As with the McDonalds in Banning, CA. we stop here every time we drive from Chandler, AZ to Newport Beach, CA. So I've been here a lot for not being a local (thank goodness). This is a BUSY McDonalds. It's next to a Pilot gas station. I agree with the reviewer who said he felt this location was like a Walmart, you see all types of people here. But it is in the middle of nowhere, lots of transient people here so I feel it's almost expected. The wait for your food can take a bit longer than at other less busy McDonalds but that's the price you pay stopping here. K, C & I have never really found it a problem. The food itself has always been exactly what we ordered. The service from the counter person is nothing great but let's be honest... They live in Quartzsite or maybe Blythe, CA. but either way we cut them some slack. The bathrooms are clean which is pretty remarkable for how often they get used. Average Food, Average Service, average score. 3 Stars

I would give this location 4 stars if they didn't have so many flies flying around and hanging out on the ceiling. That's really the only downside of the spot. Bathrooms are squeaky clean. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Food was no different than other McDonald's I have been to, which is a good thing as nothing tasted out of the ordinary. It is also one of the nicest McDonald's I have ever seen as well.

  • Vince N.

Make sure you check your order!!! They forget at least one item EVERY TIME I go in there.. Food is as good as fast food can get. Children's happy meal fries are always old..

  • Marshall W.

Food was 3 stars Premises maybe 3 + Staff 1 for being impatient and snotty Composite 2, sorry about that. McDonald's is like the least of choices. We only stopped because we were hungry and did not want to drive any more. Perhaps we should have gone on down the road to look for a better lunch choice. I hate it when the only place in town is a McDonalds! Kinda like being kidnapped.

A convenient waypoint on my semi-regular drives between Phoenix and Los Angeles, this particular McDonalds location offers standard, predictable fare at a good price. Let's face it, when you pull into the parking lot and see the Golden Arches, fine cuisine is not what you're looking for, so with reasonably low expectations, you're sure to be satisfied. While I tend to avoid chains as a rule, when you're driving along the I-10 and need an air conditioned place to rest, grab a quick bite and use the restroom, this is place to go. Trust me - aside from the chains (McDonalds, Burger King, Carls Jr., and Subway) there aren't too many places in good old Quartzsite. I've tried. Because of this, the dining room can get pretty crowded, and since they cater to a continuous stream of weary travelers and truck drivers, well...let's just say it's not the cleanest McDonalds that you'll ever stumble upon. They try to keep the restrooms clean, but during busy times, they can be downright nightmarish. On the plus side, the staff is always very efficient and friendly, and the food is...well, it's McDonalds...

The place was full of flies It was so bad we decided to eat in our car even though it was 100 degrees outside

I hate to say it, but this McDonalds is the best food in town that I found while here for 5 months. the food was good. The Coffee was great! The people behind the counter know what customer service is! They were always friendly to me. The only problem I have with this place is the rainbow people, beggers, that seemed to be everywhere, were allowed to hang out here. The WiFi here is also the best in town. The WiFi in Quartzsite sucks, so does the data on cell phones.

  • Valerie M.

Quartzsite for many reasons reminds me of Wal Mart. You see a variety of people here. Gas is a bargain compared to CA so folks headed West often stop here to fill up, potty, and/or grab a bite to eat and McDonald's just happens to be one of the perfect spots for a stop. A burger, drink,and/or a cone is just the ticket. Plenty of parking, gas to fill up right next door.

You know, just thinking again about how selflessly and graciously they helped my wife when she was near to tears and driving from Phoenix to LA by herself, I have to upgrade the review to 5 stars. Wonder what happened to that wonderful night manager? I hope she has trained others to emulate her.

As McDonald's go, this place is about the same as any other. What separates all fast food places is their staff. We were treated especially well while visiting this location. The staff was friendly, professional and extremely courteous. The manager even provided a toy to my son without us purchasing a happy meal. The food was good. The restrooms and restaurant were very clean and well maintained. We're are definitely going to be stopping here whenever we drive through.

I enjoyed my visit to this McDonalds today & think it's a MUCH BETTER CHOICE than the one nearby in Blythe, CA, about the creepiest town it the world! :-O A WORD OR WARNING about this location, though! You don't want to park in their parking lot near a holiday! Between the long line of cars out front waiting to buy gasonline at the service station next door, plus the streaming traffic in the #1 lane, you may find it VERY HARD TO GET OUT OF THE MCDONALD'S LOT! Thus, park off site where you can get moving down the street & back to a freeway onramp when you are finished eating. One other thing is that both this McDonald's and the one in Blythe have been CLOSED on Christmas day both 2011 and 2012, despite McCorporate encouraging the franchisees to be open. Just so you know. Also, this McDonald's has an address! Can you imagine? It's 1241 W Main St, in case HQ hasn't fixed the header by the time you read this. :-)

It has been a few months since I had the misfortune of visiting this site; however, I would be remiss if I did not notify the proper people in regards to their poor customer of one of their workers, Ana. On January 2, 2015, I, along with my infant daughter and niece, made a stop at this McDonald's. It was extremely busy as there was just a power shortage. After a long wait in line and as we got to the front of the line, Ana closed the line without any notification. Therefore, I had to start the process over again. If not for a hungry infant who loves the McDonald's, I would have gladly gone somewhere else. What made the situation even worse, no one in the establishment really cared about their poor customer service and had a nonchalant attitude. I wonder if that's because the number of food eateries are limited in the area. Nevertheless, McDonald's need to hold their employees accountable for their negative actions and address their lack of good customer service (remember customers keep your business going). I will never eat at this establishment again.

