I have to be honest, I didn't expect much when I walked in and ordered for to go. There was one table in the place. I asked the food to be ready in 35 minutes and when I came back I waited about 5 more. When I came back the place was packed. A full parlor. When I got back to the house with the food I was very pleased. The pizza was great, real traditional pizza parlor pizza. The crust was crispy, and the toppings were tasty. There was a perfect blend of sauce and cheese. We also got 2 chef salads. They were equally as good. The only thing I have to say, and it's not negative, just a little weird but the salads had hamburger dill pickle slices in it. All in all the place rocked and I have now found my pizza place while visiting my Mom in Yuma!

We went here over Da Boyz and Ronnies because of the high reviews on yelp for it being a good NY style pizza. This was a mistake. We ordered a large cheese and a Sicilian pepperoni. The Dough was premade/frozen dough and wasn't properly cooked. The Sauce was not "sauce" it was unseasoned tomato paste, and the cheese wasn't real cheese (like the generic store brand type that doesn't melt). There was a horrible after taste like something was bad. Rotting. Words cannot describe how awful the Sicilian pizza was. It was like wax and tomato paste on dry biscuits (and not the good southern home-style ones either). We could even finish one slice and it not only ruined our appetite for the evening but upset our stomachs. My teenage garbage disposals tried one bite and wouldn't even eat the Sicilian. My suggestion, if your looking for New York Style Pizza, keep driving past and head to Ronnnies. Walmart deli pizza's are better than this place and a fraction of the cost.

We went back after about 15 years. Italian sub tasty, meatball sub i'll do it again! Small pepperoni/mushroom. Canned/marinated mushrooms, I don't know, I'll ask next time we go in!

Wow! My husband and I ordered a salad, wings, lasagna, and a small pizza. Everything tasted so amazing. They had a basketball going on one of their tvs and My Cousin Vinny on the other! Classic for an Italian restaurant. The owners were incredibly nice and very funny. We will definitely be back. This is the best pizza in Yuma. Oh and they have beer on tap!

Great, great, really good, simple pizza. Crust crackles, slice bends. Sausage is great, as is a tomato pizza here. We're fans of adding ricotta. Wish they'd ditch the TVs, but otherwise glad it's getting more attention from the new owner.

The people were SUPER nice and the food was terrific! We didn't have pizza, but we really enjoyed the pasta.

Staff was pleasant. Needs serious updating, better menu setup, and better pizza. Two pizzas both slightly burned around the edges, the thick crust was dry while the thin crust became soggy from the cheap mozzarella cheese used. It's not to appealing when the moisture separates from the cheese. Some changes needed but certainly not high on my list!

This is the WORST pizza I have ever had!! The gasoline aftertaste was enough to make me gag. The crust was like cardboard and the toppings were mushy. This is NOT NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA! This place has a long way to go before I would ever go back or refer it to anyone. Also, the atmosphere is totally outdated and the air vents look like they haven't been cleaned since the place was built.

Well, the first impression was good, but the pizza was very disappointing. The crust was nice and thin and crispy but that's as far as the pleasantries go. We'll stick with Da-Boyz.....

By far the closest you can get to New York style pizza in Yuma. The sliced sausage pizza reminds me of my NYC days.

Great food! I think all the guys are named Rocky! We ordered 4 salads, a veggie pizza, Rocky's special, and a cheese pizza after the local river rafting. All so dang delicious. Wait until you get to the crust... Just. Freaking. Wait. Enjoy!

Delicious pizza! The sauce to cheese ratio was totally on point and the topping placement was superb. The owners are very sweet and I enjoyed talking with them. My only discrepancy is that the restaurant is difficult to spot while driving down the road.

There's no sign on this place except the "open" sign and picture of a pizza which is not even lit up at night. Definitely hidden! I heard this place was owned by Italians with positive reviews so decided to try it out. LOCATION: 4th avenue next to Hometown Buffet. ATMOSPHERE: Not much of an atmosphere. Red hue lighting.... Odd..... Casual. Interior cafeteria style with traditional table seating. No one else inside but many people in and out with take out orders. FOOD: Selection from subs, salads, pizzas. I hear the Italian sub is good but we ordered: 1. Pizza 1/2 ground beef and ham - I believe they made a mistake and when we said hamburger and they thought it was both hamburger and ham. Oh, well, it was good anyways. The crust was nice and crispy. Medium thickeness. Not oily. 2. Pizza 1/2 mushroom - a bit disappointed as I could tell these were canned mushrooms. Bleh.... SERVICE: Order and pick up at the counter. No complaints here. TIP: Cash only! PARKING: Private lot. No problems finding a space. CONCUSION: No the best I've ever had but pizza's pretty good. I hate the canned mushrooms though. Probably do take out next time.

After having one pizza, I'd have to say that Rocky's is one of the best pizzas I've had. While their hours are a little limited, they are open in the evenings towards the weekend. The staff is very friendly and again, the food is great!

Best most authentic New York style pizza without it being too greasy. The owners are really talkative and nice. I always sit there to eat just because. I wasn't a fan of they're spaghetti or they're Alfredo but hey I only go for the pizza. I was only sad because the were only open on weekends now they have extended they're hours hooray! Pepperoni and cheese pies are they bells of the ball. You will NEVER lose with Rockys pies at a party or for dinner...

Please don't judge the place by the atmosphere...or the lack of a sign.you will definitely be pleasantly surprised. The owner Vicenzo is definitely the real deal. Great pizza and I lived in Italy for two years. Pesto is not on the menu but amazing...fresh basil grown by the owner with fresh parsley...ask if he has it... Does finally accept credit cards.

Great thin crust pizza. Medium Rocky's special - peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms, sausage & pepperoni- $15.20 total. No delivery and don't expect any service. Not the greatest ambiance so take it home if that bothers you.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
