Hannah is the best waitress! We were in Tombstone for the weekend and this is the only place I am going to write about. We went to several bars/restaurants and Hannah was a blessing. We all agreed that she was the best thing to happen as far as service on our trip and two of us women are in the restaurant industry. A big smile, immediate service and most of all- friendly! She took care of us as if we were the only ones there. Our drinks came immediately. We were starving after a long day riding and she started us with delicious bread and butter followed by our salads. I had the T-bone, my friends the ribeyes and prime rib which were cooked to perfection. Hannah was extremely busy and we weren't her only table- and then she was seated a party of about 12-14 next to us. Hannah, with the help of the rest of their wonderful staff made sure we wanted for nothing! Definitely will be back and it was a majority rule that our best experience dining was made possible by her. We will be back next year and will be asking for her! Highly recommend this restaurant for its ambiance, incredible food and wonderful staff! Thank you!

Ate here by recommendation of the locals for a good steak. As previously stated, the Depot is a few blocks away from the touristy Allen Street. There is the Depot Restaurant, and then the adjacent Johnny Ringo's Saloon next door. The Depot's atmosphere was odd, as each table is kind of enclosed by a 4 ft stuccoed orange wall, and there is a bunch of train station memorabilia on the walls. The food offerings were surprisingly broad here... At the Depot we ordered escargot for an appetizer just to see what they could do. Actually, thought it was decent - snails in garlic butter. We both ordered the Ribeye steak and ordered medium and medium rare. The steaks were cooked very nicely, and it is one big hunk of meat! I ordered a baked potato as a side, and I've come to realize...I am quite picky about my baked potato. Depot does it just right - with the skins being crispy and lightly salted. Side salad was standard fare, and other person got Baked Potato Soup which he commented was pretty tasty. The bread and butter they give there is also decent, and I was wondering if the butter was real, as it did taste as such. Asked the waitress, whose favorite response was "I don't know." So, I shall echo...I don't know. We were both stuffed after the dinner, and was very happy that we dined here. Had a few drinks at Johnny Ringo's next door. Their bar was very stocked and it seems like only the town of Tombstone would you find regular Coors. Definitely the Depot for good food in Tombstone!

The food was real good but the service was terrible. Waited 45 mins to get a refill and another beer. The place had three other tables seated. No excuse!

We noticed a lack of atmosphere the moment we stepped inside. Food was pretty average and service a little slow - despite only a handful of customers on a Sunday. The bar area had the most action (which isn't really saying much). The place needs to be updated and the and the menu severely streamlined - It has a great location and lots of potential.

Fall off the bone ribs, adult Mac n' cheese, great prime rib, and the best blue cheese dressing ever!!!. Attentive staff, and great decor! We like to come here when we visit tombstone. Good local place!

We took another RV trip to Tombstone, Arizona just for grins and giggles. It's a fun town and we've been several times, as had our trip mates and neighbors. The four of us had occasion to meet up with other friends, who were camping in nearby Bisbee. We decided to all have dinner together and selected Johnny Ringo's Bar and "The Depot" Steakhouse. Two names, each listed as separate venues, yet the they are the same facility - the bar is adjacent to the main dining room. Like most places in Tombstone, this place also stays with the old west theme - the restaurant's decor is all about old railways, old trains, and has some interesting artifacts, prints, and wall hangings. The bar is, well, a cowboy bar. And it features Karaoke.... Not always a plus. The offerings on the menu are plentiful. Escargot, burgers, steaks, prime rib, and Mexican food. Those that ordered the prime rib said it was delicious, as was the escargot and the lobster ceviche. The others were less enthusiastic. The one who ordered the pork chops said they we thin and over cooked. The one that ordered carne asada described it as "awful", "shoe leather", and tasteless. My Mexican combo plate was a mixed bag - the taco, good, the chili rellano, very good, the enchilda with green sauce, "meh", the rice good, the refried beans bland and flavorless. This is just an average eatery that does "okay" at most things, great at a few things, and poorly at a lot of things. Service was par for the course. Acceptable but not great. Prices too high for the overall quality of the food. For one ceviche appetizer, the carne asada dinner, a piña colada, a Mexican combo plate, and a Bud Light, our bill was $58, tip included. We could have had the same menu items at any really good Mexican place for about $20 less, with better quality food.

The food is okay and you won't find anything particularly healthy for you. It is mostly fried food and you can't get a salad without putting all kinds of dressing on it. I had chicken fritters and fries and my girlfriend had a Reuben sandwich, which was a bit oily, but had real corn beef. The service was subpar as our waitress rarely checked on us and my water had runout. The bar is a neat place and it was karaoke night. The locals were singing up old country music and classic rock'n roll. The people were very inviting and wanted us to croon a tune. The place was a lot of fun. You can also get a local beer there or a corporate one.

