Albuquerque Turkey and the Spice Iced Tea please! These are my two favorite items from the menu. The staff here at this location are always so nice and courteous. When I make my phone order on the way there it's always waiting for me and I'm in and out of there! A convenient location although parking can be challenging at times.

Yum! Bring it on Baggins! Talk about fresh, delicious, generous sandwiches for a good price. No more Subway while there is a Baggins in sight. I like the eclectic cute restaurants. My favorite is the Unforgettable. No cream cheese. Add mustard. Perfect 12 grain bread and tasty. I can share with a friend or take the other half for a snack later. Will definitely add chips next time. The coleslaw didn't have enough favor for me but the sun tea was good. Ended it all with my free chocolate chip cookie. What a perfect lunch.

Slow and overpriced! The staff was more concerned about their own conversation than customer needs

The sandwiches are not that bad...the service staff needs more training!?! I have the worst 'luck' when I go to the Speedway location. 2 months ago, the wife phone in an order and I arrived to pickup approx 15 minutes later. I paid for the order and waited...waited...35 minutes later...still waiting. I finally asked about my order and the lady said, "Oh...nobody told me you were here..." (She was the cashier I paid!!) She gives me the 3 sacks and forgets to give me the drinks! (I was so angry about blowing my entire lunch hour going there, was not going back for the drinks). On July 17, 2012, I decide to give Speedway another chance, we order and my wife's sandwich is promptly brought out ...(you know what happens next)...she's almost done eating and I have check on my order, the cashier says, "Uh, we will bring your order out together..." I point to my wife finishing her sandwich. He looks through several bags on the table and finds mine in the back. I ordered a hot grinder and it ended up being a cold sandwich. The place has a dozen people in the back and one cashier in the front. Gee...I paid $10 and get treated like it was my fault for not checking on my order sooner...never again.

I'm really baffled as to what has happened to this place. My family and I used to love it, and we could always depend on quality sandwiches, but now it's changed. My grinder I ordered a couple weeks ago was soggy and tasteless, my dad has ordered sandwiches where key condiments were missing-dressing, mayo, cream cheese, etc. It's sad that the manager at the Campbell location was desperately trying to get business back in with a knock off of the Starbucks treat receipt. Nearly harassing customers during their lunch to see if they heard about the promotion. Yes, I've heard, and I won't be back. Overpriced, out-dated.

Baggin's delivered an absolutely beautiful and delicious lunch for my event yesterday. In real wicker baskets with fresh flowers, lettuce and colored tissue paper, it was great to look at as well as wonderful to taste. Event the utensils were tied with a bit of raffia and arranged in a sweet box. They were on time, courteous, and filled my order for 20 people 1 1/2 hours before we needed to eat it.

I go back early and often! My work day comfort food, too many good things to list. Love the sides and not just sandwiches but good salads too. I like the Asian chicken salad for my health choice. Hot sandwiches can take a little longer if your in a hurry. The baskets are awesome too for groups, delivery, catering, every Tucsonan loves seeing that basket when they walk into a luncheon/meeting. You can be healthy or cheat. Some days they walk around with fresh out of oven cookies, though and tough to resist! Good stuff!

Calling the food served up at Baggin's "gourmet" is a bit of a stretch, but they do have some fairly tasty sandwiches (albeit a bit overpriced). I almost always get the Unforgettable Baggin's. What can I say, I am a sucker for both avocado and cream cheese. I am also a fan on the 12-grain bread used. The Anasazi Chicken sandwich is also a solid choice, as is the tomato basil soup. And the free cookie always hits the spot. This particular Baggin's location isn't my favorite in town, it's on the small side and the parking sucks.

Baggin's was the sandwich spot in Tucson when it arrived. The sandwiches were plentiful and full of flavor. My favorite was the sundowner. It was loaded with turkey, stuffing and cranberry. It was thanksgiving on a bun. It was a great fix until November. Not sure if the sandwich has changed or the options have become so many that Baggin's in no longer the draw it used to be. The bow tie pasta now tastes like something you can get at Whole Foods. I'm a little disappointed

  • Deb M.

