I think this is the best Chinese food in Tucson. Very clean, great attentive and friendly service, and wonderful fresh, clean food. The quality shows here versus other Chinese places. Pork fried rice is awesome, and I don't usually like fried rice at all. Crab puffs are unique and great. Hot and sour soup and egg rolls are good too. I didn't care for their orange chicken sauce because it was very sweet and not tangy enough, but I'm sure a lot of people would like their version of orange sauce. Sesame chicken, chicken and snow peas, beef and Broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, all great.
My friends really liked this place so I finally ordered some take out yesterday. I was surprised by how really good the food tasted. Great price for an ample portion. Good fast service for take out. Will try sit down next time.
ordered egg rolls to go and I'm sad to say they were pretty bad. They taste like old grease however, I will say that the last time we actually ate in the restaurant (sometime mid 2014) it was very good. And as I recall the service was good. I do not recommend egg rolls to go however.

High hopes, low delivery. The service was super friendly and fast and that was about the only positive. I have no issue with paying money - even a lot of money - for good food, but I don't like to pay more than average for less than average. The best thing on the menu was the shrimp fried rice - that was actually delicious. The broccoli in the beef and broccoli was under cooked, and the chicken mushroom something was just that - something I'm not sure but with a very bad aftertaste. There are not a lot of restaurants in Oro Valley and so was excited to try something new. Too bad this was a "swing and a miss". You'd be better off hitting up the panda express and saving a few bucks.
This is a hyped up place if I ever heard of one. I got some noodles and veggies and my boyfriend ordered pad Thai. It sure was not pad Thai, it was kind of pink. My food was mediocre.
I have been wanting to check this place out for some time now and was pleasantly rewarded. The staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in door. The place is a little on the small side but that only lends to intimate feel you get when your there. I had the red Thai curry and I enjoyed it very much. My meal was flavorful and the ingredients were fresh, the beef was tender and thinly sliced. I am glad I tried Grain River Asian Bistro and I think you will be too.

Like all In n Out's. Simple, clean,good food,good value!
It's no secret that In-n-out has put the glitz and glamour back into fastfood like it must of had 30 years ago! Never a wrong order, always a smile... sometimes a line. Gotta wait for what's good! I've been off a meat kick so I get the "secret" grilled cheese but with the fries and milkshake, of course! Great stuff, OV location is lots of fun!
Today's the day that I apparently review all the chain restaurants that I've been to in the last year. This is extra helpful for my new diet, right? Anyway, onto the food. Ok so it's a chain, and everyone who likes In-N-Out knows that they're great anyway; juicy burgers, great animal fries (plain fries are lacking in my opinion but I have a friend that used to live off them) and awesome service all make up In-N-Out. But I feel like not all In-N-Out's are created equal. I live near this one which may be in the middle of nowhere for most of you who live in central Tucson but I have to say they make the best and most consistent Animal Fries. I've been to a few in Tucson and this one just always is my favorite. The worst Animal Fries offender had to be the one on I-10 and Kino near the new Costco. I ate there a few times when I was helping the Grand Opening of the Costco. Not only was I a 100 years old by the time I got my food most of the time, it just wasn't nearly as satisfying. Either way, if you are in the OV area get some Animal Fries from this particular In-N-Out. So good :) It makes my mouth water thinking about it.

All around a great restaurant. My husband and I go every month or so. The prices have gone up a little bit since we started going, but that could be an indication that the economy is getting better. A couple of times the food has not been up to par, however, upon mention the restaurant took care of it. The service has always been wonderful.
Jon our waiter was awesome!! I have kids and they can be a handful for some waiters. Jon was great if u have kids make sure u get seated in his area and the food was pretty decent for the price.
We were new to the area and we frequently drive by the restaurant so we tried. Ambiance was great and the food was okay, not quite my expectation of it. Older crowd, a bit too loud for my child. He can scream and we would not hear him. So loud hat I thought the waiter said pay when you exit and I bet he was scared we walked away with a receipt without paying a big bill. Could be a good place to hang out with sophisticated people but I don't think you'll be able to hear each other.

Yum. Great staff great food
OK, fair food not bad price. Reminds me of Jerry Bob's but not as good and more expensive. Burger was well done instead of med-rare. Special corn beef melt was packed pre sliced meat, not much like corned beef. Waitress was really nice, excellent service.
This is as good as it gets for home cooking that is delicious, friendly people that honestly are happy to greet you and give great service! We have tried other small restaurants in our area and some don't even greet you or offer a table when you enter. This place is a home run and we are so happy they came to Oro Valley! Only thing lacking is a bigger sign so folks will see the restaurant!

