I don't wish to sully the reputation of this restaurant (all of the reviews are gleaming), but I've really experienced better. I don't live in Williams so I can't compare this restaurant to others nearby, but I'm almost certain you can find better. When I was looking up places to grab lunch on yelp, this place had a five-star rating, so I really expected something great. Came here with a party of four. Service was mediocre, quite slow. Food took forever to come out. Two of our orders came out wrong (my fiance ended up with a burrito instead of a burger, and my cheese enchiladas had chicken in them...), our friend was also charged for items that she did not order. All of these mistakes were fixed, and mistakes are inevitable... but so many mistakes for one table? Come on. These mistakes added even more time onto the already slow service, something that's a pain when you're visiting from out of town and your time is limited. Food was standard diner-fare with a couple of tex-mex and Asian options, not bad for the price. I just felt we wasted so much time here waiting on service and our food to come out, for something that another diner could replicate quite rapidly.

We grabbed breakfast at the Grand Canyon Coffee before heading to the Grand Canyon (we stayed at Grand Canyon Hotel, around the corner). The staff was very attentive and friendly. Wifi is free. It's a great spot to get grounded and plan out the day or take care of other business while you wait (e.g. emails, postcard writing). I had a basic breakfast with hash brown potatoes, bacon, eggs, and toast. It was good, as expected, sort of like a Denny's or IHOP meal. Nothing fancy but substantial - Expect the basics. I did love that they had apple butter as a choice in the bowl of jellies. I've never seen that one before at a restaurant as a prepackaged choice. There's also a souvenir corner where we bought postcards. The post office is right around the corner as well if you need to drop them off!

Lovely atmosphere and amazingly tasteful breakfast!! We had Oatmeal, fruits, pancakes and selfmade cranberry-walnut bread! Portions are rich and well priced! Thank you!! Would love to come back one day!!

Thought since this place was frequented by the locals it would be great, but it was not. Waitress was crabby & the food was average. We won't be back.

A must see! Grand Canyon Coffee & Cafe, also known as "Anna's" to the locals, is full of flavor and local flair. This is where the locals eat, so that should tell you something about it. The waitress, Lisa, was so welcoming and friendly. She hugged most of the people as they came in. I made sure I got a hug before we left! All the wait staff and owner (Anna) have been friends for 20 years. It feels like a family atmosphere. The place is actually in an old brothel. The employees and owner have seen spirits many times and ghost hunters has visited and named it one of the most haunted places around...all friendly spirits though. Nothing but positive energy in this place. One of the coolest places I've been for sure!!!

Just wonderful. Stopped in here on my way to Vegas from Flagstaff. Waitstaff were kind and friendly and I decided on a sandwich - I forget the name but its similar to a Reuben. Onion rings on the side. The sandwich was fantastic, super filling but not too greasy. And the onion rings! I don't know what kind of batter they use but those were some SERIOUS rings. The place itself is well decorated and clean, and the music they play sets the mood well. I noticed the other patrons were mostly out-of-towners like me, but at least two regulars came in and were greeted with hugs by their waitresses. Always a good sign.

We cruised in with our five kids while in town for Bearizona. The mix of options is great with kids....all day breakfast, Mexican options, Chinese options and American fare. Two kids had cheeseburgers and onion rings, which they loved. My husband and I had breakfast for dinner....huevos rancheros and a breakfast sandwich. Everything was very good! The service was great, and it couldn't have been fun for them with five kids :) Definitely recommend this spot when cruising through Williams!

Only stopped here for a quick coffee on way to Grand Canyon, after walking the town of Williams. Liked Williams for it's Route 66 vibe and stores. Back to review, the coffee was fine, but the staff were friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms were very clean. Would stop here again to try the food based on the excellent service and friendly staff.

Good food and service and here is what will really keep us coming back, you can eat with your dog on the patio! Plus the owner says she is working on a doggy menu!...we didn't have our dog with us but normally she goes everywhere with us so kudos for this great idea! I had the Huevos Rancheros and hubby had the Canyon Burrito. ..both very good. ..cool interior with historical photos and unique items for sale. ..building used to house a brothel. ...tee shirts for sale read "Good girls are soon forgotten"...will be back

Reviews stated this is a local favorite, and we met a friendly few! The veggie omelet and sandwich has a lot of green veggies on them, always a bonus for healthier options! My oatmeal was hearty and good. The staff is the hallmark here: very friendly, service-oriented, and welcoming. 5 stars! Great find, with many items on the menu homemade. Read the history of the building; it is fascinating!

My family stopped on the way back from the Grand Canyon. Canyon Burrito, Chili Size, Chunky Cheese, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Rice... All delicious! And about the best beer battered onion rings ever! Nice people too.

Great Food. Locals eat here! I'm a local myself with no affiliation to anyone at the cafe and consider this the best cafe in Williams. Mainly American food with some Mexican. Only 5 minute walk from the Grand Canyon Railroad Hotel.

Loved it! The onion rings are amazing. Sweet and sour chicken and teriyaki chicken are both really good. Id go back for sure.

Homefries, homemade bread, corn beef hash, eggs over hard - but not tough...are all worth the drive. Get there early and enjoy a turnover plus the excellent service.

The clientle was friendly, but that is it this place had going for it. THe chili was inedible and I had to send it back. I requested mustard on my turkey club sandwich and had to ask for it a second time. My club came out a greasy soggy mess. Definitely a disappoint as we were looking for a good stop between Vegas and Sedona

We went there for brunch when we came here for visiting Grand Canyon. This place seems to be the only place to get brunch at Williams. It has 16 reviews and gets 4 stars. When we came to the restaurant, it was quite popular: many people were there eating, and chatting . I ordered the steak ham breakfast with two eggs and hash browns. The steak ham was good. I also asked to add a pancake. The pancake was just regular and was actually broken into three pieces. My wife had the breakfast burrito: it was especially good. The burrito was juicy and was even better than PAC at Salt Lake City.

My husband and I met our son at Anna's for lunch in May, on the way from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas. I ordered a Burger covered with Green chili with pork. I enjoyed it so much that I asked for the recipe! The owner came out of the kitchen to give it to me. We didn't try any of the yummy looking pastries, but next time we will go for breakfast!

We stopped here on our way back from the Grand Canyon, and it was definitely a solid choice for lunch. It was a bit after lunch time, so our service was very quick and the food was out fast. My favorite part was the fries, which were tasty. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because they didn't ask how we wanted our burgers cooked, and they came out with no pink in the middle.

Our food was served quickly. The prices are reasonable except the kids menu is a little higher than normal. The sweet potato waffle fries were fantastic! The tacos had a good kick and the salsa was delicious but would have liked some tortilla chips to go with the taco plate and kids bean burrito. My son had the Grand Canyon BLT, and said it was really good as well as the crispy tater tots. Overall a good experience!

Great place for breakfast. Very attentive staff and friendly. Breakfast was good and filling. The homemade bread was so good I got an order to go. Easy off the 40 Interstate. Would stop here again on my travels.

This was the best breakfast we had in Williams on our trip! It would have been a 5 star place had the chocolate chip pancakes not been burned. My husband and I really enjoyed our meals and the service as good too!

Breakfast sandwich is on point. So good! The woman next to us had an amazing looking pancake. The server was friendly and attentive, but we were there at 6am. Great little place for breakfast.

This is by far the best place to eat in Williams and a few other places for that matter. Everything has so much flavor and the staff treat you like family, especially Lisa. This place is the highlight of our road trips. Hope it stays open 4 ever!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
