Inexpensive and pleasant place for breakfast. Waitress was very nice and I enjoyed my fresh strawberry waffle. Friend had their breakfast special and enjoyed it. Opens at 5:30 AM. Good values and pleasant place.

Service was good. Do not get any of the hash meals. They are using an overwhelming herb that dominates the plate. This restaurant falls average on overall quality. Pancakes for instance are thin, not fluffy. Bacon is average as well.

Disgusting food and dishes. My husband had lipstick still on his coffee cup! Waitress did not deserve the tip. My husbands pie look like it had been licked..Eww! I am reporting them to the health department.

So the pictures of the food looked really good on their website, so mom and I decided to give them a try. We were seated right away by a very perky hostess (and this wasn't a bad thing as I'll get into) and then sat there at our table for about five, ten minutes before anyone took any notice of us-- well, any professional notice, that is... as in a we-are-the-customers-who-pay-your-paychecks- way. When the manager finally brought us coffee, there was no creamer with it and I like my coffee sweet and light. So another five minutes or so goes by and someone who's supposed to be our server-- Sheree R-- comes by, finally. I ask her for creamer and she brings it. The coffee isn't stellar, but it isn't like the Bisbee Breakfast Club coffee, which is beyond horrendous. It was just a bit tasteless and highway robbery when they charge $1.99. After bringing me the creamer, Sheree disappears. And disappears. To the point where mom and I are wondering what's the problem? It wasn't even 9:30 and they weren't busy. There was no excuse for Sheree to disappear for as long as she did. Finally *another* server comes by and asks if we've ordered and when she learned that we hadn't, she told us that she'd be right back. And wouldn't you know it, that's when Sheree finally decides to grace us with her presence. So we order. I will say this: the food came out fast and it was good. Perhaps things could have had more spice, because it was a bit bland, but over all, it was good. What was not good was the awful service we got. Sheree disappeared *again* and I guess she was too busy talking to someone because it was the hostess Michelle that got us our boxes and took our order for the piece of pie that we got. And when I accidentally knocked over the jam packets, Sheree saw me picking them up and walked right by! Didn't stop to help. In fact, she looked like she had a devil may care, 'I don't give a damn' attitude that certainly earned her no points in any book. Like I said, the food was good. Michelle was sweet, and Sheree...well, I have nothing good to say about her service. It's a toss-up on whether or not the food was actually good enough for us to waste the gas to go back.

Came to this place looking for breakfast, we stood in line with no seating host / hostess for 10 minutes before anyone seated us. Waitress took another 10 minutes to get our drink order. My wife found a dead gnat in her tea when it finally arrived. We got up to leave, and the waitress confronted us very rudely. Avoid this place at all costs.

First of all, the food was great, it really was. Secondly, I've basically (in years past) probably paid the electric bill on this very location, going there DAILY for breakfast and a lot of times for lunches and dinners. Now the current REALITY. The service is crap, because their CORPORATE POLICY is to NOT STAFF any location beyond the absolute minimum. This then creates the next reality. The staff are zombies, absolutely NO personality, NONE. Waitress, none. Manager, None. Hostess, none. Just going through the minimum-wage zombie motions while you're sitting around wondering when you'll get any actual service. The place just sucks out loud, it's CORPORATE GREED WORKING AT FULL SPEED. I say, go elsewhere and one day this place will be vacant-and if lucky-a Jerry Bob's or something will move in. Any Mom and Pop beats this crap. Enough is enough of the Corporate greed! As for this staff, they can retire to a street corner and spin one of those "Going out of Business" special signs, hey! Maybe even on this very place! One can only hope, I sure as hell am. The glory days of Coco's are long, long gone and these Owners will never, EVER allow it to be what it once was. Notice, there's only two left in Tucson from six in the 90s.

Cocos can be great (with that massive pie list how could I not be happy?!), but it can also be just ok. The service, as a fellow yelper pointed out, is very much dependent on what server you receive. The breakfast is great, however the lunch and dinner items are only satisfactory. Whenever my fiancée or my uncle order non breakfast items, they always leave disappointed that they paid that much for what they got. Breakfast time is really crowded, but later at night it's pretty peaceful. All the pie tastes fresh, I don't know if it really is but its dessert so I don't ask questions. If your feeling in the mood for some really good breakfast and some pie, I would recommend this spot, even though it is a little overpriced on some things. If your wanting lunch and dinner food, o would say you could count Cocos out.

