Came here for a burger the other day and it was very good. The place is similar to a fast food joint and you order your food at the counter, they give you a number for your table and you find a place to sit and wait for your food to come to you. I had the green chile burger with 'shrooms and it was messy but tasty. The order came out with a plastic red wire basket with my order of sweet potato fries and my burger wrapped in butcher paper. Part of me wished I had a plate for it all since I did get the table messy, but it kind of added to the charm of the place. I will definitely be back to try out some of their other burgers. P.S. There is an ice cream shop attached to the restaurant that is owned by the same person and it also very good. A nice way to end the meal.

This place was recommended as "the best burger place in Page" from our tour guide at Lower Antelope Canyon. By no means is it the worst burger I have ever had, but I guess my expectations were really high. It was good, but not as good as I was expecting with the rave reviews from our tour guide. I blame growing up in Texas... I ordered a cheese burger with pepperjack cheese and extra pickles and sweet potato fries. The patty was well cooked, the cheese was nice and spicy, the pickles were lacking in flavor and amount, and the fries came in a big order! Honestly, two people can split 1 order of fries (sweet potato or regular) and be fine. The sweet potato fries were good and came with a side of ranch to dip them in, I really liked that! My roommate got the green chili burger and she said it was good, but could have been better and spicier. The regular fires were really good too, and their special sipping sauce was pretty good on both types of fries! The atmosphere was cute, I like the decorations, and the staff was friendly and funny. The prices are reasonable, especially being in a small, highly tourist town. Although, add-ons make the price go up very quickly!

We ate at this little restaurant after our raft trip. The food is very good and the beer is cold (local brews available too). Bargain prices too!

Nailbanger Here Again:Travling through town on our way to the Pacific Northwest, needed to grab a quick bite and be on our way. This place is a locals favorite, and highly rated in reviews,so we gave it a shot. Here is the good news first, the food is very good and made to order fresh. You order at the window and they bring it out to you.I had the Green Chili Cheese Burger with French Fries and Onion Rings, all very good. The Quick bite took longer than expected, but not crazy long. The potion size and the cost was disappointing $13 dollars and change. You decide .Plenty of parking and not far from the Hwy exit.Enjoy tripadvisor.com/ShowUser…

We stopped here before a tour we were going on because it was right across the street. And Slackers was only okay. The burgers and sandwiches were just all right, but a little over priced. The prices look okay until you see how much you have to pay to add on fries and a drink (sandwich was $5.25, then fries and a drink was $4.25 more.) OH, and you have to pay more if you want toppings. ($1.25)

Great Cheeseburgers! They have a large menu but the only thing I had was the burger and it was terrific. It was also nice to go the the ice cream shop next to it for dessert.

Ate this afternoon, moderate in taste, okay place to have a burger or sandwich, I was hoping to find a vegetarian burger, they did not have, but the hot veggie sandwich was good enough to fill up Page needs some vegetarian friendly restaurants

Wow...what a great burger. I had the green chili burger whole green chili, not chopped, pepper jack with tater tots and a drink. Whenever I am looking for a great burger, I think of Slackers in Page Az. I recommend everyone should go to Slackers. The price is reasonable, the food is great, and the service is fast. Why go to a chain burger joint when you can get a better meal for a comparable price? Read the sayings on their shirts!

Had the Schmitt Salad and the Buffalo Burger...both were excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Despite the name, they don't slack on their food! Classic American burger joint. Fast service, as well as friendly. Good food and great prices. We both had the cheese burgers, one with sweet potato fries (that came with tasty ranch dressing) the other with regular fries- both superb. We would recommend this place to anyone lookin' for a great place to eat and be pleasantly full.

This place is a diamond in the rough, if you order the correct thing. I have been here a few times now when I am in Page for work. Steer clear of the chicken strips, and go for the burgers. They are fantastic! Fries are tasty, service is great, I really enjoy eating here, but seriously, don't get the chicken strips.

The burgers my family had were great! The green chili was my favorite. They also have a yummy "fry" sauce that you can add on your burger or just dip your fries in. The price was good and the food was made quick.

This place is in a strip mall. $5-$6 for a burger and they have a few other things if you don't want a burger. The place is not fancy but don't let that discourage you. I had the green chili burger. It had a slice of green chili in it and it was not hot. Wife and son had a regular cheese burger and they said it was good. Now why I give it 3 stars is because my daughter ordered the chicken strip basket and they forgot to bring it with the rest of the food. Actually they forgot to even make it and she had to wait while everyone else had their food. This is where the 3 stars come from.

Really good burger. Stop. Average fries. Stop. Service was ok. Stop. Would go back. Stop.

