We stopped by tonight and met Doc and his father. Awesome people and awesome gelato/fruit pops. The sea salt Carmel is the best I've had, anywhere!

Wonderfully flavored ice cream! This is not a real retail location but more of a manufacturing location where he sells some ice cReam and pops to the public. Doc is such a nice man, and the sea salt caramel pop is out of this world! Sure it is going to cost more than the bargain basement stuff you could get at the grocery store but that stuff is full of chemicals and Docs tastes the way ice cream should taste. Besides you shouldn't be eating this stuff all the time, so when you do have it, do it right!

Doc's caught our eye at the downtown Phoenix Public Market. Oh yummy luscious is his Piña Colada sorbet ( so smooth) and pineapple green tea gelato (super refreshing)! But what made my knees hit the ground, was the oh so decadent Tequila Sunrise :) Lots and lots of creative flavors and quality ingredients and not to mention the nicest bunch of folks too!! Unfortunately we are not close to him in Tempe...so hoping he is at the market when go there!

Got to meet Doc the owner when he stayed open later so my pregnant wife could fulfill her dessert craving. The popsicles were amazing and he even let us sample some fresh gelato he just made. This place is a hidden gem that I'm glad we have found. It's also great to support a local small business.

Amazing frozen deliciousness by an amazingly friendly man! It's a small and unassuming place now, but I hope they grow to resell more places. The strawberry and raspberry pops have the textures of the fruit. Oh, and the coconut lemongrass tastes like an island vacation on a stick.

My husband and I decided to stop by because of the Yelp reviews. The reviews were spot on. They have many awesome flavors for sorbets and gelatos like mango/habanero, strawberry/champagne and sea salt caramel. (We are on our way to trying them all) It's a super feel good place ran by great people. It is now on our favorites list.

If you are an ice cream aficionado you will absolutely love Doc's! The gourmet frozen fruit bar flavors will satisfy any gourmet dessert desire. How about Mango Habanero? or Coconut Lemongrass Lime? or Blueberry Pomegranate? or my new favorite, Blood Orange? There are so many melt-on-your-soul flavors to choose from the only problem you will have is deciding . . . . deciding which one is next! Doc's ice creams are made with locally produced and sourced ingredients . . . . with no dyes, no colorings, no GMO's, and are all handcrafted frozen gelatos, sorbets, sherberts, custards and artisan ice creams. A LOCAL TREASURE . . . . right here in our little neck of the planet!

Amazing ice cream hidden in a simple office complex. I'll have to try all of the flavors to give you more info, but I'm on the case! So far I'll say I definitely recommend these: - Chocolate Gelato - Strawberry Jamaica & Lavender - Chai Tea

Fantastic Popsicles! Looks like all products are made on site (although the shop can be a bit hard to find in the plaza). Tried the Peach Bellini and Coconut Lemongrass. You can definitely taste the fresh peaches in there! The coconut was super smooth with a hint of ginger. I wonder if the lemongrass were switched to lime... It might taste like key lime pie! Which I'm sure would also be amazing. Cant wait to go back to try the chocolate and mocha. : ) I'm hoping they open their gelato bar soon.

We found this place through Yelp at the beginning of last week, and have already been back q second time ten days later! Amazingly good frozen treats!! You can tell how passionate Doc is about his product, and how much care goes into the selection of ingredients (often single origin and as unprocessed as possible) and thier preparation. We will be coming here many, MANY more times!!

We took the whole family in to buy some gelato and sorbet pops for dessert. We took a whole assortment home to stock the freezer. Tonight we tried the chocolate gelato, raspberry sorbet and the blueberry mojito sorbet. All were awesome. The chocolate tastes like a fudgesicle. The raspberry was intense and sweet. My favorite was the blueberry mojito. The mint was so refreshing. I can't wait to try the watermelon and the peach Bellini. Stop by and take some home. You won't regret it.

I have to confess... I had a blackberry cabernet popsicle and loved it. THEN I went back and had a coffee one. I loved it too. I really don't even feel guilty about have 2 popsicles. TOTALLY worth it. Fun company, nice family, delicious product.

