This place is worth the drive. It will surprise you beyond belief. The food is home made meaning no can sauce. You can taste the freshness in all the food. Not only are they a restaurant but they have thier own tortilla/bake shop and they sell meet and cheese by the pound. They might be cheep in price's but that is it, everything else is 5 stars. My bill had 3 meal's, 2doz fresh tortilla's, a dozen cookies and 3 pasteries (torts and baked goods were togo) and it was only $45. Everybody in the place is so friendly you feel like you are at a friends house. Trust me you will never see this place on Kitchen Cops!
Stopped in for lunch on the way home from a hike in Aravaipa Canyon. This place is near the Arizona Trail, as well as a lot of other amazing outdoor adventure locations - so it's a perfect place to grab a (giant) burrito to fuel your fun! Service was quick, place is spotless clean and the food is delicious. Did I mention the burritos were huge? They have their own tortilleria/panaderia (bake shop) on the premises so the tortillas were first rate and fresh. They had traditional Mexican favorites as well as some American fare as well - hamburgers, hashbrowns and the like. Stay for a raspado or a pan dulce. You'll be glad you did!
Tortillas MI piblito I remember back then when my Tata would drive me down to the place next to circle K in the mornings to go in a pick up a dozen of tortillas to start the day.:) the place smelt good and was like my Nana's kitchen used to smell like growing up.they were the best things I tasted....I remember walking in there and seeing a hand full of ladies with big smiles on there face making and taking pride in those great tortillas. .as I got older and grew so did the tortilla shop.they expanded got new big building. .and was great to see that...but it seems as they grew there great tortillas went down hill..:(it's kinda like big business syndrome. .lol all about the dollar bill and how much they make..the tortillas are always hard and never could last a couple days at home...i remember I could finish a dozen before they got HARD..now I eat one or two.or next day they no good....:( so please tortilla MI piblito what happened to those happy tortilla makers that took pride in those tortillas that I loved and grew up on.:(

Like eating at your abuelita's house.
This is amazing Mexican food. When my husband, my in-laws, and I go shooting at the Lion's Club shooting range, we always go to La Casita. It has an "A' on the health inspection. The waitresses know us by name and always ask how everyone is. I love the consistency of the food; I have yet to have a bad meal.
Love love love this place for the authentic food. Am I crazy to go there just for tortillas? Maybe but once you try them you will know what I'm talking about. They are huge and thin and buttered, hot and delicious. They are almost like a delicate pastry that you have to fold over a few times to eat. Their chile relleno is the best- I'm sure it's fried in lard but I don't care!! Don't come here if you want bells and whistles just go for real Mexican food and a long drive