I eat at Coco's on Oracle Rd. once in a while for a good, enjoyable meal. The food's always well prepared, and the staff friendly and attentive. I really like the pork platter they've been serving as part of their spring menu - hope they make it a permanent offering year round!

Came in on "Pi Day". Not very many people dining at 9:00pm, about 3 booths. We waited about 2 minutes to get seated. Once seated, 3 more tables/booths were seated. Everyone of them had a server greet them and given their drink orders. We waited 10 minutes before we finally left because no one gave us the time of day. We will not return.

2 stars = service depends on your waitress, menu reminds me of Denny's - too easy to completely overload on dessert for breakfast.

We were seated tonight and then no one came to our table for over 15 minutes. I mean no one. I finally had to go to the cash register in order to get someone's attention. We finally got some service. Pie selection was limited. You would think that they would stock up on pies on Pi day, afterall. Disappointed.

We tried Coco's for the first time today and we were very impressed. My husband had the corned beef hash, which was a home run, and I had the Pacific scramble, which was chocked full of delicious, well cooked vegetables. My buttermilk pancakes were big and fluffy. It was a ton of food! Lots of side items to choose from makes it an incredible value. We will definitely return and look forward to trying lunch and dinner. Previewing the menu, there are some really unique options, more than your usual diner fare. Thanks for a great meal and a new neighborhood favorite.

Update for the value-conscious diner: They have a 2 for $20 multiple-portion meal that was an amazing value. Not sure how long it will last. Gary got the prime rib. It was HUGE, lean and a really tasty cut. Even if it had been served in a fancy restaurant, it would've been well received. Gary's prime rib portion and quality was easily worth the whole price of our two dinners. I had a grilled fish (Pollack?); also very good. We both got dessert because one pie choice came with the 2 for $20 deal, and I had a coupon for "National Pie Day." Both pies were excellent! The dinner was a killer deal and very good quality. Hard to beat. Good going, Coco's!

I always go to this Coco's with family while in Tucson. I had the steak and salmon combo most recently. They also have delicious gluten free pancakes. Great fresh-baked pies, too!

Friendly, competent service even tho understaffed due to corporate changeover. Lots of menu options. You will get a good, filling dinner with pie for desert at a good price. This is where we go when we can't decide. It is reliably good, and we always think Why don't we come here more often?

We loved this restaurant. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. We loved it so much on our vacation that we went back twice. The first time we had a wonderful server named Hope, she was on top of our table of 8. She was very patient with our 4 kiddos, and she was quick with refills and our food. Our second time, unfortunately I don't remember our server's name, but she was just as quick and just as patient. We really were impressed with the food. They had wonderful options for adults and children. Our kiddos, ages 8, 10, 11, and 12, loved the food :) Take the chance and go!!

I got to eat dinner here twice while on in town on vacation. I wish i could have eaten here more because the food was excellent, prices moderate, and the folks that run this place are warm and friendly. The menu also offers several healthy dinner items for us health-conscious folks. Of course the pies are awesome too and should be your dessert if at all possible. This is a great place to eat if you want high quality food, casual atmosphere, and friendly service at a reasonable price - it is my "go to" restaurant in this category.

If you're ever eaten at a Perkins or Dennys, you know what Coco's is like. Their menu is a few pages of moderately priced options and contains all the standards for both breakfast and lunch: omelets, french toast, burgers, sandwiches. There's nothing stand-out at Coco's, just the standard fair. As for the taste of the food, it's also standard and unexciting. If you're expecting something better for your money, head somewhere else, but if you just want a crowd-pleasing breakfast or lunch for a family, head to Coco's.

