Our party of four ordered our meal, three of the four meals came. Unfortunately after close to a half an hour the fourth meal which was a chicken salad had yet to come, and the other people in my party were almost done with their meals. Would have asked that waitress sooner but she was nowhere to be found. Finally canceled the chicken salad and asked for our check.

Been here twice so far and it's a pretty standard American restaurant like BJ's but I think I'd choose this place over BJ's Brewery. Food: Sweet potato fries (3 stars): I'm not a fan of sweet potato fries, but my family seemed to like them. They tasted like all the other sweet potato fries I've tried. Chicken tortilla soup (3.5 stars): Lots of cheese! Good broth. Mushroom Flat Bread and Margarita Flat Bread (3.5 stars): They have good flat breads. They aren't that big so definitely order more if you have a big appetite. Chicken Quesadilla (3 stars): The love loading the cheese on. Not too greasy. Blackened Chicken Sandwich (3.5 stars): Chicken was juicy and sandwich was flavorful. Portobello Burger (1 star): This was really mushy. Didn't taste like much. I let the waitress know and she happily took it back and let me order something else (= Service was great. It's really not busy at all when there are no games or events going on.

I meant to at least update this. The owner was very kind in contacting me after my bad experience. He sent me a note to give them one more shot, and I haven't gotten around to going back to the area, since I haven't gone to a concert here in a while. I thought it was very kind of him to reach out to a customer that wasn't satisfied with their meal, so for now I will up the grade until I can go back and give another review of an actual experience. As far as customer service goes, 5 stars, but I can't rate anything else on actual experience yet.

There is a reason this place has HORRIBLE reviews. If I could- I wouldn't even give it one star. Our whole tables' meal was disgusting. I will NEVER go back here. Ordered: -Ahi tuna taco's= found a LONG PIECE OF HAIR in the Ahi. That wasn't even the worst part! The tuna was like a grayish color -BBQ Chicken salad= my chicken was frozen chicken and the onion strings were cold and soggy -Boneless buffalo wings= how do you mess this up??? Well they did- also cold, tasted frozen and a little stale. -Turkey burger= GROSS -Sweet potato fries= STALE, COLD and soggy. THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT. Go to Mcdonalds down the street and I guarantee your meal will be better. Still get grossed out when I think about that horrendous meal....

Food was super average. The service is average as well. Sat in the "seat yourself" area of the patio near the bar last night after a long conference day. It wasn't crowded at all and I saw at least two servers so I thought this would be a better option than the restaurant inside. Nope. It took forever to get menus. The waiter never really checked in. I asked the runner who brought us our food if we could get silverware and napkins and he said "I'll let your server know." Excuse me... I have worked in many restaurants. You've brought me food so get the freaking setups! So we wait and wait, I can see our server across the patio running drinks so finally I just go to the bartender to get utensils. That experience plus being paired with just average food (my bbq chicken sandwich was soggy and the bread fell apart) makes this restaurant and emergency stop only for me. Oh and the hostesses were not very welcoming or friendly. I asked one where the bathroom was and without ANY eye contact she says it's behind the wall. Be courteous. One plus side! There was a live band near one side of the patio and the jazz flute reminded me of Ron Burgundy.

This place was off the hook for the NCAA game ASU vs Wisconsin. It was a sea of red! A great party atmosphere ! The outdoor bar area is cool hangout. Great location pre-event at Honda Center or Angel stadium. Restaurant and bar area have tvs for sports. You must check it out.

Everytime I have eaten at this establishment the service and the food have been excellent. Recently, I enjoyed the NY Steak sandwich and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was not so well done so as to become flavorless, and they add roasted peppers to this sandwich, turning this ordinarily "just a beef sandwich" into a plethera of delights for even the most ordinary palate. They have a large variety of plates to choose from....certainly something for every eater. And everytime I have been there for a business lunch...we were served courteously and in such a manner as to allow for "business" to be concluded.

I have been to this JT Schmids many times over the years, during events, and normal days as well. The service is usually very good on nonevent days/nights, and the food is always decent to good. I received a message from someone (forgot his name) several months ago. He identified himself as a new manager, and he wished to make amends from my less than stellar visit that I gave a 1 star review of. He also sent me a $25 gift card to encourage my return. I finally took him up on it, and arrived around 6:30 on a Sunday night to a mostly empty restaurant. Immediately greeted by a comely young lass at the hostess station, and headed to the bar. I was even more enthusiastically greeted by bartender Dianni. This young lady is 5 stars all the way. What a turn around from that shrew from last time. I was already bumping this visit to a 4 star minimum even before I cashed in my freebie gift card. I decided to go all out with my windfall and dared to order their filet mignon. Not sure if I would have done so at a place like this if it was on my own dime. Well I'll be damned, a nice portion, grilled to a perfect medium rare and properly seasoned. Dianni also did a nice pour of Gnarly Head Zin that went very well with my filet. I am one of the most guilty people I know that gives up on dining places too quickly after a bad experience. This should remind my bitchy side to give more restaurants that ol' proverbial second chance. Thanks Dianni and manager guy. I will be back and bring my own dimes next time.

Let my start by saying - Go Kings! There were not enough vegetarian options here, at least not during the "event" menu (dumb Ducks games). We got here about 2 hours before the puck dropped, and had to wait about 40 minutes for a table for 4. So - get here super early if you want to grab a bite before the game. The house beers were all right, I tried the pale ale and it was decent. I also had the pear and gorgonzola salad, which was good but overpriced. The artichoke spinach dip was also good, but overpriced. The margherita pizza looked gross, and got bad reviews. Service, however, was great, especially for how busy they were. I told our server we were in a bit of a rush, and she got all the food and the check out asap. Get more vegetarian options and lower the prices.

Prime location being practically the only restaurant within walking distance of the Honda Center. You can tell this wasn't their first stadium crowd as they handled it nicely. The staff was fast and nice. The interior was set up great to handle the large amount of people with everyone no squished together. The food was B+ and the drinks were a B. If I go to another Red Wings game at the Honda Center, I'd stop by JT's for a bite before.

This is my favorite watering hole, so I may be biased. If you like crafted beer, a full bar, a great patio, next to Honda Center & Angel Stadium, then look no further. Jason, Johnny, Jasmine, & Lisa are great bartenders. But remember, you get what you pay for, so tip!. The food is good, especially the back ribs. Excellent APS, with the best wings in North OC. Much better food than the Kilt & a better vibe than Hooters. Check for events at Honda or the stadium & arrive early.

We've given this restaurant the benefit of the doubt over the years because of their great location in spite of the poor service we consistently receive. Our last experience was the worst and will be our last. We accidentally left a pair of sunglasses on our table. We remembered as we drove away and turned around to retrieve them. The staff claimed they never saw the glasses and had no interest in helping us. Because of the timing and lack of patrons on the restaurant at the time, we are quite certain the sunglasses were stolen from one of the employees. In previous trips to the restaurant, I've had issues regarding a reservation made through opentable.com , being overcharged, and not getting an order right after a long wait... All minor stuff that I could look past. Dishonesty seems to be a bigger part of the culture at JT's than I realized. Watch your wallets, credit cards, and belongings. You've been warned.

