My family and I have eaten at Vero Amore several times, and we will go back again and again. In my previous career I was a Food and Beverage director for Hyatt Hotels. Part of my job description was to hire world class chef's. I know talent and this place puts on a beautiful performance on every plate. We try something new every time we go and have never been disappointed. The wine selection is not huge but does go quite well with the food, and the prices are very reasonable. If your not afraid of garlic then go there now!!

Exceptional service and food. Always aim to please! A great 5* experience! Wait staff is always attentive and the bartenders are creative. Caprese salad is a must!

We went on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. They have a very nice variety of craft beer on tap.The two bartenders were attentive and friendly. We were early, before 6 so our food came out a little too quickly. The food was good, portions a little small and dinner does not include a salad which most Italian places do. If it came with a salad it would have been perfect. One peculiar thing, my meal came with a lot of delicious soupy tomato sauce and only two tiny pieces of bread. When I asked for more bread I was given two more tiny pieces. Bread is not saffron, loosen up. The Ravenous Roofer

Excellent!!! Excellent!!! Excellent!!! Great service and fantastic food! We love this place!

Delicious wood-fire oven pizza. Really appreciate their non-traditional toppings and combinations. You must try their daily specials. We even enjoyed their mussels dish as it had a fantastic sauce. The interior design seems a bit indiscriminately put together because there does not appear to be a flow/purpose to the layout/decor. We typically order to go and we are quite happy with having a local non-chain pizza option!

Has neat outdoor patio that is quiet and comfortable. Service was a bit on the slow side, did not offer any suggestions but server was pleasant enough. Garlic bread is on the pricey side for portion and was not anything special at all. Menu is reasonably priced, with nice variety on lunch menu. I had calamari salad which was really good, but would ask for dressing on the side next time, as was heavy on the dressing. But flavors were nice, calamari was tender. Husband had the salami Panini was a large yummy portion. Only downfall was it was heavy on onions. We did really enjoy the atmosphere and food so we will be back.!!!

Excellent pizza. Not a fan of their pastas, but the pizza and calzones were pretty good. I do with they had an option for half orders or at least some type of kids menu (because it clearly isn't an adult only place, in my opinion), but other than that the service and food have always been delicious. We will definitely come back here since it's close to us!

Wow, this is good neapolitan pizza. The wait Staff was fabulous. The decor is so-so and the concrete floor is positively WW II bunker chic. I wish they had a better selection of craft beers but the IPA I had was excellent. I will be back.

First time here was a dream, food excellent, served quickly by one of the owners. Second time here, a nightmare. pizza crust soggy with lots of burnt areas. When I inquired about a cappucino, I was told the machine was taken out to make room for the wine cooler. Other issue; FLIES...what is with that? Will not return.

THE BEST RED SAUCE THIS SIDE OF ITALY! Bread, meatballs, and pizza are delicious, too. Good wine list with many wines sold by the glass. Service was efficient without being intrusive. This place is located in a new strip mall, but the atmosphere is pleasant and the food is amazing. Great value for the dollar.

If you are tired of all the easily replicated and not worth noting Italian chain restaurants in Tucson then you are in good company. Fortunately, Vero Amore is something else entirely. Mozzarella is made in house along with just about everything else making the food taste like it was made with both a sense of care and pride. I think this is some of the best pizza that Tucson has to offer. The Dove Mountain location is small but quaint and the staff have always been very friendly and helpful. Try the Quattro Formagi because any pizza featuring both gorgonzola and smoked mozzarella should leave your mouth watering and taste buds excited. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Just don't let the ghost town of a shopping complex that it is located in scare you away.

