Not at all fancy, more like a really large 'dive', but good homestyle food. We had a great waitress who really knew her stuff and was friendly, she took great care of us. Can't be positive, but the french fries appeared to be homemade; they were delicious, perfectly cooked and quite a surprise since so few restaurants make their own.

It's a nice spot for breakfast and just under $15 for the two of us! Portions are huge and everything was cooked great! The veggies in the omelette were nice & crisp and the chorizo plate I got was equally nice! So glad we stopped in.

I'd give it 2.5 but it's more deserving of a 2 than a 3. Went there with the in-laws on Sunday. The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the smell. What is that? Smells almost like mildew or that old, nasty dish towel smell. The decor was terrible. I just had bacon and eggs. Too worried to have anything else. Asked for the scramble to be really well done and the bacon burned. Came out as ordered. The plastic cups that the iced tea was served in felt greasy and unclean. Wife had BLT and potato salad. Sandwich was average, potato salad below average. The in-laws split a rueben which they both loved. But they are old and who knows what condition their taste buds are in. Server was friendly.

I've been to Tiny's several times for breakfast and one time for dinner. We stopped for breakfast yesterday and they really deliver. I had sausage and eggs. the only disappointment was my sourdough toast looked like it wasn't toasted. I like my toast browned. but they are generous with their portions. I do think they need a makeover on the restaurant though. really dark when you walk in, and everything looks like it was decorated in the 80's. But I will go again.

Ugh!! Worst experience ever!! Can't even give it one star. We were recommended this "gem". I asked our waitress what she gets when she eats here? "I've never eaten here" (should've been our first clue.) I got the chicken fried steak. Think it was a thin slice of roast beef. Gravy seemed like thick milk w diced Spam. Green beans had been sitting in a pot. Don't think it was butter?? Friend got the Monte Cristo. It's was a big "glob". Turkey was spoiled. We told the "waitress" that wasn't good. "Here's your bill...do you need your copy of your charge?"

My family stopped for dinner after a 10 hr drive. The spaghetti and meatballs were exceptional, and the blue cheese salad dressing was the best I've ever eaten. Great service too! My new favorite! I will definitely stop again.

Great food, good size portions, excellent value for the price. I am visiting from San Francisco and am accustomed to very good quality restaurant food. My expectations were quite low for this place but there weren't many restaurant options nearby. I was impressed with all the fresh vegetables in my egg white omelette. Hash Browns were cooked nicely although far too large a portion. My boyfriend said his steak was excellent and the biscuits and gravy "phenomenal". Service was a bit slow considering the small number of customers at the time but our waitress was very polite and the prices were unbelievably low. Will come back if I'm in the area again..

We stopped here hoping for some dinner after a long drive. Waited 40 minutes, and all we got were drinks, gelatinous "soup", and attitude. One guy came out and said there was a "mishap" in the kitchen and asked what we ordered, but wouldn't elaborate on what the heck was going on. When the waitress "decided" to mosey on over and check on us, she was irritated that we asked about the supposed mishap, and was more concerned with "who said that" than anything else. If I could give it negative stars I would...we left abruptly without eating, and even though we were literally the only customers in our dining room, I doubt they've even noticed we're gone... Horrible!!!! Shut this place DOWN, or at least hire some help with half a brain. Will never go back.

Their braised chicken is great and plenty of it. As for breakfast their omelets, well, one person's was great (quality and quantity) and mine was strange. Supposed to be a Denver omelet but was more like scrambled eggs with the ingredients mixed in and with no noticeable cheese. The hash browns were just grated potatoes heated up - no seasoning, etc. The waitress was a little lacking for the breakfast time. The interior could use a little attention. This was the first time I've experienced a meal (Denver omelet) that wasn't up to their usual. That, coupled with the other detractors, lead to the rating.

It was Thanksgiving day and we were on our way home riding our Harley so we stoped in for a dinner. The Food was good and enjoyed the ourselfs. Prices are very reasonable and the people friendly. After we got on the bike and rode home to Chandler. I descovered I was missing my perscription eye glassed and my wallet too. So I called and spoke to a woman and told her my story thinking maybe I forgot it in the booth we sat at. The woman said it was locked up in the safe. So thankful, I had a friend who was in Payson pick up the glasses and wallet. When I got the wallet everything was in place! Cash, credit cards, and gift cards too. NOTHING was taken so thankful for honest people and for that I Highly Recomend Tiny's Family Restaurant. Thank you so very much for a awesome Thanksgiving! God Bless

Unfortunately, I do believe this place gave me food poisoning. My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful weekend in Payson, hiking Tonto Natural Bridge then checking out the trails on Control road. Our weekend was to be capped off with a good Sunday breakfast, but everyplace in town had people waiting out the door for a table. I remembered Tiny's, we had eaten a light dinner there some time before, and I thought they might have served breakfast, too. I should have recognized the half empty dining room at ten am on a Sunday for what it was - a warning. But instead, we ate. My boyfriend did not finish his meal, but I did eat most of my Denver Omelette. And I was fine, for about an hour. The pain and the sweating started about an hour out of town. I actually live near Glendale, it was brutal driving that far with my symptoms. I spent the day in bed. While I spent my Sunday indisposed, I learned through some research that this restaurant has had issues with bad food inspection grades in the past. I don't believe I'll ever eat there again.