It was guys night out and another UFC event that brought us to the area. Since our last visit was a complete disaster, we decided to give JT Schmid's a chance at redemption. Following my previous review, Jason messaged me and apologized for our experience. He kindly sent a gift card for the trouble but I never found an opportunity to use it and lost it. Bummer! After a brief sprint across ten lanes of traffic and maneuvering through construction fencing, we find ourselves being greeted and seated at the exact same table as our last visit. It was a full-house and busier than I expected with nearly every table seated with UFC fans. "I hope this is better than last time," my brother-in-law lamented. We all nodded in concurrent fashion as we glazed over the menu. After a few minutes our enthusiastic and friendly server enticed our thirst for cold beer...and water. How could we refuse? Having started the day with homebrew filled red solo cups, we really needed to get some food our bellies, and of course more beer. With so many options on the menu I had a hard time deciding before the drinks arrived at the table. Ahhh...umm....I'll have the BBQ chicken sandwich, please! Ok, I just pointed at the menu because I was hungry and didn't want to hold up the ordering process. I hate being that guy, but I am as indecisive as they come. My BBQ chicken sandwich was pretty amazing. I don't know what kind of bread roll they use, but it was amazingly soft and fresh. The pulled chicken was tender, not overcooked at all and complimented nicely by the fresh garnishments. That's one delicious and well put together sandwich! My brother-in-law ordered a The Cowboy Burger, which also came on the same roll. It was huge! He shared his compliments on the bread and had nothing but great things to say about it. Our buddy ordered the Jambalaya with pasta but it came out with rice by accident. He loved every bite and didn't even complain. Now that's a testament! Overall, we had an awesome return visit to JT Schmid's. Everyone deserves a second chance and I'm glad Jason put the effort forth to earn our return business. This will definitely be our go-to spot from now on! Great food and great service! Cheers!

With this restaurant being the only one in walking distance of our hotel after a long day of wandering around Disneyland it was an easy choice to make. Since it was already 8:45pm and the concert at the Honda Center still rocking and rolling we pretty much had the place to ourselves. My drink was a raspberry mojito and it was delicious. Just the right amount of mint and I was thrilled to see a ton of yummy raspberries muddled into it rather than having them just use a flavor syrup. I started with the cheese and ale soup (which tastes just like a thinner version of fondue! It made my inner fatty very happy. We split a bowl and that was plenty since it is extremely rich. Then we split a combo pizza. I thought it was good. Nice thin crust that still managed to be a little fluffy, but it wasn't something that I would go to the restaurant specifically in search of. The staff was friendly and on top of their game. Now this could have been because we were one of 4 tables that were being helped at the time, but it was good service just the same. Taste: definitely get their cheddar ale beer if you like cheese fondue!! Price: reasonable Ambiance: typical brewery type restaurant with the tv screens and sports playing in the background. but very clean Paleo/Gluten Free: you could make it happen... but then you would be missing out on the cheddar ale soup which in my opinion is why you should go to this place! Overall: If you are in the area it's worth your time, but I can't see myself making a trek out here to try it... except for the soup... have i mentioned how much i liked the soup? ;)

Our group of 4 ate here on Mon pm. Our server (Melissa) was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and their craft beer options. We started out on the patio for app (Truffle fries - YUM) and drinks and then moved inside for dinner. There was live music on the patio which was enjoyable as we waited for the rest of our group to show up. Changing tables was easily done and Melissa stayed our server. The portions were incredible, prices reasonable, and length of time to get our food was great (we didn't feel rushed or dragged out on any portion of meal - apps, sides, entrees). Our table had BBQ Chicken, the Jambalaya, and a Bacon/avocado burger plus truffle fries as an app, salads and cup of ale and cheese soup for sides, plus an add on of Jalapeno mac/cheese (because how can you pass that up?!). We enjoyed all our orders, and I wish I had more than just the cup-size of the soup!

What happened to this place, the food is not so good any more, and the beer has gone down hill as well. I used to love their wheat beer, but the last time I was there it was just plain horrible. Suggestion: go to Karl Strauss instead! Better food and the wheat beer is to die for at Strauss!

After reading the reviews. I thought this place would suck. Guess what? It didn't!!! Bryce, the bartender, was our waiter and bartender and was adorable and cool Fish and chips were good along with the lettuce wedge. My friend had a gift certificate and we are glad we came.

Met up with a colleague for drinks and dinner. There is a lot of construction going on, so you've been warned. It was empty when we go there, but by the time we left at 7:30PM it was fairly packed with people. And this is with no events going on. Had just appetizers and beer. Appetizers *Tacos: 2 tacos in the happy hour plate. Tasty. The salsa even had a kick to it. *Poke: Even for a a plate that is traditionally small, it was two "crisps" that had maybe 1 oz of tuna on each one. Also, poke would imply some kind of mixture. Wasn't too impressed. *Boneless Wings: Very tasty chicken with the right amount of sauce. Really liked these. *Fries: Had both the steak and sweet potato fries. Sweet potatoes fries were far and away the better fry. Steak fries were too greasy *Beer: I did have a pint of their Blonde, and it was good. If I'm in the area, I would most definitely come back to down a cold one and stuff my face with greasy food.

Went for my birthday and had some really delicious food! The bbq chicken quesadilla was very flavorful. The truffle fries however, were NOT very "truffle-y" as they tasted more like garlic than anything. The Seabass was amazing but i was a little disappointed it was seemingly fried/battered when i prefer my food non-lard-i-fied.Otherwise the service was decent and they brought me a free sundae :D Tip on the sundae- eat the cookie at the bottom first if possible, it gets frozen :P

As always, we find the best places when we are not looking for them and JT Schmid's proved to be a gem of a find! Atmosphere is beautiful inside; it is a really large restaurant with it's own microbrewery, outdoor dining with fire pits for cool nights and classy bathrooms. There is a full bar inside and you can see the chefs and cooks behind glass walls lit with neons overhead. We ate at JT's for 3 nights and most of the time everything was very tasty. I ordered the Jamaican Shrimp ($15.95) for the first night and the shrimp was salty as heck but everything else tasted great. The Sweet Potato Fries ($5.95) were excellent!! They had a sweet flavor with a hint of cinnamon. Hubby had the Buffalo Burger ($11.95) which he liked although it tasted a bit gamey (it was his first time trying Buffalo meat). Kid's pepperoni pizza was a generous size for $5.95 and the cheese on it was delicious. Fish and Chips ($15.95) was alright; nothing spectacular. Calamari appetizer ($9.95) was decent; Blackened Chicken Sandwich with Sweet Fries ($10.95) was pretty good. My husband enjoyed the India Pale Ale (large $6.40). The Brewhouse Tea ($8.00) was nothing out of the ordinary and not really worth the price. We also tried the Walnut Salad ($6.95) with generous amounts of candied walnuts and greens with a nice dressing. Angel Hair Pasta ($10.95) with fresh spinach, tomato, basil and garlic with two pieces of herbed bread. BBX Chix sandwich was the most impressive with towering fries ($10.95). Service was always excellent, even if we were the last customers leaving from the restaurant side (more people were at the bar and seated at the outdoor fire "pit"). Daily average cost of meals without beer/wine and without tip for two adults and one kid eating a kid's meal comes out to approx. $41.00. Next time we visit Anaheim, we'll be going back again and again.

Great spot before a Ducks game, or a concert at The Grove. If you like beer, they have plenty of options, several are their own brews, as JT Schmid's is a micro brewery, but mainstream. They have plenty of options for anyone looking for a mixed drink. I had their IPA beer which was plenty hoppy and very good (A). My wife had the chocolate martini, which was gooood, but strong. The location affords plenty of sports viewing options, television monitors are hung throughout. The food is also good, on this visit my group tried the tortilla soup (B), Salmon Thai Salad (A-), and a wedge salad (B+). Overall, no complaints on the food, nothing spectacular, but very good. As mentioned, this is a great starting point for an Angel game, Ducks game, or a concert at The Grove.