A great super clean place to take a pit stop traveling to Arizona. Bathrooms are super clean and the staff friendly.

Okay normally I don't go to McDonald's. But I heard about the grilled chicken wraps and I want to try it. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The grilled Chicken was very good. The sauce had a nice flavor. It actually tasted nice. But now I can still stay on my diet and go to McDonald's and enjoy the grill chicken snack wrap and diet soda. perfect Also this location was very clean. And they have kinda a lounge seating area w sofas. Different but cool.

So there ain't much on the way to or from Phoenix, but if you need a snack, stop by this McD's for your road trip meal When I looked at my order, I saw the the fries were missing. Then I looked at the receipt, and sure enough, they weren't on the receipt, either. I told the Manager and offered to pay for the fries. He said, "Don't worry about it" and gave me fries right out of the fryer, nice and hot. I'ts great when Management covers for their people who are working hard and make an honest mistake. Bravo to you, Mr. Mc Donald's Manager -- keep up the good work.

Yo! Now I am not a Micky Deez reg by any means, but I stopped by this dump for some caffeine. My posse ended up ordering food and all of the orders were put in wrong. Begs to question, how do you F up an order, when you're only pushing buttons with pictures on them? Have you ever seen that movie from Dusk till Dawn? This is exactly the vibe this place and their employers gave off. The lady working the counter was at least 70 years old, tatted down with an attitude....everyone else there looked and acted inbred, Appalachian style. We all walked out and said WTF just happened? I know I walked away with some knowledge because: Now I know what a tat on an 70 year old woman's tatted neck looks like and it sho aint purty! This Quartzsite town is stank!

  • Chelsea W.

Typically I wouldn't review a MickeeDs but since this is the last stop before crossing into Cali, I was a little nervous about what we would be walking into. I was shocked! It was updated, super clean and the staff was friendly. Easily one of the nicest ones I've been in and that includes Phoenix locations. My only disappointment was that there was no playplace. However, there is a really nicely maintained grass area out front that we could let our son run around in before hopping back in the car. Clearly that won't work for summer months but for today it was just what we needed. Will definitely return here on future trips!

I left my purse here a week ago (2/21). After discovering this problem 2 hours north I called and they volunteered to mail it to me. Just got it today with no charge! THANK YOU SO MUCH. Talk about customer service. Gives me hope that there are good, honest people in this Also good oatmeal

What rating can I give a McDonald's? Experiences always vary. This one is for a reason, though. We only stop at Quartzsite for bathroom breaks or gas on our way to California from Tucson. We did the same thing this time. I have to say that I was surprised at how clean the bathrooms were. I'm sure they make this a priority since we're not the only travelers that stop here. I felt like a huge elitist here though. See, I've heard how those McCafe coffees are pretty good, so I ordered one. Only they don't have these here yet. I was the total jerk asking for a medium latte at a McDonalds that doesn't carry them. Had I been a cartoon, here's where my head would turned to that of a donkey and I'd have been bleating, "haw hee haw hee haw". They do have iced coffees (and of course the regular ones) so I had one those instead. Next time, I'll check for the McCafe signs before I order. -blush-

  • Alan C.

Hard to screw up McDonalds but they managed to do just that on my last visit. The chicken nuggets were cold and tasted sour, while the soda had the consistency of syrup. I didn't realize this until I was a few miles down the I-10 so it wasn't worth turning around. Having said that, this is a convenient gas-and-grub stop to top off the tanks before heading into California. There's a Love's off the same exit on the south side of the I-10 which attracts truckers and tourists like moths to the flame, so it's always crammed and filthy. The restrooms here are always clean and the dining room, should you decide to chill from the I-10 madness for a few minutes, is clean.

    (2)
  • Melissa W.

Always always always buy your gas in Quartzsite, AZ before you cross the border into Cali... so that said, the Pilot (Chevron?) off exit 17A (?) is right next to the McD (and cheaper than the gas station immediately off the exit)... Clean bathrooms and get your consistant McD items you want as you continue on the long drive in to LA.

    (3)
  • Doug T.

If you have to go to McDonald's (why?) on travels between PHX and LA the one in Quartzsite at least has cheaper gas stations than Blythe plus has a large nearby rock shop (T-Rock). I personally try to avoid them but was curious about the reputation McDonald's was getting for "premium" coffee. I finally tried it and was not impressed. After a few sips I went back to my day old Starbucks that I had been nursing along...

    (2)
  • Brian K.

Well I'll be honest and say not the best Mickey D's I've been to... Slow and a bit dirty which always makes the food not as tasty..... Better off heading to Blythe