Looking for a new breakfast spot in Payson since we have parked our motorhome there for the summer. We tried Tiny's this morning and it was excellent. Service was very good, friendly and fast. I had eggs, homemade chicken fried steak, great hash browns, toast that was actually toasted and buttered, and there sausage gravy was outstanding. My wife had eggs and homemade hash and again her meal was also outstanding. We will be back portions are huge!

Good food and good prices. We saw, amazed at some people ordering the 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes for $1.98 mid week mornings. Ii didn't see it on menu but next time I'll be gettin that as I think much of the food is better than McDonalds in price for what one gets and I do like value. We enjoyed omlettes with coffee I found out was ground fresh. There is some furnishing problems but I find that at many resturants as they stear through the long recession. Was in a nice Phx place with tattered vinyl. I am not that picky about many things but concerned how people handle food. and from all appearences and I had no concerns at Tinys. Slowly turning into my number 1 place to go for breakfast which is our main going out meal.

I really like this place. We (as a family or just as a couple when on a quiet weekend without the kids) we like to stop by at Tiny's. Everything is made fresh. I like that. After having been there half a dozen times, I am not a huge fan of the decor, but I love the courteous super friendly service and fast fresh food. Over all it may not be everyone's idea of good, My guy says that it feels like an old mob hang out, with the over sized chairs, the old style layout, the bathroom and lobby decor and above all, the horse racing you can watch in the lounge My food is always consistent, never tasted bad, and really reasonably priced, we have a cabin up north and drive through Payson often, its nice to have somewhere reliable that we can stop at and know the food will be better by far than the fast food down the road and it won't take 90 minutes to get back on the road either. If I could come up with a gripe, it would be that my salad is always watery, which in a strange way is reassuring for me because I know they are washing the lettuce. We will go back again, probably in a few weeks while on our next trip up.

My boyfriend and I found Tiny's as we were cruising through Payson looking for a good breakfast. We wanted a local place rather than a national chain restaurant. We happened upon Tiny's on 260 and noticed quite a few cars in the parking lot, which is a great indicator. The interior is old and absolutely nothing special, however, I did notice some family pictures on the walls, which was pretty sweet. It was also pretty clean. I had the biscuits and gravy, bacon, and hash browns for breakfast, which was some of the BEST biscuits and gravy that I've had in YEARS!! It was nicely flavored with a generous amount of sausage in the sausage gravy (go figure!). The biscuits were huge, soft and flaky. The amount of food was incredible!! The potato hash browns filled up a full size dinner plate. My boyfriend had french toast, eggs, and sausage which was also a nicely sized portion. The server was friendly and attentive and chatted a bit when I initiated the conversation. We left Payson feeling like we've found our breakfast spot for our next weekend jaunt... We tried another place the next morning... and Tiny's won over for food, service, and cleanliness!!

First off I should let you know, I'm a server at a national chain so I understand the business. I've seen many kitchens from national chains to country clubs... Filthy and gross! I went there with my son (9) and my mom (50's). We sat down just as they were changing over from the breakfast to lunch service and asked if my son could still get a pancake, the server said no. She never even asked a cook or manager or anything. I ordered coffee and the cup she brought was dirty (still had lipstick on it) then I looked at my silverware and that too was dirty. My mom then checked hers and it was also dirty. When the server (an older lady [60's ish] ) came back I let her know and she used the dirty rag she had in her hand to wipe it off. We promptly got up and left. That was just unreal! Filthy place and bad service!

Food was ok but the environment needs a lot of work. I felt like I was at a cafeteria in the early 90s. We are just passing through Payson and if we come back this way we will look for somewhere else to eat.

Only have had breakfast here, it's so good I refuse to have anything else! Biscuits and gravy, among best I've ever had.

Old / Musty smelling and not very clean. The food was decent but we won't be back, just too hard to get over the funky smells.

was totally dissapointed with a lot here. waited almost 10 minutes to be seated and while I was waiting I noticed that pie & desert display glass was so filthy that it was hard to tell what was in it. omlet tasted funny. slow service and unhappy servers made us leave without finishing our meal.

Loads of pickup trucks out front announced this as a big appetite breakfast haven. That and more was offered. Being a dry toast and fruit person, I was overwhelmed and ready for Tums. For big old greasy breakfast lovers, this is THE place in Payson.