I had not been to Baggins in many years but decided to try it again earlier this year. I got the Sundown Baggins delivered. The sandwich was pretty good but the quality of the turkey was not as good as I remembered it to be. The last 2 or 3 times I ordered, I requested no mayo because I really don't like it, It kind of grosses me out. Both times they put mayo on and I had to call the store and they had to send out another sandwich. It was on the receipt that I wanted NO MAYO (with a couple other alterations also) and they still messed it up. I can excuse the mistake once but twice in a row? Not sure I'll be going back

  • Paul R.

Good sandwiches but they have trouble getting the phone orders right. Their resolution to the problem is for you to drive all the way back to the store.

  • Chris H.

Very, very friendly service. Probably some of the best service I have ever received. I ordered the Sundown Baggins which has turkey, cranberry, and stuffing. This particular sandwich was just ok, nothing special. I don't believe it was worth the $11 I paid for the sandwich, cookie, chips, and drink though. I will return to try something else in the future, but it may be a while.

We specifically chose Baggins because we wanted to support a local business. We walked in at 4:35, and knowing they close at 5, we ordered and I asked the guy at the counter if having our food 'for here' was ok. He said "no problem". We sat down with our drinks and the manager woman came running over, "Is your order for here?", she demanded. "Yes" we said. "Well we close in 7 minutes" she shot back. Note: 7 minutes from when she said that would be 4:53. They close at FIVE O'CLOCK NOT 4:53! I said, "Are you telling us order needs to be 'to go'?" She did not answer me but turned away angrily. She brought our food to us, and was very pleasant (overly so). The person I was with said, "it would have been better if you just told us our order need to be 'to go'. They way you handled it made us very uncomfortable. "Well I don't know how!" She retorted, "All orders are bagged to go." (Then why was there so much discussion about it?!) The only thing worse in my book than being rude to a customer is deceitfully pretending you weren't. "I don't think we'll be back." I said. "Thank you so much! Have a nice day." She replied in a tone that only said FU. The $30 we spent would have been much better spent, and more appreciated, elsewhere. Going forward it will be.

Baggins is really yummy. And it's different enough from Beyond Bread (my absolute favorite sandwich place) that I don't feel guilty choosing it over them. I usually go for the Sundown Baggins, which is turkey with stuffing, cranberry sauce, lettuce and tomato, or the Anasazi Chicken which is lemon marinated chicken with green chiles mayo and cheese (can't remember the kind). Every time I go to Baggins, the staff is extremely friendly and I don't have to wait for my sandwich for very long. Also, they give you a chocolate chip cookie with every sandwich order so that's pretty sweet.

    (4)
  • Brittany T.

Very good sandwiches but a little over priced. I know thy give a good with it but I would prefer if they kept the cookie and lowered the price. The service was great and our order was ready within minutes.

Seriously love Baggins. I'm a Tucson native, and my parents brought us here when we were kids too. Love their service, the quality is top notch, and the food is amazing. Some complain on the lack of meat, but I feel for me it's the perfect amount. Did you see the part about a free cookie? yeah, grab a few extras and thank me later. No other place compares to the yummy that is Baggins!!

They deliver! When it's going to be one of those days and I have the ability to sneak away; Baggin's is just a call away. They also have an online ordering process, so you don't even have to call if you are by a computer. Baggin's makes hot and cold sandwiches, a variety of excellent salads in addition to a variety of sides( my supervisors favorite is the Chinese noodle salad!). In addition they offer a variety of chips, brownies, large cookies and carrot cake. Today after work, I drove to the store and I ordered their November sandwich of the month, the grilled chicken poblano sandwich and their classic "unforgettable" sandwich. Every order is high quality ingredients and it shows. The menu can be modified, so they can make a sandwich low carb, by converting it into a salad for you, with all the things you love in a nice container. Also with every order you get a single chocolate chip cookie hidden in your bag. Who doesn't like a little sweet treat to finish of your meal? I checked into one location through YELP and got a free dessert. Hurray! Another nice little perk, is they offer juice as a beverage option; so if you like Minute Maid juices they have them in a cute little dispenser machine. Its really a good offering for people who can't have caffeine. I grew up drinking gallons of sun tea, and they offer spiced or regular tea, which reminds me of what I lived on all summer as a kid. For Thanksgiving you can purchase bundt cakes for the holidays; carrot cake or rum cake which come in a nice container ready to impress co-workers, friends or family. If you dine in, more often than not, it's busy with a dozen tables n chairs and limited outdoor seating options. I can say that every visit of of my dozen or so visits, have always shown a impressively clean space with staff who are consistently friendly and courteous. On my last phone order, I got a call from Baggin's stating they had gotten slammed and my delivery order would take an extra 15 minutes longer than originally estimated; they wanted me to know immediately and called so I wouldn't think my order was forgotten or lost. Good to know in managing my time at work, and I appreciated the call. For a casual lunch, I recommend Baggin's Gourmet Sandwiches; our local Tucson treasure.