Went here by default (because all the other restaurants in town were overflowing). We had plenty of time to look at the menu since it took so long for them to take our drink order. Once our order was taken it took a very long time to get our food. While we waited for our food, we did get some chips and salsa. The chips were thick and fresh and the mild salsa was very tasty (this is why they got a second star). I had the beef Chimichanga. The beef tasted like roast beef stuffed in a Chimichanga. Once I added the left over salsa, the Chimichanga tasted much better. There was nothing I could do to make the refried beans and spanish rice taste better - they were awful. Another person in our group made the same comment about the refried beans. Two others in the group had the Country Fried Steak. They thought is was very good. Another in the group had the albondigas soup and thought it was very good except for the spanish rice. You get your choice of Coke and Pepsi products, but the Coke product comes in cans and the Pepsi products are free refills. They have a full bar and clean restrooms.

the food was decent but the service was terrible. my boyfriend and I went there a couple times to see if it would change, but ever time we went, it took a while to get a beer, then a menu, then to tell them we needed an order.... not our kind of place

Excellent food, I ordered the fajitas and they were excellent. They have a great selection of wines as well. In the evening the bar turns into a karioke lounge, our group had a ton of fun singing and drinking !!!

This is a couple blocks walk from the tourist part of Tombstone- but not a bad walk and as Americans we could always use the exercise, right? Started with the hot wings and Bleu cheese, which were decent but nothing to write home about. The Bleu cheese was interesting though- very mild and almost a sour cream aspect to it. For lunch we had the country fried steak- which is usually hit or miss everywhere- but was dead on. The other entree was the sliders with green chili. The meat had a gamey taste to it- not sure I'd order it again. All-in-all, not a bad meal, but forgettable.

We really liked this place! I had the prime rib and my daughter had the chicken strips. Positive: The prime rib was really good, the red mashed potatoes were AMAZING, they gave a discount because w were staying in the area, the waitress were friendly and prompt, the fried ice cream was different but very tasty, the atmosphere was very friendly and inviting Negative: kind of expensive I would go back!

We live in Tombstone and when we feel like a game of pool and a burger, we go to Johnny Ringo's. The hamburgers are really good. The bun is yummy, not your standard bun. The fries are pretty good too. Last time we went, my husband had the pizza for the first time. He said it was pretty good. Just a little heavy on the sauce though. I've also had the pineapple, coconut shrimp and it was good. The Mexican food there is sub-par and we've never ordered a steak, so can't comment on that. I do wish Johnny Ringo's would bring in some live music/bands. They have a great bar and plenty of room on the dance floor. They removed the pool table once to accommodate a one man band that was kind of ridiculous, but a live band with some dancing music - that I can see.

Tombstone is actually a cool place to be during Thanksgiving. Why? Johnny Ringos serves up a free Thanksgiving meal! And it's a real Thanksgiving feast complete with turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and so much more. It was actually quite delicious. Although there are no requirements, it's nice to bring a dessert as an offering. And you can wash it down with one of the bar's few microbrews.

If this wasn't Tombstone, it would be 2 stars or maybe 2.5, but oh well, that's what we have. The carne asada was dry and lame, the beans had tons of cheese but the rice was OK. The quesadilla was good and the albondigas soup was pretty fair. All in all, a barely OK place for dinner.

I went there thinking I was going to have a steak, but after a long weekend of unhealthy eating I ended up with the southwestern chicken sandwich. The sandwich was pretty good, a little too much chipotle mayo. My friend had a burger that he enjoyed and another had the Chicken Enchiladas in green sauce, not sure how he liked it but it didn't look very appetizing. The food I would give 3-stars, maybe the steaks that they are known for are better. I was disappointed that with all that bbq and steaks, that they didn't have a grilled chicken or bbq chicken meal. I asked and was suggested the bbq beef sandwich instead. Other than not understanding that I was really looking for chicken that night, the service was excellent. They were fast on our drinks and kept checking on us regularly. The food was slow but they explained that the restaurant went from mostly empty to mostly full all at the same time, so I am not knocking them down for that. In the 2-days we spent in Tombstone, we tried 3-restaurants in town, this one was the best, even if it is a block out of downtown Tombstone.

Pretty decent beer selection. Nice servers who look like normal, modern people. Free pool and popcorn if you're drinking. There's a smoking patio out back. Seems like only bar open til 2am.

In a place where reality is detached from the fantasy and everything is "airport" priced, the only place to have a decent meal is The Depot. About a two minute drive from "downtown" tombstone you have the chance to order a moderately priced undercooked chicken quesadilla and a gigantic portion of ribeye steak that was cooked medium rare even though we asked for medium well. The portions are more than adequate, but I would rather have small entrees of delicious food than a large amount of decency. Obviously this place isnt a fancy steakhouse, I came in with low expectations and those expectations were met. There really is no 5 star place to eat in Tombstone. The service was pretty much the only redeeming quality for this restaurant. And the people watching is pretty excellent as well. I felt like the senior citizen crowd really made me feel younger. Just beware of all the oxygen tanks and walkers that accompany those seniors, they do pose somewhat of a walking hazard as you try to make it to the bathroom. All in all, if I had to eat in tombstone over again, I would still eat here. But if there was a Chipotle 10 miles away, I would make that drive instead.

