the guys who were working here on the afternoon of Monday March 24th were easily the nicest, most earnest guys I've ever met at a fast food restaurant. I hope the boss sees this and gives them a raise. (unless one of the 20something guys was the owner??? they all treated the place/me that well- seriously.) the blizzard was radical... I asked for chocolate chips and he MADE THEM WITH CHOCOLATE SHELL... GENIUS!!!!! thanks guys!

Signs posted to keep dogs away. Absolutely no pet walking in parking area! So we drove on and found same signs near A&W. Crisscrossing the country, we have not encountered comparable community attitude.

Given limited choices and limited time I opted for a burger at DQ over the more ubiquitous chains in Holbrook. The burger was OK. Probably better than something I would have gotten from McDonald's. At least my food was made to order and not sitting under a heat lamp waiting for some poor soul to want after it. In general I think you have a better shot of freshly prepared (as opposed to actually fresh) food at a DQ Brazier than at the big burger chains.

The place is an older Dairy Queen, the classic sign on the roof shows that. I respect that, and I can understand that the place has definitely been run down over the decades without any real renovations. The problems lie with the somewhat vacant and befuddled staff. Oh, they were very polite and nice. But they seemed in another world, wondering around unsure of the reality they existed in. It took a considerable while to get our orders taken, and even longer as they seemingly discovered that food was in their store and then discovered how to prepare it. When we returned for desert, the entire staff was standing in the corner and then all walked into a back room, leaving us there by ourselves. Eventually a man in a wife beater came up and made us some ice cream. I'm not convinced he was actually an employee. The food itself was not terrible, but certainly substandard. Very sloppily assembled and halfheartedly prepared.

I came to this DQ craving an ice cream cone dipped in chocolate. I ordered this along with a chicken basket with Jalitos. The cone came out a size bigger than I ordered and was dipped in sprinkles rather than chocolate! At first I was disappointed, but it was the best cone I have ever had at Dairy Queen. It was completely covered in sprinkles. It changed my life and my order at Dairy Queen forever.

As far as smalltown DQs go, this one isn't bad. Clean restrooms and friendly staff with the full DQ menu including food (not just ice cream). There is a drive-thru along with ample seating inside. If you need a food ice cream and/or bathroom fix, worth the stop off I-40. Right across from a gas station so if you need to fuel up as well, two birds.

Stopped by for a pit stop and haven't had DQ in forever. From afar the building looks a little run down but the food is good. I had my fair share of cold fast food therefore I can appreciate when my food comes out hot from the fryer. I got the $5, 3 strip meal, I subbed for more fries instead of ice cream, wish I know about the $1 blizzard mini upgrade before I checked out. The lady at the counter was very friendly and nice.

I was so friggin' excited to see a DQ. I have not been to one in years! Unfortunately this was not the best experience I could have hoped for. On our way back to Dallas, we decided that we needed to stop and get something to eat. Everyone voted that DQ was fine and we pulled in. Let me just say that I was shocked and tickled to see that the place was full of bikers. At first I was like oh shit because the only thing I could see was Hell on half of someone's rocker and I was not going to sashay my sexy black self near any Hells Angels. Happy to see it was the Sons of Hell, my family and I went in and ordered some specials. PS, my Mom wouldn't have cared if it was Satan himself, she was hungry and needed a bathroom break. So we go in, order some specials and I be danged if every single order was WRONG. My parents wanted mustard on their burgers and I wanted mayo and ketchup. They put mayo and ketchup on everything. My Dad's sundae came with banana syrup instead of sliced bananas and I never got my Oreo Blizzard. I finally asked where my ice cream was and then they made all of our ice cream over again. Of course my Mom would not eat two sundaes (my Dad could and was fine) so she just left it on the table. We had to ask for our bottles of waters and I just don't know what was on their minds! The food was okay and the people were nice enough, but having to get extremely basic things corrected over and over again was exhausting.

Just had to stop at this old DQ on Route 66 today on our road trip for some lunch. You can tell it's an old building by the small dining area and bathrooms. Seemed clean enough. This DQ also featured Orange Julius. The food was okay - hamburger was subpar - but the desserts were great. Employees were friendly if not abut overwhelmed (seemed understaffed). It was a fun stop with a bit of nostalgia.

This is an older DQ but the staff was extremely friendly and the blizzard I had was very full of "candy stuff". Well worth the drive through ice cream I needed.

As others have pointed out, this is an older Dairy Queen but the products are the same as anywhere I have been. The service was prompt and it is easy access off the interstate for a refreshing travel stop.

This is an older Dairy Queen, but it was clean, the food was good, it was quick and its right off the highway next store to the only gas station not ripping off travelers in the area.

This place is off the highway and really gave us a quick pick-me-up while driving through Arizona. We got plenty of looks and stares from the folks here -- like they've never seen a fucking Asian ordering a banana split before. Well, I did. It was good. The place could have been cleaner though.

One of the ice creams we ordered didn't get done and we had to ask them to do it--and they recharged us for it. Otherwise it was clean and pretty friendly...