Was just driving through the neighborhood with a friend and we found this place because Choice's parking lot was full and I believe it was fate! I ordered the Veggie Sandwich with sprouts, tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, and their sauce. They also serve it with a cookie which gave my rating with one more star. They don't have the best cookie in the world...like paradise bakery. However, it was yummy. My friend had the Pastrami Panini and he said it was really good even without any sauce.

Tried this place for the first time and was really impressed! It has cute decorations inside and is really homey. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. They have a lot of really unique sandwiches that blow places like subway out of the water. I loved the grilled Hopi chicken sandwich, with chicken, avocado, bacon, tarragon, and mayo, on grilled sourdough. Can't wait to come back and try more things.

  • Jacqueline S.

I love their sandwiches, rum cake and their pesto pasta salad. I've never had a problem ordering here, or had them mess up an order. My one complaint would be the charge for delivery, because if you're ordering by yourself it's almost not worth it.

I had grandiose memories of Baggin's. I had considered planning a road trip to Tucson JUST for a Baggin's sandwich. I'm sad to say, I was forced to admit my sister was right! She warned me. The sandwich is fine. It's on par with any other semi-fast food/fast food sandwich place. The bread is soft and chewy. The meat portion is a bit skimpy. The ingredients are fresh. You get a small little chocolate chip cookie with your meal. The 3-star "A-OK" rating pretty much sums it up. I'm sure there's plenty of other reasons for a road trip to Tucson...

  • Amanda N.

Super average sandwiches. This place looks exactly like Gourmet Bagger in San Diego but the quality is not the same. The bread on my BLT was toasted so much that it tasted like a cracker. I question the quality of the bacon and the other ingredients. If I was in the mood for a sandwich I would choose Beyond Bread instead.

  • Corey D.

HOT! Seriously, it's my new favorite thing, the BEST way to go IMHO. I recently had the BBQ turkey with onions and sweet and hot peppers and I was really impressed. I've always thought that the price of sandwiches is a bit high, but after scarfing this sub I began to realize that they're using great ingredients and in my case an awesome sauce (mmmmm BBQ) so I didn't mind shelling out the eight bucks, and every 'wich comes with a cookie! I also enjoy the Sundown which is like Thanksgiving on bread. Know Before You Go: This cute little Baggin's is usually empty when I drive by. Show em some love and know there will probably always be a table if you eat in!

POSITIVES: + plethora of unique sandwich choices, you wont even know which one to have + always fully staffed (i swear i always see over 5 people working behind that small kitchen counter) so your sandwich is made so quick NEGATIVES: - plethora of unique sandwich choices, you wont even know which one to have, haha TRIED: + a whole bunch of different sandwiches i don't remember but all were good...only remember name of one called : Anasazi Chicken, would do again. COOL: ALL SANDWICHES COME WITH A COOKIE!

Thank you Baggin's keeping me from going hungry while in college! I first discovered Baggin's while visiting family friends in Tucson when I was ten. I had already eaten lunch, but sat with my friend after school while she snacked on a tasty looking sandwich with thick bread and heaping toppings. I never forgot that sandwich (which is why I'm a sandwichaholic). Fast forward 8 years and I found myself back in Tucson but this time as a student at U of A. I visited the mysterious Baggin's immediately and let me tell you this...the sandwich was just as good as it looked! So for four years, Baggin's was a strong front runner in my college cuisine rotation and mainly because the food is good and filling and extremely affordable. Each sandwich comes with a cookie -- great for those with a sweet tooth addiction! My favorite sandwich on the list is the Unforgettable Baggin's because it truly is just that; unforgettable. It's a classic turkey sandwich with cream cheese, turkey, tomato, avocado, sprouts and lettuce all placed within two fresh pieces of 12 grain wheat bread. I might make a drive to Tucson right now just to have one! So as I said before, thanks Baggin's for keeping this starving college student full and happy during college. I'll never forget you!

