Grand Canyon Lodge

Considering I scored last minute reservations 24 hours before arriving, I was happy. However, the hotel rooms reserved were super small (the Queen bed promised was more like a double), but otherwise reasonable accomodations for the price. Sort of wish I could have scored a cabin. Next time... The employees at the Lodge made up for anything lacking in the rooms. Highly recommend you spend some time on the patio sitting in front of the fire. Beware: if you tend to have altitude sickness, you will probably need to take it easy. The North Rim and the lodge sit at almost 9000 feet.
This is one of those amazing lodges that exist in our National Park System with the most amazing viewing room of the canyon. We were there during a thunderstorm and the view was incredible. The dining lodge is really sub-par but the rest of the accommodations, ranger services, etc are great. On a side note we had a person in our party with a health issue and they handled it so discreetly and efficiently I was very impressed. It was one gentlemen's first day there (Craig) and he was stellar. Thank you Grand Canyon for an amazing vacation!
Loved. This. Place. Cabins are super-adorable and quiet and very well-maintained. Staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating. We found the restaurant a little slow (but it was packed crowded) but the food was outstanding and that view...what can you say? We'll definitely be back.
