Place is great! I had the Pastrami Burger and it was delicious! They also have a good selection of beers on tap.

A good place to watch football on a Sunday afternoon. They have 3+ tables of Texas hold'em. Lots of TVs dedicated to the Cardinals. Good wings and sliders.

Sidewinders is THE place to go to in Pine. Fall off the bone ribs on Friday. Taco Tuesdays! Awesome burgers, wings, you really can't go wrong. And then there's Karri. I swear she must be psychic. If she knows your "usual", it's already half way to your table by the time you sit down and then it's like she knows the moment your ready for a refill. Heidi is a fantastic waitress. she is priceless. Always, always has a smile on her face.

I was staying up there in a friends nearby cabin during the Payson Beeline Car Show. After the car show my gf and I decided to hit this place for some drinks and some food since we hadn't eaten all day. It was cold and rainy and I saw a sign out front that said the Chili was voted #1 in Pine for the best Chili. PERFECT I said I love chili and perfect weather for it. We placed our order she got the BLT sandwich that looked really good. I received my chili it was Luke warm cheese on top was ice cold along with the onions. I'm not a picky eater so I ate it anyway. It had a funny taste and a funny smell but never thought anything of it. I have had some strange chili before. Well needless to say an hour later I felt my stomach cramping up and I was sick as Hell. I couldn't leave the bathroom and it was coming out both ends!! All night!!! I lost 12 lbs. and here it is 2 days later and and I'm still on bland foods cause my stomach isn't right. So it would get zero stars if that was possible! Just curious if there was anybody else out there that had the chili!

Today was my first time visiting this place. I loved it. The food was delicious, the prices weren't too high, the service was excellent, atmosphere was pleasant, and the live music was AMAZING. The men playing blues live was just perfect. I will definitely come here again soon!

I have had my cabin in Pine area for over 3 years. This is my stop on Friday nights coming into town. If I get there early enough I get the ribs. Yep, they run out! It's a small town folks. They can't afford to waste a bunch of meat. I enjoy the Reuben. It's stacked. The Chef salad is a good size portion. The chili is great! Yes, you can order special stuff and they won't give you blank stares or get pissed. The bartenders/waitress staff changes up occasionally, so give it another try if you didn't like the last gal. She may have left. Karri is a real regular at the bar. She pours a good stiff drink and is originally from the valley. Look for the short gal with dark hair. She will treat you well. Yes, sometimes you do have to ask for a drink. They have a pretty relaxed lifestyle up there compared to us valley folk (aka flatlanders to them). Give them a break. That's why they chose to live there full-time! :) We would too if we wanted to live on their income! Relax....SLOW DOWN... and just enjoy the time.... If they run out of something...get something else....if you have to ask for your drink....just ask with a smile....I know you will get a smile back! I edited my review only to spell Karri's name correctly!

these people are thieves. They added an extra drink to my bill thinking I wouldn't realize and refused to issue a refund, food was nasty, place smelled horrible and the service an attitude was exceptionally poor.

Great food, great people and great fun is on the menu at Sidewinders. We have a cabin in Pine and enjoy coming to this bar for Friday BBQ and Blues. Live music keeps the place rockin. But the beat part is the friendly people. From Tony and Carol the owners, to the bartenders (karri is the bomb) as well as the locals and tourists, sidewinders is everything a country bar should be. Try a Tony Burger if you're really hungry or the wings, have a cold beer, shoot a game of pool and have a good time!

This is one of the best ever... Whenever I hear the song, "I Love this Bar", Sidewinders is the place I think of... We have a cabin close by and of course don't get up there as often as we would like. But as often or as seldom as we are able to go to Sidewinders, it has always been a great experience. Karri has my beverage of choice waiting for me as soon as I get to the bar. She has been working there for years. Karrie & Elise both are now my favorite bar tenders ever! We often have dinner at Sidewinders and the wings & burgers are wonderful. The deep fried food is the terrific. The salads are large and tasty. Fridays they have ribs that fall off the bones and full of flavor. They participate in bike run fund raisers and have Texas Hold 'em. Lots of goings on here. Talent show coming up. Awesome service, good food, live music, and friendly patrons. What else could you ask for... Nothing... Sidewinders gets 5 stars!!!

