All I can say is "will not disappoint". This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this hotel when in the Prescott area.. there's no reason why we would go anywhere else - their hotel is beautifully preserved, well-maintained, antique; their service is better than any B&B we've stayed out and the location is prime.. pretty much the best spot to stay to enjoy Prescott. Their breakfast was continental but still quality; they are w/in walking distance to the courthouse park (which has activities every weekend); antique yet clean and well-maintained rooms... We don't plan on changing our hotel venue anytime soon... this is our go-to place :)

My husband and I stayed here on our honey moon. We almost stayed another night but decided we needed to spend the holiday with out family instead. This is a wonderful cute little hotel within walking distance of a lot of great little shops and places to eat. The people who work here are so friendly and helpful. We love this place.

Great place. Old and rustic but still in great condition. Exactly what you'd hope for by going to an "old" hotel in Prescott! Very friendly and supportive staff. We'll be going back!

Stayed here today. Two bedroom, one bath suite. Old, pleasant change from cookie cutter modern hotels designed to last maybe 20 years. Plenty of history at the hotel and surroundings. Old bar, the Palace, an easy walk. The owners son, Nick, nice guy and friendly. They appear to roll the sidewalks up in Prescott fairly early. Like 8 pm. Dead! Anyway, good change from the ordinary hotel experience!

My husband, 14 year-old son and I stayed here last month. We got a LivingSocial deal and the place looked interesting, so we decided to plan our trip around that. We drove from Seattle and spent 4 days at this hotel. I have to say it was everything we had hoped for, the second we walked in we were so pleased and excited to be there. The hotel staffer's first order of business was to hand me two bottles of wine that was part of my LS deal. For a nominal add-on we were able to get an adjoining suite so the kid could have a room all to himself. The hotel was built in the early 1900s so there was old world charm everywhere. The sun-filled lobby, with the original woodwork and big windows, was a joy to spend time in. There is a small bar there as well, it closes up at 9:00 pm or so. There is a service room for guests with a refrigerator, Keurig pot, hot water pot, glasses and utensils that is open all the time. The rooms were simple and very comfortable, and our bathroom had a claw foot tub, which was awesome. The last night we were there, there was a paranormal research team in action late at night, with the spooky sounding flash cameras, ghost boxes, the whole bit. I'm a light sleeper so I heard it all, but my family slept through it. The hotel is supposedly haunted, though I was disappointed to find that our photos did not capture anything unusual. Prescott itself is a wonderful, perfect sized town and great for an extended visit. We went to Sedona and the Grand Canyon as side trips. I will definitely go again!

Stayed in the haunted room and had no events, except when it came time to check out, we could not find our car keys. After a total search of the room, we found it under the bed, in the covers! Perhaps the ghost cat, Nobel, played with them? This place is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. Lots of chating in the front bar/lobby if you like that kind of thing. Bed was comfy and everything looked clean but bathroom had odor of mold. It was nice to be able to walk around downtown.

Amazing hotel, great owners. The sangria is not to be missed. Great location so we could go out to whiskey row and walk back. Love the atmosphere here...will definitely be back!!

Always our "go to" in Prescott! Part of many annual group outings, boys weekends and just "wanna get away" weekends. Love the patio and the Fremont Bar is a great addition! Eric and Stephanie are always great hosts, it was great to visit their new Black Hole Brew Pub on our last trip. Great location within walking distance to Whiskey Row and right next door to another favorite of ours The Rose. You won't be disappointed!

We loved it! It is a bit run down (not just with age but with obviously neglected maintenance) and the toilet dripped all night, but we were able to overlook this due to the charm. We stayed in rooms 23 and 25 which were joined by a bathroom. The location is outstanding and definitely walking distance to everything. Under $140 for one night with 2 rooms and 1 bath. I will go back.

Great place to stay and does more than get job done in every way. Unique, quaint, fun experience in the perfect location to walk to courthouse plaza & whiskey row. Giddy up!

My wife and I stayed here two nights in Oct, 2014. Very nice old historic hotel with a small bar near the entrance that serves as an evening gathering spot for guest. The best thing about this place is the location, just a block from the downtown square. The owners are nice and made us feel welcome. The rooms are small, as they are in many old inns. Maintenance is a little iffy, but all in all we enjoyed the stay although our mattress had obviously seen better days. I would recommend the Vendome as long as you don't expect state-of-the-art facilities. The price was moderate, and the wi-fi was good (at least in our room over the lobby).

Very old world, western feel. It was quaint with a haunted history that was fun to research. Good proximity to the town's points of interest. The care takers have interesting characters but were absolutely befitting the feel of the hotel. We will return if our path brings us through Prescott again.