I don't even know where to start, but this place is awesome! I never had any real ice-cream before this place. The ice-cream is organic and taste so good, I got the mango habanero and it tasted better than I thought it would. It tasted like a real ice-cream! Too bad I am from Phoenix or else I would come by almost every week especially during summer! If you haven't tried this place yet, definitely do try!

My standard for ice cream is set to an all time high because of Doc's ice cream! A friend and I visited Doc's while on a road trip to Houston, and it has become one of our highlights! Meeting Doc and his father was a great experience and learning their story. Doc was extremely hospitable when we arrived and we had a great conversation about his genuine passion for ice cream, the process, and the ice cream itself! Arriving at Doc's, we did not expect to be greeted with so many flavors of popsicles, going from your basic chocolate to Coconut Lemongrass to Tequila Sunrise. Doc made me a believer when he confidently gave me Coconut Lemongrass even though I am not a big fan of coconut. It was one of the best ice cream flavor's I have tasted! On an equal level of amazing was the Mascarpone gelato that he had us taste, which was everything good in the world packed into gelato. His ice cream is delicious because it is completely natural, using the BEST ingredients he could find. Even his sugar is taken straight from the cane, making it genuinely sweet. One of the greatest things is his bars are mostly fruit with minimal water, which means they hardly melt! So perfect for the Arizona heat; you can take your time eating your ice cream without fear it will drip on you. (Although I can't imagine eating them slowly when they are so delicious you just want to finish it quickly and get another one.) With all that said, take the time to know Doc's, be inspired by his story, and enjoy some fine, delicious ice cream.

Amazing. Standout flavors we had were the coconut lemongrass, the sea salt caramel and the mango with passion fruit. By the final bite, all of us had decided that it was the best popsicle we had ever had. Can't really describe the wonderful blend of flavors except to say that they are perfectly balanced and each bite tastes better than the last. This place is a must try. We are hooked!

Doc's gelato is delicious and he is a great host and an inspiring businessman. Be prepared: somehow no previous review has mentioned that Doc's is located in a swank industrial park, and that there is no retail signage to draw your attention as you enter the parking lot. Enter Doc's and you find yourself not in an ice cream parlor but in a very clean and well organized manufacturing facility. Doc Brown greeted us and told us his products are available in large sheet pans for the restaurant market, in big retail containers, and as cello-wrapped pops. In a nicely designed freezer case we found a compelling variety of flavors and chose ones we loved: salted caramel, hazelnut and chocolate. The flavors and mouthfeel were intense and even a relatively small portion was satisfying. Around us were evidence of the personal approach Doc takes to his business: a crate of locally grown grapefruits given to him by friends to turn into sorbet; a freezer of gorgeous, huge strawberries already trimmed and prepped for batches of strawberry and strawberry champagne sorbet. The term artisan is of course abused to the point of meaninglessness but hearing about Doc's approach to his product I feel he is justified in using the word. He is dedicated to improving his craft after many years of study. Worth a special trip!

After reading about Doc's in the New Times, I stopped by the Phoenix Public Market on my way home to sample a coconut lemongrass lime popsicle. Wow! The flavor was amazing! Not overpowering, but not weak either. Plus, it's made with coconut milk for all you lactose-intolerant people. I definitely want to try more flavors, so I guess I'll have to go by their shop to try more. :)

It is rare that I ever get excited about a dessert item, but this place has earned the excitement. I recently discovered Doc's and every trip I get to try a different amazing flavor that this place offers. It cannot be understated that Doc's starts with high quality ingredients to create a sorbet or gelato that tastes like the best possible version of what it describes. The blackberry cabernet sorbet is miraculous and tastes like the perfect marriage of the flavors and not just frozen sugar on a stick.

Doc's is fairly new to Phoenix and offers wholesale to restaurants, stores, etc. and has a retail space that they are turning into a cafe soon. Nicest people I've met in a while. Impeccably clean and well organized. Interesting flavors that are all made much healthier than your normal comparable products. They offer gelato and sorbet and a few other things. Flavors ranges from normal to interesting and creative-all are superb!

We were visiting from New York and stopped at Doc's, their popsicles are AMAZING and Doc himself is a great humble individual. Looking forward to coming back to try the rest of their flavors. 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, perfect 10!
