I've had 5 star experiences here and 1 star experiences. So I decided it's only fair to average the experiences. 5 star ones, some sandwiches are truly really really good. (Not so much their egg salad sandwich, I got a little queasy after eating it) That being said, you get what you pay for. These aren't cheap sandwiches. The really negative experiences include the online ordering process. They won't let you pay when you pick it up (which means you have to pay with credit card). Secondly, it gives you a window of when it will be ready which in theory sounds awesome, until you get there at that time and wait an extra 25 minutes (I waited 1 hour for 3 sandwiches, a couple premade sides, and some hot soup -_-) while watching at least a dozen people who ordered after I arrived, receive their food. I'm not exaggerating, this places gets busy for lunch, but it's a FREAKING SANDWICH SHOP. Instead of taking the blame for the problem, the employee working that day was...forgetful, kind of terrible at multitasking and put blame on the cooking staff telling me they put my order in the wrong place as if they were trying to hide it from her. She tried to give me my soup separately the first time, giving me no spoon or bag with it. When I asked for the rest of my order, she said "Oh, yeah, what was your name again?" The second time, she brought bags out without the soup. I asked where my soup was, and she suddenly realized and brought it back out, again, with NO BAG. "Oh, did you want a bag with that?" she asked. I was so afraid I'd have to sit there and wait for my order for another 15 minutes that I declined, stuffed it into one of the full bags I had, prayed it didn't spill on the way home. When I arrived home, I noticed all of my sandwiches were there but the moist carrot cake (which is really really good) I ordered wasn't there. I checked my online order, made sure I had indeed ordered it, and then called the shop. They said they'd put me on a list for getting one next time free of charge (Yea, right free of charge, you mean what I paid for, right?) or I could come back in. Having no desire to deal with that crap again, I asked for a refund on my card. I was routed to a corporate office to attempt to refund a 2.15 cent purchase. There has to be a better way to do this... All in all, that was a pretty miserable experience. Their sides are pretty crappy. The potato salad is way too mustardy with almost no bacon, the bow tie salad has globs of mayo, and the asian pasta salad is at best, decent. Maybe it's just the way THEY make it and not all of the locations do it, because I've heard great things about some of these sides from friends who live near other Baggin's.

It's sad that they have such terrible service! I love their sandwiches, but every time I order out they mess it up! Literally every. single. time. And they have terrible customer service about it, they could care less! They just shove a bunch of cookies in your bag and hope everything will be okay.

I wouldn't say I'm excited to eat at Baggin's when I'm visiting Oro Valley, but I'm certainly very happy to. The sandwiches are very good and reasonably priced. There is something awkward about the ordering process (maybe the area to order and the fountain being all in a cramped area), but that wouldn't stop me from going back.

Picked up lunch here on our way to a day of wine tasting in Sonoita. Love how they package and label all the separate lunches to make it easy for a picnic later. My daughters PB&J meal was perfect and very generous. My husband and i both enjoyed our sandwiches. I have ordered salads from here before when in town and they are very good. Price is right for what you get, service is always prompt and good with very sweet people working there.

I was in town across the street for business. For expediency sake I chose Baggin's. What a pleasent surprise. I ordered the philly cheesestake sandwich one day and the almost rueben the other. Both sandwiches were of decent size and great tasting. the Potato salad was a plus. The rum cake was so good, I took a few pieces home for the family. Try it you will like it.

We're relatively new to Arizona and, being a sandwich lover, I have been searching for a sandwich shop on par with some of my favorites in the Bay Area, California. I've been to several different Baggins locations and I"m absolutely in love with not only their sandwiches - but desserts as well - especially the carrot cake! YUM!!! Typically I have my favorite go-to sandwiches but have found the menu has so many items that I've really branched out and tried a lot of different things. All of them have been incredible. I hadn't heard about this place but glad we found them and love the food.

As we were headed to Subway we saw this place and decided to give it a shot. When it was all said and done we were extremely happy we decided to do so. We walked up to the counter and were greeted by a worker immediately. Many different sandwich options.our first visit I ordered the Philly steak in the seconds I ordered the Baggins grinder. Both came out very quickly and were excellenteach order comes with A warm baked cookie as well. When we were waiting for our sandwiches a worker also offered us cookies that had just came out of the oven. We continue to talk with her and she ended up coming outside later and offering us more cookies while we were finishing up. The personable touch like this is unmatched at many restaurants. The small gesture left us leaving with a smile on her face is ready to come back again (which we did). Can't wait to stop in again when I'm down in the Tucson area!