We recently bought a cabin in Pine as our weekend home, so we have been trying all the local "hot spots" :-) Our creds: late 30's execs...live in Chandler...enjoy life experiences, so we can go to Cowboy Caio in Scottsdale and pay $150 for awesome foodie fare or be happy visiting our local dive bar in Chandler. We really enjoy Sidewinders...here's why: - we go for the live music, generous pours, naked chicken wings, Saloon vibe and people-watching...it's a good time... - they also have fun things like poker nights and WII Bowling tournaments. - very nice, friendly servers If you go: - don't be in a hurry...ever heard of "Pine Time"? It's a Thing.... - they have yummy bar food....if you want a grilled Romaine Ceasar with house made dressing and apple smoked bacon washed down with a Grey Goose martini, then maybe go to THAT Brewery that night.

I am going to start by saying this place is OK. We were in Pine for the weekend and spent a great deal of time here and was within a mile of where we were staying. We went on a Friday night around 7pmish to drink and get a classy bar food dinner. We sat down at a table and were approached in a decent amount of time for drinks. We ordered beer on tap and they were flat because their CO2 tap was not working properly, we tried like 4 different ones just to make sure ;). My Fiancé ordered hot boneless chicken "kickers" I think they were called. They were apparently award winning. Three strips came in a basket with the hot sauce on the side for dipping, so it was pretty much like a children's order of chicken fingers, not what we were expecting and for 9 bucks? COME ON! I got a chef salad, I know we were at a bar, I just wanted a salad OK? That was pretty good loaded with ham and turkey and the good stuff. The salad was like 10 bucks, this place was overpriced for what you were getting. I was expecting a cheap dive bar, at least I was right about the dive bar part. The service was pretty terrible. It took us over an hour to get our food and the waitress never came back to get us new drinks. We had to walk over to her to ask for another beer and took her quite a while to bring a new one. After we ate we decided to move over to the bar assuming it would be easier to get drinks..WRONG. The waitresses all walk around the bar staring at the floor! I'M SERIOUS! We were waiving at the waitresses who were only an extended arm away from us and they had no idea. This is not a bar that asks if you want another drink when they see you are finished, you have to do a windmill dance to get their attention for your next beverage. They had a live band that was actually pretty good. They were having fun up there and were encouraging people to dance, which they did. It was pretty hilarious considering the average age of the people seemed to be 55. The woman's bathroom doesn't have locks on the stall "doors". You are probably asking yourself why I put "doors", well the reason is because the stalls don't actually have doors. They are like swinging barn doors that don't lock and you can see through them..Can you say awkward? When I came out of the stall I felt like an outlaw in an old western movie walking into a bar Finally, the owners have their dogs walking around the bar. They are really cute, unless your allergic. :) Overall, would I go back? Yeah, I think so, was it the best place I have been, No.

Every time we visit our friend in Pine, AZ we stop at Sidewinder's. It's a great bar off the 87 in Pine. Just look for it on the left side of the road at the bottom of the hill. The wings are good, but if you want the hot get it on the side. There food is cheap, too, and the beer is cold. They now do different activities each day of the week, so check out their website.

If you're in Pine overnight, be sure to hit Sidewinders. We played pool for a couple hours, drank Four Peaks Kiltlifter, Blue Moon, and Fat tire, and watched locals play in a Texas Hold 'Em tournament. The bar (and the whole town) is quite community-minded with fliers advertising nightly events like poker, 8 and 9-ball tournaments, and live music. Very expedient and friendly service from the bar staff with drinks and quarters for pool dispensed quickly. The bartender even came over preemptively to see if we were hungry since the kitchen was closing (but the fryer would be open all night!).

