I have never eaten at a Golden Corral before, and probably never will again. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, figuratively and literally. The only thing that made this visit remotely tolerable was the amazing and friendly service we had from our server. I really wish I could remember her name but unfortunately I was so focused on how awful my experience was, I selfishly didn't take her name down. From the moment we paid we were treated poorly. The first girl at the register quoted the wrong prices, then the second girl was a nasty *itch about it when we mentioned what the other girl had told us it would cost. Whatever, we were willing to pay it and were not rude about it, we just asked about what the other girl had told us when we came in. Then she didn't put down the correct drink for me, when she repeated it back and I corrected her, she still put me down for the wrong drink. Then we found a table that was kind of clean, but they were busy, so we just wiped it off with napkins ourself, no big deal. Thank God our server was super nice otherwise this would have been complete sh*t. Older woman, slightly heavyset, shorter brown hair, that's all I can recall. Anyway, so we go up to get our food, half the food is out (again busy, so we just get what we can and keep checking back). My mom's chicken was still bleeding inside and raw looking, some of the food I ate tasted rubbery, and the gravy tasted like a flour and water paste with a light sprinkling of pepper. Myself and a large group of people kept waiting around the juice machine for cups. Two men who look like management maybe were just standing in the back watching. Finally one of the men in the group went over and asked them for a cup, they went and got just him a cup! They never brought any more cups out during the remainder of our visit. The bathroom smelled like ....I don't know what but it was awful. This review is long enough...I think you get it.

I loved loved loved GC when I lived on the east coast...but this one fell way short! First stop once we pay and seated was to wash our hands. Go into the ladies room and there's straight up shit on the floor! Not a little toot toot but like a steaming pile of poop that a great dance can lay down. Gross. Gross. Then the seats are awkward. You might be right next to the managers door overhearing them complaining about how you asked if somebody can clean the #2.. Never again. I'll wait until I visit South Carolina again to go to Golden Corral.

This restaurant has really good food and it's much better than hometown buffet, where I live. Has good customer service and great staff. I come here every time my mom and I come from San Diego on our Yuma trip and I like it.

Made a quick trip to Yuma from San Diego picked this place since we couldn't agree on what to eat. The way the was presented was horrible, I then tried the food and just like the presentation it was horrible!! Even the desserts were tasteless!! Don't go here! Save your money!

I have to five star this location because the servers have been amazing and the buffet is very clean.

Not sure about golden, this is more of an OK corral. I've had better food than this as a VIP (vato in prison) the only difference is that your chances of survival are better here and you get to go home with a full belly and a minimal wallet damage. Service is great no problems there, place was clean and organized able to serve big crowds as it was very busy at my time of visit. Food selection was good and plentiful, you can pick from Mexican, Asian, Italian or American the problem was that it all tasted the same to me, there was no wow, mmmm or fingers licked so I concentrated on substance instead of flavor but for all the food you can eat and for the price you pay...there's a bang somewhere here!

This restaurant use to be good. We use to go a couple of times a month. Last time there the food was horrible. Place was filthy. Silverware was dirty. To top it off some employees were having a break at a table & was loud & disrespectful. We have not been back. Stay away.

For the price this is about the best buffet you'll find. Want better? Go to Vegas for triple. Big step up from home town buffet, the fish isn't made of rubber. And the menu is actually tasty. Haven't toured the kitchen so I'm only guessing the cleanliness reflects the presentation which is surprisingly good.

I have been thoroughly disgusted this time. Went to get clean silverware, full of dirty silverware. Then the bathroom almost made me vomit it's so dirty.

It's really hard for me to not give good ratings to Golden Corral because, well, I'm a pig. On our trip to Yuma we needed a place to eat before heading to our hotel and we've been so diligent with our workouts lately we decided to reward ourselves by stuffing ourselves with more food than normal people should eat. They had a freshly baked banana bread that was heavenly. The brussel sprouts amazing and they had this weird looking stuff called bourbon chicken that was awesome. One of those things you just have to close your eyes and eat! They also had these chicken fajitas that were fresh and not greasy at all. Oatmeal cookies always go a long way for me. The only reason I don't give this Golden Corral 5 stars is because the lemonade seemed more like someone had taken a half lemon and squeezed it into a cup of water. Otherwise, we got our fill. Thanks Golden Corral!

The food is terrible. The service is bad. I don't know if the servers are new or whatnot, but it is not acceptable. You can see into the kitchen and it is absolutely disgusting. There is food blanketed on the floor. The grills are covered in grime of unknown origin. The produce is brown and appeared to have been unrefrigerated for the whole day. The trays that the food rest in are very dirty . For my senior parents, myself, and my three children we spent $75.But, I went to the manager to complain and she was very understanding and offered to give my money back. So she gave me my money, I complimented her on her good management skill , an then I left. Hopefully I will never have return to that establishment again.the corporate of golden coral will definitely be receiving a letter from me in the near future.

