I got severe food poisoning from this place! This place is dirty and unsanitary! Don't eat here!

I'd say best Mexican food in Sahuarita/Green Valley. The staff is friendly and you get your food quick! It's a small little place, but always busy! I've tried lots of different entrees from here, and have never been disappointed. Anywhere from fish tacos, shrimp tacos, the carne asada burrito, the chorizo burrito, spanish omlettte, carne asada fries, and menudo too! Yum! Menudo is available on Saturdays and Sundays while it lasts! If you want some, get there super early cause it's gone in a few hours time!

We eat here about once a week. We all have our favorites, but 3 of my family if 5, really like the carne asada burritos plain. They are sooooo delicious. Never a long wait, everyone is always friendly

I really wanted to like this place. I have tried quite a few items and have found nothing worth going back for. The staff is very nice and so are the fellow customers. I was really hoping for a good local taqueria to enjoy a quick lunch or snack. For me the flavor is a bit off. All the chicken is cooked with a strange red sauce that does not have an appealing flavor. oh well .......

The Chorizo and eggs is excellent (#10 plate). All of their footed is great. I have been here nearly every day in my 2-week trip! The burritos are great too. And the poblano plate is great!

Being in Tucson, AZ I just had to get more and more Mexican food other than Chipotle. I was told I needed to go to Rigoberto's because it had pretty good food for the price. Not only did it have very good food, but the portions were HUGE. There's no way I could have a place like this next to me -- I'd be as fat as a house. It's in this shopping mall (I have no idea where because I'm not from Tucson nor was I paying attention to my surroundings) and it seemed like lots of locals go there for their fix. The menu is complicated. They've got so much stuff that you just have to stand at the window and let everyone else go ahead of you to view everything. I finally said I just wanted some enchiladas. I love enchiladas. They reminded me why I love enchiladas. They were so good, and when I looked at what my cuzzo got I ended up getting jealous because he had such a bigger portion that i did. All of it was good food! When I go back to Tucson I'll be sure to remind myself to get here and have more Mexican food. Yum. 4 stars.

I absolutely love this place! Think of your favorite sit-down Mexican restaurant, but the food is half the price! A huge burrito will cost between $4-5 dollars which will satisfy even the hungriest. They have great Carne Asada burritos, but my favorite is the Bacon breakfast burrito. Other favorites here include the chorizo burrito and the machaca burrito. The bean burritos are a hit for my kids, and my wife loves the taco salad. The chicken dishes tend to be a little more greasy, so be forewarned. They have a selection of green and red salsa, and pico-de-gallo salsa and freshly sliced limes. They also have aguas frescas (horchata, Jamaica), and traditional Mexican sodas.

A Great little restaurant and a real gem in Green Valley/Sahuarita. Friendly service and consistent food keeps me coming back. They have pretty much all the basics from carne asada to seafood. The menudo (Recommend trying) is what has me giving it an extra star which the serve it on weekends but come early because it's normally gone around 10 a.m.

This place has the best breakfast burritos in all of Green Valley/Sahuarita. I am glad we stopped in to try them out. Great service as well. The stag was friendly and my food was made with very little wait.

Located in the same center as WalMart, Carl's Jr. & Game Stop, this little Taco Shop is a great place to stop for breakfast burritos. We picked some up along with a few Bean, Rice & Cheese burritos and everyone loved their quick breakfast picks. My oldest son really liked the Bacon Egg Burrito. Their taco sauce has all the sabor you'd want & expect from any respectable taqueria. We will be back another time for lunch or dinner.

Being new to southern AZ I was told this was a must try. Its a quick and easy way to slide into a food coma! The quality of the food is what you would expect from a taqueria, but the portions are HUGE! When you order a burrito make sure you are hungry :) The place is a good stop over on your way home, staff is always busy busy since its so popular with the locals. Never have to wait too long for the food, hmmm yum! My Faves: Arizona Burro, Rice

According to the staff, everything you put in the tip jar goes to management (we've Ben told this by four different staff over the years), keep that in mind . Everything else the reviewers said was true great food huge portions fast service

Beacon breakfast burrito! I stop by in the morning , got my breakfast before going on hike. the place is clean and this place is never really busy so there is no wait my food is warm they also have a small side bar that carry's hot sauce and pico free of charge. the staff is some what OK they don't say hi when you walk in they kind of just stare till you order. Some times at night the staff jokes around at night about the costumers in Spanish . I do speak Spanish so that bothers me.

My favorite Mexican food place. Has your typical fare, super fast, eat in or take out and great prices. Everything I've had is good but my favorite dish is the fish tacos. Great menudo on the weekends but get there early, it goes fast. I think it's worth the 40 minute drive from my house.

This is the best place to get your mexican food fix. The food quality hasn't changed since they opened up. Like others you get more than what you pay for. breakfast burros are a MUST! My co-workers made an exception for me to come in late if I brought breakfast burritos in. We love it!

Rigoberto's is a local (Southern AZ) chain meaning they have other locations in the Tucson area but not, so far as I know, beyond the Tucson metro. It is basically a taqueria. That means Mexican fast food, best taken out but with a few plastic tables where you can sit and eat if you must. However, it is a darned GOOD taqueria meaning it bares no comparison with places such as the national chain whose initials are T.B. This is fairly authentic Mexican fast food. The carnitas (pork) is chunks of tender roasted pork with just enough fat to be properly flavorful. You get the idea. Perhaps I like the place because it reminds me of any number of taquerias in the Mission District back home--where they invented the "Mission style" burrito (those big fat ones, unlike anything in Mexico, stuffed with meat, rice, beans, sour cream etc). Anyway, if you crave a couple of tacos or a burrito for lunch, you'll be doing yourself a favor going here and not that national chain. The tacos, by the way, are also the authentic style--the tortillas are not fried but laid flat and covered with the filling so you can pick them up in your hand and bend them into the desired "U" shape.

Very tasty Mexican that is served fast. The carne asada, beef, and carnitas are all moist and full of flavor. The burritos are very large and whenever I order the burrito meals it usually ends up being two full meals. There is also a small salsa/lime bar along with more unique drinks like Pepsi from Mexico (real sugar!), Jarritos, or horchata to quench your thirst. Unlike other places in Sahuarita, Rigoberto's is open late so you can still grab food when every other restaurant in the area is closed.

They have the best tasting Mexican food around, guaranteed!! Served hot, fast and fresh. Their price's are just as good as the food, if not better. If you're near a Rigoberto's I suggest you go on in and pay those wonderful folks a visit, your stomach will thank you.

I usually get the Arizona burrito. Gigantic and tasty. Also the super nachos are usually good. The one thing these guys need to learn is portion control. Almost everything you order is enough for 2 people. Good food, cheap prices.

The best carne asade burros, definitely recommend over taco bell, you get real Mexican food, with a smile. It's very good,

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
