Made our second trip here. This time there was no goof up in our order or missing, there was an adult working with one I the young girls workin the register so all good. We went in earlier than last time and had a better selection to choose from . This time tried their Pecan cinnamon roll and it's amaaaazing. Tried their cafe Americano and it was somewhat weaker than I expected , still good.

On a bike tour with a friend from France and she agrees these are some of the best pastries we have yet to find in the US. This place is a little gem tucked away in a residential part of Safford not far off from Main St. The scone and pecan rolls are to die for! You won't wanna miss this place :D

The owners are delightful to interact with and do business. The food, especially the baked goods, which are available in the bakery, are some of the best I have ever had! Breakfast pancakes were light and tasty served with blueberries and delicious homemade jam. Breakfast is served either in the cottage or in the courtyard surrounded by plants and a vegetable garden. Very relaxing atmosphere! We stayed here so we could visit the Mt. Graham telescopes. Both turned out to provide a great stay in Safford.

Great people, and terrific service. A true gem in the humble town of Safford. I will be staying here every time I visit.

Fabulous B and B in an historic building. You will be treated as family, make that a well fed member of the family! There is a bakery adjacent the cottage that is well worth the trip to Safford all on it's own!

Found this bed & breakfast to be a delight, although not at all what I had in mind. According to the B&B website, the Olney House was built in 1890, is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings and is a fine example of Western Colonial Revival architecture in the Southwest. It's also the private residence of a family of eight and you're not going to see inside. No matter! We preferred the privacy of staying in the large private cottage behind the historic house. Breakfast is served at an agreed upon time in the cottage. We loved it. Ruth is a great welcoming angel for newcomers visiting Safford/Thatcher and while accommodating dietary restrictions she served us a delicious breakfast. A bakery business appears to be thriving and expanding. Work was in progress on two outbuildings for a commercial kitchen offering baked goods and espresso to the public at numerous tables in the shade of a huge and equally historic tree.

The Cottage Bakery is locally owned and a true gem in the Gila Valley. Everything is made fresh daily with real ingredients. My "favorite" thing keeps changing...at first it was the cinnamon rolls, then the almond croissants, now it is the pecan rolls. Their breads are also wonderful. My kids love the cookies and my husband the cheesecake. You won't go wrong treating yourself here!
