Great hotel. Convenient to freeways. Helpful and friendly staff. Great rooms. Very clean and they have the sleep number beds which was really great for my fiancée and I's comfort levels. The air conditioner was cold and ran great. The showers stayed warm for long periods of time. The workout room had modern equipment. You can print and fax through the hotels network. Free, high-speed internet access. Nice bartender. Interesting perk about the bar, they have a belt of ice that you can keep your drink on to keep cool. Plenty of parking. Very close to the Old Town section where you can eat and watch movies. Would definitely go back if I had to stay overnight in Yuma again.

Great experience as usual from a Hilton Garden Inn. Room - great linens, pillows and towels - flat screen tv with premium channels - very comfortable mattress - high quality toiletries Hotel - well appointed lobby - free coffee and bottled water - complimentary newspaper available - full service restaurant in lobby Hotel is located very near downtown, the Colorado River and both yuma territorial prison and the quartermaster depot. Would definitely stay here for both business and pleasure.

If I'm traveling I will try to stay at a Hilton or a hotel by Hilton. I stayed here about two weeks ago for a family get together. When asked by my family where I was staying and I told them the Hilton they were like "Oh wow baller huh". I said no I just know what I like and it's the Hilton. The last time I came to Yuma I stayed here but this time I was very impressed but I don't know what it was, I think because this time I actually spent more time at the Hilton. I walked in the lobby and there was a young girl named Elezabat or something like that. I had a reservation already and she was so friendly. There is a restaurant and bar on the left side of the lobby. The lobby has two sides,a fireplace which is pretty nice and furniture that is kind of fancy. There is also a pantry where you can buy soda, chips, candy and so on next to the front desk. I was very happy with the room, as soon as I walked in the room I felt very cool air and didn't want to leave. This time I was riding solo so I had the king size bed that was so comfy to myself and boy that was great. The room had everything I needed from FREE bottles of water, microwave, frig and a remote that worked. The bathroom was great it had toiletries from Bath and Body Works and Neutrogena and a nice size mirrior. I had a view of the Colorado river from my room which I suggest for everyone if you can. There is a park below and next to the Hilton that I took pictures of. As you can see there is a train right next to the Hilton which you can actually go inside of. This park has trees which is great because it gets crazy hot in Yuma. When I come back to Yuma I will be at this Hilton once again.

Quiet, great service with nice rooms. Stop here for a night on to San Diego. No breakfast was a bummer. In this day an age free breakfast is a big draw. But it was just for the night.

Probably nicest hotel property in town. Good service and staff. Up to Hilton standards.

I have never stayed at a hilton garden inn before and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is appointed quite nicely and the beds are very comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially Mark who served us in the breakfast area 2 mornings in a row. The service and style of this hotel is much more than I would have expected for the price, if I happen to find myself in Yuma again I will definitely stay here.

This is my go-to spot when traveling to Yuma. My rate this last time was higher than the business associates I traveled with out here but without even saying anything the front desk made an adjustment and saved me a good chunk of $$. Brandon at the front is extremely helpful and very friendly. If not wanting to venture out the bar is usually open until around late and for some late night shenanigans can play around at the ice bar to keep drinks cool. The shuttle is working until around 9 and met Pete who made a reservation for us at a steakhouse then came back even after he was supposed to be off to pick us up. It's a normal hotel but the service absolutely helps them out! I'll continue to use them for company functions when out this way.

This is a review for their FOOD only! Not hotel services. I've come here a few times for dine in, hot breakfast. It's pretty cheap, I think $12 or $13 and it's all you can eat. They can dish you up anything you want, omelet, pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, etc etc. There's still waiter service and the server is very friendly too! It's right along the river front, so after you eat, you can walk around the river front area and see the "Ocean to Ocean" bridge. It's a very nice area of Yuma!