When we were choosing restaurants in Page, my uncle said, how can there be good beef here in the middle of no where. Until we came to Slacker... goodness... you have to come here. This is probably the best food we had in Page and we ate out twice a day (with only 40 restaurants to choose including fast food). The burger was flame broil so nicely that the outside is crispy while inside is moist and juicy. I had a pepper steak sandwich which was awesome and ended up ordering another burger just because they smell and look so good... and it taste awesome! I'm not a big burger guy but darn, if I live in Page, I'm sure I'll come here every week. Must try!

I had the green Chile burger (whole Chile, not chopped) and was introduced to my new favorite burger joint. The patty was perfect. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, Chiles - all very fresh. The fries were as good as they get. The place was spotless and the people extremely friendly. I will be back whenever I'm in Page!

Great place to eat ! What would Page be like with Slackers? It's unique, charming and has tons of personality. Oh did I mention amazing burgers and food, plus and ice cream shop next door.

I don't expect much from the food in a small town but a good burger should be something you should be able to find there. Slackers was pretty horrible. Not sure if the burger patties are frozen costco ones or if they just overcook them so much that they taste like cheap patties. I ordered a bacon cheese mushroom burger with no onions. I got a bacon cheese burger with onions. It was gross. The burger was so overcooked I couldn't eat it. The cheese wasn't even melted but then again since it wasn't really cheese more like a "cheese product" I shouldn't be surprised. The French Spouse got a grilled cheese sandwich which was two slices of processed cheese on hamburger buns. She also got a side salad which at least was a good size and didn't make her sick. It took a long time to get the food and we had to listen to a racist in the booth behind us talk about how most black women have AIDS and other racist crap. Avoid this place. Sonic would be better and Sonic is gross.

The food was only mediocre !!! When we arrived one of our friends went into the ladies room.... The first stall was not only over flowing with feces but the entire toilet had been written on with it.... There were 2 stalls.... If the employees use this same bathroom....why was it not reported??? So that employee does not was their hands .... We will never go in there again .!! It was so disgusting!

A group of us came here after doing a tour of antelope canyon. We were hoping to get some food and we choose slackers over the BBQ joint across the street, BAD IDEA. Service was nice and friendly but the food wasn't great. Everything tasted and looked like it came from frozen prepackaged meals from Costco. Even the buns looked like it came from Costco and the Philly cheese sandwich barely had any steak in it.

Yet another great Yelp-assisted find. It's not Bachi Burger gourmet, but the burger I had sure was delicious. Slackers is located in an unassuming strip mall type place in the heart of Page. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. I went with the pastrami burger after verifying that it's not just pastrami, but rather pastrami on top of a burger patty. Sold! The burger was oozing with deliciousness. I'm getting hungry right now just thinking about it. There wasn't a ton of pastrami, but enough to make it a balanced burger. In fact, I'd say that all of the ingredients (cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc) came together perfectly and held together well. I hate it when a burger falls apart and is hard to eat. I also had sweet potato fries on the side. Those were as good as expected. I found it interesting that they were crinkle cut sweet potato fries. I don't think I've had that before. Overall, a nice little burger joint and well worth a lunch visit.

Very well made, delicious and feeling burgers, but it's not just a burger join. Slackers has very good sandwiches as well. Like others said sweet potato fries and onion rings are very good. Not the biggest place but it has plenty of room, clean, and friendly staff. Hope you give Slackers a chance, you won't be disappointed.

NIce staff, short wait for food. Good fries. Disappointing burger had too much of a charred flavor, not much else. Unfortunately, this place is not the brother of the Slackers in Torrey, UT, which is amazing.

Food just OK. Crap 70's music playing at ear splitting levels (I measured 104 db peaks). First meal I've eaten with ear plugs in. Avoid, unless you are deaf or have first class hearing protection available.

  • Ruben G.

Had the buffalo burger, onion rings and a drink. It did not taste very buffalo-y like a special type of burger should, although it was a bit over cooked, it still tasted good. Onion rings were good, not the normal breading on it. Seemed like a solid enough place considering the location. Service did take a while, but the place is called slackers.

Considering what it is (a no frills burger joint), I don't think you can go wrong eating here.

Great green chili burgers! Good prices. Would DEFINITELY go here again!

This place is a little hidden in a strip mall, but the food was really really good. You go up to the counter and order and they bring you the food. Very casual, but the food was fantastic. I ordered a pastrami burger and fries combo. (I added jalapenos) The burger was very large, cooked perfectly, and had tasty pastrami on top. It also had grilled onions and provolone and was very juicy and fresh. The fries were kind of average, but the burger made up for that. The price was average for the town and I'll go back again for sure.

Ate there two nights in a row. First night I ordered a buffalo cheeseburger. It was good for a cheeseburger, but not that good for a buffalo cheeseburger. Second night I ordered a green chili burger. May have been the best burger I have ever had. Not very crowded and fast service. I would highly recommend Slackers.