What a cute hotel! Its kind of ironic me saying that because its supposed to be haunted, but it really was quite charming. The woman who works the front desk was so much fun and gave us great tips for where to eat. The owners are absolutely delightful and really take pride in their hotel. The rooms are a bit on the small side, which is why I am giving it only 4 stars. Not much they can change about that now, since the hotel was built in 1917. The complimentary breakfast was great, and I loved the pantry where I could get tea any time I wanted and a guest refrigerator for our leftovers. It was within walking distance to Whiskey Row and all the hot spots. Really neat place!

Very nice hotel! It was our first visit, and we would stay again. Room was small, but sufficient for what we needed. The owners were very attentive to their guests needs. They have a room for guests to have access to a fridge for any leftovers, a microwave as well as coffee and tea. The continental breakfast was fine to have a small breakfast that will keep you satisfied until lunch.

Natalie has a little thing for haunted places so she picked here when we stayed in Prescott. Extremely friendly staff and well maintained properties. Our bathroom was ginormous and the bed was comfortable. Just a block from Whiskey Row, it's close enough to walk but far enough to not hear the drunkards yelling and screaming on the street. In the morning, they serve breakfast or you can go next door for a little coffee shop. P.S. don't be alarmed when you see a ton of police cars, there is an unmarked substation just two or three buildings down.

Stayed here while working at the AZ 100 Best Fest. It was the best decision I made. This location is prime! Plus you can't beat the service, the owners/propriotors are so friendly and accomodating. The rooms are clean and well equipt with the quaint ammenities you need for a fun or romantic weekend escape. They also claim to have a ghostly inhabitant on the premisis, while I did venture out into the halls at night and take pictures, I didn't find any evidence of a ghost. I did however find evidence of a Cookie Fairy, who would leave tasty homebaked delightful treats on a small glass tray at the front desk. They offered a break room available 24hrs with complementary juices, sodas coffee and fruit. Plus they had a wonderful continental breakfast in the morning (even got to try their waffle on my last morning...YUM). They have a generous selection of fresh pastry treats, 3 cereal options and fruit or yogurt with granola. I do wish they offered a light protein option. But the bran cereal or a english muffin with peanut butter was a nice treat. I loved being able to walk to most popular bars and restaurants from here. Stumbling distance...just the way I like it. There is no doubt that my next trip to Prescott, I am skipping the usually chain and I am checking in here!

Stay here!!! The place is great. From the B and B feel (and u actually have your own bathroom) to the 2 beautiful porches this place is amazing! The beds are super comfy and the room itself so cute and perfectly clean. The hospitality shown by the owners also a huge plus! Free soda a must have after a night on whiskey row;)I've stayed at several places in Prescott over the years and this was by far the best!

I stayed in room #9, Josie and Wyatt's Nest, at this hotel last week for a one-night stopover and was delightfully surprised at how great it was. The front desk person was very friendly and checking in and out was a cinch. The hotel was clean and my bathroom was huge. The mattress was memory foam and the pillows were great quality. I slept very comfortably. Of note, when the room description says "deluxe king," they aren't kidding. The bed was almost as big as the room which made it very comfortable but with more than one person and big luggage, it might have been a little bit tight. Central heating with thermostat control ensured I stayed warm enough in the overnight freezing temperatures. The bed was HUGE and took up most of the room. The Website overclaims the guest pantry a little bit. There weren't any food offerings but there was a Keurig and a water crock. I felt totally alone in my room (no ghosts!) but when I woke up at 5am and ventured out into the dimly lit hall to go and get a cup of coffee, I have to admit that my imagination got the better of me and I just felt freaked out in the hallway until I returned to my room. I'm sure it was the lighting. :-) There is a cozy lobby bar with decent beer selections and a few of the guests were having a great time there until about 9pm. Because of the way the hotel is built, their conversations and laughter pretty much resounded down the hallway but they did stop at 9pm. My room was a little further than midway down the hall and although it was noticeable, I didn't think it was horrible and appreciated that it stopped relatively early. However, a person who is more sensitive to that kind of noise probably wouldn't be happy with a room closer to the lobby. SUPER easy walking distance to the downtown area and Whiskey Row. Cuppers right next door got me on the road again at 7am with an amazing Mayan Mocha. I definitely recommend Vendome for friendly staff, cleanliness, comfort, and convenience. I would absolutely stay here again.

This place is awesome! Its an old fashioned built hotel in 1927. Very fun and romantic!

If I could only give this less than one star I would but this place is the pits I don't know how it rates 4.5 stars. People must be blind.

