Overpriced and average. $20 for a 16 inch and pepperoni??? Cmon! We've come to the conclusion that the reviewers here have never had a real pizza from up north or they are related to the owners. How could you possibly say that this place is better than brooklyn pizza? Unbelievable!! It's a shame Broadway Pizza is not near Vail. You can get a 18 inch pie with pepperoni that's a 100x more delicious and tastes like the stuff from the east coast for around $13.50.
Hands down the best Hawiian Pizza in Tucson!!! The fresh toppings along with amazing sauce is the reason why I can make that statement. Now mix very friendly people to take you order. Love the mom and pop feeling. And there is no way you can go wrong the their slice of pizza and a drink lunch special. My family loves this place!
We have been here so often that we are on a first name basis with the owners. As a matter of fact, we don't even have to mention our name. They can tell it's us ordering over the phone by the combination of ingredients we always order. The customer service is excellent from the ownership down to the front counter help. I've tried their humungous slices (a steal at $5.50 with a drink), their pies, calzones and sandwiches. I havn't tried their salads, but I don't usually buy salads when I go out to eat. My wife loves the calzones and they are almost obscenely large, lol. We usually get two meals out of one. Overall, I highly recommend AZ Pizza Company in Vail.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants. The pizza is wonderful. The restaurant itself is a bit noisy - but the food makes up for it. Service is always great. If you are going for dinner = suggest you get there before 5:00 p.m. - cause it gets real busy. The wait however is worth it.
Service was so bad, many people standing behind the bar but everyone was ignoring me or watching tv when I was trying to place an order to go so I walked out. Prices are high too. Place has a lot of customers only because it's out in a community with no other restaurants and it's 20 miles to the nearest grocery store or restaurant.
The worst italian food ever. Not only is the service terrible, slow, and rude but the red sauce on every dish seems like it's been thinned out with water to make it go farther. Their pizza crust was bland and tasteless. It's fitting, I guess, that they are inside of an old Circle-K store building because their food tastes about the same as what you find at a Circle-K.

Montgomery’s Grill and Saloon

Reviews:
Montgomery's anchors a tidy little strip mall in Vail, and has done a great job serving a diverse clientele of suburbanites, cowboys, bikers and city-fleeing hermits. The menu doesn't offer anything unexpected, and the sandwiches and steaks are unexceptional (although the burgers always have a sweet smoky flavor and grill stripes that always impress me). I've been disappointed by lukewarm fries before, but the other sides are slightly above afterthought in taste and appearance (yummy potato salad, creamy cole slaw). The service is excellent, attentive, and down-home. The wait staff call most regulars by name, yet are not so familiar that they become uncouth. The restrooms are almost opulent with heavy copper door handles and pounded copper sinks, which seems incongruous in a small town dinner joint, but Montgomery's takes pride in its singular role as the only show in town that's not fast food. It's worth the short drive from I-10 and consider driving back to town on Colossal Cave Road after a nice dinner here.
Montgomery's is a little off the beaten path but a really good deal if you find yourself in Vail, AZ. It's always happy hour here with $5 glasses of wine and a full bar. I tried the steak and for $13.99 you can't really beat the price for the quality. The sweet potato fries were perfection! I also saw the nachos and the plate was the size of the table. Overall really pleasant dining experience.
Great food at reasonable prices! Very casual atmosphere with a full bar and great happy hour deals. Their Colossal nachos are amazing!

Vail Steakhouse

This place serves solid steakhouse food at great prices, right along with those big steakhouse fries that you know you love. The decor is a little dated, but the food rocks. Steaks prepared just the way you ordered them, same with ribs, burgers, and other fare. Try the Black Forest Cake! The owners are German; it was on-point; and I've been to Germany many times to sample some of that stuff. All desserts in the house are home-made. Don't pass them up!
Ribeye n drink was $25. Ribeye was tasty, perfectly grilled and abt 1/4 fat. Mashed potatoes were outstanding, gravy ok. Salad was iceberg, green beans were canned, as was green chile (like Ortega mild, diced). Cowboy beans?!?! who r they kidding? I think it was Louizana hot sauce on boiled beans. Roll was sweet n tasty but not hot...not even warm. Waitresses were great...helpful, good about callbacks and refills, and looked after everyone. Owners appear to be Greek (not German!) and depend on the hospitality of the waitresses. Atmosphere campy 80s.i won't be going back.
Food was great!!! Breakfast was good, eggs bacon and hash browns. Good portion's. Yummy Service was great too. Recommend this place

Friendly, great food, huge portions, though you could wish for a cleaner environment - it's basically just not that kind of place. I always get the Pollo Asado, which seems to change a bit depending on what day you go. Sometimes there's sour cream in it, sometimes there isn't. I have no idea why. Too dry without it, though.
Bacon, egg, potato and cheese breakfast burrito. I was born and raised in Tucson. Moving away, the rest of the world doesn't know what a breakfast burrito is. The bacon is chopped in little cubes, the tortilla is one of the real ones (not those pillowy crap mission ones) and the eggs are pan scrambled in the bacon. I go as much as possible when I'm home.
We had a Nico's near our old house that was one of our favorite places to eat, so I was excited to find one fairly close to our new home. We stopped my one evening and were disappointed. My burrito was ok, but there was a lot of tough fatty pieces in it. My son's tacos were wet and soggy and very bland. I will not return to this location.

Always good on customer service even when I give them my crazy ideas that are not on the menu they come through. Nothing has even been wrong here!!
I can't say that anything about DQ is exciting, but this DQ isn't even...complete. It's like an express DQ with less than half of the menu items of a normal one. A great big meh goes out. At least I won't be stopping here every other day and gaining weight, because it's bad. Really bad. Beware of the chicken strips. You can double it up as a laxative. The staff isn't friendly, and I can't say anything good about it. Oh. And they lock the bathroom. This isn't the ghetto. It's vail.
Never have had a good experience and today was the icing on the cake. Just picked up 2 chicken baskets tonight. They forgot the gravy for both and they threw in a slice of bread, not toasted with a huge chunk of unmelted butter on it. Not appetizing at all. It wasn't even busy tonight, but as usual the wait in the drive thru was way too long. The management clearly doesn't care about the quality of food and service they provide to their customers.