We got in the car yesterday and drove from San Diego into Tombstone to see a bit of history~ for our second night, we decided on something off the trail and it was great! The service was awesome! Ordered the huli huli 1/2 chicken with choice of 2 sides. Great chicken, my belly was full and I still had half my potato, and drumstick/plus leftover! Our waitress was a very sweet redheaded waitress, even if she did call me "ma'am" once too often, but I suppose that is polite~:)~ Would recommend to everyone. Kinda loud, but could have been the 4 kids running around on the other side of the restaurant and parents oblivious to the fact that other people are eating a meal...but oh well. Still GO HERE!

Awesome pizza! Good atmosphere that isn't the touristy area typical of Tombstone. Don't get me wrong, it has out of towners coming in by the namesake at first. Wanna grab a bite off the beaten Tombstone path, check it out!

I had no idea what to expect from the Depot Steakhouse. I went to just have meal away from the cowboys and the Earps. And my family and I were eating later then usual. So we went to the Depot because it looked super local and it is was the only place opened. And I was so glad we found this place. Great food, wonderful service and well everything else was perfect. I wish I could remember our waitress' name (she had cool tattoos) but she was half the fun of going there. And they had escargot on the menu. Now I love escargot and will have it whenever I can. I have had it mostly in French restaurants in France (first world problem I know) but I am happy to report the escargot in Tombstone was delicious. And my dad had the air dried steak and said it was better then the steak he had Ruth Chris' in San Francisco the week before. So if your in Tombstone, go to the Depot. Well worth it!

Superb service all around and excellent food for small town dining. I had a rib Eye steak that was cooked perfectly and then our family shared a slice of Apple Pie and Cheesecake.

Great food and nice people. We had the 8oz dryaged Sirloin. Sides were great. Beans, red mashed with gravy, onion rings, mac and cheese. Sirloin was delicious as is no steak sauce.

First visit to Tombstone and used reviews to select our dinner location. After perusing the menus at the other restaurants in town, I'd have to agree that this is probably your best choice for dinner unless you are looking for burgers or pizza. Stopped in the bar side for drinks before dinner. Very typical bar scene with a pool table and jukebox, and several TV's with sports on. It was very clean and spacious with good drinks at reasonable prices. The bartender was very good, remembering drink orders and whose tab was whose even though she was a bit swamped. Moved over to the restaurant side for dinner. We started with the escargots, which were a little out of place on the apps menu of mainly nachos, poppers, etc. However they were large and cooked nicely with a very good garlic butter sauce. My complaint on this was it seemed that the sauce was just poured over the snails instead of cooking the snails in the sauce. This resulted in the actual meat not being infused with the flavor of the sauce. Nice selection of entree's, wine selection was limited. I ordered the prime rib which was wonderful. Tender and flavorful with an au jus that was nicely seasoned with garlic and thyme. My husband ordered the carnitas which were hugely disappointing. They were dry and pan fried or something with very little verde sauce. The beans and rice that accompanied it were uninteresting. So overall we were hit and miss on our entrees but in seeing some of the other patrons dinners I'd say that you have a good chance of getting a nice meal here (just skip the carnitas). Good for Tombstone, but not great overall.

Must have been there on an extremely busy night. The wait for our meal was outrageously long. We waited an hour after we placed the ordered for our food. 3 of the four meals were judged good but mine the 4th, Coconut Shrimp, came to the table with basically raw breading. Since at this point we were late for a meeting I attempted to peel the breading off and eat the shrimp, bad mistake! To make a long story short, the managers solution was to give us a 10% discount. I would have loved to stay and have a very long discussion about customer service but as I said we were late so we left feeling upset and disappointed. I guess we will cross this place off our list of good places to go. Too bad I thought it held promise.

This place is a little bit aways from the Allen street strip of saloons, but it was worth the mini trip. We hung out on the Ringos side, and ordered some beer, pizza and wings. The wings came from the Steakhouse side, and the bartender was pretty reluctant to order them for us. It took a lot of convincing from the guys to finally have her agree to order them form the other side. Our bartender was definitely not as friendly as I had wished, and after roaming around 2 other saloons, consensus tells me that is the bartender attitude in Tombstone. There's a pool table near the bar area, so I played a few games of pool while we waited for our food to come. The wings came first, and they were REALLY good. I love wings, and I think it's pretty hard to find some good ones, but I was impressed by these. The pizza was also pretty good. There's nothing spectacular about this place, but I wouldn't mind taking another trip down there.