First off, let me say that this isn't a fancy place and I began going here knowing full well would be a low-key casual diner-type restaurant. That being said, for what it is, I think it does it well. Service is always prompt, friendly and the food is consistently good. I go here with my friends to hang out in the evenings and it's of course nice to have a place that appears clean, feels safe and that offers breakfast all day. In fact I prefer it to other chains that might be comparable. Sometimes their food is even great, especially some of the items from their seasonal favorites menu (they had a brie burger that was delicious a few months ago). They also offer good deals and promotions fairly often, whether it's getting a free dessert with purchase of a certain meal or a cheap burger meal deal. Finally, this review would not be complete without mention of their pie selection, which has a great variety and for pretty cheap considering the taste. They usually have a $7 or $8 pie of the month, so my family sometimes picks these up for get togethers. Dining in of course you can order a slice of any of the ones they have available and they do hit the spot. My favorite is the banana cream but I love to try their seasonal pies as well. If you are looking for an inexpensive and super casual breakfast, lunch and dinner place, or you are just craving a slice of pie, give Coco's a try.

I can't tell you the last time I ate at a Coco's, but I am guessing it was sometime early in the Reagan administration. Now where I live, we have a similar restaurant chain named Perkin's, but Coco's has been absent in the Kansas City area for quite some time. While on vacation in Tucson, we were looking for a decent, sit-down place for breakfast (my daughter wanted pancakes) and we passed this place every day, so we decided to give it a go on a Monday morning. We got there a little after 7 AM and it was not busy. Coco's is a family-oriented diner, plain and simple. Those semi-circle booths and the swivel seat counter spots are a dead giveaway you are not going to be charged an arm-and-a-leg. They offer so many different options that, like Denny's, you'll be amazed at how many different combinations they can squeeze out of eggs, hashbrowns, toast, pancakes, and pork meat. We ordered some kids pancakes for our 4-year old (and they were plentiful), my wife had an egg-sausage-hashbrowns combo with some fruit, and I chose the buttermilk pancake combo. Our waitress was attentive and gave us good service. We noticed she used a computer tablet to take our order, so the moment she entered it, the order had already shown up in the kitchen and was being prepared. The breakfast was fine. I would prefer that places like this either not offer bacon or at least get something heartier than two thin fat strips, but other than that, the food was good, as were the service and the prices. We would not mind returning some time for a future visit, and would also not mind if Coco's rose to a greater presence once again, moving Denny's out of the way.

How do you totally mess up a club sandwich? Take a turkey and bacon sandwich, add another slice of bread and charge 8.99 for it. How do you add insult to injury of said sandwich? Serve it with cold french fries. This was the most bland, tasteless piece of garbage I have ever been served. The pickle spear was warmer than the fries, and had more flavor than the sandwich. The worst part was when the waitress tried to tell me that ham doesn't come on any club she ever had. I will give her a piece of advice: treat your customers like they are smarter than you, because they probably are. Big time fail coco's. Big time. One star for this outing, only because they took it off the bill.

My wife already wrote a review of this restaurant, so I will not repeat what she has already stated regarding the crummy service and well done prime rib (ordered medium rare). A complaint was sent to the corporate offices of Coco's regarding this visit, and we have heard nothing back from them at all. I'm not looking for a free meal, or a discount, because I wouldn't go back anyway. Only an acknowledgement from Cocos, or perhaps an apology. This probably explains why Cocos was not crowded, and why there is only 1 or 2 of them left in town.

Great place to grab breakfast and eat a slice of pie. Their menu is pretty extended but nobody can beat their cinnamon bun french toast.

We've stopped going to this Coco's. The food is good, but they never have enough staff working during dinner hour through the week. Our last (and final) visit there was about a month ago. There were only 2 servers, and one cook had called in sick leaving the manager to do the cooking. The servers seemed harried and were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We finally got water after waiting 10 minutes. After waiting another 30 minutes, we still didn't have our food. We finally walked out. This has happened to us 3 or 4 times over the past year. The staff always says the corporate offices won't allow the manager to bring in enough servers. When we called the corporate office to complain, they told us it was the store manager's responsibility to bring in enough help. Too much fingerpointing. Anyway, we will not ever return. It's too bad because the food really is pretty good if you don't mind watching grass grow while they prepare your meal.
