Pricey, charging for using heavy cream or half n half instead of milk is not fair

I hate going to this Starbucks, the only reason I do is for the convenient location on ASU campus. The staff is horrible! A girl in front of me in line asked for a water with her drink (every other location I've been to will happily give you any size of iced water with an order) and they said they only give the smallest size and she said they could charge her for the largest one and they just said no. I'm not sure why this location refuses to give water! They also won't accept the rewards cards (of course) so if you buy 12 drinks here you won't get a free one. They make the drinks very fast (not in a good way) and sloppy.

The staff seem to be mostly ASU students, so they don't always seem fully awake in the morning. I've never had them be rude to me but every now and then they mix up a drink or something doesn't get communicated from cashier to barista. I sit here a lot to study and while the regulars don't get bothered over an occasional mix-up, it's fun to watch first-timers get irritated and shaking their heads to each other as they walk out the door and begin verbally pre-drafting their 1 - star reviews. The location is very convenient and lines are significantly less than at the Arizona center location. But remember that this is basically a college campus Starbucks, at the bottom floor of a college dorm, and that will either grow on you and you"ll get to know the kids that run it, or you'll let your day be ruined when the occasional mistake gets made by a groggy student. I know there are a bunch of low rated reviews on yelp, but again, from observing customers here I think that most people have too much of a hair trigger for what sets them off when it comes to customer service. If you've been treated rudely that's one thing, but if you're simply dealing with a delay, cut these kids some slack and don't blast them on yelp.

Very convenient for college students downtown at ASU. Service is fine, it just depends on the amount of people in line. Although they do seem to run out of baked goods and some teas throughout the day.

This Starbucks makes my beverage correct every time. However, more often than not, they always seem to be out of chai tea or soy milk, which is quite frustrating. Also, they tend to be out of stock of cup sizes; most frequently, venti. Considering the specific demographic of the area (thirsty college students that just want their beverage in between classes), and the fact that the Starbucks is connected directly to Taylor place, their supply and demand should be figured out by now, and they should be prepared for this steady stream of customers.

Worst coffee drink I have ever had and it only cost my $4.65. I absolutely hate giving one star reviews, but this place needs to figure out how to make their signature coffee drinks instead of handing out a cup of milk with ice. The service was friendly, but the entire time I was there I couldn't help but feel a little out of place due to all the freshman year ASU students sporting their Victoria's Secret PINK gear. The line was long, but they were staffed appropriately so the wait time was minimal. I knew I should have gone to Cartel, I need to stick to my gut! One star for friendly, inadequate service.

Clean, friendly and (usually) fast. All the bad reviews for this place were months ago, so I'll assume that they've drastically improved since then. It's the perfect place to stop for a some caffeine when I'm working downtown, and the staff is not only skilled but also very nice!

I've been here multiple times and the service has been pretty ok, but today sent me over the edge. There was a kid working there named Devon (I think) and he was rude, slow, and didn't get my order right. The line was long, wrapping around the entire store, however it usually only takes a few minutes for the cashiers to get through everybody. However, Devon (or whoever) was one of the cashiers and was slowing down the entire process. He kept getting frustrated with customers orders and repeatedly turned to the other cashier for help, in turn slowing her down. Then, I saw him get frustrated and belligerent with the pastry-warming machine after he couldn't find the right button to press. I finally order my drink - only to find out they're out of EVERY size cup except for grande (YOU HAVE ONE JOB). This isn't the first time I've been to this location with them out of inventory (I thought they would learn by now to order more due to demand). Then lucky me - Devon makes my drink. He fumbled with the ingredients for at least 4 minutes (mind you the volume in the store was high and the drinks were lining up), and when I got my drink it was completely wrong. He also pretty much threw it down on the counter and walked away. The only reason I'll ever be returning to this location is because of the convenience. Being a manager in the past, I would say the management of this location needs to buckle down and get it together. There are plenty of other friendly, efficient baristas that have made my experience there awesome, but Devon needs to get out of the kitchen if he can't stand the heat.

Man, Starbucks, way to completely butcher my requested pumpkin spice latte. The pumpkin powder was still floating around the edges of the cup and it tasted awful too. I've had this drink at many Starbucks and this is the only place that messed it up. I'm no longer surprised at the low reviews!

This is the worst Starbucks of all time. Drinks are always bad -- or completely wrong. Slow service. Disgusting bathrooms. Annoying baristas. I only go here if I'm desperate for caffeine, in a rush, and don't have time to walk to Royal...

Very friendly employees and whenever they make a mistake they will just give you the other drink for free. Great if you need coffee in a hurry.

I've been here a few times, whether to waste time waiting for something or someone or bum off the wi-fi. So far all my experiences here have been pleasant. Considering it's location on the downtown ASU campus, I've never seen it crowded or messy. I feel bad for the suckers that live on the upper floors of the building in the dorms, smelling all that Starbucky goodness in the morning and their inability to obtain it due to their on-campus student budget! Sarcasm there, I really don't do Starbucks Coffee or any of their specialty drinks if I can help it. Late afternoon yesterday, after a day of fighting with ASU and their course enrollment hardassedness, I choose to grab a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino to keep me awake enough to get on the shuttle. The barista added a carmel drizzle, which doesn't normally go with this kind of drink, but was a nice touch of creativity...well basically as creative as Starbucks can get. This morning, was less stressful, and I got the same drink, same niceness of the staff, still surprisingly clean (I'm still trying to catch it in the same state that Korina has experienced it) and the same beverage. Strange thing, about three different people in and around that Starbucks were wearing Guinness branded t-shirts, coincidence? Maybe so. But if the two beverage companies are planning some massive merger, I want royalties for noticing it first!

Actually run by Aramark, this Starbucks is part of the Taylor Place shops of the downtown campur of ASU. Staffed by students, service is typically friendly, if a bit slow. The real problem is they must be even more lackadaisical about cleaning the place. The coffee fixins station is always covered in crumbs and spills, the refrigerated foods cooler is scantily-stocked, and what's left is withered up and stale, and the bathroom is just downright nasty. I shudder to think of the condition of the food and drink prep area.

I like this Starbucks since parking (which rarely ever full) is located just 20 feet from the front door. I've been lucky enough to experience their server fail a couple times and walked out with free drinks. If it's not for the large framed, frumpy, unfriendliest dark male Barista who works afternoons, I might give this spot 5 stars. He makes going there unwelcoming.

Wanna feel old? If so, this is theee Starbucks for you. It's manned and mostly filled with ASU students. That aside, it's your standard Starbucks with the same service you're accustom to.