I went for lunch, and I had an incredible experience. One of my friends who is moving away lives in Marana, and usually we are stuck going to a chain restaurant on Cortaro. Vero Amore was a pleasant surprise for a restaurant that has a swanky environment but without the exorbitant prices. We ordered a salad to share, and I usually don't like spring mix, but these mixed greens were extremely fresh and mild tasting. The balsamic vinaigrette was mild yet rich; the portion was huge - we could have eaten about three plates of salad each. Meanwhile, we were admiring the decor. Plenty of booth seating and dark wood with some fancy accessories decorating the place. It would be a disservice to your tastebuds if you came to Vero Amore and did not order any pizza. The pizza is thin-crust but not like a cracker - it is almost too doughy, but I love it. I would love to make it some day soon. The toppings were fresh and had great proportion. Since it was thin, a 12" pizza seemed smaller and that is why salad is perfect. The best thing is that I felt light after the meal and was thankful to have shared a $20 experience with a great friend with amazing pizza.

All I can say is terrible! Ordered to go, 2 pizzas (each the size of a personal pizza) $25.00!!! Almost no cheese, topping were not correct. Truly terrible. I would honestly say Pizza hut or Papa Johns would be better.

Vero Amore definitely falls into my top three faves for Italian pizza in town. The ingredients are fresh, the dough is tasty, the house flat bread second to none and that herbed butter served in the side... Delicious! Vero Amore is casual and I like that. Its great for week night dinner but cozy and quaint for a date night too. The wine list is good and the beer list better. I've enjoyed pizzas, salads, panini a and mussels. The mussels were tasty but the tomato sauce lacked the richness you'd find in Italy. Nonetheless Vero Amore brings us a touch closer to Italy, all the way from the desert.

Just found out about this place and I wish I would've known about it sooner! Absolutely the best Italian food I've had in Arizona. I had the Chicken Mimosa, which I was hesitant to order because it made me think of orange juice, but thankfully was just a champagne, spinach and artichoke, cream sauce type thing :) And it was incredible. I got to try a few bites of a lussuria pizza and it was really good too! Only draw back is it's hidden in a run down shopping center and there aren't a lot of tables so you might have to wait, but it's worth it and if you've never been before you should check it out!

Similar to the other location I've been to more often, the pizza itself was good with generous toppings on a perfectly cooked Neapolitan pizza. The service here, however, was awful. The manager here needs to come up with a better system for his wait staff. Perhaps have servers manage the side room or the the main area, but not both. As is, they seem to cover both areas, but inadequately.

Cozy and delicious! Excellent! I rediscovered this place after the management of the restaurant next door totally ruined it, and was surprised how great it was! The food is exceptional, the service is prompt and courteous, and the prices are reasonable. If you like Italian, you owe it to yourself to check it out!

Hands down, the best Italian food in area. Almost never a wait, quick and personal service. The atmosphere is so nice for a date, or a family dinner. Excellent to accommodate food allergies and special requests.

Tucson isnt exactly somewhere i would expect to find great places to eat but i have to say Vero Amore is one of the best. I have visited on many occasions on dates with my girlfriend and with family. First off the pizza. The pizza is great! It is the perfect size with great flavors from the brick oven and moderately priced. Though i will say my favorite items on the menu are the mussels and the wood fire bread. The sause that comes with the mussels is outstanding especially with the bread. I keep the sause and use it to dunk my pizza crust in once i get to my pizza. The butter with the bread is also great! Some of the other items on the menu I am not in love with like some of the pastas. The location itself i have learned is a lot different than the swan location with great outdoor seating and actually has beer on tap. Overall, its a great local place to go especially if your up visiting the Ritz or around the Dove Mountain area.

I came here with my 3 kids and wife while staying at the Ritz-Carlton in Dove Mountain and I my experience here was pretty average. We ordered the bruschetta and the meatballs as 2 appetizers and both were pretty average. The pizza was good, but I think they were kind of small (12 inches) so I ordered 2 for my family. It really wasn't enough for us. The crust and texture of the pizza was really good, light and fluffy. The best part was their desert, they bake a cookie in a pan and server it topped with vanilla ice cream - probably the best part of the meal. I ended up spending about 80 bucks for a family of 5 on pizza and appetizers which I thought was a bit pricy. Wait staff was awesome.

Their Neapolitan-style pizza is soooo yummy! The simple margherita is my favorite. They have good lunch specials too, like sandwiches that they call paninis, they are in more like a pita pocket, but still delicious. The salads are good too, always fresh. Their specials can be a little spendy, but usually a hit.