Ok I know I going to be in for bad times when I ordered the bun (bOOn) with the vietnamese pronunciation and the lady taking the order paused and then said oh you want the bun (BUHN) as if she was talking about the bread that you put a hot dog into. It was bar none the worst bun I have ever had burnt tofu under cooked noodles and a sauce that should have been thrown away. My special lady friend ordered Laksa, I knew she was in for a horrific time when the lady said oh you want LASka. Putting S&B curry powder into a shameful Pho and calling it laksa is like pulling out the inside of a mcrib and calling them spare ribs. I also like how the soup came with a side of soup seriously I dont know. The very guero friendly american chinese dishes are well executed I cant believe I am saying this but, If they dont have it on a panda express menu dont order it here. Stick to things like cashew chicken, orange chicken, and beef and broccoli. Or you will be sad, I know I was. Or better yet come with me to OLD PEKING the only place in town for chinese food. or the Chinese BBQ guy in the front of lee lee oriental market.
Vegetable Tempura here is pretty good. The Tofu Pad Thai is delicious as well. Be careful ordering anything with chicken though because sometimes it tastes "off." I figured once was just a fluke, twice was strange, and three was a pattern. So, I steer clear of the chicken now. Also, if you're ordering something with mushrooms like my husband did, they might be from a can (it was obvious). The service is great and they're never too busy. I really like that.
My in-laws go here about once a week because they love it so much. While visiting them on Christmas vacation, we stopped here for lunch to join in one of their favorite activities. They have great lunch specials before 3pm. You get hot tea, an egg roll, a chicken wing, soup, and your main entree all for $7.50 or less. They have a good selection and even offer Vietnamese pho (which was okay). It's a small restaurant with great service.

Americanized tasteless Mexican food. The "deluxe lunch burrito" was the size of an enchilada and the red sauce was so bland it might have been tomato juice. I ordered "the beef", but was tempted to ask "where's the beef?". The salsa was marginal and the chips were as tasteless as the rest of the meal.
Our go to Mexican resturant! Food is always good. I FINALLY had the enchilada sauce, the sauce has a deep rich favor. But what keeps bringing us back again and again is the staff. The staff is friendly and more than attentive. Kudos go to Victor (makes a great magarita) and Elisa for fantastic service, we are treated like long lost family. Thanks again!
after read all the positive review I had really high hopes. Upon arrival we were seated quickly, but that's where the prompt service ended. After being served chips and salsa we waited another 5 minutes before we received menus and our drink order was taken. Ten minutes after the server asked if we wanted to order. We started with the ceviche and it was good not great but good. Sometime later the server took are dinner order I ordered small chili relleno plate. The relleno was a poblano pepper and was ok. The rice lacked color and flavor two bites and I decided it was not for me. The refried beans had an odd flavor. If you are looking for an authentic Mexican keep looking this is not the place.

How do they do it? The sashimi slices keep getting bigger! Posted pictures of sashimi and monkey brains. The owners John and Vanessa are so friendly and always remember me when I come in. My favorite sushi restaurant in all of Tucson. It is 4:20 PM on a Monday, restaurant is already half-full!
I decided to try a new place to get sushi, so I ordered the Philly Roll, Rainbow Roll, and California Roll for take out. The miso soup was okay. Not fantastic, but not bad. The sushi pieces were cut pretty large, some just way too large to fit comfortably in your mouth. Additionally, I don't think the Cali Roll or Rainbow Roll were rolled very well, as when I tried to use chopsticks to pick them up, the bottom would fall out and it would completely fall apart. I ended up abandoning the chopsticks and using a fork. The crab they use tastes sort of weird, and I usually love imitation crab. The Philly Roll was okay, but not great. To be honest, I only ate a couple pieces of the California Roll before I abandoned it. The Rainbow Roll I was pretty unimpressed with. I would personally steer clear and look elsewhere. I've found a couple sushi places I enjoy, although my favorite doesn't do take out. I tried this place before it had decent reviews, but I honestly couldn't believe it was so bad for the good reviews it has. I definitely won't ever be going back.
The food was ok. But the service was terrible. We waited for 30 minutes after our meal was done before we could flag down someone to bring the check. Mind you there were only 3 dinners in the restaurant at the time. The sushi roll was covered in sauce and that overpowered the flavor of the fish. The orange chicken was just fried chicken strips very slightly breaded smothered in a thick sweet sauce.

When we moved to Oro Valley we stumbled into this place on a whim. The deluxe veggies and rice was tasty. I always get a veggie egg roll, soup, and the fried rice!! Everything we've tried from here is delicious and the staff is always nice! The lunch portions are big. Everything is price good too!
Excellent food, very reasonably priced, and good service. What more could you ask for in a restaurant? I'm a regular.
We used to eat here quite often and years ago it was really good. Now the food quality has went way down. The last time we ate here, we both got sick and have not been back since. Eat here at your own risk!