There isn't much to look at in Yuma, but the Hilton Garden Inn is very nice. Our room was great and we were happy to see that the room had a fridge, microwave and free wi-fi. We're kind of confused that Hilton has not adopted this format across all of their hotel brands. The rooms are spacious and our room was very clean. Two free bottles of water was a nice touch as well. We loved the pool and Jacuzzi and my wife enjoyed the fitness center. The train next to the hotel is a fun little touristy touch. We were in town for a day to visit some friends and loved our stay. We'd seriously consider returning to this hotel just as a getaway. We didn't deal with the staff much, only at check-in and did not eat in the restaurant. The short interaction we had with the front desk staff was pleasant and they got us checked in quickly. There is a playground in the park behind the hotel which was also a nice touch when we went for a walk with our daughter. Not a whole lot of stuff to do around the hotel, but we weren't really looking, and it's Yuma so...... All in all we loved our stay, would return again and they had just about every amenity that should be standard to hotels nowadays. We also did not have to pay for self parking, another thing Hilton should consider across all properties and brands.

Excellent hotel! We stayed for a week during July & had a great experience. The room was very clean with nice bedding & comfy bed. I was able to stream movies on my tablet over the wifi, no problem. The hotel was in the process of getting upgraded but this did not effect our visit at all. The AC unit worked AMAZINGLY. Seriously, we had our room down to the 60's with no trouble. The staff is SO nice, each of the front desk people were just really friendly. And those oat bars they make daily are yummy. The great thing about the Hilton Garden Inn is that its walkable to downtown. We were able to walk to dinners & the movie theater several times during our visit. The breakfast was perfectly acceptable. We also enjoyed having a bar with a HAPPY HOUR! One thing, and this is probably because I've never been in the desert before, but the pool was blazing hot! Like hot tub hot. Decent work out room if you're into that sort of thing!

Great location along the riverfront. Great access to parks, trails and historic downtown. Fabulous conference facilities for small to medium events. Unfortunately, hotel beds either too hard or too soft and room either too cold or too warm. What's worse is reported to front desk and did not sense any real concern (as she stood next to satisfaction guaranteed sign).

Holiday Inn Express with a bar, restaurant and great rooms? I'm In! I had to go for a dog show and checked in. Front Desk person Amy saw my phone charger didn't work and lent me hers! Really needs to be commended for telling me how special that location was near old town and to enjoy my time. Room was great, except they have not added USB outlets to charge all electronics. Room service two nights in a row was great, food great and I was a very happy customer..other than loosing my wedding ring there. :(

Love this hotel! Free coffee and tea along with baked goodies upon entrance....sparkling clean rooms with an awsome gym. Food is delicious in the restaurant. Everyone here is friendly. My son loves the train outside. The nearby park is lovely too with beautiful grounds. Our favorite Yuma hotel.

Best Hotel in Yuma. Friendly staff go out of their way to make my stay the best possible. Close to Downtown shops and restaurants. Great running/walking trail along Colorado River right behind Hotel!

Stayed July 12th and it was a fantastic stay. Our room was clean and the staff was excellent. It was a great rate and we will gladly put up our friends or family that come to visit in this hotel.

Started staying here after bad experience at Holiday Inn chain. Nice property on the Colorado River. At a point in the River where you can walk across the river and stand on state line. Just something I find humor in . Surrounding area of town would be considered sketchy to some but not horrible. It is Yuma after all. Rooms are clean and nice. Tyrone at the hotel bar is friendly. I did order room service and food was mediocre. Staff is friendly, nice view of the river.. This is not a bad hotel by any means just smaller than I prefer on my longer stays for business. Nice gym onsite as well and freeway close.

This Yuma trip has been quite the adventure. After our disaster at the Comfort Inn we end up staying here after reading a review from a friend on Yelp. She was right! This place is well worth the money. It's not super luxury but the place is clean and the gym is awesome. The breakfast buffet is not free but it is good quality. The people that work here are really nice and treated us well. The beds were comfy and I liked that the firmness of the mattress was adjustable. The coffee is awesome at the buffet. I would gladly stay here again if we ever have to come back to Yuma.

Everything at this hotel was wonderful! The room was large, clean, and modern. The pool was nice! They have a great little exercise room. Complimentary wifi for one day. Great service! Location was wonderful.. walk down to the river or down to Main St! I will stay at this hotel every time I come to Yuma!!!