They have JT Schmid craft beer, its okay, I liked the Amber and my partner was okay with the IPA. We ordered the beer sampler and tried them all, I was perplexed when the seasonal was out so they served us a "black and tan" as a sampler? Who does that...? We had avocado chicken appetizer, it was good, it was only luke warm and that was a bummer. We ordered Chili and that was good, the spice was perfect, it would be a total buy again Ordered and shared the roast sandwich, it was good, I had some fatty meat pieces and that could be improved, our side of fries perfect! This dinner was generously sized when split Out of there for $65, two people

This is a really cool, large sports bar close to the Honda center and Angel's stadium. They have a great selection of house brews and a pretty decent appetizer menu on happy hour. There are two need to know things about this joint: 1- There is happy hour even on game day! 2- You can park for free and walk into the stadiums. I will definately be back next time I am in the area!

So i'll try to keep this nice and short: Great outdoor seating, service was good, food was decent- ordered the jalapeño mac n cheese: good amount, enough to be full but not stuffed. the drinks: get wine- huge pours for 7.50, basically 2 normal pours in one. Though the fire pit bar area seems nice to sit at, I would advise against it as I kept seeing a bunch of creepy crawlies going in and out of the rock formations, but nothing that is too worrisome i guess? Other than that, no other complaints, located near Honda Center so if you're looking for a good drink after an event, great place to go! :)

Loved loved loved this place! Came to grab some food and beer before heading to Angel Stadium -- the wait was about 15-20 min. Mind you, it was before an Angel/Red Sox game, so there was a crowd. We grabbed a beer in their patio area, and were opting to eat out there, when we got the text that our table was ready inside. I noticed they had calamari on the appetizers, and being a calamari addict I had to try it. The calamari was alright ... but the peppers part (calamari and peppers) threw it a little off. The plate mainly consisted of a mountain of lettuce and a TON of peppers and a few pieces of calamari. For the price, I was disappointed and expected a little more calamari. The marinara sauce that came with it was delicious! I ordered the Cowboy Burger (as did my BF). We substitued the cheese (for swiss and cheddar respectively) and got the fries with our burger. It was great!! Was only able to eat half, since it was a huge burger. I ordered my burger medium, and I have to say it wasn't the medium I wanted, but it was juicy. We will definitely be back before an Angel game!

Dropped in right before an Angels' game. Man, this place goes dead when the game starts and everyone leaves for the stadium. Anyway, my review is for the bar. You'd think folks who work the bar at a brew house would know how to pour a black and tan. Asian bartender literally poured the pale ale and then the stout 4 times. She literally mixed up the beer and it turned out looking like a brown ale as opposed to black and tan. It tasted like crap. I asked her why she didn't use a spoon to pour the stout so it would rest over the pale ale in the proper way and she just said their stout won't rest. Uh, what? Come again? Of course it won't if you are pouring it like a teenager does a big gulp. Just bad. Food was mediocre, beers bland, service even worse.

I've been here a couple times, first when it was PACKED, second when it was empty. If you go right before an event at Honda Center (GO DUCKS), it will obviously be slammed. They have built up an elaborate Winchester-Mystery-House-style series of additions that provide plenty of seating. It may look packed, but there are more seats in there, trust me. When it's crowded, the service is fine and the burger and beer are tasty. On to my second visit when the place is empty: they lose my burger order. Wait and wait, order a 2nd beer to pass the time, burger finally comes and it's amazing. Get the check AND THEY DON'T CHARGE ME FOR THE 2ND BEER. They know they effed up and pay me back in free booze. Fat tip for my server. I'll be back!!!

I have a hard time understanding why a restaurant would offer an item on their menu that they are completely unable and incompetent to prepare. That being said pizza is fairly easy to make correctly, which is why I asked and had confirmation from the bartender that they had an actual pizza oven. Someone, who runs the kitchen needs to learn how to use the pizza oven, b/c what they served me was limp and soggy. The toppings were ok quality, but was too heavy on the cheese and light on other toppings. Again, the main issue was that it was improperly cooked. If you are looking for a place to chill out with a beer and watch a game this is probably not a bad place. If you actually want to eat, based on the pizza I recommend going elsewhere. I would have been better off buying frozen pizza and heating it in the oven.

Charges $30 for handicapped parking . I think this is illegal. This really upset me. I do not have to pay a parking meter with my license plates and they charged me $30 to park in the handicapped spot here. NOT GOOD. There are several businesses around the restaurant with handicapped access parking and was told if I parked there for a game, even with my handicapped plates I would be towed. Seriously not ADA friendly businesses around the Honda Center. BOOOOOOO !!! They told us they opened at 9 am for the Blackhaws vs. Ducks game. We got there about 930 and the place was a ghost town. Then there was another issue when they opened, they could not serve you food or liquor until a certain time.. WTF? Why even bother to open? Ya this time not so happy with JT Schmid's and probably will opt for either a party bus nexttime the hawks play the ducks and skip this place.

Food: I came here to eat dinner with my friends who were in town for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland. They wanted me to try a beer with my name on it, Emil's Amber Ale. To go with the beer, I ordered their Cobb Salad. It was a pretty big salad, big enough that it felt like a never-ending salad! The salad was good as was the beer. I think I will have to try a sampler of their beers next time. Service: Service was pretty good. The place had just cleared out because there was an Angels game next door that evening. Less people usually means better service! We pretty much had two waitresses checking up on us. Location: It's located just off of the 57 freeway on Katella Ave in between the Honda Center and the Angel Stadium. I believe you can park in the Anaheim ARTIC Metrolink Station parking lot. If there's an Angels game next door, this place will probably be packed just before the game starts.

Yesterday, I had the Monte Cristo at JT Schmid's, and let me tell you one thing. It was the best Monte Cristo I have ever indulged in, and I've had my fair share of Monte Cristo's from various places, including the Cedar Creek Inn. The service at JT Schmid's was subpar, but it was alright for a lunch crowd (which was barely there). We had to ask for napkins and utensils because they did not provide it for us. Other than that, I would definitely come back to JT Schmid's for more of that delicious Monte Cristo.

Lunch fish tacos were a really huge portion and came with tons of avocado and chips on the side. One weird thing was that my normal straight-backed wooden chair leaned strangely. I changed it for another chair and that one did the same thing. Either someone is revolutionizing chair design over there or they need to take a look before someone breaks themselves.

Stopped here for some appetizers and a couple of drinks before heading over the Honda Center and I was quite impressed with the food and the super friendly waitress but the service was sooooo slow. I was pretty hesitant on coming by here before our show but the location is so extremely convienent and I thought heck...there is beer there...so, count me in! They have a nice size outdoor seating area with full bar and several televisions but the female bartender needs to friendlier or at least act like she is happy and is enjoying her job. No one likes to stay long with a bartender that isn't happy!! It was a Saturday afternoon, the place was quite empty and it still took a long and I mean a long time just to get out drinks. It took so long for the drinks that as soon as our drinks arrived a minute after that our appetizers were out. I can't blame the waitress but their bartenders are slow and the outside bartender was NOT friendly at all. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Poke, Seared Ahi Sashimi, Edamame and the HUGE Cowboy Burger. All the food was pretty tasty and the quality of the tuna was fresh. I am very particular with my the flavors and quality of Tuna and I was quite impressed. The portions were good size and we ended up not even attempting to eat the gigantic burger because we actually got full off of the appetizers. We actually saved the burger for the next day and it was still extremely tasty. So, as far as the food goes....we were pretty happy. Now let's get to the alcohol...I ordered their Strawbeeri Blonde which has strawberry vodka, strawberry puree, fresh lemon topped with JT's Blonde and garnished with a lemon wedge and a cherry. Let me pre-warn you...pass this drink up all together...YIKES! Big mistake. Wayyyyy too sweet and you don't even take the beer in it. All you taste is sweet strawberry puree and my glass was not even garnished like it states on their menu. We also go their Hefe and it was mediocre at best. I was more content getting Bud Light here then their overpriced handcrafted beers/drinks. Overall, the food was tasty, drinks sucked, prices were high but since it is right across the street from the Honda Center it was convenient . I would probably bet that is the only reason they are still in business. Just read the other reviews.