  • Jenni L.

It was decent. We ordered the antipasto, which there was too much of and the meat was low quality in taste. The pizzas were bland and I just can't think of a great reason to return. I was very disappointed because I love Noble Hops and since they are owned by the same people I had high hopes for this place.

  • Lindsay S.

Great service, amazing food, impressive selection of beer on tap, nice wine selection and gluten free pasta too! Before I found out I was gluten intolerant this was my favorite pizza place. What a relief I can still enjoy their amazing food! They have gluten free pasta available, just make sure you let them know as soon as you get there that you intend to order it because it takes a little extra time to prepare. My Dad is a big time Vero Amore fan and even he couldn't tell the difference... it was all I could do to keep him away from my food... not that there isn't more than enough to share! The portions are huge... and I mean HUGE. I think I ate my dinner for about three days. *If you are NOT allergic to gluten their baked chocolate chip cookie is to die for--- oh, how I miss it!

Wanted to like this place. Margherita pizza has barely and sauce and very little mozzarella. The San Marzo pasta was super sweet. No one in our large group was happy with their food!

In the land of chains and strip malls, this place certainly stands out. It has a very small dining room, but I personally think its size adds to the overall charm. Live music is often present on weekends. I've taken a few out-of-town guests here and they've all been pleased. The bar features several beer and wine options to compliment any meals (my beer-snob buddy was impressed by the offerings). The pizzas contain fresh ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese. The pasta dishes are unique and not overcooked. Again, the fresh ingredients are noticeable. I strongly recommend this place and was thrilled to pieces when Groupon featured Vero Amore. That reminds me-- I need to use that Groupon certificate! ;)

Four of us went to dinner here on Saturday night. The service was incredible. Misha was our waiter and he was very attentive. By the end of the evening it felt like we were old friends. The four of us shared the antipasto appetizer, which was a perfect variety of meats, cheeses, artichoke hearts and olives. Then we shared the prosciutto caprese salad, followed by the pizza Capricciosa. My boyfriend is a die-hard Grimaldi's fan (the original in New York) and he loved the pizza. Well, we all did, but if you're a fan of New York style pizza, his opinion should count for more than the rest of ours. After the pizza we shared the special, pasta cioppino. It was shellfish in a white wine sauce over linguine and it was cooked to perfection, even the pasta. We shared two bottles of wine and took Misha's recommendation on the second, as we got the last bottle of our first choice. Both were very good. To finish the evening we decided to have warmed Grand Marnier with dessert. Misha ran next door to get the appropriate glasses and comped our dessert, a warm homemade chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and the portions were just right for four people to share one of everything and be satisfied, not stuffed. The staff was attentive and friendly, the ambience was modern and classy, and the food was over-the-top fantastic. I'm looking forward to our next evening there.

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! This is one of the best Italian restaurants (perhaps THE best) that I have had the pleasure of experiencing. The menu is simple, the dishes are fresh and delicious, and the service is outstanding. The salads are phenomenal, the pizzas are authentically Italian, and the pastas are fresh, well seasoned, and just out of this world. Five thousand stars!

  • Chaz D.

The service IS incredible, if waiting an hour in a nearly empty restaurant and then having members of your party get NO food (oops forgot to make your pizza sir, can you wait another 40 minutes?) is your idea of a good time. Went back one more time to give them another chance, still slow and surly. Bad staff, bad manners. Get your pizza at Grimaldi's instead. Too slow, the oven holds two pizzas, yet you have 25 tables? Do the math, this place will always be slow even if everything else improves.

Service was terrible and the pizza was just decent. Nothing special about this place. I was there for a late lunch. Don't have your staff meetings in the restaurant. Wouldn't go back. Small place.

Love Vero! Best food and best staff. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly. Been going for years and have never been disappointed. Last weekend I came in with 10 girlfriends to celebrate my birthday and everyone had a great time and enjoyed great food. They especially went out of their way for us with some Gluten free issues.

