I like this place. I brought my crew of workers here a few times and we all loved it. The owner is very nice and friendly. Her husband owns the BBQ place across the street. Try both do the restaurant thing very well. Shrimp tacos, carne asada both great. Good place for lunch or dinner.
Not much to say about Isabel's. Tasty food, good portion size, clean bathrooms & fabulous hostess/waitress Darlene. She was super attentive, helped us get the lay of the land since we are only in Wilcox @ the Sagebrush RV Park for the night until we take off for New Mexico in the morning, then on to the rest of the U.S. She also gave us the 411 on where to go & where NOT to go. The Mexican food here in AZ is very different than what you would find in CA, but we enjoyed it. We had the 3-way combo (chicken enchilada, taco & flauta) w/ charro beans (whole pinto wet w/ onions & peppers) & the chicken fajitas w/ refried beans. We also had a raspberry iced tea & horchata. Was delish & quick. Just like we like it. Thanks for the service w/ a smile Darlene!
Very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant in the tiny town of Willcox. We are Texans, so we know Tex-Mex. For some reason, they call burritos "burros" but otherwise, a fairly typical Tex-Mex menu. My daughter devoured her burro, and my younger daughter loved the chicken salad. I ordered the enchiladas with green sauce, which were delicious with corn tortillas. Hubby had the chimichanga, which was also very good. No margaritas, but a good beer selection. Check out this place if you are driving through!

Great place to stop when you're just driving through on a roadtrip because you can stand at the tasting bar, order food and not be sitting. I called ahead and they said they serve their tapas menu all day until they close at 5:30pm. The woman holding down the fort is a bit abrupt, like maybe she grew up on the East Coast or something but is understandable because she seems to be the only one here doing everything.
The wife and I drove from Phoenix to do some Willcox wine tasting. This one is good and the wine tasting girl (Ariana) was very polite and helpful.
This was our last stop of the day of wine tasting in Wilcox. This is a very large and sophisticated tasting room in comparison to the others, located on an old golf course. They are beautiful grounds, with picturesque vines as far as the eye can see. It is located near the 1-10 and there is plenty of parking. They have a large tasting room, gift shop and a tapas restaurant (one of the only food options in Wilcox). But since we picnicked earlier in the day, we just came for the wine. With the AZ Wine Travel Card ($20), we were able to get 50% off tastings. We also had our own glasses so we saved $2, although they give you the best glasses, large stemless glasses. I started tasting with whites, and enjoyed the Chardonnay. However, the real winner was the Sangiovese- we took home a few bottles. We also tasted the sparkling wine, noted as carbonated wine, which was light and pleasant. So we got a bottle of that too! Overall, one of the better stops in Wilcox.

Great store. Lots of homemade preserves, pickled veggies, fudge, syrup, salsa, etc... The apple cider is fantastic. And don't forget to grab a slice of Apple Pie at the counter! They have a fruit orchard and veggie farm a couple miles away that you can buy fresh produce and fruit from. Both are worth a visit! Prices are pretty moderate. Salsa and syrup was around $8. Half gallon of cider was $7. Big slice of apple pie with ice cream was $5.
I'm a tourist staying with friends in Sierra Vista and one day they decided to make the long drive to Apple Annie's based on recommendations from local friends. I was up for the adventure and tagged along. We first arrived at the Country Store. It was a nice little place with lots of honey, jams, salsa, etc. We would have tried a piece of the apple pie, but there was no one at the counter. They also had lots of cutsey gift stuff for sale. The bathrooms were clean. My friends had heard they had an actual restaurant somewhere. We asked at the store and they sent us out to the orchard. It was several miles away and we were in a parade of cars heading over there. The parking area was packed and children were running everywhere. There is no restaurant, but there was another store with the same goodies as the Country Store. There was also cider donuts for sale and homemade pumpkin or apple pie ice-cream. There was a hamburger stand that had quite a line. We got into the line to wait for the stand to open at 11:30. The door did open and the let one couple in. No one else. Then the couple came out the other side with rather generic looking hamburgers. We looked at the length of the line and how fast it was not moving and decided that we'd be better off driving back into town. We did try a small cup of their apple pie ice cream from the outdoor stand. The ice cream was softer than soft serve due to the heat, and it was running down the outside of our bowl. It was tasty, but not anything I would exclaim over. I also bought an apple cider donut and it was fairly good too. We all felt there was an after taste left in our mouth though. Not sure what that was about, but it was there. If you're a parent or grandparent and want to take the children apple picking, then this is the place to do it. They also had a corn maze according to the sign. We saw lots of families heading into the orchard with wagons and apple pickers. There were a few people who had brought their own picnic to set up at a picnic table. You could buy drinks in the store area and apparently the burger meal comes with a drink too. If you're a tourist who is looking for a place to stop along the way, I'd say skip the orchard and just make a pit stop at their Country store. You can buy apple or pumpkin bread, as well as their apple pie there too.
Not worth the drive. Other than picking produce, not much fun for anyone. We asked several employees what to do first. We didn't get much advice and the staff was mostly teenagers not interested in being helpful. We picked our produce and ended up leaving hungry since no one could tell us when the food was done. .. We missed it.