Large, spacious interior. Looks like a chain type of place. Set in stone boring beer styles with elaborate labels reminds me of the "microbreweries" of old before they became a big deal. Large menu with pizza, jambalaya, mac n cheese, Thai salad. A bit of a hodgepodge of everything under the sun, a pet-peeve of mine. Service was good. Sampler flight available of their beers. They were pretty much perfectly average with some disappointments. Nothing so bad. Prices high: meal cost was about $25 per person. Very high prices given the food quality and beer quality. You pay a premium to be here because it is across from the Honda Center.

Had drinks before an Angel game. Great beers they brew themselves. The IPA is very crisp and delicious. The blonde is refreshing and light. The food going by looked great so I will have I be back for that another time. But nonetheless, great beers! Also had the Cowboy burger with sweet potato fries. What a treat! Perfect medium rare and the blue cheese and large onion rings set the burger off beautifully.

Ok the manager contacted me about the parking issue and told me it had been corrected and was a misunderstanding with the people doing the parking lot and asked me to come back and try again. I apprecate that he would care enough to at least follow up. We went back again yesterday before the Angel v Yankee game. This time the parking was perfect in a nice new lot. Even better yet the food was great and the beer was cold. You have to try the garlic fries and beer sampler. We enjoyed everything and will go back again. Thank you for caring.... To top it off the Angels won..... What a great day.... Don

Bottom line at the top: The only reason you should eat here is if you're at the Honda Center. Really good about time control on event days and it's basically a smidge worse than BJs. -- We were quickly seated outside with space heaters and the staff was great with helping each other out. Came here before a concert and had the tomato basil pizza and the angel hair pasta which were both good and we got on with our lives. 3 stars for the food bumped up to 4 for excellent customer service. :)

I always wanted to visit this location because I heard it has a great atmosphere. It turns out it has an amazing patio, which appeared to be very popular. There are tables and chairs with tons of heaters if you need them, and a fire pit with a counter so you can sit and eat or just have some drinks. We were there recently and the patio was packed because there was a Ducks playoff game that night. On a whim, we purchase some tickets off stub hub on our smartphone, but they needed to be printed. The management was great and actually allowed us print them off in their office so we could go to the game! That was definitely above and beyond. The food was good and the service was great! Even though the restaurant was slammed, the servers were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!!!

It's not often I give a 1 star review. With that said... I went with a friend before and Angels game so we could grab a few drinks and appetizers. Their happy hour is just stupid, which would explain why they are never packed before games. They actually end their happy hour early on game days. ARE YOU KIDDING? Since we were already there we just decided to stay. We grabbed a seat on the patio, which was about half full. The sun was still beating down and when we asked our server to move the umbrella he just laughed at us. Um, okay. We ordered 2 beers and 2 appetizers to share - the tater tots and a pizza. Can't mess those up, right? Wrong! The tots came out like they had all exploded and then been smashed together (which our server once again laughed at and said "I've never seen them like that before"). The pizza tasted bland and worse than any frozen pizza I have ever made at home. Not impressed AT ALL! The guests were dwindling from the half full patio since the game was starting and it still took us flagging down TWO other servers to get our server to come over just to get more drinks. The first server just giggled and said they were really busy. Um, no. The second server took our drink order, so we thought we were covered...but she didn't actually place the order. Our actual server came over and said he would get us another round of drinks. The problem is he got us another round of beers instead of the drinks we ordered from the other girls. COME ON! It should not be that hard to order drinks. I should have trusted my gut and just gone to the bar. Even though this is the closest restaurant to the stadium, I would not go back. I would rather eat and drink in the stadium...even if it costs me more.

Well per the request of the owner/manager Jeff, we tried it out again. We were more satisfied this last time....however, I would still like to try the steak again. We were both in the mood for salad. We had the nachos and they were good, needed more cheese tho. Salads were good. Much better so I will go from a 0 star to a 3 star, and try it again to see if I will raise it even higher. Very quiet and no one there this time again. :/

We were a party of 10, on a slow Sunday afternoon just stopping in for some air conditioning, drinks and appetizers. We were seated promptly and brought out waters, but the attention paid to our table was extremely less than par. I had to fetch the waiter a couple of times for refills, orders and to-go boxes. The appetizers we had were very tasty; chicken wings (boneless) and chicken wraps. The bartender accidentally put sugar on the rim of a margarita on the rocks "with salt." Just a few things out of whack with the level of attention and attention to detail... Just A-OK in my book.

The happy hour is pretty good here. The food and drink specials are decently priced. We always get the chicken lettuce wraps. For $7.20, it's a great portion and I like that the chicken isn't completely macerated into tiny diced cubes. They cut the grilled chicken into long strips which make for easy wrapping with lettuce, tomatoes, bean sprouts, and shredded carrots. The two asian dipping sauces are ok. I definitely prefer the wasabi vinaigrette for its spicy kick, over the much too sweet chili sauce. This visit, we tried the killer steak tacos as well and their tortillas were soaked in grease. If they named these killer to refer to an imminent heart attack, they're spot on. I've had the ahi poke before. The fish quality is so-so at best, and the serving size isn't great for a price of $7.70. You'd definitely need more to eat even after finishing this yourself. You definitely get more bang for your buck with the lettuce wraps, if you're looking to fill yourself up. For $5.90, you get two per order. JT Schmid beers are $4.50 for a pint and $5.95 for 22 oz of tipsy fun. Their wells are $4.75 and the bartender of the day had a pleasant heavy hand while fixing my vodka soda up. The service was decent for a Wednesday afternoon, since the post-work rush hadn't come yet. My only complaint was the overbearing bathroom stench throughout the restaurant. I smelled it the minute I walked in and thought it had gone away after a few minutes; however, the whiffs would come and go throughout the meal. It wasn't exactly the happiest happy hour, but I still enjoyed winding down on my hump day.

Great service...great food selection. If you're going to an event at the Honda Center this is the BEST place you can go to eat before or have a drink afterwards. Plenty of parking in the rear of the restaurant. Loved it! I'll be back for sure!

Standard brewery type of place. It had your usual fare of steak, burgers, some fish and assorted fried appetizers. It was passable, not particularly amazing, not bad. Their pitcher for beers must be the smallest one I've ever seen at restaurant, it holds 2 beers. I call that a large beer, not a pitcher. Looking at the drink prices on their menu, their a bit inflated for what you get, but I guess its next to some sports venues so they can get away with it. hmm what else...The staff is generally pretty good looking. The outside dining / patio area looks inviting to have a drink out on a warm day. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if I was going to a game at the Honda Center or Angels Stadium, I'd consider it.

This is like a slower, more expensive BJ's. The hostess said exactly three words to us ("Here you go"). The waitress ignored is for almost ten minutes. When the food did come out it was decent; not inspired or even really worth the price. The only reason to go there is if you are going to the Honda center and need parking ($20). McDonald's down the street and one of the $5 lots will leave you feeling less taken advantage of.