OH! Love this place! First off, they have a very good selection of beer and wine and a great happy hour. Sitting up at the bar is fun. The staff is super friendly. Last time I sat up at the bar, the kitchen was experimenting with some new meatballs and gave us some free to try in exchange for our opinion. I seriously haven't met a food item that i don't like here! Their house bread is excellent. I wouldn't say to write home to mom about it, but they do serve it with some amazing herb butter! I also love their pizzas (my favorite is the bianca but I love white pizzas!), bruschetta, and burrata. Caution on the burrata...they do not serve enough bread with it! They have an excellent happy hour with 5 dollar house wines (and like I mentioned above, the selection is great!) and deals on their appetizers and beers. It is a small, quaint place. Very clean. If it is cool enough out, they have a beautiful patio area! This will be a place I frequent! Next time I want to try that cookie!!

So disappointing! I expected more since Noble Hops is one of my favorite restaurants and served great pizzas. We ordered a Caesar salad and pizza bianca al prosciutto. The Caesar salad consisted of brown lettuce with a 2 cup lettuce:1 cup cheese:1 cup dressing ratio. I love cheese, but I could almost drink this salad. Horrible. The pizza was alright as long as you don't like cheese and you like your crust chewy. There was no crunch at all (even the crust) and the cheese barely covered half the pizza. The prosciutto and arugula at least gave the pizza some flavoring and made it somewhat enjoyable. Positives included the wine list, interior, and staff. The wine list, although small, had great options that were well prices. The interior was decorated well but the patio is next to a small playground. We were able to overlook the large number of children running around, but not everyone can. Also the staff was friendly and attentive. All in all, it was a disappointing experience I wouldn't recommend.

Okay all, this is not real authentic Italian. It is watered down wannabe kinda Italian. Pizza is great. Outside of that it has been poor every time we have ordered or been here. Tonight in particular I asked for the Pomodoro cooked Al dente. It arrived soupy and soggy. Apparently THEY PRECOOK THEIR PASTA! As a Sicilian, this is a HUGE error. You NEVER precook pasta because it gets soggy. The manager's response was he would make a fresh one however it would take another twenty minutes. So I guess they overcook it from scratch too! It takes 7 minutes to boil pasta and prepare the Pomodoro while it is boiling. Come on not difficult. Their menu states that everything is made to order so it takes longer and they believe the food is worth the time. Simply they are lying. Oh yeah and the chicken Cacciatore was dry as a bone. Yeah wannabe Italian cooking.

AMAZING!! I tried the prosciutto panini and it was so good!! I went in to get a sandwich for me and my parents and they told me one person couldn't eat a whole one so we got 2 for the 3 of us. I wasn't sure how big they would be but when I opened the box there was more than enough food. We got the Caesar panini and the prosciutto and they were both fantastic and very fresh. I will definitely be going back.

Always has great service and their food is amazing!, probably the best pizza I've ever had and their wood fired bread is to die for, also the pastas here are worth checking out too, also if it's possible to save some room, you have to get the skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, better than a pizookie guaranteed

Ordered Cobb salad to go. Got home, missing ingredients and had brown lettuce. Called and advised manager. Ordered another and picked up with return of first. Second one had ingredients; however, still lots of brown lettuce which can cause food poisoning!

I was very excited to try this restaurant based on the previous reviews and truth is, nothing was horrible, but nothing was spectacular. We ordered the Prosciutto Caprese Homemade mozzarella, prosciutto and fresh sliced tomato on a bed of mixed greens with a basil olive oil dressing. Which is a huge salad FYI and the dressing and ingredients were fresh so by far this should be ordered in the future. Then we had Fettuccini Alfred Fettuccini al-dente tossed with our homemade rich and creamy Alfredo Sauce. Topped with fresh parmesan. Sounds delicious huh? Not so much! The noodles were cooked perfectly al-dente but the sauce lacked any wow and was very heavy handed with the olive oil, and the cream was missing in action. meaning the sauce was basically a large amount of olive oil, butter and some parmesan. We also tried the Pizza Capricciosa Tomato sauce, artichokes, mushrooms, olives, homemade mozzarella and prosciutto. The crust was served blonde (no color) and was somewhat chewy, the prosciutto was just flopped on top of the pizza, and although the veggies were fantastic, the pizza was passable. To top off the experience, the stellar service every one who reviewed this place was talking about, wasn't there. The timing on our food was off by approx 20 minutes. My wine glass set empty for over 20 minutes during my main course and well.... In short, for a $60.00 lunch, I just wasn't impressed. Eat and live well my friends till next we meet.