I only stayed here one night, so I can't say too much, but we got a good nights rest, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and fully stocked when we checked in. The staff were very friendly and asked me what floor I wanted when we checked in, which is rare for a hotel and much appreciated as I prefer being on the top floor for the best views and the least amount of noise. We had a nice view of the Colorado River and the Yuma valley. The property is very convenient to walk down to the river, and it's also walking distance from downtown Yuma, but there are not too many restaurants nearby and no Starbucks, gotta drive a couple miles for one of those.

My favorite place to stay in Yuma. Clean, quiet and great location for a nice evening or early morning walk. They have a very spacious work out room and equally spacious rooms. The hotel has a restaurant and bar. Breakfast is not complimentary unless you are a Gold member or higher (and have selected this as your rewards option). Otherwise it can range anywhere from $6 for continental or $15 for the full breakfast. [Typical for HGI if you travel and frequent the chain.] They offer members 500 additional points for eating at the restaurant for dinner. The prices are not bad and the variety/quality of food is ok especially if you don't feel like venturing out. It's relatively close to I-8 making it easy to continue your journey. I have never found it difficult getting a room at the government rate here, other hotels in Yuma have limited rooms at this rate (annoying).

Awesome staff. Every single person at this property delivers superior customer service. Restaurant and bar on site with a happy hour from 4-7pm. Either hot breakfast or continental. Nice pool and spa outdoors. The exercise room is impressive for a hotel-- lots of machines and free weights. This is the only hotel on an actual historical site. Amazing view of the river & wonderful location. The only hotel within walking distance of downtown Yuma.

Excellent business hotel with professional staff. The small bar was very social and the bartender "Chrissy" was fun to chat with about everything. The business center was clean, and well-maintained, and the workout room was welcome given the 100 degree temperatures outside. Not a good place for families with children, as the clientele are more geared towards business and quiet entertaining in the public spaces. The outdoor pool is not geared towards kids and swimming, but rather relaxing in a quiet, business climate. Highly recommended for business travelers or couples without kids.

This hotel was close to getting 5 stars from me, but 3 issues prevented that. I'll give the bad before the good: Cons * Ice machine broken on second floor * Fireworks going off at the river - LATE at night (not totally the fault of the hotel, but perhaps they could call someone- I don't know what the laws are on fireworks) * The restaurant closed at noon one day (hours listed 11-2 PM) * The TVs were undersized for our suite (this is not one of the 3 issues I cared greatly about) Pros * The restaurant re-opened for the most part for us... after I challenged them * Pete stopped what he was doing (cleaning) to act as a server for us (I don't think his normal gig) *Everyone was very nice *Pool and hot tub were clean (except for some cigarette butts at the hot tub) *Clean room/ not 'old and worn out' *Good view to the river *Plenty of parking *FREE WIFI (hopefully all hotels realize how KEY this is)

We really enjoyed our two-night stay here. The location was great, especially with the Old Town area just a couple of blocks away. The room was clean and comfortable - not luxurious, but I don't need luxurious. The staff was wonderful, from the desk to the housekeeping! The desk called us each evening to make sure we had everything we needed, and even sent an email before we checked out to offer the opportunity to make suggestions or complain. We did not eat at the restaurant, but we did visit the bar on two occasions. Chris, the bartender on both nights, was so friendly and gave excellent service, and according to my friend, he made the best Bloody Mary she'd ever had (and she used to be a bartender!). I think the only possible thing we could complain about - and it was so inconsequential that I feel bad even mentioning it - is that the air conditioner in the room was pretty noisy. But it did its job, and that's what is truly important. It would have been nice if there had been some local attractions/tourist information in the room, but again, not critical. The free wireless internet is fabulous. Although I didn't use them, the workout room and the business center with its computers and printers were always in use (but not overcroweded). There were free yummy cookies at the desk each evening, and a nice "convenience store" where one could purchase snacks and drinks right next to the desk. The weather was a bit too cool to try out the pool and hot tub, but they did look inviting. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel. No place is perfect, but this was pretty close, and the friendly, helpful staff was delightful.

