owners are great. location terrific. breakfast was fabulous. sheets , mattress and pillows splendid. views to die for, hiking right in the backyard (coconino national forrest) Very clean. very comfortable. NO COMPLAINTS HERE. Stayed here in March, the weather was perfection. We stayed in the cowboy hideaway suite, with our own kitchen, living room and fireplace. What a fantastic place to stay in sedona (in the NON TOURIST AREA but a short drive from it)

This was our second visit to the Cozy Cactus, and we are in the process of booking our next visit . Being with Mark and Carrie at the Cozy Cactus is just like coming home to old friends you feel like you've known forever ! The warmth and generosity of these hosts is something you will quickly appreciate and become hooked on. Whether it's their presence at the campfires over a bottle of wine in the evenings , or the way they scamper about to serve you their creative, unbelieveably generous and yummy 5 star breakfasts in the morning you will never want to leave this place! It feels very much like the home you wish you had ! The towering vortex Bell Rock seems to embrace you as you take in all of Sedona experience right there on the premises . Homemade snacks and popcorn, tea, coffee and hot chocolate made available in your cozy private room! We love this place and can't wait to come back !

Stayed here last June. A great location 10 minutes or so out of Sedona proper and a million miles away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic location with the national forest as their back yard with a view of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. Rode my mountain bike in the morning right out the front door and across the street to all the trails. Rooms are top notch. The patio out back with the view is where the breakfast is served. And what a great meal, juices, muffins with a delicious and different breakfast daily. Plenty to last the day till the afternoon. Mark and Carrie have all the scoop about the area and could not be better hosts.

Just returned from staying at Cozy Cactus Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights and it was wonderful! A home away from home! We stayed at the Vortex Room and the room was elegantly decorated, warm and inviting, COMFORTABLE, clean and everything that is listed on the website is there and much more. Mark and Carrie, the owners of this beautiful property were so friendly, charming and great hosts! You couldn't ask for a better location for Sedona area - near shops, restaurants and trails; and, the views were amazing! The property itself is beautiful - the back yard is so comfortable and they decorated it match the natural birds and animals that gently stop by to drink from the birdhouses or drinking plates on the ground. Mark and Carrie accept all who visit, from the many different people that stay with them to the small creatures that come to visit the backyard. Every part of the stay was enjoyable and the service was generous - I want to point out that Mark and Carrie went out of there way to rearrange a breakfast time for us when we told them that we couldn't make one of the 830 am breakfast time. Carrie, without hesitation, asked the others that were staying there if it was okay to change breakfast time half-hour earlier! That was such an awesome display of customer service - and, that is what you will get if you stay at Cozy Cactus: genuine warmth, responsive to your needs and wants and personal touch - i can go on and on.... :)

This is by far THE BEST b&b's we've ever experienced. My husband and I wanted to stay somewhere to get the full Sedona feel and thank goodness we found the right place that made us entrenched in the Sedona land. Mark and Carrie have the most beautiful cozy bed and breakfast with a southwest flair. Newly remodeled and renovated, our room was literally looking out at Bell Rock one of the most popular sights in Sedona. Every nook and cranny was ultra clean, ultra organized, ultra comfortable and ultra everything! The amenities were a major perk, 3 course breakfast which was done so well with fresh ingredients and top notch service. Steps away from a trail, literally! Fast Wi-Fi, snacks in the house, cold water bottles, umbrellas, ice chests, beach chairs, and easy parking. Mark and Carrie definitely know how to run a bed and breakfast. We can't wait to come back to our special place.

We could not have had a better experience. Carrie and Mark are awesome innkeepers! We felt welcomed and informed. It was our first time in Sedona and staying at a B&B. The room was great, the views from the property are amazing, the trail access is in the back yard, the breakfast was delicious, and all the little touches are meaningful and add to the overall experience. We cannot wait to return to the Cozy Cactus! I don't think I could ever stay at a hotel after this.

At the conclusion of our wonderful vacation to Sedona, we told Mark and Carrie - the owners of Cozy Cactus where we stayed for three nights - that we will see them again in the near future. Every time we return to Sedona, we'll be staying at the Cozy Cactus. Their hospitality was second to none, and we found out why this place consistently get 5-star reviews. We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Mark who showed us the room, which came complete with plenty of holiday decorations (including 'Merry Christmas' actually *painted* on the wall - a nice touch). Snacks in the room were provided, as well as a full kitchen (minus an oven/stove). The view out the back was wonderful. Breakfast was something close to a 5-star restaurant, and we always left completely full. Mark and Carrie work around any food allergies and preferences, although you would be wise to accept their chosen foods because they are cooked to near perfection. Mark's scones were excellent. Carrie's eggs were easily better than any breakfast that I've had at traditional restaurants. Basically, these two go the extra mile to make sure that your stay was enjoyable. They are extremely nice people and easy to talk to. From the fresh ground coffee in the morning to the views out on the shared patio, this was an excellent bed and breakfast, and one that I would never hesitate to recommend.

Stayed in Sedona Sky for 2 nights, November 2014. We thought the location of the Cozy Cactus could not have been better. It isn't in the super busy, super touristy "uptown" neighborhood of Sedona. Instead it's a few minutes away in the village where getting around without fighting crowds is made much easier. And that's not to mention that the Cozy Cactus property backs up to Bell Rock and wide open space, making for easy access to hiking trails and wildlife viewing. As for the property itself, the rooms are decorated in a warm southwest way that is quirky but tasteful. The entire property is loaded with Southwest charm that is fun without being tacky. We highly recommend a downstairs room that opens up onto the back patio. We thought that Sedona Sky was perfect as the backyard fire pit was also right outside out patio door. All of that is not to mention the best part of the entire place though, which is the hospitality. Carrie and Mark clearly love what they are doing and it shows. They are warm, friendly, inviting, and go out of their way to make guests comfortable and feel at home. And their breakfasts are incredible: unique dishes, homemade by the two of them each morning, delicious and plentiful. They made breakfasts the best part of the weekend for this foodie.

