Great sandwich place. Jimmy John's uses good ingredients and great bread. This place is maybe a bit less friendly than the chain standard (which is super-friendly, greeting you as you enter and leave), but service was fast and decent. The sandwich was tasty as usual. Whether you order something simple or something with a bunch of ingredients on it (like the Italian Night Club) the quality of the meat and cheese is obvious - way better than other chain sandwich places.

Tucson is definitely not my cup 'o tea, but I have to say, they can boast having a great University (UofA), and I have delighted in some of the most pleasant dining experiences during both my daughters' time at the University. My daughters knew all the great eateries, and I enjoyed coming to visit and experiencing them myself. One such pleasant surprise was Jimmy John's. We just got it as take-out, in fact, they delivered it (by bicycle....I liked that). It was one helluva GREAT sub sandwich. It came in one size, and while I was full afterwards, I would have eaten 2.......or tried to.......because it was sooooooooo darn good. Between the wonderful bread, the mayo, the roast beef, turkey, lettuce and tomato, I don't know........it was just FANTASTIC. I loved it.

So I came here my first time not expecting much because it's just a plain ol' sandwich on some fancy french bread.. Boy, was I wrong! Somehow their simple concoction of roast beef, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a fresh roll of bread was able to convince me to return. I have dined inside twice now and ordered for their delivery service once. My work is located right on the border of their delivery zone but they made it happen for me! What great service [: They were prompt and my food tasted amazing!!!! I am excited to try out some of their other creations but for now I will stick to what I know is good.

When I used to live in Iowa I would go for Jimmy Johns all the time. So when I visited my brother at U of A, I was pumped to see it on campus! We ate here after the football game the other night around 11:30. The place was packed with students from the game and I immediately noticed how cool and friendly the staff was. They were really helpful and even recommended some sandwiches to my dad who had never been to Jimmy Johns before. I ordered the Hunters Club and it was finished being made as I reached the end of the counter to pick it up. I was surprised with how fast they were able to make my sandwich! The Hunters Club is what I always used to order and it was as good as I remember. The roast beef was sliced thin and had really great flavor. The other ingredients were very fresh. The bread was the best part though. It was slightly crispy on the outside and very soft on the inside. It never went soggy with the ingredients either. It was a very hot night and when you're hot the last thing you want to eat is something big and greasy. A sandwich at Jimmy Johns was exactly what I needed. They really need to open some of these places out in California. I bet they would be very popular. I'll definitely be coming back, next time I'm in Tucson.

I love Jimmy John's! Their sandwiches are pretty great -- nice, buttery French bread, a nice variety of vegetables, and good sauce. I always get the vegetarian sandwich with sauce (which is vinegar -- yum!). Only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because they are pretty cookie-cutter, and their sandwiches are overpriced for being a chain.

Soggy wet sandwiches: Basic sandwiches for alot of $$$, this place isnt on my list for return trips. Soggy wet sandwiches that are too salty, created by inept employees who were eating from the tray. Hair metal Music blasting doesn't add to the experience either. Positive reviews will probably be written by people who grew up eating chain food all their life.

I've always loved Jimmy John's and don't quite get the reviews calling it bland. I will admit to never having tried any of the meat sandwiches as I eat vegetarian only away from home. Their vegetarian sandwich is to die for in my opinion. I think the addition of sprouts and avocado makes the difference for me (two of my favorite things). Also, the bread is the absolute best of any chain sandwich place I've ever had! God, I have dreams about the bread that make me salivate. Who knows, maybe the meat sandwiches really do suck. But still....it's the same bread so how can it possibly be that bad??? Also I've never had bad service at any Jimmy John's location ever. In fact I love that they are so damn speedy.

I've heard a lot about this place so I finally decided to check it out because I saw a Jimmy John's app on my iPhone. I downloaded it and chose the "pick up service" function. I ordered a couple of sandwich meals. I ordered the BLT whick was really good! I also like that you can order a WhOLE pickle too or just half a spear if you want. I did have one complaint though. I've ordered through many different restuarants and when I am ready to pick up, everything is ready for me. When I went to pick up my food at Jimmy Johns, everything was ready....except the employee handed me two large EMPTY cups. I wouldn't of gone through all the trouble of ordering on my app if I wouldn've known that I was going to have to get my own drinks at the fountain machine. This really slowed me down and I was late back to my destination. Everything, even the drinks, should be ready to go when you order take out. That's all.

Another cookie cutter chain sandwich shop. The sandwiches lack character. Although they are consistently wrapped, which seems more important than content, you would be better off with a grocery store deli sandwich. Skip this place.

2.5 stars. The sandwiches are almost ok. It lacks flavor but if it is late at night and you absolutely need something to eat, this place is an option. They certainly aren't gourmet. They also sell day old bread for $.50

After a long swim in the pool at the U of A Rec Center, I was famished and new a Jimmy John's Vegetarian sandwich would do the trick. This is where they get -1 star. The parking is totally inconvenient. I know that it's on campus and their biggest customer base is walk-in traffice, but if you are driving there, parking is a total inconvenience. Their sandwiches are made freakishly fast. As an alternative to chips- may I suggest one of their giant dill pickles? You can get it cut in halves or quarters. Score! The bread was still a little warm and it was delicious- they had a good mix of music playing and the tables were clean. When I'm craving a good sandwich, I know Jimmy John's will not disappoint!

