Three stars is a stretch for the Lotus Garden. If they have a good day, the food may be fair, but if it's a bad day--maybe ICE showed up at the back door--the food is downright awful. The trouble with dining in the White Mountains is that most residents are content to eat copious amounts of poorly prepared "food," so long as the quantity is virtually unlimited. "Restaurants" like the Lotus Garden, Charlie Clark's, El Rancho, substitute quantity for quality. Finding a good restaurant in the Pinetop-Lakeside area is like panning gold in the White River, an exercise in futility.

Food was AMAZING! The crab puffs were creamy, the seaseme chicken was to die for, the rice was TASTY and the best part had to be the free ice cream included with the meal. First time I actually saw a waitress running to serve customers although the food was fast.. Inexpensive(family of 5 for $43.00). LARGE proportions!!!!!!!.Would recommnd to anyone lookig for a delicious, cheap meal!!!

My husband and I were staying in Pinetop/Lakeside for a ski trip and the hotel recommended this restaurant. It was really good. I was a little surprised to get good Chinese in such a small town! We had a chicken dish and a noodle dish, both were great, lots of fresh veggies and lean protein. The only thing I didn't like was that they charged for rice with the chicken dinner, and didn't have brown rice. Service was good and the place was clean. Would definitely go back.

A nice surprise. Freshly cooked and very good. If I'm ever back in the area I will make this a stop.

Large portions and quick service are a plus however all dishes were very salty.