Ok, it is Golden Corral, but years ago when I ate in one in Calif, if you pick and choose it was ok. This one in Yuma is nasty. Not very clean and all the "hot" food was lukewarm and we got there when they opened. I was wanting to try the choc fountain which was good. Everything else tasted like airline food.

I was all ready to have me some Golden Corral. I usually love their food. HOWEVER, after seeing the disgust all over the place I quickly lost my appetite. Right off the bat the trays you get to put your drinks on had old food on them and were all wet. There was food under EVERY table, the carpet had a greasy sheen in the traffic areas, the walls around the food counters were filthy, and there was black goo caked on the floor under the food counters that had been there for quite some time. When the servers replaced the food, they merely put more food on top of the old food and stirred it around rather than replacing the bowl with a new bowl and putting the old food on top. I saw back into the kitchen area and there was trash and food all over the floors. The stainless steel divider area between the counters was caked with old food in the corners and god know what else. There was spilled food around every container on the counters that was not cleaned up at all. The floor under the cash register area was caked with black goo and covered with dust. I went through about 8 forks before I found one that didn't have crusted stuff on it, and different tables I checked out had some kind of oily sticky residue all over them. This place was awesome last September (2014) when I was there, but I will NEVER go back to this location. I have NEVER been in such a filthy restaurant, and I've been in some pretty bad ones. I cannot believe the health department has not been called. This place was scary. Under NO circumstances should you enter the bathroom in this place. It made the bathroom out on the highway rest area look like it was right out of Better Homes and Gardens. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS.

Golden Corral went from being golden to deserving less than a bronze! First of all, they go rid of their tortillas, so that you can no longer fill your face with endless tacos. Secondly, the customer service significantly slipped. Those two factors made me change from a loyal customer to an ex-Golden Corral customer.

First I must say I hate places like this, but the rest of my party wanted to go there. Food was okay, service lacked a little and the place was so dirty. Cobwebs everywhere, stuff all over the floors, bathrooms unusable.

I traveled to Yuma for the weekend to do some off-roading in the nearby desert and worked-up quite an appetite and the GC in Yuma did a good job of filling my belly after a day in the dirt. Pros: Didn't have to wait to get a table even though we arrived at 6:45 on a Saturday night Everything I had with the exception of a steak which was over-done was fresh and tasted as it should. Wait staff was friendly and did a good job keeping the table cleared of empty plates and glasses. Cons: Steak was over-done. Both mine and the one a friend who joined me for dinner had were way over-cooked. It's a Golden Corral, I mean if you're looking for a fine-dinning experience, you're not going to find it here. For me though a Buffet is an occasional treat and this one didn't disappoint.

I got the feeling that other Golden Corral probably serve better food than this particular place, but I will never know because I will not eat at any Golden Corral again because of the funny-tasting food I ate at this particular restaurant. I guess if you want quantity and don't care for quality, this is probably a good place for you to eat.

This place has gone down hill. Scrambled eggs were floating in liquid , pizza was burned. Quality control is terrible, I actually heard a new manager introduced herself to an employee saying "we are here to make money not friends"...If you want to make money you should check the quality of your product. Also saw 3 children hang out at the dessert bar the entire time my family ate their meal. These kids picked up every cookie put them back. The little one shoved his ice cream back in the dispenser yet none of the employees sent them away or cleaned up after. I finally told them that not everyone in the restaurant wanted their germs, and they should take whatever they touched. Granted their parents were at fault for their lack of discipline and they should've been asked to leave. Best part is our hostess was very attentive. BATHROOMS ARE TERRIBLE TOO. so much for the remodel...it doesn't reflect in the food service.

Once Snow Birds have left Yuma, customer service, food quality, sanitary conditions and food quantity at this Golden Corral goes out the door! Most items are not replenished and are not hot or fresh ... unless you like soggy, crusty scraps left in the bins. It's a constant fight with other customers to to get in line to wait for steaks or grilled items. Plates and glasses are often dirty. Grill 'chefs' call over their friends to get steaks before other customers know the foods are ready. Yuk and expensive! Spend your money on a sit-down, server restaurant.

Not very good, poor choices in food and not very good. Prices are 8.19 per adult lunch & 4.99 child under 12. I should have gone somewhere else!!