We got a chance to visit Prescott for a couple of days of R & R and used a Groupon to stay at this historic hotel. I stayed there once 5 or 6 years ago. It's location is perfect for anyone wanting to see what Prescott is all about. Just a short walk to the courthouse, central square, whiskey row and the antique stores. The hotel is charming, charismatic and very relaxing. My girlfriend and I stopped at the lobby bar to cool off after our drive and sat and chatted with Barbie Jacobsen, the Manager and some of the locals. We had a fantastic time. Barbie went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She is a jewel. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had access to the second floor porch. Sleeping with the windows open was a welcome relief from the sweltering heat of the valley. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to a minor real estate emergency so we had to leave early the next day. Barbie was nice enough to comp our bill from the bar the previous night and made sure everything was in order for our hasty departure. It couldn't have been a more perfect stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Prescott. It will be our "go-to" stop whenever we return. Stop in and say Hi to Barbie...you will be glad you did. Survive55.com

Let me start off by saying....We are ghost hunters. Or at least I am! My husband is a good sport and comes along for the ride, hoping, against hope that nothing ever happens. Lucky for me, I'm a ghost magnet, so he always has an entertaining experience that he will never admit to in mixed company! We came across this place quite by accident several years ago, on a snowy night looking for a place to stay on a road trip from Colorado to California. The second time we stayed here, it was a pit stop before hitting Jerome, AZ. Both times we stayed, we had a lovely time. Beds were comfortable with nice linens....Bathrooms, well maintained with super hot water and good towels. Hotel is well maintained and has a lovely lobby and front porch to lounge on and it's right next door to an AHMAZINGGGGGGGGG coffee haus, Cuppers! Also, there is a cool old funeral home down the street, definitely a mysterious and interesting place! If you love historic hotels, you will love this place. The second time we came, we got in super late (1am) and the hotel folks left us our key and we checked in quietly in the dead of night into room 16, Abby's room! This room is quite comfortable, although a bit smaller than other rooms, and by the stairs on the second floor. Soon as we got settled in our PJS, I heard someone walking up the stairs....They paused at our room and the walked down the hall. Then walked back, went down the stairs, and came back up again! Of course I listened and went right out in the hall during the second pass as the steps came to our door--Not a human in site. I definitely felt the presence of Abby, and felt her concern for us being up so late and getting settled in. Her energy is sweet and inquisitive, and as soon as I got back in the room from the hall, I felt her encouraging me to put my things nicely in the closet--She was a gal who cared about clothing being neatly stacked! This is a GREAT hotel. Close to the town square, wonderful shipping and full of charm, history and hospitality. Stay in this place. You will enjoy it, and maybe Abby will visit you too!

Very simply put....We just always love our stay at the Vendome. I feel like I'm a guest at a friend's house. The staff is always friendly from check-in to check-out. I love that the same person who checks you in, can wander over to the bar and pour you a drink (beer or wine). I've been known to order a local beer at the bar, before I've even laid down my credit card to check in. The rooms are old fashioned décor and I get a good night sleep when I stay here. Can't beat the location. Whiskey Row is a block away, so if you've come to Prescott to pub crawl, then this is a great place to stay. Continental breakfast includes a nice selection of muffins, pastries, fruit, cereal, juice, milk and cofffee. If that's not enough, simply walk next door to Cuppers and grab a scrambled egg or skinny pancakes to go. We've made Vendome our first choice when staying in Prescott. So long as there is a room available, this is our hotel. Thank you to Barbie, Eric and any of the other staff (I don't remember all the names) who have made us feel at home.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Vendome recently with our friends with a killer deal purchased through Living Social. When I booked the rooms with a very short notice I was able to get 1 room with a king size bed and 1 with a queen. The king room was nicer than the queen, so be sure to request one if you are able. They are only available on the second floor. Both our rooms had a garden tub, but there are rooms with claw foot tubs available as well. Pros: Location, location, location!! Right down the street from Whiskey Row, the courthouse square, and all the fun antique shops! We walked everywhere except for driving to the Black Hole brewery, also owned by the owners of the Vendome. Friendly, helpful hosts. They had ready answers for everything from the history of The Palace saloon to the best nearby hiking trails to local restaurant reviews. Eating breakfast on the front porch and enjoying the 70-80's degree weather instead of 90's-100 plus! The breakfast is pretty standard yogurt, muffins, cereal, but somehow tastes so much better when the cool breeze is blowing and the birds are singing. We loved sitting on the upper veranda where the breezes were even cooler. Cons: we were there during the week so we did not get the noise from Whiskey Row, but it could get a little loud nearby. When booking and on-line this was explained. Can't think of any other cons. This was a very relaxing place to stay and we enjoyed every minute!

Hotel Vendome, I love you. This place has tons of character and is in a fantastic location. This is only my second stay but I doubt I will ever stay anywhere else when I come to Prescott.

Great little hotel adjacent to Whiskey Row. We looked around at other hotels in the area and we were not impressed. This hotel is more like a bed & breakfast and is owner operated. Nice clean rooms. Great little living / sitting area in the lobby for breakfast, or sitting at the bar (beer / wine service). The owner gave us a tour and was a really nice guy (Eric). I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Prescott, AZ. BTW, room 16 is supposed to be haunted by a previous occupant.

