No kidding, this is hard find! GPS won't help you get to the door. Go til the very end of the road, and instead of giving up, turn left and go around the building with the little orange tower at the very end of the runway and there it magically appears. It's worth it! The creamy poblano chicken enchiladas were fantastic! Airport has sporadic use (military and firefighting) so very quiet. We were able to buy fresh corn and flout tortillas. Have a separate tortilla just for chips. So good!
Our lunch venture was a bit like a scene from breaking bad, towing our RV trailer out in to the desert, way off the beaten path in search of E and O Kitchen that Yelp had tipped us off to. Have to say, it was totally worth it! Definitely authentic Mexican food from this tiny restaurant sitting on the airport property. You can order your food, park next to the runway (literally right next to it), and watch little planes come and go. If you're ever traveling through Winslow, AZ, be sure to stop here! To find it, get on airport road and just keep driving until you can't drive any further: you'll end up smack in front of it!
Very good-food extremely nice staff. Hard to find keep driving to end of the road number screwed up. Worth the effort. Yum!!!!

Locally owned gem. From the moment we walked in it was wonderful. We were but a couple of weary travelers in need of damn fine Mexican food and Mi Pueblo definitely delivered! ig: 2guys1camper
Quaint little family ran restaurant. Traveling from out of state and was on the hunt for Mexican food. Yelp's map function has this restaurant at the opposite end of the road (be warned), they are across from the Best Western Hotel. Warm greeting and really, really good food! Fast service too! Thanks!
If you stop in Winslow eat here. It is a small family run restaurant. This kind of place is getting more difficult to find every day. The food is Home made from family receipes the green chili is great. Also order at least one chili relleno off the ala carte selections. It is a fresh grilled green chili with a simple egg batter, delicious. Easy to find north side of I40 across from the Best Western Exit 255.

What a great discovery in this small, rural community along I-10, east of Flagstaff. Okay, this is not out of this world pizza and the salad bar was pretty standard fare, but we were stoked to find decent food for a great price in an area with limited options. The restaurant was clean too and service was friendly.
I thought about giving this place four stars, but it has two things going for it: good pizza and great customer service. With limited options in Winslow, Captain Tony's is one of the better places to eat. We ordered a pizza but were actually tempted by the buffet ("Pizza buffet? No way...oh, wait, that looks like pretty fresh food"). The pizza was a pan style with a not terribly thick crust - crispy throughout with great tasting toppings. I didn't like the styrofoam cup for my drink, but serves us right for asking for to-go cups instead of the normal dining room cups. The carpet looks as worn as you'd expect in a game arcade/kid friendly restaurant, but the tables, chairs and various ledges were all clean and dust-free. The main dining room is separated from the noise-makers so it isn't an unpleasant experience for cranky adults. The staff gets two big thumbs up, and I'd definitely visit this place again when in Winslow.
If you're in Winslow and craving pizza, go here. Don't go to the local Pizza Hut. The service is consistently pleasant and friendly. The place is much cleaner than the local Pizza Hut. And the food always seems fresh. Great bottled beer selection too if that's your thing, local and afar microbrews.

My wife and I are in town from LA and stopped here for dinner as we had heard it was pretty good. It was MUCH better than that! First, our server Charlene. So Friendly! Her smile and her service were both 5 star. My wife had the fish & chips with sweet potato fries. Both were very good. The fish was fresh, and the tarter had good flavor. I'm a big fish & chip fan, but tonight I opted for the "Old Fashioned Tacos". Charlene said they were great, and she was right. They flat top the meat on the corn tortilla & crisp up the shell with a little oil, then sprinkle on some spice... That spice makes it sing! Next time I'm going to get a margarita with them! If you are driving through, or here all the time - eat here!
We visited the lounge while staying at the inn and Jenny was very friendly and funny! She took care of our drinks and appetizers without fail. I was very glad we decided to go there before we retired for the evening.
Ate here on our way through town. Checked yelp and decided this would be a kid friendly place to eat. The atmosphere had me a bit worried at first but the staff was friendly and the food was amazing! We had people to please from the age of 19 months to 66 years old and nobody was disappointed.

My husband and I were directed here by a local for lunch, as we were passing through town. We arrived around 3pm on a Thursday afternoon and it wasn't busy in the bar. After looking at the expansive menu, the Navajo Steak Sandwich really caught our eyes, so that it what we both ordered. The old waitress/bartender gave us high praise for our order and assured us that we had made the right choice. I'm thinking that the waitress/bartender is bat-sh*t crazy or something got lost in translation when we placed our order, but we both ended up with a dry, undressed steak sitting open-faced on toasted white Wonder bread - a far cry from the menu description of the Navajo Steak Sandwich. Being a card-carrying Native American myself, I'm pretty sure the Navajo would weep with what we were presented. First of all, I DO NOT EAT WHITE WONDER BREAD, second of all, WTF?!? It seemed that a ruckus may have ensued if we had tried to send out plates back, as several (what appeared-to-be locals) had arrived and proceeded to drink heavily and become somewhat boisterous. We were so confused and hungry at that point, we just hung our head in defeat, ate and left. The good things about this place: 1) the women's bathroom was clean and 2) a new joke was born, "it ain't no Navajo steak sandwich, but . . ."
Great food and always great service. Their green chili and chicken "Judge" is awesome!! I am a regular and always recommend Bojos to friends.
Ordered the Navajo taco special. It was small compared to others I have had. Place wasn't very busy, but we still got below average service. I have heard good things about their dinners, but my lunch was disappointing.