This place used to be our favorite place to get a yummy dinner without the cost. Now, it's gotten absolutely bleh... The food is cold, and frankly, most of what they have is bland, tasteless and dry. In fact, one morning my husband wanted to have a delicious breakfast, so we ventured to Golden Corral. When we got there we were told that they don't have soda and water... And all they had was tea or milk... (Their electricity was down)... They had some food prepared, but not everything was out... I kindly asked if we could get a discount, and the kind cashier went to ask the manager... Well, she came back and told us that her manager said, and I quote, "Sorry, there isn't any discount because YOU CHOSE TO COME HERE AND EAT." How pathetic is that? I have never experienced better customer service, have you? (little bit of sarcasm LOL) Anyway, that was the last time we ever stepped foot into that dingy restaurant... And we went maybe two to three times a month... They aren't getting our money anymore.

This place is terrible. They are always out of food, especially the grill. Its dirty and the food is tasteless. Save your money and go to Texas Roadhouse next door.

I enjoy the Golden Corral chain and was excited when I found one in Yuma. We visited one night with full intentions of stuffing face. They were advertising all these new shrimp items on the buffet and it sounded good. At Golden Corral, you pay the cashier, find a table, and then eat-at-will. We walkde up to the cashiers and they weren't rude, but far from friendly. I ordered an unsweetened tea and it was so strong that I couldn't drink it. The waitress was very friendly but replaced it with a regular coke after I requested a diet coke twice. The salad portion of the buffet had a wide variety of toppings to choose from. The quality was what you would expect from a buffet restaurant, not disgusting but not fresh either. I enjoyed my salad but couldn't eat anything else. I tried small samplings of everything and none of it tasted good. The taco bar had many choices, but the meat was dried up and bland. The shrimp items were over cooked and had far more batter than actual shrimp. Compared to other Golden Corrals, this location is sub par. I will not be revisiting. In fact, I get a little nauseous every time we drive past it.

WE FOUND A BUG IN THE EGGS!!!!!!! What more do I have to say, our waiter was so great! Awesome guy, but the rest was so wrong on many levels, when we found the bug we called the manager over and he just kept looking at the bug and trying to come up with whys and so forth. I mean we get why, but don't waste our time by explaining it. He said he would speak to the cook and never came back. So what does that tell yah????

My friend took me here when I came to visit her in Yuma. I'm from Orange County, CA and wish they have a closer location to me. Hands down, it beats Hometown Buffet. I thought the food was very tasty and fresh since I came right when they were about to serve lunch. Usually at buffets, I eat just to get my money's worth, but here, I eat because the food is really good.

I'm from San Diego so I don't get here all that often, but I've been here atleast four times as recently as 6 months ago and I don't understand the bad reviews. Everytime I've gone the food was hot and the wait staff was quick to clear your table. I don't know what people expect for $9, but you can barely get a burrito and a soda at the local taco shop anymore for that price. I would pay more for what you get here. I would expect a "foodie" to be all high brow about this place because it's a buffet, disregard those people's opinion, they also think Cuatro Milpas in San Diego is gross, they're wrong about that too. Anyway, try it, if you're like me and you eat a huge breakfast you won't be let down.

Great place with great selection. I was very satisfied with everything I've tried. There was one selection of many that I've tried that was so-so however.

Had lunch here on May 7, 2013. At 12:00 noon there were small sums of meat in the trays. Every meat dish I went to was the bottom of the barrel or sitting there empty. Flies flying around the food. The green beans in the hot tray were COLD. It seems the was food was not being kept at the right temperature. The booth we sat at, where the window, wall dividers are had dirt piled up in the corners. They had not been cleaned for quite a while. Walls were dirty around the booth. We will not be returning. The health department should check this Golden Corral. I have been in ones that were terrific. This one in Yuma was horrible and we have eaten there in the past. We came back since we enjoyed it the first time, but it has been a couple years. It certainly has gone down hill. Staff was great and on top of clearing our table. Very freindly.

I was excited to try this chain of restaurants. I'd heard that Golden Corral cared about its customers with allergies - I suffer from severe MSG-caused migraines. I even checked out the GC website. There was a whole section on allergies & the promise that a customer could speak to a manager about specific questions. I decided to give them a try. When I asked about MSG in their food, I was told "basically 95% of our food contains MSG." I told the cashier I wanted to talk to a manager. She left & return with the same story. "95% of our food contains MSG." After several attempt to speak to the manager, one finally appeared. He said all the food that is prepared on site is MSG safe, but our breading, gravies & sauces are not safe. Laziness is the reason they tried so hard to stick to the 95% story. Basically. My husband liked the food, but it wasn't worth the hassle. They DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS WITH ALLERGIES!