This year we did Thanksgiving at a friends' house so we had no leftovers : ( No worries! Baggin's to the rescue with their day-after-Thanksgiving style sandwich (called "The Sundown") filled with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. YUUUUUM!!! The bread is buttery-soft, and you can't beat the quality of ingredients. Leaps and Bounds ahead of Subway, for example. I also love how all of the sandwiches come with a small chocolate chip cookie! And the prices are so reasonable! These days you can barely even buy fast food for less than $10, so a sammy + cooke for $6.50 or $7 is quite a deal! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Get u some!

I've used this location to cater luncheons for my organization and have ordered lunch online for pickup all with positive experiences. Once they forgot the bottled water when I picked up my order but thats the most negative comment i have. When I've been in, service has been polite and quick. Boxed lunches for catering looked fabulous and impressed our guest speaker. Woo hoo :) Their cookies are also very yummy (buttery!).

    (4)
  • Stephanie H.

Kind of overpriced for a sandwich and for some reason all the bread tastes sweet to me. But I like their egg salad and vegetarian sandwiches. I also feel like if you don't call in your order, it takes like 10 minutes to get a sandwich. Maybe they're busy with catering and phone orders, I don't know.

In town for business and finding vegetarian food in the Tucson area was a bit of a challenge. For two days we drove by this place and I questioned the validity of the "Gourmet Sandwiches" claim. Thanks to everyone's Yelp reviews I learned the claim is substantiated. The food is great and I was super excited when I unexpectedly found a cookie in my to-go bag!

I really like Baggins. They are different than the common place, and the food is very good (pretty creative as well). I had a very good roast beef sandwich and the horseradish spread was wonderful.

  • Matt B.

Mmmmmmmmm...Baggins in the place to go if you're looking for Tucson's Best Sandwich (as evidenced by all of the "Best of" awards hanging on the walls). Most Baggins locations are small in size but big in flavor! My absolute favorite sandwich is the UNFORGETTABLE and the name doesn't lie folks! Turkey breast, cream cheese, sprouts, mayo, bacon, avocado, tomato, 12 grain bread...ahhhhh my mouth is watering. AND YOU MUST try the bowtie chicken pasta salad. SO STINKIN GOOD! Oh...and they give you a free cookie! Service depends on the location. I most frequently go to the Oro Valley location on north Oracle and the University location on Speedway. Oro Valley tends to have the better service, but I like them both. Seriously though...who cares about the service when the food is this good??

    (5)
  • Yolanda G.

Baggins how do I love thee, let me count the ways. Any sandwich on the menu is delicious. My personal favorite is the veggie. You can't go wrong with any selection. Awesome service as well.

Good sandwiches, good service. I like their cowboy sandwich (has bacon & avocado) on sub roll (-minus cheese & mayo yuk!)

    (4)
  • Roald M.

Sandwiches are small, bread is forgettable, ingredients scant and uninteresting, overpriced; just bad. If you're into this place you probably can't grasp the concept of making a sandwich is as easy as putting together things that taste good. The best thing anyone I know had to say about it was to "try the cookie," and that is a sad remark for a so-called gourmet sandwich spot. Not recommended unless desperate.

    (2)
  • Kinga H.

Perfect for picking up a sack lunch during your busy day or having it delivered, just be sure to get all your co-workers in on the action so no one misses out. These sandwiches are stuffed with delicious veggies, spreads, and meat (if that's your thing) between some tasty 12-grain bread, although they also have rye, sourdough, and rolls. The ingredients are fresh and you will realize that with each bite, no over processed, preservative filled options here. Baggin's focus is simple... fast, great tasting lunch options. And who can resist that yummy cookie included with every meal.