Been here on game days and outside patio is awesome when you got an awesome waitress who wants to serve you and working for her tips. The minute you get a server who doesn't give a damn and blames everything on "because it's busy" shouldn't be working a high pace, large crowd, alot of drinks flowing, game day atmosphere. Food is average "bar food", a little over priced but decent. BEER, house Hef is excellent and ice cold....AMAZING. Mama order a lemon drop martini, tasted like lemon flavored kool-aid. In my opinion, if you order a drink $9-$11, I'm hoping to taste alchohol....RIGHT??? Sucks when you walk into a great place like Schmidts and pay $100 bar tab before going to the game and can't even feel a buzz.... C'MON Schimidts.....step it up a notch. Love the place but somethings gotta give.

Place is clean but poor service and very low quality food control. We were seated and provided no silverware when our food was served . . . And no server in sight. After waiting 3 mins I had to take silverware from another table across the restaurant. I ordered the Mahi tacos (1 star) . . . Fish dry and overcooked. Son had kids chicken and fries (4 stars). Wife had tuna ahi appatizer (3 stars) . . . Didn't taste too fresh. Not worth the money.

First, let me say that I have been to JT Schmid's in the past for a retirement party, sales meeting, etc., and always thought the food (although buffet style on those occasions) was quite acceptable. But as one in the wine and food business, was not impressed. On a recent visit with a party of four prior to a Duck's game, my opinion took a turn for the worst. Now I guess you have to take into consideration that in the hour prior to a Duck's game starting, that the restaurant is across the street from the venue, and that the restaurant is virtually full on a Sunday night, one might expect less than stellar service and quality. And indeed, that is what we got. Being very busy the server was very curt and disengaged when she came to the table asking if we would like appetizers. I turned to my daughter and asked if there was anything that she wanted and by the time I looked back toward the server she was gone. I guess no appetizers for us. At that point I would not have ordered them anyway. When she saw we were in a position to order both drinks and food the attitude miraculously changed. My Caesar salad was moderate in quality and not quite so the pizza with basil and tomatoes. Very limp crust that you could not pick up without the ingredients falling off, pallid tomatoes (not unusual for this time of the year), and an unremarkable cheese blend. I ate half and stopped. My wife's burger was described as coming to the table with the meat portion in half, as if it had fallen apart on the flat top. "No taste" was the verdict. We did not poll our daughter and her boyfriend as the tickets were Christmas gifts from him and we did not think it was productive to complain or ask them about what we perceived as poor quality. Since I paid for the dinner though, I reserve the right to complain to Yelp. So I have to ask myself, is it that they just can't keep up with the customer flow of orders with the staff they have on hand or do they simply feel they can "skate" (no pun intended) on quality given their unique circumstances? I don't know and won't have the opportunity to find out as this restaurant is off our list in the future. If you enjoy food, we urge you to look at alternatives in the area. There are many.

I went here to have lunch with my girlfriend and I have to say we are never coming back. The food was crap, I expected better. Especially after seeing a kitchen that size. We ordered the fried breaded calamari which was very hard and difficult to bite. I ordered the farmers burger which sounded good but lacked season and was very greasy, it was like biting into cardboard with grease. My girlfriend ordered the angel hair pasta which the presentation was nice but it crap. The pasta was watery and really lacked seasoning. It was like pasta straight out of boiling water and just through some tomato on top. I don't know how this place is still in business but I am definitely never coming back. I highly never recommend to ever come here. Don't waste your money nor your time. Trust me.

Let me just say this starting off....If management reads this review and all the negative ones they need to pay attention and realize they need to change some stuff. I'm one of those people who tells it like it is and is a straight shooter. If I am unhappy with regard to anything I have to say something. I've worked in retail, marketing, restaurant services, and now in HR. So my review has merit when I explain how last night 12/26/2014 was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever experienced. I know how J.T. Schmid's Restaurant & Brewery makes money---location and alcohol. Those are the only two reasons and biggest draws and obviously the food is clearly not a priority, and neither is customer service. I was attending the Fluffy show across the way at Honda Center. I've been to many concerts, hockey games, and comedy shows at Honda Center and I always wanted to try the food at J.T. Schmid's. The people that I know that have eaten there before, say the food is "ok," and they just go for the alcohol. My point exactly. Immediately walking up to the hostess booth, both girls had no smiles whatsoever and before asking my name they start off by saying "The wait is 35 minutes." Ok, clearly I knew there was a wait because there was a show going on. No name asked and I said my friend and I would find a seat outside. No big deal, especially since I arrived at 6:00 p.m. The waitress was medicore at best. She came within 10 minutes of us sitting. Which was good. Then it went downhill from there. My friend ordered the Mac and Cheese appetizer and I the Caesar salad as starters. We all ordered water and Coke. They came 35 minutes later. I remember it being 35 minutes later because I kept looking at my phone at the time to make sure we left in time for the 8:00 p.m. show. Oh, and we also ordered for our main entrees the Works pizza and The BBQ chicken pizza. Another 45 minutes later our food came. I asked three times for salt and pepper never came. Never refilled our drinks. The food was terrible. Here's why: BBQ chicken pizza- The chicken had no seasoning and looked like it had been just tossed on it. The whole pizza lacked taste even the BBQ sauce! That's why I wanted salt and pepper. Also, it was too soft and you can clearly see when you pick it up that it was not thoroughly cooked. My friend tried it and confirmed the pizza was gross. I didn't want to send it back because God knows how long that would take and I was already annoyed at the waitress. I ate one slice and put it to the side. The Works pizza- This was not actually that bad. Annalenda let me eat a slice and the pepperoni was good and the crust was edible. The sausage and mushroom served no purpose. Her's was less uncooked than mine. When the waitress came back we asked for refills, salt and pepper (3rd time) and the manager. She asked "If there was something wrong?" I said "yes, the food sucked and the service was lacking." I think she didn't think I would say that. Five minutes later the manager walks out and I tell him the issues and he agrees to comp our check. That was a nice gesture, but he didn't apologize. Didn't shake my hand or introduce himself or anything. Maybe they are used to getting complaints. He just listened to me and said "Ok, I'll take care of it." The table next to us apparently had similar issues because I could see them listening in when I was speaking to the manager and they were piggy backing onto what I was saying. Overall, the waitress had a terrible passive aggressive attitude and everyone that worked there looked like they hated life. So management at J.T. Schmid's Restaurant & Brewery I WILL NEVER ATTEND YOUR ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!! Clearly, there are better choices along Katella in both directions. Your waitress lost out a tip and your restaurant lost out on a $50 sale. And I'm normally a good tipper and even with food comped I didn't feel bad not leaving the server a tip. Even if the bill was comped, Analenda and I still would of not given her a tip.

I received a call from Mr. Schmid himself after my horrible experience. Not only was he appalled by the treatment I received by his employees, but he took the service to a new level. He refunded me and my son our valet money and included a gift card for a future visit. I can honestly say Mr. Schmid renewed my faith in small businesses and in doing the right thing. We will be going back soon. He showed he is about service and really cares about his customers. Thanks JT!

Since posting this review I have had several messages sent to me by the waitress who gave us extremely bad service. Instead of taking this review and learning from it she has taken it personal and insulted me. Yelp is used to review a restaurant. I visited this restaurant and she was my server therefore I reviewed her lack of service. If you take a moment you will see that there are many other poor reviews by other patrons who have visited this facility. I don't know if the other patrons have received similar harassing messages from their servers but this waitress has taken it too far. Do yourself a favor and do not visit this place unless you want poor service and then the servers harassing you two days after you left this horrendous establishment. I have never been so disgusted by any other establishment than I have by this place and this waitress.