Thanks for all the great feedback. We are constantly a work in progress. Please join us for great food, great company, and a fun, super charged atmosphere. We have recently remodeled the patios to make them more dining friendly. One is a smoking patio and the other is non smoking. Please continue to five your feedback as we do take it very seriously.

Sounds like they had a change in ownership not too long ago and things are definitely improving. Not that they were ever bad, just nothing special. Lately the place has been packed, service is better and food is definitely improving. Taco Tuesday is now our favorite and most of the food is a step up from the usual bar food we used to get. I'm a martini fan and although the bartender hesitated when I asked for a sour apple one (said he had to think if he had everything) he made one great martini for me (actually two!). We love our little place in Pine and are glad to have somewhere local that's good.

Decent place to grab a drink or play a game of pool. They have the basics, Coors Light, well drinks etc. Not a place to order wine and you have better choices for food in Pine. They have live music on Fridays and that's worth a trip; my husband and I would go there more often if they offered it on Saturdays as well.

I used to really like this place, but what happened? Not impressed today. Service was really slow and the waitress didn't even know the difference between what and rye bread.

Love the staff, friendly, great service, love the laid back atmosphere. The locals are nice and very pleasant to talk to, very informative about the local to do's. The food is good, A must try is the rib dinner on Friday nights. They also have good live music from bands all around Arizona that come to Sidewinders to play on Friday and Saturday nights.

Look I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt here. I understand it's a sleepy town on a Thursday night. I know it's slow. Only about 8-10 customers in the whole place. I understand the bartender may want to go out to the patio to have a smoke. No problem. But when I have to get out of my seat, walk to bar and stand there with an empty glass in my hand, not once. not twice not three times but on four separate occasions maybe it's time to think about your customers just a bit more. Even after all this I am still willing to give you a break. But when you do come inside from your little private party I don't need attitude from you. Sorry I interrupted what ever was so important. I'm giving you two stars because you did have Lumberyard on tap. Although I only had 1/2 a glass because the keg was out. No mention of changing it.

My husband and some friends rented a cabin for the weekend. On our last night we decided to stop by. For a Saturday night it wasn't too busy so we got a table right away. We ordered our first round and it took a while, and we just ordered some draft beers. That was when I noticed that our server was actually behind the bar getting our drinks, when the only 3 or 4 bartenders were too busy chatting or just standing around. I thought that was kind of weird. Well, one of the beers we ordered was apparently out so my husband only got about a half a glass. When our server came back she told him the tap needed to be changed and she wouldn't charge him for the half a beer. He said, "ok, I'll wait and while I'm waiting I will take a michelob ultra". We waited... And waited... No beer. We all finished our first round and she came back to take our food order. No worries, maybe she didn't hear him or she thought he was joking. She came back with our second round (tap still wasn't changed), which she had to pour herself, again ( when she brought my husband his michelob ultra it was warm...) We got our food... My husband ordered the shrimp tacos... He ended up getting the fish tacos instead. She apologized, saying it was her fault and she wouldn't charge him for another beer. One of our friends ordered a salad that was supposed to have avocado on it.. So she went back to the kitchen to get some and the cook apparently denied her and told her flat out that he put avocado on it and wouldn't give her any to bring back. She came back to our table and told us... He hadn't touched the salad at all yet and there was no avocado. So she went back and he gave her some. Come to find out, the two salads at the table had been switched and the salad that actually came with avocado was given to another friend ( which we didn't notice until we were finished) So yes the cook did put avocado on it.. But for the cook to flat out try to prove us wrong in the first place.. It's not like we were asking for the whole salad to be made again.. It was just a little avocado. :/ all in all, the food was pretty good tho, for bar food. I don't think we would go back... Maybe it was a bad night? I'm not sure. We just were not feeling it and it was kind of frustrating. Our server was good, the problems were not really her fault.. Just kind of a weird situation.