I spotted this place while cruising through Winslow on vacation, and as soon as I set foot inside, I immediately knew it was legit Mexican food, and not the overpriced corporate chain food that's passed off as Mexican. My carne asada burrito was excellent and well laden with meat, guac, cheese, and pico de gallo. The basics, really, but that's how I like them. The meat itself was very good, though not among the best I've ever had. The nachos were also fantastic and nearly overflowed the plate. The chips were decent, but the toppings really made the nachos memorable. Lots of meat, cheese, sour cream, guacamole on these bad boys, the kind of nachos that make you pull out a fork about halfway through. Given the massive serving sizes, we had to cart this stuff another 400 miles before finishing it, but that's fine by me. This isn't the best Mexican I've ever had, not even close, but it does make me look forward to eating in Winslow on my way to Phoenix. First time that's ever happened.
Wow... really great food. Amazing bean & cheese burrito.. best salsa ever!! Great service too.
The atmosphere and cleanliness of this place is abysmal. The food is great though. Get your food and get out!

The Huervos Rancheros were delicious! Service was great. A real find and worth stopping here to eat.
Pretty good breakfast, nice staff and fun, funky interior. We stopped to eat on our way from Santa Fe to LA on a road trip. Plenty of good food for the money. There are not a large number of options in a town this size so I can see why it's received pretty good reviews and would not hesitate to stop there again if we were in town and hungry.
We were traveling through on our way to Phoenix and happened to stop on $.99 Wednesday. We ordered some fried zucchini, mozzarella sticks, enchiladas, and more. It was all bland and very greasy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for any other reason than cheap food on a Wednesday. If it were any other day and I paid more than 5$, I would be very upset. Do not stop here.

Nothing really stood out here. Food was fine, nothing special -- although the free chips and salsa were a cut above. The salsa in particular seemed homemade, with chuncks of onion and stuff. They weren't cheap with refills, either. YUM! I had chicken fajitas and my sister had the chicken sopapilla. Everything was fine, but nothing to write home about. Ambiance was a little weird -- when we came in around 4pm on a Friday afternoon, there was one other table, and no music or anything playing. I would call the ambiance borderline grim, actually. But overall, it was fine. Clean, friendly service, reasonable prices.
Quite disappointed. When we first stopped here 2 years ago, I had great blue corn enchiladas and every visit since has been going down hill. No more blue corn enchiladas on the menu. The tortillas taste like the grocery store and the red chili sauce tastes like it came out of a can of tomato paste with a little cinnamon tossed in. We won't be coming here again. Sorry.
The previous reviews were very misleading.. I guess everyone has different tastes because this food was very bland, the taco shell tasted like old oil, the meat had no seasoning and a faint odor that hinted at spoiling meat.. But, the service was great and the beer hit the spot! Good luck on your visit!

Cute 1950s diner with great Mexican food and friendly service. Totally worth driving a few extra miles off I-40. Try the salsa!
Our party of 4 stopped not knowing we would find a jewel of a restaurant. We had various Mexican specialties and they were excellent! We saw that they had pies, 3 out of 4 of us ordered the apple pie - I abstained, I'm very fussy about apple pie, my mom made the best apple pie. I tasted my husband's piece and had him order a whole pie to go! Tastes just like my mom made . We live in Phoenix and travel for apple pie! 9/19/15 Just came back from Winslow, we had lunch (good) but we really don't go for lunch, we go for apple pie, the place must have been taken over by new owners, and they didn't keep the original pie maker! This pie has bad crust, looks like canned apples and no taste whatsoever. My first review was if a pie we had 2 1/2 years ago. Don't bother going, not for the apple pie.
I came here for the old-fashioned Route 66 American food. Their signature country fried steak, smothered in white gravy, filled that bill. Thus it met my expectations in food and decor. My wife had a Mexican dish and didn't like it at all.

I've decided to update my review of this establishment. I am giving them two stars, and that's being generous. I've generally enjoyed their food, but their customer service is always terrible. So, I go through the drive-thru to avoid them for the most part. Today, my partner and I decided to get some of their chicken for dinner. The woman working at the drive-thru window was rude, as usual. When we got home and opened the box of chicken, most of it was very skimpy. Hardly any actual chicken and mostly bones and dry skin. Ridiculous. Another issue that I have with this place, that I honestly didn't want to bring up, was that I believe there is a racial problem at this particular restaurant. They ONLY hire Native American employees, and are generally quite rude to non-Native American customers. I'm never the type to pull the "race card", but I feel it is appropriate here. VERY unsatisfied.
The food here is always fresh and hot. The Mac n Cheese is delicious. Always clean and prompt service. A regular stop in my home town.
Food poisoning. Currently blowing up the Love's travel station down the road. :/ should have guessed. Seemed unsanitary and thousands of flies inside the restaurant.