Best in Tucson! I love the new online ordering and the fact that they deliver. I always get the Unforgetable w/o bacon - this time I asked them to hold the mayo/ cream cheese to save a few calories. I honestly didn't miss it! Still a fantastic sandwich.

be aware that the horseradish here is potent. if you just want a mild horseradish kick ask them to go easy, this stuff is not deadly strong but it's a huge step hotter than arbys horsey sauce for example

I remember this place from when I lived in Tucson many years ago -- too many to count, but I was a college student without a lot of money and Baggins was a treat. They're not inexpensive, but that's to be expected due to the "Gourmet" tag on their sign, right? Anyway, over the years, I think I've had all of their sandwiches and have not found a bad one in the bunch. I particularly like the cheesesteak, Grinder (hot, of course), and Sundown Baggin's, which has turkey, cranberry sauce, and stuffing on it. Yeah, it sounds a little weird, but it is just like eating fresh leftovers from Thanksgiving -- just the thing you might need when you're living in the dorm at college and didn't have anywhere to cook a turkey. Their take on the tuna melt is interesting since it has jalapeños on it. Since I have been known to put pickles or olives in mine, this wasn't a stretch and added an interesting spiciness to the sandwich. I hear the deserts, particularly the rum cake, are great. Sadly, they have *always* been out of the Homemade Rum Cake whenever I visit. In fact, I'm not even sure it really exists... TIP: Try the spiced tea. You may need to put a little sugar in it to even it out a little. I find it pretty tasty and different from anything you'll find at your run-of-the-mill sandwich shops.

This place has great tasting sandwiches. They only have sandwiches, with the standard sides along with a few salads and soups. Don't come here thinking you are going to be getting a burger and fries because that aint gonna happen. What you will get is probably the best tasting sandwich you have ever had given to you in a brown paper sack. The sack always contains a chocolate chip cookie to finish off the meal. The salads are pretty good and so are the cakes. Inside and outside dining is available along with to go orders. Hands down this is my all-time favorite sandwich shop and I am posting my 100th Yelp review while writing this review. Give it a try. The prices are good for the quality of the sandwich they produce. You will not be disappointed. If you find yourself staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Oro Valley this place is just a walk across the parking lot past QT.

Back when my wife and I were thinking about moving to Oro Valley, this was the place that we went to mull over our decision. Sitting outside of Baggins, enjoying delicious sandwiches with the gorgeous view of the Catalina Mountains in our sights helped to seal the deal. Baggins is our go-to sandwich shop. This is the perfect stop just before or after a nice long hike in the Catalinas. They have a diverse menu of different sandwiches as well as a daily special. As others have mentioned, this is a little pricey for a sandwich shop but the quality of the meals and courtesy of the staff is second to none.

Baggin's... what do I say. Their sandwiches are fabulous, my personal favorite used to be the Cowboy until I tried the Anazasi Chicken. The menu reads that the chicken is seasoned with lemon, but wow, you bite into it and instantly you can taste the chicken. It is delicious and has a good flavor to it, you can actually taste the lemon and it is fresh! The provolone and green chili just bump it up that much more. I love this sandwich and it reminds me of all the great southwestern flavors in one bite. I love this sandwich shop and I will probably never go to another. Because I would feel like I was cheating on Baggin's.

Oh yeah! It's Baggins need I say more. Well it's Baggins in Oro Valley which makes it even better. My daughters and I like to come here after a hike at the nearby park. Super friendly, the expected tasty sandwiches that Baggins is known for. Always clean, fast, attentive, friendly staff. I have no problem with Subway or Quinzos really I don't but if you are going to have a sub why settle for the mundane when you can have Baggins???? They also have these text alerts that have freebies and specials and kid friendly deals so sign up for that too! Awesome view of the mountains from the patio and the food is always fresh. I am pretty sure the subs/sandwiches are so good because the people making them are happy and that happiness slips into the sandwiches/subs.

I've used this Baggins location for catering for two events in the last few months, and I can't imagine ever going anywhere else! Frank and the staff at this store provide excellent customer service, not to mention delicious food. This isn't your everyday boring sandwich shop - they have a creative menu with great flavor combinations and lots of choices. Frank even helped me choose a variety of sandwiches so we'd have something for everyone. Our group was very impressed with the quality and the presentation of the boxed lunches Baggins provided.

YUM! This is a great sandwich shop-- one of the best lunch stops in Oro Valley. The sandwiches come in a cute brown bag. Deli-style salads are offered as sides. It's a little pricier than the fast food sandwich shops, however, it works because they offer gourmet and unique sandwiches. Also, I strongly recommend the rum cake as takeout if you need a quick treat for a party.