In the small town of Wilcox where only 3 fast food joints exist, Caro's Jr prevails! The old KFC location newly revamped from the floor up brings new and exciting cuisine to the people . The new appliances and new decor of Carl's Jr revamp the small street corner of this small town. Right off the freeway and in the Safeway parking lot, this location offers vast parking, fresh food and clean bathrooms! Be sure to stop in this new delight down south!
Crazy people, took 1 million years, the most expensive CJ in the world. Seriously it was $14 for a burger and fries. Service was very nice but it still deserves 1 star

I keep coming back to this McD's, thinking that they can't be consistently terrible. It is a McDonald's after all, right? Wrong. I've waited 20-30 minutes before on simple desserts and small meals before. The place is run very poorly and service is below par for the chain. Food has been okay, not much to complain about there. Just don't come here off the freeway thinking you can grab and go!
Close to the freeway if you're hitting the highway!
Did the drive thru for a cheeseburger. Very friendly fast service. Cheeseburger was extremely heavy on the mustard though.

I am writing this review throughout my meal. My first impressions was that this is just a gas station grub hub for I-10. Upon walking through the door I was aware that things are not as they seem. The initial service was good. It was a seat your self diner, and the staff noticed us the moment we walked in. They gave us menus and left us ample time to order. The bathrooms were as expected for a diner. Despite the gas station location the whole diner is very clean. We ordered and the staff was very kind. We were given chips and salsa. The chips were a tad salty, but only a few were like this. The salsa: very good. It is made fresh once a week. Spicy, but not too spicy. And has ample amount of tomatoes. All in all my burger was cooked to order. And the fires were pretty good. If you are going to this place expecting truck stop food you are underestimating. This places is awesome for a mid-trip lunch break, especially if you don't have a lot of time. They won't rush you, but they take care of business. I will stop here again if I make this trip again.
Went here on 11-15-14. HORRIBLE, even for a truck stop. The chips and salsa were all crumbled like we got the bottom of the bag. Salsa was in a ketchup bottle. You could tell the salad came out of a bag from the store. The fried chicken was decent and the mashed potatoes were instant with no flavoring at all. You could also tell the gravy came from a jar. Our waitress didnt even know what she was doing. Your supposed to memorize the menu before you start work and she had no clue about anything. Dont waste your money go anywhere else, mcdonalds is better than this.
Never really busy Good food if it's hot be it it's usually cold. Slow service - wait staff is in no hurry and constantly understaffed

Nice staff, but yuck, the guacamole we ordered for the chips had huge globs of mayonnaise in it. I ordered the guacamole salad, and same thing, maybe 70 percent mayonnaise and 30 percent avocado. It looked to me like food made by a prison chef who didn't have the budget for better ingredients. Then when I asked for grilled chicken on top of the guacamole salad I got this machine shredded chicken that looked old and tasted like sawdust. I'm finding better Mexican food in Brooklyn NY! Marissa
The taco salad with shredded beef was actually really good. It was loaded with veggies like olives, green onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce. Unlike some places which just throw lettuce in there and that's it. Service was on top of it, they refilled my drink as soon as I needed it. They greeted me when I came in. The salsa was decent, spicy, but nothing amazing. I would go back.
How can anyone give this restaurant any less than a full 5 stars? I eat there every time I go through Willcox, which is often. I have even tried the fried okra - pretty good. I want to try the fried pickles next time! Their combination plate with the chile relleno, taco and enchilada is an awesome value. But the best two things I like are the fact the place is spotlessly clean, and that they have a fresh salsa bar .... mmmm.

Break Shoppe

I mean they are part of a rv park in bfe az. How much can you really expect. It's cheap and they have pancakes.. They are friendly and the foods cheap. Do I think for one second the health inspector would keep it open at a glance? Not in a million years but hey we're in the middle of no where.
After staying the night the adjacent RV Park, we decided to give the Break Shoppe a try for breakfast and we are super glad we did! It was a long wait and the place wasn't super clean, but the food, serving sizes, and hospitality made up for all of that. This is a family run restaurant with a lady and her mom doing the cooking. The food was simply amazing. Best home cooked meal we have eaten at a restaurant ever! I ordered breakfast and was amazed at the portion sizes of everything and the deliciousness too. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was incredible, the home fries were delicious, the pancakes were great, and the homemade toast was out of this world good!! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. With our group of eight - six kids and my husband and I - there was not a single complaint, which is unheard of! We liked the food so much that we got two complete meals to take with us and cook the next couple nights, which were also delicious! The place is not clean, as there is an area in the corner that looks like my messy office, but it's not unsanitary. And the service was slow as it was just the owner at first. When her mom came things sped up a bit. They apologized repeatedly for the wait and gave us free drinks for the inconvenience. We didn't mind any of it, though, honestly, as it was reminiscent of going to dinner at an old friends house... An old friend who cooks really really well! So, if you're looking for hoity toity perfection, I'd recommend somewhere else. But, if you're looking for darn good food and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, give it a try! :)
Went here based on the last review and I'm sorry I did. The place was filthy dirty. Food was crappy and overpriced. Don't waste your time and money. I wish I could give a good review looks like a small family owned operation and I want to support these places but they really need to clean.