  • Debbi W.

The Unforgettable is unforgettable. I use to work across the street from a now closed Baggin's. The plan was to start at the top and work my way through the sandwich list. Well, after one bite of the Unforgettable the plan was scrapped. Over the years I've tried other Baggin's sandwiches but I still keep going back to my 1st love. I've been to this location several times and it's always Unforgettably fantastic.

I have heard that this place was the best Sandwich spot in town and was excited to finally try it. Well, i was totally disappointed. I would have to say that subway makes a better sandwich. The bread was mushy, and there was barely any meat in the sandwich. I ordered the Prime Baggins, and the roast beef was skimpy and not very tasty. You would think that if you were going to market your deli as a gourmet sandwich place you would at least use good meat. It was over priced for what you get. Putting cream cheese in your sandwich does not make it worth a few dollars more! Next time i will go to Bison Witches! They make a killer sandwich for about the some price and you leave there feeling like you got your moneys worth.

  • Sarah Z.

Lean fixin's. Rude cashier. When I noticed she overcharged me, she got mad at me. Whatever. When I asked for my receipt, you'd think I wanted her first born. Mediocre sandwich for just under $9. And unsanitary. I noticed her wipe her nose and then put her hand on the sandwiches after mine to cut them. Yuck! Tucson hurts for good sandwich places.

    (1)
  • X J.

Overpriced for poor quality. Quantity of choices supersede the quality of the sandwich. And why serve them in a bag if I'm going to eat on location!?? So wasteful!

  • john k.

Awesome sandwich! I'm new to Tucson area and found this place on Yelp. I got the veggie sandwich that came with lettuce, sprouts, tomato, avocado and cucumber ( u can opt for onion or cheese too if u want). The sandwich came with a small cookie and they have Pepsi products on tap (Root beer too). They also have sun tea, which excited me initially because I'm a big fan fo sweet tea ( no it's not the same if you just add sugar!) The staff were very friendly. There's not a lit if parking but there's a sign that says they have some in the back too. The location is ideal; a corner spot similar to any Starbucks. I would recommend this to anyone to eat in lieu of Subway- Baggins had much better/fresher ingredients!!!

  • Chris D.

the sundown is the most amazing sandwich. turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce... OMG if they weren't a teensy bit skimpy with the stuffing and cranberries, this would be 5 star rating :)

  • Dan G.

This is a really cool sandwich shop that's worth the drive off the freeway. I had the aptly named Unforgettable with turkey, cream cheese, sprouts and avocado. The flavors were amazing on the sandwich and they weren't skimpy with the sprouts which was nice. They also have home brewed iced tea in citrus and regular, both of which were very good. They have a really good drink selection overall which is good for beating the heat. The rum cake was also really good especially for a sandwich shop and hit the spot after those good sandwiches.

  • Brooke R.

I had always sent someone to bring me back sandwiches from here, but recently I actually got into my car and drove over here myself. The menu on the wall is a lot more colorful than the menu I'm used to reading online. The store is small but has a friendly atmosphere. When you walk in the girls behind the counter shout "HI" at you and when you leave they shout "BYE." My favorite sandwich is the Sundown, which is a turkey dinner smushed into a roll: turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing. In the hierarchy of central Tucson sandwich places, Baggin's falls fairly high.

    (3)
  • Elaine S.