This jimmy johns totally closes early and that is just so not true to their name sake! Upon further thought, I do have to admit that their sandwiches do come fast so I boosted my review a few points. At the end of the day I would like to order more local or sandwiches where I can add something out of the ordinary on a whim.

I work down the street so I end up eating on Park/University way more than I care to admit. Jimmy John's is hands down the best sandwich shop in the area. I usually get the Italian night club. I have strayed a few times and those sandwiches were great but the Italian night club is my favorite The service is always friendly and the sandwiches are super fast. We have had them delivered a few times and that was also fast. I am a big fan of this location. Sidenote: I am kind of annoyed with the reviews below that say "just go to the shop around the street" without qualifying what they don't like about JJ. If you are going to write a review, at least say something about the establishment, don't just promote somewhere else.

The customer service is absolutely terrible. I ordered my food around 2am, I received a confirmation email as usual. However, I waited for 45 minutes and it seemed strange to have to wait for so long considering that I live on campus. So I called, 5 times, and every single time there was no answer. Now, it is closed and I am absolutely disgusted with the customer service. The hours are a lie. It is not from 11am to 3am & I especially do not appreciate false information.

Love Jimmy Johns, just not this location. Any other one would get a 5 stars but this one lacks in general customer service and sandwich quality. I make my orders online because interacting with them on the phone is a nightmare. They don't know how to wrap an unwich properly and the last two sandwiches I ordered were delivered to me squished. Ridiculous.

Sandwich was lacking meat on about a quarter of it. Way too much lettuce. And to top it off I parked a meter to go to this place and they would not break a dollar for meter $$ to eat at their restaurant.

Tried to order for delivery, no one answered the phone. Online says they close at 11PM but they are always out til 3AM. Fuck this shit, never again will I bother silvermine is actually open til 3am and they are gross but at least they don't fucking lie. If all Jimmy Johns cares about is fucking college kids then they can fucking have them I am done. Goddamn done FUCK YOU ASSHOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These guys are soooo fast! I work at the U of A and I usually order online for delivery and they get there within 5-10 minutes-it's amazing!! The bread is delicious and I get the Italian Night Club which is fabulous. Also, their jalapeno chips are out of this world. The delivery is free and their sandwiches are stuffed with meat and I don't feel like I'm munching on soggy bread.

So, I've just had a strange experience. I've been eating at Jimmy John's for years and find that I love their sandwiches. Doesn't matter if it's a slim, a J.J.B.L.T. or a giant club sandwich. The stuff is good. It's filling. It's consistent. And it leaves me feeling like I've done a good deed for the day - just by eating there. So I've heard about this Unwich, which is basically a JJ sandwich without the freshly baked bread. I know - why walk all the way down to Jimmy Johns in 100+ degree weather in the heart of the afternoon if you are just going to skimp on the bread? Is it not the bread - ahhh, fresh bread with a lovely yield and golden hue -- that draws us to this lovely establishment? But on this particular day, I wanted to try out the Unwich. I'd had one once before at a different location in town. That first time, I split it with a friend on a day when we each had an appetite, but found that it was that weird halo time between lunch and dinner. You don't want to eat too much because either dinner will be spoiled, or you'll find yourself raiding the fridge at 10 p.m. Today, an Unwich to myself - that's what I wanted. Staring up at the menu, I tried to decide which sandwich I would take, Unwich style. I opted for the ham and cheese Slim. I figured that would be an awesome lunch - and around $4. What a steal! I ordered my ham and cheese Slim, Unwich style, with onions, but the cashier gave me an instant look of confusion. He then looked at the menu. I had to look around for a second, wondering: "Did I accidently walk into a McDonald's? Why the weird look?" Turning back to me, he said: "That only comes with ham and cheese." In my mind: "Yeah. I know." He then said, and I'm paraphrasing a little: "You can get the No. 1 Pepe. It comes with the ham and cheese, but also lettuce, tomato and mayo. You can add onion and take off the lettuce, tomato or whatever you want." In my mind: "I just want a ham and cheese Slim, Unwich style, with onions." Then I noticed the price. The ham and cheese Slim is $3.75. OK - very nice modest price. The Pepe, however, is $4.75. So, why would I order the Pepe at nearly $5 pre-tax and have them remove the lettuce, tomato and mayo and add onion so that I can have what is the equivalent of a $3.75 Slim sandwich at $4.75. Oh! But with some onion! So a couple thin slices of onion now cost something like $1? And on top of that, those onion slices cost more than the lettuce, tomato and mayo combined? Mind. Blown. I just ordered the J.J.B.L.T. Unwich style and called it a day. But, still - at $5.19 for a slender wrap of lettuce, bacon, tomato and more lettuce, some sauce along with a few shavings of onion, what was I thinking? Seriously, do I need to start bringing my lunch to work more often? ...but I still love their bread!

Can't go wrong with Jimmy Johns! This franchise has the best bread and potato chips out of any other franchise sandwich sub place! The service is always super speedy, I often get my sub as I finish paying for my food. The deliver is also really quick. Definitely recommend this place for anytime you're hungry for a bomb sandwich and chips.