What can I say??? We love this place!!! Great sandwiches, variety, breads, salads, sides, and of course - a cookie in your bag. Plus, Baggins has been around since I was about 8 years old ... and I love to support local businesses! Plus, plus - they have the BEST potato salad EVER! OMG ... I turned my company onto this place for work lunches and have also had them cater to us. The first time we did, I had guests in who were very well travelled ... I worried they'd be snobbish about "mere sandwiches" ... but wow were they impressed!!!! Marsha Stringer, the manager at this store, goes above and beyond. We once ordered 12 lunch boxes for a 7 a.m. pick up with less than 24 hours notice and it was no problem. Not only that, she'd thought of provisions we didn't even know we'd need! That's what I love ... that great philosphy of "The answer is Yes, what's the question?" My guests and executives were SO impressed! Fabulous food, great presentation, and they even keep large orders organized; deliveries are on time, and our delivery guy has a great sense of humor, as well as getting it right, and usually ... EARLY. . Try that Pizza Place. They even come retrieve the baskets for you if you can't return them ... really? AWESOME! The few times I've gone to their location to pick up an order, they are busy, but the food is always fresh, and my stuff is never squished up in the bag, so I love that! And, they have never messed up an order, so ... just sayin'. They even stop by my office periodically with updated menus, samples, treats, and 10% off coupons. Food this good AND discounts and special treatment? I just don't know why you'd go anywhere else?

YUM...YUM.....YUM! I had the california BLT (every once in awhile this vegetarian eats bacon...hehehe) and it was so tastey! The service is spot on and the food 2nd to none!

Delicious sandwiches, fast, efficient and friendly service, along with nice atmosphere make Baggins OV an awesome place to have a sandwich. They're also great to pick up before a hike, climb, or ride.

Oh yeah! It's Baggins need I say more. Well it's Baggins in Oro Valley which makes it even better. My daughters and I like to come here after a hike at the nearby park. Super friendly, the expected tasty sandwiches that Baggins is known for. Always clean, fast, attentive, friendly staff. I have no problem with Subway or Quinzos really I don't but if you are going to have a sub why settle for the mundane when you can have Baggins???? They also have these text alerts that have freebies and specials and kid friendly deals so sign up for that too! Awesome view of the mountains from the patio and the food is always fresh. I am pretty sure the subs/sandwiches are so good because the people making them are happy and that happiness slips into the sandwiches/subs.

I've used this Baggins location for catering for two events in the last few months, and I can't imagine ever going anywhere else! Frank and the staff at this store provide excellent customer service, not to mention delicious food. This isn't your everyday boring sandwich shop - they have a creative menu with great flavor combinations and lots of choices. Frank even helped me choose a variety of sandwiches so we'd have something for everyone. Our group was very impressed with the quality and the presentation of the boxed lunches Baggins provided.

YUM! This is a great sandwich shop-- one of the best lunch stops in Oro Valley. The sandwiches come in a cute brown bag. Deli-style salads are offered as sides. It's a little pricier than the fast food sandwich shops, however, it works because they offer gourmet and unique sandwiches. Also, I strongly recommend the rum cake as takeout if you need a quick treat for a party.

What can I say??? We love this place!!! Great sandwiches, variety, breads, salads, sides, and of course - a cookie in your bag. Plus, Baggins has been around since I was about 8 years old ... and I love to support local businesses! Plus, plus - they have the BEST potato salad EVER! OMG ... I turned my company onto this place for work lunches and have also had them cater to us. The first time we did, I had guests in who were very well travelled ... I worried they'd be snobbish about "mere sandwiches" ... but wow were they impressed!!!! Marsha Stringer, the manager at this store, goes above and beyond. We once ordered 12 lunch boxes for a 7 a.m. pick up with less than 24 hours notice and it was no problem. Not only that, she'd thought of provisions we didn't even know we'd need! That's what I love ... that great philosphy of "The answer is Yes, what's the question?" My guests and executives were SO impressed! Fabulous food, great presentation, and they even keep large orders organized; deliveries are on time, and our delivery guy has a great sense of humor, as well as getting it right, and usually ... EARLY. . Try that Pizza Place. They even come retrieve the baskets for you if you can't return them ... really? AWESOME! The few times I've gone to their location to pick up an order, they are busy, but the food is always fresh, and my stuff is never squished up in the bag, so I love that! And, they have never messed up an order, so ... just sayin'. They even stop by my office periodically with updated menus, samples, treats, and 10% off coupons. Food this good AND discounts and special treatment? I just don't know why you'd go anywhere else?