This place is a small peaceful restaurant that has very nice staff and amazing food. All their food is expertly made from real fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection, with the pizzas and calzones wood fired. It is quality you can taste. It's a little bit more than your average restaurant ($11-$17 per dish) but definitely not a bad price when you look at what you're geting. I couldn't recommend anything because anything you get you will love. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

  • Sylvia M.

What a fantastic happy hour!! I had a glass of moscato that the bartender was kind enough to open fresh for me. It was sweet and delightful. My friend had a coors light and it couldn't have been better :) I enjoy the bar partially because the bartender was so fun and friendly. He insisted we try the cheese garlic bread and it was so good. Not too much, not too little. juuuuust right. I was trying to make myself feel like i was making good healthy decisions so I also had the cobb salad. I am a ranch lover and consider myself a ranch connoisseur, their wasabi ranch is SO good. If it was socially acceptable, i would drink it. My friend had the Pizza Ruspante. It was SO good. They seriously have the best sauce here. Must be made with love... To finish our meal, we had a chocolate chip cookie. I love sweets and this definitely satisfied the craving. I was in heaven. I definitely can't wait to go back and try more delicious food. Super impressed!

Stopped in here after years of living nearby. Ordered the meatballs parmesan appetizer and the quatro formaggi pizza. You can tell they're trying to control costs here by holding back on the cheese. The meatballs were alright. Sauce was a little above average; parmesan was barely present. Sort of forgettable, but not bad. The pizza was supposed to have four cheeses on it - smoked and fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, and parmesan. It was nice and hot when it came out, but the cheese-to-dough ratio was extraordinarily low, and the cheese was nearly tasteless (as if not salted enough). If there was anything smoked on it, or if there was gorgonzola involved, I couldn't taste it. Basically, the pizza was a bunch of dough with a little dollop of bland cheese on each bit. The dough on this particular selection needs some kind of sauce (and perhaps some garlic) if they're going to be that miserly with the rest of the toppings. I wonder whether or not fresh mozzarella adds anything to a pizza; in caprese salad or in other fresh, unmelted forms, it can be quite good. On the pizza, it was nearly tasteless. They seemed to have a pretty good wine selection, but a very spare beer selection. A better selection of beer might bring me in more frequently. As it was I ordered a Barrio Blonde, which is an alright local beer, but I would have liked more choice in this regard. This is not a bad restaurant. It's clean and the interior is pleasant and the staff are friendly enough, but unless it was just an off night or my selections were poor, the food was middling. Mediocre pizza is an ongoing problem in Northwest Tucson. We need less bistros and upscale gourmet "pizza" restaurants and more pizzerias with guys named Tony who know how to make a good foldable New York-style pie. If you are from back east, this will not impress you. I'll try visiting again and I'll order one of their pasta dishes next time.

Taste so fresh and its a couple blocks from home... Double yay! Everything I tasted was de-lish. Staff is warm, knew the menu, had awesome recommendations and they're cute too! Who doesn't like eye candy- meow! Oh! I had the something... Burrata (a caprese salad ;) ) also lassagna and my date had the manicotti. No disappointments whatsoever. I'm pretty sure the fresh mozzarella was made here.

Great service and yummy food. The wood fire bread is absolutely mouth watering!!! We have been to Vero Amore on several occasions (our small, intimate wedding reception, anniversaries, and birthdays). It is a great date night location and wonderful for small intimate groups. I have tried several of the pizzas and pasta dishes and have always been beyond happy with my choices. Truly scrumptious!! Plus their outside sitting area is perfect for nice evenings!

