We are in Yuma for the wknd. This location is conveniently located near the Local hotels so we took advantage of the hotels "free shuttle service" & led us here for happy hour lunch and drinks. The place was pretty good. We had the Happy hour "Basket of Rib Tips": they were a pretty good size on meat, very, very few fries. (Very few) Happy hour "Nachos for two": when i think of nachos i think of tortilla chips and lots of melted nacho cheese cheese! This is not the case here. I would say the "Nachos" are more of a Tortilla chip Salad. (Not lying at all) look at the pic. Im not sure there was any cheese on there. This was my only negative here tho. Drinks: i had the Happy hour Sweet Mama Punch. It was okay, but my next was not on happy hour and its okay. Pay the extra bucks for this next drink because it was good. The In-Famous Margarita; which is actually moonshine ( not a margarita) (Moonshine, orange liqueur, fresh citrus, juice rimmed w daves sweet & salty bbq rub) this was a really good drink Dessert: the Key Lime Pie. 1st impression, the presentation of the slice was sloppy. (Pics provided) but it was just okay. Worth trying once, but i prob wouldn't order again. Overall we would come back. The drinks are delicious & the meat was good. Afterall my complaints werent on the meat and this is a BBQ place so for the BBQ end & drinks 4 stars...

Went river tubing with my son's Boy Scout troop and we stopped here for dinner. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon which was very good. I went there with 3 scouts and my daughter and we only spent $37( the kids all ordered from the kids menu). What a deal. The kids enjoyed trying all the different barbecue sauces on the table and daring each other to try the hotter and hottest sauces. The service was friendly, but they did not know anything about gluten intolerance other than it being a bandwagon that everyone was jumping on. Hopefully, someone there will become gluten intolerant, so they will realize it's not a fun bandwagon to be on ;)

Very tasty and they have a wonderful staff. The feast for one is a great choice. Ribs are tasty and the sauce is very good.

Coming from the Kansas City area chain BBQ is not a local favorite but in Yuma it's one of your only choices. Expect low ratings by locals because if it isn't carne adada it isn't food. This is great BBQ and have no complaints from any visit!

BBQ was not as great as I was expecting considering the positive reviews. Got the brisket and it was just sliced slabs of meat, not terribly tender and not that impressive or flavorful. As others have said, the sauces on the table helped, but if the meat were cooked well enough, then it should have been able to stand on its own without additional sauce. Alas, this plate was not up to the challenge. Potato salad was good, but the French fries were overdone and tasteless. Nice attentive staff helped improve things, but all in my party were underwhelmed by Famous Dave.

I still dream about the pulled pork sandwich. I love their sauces. I wish I could find a famous Dave's in Phoenix. This place is really good. The area is good, since it's new. The service is good too. Other than the fact that it has the vibe of your typical chain bbq joint, it's a good eat. Stop for a bite and drag yourself over to the theater for a movie!

On a day trip to Yuma, couldn't pass the opportunity to have BBQ at a chain restaurant. After all, the first clue is the ability to smell it outside and down the street, right? This looks like a BBQ joint on the inside with all the kitschy signs and decorations on the walls. Not to mention all the trophies, hardware and recognition from local newspapers and community events. My Petite, Red Headed Passion Flower and I were seated immediately and from minute one, the service was over the top. Our server introduced herself to us and upon learning of our first visit to Famous Dave's, we were presented with a generous basket of warm, nicely seasoned homemade potato chips. Our server went on to platter up 5 silver dollar sized samples of Dave's BBQ sauce, all ranging from sweet to spicy. She prompted us through the samples with detailed explanations of each sauce as we sampled them with the potato chips. It really was a nice touch and allowed us an appreciation of sauces we had never tried before. The mustard based sauce was a pleasant surprise as was the Devils Spit. I ordered the half slab 'naked' (no sauce) with coleslaw, beans and cornbread muffins. Sweet tea was my beverage of choice. The coleslaw was excellent! Tangy and sweet. My PRHPF and I did battle over the slaw. Beans were delicious with chunks of meat and a nice glow about them. I complimented my beans with the cornbread muffins by slathering butter on my muffin and crumbling into my beans. Mmmmm. To blatantly steal from my Man Crush, "Good Eats". Coulda made a meal out of just the sides. The half rack was presented St. Louis Style, nice big boned pork ribs. One bite and my bite pulled away nicely. Not the overcooked, fall off the bone BS most folks believe makes good ribs. These ribs were seasoned nicely but it took another couple bites to realize the meat was lacking flavor. Both meat and smoke flavor were not present. Inspection of the bone revealed a chalky white surface, a telltale sign of excessive moisture from steam. Just slightly disappointed in the ribs. 25 bucks with tip for a half rack with sides and two non-alcoholic drinks. Great service, looks like a great place to go with a crowd. Minus one star for the boring ribs.

I was in Yuma on a business trip. Lunch time came and I was starving. I went to Famous Dave's. Maybe that was not a very smart choice. Walked into this place, and there was no one there to greeting. Wow......hmmmm...ok. After 30 seconds some skanky waitress passes by and seats me. Waiting on the server now...........1, 2, 3, 4, 5 minutes............... After 5 minutes, I just walked out and left. Nobody even asked me anything. LOL WTF. What a waste of time, especially when you're really hungry. Went to Mimi's Cafe instead.