We brought a large party here for an employee holiday dinner and we were planning to spend some cash. I've been here a couple times before and the food is fine. The Ale and Cheese soup is great, hence the extra star. Management needs to reevaluate their policy regarding Happy Hour and events. There are signs on all the tables promoting the fact that they have happy hour pricing, not just at the bar but throughout the restaurant. Then they say no happy hour during events. But if you go up to the bar during an "event", they will give you happy hour pricing. Then the waitresses at the tables say no, it's an event. What the hell? PS- the "event" was "Holidays on Ice" - isn't that a kids thing? Why should it affect a restaurant with a heavy bar/sports theme? I'm just saying.... Also, the place was empty with only one other large party besides us. Don't make your waitresses try to explain a confusing policy that doesn't make sense. They only get paid minimum wage and shouldn't have to risk their tips by being the bad guy. Here's some advice, a policy needs to be clear and consistent - easy to explain and understand. If multiple customers are having issues, maybe it's not the customers' fault (we're not stupid) maybe it's the policy.

I really like JT Schmids. JT is like an upgraded BJ's with a better atmosphere and menu I went with the wife and an 8 month old baby I just met 8 months ago as his dad. The waitress was pleasant and very accomodating to the demanding 8 month old guy that was with me that day

Stopped by before an Angels game, place was pretty dead, but mostly due to us getting there an hour before the rush. Food was good, our party of five all enjoyed our meals. Waiter seemed to be inconvenienced to have to do his job, and just gave off a really negative vibe.

After being recommended by the hotel I'm staying at, I called in to place an order for deliver (on our hotel menu they advertise as being able to do so.) The hostess who did not give me give name told me that they are too busy to deliver as it's opening night for the ducks. (This part I completely understand.) I then ask if I can place the order for pickup. I'm told that they are just too busy and not taking any to go orders.... (I just don't get it) What difference does it make if I'm sitting in your restaurant or sitting in my hotel room, the food takes the same time to cook, right? Just my two cents but you shouldn't turn business away, especially from a hotel that you partner with. Also, try not to be so rude.....

I have been here several times for professional meetings & always leave satisfied. The service is dead on whenever I'm there. The food is incredible-- I always clean my plate! If you are a beer drinker, their Heff is the best I have ever tried! The only complaint I have is the area. It's in a busy spot across from the Honda Center, with some construction going on. I always see people getting lost around the restaurant because parking is a little difficult to figure out the first time.

Not a great experience. My wife and I stopped here to grab an appetizer and a drink before the LA Kiss game. We were charged $20 to park for the game which seemed exorbitant, especially since we were patronizing the restaurant. I can understand wanting to make money from your parking lot. I'm a businessman too. However, give people going into the restaurant a $10 coupon or something! It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I'm paying $20 for parking and more money for overpriced food and drinks at your bar. Not to mention cold overpriced food. Our meal came out cold and the order was also wrong. We go to games at Angels Stadium and Honda Center all the time but we won't be returning to JT Schmid's. There are better places in the area for a pre-game meal and drink.

Bjs-like. Truffle fries were delicious. However, we had no utensils. We asked for utensils, plates and some ranch for the fries. When we did ask, we received cocktail napkins and some ranch. The ranch was so thin. I ordered the blackened mahi tacos. Fish was not blackened. It was grilled or broiled. No seasoning on the fish. Chips were served with the fish along with guac and tomatoes that were pico de gallo-ish. The restaurant was full of people, but I need food with flavor. I'm not Chef Robert Irvine, so I don't get to taste everything. Other items may taste better. Maybe service would be better. My server was ok, but I don't think you should have to ask for place settings and basic accompaniments for the fries.

They sent me an email offering a free birthday burger and when I called to order it the owner of the restaurant said that he could not honor it because I had 3 different accounts and had been receiving multiples of free food items when I have only eaten at this restaurant once with my company and that's when they gave us the reward cards with cash on it because of the amount of money spent at our company dinner, I have never received a free item from this restaurant but do pick up a burger for lunch about once a month which I most definitely PAY FOR. This used to be my go to place for a good juicy burger... very disappointed in how rude the owner was about not honoring the free birthday burger and accusing me of receiving multiple free items when I have NEVER received anything for free and spent over $500 there for our company dinner. Will make a note to advise my boss that next outing we should go else where.

Came here on Friday night with another couple to celebrate the husband's birthday. I admit I was not expecting too much, and I got about what I was expecting. This place is very large, tons of seating. I thought the outdoor patio was nice looking. They were dead when we arrived, and when we left, so seating was not an issue. Our waiter did a good job, checked on us enough, wasn't overbearing. The guys ordered beers and they were happy with them. My bloody mary was a little too watery for me and was really heavy on the pepper and celery flavors. I didn't finish it. We started with the Chips & Dip, house-made chips served with some sort of chipotle ranch (maybe, I am guessing as to what that was) and a bbq sauce. The chips were greasy and flavorless. No salt, no nothing. The ranch (?) dip was pretty flavorless as well. The bbq was okay, very sweet. I had a small Caesar salad before my meal, it was dressed well, but the dressing was really strong with anchovies. The croutons were too hard, couldn't even stab them with my fork. For dinner, both of the guys ordered the Farm House Burger. They liked it. I tried a bite of BF's and it was a pretty good burger. However it is a two patty burger, so it is massive, and they do not mention that on the menu. My French Dip sandwich was alright. The fries served with it were old, very crispy and not warm. I avoided those. The sandwich was okay though, the meat was juicy and had an ok flavor. The au jus and horseradish cream were pretty good. The bread held up well after being dipped in au jus, it did not fall apart. Our lady friend ordered a Blackened Chicken sandwich, that she said was delicious and promptly polished off. She was done eating before any of us! After dinner, the birthday boy alerted the waiter that it was his big day, so the waiter brought over a large beer mug filled with ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream, and four spoons for us to share. It was ice cream, nothing special. Would I come back? No, but I don't care for places like this. I wouldn't go to BJ's or TGI Friday's either, although I will say this place seemed nicer than those establishments. But if there was another night when somebody else asked us to meet them here, I would not bitch and moan, the food was okay, I can deal with it again. It just didn't make me a fan who is going to rush back over anytime soon.

Filet Mignon salad? Have you ever seen this much waste on filet Mignon? We sure haven't. Manager says chef cuts the meat here. Do not order the steak. Bad cuts, full price. Consider yourself warned.

My husband and I visited JT Schmid's after a movie on a Saturday afternoon. The place was fairly empty, though obviously gearing up for the rush that no doubt happens on Angel's Baseball days. We were seated promptly, our drink orders were taken and we were offered water. I ordered the Cowboy Burger which is a burger topped with blue cheese, onion rings, bacon and barbecue sauce served on a toasted brioche bun. My husband ordered the French Dip Sandwich, sliced prime roast beef topped with Swiss cheese on a french roll. We were both disappointed in our orders. My burger was salty, overcooked and really wasn't special enough to merit the price. The accompanying sweet potato fries were plentiful though bland. My husband's French Dip Sandwich was over-done, under-tasty, and inappropriately moist. The accompanying dipping sauce was warm water with a hint of "brown" and not a proper au jus. Although we were no thrilled with our meals, the service was very good. Our wait staff was friendly and efficient and our waters were refilled frequently.

Thai Steak Salad Good size portion for lunch, the greens were very fresh. Perhaps not a big fan on how they cut the steak. Would have rather the steak sliced. The dressing had good flavor and it was not too heavy. Overall a good entree salad.