This inn is amazing! We loved our stay in the Vortex Vista Suite. The views are simply amazing. Mark and Carrie prepare a delicious breakfast every morning. Mark is a/k/a the Muffin Czar.....and rightly so! We enjoyed his scrumptious muffins each day. Mark and Carrie are so helpful and hospitable that you'll feel like one of the family! We are already looking at spending our next vacation in 2015 in this lovely place.

The Cozy Cactus really is as good as it gets! We had a 4-night girlfriend getaway in the Sedona Sky suite and it was just perfect for good times, great amenities, and wonderful breakfasts. The suite was perfect for the 4 of us. Carrie and Mark were so accommodating, when a 5th person added in at the last minute for a night and we changed our reservation twice. We loved waking up with coffee on the patio with outstanding views, meeting Tequila the new puppy (a rescue dog, bless you!), and we all said wow we wish we could decorate and furnish spaces like this. The B&B is an easy drive to Sedona sites but away from the hustle bustle. We walked to a Thai restaurant one night, and Bell Rock is just at the north edge of Oak Creek. We actually got in to eat at Elote - worth it but not easy! Tips - the Oak Creek restaurants do close early so if you are out on a long day plan accordingly. When you see Pink Jeeps all over you might think a Pink Jeep tour is too touristy - it's not, do it, we had a ball.

Stay here if you are going to Sedona. We had an amazing time at the Cozy Cactus. The property is very clean and comfortable, Carrie's breakfasts are delicious, and the views from the back of the house are breathtaking. Carrie and Mark are excellent hosts, I would recommend this place to anyone. Carrie's recommendations for restaurants and excursions also made our trip. We stayed in the Southwest room, it didn't have a view of the mountain but the patio was just a short walk away. It was the only room available when I booked, but probably would've stayed there anyway since it was much less and I knew I wouldn't spend much time in the room aside from sleeping. The bed was so comfortable. The location is great as long as you have a car, it's close to shops & restaurants but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. I really cannot say enough good things about this place, I chose it based the on the TripAdvisor reviews and I'm so happy I found this gem!

First of all: Carrie and Mark are the most friendly and the funniest people in the B&B industry. Period! Second: Mark's breakfasts are a real treat - not only are they a delicious treat but also your greatest entertainment center (also, if you are really nice and crack a joke or two - you may get one of his muffins for the road - oh yeah!). Third: the rooms are indeed cozy, very clean, very inviting - just a delight to stay in! Fourth: the location is absolutely amazing! View from the patio in the back is breathtaking day or night. Wild life is coming to visit so don't go out there after dark unless you are looking for an extra Arizona adventure ;) What else can I say - you'll be lucky if they have an availability for your stay so try to make your plans early and call as much in advance as you can. No wonder this place is popular - if I could give six stars I would! Can't wait to be back someday! P.S. No need to be afraid of Margie's barking when you pull in front of CC for the first time - she is a very friendly dog and that's simply her way of welcoming newcomers!

I'll spare you the story of how I found then booked the Cozy Cactus for our getaway to Sedona but it was definitely one of those meant-to-be sort of things. We had high expectations, thanks to the Trip Advisor reviews, & those expectations were exceeded. We stayed in the Cowboy suite: 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, living room & kitchen. & every accommodation you could conjure up but wouldn't think to conjure up so they think of it all for you. It was like an accommodation treasure hunt, coming across something that would make us look at eachother in amazement. Y'know what else was amazing? How immaculate our suite was. & how I slept more comfortably than I can ever recall (I actually felt guilty). But the kicker is the "backyard". Breathtaking. We had the good fortune of gorgeous weather so b'fast was alfresco. & deeelicious. Seriously, we would've been content with them just slapping a Belgian waffle & coffee in our laps. This is when their passion really shines: a 3-course, equal parts comfort food & gourmet b'fast that covers all the bases & tingles all the taste buds! Mark & Carrie really have something special that can't be conveyed in a review or pictures. This was my 2nd time to Sedona & my friend's 1st- everything we did & everywhere we ate for lunches & dinners were perfect but, driving home & talking about our most favorite part, we both agreed the Cozy Cactus made the trip.

Such a lovely place to stay. You feel like you have your own place in Sedona. Mark and Carrie, the innkeepers, do such an amazing job at making you feel at home. Even though it is a "bed and breakfast", your privacy never feels intruded on. The bed was insaaaaaaanely comfortable, so make sure you have a good alarm clock. Your "backyard" is pretty much part of a national forest and will give you endless hiking/adventure fun while providing just about the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises you'll ever see. It's a humble business yet everything down to the smallest detail is crafted by Mark and Carrie with love. Not to sound too cheesy, but it's totally true. Which brings me to my next favorite part about this place... THE BREAKFAST!! WOW!! So fresh and amazing! Everything was totally perfect right down to the muffins Mark baked which were insane. We learned that at the cozy cactus you don't say "goodbye", you say "see you later", because you will be back. Although we live in LA, when we said "see you later", we meant it. This place is awesome. Mark and Carrie, if you read this, can't wait to come back :) k & f
