Very disappointed. I heard and read good things about this restaurant and my wife and I decided to try it out. The establishment is large and provides at the counter seats and accommodating booths. Wasn't as full as I thought it would be, small parking lot in front, I guess if needed possibly a person could park in the hotels parking lot. We were greeted when we walked in and were allowed to chose between a booth and a table. We chose a table so they sat us in the corner in front of the emergency exit door and promptly handed menus. We sat for a good 5 minutes before asked what we wanted to drink. They have a good selection but the server seemed rushed. After delivering our drinks, we took a few minutes to look at their rather large menu. After another 15 minutes, another waitress came by and asked for our order. I ordered their full rack of ribs with beans, fries, and coleslaw and my wife ordered some breakfast items. I also ordered their "Wisconsin cheese curds" which came out first. They were a sad sight indeed. I come from Northern Wisconsin and I know how fresh delicious cheese curds taste like, and I hoped to relive that once more. These were not fresh by any means. These were the frozen type and surrounded by a crispy, greasy coating that didn't have any flavor. We watched as the restaurant filled a few tables with some older guests and some business men sat at a table next to us. They were friends with the owner as he would approach them a few times during our stay. Finally, our meals arrived and we were asked if we needed anything else. We took about 30 minutes to eat and were checked on once during this time. My ribs were lukewarm, they had the potential to be good but when touched they were not hot at all. The coleslaw barely had any dressing in it but the fries and the beans were descent. My wife enjoyed her breakfast. During the middle of our meal I asked for a side of ranch for my fries. When it was delivered to us, so was our ticket and we were not even asked for any dessert. Seems like they were in a hurry to make us leave. So, the worst part of this visit was the lack of customer service. The waitress were too busy trying to socialize with the business men and when we asked for to-go boxes they were just shoved in our hands as the waitress was to eager to figure out what was going on at the table next to us. I am not sure how this place is managed but a person knows that towels and rags do not belong in the rear pocket of an employees pants. Not very sanitary. Please either train your employees in better customer service or find people whom know how to work properly. Thank you.

First time in was a good experience. Nice diner style atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices, and good service. Food was fresh. I'm sure I will be back.

We went to Franks as we heard it was great.Apparently the people that told us that don't know good food. There was eight of us. My husband had a steak that was supposed to be med. rare and came out burnt to a crisp. The rest of the crew had some decent food and some awful. I know he should have sent the steak back as being in the restaurant business myself would want to know if something wasn't right. When we finally got the waitress to come over almost everyone was almost finished as much as they were eating. We won't be back.from most of the reviews neither will many other people. Better cooks and attentive wait staff would help.

Really good fish 'n chips. Really good pancakes. The kitchen is a bit small so sometimes it can take a while.

This is a great place to eat. The portion size is generous and the food is delicious. I had the pork ribs. There was a layer of meat about an inch think on top of the ribs. Definitely the meatiest ribs I ever had. The food is priced right to given the quantity. I was there with a large group and one of the members of my party didn't receive his salad until part way through the main course. Since there were so many of us, I can overlook this minor flaw. There is one thing however that is holding me back from giving the fifth star. I used the restroom as was the man who works in the kitchen. Since he is preparing food, I would have liked it if he had done a more thorough job washing his hands. Yuck.

My husband and I ate here a few times and not going back anymore. Last time we had half slab of baby back lib and country fried steak. BBQ sauce was awful. I'd rather use store bought sauce. Mashed potatoes were awful. I can do a lot better even with boxed mashed potatoes. Coleslaw was tasteless. Since service was great I give 2 stars.

Service was good, the waitress was very helpful, it was clean. By far the best part of the meal was the smothered covered extra crispy hash browns. Don't get the biscuits & gravy and the water is tap! However we heard they closed the same day we visited (yesterday).

Been back a few more times and always a good crowd so it's really not the best if you only have an hour. I find the food is adequate nothing on the menu that I crave and think I need to go to Franks. I think the attraction is that it's adequate food at an adequate price. I was there on 9/29/14 and ordered French toast and the waitress said she wasn't sure if they had bread. She came back and said they would use white bread. She did delay the serving of our food because she said the eggs looked overcooked. So kudos to the wait staff. They are above adequate thus the 4 stars. The place is ok but no great shakes.

Well we suffered through the ups and downs of Franks grand opening. The chaos, confusion and the left hand not understanding what the right hand was doing. It was fun, worth it. Good food at good prices. When you have something good going... Well it's like the old sayin "if it ain't broke don't fix it". We just entered The Hills, the new home of Franks. The BBQ chicken is gone. Major negative. We enjoyed that plate of BBQ. So here we are again watching waitress bump into each other not knowing who did what for what customer. There were eight customers when we arrived here. I already miss the steady flow of action at the old diner. The friendly faces and the scowl on the faces of a few of the cooks. Here at The Hills. Im staring at two doors that enter a kitchen, listening to 60 year old music espousing broken hearts and alcohol. All the fun, action, and excitement that happen in a cool little diner: Gone... It's all gone.

Very friendly service, they passed out flowers to all the ladies; Nice touch! On Friday night they have all-you-can-eat fish and a fish is absolutely delicious!!!

I ate here last week for dinner and was not disappointed. Ordered the baby back ribs and they were delish and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent, waitress was friendly and checked on my often and asked if everything was OK (they appreciated feedback as it's a new place and they want to know what the customer did or didn't like so they could adjust and I appreciated that.) I'd definitely go back.