This place is a great spot when watching the Ducks or the Angels. The food is great, I had the portobello mushroom burger that was fabulous. We sat outside on the patio by the outside bar, great spot but the black umbrellas for shade are terrible because they draw in the heat and it feels like there are heaters on when you sit under them at a table. That's a big negative when it's warm. Service was good though.

This is a really nice place to hang out at night for a drink or two. They have an huge outdoor patio with individual headlamp to keep you warm in a chilly night. In addition to the gas lamp they have a huge 10 foot fireplace with stools you can hangout at while having a drink. The food was decent but thumbs up for the atmosphere.

We visited here before the ducks game for food and drinks. Seems like a typical thing that people do to avoid massive traffic and parking headaches. Drinks are pretty good here. Their Beer Tails selection is quite refreshing. Those who got one liked their concoction. I had the Beerjito. Similar to a mojito but laced with beer of course. While I was skeptical of the combination, it came out quite well. Food on the hand was alright. Nothing stood out but it was definitely better than your typical american establishments. The prime rib burger that my friend ordered was pretty crazy. Meat was tender and full of flavors. We saw the $60 burger and considered it. Then we also considered our metabolism/cholesterol level and aborted that mission with quickness. I ordered a typical chicken nacho dish which tasted exactly as it sounds and expected. My friend ordered a Thai salad with steak chunks on top. Steak was tender and moist. Salad part, aside from the mangos making it Thai, nothing to brilliant. Overall, it was a good spot to meet up with friends for a bite before the game. Would I come back here? Maybe out of convenience since the Honda Center is across the street. Wouldn't mind being at the bar next time though.

JT Schmid's pours their own hand crafted beer they serve fried food which is excessively portioned. I recommend splitting your plate with your friends/bf. I ordered the Blackend Chicken Sandwich (chicken breast topped with melted cheddar cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and pickles. You have a choice of sweet potato fries or French fries...I ordered sweet potato fries :) It was delicious! If you're going for appetizers and beer I recommend Chicken Avocado Egg Rolls. The restaurant is dark and intimate, it's perfect for a date night or hanging out with your friends..it's also right across the street from the Honda Center so it's a perfect place to pregame in case you are going to an event. ;) Prices are fair and personnel are really friendly.

I'm here for a CE meeting and the service is amazing! I was in charge of checking in all of the doctors and the waitresses really took care of us, making sure we had our drinks and our food orders in. I was stationed in a corner and I could have easily been forgotten. I really appreciated the service and the streak was pretty good. It wasn't amazing, but 5 stars for the service and friendly staff :)

I haven't dined at this location in over 10 years so when I arrived an hour and a half early for a concert, I decided to give JT's a whirl again. The wait time was short and I received a text letting me know that my table was ready. So far, so good...or so I thought! I ordered fish and chips and asked for a second plate so that I could share my meal with my mom. Their servings are hefty and we weren't too hungry. The spare plate was dirty as can be with lettuce hanging off of the side of the plate! There were food particles stuck to the plate indicating that it had not been washed! I may wear glasses and have poor vision but this was obvious to the naked eye. I was a bit perturbed that our waitress didn't even notice how dirty the plate was. We sent it back immediately and were given a new plate that had just been washed. The fish was super greasy so I ended up removing the fried batter and eating just the meat. I don't eat french fries but my mom said that they were just okay. I would have given JT Schmid's 3 stars but the plate incident irked me to the core! I'll park my car here before an event but I won't be dining here anymore.

Love the JT Schmidt's in Tustin. We were in the area of this one so we decided to go there for our favorites. Restaurant was empty, yet service was spotty at best. We both had fries with our meal but finally had to flag down another waitress to get ketchup. You would think that would be automatically brought to the table since we had fries. All the food was greasy and fries were over cooked. Definitely not operated on the same level as the Tustin location. Cooks are clearly better at the Tustin location as well. Nasty sewage smell in the lobby area upon entry. Won't return here, will stick to the Tustin location.

Very fun restaurant/brewery with lots of space and menu options. The Mahi Mahi fish tacos were scrumptious, but their IPA was sadly generic. Did the beer sampler, and found myself enjoying the Amber and Stout more than the wattered-down dumb blonde. Overall great food, but would emphasize the restaurant aspect over the brewery side.

WTH JT Schmid's... you've changed. We were in the area on a Saturday night and were craving burgers. Since we didn't feel like driving around, we figured we'd stop by since we enjoyed our food the last round and they had a good variety of beers on tap. For a Saturday night, this place was DEAD. There was a private function happening in one of the rentable spaces that seemed to be hopping up front, but other than that, there were a few peeps seated at the bar, and a couple of random tables with people in the main dining area. We were seated immediately by the friendly hostess and our server came to greet us shortly after that. We already knew we wanted burgers, so that's where we went. Hunger pains were setting in, so we decided to order a plate of boneless wings to hold us over in the meantime. The food was terrible. I'm not too picky, but this was really bad. The service from that point on went downhill fast, too. What really bothered me was how fast the food came out from the kitchen.... like within five minutes. Our burgers came out before the appetizer. Food ordered: The Farm House Burger: I'm a sucker for anything with an egg on top, so this handheld was my choice for the evening. It had bacon, cheddar cheese, a fried egg and mayo. I ordered it medium and it came out beyond well done. So bad that I had to ask for extra water to help wash it down. It was super disappointing. I was so hungry that I kept eating. I wanted to send it back... but nobody came to check up on us for a good 15-minutes after the fact. It was a different server and she really couldn't care less about any of the tables that were being neglected. The Boneless Buffalo Wings: Again, super dry, even after being lathered in sauce. The sauce itself was okay, but everything else was terrible. I wanted to have a beer, but the server never came back to take my order, so I had to settle with water. By the time I had started eating, I already vowed not to give this establishment anymore money than I had to. There was a corner by the kitchen that had a lot of the staff sitting, chatting and eating. I guess maybe everyone was on lunch to take notice on the actual paying guests in the restaurant needed anything. I wont be returning. Between the grumbling between our table and the one table next to ours, I think management needs to work on customer service and the kitchen needs to work on quality versus how fast something can be sent out... This place has so much potential, but I don't think it's being utilized to its fullest, especially since their beers are quite good, the patio is huge, and if you're a sports fan, they have a ton of TVs displaying a different games. For the price and what you get, there are far better establishments to frequent in the area, which is unfortunate, because this was my spot to recommend people wanting a quick bite or beer before hitting up the Honda Center.

The host was great. The waitress was good. However, I felt like the cooks were horrible! I was on my way to the Kanye West concert across the street and decided to eat before meeting up with my friends and feel like the cooks were giving me dirty looks. It made me feel uncomfortable. The ambiance of the restaurant and everyone else was pleasant according to my standards and I eat out a lot. These guys need to be replaced asap considering all it takes is one bad person to ruin a good place.

Great place to host an event. Small, intimate, yet inviting and spacious enough for your guests to party on.. Came here for a friends Halloween themed Bday party, and was surprised to find the place a little empty. However, in the back area of the restaurant there were more private party rooms happening with people having good times. I famished myself with the nachos and wings, and washed down with cocktails from the bar. The staff and food here are pleasant. The place is A-OK where its not horrible, but not really amazing. Its definitely a cool place to hang out for a night and have drinks. Perks: Large dining area and outside patio. Location is close to shopping and entertainment. Private Parties seem to be the thing here. Make note! OverALL: Since I didn't really have the complete dining experience here at JT's, it was still a decent time, and worth the try of their food and drink menu.