Our whole family enjoyed our lunch! The buffalo burger was great! My husband had the bacon burger and said it was good meat, just needed a little salt. My kids both had grill cheese. It was a good place to take kids. And one of the only good places to stop for food on the long drive from Utah to Arizona. We'd go again. The owner and everyone who worked there was friendly too.

Had a mushroom burger meal and it was just ok. For $10 burger, I guess I was expecting a little bit more. There is a sonic nearby and I wish I had gone there instead. This is no five guy burger!

If you like burger joints, Slackers is your local choice. Sonics is close by if you like the chains. It is no more, no less, than the local burger joint that has a great local reputation. A good burger - but have had better. In Page, this is your choice (along with Sonic) for the burger urge. It is connected to an ice cream shop so you can feed all of your sins in one stop. Safeway is accross the street if you are loading up and Walmart is nearby.

  • Shattered T.

The sandwiches are really small! I was still hungry when I finished eating! I've been dragged here three times (turkey sandwich, pastrami sandwich and burger) and it was disappointing every time. They tasted okay - yes, just okay, not great. They were just so small!!!! When I was there last night it took 35 minutes to get my burger!!!! And they weren't even busy!!! I'm in town for a while but won't be coming back here. Never. Not even if the food was free.

Arguably the best lunch spot in town. Great sandwichs and burgers. these guys are fast, good, and are reasonably priced for the town of Page. Definatly hit them up if you get the chance.

Hidden away in a shopping mall but worth stopping for. If you like burgers there are a lot of different options and you can also get some other items. The steak sandwich was good and the reuben burger was something different and worth trying. Everything seemed to be made fresh.

Traveling from Florida to California and this was the best hamburger. Had the Mushroom Burger and wanted to go back the next day but we were 100 miles away. Will be back.

Great burgers and sandwiches. Simple ingredients, executed well. Staff is friendly and accommodates special orders gladly. Service is fast-casual: you order at the counter, and they bring it to you when it's ready. Shady patio great for dining outdoors on a warm afternoon. Relatively inexpensive: sandwich, drink, and fries run $7-10.

Wow went here for lunch the other day. Quality burger, not as good as Five Guys or Cheeburger Cheeburger. But very good non the less. Fresh cut fries were a great! Would definitely go back here!

Tasty fast casual burgers with good toppings, and service much better than the name implies. They've also got some different types of sides - I had the sweet potato fries, which were cooked just right. The drink selection isn't too bad, either. I'd go back.

The burgers are great, the staff is very polite and the dining room is very clean, what else could you ask for! Keep up the great work slackers!

Ordered the hot veggie sub. The peanuts in it gave an interesting taste, but didn't like it after a while. The veggies inside were cooked a tad bit too long resulting in it being soggy. Probably should have expected that the food portion would have been small considering how the price is cheap. If you want to fulfill your empty stomach, I suggest going to Subway which is right across the parking lot, and getting a footlong for the same price.

Well, we were in Page,AZ to go on an Antelope Canyon Tour but got there about an hour early. I asked the guy in the tour office on where he recommended to go get something to eat and he said to go here. Even though usually the locals know best I still checked Yelp for reviews and it looked good. I am glad we ended up eating here. I had a Bacon cheese burger with jalapeno peppers and onion ring and my wife had a Cold Club sandwich with frys. We both really liked the food, the service was good and it had that home town feel. If we are back in Page, we will go back for sure.

Slackers, formerly known as 'The Sandwich Place', is one of the couple of decent restaurants in Page. Actually, it's more than decent. It's delicious! Living in Page for 8 + years, this place has been great ever since I can remember. We lived next door to the owners for a few years, and they were awesome people. So great to see that they have successfully expanded and still serve the same 'quality grub'. The burgers are amazing. You know these aren't frozen patties they pull out of a freezer, but the real deal. The toppings are always amazingly fresh, and their "special sauce" (which we in Page call, "fry sauce, oddly I have never seen it down here in Phoenix) is to die for. Not to mention the fries. Perfectly crispy and always hot. I will admit, the service is a little slow, it always has been, but it's not a big deal given that the atmosphere is more "relax and lay back". They're not open Sundays, and during the tourist season (May - August), they're constantly busy. The burgers are really worth it, though. Haven't tried any of the dinners yet, I can imagine they would be alright, however I'm a little nervous considering there are only three menu options and they've always just done burgers. If you're ever in town, or tired after a day on the lake, stop into Slackers. You'll definitely thank me later.

A very average burger. Fries weren't bad. Definitely not a Five Guys or Smashburger.

Juicy, juicy hamburgers. I had the green chile burger with pepper jack cheese, which rocked. My family just turned the corner after coming back from the Antelope Canyon Tour and it was a great choice for lunch and for cooling down.