Great Hotel, Great Location, Great Everything. My girlfriend and I stayed here last weekend on a little birthday getaway. We arrived on Friday around 2:30 and the owner Eric greeted us with open arms. Very small historic hotel with a old but welcoming feel. Don't really know much about the ghost of room 16, but to each is own. Our room, 20, is very small but nice, it was updated in spots where it needed to be, but the room overall is very historic, somewhat like a bed and breakfast feel. We didn't spend to much time in our room, so the size didn't bother us. The hotel bar is awesome, they have about 40 beers and wines to choose from and none of the choices are crappy. No need to come by if you want a Bud Light, have yourself a $2 Guinness. I didn't partake in the breakfast, my girlfriend did and says it was awesome, and I did miss out. I could smell the waffles from my room, just couldn't get out of the bed. The Bed!! How could I forget...Memory Foam. Great for the room because if you want to get naughty, you gotta keep it down, you can hear everything. Just saying. Overall we loved the place and would stay there again, the owners are amazing and they are doing a great job in preserving this hotel. Bucket List.

On a whim, my wife in I did an overnight in Prescott. Room 26 at the Hotel Vendome was cute and sufficient for our visit. Barbie, at the front desk was a wealth of information and quite the conversationalist. Perfect location to city center highlights.

Loved this place! It's right off Whiskey Row so you get the convenience of walking everywhere but without the noise. There is parking right out front so that's helpful too. The first night we were there we enjoyed some of the beers from their bar and sat on the front porch in rocking chairs - perfect way to enjoy the evening. In the morning, there were waffles, cereal, applesl; a basic continental breakfast. I did notice there was a breakfast place two doors down that I think would be worth trying. The room was quaint but all we needed. The bathroom was clean and the tub was large. I also appreciated the eco-friendly soaps. Can't wait to go back here next time I"m in Prescott!

I completely lucked out when I picked this place based on location to the middle of town. The Yavapai county courthouse is less than a block away, and Whiskey Row is just on the other side. LOVED the hotel, had no idea about its history, and the current owners are a younger couple who have owned it about 2.5 years now. The place has charm and has a B&B feel to it. My mom said her room made her feel like she had gone back to the 1800's. Very well kept place, complimentary soda, water and coffee 24/7, the Fremont bar (in the front lobby) serves a wide variety of wines and beers and they do a continental breakfast in the morning. Will definitely stay there next time we're in Prescott. Loved it!

We were impressed and will stay here again. The convenience to downtown was great and the continental breakfast on the porch was priceless. The service was good and the room was done well - but not too much -- the feel of the old hotel was still there. We leave tomorrow and will be back - four days here has been terrific. Thanks to the Chamber of Commerce for suggesting this place.

What a great place to stay in! Place is clean, staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to everyone! :).

The young couple have only been at this for a year and are working hard to make it great. They returned the place to a more appropriately historic western feel. Incredibly quiet rooms and super breakfast make this place stand out. As time goes by I am sure they will pass from the 4 to 5 star rating.

Got a great deal from Living Social($109) for 2 night and a beer tasting at The Prescott Brewing Co. Barbi was a great hostess. Always willing to answer my questions, offered advice about gold panning, and gave us tips on where to go and what to see. I will definitely stay here again.

met friends and we took over most of the hotel for Thanksgiving weekend. very nice accommodating staff, thee hotel is in a super location convenient to lots of restaurants and the activity of the town square. you have to make some concession to the antiquity of the hotel but that's what you sign up for here. we had a great happy hour in the lobby and everyone had fun. Cuppers coffee shop next door is super.

Stayed for a few nights in July and was very disappointed. Maintenance is woefully neglected -window screens coming off after having been sloppily stapled together, thick layers of dust on drapes and furniture - peeling wallpaper "repaired" with packing tape - a metal bucket on the closet shelf catching mysterious drips from who knows where. Very loud patrons of the restaurant (Barley Hound) right next door. The restaurant's large outdoor seating area made relaxing on the verandah impossible after 5pm and relaxing in the room was not an option until well after 11:00pm.

  • Judy G.

Got a great deal on living social, so we spent 2 nights at this charming, historic, owner operated hotel. Eric (who owns this with his wife), was really awesome! Unbelievable beer selection in his little bar area. So many nice outdoor spaces to hang out and so close to everything downtown. The rooms are tiny, but that's how historic hotels are. We didn't go to sit in our room, so that is not a concern. Checked out a couple amazing local hikes and brew pubs (Eric is part owner of the Black Hole Beer Company as well). We had a blast and would recommend this hotel highly!