Ate here twice for lunch. The restaurant is so cozy. Great service & great food! The first day I ordered the salad/sandwich lunch special. For $9 I received a giant pepperoni panini sandwich that was filled with veges with a side caesar salad. The second day I ordered the pizza special of the day. It was delicious- it had pepperoni, mushrooms, banana peppers, lettuce, and i think it had balsamic vinaigrette on top. I also ordered a pistachio gelato! The servers are friendly & attentive. Service was quick. If you stay at the Ritz Carlton & you don't want to eat on property, this is a good place to have lunch & dinner!

This place is small and quaint and was referred by the concierge at the Ritz. Glad we went. Had the chicken Mimosa and it was VERY VERY good. The staff was all very friendly and the restaurant is small and quaint. Ma and pa type place. Highly recommend if you're in the area!!!

My guests and myself enjoyed this place. For appetizers we had the bruschetta and the carpaccio. We were informed it was happy hour and that four of the appetizers could be purchased for $4. The pizza is a must-have and you actually get a good portion for the price. The crust was perfect, somewhat crisp and not soggy. After reading such great things about their neopolitan pizza, we were not disappointed. I highly recommend the Pizza Lussuria in particular, though there was quite a lot of red pepper in ours so it's probably not for everyone! The Pizza Anima was great as well, with the andouille sausage holding the spotlight for that pizza. One guest had a Caesar salad (which was HUGE) and reported that it was one of the best she's had recently. The ambiance was pleasant as well and though we sat inside, we observed they have a large, lit and covered patio. We will be back for more.

Today I tried the Prosciutto Panini since all the reviews on here talk about how good the Panini's are. Well i can truly say it was sooo fantastically good. It will now be my new favorite lunch place. Their pizzas are also very tasty. I have posted a picture.

This used to be our favorite pizza place in town. I am really dissapointed that the quality has slipped. Not wanting to admit that it had gone downhill from our previous 2 visits, we tired it again. Same thing, lukewarm pizza, soggy crust in the middle not anything like what it used to be 2 years ago when they opened. I guess that is what happens when the owners open another restaurant and spend all their time there. Service was mediocre, had to ask for water refills.....I think we are done with Vero, what a shame.

Vero Amore is small but quaint restaurant. The service was very personal. We had the brushetta to start then moved on to the Margarita pizza and the lasagna dinner special. Wine list may be small but has a good variety at very reasonable prices.

I've been to the Dove Mountain location of Vero Amore a couple of times. Their pizzas are wood fired and made with fresh ingredients and average around $10-$11. I especially liked the Pizza Capricciosa (tomato sauce, olives, mushrooms, arthichokes, homemade mozzarella, and prosciutto). Great atmosphere and there is outdoor seating. Once when our pizza orders took an extremely long time (I think more than thirty minutes) the waitress was very apologetic, kept us updated on the status, and ended up giving us the pizzas for free. I believe she said they can only cook two pizzas at a time, which could be a problem if you can't wait, but the food and the service are wonderful.

Gosh...next to Grimaldis, this is the best place for pizza. I've been here several times, and we always start our meal with the prosciutto and mozzarella caprese salad. It's large enough to share between three. I can honestly say, I haven't had anything I didn't like. Before you end your meal, the baked cookie in the iron skillet, is a must! It is by far the BEST cookie dessert out there.

From the time we were greeted at the door to our departure, Vero Amore gave us a first class experience. The linguini with meatballs was superb as was the pizza with salami. The thin crust pizza was as good as we have ever had. Moreover, all of the staff was attentive and extremely pleasant. The hostess even opened the door for us when we left. Our stay at the Ritz Carlton was very well-complemented by the time we spent at Vero Amore. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

I really wanted to like it here, but didn't. I went with my mom last night we sat at the bar and ordered a few different apps and a calzone, the only thing we really liked was the marinara sauce and my mom loved the wine she ordered which you can only get by the glass, but she raved about how great it was. Unfortunately for her you can't buy it at a store either, so we might go back just for a couple glasses of wine. Started with the wood fired bread which is served with garlic butter and olive oil the dough had no flavor. The bartender told us the bread was their dough just popped in the wood fired oven and it puffs up kind of like a doughy pita bread. The clams were the frozen kind served in a bland broth. Ceaser salad was just alright, pretty sure they made the dressing fresh but nothing special. The meatballs were pretty much the same thing as the ones served at subway absolutely disgusting. As far as the calzone, well it was made with the same flavorless dough as the wood fired bread and wasn't overly cheesy, which I think a calzone should be. The dough makes the pizza, they need kick up the flavor, maybe salt, not sure what it was missing but it really lacks in flavor. Needless to say we won't return.

