No kidding, this is hard find! GPS won't help you get to the door. Go til the very end of the road, and instead of giving up, turn left and go around the building with the little orange tower at the very end of the runway and there it magically appears. It's worth it! The creamy poblano chicken enchiladas were fantastic! Airport has sporadic use (military and firefighting) so very quiet. We were able to buy fresh corn and flout tortillas. Have a separate tortilla just for chips. So good!

Our lunch venture was a bit like a scene from breaking bad, towing our RV trailer out in to the desert, way off the beaten path in search of E and O Kitchen that Yelp had tipped us off to. Have to say, it was totally worth it! Definitely authentic Mexican food from this tiny restaurant sitting on the airport property. You can order your food, park next to the runway (literally right next to it), and watch little planes come and go. If you're ever traveling through Winslow, AZ, be sure to stop here! To find it, get on airport road and just keep driving until you can't drive any further: you'll end up smack in front of it!

We arrived at the restaurant only minutes before it was supposed to close at 7 pm. We were greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner. This is a family restaurant, and we were treated like family. Our server offered us samples of the homemade sauces and explained the menu. The portions were ample but nit overwhelming . I had the blue corn enchiladas with chicken filling and poblano sauce with eggs on top. I enjoyed it thoroughly. They were willing to customize the dishes by changing fillings and sauces more than most restaurants. Prices were reasonable. The place was a little hard to find using GPS, but a fun, real adventure in Winslow. I highly recommend it.

My friend and I were driving through the state and found this place on Yelp. After reading the reviews, we decided to try it. We were so glad we did. It isn't fancy, but the food is so delicious. I had the best chile relleno I've ever had. Then I order another one. Yum Yum Yum.

Wow. Great place. It's out there and worth the trip. Service and food were great. Even got a view of the runway and saw some Army Apaches take off. Would go back.

Love it! Fast, reasonable and oh so yummy. You can totally taste the home-cooked quality... Thank you Estella! Yes, it's a little hard to find (damn Apple Maps), but worth it. We'll hit it again!

Amongst the plethora of Mexican restaurant's, I'm so very happy I chose e & o kitchen! My family and our friend our good friend are from Salt Lake City. We decided to try out the place most off the beaten path, E & A certainly qualifies. The food, my goodness, we ordered a bit of everything. Torta's, tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, everything fresh and delicious. The condiment bar made everything a level better. Onions and cilantro, tomatillo avocado Cicero, salsa's of all heats and varieties. It was fantastic. The place got really busy mid meal and the awesome staff still managed to take good care of us. Thanks for the great meal!

E & O Kitchen is awesome! If you're in he area it's for sure a must. The food is super authentic, and made from scratch. The staff is super friendly and always attentive. The salsa is to die for, and if you get a chance to try the tamales..... DO! They are soooo good! I wish I lived closer, or they had another location here in the valley. It is a MUST do in Winslow!

TORTA! That is greatly the reason why I come here. I have tried other items on the menu, but they do not win my heart over like the pork torta. One does get the complimentary chips and salsa, but even better is the small salsa bar for a bit of variety. I prefer the tomatillo salsa to the red ones. One can order the torta as just the sandwich or as a plate with fries or rice/beans. I often alternate between the two. This torta is a bun made in-house slightly toasted to hold up the guacamole spread, chopped pork, pico de gallo and lettuce. It is that simple but good, but to make it better add somethings from the salsa bar. A healthy dose of chopped cilantro and onions and tomatillo salsa and I'm set! I have tried tortas at various places in the southwest, but they do not compare to this simplistic tasty delight. The staff and owner are nice and attentive, never had a bad seating there. Also we prefer to seat near the windows facing the airport runways, but hardly ever any planes are there. Nice and affordable place in Winslow, different than the other Mexican places in town.

Very comfortable friendly place to eat good food. Nothing pretentious about E&O but authentic Sonoran Mexican food made mostly from scratch. Very friendly wait staff. And you never know what kinds of aircraft might stop in at Winslow-Lindbergh regional airport.

Stopped in for dinner. It is not well marked, and would have been easy to miss. And that would have been a shame. VERY cordial waiter, and very good food. He gave us two complimentary glasses of horchata so we could see how good it was. And it was very good.

4 Stars for authentic southwestern mexican style grub. Love to fly here with students and get a good breakfast. Friendly service but kinda slow. But it's worth the wait and is fun to watch the planes or just the lonely view of good ole Winslow.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