Baggin's sandwiches are some of my favorite sandwiches because they give you the illusion that they're healthy, when in fact, it's all the not-so-healthy stuff that makes them so delicious. I'm fine with that. I love the real mayo, the cream cheese spread, the bacon, the egg salad, etc. Don't forget the soft chocolate chip cookie they include with every order. It tastes REAL, not chock-full of preservatives. I also love their sides: Chinese sesame noodles, the chicken bowtie salad, and Poore Brothers salt & vinegar chips. Overall, a wonderful sandwich place that keeps me coming back for more. So, you ask, "Well, why did they only get 3 stars?" Good question, and I actually think I'm being very generous. The answer: service. Their service has never been good. I've actually had one of my worst service experiences at this establishment. One of the ladies that works there actually made me FURIOUS. They had forgotten to give me a chicken bowtie salad that I ordered and paid for, and I realized this after I stepped out of the restaurant (I got take-out). So I go back in, tell them the situation, and since they gave me enough forks with my order, I told them there was no need for another one. The lady suddenly became VERY defensive and said nastily, "I was just doing what I ALWAYS do for customers!" I was completely understanding and grateful the entire time, and suddenly she becomes this nasty you-know-what! WOW. I didn't make a scene. I just left and called their corporate office when I got home. I had never been treated so disrespectfully in my life! I left a message, and I never got a call back. The next time I went in for sandwiches, I saw her again. Ulgh. So, long story long (I'm sorry; I was long-winded), go for the sandwiches, not for the service. Also, don't use their lemon wedges for your iced tea. They looked like they had been sitting around for a while, and I actually think someone squeezed lemon into their tea and threw it back in with the unused wedges. They need to stay on top of those things...and definitely improve their service.

Most of the time, Baggins is great! It's just, the last two times I've gotten sandwiches that have been a bit off. Today, I called ahead for a Club and asked for no mayo and to have it on sourdough bread. The employee didn't seem like he was really there mentally over the phone or in person. When I got home, it had both Mayo and it wasn't on Sourdough bread. The time before that, I got an Anasazi Chicken which can be quite good. That time, it was practically dripping in oil. Also, delivery took at least 1hr 15min when the cashier over the phone said they weren't busy. They'll still get my business -- just maybe not as often or at the same location. ------------------------------------------------- EDIT: All things are good again. :)

As a kid I thought anything that I ever saw, ate or heard in California was automatically better because I love and have always loved California. Here was the first place I ever had a sandwich that had sprouts in it. Since then I associate sprouts with super good hoity-toity sandwiches. I think this was what first made me love Baggins. I had never actually been inside of a Baggins. I just remember feeling happy whenever there was a dreaded office meeting and then looking forward to them because the boss would bring in Baggins. Yum. So, I don't know if all locations are like this, but I have to say that I was surprised at just how "southwest" this whole decor was. My grandma wouldn't been drooling here when she was going through the southwest phase in the 90's. But I digress. . . . . I love Baggins. I always go back to "The Unforgettable Baggins". First, because I am a U2 fan and second and most importantly because this sandwich is soooooooo good. 12 grain bread, mayo, cream cheese, turkey, bacon, sprouts (I hate avocado, so I get it without. Yes, yes, tell me about how that's the best part. I still hate it.) tomato and a big serving of yummy. Try one. Oh and they're having a deal where you can get 2 sandwiches of any kind and two drinks for $10.99. It's only after 4 pm on weekdays but all day on Saturday. My family of four ate for $20 and some change. Good deal!

The sandwiches are good and the Asian pasta salad is my favorite side. I really like the unforgettable or the egg salad sandwich. But unfortunately, I do not think the prices justify the size of the sandwich. They are too small for the price. I would go elsewhere if you can. They are a good stop if its convenient. The spiced iced tea is really good. Overall good sandwiches, but there are better choices in Tucson that won't leave you on an empty stomach.

Baggin's used to be my secret little sinful treat! lol You just can't beat a place that whips up your favorite sandwich and serves it up in a brown bag complete with a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie inside!! My fave: The Sundown--turkey, mayo, stuffing, and cranberry!! Might even be some lettuce in there but I can't recall...SOOOOO frickin' good. Mmmm. great place to grab something akin to healthy...and a good spot to get a sammie for a picnic or a day on the mall at U of A.

Our sandwiches were quite mediocre, maybe a step up from the deli counter sandwiches in grocery stores. Way overpriced in our book. Think typical chain restaurant.

Loved this place for lunch! I've had the Unforgettable, the Sundown and the California BLT. All were really delicious and came with a little cookie to hit the spot for something sweet for later! I'm generally not a fan of sandwiches, but when they taste like this, I'm a happy camper!

They really stuff their sandwiches at this location. You will have to sit down waiting for your food though because it does take awhile. You can never go wrong with the Unforgettable! I am not sure why but I feel like sometimes Baggins is confused between being a fast food place and being a nicer deli. I usually don't care, but it seems like this place uses tons of styrofoam too.