I don't really have other hotels to compare to in Yuma, but my coworkers tell me that this place is probably the best in terms of comfort and service that falls within per diem. Lots of positives: ------------------------- -very clean and modern -excellent service and very friendly staff (changed my room, found my keys, held elevator door open, changed remotes in gym...list goes on) -very good dining food -next to an interesting landmark, the pivot point pacific train -directly above a beautiful park which has a lake! -free internet in your room -free use of business center (printing and office supplies are free of charge).. you can even print from your room if you have internet! -nice toiletries -good water pressure and consistent water -AWESOME gym ... they have all new equipment like the ones you have at 24 hr fitness (and the place is CLEAN) .. and has a TV! -AWESOME TV!!! -lots of parking -walking distance to downtown yuma (not a lot there, but hey) -generous points for their hilton honors membership -guest laundry room (i think $1.25/ wash) -free cookies at the front desk... -free newspaper delivered to your door every morning! Slight cons: ------------------- -walls are kinda thin.. I could hear people walking around the hallways at night -adjustable firmness for bed: i thought this would be cool but even at the softest level, it's still much more firm than i like -water softening --it's just me, i don't like my water softened =P -no free continental breakfast and breakfast bar opens at 6A. which was a little late for us since we had to get up at 4:45A and leave by 5:15. -AC is a bit loud, but really a big deal.. I just turned it on for awhile and turned it off when the room got cooler. Overall, this is a great place to stay!!!

We stayed in Hilton Garden Inn back in December. The rate is reasonable for the quality of the hotel. It has nice lobby with comfortable couches. There was also a heated pool right outside the lobby area. The view from the room is not much to look at but the room size was decent and the bed was really comfortable. Bathroom was nice - dual sinks, separate bath & shower and plenty of towels. Towels were rough so if you have sensitive skin, you might want to bring your own.

I had a good stay at this hotel. Staff was very courteous. They only serve room service in the evening though. The view outside my room was not the best (I posted a picture), but every room can't have a grey view I suppose.

Excellent hotel and location, beautiful rooms, nice dining area, pool, lobby....everything was perfect. Location is so nice too....easy to get around and right above the park and river. We always looked forward to our morning walks there and hated to leave. A nice place to experience some luxury without breaking your budget.

We stayed two nights in March 2010. Excellent location, meaning close to the historic parks & the riverfront. Large fitness room. Free Internet in business center. Hotel is easy to get to. Lots of parking. Nicely decorated rooms that are large & clean. Super friendly staff. Good room service. Downside...next to sewage treatment facility. It smells in the elevator & also in your room if you run the a/c. I would have given the hotel 2 stars based on that fact alone but the other factors sort of make up for the stink. I think it has something to do with their air system as there was no smell if we didn't run the air or left our window opened.

I wanted to give 4 stars but didn't for A couple of reasons. Will explain in a minute. I'm still here and have been here for 6 days so far. I've stayed in three hotels now for work reasons. I do like this hotel overall. Nice and clean with nice rooms. The staff are all nice and friendly. The bar/food area is nice and the food priced as expected for a hotel. The fitness room is outfitted nicely. The pool seems nice but I never used it. The down side and reasons I rated it a 3, My room is right next to the stairs and when people run and down I hear them. The door to enter/exit the stairs is right next to my room and when it's used the door slams pretty loud and hard. Maintenance said they are aware of the problem but can't fix it. Secondly is for a large 4 story hotel they have only one washer and dryer. It is not easy getting in there to wash clothes. I recently stayed at the Candlewood Hotel in Yuma and they had 3 washers/dryers and they were FREE. I do like the hotel and may stay here again but will be careful what room they assign me.. Hopefully they will improve the washer/dryer issue.

Very nice, clean and quiet. Did not like the blanket/comforter provided. The underside was satin like and kept slipping off the sheet, making me fight the blankets all night. If there had been a spare blanket in the closet, I wold have given a 5 star. Very nice property.

Very nice hotel. Free internet, nicely furnished room, comfortable bed. Good restaurant and bar in lobby. Well equipped exercise room and clean pool. Friendly staff. And to top it off, reasonable price.

My boyfriend took me to the restaurant for my birthday dinner. The food was wonderful. We both ordered the bass and it was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is quiet. Waitstaff was prompt and not too bothersome. They gave us a free slice of chocolate cake. Yummy!