Met friends there last night for supper. We each tried a different dish, two ordered pizza and they were great. The other two (us guys) had pasta dishes with names I can't remember. Mine was chicken over bow tie pasta with a champagne white sauce. The other was Tilapia over pasta. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. I really love a good on tap wheat beer (which can be hard to find) they had one and it was great. A great place for lunch or dinner. I can highly recommend Vero Amore at Dove Mountain.

The best food for the price period. Always fabulous pizza and the prosciutto caprese is amazing! My wife and I always look forward to having lunch here, and are always impressed. A great food find!

Best pasta dishes, salads and appetizers !,,, too bad no beef or lamb dishes. Pizza is good.. Kinda yuppie and fancy, but good. only negative I really have is sometimes "friends of the owners" come in, get drunk and make a scene. They mention the owners by name and think they are more important than anyone in the restaurant. They say they are going to tell the owners how the service sucks because they weren't treated special... I eat here all the time, food is brilliant and service is awesome. Drunk girls, who think they are special because they "know the owners or work at the other restaurant...Nobel Hops" ruin it for the locals. I hope the owners realize this and try to put an end to it.

It has been a few years since I've been here and I have to say I am glad the quality of both food and service has not deteriorated. Biz must be good as they have expanded into the adjacent space. The lunch panini's are fantastic and the homemade mozzarella cheese to die for. The wine and beer selection is good and as far as mixed drinks..... lets just say you don't have to ask for a double.

Food was very good. We had the Steamed clams for an appetizer, very good. Perhaps a little too much wine. The garlic toast was good. They make their own bread. Then came the salad the dressing was exceptional, but the greens were the prefab 'bag o greens'. I love good, fresh Iceberg. The pizza was great, very well done. The thing that turned me off was the manager she turned a couple away at 8:59 pm. In the service business you make exceptions to the rule. Tucson in the summer, I would want all the business I could get. They had a chance to make a customer for life and choose to get out a little early. I couldn't help but think they were probably running from some late appointment or a visit to the hospital for a sick relative. Where were they going to eat this far north? McDonalds? Too bad, some get it. Many don't.

I give 4 stars solely on their prosciutto and pepperoni panini, as I've never tried anything else there. There are two locations in Tucson. My fiancée has been going there for years and I don't believe she's eaten anything else there either.

Well, we were hoping that the pizza place near our new home would be acceptable, maybe even good. Unfortunately not. We ordered a take-out bianca pizza with cheeses, prosciutto and arugula, plus a caesar salad, pretty standard fare. Well, the pizza had a thin crust alright, which we prefer, but it was bland, tasteless and slightly rubbery. Also, most of the pizza was crust and you practically had to use a microscope to find any toppings. There were a few small dollops of tasteless cheese, a few leaves of arugula and a tiny bit of prosciutto apparently thrown on after the pizza left the oven. It was close to inedible and definitely boring. The caesar salad was actually inedible. We opened the box and discovered that the romaine lettuce was old and brown. The dressing had no flavor, the "croutons" consisted of two elderly pieces of once-toasted but now- gummy baguette, and that was it, for a whopping $12. We will never get a pizza from this joint again. Go to Zona 78 if you want a decent bianca pizza. Not sure how Vero Amore stays in business. . . . .

Pizza hardley has any cheese. Rate 3 stars. Pasta dishes excellent But no bread served with meal. There $3.50 pizza bread was a poor excuse for Italian bread normally served with pasta dishes.

Decent pizza but not as exciting as the reviews would suggest. Crust was ok but rather bland.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