HAH....lets just say this is going to be a long review, and even then, I don't think it will even TOUCH on the disappoint I have of this place. The two stars is STRICTLY for the OUTSTANDING service I received from the manager....and DUE TO MY EXPEIRENCE I WILL NOT GIVE A HIGHER RATING. Right away...my fiancé makes a face..i asked whats wrong...and he said...try this...its cold...I said WHAT...(im BIG...BIG BIG ON SERVICE At RESTURANTS) I tried his Jambalaya...and YEAH IT WAS BARLEY ROOM TEMPERATURE.....then he said its ok...BUT NO UM ITS NOT OKAY. then...he bites a shrimp..spits its out and IM LIKE OMG WHAT? he said try this....and I did...the shrimp wasn't even all thawed out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called for the manager immediately..... FIRST OF ALL.........WHAT IN THE WORLD???? ITS VALENTINES DAY AND THE COOOK CANT GET IT TOGETHER ENOUGH TO ALL THE WAY COOK THE FOOD WE ORDERED OR WHAT? THIS PLACE IS NOT CHEAP....and ...just wow.... We stopped here before going to the Angel/Yankee game yesterday and were VERY disappointed in multiple levels. We sat outside in the bar area for their happy hour specials & after receiving our drinks, we smelled cigar smoke. Apparently the people sitting behind us were the ones smoking them. It's my understand that California has a "no smoking" ordinance and if smoking permitting signs should be posted in designated areas so other patrons can have the option to move etc. The men that were the smokers appeared to be "biker types" and even though it is not in my nature to not speak up, I was not going to have a confrontation with them or make it known I was upset about their smoking & the smoke blowing my way. I'll add that there was no other tables available or I would have moved immediately. This is absolutely disrespectful to other patrons who may have allergies, or other medical issues along with just not wanting to be around smoke of any form! Secondly the food was mediocre at best with little flavor at all. My burger was decent but the fries were awful! My husbands pizza was decent but lacked flavor as well. The service was goods which is why I gave the 2 stars. My entire experience was very much a negative one & I would never recommend this place to anyone!! Unless you're ok with the things I mentioned above... DONT EVEN BOTHER wasting your time or money here!!

Came to this restaurant on Valentine's Day of all days and was pleasantly surprised. First of all I made reservations for two early in the week and the day of was able to increase the number to four happy about that. OK so there was complimentary valet parking because of a game across the street which was great as well. Now we got there a little early and sat at the bar, this was around 5:30 pm reservation at 6:00pm. Ordered a raspberry lemon drop martini and a strawberry lemon drop martini and these were the strongest drinks I've ever tasted. For mine I even asked for more syrup but it was still super strong. Now some people love that, I'm not a big drinker so I didn't finish my drink, my husband and dad did though. So word for wise if you don't want it strong say so as you order. The food... We ordered the wings for appetizers the hot wings and they were delicious. For entrees I got the grilled salmon with rice and veggies it was good not seasoned well but still cooked greated. Other entrees included the jalapeño mac and cheese, the prime rib and baby back ribs full rack. Everyone enjoyed their food no complaints other than lack of seasoning. Our waitress was great very attentive and we got everything we asked for. We were very satisfied with the service. Plus the restaurant was not crowded at the time we went so we were surprised but very happy. So overall this restaurant was a good pick for us.

Good food, good service but most importantly great management and owner. I came here during the OC restaurant week a few months back and didn't have a great experience. I reached out to the restaurant and the the next day the owner, Mr. JT himself, reached back. I had a great conversation with him. He listened to the issues and made efforts to correct them. WOW what a great place. It is so refreshing to see owners who care about their business. Who understand that we, as customers, matter and they want to keep our business. I will definitely come back again. Thanks so much.

This is your typical brew/gastro pub. Evidently there are just two locations, both in Orange County, yet it has a big corporate homogenized chain feel to it. Both times I was here, there were events nearby, which made parking tricky. The first night I was there, parking was virtually impossible. There was an event at the Honda Center, Anaheim Stadium and the grand opening of the new transportation center. The service was good and the food was good. We had a group of about 7 both times. I had an IPA ($6.25), and we shared a couple of appetizers. I had the Walnut Pear Salad ($7.50) and the Bleu Cheese Prime Sirloin ($21.95). Everything was fine, but it seems a bit overpriced. At least some things do. $6.25 seems just barely in the ballpark for a pint of IPA. But, $5.50 for a 12-oz Coors Light? Burgers start at $10 and go up to $20, literally. French dip for $15? Bottom line is that this is a decent, overpriced, generic place that caters to people going to events at the Honda Center or are in town for business and have expense accounts. The food is good, the service is good, but nothing is great nor does anything really suck except for the parking and traffic situation. Would I go back? Sure if I need to feed a group with diverse dietary interests, wasn't looking for anything unique or interesting and had $40-$50 per person to spend.

Mediocre. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't come back, soup was lukewarm, fries were cold. I do appreciate them splitting our order in 2 portions and putting on separate plates as me and my girl were sharing the 12oz steak. Steak was delicious

Good food. They have expanded the outside portion of the restaurant. It looks great! I had a pastrami sandwhich here today which was good. The service was excellent. The menu has a little bit of everything which I like. Burgers, pizza, fish tacos, sandwhiches, etc.

Five stars is not enough for this restaurant and the manager Ryan. I had a major party planned for months down the street from them. The other location called me at 2:30 in the afternoon, the day of the party, to tell me that they were having an electrical problem and were canceling my party. ( very rude about it too). I was desperate. I called JT's, spoke to Ryan and within 15 minutes he confirmed that he would be willing to help me and let me throw the party there at 6:00pm. He mirrored not only what the other location was feeding but also the price. This is how a business should be run. I will forever give them my business and recommend them to all.

Happy hour til 5 on game nights or Honda center events otherwise til 630. Cheap appetizers and drinks. Love love love Bloody Mary's! Great place to have a few drinks before the game and you can leave your car there for $20 and walk over to the game.

I've been so interested & eager to visit this restaurant because I see many friends check in here. And as I pass by for Angels games. Boy was I WRONG on thinking they had good food, good atmosphere, location & service. Curiosity killed the cat. I understand the 45 minutes wait for inside the restaurant because there was a show happening across the street that night. So my friend & I sat outside. From that moment it was DOWN HILL from there: 30 minutes to get our water & soda served in plastic throw away cups, never checked on for refillls, my friend asked for salt/pepper NEVER received it as the waitress was reminded 3xs, the salad was bad it looked like old lettuce, pizza was tasteless flavorless thin as paper no sauce toppings just thrown ontop. BBQ chicken pizza the chicken was so bland hospital quality chicken took a bite & spit it out that pizza had no sauce, no color & lacked appearance . Of the bbq pizza my friend ate 1 slice. The works pizza was a hot mess no sauce, cold, and toppings were thrown ontop. Pepperoni was good of the 1 slice I ate. As the waitress would attend our table to refill our water the ONE time she walked passed us 3 tables then worked her way back. My friend asked our waitress if she speak to a manager. Waitress "yea about what so i can see if anyone of them has time to see you" my friend response "food & service" so I ask her if the food normally this tasteless and cold. She herself said yea it looks dry with no sauce. We can take care of that. The manager comes over 10 min later. Ask how was the experience. All he does is listen and doesn't apologize just says we'll take care of it don't worry. The table behind me is overhearing our compliant to the manager. The man says I'm sorry I'm overheard them and to chim in on that, this card was charged theirs wasn't (2 bills), they never got their food burger pizza etc. And their french dip never made it out. At that point we left and didn't tip the waitress the manager took care of us. I will never walk into that place again. Even the restroom doors didn't lock or shut right.

My wife and I dropped in after leaving the new Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center down the street. First time visit for us. It was mid-day and we both ordered sandwiches.
